In today's video, the president is celebrating his latest decision regarding gas prices.
Governor Gavin Newsom is being exposed for his gas prices, and two oil takers have been hit in the Strait of Hermuz,
prompting questions about whether or not the U.S. military will start escorting these tankers.
So much to get to in this video.
But what exactly is the president celebrating?
Listen to it for yourself.
Breaking tonight, President Trump says the U.S. will tap in to the country's strategic petroleum reserve
a little bit, in his words, to ease concerns over rising oil prices.
President Trump has just completed remarks to an audience in Hebron, Kentucky.
It's the end to a busy day of campaign-like appearances.
amid his military action in Iran.
Earlier, the president touted his prescription drug policy
during a stop in Cincinnati.
Senior White House correspondent Jackie Heinrich
starts us off tonight live from the North Long.
Good evening, Jackie.
Good evening, Brett.
The president spoke to a local news outlet
during his stop in Ohio
and made some big news, revealing that the U.S. will draw down
the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by a little bit
to bring down oil prices and then fill it back up later.
It is one of the many ways the White House is trying to stabilize
prices while it finishes the job in Iran.
The market's holding up well.
I figured it would be hit a little bit,
but we were hit probably less than I thought,
and we'll be back on track in a pretty short while.
President Trump making stops in Ohio and Kentucky
where Senate seats are up for grabs in November,
making the case that his administration
and Republicans in Congress are solving the affordability problem,
even though Americans are feeling a spike
in energy prices from the war in Iran.
war in Iran. Today's average for a gallon of regular gas, 358, up from 320 last week and 308 last year.
Okay, so number one, depending on who you're listening to, this is a big win for the president
to not only be able to tap into our own oil reserves, but to adapt to this conflict and the
negative impact that's had on gas prices here at home. Or if you're listening to the people at
TDS, you know, they would argue he doesn't know what he's doing. I mean, the point is,
this is what you would want from your president to adapt and do what needs to be done for the American people.
Number two, on the other hand, the big issue here is still that these tankers, which obviously the Shred of Hermuse, that's where they want to travel through, it represents fifth of the entire oil production for the world.
So it's an issue, which is why multiple countries now have come out.
And they are stating that they're going to also tap into their reserves.
Let's hear more.
Reuters reports the U.S. Navy has denied near-daily requests from the shipping industry to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
But Trump says companies should feel okay transiting through.
I think they should. I think they should use this.
I think we took out just about all of their mineships in one night.
Still, shipping along the narrow strait that carries a fifth of the world's oil supply has all but halted since a week ago.
Today, the International Energy Agency's 32-member countries agreed to release 400 million barrels of oil to address supply disruptions,
a nod of support from the Interior Secretary.
These are the kinds of moments that these reserves are used for.
Meantime, the U.S. offering tools to mitigate prices, like risk insurance for shipping companies.
Bloomberg reports the president's also preparing to invoke the Defense Production Act to preempt state laws and ease permitting for offshore production in California.
But officials say the fastest resolution will come from military.
success. Speaking in Kentucky last hour, the president indicated the war will continue a bit longer,
saying we don't want to leave early, we want to finish the job and not have to return in two years.
He cited rapid progress, though, upping the number of ships taken out since his last update to
reporters that was just a few hours earlier. Okay, so we're actually going to show you a couple
of clips from that rally that he did. The whole purpose of it, by the way, was not just to talk
about, you know, his economic successes and what he plans to do, et cetera.
It was more about throwing a little bit of support behind Thomas Massey's opponent here, which he also came on stage.
There was a couple other special guests as well.
But let's go to the first one here where he's essentially celebrating this new reporting that, you know,
we're going to tap into the oil reserves and it's going to bring down gas prices.
I'm pleased to report that earlier today, the International Energy Agency agreed to coordinate the release of a record 400 million barrels of oil from various national
petroleum reserves around the world, which will substantially reduce the oil prices as we end
this threat to America and this threat to the world. We don't want to leave early, do we?
We got to finish the job, right? All right. Now let's go to this particular clip. This individual,
who happens to be a Navy veteran, he was a Navy sill at one point in time in his career,
by the name of Ed Gowrin. I believe that's how you pronounce his name. You guys,
Let me know if I got it wrong.
At any rate, he's been officially endorsed by the president.
Here's what he had to say when he was welcomed on stage.

Mr. President, welcome to Kentucky and thanks for coming to the heartland, because you are loved
and admired here for your courageous leadership of our great nation at such a critical
time in history.
Thank you, Mr. President.
Thank you.
This is the land of we the people right here.
I want to thank you for your endorsement because once you did that, my son, you.
support skyrocketed.
Mr. President, I hope the fake news gets this.
Tom Massey stands with the ladies of the view.
Tom Massey stands with the ladies of the view.
Mr. President, we stand with you.
Fight, fight, fight.
So it was, you know, your standard rally from the president, of course.
And, you know, the biggest thing that stands out to me,
there is no other person like Donald J. Trump in politics.
And that's a good thing.
also a bad thing because he does things that pretty much, in my opinion, sets the bar.
And the fact that you still have the president of the United States executing rallies,
but you don't see that from members of Congress on the right, it's concerning to me.
It really is.
And again, I'm not too sure it's going to happen after he leaves, but it's just unfortunate.
Sometimes I believe the Republican Party is not taking advantage of the opportunity that he has given them.
But that's a whole other conversation for another day because the person who really has problems today is Gavin Newsome.
Because new reporting is coming out contradicting his claims about the conflict in Iran and how it's causing high gas prices in California.
Well, I think we all know the truth of the matter.
So let's go to that story now.
Take a listen.
Well, all of us are paying higher gasoline prices across the country since the Iran conflict began.
But the fuel costs in California are almost $2 a gallon higher.
the national average. Governor and potential presidential candidate, Gavin Newsom, is blaming the
Iran conflict and big oil. Senior national correspondent William Lashness has the latest tonight from Los Angeles.
You have been fleeced by the oil companies. You have been screwed for decades and decades by the
oil companies. Four years, Governor Gavin Newsom blamed oil companies for California's high gas prices.
Today, he says the culprit is President Trump. You'll be paying more because of Trump's war.
What Newsom doesn't say, California's gas taxes and fees are more than double the national average.
Also, 30 years ago, 95% of California's oil was domestic, most from here and Alaska.
Today, however, California gets more than 60% of its oil from overseas by Tanker, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Brazil.
And that makes California more susceptible to disruption.
Let's talk about this, because this is really important if you think about it.
Do you owe back taxes or have unfiled tax returns?
Or have you filed every year but still keep owing money?
Did you retire and suddenly get hit with a big tax bill you didn't expect?
Well, you should probably talk to my friends at Tax Network USA because your balance is not going to go down.
Penalties were grow, interest compounds, and many of you are about to owe again for this upcoming tax year with no plan in place.
So this is where Tax Network USA comes in with over 15 years in business.
there hasn't been a tax case they haven't seen or resolved.
They specialize in tax controversies and help taxpayers nationwide get back on track by resolving back taxes and unfiled returns once and for all.

Okay, can we pause here for a second?
because this story shares the same principle as the last one.
The fact that we have to import gas into this country, to me, it blows my mind.
We have enough oil here under our feet to meet our needs, much cleaner and cheaper and better for the environment.
But guys, we live in a world where it's run by capitalism, as you know, and maybe you guys can answer in the comments section.
I don't understand why we don't do that.
But California is one of the biggest states that essentially most of what they're getting is from overseas.
That's why it's so expensive.
Also, it's not green.
According to studies, domestic crude is cleaner, generating 20 to 50% fewer methane emissions.
California is the most energy dependent state in America.
63% of their oil gets imported.
That's not by accident.
California's climate agenda forced companies to close refineries from 42.
decades ago to just eight today.
California now imports gasoline from Asia, raising prices, according to Chevron.
The lawmakers in California have decided that they don't want critical infrastructure like refineries.
They've been working to put us out of business for 20 years.
Newsom claims it doesn't matter where the oil comes from because everyone pays a world price.
He also says repealing the state's sky high gas tax would not reduce prices because he says big oil would not.
not allow, quote, a single cent to be passed on to consumers.
You know what? That could be true. You know, I wouldn't put it past oil companies to squeeze every
dollar that they can. I mean, it's a big corporation at the end of the day. It's same thing
with the electricity companies in California. So it begs the question, Gavin Newsom, why don't you
stand up to them for a change? Oh, yeah, that's right. You've been too busy running them out
of the state. When an oil company is willing to pay a billion dollars, meaning they're willing to lose
a billion dollars to leave that state, I think it sums up everything as far as the governor is
concerned. He's totally incompetent and has failed the people of California. But let's hear
from himself. Okay, I want to show you both sides. Here's what he had to say today.
What's the end game here? We've seen gas prices spike because of his decision caused
in effect by 69 cents here in the state of California, 60 cents plus overall on average across
the United States of America. We've seen markets roiling. We've seen no real end game in sight,
as it relates to the Strait of Hermouse. We saw today oil prices now going back in that $90
barrel range and more concern about the extended range of the Iranian attacks, not just in the
Middle East, but to your point in question about the prospects that we could see things happen
here in the homeland.
I wanted to show the clip because I was trying to give him an opportunity to explain himself,
but I didn't understand anything he had to say there because there's no way to defend what he's done to that state.
There's no question about it.
I mean, the results tell the story.
The gas prices were high before Donald J. Trump entered the White House and they'll be high when he leaves the White House.
I mean, whatever he's done to that state, I mean, I don't think there's been a worst governor in history.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Now, you know it's bad when CBS News essentially has to.
admit that even though gas prices have definitely gone up because of the conflict in Iran,
California was already in trouble. Take a listen to this.
Just take a look at the prices on this sign. Everything is above $5. Just showing a painful
reminder of how fast this is all moving. Drivers I spoke with tell me that they are paying more,
getting less, and feel like there is no relief in sight.
While the rest of the country is paying around $3.45 for a gallon of gas, AAA says,
in California, it's more than five bucks, a jump of more than 50 cents in just a week.
I'm paying 40 bucks, but that doesn't get me a full tank anymore.
Before the war with Iran, California was already in a tough spot.
A unique market that is essentially cut off from the rest of the country.
The state has the highest gas tax in the country, almost 70 cents a gallon.
It also requires a cleaner, more expensive fuel blend.
What did you think about the prices when you first pulled up?
Well, the prices are nuts.
shutdown of two major California refineries due to high operating costs and other factors,
overall capacity will be reduced about 18%.
If this conflict continues, how high could gas prices go?
Well, it's very difficult to see what the top may look like.
We could ultimately see prices reaching new records if the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked.
Some drivers are already changing their habits.
It's part of the reason why I have my bike here is because it's cheaper.
Yeah, you see, anybody who lives in California knows gas prices have been high.
They will continue to be high unless something is done dramatically at a fundamental level.
Again, you heard in that report that two oil refinery shutdown.
Yeah, the company also leaving Valero.
I mean, it's a perfect storm to the ultimate disaster for the people of California.
And what has Gavin done in this entire time?
Oh, that's right.
Blame President Trump.
Sounds like a solution to me.
And you know what?
At this rate, they should just blame the president for these potential drone attacks that could take place in the state of California.
And this is our next story, the FBI, according to ABC News, by the way, so keep that in your mind.
They've been warning the state that a potential drone attack could take place because of the conflict with Iran.
You make up your own mind if you believe that to be true.
But hear this first.
So new reporting just coming in of a warning to law enforcement in California from the FBI that Iran could retaliate against U.S. strikes by launching drones at the West Coast.
This is coming from ABC News reporting.
national correspondent Matt Finn, joining us live from our LA Bureau. Hi, Matt.
Hey, Martha, so there is this ABC report that the FBI has warned police departments here in California
that Iran could launch a drone attack somewhere on the west coast, possibly targeting California.
This drone attack could, you know, potentially come from an unidentified vessel. I've talked to some LAPD
sources who say so far LAPD has not been made aware of any credible drone threats here in Los Angeles.
One LAPD source tells Fox News that there has not been any change in the department's posture in relation to any possible drone threat.
The FBI is not commenting on the report about a possible drone threat either.
Now, Fox News inquired with Governor Newsom's office, who did give us this statement that reads,
the governor's office of emergency services is actively working with state, local, and federal security officials to protect our communities.
Yeah, I think Gavin Newsom does a great job of protecting his communities.
doesn't it? But on a more serious note, this particular reporting by ABC News, in my opinion,
this is my personal opinion, okay, is overblown. The reason why is because essentially this is a
threat that California has known about for quite some time. It actually originates from last
year. It's just now they, I guess, think it's relevant to report on because of the conflict in Iran.
One could argue it is. One could say, yeah, well, we already know about all this. But anyways,
they pushed it out there, media picked it up, and now everybody's talking about it, including the governor.
So why don't we go to the president in the United States? Because after his rally, they asked him about it.
Here's what he had to say.
What have you heard about this bulletin that some law enforcement put out about a possible Iran revenge plot in California,
where there would be some kind of a boat offshore launching drones towards the...
It's being investigated, but you have a lot of things happening.
And all we can do is take them as they come.
and the war itself is being prosecuted as well as anybody has ever seen.
And this is other countries telling me, too.
Big countries, powerful countries.
They said they've never seen anything like it.
And they also agree with what I'm doing.
They say it's an evil country.
And it's been for 47 years that way.
And if they try to.
Now, depending on who you ask, some people believe Iran could absolutely execute Jordan strikes in our country.
maybe I'm naive on this particular topic. I definitely could be, by the way, because I'm not an expert on all things drones.
But I find it very hard that we don't have the technology to prevent that from happening in the first place.
Maybe I miss something there, but we have a $1 trillion budget for the Department of War.
I think we would have something that would prevent that from happening.
But maybe I'm wrong on that.
But of course, the proper response to the president is we are investigating.
getting, we understand what's going on, we're tracking it. Don't worry about it. We got it, right?
All right. Here is the, again, the media asking the president about sleeper cells now.
Take a listen.
Iran's sleeper cells, there could be inside the U.S. right now.
I have been, and a lot of people came in through Biden with this stupid open border.
But we know where most of them are. We've got our eye on all of them, I think.
If it does things, they came in through the open border policy.
of sleepy Joe Biden,
one of the worst,
the worst president
in the history of our country.
And we've got our eyes on all of them.
But the war itself is being prosecuted
at a level that nobody's seen.
And you know what the interesting thing is
the president's not freaking out about this report
and Democrats are not freaking out about this report.
In fact, they believe anybody freaking out
about this potential attack on California
or more terrorist attacks on our soil.
is all just political rhetoric to try to force Democrats to fund DHS,
which on the surface when you hear that, you're like, yeah, that kind of makes sense.
DHS should be funding.
I mean, Homeland Security, right?
No, according to Hakeem Jeffries, it's all a joke.
Watch.
The Aspen order leader, Hakeem Jeffrey says all this talk is just fearmongering
to try to get the Democrats to capitulate on DHS funding.
Listen to what he said.
So the president saying that Americans are being endangered because the president,
Department of Homeland Security cannot go after Iranian sleeper cells.
What's your response to that?
Well, the president's lying to the American people.
He's fairmongering, and he knows that.
What would you say to that, Senator?
So here's what's actually happening.
Democrats are blocking funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
They're not paying people.
That is causing folks to call in and saying, hey, I've got to have a paycheck,
so I'm picking up a second job so they can actually get it.
We have thousands of people that have been furloughed, work in cybersecurity.
which is one of the primary issues with the Iranian regime in the past,
has reached out to be able to attack folks,
has been on the cyber world on that.
We have the vast majority of our cybersecurity folks that are right now on furlough
because Democrats are mad at ICE.
Literally, Democrats hate ICE enforcement more than they're frustrated with Iran.
They don't see Iran as a threat, but they do see ICE as a threat.
That is the difference between the two parties, and it could not be more stark.
We see that ICE is actually allies of the United States.
These are federal agents doing their job to be able to protect the country.
And Iran is the threat.
They don't see as Iran is a threat.
ISIS is the threat to them.
You know, I couldn't have said it any better.
Based on the rhetoric that we're hearing from both sides,
that's the perfect summary of it.
Because to leave DHS unfunded or defunded is a true slap in the face to the American people.
No doubt about it.
Again, I'm going to stand by it.
I think TSA agents should strike because it puts the pressure on Congress.
Right now, the pressure is.
is on TSA agents.
They shouldn't be carrying that pressure.
The members of Congress should.
All right, they get a pressure.
Let's go to this next update.
This is a big one.
Two oil tankers in the strait of Hermuse have been hit, targeted.
So now it begs the question,
will the U.S. military start escorting these tankers?
Take a listen.
And breaking news just coming into CNN.
We'll show you the video.
Two oil tankers are on fire right now in the Persian Gulf
off the coast of Iraq.
25 crew members had to be rescued from two vessels,
according to the Director General of the Iraqi Ports Company.
Now, from these videos, which are absolutely stunning,
you can see the oil it appears to be on fire in the water,
the likely result of an oil spill.
All right, so obviously that is a big update.
Again, this is coming after the president
encouraged these companies to continue to travel through that straight.
Obviously, I never even thought that was a smart idea, in my opinion.
I mean, you're talking about a country,
right now, a regime who in response to being attacked, attacked everyone. So why would they not
attack these oil tankers? And so it's interesting to see what the next step will be. We don't know
of that yet, but what we do know is what Chris Wright, which is the Secretary of Energy, what he
told Laura Ingram on Fox News tonight. Take a listen. So Mr. Secretary, three ships near the
straight were hit by projectiles over the past 24 hours. What now? Yeah, well, what now is, I think you've
seen what Iran is all about. The world is seeing what Iran is all about. When this regime took
power, the first thing they did was hold 66 American hostages for over a year. Three years later,
they killed hundreds of our Marines in Lebanon, all with us taking no action at all against Iran.
It is a murderous, terrorist regime that's threatened peace and security and prosperity in the
Middle East for 47 years. And as you just outlined, as they ramp up their missile program to shield a
nuclear weapons development program, you simply can't let them become this superpower that can't be
knocked off its pedestal, or else the world is forever held hostage to Iran. So I'm very proud.
I'm sorry to interrupt. I said that in the angle. I couldn't agree more. And we understand that
history, it's murderous. But what now? Ask the question again. They're launching projectiles still
of some sort at ships. We have an insurance market that's still messed up, even with, you know,
Chubb, I know is stepping in, $20 billion fund, the DFC is partnering with Chubb. But if you have
crews on these ships that are afraid for their lives, how do you break this logjam in this
critical waterway? Well, the most critical thing right now is the, is a U.S. military degrading
their ability to project power. Okay, so let me stop it right there because I have to explain to you
guys. The U.S. military has not been ordered unconditionally to escort any tanker in that area.
That's what I'm taking away from this. This is why he won't answer the actual question,
because he's not authorized to. And it would actually be smart of him just to say,
hey, that is a question for the president.
I'm just the Secretary of Energy.
But anyways, so I think that's what's happening there.
And so his focus is more on reminding everybody what the president is doing,
which we talked about earlier in today's video, which is smart by the president, by the way.
But there's no question that this is becoming an issue.
Now, I think they've done the calculation, which is they can only target for so long.
I mean, every single day we continue to destroy whatever's left of their military capability.
sooner or later, it's going to be at zero.
Now, when is that exactly? Is that tonight? Is that tomorrow?
Is that 72 hours from now?
We don't know until they come out and say it publicly.
But I think that's why he's answering the question the way that he is.
I'll let him finish. Watch.
Not just missiles for long range, but also their assets that impede travel through the Straits of Hormuz.
So we'll take us some time to do that.
But there's an awesome power of the U.S. military.
Soldiers are doing a great job.
And we are every hour of every day degrading their military.
ability to threaten ships in the Straits of Hormuz. And as you saw, we announced earlier today,
the president announced just recently that we will release collectively 400 million barrels.
This is to tide the world over while these flows are restricted by Iran. But ultimately,
the United States military will prevail. We will end their ability to impede traffic through the
Straits of Hormuz, and ships will flow again.
I think his answer sums up exactly what I was just telling you, guys. He's not authorized
to speak on behalf of what the military will do or won't do. He won't even insinuate one way or another.
I think that's very clear. I think that question shouldn't be posed to him anyway. That should be a
question for Pete Hexath or the president himself. But that's a whole other thing. So let's go to
the president as we cap this entire story off because here's what he had to say about this entire
situation overall regarding the conflict in Iran. Take a listen. They are pretty much at the end of the
line. Doesn't mean we're going to end it immediately. But they are, they've got no Navy. They've got no
Air Force. They've got no anti-air traffic, anything. They have no systems of control. We're just
riding free range over that country. And now we're going to look very strongly at the straits.
The straits are in great shape. We've knocked out all of their boats. They have some missiles,
but not very many. I think we're in very good. We're in very good shape. The main thing is we have
to win this. They win it quickly, but win it. And there are many people. I'm just watching
some of the news, most people say it's already been one.
It's just a question of when, when do we stop?
We don't want to let it regrow, and ideally we'd like to see somebody in there
that knows what they're doing.
In other words, they can build a country.
Now, one other thing, we can hit sections of Tehran and other places
that if you do it, it'll be almost impossible for them to rebuild their country.
And we don't want that.
But we could take apart their electric capacity within one hour,
and it would take them 25 years to rebuild it.
So needless to say, as we wrap up today's video, a lot going on with Iran,
some of the same old stuff, more panicking from Democrats, of course,
more blame particularly from Gavin Newsom regarding his high gas prices in his state,
that he's already essentially the cause of,
but it's just easier to blame the president for everything.
and my hope is that people will see past that stuff. Unfortunately, sometimes that's not the case.
Then you had this whole thing from the FBI warning the state of California potential terror attack.
At any rate, I think I want to hear your guys' thoughts in the comments section below to everything we discuss in this video.
Let me know your opinion on everything. Just put it in the comment section below.
All right. Next video, brutal mistake was made by Abby Phillip last night when she alleged that the terror attack that took place in New York.
City, obviously it failed, was actually directed at the mayor. How she made that mistake? Well, that's
exactly what we explained in that video. So if you guys are interested, click on it because it's coming
