So we have breaking news. A United States Air Force major was just arrested on Capitol Hill after he showed up. He is on active duty, by the way, in his uniform protesting the Trump administration. We're going to hop right into this and show you exactly what he had to say. Take a listen to this.
My name is Jason Watson. I'm an active duty major in the United States Air Force. However, who I am is immaterial. In the grand scheme of things, I'm just a nobody. I'm here with him because Representative Green is the only member of the person.
of Congress that has demonstrated the courage and conviction to invoke Rule 9 and force a vote
on articles of impeachment.
If Congress followed his example, we could remove the entire Trump administration.
But Congress remains unconvinced of the urgency and necessity for them to honor their oaths.
Okay.
So if you guys are not catching on to what's happening here, there's a violation of the Uniform
Code of Military Justice, okay?
That's number one.
Number two, no one in their right mind who cares about their livelihood, particularly their career,
and respecting that uniform, by the way, would show up in protest in their active duty uniform against the commander in chief, might I add, and his entire chain of command.
So that's number two.
And number three, clearly he's been fed propaganda.
He's showing up on Capitol Hill with a congressman who's been voted out.
Al Green is done.
He's one of the members of Congress who's been trying to essentially file these articles of impeachment.
and every time he has, you know what the Democrat Party has done?
They pushed back on him.
I wonder why that is.
So we must persuade them with our unrelenting, uncompromising civil resistance.
I am calling on average Americans everywhere to peacefully exercise your First Amendment rights and mass every day
until this administration is removed and our Democratic Republic is restored.
I believe in America.
I believe in us.
if just a nobody like me can take a stand for our Constitution
and our Democratic Republic, then you can too.
Just think about how far you've had to fall,
essentially from an intellectual point of view
to do something like this to yourself.
The president has not broken any,
he hasn't broken any laws, okay?
Everything he's done is within his authority,
and if he is outside of his authority,
the Supreme Court has stepped in and said otherwise.
This is why you have three branches of government.
Now, having said that, I think the concerning thing is what Al Green had to say, because he's already thrown his career over. I mean, if you really think about it, his career is over. So what difference does it make if I hinder this military servicemen, right? Now, that major is going to have to take ultimate responsibility for his actions that he will be held accountable. Don't even second guess that. But listen to what Al Green had to say about all this.
I just left the Capitol grounds, and I was there to witness a major in the United States military,
bend the Ark of the Moran universe toward justice.
He stood for impeachment of the president on the Capitol grounds,
and thereafter he walked up the steps where he was arrested and he was taken away.
This is a kind of courage necessary to inspire others to understand that liberty and justice for all that we pledge allegiance to
is something that we can make real.
It's more than an idea.
What's happening here is he's enabling mutiny, essentially.
He's enabling military soldiers to rebuke the chain of command,
and particularly the commander-in-chief would violates their oath, by the way,
and the Uniform Code of Military Justice as I went over.
And the unfortunate part, it didn't take long for this major to get arrested.
Let me show it to you now.
Here he is walking up the steps.
Okay, so let's start here, and he immediately gets arrested.
Twizzlers keep the fun going.
Yeah, I know.
I just stopped whatever you were listening to to tell you that Twizzlers keep the fun going.
Well, irony isn't my forte, but twisty, chewy, yummy Twizzler sure is.
So think of Twizzlers as a little palate cleanser for whatever's queued up,
which, by the way, should be coming very soon.
Like any second now.
Okay, Twizzlers, time to keep the fun going.
He serves the United States of America, and he protects the United States of America,
and the person overall in charge of doing that is the president of the United States,
Donald J. Trump, as commander-in-chief.
And then we can go down the line of the chain of command, that is, of course.
This is an absolute spitting on the graves of men and women who have come before us.
I don't take this stuff very lightly.
I don't think there isn't enough acknowledgement of the sacrifices that have had.
happen over the course of our history. I think that's why. In some cases, there's a part of our country
who is not proud to be an American because they have forgotten how far we've come. And although social
media and the rhetoric online and the tribalism may make you think we're in Armageddon times,
I would argue we are not. This is part of being in a constitutional republic. Everybody has an
opinion. No one's always going to get their way. And I just don't think this is the best way to do it.
Okay, let's go to our sanity report of today where we check in on American culture and we grade these moments in time.
We're going to start first with this congresswoman, as you can see here on the screen, who continues to make the case that socialism is the solution to the problems with capitalism in America.
Let's look at that now.
The reason that Donald Trump has to pivot from saying socialist to saying communist now is because socialism is actually quite popular.
These ideas, whether you call it socialism or not, they are very popular across the country.
So he's got to attach a new label to it.
But I'm not concerned.
We're all going to be here fighting for the things that we are for and that we want to deliver for working people.
Okay.
And the way we're going to deliver these things to the American people is using socialism.
Instead of using the great things about capitalism, which is investing into a free market, giving small business the tools.
that they can deliver these services that the American people would happily pay for.
I think we'd rather have the money in our community than the money coming from the federal government.
So, in my opinion, she's going to get an F on this one.
So is socialism, the end goal for progressives at this point?
The end goal is delivering for working people.
Universal health care, universal childcare, housing investments.
You just said socialism.
You just said socialism is very popular.
Can you name one socialist country that ended well?
There's plenty of examples of how these policies make a real difference.
And I'm excited to make sure that Americans have the access to them.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There is no country.
All right.
Okay.
Look at her face that she walks away.
She's, she nailed it.
She absolutely nailed it.
Okay.
Now, here's the other thing, too, by the way.
We have to go to this councilwoman, Rahman, out at Los Angeles.
She's the next person in our docket here on the sanity.
report and she was asked point blank about her thoughts in regards to the Democrat Socialists of
America. It seems to me she's now putting her name in the hat and trying to join that party.
I wonder why that is. Let's take a look at that. Why are you a Democratic socialist?
You know, I'm a member of the DSA. I'm also a member of the Democratic Party and I really got into
this work to make sure that we are serving the people of Los Angeles. And I don't think there's
particularly a Democratic socialist way or a Democratic Party way of
of fixing a street light or fixing a pothole or making sure that we're delivering for the residents
of the city.
But you choose to be a Democratic socialist and to be a part of that. Why? Why a Democratic
Socialist and not just a regular Democrat?
You know, here in Los Angeles, the DSA was the only place where people were really talking
about tenants' rights and renters' rights in the context of a political...
Okay, I think we heard enough. I'm just going to tell you guys right now, this is
your communist that just look at her face. Just look at that. I mean, she really believes in it now.
Now, I just want you guys to be clear. She never utter the words Democrat Socialists on the debate stage.
But now that these elections have been winning across the country, Democrat socialism is on the rise.
I might as well hop on that train politically and in the hopes of beating Karen Bass this November.
It's a good chance that she might be lucky with that. So I'm going to give her an F as well because she's not obviously offering any.
level of solution that will turn into a positive outcome for the people of LA.
All right. Next one up is this new report that's talking about proud of being American by the
generation you were born into. Should we call them the red, white, and blues? New polling showing
that just 58% of U.S. adults say they are extremely or very proud to be an American.
It's a pretty significant change. A party breakdown of those numbers shows the dip is driven by
independents and Democrats whose pride has dropped to new lows.
All right. And then they end up showing this graphic, as you guys can see here on the
screen. If you were born before 1946, more than 80% of those people in that generation are
proud to be an American. If you're a baby boomer, your generation is coming in at about,
what, 75% it looks like, possibly 78. If you're Generation X, you're definitely somewhere around
70% if you're a millennial, you're 59% and if you're Gen Z, 41%.
So the number continues to decline, essentially.
And the question is, why exactly?
Well, I would argue that what these generations learned in school has changed over time.
I think the reason why Gen Z is sour on the country is because they have nothing to compare
it to.
I don't think they've been given their correct information about what we've had to overcome
as a country to get to the point that where we are today.
and that's why it's not as bad as it might seem.
And we know social media is playing a role in this
because it could definitely poison the minds of people on the internet.
That's not something the silent generation had to go through.
Amy Boomers didn't have to really go through that.
And so I think that plays a role in all of it.
So I guess I'm going to have to give this report here.
I would say a grade of a B plus for more clarity.
So we know where we stand.
And then now we know what we need to do about it.
it exactly. And speaking of that, let's go to what happened earlier today as the president
brought up a kid who was forced to study gender affirming care in school, and he was able to push back.
And now that that woke agenda, he says, is out of our schools.
Hi, I'm Shane Cious. I've been a Christian in my whole life, and Jesus means everything to me.
When I was in fifth grade, my school forced me to teach my kindergarten buddy about changing.
changing his gender using a book called My Shadow is Pink.
Stop right there.
The teachers are making kids teach other kids this nonsense.
Didn't I tell you guys time and time again?
People, they're not born trans.
They're getting the idea from somewhere.
This is a prime example where they got it.
From another kid teaching them that using a book that has been allowed in the classroom.
This is why your voice matters.
local elections, Matt. The book said you can choose your gender based on feelings instead of how
God made us. I knew this was not right, but I was afraid of getting in trouble. After my family
spoke up, the school treated us badly, and kids started bullying me and my brother because of our faith.
And the school did nothing to stop it. It heard a lot, but I kept trusting God. I believe kids like me
should be able to live our fate at school without being forced to go against what we believe.
Absolutely. That's so good for the president to bring him up.
and have him share his story.
And the bottom line is you don't go to school to learn which agenda is.
You don't go to school to be taught by another kid.
You're supposed to be going to school so you can develop your intellect, right?
And you can learn how to operate in this environment and particularly in our society.
And I think teachers are doing a disservice to children, especially if things like that
are happening.
And that was in fifth grade.
So this is happening at a very young age where the mind is just a sponge to everything.
However, I'm going to give this report an A plus because this tells me if it wasn't for President Trump, this stuff would be on steroids at this point.
All right, so let's go to our one-on-one segment.
This is me showing you a few highlights of an interview I've recently done because we do them on a weekly basis with its hot voices in America.
And this individual by the name of John Lagansky, he was actually the deputy chief of staff for Kevin McCarthy when he was the House Speaker.
And this is really relevant based on what I was just talking about in regards to Congress and these politicians.
If you go back to the beginning of the video, this major who was working with Al Green to essentially suicide his career.
Here is what John had to say about a lot of this stuff.
He says it's performative.
Some of it is performative, you know, in D.C., right?
The cameras point at the member.
They make their speech.
But the camera doesn't show you afterwards.
They go over and they might see the Republican of Democrat colleague and give him a handshake or a hug.
slap them on the back, how's your wife doing, how's your kids doing? And just two minutes ago,
you thought they were the most bitter enemies. So some of this is designed to excite and rile up.
I think it's almost become a sport, right, that folks watch. I don't think that's healthy, per se.
And that's why I tell you guys, don't make politics the center of your life. Make politics something
you learn from, you educate yourself on, you become aware of, you understand what's happening
within the government, essentially policies that may happen at your local level, but don't lose
your sanity over it. I would argue that's what's happened to people on the left. And where we
really should be placed in our focus on is what's happening in our own backyard. But I do think what
you talked about is right. If you want to make a big impact, a local level is the best place to do
that. My mom served on our school board when we were growing up. My dad is currently an alderman
in our city council. They have decisions that cross their desk every day and they make an impact,
right? Putting that, you know, stop sign near the crossing by the playground, right? That actually
has an impact in the day-to-day lives of the community. And so I would encourage folks to get involved.
Obviously, watching your show and taking in current events is one great way to do that. But let's go
beyond that, right? Help out on a campaign, study your issues, volunteer, knock doors, you know,
sign up for a committee or commission your town needs to, you know, help run the local affairs.
Those are things that I really find do have an impact. And like you said, when you do, you
do a couple of those, you realize that things aren't so bad in this country. And I don't think we're as
divided as the media wants to make us, the mainstream media. I've actually interviewed a few people
that have made that same point that what is happening on the internet is not actually reality,
okay, what is going on with most Americans. And we actually have a lot in common, believe it or not.
Yes, you're going to have people who make everything they do about politics. Yes, you'll always
have that person. But for the most part, if people would stop putting
politics first and their relationships first, particularly with Christ, in my opinion, their family
and people they run into, and seeing them as the American citizen that they are, I don't think we
would be as divided as the Internet wants us to believe. And I would argue the elites and people
who make money off our divisiveness, I don't think they'd be able to get their way as much as they've
been getting. All right. So let's go to this next clip. This is me asking him about term limits in
Congress, because I for one believe they should exist. Here is John's response to that.
We have term limits on the Republican side for chairman, and I think that's great, right?
Because we've gotten to circle through a lot of good talent.
Meanwhile, on the Democrat side, you've had Maxine Waters, you know, who's pushing, I think she's over 80.
Jerry Nadler was in that role for many, many years.
The list goes on and on and on.
I'd be fine with term limits on some level.
On the flip side, you know, you do need the experience.
And again, I know term limits are a very popular, probably 80-20 issue.
But, I mean, you tell me, right, how long did it take?
you until you got good at your craft, right? It probably takes a number of years. Any athlete,
any professional, any businessman, those first couple years, you're just trying to figure it out
and figure out, you know, where the bathrooms are and what's up, what's down. And so I'd want it
to be something reasonable. I don't think, I'd almost be more in favor of an age limit, right?
Where if you can't use an iPhone, I don't think you can represent 700,000 constituents back in
your district. But I do think you need to experience, you know. Yeah. Yeah. So then what
happen is we came up with a conclusion that maybe it should be a restriction on age.
You know, if you're over the age of 60, you shouldn't be serving in Congress, you know,
and I would combine that with your spouses can't be trading stocks on your behalf. You can't trade
stocks. I would get rid of all of that from the executive branch to Congress to the Supreme
Court, anybody serving as a judge, no insider trading whatsoever across the board.
And then I would also, in my opinion, reduce their salary. I would, I would, I would
make them essentially operate in the same way the military does, if you're a junior member of
Congress, you're going to make barely any money. Okay? And the more you stay in the Congress,
the more money you can make. But the max that you can serve is at the age of 60. So if you come in at
55, you're done in five years. I think that's one way to do it. But I think the problem is,
really, besides that, is the funding of members of Congress. And we got into that as well. I mean,
I think transparency is the best answer, right? Now, money in politics, again, gets a lot of
play. I read and a fact check me on this, but that, you know, we spend more as Americans on
potato chips every year than we do on political advertising, right? And so in context here,
it's, it's somewhat of a drop in the bucket. That said, it does have an impact, right? If there's
ads running your district, billboards up, you see that, members of your community see that.
I'm not going to say it doesn't have an impact. It definitely does. But I think transparency and
sunlight is the best disinfectant. Let's understand where this money's coming from. It's coming from
foreign countries. It was kind of like what they did on X.
sort of in a way, but, you know, let's see where all these people are posting from.
And if all these accounts that are saying America's so bad are from China or Iran, you know,
we can see through that.
Americans get that pretty simply.
So I'd be more in favor instead of these, you know, kind of disclaimers at the end,
this is paid for by America's great pack, you know, let's have a little more transparency
on who's funding these things.
And then folks, I think we'll be able to sniff out, you know, what's the true motivation.
Well, right now the problem with if you're a Democrat, if you have any,
affiliation to Israel, it's over for you. I mean, that's just as clear as I can make it. That's
exactly what's been happening in these primary elections across the country. On the Republican side,
that is, Israel is not really a deciding factor on elections. But more importantly, I, for one,
agree. Money should get out of politics. The problem is the Supreme Court. They don't see it that
way whatsoever. They've ruled twice, by the way, over the past 20 years that I believe is more
detrimental to the political system rather than being a positive on it. One is Citizens United
and two is what happened a few days ago where they said there's no limit on the DNC or the RNC
donating money to a candidate in a particular election race.
All right, guys, this has been the video today, the DeBorey Darken show, as you guys can tell.
