Katie Wilson's smug attitude has landed her in some hot water
to the point where she's now walking back her comments that she made against millionaires.
Now, this comes as businesses continue to leave Seattle.
Hakeem Jeffries has offered up a new threat in regards to,
what they will do if they gain power again regarding our election system.
Let's start with Katie Wilson and what she told the reporter the other day. Take a look.
I mean, it's really great that Amazon's invested $3.5 million in this project.
What do you think it means in terms of the relationship with your office and big business,
knowing we all saw the video from a couple of weeks ago on stage at CLU?
So again, I'm really excited about this partnership.
And I mean, just to give another example, right? Today, we announced a second large new
shelter site, tiny house village that we're working on, and that is with philanthropic partnership
from Challenge Seattle. So that includes money from Starbucks, from T-Mobile, from Microsoft, from
John Stanton and Terry Gillespie, and so really grateful for their partnership.
So she's changed her tune because there is this shelter partnership that is launching in Seattle.
And some of the people funding it happens to come from Starbucks and other corporations,
but that hasn't stopped, obviously, Starbucks, removing its headquarters, including Boeing as well.
And guys, this is a huge indictment on her as a mayor, and she's probably felt the backlash at this point, similar to Mondani.
They go in front of the camera and they alienate the people who have been providing the jobs, been improving the economy, right?
And so I guess they have to learn the hard way.
In fact, let's go to the ground.
This journalist continues to expose how bad it is in Seattle.
Take a look.
Shopping in Seattle is not what it used to be like.
This right here used to be Old Navy, now it is gone.
This used to be anthropology.
All the shopping right here is gone.
This used to be the loft.
That corner right there, there used to be a big Starbucks.
This used to be the van store.
One of the best smelling stores in Seattle, Abercombe, used to be right here.
Macy Department store is no longer here.
used to be right here.
Prime retail space right here in Seattle.
Nothing's in it.
One of the thriving businesses in downtown Seattle
is the smoke shop.
Pike's Market is directly behind me.
Ross just recently closed three months ago.
T.J. Max used to be in that building up above.
That's been closed for years.
Walgreens is just barely holding on.
And probably one of the reasons Walgreens is actually still alive
in Seattle is because everything is locked up.
locked up. Prime real estate for a restaurant. This used to be Hard Rock Cafe. It's not all negative in
Seattle. Pike's place is still thriving. You can still buy beautiful flowers. But I want to show you what a
city can turn into when it's run by Democrats, when you have soft on crime policy, when you let homeless
people roam the streets, drug addicts roam the streets, and drug dealers rule the streets. That is what
is happening in Seattle. Again, I think I've said this a few times. They should use cities like Seattle,
Angeles, New York City, Chicago, even Minneapolis, as case studies at the universities to teach
students how detrimental policies can be to a local economy. Just remove the partisanship out of it.
Just look at basic economics and objective facts. You would find these soft on crime policies,
this homelessness epidemic, allowing crime to go rampant because you are refusing to let the local
police do their job essentially, and you are reclassifying misdemeanors or even felonies,
and you're allowing judges to let people out of prison very early.
This is what you get.
Corporations, they just move.
And then to make things worse, to put the icing on the cake is to people in charge,
they act like none of this is going to happen.
This is Katie Wilson literally a month ago saying this.
This is a chance for us to ask you just your thoughts about it.
And is there any concern about other businesses leaving?
This is, again, not the subject of our press conference.
Yet when she finally answered.
So Starbuts expansion to Nashville has been in the works for years.
Seattle will remain their North American HQ, and we're confident of that.
Thank you, everybody.
That's a great soundbite, that she's confident of that, that they're not going to leave.
They will stick around.
Doesn't that sound familiar?
Isn't that exactly what Zara Mondani's been saying?
They're not going to leave.
But what has Ken Griffin done recently?
Well, you heard them say it on the stage publicly that they are now doubling down on real estate in Miami and scaling back their projects in New York City.
I mean, how many more socialists in America are going to continue to alienate billionaires as they see their constituents suffer as a result of their policies?
It's a great question.
Let's go to Michael Schmich here on CNN, where he doesn't shy away from telling the truth about these policies,
particularly Mondani. Take a look.
By now you've probably seen what New York City Mayor Zeran Mamdani did on tax day.
Griffin wasn't amused. He called it a personal attack at a profound lack of judgment,
and then he did something about it. More jobs going to Miami,
a planned $6 billion park avenue development with thousands of jobs attached,
now in doubt. And then another big name weighed in.
Vornado realty chair, Steve Roth, said the phrase,
tax the rich when spit out with anger and contempt by politicians
is just as hateful as certain racial slurs.
He even put it on the same level as the pro-Palestinian phrase
from the river to the sea.
Strong words, probably too strong of an equivalence,
but I'm not sure that he's entirely wrong.
Look, tax the rich is probably more policy position than slur.
When Mamdani says the city's $5 billion budget gap
means wealthy New Yorkers need to pay more,
that's a debate worth having, fine.
but filming yourself outside one specific man's home to use his address as a campaign prop.
That's not policy. That's max more of a shakedown.
And Griffin himself seems to think it's something worse, stating the video, put me in harm's way,
noting that CEO Brian Thompson allegedly shot by Luigi Mangione was killed only blocks away
from Griffin's New York address.
But Mamdani is hardly the only modern politician who makes it personal.
Lest we forget a few years back, AOC showed up at the Met Gallo in address that also said tax
the rich. Sometime before then, she helped force Amazon and 25,000 jobs out of New York City.
See, at the core of this debate is this mindset that progressives have moral superiority,
especially over billionaires. They are the ones who dictate what is right and what is wrong,
what is of value and what is of no value. So even though we know economically, the great work that
Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos or any other billionaire out there has done, it doesn't matter.
to them. It's not of value because they believe they've made that money in an immoral or
unethical way. And my question to them is, who are you to decide what is moral or unethical?
I want you to listen to this exchange earlier on CNN because it sums up the problem in America
today. Take a look. Elon Musk has deserved every single penny of the money he's made.
Jeff Bezos. Absolutely not. That is the most ludicrous statement you have ever made. They are making
money off the American taxpayer,
off the American government
after deals with SpaceX.
I don't know why you're shilling for these people.
It's nuts.
It has made our standard of living
because capitalism has a moral argument
that needs to be about it.
It has made our standard of living
better than any other group of people
in any other time.
And I would say,
who's standard of living, Lydia?
Who's standard of living?
A trillionaire?
Because guess what?
With his money,
he's literally letting blind people see,
he's letting paralyzed people walk.
I want him to have the money.
Not Elizabeth Warren,
who's going to funnel it to fraud.
He's letting a line.
Just one second.
I mean, I think what are we doing?
Have I heard of nerling?
Have I heard of nerling?
Does it work then?
Lydia's point about.
I mean, tell me you have Elon must derangement syndrome without telling me you have it, right?
I mean, anyone who says that his products don't work clearly are just being disingenuous and
really are not serious in regards to the conversations to be had.
I mean, you can have conversations about particularly tax base, how people.
progressive should the tax system be, you know, what percentages are fair, essentially, based on
income? I think those are fine conversations to have. I think the wrong conversation to have is whether or not
Elon Musk, not only did he earn a billion dollars, okay, does he deserve a billion dollars?
That's the wrong conversation. And we showed you yesterday about AOC making a full of herself,
which that's a whole other thing. But let me move on to this next story. Because as you guys know,
this whole voting rights act that was struck down by the Supreme Court, not all of it,
just the piece of it regarding racially drawn congressional district maps, there's still
a follow-out from this. Okay, I want you to listen to the language of Abby Phillips last night
saying this. So we are, to be frank, in the depths of hell now when it comes to redistricting,
I don't think there's a better way to put it. Like, there's no bottom officially here.
I think between the Supreme Court ruling and Virginia,
we have a situation where pretty much every state
is going to be looking at their maps
and seeing whether they can box out the other political party.
And the result is going to be, I think, just terrible.
Yeah, chaos, terrible for our democracy.
But for black voters in particular in the South,
they're looking to lose pretty much most,
if not all, of their representation in southern states.

So she starts off by saying we're in the depths of hell, which is really a hyperbole in regards to what's happening.
But then ends the point by saying black representation in Congress will dwindle to literally nothing.
I've gone over this number already.
39 majority white districts or majority non-black congressional districts in America are represented by black members of Congress.
and only 22 majority black congressional districts in America is represented by a black member of Congress.
So what does that tell a black member who decides to run for office in Congress?
Well, they might have a better chance in running in a congressional district that is majority white,
especially if they are Republican.
And why do I say that?
Because the Tennessee district that is going to be redrawn now was being represented by a white man, Stephen,
Cohen. Well, as a result of this new map, it could potentially go to a black woman who is a Republican.
That's where things logically break for people on the left. They don't support black women who are
Republican. The only support black people that are Democrats. Okay, let's go to Hakeem Jeffries.
Here he is this morning, threatening, essentially, to overhaul our election system and change our
judicial system to support that effort. Take a look.
Now we're going to win back the House of Representatives in November.
We are only three seats short.
We historically overperformed in November, and that's one of the reasons why Republicans are in panic mode.
Remember, Ali, when we took the House back in 2018, we were 24 seats short.
We crossed over that hurdle, and in fact, in 2018, we flipped a total of 40 seats.
So we're going to take back control of the House of Representatives.
We're going to continue to make clear to the American people that we will lower their high cost of living.
fix of broken health care system and clean up the corruption that we're seeing in the country,
in the Congress, certainly with the Supreme Court, and deal with the most corrupt administration
in American history.
Now, we're going to need nationwide judicial reform.
We're going to need nationwide electoral reform.
We're going to need nationwide campaign finance reform, which is why we have to take the
House back, take the Senate back, keep pressing forward, and then in 2028, take the presidency back as well.
Using their logic, I mean, one could conclude that they're looking to rig the elections,
change the judicial system in order to support that effort, and make sure Republicans never went
again.
I mean, I'm just using their logic.
We know they accused the president of stealing the 2024 election because of Elon Musk.
They've already been accusing him of preparing to steal the election again.
And this is their language, not mine.
I know.
It's hyperbole.
Let's go to Wesley Hunt out of the great state of Texas.
Here's what he had to say about this matter.
Take a listen.
And at this point, they continue to double down on stupid.
They are continuing this same trend of these ridiculous policies that, quite frankly, are not common sense.
We need to continue to be the party of common sense.
And black people, white people, Hispanic people, Asian people, they will continue to follow what makes the most sense.
Look, Democrats are trying to say that having an ID to vote, requiring an ID to vote, is Jim Crow 2.0.
And okay, last time that I voted, I walked into the booth.
I stood in line with people, Asian people, black people, you name it, pulled up my ID, showed it to them, and I voted just like everybody else.
There's nothing racist about that.
In fact, the Democrats are the ones that are saying that they believe that we are too stupid to have an ID to vote.
I call it a soft bigotry of low expectations.
Black men in particular are waking up to this.
We must continue to appeal to comments.
sense. And I do think that opportunity is going to be right for us, not just in these midterms,
but also in the general election in the next couple of years.
This is why our country is starving for common sense.
Starving for moderate politicians in a sense, okay? You don't even have to be a conservative.
You don't need to think like DeVorey, by the way. If you are just a reasonable individual,
you'll do more good for our country than someone who's a radical like Karen Bass, Katie Wilson,
Mayor Brandon Johnson, Jacob Frey, Mondani, Abigail Skamburger,
these individuals are implementing policies that contradict what they say they want to achieve.
Affordability.
That's not going to work if you're driving out these major corporations.
And then when you're trying to redistrict based on skin color,
what signal are you sending to voters?
What?
You want to rig the system to keep yourself in power to implement policies that don't help these same voters?
That's exactly what they've been doing.
Now, I'm not saying every Republican policy out there is worth it or successful.
But what I am saying is, and what we do know as a fact,
these socialist policies that we're seeing pop up across America is doing more damage than the mind could comprehend.
I think that's the bottom line to today's video.
