And then you can come to the show. If there was no square space, we wouldn't be able to tour. I'll go one further. I wouldn't have met Dave without Squarespace. That's right.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Would we be living together, you and I, if we didn't have a square space, in this little shed we have? I'd like to say I hope so, but I doubt it. I doubt it, too. Squarespace put us together, and that's why we're living in a shed in my mom's backyard. The shed, by the way, of interesting little, it's a square space. I love it, Gareth. It's why we're living together. Here's what we're saying.

Starting point is 00:01:16 Go get it. My father's dead. You killed you. They think that I'm shiny. I am a pie man. I'm Pete Rose. And I only go to Gold's Gym, this one specifically.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Rumor is that his penis is broke. And show up where the taco bar was. His brain just fucking exploded. River of cheese. You've been drinking any gnome juice? No, officer. My dad had a fart chair. Hey, cover me.
Starting point is 00:01:41 But I don't care. I just want to be out of the genocide realm. I'm only buying stuff from Saudi Arabia now because I care. You're listening to the Dole Up on the All Things Comedy Network. You know what we do. This is a podcast. American History podcast, actually, where each week, I mean, this selected amount of weeks, I, Gareth Reynolds, read a story from American history to my best friend's son.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Dave Anthony, the man who pulls it all together and makes it great. Also, I've never heard of what's, but I do now because it's second episode. The first episode was very, it was, there was enough negative. Two thousand four. Hold on. There was enough negative stuff in there, but man, you went a little, a little too hard on it. You can't. That's why I couldn't do a episode on whatever, Jerry Rice or Joe Montana or something like that.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Yeah, but those are villains. Those are football. But I can do one on Perry Bonds. And I would have a problem because it's going to happen. It's already written. I will have a problem. I'm walking you through. I will have a problem because I both love him and hate him.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I'm trying to tell the story of Brett Favv through, yes, partially the eyes of me, but also football treated him like a fucking God. And which leads us to the beginning. Brett Fav is the king of football. And in a game against the Giants, Favre suffers a concussion. He was checked and told to stay on the sidelines. But somehow he put himself back. the game with zero clearance from doctors.
Starting point is 00:03:27 So he just jumps in, whips a 28-yard touchdown to Javon Walker on a fourth down, celebrates, is immediately pulled and benched. After the game, he said he didn't remember throwing the pass. Well, why would you? I remember that. I was like, dokey-dokey. This is a little before the full CTE stuff. Are we saying he put himself in the game?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Like he just ran out there? He did that. And they were like, no, you're out of the game. Everyone was like, why is he out there? But what was the other quarterback doing? He like went off the field. He was like, well, Farv's in. Farv never missed.
Starting point is 00:04:00 So you're just like, whatever. Sadly, Farv began to have disappointing seasons after this. That's weird. Though he was still breaking records as he was in the midst of a Hall of Fame career. One record he was on pace to break, career interceptions. In 2005, he led that category at 29. With diminishing skills, Farv began toying with the idea of retirement publicly. And the Packers fans lost their fucking minds.
Starting point is 00:04:24 nobody wanted him to walk away interceptions and all Farrv was a football Jesus he announced that he would be back for the next season and now he was coming for some big time records 2006 he became the first player to complete 5,000 passes in his career
Starting point is 00:04:38 2007 he surpassed John Elway for total wins at 149 weeks later he passed Marino for most touchdowns at 421 later that season after beating the Chiefs for the first time in his career Farrv became one of only three quarterbacks to beat every team aside from the Packers who he was playing for though some of the fans would argue he beat the Packers in a lot of games.
Starting point is 00:04:57 But on Thanksgiving that year, he beat the Lions with three TD passes and surpassed Marino for the most three touchdown games at 63, and he won Fox's Galloping Gobbler Award. Yeah, okay. Remember the Galloping Gobbler? Of course I don't. The six-licked turkey. Okay. You don't remember it?
Starting point is 00:05:18 No. The winning team gets to eat the turkey. It's a big deal. It's not. It's absolutely not a big deal. In the 2007 season, Favre threw for 4,155 yards with 28 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, and he led the Packers to a 13 and 3 regular season record, second seat in the playoffs. After beating Seattle in a snow game at home, they were one game away from the Super Bowl when the Giants came to town.
Starting point is 00:05:43 And the Packers lost in overtime after a terrible, and I mean terrible, Brett Farv pick. Many wondered if this was Farve's last game as a Packer. this interception, he was getting so sloppy. He was like, you'd be in, you'd be like, all right, here we go. Come back. And he would just law. And you'd go, what the fuck? Pick.
Starting point is 00:06:04 End game. This is in playoffs. This one, a few days after they showed the, like, his options, he threw it to Donald Driver, it got picked. Donald Driver blanketed, like literally the guy's on him. Every other receiver has two to seven yards. So he just went, he was, he was going like first option, first option. And this was actually like the first time when people like, bro, like as a game away from the fucking Super Bowl, right away and overtime.
Starting point is 00:06:34 The Giants just kicked a field goal over. This is why if you're an athlete, you retire on top. David Ortiz, other sort of. So, Manning. Yeah. Skills wise, he wasn't, but he left on a Super Bowl. But when you leave, when you're on top before you, because a lot of these guys, then it doesn't work out for the team. Then they go to another team.
Starting point is 00:06:59 It's like, eh. And it's never that good anymore. But they, if they, if he just walked away, he's the golden boy until the end of time. He, he still is. He's not. But he talked about. He's a fucking piece of shit. His whole fucking career, he talked about like not wanting to like, he wanted, he wanted to leave on top.
Starting point is 00:07:20 He wanted to leave when he still had some shit in the tank. He clearly doesn't do that. He does have shit in the tank. Not as much as most of us because the... Oh, yeah. They took out 17 miles. I forgot about... I forgot about throat to ass.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Belly tube. But he retired. On March 4th, 2008, he had a teary-eyed retirement press conference, and he formally announced his retirement. Quote, I know I can play. But I don't think I want to. It's like I told the team. I just don't think I can give it everything I'm supposed to give anymore.
Starting point is 00:07:49 I've given everything I can pop. possibly give to this organization, the game of football, and I don't think I've got anything left to give. You do. It's been a great career for me, but it's over. As they say, all good things must come to an end. I look forward to whatever my future may hold for me. It was pretty shocking.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Fans. It shouldn't be shocking. Why is it shocking? Because he just, he was, he was never supposed to go. What do you? This is crazy. What are you fucking talking about? Fans couldn't believe he was actually happening.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Maybe it was because he toyed with the, because he toyed with the, because he toyed with with the fans' emotions for so long before walking away. He loved, and I mean love, to make people worry he was going to retire. It started in 2002 when he told Peter King, I wish I could just mow my own lawn and go home. Every season, he said he needed time to think. He would take this time, something cryptic, and then return. I mean, it was every fucking year. And then he would, he would have a little, like, ceremony, and he'd be like, I'm coming back. And everyone would be like, Yay! Look, if you don't follow the NFL,
Starting point is 00:08:54 certain fan bases are fucking deranged. And one of them is the Packers. Why? You have a fucking tattoo. You are deranged people. The Browns are the same way out of their fucking minds. Yeah, but we're good. There are okay, but you're fucking deranged.
Starting point is 00:09:11 You're fucking deranged. There is a difference. You would be the same way as the Browns if you weren't successful. Maybe. But it's different. If you're in the cult and you get to get fucked by the leader and eat fruit, it's different than being the one who cleans the sewers. You are so giving off Alex Burns energy that it is crazy. But now he was done.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Until July 2nd, when he reached out to the Packers and said he wanted to unretire and return. You don't get to unretire. The Packers didn't want that. So on July 11th, he wrote a letter publicly saying that if saying that they would be. he wrote a letter saying if they wouldn't make Aaron Rogers' backup, he wanted to be released. What took place over the summer was pretty insane. This weird game of chicken where Farve wanted to pick his team and the Packers wanted to avoid him going to a divisional rival like the Vikings or the Bears. So the Packers scrambled.
Starting point is 00:10:04 This beloved legend had put them in an unheard of jam. The Packers eventually suggested paying him $20 million to stay retired and be some kind of team consultant. Sort of like a fuck-off fee. Farve said This is because you have a deranged fucking fan base Or else that doesn't happen That is true
Starting point is 00:10:23 Because what they really didn't want Was they just were like He cannot go to another team He at this point doesn't He like is kind of like fuck the Packers a little bit Sure He don't like the GM He didn't think they gave them receivers
Starting point is 00:10:33 And that stuff And he felt like they kind of forced him to retire whatever he retired But then he wants to come back So then they are And they are losing their minds Because of what you said They're like
Starting point is 00:10:43 They know that him playing for another team is such a, it's just bad for the legacy, whatever they were counting on. So, Farrve was offered $20 million to just basically be... That is so fucking crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:57 It's crazy. $20 million. I got paid, I got paid, like $100,000 to stop writing a script once. That's pretty great. I mean, nothing's better than the BMA.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I was just like, yes. I had a couple of friends who were in a writer's room and the third day of the show, they were like, we were not doing the show, and they got paid out from, like, you know, like 12 weeks. It's incredible to get paid for not working.
Starting point is 00:11:23 By the way, I felt like we had previously discussed this, but you went shorts today. I didn't, I thought I brought pants. I was so bummed. It's horrible. It looks like a Giacan Marco. It's horrible.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Yeah, we have fat jarred Marco. So far over the $20 million. There isn't a perfect solution to this, but Mark Murphy, the Packers President, is at least trying. We know what they want and where I stand. His solution, although awkward and unsettling for most, may be the best in the end. That's also hilarious to me. Can I ask you a question?
Starting point is 00:11:55 Sure. Does he go back and live in Mississippi in between seasons? Yes. No, no, he goes home. Okay. Yeah. So he, and a lot of this is like, I know you think I'm embellished, but there's like a chopper over his house. There's like.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Because of this? because of this because a local Wisconsin chopper no no like ESPN had ESPN was like fueling the shit out of this of course they were so they're like there's a chopper over his house they're showing like officials I mean it goes on forever it's like the Packers coach is going to meet with him all this stuff and they're trying to work it out they Aaron Rogers was the you know the heir parent so they were like we're starting him and then Farrv wants to come back and then it's just the most awkward shit but ESPN is inflating I mean this is like right around the Disneyfication But any, I also think it's funny that Farve's like, this might be the best solution. It's like, bro, just don't take $20 million. You're worth so much money. Go fuck yourself. How much money do you think he has at this point? Well, he's, I mean, he had endless endorsements.
Starting point is 00:13:00 He did. Endless endorsements. He's got over $100 million. He's doing copper fit. He's doing nasal trimmers. He's doing Wrangler jeans. He's doing tons and tons of shit. So he's tons of money.
Starting point is 00:13:10 $150, $200 million. Yeah. He doesn't, he doesn't, he doesn't. not need any more money. I need 20 million, but he's money obsessed. So in the end, the Packers traded Favre to the New York Jets on August 7th, 2008. He was back in the big Apple. I forgot about this.
Starting point is 00:13:25 This is crazy. I just remember where he ends up. Yeah. The Jets immediately sold 10,500 new seats within the first month. Farr's number four jersey was the number one jersey sold. Another completely deranged fan base. Completely insane. Completely deranged.
Starting point is 00:13:42 But they were valid. I validated early on the trade. Right out of the gate, the Favre Magic was back. They started eight and three, and Favd looked rejuvenated. But then he tore his bicep tendon, and he sort of lost the zip on the ball. He played through a torn bicep on his throwing on. I've done that. That's insane.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Who hasn't played through a torn bicep? Even if you look at torn bicep, you're like, that's putty. I mean, any tendon that is torn in the arm. It's crazy. But because your whole, you start to put, the emphasis on muscles and other parts of your arm to make up for what you're throwing and then it fucks up the rest of your arm. I mean,
Starting point is 00:14:21 like granted, so he played through the torn bicep, they ended up going nine and seven and they missed the playoffs. So it's his fault. Well, yeah, he plays through it. But obviously he's greatly affected by it. But even then, like,
Starting point is 00:14:33 trying to throw with a torn bicep is crazy. You really have to completely let other parts of your body take over to do that. So Farve knew his body was betraying him more and more. And on February 11th, 2009, how old is he? He's, I think he's probably like, he's got to be like getting 40. He's almost 40.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I would have just lived out that 10. He's probably 39 or 40. I would have just lived out that 10-year contract and fucking kicked up my shoes. Well, it's also, this is what is so comical about him. The way that he said he wanted to be and what he actually did. He never wanted to play.
Starting point is 00:15:11 past his expiration date. He was just a simple guy. He had simple needs. And in reality, he's a fucking psychopath. I mean, he has no empathy. He's completely selfish. Another guy plays behind you. I mean, the Aaron Rogers situation, just even imagine, like, feeling like you could go back
Starting point is 00:15:29 into a locker room comfortably after you retire. Yeah. They start a new guy and then you're like, I'm back. It's like so fucking weird. It definitely, parts of this have been like, yeah, he's a psycho. Yeah. Definitely, yeah. But for a long time, it was, he's a good old boy.
Starting point is 00:15:45 And then as you see it progressed, you just go, this guy really only cares about one fucking thing. But we in San Francisco knew that all along. Farr finally retired after 18 seasons of the NFL. He was done. It was over. Quote, I have family and friends who are like, all right, Brett. Is this the real deal?
Starting point is 00:16:01 Farrv said during a conference call, to me, it is. All right. It's over. Believe me. He's done. It's been a wonderful career. End of career. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Starting point is 00:16:09 No more playing. It was worth it. shot for me to go to New York. I wish I could have played better down the stretch. All done. It's time to leave. Farve insisted that even if he felt better next season, he would be done, quote, it's time. Nothing I would second guess. No, he said. Yeah, it's time. However, it turns out, there was a lot more going on in New York than just what Fav was struggling with on the field. Jen Sturger was a band nerd who never even liked football. Even in college, she said she felt like a, quote, weirdo. But she went to Florida State where football
Starting point is 00:16:41 was more important than air. So she would go to the games when she could. On a Monday night game in 2005 against the rival Miami Hurricanes, Jen's life changed forever. She'd finished bartended and ended up wearing a bikini top to the game because she got booze all over her shirt at work. Done this. The camera found her a lot that night because, you know, bikini top. The titties are out. Brent Musburger, who was commenting on the game, commentating on the game. And, well, when the camera hit her... He's a big, let's just say he's a big tech guy. When the camera went to her, he said this. 1,500 red blood Americans just decided to acquire to Florida.
Starting point is 00:17:17 1,500 red blood Americans just decided to apply for a scholarship. To Florida State. Yeah. Just decided to apply to Florida State because. Because of a 25-year-old's cleavage. Look, as, I mean, if you're listening to some out of the country, we choose our colleges based on titties. It's a big thing. We always have.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I mean, you either go to Big Ten or Big Tit. Yeah. It's also so fucking weird. Well, it's great for a really old guy. He's probably in a 70s there, apparently, to be commenting on a 25-year-old's breast. It's just cool. Honestly, that is what is so weird.
Starting point is 00:17:55 I was alive here, obviously. And the, you just look back and you just go, this wasn't, like, if that happened now, I guarantee, obviously there'd be a big bunch of people would be like, fuck, what do you watch? Fuck, your tits were all that stuff. But to, like, to your point, you would, there would be some people who would,
Starting point is 00:18:15 like Bill Marr when he had that only fans girl on recently. It's just like, watch an old man creep on young women. Like, he's not even being predatory. He's just being comfortable being like, what a set of tits. All right, fourth and eight. And it was even worse because, like, this is almost a good version.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Because before that, they were saying it about fucking teenagers all the time. Yeah, dude. so you know It's crazy Not like And the other thing is it's like Delea still does Yeah well he's yeah
Starting point is 00:18:44 A friend of show He was supposed to join us in studio Cancel He chased a school bus I guess Well I got his name tattooed on my back Yeah you did Yeah
Starting point is 00:18:54 Yeah but you didn't do the apostrophe I did not do the apostrophe So it doesn't count So all the fucking sports dudes Are now infatuated with Jen Sturger She went viral She's just a girl in the fucking crowd But she goes viral
Starting point is 00:19:11 She had photos published on Deadspin She became known as the cowgirl at the games And she leaned into it She wore tops that had some cleavage That led to her Doing a spread of maximum That led to her doing non-nude pics and playboy She was number 19 of the hottest women on the web
Starting point is 00:19:27 On the E countdown which I know you remember Yep Remember E? That was weird Actually that's all we play in my house so just have old VHS teams. Oh, old ones. I'm Steve Kometko. You're like, we're back.
Starting point is 00:19:41 This all led to the Gen X Road Show, where she would go on the road to different sporting events and conduct interviews for Sports Illustrated. She was just 25. Then in 2008, she was hired to be a Jets sideline reporter. And you know who else was in New York with the Jets? Brett Farr? Well, well.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Farve took notice. Aaron Rogers? Farve took notice of her during a Jets team meeting. Farve was interested. He was also still married to his wife who had just beaten breast cancer a few years prior. But whatever. Wait. So this is from her wiki.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Jen Sturger is an American comedian model and television. She does do stand-up now. I was thinking we should have her on the fucking past. If you want. We follow each other in a couple things. Okay, so first there were the weird cryptic MySpace messages Jen received on MySpace from an account called Screaming Lord Byron. We've all done that.
Starting point is 00:20:43 On 822, 2008. Screaming? The message was, quote, The message was, quote, What would you say if I told you Brett Farve wanted your phone number, end quote? Well, you'd say yes. Like, what? She thought it was a joke and ignored it.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Oh, okay. But then it got more serious. More came in from a different account and an email. Yelling. Yelling. Yelling God, ribin. More came from a different account and an email. Quote, I saw you in the tunnel at the game last week.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I got your name from a front office person. I'm new to the team with gray hair. All the info I can give you. Don't want to give too much away, but I want to try to reach out to you without being obvious. I will say, having read a lot of, if this says, FARFF messages, the grammar and the spelling is pretty difficult.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Well, Mississippi does have the lowest rated education. Well, it's why they got to put the same letters in Mississippi twice all the time. They just make sure. They let him go. August 23rd, 2008, quote, If you get this today and don't believe it, Jared Winley works at PR for Jets. He will either slip you my number or ask for yours. More tech.
Starting point is 00:21:57 So he's getting other people. Imagine getting a PR. our guy in on this. Again, he's married. Married. What am I saying? That doesn't fucking matter. It does. You know. But, you know, but these guys are getting shit. I know, but it's still, it's like, yeah. This hasn't changed. Yeah, it's
Starting point is 00:22:12 it hasn't. But it's crazy that it's the fucking baseline. And yeah, it's crazy that other people are doing this. More texts. Quote, come over tonight? Question mark. More. Quote, I'll send you a car. Wait a minute. He just went straight to come over tonight? All of a sudden, like from all the shit that he's just, hey,
Starting point is 00:22:28 what about if this guy sleeps you? What if I get the PR man from the Jets to slip you a little, hello, this is my number. You want to come over to my house? It fucking screams of guy who has never had to fucking, you know, like privileged athlete brain. This is something I get. She ignored it, all of it.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Another text. I'm sure, but also put in there like, she's getting this from multiple fucking, like, the number of dudes coming out of her is fucking crazy. But this is still crazy. And she's getting, like, B-Farv from Hotmail.com. Like, it's, like, very obvious. There were also voicemails, okay?
Starting point is 00:23:07 Here's two of them. Jim. It's not a setup. Just got that one practice. Got meetings here. And I went for about a couple more hours. I'm going back to the hotel and just chill. So, the mid-deck.
Starting point is 00:23:31 because I'll be in the building for a couple hours. I love to have you come over tonight. But I know I think Aaron came up and asked you if you, you know, my number or he was going to give you my number. But I understand. But the mid-tech. Love to see you tonight. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Talk to you later. Bye. And some garbage can, huh? Well, that's what you think I think of you. All right. Well, I'm still trying. Just got done with practice. I'll try the other phone.
Starting point is 00:24:22 You probably call it idea. But you can make it. It's great. All right. Later. Famous guy brain is such a weird brain. Yeah. Famous Forever Guy Brain, too.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Yeah, because, well, first of all, but he's also now on the, the downslope very much of being like able to get it whenever he wants. Yeah. He's on the other end of that. Now he's older. And older is not as attractive. He's not as good. Like all of the stuff that he was is no longer there. So he can't quite comprehend. Well, but I also, I don't even think it's, it's not even like skill related. It's, you know, he is, it's privilege related. Yeah. He thinks that if he wants it, he keeps asking. Yeah. He's going. to get it. Yes. Because he deserves everything. He gets it. He gets everything. Yeah. And he has. I mean, he's had to what you were saying before. The Homer thing in Wisconsin. Like this dude,
Starting point is 00:25:17 this fucking dude was the king. He was the king. So he's very used to getting whatever the fuck he wants. It's the same. We brought up a Rothsburger in the first episode. He would walk into a bar and go, who wants to blow me and just walk down the line of women at the bar and go, do you want to blow me? Do you want to blow me? Do you want to blow me? And one would say yes. And they'd go in the bathroom and he would get a blowjob. Like that was. like very well known. And yet when I'm at yuck yucks and I do that to the 35 people that are there, any gender, non-gender specific, everyone is just furious.
Starting point is 00:25:53 And I'm a, you know what I mean? It's crazy. Are you a headliner yet? No, I do, I do MC and I sell merch. But what, but again, what was the point? Have you been on Rogan yet? I do a lot of Rogan. I do a lot of Rogan.
Starting point is 00:26:10 By the way, the new elephant graveyard. Oh, my God. I'm halfway through it. You know, he's a fan of Elvogra. Oh, is he really? I love him. He's getting, I tweeted this. He's getting better while his, I'm going to say prey.
Starting point is 00:26:27 His prey are getting worse. And he's affecting his prey, too. And yes, and it's fucking fascinating to watch. If people don't know, go watch Elephant Graveyard YouTube videos, if you want to really get your finger on the pulse of modern day stand-up. So those are the voicemails. Those were obviously Brett Favre. She ignored it, all of it.
Starting point is 00:26:48 There were other texts. And unfortunately, Dave, there were also pictures. Because these guys, so I've never, it's never, would never occur to me to just send a picture of my cock to a woman. You don't know that's what it is. I know, but it would never occur to me. But these guys, and I'm actually astounded by how many men are like, I really like her, man, where she sees this. Like, what, how do you...
Starting point is 00:27:17 It's crazy. How do you have so little game that that's your go-to? It's crazy. I like this. You should like it. It's crazy. It's fucking insane. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:26 It also shows how little you know about women. Yes. Like, you just saying, I don't know what a woman is. Because if guys get a picture of a vagina or tits, they're like, whoa. Yeah. So they're like, women like that, too. You're a fucking idiot. But to be a star and do it is really crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:27:45 So these are some of the pictures she received. You and I are going to look at them now. That's a little, that is a little. That's a little. That's a thick little fella. It's not, and they're not a big groomer. Definitely not a groomer. There's no grooming happening.
Starting point is 00:28:02 That looks like a dead upside down palm tree. Here's another one. Oh, he's got his hands. in there. Is that a foot? Yeah, yeah, there's a foot in that. No, I don't have it. Oh, he's laying on the bed. He's laying on the bed, yeah. He's just got his cock in his hand. Yeah, and Jen
Starting point is 00:28:17 has referenced this. I was unable to find it, but there is one where he shows his penis and he's wearing crocs. Look, dude, look. But these are lazy dick picks, but this is by far the laziest dick pick. Look at that. It looks like he's pissing at a
Starting point is 00:28:33 urinal. Yeah, that really does. That really does. I'm not saying I'm like the fucking king of dick picks, but if you're... Let's get it going. Let's get the guy in a good spot if you're going to send it. Again, I can't, I can't. I do think he's genuinely really stupid. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Like, maybe I'm totally naive. Maybe fucking celebrities do this all the time. I just can't believe you would do this as a celebrity. It's crazy. It's crazy. You're completely right. I think it's insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:08 It's insane. It's going to come back on you. What are you doing? If she has never responded to you, what the fuck? You live in the Mossad era. What are you doing? You're self-emsteining yourself. The idea that you're just like, okay, cool, send it to the cloud and then to Jen Sturger.
Starting point is 00:29:26 You're Brett Farf. Like, Brett Farf should literally be doing, like, he should be sending pictures of his dick that are in envelopes that are waxed. sealed shut on horseback. Yes. Someone should be going to deliver it in the midst of the night and be like, Mr. Gerger. Like if you. A letter from the far.
Starting point is 00:29:46 If you send like some sort of special contract through the mail, how people make you put in a password. Yeah. Like that kind of level of security. That level of security. You should go to a security deposit box and like two keys turn at the same time and then it comes out. And then it just like a mission impossible letter just burns.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Instead, Farms like, did you get the one where I, I'm a dick looks sunburned and I have crocs on. And I put my number on it. I put my number on it in my name. Sturger tossed her phone across the room and they kept coming. It happened multiple times. In fact, Sturger...
Starting point is 00:30:21 Okay, you did it. If you're a dick pick guy, after the first dick pick, it's over, dude. Yeah. The fact that you would keep... Did you... This is pretty still... Basically, did you see my dick?
Starting point is 00:30:33 No, but did you see my dick? No, but did you see my dick? You know what he's doing. You know what he's doing. After interceptions, he's trying to throw a touchdown. He really is. And it's so true. The issue here is, but that's like, I, it's so hard to get into the psyche.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Well, he's very, like you said, he's incredibly competitive. And this is part of competition. But it's also like, change the game. I mean, it's harassment. So I'm not like suggesting you keep going. This is insane. This is, at some point you go, all right, Dick Pick's not working. Gift cards.
Starting point is 00:31:08 right yeah tg i freda's gift cards but he's like he's like 15 years older than her um more yeah how can it never just take everything out one big thing is like guess some ladies don't want to date older how could you not think that that might there's so many ways they but like she might think you're an old guy so this is super fucking gross hey bro she ain't into it she's not into it you're like a little younger than musburger yeah Sturgertr claims that in one of the photos, Farv, allegedly, center. He's masturbating while wearing a pair of crocs. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Now I'm back on his side. That should be a crox ad. In another photo, Farv is holding his penis while wearing the wristwatch he wore during his first teary-eyed retirement press conference with the Packers. Oh, so this, this would be the thing that really nails him because he's him. Because he's clearly not putting his face or any identifying thing in there, but he just fucking did. By the way, I can tell from his leg. She was horrified, but she kept quiet. about it. So she didn't tell anyone. Anyways, Farve was now officially retired for good. So no need to
Starting point is 00:32:18 worry about the constant sexual harassing and pseudo-cyber stalking of Jen Sturger. Career is over. Yes. No, no, no, he retired twice. He's done. Well, well, he's done. Well, he was retired until May when the Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress set up a meeting with Farv to discuss him possibly playing with the team. The Vikings were one of those teams that the Packers and their fans could simply not have Farrv joint. You see, Dave, we Packer fans hate the Vikings. Why, they're annoying, they're purple, it's a whole thing. We play them twice a year because they're division rivals. Anyways, in July, Childress said Fav would not be coming out of retirement. So he was
Starting point is 00:33:03 done. Farv, quote, I don't wonder if I made the wrong decision. I know it's the right one. It's kind of funny. Even when I'm retired, they won't let me stay retired. What do you mean they? You know, them. You're the one not letting you stay retired. Not necessarily. No. The fire of unofficially unretired and signed with the Minnesota Vikings on August
Starting point is 00:33:24 18th. It sent a dick pick to the papers. Gave a press conference through his ass cheeks and dick pick. That's what he should have done to Jen. What? Asked-talking. Yeah, asked. Show the fucking brown hole having a conversation. me. I really like you, Jen. I work with Brett Forb.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I work for Brett Forb. Packer fans are furious. They were burning his jersey, smashing his memorabilia, calling him Fredo. You guys are fucking dorks. Farv said, quote, I understand how fans feel. I've always been a Packer and I'll always be a Packer. Not a traitor, but I am a Viking now and I'm here to win.
Starting point is 00:33:59 And when he did, David, Farrv was on fire, new bicep, new Fav. He also had a running back and child abuser Adrian Peterson and a real defense. And they kept winning. Is a child abuser? Well, yes.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I mean, it depends your definition of child abuse. If you beat your son with reeds on his legs. Are you a child abuser? Yeah. So there you go. He got suspended for a whole year from the NFL. I just always surprised when football players are violent. He...
Starting point is 00:34:27 Because they're all roided up and their whole game is violent. It's like, it's like, it's crazy. Adrian Peterson was like, he had, did it. It's goofy. Like, everyone was like, right. There's like pictures of his son's legs. And everyone was like, yeah, it's crazy. Seriously?
Starting point is 00:34:41 Crazy. Gareth Reynolds, the dollop, is brought to by Squarespace. Okay. Look, I've said this once and I'll say it again. SEO tool, that's actually my favorites. I'd rather you not get involved in that. It stands for a search engine optimization. It's very important. But they do it all. Starting point is 00:37:06 Yep. Gareth, the dollop is also brought to you by Helix. Helix Sleep. Oh, you know, I'm on the road right now, and you know what I'm missing. Oh. You hate it. You don't like to be on the road. I'm missing my helix.
Starting point is 00:37:21 You're away from your little baby, your little helix. I'm on my helix every night, sleeping like a babe. Love my helix mattress. I used to get a little bit of lower back pain before my helix mattress. I also used to get hot more often. I don't know what it is about the helix, I'm not getting the back pain anymore, and I am not getting hot in the middle of night.
Starting point is 00:37:42 I'm sleeping like a little babe. Now, I'll say this. I'm happy that you're happy, but I think I speak for everyone when I say, I'd like you a little sweatier in the night. I kind of like that vibe for you. Okay. That got really weird.
Starting point is 00:37:54 No, no, I'm just saying. We both have the same mattress. We went to their... Yeah. We went to their website. We took the test, and it told us what mattress to get. The same mattress,
Starting point is 00:38:03 so we will often sleep at each other's houses. Just spooning. It's a great mattress to spoon in for a couple of fellas. Yep. And also it comes to your house. They ship it to you. You open up the box. It comes out.
Starting point is 00:38:18 It flops around and it's ready. It's a mattress. Yeah. It takes its first breath in front of you. It's awesome. You're there every step of the way with it. Yeah. They have free shipping, seamless delivery, right to your door.
Starting point is 00:38:31 120-night sleep trial, limited lifetime warranty. I did my 120-night sleep. I was found guilty. That's weird. That wasn't actually, it wasn't. I go, what's that all about? You should have been put on trial. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:45 It should have just been a trial for sleeping on the mattress, not, you weren't on trial yourself. That shouldn't have happened. I'll tell you what, the jet, well, thankfully the case got thrown out. One of the people on the jury turns out I went to high school with, but it was a long, 120 nights. That's a long trial. So look, we recommend it.
Starting point is 00:39:06 It's an award-winning mattress. Helix is the most awarded mattress brands. Test and reviewed by experts like Forbes and Wired. So here is what you're going to do. You're going to go to Helixasleep.com slash dollop for
Starting point is 00:39:21 27% off statewide. That's helixleep.com slash dollop for 27% off statewide, which is exclusive for listeners of the dollop. Helixleep.com slash dollop.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Week four was a huge game that season. Farve had his first game against his former team, the Packers. In the home game against Green Bay, he had 271 passing yards, three touchdowns in the 3023 Vikings victory. It was one of the most watched regular season games in NFL history, bringing in 21.8 million viewers, which is crazy. With the victory over the Packers, he became the first quarterback to beat every team,
Starting point is 00:39:59 and the Vikings were 6 and 0 going into week seven. How did you feel? It's furious. What? Wanted to fucking, it's furious. Did you have a hard? time sleeping that night? No, I think we're now getting into the years where I, I know what, I still really
Starting point is 00:40:14 cared because before this season, Jake Johnson and I were on a hike and Jake is a Bears fan and he's such a little fucking instigator. Let me just say that when I poke you with the Bears, it's weird. It is weird. Okay? I'll admit it. I got a problem. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:31 It's like me with the Dodgers. Jake and I are hiking and he's like, this before, like I'm saying, they had the cameras over Farve's place and all that shit. and Jake's going, what do you do if he goes to the Vikings? I go, he's not going to the Vikings. He goes, what do you do if he wins a Super Bowl of the Vikings? I go, it's not going to happen. He goes, well, let's make it interesting.
Starting point is 00:40:49 He goes, what happens if he does? I go, I'll, I said, I'll literally go, I'll cut my dick off. He goes, let's bring it down to Earth. And I'm heated. And he goes, how about if he starts half of the Super Bowl and they win, he starts under a half with stun count. but if he plays more than a half with the Vikings with the Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:41:10 you get a tattoo on your calf of far in a Viking's jersey that says MVP under it. This is the greatest bet I've ever heard of it. And I go, yeah, and I shook his hand. You said yes to that? I said yes, and I shook his hand. And then people were like,
Starting point is 00:41:22 what did you get if it didn't happen? I go, and nothing. What in the goddamn fuck? He just used your own anger against you. He has. In which you would be permanently stained. He has many times. But this was.
Starting point is 00:41:37 was maybe his finest work. But you do get very upset when I poke you with them. I don't care for it. Because they're going to be good this year. They will be. They're not going to be as good as Packers. Anyway, well, the Giants will be better. The Vikings finished 12 and four. His stats were pretty nuts. He threw for 4,202 passing yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions, which was a career best. So he's, so he's all, he, so this is like that game he said when his dad died, which allegedly his dad died. I'm pretty sure that was perfect. And so he, when he's upset. or emotional, he focuses more.
Starting point is 00:42:11 So he's a little mad at the Packers now. And he doesn't like what the fans are doing. I may, look, I'm not trying to, I'm not, no part of my bias is in this. But it was a whole year. I mean, he was having one of these seasons where you were like, Jesus Christ. By the way, keep in mind, I'm watching this season going, fuck the tattoo. Like, I was just. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Yeah, there was it. So he's. So good. So this season, I'm going. going to go to the Super Bowl. They are, they were the, I think they were the two seed. Fortunately, the Vikings. They were the two seed.
Starting point is 00:42:47 So they get a buy. They win their first game. They're in the NFC championship game. You're not going to do the tattoo. Jake is sending, okay. Oh my God. He's sending me dimensions, but he also told me, he told me like, spoiler, they lose. But he told me that all my friends knew about it.
Starting point is 00:43:08 and they were so excited and he told me he was like I wasn't 100% I was gonna make you do it but he was like when I watched this game with like 30 friends are you fucking shitting me and Jake was there and it was like everyone
Starting point is 00:43:24 was rooting for a tattoo of my calf of course they were it was the weirdest energy it was toxic masculinity it's great it was the energy was insane so everyone's watching but Jake was like
Starting point is 00:43:35 I wasn't sure if I was gonna make you do it but he's like after that setup I was like, well, I can't back out. Okay, so it's the NFC championship game, the Vikings against the Saints at home, and Favre is getting bashed around a lot. Like, even for football, it was crazy. Hard hits, late hits, illegal hits. We would later learn that defensive coach Greg Williams was running a bounty program where players would be incentivized and paid for hurting opposing players. And Fav was the target, Fav had the target on his back that game.
Starting point is 00:44:07 So did they ever get punished for that? But did they? Sean Payton got suspended for a year. I remember him, but Greg Williams got suspended indefinitely. But did the team get punished? They were fined and all that shit. But like you should, you should, this is one of those things that I hate about sports, just all of them. When you do something crazily against the rules, you lose a championship.
Starting point is 00:44:35 You lose a championship. You lose what you. you did. It should be stripped. Not a crazy pitch. Not a crazy pitch. I don't disagree at all. Farve was beaten to shit. Vikings linebacker Ben Lieber
Starting point is 00:44:49 said, quote, I've never seen anyone take that kind of punishment and keep getting up. Most quarterbacks would have been out of the game after those hits. I should have fucking pulled it, but his ankle, like, it was literally like this. It was crazy. But Farv kept playing. He kept playing well, too, but the team kept fumbling
Starting point is 00:45:05 the ball. And in the final Not him? It wasn't, he was having a pretty good game. Okay. Favt kept playing and in the final minutes of the game, with the score tied 28 to 28, Minnesota is in Saints' territory, readying for a field goal at third and 15. So this is right at the end of the game. This is the last drive of the game. Third down and fifth. Arv sprints to his right, throws back across the middle and he's intercepted. Porter. The return by Porter and he's brought down. with seven seconds left.
Starting point is 00:45:57 That was... That was such a bad pass. That is fucking amazing. And that pass... The throw he does is so... First of all, he could have run. Yeah. As one thing, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:11 it's kind of after the game, stuff if you watch, but he broke all the rules. All the rules. He threw it on the run across his body to the middle of the field. Yeah. Which you don't do.
Starting point is 00:46:21 No. But it does just show you. He was like, I can always get away with you. Always get away with shit. So that ended it. That ended his season. He tossed it across his body, middle.
Starting point is 00:46:33 They had the game. The Vikings always lose. It's awesome. I remember that season. I was like, they won't win. Well, I was like, oh, my God. How sad was everyone around you? Furious.
Starting point is 00:46:47 People were like, you should still get it. Why don't you still get it? Because it's so close. They had the game, but Farrf pushed it. With all in the line, he lost. It's again. The Saints won in overtime with a field goal and they were headed to the Super Bowl and not Brett Farf.
Starting point is 00:47:00 And now all the Vikings fans are probably like, he's always going to be a fucking Packer. Yeah, right. Vikings fans hoped, would Farv return? Oh, he also, he set a playoff record for past completions previously held by Joe Montana. Would Farve return for another run next year of the Vikings fans hope so? Of course, he toyed with the team like he did with the Packers fans for so many years, but eventually he announced he would indeed be back. Fart said, quote, after the way last season ended, I owed it to these guys to give it one more shot.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Hell yeah. We have unfinished business, end quote. By the way, here's my dick. By the way, I'll go, there's someone else who'd like to say a little something to y'all. Someone else is back too. Old girthy. A little thicky. Short and girthy.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Tubby. So this next season, he plays with the Viking, was a full bus. They started two and four. Farve was throwing more interceptions and touchdowns. Yeah. The season was not remembered for anything Farve did or even that the Packers beat him twice. Who wants to talk about that? Not me, not you.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Whatever. Now, by this time, Jen Sturger, who was let go from the Jets after one year, found herself working at Deadspin. Then in an off-the-record chat with editor A.J. Derulio, or Delirio, sorry. Adj. She told him all of it. She told him about the messages, the voicemails, the harassment, the pictures of his dick. I mean, saying that to the guys. A Deadspin editor.
Starting point is 00:48:23 I mean, come on. But she told him straight up, she did not want to go public with her story. It's Deadspin. Which is why it's so weird that on October 7th, 2010, Deadspin dropped a full article, walking people through the harassment of Jen Sturger,
Starting point is 00:48:38 complete with photographs and voicemails that they had obtained from, quote, an unknown third party. So look, they hacked her. That's the only opinion you can have is they hacked her. I don't know for sure. But it's definitely heavily insinuated that she was hacked.
Starting point is 00:48:55 But that's been because it happens right after. And she's not being very public with this. She told like one dude on the Jets who she worked with. Well, because it sounds like she has a decent career. So she does not want to be known as the victim. I think it's even more aware than that in the sense that it's like, to your point, those who have drank the Kool-Aid on Farr, Yep.
Starting point is 00:49:23 You don't want that fucking smoke. You do not want that smoke. The Reynolds out there will be coming for you. Oh, but this to me, when this came out, I already was like off of him, not even just for football stuff. This I was, I was fucking horrified. And yet Mr. Magic Crystals, I want two vaccines. You're still on board with him. Comparatively, comparatively, if I got to choose between false.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Marvin Rogers. I'm going to fucking take the witch doctor. He can actually turn on both of them. We'll see if Jordan Love will just be able to be able to go. Till he's like 40 and goes to the Jets. But it was all out there now. The timeline of what he did, what he did to her. And yes, again, his penis was shocking, horrifying.
Starting point is 00:50:12 The public either found this funny or they didn't really care. I mean, we were. That is true. I mean, I didn't. I was like, yeah, that guy's a fucking pig. But most people are like, Whatever. It's like the Louis CK thing. It's worse with her because
Starting point is 00:50:26 Jen was attacked. Threatening messages, getting docs to people online asked her what took so long to come forward, which she hadn't done. A, I didn't. Who the fuck cares if she did? Which, again, see, she didn't. She didn't do this.
Starting point is 00:50:45 And people were like, what took so long? And she didn't do it, but also, if she did wait fucking two years, You can't argue with anybody anymore about anything because people come in and they just have their set thing. Like there's a million, there's also a million excuses with Louis CK. Like, oh, they said, yeah, but everybody can fucking make up a thing and just stick with it. Why did you wait so long shit is such a ridiculous. Oh, it's so dumb.
Starting point is 00:51:16 It's like, you're right. I should have rushed the trauma. I couldn't figure out the trauma fast enough, and you're right. I didn't strategize properly. Well, if you do it right away, they're like, she's trying to fucking give money. Honestly, there's always a million. It is.
Starting point is 00:51:33 There's always five different things to get you in whichever one you do. You just want attention. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, that's all I want my attention. Yeah, no, it's fucking cool. So, Farve was being asked about it as weekly press conference. for instance now, and he seemed upsettingly calm. He would say things like, quote,
Starting point is 00:51:53 that's a league issue that I'm not going to discuss. That's a league issue, dude, you're a fucking married superstar. Okay, it's a league issue. All right, league, it's your issue. And the NFL did indeed open an investigation. And on November 11, 2010, Jen was summoned to meet with NFL officials. She bought pictures, she played the voicemail, she elaborated on the Deadspin articles that had now consumed the sports and
Starting point is 00:52:19 mainstream media. She completely cooperated, even though she didn't want to be involved in this. She told Goodell, quote, you know, no matter what I show you, you're not going to do anything. He got defensive. Are you saying, I can't do anything? I'm like, I'm not saying you can't. I'm saying you won't.
Starting point is 00:52:34 There's a difference. I apologize to him. I'm like, I'm really sorry that I'm not as stupid as you were anticipating. It's like she's talking to the Democratic Party. Yeah. You won't do anything. Yeah. And on December 29th, 2010.
Starting point is 00:52:49 the NFL found, quote, insufficient evidence to prove that Farrb had done anything wrong with the league's personal conduct policy regarding the photographs. But Favre was fined $50,000 for, quote, failing to cooperate with the investigation, end quote. They said Farrv had, quote, not been candid in several respects during the investigation, end quote. He was fined $50,000. Farve was making $16 million that year. Yeah, I mean, there are just... That is the most NFL shit of all.
Starting point is 00:53:19 all time. Well, it's also the NBA. It's also, yes, it's protective. Like, I'm sorry that people want to pretend that Kobe Bryant was awesome, but he fucking paid that woman off. Look. Like, guys, they get away with it. What I love is that he missed, he insufficient evidence to prove that he'd done anything wrong. He was failing to cooperate and he had misled them. Yes. That is, The evidence is overwhelming. The evidence is crazy. And by the way, she handled it like a lawyer and just documented all of it.
Starting point is 00:53:55 I don't really get into this too much. But, you know, anytime he's in trouble, one of the main things he wants to make sure of is that there's not Dick comparison pictures. He doesn't want to do the dick lineup. Wait, can I, can I, can I, let's. Okay. Brett, open challenge.
Starting point is 00:54:15 You and I. Uh-huh. Dick comparison. Let's do this. Dix comparison to what? My dick against your dick. Let's see what's better. Fucking hey.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Let me just... Come on, bro. Let me chub it up. Let me chub it up sideways. Weird. I don't need to chub it up. So what they really could do. This is really what they could do.
Starting point is 00:54:32 First of all, the wristwatch thing, very obvious. The wristwatch thing is closed case. But second of all, she has... There's definitely metadata where you can look through her phone. And then you can also go, all right, Brett, we need to see your dick up against these dick picks. And you can have some fucking cock experts. Like Clinton. Like Bill Clinton.
Starting point is 00:54:48 You can have stuff? Yeah, he's got like a lot. They did it to the president. Why can't they do it to fucking the greatest Viking quarterback of the past 30 years? Don't do that to Dan Fouts. Okay. All right. No, he wasn't.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Who was it? I would have said Fran Targinton. Targinton. That's what I was thinking of. Well done. So. His name is Fran. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:55:10 This is the NFL. They do as little as they can to not affect profits at all. Yes. And they fucking pulled it off again. It wouldn't. To your point. Very political, very much like politics. It's money.
Starting point is 00:55:23 It's all money. It's all protectionism. It's, you know, it's saving the bag for those who love it. Also, let's just say, white guy. White fella. Jan said, quote, I was made to feel like I had done something wrong when I hadn't. Of course. I never asked for my privacy to be violated.
Starting point is 00:55:38 I never asked for any of this. They fucking dragged her into it. And then they're like, you're lying. I never. Because that's calling her a liar. Well, actually, the NFL doing an investigation at the, end of the day was worse, yes, because it raised her profile further in this. Right.
Starting point is 00:55:49 I was made to feel like I had done something wrong when I hadn't. I never asked for my privacy to be violated. I never asked for any of this to happen. But I was the one who paid the price professionally, not the person who actually committed the inappropriate act, end quote. She had never said one word to Brett Farve. I mean, that is just crazy. This, the fucking, she could not, besides his picture, a picture with his face nest to his dick,
Starting point is 00:56:15 she could not have had more overwhelming evidence. To be fair, with the size of his penis, he probably couldn't get both in frame. But, yeah, even Farr's ex-friend sports illustrated writer, Peter King, had to point out the absolute absurdity. Quote, the fine is less than some players have been fine for illegal hits in games this year. That's absurd, end quote.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Now do we, now how do we feel about what the Saints did? I'm glad because of the tattoo. Later that year, I needed the bounty program. to save my calf. Later that year, two Jets massage therapist filed suit against Farrv for being inappropriate in person, envia text. Christine Scavo said Farrv treated her like, quote, a hanging slab of meat, end quote. Their suit claimed he wanted a three-way with them. Quote, read here, you and Chris, you want to get together? I'm all alone, Farrv wrote in a text. Kind of lonely tonight. I guess I have bad intentions.
Starting point is 00:57:12 What is, so they view massage therapists as victims. The NFL guys. They, they've used them. It's a target. They, they think they're allowed to fuck them. Straight up. It's really crazy. These, these women have stuff from other players, too.
Starting point is 00:57:29 They're literally. It is literally just like neck down nude. And these guys send it to them. I mean, we should really, let's take this moment to really, look, talk to the men. Massages are, they're very strange for the male body. tans skin your penis is under a towel of course
Starting point is 00:57:53 and they don't want to give it from a dude because they feel like they'll be gay so then you get it from a woman you have to learn if you're going to walk around with testicles before mass castration at some revolutionary point a massage is not sexual
Starting point is 00:58:09 for the person who's giving it to you it's your penis miscommunicating to your brain and we're going to need you to just get better just like when you quit smoking, you're going to have to change the neuro pathways in your brain to understand now that a massage is not a sexual thing. You go home, you whack off, it's done.
Starting point is 00:58:31 These people are not looking to fuck you. So please, on behalf of the dollop, get a massage, and understand that it's just for your body, not your penis. If they are looking to fuck you, they advertise on escort sites or whatever. They're very obvious about when they're doing that. There are places you can go to. And I mean,
Starting point is 00:58:53 I'm not even saying go to massage places because that seems a little fucking sketchy and endangered servitudey as well. But you can hire people to fuck you. These are separate events. The massage is not a fuck situation. So when you get out of the massage, and again, I have a penis.
Starting point is 00:59:10 So I'm telling you, I know that you're chemically going a little fucking weird and yet, but just fight through it. Yeah, get through it. And remember, it's not about coming. Not everything's about coming.
Starting point is 00:59:25 It's like when you look at a dog and it's sitting there and it's got its red rocket, you're like, what are you doing? I'm eating turkey. It's like, dick, if we can fuck? You're like, no, that's dudes during massages. It's just turkey. And Christa, our lecture to you is going to be completely different.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Chris, we'll see you tonight. Halifax is a city I've always wanted to properly explain. I'm talking about walking the waterfront with a coffee in hand, finding whatever little seafood shack like Evans Fresh Seafoods over in Dartmouth, owned by a local fisherman family doling out, Cadian-style fish and chips. The kind of place the locals actually go to. That's my kind of trip.
Starting point is 01:00:03 Here's where it gets practical, though. The second I start planning a trip like that, I think about my own home, just sitting empty when I'm gone. I could be listing it on Airbnb. Someone gets a real place to stay in, a real part of the city, a charming walkable neighborhood where you can experience the city at a slower pace. Guests can explore the trails and scenic views of our nearby park, catch the glow of the city at sunset from the local observatory, or spend an afternoon wandering historic
Starting point is 01:00:30 avenues, stopping into local shops, cafes, neighborhood favorites along the way, and I end up coming home with a little something extra to show for it. It's pretty hard to argue with. Honestly, once it clicks, it's hard to unclick. Whether it's a few days away or a couple of weeks, your home on Airbnb can help earn you a little extra cash to fund more trips like this. Home might be worth more than you think. Find out how much at Airbnb.ca.com slash host. The dollop is brought to you by Quince. You know those pieces in your closet that you find yourself just wearing repeatedly over and over and over. The sweater, it goes with everything, right? The perfect pair of pants or the tea you somehow just grab first every time.
Starting point is 01:01:13 It's the corduroy jacket, or it's the kind of woolish short sleeve collared shirt. Shut up. Those are the pieces that make getting dressed easy. And that, Gareth Reynolds, is what Quince does best. So I have a little clothing rack in the back of the van. It's Quince. It's all quince because it's the most re-wearable stuff. It looks good.
Starting point is 01:01:38 It's the easiest. It's great quality, but it's not like a stressful wear. I am now just mostly buying Quince. Honestly, that's just what I'm going to every time. It's ethically sourced, reasonably priced. Styles are timeless, they're versatile, designed to become the dependable pieces you reach for day after day. Find your next fall favorites at Quince. Starting point is 01:02:12 slash dollop. So Christine Scavo's husband actually confronted for an apology and he, quote, responded in an inappropriate manner and refused. Both massage... What I want to know what he did? Both massage therapists were terminated after complaining. Shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 01:02:30 I cut it, but there is... Because they're like you're supposed to be an escort. That's what the team is saying. They're like you're fucking going at the fucking dudes. Let me see if I can find it real quick here. What in the fucking... I'm almost starting to think we have a problem with guys. You got to hear this.
Starting point is 01:02:46 This is what... Okay, here it is. So, okay, so Lisa Rippey, who was their boss at the Jets, wrote to one of them in a text message. She was also a defendant in the case that they brought against Favv. She wrote in a text message, their boss wrote to one of them, for sure feel horrible that you had to go through that with a pervert. However, I truly wish you would have...
Starting point is 01:03:12 come forward at the time it happened. I've been up there, I've been up there 13 years without anything that happened to me on TMZ, because it was handled internally the way it should be. Why? That's a woman. So that just shows you again,
Starting point is 01:03:28 power. Well, there, because there's always, power does Trump gender at times too. Because, because, I mean, I know everyone wants to be like all men, but it's like, there's always fucking ladies in this, well, I think you can say, Maxwell is obviously the number one. All men. A lot of women.
Starting point is 01:03:42 of ladies are jumping in there too. Like there's a shitload of women out there, victimizing women also. They're getting in on the fucking mix. Yeah, fuck that. So then, after all this, a Vikings employee came forward saying that Farr was inappropriate with her. Stephanie Duesenberry was an independent contractor who gave treatment to players. Many were inappropriate sending her naked picks and lewd messages.
Starting point is 01:04:02 They really can't handle it. He asked Duesenberry to come to his house when he was alone, followed by, quote, you don't know what it's like to not be touched by a woman in three weeks, end quote. I do. I was crying, she says. I was so disappointed. Her boyfriend, Tim Mears, saw the message and was going to go confront him. She said, quote, you're not going to go beat up Brett Farve, end quote.
Starting point is 01:04:22 Farv kept pushing until she threatened to go to the police. There you go. All right. I guess that's enough. I mean, this fucking dude. That's how you get. That's how you, that's the only know you can with Farb. I would go to the police.
Starting point is 01:04:40 And I do think. that even when she goes to the police? He keeps going. Well, they're just like, what can we do? Yeah, well, of course they're not going to do anything. You know. Anyways, on the field, Favre was physically failing too. Farrve didn't play the final two games of the season,
Starting point is 01:04:54 and it was the first time he missed starts in his NFL career since starting. The Vikings finished 6 and 10, and on January 17th, 2011, he finally did retire, like for real. Farrve had 321 consecutive starts from 1992 to 2010, including 297 regular season games,
Starting point is 01:05:11 the most in league history. He only failed to finish a game due to injury eight times outside of the last season. And it wasn't due to lack of injuries. He had a first degree shoulder separation. Deep thigh bruise. Severely bruised left hip. Severely sprained left ankle. Multiple times
Starting point is 01:05:27 coughing up blood. Sprined right thumb on his throwing hand. Right elbow tendonitis. Left midfoot sprained. Sprained lateral collateral damage on the left knee. You said collateral. Shut up. Left broken, left thumb on his throwing hand. Softball size bruise on his left hamstring. when he called what he called thousands of concussions, sprained right hand, injured ulnar nerve on the right elbow, bone spurs on the left ankle, torn right bicep, pulled groin, stress fracture of the left ankle coupled with an avulsion fracture of calcaneus and a sprained sternoclavular joint of the right shoulder, and even more, including spraining his penis from making it look bigger in New York. I want to know about this
Starting point is 01:06:06 Clit, clitvicular, is that one of us? Clitvicular? No, no, no, no. Then when I got right, it was... Clitoral... Yeah, that's the one. Clitoral contusion? He had a clitoral contusion.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Yeah, right here he had a clitoral contusion. I didn't know that a guy could have that. Well, you got a horseback riding. He's a old boy. He was the first to get to 70,000 yards, 10,000 passes, 6,000 completions, 500 touchdowns, he was also number one in interceptions at 336. Now, despite what happened quite publicly and blatantly with his penis, in 2015, the Packers retired Farr's number on Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:06:46 Quote, it is Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for, Farrs said. And as I think back on our time here in Green Bay, I certainly thank God for the opportunity to play the game I love and play it for a long time and in the best place to play football in the world. And the fans went wrong. He was inducted into the pro-hub... To turkey, by the way. That's right.
Starting point is 01:07:08 He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016. 2016 Hall of Fame speech, quote, you're going to like this one. I think I'm pretty smart, and I think I'm really smart when it comes to football. Some people might not agree, but when it comes to the time, you want to show that side if people say, damn, how did he read that coverage? I say, well, I guess I'm not the dumb retinic. you thought I am. But if you want to just keep thinking that way, that's fine. I'll just keep walking away with the victories, end quote. After retiring, Farrv went back to Mississippi and stopped
Starting point is 01:07:44 doing interviews for the most part. And when he did, it would be like a softball one. The Sturger scandal cost him a lot of endorsements. Endorsements. Endursements, too. He had a clitoral role of contusion. It cost him a lot of endorsements. But what did that matter? He was already rich and shit. Wrangler jeans came back in the mix in 2016. I'm comfortable in jeans that are tough. I'm comfortable in jeans that last. I'm comfortable in Wrangler. Real comfortable.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Rangler 5-star premium denim jeans. Built tough with long-lasting heavyweight denim. Built comfortable with relaxed fit. Satisfaction guaranteed. Real, comfortable. Geez. He fucking... He got back.
Starting point is 01:08:41 I just... I just... Yeah. What? What are you looking up? I was going to look up his net worth. I think I'd get into it at the end.
Starting point is 01:08:49 Okay. But I would like to know what a net worth is now before the end. When he retires football, I don't know. I wonder how much money he made and spent.
Starting point is 01:08:59 He definitely made over a hundred. million at all in. Yeah. Probably about 150 million would be. Yeah. Jen Sturger was less lucky. Jen Sturger, quote, I don't begrudge anyone a second chance.
Starting point is 01:09:10 What bothers me is the way certain behaviors get erased from the narrative. Well, literally. When they don't fit the hero story everyone wants to tell. The lessons never seem to stick. Amanda Rogers, a sports workplace consultant, said, quote, the handling of the Sturger incident reverberated throughout women's experiences and sports for years. I've worked with numerous women who explicitly cited that case as the reason they chose not to report misconduct. They saw what happened to Jen and decided the cost was too high.
Starting point is 01:09:40 It's not just her, though. It's also, right, the Kobe victim, fucking Christian Ronaldo. Like, it goes on and on. This one was just so public. She became... The evidence is over fucking well. And she was a public figure. Yeah. So she was already out there as a personality.
Starting point is 01:09:59 and, you know, it was like, it was a very public, like, this was an out in the open. Here's his dick. Here's the woman he sent it to. Enjoy yourselves, Twitter. But the real problem, as you've just illustrated, is not just that he's this famous guy. It's that they're all sending dick picks to women. Yeah. We all are.
Starting point is 01:10:24 Dr. Ramon Washington, quote, The Sturger incident revealed how institutional forces and sports. are often aligned with fan psychology to protect valuable assets like FARV. The league had financial incentives to minimize the situation. Media personalities were reluctant to condemn a player who drove ratings and fans were predisposed to give their hero the benefit of every doubt. Sarah Thompson, a sports columnist, quote, Jen essentially paid the price that should have been Brett.
Starting point is 01:10:54 She lost career opportunities, faced public humiliation, and had her name for ever linked to a scandal she neither created nor wanted. Meanwhile, Favre lost an insignificant fraction of his income and was quickly reintegrated into the football establishment as a beloved elder statesman. And like I said, Jen Sturger had never spoken one word to Brett Favre, and that's the end of part two. We're having some fun.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Didn't you miss the one? More of a homer? Once again, our sources are not. Jeff Pearlman's book, Gunslinger, because he asked people to not read it.
