I was doing drumio. All right, yeah, who cares? So, yeah, I was doing drumio, and they were like, who are your drumming influence to send us a list. And it was, I mean, a bunch of people. And then one of them was Morgan. So they picked Morgan. I had to do a Seven Dust challenge where I had to mimic certain parts of iconic

drumming moments within Seven Dost songs, which there are so many. So to be fair, I'm actually glad I got Seven Duss. Yeah, I mean, to be fair, like... The easiest shit he's ever played in his life. He's like, Morgan? Oh, I get to do that. Thank you. No.

They were like, yeah, they got to get you the braids. You know what I mean? No, no, I wish. Flip the sticks. Yeah. What were the things? Do you remember? I mean, it was like intro to praise, right?

Or pieces. Diggin it. Oh, no. Home. Home. Yeah. Intro to home. Denial verse.

Yeah. Chorus, I got the freestyle. And then you threw in one, which was the hardest one to be fair. Yeah. That was. Splinter. Yeah. You have the breakdown to Splinter.

So he had to throw me one. But, yeah. So wait, you cried because it was so hard. Not quite. I'm sure not. I mean, to be fair, in that moment, I was just going to be fair to be fair in that moment. through it and then but they had a video of Morgan pop up on the screen in the middle of like right before I got started with the challenge and it was just he just said such nice things

about me and I couldn't believe it I mean it's just one of those things cried on camera I you know I held it in but when I got off I called my fiancee and I was trying to explain to her you know someone who does it did she get it well no I just I just I just started I was like you know when you're like not trying to cry and then you just break free and I just full blown cried my eyes out I was like, it was the coolest. It made me love drums. It was like, in that moment, I was like, this is exactly where I need to be right now,

in a moment of stress, you know, where you're like, do I deserve to be here? Why am I here? No, it was honestly the cutest of the ever. It is. How does that make you feel? I mean, I love him, you know. He's like a baby brother to me, you know?

So I kind of, it's weird. It's like, I didn't realize it, but like, he, him's dad and used to bring him to our shows, you know, back in the day. Yeah. And so we just happened to be in Europe at the same time and we were messaging each,

other I was a huge fan yeah he followed me first I was like wow that's a big one in it when I was like this is fucking crazy man like there's there's a handful of guys out there I mean there's a lot of guys that are just great but then there's like innovation and stuff that I'm just like man where's the head go to come up with that in that place you know and he was at the top of the list for me so I had no idea I was like then it's like oh shit this is the little fellow that used to come to the concerts with his dad. One of the many children of Morgan Rose.

There's like, there's like, you know, the children of Josh Travis. Yeah. I'm like, our generation. And Josh Travis, if you asked him, who his favorite drummer is, it would be Morgan Rose. You know what I mean? Like, it just falls down these generations. So there's many, many of those children out here. It's, you know, I'm on the back nine, you know,

this career for sure. And life, for sure. You know, that fucking ninth hole was way back, you know. It's not like it isn't, you know, it's in the distance, but it's cool because, you know, we were talking about retiring and all this stuff. And then it was like we have a choice. You know, let's either retire or let's just go fucking all in, you know, go really hard and just burn the car. You know, things are going really well for us. Now there are the little resurgence in our style of music, you know, the...

Social meet. I told you last night I dreamt that I had a filling for seven notes because I was up on it on TikTok. And I kept getting the LJ dance, you know, People were like, mimicking, you know, this motherfucker from the seven duch is doing this. But it's like, bro, yes, this shit was iconic, bro. It was so funny, dude. The red pants, no shirt, bro. He's ripped, dude, I was like, I was that motherfucker.

Oh, dude, yeah. The one I remember the most is watching as a kid, it was the Woodstock, which of 99. Yeah, I had the red pants that day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I can see it in my brain right now. I'm going to tell my kids that was Lenny Kravitz. He rocked a leather pants way he better. I love it.

You just DMed Morgan and was like, you want to hang out? I followed him, and then he came back to me. Yeah, to be fair, like,

you know, a lot of people like, in my mind, I was like, why didn't I ever follow Morgan? But it's like,

I happen to me today. I have so much, like, they already have the real estate up here. Like, I didn't really follow along, you know,

and my adult life because I just like, yeah, Morgan's like a part of my DNA. Don't need to follow him to be proven out. I'm like, I support this guy.

That guy's got a love in my heart forever. And then I was looking at their tour and our tour, and we had a day off in Budapest when they were playing Budapest with Alter Bridge and Daughtry. Yeah. And I was like, yeah, I just want to come see the show. And I never expect to hang out with people. I just genuinely wanted to go see the show.

And I rounded up the crew, all the seven dust homies and the abandoned crew. And he's like, yeah, I'll come grab you. And then I was like, on the side. I was like, yeah, you know, I'll probably say hi and, you know, fuck off. And we just sat at the back green room trailer of that fucking. What was that place, Barba Negra? Dude, who was the most fucking. It's into Budapest.

That was some crazy shit. Oh, the fucking. The big compound thing. Yeah. Yeah, it was super weird, you know. It was raining and freezing. He was bringing me down some like, yeah, like, he was like, yeah, we're in the back trailer.

We're the opening bad. He's like, we're just going through the mud. He's probably, he's looking at his homies. He's like, I don't know, man. I know him, but I don't know all, dude. I don't know where we're going. And we just sat in that room and just chopped it up for, I mean, dude, like, time just flew.

It was like three hours, four hours. Yeah, it was awesome. We were just kicking it. We were just kicking. Complete with all kinds of fucking bizarre shit going on. Good stories. Like, we established like, I'm from in New Jersey.

It's a town called Edison. And there's a town called Matuchin, which is called, like, the donut hole. Yeah. It's like, it's just a tiny town right in the middle of Edison. And my dad grew up in Matutcheon, but we were talking about New Jersey. Dude, nobody knows Matuchin. Yeah, and he's like, I grew up in Matushan. I'm like, that's crazy.

That is five minutes from my house where I grew up. Where's, where's dingbats? Clifton. Clifton. Yeah. Is that a small place in Jersey? Oh, yeah. I play dingbats in like.

Dingoes down across the street. 2013. Yeah. With VOD. I filled him with VOD. Oh, wow. Playing New Jersey with VOD was fucking sick. That's awesome.

I mean, I've seen a band in that room with like a sound guy proper and it crushes. You ain't nothing wrong with Dingbath. Yeah. Speaking of filling in, you filled some big fucking boots in your day. I know. When he was telling me stories, I'm like, what the fuck? Molly crew? Yeah.

I try to hide from that one. It's such a cool thing for me, you know? Well, I mean, I fucking shit the bed on that, you know? Oh, God. What happened? Colin, give me the story. I mean, I'll Cliff note it, but it's like, I had just gotten off tour, and I get home, and I mean, I got my one-year-old in my arms, and Tommy Lee's calling, you know,

and I'm, like, trying to multitask, and I'm like, you know, red button. So I'm like, I'll call him back. Comes right back. I'm like, I said, what are you doing? He goes, where are you at? I'm like, I knew right away. I'm like, something's fucked up. You know, wasn't hello, nothing cool.

said I'm at home. He goes, great, man. I need you to come to Cincinnati, like, right now. I was like, dude, I ain't going nowhere, dude. I just got home. He goes, I fuck my hand up. I need you here right now. So my wife at the time, I'm like, Tommy Lee wants me to go play with Motley Curry right now, and she goes, give me the baby. You know, you're going. I'm like, motherfucker, dude. Like, I haven't even gotten the hangover to go away from the tour. Yeah. And anyway, I said Cliff No, but I get on the plane and they're like, we're doing the whole Dr. Fieldgood record. Of course I knew some of those songs, but I'd moved on, you know, into the Mega Death Metallica world, you know, by the time that record came out. So I didn't know, like the song, the Deep Cuts.

Yeah, I don't know the deep cuts. I'm like, well, I'll try to learn that. You know, I'll try to listen that. It goes, yeah, man, just listen to it on the plane. I get on the plane. Computers fucking dead. You know, I'm literally walking through the plane. Anybody got, yo, anybody got Dr. Feelgood on their phone?

You know, I'm like, I'll pay you $100, dude, just to let me have your phone for a little bit. I'm just no offense, men, but like with the hair, with everything, with your whole vibe. Total, total fucking homeless guy, you know, scary homeless guy situation. They're putting her phone in their ass away. I don't even own a phone. So nobody gave me the phone. And I get there. I have no, I still really don't know.

It happens so fast. I don't know what's going on. And I get in a car. And we're on our way. We're in Cincinnati. And I'm like, where's the rehearsal place? And they're like, oh, we're going to the venue. And I'm like, oh, that's cool.

We're going to rehearse at the venue. And they're like, the concerts tonight. It's like six at night. They go on at like nine. And I'm like, I don't know the fucking songs, dude. Like, I'd never even heard them. And they're like, well, I thought you were supposed to listen to him on the plane. I'm like, pewter didn't have any power, dude.

I couldn't power the motherfucker up. I can't even, I can't tell you. I mean, I'm panicking. They run me into a room, give me a pass, you know, smile, you know, like that. You know, run me back to his bus. I'm like putting on clothes. I'm like, are we going to sound check? They're like, dude, there's no sound check.

There's no nothing. Go up on the kit. Sit on my fucking pramanta size fucking, you know, he's fucking 90 feet tall with arms. Upside down. And I'm like, strap of it. I'm like, dude, you know, and he goes, by the way, it's all welded in. So you can adjust a few things, but nothing's really moving. And I'm like, this sounds like a fucking nightmare.

It's a fucking nightmare. It's a fucking nightmare. I hadn't charted anything. thing and I barely could do the shit when I kind of knew how to do it in a million years. So I'm literally cavemanning. You know, let me look at the video and it's like, boom, ka, boom, boom, ca, beetle-esque ending, you know, like I'm just writing any kind of memory notes that I might be able to get it. And then he had a microphone and he sat in this little hole.

And it's like, song would start. He's, you know, tell me when to start. I had a little 57. I said, go. And it'd be like, you know, sticky sweet. And he goes, but da-da-da-da-da-da-da. I'm like, okay, I remember, you know. Tommy's doing this.

Yeah, he's talking in my ear, you know. Oh, but he was there when you were filling in. Like, he didn't even tore. No, no, no, okay. Okay. That's your worst. Oh, it was horrible. How fuck was his hand?

He burned his fucking hair off. Oh, shit. He had to, he did this redneck bomb where it's like you hold a bunch of, you hold a bunch of sparklers and then you like the one of the middle. He just lit the whole thing. You know, you like the one in the middle. You leave it and then it'll kind of blow up. Well, he just lit it.

So it just blew up. It's pretty own brown. Yeah. Perfect. Damn, man. So, yeah, I mean, dude, I had a full-on breakdown. I got through it somehow. And it was really wild, you know, like, Nicky went into the, like, you know, press and was like, you know, Molly Cruz is a five-man band. And Morgan Rose saved the day.

And I played, like, shit. I didn't know the songs. It doesn't sound like you did. But it was a real cool moment. And then, dude, it was like he got kind of cranked out that night, you know, he was drinking. and rightfully so he's probably like this fucking guy I just had him come in and he might fucking wreck the buffet but I got through it and then they put him to bed

I rode with him and I'm just sitting in a place it's full on it's nothing man it's empty just sound of trucks moving stuff and I'm just sitting there and I'm like and I just had a breakdown you know I had no time to freak out and then it just happened and I was like crazy but it was like I mean I

I got humbled very quick. What was you're going to? It was crew fest too, so it was like, I was a long time. We got like 17 years ago. Damn, so there was, you were looking about iPhone ones. Yeah, yeah, man. It wasn't, the technology wasn't. Dude, there was a night that I was playing.

I kind of got a little comfortable, you know. So it was more than one show. Yeah, I did like two weeks. Yeah, you kind of fucked it up that guy. But I mean, it's like, you know, I kind of get a little comfortable. Like, you know, yeah, man, I'm in Motley Crew now. Tell me, bring me a drink. Yeah.

You know, like, I'm in Motley Crew now, right? And for a few days, you know, I kind of started to feel a little more comfortable. Then I'm, like, looking in the front, you know, and I would always kind of put my head down and play. Because, I mean, you're going to see Motley Crew. You're probably going to see him. Yeah. And he ain't playing, you know? And I'm not him.

I mean, he's a fucking icon. So I'm just, like, trying to get through it and not have anybody throw anything at me and we're good. And I see, like, four girls in the front. And I'm like, I could kind of peek underneath something and look. and they're in it and every time I look over they're looking right at me and they're like this they're like you know they're doing the whole still the same multi crew

they're doing the thing you know with the hands you know the 80s thing they're like Tommy got braids he looked good you know whenever he had that hairstyle for a minute that was kind of like that and I'm like they're probably like oh he brought that old hairstyle back and then I see it clear as shit

girl looks and she goes she's like mad at me and she goes that's not his him you saw it i saw the lips and i went fuck couldn't get low enough so i i mean i realized what it was you know it was like it was really cool though you know that's fucking that's a cool story

speaking of what we were talking about earlier when you were like oh when people follow you like childhood people yeah yeah Tommy lee followed me like six months ago and i saw it and i was like that can't be real and then i looked i was like holy shit immediately dammed him like come on the podcast and he didn't reply he's great man he's yeah there's like uh there's a page uh My only Tommy Lee, Van Diagram, you know, where I was in his mind, I guess. So it's like that, like, nature page that posts, like, heavy bands. Oh, yeah, yeah.

You know what I'm talking about? There's a mountain. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. He, like, reposted one that had the Lorna, like, Hellfire track on it when it was blowing up. And I was like, oh, that's dope. He's still into, like, what's happening with new bands. I guess he's going to post architects a bunch of times. And I love that.

Like, even when we talk with Morgan about, like, new drummers and, like, he's just like, I was watching fucking YouTube videos watching homies totally I just watched that pale face guy the new guy oh Luigi yeah yeah he's great coin fucking child how'd you feel about that it makes me no I'm stuff like that I'm just happy for him

I genuinely but like I have one podcast guest and it wasn't even I wasn't happy for him because I love him to death but Tosh you know Tosh yeah yeah Lady Gaga now Alkaline trio The Man so when he came on the podcast he was like 23 yeah and he's reeling off the list of things that you done. Oh, it's insane. And he's only, he's done that his whole life, like his whole, like, like this kid will be. Yeah. And I was just like after the, the episode was great, love him.

And afterwards I was like, I'm a failure. It was insane because it was just like, I remember the first time I saw him too. I was just like, yeah. What the fuck is going on here? He's the goat. He's, we were just in Australia earlier this year and Tosh, and he's just the man. Like, he's just the, like, Yeah, he's the best. He's like, dude, I'm in Melbourne. I'm like, me too. And I'm like, he's like, yeah, let's go meet up. So he came to the show.

It was like, supposed to be him and Pridgen and everyone, like, coming through, brought the whole crew. He's like, yeah, like, Lady Gaga's husband's a huge fan. Like, he might come. Pridgin. Yeah, Pridgin was there because he was playing with, um, uh, fever. Fever, yeah, yeah. At the same fest for Christmas Fest, yeah.

But everyone was like super jetlight. Like, Tosh landed that morning and still came to the show, still was out all night, going at it. He rages as well. I love to see it. That's the one thing I love to see these young drummers when they're raging

and I'm like, awesome. That's what I've done. You've been to the cherry bar in Melbourne? Yeah. I met him at a cherry bar and then he was just like, I was like, he had about 10 minutes left at him.

He was joking. I can't remember who he played for. He was playing for that Jaden guy, I think. And he was, he was talking about how, he was like, I'm unfierable. And I said, what do you mean? Because he was like drinking cranberry

in vodka before. Oh, dear. And I was like, you're not going to get fired? He's like, I'm unfirable. And then on stage, she's like fucking around. So I was like, oh, I want to go to Steve Irwin Zoo, you know, do all the shit, whatever. You got to take, like, a bus and whatever. So he's like, yeah, I got you in the show.

I'm like, yeah, what time you on? Like, you know, probably, like, 90s. Like, oh, right, like, like, 730. You know, I'm like, oh, okay. For four hours. So I should probably hurry back. So the trains were all delayed. And I remember him hitting me up and he's like, yo, like, I got to get dressed soon.

You know, I'm not going to be. He just gave me, like, a working wristband. There was no ticket. There was no nothing. He's like, I have to personally give this to you. You have to walk through his back door. Say I sent you. And, dude, he's like, dude, I got five minutes.

And I, like, saw a trade stop. I just got out of the trade. I told my fiance, yo, just, like, walk towards the arena. But I'm running. So I sprint. That's where that weight loss came from. Dude, that one, I'm not even kidding. Like, I ran as fast as I could, like, up and down hills.

And I, like, I finally got the ticket from him. And I was like, I might die right now. Yeah, yeah. If you are looking for one festival to hit in 2026, make it louder than life. I went last year and I've got to say it's probably one of, if not the best rock and metal festival I've ever been to. That was like... It's not back on me? Yeah, they're back. We're doing the show in Jersey with them. Shit. Yeah. I got to go. That snort record is so good.

I saw a video and they sounded great. It's great. The singers got it. You know, he can do it. Yeah, it sounds like... And they've had a few shots at it, you know? A few different guys have come in there. And then you don't really know.

So we got out of the deal on a technicality, and it, this is where it was like, man, Seven Dust is like a fucking black cloud, you know, but then you're like, but we've had a

you know, stayed at least semi-relevant through a lot of, you know, craziness that goes on and and found our way back to a time where it's accepted again. But I noticed when we signed a deal with somebody out of that deal and we had sold the least amount of records of our career the first week. I don't remember what the number was, but I knew, and the chart position was pretty low for us, you know, first week, it was like 17 or 18 or something. And I'm like, damn, man, you know, like it's over and then they sent me a royalty check and it was like a hundred and something thousand dollars and i'm like dude i just sold the least amount of records i were sold in my life and i just got a check like i've never gotten one where's that and then within two years no more and within two years there

was no more physical you know it was just it happened it happened quick you know it was like apple music and spotify was something that i mean i don't even remember the year but i just remember that album sales were starting to go down. Napster was the beginning. Yeah, I remember that. Lars, baby. He was at the helm. He was trying.

He got so much shit for it. He was trying, man. I remember bands that were like, you know, you got enough money, motherfucker. And I'm like, now, now what are you saying? Yeah, you know? Fucked up. So, yeah, I saw it.

I saw it on the good side, you know, where it was like, oh, we barely sold new records. And we made some money. I'm like, damn, man, I'm fucking rich. Those first records where you were like, you sold this many, didn't see any money, and then the one where you sold the least, you did see money,

is that because sketchy first label? Oh, yeah. Like, real sketchy. Yeah. It fucking happened back then. We did all kinds of things. Yeah, I mean, it's like now, I mean, I don't even know what the fuck is going on out there, you know,

because, you know, I mean, we made all the wrong decisions, all the wrong ones. I mean, it was like we hired a guy to manage us that had fucking no idea what he was doing at all, but he was a promoter. So we felt like You know, we're just gonna go Where do we make our money? We actually were making our money We're like we make it on the road

We make it tickets and fucking cloth So we're like okay He goes, I can do this shit We're gonna rent out all the rooms We're gonna bet on ourselves I'm like I don't give a fuck what we do I just need to pay the fucking mortgage So dude this guy comes in and he's like

He had no idea what he was doing On managerial side but he knew how to promote So we would go in and we would buy the radio ads, we would rent out the venues, so we just basically cut Live Nation and everything out of the mix which of course is trying to

kill your band. But we were like getting, you know, we're like, oh shit, I remember walking in a dressing room one night and it was hefty bags and they're dumping tens of thousands of dollars on the floor and I'm to hammer drunk and I'm like, oh, we're fucking going, baby. You know, meanwhile, he's like,

yeah, man, keep on drinking and you got some of that shit to do some of that too. you're at it because we're just counting this up taking it to the house which they did so we got robbed on that then we got somebody else you know and it was kind of like well this band is just burned themselves into the ground so we'll just

collect it will take our you know 10 to 20 percent whatever that deal was and we'll just let them go out and keep them out on the road because we know they got to be out there because they can't pay the bills without it so just burn them to the fucking ground and then we went to somebody else that didn't know what the fuck they were doing

but you know we got out of our record we thought we'd never get out. So we hired the guy that knew nothing about managing because we thought we're stuck here in this deal. And then we hired a lawyer and they just had not picked up the option. The worst thing, and please, I never give advice to anybody, but if you happen to be stuck in a deal, make sure the label is giving you written options.

Yeah. Because our lawyer looked at it and he turns the first page, he goes, so when did you guys sign the option? And we're looking at each other. I'm like, I've never signed one. so we're four records done and he goes wait a minute

you've never signed an option I was like I've never signed one he's like you guys could have been out of the deal after your first record can you while you're on this good advice explain what an option is well the label has X amount of time from you know the end of the cycle

to pick up that's why you know when we were kids and it probably happened even when you were younger it was like yeah man I signed a nine record deal it's like that's not good that's not good bro you know like we signed like a seven album and even on the uh the younger side it's like i remember you get the option the i feel like every first conversation is oh so if we had we have the option

it's like oh it's not it's not you it's if we're not happy yeah they're not happy then they're just totally and then you're a write-off band you know we see it all the all time it's the long john silvers for their kFC it's just tax it's just it's lost baby yeah it's it happens a lot as well Especially when it's like, okay, so there's two albums plus three options. And we're going to give you fucking shit loads of money on the first album. And then it's like, you didn't make that money back. You can just rot here now. No, it's tough too.

I think we were talking about it the other day because, like, obviously, Lauren's been so active. We've been doing so much. And we're like... You were getting tired. Well, yeah, getting off of, like, you know, just like touring and label money and things like that. Like, all that world, I feel like we've just been noticing.

It's just like, yeah, like, we don't make... Like, no band, not just Lauren Short, makes much money sitting at home. You have the tour. So with that, I'm like, there's so many tours going on at all times,

and we're all competing with each other, and it sucks. And even if you're, like, trying to team up, like nowadays, when I'm noticing it's like, oh, yeah, you want to lock in this band. For next year,

all they're already. And it's like, dude, like you can't even like just come up with a good idea out of nowhere and say, oh, man, this package would crush.

Oh, no, yeah, we're booked for the next two years. And then, and then you're just like, you know, doing what you can with your options

and stuff like that, but I just think it's like, it's just kind of like disheartening to be like the only way any younger band will make money is to go on tour constantly. Forever. Yeah, forever. And then you run a risk of like people getting fatigued at your band. No, you get hurt. Like me.

Nine months out of the year. Me and more, we talk about back problems all time. Yeah. No, I meant like listener fatigue. Oh, I'm talking physical. Yeah. We'll get into that. But like, listener fatigue.

Like, if you're on tour nine months out of the year and you do fucking. three US tours and two Euro tours. It gets to a point where eventually everyone's like, I'll see him next time. That was serving does to a T. Is he to stay home, make no money, go on tour and slowly make people not want to see you.

Or start a side hustle that might end up being the main hustle. And then all of a sudden you're not playing music no more, you know? That's what I did. And, you know, it's like, I mean, me and Moog talk about the whole time. I'm like, man, let's go, let's get a normal job or something. Like, when we're home or something, Yeah. I think about it.

I'm like, dude, we're going to be out of here soon. I want to meet as many people that are really down that I can. I was like one of their few UK tours. It was like a small like 200 cap rooms. Fuck it's so sick. So they flew in. Guy lost his pedals. I think it was Hans Grossman at the time. Lost his pedals. Used my iron cobras.

Last minute, straight out of the box. Rip. Fucking destroy it. And that whole time. I was like, I got to figure out the perfect beater angle. I got to figure out the perfect spring and all this shit. And then this guy comes on and just fucking rips. And I'm like, oh, no, it's me.

It's a problem is me. It is the drum version of cucking. Like, it is like watching someone begging. Right in front of you. Dude, when we did a tour, it was like, you know, we were like the US band amongst, it was actually a great lineup. It would have done great now. It didn't do great back then,

but it was D-Asside and Tombed A-D. Haiti Turnal. Bro. Black Crown Initiative, Lorna Shore, Svartre Crown, which was like a band from France.

But that was the tour. The tour got canceled halfway through. No one was buying tickets. It was a complete... I would have been mail. Our first record was coming out

on that tour. Tour ended. D.S.I.S. sent everyone home we're going to do a headliner. Black Crown Initiative gave us $100 out of their own money to keep us on the tour.

Because they're like, we're not giving them to North Shore any money. They can go to fuck home right now. And I'm like, yo, we're in Seattle. Our record's coming out three days.

So they didn't say a damn word to us, you know? But like, Atomb, they were the homies, like, nicest dudes. And they were like, yeah, and Tum could go the fuck home too. And Tum was like, fine, you know? Wait, so it's D.Di Tried to fucking boot. It was a metal alliance tour when that was the thing. It was like a branded tour. And the brand pulled down, and Deosai was like, well, we're still going on tour.

We're going to do our thing. Yeah. But Spart Crown, the drummer was this dude, Kevin Perides. You know that guy? Oh, yeah. Yeah, exactly. He does the fucking gravity blast off a sim. He has a symbol stand?

I don't know. Here's his ride. He puts an empty symbol stand there so he can gravity blast off the stand. And the ride goes... Yeah. No, and he plays in like full-blown, like, cowboy boots. Like, he's playing in some, like, just some loafers, bro.

And he gets on my kid. That's two very different shoes. Yeah. He pays a cowboy boots. Something with a hard soul you'd wear to a wedding. They might even be some Chelsea's. They might be some Chelsea's. Brokes.

And then I went home and the girl that I was with saw, you know, me sign that thing and said, you should put that on a T-shirt.

and I'm like, who would buy that shit? And then we put it on a t-shirt and it happened. Silled a bunch. Vader came in and said, you know, we want to do a stick. And I was like, they said, you have to call it something. And I said, alien stick. And it makes sense. And they were like, no, man, it's like, you know, something like, you're a freak up there, you know.

And I was like, alien stick. I just kept saying that. And they're like, okay, you know, we heard you the first time, you know, but maybe maybe something else. I'm like alien, alien fuck stick. I mean, I was probably fucking nine or ten. You know what I mean? Crazy. But I just remember seeing Morgan getting, like, his calves massage in the back, and, like, he was, you know, red... And, like, dad's like, I'm just, like, a kid, you know? I'm like, that's, like, you know, that's super man to me. So then you fast forward, you know, when we met, it's like a lot of people, like,

not that I, like, put up a front. It's just like, I don't know how to act. I don't know what, you got to take the temperature, like, you know, what jokes are cool? What could we talk about? I mean, I practiced. I barely practice. I was the same when they came to school, the only reason I play drums is they came to my, I guess you, what's before high school in the US, what do you call it? Middle. Okay, so when I was in middle school, primary school in the UK,

they came to the thing and they were like, and I was just like a little fucking nerd. Yeah. And they came, the guy from the high school, came and was like, hey, if you want to do drum lessons, we're doing them at the high school, like, you get taken out of fucking maths or whatever

and you go do a drum lesson. And in my head at that time, I was like, that'll make me cool and get girls. I'm going to do that. And then I fell in love with it, but the whole thing was just like, that seems cool. I'm going to do that. I mean, yeah, when he was telling me his story of how he learned to play drums,

he was like, yeah, I want to be a baseball player. I never wanted to play drums. What? Yeah. Practicing baseball instead. I like doing that. I like practicing baseball. How did baseball go to the drums other than the fucking drumsticks?

Oh, yeah. You played some baseball wads. Dad got me into both, you know, when I was young. And so it was funer, more fun to play baseball for me. I mean, I was really, the drums are like a toy, you know. Five, six years old. I'm like, you know, this is cool. I can take this apart and put it back together.

So I'm freaking out. I'm just like, ah. And I'm just like listening. And I'm trying to yell to the fucking house sound guy to put, like, guitar in my monitor.

And he's just got chips and hum his legs off just fucking looking around. And I'm like, I swear, I'll never forget it. He's just, I'm like, yo, I'm screaming at it. And then I'm like, I'm screaming at Moke. I'm screaming at Adam. They think I'm just amping him up. I'm like, yeah, I'm like, no. So get through the song or whatever.

Like I get some guitar. My monitor guy finally taps in and gives you some guitar and I'm like, all right, whatever. But then we get to the breakdown part and there's like huge gap. Yeah, huge gap. And I'm like, look at Adam's looking at me and we're just like. That's the gap as well in your set. And I'm like, every phone down. I'm like, oh my God.

And I don't got click, I don't got nothing, and he's just looking at me. I don't even know what number he's on, but somehow we just came in. And then there's another gap. There's two big gaps. They're like 16 counts. That is not fucking simple shit going back into. We hit both of them, and then they turn my shit back on. I was like, bro.
