Starting point is 00:00:00 New York City Mayor Mondani's appearance on the Theo Vaughn podcast did not go very well after he was asked to define socialism. Listen to this. I want to talk a little bit about socialism, right? Please. It's a buzzword, right? Because socialism, will you define socialism for us? Because people say it a lot and don't know what it is. And sometimes those people are me.
Starting point is 00:00:21 I'm so happy to be with those people right now. Socialism to me, it means that. you will have whatever you need to live a dignified life and that it is the government's job to deliver on that. This was New York City Mayor Mondani's appearance on Theo Vaughn's podcast. And this is where you get to truly see that Zoroamandani doesn't know what he's actually talking about. He can't even give us a legitimate definition of socialism. And even if we, I guess, follow his logic, Americans have what we need. food, air, water, shelter.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Even the brokest person in America has access to those four things. Now, you can get access to those four things, or at least one of those things, it's already automatic. I mean, if you're alive, then you have air, right? But regarding food and water, there's plenty of shelters. There's not profits. There are churches. There's the welfare program.
Starting point is 00:01:18 So no shortage of that. And shelter, same scenario. But he goes into more of a word salad on this definition. Take a listen. When people say dignity, I want to be very clear. We're talking about the things that allow you to take a breath. Housing, child care, right? Public transit. No one should be priced out of these things. These are non-negotiables. You need these to live. You know what? He's dead on about that.
Starting point is 00:01:42 I'm absolutely in agreement with him. So my question is, Mayor, why do you believe in illegal immigration? Why are you not helping ICE deport people who are in the country unlawfully? If you say that people should not have to be priced out of rentals, prices, housing overall, then wouldn't you make sure that nothing would drive up the demand like a legal immigration? You see, this is why I don't mind listening to their ludicrous arguments because I like to use their logic and poke a hole in it. And if people would educate themselves, that is America overall, they'd find that these ideas are seriously flawed. And what I think is so confusing is there's parts of life in our country that line up with disbelief, public education. We believe that everyone should be able to go K through 12 for free.
Starting point is 00:02:31 And they do. Libraries, we believe that everybody should be able to read a book that they'd like to for free. And they do. Yeah, you see how long it's taken him to truly get to the actual definition of socialism to him. He can't really define what he believes socialism is because he doesn't actually understand socialism because if he understood socialism, the Democrat Socialism of America understood socialism, they actually wouldn't be promoting it. It's not something they would be campaigning for. They wouldn't be looking at socialism to replace capitalism in a constitutional republic. It wouldn't happen. But this is what you get folks in politics is a lot of people are just regurgitating what they think is not only going to help them get votes, but it's
Starting point is 00:03:13 going to help them get a following. It's going to help them turn out the base, sort of speak. And for Mondani, that's how he got elected. He spoke about the issues. Now that he's in the office, he thinks those issues should be fixed by socialism. And that's exactly what his supporters want to hear. But the reality is going to contradict that every step of the way. Where some see heroes and others see egos. Bloomberg sees the era of billionaire athletes. A fad to some, the future of money to others. We see crypto's trillion dollar swings. The end of jobs or the end of human struggle. endless funds fueling the AI hype.
Starting point is 00:03:56 While others follow the noise, we follow the money. Learn more at Bloomberg.com. Honestly, what in the world? I mean, I think he's trying to win like the hearts and minds of like the Harvard faculty lounge or something here. I mean, this is not something that sells with real voters. And that's why you're not seeing Mamdani out there campaigning in tough districts. You know, you have people on both sides of the aisle who are unpopular.
Starting point is 00:04:17 The president can't go to swing states and swing districts. Neither can Mamdani. John, that's pretty good. The future of the Democratic Party has got. going to be these tough seats Democrats. It's pretty good. I like this analysis is great. It's true.
Starting point is 00:04:28 We have a whole new generation. Except in Michigan. But look at places like Iowa where you have like Rob Sand. People like that are going to actually be the new face of the Democratic Party. I think his analysis was actually incorrect in my opinion. The first half was spot on. You don't need people like Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, these DSA candidates, truly speaking on behalf of the Democratic Party because what it has caused is a disconnect in the communication.
Starting point is 00:04:51 example of that. I've said it so many times. I wish more people would talk about this, but black voters overwhelmingly reject candidates who start talking about socialism. That's data point number one. Data point number two. AOC, Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, a lot of these people who pride themselves on these policies of socialism went real quiet after the primary now that we're heading into the midterm so that they can appear moderate. There's a reason for that because they know crazy isn't going to get them elected. And number three, I think the data is very clear. Francesca Hong, who was potentially going to be the nominee for the Wisconsin governor,
Starting point is 00:05:29 she was stunned. It was an upset based on all accounts. 94% chance of her winning from the prediction market didn't happen because she was a lunatic. She was crazy. And people can see that a mile away. And that's why I hope Mondani continued to do this podcast. I'd love for him to come on our podcast. so we can continue to try to explain to America
Starting point is 00:05:51 what socialism is really all about. Do you think that somebody like a Rob Sand will be painted as a Democratic Socialist in Iowa in that race? No, he's doing a great job of being a Trojan horse in that race. He's saying a lot of things that voters want to hear
Starting point is 00:06:01 but everyone knows that when he gets in, he's going to pull an Abigail Spanberger or Mikey Sherrill like how they campaigned. But look, you have Abdul Al-Aat who supports DSA-backed candidates. AOC comes to the state to campaign with him. You cannot remove the Mondani effect from a guy like Abdul Al-Saliad,
Starting point is 00:06:17 especially when he campaigns. with Tom Hikers. Okay, so what I want to do right now is take a moment to read this message from today's sponsor, Alliance Defending Freedom, because a disturbing curriculum is being used in hundreds of schools around the country, and many parents don't even know it. It's called Rights, Respect, and Responsibility, or The Three R's. But behind those simple words are lessons with graphic depictions of naked children, requiring young children to name and identify genitalias.
Starting point is 00:06:42 This isn't a health curriculum, folks. It's extremely explicit sexed material pushed on kids as young as five. And parents who are sounding the alarm on this in one state reported that their school district has been ignoring them. This is why our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom are gathering 100,000 signatures on a petition to get this program thrown out of schools and to protect parents' rights to direct their kids' education. So sign that petition by scanning the QR code you see here on the screen or texting Darkens to 83848. That is 83848 or visit join ADF.com for slash darkens. Yeah. And that's why I hope Hassan Piker continues to speak in front of cameras.
Starting point is 00:07:18 I hope Angie Nixon continues to speak in front of cameras. I hope Mondani continues to speak in front of cameras. Abdul, please keep doing these interviews because when they do these interviews, we get to see them for who they are. It helps Republicans make a better case for why they are the better option. Obviously, Republicans don't do themselves any favor because they're poor at messaging, as we all know. And this is, again, Mondani actually helping Republicans. So we'll see what happens over the next 30 days as we get closer to November 4th. midterm elections. Let's go to our next update and the governor in New York, Kathy Hockel,
Starting point is 00:07:53 has done the unthinkable regarding the case with Cornell University. Listen to this. Brooke, bring us the very latest here. What led to New York's governor deciding to change who's handling this investigation? Well, Marky, good morning to you. Governor Hockel said that newly released information gave her serious questions about the investigation done by Cornell police and the DA's original decision not to prosecute in this case. Now this week, the DA decided to reopen that criminal investigation into this alleged gang rape at a Cornell frat house. But Governor Hockel says she's now lost faith in the DA's ability to prosecute this case. Attorney General Letitia James will now oversee this investigation.
Starting point is 00:08:37 As members of the public and the attorney for that alleged victim question, what evidence investigators had or knew about and when? Reports say that Jane Doe told Cornell police she was, quote, 100% certain she had been raped. The DA's office said he never got that transcript, even though Cornell says they sent everything over to prosecutors. Okay. So what you just heard there is definitive proof that the governor of New York has already made up her mind about what should happen in this case. She threw the DA off this case, you know, appointed Big Tisch to be on this case. And we know Big Tisch is really impartial when it comes to investigations.
Starting point is 00:09:15 I mean, you can't scream or weaponize your own justice system in New York than doing just that. So that's one component. Second component has to do with the idea of fraternities to begin with. This entire story or case thinks to high heaven. It's an example why fraternities in America probably shouldn't exist if they continue to have environments like this where this is what seven young men end up doing when everybody's drunk. I mean, you're going to have problems in the end. I mean, that's the bottom line. And number three, women, if you're sending your daughter to university, you really should be concerned.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Especially when she's attending parties at frat houses, getting drunk and doing drugs. None of this leads to a positive outcome. And I think we should be able to call it out on all sides. But what we shouldn't be doing is hearing from the governor of New York putting her thumb on the scale. Let's take a listen. Attorney General, on your Facebook page three days ago, you wrote what this young woman has been forced to endorse. is horrific and unacceptable. I'm holding her in my heart and in my prayers for her and to all survivors, you're not alone. We stand with you. But why did you affirm her allegations as fact
Starting point is 00:10:25 without doing your own fact-finding investigation to the governor? Why did you appoint an official who made a public statement affirming those allegations as fact as someone who's supposed to be doing an investigation? I will answer that. I have every confidence in our attorney general to do what she has always done. Look at the facts. examine the record and draw the proper conclusions. That's exactly what's going to happen in this case. Attorney, I will not comment on a Facebook post.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Now, here's the other tough conversation we have to have in America. Number one, if you are a sheriff or a detective at a police department and a young woman comes in alleging that some type of assault may have taken place with seven men, not one, but seven,
Starting point is 00:11:10 you better make damn sure that when she leaves your department, your office, You've got every single detail on the record. Why? Because two years later, when she decides to sue the university and the people who were involved with the investigation and starts releasing new details that she never disclosed to you, that is an indictment on your job as a detective.
Starting point is 00:11:33 So that's number one. And number two, for the alleged victims out there in America, you must tell the whole truth from the very beginning because if you don't and you come out years later and Now you want to say something, do you actually think it's going to be credible at this point? And then how can you back that up with proof? I mean, these are two legit criticisms. I think that's fair. But again, what's happening here with the governor is atrocious.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Shockingly, those words never made it into the account that the Cornell police sent to prosecutors. The attorney general then declined to pursue charges after reviewing that incomplete account and never interviewing her. Think about that. In what world would the police learn from a victim that she'd been literally gang raped while intoxicated by five men in a fraternity house and not elevate those allegations to the district attorney? In what world does the district attorney not even interview her or anyone else involved or even request the full transcript? This woman, this young woman, had already endured something that is utterly unspeakable. And that at every turn, she was failed by people and institutions with an obligation to protect her. Okay. A couple of things that we have to also have a tough conversation about.
Starting point is 00:12:57 There's a difference between what I feel and what the law is, particularly in New York. All right. Based on the language of the law, she would have had to essentially been unconscious or there had to have been some type of malice from who she's alleging that actually assaulted her. So literally the man in this particular situation or seven of them had to have purposely drugged her, right? And then she passes out and then they take her up to the room. That's not actually what happened. And so according to the law, they actually didn't do anything wrong. Now morally, clearly they're wrong.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I mean, if this was my son involved, I would really be disappointed. Okay. So there's that. Now, again, what the governor is trying to do is literally essentially go around that law, subvert that law, you know, weaponize this situation. And I also have to mention this. This victim, or alleged victim, this is, she's definitely going to have much more success with a civil suit
Starting point is 00:13:53 because of the law that I just went over, essentially. How do we figure out what the facts could be from 24 months ago at this point, Kerry? Well, at a minimum, in order to determine what those facts are, we have to approach this in a very fair and cautious way. And I was troubled by that press conference because I think the governor approached it from the exact opposite standpoint. The way I interpreted what she said, I felt like she was putting her thumb on the scale against the men involved in this situation and the school and the fraternities. You know, at one point she said, we need to find out how this woman was denied justice. And then she also appointed Attorney General Letitia James to look into this.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I have to tell you, there's no two things in a sentence that give me more pause than Leticia James and investigation. given how she has a reputation for taking up politically helpful causes and targeting people and making it her mission to basically run them into the ground. We certainly saw how she did that against President Trump, and she was rebuked for doing that in the civil fraud case in New York by the appeals court. They saw it as basically persecution. And so I already have concerns going into this case, putting the facts aside about the leadership of New York and how they seem to already be handling it.
Starting point is 00:15:08 and built your earlier point, look, this is a tough one. You have the DA's office from a couple of years ago who summarized a statement that this woman gave to them, and I read the statement this morning, and this is their interpretation, their summary. I think at some point we will see that statement. But they said she described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual. Now we have a civil lawsuit that alleges the opposite, and I think it's worth pointing out that in a civil lawsuit, The standard of proof is lower. But even though that is the case, it doesn't stop politicians, the woke mob, and these feminists
Starting point is 00:15:47 from taking this story and making it out to be something that it is not. I want you to notice there is no accountability for this woman who is involved in this particular situation. Technically, no consequence for her except what happened that night. So let me give you an example of what I mean where you have the ignorant woke mob that that is hopping on this particular story and continuing to make up lies. Listen to this. Seven men drugged and gang raped a 20-year-old woman.
Starting point is 00:16:21 They lured her in to a fraternity house. They drugged her with ketamine. They then posted to a group chat that she was incapacitated. And seven men took turns gang raping her for seven hours. All right. I think that's enough. We'll move on from this story. It's a big one from today, and it just shows you the hypocrisy.
Starting point is 00:16:45 It shows you that Democrats are willing to put their thumb on the scale when it suits their needs. They are the big defenders of the Me Too movement, as you guys are aware. And they're essentially ran, led, and operated by feminists. So I don't think it's a shock. This has been the reaction. All right. Let's move to our next update. J.D. Vance, the vice president, essentially involved in this Internet.
Starting point is 00:17:08 war with Angie Nixon. After he had this to say about her at a rally with Ashley Moody, listen to this. I have the easiest job in the world. I get to talk about how crazy the Democrats are. When Angie Nixon calls herself a socialist, I think the right
Starting point is 00:17:22 response is to say, then get the hell out of here. You don't belong in America. If those are your views. Okay, so on one hand, that statement from the vice president definitely, you know, energizes the base. People screamed, they loved it. They clapped at it. They laughed at it.
Starting point is 00:17:37 they laughed at it. And Angie Nixon is not one who's shy to talk that way, if not worse, about not only her opponents, America, and how she sees white men overall. So, you know, this is more of her type of lingo, if that makes sense, the way that she likes to play politics. So on that front, totally makes sense why he would say that. However, I warn that the Republicans should not play the game of Democrats. I think they should spend less time attacking them personally. I think people already inherently know that they're crazy. And I think they should spend more time making the case via policies, the money, the finances, the economy, how they are going to continue to do right by the American citizen.
Starting point is 00:18:19 I think it should be a 90-10 ratio, in my opinion. At any rate, because the vice president had this to say, here's what she responded with. Nixon responded on social media writing, quote, the most ordinary man imaginable came to my home state to tell me to get out of America. Well, they enjoyed the comfort of buildings my ancestors built. She went on to argue pushing for lower cost, quote, isn't an American. And she also went on to say this. I don't want to couch my words here.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I know J.D. Vance, his eyeliner and absent Ashley Moody are used to running away from people when things get tough because they are more about themselves and their billionaire buddies than the people they represent. But this is my home. So, you know, the other thing is it's because Ashley Moody's doing this rally that the vice president had to, say something about Angie Nixon. I just don't think Angie Nixon is no longer worth the energy anymore. I don't think she's worth the attention. I don't think she really has a legit chance to beat Ashley Moody. Now, if you're from Florida, I think you could speak on this more than I can because this poll I'm about to show you really makes me think what the heck is going on with these polls today. And the Senate race, Republican Senator Ashley Moody has a slight lead over state rep and
Starting point is 00:19:32 Democratic socialist Angie Nixon. Once trailing by double digits, this race has narrowed. in the past month. Yeah, I'm sorry. I just don't buy the polls. I mean, the polls I've been seen, either one of two scenarios are true. One, it is really bad. And America is about to truly remind Republicans
Starting point is 00:19:51 and this president that they are fed up. That's scenario number one. Okay? If these polls are indeed accurate, that's exactly what that would mean. Or scenario number two, that's exactly what we've seen in 2024. The closer we got to the election,
Starting point is 00:20:05 the more the polls got negative. It's almost as if they're running the siop on the American people to demoralize voters and make them believe, well, it's over anyway, so why show up and vote? That's another scenario. But as the vice president pointed out, I don't think we should ever entertain handing this country over to people who claim to be socialists. It's funny. Democrats, you almost have to hand it to them because they're so radical and they don't even hide it. When they talk about packing the Supreme Court, they're not talking about making better legal decisions. When they talk about adding Senate seats, they're not talking about making better political decisions. They're trying to abolish the actual institutions of American government.
Starting point is 00:20:44 We can't let them do that, Sean. And that's what this election fundamentally is about. It's about radicalism versus common sense. And I agree with the vice president. But as you guys know, if you've been watching this show for quite some time, Republicans have done themselves no favors. They have had not given the American people legitimate reason to continue to have trust. in them to have faith in them as a political party. They haven't done that. They have clearly fallen short of that. And when they needed to show up and deliver a message of hope and confidence,
Starting point is 00:21:15 they haven't been there. They've been silent. The only people that have really been speaking out consistently has been the president and the vice president. Shouldn't be that way, by the way. At any rate, Democrats definitely should not be given a chance. But what are you asking the American people to do? Make it up in their head about why Republicans should be better than Democrats? I think that's a risky strategy in my opinion. So that's why I call for Republicans to go out there and don't be afraid to make the case. Talk about the issues. Except certain criticism. Call balls and strikes. You know, you're right. We do have high gas prices. Hey, you know, you're right. We did fall short on that. And we recognize that. But we're going to strive to do better.
Starting point is 00:21:56 That's better than not saying anything at all. And that's better than making your message 95% of the time, Democrats are crazy. That's not. enough. People need policy reasons, economic reasons to show up and vote. That is a reality when you're talking about getting people to get off their couch and being motivated to actually physically get out there and vote. It's two different situations. You could talk about politics at home. You can voice your opinion about what you're upset about. That doesn't mean you're actually going to vote. There's a lot of people who are still not registered to vote. So that's a whole another thing. I think my big takeaway from today's videos, America has to have a serious
Starting point is 00:22:32 conversation about what we're seeing with this Cornell University case. We also are witnessing the ignorance of leaders who claim to be socialist can't even define socialism like Mondani. And we see Republicans, I guess, starting to somewhat get in gear to make their case in the midterms. Will it be enough? I guess we'll have to find out.
