Starting point is 00:00:00 In breaking news, it is being reported that the Department of Justice is planning to arrest a Democrat Congresswoman. President Trump makes a big announcement about his phone call with Putin, and thousands of Starbucks employees are now protesting the new dress code. We're now playing the video that you posted after our interview. This is the video you posted. You claim that Congresswoman, LaMonica McIver, body slam someone. That was your term. Not a term I introduced. I looked up body slam because I thought I meant, I knew what it meant when you sent videos that you claimed show a body slam.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Oxford, Cambridge, those dictionaries say that it's a wrestling move where someone is lifted off the ground and slammed on onto the ground. I don't see that in this video. So how do you- Victor, body slammed, body rammed, punch, shoved, push, whatever you want to call it. If you all want to watch, look at that right there. If you want to watch for themselves, that that's fitting for a sitting member of Congress to be assaulting ICE officers. And that's the biggest point from the Department of Homeland Security. This member of Congress did put her hands on an ICE officer.
Starting point is 00:01:12 She pushed and shoved him. Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is why it's being reported that she is going to be facing charges from the Department of Justice. And so I'm going to use ground news to go over the facts with you about this story and show you how only one. side is actually talking about it. Okay, so if you want to see this for yourself, just go to ground dot news for slash divorce. Now, she is a freshman, by the way. La Monica McIver faces federal charges for participating in a protest at Newark's
Starting point is 00:01:39 ICE facility last week. And according to the report here, authorities consider obstruction and battery felonies that could bring up to eight years in prison while exact charges and timing remain uncertain. But what is certain is that House Republicans want to, at a minimum, censure these Democrats for their behavior. Take a listen. House Republicans aimed to sanction the three New Jersey Democrats after the melee or even slap them with criminal charges. We have footage of those members of Congress slamming their bodies into our law enforcement officers. Shoving them,
Starting point is 00:02:11 the behavior was lawlessness. The Constitution speech or debate clause shields members from prosecution while performing congressional duties. But House Speaker Mike Johnson says that doesn't apply here. Does that establish a bad precedent for House members going forward? I don't think that's speech and debate clause. I think that's a, in my view, as a former practicing attorney, it looked like a battery to me. Exactly. I totally agree with him. Now, before we get the reaction from Nancy Pelosi, because she did have some things to say,
Starting point is 00:02:39 take a look at the coverage on this. 92% of the media outlets lean right. I mean, that tells you everything you need to know. And the biggest takeaway here, folks, is that ground news is a tool that can help you do your own research, see exactly what both sides are saying, just like in this story, how the left does not want report on it for obvious reasons. So if you want to use this tool for yourself, all you have to do is go to ground.combe, or you can download the mobile app, just use promo code DeVoree, and it's going to give you access to everything that I showed you in this video, including 40% off the vantage
Starting point is 00:03:11 plan. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is concerned that legal action could undercut the house. You think that steps on the speech and debate clause? I think it does. I think it's a sign of weakness to instill fear, but it does definitely step on the speech and debate clause. New Jersey Democrat LaMonica McIver ignored questions about the altercation. Lena Haba said she was going to announce an investigation. Was there any sort of deal made between you and what happened over there? Do you care to comment on that at all? Does anyone from the other day, they reached out to you?
Starting point is 00:03:43 Congresswoman, do you regret shoving officers? Did you think you would get away with that? Do you have any comment at all? But one Democrat called in the skirmish says potential prosecution would not surprise her. The rule of law means nothing to them. I think the majority of this country will see that this is not American. This is not upholding the Constitution. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries warned officials against crossing what he termed a red line.
Starting point is 00:04:13 There is zero basis to hold any. member of Congress accountable. But there's talk in the House of censoring the Democrats or ousting them from their committees. But it's about the math. Fox has told those plans could lack the votes. Now, doesn't that sound familiar when you're talking about House Republicans? They have a problem with votes?
Starting point is 00:04:36 Really, they just have a problem of getting things done. See, what makes us believe that they're actually going to hold these people accountable when they can't even get pieces of legislation passed to the House? That's actually what stands out to me in this entire story. I think what's more shameful is not even that she pushed an ICE officer. I think what's more shameful, she's not even going to really be held accountable for this. Now, I might be wrong at the end, but as it stands today, that's the way that I see it. Now, another breaking news from this morning, President Trump has announced that he plans to have a phone call with Vladimir Putin on Monday morning
Starting point is 00:05:08 so we can bring this endless war to a close. Take a look. All right, now to our other breaking story, President Trump, just moments ago, posted that he is playing to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone on Monday. CNN correspondent Julia Benbrook is at the White House for us today. Julia, this announcement following Trump's comments this week where he said that only he and Putin can end this war. So what is planned or expected for this phone call? Well, President Donald Trump announced what he hopes will be a productive day of discussions on Monday.
Starting point is 00:05:42 He says that he will be having a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin at 10. AM. And then following that phone call, he plans to speak with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as well as various members of NATO. Okay, so before we continue here, if you've been getting value from our channel and this video in particular, please like, share, and subscribe. If you want to support the show further, in the description below is a link to buy us a coffee, and you can listen to our shows on Spotify or Apple Podcast. And the original announcement came on Truth Social, which I'll read to you right now. He says that the subjects of the call will be stopping the bloodbath that is killing, on average,
Starting point is 00:06:21 more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week and trade. I'll then be speaking to President Zelensky of Ukraine and then with President Zelensky various members of NATO. Hopefully it will be a productive day, a ceasefire will take place, and this very violent war, a war that should have never happened will end. God bless us all. And so the big thing that sticks out to me about this announcement is, number one, I don't believe it.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I'm not saying President Trump is lying. I just don't believe in Putin or Zelens. at this point. And here's the president with Brett Baer talking about Putin and his unwillingness to end this war. Take a look. You said, get to the table. You said stop bombing. He hasn't stopped bombing. He's not at the table. And what do you think is happening? Well, he is at the table. And he wanted this meeting. And I always felt there can't be a meeting without me because I don't think a deal is going to get through. There's a lot of hatred on both sides. I have a very good relationship with Putin. I think we'll make a deal. We have to get together, and I think we'll
Starting point is 00:07:19 probably schedule it because I'm tired of having other people go and meet and everything else. And with that being said, I think Steve Whitcomb has done an incredible job. But it's a very tough job. And it's a job that, because of position, that I think I'm the only one that's going to be able to do that one. And I think we'll do it fast, too. I think Putin is tired of this whole thing. He's not, and he's not looking good. and he wants to look good. Don't forget this was supposed to end in one week. So the president is really acknowledging a couple of things.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Number one, that's Steve Wickoff, even though he is as talented as you can possibly be in reference to negotiating an end to a war, it just isn't going to happen with him. It's got to be between President Trump, Zelensky, and Putin. And here's the other thing. President Trump has gotten where he is in his life because of his strong will in personality to just make it happen at the end of the day. And guess what? He's going up against another individual who's just like.
Starting point is 00:08:14 like that in and of himself, and that is Putin. He's strong-willed, and he does not want to end this war in any way that will benefit Zelensky. That's just the way that it works. Now, in this next clip, here is additional information that led up to President Trump posting this message, because at the end of the day, the only way this is going to work and this war is going to come to an end is a conversation between Trump, Putin and Zelensky, takes place.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Take a look. Now, these conversations come after representatives from Ukraine and Russia. their first face-to-face talks in three years. They had direct talks at a lower level than expected, but they were able to agree to a prisoner swap. However, did not seem to make any significant progress when it comes to a peace deal. And that meeting took place after there was a lot of speculation on who might be attending that meeting. At one point, there were thoughts that Zelensky, Putin, and maybe even Trump could have a seat at that table. While Zelensky ended up sending his defense minister to have these conversations.
Starting point is 00:09:17 He criticized Putin for not sending any real decision makers to have that conversation. Now, were you guys paying attention? Because she said something that was profound. This was the first meeting that was face to face in over three years. So even though Democrats wake up every single morning looking for the president of the United States to fail, which is just crazy having to say that out loud, there is true progress here, especially when you compare to what Joe Biden was able to accomplish in this regard. Oh, yeah, nothing. Okay. Okay, so now we're going to move to our next story,
Starting point is 00:09:53 which is just pure my opinion. So be prepared for this. We are discussing this debate about President Trump deporting people out of this country and how the left is extreme with their compassion. They put it before law and order, by the way. And this first clip I'm going to show you is between Andrew Shultz, the comedian, and Charlemagne, where they fall into the same. trap. And one of the individuals on the show ends up trying to compare these deportations to Nazis and slavery. Take a look. You guys watch the video of the mother being arrested this weekend in Massachusetts and her daughters are trying to stop the ICE agents. Which one? I've seen so many different views. Look, I know immigration is a problem. I'm not for a second saying we don't have to
Starting point is 00:10:34 address that. But when you see stuff like that, yeah, it's heartbreaking. We're emotional people. I'm like these, you say, who were the Nazi guards? Who were the fucking slave catchers tracking down slaves yeah i wouldn't compare it to that at all man when you're ripping it's got to start somewhere i would you're ripping mothers away from i think you do it i think you do a disservice to what jews experience during nazi's saying that as a jew and i think you do you're like half and then i think half of me says it then i think i think that you're doing disservice to what uh slaves experienced but but what charr says it's it started it didn't yes the first day in 1938 or whatever it looked like this yeah and then not enough people said stuff and it escalated and it escalated and
Starting point is 00:11:12 escalated and escalated, and then you got where you're going. Now, what's interesting about a lot of these conversations and these debates that casually happen on social media, especially in different spaces like this particular podcast, is usually they don't do any actual research behind the story. They just go based off what they've seen on social media, and then they provide their opinion without doing any research whatsoever. Now, when I first heard this, you know what I did? I went and looked up the story that they were talking about and come to find out, ICE
Starting point is 00:11:40 officers were arresting an illegal alien and the daughter who's 16 tried to obstruct justice in that regard. And because it happened on Mother's Day weekend and there was a whole crowd, it turned into this big story of ICE officers are arresting a mother. They try to do the whole thing with the Maryland man in this situation. And so if they had bothered to mention that at all in this, they would have a little bit more credibility on this issue. And the reason why this has to be discussed is because people will hear them talk about it and believe what they are saying is true. I saw a mom who took her two sons who had been going through the process of getting their papers and they weren't. They were going to the regular, I guess, check-ins or whatever that they have
Starting point is 00:12:23 to do. Yeah. Snatched the two sons up. Yeah. Listen, we got to do something, but we have the money to do it a different way, is what I'm saying. Yes, it is heartbreak and there's no question it is heartbreaking. What I, you could make the argument, or they would make the argument that these people are here illegally, they're breaking the law, being here, whereas simply being Jewish in Germany in the late 1930s shouldn't have been illegal. These were German citizens that were being snatched up. And the same thing with slaves, you could make the argument, I guess slavery was legal at the time.
Starting point is 00:12:58 It was illegal to leave a plantation if you were. Yeah, it was illegal, but it was also the slavery itself is this immoral department. floorable institution. Okay, so let's just address a couple of things. It is my opinion, number one, that when law enforcement officers are conducting an operation or an investigation or they are actively arresting someone, get out of the way. Where do we get off thinking that we need to obstruct and prevent a law enforcement officer from doing his job?
Starting point is 00:13:26 He's the one with the weapon, folks. And number two, to compare this to Nazi or slavery's, that is truly lacking intelligence, there is no comparison here. These people have already broken the law and because the last president let them off the hook does not mean President Trump needs to let them off the hook. And this brings me to point number three.
Starting point is 00:13:46 A lot of people are criticizing the president on how he's going about doing this. The real person to blame is Joe Biden. If he had did what he was supposed to do, which is keep that border secure, there's a good chance maybe President Trump wouldn't even be the president again. But he failed to do his job.
Starting point is 00:14:01 So don't get mad at President Trump for doing his. Now, having said all that, that's not going to stop people, especially from Hollywood, saying this. Take a listen. I want people to be safe and to be protected. And I want very much to live on the right side of history. And I'm an immigrant. My parents are refugees from Chile. I myself was a refugee. We fled, a dictatorship. And I was privileged enough to grow up in the U.S. and after asylum in Denmark. If it weren't for that, I don't know what would have happened to us. And so I stand by those protections always. Yeah, so that's actor Pedro Pascal, who I'm actually a fan of as far as the movies that he's played in.
Starting point is 00:14:47 And it's unfortunate to hear this because it represents the problem in our country. You have people who just believe we should be governing this nation from a place of compassion over law and order. just because you're an immigrant does not get people who are MS-13 a pass. That's number one. Number two, just because you are an immigrant. Does that mean the president of the United States to just let people pour over the border? And number three, if people cross the border illegally, it is a crime. And here's the other thing about this entire debate that people forget.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Illegal aliens do get due process. The difference, though, to what degree? See, mainstream media wants you to believe that the level of of due process for illegal aliens. It's the same for an American citizen. And guess what, folks, it is not. So the level of due process could be simply this. I just caught you in our country because you broke the law. When I picked you up, I verified that you broke the law. I know you're here illegally because you can't prove that you're here legally. So then I deport you. That's as simple as it can be. But for some reason, Democrats want it to be, hey, we have caught you
Starting point is 00:15:58 in this country. Why don't we take you to court? okay and you're going to wait because you know this stuff doesn't happen overnight so it may be a few years before we even get to the whole courtroom and and while you're waiting we're going to put you up into a hotel and we'll pay for all that oh and by the way you can get free health care and benefits and we'll pay you five thousand dollars a month i think you guys know where i'm going with all this okay it's ridiculous and what's also ridiculous is this next story so employees of starbucks are walking out on the job in an effort to protest against the new Dress code. Take a listen at the employee's reasoning for doing this.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Starbucks says that employees now have to wear a solid black short or long-sleeved shirt and any shade of khaki, black, or blue denim bottoms. The horrors. Starbucks is even giving employees two free company-branded T-shirts, but the bristas say that the new dress code strips them of their identities. This isn't just about clothes. It's about control. Right now, union Starbucks workers across the country are putting on runways and walking out on strike. Because once again, Starbucks made a big decision about our jobs without bargaining with us. And this time, it's a new restrictive dress code, one that we're paying for out of pocket. So we're walking on to say no more.
Starting point is 00:17:16 No one cares. Make the coffee. Okay, so this is just another example what's wrong with our country, okay? I'm not trying to be negative here. I'm just telling you what's happening in the news. And this is another ridiculous story. Young adults think they need to dictate what the dress codes should be for a company that they work at. Can someone make sense of that? Even when I served in the military, we did get issued uniforms, but we were also allowed to buy uniforms on top of that.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Why wouldn't it just be easy for me to have a uniform so I don't have to think about what I'm wearing? I would think that's what would go through their mind. But again, they're entitled and they think the world revolves around them, but it just doesn't. Let's continue. And others think they're now unable to truly express themselves. Something that Starbucks loves to do is allow partners to be themselves or whatever that PR that they want to push. I don't understand how that's in good faith of letting us express ourselves. I don't understand how that's supposed to embody craft and culture.
Starting point is 00:18:18 I'm sorry, Paul. When did Starbucks turn into the telitubbies or a playground? It's work. Abide by the dress code or find someplace else to work. You don't like the horn, huh? Oh, my, I don't like any of it. All right. Well, look, let me say.
Starting point is 00:18:32 I just go back into my own experience. You know, when I joined the police department, you had to buy all of that stuff. I didn't realize when I joined. I said, okay, give us a check. You got to pay for your uniforms or everything. Later on, when I went into planes, this is probably one of the suits I bought back then. You had to buy like 10 suits, you know, because you had to go to work every day. You had to wear a suit, you know, when you were doing an investigation.
Starting point is 00:18:49 So I don't have a lot of sympathy here, but also simplifies your life. You don't need your job to express yourself with your clothes. Go to make the coffee. That's it. It simplifies your life. I got a black shirt. I wait a khakis. I go to work.
Starting point is 00:19:01 And that's all the risk to it. And they better wake up. I'll tell you why. With the next five years, it's going to be robots making the coffee anywhere. I saw it the other day. So, you know, the robots are not going to complain about the black shirt. So you know what? You got a job.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Wise up. Here's a fun fact for everybody here. DeVorey worked at Starbucks when he was a teenager. Yeah, I did. And you know what? We wore a black polo shirt with the green. apron, okay? And I never saw anyone there while I was working, wearing anything differently than that, okay? So I don't know what happened when I was a teenager all the way to where we are
Starting point is 00:19:36 today, but I think I have a good idea. And it's the woke mind virus, ladies and gentlemen. Okay, so listen, if they want to dress any way they want to dress, just go start your own company. It's really that simple. Now, let's get your guys's reaction to a lot of these stories we discussed in this video on the comments section below. What is your reaction to the potential arrest of that Democrat congresswoman? Also, do you believe Monday morning when President Trump speaks to Putin that progress will be made when it comes to wrapping up this war? And also, do you agree with my opinion about how the left is too compassionate as pertains to deportations? Let me know what you think about all that in the comments section below. Now, last night, President Trump
Starting point is 00:20:15 had a chilling warning for the Supreme Court after another ridiculous ruling. Okay, they are continuing to block President Trump from using the Alien Enemies Act in Texas. If you missed out on the details on that story, all you have to do is click on that video because it's coming up right now.
