We've got to get flights and all that stuff to get here. If you want to support the podcast, that is the number one way. If you just want to look good, you could go to www.the-downbby.org.org. Starting point is 00:02:41 All right. Thank fuck it's you guys. Thank fuck it's you guys. I'm tired. No one knows if I say that I'm tired from talking to people. You look good though, Craig. Thanks. It's good.
Starting point is 00:02:52 39. Change my hair. It was on the day, wasn't it? I was like, got to grow up. We've got to stop dying this fucking thing. Is that your natural blonde? The blitzes. Natural.
Starting point is 00:03:07 You think the platyous. And I thought you were a blonde though. No. What is it, mouse, mouse, mouse. Mousy. Mousy. Mousy. Mousy. How are you doing it?
Starting point is 00:03:17 Not bad, mate. Still a bit sweaty. I don't know why I'm wearing this. I just wanted to look cool. But yeah, it was, we played a cool show. We are just kind of winding down still. Yeah. A couple glasses of tequilaeals.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Do you want to smash one now? Yeah, go on. I was going to send me down the round. For the record, I've eaten nothing today. It's 5pm. All right. I've had a white monster. Cheers.
Starting point is 00:03:42 And now this. Cheers. You still have ice in yours. Oh, did I? No, you know, deep throat it.
Starting point is 00:03:47 I mean, this doesn't matter. Open that. I just do it. I just filter it out. Oh my God, I'm scared. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Ah, that was quite nice. Delicious. Good. That was delightful. Damn, I didn't even know the trace of. How was your set?
Starting point is 00:04:00 I was holed up in here talking to people. Yeah, it was good. It was like, kind of just the temperature just seemed to go up about 40. degrees when we started playing. But other than that, it was all right, wouldn't it?
Starting point is 00:04:13 That was sick. I loved it. Yeah. It was really fun. Nice half hour set. Because we've been doing headlines in between these festivals. So, yeah, to go from like an hour to half an hour is absolutely bliss. It feels like someone just took like a fucking barbell off your back.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Yeah. Like being able to go nuts for 30 minutes. Great. But click feels about 50 a year and slower. Yeah. The adrenaline. The adrenaline at the festival. I was especially bad.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I could not pull myself back. That's me at every show. Yeah. That's why I don't do it anymore. But especially, for me, it's weirdly, I've noticed it's the height of the ceiling of the venue. Interesting. Will make everything seem slower. Like, I don't know if it's the adrenaline or it's like some sort of.
Starting point is 00:05:02 So you mean the high of the ceiling, the slower the BPM? The BPM feel slower. Yeah. And obviously at a festival, in the festival. infinite ceiling Yeah Yeah Infinite ceiling
Starting point is 00:05:12 What stage We had novelist Sanctuary stage We had novelists Awful Wolf Novelist here Amity Amity on that stage
Starting point is 00:05:20 Amity August burns red Goets inside Yeah Fucking bangor of a stage Today's the best day Yeah No offense
Starting point is 00:05:26 Got it Bring me We're absolutely We got some bangers today Have you seen Bring Me on this Current production No
Starting point is 00:05:33 No It's the best thing I've ever seen It looks similar to when we did that like the kind of church vibe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:40 It's fucking sick. Did you do, you did bring me shows? We did, yeah, in Oz. Yeah, it was, dude, it was bring me sleep token of support. Good Lord. Yeah. And then make them suffer. Yeah, made them suffer.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. And then Dane. Two or four. Who's had Olly on a track. So a girl called Dane. And we did four shows in Australia. Great. I mean.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Headed over to do. Is that when we came to Australia? It might have been the year after, actually. just after we finish with you. You came to, yeah, you came to a stray show. That might, it might have been the same run. Didn't we do Amity, didn't we do, sorry, bring me that we did error, then we came over and did stray?
Starting point is 00:06:20 Oh, dear. You did. I remember you guys, you were very tired. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure that's when we ended up doing. That was a good tour though. It was fun on it. That was a fucking great time.
Starting point is 00:06:29 You were supposed to do the podcast. No, we weren't. This is a different tour. No, no, I mean like another time. Oh, we're going on you. I mean, you're going on you. You've, wait. You've been waiting for this moment.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Let's go. No one's getting thrown under the bus. No one's getting thrown under the podcast. We were meant to do the podcast. You were meant to do the podcast. Yeah. And I remember thinking at the time when I was told by your manager, who we won't say who he is. And Josh.
Starting point is 00:06:52 It's saying, Josh from Northling. He was like, yeah, they're flying in that day and they'll do the podcast before the first show. And in my head, I was like, that's crazy. Yeah. But I set it up. I need you to know. I know. I set it up like a Christmas.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Oh. I've never done an episode. with a full band, right? When you took the picture of the room and then we saw it afterwards, I was like, oh shit. I said it up. I said it up. You were really mad, Greg.
Starting point is 00:07:17 No, it is the thing. I wasn't as mad as some people got thinking that I was mad. So I was, yeah, maybe I was mad. Anyway, I decorated my whole house for you. It was not a single Christmas celebration up. I know,
Starting point is 00:07:32 and I feel guilty. What I wish was that somebody had the forethought to think my band, might be a little bit tired from flying their things. Anyway, all the Christmas decorations, never done an episode with five, because I think I was going to have all of you. Yes. And I had to set up two of the broadcast approach,
Starting point is 00:07:50 which I'd never done before, and link from a USB figure all that out. Christmas tree. So this was like a brand new thing. New production. And then you guys cancelled. And I think I posted that you cancelled. And yes, some people got very mad.
Starting point is 00:08:05 But I wasn't actually. actually that mad. And then I forgot about it because I always like, I feel like I fake beef people all the time. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:16 And then I bumped into you at the last Australia, Australian tour. And I was like, are we cool? You're like, yeah, because I forgot all about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:23 It's all right the fuck now. Who cares, you know. Is what it is, mate. Yeah. Yeah. So now you're here. We're here.
Starting point is 00:08:27 We're finally here. And I am desperate to do a full band one because you have one of, if not, if not, my favorite band dynamic. people to fucking hang out with. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:40 We're pretty crazy. There's some fucking nutcases in this band. Who rate no explanation, no further explanation required. Just rate psychotic down to normal. Psychotic to normal. Yeah, we know who number one is. Yeah, Jaya's number one. And no explanation.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Just rate them. What is, is your fucking podcast? Yeah, I think we turn this around. What are we doing? Psychotic can mean many things. But that's the fun part about not explaining furrowing. I go Jaya, you. And I'll explain if you want me to explain.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Thank you. It's an honour. You're the only two that I like psycho. Yeah, I would say that. I think it's you too and then everyone else. And Jaya is psycho because he's like mentally deranged. Yeah. In a good way.
Starting point is 00:09:22 And you're psycho because you do all the fucking like, I think I want to be a Marine. Or whatever that's true. That's true. That's true. I'm doing fucking high rocks. I'm doing two fucking 10Ks in a row. Fair.
Starting point is 00:09:34 It's a thing about moving to Bali as well. Yes. I haven't told any friends or family, but here we go. Sorry, guys. Is it genuine? No, a thousand percent genuine. How far is Bali from Australia? For me, it's three hours.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Oh, my God. So it's fuck all. Like, I can just go over there whenever I want, really. Three hours from bliss. Because you know what I do is start training for martial arts. Is that what you're doing now? Every time I see this motherfucker. What do you mean what's the reason?
Starting point is 00:10:00 No, I won't say the reason. It's pretty fucking cool. No, no, no, no, I can't say it. Anyway, don't say it. Anyway, so. You've got a reason to train for martial arts. Is it a fight? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Well, that's that then. There you go. Okay. So Bali's got good martial arts? Yeah. It's a bit going on. Yeah. There's heaps of, like, boxing clubs.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Yeah, heaps. You got a fucking fight going in. Well, it started as a joke. It started as a joke. Yeah. It started as a joke. We're going to turn it into reality. So it's all going.
Starting point is 00:10:31 But you might actually legitimately move to Bali. Yeah. No, 1,000 percent, yes. been once and it was the luckiest you know when you like you're on tour and the show cancels and it's like this show like back in the day when you're paying for everything yourself and you're booking everything yourself and something cancels and it's like well this is fuck this and it's fucked the next two days because we can't get the money to do whatever I was on tour in southeast Asia and we're supposed to have a show in Bali and we got there
Starting point is 00:10:58 promoter didn't turn up to pick us up didn't do anything and then it was like well that promoter was supposed to be paying for our next flight so we're got there, he didn't turn up. I had a mutual friend from architects who owns, like, works for Macbeth. Oh, the shoes. This is a long time ago. Holy five. 39.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Bali, Macbeth, how are these going head and hand? Apparently, Macbeth, part of their thing is stationed in Bali. Weirdly enough, I think clocks and colours are also in Bali, I think. Interesting. Ethically, we hope. But like, and this guy just came and looked after us. And we were like, okay, well, this is your cheapest flight out of here to get to your next show. You'd have to cancel these four shows.
Starting point is 00:11:42 You could go to Singapore in five days for this much money. And we were like, oh, I guess we're having five days off in Bali. That's fucking amazing. It's the best, man. Do you know whereabouts you were? We were like Dickhead Central. Cooa Beach. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Oh, yeah. Yes. It's fucking awesome there. I think, like, we were thinking about Changu, which is kind of like the new Cuda. And it's just influence it. Dude, you walk around and it's like this. You call the... You can't fucking get away from a camera.
Starting point is 00:12:10 You go to a gym, cameras. Amazing. Like, oh, it's just fucked. We nearly, I mean, I nearly got arrested in Bali. I need to know. Well, like, mushrooms are legal there, aren't they? It's very weird. They were.
Starting point is 00:12:22 They were. I think that's gone now. Because you could get the shakes. Get the mushy shakes. And you get like, you know, they'll be like, yeah, you can have half and then have another half. And you're like, sweet, you have the half. Nothing happens.
Starting point is 00:12:33 You have the other half. And you're dead. You fucking absolutely lose your mind. But yeah, I remember getting there, and everyone's trying to sell mushrooms, and I was like, this can't be right. And I googled it. Was Google around back there? I think it was.
Starting point is 00:12:46 I asked Jeeves. And it was like, yeah, mushrooms are legal in barley, but nothing else is, weirdly. And to be honest, probably quite accurate, like the plant should be legal. So then bought some of those. I had a bit of a time, as you do. Another guy comes up. same guy at Solmoney mushrooms and he was like
Starting point is 00:13:07 anything else? Oh no. And I was like, yeah, it could. Yeah. And apparently what happens when you do that is they then go and just go and get the police. No.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Yeah. And I managed to talk my way out. So they tried to sit you off. Yeah. It was back in the day, this is all the joke, it didn't happen. Yeah. And I was like, no, I was trying to buy the mushrooms, blah, blah, blah. End up, just paid him like a hundred bucks.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Yeah, that's all you got to do. That's so darn. It's bloody lovely. I went to the monkey place where they steal your hat and all that shit. We are coming to visit if you guys go to Bali. Oh, fuck it, dude. We'll go to monkey forest. Get our shit stolen.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Three hours from Australia, Bali. Yeah, from Perth. From Alex, probably six hours. Where are you? Melbourne, yeah. The city in the world. I've got to get culture. It is, it is, but like, oh, I'm sick of it.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I'm sick of it. You're never happy with anything. derogatory. You're like, you do No, I'm restless. I'm restless. Yeah. I'm a very restless person.
Starting point is 00:14:09 What's the story? Because every time I see you, you're like, last time I saw you said, I'm joining the Marines. That was true. And I tried. And I honestly tried to join the army reserves in Australia. But they were to be an infantry soldier. You wanted to be a soldier?
Starting point is 00:14:24 In the reserves, though. So it's like the backup army. It's the fake army. It's real. In case someone starts at war with Australia. Yes. And then the no one's, they actually,
Starting point is 00:14:33 the weirdest. is that they, I went through the process. I did all these interviews and stuff like that. And then I got to a part where I had to do like a psych evaluation and then the final interview. Yeah, I didn't pass it. And I'm kidding. I'm tapped. No.
Starting point is 00:14:46 They said, oh, we have to put you on hold because we're overfilled. Too many people want to be in the Army reserves. So hold up. So then six months pass, big dog in this country decided to. The big dog. The big dog did his thing. And all of a sudden I'm getting phone calls going, hey, so we're ready to process you?
Starting point is 00:15:08 And I was like, no, I'm out. Oh, you. You did. I bailed. I bailed. Because basically, when I did the interview, they said, if World War III breaks out, you will be called to the military. And I'm bound by military law.
Starting point is 00:15:21 It didn't seem feasible at the time. And then everything happened. I was like, I would literally get called to. Yeah. So you wanted everything except the war from the army. You wanted the training. You wanted the training. You wanted.
Starting point is 00:15:34 No, I actually make you sound like, I wanted, I wanted the mental challenge, I wanted the physical challenge, I wanted the skills, because it just sounds like an awesome thing to do. How did they get you? One of those adverts?
Starting point is 00:15:47 Did they get you one of those fucking adverts? It's like you. No, like one of the adverts and it's like a random person and their dad phones them and they go, hey dad, and it's like, can you fix the car? And then they go and fix their dad's car and there's a big smile and then it goes, I learned this at the army.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Like those fucking dance. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nah. Now, as you said, it's not that I'm not happy. I'm restless. So I've always got ideas. And there's always things I want to do. Like, I really respect martial arts.
Starting point is 00:16:17 I really respect military, Marines, putting yourself in a really fucked situation. So I'm striving to. To kill. But I don't want to kill anyone. You don't want to kill. I don't. Which, unfortunately, is what the army is for. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Yeah. So instead, tough mother. Yeah. Yeah. No. In fact, you answered yes. I didn't even know that. Did you do a tough mother?
Starting point is 00:16:38 No, but I do one. Absolutely guessed that. You can get a team together. I'm not doing it. You tried to do this on tour. You'd come to the gym on tour. She would be like, she and pointing, cancelled. She, this fucking woman would be like, oh, let's do 10 rounds of fucking burpee fucking bullshit.
Starting point is 00:16:58 And I just go, nope. Yeah, I'd go back to the squat rack. Fucking CrossFit over here. I respect it, though. So we didn't finish the psycho scale. Just me and Jaya. And then that's it. What about Nick?
Starting point is 00:17:09 Have you met, Nick? Have you met, Nick? Yeah. I mean, Nick, Nick, what did Nick break on that last door? Didn't he have a broken? Yeah, he's done a couple of those. He's done a couple of those. He did it on the last tour as well.
Starting point is 00:17:20 He broke his fucking ankle or some shit. Didn't he break his ankle on our tour and then break it again? I can't remember. Yeah. Pretty much every tour. Yeah. Is that Josh from Spirit Box? I can't remember.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I'm not sure. Either way, he's got fucked any calls. Like, they're just done. back out and he was on crutches and in a wheelchair for Good Things Festival a couple years back. He did his ankle motionless, but he did, he did something else. Oh, the last one was he was like jumping or something and he landed on a cable and just fucking ate shit. But that's not like psycho. That's just psycho bad luck.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Yeah. I still go, Gia, you. Maybe Nick. Yeah. Jay man. Sean. No comment. Fuck, that's insane.
Starting point is 00:18:00 No comment. Why is there no comment? At least crazy. Okay, this is the order. Oh, the real. I'm a saint. No explanation. No further explanation.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Jaya. It's number one. Nick, Sean, me, J-Man. Yeah, that checks out. Is that right? It's just the intensity of the mind. It's the intensity of the mind. It's anyone who tours with us would know.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Second last. I'm actually not that crazy. I'm just energetic. I'll agree with that list. You don't agree with mine? No. Is that because you're on bottom? You take pride in not being born.
Starting point is 00:18:33 I'm sure there was a good. I'm sure you got quite lairy after drinking. Did I? Did I drink on that one? I can't remember. I get a bit like after a couple of bowls of fucking loudmouth soup, I'll give it some. Yeah. But like, for the most part, I think like, yeah, I don't mean, I barely drink on tour anymore.
Starting point is 00:18:53 But if I do, it's, I'm drinking. Yeah. That's me. I've got another fucking off. No, it's fucked. No. It's fucked. I've done two days at this festival.
Starting point is 00:19:03 We've done two out of the four. First two days, didn't drink at all. And that's unlike me. Yeah. I did Rockville last week. I was drunk the whole thing. Yeah, we didn't even see you. I was doing these, but then I was also just fucking drinking.
Starting point is 00:19:17 And then first night, just like as of, just on my own. No, the first night here, we had, God, I've fucked up so bad. Park the car. Come here. do the full fucking day. For some reason in the back of my head, I'm like, I'm not drinking
Starting point is 00:19:34 because one of those guys is going to have to drive the car. Those guys that's being massive. We'd have to drive the car. We don't know how bad traffic's going to be. I don't want to put them in that or whatever. There was a weird thing in my head. I was like, I'm just not going to drink.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Get back to the car. I've left the engine on for 12 weeks. Fuck off. That's sick. It says 55 miles left on the tank. No, no, that's fine because we're fucking two miles down the road. start driving and this like fucking squid game
Starting point is 00:20:04 it was going 55, 54 53, 52 like because the car hasn't been calculating yeah it's just because the AC was on I was like fucking crashing out like really let myself go crashing out so what the fuck are we going to do because in my head
Starting point is 00:20:20 they've recently done a news article on the fact that my house got fucking destroyed oh fucking saw that saga what the fuck was that it happened six months ago and it was like a tree fell on our house house, right? And it was fucking shit. I actually didn't not know that.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yeah, because I didn't fucking post about it. I posted about it a little bit at the time. And then Landlord didn't, this is boring as fuck. Landlord didn't sort it out. And then I made a vlog. And in the vlog, I like mentioned it. And it happened six months ago. I mentioned it because, like, I'm out of it.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Now everything's fucking fine. And I'm not going to be like, money, please. Yeah. And then they run these news articles on it. Is it like Lamb goat or something? All of them. It must have. Someone made a press release because it went to all of them.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Or what they do is. one of them posts it and they go, we've got to get on top of this. This is big news. Oh, my fuck. So all I could think is MCR day, we're leaving a single file festival headliner traffic.
Starting point is 00:21:12 I'm driving. If I break down right now with no gas, not only is everyone behind me not going to get out of the festival, an entire festival, because we're parked in fucking GA. That would be incredible. But someone clocks me doing that, no gas. So like, I was just,
Starting point is 00:21:30 freaking out about it. We pulled it aside. Me and Hiiote, walked to a gas station, filled up the tanks, went back, fucking popped it in, and where we go.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I remember how we got onto that. How did we get onto that? I don't know, but that was great. That was a great story. It sucks. 12 hours. So we didn't see her at Rockville
Starting point is 00:21:47 because now we know what? That car must have been fucking freezing. It was quite nice, actually. It's all right. It's all good. And now it's a running joke. Everyone when we get out of the car,
Starting point is 00:21:58 these two are like, Engine off. Oh no. And I deserve it. Because I'm a fucking moron. That's all right, mate. What's up, guys? Sorry for the interruption, but I want to let you know about the sponsor of today's podcast, NordVPN.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Now, I'm an idiot. I'm chopped. I'm unk. And I've turned down a bunch of VPN sponsors for the podcast because I thought I didn't need it. And it ends up, it's probably something I should have been using for a while. Reason number one, that you guys know I'm working in the States at the moment. That's all very well and good. I'm having a lovely time.
Starting point is 00:22:27 But I am in dire need. of my UK comedies. I am missing my Alan Partridge. I'm missing my peep show. I'm starting to do friends, humor and stuff. It's just no good. It's got to go. One click of a button with NordVPN.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Boom, I'm watching my shows. Reason number two, because of the incredibly lax privacy laws over here, all I'm getting is spam phone calls. I bought a car. I'm getting spam warranties pretending to be the people that I bought the car from. Like, absolutely just subhuman scum trying to phone me. and thanks to the NORVPM spam block feature, I put that on, haven't had a single one since, and I'm not kidding you,
Starting point is 00:23:05 I'll have about four to five a day. Maybe you just want to keep your private time private. Again, just one click of a button, and you can get up to whatever you want legally and, you know, hopefully responsibly, without anyone snooping on you. Just make sure you click the button before you go and get the lotion, or else it could be a bit messy, and that's not on me. I'm also booking a lot of flights all the time,
Starting point is 00:23:26 stuff for the podcast, stuff for music, whatever like that and I didn't know until getting North VPN that what these plane companies do, plane companies, airline companies, what they do is they look at your IP. The amount of times that you've checked the price of a flight, they see how many times you've done it and they jack up the prices. It was always a mystery to me what it is and it ends up, it's just your IP. So again, one little click of a button, I go back to that site, not going to name them, but I am angry at them, and the price of the flight goes back to that first price that I saw a minute ago. Starting point is 00:24:24 Wear a mask. like sleep token, I don't know, NordvPN.com forward slash downbitch. Do you like being in America? Love it. Yeah, I think so. I think we actually, I shouldn't really say that, should I? Is it?
Starting point is 00:24:34 You can say it. We're actually going to move to Hawaii. I think we prefer it to Europe. Yeah. That's the general consensus, but not as much as Australia. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know what, touring Australia is the best.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I mean, I'm sure you probably agree, right? It's two weeks. The best place on earth. It's great. Bali is. And then Hawaii Australia is the best place on earth Yeah, ribs
Starting point is 00:24:59 In terms of like So, I mean Bali and like exotic places like that I'm talking from like Dumb dumb white man But like In terms of like my Culture shock being minimal And like
Starting point is 00:25:14 And then weather and quality of life Australia number one It is good yeah Did you ever go to Perth When you were there? Yeah So chiller Thing that sucks
Starting point is 00:25:23 Are you in Perth Yeah. The thing that sucks about Perth is getting there. Yeah, it's a... How do you feel about these festivals versus Euro festivals? Because I have my thoughts. I have my thoughts. How many have you done?
Starting point is 00:25:34 You did Rockford, we did this. Yeah. We tried to do Blue Ridge. But obviously, that got... Blue Ridge Gate, 23. Yeah, or 23. Yeah. I really enjoy the Euro festivals.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yep. Yeah. But in saying that, like, this is kind of... I think this artist area is... Awesome. Like, I think they've set it up really well here. I think I can say it more than you. Because you are still in the band.
Starting point is 00:26:01 I can say it. Right, gone. These festivals, particularly, just these in general, particularly like the Wimmore ones. I feel like someone went to Europe and went, this is awesome. Yeah. Let me just make it a little bit easier.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Right. Wait, I'm going to put something else in the ring, though. Gone? The UK. All right, go. What? Okay. So, yeah, UK festivals, I'm agreeing, really got to step their fucking game up.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Yep. Without telling me the festival, it seems like you got a bone to pick about something. Can't say. You can tell me the situation, just getting horrendously underpaid. No, just throwing in the UK in the ring, I would rate them the lowest. Yeah. Where's Australia, though? Actually, you know what?
Starting point is 00:26:47 Possibly lower than the UK. There you go. Possibly Australia. Well, we just don't have the years running. the history of the experiences as such. It's talking about the Australian festivals. Yeah. Not touring, just the festival circuit.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Unified. Is that still going? And you know what? I think Australia. Did you do download in Oz? Download in Oz. Did you do it? No.
Starting point is 00:27:11 But I did. Download in Oz. So I can't say the Australian festivals because they don't want to disrespect anyone in Australia. I think the difficulty is you are getting, but I'm just disrespecting everyone at the moment. That is good. You are, you're obviously trying to pay for art. us to come international. It's very hard.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Especially if it's a new festival, which there is scope for newness in Australia. Are we talking about Australia? Australian festivals. You've now on a press thing about Australia. No, no, no, no, no. I'm saying, I'm justifying why they might be the lowest that I would rate. It's harder.
Starting point is 00:27:44 It's just new. And trial and error hasn't had years and years to run and improve, right? So Australia, then the UK, maybe America, but then Europe is elite. You go Europe elite over this. European festivals are elite. I love them, but like, I don't know, sometimes things are a little bit harder than they need to be. Whereas here, for example, with the podcast stuff, we didn't have a couch.
Starting point is 00:28:11 We got here. Imagine you're a band, right? Imagine you're a band and you don't have, I don't know, one of your pedals at a Euro festival, it's going to be rough. they're not going to go. They might get it in the end, but it's not going to be easy. We came here, we didn't have a fucking couch. Yeah. And they were like, here's your chairs.
Starting point is 00:28:30 And I went, we kind of need something that looks a bit nicer. Not even that. I don't even think I mentioned anything. I think we were going to use the chairs, weren't we? And they were like, no, this doesn't look as good as it could do. Let us go to Target for you by now. Oh, that's sick. And we'll grab you a couch.
Starting point is 00:28:42 And they did it. Okay, fair enough. That's cool. That's fucking cool. That's fucking cool. America definitely go above and beyond. American people. There's enough.
Starting point is 00:28:49 There's enough shit getting taught. A bit going on, yeah. Yeah. There's a bit. What do you eat when you're here? Chicken. Yeah, a lot of chicken. Are you healthy?
Starting point is 00:28:56 Raising canes. Yeah. Fuck, yeah, dude. Raising canes near here. Raising canes. Oh, fuck, mate. That might be a stop. Are you putting Keynes number one?
Starting point is 00:29:06 No, Flamies. Oh, Flashil. Yeah, Flamies. Flamies. Nashville Flamies. We had two nights in a row elite. Yeah, that was sick. I think, for me, raising Keynes is number one, for sure.
Starting point is 00:29:18 In terms of fast food. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm, I go in and out number one. Actually, oh, number two, I'd say. But great burgers. The fries are shit.
Starting point is 00:29:28 But the, uh, the burgers are, it's just everything you want, really, in a burger, isn't it? Australia's got good food, though. Australia's got good, great food. Melbourne especially. You can just get protein, protein. Like, I don't care if it's fried. It's protein.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Yeah, you can get, do you get your in and out protein style when they don't have a bun? I genuinely just buy chicken tenders. I have, a streak, I think I've had, I've missed one day on this tour where I haven't had chicken tenders. Like cooking them yourself? No, just buying them. From an establishment.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Yeah. Yeah. Probably not chicken. One thing I've learned from living here is the like, the quality of food, not great. There's rules in Australia and in the UK for their food and they don't have it here, which is good for like abundance. But like if I'm going, if I'm buying a steak for the grass fed stuff, which is, Is it illegal in Australia to not have grass-fed beef?
Starting point is 00:30:25 No, we still have grain. Like a lot of it now, though, is like grass and grain finished. Oh, no, grain and then grass finished or something like that. Grass finished? Yeah. What the fuck was that mean? It could be the other way around. But in Australia, I only get, like, grass-fed, fucking, like, organic shit.
Starting point is 00:30:47 It costs me like $4 million a week. It's fucked. Here it's even worse if you want something that's like, because the poison shit is like kind of expensive. And then the shit that's like not going to give you cancer is fucked up. Is this good? You want to talk about music? You're not happy.
Starting point is 00:31:03 No one's fucking happy. No one's fucking out. We're talking about music so many times. I, this whole thing is born out of how much I fucking hate festival press. Yeah. Honestly, I don't want to say one more time.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Yeah, my favorite song to play is this. And yeah, yeah, we're writing. And to Danny, Like, again, with the US versus Euro festivals, they literally told me they were like, hey,
Starting point is 00:31:26 we know everyone hates festival press. So we're trying to do something different this year. I think there's only four people here. And I'm one of the four. And they were like, just come and do. And I was like, what do you want me to do? I thought you were the only one. Come and do what we do.
Starting point is 00:31:38 You didn't get any other offers. Did we? Not for today. They're not good. We kind of turn it down a little bit to us as well. Because it's so true. It just more a vibe. And yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah, because it sucks. and I'm trying to fucking change it. So the new album, the latest album, it's not new at all. Was it? Yeah, what, are you doing the new one? I was about to make a joke of like a... Oh, it's like, yeah, literally like over a year old now, but yes. So why did you call it, make them suffer and not the name?
Starting point is 00:32:05 I was going to say that, but now I'm going to say, you would do another one, didn't you? Yeah. Are we allowed to say anything? Yeah, we are, apparently. Okay. Let's make this the official now. Literally, tomorrow we're flying to L.A. to record. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Fuck, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, we're like to say. We're going to be in Woodland Hills, so it's not really LA. Is it? I don't fucking know. I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:32:25 I mean, who? I'm going to be at a, hang on. I'm in the studio and who. We're going to be with Dan Braunstein. Yeah, so we're going to fuck with Dan for a bit and see what comes out. Are you already written, ready to go? We kind of have like just, just, right now it's just like, hell, ADHD brain. And then we want to put it into folders.
Starting point is 00:32:47 We've got a, we've got a Discord that, We've been chucking in like riffs. The guys have had a rift bank since before I joined years ago, riffs that are sort of being brought up to the forefront again and new stuff. And so we've got just like a just a massive channel. Dan's in the channel now. We're all just cooking it up. Chucking rifts around.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Yeah. It's sort of, I'd say 50%, 40% cooked. 40%. Yeah, yeah, something like that. Yeah. Bit raw in the middle. So like full song. Full songs?
Starting point is 00:33:20 I'd say rare. No, I don't think we really have full songs, do we? Like, kind of, but like, we still want to fuck with everything. But lots and lots and lots and lots of riffs. Yeah, exactly. And like, everyone we've spoken to is just like, bro, Dan is like best. So, like, we're really looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Do you have, like, writing sessions together or is it all digital? That's all digital. Because we all live, like, we all live. Yeah, we don't live anywhere near each other. Yeah. And I live. two kilometers away from Nick and I see him once every six months.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Yeah, yeah. Because you're fucking out. I'm joining the army this week. I'm fucking. No, I mean, I speak, obviously we speak like every day or something, but physically we don't get together and do stuff. It's just all in our own little world when we go home.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Yeah. Come together. Yeah. Yeah. And Jaya literally lives in the bush. So it's not even a joke. He lives in a bush. Let's talk about a quita.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Yeah. Coolest thing I've ever seen. Yeah? Why has no one done it before you? Well, I think they have. In Arce. So here we go again, European festivals. When we went to Europe on one of our stages, I think it was in Finland.
Starting point is 00:34:30 There was like three keytas before me. Really? Yeah. And I was embarrassed because mine was like an old of a model and they had this really sparking with beautiful kitas. And I was like, I'm not special anymore. Is there like different action? Look, the kitas are very big in Europe. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:34:49 European metal. I know. And I wish I would like to utilize it more. It's... If you win a $3,000 a month payday for life, what would you feel free to do? Maybe take a long weekend, every weekend, or try a bunch of new hobbies.

Starting point is 00:35:25 No, I've got it. No, fuck, no. It's there. Oh, she's there. Do you know how hard it is to pick up that thing? That thing is taller than me. Try and fucking play that thing. It's all black keys as well.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Do you know how fucking cool it looks? It's cool. I remember you, I've saw that video of you playing it. Oh, there is a video. It's day one of talk. Maybe that was in Prague. Yeah, that was day one, isn't it? I remember.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And I was like, you were sound checking. I was like, give me that fucking thing. And it's just. Some of the banks are just like crazy noises. Yeah, that's it. There's so many banks on it. There's so many things I can put on. It's overwhelming.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I actually went through every bank and I wrote little notes with the numbers like this would, this like muse. Yeah. Or like, um, da-da-da-da-da. Who's that band? Europe. Yeah. And I was like, this sounds like this. And I wrote notes to myself being like if you ever want something that sounds like this, this is all.
Starting point is 00:36:14 But that's just the ones that exist on there. I can import thousands of fucking, I can do anything. You play it. Not standing up. Only that, peop, bo, yeah,
Starting point is 00:36:24 so you play the sit down. I play it like keys, yeah. And then the key cells just for noise. Yeah. I would love, I have grand,
Starting point is 00:36:32 I have grand plans in my mind of things I would like to do with it, like a proper key tar. Yeah, a lead line. I'm just got to master it, you know, I've got to.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Chuck her a fucking lead line. There's some pretty cool shit, like shreddy soloy stuff. With the fucking bar. Yeah, it's got a fucking whammy on it. Up there. Yeah, the guitar hero.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It's got the whammer. And it's got a slide. And it's very cool. That's fucking sick. How do you go about learning the parts? Because obviously the parts are done in MIDI first. So, okay. I mean, I'm guessing.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Learning the parts was really, really hard. Because, again, it depends on which album it was. And which song. Some of it was MIDI. Some of it was not. So I spent months months. Months. Real what, piano?
Starting point is 00:37:20 Months. I think it was a race me. I didn't have MIDI. No MIDI, nothing. So I am listening. There was a little bit, I think there was, I think there might have been a tiny bit of MIDI, but not completely. And I'm honestly listening over and over by ear, months that are just going, I think it's that note. I think it's that note.
Starting point is 00:37:40 And because I'm not a key boardist, I'm not a pianist. I learned when I was really young. So for me, it was just mostly, truly muscle memory, just that. That's being a pianist. That note. Oh, but it's... You've learned it. Sometimes I'm self-conscious, like, how I hold my hands.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Like, I don't know if this looks okay. And I'm like, but a lot of it was learnt by ear. Easy. Contraband by ear. Bones pretty easy by ear. Some stuff, no proof of... Like, there's literally no MIDI, nothing. It's like baked in.
Starting point is 00:38:10 But do you know enough to go, oh, that's a C. I'll do that. Yeah, I'm really exposing myself here, Craig. I wrote all the notes on the key. I mean, I, look, I know from, I definitely studied music when I was young, like I played the violin. Yeah. And I did play the piano and I played the guitar. So I've got basic music theory.
Starting point is 00:38:29 I know where middle C is. So from once you know where that is, you can sort of build out from there. But I have all the notes written on my keytah. And I just visually, it's truly a visual thing for me. I just know how it looks. I don't know if that sounds insane. After you've learned it with the notes written on it, now you know what it looks. Yeah, no, I kind of get it.
Starting point is 00:38:49 It's like guitar hero. It's like, it's truly muscle memory. And you just got a C, D, E. It's alphabet. It's, it's memory. And if someone was like, play a C major chord, I'd be like, I don't know. But, mate, I think a lot of musicians are like that perhaps as well.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Yeah. I mean, I can play piano, but I literally learn exactly the same as that. Yeah. Put stickers on the fucking nodes and then go online. Yeah. What notes do I do? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:18 When did you learn the middy and figured it out? Yeah. When did you learn the drums? You're good at the drums, by the way. Oh, thanks, Colin. Very fucking good. Thanks, mate. Yeah, try.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Today was average. You have it? It's very hard on himself. He's very, very hard on himself. Is that real or is he just being hard on himself? No, I think he's incredibly hard on himself. Yeah, I am. I am.
Starting point is 00:39:38 You're very, very talented. I, I, sometimes, yeah, I'm just like, you know, you miss a rim shot and you're like, that was the worst fucking show of my life. Yeah. Or the timing feels. off, but it's because you're in fucking matrix mode and you're like, oh, biff that and then you watch your video back. It's like, it's like, we were just talking about today, like, the fucking click in, like,
Starting point is 00:39:58 Bones felt like it was 50 BPM slower. It was just fucked. And I was just constantly trying to pull myself back, pull myself back. When did I learn? I think I was like 10. So I'd, I'd moved to Australia from the UK, big ups. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:16 I didn't know that. Yeah. I'm a monk. Oh, there he is. I'm a monk, me. That's fucking crazy. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:40:25 What age? 10. Yeah. So I moved over when I was 10. You lost the accent. Oh, yeah, fully, fully fucking gone. And then, yeah, I think like a year later, I started playing drums, started doing like mud vein covers and shit, you know.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Dig. And then, yeah, like, probably peaked at 16 and then. And that was here. Yeah, it just gradually got worse. Yeah. So, but yeah, like, I probably, I think when I started, I probably had like three lessons with this, like, insane jazz guy. And like, definitely not Alex Ballou of error. He's a jazzer?
Starting point is 00:41:02 No, I don't think so. He's a weapon. I just had to throw that in there. Yeah. He's outside at the moment. Is weapon derogatory? No. In the UK is derogatory.
Starting point is 00:41:11 In the UK, weapon means like he's a bit of a weapon. And it's like, I don't know why. Yeah. Really? Oh my God, it's the opposite for us. Yeah, that's top tier. Weapon is bad in the UK. And it doesn't make sense that it's bad in the UK, but it is.
Starting point is 00:41:27 It's like, he's a bit of weapons. Good to know. God. Planca, you got plonker? Plonka, ah, yeah. We don't have any of us, but obviously no plonker from growing up. It means like, like an idiot. Like a loser a little bit.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Yeah, yeah. Numpy? Yeah, numpty. You got numbty. Like peanut? Peanut. Yeah. Oh, he's a fucking.
Starting point is 00:41:48 So my one for that is lemon. Lemon's good, yeah. Or a melt. Mel. You've got melt in Australia. It doesn't get thrown around that much, but I try and pop it in whenever I can. I'm trying to bring lemon back. Donut.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Donut. Oh, poor Gordon Ramsey. What are you doing your fucking donut? Yeah, that's a bit of a... Trying to bring back the PG-13s. Is this motionless? Yeah. Oh, I'll fucking love this song.
Starting point is 00:42:14 What are you talking about motionless? What? Go! You can go. Yeah, of course. I only just notice. And they're on that stage right there. Yeah, get out.
Starting point is 00:42:25 And you're going to love their show. It's fucking awesome, dude. Yes, please. Yeah, you got the Chesa bombs. Go. Yeah, emotional. I could feel it. I feel the.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Oh, you're a good. I heard that. I heard that and was like, I was like, you guys were talking before and I was just like, I couldn't hear, I can't hear them. I'm locked in. So fucking good. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:45 You did at all with them. We did. It's UK Europe. Yeah. I was so gutted about that. It was like a month after I left, I think. Right. And then you played on my street where I used to live.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Oh, you're joking. Glasgow Academy. I used to live on the fucking street. Yeah, those shows were so fucking awesome, man. We finally got to play Ali Pally, like, and they're just so, so nice. The fucking best. So nice. And, like, obviously, we're on tour with Dayseekers as well.
Starting point is 00:43:16 They're like our homies. They're honestly so nice as well. The shit they both, both bands did for us as an open band covering things to help us out. Yeah. Yeah. Putting us up in our crew in hotels on like the last night and stuff to help us out. Like,
Starting point is 00:43:28 just incredible shit really. I think it goes to like say that you guys are just fun. And you're a great band obviously, but like you're in my top five of bands I want to fucking hang out with. Oh, yeah. So say when Stray was looking at you guys for that tour. The conversation obviously, comes up, like they're from Australia, we're going to, it's going to cost us more money.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Yeah. But it's like, that's worth more than everything. Are the band's good and I want to hang out with them? Yeah. Fine. Yeah. It's fucking, it makes those little dingy places in Spain, like, worth it, right? Always Spain.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Always Spain. Always fucking Spain. That's what I want. You got anyone on the bucket list to tour with? Ooh. Electric Corboy. Um, he disagrees. Corn?
Starting point is 00:44:12 Really want it. Corn. Corn. You did you tour with Electric Corboy. No. What? Oh, sorry, did you say, sorry, what was the question? No, she said an electric cowboy and you had no reaction.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Oh, I thought you said, no. I thought you said you've toured with the electric cord boy. No, no. Yeah, oh, yeah, definitely. Corn's your bucket list one, though. Corn, I think, is my bucket list. I'm still like that 13-year-old kid that has the corn poster in my bedroom. Slipknot would obviously be great.
Starting point is 00:44:40 They're not too far away. Carnival? I'd love to tour with Carnival. We, like, became friends with those guys. like Carnival, I don't know how they do in Australia, but I feel like you're probably the same size in like the UK. They just did Brownhouse, I think. They might be slightly bigger, yeah. What are you guys putting in in the UK these days? I'm not. I haven't tried. I don't know. I think the last one we did was like a thousand. And then, but I think the next one would be
Starting point is 00:45:06 quite big. We played, yeah, Manchester. That was our biggest headliner. We sold out. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, that's about a thousand. Big up the hometown. Yeah. Yeah, it was, like, That was probably one of the funnest shows. I can't remember where it was. Was it the academy? Yeah, one of them. We just did the academy on that last run. It might be my favourite show.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Yeah. London and Glasgow for being like hometown shows for me. But you know what? It's like a hometown show. I don't know about you. I play like shit every time. Of course. Because what you make,
Starting point is 00:45:34 family and shit's there. And I don't warm up enough because I'm hanging out. Exactly. And then I go play something goes fucking wrong. Yeah. But Manchester shows up. Oh, the best, man. Yeah, I will say for the UK, the crowd.
Starting point is 00:45:46 is awesome. Yeah. Really awesome. Yeah. It actually feels like home. Yeah. Yeah. Because like Oz crowds are fucking insane. And I forgot how good Australia was to we did the regional.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Oh yeah. We did like the pubs and RSLs and stuff in Australia. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is that natural place? Oh, you forget Australia loves us though. What am I saying?
Starting point is 00:46:07 Wall and Gong. Wall and Gong. Wollongong. Yeah. Fucking Wollongong, mate. That's right. Yeah. Yeah, we did some sick places on that.
Starting point is 00:46:15 That was so much. What are you guys pull in Australia? Okay, we'll go off like what we're going to do next year. Melbourne is four and a half. It's fucking amazing. Yeah. We just, I mean, we didn't fucking think we'd be able to do anything like that.
Starting point is 00:46:32 That's fucking so good. Yeah. And then... Australia shows up for their own bands. Hell yeah, dude. Like, really, really fucking does. I still think it's my favourite place to tour, honestly. Like, I love America.
Starting point is 00:46:45 Because the coffee's good. And the coffee's fucking amazing. The coffee's fucking amazing. I miss the coffee so much. I was like talking to my friend yesterday. That one's not bad. You've been out there? No.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Drip. Oh, the line was like to you. Oh yeah, it's crazy. But it is free and they are good. Have you found some good spots in Nash's? Do you know what? This is the thing. We are spoiled that we get to go to these places that people would pay a lot of money to go to.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Yeah. And then we get to just Google what's the best fucking thing there. And then we go. And then as a result, you try some of the best things on earth. Yeah. So then when you move somewhere, you get a lot of people saying, are you who haven't had, you know, they haven't had sushi in Tokyo and they haven't. So you'll go and you'll be like, they'll be like, oh, okay, you've got to try this place.
Starting point is 00:47:32 It's fucking amazing. It's 10 out of 10. And I go, isn't it, mate? Yeah. Might even be a 7. And the coffee in Nashville was the same. There was one really good place called Now and Then, which was amazing. Shut down because no one cared
Starting point is 00:47:46 And there's a lot, same coffee shops and barbershops There's a lot of like All the things are there It looks like I go in Minimalist One of those boards that has the individual letters There's some plants around There's a good machine and I go and I'm like
Starting point is 00:48:04 Okay this is going to be good mid Yeah So I'm really having And Australia did you see that Zach? Yeah Zach to last Yeah He was supposed to come on a podcast
Starting point is 00:48:13 That was where I work He was in Nashville. We were supposed to come on a podcast. Oh, that would be cool. We didn't get to do it. Oh, what a shame. He did that thing trying to have a shit coffee. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Yeah. So he went to the building where when I had a corporate job back in the day. That's where I work. That was my local coffee store every day. Crazy. Yeah, and that's where he went. But all around there, because he went to one around the corner the next day. They're all brilliant.
Starting point is 00:48:34 It's just, I don't know what it is. You just got, I mean, I do know what it is. Okay, we know what's good. And we're just doing that. Yeah. Yeah. So, like, Nashville, there is great. places.
Starting point is 00:48:45 In particular, there's like a sushi place that everyone says is, oh, you've got to go. It's indicative, actually, of America in general. A lot of its style over substance. And it's like, you've got to go to this sushi place. There's one I'm thinking of, I can't remember the name of it. And everyone's like the best sushi I've ever had. And I'm like, fuck yeah. I've been to Osaka for an omikaze tasting.
Starting point is 00:49:06 This has got to be fucking. And I go, vibes are immaculate. Menu's fucking incredible. I get it. And it's like, fucking seven. 11 sushi. Is that because the people saying it are Americans? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Because Americans don't love to travel that much. I know. It might be the best in Nashville. Best in Nashville, yeah. But here's the twist. I found a different sushi place that is, it's high rated, but it's like no one's,
Starting point is 00:49:31 no one's buzzing about it. There's no buzz. When, and I was like, this is best sushi I ever had in America. Yeah. But it's, it is,
Starting point is 00:49:40 it looks like a hole in the wall. Yeah. And it's run by, Asian people and not white people. Yeah. And therefore it is authentically fucking amazing, but it hasn't got the like, I'll take you here to dinner, the other one.
Starting point is 00:49:53 It's like we go in. Looks amazing. White people everywhere. Yeah. I don't trust white people to make my Asian food. You can't go to an Asian restaurant and see a bunch of whites. It's the same with there's a Korean one nearby and everyone's like, we've got to go there and it's all hype.
Starting point is 00:50:07 It's got all the fucking things. It's got the neon sign. You go in, everyone's white. And I eat the food. Madison, who's not in here, she's gone to watch motion as well. She knows her Asian food. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:19 And we'll go. And the first thing she'll say is no Asian people behind the in the kitchen. Yeah. I don't trust it. And then we get it. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:50:28 It's like eight out of ten. But, you know. Yeah. Do you want to do something fun? Yes. Do you want to do a game? Yes. It involved drinking.
Starting point is 00:50:36 I wish. I'm kind of glad I'm sent from one shot. You know what? I think I've like, obviously, if I'm not drinking for a while, I've got the buzz after one beer. And you want another one? So do I.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Oh, yeah. But yeah. Yeah, this is amazing. Hello. Yeah, microphone. Get on. What's your name, sorry? I am, Skyler.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Skylar. Skregg, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. I'm out, Jordan. Alex. Alex. We had a little drinks run before the game. And Skylar came in and she was very nice and said, I love the downbeat.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Hell yeah. I just wanted to sit you down here. Are you working here? I am working, yes, sir. What's your official title? I'm the bartender supervisor. And you were like, I'm going to deliver the drinks. Yep.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Did you see him struggling? Absolutely. Well, we have rules. So we had to follow a little bit. Oh, no. So, yeah. Oh, and you helped him when you came in the podcast. Well, you're going to be in this podcast.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Skylar. Thank you so much, Skylar. Thank you for everything. Thank you for delivering the drinks. I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend. I appreciate you. It was great to meet you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Take care. You're like, let's have a hug. Absolutely. Skyla, you made my day. You made my day. Take care. Thank you, Skyla. A round of applause.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Responsibly. Thank you. Oh, look at that. Official. Oh, yeah. Going to be absolutely smart. This is so much. I haven't eaten today.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Can I give it someone a little bit? No, you can't. Shut the fuck up. No, we can't. Cheers. Cheers. Oh, boy. Oh, my fucking God.

Starting point is 00:52:59 Yeah, Madison's wearing less clothing. Leave it in. It was motionless, eh? It was motionless. Yep. Leaving it. Oh, wait a minute. Yeah, well, is it a fucking side stage?
Starting point is 00:53:09 Let me just take this shirt of. I was in. It's a shit. In the pit? Are they done now? Are they finished? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Okay. Okay. I went on hurry. So take note. Thank you. I think I'm going to take an executive decision here. Okay. You not look at your own cards.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Right. Do I put this on my head? On your forehead, yeah. Stick it on. Okay. Hang on. My hair line's fucked anyway, so I should be able to get this pretty up there. You wasn't sticking on.
Starting point is 00:53:40 How fucking sweaty are you? No, it's good. Hang on. Pull it up. Pull it up. Yep. Okay. So the category is sea creatures.
Starting point is 00:53:49 You can look at each other now. Sea creatures. Sea creatures. Oh, dude. I'm going to have to say it for yours. Oh, no. So what do I do? I say, am I?
Starting point is 00:53:59 Well, yeah, try and process of elimination. Am I a crustacean? No. Good question. Am I large in size? Be careful. Mid to large. Mid.
Starting point is 00:54:13 I don't know. I mean, I guess in terms of sea creatures. In terms of sea creatures, yeah. Mid to large. Mid to large. Mid to large. Okay. Am I a mammal?
Starting point is 00:54:26 A sea mammal. No. Some of the actual fish? Well, that's a second question. I'm sorry. How big is my dick? No, it's not yes or no. That's what it needs to be.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Oh, fuck. All right. Because I feel like I would have guessed it straight away. Who knows that? Do I have? Finns. Yes. You've got to be in the sea, I guess.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Fact check. But Finn's, wait. The Finns, the... Yes. Okay. Okay. But the inquisitive nature of that should give you another little sort of clue. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Do I have a tail? Oh, you fucking have a tail with us. You got a tail, yeah. You have a tail. Yep. That tail has a tail to tail as well. Oh, yeah. Does it?
Starting point is 00:55:09 Am I a catfish? Don't come in on I had to go hard straight That's not mid to lodge If large is whale Okay All right You're not a catpish
Starting point is 00:55:21 Okay Your turn I'm drunk Do I have scales No No No No
Starting point is 00:55:30 Can I Can I go on land At all Uh I reckon no No land No land Yeah
Starting point is 00:55:38 Gotcha Am I a type of shark Technically Yes Really? Get a Google on that. Really? I'm a shark. Very, very, very technical.
Starting point is 00:55:47 I wouldn't focus too much on shark. No way. I didn't know that. All right. Nice question. Am I grey? You are grey. Do I have gnarly teeth?
Starting point is 00:56:00 I actually don't know. They have teeth. They do. It's not like its redeeming feature is its teeth. So I'm not like a barracuda lack. That would be a second question? I can't. Obviously not, because I feel like barracuda is a lack.
Starting point is 00:56:12 It's also such a boring thing for me to put on your head. Think about the brain that you're working with here. I'm a fucking genius. Am I a shark? You are not a shark. Am I an American fish? No. Oh, I don't know that, no.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Apparently not. I don't think so. I'll give you a clue. They certainly got him back home. That needs to be a clue. That needs to be a clue. Oh, ruthless. Fuck I am.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Am I native to Australia? No. So there's lots of these back home. I don't know how many they are. There is. There is. But I'm not. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:57:02 Wait, I'm not a mammal. So that means I'm not a seal. Yeah. And I'm not. Don't ask more questions. A shark because they're mammals, right? No, sharks are a mammal? I'm not a shark, though.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Sharks fish, they're warm-blooded. You already asked the question, am I a shark? I'm talking through my. Because no. I'm talking through my thought process. This is how she does shit every day. Yeah, I don't have scales. Yeah, I'm a.
Starting point is 00:57:25 Yeah. I don't have scales. I'm not a crustacean. That means I'm a pish. You are a pish. I'm a pish. That's asking a question. Yeah, I was trying to find a loophole there.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Technically in the shark family, which you did ask. Oh, yeah, there go. You were rhetorical. You asked them are a shark. But I wouldn't hold on to that. You ain't got no. Am I a flake? What the fuck is a flake?
Starting point is 00:57:52 It's a type of fish. What? A flake. Really? I thought it would be funny because... I thought it would be like, are you flaky? No, that's what I thought it would be like a funny little. Oh, absolutely not funny.
Starting point is 00:58:03 If you wonder. I've heard of a flake. No, I don't know. I don't think so, nah. Well, I hope someone loved at home. Listen, guys, a flake is a fish you eat in Australia very... And it's kind of a shark. So I'm not a flake.
Starting point is 00:58:18 All I'm... I'm great. We might need some clues. Okay. Yeah, I'm going to need a clue, I think, yeah. How about you give me one clue? Yeah, yeah. I give you one clue.
Starting point is 00:58:28 I know the clue I want to give, but it's going to just give it away. You, there are lots of you in the south, southern parts of the United States. Insane clue. I'm never going to, I would never get, why are you an expert? That would tip me up immediately. Really? Yeah, but. Fuck, I'm a dumber.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Fucking Nat Geo's over here. Yeah, I know. Christ. I'm a bit of a... Let me give you a bigger clue. It kind of makes sense that there's a load of them in America, given what they look like. Give me a clue.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Give me a clue. And then what I think about it. It is a murderer. He's right. What? Maybe the most universally... Right it up. Murderer.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Maybe the most universally hated fish. Yeah. Think about Fish 9-11. in Australia Yeah I'm not a shark Yeah I don't know if you are like Maybe a genius about sea creatures
Starting point is 00:59:29 And we've got it wrong And they're not really in Australia They're definitely in Australia Oh yeah Yeah yeah What the actual fucking fuck I'm not a crocodile No good guess
Starting point is 00:59:38 Because What the fuck is a murderous fish in Australia I think they might side with crocodiles I'm gonna be so mad when I find out What this shit is Oh you will Guy, you'll be fucking furious. Gonna drag it all back up.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Because I was furious as well. Am I an octopus? You are not an octopus, no. We've said medium to large. Yeah, but they can be massive. Should have said squid. Yeah, I should have. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Yeah, I forgot about the fin thing. You are a killer whale. You are not a killer whale. But you on the right? You are a killer, though. Yeah, one of those words is right. one of those ones is so right the fucking worst type of killer as well
Starting point is 01:00:22 like you fucked up you fucked up so bad that makes no sense there's none of that shit in Australia this game is so good I'm not a shark so I'm not a fucking yeah but you know I said just from the shark family no I said am I a shark
Starting point is 01:00:34 you said shark like closely related yeah closer related so I'm not a shark you're not a shark you're not a shark you're not a shot too much into that because there's no like fucking great wife
Starting point is 01:00:46 or something shit. Can I say that they, if you were to touch No, too much. Keep saying, keep speaking, damn it. You can technically touch you, but I'm pretty sure you're legally now to touch you. Legally?
Starting point is 01:01:02 Yeah, I think that's true. You are a child. Okay. You are a naked child. Am I a 14 year old boy? We gave you the biggest fucking clue for yours? that one very well.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Okay, so you know this one very well. You do. Am I a tuna fisher too much of mercury? I'm pretty sure that you're just fucking asshole. That shit is taught in schools at this point in your country. You had a big fucking clue and you didn't get it. I'm going to give you a big fucking poo. Fat as fuck.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Oh. Sorry. So I reckon he's... Fat as fuck. You think he doesn't know what that is? Yeah, because it's not that common industry. It's like very not common. I know what Denny's is.
Starting point is 01:01:43 What fuck is I, dad? Oh, shit. Okay, fat as fuck. There's heaps of me. Gray. I think he doesn't know this creature. No, I've got fucking nothing, man. One last question, and then...
Starting point is 01:01:58 Have I killed a human? Probably. There's so many you could have guessed, and you haven't. So, I actually think you do know what this word is. Not good. Not good but this. I'm going to say no, because they're really darsome. So gentle.
Starting point is 01:02:12 Really? You're gentle. Okay. Okay, I'll give you another clue, another clue. They kind of look like another thing that is hostile to humans. My platypus. Neon platypus. Unfortunately, I didn't go regional with yours.
Starting point is 01:02:25 Am I a Stingray? Yes, well done. You are a, I did. Filthy fucking Stingray. When you asked for like a hint, I was like, you fucked an Australian icon. No, I would have known that immediately. Yeah, too close. I would have known that immediately.
Starting point is 01:02:38 You win. Are you giving up? Yeah, I'm fine. Yeah, nothing. Hold it off. Wait. Wait, wait, let's give you a clue. It rhymes with, what does it rhyme with?
Starting point is 01:02:47 Nothing. No, because if I don't get it then, I'm an absolute fucking dumbass. Pull it off. We do, we got round two. We got round two. Oh, okay, let's have a look. No, why I would have fucking got that. Really?
Starting point is 01:03:02 You know what that is, though? I know what it is, but I don't think I would have got it. You didn't say hippo. You didn't say fucking, there's so much. Do you know what? It's very uncommon in Australia. And only people don't know. So is Denny's.
Starting point is 01:03:13 They're also called sea cow. They are not, really? They're not something that commonly comes up. Oh, yeah. Damn it. All right, well, fuck me. I only know about that because there was a TV show called revenge. And he was like, no, it was Gossip Girl.
Starting point is 01:03:31 He's like, save the manatees. And then I was like, what's a manatee? And I like, Google did. She'll fucking moor. That's boring. No, it's not because I had a cool joke that relied off that. And now we fucked it. I was going to say, save the vanities.
Starting point is 01:03:42 If only there was a revenge. show for your one. Oh, I know. You are both famous dogs. I'm going to look at you. Are you ready? Three, two, one. Look at me.
Starting point is 01:03:54 Okay. Oh, man. You go first. Am I an Australian dog? No. You're asking him. It's not me. Ask me.
Starting point is 01:04:02 No. Am I an Aussie? Okay. Am I? I don't know who this is, though. I kind of do. I kind of do. I kind of do, but I kind of don't.
Starting point is 01:04:11 You're going to need to help me. Yeah. Okay, go. Have I. I've been like in the spotlight. Sorry, okay, let me. Have I been on TV? You are on TV, yes.
Starting point is 01:04:24 I am on TV. You are on TV. I've actually got a pretty good guess already, I think. Don't you fucking dare. Am I a cartoon dog? You are not a cartoon dog. Fuck, that was going to be my question. Okay, do you want to answer the question?
Starting point is 01:04:37 Yeah, am I a cartoon dog? You are a cartoon dog. I think you've got it. Shut the phone off. No, it's you. It's you. It's you. So you have to think you're not a cartoon dog.
Starting point is 01:04:46 There's not many famous real dogs. Am I in a movie? You are in a movie. You should have guessed it. You should have guessed it because he's about to get his. Maybe I think so. Am I on a kids TV show? You are on a kid's TV show, but you can't.
Starting point is 01:05:06 You can't. It's now her question, but you are on a cartoon. Oh, sorry. No, no, no, it's your question. But she could. Now, we're... That's my turn because you didn't get that soon enough. Take the guess.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Am I lassie? You're not lassie. Yes, though. Am I bluey? You are blue. Yes. Damn it. Fuck yeah, I win.
Starting point is 01:05:24 I love winning. Would you like to continue to get yours? So many options to be a movie dog. Is it? Yeah. I could be L. Woods dog. I could be Milo and Otis. I think you can get it.
Starting point is 01:05:40 But I don't think you're going to get it. I think this is going to be. It's a tough one, I think I would struggle with that. Because I don't know that is. I've never watched it. Put it off and see if you know. Great one. I know who that is.
Starting point is 01:05:53 I just wouldn't have guessed it. Yeah, I wouldn't have got it either. Like, I think if we had had lots of time to go around. That's great. This is a good game. It's a great game. We got one more. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Oh, is it one more? Best of thing. Oh, yeah, it is. Oh, dude. Let's do it. Things you might find at Christmas. All right That is fucking class
Starting point is 01:06:21 Okay Oh man Am I human You are a human Yes Yes Am I Something that's cooked
Starting point is 01:06:30 That I know that's like Kind of No no no No it's a great question I mean like in the oven or something Like it cooks No no no I mean
Starting point is 01:06:41 Eventually Eventually Eventually Got cooked. Okay. No? Definitely no. No, definitely not cooked.
Starting point is 01:06:51 Am I a woman? Sometimes they can be women. But for this purposes. Yeah. Am I human? Debatably. Debatedly. Debatably.
Starting point is 01:07:06 I'd say yes for the sake of this. I think been proven yes. What the fuck. Am I evil? You are in some way evil yet. Incredible. I would say. Yeah, evil.
Starting point is 01:07:16 But evil is a weird word, but yeah, evil. Yeah, am I the bad guy? Like, you are, you are the bad guy. Oh, I asked two questions. All right. No. See how it is? All right, you asked you then, go on.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Nah, nah, uh, would I be on the table? No. Okay. You wouldn't be at the table, no. Am I? Old Testament biblical vibes? No. No.
Starting point is 01:07:41 Some of your belief, soul. Ha ha. So I'm not biblical. No. Am I something that's bought? Bought? I mean, yeah. You're not having it, eh?
Starting point is 01:07:58 There's no way. I'll give you a free guest by now. I'll also give you a phone guest. Am I an escort? What kind of Christmases are you having? Watch out, that's going to fall off your end. What kind of Christmas is? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:08:14 They're like, what if someone rocks up and they're embarrassed that they're not with anyone anymore? Think more. Think more Christmas. There's questions you could be asking. I, the Grinch. No. You are not the Grinch. If I was you, I would.
Starting point is 01:08:29 Metaphorically, perhaps. You would probably be considered the Grinch at the Christmas table. I'd have been like easy bit of a Grinch. My related to Jesus in any... You are absolutely related to Jesus. Am I the Pope? No. You might be the Pope, but I don't know if the Pope has any nieces or nephews.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Or his views. Yeah. Think about what I said. Am I a cross on a tree? No. And again, big clue. You were so close. The last question, you were right there.
Starting point is 01:09:11 You were right there. Exactly. Yeah. All right. I feel like I'm meant to be someone's uncle at this point. You are? Uncle who the fuck, bro? I need more.
Starting point is 01:09:22 I need more. Think about it. Think about Christmas. The creepy uncle at Christmas. You are so close. You're so close. That was your guest. So close. Next.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Related to Jesus. I mean, technically no. Am I a priest? No, you are so close. You are not technically related to Jesus. I am not. But you're really, if anything, you're more than related to him. You'll go, you've said his name once already.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Am I a fictional character of a movie? How can you go from creepy uncle to that? Because I'm trying to think, am I a fictional character or a real person? Oh no, that's great. It should have been said fucking 20 minutes ago, but yeah, no, you're not. So I'm a real person. You are a concept, but yeah, a real person. I've said his name already.
Starting point is 01:10:10 You're an archetype, yeah. Creepy uncle was so close. I just need a different word. Yeah, you find heaps of those at Christmas. Uncle. No, a little less. Go less evil from... Think about Christmas dinner.
Starting point is 01:10:28 Think about it's not, maybe not yours, but a stereotypical Christmas dinner. Can I give you one? Yeah, go on. Let's just give you a job. Yeah, yeah, yeah, give us one. Do it. You come in many forms. Fuck off, really.
Starting point is 01:10:41 I like the fact that you haven't guessed God. Yeah, think about. I'm telling you it's not God, but you said, am I related to Jesus? What is the reason for Christmas? Because, oh, mate, died. Christmas? That'd be Easter. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Fuck, mate. Oh, it's his birthday. Whose fucking birthday is it? Jesus. Is that? Are we giving him Jesus? No. We have to give him.
Starting point is 01:11:07 Like, for the point? For the point. Okay, no, we got to keep going. You've got to keep, because so many questions you can ask. Okay. So I know that I'm an evil man and I'm real. And now we're getting into real specifics. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:20 Can I give a real clue? You give me a good. You're a good thing. You were so on point with uncle. I've already said, I got. Yeah, you said creepy uncle. Uncle, something uncle. I truly have nothing.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Same. I'm like, I'm fucking stumped as far. You're both one word away. Okay, I'm going to think of the clue. Baby Jesus. Boom. Give me an easier clue. Easy clue.
Starting point is 01:11:46 Go on. It's more likely that we would encounter that uncle than any of you guys would encounter that uncle. Yeah, actually. Why would we not encounter that uncle to the extent of them? It's clear that Ridi does not see color. If we're talking about cancellations, if we're getting, we're getting so racist. Ridi, Ridi, and that's it. We are getting really racist.
Starting point is 01:12:14 That's fucked up, guys. No, no, no, no. You're so close. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, right, right. Which uncle? The racist uncle? Yes! I don't have any racist uncles.
Starting point is 01:12:25 It doesn't have to be yours. It's a consensual game. Are you a fucking manatee? It's too conceitial. Well done, all right. I didn't we're done. That was great. That was so good.
Starting point is 01:12:36 I love you. I'm so glad it was you. I was in a fucking terrible mood. And I'm in a great mood. Yes. Also drunk. Good. We have to do it again when you come to now.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Nashville. Yeah, man. Absolutely. We didn't talk about music. They're fucking great. Music sucks. They're the best. Love you.
