It's Easter weekend and we get another reminder about the failed policies coming out of California
and how bad Governor Gavin Newsom has been. On one hand, when it comes to the Pacific Palisades
fire is being reported that only 30 homes have been rebuilt after more than a year. And $186 billion
worth of fraud has been exposed. Also, the president offered up an update regarding Iran. We'll get to
all of this in this video. But let's start with this Pacific Palisades fire recovery. Take a listen.
It has been more than a year since fires destroyed entire neighborhoods across the Los Angeles area.
By CNN's count, at least 16,000 structures in L.A. County, 16,000 homes, businesses, other buildings were destroyed or damaged in January 2025 because of the fires.
15 months later, L.A. counties permitting progress dashboard reports about 2,000 building issues have been, building permits have been issued just over 1,000 homes are currently underconstructed.
How many have been completed of the 16,000?
30,000. Not 30,000.
30. And there's another story lurking in those grim numbers.
The CNN's Nick Watts discovered, shockingly, all the losses have not stopped one of these homeowners' associations
from demanding thousands of dollars from its members and giving them just about a month to pay up.
It's just been the worst year ever, and this is the cherry on top.
52 homes in this community burnt to the ground in January 25, many more damaged.
Ryan Harmon had to flee.
I want to go home. Look at that.
They still haven't moved back home.
You see, the reason why we're kicking today's video off with this particular story is because
DeVorey loves to talk about things that are actually impacting everyday Americans.
And this is another one of those examples, especially people in California,
Southern California, that is, Pacific Palisades, where the governor has completely
failed them, including the mayor.
We already know there was a recent poll
that came out that said people have lost confidence
in Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass,
and I think this is just another example.
Why?
I mean, when you have 16,000 structures
that were either damaged or burned,
but you only have 30 homes
that have actually been rebuilt
and it's been 15 months,
yeah, that is a colossal failure.
And now people are trying to run scams on them
like these homeowner associations. Let's continue.
Like so many, he's been dealing with, sometimes fighting with,
insurance companies, mortgage companies, contractors,
and then a letter arrived from the Homeowners Association.
We were all like, what? You know, you have to read the letter a few times to go,
are they really saying that? Are they really threatening me?
Here's the letter from July, a demand for $23,614 to replace fences, irrigation, shrubs, and trees.
34 days to pay or face late fees and interest. For those with hardship or questions, please
contact the management office for possible assistance. At least one lawsuit has been filed for
non-payment. So imagine this. During COVID, they refuse to allow landlords to evict people.
Makes total sense. But they're not protecting homeowners currently today who are being threatened
by homeowners associations. Oh yeah, let me throw one up. One more example in
for you. They definitely passed
legislation in Los Angeles County
that prevented landlords from evicting
illegal aliens.
But hey, someone
who had their home burn down
still owes money to the homeowners
association. You guys see the
disconnect there? This is what I'm
saying. People who continue
to rage against this administration,
they need to focus on their
own backyard, their own community, because
there's a lot of people suffering. And this
is just a prime example. Ted,
LA County launched this investigation that Rachel just brought up. And the numbers we're seeing,
January 2025, State Farm drops more than 2,000 County L.A. area residents. That's five months
before those fires started. Why did they do that? Well, I think they were doing it because they were
losing money. They probably had too much concentration actually in that L.A. Basin. That's no
excuse for not paying out on claims and making sure that claims are being paid out in a timely
manner and in a fair way. But we have huge challenges in the state of California. You also have to look
to the governor and the legislature and what have they done in terms of putting the right
infrastructure in place to fight fires and also the wildfire aspect. What are we doing to manage
our forests properly? So you've got the insurance commissioner with chaps,
challenges that we've had over the years from a regulatory standpoint, creating onerous regulations
that have actually forced companies out of the market.
So on one hand, it'd be easy to blame these insurance companies, but I don't think we're
shocked by their behavior because this is what large corporations do.
They will always look out for their bottom line.
But unfortunately, when you have a governor and a legislator who does not share that same
mindset for the people of California, yeah, this is exactly what you're going to get.
But let's up the ante because it's not just that going on.
It's also these fraud allegations that has led to eight people being arrested for a hospice fraud.
That's what they're calling it.
Let's go to that now.
Saturday in America's fraud investigations bring us to the Golden State of California.
Look at this number, $146 billion.
Health and Human Service officials confirm that number to Chris Rufo as the staggering amount of fraud in a
single program in Gavin Newsom state Medicaid system. Stop and think about that.
$146 billion, a single program, a single state. That is slightly more than Warren Buffett's
estimated net worth. It is more than the GDP of several small countries like the Marshall Islands
in Dominica, just to name a few. And it is well over $100 billion more than the most valuable
NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys. That is just for Medicaid, just in California. So imagine what the
total number of fraud is when you count all the social programs in all 50 states. The Trump
administration is imagining that, and they are now taking action in a stunning raid of hospice
facilities in Gavin Newsom's California. Now, just this week, the Justice Department announced
eight people were arrested, accused of defrauding the state out of more than $50 million. That
includes one couple who runs a hospice care center in Anaheim, and in dramatic fashion, authorities
swarm their residents sawing through the metal front gates of the property and used a loud
speaker to get them to come outside. The couple is accused of defrauding taxpayers to the tune of
$7 million. And according to reports, their center has been a problem for years.
See, if I had it my way, this type of story as well would be front page news. I'd be talking about it
left and right. Every week we make space to expose fraudsters being caught in our local communities.
But again, this is not what the governor is focused on. He could care less about this. How do we know that?
Look at the high speed rail folks. Look at the capital building. I don't think they're really
interested in cracking down on fraud because their mindset is this. It's not enough fraud.
Even though me and you know billions of dollars of fraud is a problem. I think the number was what again?
it was $146 billion.
That's not enough for Democrats.
I guess they're hoping it gets to a trillion.
Then they will do something about it.
Let's go to Dr. Oz.
Here's what he had to say earlier.
Take a listen.
Dr. Oz, our viewers are grateful that you are taking action.
And I just want to confirm that amount from you, $146 billion.
That's one program in California.
How big do you think this fraud is nationwide?
Well, the $146 billion is a total amount of the Medicaid.
program. So obviously not the whole program is fraudulent, but there's significant amounts of it.
We believe nationwide, it's about $100 billion in Medicare and Medicaid. Okay, let me give you
an idea of what that really means to American people, because these numbers become science
fiction after a while. If you're worried about Medicare being there for you, this golden
safety net that we have, the crown jewel of our program, and you're worried it's going to expire
because the trust fund's in trouble, this fraud, getting rid of it will double the life expectancy
of the Medicare trust fund.
That's a massive increase in numbers of years
of extra Americans who can trust
that the program will be there for them.
The amount of wasted money drives up
the cost of all health care.
And of course, when we're facing
an affordability crisis across the board,
this is a perfect place for all of us to focus.
And Democrats have a hard time defending
that they've been looking the other way
for the last four years.
You see, it's not that they turn the other way,
is that they don't believe
in cracking down on crime.
Now, why is this so important
as we continue to repeat the same point,
well, as we approach the midterms,
you're going to have people go into the ballot box
and vote for Democrats
because they've been led to believe
that this party will deliver economic freedom
to the American people.
That is so far from the truth.
So far from it.
How can you deliver economic freedom
if you're allowing millions to cross the border illegally,
millions to get free benefits from our tax dollars,
and you refuse to crack down
on fraud. There's no efficiency there if that makes sense. So, you know, it's not just them looking
the other way. They just don't care. The state has been, he claims, targeting fraud for years and
years. Watch. 2021, we did a moratorium on new hospice program. 280, we shuddered. We've been after
this for years and years and years. We want an open hand, not a close fist. We absolutely are here
to be a partner to go after waste fraud and abuse. No one's denying
these issues. But let's also not deny this is purely political.
Okay, here's a different take, though. Here's a headline on substack. Gavin Newsom's empire
fraud. Newsom is not untouchable, and the scale of fraud in California appears far larger than
in Minnesota, despite his claim to have taken decisive action against one former fraud.
The broader problem is real and ongoing. And taxpayers in California and across the country
have reason to be furious. See, this is the problem with politics.
in our country in the year of 2026. When we disagree on things, one party wants to reach towards
race. They want to use skin color as a way to push back on legitimate criticism. And that's just a lazy
way to even have a conversation, essentially. Well, I guess you can argue they're not even
trying to have a conversation, right? But these are legitimate questions. Where is all the money going?
You already had the problem with the Pacific Palisades fire. You had the problem with
illegal immigration in California. You have the low quality of lifestyle overall in California. I mean,
what he's done to the state is nothing short of a mess. And, you know, for all the promises out there,
none of them he's been able to deliver on. So yeah, I think people should definitely start asking questions.
I think that's definitely fair. It's not harassment and it's not racism. Let's continue.
I'll give you the final word here on Gavin Newsom and how much more fraud you think you're going to uncover.
in that state.
Yeah, in response to the governor, not good enough.
Not good enough.
They've not taken fraud seriously for over a decade here in California.
They've let people out of prisons.
They've decriminalized it.
I call him the fraud king for a reason.
He has reigned over billions and billions of dollars of fraud,
whether we're investigating homeless fraud,
EDD fraud, and now hospice fraud.
It's going to be into the hundreds of billions of dollars under his watch.
Remember, none of this fraud could happen unless California issued these licenses.
California is responsible for administering hospice programs, licensing these doctors,
and they are supposed to have passed regulations by January 1st of this year that were called by
the otter in California.
He said, California does not have sufficient regulations to crack down on fraud.
He's refusing to implement those regulations because he doesn't want to own the problem.
We're going to do our job.
You're going to see a lot more fraud.
We're going to work hand in hand with this task force.
And I think it's going to be in the hundreds of billions eventually.
So there's a heads up.
If you're in California, you might want to think twice about who you're elected, especially at the local level.
You may not be able to control who becomes the next governor, but you can't control who's regulating your local county and city.
Look no further to Karen Bass.
What she's done to Los Angeles, again, is a total mess.
Los Angeles County has actually learned that they have the highest number of people in one year that has left the county.
in any other part of the country.
So I think results tell the story.
She's absolutely failed.
All right.
Well, I guess if we want to pile on here,
listen to this story.
Only on Fox 11.
Tonight, a U.S. Post Office overwhelmed by trash
and homeless encampments.
Fox 11 is Matthew Seedorf with more.
It's unbelievable that this post office
is even open.
Customers maneuvering around trash
and homeless encampments.
The image is shocking.
So this is the entrance to the post office right here.
Disturbing.
conditions right outside this downtown LA post office somehow still open surrounded by trash.
Mounds of garbage flooding the parking lot, old TVs, stripped copper wire and rats.
What it's like out here?
Girls and no work.
Some people living here for years, others, months.
You know who you're talking to?
We can't trust anybody really.
Is it safe?
No.
Ariana Montero inviting us into her encampment.
Inside a dog, shelves, a fan, even a refurb.
refrigerator. How do you guys get power? Now if you're from California, this is nothing new,
but for the rest of the people across the country, this is a shocker. I mean, anybody knows you don't
have to look very far to find where homeless will be able to set up shop. Usually it's in front
of government buildings, your local public library, your DMV, your Social Security office,
and definitely the post office.
So I'm not shocked by that.
But why don't we go to the person who represents that district?
Here's what she had to say, Ms. Hernandez.
She says, quote,
our office has been closely monitoring the situation.
That is a usual Democrat reaction.
And we are coordinating outreach services
and a site cleaning next week.
We are also in communication with city partners
about additional options,
including deploying further personnel
and support to this location.
What does that sound like to you?
The same playbook that,
Donnie's trying to use. Let's bring in more social workers instead of the police. But hey,
again, this is what you get at the local level. They think they have a better way of fixing this
problem. But look at this. Hernandez's office said it has already invested more than $27 million
in care first interventions in and around McArthur Park. Doesn't look like it's been working to me.
Obviously, this is a post office.
Honestly, we're blessed that they haven't said anything.
Right across the street is one of the busiest fire stations in the city of LA.
They say 80% of their calls are related to the homeless.
Do you worry about your safety?
It's crazy, yeah.
I'm from Guatemala.
They say help from the city has been hard to find.
I see that aida?
No.
No.
Arita no.
In a statement to Fox 11, Councilwoman Eunicee Hernandez says they've been monitoring the area with outreach and a cleanup planned next week.
I've been sleeping bus stops.
I've been chased by men.
But encampments and trash remain outside the post office where some say they want help.
I'll jump on in a little for a second.
And they haven't done that?
No, not over here.
The councilwoman says they're going to be out here as early as next week,
clearing it all up and offering resources.
So good part of this video has been about California.
It serves as a careful reminder to people out there politically who think voting in progressives
is going to be the answer to all of your problems. In fact, it won't be. It will only amplify your
existing problems and create new ones because here's the way it works. Let's let problems get out of
control so then we can create more government programs so then we can make more money.
Because they can't tell you where the money went regarding to homelessness. They definitely can't
tell you what happened with the money and why it's so slow that only 30 homes have been built in
response to the Pacific Palisades fire. They can't tell you what happened to the money regarding
the high-speed rail, but they can tell you everything they don't like about President Trump.
Seems like their priorities are out of whack. So speaking of priorities, let's go to our next story,
which involves President Trump. He is staying in Washington, D.C. over Easter weekend here to ensure
the rescue and the safety of bringing that pilot home. Again, this comes as yesterday in F.5,
ECHO was shot down by Iranian forces.
One pilot was rescued.
The other one has not been at this point.
So let's hear exactly what's going on at this point.
Take a listen to.
Notably, the White House says that the president is staying in D.C. this Easter weekend.
He did not go to Florida, as he often does on the weekends.
Now, this decision to remain in the nation's capital comes as the immediate focus continues
to be on those search and rescue operations.
We know the president has been briefed on this, and just last night, his national security team
was meeting at the White House.
And meanwhile, though, Laura, broader questions are continuing about what comes next
and will the president order boots on the ground in Iran.
Now, we didn't see the president yesterday either in person, but I do want to show you
what he wrote on truth social yesterday, some of his latest comments on this conflict.
He wrote that, quote, with a little more time, we can easily open the Hormuz straight and
make a fortune.
So this actually takes us to the latest update from the president.
He posted a video showing airstrikes that were conducted in collaboration with Israeli forces and our military in Tehran.
And the thinking here is that they were essentially successful in obliterating whatever leadership is allegedly left of the IRGC.
I mean, that always remains to be seen because when an F-15 was shot down, it continues to demonstrate that clearly they have some level of military capability left.
And so let's go to that video now and then we'll talk more about this conflict. Watch.
All right, there is so much to say about this particular conflict, but let's start with the facts first.
Fact number one, the president of the United States will ultimately make a decision that the American people will never understand.
This might be that one for Donald J. Trump.
Secondly, it's no secret that a lot of Americans out there have PTSD from Iraq and Afghanistan for good reason.
We were clearly lied to.
Number three, it's also true that the RGC has been murdering American soldiers over the past few decades,
and Donald J. Trump is the only one who had the balls to actually deal with them.
Kudos for him for that. And number four, the reality here is there's a deadline. It's the end of April, folks. If he goes past the end of April, he's going to need congressional approval. And so the bottom line here is the president's halfway through. We want this to be successful. But he needs to wrap this up sooner than later. And if not, he's going to run into issues with Congress. Now, speaking of that, let's hear from a member of Congress. Senator Sheehee out of the great state of Montana. Here's what he had to say.
And Senator Shehee, you're a Navy SEAL.
You served this country.
I would be remiss if I didn't ask you about the missing F-15E pilot who was in our prayers at this moment.
Well, of course, anytime we have a killed or missing service member, all of us are extremely, you know,
we're praying for that individual in their family.
Of course, keep in mind, we've lost one, perhaps two aircraft to combat fire thus far in this campaign.
And about the same amount of time during the first Gulf War and 91 against Saddam Hussein's Iraq,
we lost about 43 U.S. aircraft enemy fire.
So the ratio here is pretty good.
Our air defense extinguishment efforts have gone fantastically well.
What's going on now is you've got your combat search and rescue teams, your Air Force Special Operations Command.
They are trained exactly for this mission.
They exist for one purpose to search for find and rescue down pilots.
And these pilots go through extensive sea or training survival is evasion resistance escape.
They're well trained for this.
So of course, he's in the best hands possible.
And hopefully we see him back soon.
Yeah, they are truly the best of the best.
Senator Tim Shehee, thank you.
So at this time, there are reports swirling around on the internet that says that they have
located the second pilot, but we have not heard any confirmation of, as of recording this
video, that they have rescued that second pilot.
So obviously continue to pray for his rescue and his safety.
And let's continue to root for the success of this overall mission.
All right.
Now, I think the best way to end this video given this weekend when it comes to East,
is a message from Victor Glover.
He is the captain, the astronaut on this flight that's going to essentially pass by the moon.
It's a 10-day flight.
It is history because we haven't been there in somewhere around 40 years or so.
Here's a message he recorded, and I thought it's fitting for this weekend and a great way to sum up today's video.
Take a listen.
When Westcham first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different.
People thought denim on denim was peak fashion.
Mine skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel.
While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get when WestJet welcomes you on board.
Here's to Westjetting since 96.
Travel back in time with us and actually travel with us at westjet.com slash 30 years.
I'm glad you brought that up, though.
I think these observances are important, and as we are so far from Earth and looking back at, you know, the beauty of creation,
I think for me, one of the really important personal perspectives that I have up here is I can really see Earth as one thing.
And, you know, when I read the Bible and I look at all of the amazing things that were done for us who were created, it's, you have this amazing place, this spaceship.
You guys are talking to us because we're in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you're on a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us a place to live in the universe and the cosmos.
So maybe the distance we are from you makes you think what we're doing is special,
but we're the same distance from you.
And I'm trying to tell you, just trust me, you are special.
In all of this emptiness, this is a whole bunch of nothing, this thing we call the universe.
You have this oasis, this beautiful place that we get to exist together.
I think as we go into Easter Sunday thinking about, you know, all the cultures all around the world,
whether you celebrate it or not, whether you believe in God or not,
this is an opportunity for us to remember where we are, who we are, and that we are the same
thing and that we got to get through this together. That's a very good message. And, you know,
the hope in me, what motivates me every day is I could be someone that continues to encourage
people to think like that, to get back to agreeing to disagree politically. It's just unfortunate that
politics has taken the main seat when it comes to life. And it really shouldn't. It really
should be in the back seat. The front seat should be our relationship with obviously our God,
whoever you believe in, and our relationship with our significant other, our spouse, our husband,
our wife, and our children. And definitely politics should come after all of that, really.
But I'd be sitting here lying telling you if it's not that way currently. So hopefully that message
was great. You guys enjoyed it. And hopefully you enjoy this entire video. But as I always ask,
You guys, give me your thoughts, your opinions in the comments section below, whether it's the failed fire response, as in 30 buildings out of 16,000 structures have been rebuilt in Southern California.
A colossal failure, whether it's the $186 billion worth of fraud in one year, or this update regarding the Iran War, give me your thoughts, everything you got in the comment section below.
All right, so let's go to this next video, in case you missed it because it was a good one.
New York City and Virginia have been dealt a fatal reminder once again.
Because when you elect these far left progressives, they're so soft on crimes and enforcing the law that fatal outcomes continue to happen.
That's exactly what took place in both of those locations.
And we talked about it.
So if you guys missed out on the video, more updates from yesterday.
Click on it because it's coming up right now.
