Okay. video, journalists and mainstream media are melting down because the president will be attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner this evening. And a major update regarding the conflict in Iran, peace talks have now been placed on hold. Before we get to that story, let's hear exactly what's happening with the White House Correspondence Dinner. Take a listen. I know the president is very much looking forward to it. I think it's quite fitting that in our nation's 250th year, the most transparent and accessible president will be.
Starting point is 00:01:30 attending the White House Correspondence Center for the first time. And his speech will be very entertaining. That is what I will tell you. So everyone should tune in. As you heard there, Donald Trump will attend the White House Correspondence Dinner for the first time as president. His team is promising entertainment. But a large collective of journalists and press organizations are worried about more attacks
Starting point is 00:01:52 on the First Amendment. The National Association of Black Journalists is one of the groups that have signed onto a letter, and they're calling on members of the media in attendance to take a stand and not just stand by. Here's a line from the letter. There's a long tradition of presidents attending the White House Correspondents Association dinner, but these are not normal times. And this cannot be business as usual with the press standing up to applaud the man who
Starting point is 00:02:19 attacks them on a daily basis. Okay, so just a few things. Number one, I find it very rich that media, particularly mainstream media and Democrats, are disgusted that the president's attending the White House correspondent's dinner. It brings me to point number two. It's nothing new for a president to attend. But because it's Donald J. Trump, they don't like it, which brings me to a point number three. They don't like it because he's always given crap to the media.
Starting point is 00:02:44 This is who he's always been even before he got into politics. Everybody knows that. And here's the fascinating part about it all. I find it rich as well how much they lose their mind over what President Trump says versus what he does. We know what Biden did as far as his instructions to the DOJ in locking up pro-life versus as far as his instructions to social media companies to censor conservatives and essentially ban the president off the entire internet. So I don't think I want to hear the complaining from these people because we know which administration rose to the level of a tyrannical government.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Okay. Let's go to those meltdowns and get your reaction to them. Take a look. I will not go this year. I am not going to go this year because I won't grace him with my presence. Having Donald Trump speak at the White House correspondent's dinner where the free press is honored is like having a cannibal host a vegan event. Which is why this Saturday I will again not be. But for reasons that are not clear to me, many others will. So this is a special free. of the press and freedom of speech, Pakistan.
Starting point is 00:04:00 There are a bunch of us that are going to be wearing these. These are from the Reporters Committee for the free press. President Donald Trump absolutely positively cannot withstand anyone making fun of him. And so he has not gone to the correspondence dinner ever since he has been president, ever. Except now this year he says he's going. And it is, shall we say, awkward that this president will attend an event that is supposed to honor and celebrate the free press in this country. So if we want to exercise the intelligence that God has given us, one could discern the difference
Starting point is 00:04:37 between what someone says and what they do. Now, the problem that I have with people at times, especially when they confront me and say, DeVore, why are you supporting the president? It's not really about me supporting the president. It's about understanding what the alternative is to the president. So you can either go with Akamela Harris, backed with progressive politics. backed with progressive policies that are absolutely an attack on the founding principles of our Constitution, or we can go with a president who says things that may trigger you at times emotionally,
Starting point is 00:05:10 things that you will find petty, rude at times, but is a person who executes and gets results, even if you don't like the results, you know there are things being done actively within this administration. I guess you'll just have to make up your mind on which one's better, right? Is it the Biden administration? Is that what we want as a country? Or do we want the Trump administration? I mean, some people would probably say at this point the Biden administration only because they've already gotten amnesia.
Starting point is 00:05:41 It's really interesting. I mean, what is the alternative here? Okay. Let's go to some additional reporters and listen to their delusion. Watch. And I think the biggest discussion we should be having about to me. night is the First Amendment because there's been quite a controversy about whether or not journalists should go to this event or not because he's constantly attacking the very principles
Starting point is 00:06:03 of which they work from every single day. And to me, that's the most important thing of all. What really bothers me is the way he specifically treats female journalists. And I would love if the journalists would all agree to fight back against that. It's almost as if when he demonizes them and calls them piggy right to their face, they just move on to the next question. And I would love if they would just all come together and say, we're not going to support that. We're going to, we're going to say something or we're not going to allow him to say that to certain people. But we all know why that that doesn't happen. Okay. Do you hear that? They should not allow the president to exercise his First Amendment right. You see how flawed their thinking is? Let's go to
Starting point is 00:06:45 the actual law itself, people. When the president decides to attack a journalist, verbally, he is criticizing the media based on political speech. That is protected speech. Isn't it fascinating that they want to ban that essentially, but say they're all about free speech? It's just fascinating. But hey, you can go lock up pro-lifers for protesting because that's not protected speech, right? I mean, again, this is why you can't listen to anything they say. because it's not actually rooted in credibility.
Starting point is 00:07:24 They don't have a history of following what is moral. They're willing to burn it all down in the name of protecting democracy, as long as it means they can get rid of President Trump. People are tired of feeling like garbage. I really want the people putting stuff into the space to be the kinds of people who are like, I see how shitty it feels to hate your countrymen. I see how crappy it feels to every day feel like you can't afford things, but also feel like everybody around you is the enemy.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Like nobody our nervous systems can't take it. It's 10 years of Trump. They've done us all damage. And so like, can we repair that damage? Not by going back. We're never going back. By building something new forward together. What do you do with like military guys or anybody else from all these different backgrounds?
Starting point is 00:08:07 You have to do a project together. Well, guess what the project is, guys? It's America. It is not building us into like the Chinese Communist Party. It's not Russia. It's here. It's this thing we do here together. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:20 So their argument is that 10 years of Trump, he's the source of the problem. And, you know, this is my own personal opinion. You guys don't have to agree with me. But I learned very quickly in my life that the real problem is not the problem itself. It's your reaction to it. You see, the biggest mistake that's been made in politics is how people react to the president overall. It's just fascinating how they allow him to live rent-free in their mind. I mean, some people, they can't breathe, they can't eat, they can't sleep, they can't function because of the president.
Starting point is 00:08:56 And that is a sign of someone who's mentally unwell. That's got nothing to do with the president. It's got everything to do with their lack of exercising and developing the mental faculties God has given them. All right. So let's go to our next update. So the president has canceled the peace talks that was supposed to take place in Pakistan. So it seems like these talks are not moving forward at this time. they're on hold. The ceasefire is still in effect. And this is all in relation to Iran as the American
Starting point is 00:09:24 people are hoping this ends sooner rather than later. Listen to this. Hi, Aisha. So major shakeup to the negotiations that we did expect to see take place today. And this once again shows how delicate these negotiations are, despite the broad international efforts to get everyone to the table at the last hour just like this morning. Everything can simply fall through. So what we did expect to see. We were waiting to see Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, the U.S. envoys, we're going to be leading that delegation today in Pakistan. President Donald Trump, as you mentioned, just telling Fox News is Aisha Hosni today that he has canceled that trip. It comes amid the news that Iran's foreign minister has already left Pakistan. President Trump once again saying that there's no
Starting point is 00:10:07 point sending them on an 18-hour flight and that Iran can call at any time. The Iranian delegation arrived in Pakistan yesterday for these negotiations. And Iran's foreign minister, released a statement following his meeting with Pakistan's head of armed forces, saying that the two discussed various views and considerations on ending the war. But again, right now, a lot of questions with this breaking news that, again, the foreign minister has now left Pakistan, putting in jeopardy the potential talks that we were expecting to see today. Yesterday, the Treasury Department rolled out a new wave of sanctions targeting 40 shipping firms and vessels that operate as part of Iran's shadow fleet.
Starting point is 00:10:44 And defense secretary Pete Heggseth says that this blockade will run. remain as long as it takes. So at this point, you're going to hear two different sides. One, you'll hear the president's side, which is, listen, we don't have to do this. We may do it. We may not do it. It's on Iran to do the right thing. We'll stay there as long as we'd like, which is just this ultimate rhetoric of we can essentially do whatever we want because we hold all of the cards and all of the leverage. The polar opposite to that talking point would be that no, Iran is the one with the leverage. They're the ones who canceled these talks.
Starting point is 00:11:19 The president's on there trying to save face by saying he canceled it. So you're going to have these two competing narratives, just so you guys understand moving into next week, obviously. But there's no doubt at this point, what we do know is that we're now pretty much at the end of what I keep saying on the show, which is 60 days. I've been saying it from the very beginning. This goes past 60 days. The polls are just going to get worse for the president.
Starting point is 00:11:45 And I'm hoping that these peace talks take place. This comes soon in, and we move on to what's more important to the American people, which is more of the economy as we go into the midterms. That's really my hope at this point, given everything that's happened over the past 60 days. Now, let's go to the president. Here's what he had to say right before boarding Air Force wanted to head to the White House correspondent's dinner from Florida. Take a listen. You probably heard that we canceled the trip.
Starting point is 00:12:12 We have all the cards. We're not going to spend 15 hours in airplanes all the time going back and forth to be giving a document that was not good enough. And so we'll deal by telephone, and they can call us any time they want. Again, we have all the cards. They have no military left, practically. They have no leaders left. We don't know who the leaders are.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Nobody knows who the leaders. I don't know if they know who the leaders are, very importantly. Yeah. So I don't know if you're curious about this or not, but according to my observation, there are really two reasons why people have become politically fatigued. One happens to do with the president and his detour regarding Iran. As you guys know, when January 1st of 2026 came around, no one, no one in their right mind expected that we'd be this far long and we have done what we've done in Iran up to this point. I think if we did a poll, most people would be like, no, I don't think
Starting point is 00:13:07 we would be doing this. So it's definitely been a surprise, especially for people in the middle. Then you combine that with how the media has covered this, the mainstream media that is, in such a negative pessimistic way. It's just negative news all day long. No one wants to hear that. And then you combine that with Democrats and how all they do is talk about how the president, you know, the 25th Amendment needs to happen, that the military is losing this war. It's as if they would rather see the president lose than Iran lose.
Starting point is 00:13:42 So and then out of all of it. of this, no one's really, as far as the media is concerned, talking about the very issues that impact people like you and me. So what happens over time? People start tuning out. That's literally what's happening. But as I said, midterms are going to roll around and I don't think this will be in existence when that time comes. Let's go to Senator John Fetterman because he made a shocking statement when confronted over this sentiment. Take a look. Is this a hill politically speaking, politically speaking that you're willing to die on. I made reference to the House members from Pennsylvania,
Starting point is 00:14:18 the Democrats, and what they say or won't say about John Federman. Amazon presents Jeff versus Taco Truck Salsa, whether it's Verde, Roja, or the orange one. For Jeff, trying any salsa is like playing Russian roulette with a flamethrower. Luckily, Jeff's saved with Amazon, and stocked up on antacids, ginger tea, and milk. Habaniero?
Starting point is 00:14:46 More like habanier, yes. Save the everyday with Amazon. Square knows that in hospitality, efficiency is everything. That's why their system lets you take payments. Track sales, handle inventory, manage staff, send invoices, and keep up with finances all in one place. Fly through orders with zero mistakes. Get the data you need and keep everything working together.
Starting point is 00:15:13 So you're ready for whatever's next. more about their customized little plans. That's clearup.com. Oh, yeah. I mean, you know, the only Democrat to stand with Israel, yeah, it's a die. You know, like, I could never be just sitting quiet or saying things that I don't happen to
Starting point is 00:15:32 believe to. Like, I know what polls say consistently as long as this goes on, Israel becomes more and more toxic, but I'm always going to lean in more. And so, yes, thank you for asking. Yes, it is a diet to high haul on. Because my, a lot more
Starting point is 00:15:47 things are more important than my standing in the Democratic Party. This is such a profound, profound situation. If we walk away from this just because Trump might be perceived as losing it, but America definitely would lose and Israel especially and the region as well too. All right. A few things. Number one, for Senator John Fetterman, he is definitely becoming the unicorn of the Democrat Party. That establishment will try to get rid of him because he has not been on the same page as the party is concerned, especially in regards to Israel. We already talked about the poll where 74% of Democrat voters are now anti-Israel. So he's definitely on the opposite side of that.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Point number two, we also had showed you guys actually last week where there are Democrat candidates running on an anti-Israel platform and it's working for them. And point number three, which is more of a question, and I'd love for you guys answered in the comment section, do you believe that? we as Americans are willing to put up with short-term pain if it means we get to prevent a country like Iran from gaining or building a nuclear weapon. Do you think the juice is worth the squeeze? Let me know where you guys are at in the comments section. My own kind of personal poll for the people follow me. Please let me know. But let's wrap this story up with this final question,
Starting point is 00:17:12 which I thought was a really good one. Take a listen. Please answer my poll question. Here it is. risk that Iran will acquire and use a nuclear weapon justify the military and economic risks associated with the blockade? Yeah, I mean, absolutely. Like you just pointed out, I agree with everything that you've said about this just before I just jumped on. Absolutely. You know, not single Democrat says Iran should have a nuclear weapon. And I've seen that poll. I've seen another one, the AP poll actually had 4% of Democrats supported that. And I'm in that 4%. And the error of that poll was like 3%. So I might have been literally the only one. And that so it's like I'm, I know, I know polls and I know what they say, but, but I'm still, I absolutely believe that
Starting point is 00:18:05 we have the opportunity to take Iran out of the nuclear in the nuclear conversation. These are just one of those issues politically that you're not going to find much agreement on. Okay. You're either on the side that truly believes Iran was on the verge of building a nuclear weapon based on their own members of government saying that publicly. Or you're on the side where that really doesn't matter. We don't believe the intelligence. This is only benefiting Israel. And we should just stay out of it. So I think both sides, again, as I'd like to say, would agree that peace would be the ultimate win here. Okay. Why don't we get your guys' thoughts in the comments section below to both of these stories today, the White House correspondent's dinner? Remember, it wasn't too long ago where President Obama roasted President Trump or Donald J. Trump at the time at that dinner. And now you have these journalists screaming about their First Amendment rights under attack. But you let me know, was First Amendment rights truly under attack as it relates to the Biden administration or the current Trump administration? And then what do you make of this later? this update that peace talks have been put on hold regarding this Iranian conflict.
