So in a stunning contrast of what's happening in America, there were two rallies today. One in D.C. in regards to the 250th anniversary of our country led by faith leaders. And the other one was led by Democrats screaming about racism due to the latest Supreme Court ruling. And also, Senator Bill Cassidy has met his fate. He's officially been primaried. Is Lauren Boehbert next and Thomas Massey?
Starting point is 00:01:23 Well, we'll talk about that in today's video. But let's start with what happened with Democrats. Take a listen. Right now, thousands are mobilizing for a national day of action for voting rights. Democratic members of Congress joining demonstrators for a rally in Montgomery. And joining me now is New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, a member of the Foreign Relations and Judiciary Committees. Senator, welcome. Glad to have you here. I know it's a busy time there.
Starting point is 00:01:46 We can hear someone speaking behind you. We've heard music. We've had a lot of impactful statements said today, but also festivities. But let's talk about the rally and what you hope will be accomplished by it. today. I'm here in Alabama because my roots are here. I'm here because I know very consciously I'm the descendant of slaves in this country. I'm here because of Americans in times of trial when the Supreme Court in Plessy v. Ferguson or Dred Scott or Korematsu took rights away from people. People didn't just accept that limitations on our democracy. They fought for bolder freedoms.
Starting point is 00:02:24 So that's why I'm here today. It's a rallying cry. This is a civic altar call. of sorts to call people back together like we did a generation ago to better secure the rights that now seem to be so taken away by the Supreme Court. Now, these rallies are a manifestation of what's happened over the past two weeks since the ruling from the Supreme Court regarding Louisiana. Democrats have taken upon themselves to host these rallies to get the voters engaged again on this whole talking point that the Supreme Court's racist, the president is racist, and black people are now losing their rights.
Starting point is 00:03:01 And so we'll go through some of the hyperbole that was spoken today by some of these members of Congress. And at the same time, on D.C., there was a faith event that took place to not only celebrate 250 years of our country, but from a Christianity point of view. So I guess you'll kind of have to contrast that what the parties are focused on. Republicans are focused on that while Democrats are focused on racism. It's interesting. get to AOC because I think her her clip itself went viral.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Let's react to it now. Watch. It is time for the north to pull up to the south. It is time for New York to pull up to Alabama. All of us to come to Georgia, to Louisiana, to Tennessee, to injustice. They think they can draw a sleeping giant that they just awakened. Let's understand that it was not until voting. voting rights were ratified in this country that we got the great society.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Because when black Americans have the right to vote and that vote is protected, funded. Okay, so you've seen this time and time again. I'm sure you're exhausted at this type of politics. I mean, there's plenty of people who don't like the president's true social posts because they call those post toxic. But man, I can't find anything more toxic than that type of rally. where she is spewing those types of talking points. The Voting Rights Act in 1965 was the first of its kind.
Starting point is 00:04:51 There was no ratification. So she's wrong on that. And she's a member of Congress. So she should be careful with her words. And at best, it all happened at the same time as far as the great society is concerned. And you guys already know where I stand on this. I think the great society was an overcorrection. And once again, politicians getting ahead of themselves and trying to fix outcomes
Starting point is 00:05:10 instead of allowing the system to work itself out. But that is a whole another thing. Now, let me show you this next clip. Because if you thought what AOC said was peak ignorance, this next statement might do it for you. Take a listen. There are people in this hostile anti-Black administration that would rather black Americans pick cotton
Starting point is 00:05:31 than pick the president, then pick their congressperson, then pick a senator. They want the representatives. to decide who their voters are instead of the voters determining who their representatives are. Now, this comes from a congresswoman who supported what they did during the 2024 election, where they picked Kamala Harris to be their presidential nominee and did not allow the voters to decide that. So it's interesting that she pulls out that talking point.
Starting point is 00:06:01 And let's not forget, she claims Republicans want black America to go back to picking cotton. I mean, let's just follow this logic in 2026, what black American. would actually be picking cotton today. Let's just be real about it. All right. So this takes this to our partner in crime, Representative Stansbury. I mean, both of these women, I got to tell you guys, hyperbole, if you looked it up in the dictionary,
Starting point is 00:06:22 their faces would be right there for you. This is just another example of it. Here she is saying that she's not going back. And so we are here in the birthplace, the civil rights movement on, as one of the preachers said, sacred ground soaked in prayer, tears, and blood to make it clear to the American people that we are. Well, I mean, based on their logic, she wouldn't be going back.
Starting point is 00:06:49 It would be black Americans that would be going back. It would be black Americans picking cotton. She wouldn't be picking cotton, right? She'd be running the plantation or her father would. Okay, again, I'm just using their logic. So give me some rope here. But guys, this is the type of politics that I can't tell you enough. It's so frustrating to hear it's because it's identity politics.
Starting point is 00:07:08 It's toxic, divisive. And what's interesting is the party complains about President Trump being the most divisive president in history. But here they are, every single weekend hosting a rally that is essentially divisive in America. There's no doubt about it. When you put Americans in different groups based on their skin color and throw that in their face in an effort to make one group feel guilty and another group feel like their victims, you are literally showing the example of divisiveness. Let's go to the opposite side. What were Republicans doing today?
Starting point is 00:07:41 Well, Speaker Mike Johnson had this to say about this entire rhetoric and the rallies coming from Democrats. And notice how calm he is and compare that to what you just watched. What is your message to black Americans, black voters about this redistricting? The Supreme Court issued a long-awaited opinion and I think it was long overdue. And they stated the obvious that drawing congressional lines must be fair. You cannot draw lines on the basis of race. And that's what was done in Louisiana. So they declared it to be an unconstitutional gerrymander, and it was.
Starting point is 00:08:11 This brings back fairness and certainty to the system. And I think a lot of states are looking to make sure that their maps are not unconstitutional like Louisiana's was. Now, if that was me in that chair, I would have been like, listen, Black America, the Supreme Court is finally looking at you as the equal that you are in America. No longer are we going to do things based on your skin color. We're going to do things based on a colorblind version of the U.S. Constitution. So we don't look down upon you anymore. We don't look at you like you're less than. We don't treat you like a victim. We look at you as the American patriot that you are. And that's how the system should be. That's what I'd say. Now, I know a lot of people would probably push back on that
Starting point is 00:08:49 and say, DeVore, you don't understand the white man this, the white man that. And the problem with the thinking overall, why it's so flawed, even if there's some truth to that statement, you're removing responsibility from the individual, no one is responsible for your life except you. No one's going to save you except you. Or obviously, Christ our Lord, as you guys know. But yeah, that type of thinking is not welcome if that makes sense in politics. So, well, let's cap things off with this congresswoman claiming that the Supreme Court is racist. But we know that this is a racist Supreme Court, we know that the president of the United States is afraid that we're going to take back the majority. So we're not being naive.
Starting point is 00:09:38 We know he's going to come after us with every illegal, unlawful thing that he can do. Now, when you hear her statement, she's describing exactly what Democrats are going to do. They're definitely going to go after the president again. There's no question about that. James Comey this morning admitted that out loud. Just hold on for another two years and wait until another Democrat president gets back in power. We will rebuild these institutions. They make no bones about that. They want to change the Supreme Court, implement term limits, you know, go after people who disagree with them. And that's the issue. When Democrats don't get their way,
Starting point is 00:10:15 they seek to change the law in their favor. When Republicans don't get their way, they just take it for what it is and move on. Okay. Now, let me back up my statement, because here's what James Comey said this morning. Watch. If you're bragging about forcing out career prosecutors and agents because the president doesn't like a lawful investigation they conducted, something is seriously broken at the top. But I have great confidence in the people down below who are just trying to hang on. And I'm urging them, hang on two and a half years. And then we can rebuild these institutions, but we need good people in those roles. America does. You know what America needs to do is the people of America need to stand up and treat this country for what it is.
Starting point is 00:10:56 It's their country. It's your country. It's my country. And what we should be seeking to do is at least at a minimum vote out 65% of both sides of these political parties. No question. I think 65% at a minimum of the Republican Party should be primaried by outside candidates. People who are not establishment approved, not backed by the establishment, and they are clear outsiders, not career politicians. and these people should come in and push legislation to implement term limits. I know. Sounds like a perfect world, right?
Starting point is 00:11:28 But it's there. It's there for when the American people decide to wake up. All right, let's go to our next update, and this just shows how much things are changing, particularly in the Republican Party. So Dr. M.D., Bill Cassidy, has lost his primary. He will not be reelected. He's been in Congress for at least 20 years, and he's served some important roles here, especially his expertise regarding health care in America.
Starting point is 00:11:53 And he faced backlash for confirming RFK Jr., as you guys are aware. But he's gone. And the president ended up endorsing his opponent. And so we're going to find out here on Tuesday if the same fate will come for Thomas Massey. But I want you guys to hear Bill Cassidy's closing speech or his concession speech, and you let me know if the voters got it right. Take a look. I've been able to participate in democracy.
Starting point is 00:12:19 and when you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn't turn out the way you wanted to. But you don't pout, you don't whine, you don't claim the election was stolen, you don't find a reason why, you don't manufacture some excuse, you thank the voters for the privilege of representing the state or the country
Starting point is 00:12:46 for as long as you've had that privilege. And that's what I'm doing right now. Yeah, there's someone that's there to react to, First, let's take a look at calshy.com. Make sure to use my promo code DeVore if you want to get a $10 credit. This is a prediction market that you can place your own bets on regarding politics. And what you see here on the screen is about Thomas Massey. If I zoom in here, he's dropped down to 47 percent, a 14 point drop.
Starting point is 00:13:12 His opponent, Ed here, he's up 15 points, up to 55%. And so, yeah, things are looking interesting to say the least. So again, if you guys want to check this out for yourself, is cowsheek.com. Use my promo code divorce to get a $10 credit. Okay, so number one, the talking point for this outcome, and then like I said, if the same happens to Thomas Massey will be that the President Trump's endorsements go a very long way. And what's fascinating is these people are a bunch of hypocrites. You can't have it both ways. You can't say you hate the establishment, but then get upset when President Trump endorses someone who's anti-establishment and that candidate wins. And then say,
Starting point is 00:13:51 well, it's Donald Trump's Republican Party. What they don't understand is the president's going to be gone in two years. Okay. Secondly, getting back to Cassidy here, he voted for the impeachment at President Trump. What did you think was going to happen? After everything that happened to Donald J. Trump, you think he's going to make up with Cassidy? That's the interesting part about it. However, it takes me to his best friend now, his top advisor, in my opinion, and this leads
Starting point is 00:14:18 to some of the criticisms I do have about the president. is Lindsey Graham. Here's what he said in reaction to this outcome. Take a look. He asked you about the news overnight. Senator Bill Cassidy losing his primary in Louisiana. You worked closely with Senator Bill Cassidy on a range of different issues, including a plan to replace Obamacare. He of course voted to convict President Trump back in 2021 in the impeachment trial. Now he's lost his seat. Are you glad that Senator Cassidy is no longer going to be your colleague, Senator? No, I like Bill. I thought he's a great senator, but he made a political decision. He tried to, he voted to impeach President Trump, which would have ruined his political life.
Starting point is 00:14:57 He could never run for office again. Massey's on the ballot Tuesday. He votes against Trump all the time. What's the headline? Trump's strong. Those who try to destroy Trump politically, stand in the way of his agenda are going to lose. Bill made a decision. What would LBJ do? Is it natural for a politician to go after people who try to destroy their political life? So Bill Cassie's lost because he tried to destroy Trump. Massey's going to lose because he's trying to destroy the agenda. You can disagree with President Trump, but if you try to destroy him, you're going to lose because this is the party of Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:15:35 And that last statement from Senator Lindsey Graham is what Democrats will use to push as a talking point that, you know, the Republican Party isn't for the people. They're only for President Trump. And the fascinating part about it is this is an anomaly to our political system. Donald J. Trump is one of one. I don't think there'll ever be someone like him again. And there's never been someone like him in politics. I mean, you could say what you want about Ronald Reagan and some of these other past presidents, but there's no Donald Trump. And what he has proven since he stepped on the scene is he owns politics for all of the good and all of the bad. I mean, that's a fair statement to make. So I don't think that's a smart talking point from Democrats. They're just stating the obvious. And 77 million people voted for him. So what do you expect? At any rate, What Senator Cassidy essentially experienced may be coming for Lauren Bolbert next because she did endorse Thomas Massey publicly. And the president called her out for it. Anybody who could be that dumb deserves a good primary fight.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Even though I long ago endorsed Bobbard, if the right person came along, it would be my honor to withdraw that endorsement and endorse a good improper alternative. Is anyone interested in running against weak-minded Lauren Bowbert in Colorado's fourth congressional district? Yeah, that's exactly what the president had to say. Again, Tuesday is going to be a big day because it will be the nail in the coffin on whether or not that is true. Is it his party or do people like Thomas Massey have more support than what we are anticipating? I do want to start with Senator Cassidy's defeat in Louisiana last night. It's just the latest example of the president's successfully getting revenge against Republicans who cross him. What do you make of that?
Starting point is 00:17:19 Well, good morning. Thanks for having me on. In my experience, Senator Cassidy is a normal, honest, and very conservative Republican. And it turns out people like that have less and less of a home in Donald Trump's Republican Party. We are seeing more and more extreme candidates put forward in their House and Senate races, which does create a big opening for Democrats. That doesn't mean that Democrats don't have to do the work. But I think it shows you that the Republican Party is organized less and less around conservative principles, more and more around one man. And as that one man remains deeply unpopular, they're having a very hard time convincing the rest of America to vote for them, which is why they're spending less time convincing their voters and more time rearranging voters and silencing voters through gerrymandering. Now, we played you that clip to demonstrate how Democrats literally talk about themselves,
Starting point is 00:18:15 but they want people to believe they're talking about the Republican Party. because everything he just described there is the Democrat Party, essentially. Now, one could argue that they don't really rally behind one person, but I would argue with that. That person is Barack Obama. There's no doubt about it. And if he had it his way, Kamala Harris would not have been the presidential candidate. We know all about that.
Starting point is 00:18:35 But everywhere we go when there's an election or something big happening with Democrats, who's in the room, Barack Obama. And the interesting part here is this is nothing new. I mean, any party would want someone like Donald J. Trump leading in it up, someone with his amount of political capital, as they may say. And that's something Democrats lack today, really. I mean, Barack Obama, man, his approval ratings, it's followed off a cliff. No one likes him anymore.
Starting point is 00:19:00 And that really is the reality for the Democrat Party. But why don't you guys give me your thoughts in the comments section below to both of these stories today? What did you make of Senator Bill Cassidy being primaried out? What do you think of Lauren Bowbert? She may face another primary herself. what do you think is going to happen with Thomas Massey? His election is on Tuesday. Give me your estimation on that and then also your reaction to these rallies today.
