Starting point is 00:00:00 In today's video, SCOT has just issued another shocking ruling that hands President Trump a massive win. The new prime minister of Canada met with President Trump, and let's just say things got interesting. And Scott Besson just delivered a major update on the trade war with China. We do have some breaking news out of the Supreme Court. The court will allow the Trump administration to begin enforcing a ban on transgender service members. The justices were, however, divided on this. Let's go to CNN Chief Legal Affairs correspondent Paula Reid. Tell us what the court decided here.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Brianna, this is a big victory for the Trump administration. As you may remember, this ban, it's one of the first policies that President Trump put forth during the early days of his administration. But it has been tied up, like many of his policies, in the lower courts. But his lawyers kept telling me that they were confident if they could get this policy and many others before the conservative supermajority at the Supreme Court, that they would be allowed to proceed. And here the Supreme Court is allowing the. administration to move forward with a ban on transgender individuals in military service. Now, under this ban, service members who have a current diagnosis or history of or exhibit symptoms consistent with gender dysmorphia will be processed for separation from military service.
Starting point is 00:01:18 The Pentagon will also not allow transgender Americans to join any branch of the military. Now, as you noted, the three liberal justices dissented from the decision, but did not explain their position. But again, a very notable victory for the administration because the long game that they are playing here is to try to get all of these policies before the Supreme Court in the hope that most, if not all of them, will ultimately be upheld. Number one, I agree with this decision, having served 13 years in the Army myself. I do not believe transgender should be serving in the armed services, let alone infantry positions. I do believe that it is a mental illness, and I'll just keep it right there.
Starting point is 00:02:01 You guys may disagree with me. That's fine. Number two, 4,240 military personnel have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. So those are the people who will be targeted as far as getting discharged. And in case you didn't know this, which brings me to number three, from 2015 to 2024, DOD has paid out $52 million in related medical treatments. Understand something. When I served, they wouldn't even pay.
Starting point is 00:02:26 for my braces that I desperately needed, but they were paying for sex changes. How do you make sense of that? Now, let's listen to what the left has to say, because they sound deflated over this. The United States Supreme Court today is allowing Donald Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the military to go into effect. That's despite the fact that lower courts had blocked the policy and said it was not supported by evidence and that it violated equal protection principles. The Supreme Court granted the government's emergency applicant.
Starting point is 00:02:56 to allow the ban to be implemented while challenges moved through the courts in a brief, unsigned decision which noted that the three liberal justices dissented. The legal groups representing the plaintiffs said in response to the ruling, quote, the court has temporarily sanctioned a policy
Starting point is 00:03:12 that has nothing to do with military readiness and everything to do with prejudice. Transgender individuals meet the same standards and demonstrate the same values as all who serve. Okay, so let's understand what the left is saying. All right. They're arguing that this ban could lead to the removal of dedicated and decorated officers from military service. My question for these individuals is this. Where was that passion and energy and defense for the military veterans who were also dedicated and decorated when they were removed for not taking the COVID vaccine?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Right. So again, hypocrisy here, double standards. Transgender is obviously a mental illness, but they want to defend it. okay. Now, let's continue to hear how deflated they are, but now they're explaining that this is not over, actually. Take a listen. So what happens now? Those discharges can begin. The litigation, however, Cura does continue. It's in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals out in California. That means ultimately the Supreme Court could actually take up this case on the merits. But what the court is signaling today is that the President of the United States is owed broad deference over how the military is run and who they can allow into the United States. military. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has argued that transgender service members pose a problem
Starting point is 00:04:32 for unit cohesion and military readiness, lethality, although judges have found no evidence of that. But today, again, with this Supreme Court decision, the administration can move forward with the same policy it had back in the first term, removing those service members, around 4,000 of them, though the Biden administration allowed them to serve. So a dramatic change and a real setback for those who did serve and those who have sacrificed for their country here. So here's the reality, folks. Being trans in the military absolutely impacts readiness in a negative way. And I'll prove it to using three main reasons.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Number one, hormone treatments. Obviously, that impacts the emotional state of an individual. Number two, gender affirming care absolutely impacts their physical state, which leads to number three. Are they actually ready to deploy? Do you guys understand the word readiness, right? What are we ready for? We're ready to deploy. That's a whole point of being in the military. So if you're taking these hormone pills and you're getting surgeries, you're not going to be
Starting point is 00:05:33 ready to deploy. That's as simple as I can make it. Now here is the Secretary of Defense this morning saying this. We are leaving wokeness and weakness behind. No more pronouns, no more climate change obsession, no more emergency vaccine mandates, no more dudes in dresses. We're done with that shit. We're focused on letality, meritocracy, accountability, standards, and readiness. Okay, so on to our next story, as you guys may have heard already, and maybe you've seen it. President Trump met with the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney. Bottom line up front, it's very interesting if you pay attention to his body language in tone that not only is he rusty, but I think it's a lot for him to have his. first high-profile meeting with President Trump as the new prime minister. And I think he owes a lot to President Trump because everybody says he only won because of President Trump.
Starting point is 00:06:59 So let's take a look at a few of these highlights, starting with, I think, the most viral one where President Trump says point blank, there's nothing that Mark Carney can say that will make him remove the tariffs that he has on Canada. Take a listen. Let's clarify, Mr. President, is there anything that Mr. can say to you today to change your mind on tariffing in Canada? Tariffing cars. Is there anything he could say to you in the course of your meetings with him today
Starting point is 00:07:26 that would get you to lift tariffs on Canada? No. Why not? Just the way it is. If the United States don't want it, would you respect that? Sure, I would. But this is not necessarily a one-day deal. This is over a period of time.
Starting point is 00:07:45 They have to make that decision. So that was the media trying to, obviously. bait the president into another, I guess, clickbait moment or a blow up, which isn't going to happen. This was a very friendly exchange. You could tell Mark Carney does not like President Trump, obviously, because he's a globalist. We know that. And President Trump threatens their agenda. I think that much is clear.
Starting point is 00:08:07 However, he also has to, I guess, have some level of respect for President Trump because he wouldn't be the prime minister if it wasn't for him. So there's that. And third, I don't think there is anything that could be said. I totally am in agreement with that because the prime minister confirmed that he feels the same way. Take a listen. And to your question about, is there one thing? No, this is a bigger discussion. There are much bigger forces involved.
Starting point is 00:08:34 And this will take some time and some discussions. And that's why we're here to have those discussions. And that is represented by who's sitting around the table. See, the conflict is. And this is very friendly. We're not, this is not going to be like, we had another little blow-up with somebody else. That was a much different, this is a very friendly conversation, but we want to make our own cars. We don't really want cars from Canada.
Starting point is 00:09:01 And we put tariffs on cars from Canada, and at a certain point, it won't make economic sense for Canada to build those cars. And we don't want steel from Canada because we're making our own steel, and we're having massive steel plants being built right now as we speak. We really don't want Canadian steel and we don't want Canadian aluminum and various other things because we want to be able to do it ourselves. Now, if you guys are paying attention, Donald Trump is the same guy, no matter what room he goes in, right? And he is just calmly rejecting and destroying the globalist that Mark Carney really is,
Starting point is 00:09:39 okay? That's exactly what's happening. And he's doing it in a very respectable. Matt. I think President Trump is a guy who could disrespect you in such a nice way. I mean, I think he has an ability to actually do that. And you see it every time he's sitting down with these heads of state. So that's exactly what's taking place. And he's right. We should be the predominant producer of like at least 90% of manufacturing in our own country. Now, let me show you what both sides are saying. Here is the Michigan Secretary of State Democrat and her take
Starting point is 00:10:10 on President Trump and these tariffs on Canada. Take a listen. But talk about the tariffs specifically. Michigan, there in Detroit, it's the only place in the states that I know of where you actually go south to go to Canada. I mean, and the way that Detroit and Windsor, Ontario have been sort of integrated all this time, the way the auto industry, you know, vehicles cross borders, parts of vehicles cross borders. how is that impacting people in your state? Yeah, we are a border state. We border Canada, and so our relationship with Canada,
Starting point is 00:10:49 and that border is very critical to our own specific economic power and influence and prosperity. And so all of this has created a lot of damage to our state's economy in particular, and also the fact that we build things in Michigan is a great thing. We want to build more things in Michigan. That's one of the things that has helped our economy thrive. But at the same time, these reckless tariffs have not been specific enough to help us build more things, they've only caused a lot of economic pain and
Starting point is 00:11:15 duress. So her take highlights the hypocrisy and how disingenuous Democrats can be. She's pinned in on Trump on why Detroit and the state of Michigan is struggling. That's a joke. That state's been struggling for at least 40 years. Let's just be honest about it, okay? But of course, they're not going to say that because it's President Trump. And that's what we deal with. Every time we have to cover these stories, you know, you're never dealing with people on the left who are literally being honest. They just can't do it with President Trump. Now, here is Tim O'Brien.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Now, here is Sean O'Brien, the Teamsters president, commenting on President Trump's tariffs so far. I think I said this before. Whatever President Trump does, even if it's good for this country, just because his name's Trump, he's not going to get the support. We're looking beyond any differences of opinions that we've had with anybody. And we want to bring manufacturing back to this country. We want to bring jobs, put people to work.
Starting point is 00:12:11 have a career path. Not everybody has the ability to go to a four-year college. There's ability to bring manufacturing back, put people to work, have careers and live a middle-class life. Yeah, there's a good big job. I think regardless of whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or an independent, we should be realist and want to encourage people to develop and manufacture in this country. So let's be clear about something.
Starting point is 00:12:31 There's a difference between these politicians who encourage manufacturing jobs to come back here to America and the politician who is doing something about it, right? and that's who President Trump is. You can hate him, you can love him, and you can complain all day, but the fact of the matter is he's in the action category and the people criticizing him, they're in the complaining category, right? And so I just don't think that if you're going to be sitting there complaining, you don't have a leg to stand on.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Be a part of the solution, not the complainers. Now, an example of someone who is in the category of complaining is John Bolton. He's back on standing in, trashing the meeting between Trump. And Carney, take a listen. The leader who was backing down in that meeting was Trump. He'd already made all these nonsensical comments about Canada becoming a 51st state, never going to happen that anybody could have told him about. And indeed, Republicans could give him a lot of good reasons why, well, do respect to Canada.
Starting point is 00:13:29 We don't want them to be the 51st state. So he had to make those points. Carney kept his calm, made his points in response. Trump never should have said them to begin with. It's not a way, obviously, that's going to affect bargaining with Canada. But Carney has said some strong things, unfortunately strong, that our old relationship with the U.S. is over. I don't believe that.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And I don't think Carney or any other world leader ought to equate Trump with the American people. But this is an example of how we've burned up, how we've just eroded trust and goodwill. And we're going to have to work to get it back. Yeah, well, they should equate President Trump. with the American people because he represents the American people. It was the American people who elected him. And I think out of every single politician we've had in D.C. for quite some time, let's go back probably 30 years. He has to be probably the most authentic one. So yeah, I would say that he represents the American people just nicely. Okay. So, and on to our next story,
Starting point is 00:14:32 President Trump gave an update to China and the current trade war. And it seems to me that it's nowhere close to being over take a listen to this but they want to negotiate and they want to have a meeting and we'll we'll we'll be meeting with them at the right time i have not met with them of course you would know if i met i'd tell you they want to meet but you know we are right now look they're suffering greatly their economy is suffering greatly because they're not doing trade with the u.s and they made most of their money off the u.s don't don't kid yourself they don't make the money off other countries like this. And they were making, we had a trade imbalance, we had a deficit or they had a surplus, another way of saying it, of more than a trillion dollars.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Think of it, more than a trillion dollars. And because of 145%, that's the only reason, but because of they have now 145 percent there, there's no trading. You can't trade with 145%. Yeah. So there are already reports that protests are breaking out in China because People are losing their jobs over these tariffs, okay? Think about how many manufacturing jobs over there that has come to a standstill given the 145% tariff, quite a bit. Now, Scott Bessent dropped a bombshell on Laura Ingram tonight about his trade talks with China. Take a list. The world has been coming to the U.S. and China has been the missing piece.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I was going to be in Switzerland to negotiate with the Swiss. Turns out the Chinese team is traveling through Europe, and they will be in Switzerland also. So we will meet on Saturday and Sunday. And look, we have shared interest that this isn't sustainable, as I said before, especially on the Chinese side. And, you know, 145%, 125% is the equivalent of an embargo. We don't want to decouple. What we want is fair trade. Yeah. So at the end of the day, we know that China is the true threat here. We saw during COVID how much they played a role in our economy. And let's remind everybody, they are responsible for COVID, okay? So I am glad that they've been dealing with China in the way that they've been dealing with them. I'm just glad that they've been dealing with China in a very serious way. I think it's well deserved. I think they could be even more aggressive. But I trust that Scott Besson knows what he's doing. And I hope.
Starting point is 00:17:03 the conversation this weekend turns into success. And this takes us to our next story, which I believe is fitting. President Trump clearly is more aggressive when it comes to border security. And this is why CNN thought it was a great idea to head down to Mexico and interview some members of the cartel, but they got the answers they were not looking for. So we've just entered an area of the city that is still very dangerous. After weeks of trying our contact who on the ground just managed to secure a meeting, with a member of the cartel who's involved apparently in the production of drugs.
Starting point is 00:17:39 And so we're meeting him now in somewhere around here in an undisclosed location. This man is talking to us on the condition we hide his identity and location. Can I pull up a chair? He says he produces fentanyl for the Sinala cartel. How safe or dangerous is this area to be in? The Mexican military are making a lot of dangerous. The Mexican military making a big effort to crack down on the drug production here. How are you responding to that and how does that impact your work?
Starting point is 00:18:10 They're doing a lot of work. They're doing more, you have to look to the form of, to stay working. Of course, in a back-scale, but not as well as, but it's still, it's still. I mean, according to the Trump administration, you are a terrorist. I mean, the cartels have been labeled a foreign terrorist organization. What do you make of that? It's a fair of the situation, right? It's a fair of the situation, but, well, we don't have to come.
Starting point is 00:18:41 What's your message to Donald Trump, if he's watching this? My respect. He has to, that's, according to him, to look the better for, for the suites. But the detail that's the consumers, well, if there were consumers, then one would be a lot. So when the cartel even respects the work that President Trump has put in to secure the border, I think that tells you everything you need to know about how good a job President Trump is doing,
Starting point is 00:19:11 which is why CNN followed up later today with a poll about how Americans feel in regards to crime in America. Take a listen to this. All right, net approval rating handling crime. What do we have here? We have a positive rating for Donald Trump, even in the most recent polling. Look at that at plus two points. far better than Joe Biden, who was so far underwater, my goodness, he was setting records at minus 26 points. You rarely ever see it. So Donald Trump ran in part on law and order. It was
Starting point is 00:19:40 one of the reasons that he got elected. And at this particular point, Americans like what they're hearing from him on the issue of crime. And you see this right here with a plus two net approval rating far better than Joe Biden left office with back in 2024. That's why every time these judges come out and issue a nationwide injunction against the president, it's just disheartening because he's clearly doing something that the American people want him to do keep Americans safe. But what Democrats are doing is trying to keep illegal aliens safe. That doesn't make any sense. Now, Speaker Johnson made a statement today that, you know, had people scratching their head because we've been asking, what is Congress going to do
Starting point is 00:20:23 about these judges? Well, here's what he said. Short of that, what can we do? I mean, we've done everything within our power to solve that problem. And remember the stats, I think it's 67% of all national injunctions issued against a president in the last 100 years. We're against one president. His name's Donald J. Trump. 90% of those were from openly, you know, Democrat appointed judges that many regard as this other judge as activists or people venue shop to get in their courts. We all know it's a real problem. It's not what the founding father's intended. So what can we do using our power in the House?
Starting point is 00:20:56 Daryl Isis Bill is a great response. No Ruleings Act would prohibit a single individual judgment issue in a nationwide injunction like that to stop the entire policy of the administration. I think that is a very common sense of standard and one that would kind of get back to the original intent and eliminate the ability of just one activist to just stop everything. And that's what we've all been waiting for Congress to do. You guys hear me in almost every single video. President Trump is doing everything.
Starting point is 00:21:22 would want your president to do issue executive order after executive order, set the intention, make the first step, but Congress has to bring it home. They've got to vote on this stuff and make it law. So hopefully this bill actually passes that would prevent a federal judge from issuing a nationwide injunction that pretty much handicaps the executive branch. Hopefully that's exactly what takes place. Now, let's actually get your opinion in the comment section below to quite a few of these stories that we went through in this video. First, starting with the transgender ban in the military. I support it. My question for you is, do you support it? And then what did you think about Trump and his meeting with Mark Carney? I thought Mark Carney
Starting point is 00:22:06 looked a little uncomfortable, I think a little bit nervous. But I think it was overall not like the Zelensky meeting, right? I think it was fine. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Now, it's not just rogue judges that are obviously issuing injunctions against the president. How does it even start? It starts with Democrats suing the Trump administration. That's exactly what happened yesterday when the mayor of Newark dropped another lawsuit against President Trump. If you miss out on that story and more from yesterday, all you have to do is click on that video because it's coming up right now. You know,
Starting point is 00:22:49 Oh, You know, Oh
