So we have bad news once again for Harvard University. The president is hitting them where it hurts the most. Also, NPR and PBS is now suing the president because he cut federal funds, and the president also received some positive economic news. This just coming into CNN right now, consumer confidence is improving for the first time in six months. The reading beat economists' expectations as progress in President Trump's tariff negotiations are giving Americans a new sense of hope. Markets are also rising on the news over the weekend that President Trump is backtracking,

hitting pause on his proposal to increase tariffs on the European Union. This morning, he said the EU is moving in his word quickly on trade talks. Okay, so this is no question a major win for President Trump in the American economy. This proves once again that consumers are much more confident than what mainstream media would have you believe. Bottom line out front, this report is just telling us that consumers feel confident in spending more money in the economy. So that is great. And it's just interesting to me, just a month ago main-share media was claiming it was going to be Armageddon. Now, here's additional information on this report. Take a look. Americans are feeling a lot better about the economy after a scary

March and April. We saw the consumer confidence in May went up. It went way up. This was better than expected. In fact, this was the biggest one-month increase for consumer confidence. in four years. And when we look at the trend, you can see that confidence really took a hit at the start of this year. You see this really sharp decline in consumer confidence. This, of course, was happening as the president was ratcheting up tariffs and as the stock market was plunging. In fact, confidence had really gotten to the lowest levels since COVID, which is pretty stunning when you think about it. But now we do see this significant uptick coming as there's been some de-escalation in the trade war. And obviously, this is pretty stunning.

historic rebound on Wall Street is also helping to boost confidence. And when we look at the internals of this report, there are a lot of positives here, right? People are feeling a lot better about the current situation. Their short-term outlook went way up. This was the biggest one-month increase for this metric since 2009 during the Great Recession. Also, recession fears, they went down. And this was a widespread shift in sentiment. All right. Now, pay attention to something that he said, this was higher than expected. How many times are we going to continue to hear reports where economists are seeing things that they did not expect that are positive for President Trump? Sooner later, maybe we should just stop listening to them, okay? Because I know politically

they have Trump derangement syndrome, okay? They do not want to give the president an inch on anything. And we know that because all we have to do is just look at the reporting versus when Joe Biden was in office and now President Trump is in office. When Joe Biden was creating record inflation and prices were through the roof, they had nothing to say. And now that President Trump is in office, oh, they have everything to say. So, again, I just think the hypocrisy is bleeding through here. Now that we got that update out of the way, our next story is devastating news for Governor Gavin Newsom. So President Trump has instructed his administration to find ways to stop California from allowing

male athletes to participate in female sports. Take a listen. President Trump is taking name this morning at California Governor Gabon. Gavin Newsom over transgender athletes. The president posting on truth social just a little while ago saying that California under the leadership of radical left Democrat, Gavin Newsom, continues to illegally allow men to play

in women's sports. Please be hereby advised that large-scale federal funding will be held back, maybe permanently, if the executive order on this subject matter is not adhered to. The governor himself said it is unfair and I'll be speaking to him today to find out which way he wants to go.

The president did sign in an executive order in February banning transgender athletes from girls and women's sports. He said any school found not following the order risks losing funding. In his post this morning, the president referenced a transgender athlete who he says won everything at a major event

and is now qualified to compete in the state finals next weekend. He says he is ordering local authorities to not allow that person to compete. Okay, so we already know where this is going, right? People on the left who believe in this nonsense will say that President Trump is abusing his authority. He's an authoritarian. They're going to use all the same terms as we know. But ultimately, they believe he's punishing California and discriminating against

transgender athletes. But anybody with common sense knows the president is protecting Title IX protections for female athletes. Now, this has already been debated politically across the entire country and the people have spoken. They do not want this happening. Now, let's take a look at the nonsense. This is video footage of this male winning the long jump. Take a look. Oh my God. All right. So you. All right. So you. you heard their reaction from that long jump, and what I want to do is kind of go over some key pieces of information with you. Number one, his name is A.B. Hernandez.

He is a junior in high school. Number two, he holds the record for long jump and triple jump. And the numbers are for the long jump, 20 feet, 1.5 inches, and triple jump, 41 feet, and four inches in girls track and field. Number three, he did an interview right after winning these events, by the way, and said that you don't have any proof that I can. can't be beat. Now, he's saying that because he lost in the third event that he had qualified for, which was the high jump. He came in fifth place. Bottom line is this. He beat out two

females, and he's going to go on to the CIF state championships, which is May 30th and 31st. Okay. Now, of course, mainstream media is not focusing on what I just said. They're focusing on the threat coming from the president to Gavin Newsome. Here's what MSNBC had to say about it. Take a listen. First May, now California. Clearly, this issue. having to do with transgender athletes in schools is one, a fight that the president continues to want to pick. Why? Because his base loves it and because he gets to change the message. I don't think that Trump really cares so much about the issue, as much as it deflects a lot of other things, which you'd rather not be talking about. And most currently, I think that's

a combination of the, it was the UK tariffs, or I'm sorry, the European Union, boy, that wasn't easy to get out, terrorists, and as well as the Ukraine story that's starting to bubble up and him getting pushed back from Vladimir Putin. Okay, the only way to make sense of what she said is that she is believing that whoever supports Trump is stupid. They're not willing to do their research. This isn't an issue they actually care about. And that just continues to explain why Democrats are out of touch.

We've said this a million times. That is a prime example. This issue, American moms absolutely care about. American dads absolutely care about. It has nothing to do with politics. It has nothing to do whether or not they support Trump. This is about their children, and particularly their daughters, who are competing against men. What a bizarre moment we're in, Brian, when, you know, you're seeing even Newsom, you know, is forced to agree with what everybody knows is true, but it still happens in his state.

Yeah, you know, it said it was an 80-20 issue. I think it's more like 95-5 issues. Those 95% are against maybe 5%. maybe 5% for it. But I think he's waking up a little bit. He's getting a little pushback out there in his state, but they're still doing it. I know they're doing Illinois.

NPR is now suing President Trump because he is cutting the funding. We know these organizations have been predominantly pushing propaganda against the president

and ultimately upon American citizens. Here's the story on that. Take a listen. NPR is suing the Trump administration. What's this about? Well, it's over the president's executive order purportedly barring the use of congressionally appropriated funds for NPR and PBS. The lawsuit filed in federal court in Washington by NPR and other public radio organizations, including Colorado Public Radio and Aspen Public Radio,

says the president's order violated the Constitution and the First Amendment's protections for freedom of speech. No public events on the schedule for the president today. We've reached out. We're reaching out to the White House regarding this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what their response is. All right, let's understand exactly what's going on here, folks. President Trump signed an executive order on May 1st, directing the CPB, this is the corporation for public broadcasting, to cease federal funds to NPR and PBS, meaning stop spending taxpayer dollars on these organizations. Now, they come back suing the president, crying about their First Amendment rights and how it's being violated. That is a bunch of bull.

President Trump has the authority to freeze federal funds. That's exactly what he's doing with Harvard. Now, here's the nuance, though. Congress passed a law back in 1967 that clearly stated that no official in the federal government is allowed to interfere in these organizations. So I guess the question for the court would be, if President Trump has the authority to freeze federal funds, is that him politically interfering in these organizations or not? I think it would be easier if the president got Congress to terminate NPR.

I've often thought for many years. we don't need a federally funded official media outlet like the totalitarian countries have. We don't need it at all. But Congress has enacted it. And so only Congress can undo it. What really should be looked at here, folks, and I think bulk of the frustration should be directed at Congress because they just seem to be incompetent. They're not doing anything here to support his agenda.

Now, one could argue that the big, beautiful bill does that. Sure, fine. But that doesn't cover a majority of his executive orders. Let's just be honest about that. Now, this segues into our next story where President Trump and his administration is cutting ties with Harvard completely. Take a listen. These cuts in federal contracts regarding Harvard worth about $100 million sent out in a memo today to all federal agencies. And Newsmax has it.

Take a look. This letter signed by the U.S. General Services Administration orders federal agencies to start providing a list of contracts with Harvard that, will need to be cut. It also recommends that agencies seek alternative vendors for future services where they had previously consider Harvard, so maybe giving it to other schools instead of Harvard. This letter blames the cuts on Harvard's uncooperative stance to crack down on anti-Semitism on campus, as well as alleged race discrimination in its mission admissions process. If the agencies find that Harvard is the only suitable option for a contract, the government is ordering them to provide a reason for why the Ivy League schools

should be kept on the federal government's books. The directive to cancel Harvard's contracts expected to affect at least nine federal agencies. All right. Now, let me give you the rundown here. President Trump is hitting Harvard word hurts the most. Bottom line up front here, this war, it's going to hurt Harvard more than it hurts the president. Let me explain to you why in four different ways. Number one, he's already freezing $3 billion worth of federal research funds.

Number two, like you just heard in that clip, he's ordered the GSA to end all contracts by June 6. Number three, we already know the Department of Homeland Security has revoked Harvard status in regards to accepting foreign national students. They make up at least 27 percent of their enrollments. And number four, the IRS is already looking to revoke the nonprofit status of Harvard University. So when you take all that into consideration, just maybe Harvard needs to rethink their strategy here because it's going to hurt them more than it's going to hurt the president. Okay, now here's what one law professor from Harvard had to say on MSDNC last night. Take a listen. Now is Professor Lawrence Tribe, who has taught constitutional law at Harvard Law School for five decades.

Professor Tribe, what is your response to Donald Trump's latest attack? Well, it's really hard, Lawrence, to know where to begin. He's obviously unhinged. He has no idea what he's talking about. He just thinks that slinging around, frankly, BS about the people at Harvard and other institutions will somehow substitute for taking the law into account. He has been throwing everything he can at Harvard, and courts have put a stop to it. All right. So everything he's said is definitely misleading. The president is not unhinged.

He has the authority to do this. And what I find fascinating between these individuals is that they have nothing to say for the anti-Semitism. It's interesting. They spend more energy complaining about what President Trump was doing, but they have nothing to say about what went on on. that campus. I just find that to be fascinating. I mean, you know, you'd think they'd be also speaking about that in finding ways to prove to the president, we've done something to fix it.

But they refuse to work with the president. And so this is just going to continue to escalate. And speaking of escalation, Representative Glenn Ivy is in El Salvador. This was actually yesterday, looking to meet with Mr. Kilmar-Abrigo Garcia. Here is the video of that. Take a look. I'm the congressman that represents Tomar. I came all the way down from the United States after we've contacted their ambassador, after we'd made formal requests to our ambassador to the El Salvadoran government. And we came here to visit him today. And now they're telling us, we've got to go all the way back to San Salvador to get a permit.

That's ridiculous. We ought to have a chance to come in and visit. They knew we were coming. They knew why we were coming. And they know we have the right to do this. So they need to just cut the crap. Let us get in there and have a chance to see him and talk with him. We got his lawyer here.

Got somebody from the unions here to talk with him. Let us in. Stop playing games. Let us have a chance to talk with it. All right. Now you're really going to hear my opinion. These people are morons. I agree with what the White House is saying here.

Right. Let me just read it to you. This moron spent his Memorial Day trying and failing to visit a criminal, illegal, immigrant, gangbanger in a foreign country. For Democrats, they love criminal illegals. over American citizens every single time. And it's just ridiculous. Just look at his language. Today, I was denied access to seeing my constituent.

The guy is not even an American citizen. What do you mean constituent? It's just total disrespect, man, especially on Memorial Day. I mean, you'd think you'd wait a couple of days after maybe, or you would have, you know, did this on Friday. But on Memorial Day, give me a break. And here is another bombshell update to the ongoing, Biden scandal that Democrats are looking to make money off of.

It is being reported that they now know who was actually running the White House. I don't think you'll be shot. Take a listen. Bombshell revelations claiming the former president's close aides. They were the ones really running the show and that they reportedly felt justified, taking, quote, undemocratic action to keep Biden in the White House for another four years and President Trump out of the White House. And all this raises troubling new questions about the alleged cover up and House Republicans

are threatening. investigations to find the facts and uncover the truth. Yeah, but once they launched these investigations, you know what Democrats will say. Oh, here we go again. Republicans are now weaponizing the federal government to investigate their political opponents. No, this absolutely is worthy of an investigation. If you're telling me that the president wasn't making any decisions whatsoever and it was people around him in his inner circle who was the ones calling the shots,

yeah, I think an investigation is warranted here. Now, let's hear more details on this. Let me read your quote. One five people were. running the country and joe biden was at best a senior member of the board well i've been a chief principal to a to a principal and i know dana has to and when we are we near a staffer for principal you trust the staffers instincts you are not elected they are and you have to trust their judgment and unfortunately you've got a situation where many of these aids and i hope i harbor

this animus they have been around since the clinton administration they work for clinton they work for obama they work for hillary clinton now they work for biden and i would like to see some of accountability. These are the same people who have been moving the Democratic Party into a place of elitism and out of touch with regular working people. And I would love some accountability over these folks because I think their judgment has been wrong and they have screwed up the Democratic Party in a big way. So best believe we'll be waiting to see these interviews in the House Oversight Committee of these Biden aides and what they really have to say for themselves. I hope there is a thorough investigation and I hope they make everything public so people can see that political leaders, especially the people surrounding them,
