Hey everyone, welcome to the Dr. Josh Axe show. I'm your host, Dr. Axe. In each and every week on the show,
I uncover the science and the principles behind how to grow in body, mind, and spirit, and take your health and your life to the next level.
On today's episode, I'm going to be sharing how to make your 30s the best years of your life. And I can tell you from being in my early 40s and just getting through my 30s,
I really feel like I know what you need to do to maximize your life, run your best life possible, and have amazing finances, great health,
awesome relationships and so much more.
I'll be sharing those secrets on the show today.
Also, make sure to subscribe to this channel
so you don't miss this four-part series
where I dive deep into how to be healthy
in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond.
Well, the first thing in one big change
that most people start to experience in their 30s
is that you start having more kids.
Now, statistically, people used to have kids much younger
in their 20s, but today it happens more.
people tend to have more kids in their 30s than when they're in their 20s.
And so keeping yourself fertile, boosting your fertility for men and women is critical.
Now, in previous podcasts, I've covered how women can boost their fertility, also how men can boost
their fertility.
This is becoming a real issue in men because testosterone levels over the last 50 to 60 years
have dropped by 33 percent in men.
Many, many men are having real issues there.
and then many women struggle with fertility as well, also carrying a child as well.
And so I want to go through the most important things nutritionally so you can stay fertile
in your 30s and live your best life possible.
And so first thing to know for women and then I'll hit on men, but women, I do not encourage
you to use birth control.
I recommend you stay away from birth control.
Birth control has so many negative side effects, everything from depleting your body
of B vitamins, especially.
B2, B3, B6, B9, and B12, deplete your body of selenium, deplete your body of iodine,
deplete your body of probiotics, deplete your body of magnesium, zinc, and vitamin C.
All of those nutrients are depleted when you take birth control, and some studies have shown
long-term consumption of birth control actually decreases your fertility and your ability to be fertile.
And so birth control has a lot of negative effects.
Now, here's another thing that might surprise you.
Did you know that using birth control long term increases your risk of hypothyroidism by 283%?
And so we know that birth control increases your risk of hypothyroidism, decreases your ability to become fertile, lowers your energy.
It even impacts the way that you look at the opposite sex and in the sex partner and who you choose as a spouse.
long term. And so if you are supplementing with or using a medication of birth control,
just know there's a lot of negative effects. And there are ways instead of doing negative things
for your fertility, you want to focus on supporting your fertility when you're in your 30s.
Here are some ways to do that. One is lower stress. You know, do your best to do the things you
love to do. Get outside. Go on walks in nature. The more time you spend outside,
Typically, the better your fertility, the better your mental health, the better your overall health.
There are also specific nutrients that can really support fertility.
Vitamin D is very important.
Vitamin D is a pro-hormone that boosts immunity and helps improve fertility.
It's also a folate known as vitamin B9.
This is really critical both for the mother and for the child, which supports fertility.
Selenium is critical to the function of our thyroid and for promoting fertility.
Omega-3 fatty acids, so getting more omega-3s.
Now, this is important in terms of diet as well,
and I'm gonna touch on some of these foods in a minute.
Iron tends to be a nutrient, most women are deficient in,
and then also consider some of the following supplements
if you wanna support your fertility,
and just for women in their 30s in general, probiotics.
Oftentimes we're exposed to so many things
that deplete the good bacteria in our gut,
probiotics help that.
Collagen, you know, once you reach the age of
25 every year after your body's producing less collagen. That's what causes wrinkles. It's what
causes sagging skin. And so if you want to continue to support your beauty throughout your 30s
and beyond, collagen is the single most important supplement you can take. I'd recommend a
multi-collegin protein protein supplement for that. There's also an herb I recommend so many women
in their 30s struggle with infertility, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, just not having the energy,
and the stamina and some of those things that they would like.
The top herb for that is ashauganda.
Ashwaganda both supports fertility and thyroid health.
And so I'd recommend that herb about 1,000 milligrams a day.
And then cinnamon.
Cinnamon is very good for women because it's a blood builder
and a blood sugar balancer.
And really, when I look at people in their 30s,
what starts to happen even more so
because you start having kids and start having a job
and there's more stress,
is that that will affect insulin and course.
Cortisol. Keeping those two hormones balanced is key. While Aschaganda balances cortisol,
cinnamon balances insulin. So those two herbs in particular are especially beneficial for women
who have a high stress life. So those are some things women that you can do to boost your fertility
in your 30s. For men, if you want to live your best life possible in your 30s, you want to boost testosterone
levels. Now, of course, this is going to support fertility as well. But the most important thing
for men is boosting testosterone.
In fact, testosterone, when it's higher from naturally,
now this doesn't count, by the way,
TRT therapy is not something men in their 20s, 30s, or 40s should really almost ever do.
Almost never.
There are a few cases, like 1%, but almost nobody should do it.
Yet more and more men today are getting testosterone replacement therapy.
When you do that exogenously, which means you're taking it as an injection or you're
taking it from the outside in, what tends to happen is what you become infertile. So your
body doesn't regenerate sperm as well. And if you do it long term and actually very long term,
you can miss a window or it can make you partly infert for part of your life. If you're
taking TRT therapy. Now the good news is there's all natural things men you can do to boost
your testosterone. And you want to have levels ideally over over 500 for men. And so let's
Let me go through some things you can do men to boost testosterone to have your best 30s ever.
By the way, high testosterone is also going to make you feel more masculine.
It's going to boost your energy.
You're going to be actually physically stronger.
You're going to have more self-confidence.
That's huge, actually, in regards to testosterone.
You'll sleep better.
You'll be more attractive to your partner.
All of those happen when you have higher testosterone levels.
So first and foremost, one of the most important supplements you could take is vitamin D.
Vitamin D is critical for good testosterone.
And men you want to typically be over about 50 there when it comes to vitamin D levels.
And you can take 5,000 I use daily.
Another critical nutrient is omega-3 fatty acids.
Now, a lot of men tend to have inflammation over time.
It'll affect their joints and they won't be as active longer in their life.
But once you start getting in your 30s for the first time, you might notice,
maybe some joint issues here and there.
This is where omega-3 fatty acids really help doing about 1,000 to 2,000 milligrams.
a day. For men as well, getting B vitamins, this is really supportive. I would take actually a liver
supplement. So men, you can take a liver or male performance supplement. I like, again, anything
that has organ meats in it. So men getting organ meats as a supplement is very good for testosterone levels,
especially if you take testes. And then zinc is great for men. Zinc is critical for sperm production.
It's critical for tissue repair and regeneration.
And then if you have a history or anyone in your family of heart issues,
Coenzyme Q10 is a fantastic supplement for men.
You can also get that if you consume heart glandular as well for men.
And then a few other supplements men should consider taking.
Protein powder, creatine, turmeric, and fenugreek.
Protein powder and creatine are going to allow you to build more muscle.
And so men, you want to be putting on muscle.
You want to be lifting weights a few days a week, ideally, being out there, being active.
So doing things to put on muscle mass protein powder.
Now, I specifically like doing a combination of a collagen-based protein, like a bone broth protein, one scoop in a morning shake, along with one scoop of something like a plant protein or a grass-fed weight protein or egg.
Raw eggs are great as well.
But doing both collagen-based protein and muscle-building proteins, you want to get about 40 to 50 grams of protein.
first thing in the morning. And what I do is I do berries. I do a little bit of coconut milk,
and I do double protein of the bone broth protein, which is a collagen-based and a plant protein there
to get about 50 grams in the morning. Then I add in creatine as well, just unflavored, just raw
creatine. And then two other herbs you might consider, turmeric is amazing for men.
tumor will reduce systemic inflammation and support blood and heart health for men.
So turmeric is one of the best, 1,000 milligrams daily.
And then fenugreek.
Fenugreek and clinical studies have been shown for men to boost testosterone levels.
So that's one of the best there for men.
And so men in, if you want to just thrive in your 30s from a dietary standpoint,
you want to consume a lot of these supplements that I just shared with you.
And both for men and women, again, really take care of your health.
Oftentimes in the 20s, you know, you might have through college and times in life not taking as good care of your body.
But men and women, you want to be doing a lot of wild organic meat.
You want to be doing a lot of vegetables, a lot of fruits, some clean grains like some rice, some sprouted sourdough bread, some sweet potatoes,
like coconut and avocados.
And men, by the way, doing a few Brazil nuts and walnuts a day are great for testosterone levels.
there as well for women doing some Brazil nuts with some walnuts as well a few days a week
can also support thyroid health. And so those are some things you can start to do there to really
just absolutely thrive in your 30s. Now, another thing you can do to thrive in your 30s is
exercise. And this is where people start in the 30s is when people start to exercise less,
because you get busier with life. Your career starts to take off. You start to have kids. You just
get busier. And so exercise has been shown to improve mental health. It's been shown to fight
conditions like obesity. Now here's the thing. If you don't have time to go to the gym, then just walk.
Walk as much as you can. Get outside. When you're doing a conference call, walk. When you have your
kids around, say, we're going to go on a walk. Get in a family habit of going on walks constantly.
Go on walks with a friend. I know I went to dinner with some guys recently and a buddy of mine and him and I
drove home. And afterwards, after dinner, a lot of times, we'll take a 20 to 30 minute walk and just
keep talking post dinner. But the more you can walk as a couple, as a family, with friends,
the better your health will be. In addition to walking, I do recommend doing some weight training
and then one to two days of cardio a week. So let's say you had three days a week to work out and
you want to maximize your time in the gym. Well, go, let's say, if you went to the gym for about an hour,
or let's say even less, 50 minutes. What I would recommend is that you go and do about 30 to 40 minutes
of weight training. You can do machines, you can do dumbbells, whatever you want to do, but do some
actual things to build larger muscle groups. Ideally, your legs, your butt, your back, really focus
on those. And then, and then core. And then in addition to that, I would end your session. If you do
35, 40, you know, 30 to 45 minutes of weights, then end with 15 minutes of cardio. Now, you could just
do one day a week, you should do more intense cardio. You can go do Tabata training where you go hard
for, let's say about 40 seconds and easy for 20 seconds, or another option is, and that's one minute
intervals, or go really hard for about two minutes or pretty hard and then go very easy for one minute.
But do interval training cardio at the end of your weightlifting sessions statistically and in
the scientific research shows, that is the best combination for
lowering your body fat and reaching your optimal physical appearance and optimal hormone levels
when you do that form of exercise on a regular basis. If you can do that, just exercise three days
a week for 45 minutes at the gym. You'll have amazing health throughout your 30s and just stay
active. Another thing I want to mention just around that when you get in your 30s, I mean,
this is very common in your 20s, but even in your 30s where drinking culture becomes sort of
the thing that people do. Anytime you do anything with other people,
people, it's revolved around drinking.
Now, I want to say, you know, I think having a drink on occasion is okay.
You know, red wine, some cider beer, you know, those things that are, you know, cleaner forms of alcohol on occasion.
Let's say a day a week, a glass or two is absolutely fine for your health for most people.
But if you start drinking daily, it really destroys your health.
It is absolutely toxic.
So over drinking more than one or two glasses or servings.
And again, more than even a couple days a week, it really,
really, really harms your health. And I would also say socially, if you can find a group of people
that are more active, doing, you know, game night. And, you know, like Chelsea and I, we love to do
food nights with friends where we'll have, we'll make, we'll have a theme like Italian night or
Mexican night or Thai night and we'll all potluck and make dishes together. And it's a lot of fun.
We'll do game nights. You know, we love playing cards. We love a board game called Settlers of Catan.
And so we'll do that with couples together on a regular basis.
And then also there's doing trips together.
There's going hiking or backpacking or cycling.
But try and be active with other couples and don't sort of feed into drinking culture.
If it's all about drinking culture, then find a new group of friends.
All right.
Next one here, to thrive in your 30s is establish and prioritize your sleep routine.
This tends to be once you start having children, sleep becomes more difficult.
You want to get more things in and you just don't have the time.
And so you start cutting down on sleep.
Ideally, to have the ideal amount of sleep, you want to sleep for eight hours,
and you want to have 90 minutes of deep sleep and 90 minutes of REM sleep.
Now, I'm wearing something here called an aura ring.
And in this ring, it actually tracks my sleep.
And I can actually see on my phone, I get to see my sleep scores on a regular basis.
Last night I was in the 80s, before that I was in the 90s.
And so, you know, I try and always have at least a B level.
So 80 to 90s, you're scoring a B on your sleep.
90 above, you're having an A on your sleep.
And sleep is when your body heals.
It's when it regenerates.
It allows your brain to recover and heal.
So when you hear REM sleep, that's really allowing your brain to heal and recover.
Deep sleep is allowing your muscles really to recover more so.
And so you want to be getting good sleep,
but getting a good sleep tracker like an aura ring.
In fact, this is the greatest, you know, Christmas gift.
In fact, I bought these for almost everyone,
my family one year for Christmas.
We all use them on a regular basis.
I got someone else one for their birthday.
But aura ring is an amazing tracker.
There's other brands, I think, Woop and some others,
but this is my favorite by far.
So all that being said, but I like it because I believe sleep
is one of the most important metrics you can look at.
And you can see other metrics like your heart rate variability.
it kind of tells you your stress levels.
Getting that up can be important.
So having those markers is incredibly helpful in your 30s
to do that sort of testing on a regular basis.
And so again, in your 30s, if you want to be healthy,
you want to establish a good sleep routine.
You know, because I know when I was in my 20s and Chelsea,
you know, it's like we would go to bed around, you know, 10, 30, 11.
Now we go to bed closer to 9 o'clock because we have kids.
And but we sleep well because we get to bed earlier.
And so you really want to be.
want to continue to try and do that in your 30s. Now the next thing you want to do, and by the way,
this is critical. When you get into your 30s, you need to change your friend group oftentimes.
Because in your 20s, most of the time your focus with your friend group is all about who can you
have fun with. It's all about pleasure. When you get in your 30s, it becomes even more important
that you have a community of purpose. You have a group of people that you want to become like.
Remember this. You become like the five to ten people you spend the most time with.
This is also why your spouse is so important. When you're picking a spouse, you become more like your spouse.
And so you want to do everything you can to find a group of friends that are committed to growth,
growing in character, growing in their skills, doing good in the world, raising great kids with family values.
You want people that prioritize their faith, prioritize their family,
in marriage, prioritize good religious values. And so you want to really focus on pursuing those
sort of relationships. And so think about your 30s as dating. You really want to date in two ways.
You want to date your spouse and pursue your spouse and find a good mate. And you also want to
pursue a friend group in a very similar way that you pursue a spouse. When I was dating Chelsea,
I wrote down all the things I wanted in a wife. I wrote down, I wanted a woman who was
spiritually strong. I wanted a woman who, again, love God, who had a great relationship with her family,
who could turn lemons into lemonade, who had an attitude of gratitude, who was into physical fitness,
so all those things. You should do the same thing with your friend group. What do your ideal
friends look like? Now listen, nobody's perfect. No spouse is perfect. No friend is perfect.
But still write down those sort of people you're going to be spending time with because the reality is,
and I'm curious if this is you, so many people today have.
have friends that are pulling them down.
Here's how to know if you should spend time with somebody.
Would you recommend someone you deeply love like your child?
Would you recommend your child spend time with this person?
Do you think they'd be a really fantastic, incredible influence on your child?
Well, if they wouldn't be a great influence on your child and those you love,
then why would you spend time with them?
So you want to evaluate your friends and on a scale of one to ten rank them and say, okay, this is where they're at.
And listen, and you want to go out and find friends that are a seven out of ten, an eight out of ten, a nine out of ten, a ten out of ten, a ten out of ten in terms of having good character and causing you to grow to become a better person.
Okay.
And you want to then go and find and pursue those relationships, push those other people out of your life and go and focus on creating.
meaningful friendships with people where it's iron sharpens iron you make each other better.
Now here's the other thing. You need to be a great friend as well. If you're going to hang out
with great people, you need to become great yourself and be committed to growing yourself and becoming
that sort of person. And so in your 30s, you want to make friends and also find mentors,
people a little bit older than you. So when you're in your 30s, find somebody in their 40s,
50s, 60s, somebody that can really be mentoring you so you can end up where they are in life
in the near future. It's one of the greatest things you could have.
ever do. So of all the advice I've given, this is probably the most important. Now, if you're saying,
I don't have those people in my life right now, we'll go find them. Go search. One of the best places
to find them is in church groups or to go find other couples you really respect. Let's say you have
one couple you really admire and love, but that's the only couple you're really connected to.
Well, then go find out their friend group, okay? You know, birds of a similar feather flock
together. You want to find, you know, those people and start running around with them. And so again,
check out church groups, check out mastermind groups and entrepreneur groups where people are really
motivated. Philanthropic events, you know, going to charity events. I know that I've gone to
charity events with friends of mine like Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, Dave Ramsey,
you know, Mercy Multiplied with Nancy Alcorn, John and Lisa Bevere are good friends. So I've gone
to their fundraisers and those sort of events and met some amazing people that
are purpose driven as well. And so those are great places to go and find those like-minded people
or those philanthropic fundraisers, those sort of events as well. Church, business groups, as I mentioned,
masterminds are some great places to go to get plugged into those social groups. Now, I want to talk
about a few other areas of focus and the biggest things that people in their 30s start to have
to deal with in life. One of those is financial pressure. I think, and I felt this, you know, when
I hit my 30s and we started having kids, I felt for the first time this pressure to not only provide
for myself, and listen, for myself, I'm like, you know, I could sleep in my car when I was in my
20s. I would stay at random people's houses, you know, just, it was, I was just taking care of me.
Well, then when I got into my 30s and then I got married and started having kids, it was,
well, now I'm not only providing for myself, now I'm providing for my family. And there's a greater
level of financial pressure there. And so just that being said, one is live within your means.
Don't overspend money. Don't get in a lot of debt in your 30s. This happens to a lot of people in
your 30s. You start feeling like, well, you're in your 30s and there are people that are maybe
ahead of you in life or your parents have this big house. And so you feel like, okay, well,
now I need to keep up with the Joneses. I need to get debt, take on a big loan, buy a bigger
house that I need, spend money on the iPhone. We overspend and get in debt. So one of the biggest
things you want to do in your 30s is avoid debt. Don't overspend. Live meagerly, you know,
rent an apartment for a while before you can invest in a home and focus on saving money to the best
of your ability. You know, oftentimes all of these subscriptions we have add up, subscription to Disney Plus,
subscription to Netflix, subscription to this app on TV, you know, and all of these things start to end up.
So you want to go through, cut those, minimize your expenses, save, and start investing into the future you want for your family.
So you can buy the house in the future, and you can start saving up money for your college fund and get ready for retirement.
You want to do those things in your 30s.
And if you have a plan in place financially, it helps.
And also, you want to get great at one thing.
Think about what God has gifted you with.
Maybe you're an accountant.
Maybe you're a teacher, whatever it is.
Look at somebody in your field that makes more money than you and say, what are they doing and model them?
Go and do deep work.
Don't just stay superficial.
Say, I'm going to become excellent and one of the best in the world at this as a teacher, as an accountant, as a musician, as an educator, as a doctor, whatever it is.
Continue to get great at your craft and you'll make more money long term.
You know, develop those skills of, and those character qualities of hard work ethic, giving it 100%, being coachable, go and seek out mentors in life.
In fact, there's a study that found if in your career, if you have a mentor, somebody in your, that's in your part of your business or that you're in, your company, or even outside, it drew, I don't remember the exact number, but it's something like you have a seven times increased risk compared to the average person of getting a raise and making them.
money if you go and pursue and can find a mentor in your career. So that's going to help you
financially. The second thing people tend to focus on as well, and we've covered a lot of things here,
but when it comes to being in your 30s and thriving, it's work-life balance, that was another
thing I felt before. I was just caring for myself when I was in my 20s. Then I get to my 30s,
and it's, oh, I have a spouse. I have to think about someone else outside of me. Oh, now I have
kids and in all the sudden life becomes so much more busy the only way to create work
life balance is to plan and to prioritize you must prioritize and you must say no to the good
so you can only say yes to the great so sit down and write down your biggest
priorities in life when you're in your 30s for me it's my faith it's my family
it's my health and fitness it's a few groups of people so I don't hang out with
everybody I have about five to seven guys that I spend time with
And Chelsea and I have about two to three couples that we really connect with.
And that's it.
And not to say here and there, we don't go to other things, but generally that's really it.
We're very, very focused on work-life balance.
And so Chelsea and I will sit down with our calendars and say, okay, well, hey, what are we doing for our faith life?
Okay, we're going to go to church on Sundays.
We're going to do brunch afterwards.
So we're going to do that.
Okay.
Let's talk about now with our family life.
Okay, well, we want to do these trips this year.
So we plan out those vacations.
Hey, I want to spend this time these days with Arwin.
I'm going to bring her to school one day a week.
You know, I'm going to do this, this.
And so we plan that out.
And then we have our fitness life.
So Chelsea's like, okay, I want to go to the gym two days a week.
And it might be, hey, let's have your mom come over and watch Arwin or maybe I'll watch her one day
a week and kind of do work a little later.
And listen, you have to work around your schedule.
So I'm an entrepreneur.
I can do that.
You might not be able to do that.
But either way, you want to prioritize your faith, your family, your fitness, your finances,
your free time, things you want to do, and just look at your schedule and create.
What is your ideal day look like?
Do you know that right now?
You should know what is an ideal day and week look like for you?
Map that out and do everything you can to prioritize those things and say no to everything else.
Okay.
And that will help create work-life balance for you.
Number three, loneliness.
You know, when I went from having a friend group that was about pleasure to a starting to pursue other people,
It actually took time and I actually felt lonely.
I also realized too that I was growing more as a leader than other people.
And I felt a little bit lonely as I was growing and outpacing growth of the other people around me.
And I don't say that in any way of boasting and with any sort of ego.
I say it just I had a dedication of saying it was really more humility in that I'm not a, like I need to be better.
I need to be more compassionate person.
I need to be more humble.
I need to be a better dad.
I need to prepare myself to be a better spouse.
And so I really focused on growing myself, but that actually became lonely in a way because a lot of other people I was around didn't focus on growing.
And they felt like they were good the way they were.
And so you might go through a period of feeling a little bit of lonely, but no, it won't last long.
You will find those people.
You will find your tribe.
You will find that group of people that are iron sharpens iron for you that love God, that love other people that want to change the world.
and so continue to pursue those people.
You'll find them.
You'll find that friend group.
But again, it can feel a little bit lonely at times, but it'll only be periodic.
You know, keep your eye on the big picture, keep growing.
And then just put yourself out there.
That's the other thing.
You know, I just, I showed up to random church groups, praise and worship at night.
I'd go to random entrepreneurial groups.
So be bold as well in your 30s, in your action, in asking people to help you grow and get ahead in life.
Another area of focus for people in their 30s that's really important is identity.
When you're young, we don't think much about identity.
Well, actually, let me say this.
I didn't think much about identity.
I just thought I want to be successful.
I want to do a lot with my life.
And I want to have fun.
Okay?
When you get in your 30s, you have an identity shift.
You go from being a solo, a lone ranger.
Typically then, to at some point you become now a spouse and oftentimes a parent.
And so that's a core part of your identity.
You're now maybe a provider.
You're now maybe a supporter.
You're now a, you're these things.
And so we want to go and strengthen and realize the great meaning you have in life that's
tied to your identity.
And the next thing here, and I'm going to get into more of that in the minute.
That's going to be my last point is stress and burnout tend to occur for the first time
for people in their 30s.
And this really goes back to the work life balance principle.
Really, you've got to prioritize.
You know where you're going to say yes to.
and say no to everything else.
Okay, so just prioritize
and give yourself a little bit of downtime.
Give yourself time to do the things you love.
Now, here's the last point I want to make
how to absolutely maximize your 30s.
It's really tied to identity
and focusing on growth.
Focus on growing and investing in your family.
I love this quote by Andy Stanley.
Here's what he says.
Your greatest accomplishment
may not be something you do,
but someone you raise.
Your greatest accomplishment,
accomplishment in life might be the child you raised. Listen, Mother Teresa had parents. So did Adolf Hitler.
So what sort of parent are you going to be? You know, there's a saying of many presidents and many
world leaders that was, you know, behind every great man, there's a great woman. Or behind every
great great, great woman, there's a great man. And I found that for my life. I mean, I have such an
amazing supportive spouse who's a 10 out of 10 and who's made me better. And so, and, and
But going back to this, you know, invest in your family.
Here's the thing to know, the greatest thing you can do for your kids is kids model you.
So become someone of great character.
You know, and so when you're loving to your spouse, that's even more impactful than telling your kids to be loving, to be nice to their mom.
When you're nice to their mom, okay, in that way.
So become someone of great character, become a great parent, spouse, leader, friend, a child.
You know, how do you treat your parents?
even if you're in your 30s or 40s or 50s.
If you have parents, your kids will see that.
So invest in your kids.
And the big thing I would say, in your 30s, start really laying out a plan.
Because you're in your 30s, all of a sudden you'll be in your 40s and 50s.
The time just absolutely flies.
So have a long-term plan for your life.
Do you have a plan for when you'll retire?
Have you done the math of looking?
How much should we be saving a month?
How much do you think you'll make now and in five years and in 10 years?
And then when you're in your 50s?
So start creating a strategy.
for strategic planning for maximizing life in your 30s and beyond.
And if you do that, your 30s are going to absolutely rock.
Listen, in your 30s, there is such a shift that happens in life.
It's probably maybe the biggest shift of life is going from your 20s to 30s
to being married and having kids.
And so because of it, your health can suffer.
You can start to lose friendships.
You can start to feel more financial stress, work-life balance.
All of those things start to happen.
if you have a plan and if you prioritize,
it's gonna make all the difference in the world
and you will maximize life in your 30s.
