Starting point is 00:00:00 So in breaking news, President Trump just announced one of the biggest trade deals in history and Mr. Khalil gets confronted by CNN on his support for Hamas. You have to see this interview, but we're going to get to both of these stories in this video and give you the bottom line. But I just signed the largest trade deal in history, I think maybe the largest deal in history with Japan. And that was done with Japan, they had their top people here and we worked on it long and hard and it's a great deal for everybody. I always say it has to be great for everybody, it's a great deal. A lot
Starting point is 00:00:43 different from the deals in the past, I can tell you that. But we're doing really well as a country. We're strong. We have a lot of money flowing in. The tariffs are kicked in better than anybody other than me and a few of the people in the room thought could happen, Howard and Scott.
Starting point is 00:01:00 And I just want to thank you. You've been unbelievable allies because you really allies. That's what you've been and we appreciate it. Some you some were very difficult, but you got there and Some were a little bit they had a little confidence and they they came in earlier. We appreciate we just appreciate everybody But now late in the day that was an announcement for President Trump just an hour ago he says it's one of the biggest trade deals in history. And for the record, we already know how the media is going to react to this. The left is going to downplay it.
Starting point is 00:01:34 They're going to continue to undermine what President Trump is doing. The right will celebrate it. And in this video, we're going to give the president credit because at the end of the day, the S&P 500 is at an all time record high and the economy is still resilient, doing better than what it did last year. Now let's use ground news to dive into some of the details on this deal. If you guys want to follow along, just go to ground.news forward slash Devore. Besides using ground news to see the full picture of what's being reported, you can
Starting point is 00:02:02 also use it to get the bottom line on the story. And that's what you guys see here on the screen. Now, in the very first bullet point, it says that there will be a 15% reciprocal terror and Japan investing $550 billion into the United States. And just so you guys know, in 2024, Japan ranked as the fifth largest US import source with nearly $150 billion in trade. Now, before I go any further, here's some more remarks from the president. And I said to the Japanese trade representatives, and these were the top people, we concluded the one deal, Doug, and now we're going to conclude another one because they're forming a joint venture with us in Alaska, as you know, for the LNG. So I said, we'll all do that together with Chris.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Is Chris here? I don't know. Chris, right? If you could set that up, Doug, it would be great. But they're all set to make that deal now. So I think it's good. This was really the one they had to make. And we're going to make a deal with Japan on the LNG in Alaska. Right. OK, thank you very much. Now, that clip backs up exactly why this president
Starting point is 00:03:07 is more about action than anything else. Partnering with Japan to build an 800 mile pipeline in Alaska to transport up to 20 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas. I mean, guys, come on. I mean, this is real stuff. Now, getting back to ground news here, I wanna show you guys exactly how the media is reporting something that is really positive news for the country
Starting point is 00:03:32 Look at AP they say Trump announces trade deal with Japan that lowers threat and terror to 15% That's what you guys got from the announcement And then if we look at an article that leans right, Trump announces sweeping Japan trade deal with 550 billion dollar investment by Tokyo. I mean the bias is so clear which is why I continue to hammer home about ground news. I want you to be able to see the full picture and think for yourself. So if you want to use this tool for yourself all you have to do is go to ground.news4 slash Devoree or you could download the mobile app just use promo code Devoree and it's to give you access to everything that I showed you in this video,
Starting point is 00:04:09 including 40% off the vantage point. He's all in on bringing common sense back to energy. More energy is better than less energy. More affordable energy is better than more expensive energy. Just common sense. But Washington was going the opposite direction for four years. And let me say one other thing. Natural gas, natural gas is the fastest growing source of energy on the planet. And it's also the fastest growing export of the United States.
Starting point is 00:04:35 We're by far the world's biggest gas producer. The previous administration stopped issuing permits for expansion of United States natural gas exports. There was an export ban at one point. Just nuts. I mean, that's bad for our allies. That's bad for our country, bad for our economy. So to be able to reverse that stuff quickly, that's empowering and thrilling.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Okay, so that was the Secretary of Energy and he did touch on something that I would actually echo, which is I don't understand how an administration would want to handicap our energy dominance in the world. I think that is a worthy goal for our country to strive to, which is to become energy dominant in all facets. It's not just natural gas. There's other forms of energy that we should be dominating in, like solar energy, for an example. China is light years ahead of us right now. Now, some people out there, they don't believe solar energy is worth it. They don't believe it's a affordable option or they don't believe it's worth the squeeze. I'm going to tell you right now.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yes, it is, especially if you have high electricity bills like the people who live in California. I remember my electricity bill at the highest point was $1200. Are you paying attention? That's how high it gets in California. Okay. So I really do applaud the administration for taking energy seriously. Now let's go to our next story. And this is something that actually happened earlier in the day. Mr. Khalil, this is the Columbia University graduate who was detained by ICE and ultimately placed in a detention facility and was going
Starting point is 00:06:06 to get deported and then it went to court and ultimately he's been released at this point. And the administration is still trying to appeal to get him out of this country. Well, he's been making his rounds on Capitol Hill to try to get more support from Democrats in an effort to sue the Trump administration for his, what he would call, unlawful detention. Now before we get to that part of the story, watch his interview on CNN. Take a look. Just to be clear here though, do you specifically condemn Hamas, a designated terrorist organization
Starting point is 00:06:38 in the United States, not just for their actions on October 7th? I condemn the killing of all civilians, full stop. But what I don't want to get into is... I'm very clear with condemning all civilians. I'm very straight in my position in that part. But it's this ingenuous to ask about condemning Hamas while Palestinians are the ones being starved now by Israel. It's not condemning October 6th where 260 Palestinians were killed by Israel before
Starting point is 00:07:18 October 7th. So I hate this selective outrage of condemnation because this wouldn't lead to a constructive conversation. And this is also what we want to deal with is the root causes of why that happened. And it's in no way anyone can justify the killing of civilians. Just to be clear, Mahmoud, we did ask about... We talked at length about your views, of course, on the Palestinians, but it is fair to ask you about whether you condemn Hamas because the Trump administration has claimed that you are Hamas sympathizer.
Starting point is 00:07:53 So it's very important to actually ask that question in this broad conversation. Yeah, I simply asked and protested the war in Palestine. Now, just to make sure you guys get the full picture here, Mr. Khalil's argument against the administration is he was unlawfully detained. And all he was really doing was just protesting the war between Israel and Hamas in the name of Palestinians. Now, there's a huge debate over that. A lot of people on the right in some aspects believe that mr
Starting point is 00:08:26 Khalil should have never been detained in the first place because the administration should not be detaining anyone over free speech and Then there's other people a part of the right who says screw all that Anyone who comes to this country especially on a green card who's been given the privilege to get a quality education in our country Starts supporting any card who's been given the privilege to get a quality education in our country, starts supporting any organization that wants to see the end of America, they should be deported ASAP. Can't imagine we're going to get a statement from the Trump administration that says they're feeling the heat of their actions, Mark.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yeah, you know who was feeling the heat? The Jewish students at Columbia University who couldn't get to their build the building to their classes or or couldn't access buildings as they were being occupied by the by the uh... pro-hamas protesters that calil was leading you don't get to come to this country to the lobby on behalf of a terrorist organization and then now he's on capital hill uh... lobbying on behalf of the terrorist organization
Starting point is 00:09:21 uh... in the the you know how much is he keep in mind he's lobbying on behalf of people who are holding, still holding hostages, who massacred almost 2,000 Israeli citizens on October 7th. And you don't have a right to be in this country to do that if you're a foreign citizen. And this points to something that we need to confront, which is that we don't just, under the Biden administration, we didn't just have any legal immigration problem we had a legal immigration problem because we were bringing in people into this country legally through the through student visa process who hate america who are anti-semites who hate do you hate jews who hate israel who want to
Starting point is 00:09:58 destroy israel and they were coming into this country legally and given student visa so that they could be on college campuses. We got to reform the student visa process and make sure that we're not importing into this country activists who are spreading anti-Semitic bile and harassing our citizens when they're trying to get an education in their own country. Now, he represents a good amount of conservatives who see it exactly that way. And here's my question. Is this what about the university itself, who's clearly cultivating this mindset because they allowed this to happen on their campuses? Right. So even if you try to stop people, even if you try to vet them, in some cases, they're not even thinking this way until they get to the university. and that's for people who are not from our country
Starting point is 00:10:46 What about the people who are bored in this country who go to? Universities and start thinking that way and so this comes down to the core debate if your opinion is negative against the United States of America and You continue to support people who want to see the end of America is that grounds for deportation and that is the debate that really needs to be played out in the courts because ultimately that would be the legal sound answer. Now as far as free speech is concerned, if you're a free speech absolutist you disagree entirely. Nobody should be getting deported by what they say. They should only get deported by what they physically do. Now in that regard, I'm all in.
Starting point is 00:11:28 So somebody physically assaulted a student at these universities in the name of Palestine or Hamas or whatever, and they're here on a green card, that's a crime. And yeah, they should probably get it revoked and deported. I think that's fair. Right. And as you know, Israel has repeatedly pushed back against claims of genocide in Gaza.
Starting point is 00:11:47 But the UN Special Committee found reasonable grounds to believe that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. And now we are learning that 15 people died of starvation in Gaza in the last 24 hours, as according to the health ministry there. The situation has only gotten worse since the university protest. You participated and it seems. Why do you think that is? It's just like because of the complicity of the institutions, the international community with Israeli crimes. It's because unfortunately they
Starting point is 00:12:20 want to protect Israel impunity while it's committing all these crimes. As we speak, as you've mentioned, people are being starved to death. People are just waiting on lines, waiting for food, and they're being killed. Because unfortunately, we are at a stage where Palestinians are so dehumanized that no one cares about them. And this is one of the main things that why I'm here and speaking out for our rights, because this shouldn't be the case. I shouldn't have been detained for just simply speaking out against the war, against the
Starting point is 00:12:54 genocide. But that's what's happening right now, unfortunately. Did those protests do anything to help the people in Gaza, you think? Sorry, can you say that again? Did those protests do anything to help the people in Gaza, you think? Sorry, can you say that again? Yeah. Looking back on things now, do you think the protests did anything to help the people in Gaza? Absolutely. What we're seeing on US colleges and US streets is a public dismay with what the American government is doing by funding the genocide.
Starting point is 00:13:24 All right. So I have a question that I want you guys to answer in the comment section. I wanna make sure I get a feel for where you guys stand on this issue. Do you believe that Israel is crossing a line at this point? I'm not asking you if you believe there's a genocide. I'm asking you, do you believe Israel has crossed a line? What is that line exactly?
Starting point is 00:13:45 Women and children are continuing to die who are innocent because Hamas is using them as human shields. Do you believe if they continue down this road for the next two years, when is enough enough for you? That is my thought provoking question I want you guys to answer in the comment section below because ultimately I think that helps you decide by thinking for yourself which side you're really on here and also include
Starting point is 00:14:11 your reaction to the big trade deal announcement with Japan below, including the LNG partnership in Alaska that 800 mile pipeline. Let me know your guys's thoughts about all of that in the comment section below. Now earlier today, Letitia James humiliated herself on CNN. You have to see this for yourself. And 21 Democrat attorney generals are now suing the administration, all in the name of protecting undocumented migrants. So if you missed out on both those stories and more, all you have to do is click on that
Starting point is 00:14:40 video because it's coming up right now.
