New York City, Mayor Mondani has everybody feeling confused about his latest announcement regarding Jewish New Yorkers.
Listen to this.
Over the last year, I've met with Jewish New Yorkers across the five boroughs.
I've met with them in their dining rooms, sat with them on the subway, and spoke to them in their shules.
Time and again, I've heard the same thing.
Antisemitism is real, and it is growing.
Here in New York City, while our Jewish neighbors make up only 12% of the population,
NYPD statistics show that anti-Semitic hate crime,
account for more than half of all confirmed hate crimes.
This is not only unacceptable,
it's something we all have an obligation to change.
And City Hall will lead the way.
That is why today I'm proud to announce
the nation's first ever municipal strategy
to combat anti-Semitism,
a roadmap for how our administration
will confront the scourge of anti-Semitism now and in the future.
You know, my question for everybody who just had to watch that,
why do you think it took him so long to introduce something like this?
He's made a lot of announcements, okay, a lot of promises.
You know, he's really hyped up his base and now we're in the month of September.
What took him so long?
Do you think he truly means it that he's going to crack down on anti-Semitism,
knowing what the percentages are regarding the crime or they hate crime rates in New York City, right?
50% the victims are Jewish Americans.
Me and you both know this is going nowhere, but this is the thing.
to play to the cameras clearly. And I'd like to see how he's going to be able to measure the success
of this program. And again, as I stated, not everybody's buying this. Listen to this. What do you really
believe? I think that, you know, if you think about the mayor's incentives to take a personal
approach, I think it's probably not there. I mean, he got a lot of pushback when he did it for Ken Griffin
and you see jobs leaving New York City, Morgan Stanley this week, announced that they were leaving.
I think that that would be a motivation for people to leave.
And I think that there's real issues around safety.
So the United Health Care CEO get assassinated a couple years ago.
I think we're still outside of Ken Griffin's apartment.
Look, I think that we have a very complicated relationship to say the least with the mayor.
But I think if the mayor says unequivocally that that's not their plan at this point,
you take somebody at their word until they show.
So let's step back.
Yeah, that point that he mentioned about the United Health Care CEO speaks to a larger issue in our society today,
where political violence, sort of speak, is clearly justified by groups on the left, that is.
And Mondani is no exception.
The people who support him, they would celebrate an assassination of the president.
They would celebrate some of these conservative voices that have built up a platform and have,
and have made a difference in our society.
They wouldn't hesitate to celebrate something like that.
And so, again, if you're American and you're Jewish and you live in New York City,
you know, Madani can make all the promises he wants.
I think you've got to judge him based on the results.
And if you're doing that, there's no way you would buy into what he is saying,
including when he says something like this.
But our responsibility goes beyond protection.
Jewish New Yorkers should feel cherished and celebrated in the most Jewish city in America.
That's why we are investing millions in Jewish cultural centers and nonprofits,
including $2 million for the Queen's Holocaust Memorial Garden and $2.5 million towards Brooklyn Center for New Jewish Culture.
While these efforts are aimed at protecting our Jewish neighbors, they will benefit all New Yorkers.
All right, I'm sitting here laughing because I purposely left the music in the clip so you can feel
the emotion and the authenticity from the mayor as he continues to claim that he's going to
protect Jewish New Yorkers by donating money to museums.
Okay.
Yeah, that's really going to protect Jewish Americans.
So now when they come out of a synagogue and they're stabbed like one man was or murdered
in another scenario, yeah, that money that went to the museum to protect Jewish heritage
that sure did protect their lives.
clearly that's not going to get it done.
And again, this is like step one politically.
Let's just throw some money at the issue.
So it just seems like we're doing something about it.
But anybody who can cut through the noise by using common sense knows,
this doesn't really mean anything for the mayor.
He's got bigger issues, in my opinion.
Ask this question.
By the way, they're saying they're saying they're going to punch me in the face.
You're an experience.
They said.
I mean, you come.
from business. You come from Wall Street. This is your background and has historically been your
bread and butter. I mean, do you believe he is creating a business-friendly environment in New York City?
Well, the short answer is no. I think that you see jobs being portable and a lot of them moving.
And I think that some of that's a reflection on the language that the mayor uses.
Anti-Semitism safety are two issues beyond taxes that will push people to leave. So if you are singling out
CEOs as that press story indicated was their plan, I think you would see more of an exodus,
which would impact, you know, ratables in the city and a significant one.
It's the same problem that we see in California that has resulted in, you know,
corporations, you know, moving their headquarters, people migrating to states like Texas and
Florida. These are measurables, all right? These are numbers that you can track. These are data
points. In short, these are results. And no matter how many times Mondani
walks in front of a camera and tells New York he's going to help everyone.
And at the end of the day, you just have to look at the results because they continue to contradict
everything that is coming out of the mouth of this mayor.
And I'll give you the latest example.
Remember the whole thing about free buses?
Well, here's the issue with that.
Now the MTA is laying out its preliminary plans for another possible hike in the coming months.
Foxx-I.'s Fraser Wang has all the details and reaction from commuters.
riders point out when you take the bus for the train two times a day five times a
week the cost can really add up base fairs just went up to three dollars this
January and now the MTA has already talked about increasing it again next March
here in New York no matter which line you take or which route you ride the
price has been moving in only one direction up I'm not happy about it at all
but what can we do for more than eight years the base fair held
steady at $2.75. It increased to $2.90 in 2023. Then to $3 this January. For riders who depend on transit every day,
word of yet another increase comes as a shock. But many say they have no other choice.
March 2027. Oh, I didn't know that at all. This commuter is trying to save up for a car. And even riders
who can handle another increase, no, that's not the case for everyone. Did you know that Nancy Pelosi just
scored another big win after her latest investment in Bloom Energy. Her investment is up almost 70%.
This is another stock trade from members of Congress who continue to benefit from insider information,
which is why my good friend Ross Givens is given a training tomorrow, September 30th at 3 p.m.
Eastern time to show you specifically how you can piggyback off those particular trades.
All you got to do is scan the QR code you see on the screen or go to Insider Trades with DeVore.
or simply click the link in the description below.
You're not going to want to miss this training.
And yes, it is completely free.
This is why I say we must track the numbers.
We have to look at the data.
We have to look at the outcomes and the results
and judge them based on what the mayor has stated.
I guess if you want free buses in New York City,
if you want free childcare, if you want free health care,
if you just want free stuff, somehow the mayor is going to,
he has to figure out how that's going to be fun.
And one way to do that is not only to raise taxes, but to increase the fees that people are having to pay when traveling from home to work.
So again, it's another major contradiction.
All right. Speaking of contradictions, we got to go to this breaking news update from the Lindsay Clancy case.
The attorneys were in the courtroom today, and the defense attorney, Mr. Reddington, said something that will shot.
Listen to this.
This is a woman that did not get the medication, did not get the medical treatment that she
so deserved.
This is a woman that was suffering from psychosis at the time that she went down to that
basement.
Where's the evidence that she did this?
Where is the evidence that she did this?
Why would this woman who the...
evidence shows clearly and unequivocally was a nurse, a mother, a friend, did nothing wrong in her life?
Why would she kill those three children?
All right.
I think it's clear what you just heard in those clips.
According to the defense attorney, you know, Lindsay Clancy didn't do anything wrong.
And the prosecution has failed to produce any evidence to prove that she did anything wrong.
I mean, this is what his now case is built upon at this point.
I mean, it's almost a total contradiction, as you guys saw.
On one hand, he admitted originally that she did, in fact, murder those three children.
And then now he's claiming, no, she actually didn't do anything wrong.
And so she should be acquitted.
I don't know how this attorney has gotten away with what he's gotten away with so far.
Not just the mental gymnastics when defending his client, the playing to the cameras
and speaking about President Trump
with a potential pardon,
the attacking,
a potentially Sixth Amendment right
of the holdout juror,
it's a total mess.
But this entire case
really had an interesting turn today.
Listen to this.
Notably, Kevin Reddington,
Lindsay Clancy's lawyer
on his way into the courthouse,
did not answer our questions.
If you remember during the trial,
he would answer all sorts of questions
while coming in and leaving the courthouse.
Today, the only question
that he actually answered
was when I asked him,
we can expect him to no longer talk to the media, he said we will see.
And this is important because the DA's office filed a motion for a gag order that is expected to be addressed in court today.
The DA's office criticized Reddington in that gag order request, writing, quote,
counsel referred to the holdout juror in ways that ensured that the juror could be publicly identified.
Now, we expect to learn more about that gag order request in court here shortly,
and if the Plymouth County DA's office will reach.
try this case and if so under what charges, the court is also expected to address several motions
filed by Clancy's defense team. One is a renewed motion for an acquittal. Another is a motion to
dismiss the case on grounds of double jeopardy. And a third motion requests jury notes and
transcripts of sidebar discussions in court. So ask yourself this question, what type of country are we
when in our justice system a defense attorney can literally attack a holdout juror? Can dox him
put his life in danger or in jeopardy.
And then to the point where you can argue he's literally intimidating future jurors who may
disagree with him.
Like, again, why would you serve in the jury knowing what has happened up to this point?
Unless you agree that she's not guilty.
That's number one.
Number two, notice the amount of media appearances from the defense attorney, the amount of
questions that have been answered from the defense attorney, as,
was just reported, which is why the gag order totally makes sense.
And then the members of the jury themselves.
And it took this long for the holdout juror to finally stand up for himself and deliver this message.
Take a listen.
Hi, my name is Michael Peggy Des Ronville, also known as the loan juror.
I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels that's at hand.
the ones that can't speak for themselves,
the ones that can't defend themselves,
and the one that can't fight the battles.
And those are Cora, Dawson, and Callan.
A little bit about me.
I want to thank God for my Catholic faith.
I want to thank God for bless me with the ability to love my daughter.
And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual,
They have supported me throughout this difficult situation.
And there it is.
He had to literally record that video in an effort to defend himself and set the record straight.
This is not the country we should be living in when jurors have to do that.
Even if I disagreed and they all voted together as 12 that she was not guilty,
I don't believe we would be heckling them in their own lives to the point where they'd have to come out with videos defending themselves.
It's ridiculous.
It's toxic behavior.
And it shows what's broken in our society, particularly women, which is why the prosecution had this to say.
We're hearing now for the first time in this argument that counsel is challenging first the
problem, excuse me, the sufficiency of the evidence as it applies to the three counts of murder.
What we heard throughout the course of trial over and over from counsel was that there was objections
to the presentation of Commonwealth's evidence on the underlying murders.
because the defendant admits, the defendant stipulates, whether the commonwealth agreed to the
stipulation or not. And now, for the first time, the defendant is arguing that there's no evidence
that she did this. And we've talked about it quite a bit that there's a double standard here.
If this was a father who had murdered his three kids, there would have been no hesitation.
The trial would have already been over. He probably would have been sentenced.
Death penalty potentially would have been on the table. We've seen those out.
so we can measure that.
And there was just another story of a woman stabbing her children, by the way, claiming psychosis.
So I guess the question for America, and why don't you leave your answers below,
can women in America who have multitude of kids and end up murdering them,
should the default verdict be not guilty by reason of insanity?
Yes or no?
Some people say that when you murder someone, especially in cold blood and the way that Lindsay did, you are insane.
Some people say, I don't care if she's insane or not.
She's to still be eligible for the death penalty.
Whatever your answers are, share yours in the comments section below because I think that really is at the heart of this debate.
My other takeaway from earlier today regarding Mondani, he's a jokester.
Can't take this man seriously.
I don't think he's going to do anything for Jewish Americans in New York City, but I could be wrong.
and if so, why don't you guys explain it to me below.
