Dot dumbzone.com.
Go there.
Say what's up.
Go see the British lady in Mansfield.
You think she's the only Brit in Mansfield?
No, unfortunately not.
That's a hotbed?
I think everywhere around here is a hotbed for people from everywhere else.
I'm just going to have to assume it now.
That's a good point.
They everywhere else to my Texas.
Today is Thursday.
I'm sorry, today is our Thursday show.
And what that means is the Ush benchmarks.
It's becoming Uge, Brandon Aubrey.
He has, the man who has had, now has two kids.
And so life at home on his off day from football,
is very hectic and difficult to work in a call.
So he will do it while he's at football every week, I think.
He likes it better at the star because they get a break in the middle of the day.
And so that's lucky for us, lucky for you.
We also have picks, D's picks, we call it,
and those guys will join us after Brandon Aubrey.
So we think Brandon Aubrey in about 10 minutes or so,
then a half hour after that, we'll do some picks.
explosive shoddy audio today.
Yeah, I'm excited to hear it.
You know what?
We could just start with a little.
I mean, it's big.
I feel as if you've got a lot to answer for.
Yeah, I might just thought Ray Stone here.
Bless up.
I wish that guy was there.
Make a fake one.
You really could.
AI Ray Stone.
Ted would beat my ass so bad.
Was his consciousness uploaded into the cloud?
I mean, I got a lot of his audio.
Does Ray Stone live?
on? Will we live on, actually? Because even if our consciousness isn't uploaded and we can't
still feel it, do we kind of live on with AI? Future AI. This show will just keep going.
I think that's the idea, yeah. Coach, you say call you're shoddy, but it appears you're having
a tough time calling the shots, your thoughts. Was that a question? I like it. I want to hear it
because I want to hear some of what he said before we talked to Brandon Aubrey.
Oh, let me mention to here at the top of the show, why are we even working today?
You're like three shows in a row.
If you want to count Sunday's stream, four consecutive days of broadcasting at a very high level is probably a Guinness record of some sort.
I'm waiting for the call from Congress, a medal, perhaps.
But so we're taking tomorrow off. It is a travel day.
We got a flood warning.
Our chief meteorologist Clayton, Kimbrough, has told us that we may just canoe down to Houston.
And we're traveling down to Houston so that Friday we can do a show from three to six,
a later show than we usually do, at 8th Wonder Brewery and Cannabis.
You nailed that.
So please join us.
I mean, if you're in Houston and stuff, you don't have to drive.
You don't have to drive, but if you're driving down there anyway.
You know, so, you know, we're looking for the Houston ladies, a couple of the honeies out there.
Honeys, yeah.
The backstage betties.
I do appreciate that everyone plays their role, though.
Henry's here to tell me, you know, what porn star hit 2 million on only fans this month,
and Clayton's like, there might be some rain out there.
Henry told us yesterday, because I was really excited because at night we take the
boys out, the dogs, and then we go get the mail.
And I was excited to go to get the mail last night because Henry told us we hit
10,000 on Instagram.
How much was the check?
I think it's late.
There must be some kind of a flood delay with the Instagram check.
Okay.
You get to use it.
But it's coming, right?
In your afterlife.
Henry said it's coming.
Your AI afterlife, you'll get all the bucks and all your coins.
Well, I already bought, I spent 200 grand on a simulated house years, a few years ago.
Remember when they were selling those?
You did get a nice piece, a nice parcel.
They were selling real estate online.
Do you remember like the fake houses?
Metaverse.
Yeah.
I tried to buy, I tried to set us up a studio in the Metaverse.
Dan has Oceanfront property.
I just want to be clear that Dan looks at Instagram and is like, this is fake.
Also, I need to make sure that this wide receiver gets all of his coins collected.
this Sunday for my, my championship for his,
don't blame him for Kevin Turner's leagues.
For his field day that happens every Sunday.
That's what fantasy is.
It's field day.
Well, no, don't, I'm not going to take your fantasy slander.
Now, all these other things I'm in that I keep losing and I'm falling out of, the knockouts.
But fantasy, I got a feed.
The action is the juice guys are sending us the audio feed before we post it.
Oh, wow.
So I can get a jump on a couple guys in my league.
That's excellent.
This is basically just how government works.
So I got up real early today.
It's 100%.
And listen to The Action is the Juice from last night.
It's on our YouTube page.
I don't know if it's on our podcast feed yet.
We start hearing like by week seven, there's like a dress, like a real, Dan trying to do Mike Marshall's voice, changing players names in the fee.
Oh, yeah, I could do that.
I could do that.
Anyway, no, no, I'm really into fantasy right now.
So you can sticks and stones me all you want on that one.
You can't win.
You can't win.
You will not win trying to knock down fantasy.
Me and, I don't know, 2 billion other people in the industry or the dollars in the industry.
I guess if you don't like fantasy.
We like Alec Pierce.
He's one of the good ones.
If you don't like fantasy, it's like not liking porn.
Right?
I mean, that's fantasy.
It's not real.
That's real.
You don't really
She's into me.
Wonder if the sister-in-law is going to...
Anyway.
She just got in that van?
We're at eighth wonder tomorrow.
Eighth Wonder tomorrow.
Friday.
It feels like tomorrow.
You know how it is.
I know how it is.
Alert us when Brandon does show up.
Brendan, Brendan.
That wasn't the alert that he's showing up, right?
That was just alerting me that you...
That was the light.
Say yes, I do know that I will alert you.
Because I would like to do a real quick little check of Instagram.
It's kind of like today and Twitter.
I think we have time for this, right, Jake?
Okay.
And I want it to be, is this okay?
I just want to make sure we get a little shoddy before Brandon.
Oh, you'd rather do that?
Okay.
I just don't want to say anything.
Well, speaking of Instagram, then I'd like to plug Parlay.
That is our, our, our, our,
marketing firm. Really? Would we call it that? I think that's what they call it.
What's the Parlay Collective? Tell people about the Parlay Collective and I'll prep my, I'll get
a little shoddy ready. They will help you get the word out about your business. So maybe you're
entrepreneurial. You'd like to start a business. There's a lot of materials that you're going
to need to disseminate that maybe you're not thinking about. Or maybe you are and need someone to do it,
like a sales deck or flyers, these sorts of things. If you want it to look good, you want a professional
doing it. Parlay Collective is and are those pros.
Parlaycollective.com, manage execution across websites, blogs, newsletters, social media.
They'll do the stuff, frankly, Henry, the stuff that you need a woman to do for your company.
And you're like, I don't know any women or 22-year-old males.
Parlaycollective.com.
If you're a brand, you're trying to get a brand going, maybe a band, these things of this nature, parlaycollective.com.
Help you spread the word.
Men can do the work, too.
Not as well.
Okay, so here's just how the shoddy press conference led off yesterday.
There's some real explosive stuff in here.
We're probably going to save some of it for after Brandon and Dee's picks,
so just throughout the show.
But viral stuff, things are going viral,
but this is how he started the press conference yesterday.
I heard I heard.
We're always lighthearted.
In that case, Joe.
Joe Hoy, Dallas Morning News.
Obviously, you guys are into action after action reports.
How did that process go with that with the last 28 seconds from that game?
And what's your biggest takeaway in reviewing that?
Well, I didn't do very good in the last 28 seconds.
I think when you talk about finishing the game,
which I really think you look at our two games that we've lost,
Joe, we haven't finished.
And I was a big part of this one.
Like I said, I talked about after the game,
I felt like I overcoached DAC on third down, kind of affected his decision making a little bit,
and then I let that kind of bleed over to my decision about kicking the ball.
My dad had a rule one play at a time.
He talked a lot about because it happened to him.
He made a decision on a play.
It didn't go good.
He was pissed off about it, and it affected another decision,
and I think that's kind of what happened to me.
So I'll take accountability for it.
It's football and life.
It's what happens.
But I heard our chance to win that game.
And I'll be better.
And I'm better than that.
I'm better than I performed in the last 28 seconds.
So that's a quick synopsis of just...
Yeah, that's pretty...
Everything that went on.
But he...
You know, he's even talking about the bang it out of the end zone directive
that he's saying he was emotional.
He was mad about the previous play.
It didn't go the way he wanted.
and he made a whether it's a quick decision.
He would go on throughout this press conference
just to say, I need better communication with Nick,
so whether it was he just like, I don't want to deal with it,
and then Nick made the call or, you know, a special teams coach.
Captain Sorensen.
So that, I don't know, that's pretty, I don't hear that.
You don't usually hear that.
That honesty?
It's kind of, yeah, and it's, I mean, it's,
whamming about the end of the game. Again, you don't know what's going to happen in overtime.
But he is talking there. I took the most away from that is the fact that he didn't consciously say, yes, I think the good move would be to kick it out of the end zone.
Because he did say, like bullets were flying, emotions were high, I didn't, I made another mistake on top of the, because of the other mistake I made.
Right.
I then made that mistake. That's why, because it was in my head and I wasn't thinking.
Sure. The purpose of mentioning that lesson from his dad is that. Okay.
So I thought that was a pretty big deal.
Do you want more on the DAC part of it?
Because this is also pretty much what's standing out is that the DAC play call.
He said he told DAC like, well, let's see if it gets.
Start at some of the DAP back on DAC with that final play.
If you had it to do over again, would you not?
plant the seed of throwing it away or do you feel like you have to plant that seat or throwing it away?
So that's where he kept saying I overcoached him. I said something to him.
No, no, I trust that. This has got nothing to do with trust. This has got to do with everything that was going on.
And, you know, again, the, you know, Terrence deal comes out. Broderick goes in and you're like, okay, we need the points.
At that point's third and seven. But I trust Dak Prescott completely. So it was the word that I chose, which I'm not going to give away.
The words that we say have meaning. And when I said the word, it put him into a little.
mindset that he doesn't play with. He doesn't play that way. He doesn't play the game that way.
And so that's what I would change. So, well, let's see. I had this mark till 10.40.
Oh, okay. You feel pretty good about back trusting you in the wake of it. You said you trust
him. I hope so. I mean, he's thrown interceptions before and I still trust him. So if I make a
mistake, I hope he trusts me because I've made a lot of really good decisions too.
Really? That's a really rich thing to say. I'm
kind of floored right now.
That's the sort of thing you say, I would think,
when things are going poorly.
But they're not really.
He's, yeah.
No.
We can get back to it.
No, but that's kind of the viral clip out there right now.
But, uh, yeah, shoddy.
A lot to say yesterday.
Uh, everybody's talking, including, uh, kickers on the Dallas Cowboys.
We welcome one now to this program.
a gas.
Homie kick it off the turf.
Papa kick it off the grass.
Community Mechanical.
Make a little blue baby, baby buckle.
Aubrey Show.
Hey, man.
What's up, guys?
So Travis at Community Mechanical, you're familiar with his work, right?
And him?
Yep.
Large man.
Yeah.
I don't know if he likes that description.
He does, because he lifts up those AC units.
He looks on.
him himself.
I don't know what player on the team.
You would say he most resembles body type?
Tyler Smith.
He's lost some weight.
Maybe Tyler Guyton.
Maybe Guyton.
You might be able to move him a little more, but he's a big man.
He's not an elite DFW high school basketball player.
No.
No, no, no.
You move him to the block.
Think of Turpin and think what is the opposite of this?
That's fair.
Anyway, I think he might, I might be ruining his surprise for you.
But he gave this, he gave this to me Sunday because he said I had, I had one of these made and then they had a deal.
And so that I got two of them made.
And he gave one to me.
It is a necklace.
It's a necklace, my man.
What do you call this?
It's a chain.
This is a, you know, it's hilarious.
Go ahead.
My mom has one of those.
She has a Brandon Aubrey.
She does.
She loves it.
A chain, bling.
It's whatever this.
This one, though, is real diamonds.
This right here costs $7 million.
Wow.
That's a damn lot.
Yeah, that's all those.
All those preventative maintenance contracts.
Yeah, I'll be wearing this.
I didn't wear it for the whole game and that's what was the problem, I believe.
Yep.
Like, no one even asked Shottie about that at all.
So it's reporters.
doing a bad job once again.
How was the trip?
Obviously, we'll get into the game and stuff, but just the trip overall.
Yeah, it was, it was smoother than I thought it would be.
The way they were talking about it before we left, felt like we're going to an active
war zone with all the security protocols we were going through.
So we got there.
We were safe the whole time.
We had some really badass-looking Brazilian security guards every three rooms in the hotel,
So like probably 20 or 30 of them.
Scary looking guys, but they're on our side.
So that's a good thing.
And it never really felt unsafe.
The stadium atmosphere was incredible.
You know, it reminds me a lot of just wishing to be on a national soccer team
and playing in stadiums like that where you come in.
And I know it's an American sport, but they're booing the American national anthem pretty hard.
And then at the top of their lungs for their own national anthem,
which they would boo any national anthem, they're doing any national anthem.
that's not theirs, which they should.
So it's pretty cool experience.
And the Brazilian fans, it's kind of a weird thing.
They were mostly just cheering for big plays.
Didn't really feel like one team or the other had more support.
Just like, oh, that's a really cool play.
And they're cheering.
So not a true home game for us, obviously, since we're 10-hour flight away.
But it was good.
The food was incredible at our hotel.
The hotel staff did a great job taking care of.
us and you know we didn't really get a chance to go explore any of the of the country but um
when we were driving from hotel to training and then from hotel to stadium it was quite eye-opening
makes you really happy for what you got back here driving you know past the favelas and
seeing the conditions that people are living and out there and still seem to be thriving and
happy. It's like complain a little bit less about being in the United States where we have
all the resources in the world. You sleep on the plane? I did. You kind of have to leave at
nine and land at eight. And if you don't sleep there, you're going to go without any sleep. And
the same for the way back. So you had to sleep on the plane. And it helps. It's, it's late.
You're tired. Just played a game. So, yeah, it wasn't too hard to sleep on the way home. Fallen
sleep on the way there was a little tougher. How's Buffalo?
Buffalo.
Isn't that your NCAA franchise?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Okay, we're good.
We found our way in season two to get invited to the college football playoff.
Okay, big stuff.
LSU at home.
And then somehow Memphis was number one.
That was our second round matchup, and they were all rated 71.
So it blew through that and then got stomped by Georgia at a neutral site in the semifinal.
Now, as the coach of this team, do you oppose or support?
the Protect College Sports Act that
These kids want all these NIL money, you know?
I think it's out of control, really.
No, I actually do wonder, I don't know,
it's become a political issue,
but if you have any thoughts on how all of this should be settled,
it looks like there's a law that's going to have some sort of framework that...
What's got to pass?
Yeah, the first one passes where basically Congress would be in control of college sports.
Yeah, I don't know the details of the bill or what's going on there.
Stay in my lane here.
If I knew more, I would comment on it.
But I don't know anything about it in season with the two young ones.
Yeah, I feel you.
I barely staying above water myself without focusing on other people's issues.
So I'm not really sure what's going on there.
It does seem like some sort of rules or something needs to change just to control the chaos.
You know, it's better for the players now that it's ever been.
So I'm sure something's going to be taken away from the players.
And hopefully they get some compensation in return.
A little bit of stability would be nice.
Well, speaking of your world.
I just want to know when we're getting to live in all pair.
Oh, gosh.
Isn't that a word for nanny?
That is.
The night.
The night.
The night nurse.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, funny, funny story.
when I was gone, you know, the kids both got sick and Jen got sick.
So coming home to an exhausted household.
So that's another reason I needed to sleep on that plane.
Yeah, so it was a rough trip for them more so than it was for me.
So we talked to you last week about the dirty kicks and about the process involved,
the global sort of approach to how this is going to work out.
You guys go into week four with your opponents averaging the fourth war.
worst average starting field position after a kickoff.
So part of that is some of them have gone out of bounds.
And it became a topic this week.
So I know you're just there to do your job.
But I know in my job, sometimes it's frustrating when it feels like the people,
and maybe in life that are watching whatever you're like,
that you don't, that's not an accident.
That's not a mistake.
That's part of, that's related to the good ones before.
I don't know if it's frustrating, but it doesn't seem like the general audience understands.
what you guys are doing, even like the national broadcasters.
Yeah.
The dirty balls, there's only one that was poor.
It was the second one that went out of bounds, pulled it a little bit, and it was left.
And, you know, it's a football, so it could balance any possible direction when it hits the ground,
especially the way they're traveling.
But that one was too close to the sideline.
It's a higher chance of going out of bounds than not.
But the first one, you know, it landed in play, like, at the numbers and bounced over
the head of the returner who's trying to field it, just can't quite get it. So like, that's great.
And then it's bouncing towards the end zone. And instead of, you know, kicking a little bit right,
it kicks a little bit left and goes out of bounds at one or half yard line. But we like that.
I mean, we still average 29 yard line drive start for them, which we, for reference,
them just kicking touchbacks to us. We're at the 35. So we won that phase of the game.
We're really happy with it. We're not changing anything. I'm going to keep pushing forward.
I'll make some minor adjustments as we go forward to keep them, you know, a little bit further away from the sidelines.
So the range of bounces are more favorable for us.
But yeah, this is also the third game that I've tried this.
So there's going to be adjustments all along along the way.
And we think it's a weapon that we're going to continue to utilize.
Yeah, I was because I went through and I took the last kick out because you just banged it through the end zone.
and so it would be a 28-yard field position, 168.
The average started field position divided by six.
You had seven of those kicks, two went out of bounds.
But yeah, and then that last kick,
we were talking about this on Monday because we heard,
we got to defend our little buddy.
Just, you know, heard some people,
maybe this means like Twitter.
So it doesn't even mean much, but it so heard some people.
people is, hey, Brandon Aubrey messed that last kick up.
He shouldn't have banged it through the end zone.
And I said on the show, maybe you can correct me.
I said, Brandon Aubrey doesn't make that decision.
Someone is saying what to do on this kick.
Tell me if I'm wrong or correct.
You're correct.
I don't call shots on kickoff.
I just execute.
And, yeah, I like the call at the time.
It's fun to blast it out the back of the end zone.
and particularly good at it.
So I like doing that.
I'm not going to argue anything,
especially in a critical moment like that.
There's guys that jobs are to do that sort of thing,
and they get paid well to do it,
and they've thought about it for a long time.
So whatever their decision-making process is on it,
they've come to out the decision,
and I'm going to do my best to execute what they're asking me to do.
And then I know it's air quotes, an easy one,
but things can go awry,
things can be missed.
What's in your mind as you're going out there for a game tying field goal?
That was a huge kick, obviously.
Yeah, I'd say from up there, it's a lot easier.
I was telling Trenton Banger after it, this is my first experience with one way up there to
go tie it.
And it's a lot calmer of experience than going back from 64 or even like mid-range 40s.
just because the rate of success is so high that, like,
I'm 100% confident on making that kick versus 46.
Like, if I do something a little bit wrong, it'll miss.
So it was just significantly less stressful for me up there than it is from,
even a little bit further back.
So I didn't feel too much stress on that one,
which I don't know if is a great thing, but whatever, we got it done.
We got it through the uprights.
It was a good kick pretty much right down the middle.
So yeah, no stress for me on that one.
Typically, you can see them coming from a mile away.
That one was a little bit more of a roller coaster.
It felt like, okay, we're going to have a minute, 30 seconds.
So we'll probably have a deep kick here because we're going to try and probably bleed the clock down as much as possible.
And get the kick or sport a touchdown.
So you know, okay, we're going to use timeouts.
They might use their timeouts if the situation starts getting to where it's obvious that we're going to be able to bleed the whole clock.
So just trying to stay ready.
You can see it coming from a while away.
And then as soon as we get close, starting to think about, oh, we could just win this game here, get a touchdown.
And then my extra point becomes important because it seals the win.
But it's not like game breaking to miss it.
So at that point, like, you know, starting to feel a little more comfortable.
Then it starts to become a little bit more clear after the fall start that, okay, we're not in the end zone yet.
So we're going to have to stay mentally locked in.
So we're staying mentally locked in.
And then the field goal comes.
We put it through and I think, okay, now I've got to start preparing for a game-winning field goal in overtime or another game tire in overtime.
Because either way, you're kicking an overtime, it's really important.
So trying to stay ready for that.
And then kind of don't get to get to that moment, which is a frustrating one for us.
Yeah, that must have been just, I mean, I'm knowing the room.
We were doing the stream from high top of my garage.
and that we were all like, oh, well, you know, because mentally we're all prepared.
Oh, okay, obviously, this will go to overtime now.
Let's kind of get ready.
Go to the bathroom.
And then it's over.
So I can't imagine what your sideline was like.
Yeah, devastated.
Just in disbelief felt like we could have won that game in a number of ways in the last two minutes.
And we just failed as a unit.
and we need to be better.
We need to learn from that.
We can't make that a habit.
When you have a good team in a situation like that, you have to beat them.
And every single playoff game in this league seems to come down to something like that.
So if we just put ourselves in those situations against good teams, we're in a good spot,
that means we're a good team as well.
So we want to be in those situations and we want to win them, obviously.
But now we have firsthand experience there and we can draw on it.
everyone will learn in their own position and get a little bit better at it.
And that's support staff, coaching staff, players.
All of us have something to take away there and work on and look forward to the next opportunity like that.
How was that Brazil turf that we heard so much about previous to the game?
Did you bring some home?
No.
It wasn't terrible.
The grass looked a lot worse than it was.
the surface underneath the grass held up really well.
So that kind of covered for the grass.
It wasn't sandy.
It was pretty clay, pretty like firm clay.
So my plant stuck really well, almost too well.
And the grass, whether it was there or not,
I think you could have played a football game on it,
even if you just shaved all the grass off and said,
go play on this surface.
It would have been fine.
So a quick question on the, you, you, the kid,
The kickoff.
Like, so there's obviously a guy wearing a green dot on offense and defense with special teams.
Every call is being made on the sideline, I assume.
Is it just the coach, the 11 guys that are going to be there, the calls in the TV timeout.
You're probably very aware that some are some of them longer, some of them not, right, because of TV.
Yeah, they got a clock if you ever in a TV timeout.
Not in Brazil, but we look at, I'm sure Blake looks at the same guy, but there's some guy with some orange gloves out there.
Orange sleeves.
My man.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's where I'm drawing my key from when I'm getting ready to go.
And also, like, the reps communicate with us if we need to get going.
Okay.
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
But since it's not a down, there's not down after down after down.
It's one play.
Does the, in this case, Sorensen, is he calling that play like right when you guys get over there and the rest of the TV timeout?
You're, it's said.
But I guess what I'm trying to get at is you see cases in offense and defense where the play call comes in late.
That seems like it would never happen in special teams because the time is fixed.
Okay.
Yep.
Yeah.
So you typically...
It's called in the big huddle.
Then we run out there.
Yeah.
Okay.
You typically know off the foot whether most of your field goals are good or not.
Was your 59-yard are going to be good?
It was, yeah, it was perfect.
It's hard to say it was I crushed that ball.
Is it going on the ledger as a missed field goal?
Yeah, it's a miss.
It's the first one of the year.
It's not the first time.
first miss has been a block. But, you know, it is still a little bit on us as specialists there
because it looks like they're keying off of our routine there, that being me, banger, and
Trent. So we've got to do our best to vary that, but also we need to block better. So, like,
there's things that can be changed and controlled by a specialist, not given keys like that.
and then for the guys blocking,
they're going to get beat sometimes,
and it's on us to beat them with opt-time
and not helping when they have that key there.
So the inside rush, getting home is almost impossible to beat with opt-time.
So we should have me better.
There's nothing more to say there.
Back to dirty kicks, not dealing with you, though.
Have we talked about, like, I was reading an article about the Eagles,
and the Falcons and their kickoff.
You see what the –
We haven't talked about it.
No, I'm aware of what the Eagles are doing.
And they got pushed on to a T this week.
I feel like the league is talking about it if I'm up to date there.
But it's not the spirit of the rule.
I think the Eagles understand that it's not the spirit of the rule.
Well, let's reset.
Let's reset for those who don't know what it is.
What are the Eagles doing?
They're bringing on their punter to hold the –
the ball, a 12th man onto the field for kickoff to hold the ball at a specific angle that makes
hitting the dirty ball significantly easier that you can't achieve with just the T. You can't
get the ball to sit up on the T that way. And the idea of having the 12th man on the field is if
the wind is blowing the ball off the T repetitively, then the holder comes on, kick or kicks it,
then that 12th man has to immediately exit the field. And obviously, the Eagles are just, they start
it off by doing it holding the ball on the ground without a T, which is a gray area that didn't
really know if that was allowed or not, but there was a little bit of talk about it.
And then they came out this week with the same setup with 12 men on the field, even though
the wind's not blowing the ball off.
And now the punters just holding the ball in the same angle on a T, and they're going from there.
It's not what the rules intended to be, but obviously no one's written that.
explicitly into it. And if the wind is blowing the ball over and they want to bring a holder on,
they can hold it like that. So I think they've probably found the spot where it's going to be okay,
pulling the ball in the tea like that. But we'll see what the league says. I'm not sure what,
if they're even looking at it now that they've put it on tea. We'll, we'll see.
Have you experimented with that at all practice? No. I like, I like my setup. It's working. It's working.
And you don't have to endorse this.
You turned down the proposal to do a CD sniff last year.
One of these muffs will be a touchdown.
And I want you to do the, like, you know, right there in the end zone.
Like, hey, you've got to run down the field.
I will be calmly walking to the extra point if that happens.
I always forget.
Yeah.
And that's why I kind of joke that if we ever run a fake where banger or I score or we're on the field for a score, we're going for two afterwards because our mental state is going to be kind of non-reliable at that point.
So you specialists are typically the first out of the locker room.
Did you get to enjoy a little Ricky Martin at have?
Yeah, we got to hear the tail end of it.
I'm not super familiar with Ricky Martin, but it seemed like the crowd was enjoying it.
The acoustics were pretty good.
Crowd seemed ready to party.
Yeah.
They got a good anthem.
Yeah, their anthem's badass.
You were pointing that up the other day.
Sweeping.
Very sock-up.
I mean, it just helps when you have 700, or not 700, 70,000 people singing along with you.
Yeah.
Very cool scene.
And so if I, again, let's go back, a little dirty kick talk.
And you're saying you like that.
Easy, bud.
off of the T, whatever, you're good at it.
You don't need to trick it up a little bit.
You like the way you're doing it.
And I thought in my head it's because you're soccer guy.
Your soccer guy, you've got a little something different.
You've been doing this for a long time.
Did you see the Harry Kane story?
I know he wants to be, or is talking about being a kicker,
but I haven't seen anything, like, specifically.
That is all I'm talking about, really,
is the fact that they're interviewing Harry Kane about his,
He's getting older, all that kind of stuff, and what might you do?
It seems like a thing for European stars now can come over here, make some big money in the MLS and just be an attraction.
Like, hey, let's go see this real famous guy I've heard about all these years.
He's not as good, but he's still good for the MLS, right?
Yeah, absolutely.
I wondered, so now Harry Kane is saying, who knows, maybe I'll just do a little football kicking, NFL.
as if anybody could just do that.
And I wonder, does that offend you at all?
Like, oh, look, any soccer player can just come over here and be a kicker.
No, it doesn't offend me.
He definitely strikes the ball incredibly well.
He's a world-class ball striker.
That's why he's a prolific goal score.
So I don't think there's any reason to believe he wouldn't be able to figure out how to kick a football.
He might underestimate the level of finding a job, the difficulty of finding a job,
the difficulty of finding a job or getting someone to be willing to give him that opportunity.
Because unlike, you know, soccer, baseball, basketball, there's 17 jobs or there's 17 games,
32 jobs. Coaches get fired pretty quickly, especially when you try stuff that is outside of the box.
So it's going to have to be proven one way or the other before someone really gives them a job unless it's, you know, week 16 and team is one and 14.
and their kicker's been really struggling.
And it's like, you know what?
We need a side show for this game.
Let's bring him in.
Other than if that's not going to happen,
then he's going to have to, like,
truly commit himself to the job.
And I'm not saying he can't do it.
I think he probably could,
but it would just be a longer road than he thinks it is.
So you're saying he may have to be willing to live in Cleveland.
Well, Cleveland's got two wins.
It might be like Tampa or something.
Come on.
Don't know.
Tampa.
Why do you have to do that?
Why do you have to hurt?
It worked for the replacement with Nigel Gruff.
You remember him, Blake, the leg?
Of course.
He's the cigarette smoker.
Yeah, you would put it out before he'd run out to bang a one.
Just hold the ball and kick the bloody piss out of it.
I was shown that movie in the USFL in my first season.
I'm like, this is you.
You're like, that doesn't feel like a compliment.
Oh, a bunch of money and get a bookie.
That's funny.
I mean, I've never really asked you about the USFL
times, but I don't know.
Were you living?
There's no way your wife was with you, right?
No.
It was like a combine type.
Yeah, it was a punter, long snapper in a, you know, three bedroom condo.
And the first year was a punner and linebacker.
And then I kind of just thought, maybe all linebackers are crazy.
He's a little bit, probably.
He's a little bit crazy.
But you got to be to play linebackers.
slash safety.
No doubt.
Yeah.
No doubt.
That's probably because you'd never lived with a football player before that, had you?
No.
Soccer players were the own type of crazy.
Just a little bit of it.
Definitely.
Definitely.
Was that USFL?
Did you travel or did everybody play in the same city?
Wasn't there one year they did still play?
Year one, we all played in Birmingham.
Year two, we had four hubs.
Birmingham had two teams.
Memphis had two teams
What was it?
The Hall of Fame Stadium had two teams
And then the fourth one was Michigan
The Ford Stadium or for whatever it's called had two teams as well
But can you imagine just having to live in Birmingham and Memphis all year
Memphis was way worse than Birmingham.
Birmingham was actually pretty nice.
There's some really nice suburbs that we got out to
And there's a couple of nice stretches of downtown that you can go out to
and kind of enjoy it, but there's a lot of dead parts of the city, too.
Nothing like beautiful Canton, if you've ever been to Canton.
It's all part of the dream.
All right, what are we got?
Have you ever played in Houston before?
I've not played in Houston.
To Dome, so excited to go.
We need to win pretty badly, so it'll be, they need to win even worse than us.
So it'll be a fun game.
They're a good team.
I feel like we're a good team.
team.
So it should be a fun one for fans and very important for both teams seasons.
Damn, what are their own three?
Ooh.
Yeah.
They've had a tough opening stretch of games for sure.
All right, man.
Well, we appreciate you making time on a busy day.
We'll check in next week.
Sounds good.
Adios.
Thanks, man.
There's Brandon Aubrey.
Thanks to our friends at Community Mechanical.
for sponsoring the Brandon Aubrey show all year long.
CommunityDFW.com or 4696677290.
All right.
We were in the middle of playing shoddy audio,
but I think that we almost might be ready for some D's picks.
Yes?
No?
We're getting a shaking of a head.
What was your Instagram story?
It was Sutton.
Do we have time?
We can lead into a lot of boys join.
You want to do that?
T.C. joins us a little early here.
There's a guy who just cares about the clock.
Set your watch to it.
That's right.
Look at TC.
That's all you think of.
I love the show.
There's a guy who's just all together.
What time's first pitch today?
Four o'clock.
Yeah, that may negate our plans tomorrow, Dan.
So if the White Sox win, there's no game tomorrow.
Correct.
Which will really help making sure intern Henry has a hotel room to himself.
I was talking to the hotel guy yesterday.
He's like, I don't know.
The Astros in the playoffs.
It's a big deal.
I'm watching the rooms go down as we speak.
Hurry up, send the email.
So, anyway.
I'm sure.
We're all rooting for those white socks anyway, right?
We don't like those Astros.
F them.
Yeah.
I'm sure there's like a local hostel.
You ever been,
you ever done that in America?
You can do it.
Really?
Whatever I heard.
25 bucks.
So YMCA?
I thought it would be a great bit if you put him in the holiday in like a mile away from us.
Just put him in Fifth Ward or something.
Or a mile away from it.
Our next great bit was going to be.
on your floor.
Yeah, no, I assume that was also in play.
You say that's a great bit, but what I learned on that date with Akash for those dates,
that's just how it is, dude.
Big man staying in the place where the NBA players stay?
I think that's kind of fun.
And he's going to pay for the rest of the crew to stay somewhere,
but it's not at the place that the Thunder stay at.
No, it's a regular hotel.
And they'll joke about it, but it is what it is.
So, yeah.
Jokey about it makes it all right.
A free room at the Hilton Garden.
But TC went holiday in.
I wanted hostile.
I want him to have an experience.
I want to put a GoPro on him.
What did Mitch Album do?
He was homeless for a night or something?
Yeah, four hours.
The YMCA, do they still do that?
Yes, in some places they do.
You can rent a room at the YMCA?
To my knowledge, there's places.
Or things like the YMCA, yes.
I think Henry's got it in him.
Like, he can deal with that.
He's young.
comes out dancing.
Yeah, he might love it.
He's had trouble finding love.
Maybe he just hasn't been looking in the right place.
That's right.
He's going to make a great boyfriend.
Okay, so last week, week two of the NFL season, the Cowboys had a home game.
And we've talked about this before, but Shottie's family is very online.
His wife is very online.
Great.
She has an Instagram account where she posts a lot, and it's a specific type of posting.
It's like a rich Southern white lady type of post.
It's a lot of cursive.
I don't know.
Just there.
But the son...
A lot of living, laughing.
Yeah.
And the son is a lot like the two people that we heard interview Gemma and Brian Schottenheimer,
those twins that have a podcast.
They're like their son, Sutton Schottenheimer, who wants to be an influencer.
So this truly is an upscale version of, you know, sowed it, groat, bloated here.
where, again, Marty was like a tough as nails football coach, you know.
He was probably living on, in the YMCA, 18 hours a day at the office.
Brian's life's a little different, you know?
Still got to go to the office for 12 hours a day, but he, you know,
he's got a second house where he goes after a long night of watching film.
His son does game day recaps on Instagram.
And I feel like we can just watch it and react to it.
and you'll know what you're getting pretty quick here.
This is the one from Brazil, actually.
So what are you now here?
It's good to pause throughout this, I think.
This one's quick.
This is from this weekend.
This is them watching the game.
Okay.
It has him in a very posh living room or whatever, big screen TV.
That living room looks like how I think they probably cook their chicken.
Like, could we get an ounce?
of seasoning. You either have to pick
porno and go full white,
which is not the motif they're looking for here,
or get a little bit of color in there.
Something. Not good.
Not good. That living room
has no ass.
It doesn't look as nice as I would think.
It's nice, but I imagined larger.
I also think it's his place.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've unfortunately done some...
Yeah, this is a 20-year-old kid.
He goes to, like, SMU or something.
This is like the nicest...
Yeah.
Like, that it's...
Especially...
Think of where you were living at 20.
Yeah.
We looked about like that.
But I think to T.C.'s point, they're at his place, not moms.
She came over.
Okay, so the text on the screen says POV, dad's coaching 5,000 miles away.
What does that even mean?
We've lost the command of the language.
And I'm not saying I'm helping, but that's not what, what is the POV?
Is you standing watching TV?
That's the point of view.
But it's not their POV because you're looking at them.
You're looking at them.
But this is the same stuff that you guys do, though.
This is like this was a proven trend where people, consultants that were brought in,
the Kent of whoever's managing this channel, told him, hey, you will get extra views
if he put POV on top of it, which is like a proven effective thing.
And so everyone does it.
And it's so far ago that it stopped meaning anything.
Okay.
Logically, because Blake's like, Blake likes to search female POV.
So when he doesn't get the thing right in his face, he's like, oh, man, this is not what I sign up for.
Right.
And we can bring our friends on here.
I'm confused because there are two Sutton-Shottnheimer accounts.
They're both him.
It's just that one of them is like his lifestyle and wellness creator account, and the other one is just where he's just being him.
This one we just saw, then he high-fives or like Eiffel Tower-type double high-five with his.
His mom? That's his mom in the living room?
Yeah, I think so.
Okay.
What is this decoration for a 20-year-old?
I guess it could be his sister. It could be his sister.
You can't tell from there.
This is a pottery barn young adult.
Big time.
Who did you know?
Like, would you be friends with someone if you walked in at that age and their house was decorated this way?
Some other human did it for him, though.
Yeah, but no, yeah, no dudes are putting two candles in the middle of the table.
No, I...
Candolite chandelier.
We were like, chandelier.
Trying not to drink the dip cup at 20.
There's just putting out cigarettes everywhere.
That's for times.
That's bad.
I mean, seriously, folks.
You know, cloud.
Let's watch the one, the longer one.
He put together like a full montage from week two.
This is like game day.
It says NFL game day.
Ben the day.
We stopped out of bed bright and early.
We were ready to go.
Got ready for the day and headed down the L.
They filmed themselves getting out of bed.
They walked over to Cowboy Fit to go get a quick workout in.
This is great.
She was working out too and got a quick pump.
Look at where they're a quick pump.
They get to work out there.
For breakfast, had a quick grub because we were starving.
And then my mom got their hair done.
I had to go pick up my cousin Gracie because she was getting her hair done.
No, this is the Cowboys.
No, I mean, you don't have to pause it.
I just want to stop watching this.
I had no idea what it's going to wear.
His outfit.
He's out of trying to find me figured it out.
And then we headed onto the stern.
A party box.
Is it O-O-T-D.
Let's go ahead and get the champagne out before the game.
We went under the stadium and headed down to the field,
where we hung out for a little bit, saw a bunch of people and talked to some old friends,
saw the team, of course, my dad, and they headed up to the suite.
What happened then?
Of course, get the food.
Here's the new menu.
It's awesome.
I went straight for the fajitos.
I got some churros as well, and then watched the game, of course.
And then we were viving.
So here, Sassy playing with life, I don't know what's going on.
We're all right.
It was doing some crazy.
Anyway, got some dessert.
Of course, I had to dive into that.
Brandon got the ice cream.
It was so good, though, guys.
If you work hard.
talking on two times.
Ooh.
More mac and cheese,
fajitas, all the good thing.
And then we, of course,
once we had to get a little celebration dance,
and they were meeting on theirs.
It's so quick head.
Everything is a half a second,
so it's hard to sit and describe this video for you.
But it's...
Again, it's one second of jumping out of bed.
It's one second of his outfit.
It's one second of the party bus.
It's one second of him holding champagne.
Like you guys, not me,
because I'm a staunch supporter.
like you guys, his family cannot believe that this is happening.
So they're like, we're going to have a holiday-level party.
It's when Bones was interim head coach, but then they gave it to him forever.
Just get it.
Do you remember Bones' interim head coach on Hard Knocks?
Yeah.
He had his whole family.
Like, he knew no one's ever going to do this again.
I got to get as many pictures as I can.
Like, bring grandma down here.
It's like everything.
So I can document that I was once a head coach in the NFL.
It's week two, my man.
Week two.
It is amazing.
And I think I predicted something on the show that I now will rescind.
You're nothing if not accountable.
All of my triple plays, I'd like to rescind those and turn them around.
And I actually have nine extra wins this year.
But the other thing is I think I once predicted shoddy son will probably be on his staff someday.
That's now out the window.
Nope.
His son does not have, I'm going to sleep at the facility to get this right, you know, make sure their footwork is, you know.
Some of those other dudes might.
The Jones boys might.
I mean, they've got dudes who have put in, they put pads on, they've put in time, his family.
Just looking at Shottie and the son and that pump, okay, you put a pump on.
No, no, no.
If that's your pump, I don't know that you can yell at a 320-pound man and make him do anything.
What does Sutton's son end up looking like?
Is he going even further down the path, or is he like a CLTM operator?
Oh, that's a good question.
Interesting.
Yeah, often you will go the other way.
Give me Spalding over Sutton.
No, no doubt.
Spalding.
Whoever thought we could ever get here.
We're a year away from us paying for a week, a weekly with Spalding.
Please.
All right.
Before we get into the open and everything, D's picks will be brought to us by Fairly.
lease.org.
Nice.
The official vehicle provider of Brandon Aubrey.
Brandon hooked up with Fairlease.
Yeah, he gets a vehicle from them right now.
You can as well.
They have a hotline just for listeners of the Dumb Zone.
972-705-4815.
Connor and Nick are our guys over there that will talk to the Dumb Zone listener.
Maybe you're in a bad lease.
You want to get out of it, and you're thinking, I don't know if I can get out of it.
why don't you at least place the call to Fairlease?
Tell them you're a dumb zone listener and see if there's anything they can do with you.
They're not in this with tricks and traps.
They're straightforward, straight shooters at Fairlease.org.
It is 972-705-4815.
Make it a triple play with Fairlease.
Ooh, nice.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages.
It is time for these kids.
Yes, indeed.
Here they are.
We have T.C. Fleming in studio.
Prepping for Houston, have you packed yet?
Absolutely not.
Okay.
We have Mike Soroy.
Great dude.
Wonderful teammate.
All right.
And we have Kevin K.T. Turner.
He's here to negotiate the draft.
Come in this house.
Speaking of negotiation, can we add a punishment?
the losing team has to watch that
Shotty's kid video 500
times in a row without stopping.
Clockwork orange. I'll do that anyway.
You can stop before 500
if you memorize it all
and can recite it from memory.
Ooh, that's a good one.
That's incredible.
That feels like Geneva Convention
illegal. It does. That's torture.
That's great. I might just work
on that anyway. This is pretty out there.
I'd rather you waterboard me.
So, you know,
Last week, T.C. and I were talking to a guy who works in criminal psychology, and he confirms something we talked about before.
Personally, I feel like there's a bit better payoff in this, but they have, like, if you're a sex offender.
Oh, yeah.
They have, like, stipulations as part of your probation that you have to go to a place and they, like, hook your junk up to a thing and, like, they, like, play stuff and see how you react.
Is the show version?
We just show you in a range of more and more effeminate guys.
And you're like, dude, see where it.
So do they want to make sure you're not going to get erect if you're looking at a kid or something?
It doesn't have to be kids.
I was going to say, like, that's their gateway end of seeing more child porn is by, hey, make sure.
I get to go do that once a month now.
I don't know how it all works.
I'm just telling you.
I immediately thought this is, like, you've heard about guys going and get their T-level checked,
and that's how they do their draft order.
Like, you have to go in and watch Mail-on-Mail action
and hooked up to this machine.
We have to do that with Game Day next year.
That's a good idea.
None of these guys are jumping at this.
They all seem very concerned about a boner test.
Before we begin here.
No, not for me.
No.
Before we begin.
Yeah.
And we'll look at the standings in last week.
all the fun. Does anyone want to get something off their chest?
Cleveland Steamer? Does anyone have anything that they want to admit to the group?
Last week. Is there anyone been telling fibs?
When I came in with a black eye and my face was all smashed up and I said I hit it with my door,
it wasn't my door, it was my wife's boyfriend. Okay, that's obviously comedy.
He laid one on me thick. Because I know that's comedy because I do.
did not hit you.
I actually did go to Angela's birthday party and we did have a threesome.
I don't believe that.
I believe you're also trying.
Trying comedy there because I was at Angela's birthday party.
You were not there.
T.C.
I'd like to get out in front of the fact that I've been doing too damn good.
Too good at the pics.
Sorry, guys.
Apologize to everyone.
A great regret is inviting T.C.
into this whole thing this year.
As always.
Anyone?
No?
It wasn't
Parkinson's that took out Mr. Belding.
It was my Honda Accord.
Leave him out of this.
I don't go to Waterburger every day.
What?
I got a whole bag.
Mike?
What?
I had a feeling this was coming by.
I don't know.
What do you got?
What do you mean you got a feeling?
About what?
Because you went around the horn
and you did me laugh.
I didn't.
Everybody else jumped in.
They had some comedy,
and you don't seem to be saying anything,
and it makes me wonder why.
I'm under the weather.
I'm sick.
Oh, that's why.
I do confess to absolutely in my head
wanting nothing more than T.C.'s pick to lose.
So you've known,
and this hurts me to say this,
as my teammate.
I know.
I mean, you're my teammate now.
Mm-hmm.
But is there anything that happened
when you weren't my teammate,
that you were not being truthful with me about?
Are you planning this year on the payoff of piercing only one third of your ear?
Like maybe it doesn't go all the way through?
Is there an allegation?
Because I'm ready.
This is so uncomfortable.
What we'd like to present to the court.
Not for me.
A public opinion.
The allegation is that Cirque de Soroy,
who lost up these picks last year, fair and square, very fair.
And then it took them until the very last Ranger series of the season to say we're going to go to the – because their payoff was they have to go to three games and try to catch a home run or just catch a ball in the air and then they could leave.
Or they have to go to all three games.
We have pretty good intel that you went to one game.
And that is it.
Let me guess.
Is this a problem all right?
Before I detail how you guys went – we're at Atlanta,
This is what it feels like, huh, T.C.
You get to be on the outside.
Mike, Mike, just put this
to rest right now. Tell us you went to three
games, right? I went to three games.
Okay, great. I went to three games.
I can guess what this is because
I had one issue.
Our friend with the Rangers that hooked us up with
tickets, he came and said hi to us the very
first day when we sat in the actual seats that he gave
us. And then the second day
on Saturday, I was like,
if he comes down, we're
not sitting in those seats because our boyfriend,
who was a big supporter and listener to our show
came in and gave us the all-you-can-eat seats in left field
in the home run area for the last two games.
So I was like, I mean, we're not going to catch a ball anyway.
Why not take all you can eat?
So we sat in different seats than the ones that we were given
by the guy at the Rangers.
If that's the root tell me, Mr. McDowell, you have something more.
Oh, damn, bro.
All right.
Well, I don't know.
What if we play you a video?
Oh, no.
That we happen to...
The feelings back.
That we happen to be able to get metadata off.
Let's play the video.
Beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Get one more Rangers win.
And then the Cowboys, they get a win.
It would make it a perfect Sunday.
What a fun weekend, guys.
What a Sunday.
I know.
The best.
I don't know.
It's such a good time.
Hey, what's going on here.
What a Sunday.
suspicious at best.
Just so overboard on it. It's Sunday. It's Sunday.
So that says that on the front of the video, but if you turn the video around and you're able to see the info on when that video was recorded.
Well, no one could do that.
Oh, really?
Not according to our sources.
I don't know what to do.
Is there something to be shown here?
So you just did it on, it was Sunday, huh?
Just so much that you had to say Sunday five times.
I'll admit that we thought it would be funny to do things that made it look suspicious.
I'll admit that.
Because I'm like, the worst thing is they're going to, you know, try to zaprooter some of this.
And then we can have a fun little controversy, Dan, which I think you enjoy.
Okay.
Here's all I know.
And I felt like there wasn't enough like payoff for, you know, the viewer, which is always a priority.
for these bet payoffs.
And I'm like,
there's no payoff.
So what if we just record one video on Friday
and then we'll just wait two days to put it out?
Now,
I'm going to ask for the video to be brought up again, Mr. McDowell.
Now, this is not a video I recorded.
Pause it when you think you need to, Clayton.
I see a lot of sunshine in the background.
Now, in the background there,
you're going to see a monitor
where there's sports taking place of some sort.
That Friday in particular,
the Rangers were wearing red.
That Sunday they were wearing baby blue.
Oh no, Mikey.
Now, you can't really see it.
Now, I can't, this is not a video show.
But it looks red and I'm telling you that on Sunday, neither team.
I guess I can pull Sunday back up here.
I know on Sunday the Js are not going to be wearing red.
The Rangers were definitely wearing red on Friday and baby blue on Sunday.
Oh, no.
That's definitely red, Mike.
That's as red as it can get.
That looks like the real little rocket my dog gets when he gets excited.
I don't know.
Maybe they were showing highlights.
Maybe this is on Sunday and they're like, remember what happened on Friday?
There you go.
Dude, it's a game.
You don't think between innings it's Ranger fever everywhere you look.
Yeah, it's true.
Why even go Friday?
That's what I wonder.
Why even do part of it?
I suppose for this moment.
I suppose he wants to do it for this moment.
This is great.
I love it.
Tell you what, if you rewatch the whole video,
I intentionally, there's a picture of me pointing the effing box score from the game on Saturday.
Like I'm in the crowd pointing and I did that intentionally because I knew.
Oh, now it's Saturday.
No, he's saying if the game was on Sunday,
he would have the Saturday box score.
He wouldn't have that on Friday.
Interesting.
Well, you're alleging I just went Friday or some hogwash.
I'm not alleging any care.
I'm saying you went Friday and Saturday.
I'm clear that I'm not, I'm spent on conflict.
I'm not alleging anything.
This just, this evidence came across my cake, my desk.
Yeah.
Reddit's going to kill you on this, Jake.
The Jersey thing is funny.
But I guess it's a mistrial.
Yes.
Let's let Reddit take this one so we can get onto just a different topic on Reddit.
We do need to.
I feel like of anyone on the team, if you put the pressure to him, you could crack Trey if you needed to.
That's a good point.
Like the Penn State cocaine boys.
You get him on the couch.
You're really leaning on them.
Well, I will say Trey only went Friday.
Oh, okay.
Extremely convenient.
Again, idiots. They said Friday was the only real chance we had to catch a ball in BP.
So we're like, Trey, you get there, film us all in BP if we have any chance of catching a ball.
We need a quality camera watching us the whole time.
But we're not going to make him come the whole weekend when we can't really be out there catching a ball anyway.
So honestly, this case is closed.
But you were in left field. You could have caught a ball.
This case is closed.
This case is closed.
And he's going to shoot five hours of video, just staring at us.
Come on, Mr. Fleming.
Some people want to be the best.
So you decided only to shoot 10 seconds of video the whole weekend that was only like you wanted to promote it on your Twitter feed.
That's your answer.
I don't even understand the question.
We were there all weekend.
Well, we're here to pick games.
We're here to pick games now.
And again, that's in the past.
It is disappointing.
It's in the background.
When the good guys here, Team Dan signed Mike Soroy, we thought we had some different, I don't know, just a different inner moral compass.
And knowing that we don't makes me real happy because I want to win this one too.
Like in the movie trope thing, people are always like, he's willing to cheat.
Whatever you say in Hans, that's not how it really works.
But it really did.
Yeah.
We did the straight up.
Clayton is our Chloe.
Clayton is our Chloe on 24.
All right.
Do we want to let Kevin,
do you want to restate the board first, obviously?
Sure, yeah.
What teams in first?
As far as teams are concerned,
we'll go team Jake and T.C.
Is high atop the leaderboard.
Right behind them, team Dan and Mike.
And then team Blake and KT.
Bring up the rear.
But it's all tight.
And KT, Kevin Turner, a nine and one week.
Yeah.
A nine and one week.
Wow.
If you look at besides Kevin this week, every week, you'll see the most green squares are on mine.
That's weird.
But then I never get the triple play right.
So, yeah.
In theory, I've won many more games than TC.
However, he does have one more in the standings.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
I set up the rules this way.
Yeah.
No, you're right.
I have to look in the mirror on that one.
But, yeah, so T.C. sits high atop our leaderboard with a 17 and 13 record.
We've had 30 games picked.
He's got 17 right.
I've got 14 tied with KT at 14.
Then we have Mikey at 11.
And then Jake and Blake, little buddies down there.
We'll gain out with nine wins.
Oof.
Nine out of 30.
Ninety-n-k probably could be a dude thing.
That isn't oof.
Interesting.
Get behind him.
Yeah.
So we now head to this week.
What we need to do on the air is pick our triple play and the cowboy game.
The cowboys are at the Texans.
And the cowboys are the underdog.
Houston favored by two and a half on our board.
So the, uh,
Team last place gets to go first.
That is you, Team Blake.
All right.
So Cowboys pick.
Houston, good defense.
Cowboys, good offense.
I think the Cowboys will win the game.
So if they're getting points,
I'm going to take the Cowboys,
and I'm also going to triple play the Cowboys.
Wow.
Once again?
Dag Prescott versus C.J. Stroud.
He's ass.
The Cowboys will win the game.
Give me three wins.
to start it off.
Wow.
Wow.
You think the Texans are going to go 0 and 4.
They're in potential fire coach mode, right?
Is he high on your list?
How's Nico?
What's his name?
Is Nico Collins in this week?
Do we know?
We don't know yet.
It's leaning that way that he's going to play.
Last time I heard that a guy destroyed them and ran through their entire secondary.
Well, I thought that was like crazy because, like,
you don't fly to Brazil if you're not going to play.
Yeah.
Like Zayflowers is always going to play.
Now, Jake, I mean,
Blake right there, triple playing the Cowboys, huh?
Okay.
Interesting.
Go ahead.
So a couple of weeks ago, to save our marriage,
we did a double triple.
And it tightened things back up.
And as you guys know,
Blake and I have a long history.
But last week, I was like,
hey, man, you go ahead and relax.
I'll make dinner all week.
Triple played Oregon State.
you know so right now i'm feeling like i have a little bit of leverage over the relationship
and i yeah we had like a midweek catch we always make time you know he i know he's got a
lot of dominoes and birthday parties to go to but we always have a midweek catch and i i knew he's
a big tc u guy so i was like man this b yu line against tc u looks kind of juicy what's going
on and he said k t not at amon g carter stadium no
and I said
Fuck you, man, I got the triple play last week
So I will take BYU minus six and a half
Minus six and a half
Well, let's just give it all back then
Triple play
I mean if we get the earring
We only have to have it in for a third of the time
So it's fine.
Drew
Yeah, KT has BYU
Unbelievable
Is it okay, can I play AI or not?
Yeah, what you got on?
I'll take
So here's what's going on.
Like everyone's talking about Shottie and the game management and all that focuses
here.
But let's like really look and zoom out a little bit.
A lot of people were talking about Tyler Guyton and Terrence Steele and are they good.
And that has really come up too much, maybe a little bit with Terrence Steel last week.
Has it come up too much?
When you got to block Daniel Hunter and Will Anderson and all those guys, I think that's going to be a problem.
I also don't love that the Cowboys are on defensive back, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
So give me Houston very desperately.
Minus 2.5.
Yeah.
Okay.
Hey, was the BYU story about the Bokmire's all sleeping naked together fake?
They're eating dinner together naked.
Oh, that's what they do?
Yeah.
Okay.
Great.
Then they found the picture of them all in bed naked.
Here, let's play this.
What play?
Mike, if you're found to have cheated, will you eat dinner naked with cash?
I don't even really follow this line of questioning.
No and no.
Insane.
Okay.
Who's up?
Team Dan and Mike is up now.
We've got to name this team.
Probation?
The Astros.
Our word is strong as oak.
There's many words.
It's long, but it's intimidating.
Yeah, it really is.
All right, Cowboys, Texans.
This is very, two desperate teams.
But yeah, man.
KT just had a very good case, a very good case for the Texans.
So I'm going to go with the Texans as well.
I see two, one and three teams after next week in the state of Texas.
That Houston defense hasn't exactly come through yet.
No, they have not.
They have not.
two one and three teams. So give me the Texans, minus two and a half. As far as the triple play,
I mean, we planted seeds last week. It was a little bit tongue and cheek. It was jokey.
I was thinking about Jordan, Jordan Hudson, and her master plan is coming into, like, she got rid of Mike Lombardi.
I forgot about this. She somehow got rid of Steve Belichick, too. Like, she's the only voice he's listening to.
and that's a good thing.
That's just a great thing.
Also, he's being given 21 points at home.
Yeah, dude.
21 points at home?
And I will do this on one condition that someone has the balls to oppose me.
No deal.
You're not.
Who's on the other side.
Come on.
Absolutely not.
So if someone has the balls to say, you know,
what, I'll go up against you in a triple play.
I feel so good that Notre Dame, my team, that all I talk about off the air is about how
great Notre Dame is and wear my Notre Dame shirts around.
Did I go to Notre Dame?
No, I didn't go to Notre Dame, but I just love Notre Dame.
I mean, my family, my grandma once saw someone who went there.
So now all of a sudden, I'm lifelong Notre Dame fan.
Do you have the balls?
Or you have to have two tiny little shriveled up balls that you don't want to bet on your team?
Oh, absolutely.
I bet on my team, but not three times.
If you like Belichick so much, then go ahead and make your trip on Belichick.
What is this?
You don't, then you don't.
Can I get you to do it?
You're going to homo out, too.
You don't have to get me to do anything.
We'll keep with the theme of the week.
I will, of course, triple play Notre Dame.
This is the easiest decision of the world.
They're going to win by 50 points.
Hell yeah.
This is insane.
There's a man with two big game day men's health, testosterone, giant balls.
I know that Marcus Freeman cannot publicly call Bill Belichick a racist,
but I know he thinks.
And I know he wants to embarrass his old ass on TV.
It's going to get ugly.
Ugly, ugly.
Football!
Yeah!
Ripple, whipple, whipple.
My other pick was going to be the Steelers.
That one's free for you guys.
That's okay.
That's three of them.
That's how it works.
There would be too many.
I think they're going to win by 21.
The head and the heart.
We need both guys.
I love Notre Dame.
Pussy, pussy.
I see what's going on.
I know that you know that I've won every single triple played,
so you're trying to talk me off of what I've actually got picked.
You know who he's Ty Cobb.
Eight days left in the season.
That's right.
I'm not.
No more risks for me.
Headed to Aruba with Marilyn Monroe or whatever.
But you know, the site that I get my picks off of,
that's not the one.
They didn't pick Notre Dame.
So I have to go with the site that.
We have a finely calibrated system that's proven to work, and that's what you're intimidated by,
so you're trying to psych me out of it, and it's not going to work.
He's already bending by doing the segment.
I'm just trying to see if you're an actual man, and we've determined that you're not.
We had to pay to update the model to give us picks this early.
We wonder, should we get some ladies involved in this, remember?
And we thought we didn't.
Right. So, but we're good.
Now we can cover all the demographics.
I think my performance in the contest speaks for itself.
Listen, I'll fight him.
Go ahead.
Mike Soroy, where are you? There you are.
If I was allowed, I would take Notre Dame and triple them against you, but I'm not allowed.
Because I don't think North Carolina is going to score a effing point.
You don't want to double triple?
Yeah, hop on board.
No, no, quite the opposite.
I'm tripling U.S.C.
I just remember something called the, quote, greatest show on turf.
Oh, no one can slow this team down.
There's no way.
Everybody said, like, no one believed in him.
Anyway, go ahead. Sorry, Mike Soroy.
I'm getting some news here.
The Dan News Network apparently believes that Tom Brady has eligibility left.
He ain't walking through that door, buddy.
He's going to the grave ashamed.
We got rid of Lombardy and Steve Vellett.
They're all messing it all up.
Is his son just the other coach?
We can just focus.
His other son.
So fucking Phil Pat Knight.
He's rubbing each other's heads together.
He's still got a couple more sons left.
There are other Vellichicks there?
Yeah.
So, sorry, you're supporting the team that targets other quarterbacks.
Is that right?
Is that what I heard?
Yeah, you think that's a jerk?
All right, go ahead.
Mike's Roy.
Sorry.
Excuse me.
We're tripling USC.
We think Washington was a nonsensical 3-0, and they were slightly exposed yesterday.
Lincoln, or last week, Lincoln Riley needs this one.
USC minus nine and a half is our triple play.
I do hate during these damn picks on Wednesday.
I know.
I don't like it either.
My models and line movement require a little bit.
bit of simmering toward the weekend.
Why don't we just pick on Monday?
Yeah.
We can pick the previous Sunday from here on out if that fits your dumb zone schedule
better. We had to pay for an advanced subscription package to get to face it today early.
I'm fucked.
Because knowing or not knowing of Nico Collins is playing is fairly significant in this
game.
But that said, we all have to pick today.
So I am taking not only the Cowboys to win outright, but I will take the plus two and a half,
Dallas Cowboys, plus two and a half.
plus two and a half
is the pick
what a Sunday
great picks Mike
both of them
very happy to have you on my team
thank you
all right
team Jake
well you know what I'm doing
I think the cowboys are
people will overreact
to how bad they'll beat the Texans
so I'm taking the Texans
and then yeah wait
I think excuse me I'm taking the Cowboys
in Houston and then I will take
I will take the
the Fighting Irish on my triple.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, obviously.
Touchdown Jesus.
I do not feel confident enough about the Cowboys Texans games to want all of our action on the same side.
So I'm happy to rest with the Texans.
And then, Dan, I feel like the way you've comported yourself in this segment is bullying and mean.
So to get back at you, I will take Miami to destroy your daughter's Clemson Tigers.
Oh.
16 and a half, it looks like what we're looking at.
Where?
Clemson.
Uh-oh.
Ripple, Whipple, Play.
Damn.
They lost 51 to 10 to LSU.
Who?
Clemson.
That was at LSU, though.
Now they're back to the real death valley.
Yeah, and that might just be 30.
All right.
Well, great.
Great time, guys.
It's wonderful to see all of you.
KT, Kevin Turner.
Good luck over on Lone Star 1053, The Fan.
It's 92.5.
And Mikey, get well soon.
Yeah. Thank you.
If you're hanging out in studio, hang out in studio.
And if not, then all great.
There's picks for another week.
As I look at the little sheet here, it says it is time for us to talk about Atlas Foundation Company.
Atlas Foundation has been out to my house.
We had a remodel a couple years ago you might have heard something about,
but you don't get to pick all of the vendors during that remodel.
You kind of go with their people.
And after the fact, there can be some issues.
We had some issues with our foundation,
needed to get somebody we could really trust before we got that work done.
Went to Atlas Foundation Company, their own family owned,
68 years in business.
They do not send salespeople into your homes.
it's not how their business works.
You can schedule a free inspection.
So this is very low risk on your part.
If you think you might have issues with your foundation,
and you kind of know,
they'll come out to your place,
even out here in Dallas for free at atlustfoundationink.com.
That's how you book the appointment.
817-672-9950.
Kyler's been in my house.
I trust him.
You can to atlasfoundation inc.com.
Okay, we have a lot more,
well, not a lot,
but we have significantly good.
What do they say over...
It's not the amount.
It's the quality of the thing.
There's a term for that, right?
I'm not forgetting, like, whole phrases.
Are you thinking of...
Quantity over...
Content over...
Whatever, anyway.
Quality over quantity.
We're going to do that after this quick break.
Oh.
The dumps, a dumps.
You know, I hadn't said anything to God,
but, you know, that's part of football.
People make bonehead plays.
No, Raiders!
I'm sure.
I'm sure I've made plenty of them.
And, uh...
Go Raiders!
If this isn't the most disappointing loss,
is it maybe the strangest feeling you've ever had after a...
Definitely, definitely.
It's definitely...
It's definitely a weird feeling, you know.
You know, it just...
I'll play to get in the game,
and say whatever I want.
It's just one of those games...
Go Raiders!
Just one of those games where...
Goers!
It's one of those games where, you know,
stuff happens like that, you know.
It's disappointing, but...
Go!
We can't really talk to the camera because there's...
They tried to rip us off and we won anyway.
Go!
We're listening to wrap us off.
But we won anyway.
Go!
Oh!
What was a question?
You're talking about how the offense came to like there.
You're listening to The Dumb Zone.
It's too bad overall drinking might be bad.
You know, because it does give you some fun things.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah. And you want to say everything in moderation, but that's not getting, you're not getting that with moderation.
You can't get to go, Raiders, guy. We've said 100 times today. Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is our actual business day. So it's business Wednesday on a Thursday tomorrow.
And that reminds us of Sean Kernan is bringing us that day off. Sean Kernan, 360 wealth management. Look him up, check him out. Good dude.
and he has a scheduled call with me as I drive down Houston Way.
Get your paper right.
Or canoe down or whatever we're doing.
Well, I'm driving and TCs servicing.
You guys driving together?
Are you driving with Henry?
Yeah, I...
The sitcom that is Clayton and Henry.
This got dropped on us after the show yesterday.
You know, we invited Henry down,
and I first thing I asked him was,
can your car make it?
He don't know.
That's right.
He's got...
He doesn't know.
I've been that...
We've all been that age.
Yep.
And I was like, you know what?
Just go with me.
Unlike Clayton to be nice to Henry, but...
There it is.
Dreams do come true.
All right, a little more shoddy,
and then we could do viewer me own stuff.
But, so this one was...
I played you the open,
and I played you him talking about DAC.
That was a...
I was still a little bit reeling over that.
You want to hear that again?
That's the viral moment.
I don't know if you had time to really talk about it.
So this was...
I believe this is the one.
Let's see here.
It starts at 9.52.
Yeah, there we go.
Skyrdixon, the DAP.
Back on deck with that final play.
If you had it to do over again,
would you not plant the seat of throwing it away,
or do you feel like you have to plant that seat
or throwing it away?
No.
No, no, I trust that.
This has got nothing to do with trust.
This has got to do with everything that was going on.
And, you know, again, the, you know, Terrence Steel comes out.
Broderick goes in and you're like, okay, we need the points.
At that point's third and seven.
But I trust Dak Prescott completely.
So it was the word that I chose, which I'm not going to give away,
the words that we say have meaning.
And when I said the word, it put him into a mindset that he doesn't play with.
He doesn't play that way.
He doesn't play the game that way.
And so that's what I would change.
Oh.
You feel pretty good about back trusting you in the wake of it.
You said you trust him and you feel good about that.
I hope so.
I mean, he's throwing interceptions before and I still trust him.
So if I make a mistake, I hope he trusts me because I've made a lot of really good decisions too.
So that's kind of what went viral, the whole coach saying, yeah, he's throwing interceptions.
He should then trust me because I made a mistake here.
I do sometimes loathe how much of our work is psychoanalysts of these very,
very famous, powerful football people, but that doesn't sound like a confident guy to me.
No, and when he says, I mean, he was even talking about the word I said to him.
Safety, alert, whatever.
That puts a negative connotation in his mind, and I shouldn't have done that.
All right.
How do I analyze that?
Oh, okay.
You just said that to J.J. McCarthy?
And then you sent him in there to the sit?
No, no.
You set it to a 12-year NFL top whatever quarterback veteran who's been through many coaches.
So right there, I'm going to criticize DAC on that.
Like your coach said something that possibly planted a seed of now I've got to be super careful.
I don't know, man.
Like, let's win this ball game.
You know how to play this position.
Well, his coach on Sunday night used the phrase.
we already had points.
So, not to say he can't go rogue,
but he would have been going real rogue
because I think Shottie wanted a field goal
the second they got that PI.
Yeah, at least knew that we at least have this.
But you can't, that is not just a thing you say.
But when he then said,
but there was other things, it was Terrence Steel, it was this.
To me, that sounds like a guy
who doesn't have a lot of experience
being a head coach slash play caller,
and the bullets are flying,
and it's the first time the bullets are really whizzing by my head,
and I'm peeing my pants.
Like, this is why millions of dollars are on each win and loss, right?
Playoffs can mean whatever.
This is why you don't, like, just give first time,
for all the shoddy, I've been around 25 years,
I've been around for a long time, I've seen it all.
You haven't seen shit.
you haven't been like you haven't called a lot of plays you you clearly haven't seen it all because you
just allowed that to really get in your head and you heard the other audio where he admitted that
I mean even so then after that why did they bang it out of the end zone well that was because
shoddy was still upset at the mistake he had made previously and he didn't even pay attention to
the kickoff not a good answer but an honest one at the point where you're telling a reporter
hey, I've got a long list of other good decisions I've made.
The only reason why you tell people's stuff is you think that they don't already know it.
They're like you're insecure in whether or not that they're aware of it.
Like Sean McVeigh doesn't have to tell reporters, well, I've gotten a lot of these right,
so I don't have to worry about it.
And that's, yeah, right.
Well, that's a shoddy staple is I've been around a long time, guys.
I bet, hey, maybe you don't know this.
My dad was a one.
Because really, it hasn't been in the news.
Like you haven't been a coordinator or a real successful guy or,
on anyone else's head coaching interview list.
I'm not trying to be mean.
In 20 years.
And I brought this up on Tuesday's show.
I'm not trying to be mean,
but I consume what I feel like is an IV drip of football content
and have for the last 20 years.
And I just never heard him talked about in any of these articles that,
you know, even the ones that I would get too hyped up about.
I heard it talked about very negatively.
His time in Seattle was viewed very poorly.
I think that his time at Georgia was kind of a wrong turn for them offensively.
And it's really just you're talking to Jets early and then Seattle is the only time he's really calling plays at the NFL level.
And again, dude, I'm not trying to be.
I get a lot of these wrong because I worked with Bob for a long time.
I was scouring coaching sites trying to find who the next, like I was looking for the Mavs' next big and landing on Alex Lynn.
Nerlin's Noel.
This is how I was, like, excited about Matt LaFleur when the Titans beat the brakes off the Cowboys one Monday night.
Nobody was talking about Brian Schottenheimer like that.
Not the dorks on the ringer, not the guy.
Like, the most forward, hey, these guys are awesome.
They're young writer.
Nobody has ever talked about him like this except for him.
He was offered a couple of interviews and turned them down to stay where he was.
and at those moments he possibly was thought of as a hot name,
but not like a guru.
That was 15 years ago.
And again, he might end up being good, but the thing is,
I've never seen a guy who's the way he talks about his self matches up less
with the way other people talk about him, and I've never heard it.
That's a good point.
But my point, even when they hired him, is you have on-the-job training now.
it's not that much different.
It seems from a 32-year-old hiring a 52-year-old.
Like, when you really haven't been in the trenches there,
like you don't really know what it's like to call plays.
Right.
That part.
Until you're at the end of a game and you have to,
you're the guy who has to call that play,
you have to call the next play, whether or not to kick,
and then you have to call the kickoff play.
Like, you're in charge of it all.
This is not a surprise.
And it's a lot to take on.
What he's good at.
It would have been a lot if Jerry just hired him as an offensive coordinator who calls plays.
And it was a lot for Jesse Mentor, too, and he just didn't have that big of a problem with it.
No, but, and I don't know that Mentor's backstory as well, but I know that he's thought of as a head coach.
No, but here's the problem.
I think what Shottie does really well is what Jason Garrett did really well, which is like he keeps it together.
He knows like when people are going to be at the facility and like what that means for the day.
and like he knows how to run the program.
Then don't call place.
That's the thing.
I just, a lot of these guys are cocky as shit.
And it's because the media sucks them off and says they're awesome.
He just like completely skipped that step.
So Jerry, he kind of said, you know, they had a sit down together, Jerry and Shottie.
I explained it.
He understands.
He understands that there was a mistake that was made.
and, you know, he was terrific.
Great sound advice.
And, you know, I value him.
You know, he's been around the game a long time, just like I have.
Oh, man.
I wanted you to hear that and pause and just watch your head.
Bow.
You know, I value him.
You know, he's been around the game a long time, just like I have.
And he's seen a lot of stuff.
And so to me, that shows that he and I are, you know, aligned very closely.
And like I said, this will make me better.
I'll be better.
And again, I'm looking forward to lining up and playing this week against the Texans.
On the kickoff, it should have been, you would, if you do it over, would be hung up and make them return it.
Yeah, it wouldn't be a dirty ball.
It'd be a short kick where they'd have to bring it out.
And then the clock would go down to, you know, a couple seconds, two or three seconds.
And, you know, they probably would have taken a knee.
Yeah, that's what it should have been.
So then let's jump to my last cut.
in this at least, which is Saad.
The great Saad Yusuf jumps in, and he's going to talk about Brandon.
And I have an issue with what Shadi has to say here.
Brandon said last week that he's been told that he can execute the dirty ball kicks
with the understanding that there's a risk reward.
Is that something that he's told to do every kickoff?
Is it situational?
and how do you kind of continue that trust with him,
kind of similar to what you were talking about?
Yeah, it's a game plan thing.
He's been awesome at it.
There totally is a chance that when you kick the dirty balls,
they potentially go out of bounds.
I think Brandon will be the first to tell you
that two can't go out of bounds.
That can't happen.
Now, one went out at the one yard line,
you know, the other one went out around the 20.
The one around the 20 is more problematic
than the one at the one.
But, I mean, it's no different than, you know,
making adjustments.
You know, a minute he kicked the second one out of bounds.
We're like, okay, let's just kick it, you know, kick it normal.
And he understands that.
And the same way you had that conversation with, Dak, do you have to have a point?
So, yeah, that was it.
Go ahead.
Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm only able to go on what they're saying here.
But he doesn't understand.
First of all, unless I'm missing something, there is no difference in the one that went out at the one in the 20.
Yeah, it's not like he can control it.
That's all in the same thing.
Yeah, do your bit.
The one that went out of the one that was an inch away from being a successful kick because if it went out out of bounds, it's a different place they put it out at, right?
If it goes through into the end zone, yeah, they get at the 20.
Yeah, so I think he's just saying that you're pretty close to the objective, not that there's a different outcome.
As Brandon said earlier, it hit that one good.
That was perfect.
The guy actually was trying to field it.
And by, you know, because it's a football, it bounced a little bit left and said a little bit right.
And then maybe Brandon said it himself.
The one at the 20, he hoped.
But I still think that you, if you kick off regular and make a 5% error, nobody notices.
When you introduce this kick to the mix and acknowledge that a 5% error will sometimes result in
and out of bounds, you cannot then retrospectively say, yeah, I mean, that's a mistake.
He knows that.
Unless you just have to say something.
Because what you should say is, that's what we're playing.
We're fourth and average starting position right now.
So that's my thing.
It is, if you do something, there has to be a reason and maybe it's mathematical, which would be analytics, right?
You're like, this is why we do it.
Why do we go for it on fourth and one, whatever, in this part of the field?
Because over time, when we do it 100 times, we actually convert it 70.
So you wouldn't be able to say if we went for it on fourth and one and didn't get it.
get it twice, that's just unacceptable.
Because you'd have to say, well, we do this because it works out way more often than it
doesn't.
So that's the whole point of the dirty kick, right?
It is a, you can't just blanket say two go out of bounds.
Brandon is the first one to say that can't happen.
I mean, obviously Brandon would say none of them should go out of bounds.
All these guys want to be perfect.
But what if you kick 10 kickoffs in a game?
Can two go out of bounds?
He kicks seven kickoffs.
Can two go out of bounds?
What if the other five all were downed at the five-yard line?
I would say then two should absolutely go out of bounds.
That's great.
And even with this risk reward, as we talked about,
this don't count the last one because he told him to boom it out.
The average starting field position was the 28-yard line.
With the two going out of bounds and with the dirty balls that worked.
So, mission accomplished.
And as you said, they're in the top half of the league or top 10.
And opponents average, like, they're fourth now with.
In holding, not fourth most, fourth.
Right.
Right.
So.
The opponents of the fourth.
Brandon is the fourth best kicker in the NFL at doing it because of there is going to be some risk.
And that's the thing we're finding out about Shottie.
The word risk.
Doesn't like it.
Uh, hell, didn't even, did Brandon allude to that in our talk with him today?
He said something about like if you go too crazy or they don't like to, and I thought of bones.
The two-point conversion type thing.
Yeah, I can't remember, but the.
What are you just talking about Harry Kane?
Yeah.
So I just feel like you can't say that.
You can't blanket say he absolutely can't hit two out in a game.
Oh, really?
Well, what if you have 15 kickoffs and you're scoring a ton?
It's a silly thing to say.
If you only have two kickoffs, that would be unfortunate if they both went out of bounds.
But also, we're playing percentages here.
And once we play it all out, it's going to be the right.
That's the whole point of percentages.
Or just kick everyone into the end zone, start everyone at the 35.
And then no risk.
No, no worries.
I mean, other teams are going to do that.
But I'll just reiterate again, because,
I don't feel as if Brad and Babe or the national broadcast is doing enough to set the stage for this.
They're going to, like, score a touchdown on one of these.
The thing with the ball bouncing so many different ways.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
That's what you were saying.
The return guys are not, there's really no way to practice this.
You could try, I guess, and have somebody mimic the kick, but if he could do it, they'd do it.
And there's just no way to predict how that ball is going to bounce.
One of them is going to be live inside the five-yard line, and it's going to be free points.
three free points after they throw a couple fades and kick a 21-yard field goal.
You want to hear the Babe Laufenberg question of the day for you?
Sure. Yeah, this will be great.
Because you always talk about the guys on the broadcast,
they're bringing up like Citizen Kane or just...
Oh, yeah.
I can't even remember their references.
Just references that are, you know, your dad would have trouble piecing together.
They're references for your mom, Dan.
Yes.
Phantom of the Opera.
Okay, so here's Brad at the press conference talking to, or no, excuse me, Babe.
Brandon said last week.
Wait, I must have the wrong one, sir.
This is what happens when you edit these during the break.
Babe Lawford, Cowboys Radio, 1053, the fan.
Two questions, if I may.
Two unrelated.
Get to it.
Blake, be patient.
Blake, be patient.
He's an NFL quarterback.
He's allowed two questions.
They don't have to be related.
Get to it.
And what I'm going to do is I'm going to ask those questions with words.
And those words are going to be English.
And I'm going to lose some of the young people on the first one, but I don't think you won't lose you.
You won't lose me.
Red Ride 88.
Yeah.
You want to follow it up?
Yeah.
Yeah, I know exactly where you're going.
Any idea?
You only know maybe because you've been around me for many years.
The Ernest Biner?
Or is it not Ernest Biner?
It's along those lines.
Okay.
It was well before Ernest Biner.
Okay.
It was like an autogram?
No, no, no. It was 1980.
I thought that much before Ernest Biner.
Maybe, okay.
Right.
Well, when you're the age I was, that's like a lifetime.
Yeah, yeah, a lifetime.
So it was 1980.
and I wasn't really football.
You know, I'm a little kid.
The Browns were in the playoffs.
They called a, they had a toe punch kicker who was kind of crappy,
and it was like one degree out.
So it was the coldest game ever in Cleveland history.
The Browns had a chance to score a touchdown.
They could have kicked a field goal in one,
but their kicker was missing like 20-yard field goals.
So they threw it into the end zone and he was told Brian Sipe was told,
throw it away if it's not there.
He tried to fit it in.
The Raiders intercepted the ball, ending the Brown storybook season of 1980,
where Brian Sipe was the league MVP that year.
The Raiders would go on to be in the Super Bowl, if not win the Super Bowl.
But Red Right 88 is the name of the play.
If you're not from Cleveland and 50 years old, how do you know this?
Those are two things.
Well, luckily, the coach of the Cowboys is from Cleveland and he's 50 years old.
And so am I.
So we both get it.
Now everybody else in the room and the world gets it because I said it.
But, you know, anyway, let's hear what you know.
You won't lose me.
Red Ride 88.
Yeah.
You want to follow it up?
Yeah, I know exactly where you're going.
Okay.
Sam Ritiglianos is throwing the lake if it's not there.
And growing up, those interception.
Yeah, for sure.
So I guess what Brad Babe is doing here is like, hey, I want to show, I'm supporting you, coach.
You kind of made a perfect call.
Yeah.
I mean, you got to tell him to throw it away.
It could have been intercepted.
And let's all nod and say yes.
Wait, we have to not risk interception.
Yeah.
The Browns lost that game?
Yeah.
And the Cowboys lost this game?
Yeah.
Okay.
So, yeah, how does that support your...
Yeah.
It's also a little funny.
Brad, he's the one that was on...
Excuse me, babe, was on Twitter.
Oh, what about all these clock management experts and blah, blah, blah, blah.
And then when you walk into the press conference in the next day and the coach is like,
hey, first thing, I messed up the clock, I did it.
I thought we were yelling at the extras on Twitter.
It out of the end zone.
The coach said he messed it up.
Now, the Twitter guys, I guess they are actual experts.
Anyway, I marked this to end a minute later, so let's see what we got.
So how do you bound this reminding your quarterback?
Yeah.
No time out, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, again, there's always, that's a great question.
There's a reminder, and I gave DAC a reminder, I think, on second down.
No need to do it with DAC on third down.
I trust him.
I trust him completely.
You know, that's why you're willing to call passes in situations.
You know, he and I have done a lot of stuff together.
We worked together.
He's bailed me out at times.
bailed him out of times.
You know, so I think that's all part of it.
But, again, what, you know, what bothers me was the word that I chose, again, which I'm
going to share, put him into a more conservative mindset that he normally plays with.
Because he thinks that they have like, he does, again, this has been democratized.
They just say safe, alert, kill.
These are not.
Hey, listen.
What if it's pussy bitch?
Yeah, well, you're not on seal teams.
You're not on seal teams.
Team 6, like me, Brian Schottnheimer, where we can say T.J.
And it's cool.
Like, it's one thing if you don't want to tell.
But over and over.
I'm not going to tell you.
I'm not going to tell you.
It's just between me and him.
Because it is in-word.
This makes me want it more.
By the way, I'm so frustrated that we're even getting bogged down in this.
But he just said he did it before the second down, right?
Yeah.
When he scrambled and got tackled.
And he had a timeout.
They called a time out after that.
Yeah.
You didn't go back over everything?
Like, hey, you know, I said before that play, well, now we have like this whole last time over here.
Oh, yeah.
With third, that was leading in the third down.
You're right.
Let's go over this.
Yeah.
That's very weird.
So it doesn't.
What did you guys do?
It's illogical.
Why did I keep it?
Do we hit Ryan Flore and I run across the field?
I don't know.
We might.
You know, we might not.
But, um.
I'm going to lose it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you never know.
But, again, trust your players.
And Dak Prescott certainly deserves 100% of my trust.
And that's, that's what bothered me.
It wasn't about trust.
Rusto was about everything going on and Terrence Steele's getting poked in the eye and a lot of stuff.
Again, there's bullets flying, Terrence Steele got poked now.
What is it?
What is it?
Just tell us you're overwhelmed and you're not capable of having this job.
I think he's pretty close.
There's a squat.
Yeah, just say it.
Read between the lines.
Sure.
It also hit Flanoid before the end zone with no timeouts?
You don't know what we're going to do.
Yeah, you're going to get tackled at the one.
You're going to lose.
If you're not expecting it, then.
Okay.
No, we probably would have.
We probably, I mean, I could have done the double reverse.
Probably would have won there.
Well, I'm sure Babe's second question was awesome, too.
You just, if you are an offensive guru, you have to have something you know works,
three shots from the two with needing the touchdown.
You know how I know they have it if they would actually just let it cook is because their two-point conversion packages are elite.
Yeah, that would be the perfect play for something.
I mean, it's from the two.
Three, how about four shots?
How about not settle for overtime?
Goddy.
I don't think it is greatest offense there is.
Early returns are not favorable.
Let's do viewer mail.
Plum quick.

had a major backup issues in one of the sinks and the toilets.
But you don't have to have water, you know, coming out of the walls to need Plumquick.
You can call, get set up for that home membership.
Did you tell him?
Okay, I didn't know you had a problem with your sink and toilet.
Did you tell him that you don't know there's a difference between the two?
I've yet to inform Robert.
Yeah, it's been.
Just number one, though.
Less time, always number one.
Okay.
But it hasn't been as long as you would like.
I'll put it to you like that.
All right.
So it's not just...
But they don't care.
The whole bit of a...
Hey, I wasn't like this just because I was drinking.
Some of this stuff makes sense.
All right.
I'm sorry, Plum Quick.
They'll come out.
They'll flush your water heater.
They will do a camera inspection.
They'll clean out the drains.

Oh, yeah, wait a minute, Uncle Hotmail.
That's right, folks.
It's time for viewer mail.
Is there an email in your box for me?
I never give it out.
Brackett Dan at Hotmail.com.
That's for me. I'm very accessible.
People love talking to me.
I do get the occasional...
How do I get a hold of Clayton?
And I'll text him and he's like, why?
That's what he wrote back.
I was like, hey, this guy wants your email, he goes, why?
I'm like, I don't...
Is that what you want me to tell him?
He's not on, like, the contact page?
I thought we all were, but mine's there.
J-Camp 88, like the Nazis at gmail.com.
I thought it was piano keys.
So they could just send you something that says
Jake's closing remarks with his high school buddies
He assured Dan here quote
About dry ice

Not at a grocery store
And then
This is from another guy
And then John he kind of

John says most grocery stores, six of them within 15 miles of me.
Tough loss.
And then he said, this is something different.
We use it twice a year to brand cattle.
Yeah.
I knew you could.
I did know you could get it at like feed stores and stuff.
They always have weird stuff.
But I did not know you could get it at the grocery store.
I have asked mine in the last couple years and they said no.
But branding?
Yeah, dude.
Yeah.
Real life, man.
I was probably close for being honest.
To getting a brand?
You know, I had friends.
I think Donovan did, right?
Oh, yeah.
Black fraternity's definitely doing a brand.
But my cousin, who went to Haltam,
was a couple years older than me,
and he had a big one, a huge one.
Is that football helmet cousin?
Yeah.
Cut his head, head cut off?
No, he didn't have a windshield, so he just wore.
a football helmet with a visor to keep bugs from hitting him in the face.
So awesome.
True story.
Let's see what I have here.
You know, a lot of people were telling me that Icaramba is not Portuguese.
It's Spanish.
I don't even know if Jim Nance was trying to be culturally relevant or if he just wanted to talk like Bart Simpson.
I really don't know.
I think he was trying to be culturally relevant.
Here, pull me up real quick.
Okay.
So they're in Brazil.
Quite a stretch here.
Just look at this.
I cramamba.
Yeah, 14.
Like, I don't feel like you hear anyone say that anymore.
No, but you're right.
He was sitting in the hotel room the night before,
and what are the bits I'm going to do tomorrow?
Justin says this is a very put another shrimp on the Bobby-made type moment.
Absolutely.
Avery wanted to remind me that we recently talked about Elizabeth Holmes.
She's in prison.
She's being moved to another Texas prison next summer.
currently at her prison is
Galane Maxwell.
Oh, wow.
You got to be thinking that they're
bumping, bumping donuts.
Trading fake blood.
The very coolly named John Bick
says,
just wanted to pass along a few things
regarding the ear piercing punishment.
This guy sounds like he knows.
One, you need to find a reputable tattoo
piercing shop that uses a needle.
Do not go to call.
players at the mall.
You're probably going to have to start with a stud unless the piercer has an appropriate
hoop that can be used for a fresh piercing. You'll need to discuss that with the piercer.
Three, whatever goes in is initially, initially is probably staying there for at least six
to eight weeks while it heals. How long were your nipple rings in before you could take
them out? I had a weird experience. The first one did not go in very well.
So that one was just kind of dangling and I just ripped it out. The second one was
stripped out, which is detailed
on the show. In the throes of passion.
Yep. He says, you really need to take care of the piercing
afterward. Infections are common.
Just a few logistical details to consider
before the end of the season.
KT texted me.
He said, I love the precedent has now been set. You don't have to
pay off the bet. Yeah.
It's good to know.
We're hard on crime.
Something fishy is happening.

It's fun to do, but you don't want your friends to catch you doing it.
Brian has a trope.
Need a clue to solve a mystery or some evidence that your memories are true?
Go find that trusty memento box.
You know, everyone has a dusty wooden box in the closet or under the bed that has an old garment on top.
Bonus points if you sniff it upon opening the box.
Under which are a few tattered photos and handwritten notes.
Inevitably, you'll find a note or piece of jewelry or photo that solves the mystery,
verifies your memories, or proves your theory correct.
Caught this in back-to-back films over the weekend from Brian.
That's a good one.
I mean, and it's going to be out of date in the next 10 years.
Did your mom have a, well, sorry.
didn't really have a childhood.
Your mom
have like a keeper box.
Because she had me when she was 19.
Yeah, my mom was mom and hard.
Your mom was summer 11 sometimes.
But we had like a box.
It was actually like a piece of furniture.
And she called it the keeper box.
And it just had like all of our...
Yeah, we had a hope chest.
All of our stuff in it.
Like first football, Jersey or whatever.
Oh, okay.
No, yeah, I don't have much.
I don't have...
Well, I...
You got photo.
I have a variety.
She did give me a big box of stuff last time I visited,
and I haven't rolled through all of it.
But, yeah, it's cool.
And I've saved five or ten times that amount of stuff for my kids,
because I have one for each day, and I labeled them and, you know, me.
So, and save, you know, oh, my gosh, this one's filled up.
I'm going to put a new one in here now.
So they each have three or four of these big plastic kind of containers
that you would put Christmas decorations in,
but instead it's all their homework and stuff.
And I have some of that, you know, report cards.
And someday.
Things of that nature.
When one of them went to solve a family mystery.
I was in the newspaper or something.
She would cut it out, you know.
Sure.
I'm real famous.
South Lake Style Magazine Cover Boy.
Yes, someday we can solve the family mystery and go in there
and find my old Luger.
Whatever.
whatever that is.
I've got one of them.
I've got two follow-ups.
Both are kind of in the same family of
surprised that they weren't Kempspin.
Remember when we did the Family Feud thing
with Julie and John Kukla?
Apparently, like, the Wheel of Fortune announcer
and Family Feud dude got arrested on an airplane.
We never touched on that.
Yeah, somebody did send that in.
What was it for, Blake?
So he was, I'm very loose on the details here,
but apparently if you're into CP, there is a browser or a forum or a message board that you...
Holy shit, I completely forgot about this story.
This is current.
Yeah.
This isn't old.
Okay.
And it's called Tor.
The Onion Router, my friend.
Okay.
So all these CP dudes talk on this thing called Tor.
And Jim Thorton had it up on his computer on an airplane.
Yeah.
And so people behind him start taking pictures of, hey, look, this dude is on this browser or whatever.
And even the people he's talking to are saying, bro, you're on a plane.
Are you in an airplane?
You need to stop being so porny.
Yeah.
And he was busted.
And he was busted.
Shows one user saying, quote, saw a couple of cute boys and a hot little girl at a restaurant they referred to as a quote, all you can eat boy fay.
Oh, no.
So that's one follow-up.
The other one I have is on Dr. Seuss, who, Jake, you said you hated.
I know we have to follow up, but we shouldn't.
We should just stay forever on host of Game Show announcer who gets on plane.
Well, he wasn't, I don't even want to legitimize this by saying he wasn't flying to, like, Hong Kong.
And in that case, you got to get your fix.
But it's insane to be on a domestic flight.
Like, and be needing to talk to the boys about child porn.
like you've planned so poorly jack off do whatever you have to do there's no that person should not be in public
like that's a threat you're on a plane i don't know sorry we go to jail yeah worse uh dr seuss
um was really only led into doing whatever he did by his wife she played a massive role in launching
Brandon.
Dr. Seuss's career just like Brandon,
encouraging him to focus on drawing and writing children's books
instead of pursuing a traditional teaching path.
She also suffered from long-term health issues,
including cancer.
And after a prolonged illness and discovery of her husband's affair,
she died by suicide.
Oh, my God. R.FK.
But you laugh at his little characters.
It's a schmuck.
It's a slump
Dr. Puce.
You know the RFK lady
killed herself, right?
His ex-wife?
Yeah, she like found the book.
He was basically doing sex for points,
but for real, like all over the country.
Keeping it down in the book?
Yep.
And then she found it and went to meet her maker.
And then he got Larry David's ex-wife.
I'm not saying I see where Dr. Puss was coming from.
But Helen, she's not exactly keeping it together for the doc.
She had cancer.
Well, in this photo, she doesn't, I don't know that she was ever like a piece.
You know, and he's Dr. Seuss, man.
She had trouble getting around.
Anyway, I have a lighter note.
This is from our special teams coach over in Rockwall, who after our Greg, I don't, well, he's probably been doing this for a while.
but after we talked about Greg Williams,
this is how the yellow jackets
break out their special team's huddle.
Take team all right, right.
Come get some B.
Yes.
All right.
Come get some B.
Yes.
That is nice.
We are Legion.
Jason.
Dear Dumzone,
I feel like I can call you
Dumbzone because you and me are so much alike.
I would love to meet you someday.
It would be great to have a catch with Jake.
I know I can't throw as fast as him.
Blake, I love your mustache.
Dan, do you have a good relationship with your father?
Me neither.
We can talk about all these things and more.
Anyway, I took the family to the Savannah Bananas game on Sunday at the Gilf.
Wow.
This must be two weeks ago.
No.
It was just now.
Yeah.
It was this weekend?
Yes, a lot of banana shirts after the game Sunday.
The second inning when the left fielder was the front man for a full rock band,
these are highlights, drums, guitar, and bass all out in left field during play.
There's a full rock band in left field during play.
There was a line drive down the line.
The left fielder proceeded to field while singing into a handheld mic the whole time.
The Mystery Batter.
So apparently this is a bit.
I found out that it was, yeah.
I was really excited.
He punched a couple kids on the way down to the batters box.
Was Prince Fielder?
Oh, wrong guy.
You were still...
He's later.
Yeah.
You're talking about the golden hitter.
Okay.
He still looks like he could be thrown out at first on a line drive to right field.
What?
The highlight of the game is when the home plate umpire appeared to have a serious medical episode,
he stumbled toward the first base dugout, where he eventually slumped over and fell to his knees.
The crowd...
fully expected him to hop up and twerk and continue doing bits.
Until the medical team comes onto the field to assist him, the realization sets in that this
is not part of the show.
It's like Adam Sandler movie.
However, the medical emergency did not stop the left fielder and the banana mascot from
play wrestling while the medical team is making sure that the umpire doesn't die on the field.
The show goes on, baby.
Eventually, he has helped to his feet escorted to the dugout and down the tunnel.
No more than five seconds after the umpire is off the field,
the MC is on the mound starting a wave that continued until the top of the first was over.
This is the first inning.
What are we supposed to do?
Not get banana-y just because this guys can't handle the heat.
All in all, my five- and three-year-old have more fun walking the concourse than anything they saw in the field.
I've been to one bananas game now
That's from D.F. Jason.
Yeah, Jake was talking about Josh Hamilton
Was the golden hitter or whatever.
Is he who else was?
No.
Raphael Palmero.
Oh.
Oh, nice.
Hit a big boner.
Those are the three,
they got three X Rangers to come out and play.
Wonder what they pay them.
Because they ain't doing that for free.
It's a great question.
I imagine I'm not too far away from this
I mean I uh we had that friend dinner Friday night or whatever Saturday night and
there's a big contingent that couldn't be there because there they live baseball
all these travel teams where you think you don't think any of them were not there
dad's getting all hammered love it got a a sad Disney movie script I want more of these we talked
about what the 101 Dalmatians, like they were going to skin the dogs.
This is from the Springtown Beehive chapter.
This is Neal.
Who says in the good dinosaur, the dad got swept away in a terrifying flood as his kid was watching.
Very Lion King.
And the only reason they're by the river to begin with is because the kid dinosaur
couldn't do his job the right way.
Ooh.
Ed Gilt.
Land before time was the same way.
Yeah.
I recently watched the Crudes.
You know what that is, Dan?
It's Nick Cage.
Oh.
Animated Nick Cage.
And it's very similar.
Animated Nick Cage.
Yeah, he's like a Neanderthal.
But it's, you know, it's a kid who gets separated from his family.
A lot of trauma.
I have two more with pictures.
Kind of getting you ready to be a cowboy fan.
Do you want me to end it here?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we have a...
Jordan sends a sports jeopardy flyer.
We were just talking about Jeopardy the other day.
Or what was it?
Oh, how my wife really gets off now on the fact that I can answer third grade level sports trivia.
Touchback, babe.
Yeah, it's like...
It's called a field goal.
Three points.
You get three...
She's like, oh, okay, great.
Here's the picture.
There's a flyer for you can be on Sports Jeopardy.
It is going to be hosted by what's his name, Joe Buck.
And there's just a way we can get in.
I think if you scroll down that there's more information,
but I think you can be a contestant.
Sports Jeopardy, look it up.
Search ESPN Jeopardy.
They're looking for contestants, and if you think you've got the goods,
this would probably be more high level.
whole thing is about sports.
I have a friend who did this.
We had them on the show.
Really?
Some 10 years ago or so, yeah.
And then I have a gummy thought.
We can just give a quick shout out to early bird CBD.com.
promo code dump zone.
He says, I thought this a planet.
Huh?
So he's got a picture of this planet.
Put that up there.
It says,
newfound baby planet
breaks the record for youngest world.
What?
And he says,
how many records have been broken
but nobody knew?
Yeah.
Like,
how is this a record for youngest planet?
They discovered a planet.
So basically,
they've discovered the youngest planet
they've ever discovered, right?
That's what they're saying?
Correct.
This rock was just formed.
And, uh,
now we're putting a flag on it.
We declare it born.
The records are only things that we've discovered, right?
If this is the highest mountain ever discovered,
but we just haven't been around the whole world yet type thing.
So we thought flagpole Hill was the highest mountain?
I respect this in the world.
Okay.
Anyway, that's Derek.
And that is viewer mail.
That's a viewer.
So now let's do some news.
Here's Jane with the dumb zone.
News, news, news, news, news, news, news, news, news, news, news.
Oh, it's brought to us by.
Who do we got?
Oh, Braintopia.
Braintopia.
I will be there today.
Braintopia is neural feedback, neural feedback.
If you struggle with, let's say, a traumatic brain injury, PTSD, sleep issues, anxiety, perhaps addiction issues,
Anything that is there in the brain, they have a treatment for you that you should go try.
They've got a brain map you can do for 20% off if you're a dumb zone listener.
Shows which areas of your brain react differently to different stimuli.
Drug-free way to try to reduce the symptoms of things like stress, depression, insomnia.
So if you're kind of at your wits end on that front, have you been there, check them out.
It is Brain Topia.
What's the website?
You can figure it out, right?
Braintopia centers.com.
Sorry, I didn't pull it up.
President Trump will visit DFW tomorrow.
Oh, during the rain.
Peterbilt Motors in Denton.
Not four seasons landscape.
No.
Peter, what? What is that?
18 wheelers.
Yeah, Peterbilt.
Okay.
Why?
American made.
This is the first time.
you're hearing of this company.
No, no, no.
Now that you say it.
Yeah, yeah.
Because they've got a ton of factories up that way.
A lot of land.
Here's a quick...
Just a field?
Yeah, here's a quick quote.
They caught up with them.
They said, sir, did you know this all used to be a field, sir?
I said, wow.
A field.
No, I didn't know that.
A live reaction.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Preview. This is what he will say tomorrow.
Is what you're saying.
continuity air of the highest order.
I love that bit.
Sir.
Funny bit down in Austin, or Round Rock, more specifically.
There's a place down there called Round Rock Honey.
They do what you think they do.
They make honey.
Oh, okay.
Well, a storage container at Round Rock Honey broke on Sunday afternoon.
which prompted an untold thousands of bees
to swarm the place.
Wait.
Bees, honey attracts bees?
Yeah.
I thought they make it.
Yeah, but if it's there, they're going to...
I thought when you're, when you check out, you don't want to work anymore, you know?
Like when you go home.
It's a good point.
I was like, is my cleaning lady's house real dirty?
I always think about that.
Like, does she go home?
You're like, I don't want to...
That's what I do all day.
Right.
I'm not going to pick this up now.
I'm more than honey.
You know, so like if you work at a pizza place, you probably just don't eat pizza at home.
That's why Rachel and the gynecologist didn't make it.
This is a friend's reference.
He says, you're a waitress, right?
Don't you ever just come home and say, if I see one more cup.
Yeah, okay.
It makes sense.
No, I don't...
I like it.
I don't know how bees work.
I can't sit here and tell you that I do.
I've seen them work.
But apparently there's a red alert.
Like, hey, there's lots of honey.
You don't have to work and make it.
You just take some of this honey.
They got a keg down there.
That's what it feels like.
And so a million bees.
The guy who's in charge, the owner said,
the bees are treating this like a giant feast.
I mean, who wouldn't?
Now, if you said bears,
I've always thought the bear,
probably because of Winnie.
It says exposed hunting.
honey can attract foraging worker bees to rob a resource.
Hmm.
So you don't have to make it if you steal it.
I tried to find...
I tried to find audio of this,
and I believe the story did not include any video,
which is unfortunate because it closes with the owner of this place saying,
hey, don't come down here.
Don't come down here and try to see all this honey.
So that's what's happening?
It says, this is a direct quote.
Looky-lose, rubberneckers.
The last thing is...
we need is a bunch of people playing looky-lose here.
They did say that?
No disrespect to people that play looky-lose,
but we don't need that right now.
What are you, Bill Parcells?
Like, hey, no disrespect to the looky-lose,
but not right now.
Man, I feel like we see this story more and more.
Fraud related to oil.
This is an indictment for three dudes,
started the investigation in January of 2024.
So they say that they are a saltwater disposal operation.
So that grants it some, I don't know, exemptions, right?
Like, hey, we're allowed to mess with this type of material.
We're allowed to have it.
They do not have the ability to purchase crude oil,
which they were doing on the black market.
Blake told them to.
He said, look, gas prices going high.
You get out there and do some fraud.
That was right.
Like I, I mean, it's the classic, how much time would I have to give you to come into some hot gas, some illegal crude?
I give you a week.
Like, how do you get a whole, like, there's a lot more going on out there than you think there is, Dan.
They stole this from locations all over West Texas and all over New Mexico.
And then they did the unthinkable and transported it across state lines.
Ooh.
Not good.
Yep.
Not good at all.
The man act.
Another story we see quite a bit.
I think roller coasters are becoming either more dangerous or we're just hearing about it more.
The X2 roller coaster, which is out in L.A., we've talked about this one a few times.
It's been shut down since July.
They decided yesterday it's shut down forever.
about 20 years in operation.
They recently settled a wrongful death lawsuit from a 22-year-old man.
They have documented over 100 traumatic brain injuries.
In the past two years.
Well, yeah, I think this.
That's like a real, that's like a pretty good chance.
But they were like no deaths, though.
I mean, what?
And then eventually this guy died.
God damn.
Yeah, that's tough.
I got another story.
It's what is this place called Codaland?
I've never heard of it, but it's in Austin.
It's an amusement park in Austin called Codoland.
One of their roller coasters broke down over the weekend.
The circuit breaker roller coaster,
19 riders experienced a complete unplanned stop.
Stopped in a vertical position.
riders were affixed there for nine minutes
like going up
not horizontal
but up
kind of surprised we haven't phased them out yet
all roller coasters
yeah
I don't think we need them
that's my hot take for the day
they seem pretty popular
in Dallas
we are celebrating the birthday
Dan of 12 year old twins
that were born here
conjoined.
At just 10 months old...
Where are they conjoined?
They were born
conjoined at the chest and abdomen.
So I already know your question...
A little bit like Chang andang.
And I'm pretty sure there's only two boobies.
Oh, it's girls?
But I don't know, yes.
And their children.
Then that's not a question I would have had at all.
Their chance of survival was just 20%
on the ESPN meter.
Right.
Momentum meter.
Their separation survival probability meter.
26-hour surgery.
And now they're back in Dallas to correct spinal curve.
They're both alive.
They're both alive.
Damn.
Correct.
So they weren't sharing major organs.
I believe Chan and Eng were.
You know, I think that they actually were.
They did share vital organs, but they've been able to figure this out.
one of them has a pig heart now
no yeah who gets the pig heart
did they have to flip for that
doesn't have to be a pig
pig heart
I think the real question is
is there's some lucky guy who only has to buy
one mum this time of year
that's a good point
will we see the mum
what do you mean
like they're disconnected
well
you wouldn't ask them both out anymore
that's the
they're now being
Yes, you're right. That was a bad point. They are disconnected.
There's some unlucky guy.
There's probably some unlucky guy.
Yeah.
So when they were playing 5 U soccer, did they count as one kid?
It's a great question. For strategy purposes.
Is this stuck on you?
Stuck on you.
Could you kick ass in the...
They were great goalies.
Potato race or whatever at the company picnic?
Probably so.
What was the movie called? What did you just say?
Stuck on you?
Stuck on you.
Let's get out of here and look that out.
The Dumb Zone News.
Like and subscribe.
That was a good news.
Happy birthday.
Thank you.

Maybe.
Replacing,

tippy toes?
That the
Matthew McConae
Little Person
movie?
This one
was sent like
three weeks ago
and I saved it.
It's amazing
that I saved
this, Jake,
from Austin.
I think the
movie is called
Champions.
Dear Daniel.
on September 30th my brother Morgan Davis will celebrate his 54th day of birth
he may be awoken in that special way or he may not what happens in others bedrooms
not really my business but he is married so take that for what you will
he is a cowboy fan so much like mr. Kemp he has taken up residence in christian
parker's large intestine go bears you guys are great
Substack is not.
I can't wait to move my sub back to Patreon.
Thank you for all you do.
Jake from Austin.
Don't like Jake from State Farm.
By the way, you can.
Yeah.
So we do, we need to get our,
we've talked about this for four weeks in a row.
We have to schedule our VIP meeting.
We have a quarterly VIP meeting that we're a couple weeks late on.
But you can go to patreon.com.
or you can go to dumbzone.com.
Now this guy, Jake doesn't like dumbzone.com.
He's saying the substack doesn't like that player.
Well, that's why you're in luck.
Patreon.com slash the dumbzone for the paywalled shows.
And Travis Gafford sends in a birthday for today.
Happy 38th to my friend and co-owner of Community Mechanical,
Drew Wagner,
his leaders are complaining about not getting any recognition on the podcast,
while at the same time hating any time he actually gets recognition,
also leader,
not knowing any current events other than what he hears on Dumb Zone,
IJB, the Brunigs, or Chapo Trapp House,
and leader Jake Geofencing.
That's a real cowboy fan right there.
If you disagree with him and Brunig, according to Travis Gafford.
Yeah, that's right.
We got guys who run HVAC companies that listen to Chapo now.
The world is a very different place.
Drew also very tall.
Flooring directs DFW presents.
Is Drew tall?
On this day in history.
They have all these Drews there.
Are you sure that's the tall one?
Either him or Chris.
Yep.
Chris is the tall one?
Chris is the tall one.
Okay, so Drew's my golfer buddy.
But they also have multiple of those.
Yeah, there's a couple of Drews.
That's the thing about community mechanical.
That's what they say.
I don't know what that is.
Pretty tall.
Flooring Direct DFW is who brings us today in history.
FlooringDirectDFW.com slash DZ.
They made it so easy for you.
It used to be flooring direct dfw slash dot com slash dumb zone.
And they were like, are these people really equipped to type all those letters?
Can we be more direct?
Yeah.
Get you right to your house.
So they bring the store to you.
Tons of samples.
They got great, great deals.
They will meet or beat any deal in DFW.
You just take it to them.
And they are DFW.
There's a lot of other big flooring stores.
around the area that are, you know, they're outsourced.
They originated somewhere out.
These guys are from DFW.
This is their store.
This is their main thing.
And that's why they have one showroom.
It's in Addison.
Or they will just bring everything to you.
That's the main thing.
Keep the main thing, the main thing.
That's what we say.
That's flooring direct DFW slash DZ.
Good dudes.
It's got a text from Rick Renner this morning.
Things are looking good, dude.
Do you have any thoughts on...
Where the defense is headed?
He does like to text me sports things now and again.
Why not?
Wait, let's... Do you want to know?
Yes.
The other day, he was...
Wait, this one's to me and my wife.
So that's... that one's about floors.
Then he will just send me stuff about sports.
His last one was...
I love all these national shows.
Everybody is missing the point.
Shottie told Dak to take the points.
Either throw it if Pickens is open or throw it out of the end zone.
It's a good contribution.
Then he said,
I'll take my chances on Pickens getting it.
ESPN thinks Dak messed up.
Stupid call.
Have a great show, brother.
It's always worried about.
Thank you, Rick.
That's some of the friendliness you get with Rick Renner.
But then when he texts you and your wife,
it'll be about the floors and everything.
Or maybe he'll text you and my wife.
that would be great to get me off of that threat.
No thanks.
I'm good, dude.
Today is Wednesday, September 30th.
I keep feeling like it's Thursday.
On this day in 1925, to explain the break,
Texas Technological College opened in Lubbock.
The school would later be known as Texas Tech University.
Maybe that'll be a new contest will run someday.
Well, let me get KT's consultation company on this.
But it'll be like if you can identify after listening to the whole show where the break fit today in history.
That's a good bit.
Thanks, man.
I like it.
On this day in 1963, John Pachorick is an 18-year-old Houston Astro got called up in the, you know, late season.
Got three singles, walked twice, scored four runs, has three RBIs, and then hurts his back.
never plays another game.
Thus, they say he is the only player in Major League history
to end his career batting 1,000.
Three for three, two walks.
That's a lot more legit than Fred Yunt or whatever Robin Yunt's brothers.
Yeah, one at bad or one pitch or something.
This is the last, 1971.
The Washington Senators played their last game in Washington, Pat,
before moving here to Texas to become the Rangers.
On this day in 2014,
I had to get the corruption out of Washington.
The first case of Ebola in the U.S.
Don't touch you, friend.
Confirmed in a patient who had recently traveled
from Liberia to Dallas.
This scoundrel would have...
Don't touch your friend.
No eating something dangerous.
It's dangerous.
It's dangerous.
Man, I'm glad I'm alive and I'm alive.
That was crazy, dude.
They were Nina Fam caught it from this guy.
Yeah.
I remember watching on the news.
They were over at the five points in Dallas,
a sprawling apartment area.
There was a guy with a hose.
I think it was over there.
It got a spray.
Just trying to power wash it off.
Oh, my dude.
Hose will probably do it.
I don't know.
We need something stronger.
You got any other ideas?
Shoot bleach at it.
And on this day in 2018, Blake, you love fun baseball notes.
Chris Davis with a K.
Who's going to get this thing to the playoffs?
Went 0 for 2 in the A's 5-4 loss to Anaheim.
He was the Oakland designated hitter at the time.
And he would end this season then with a 247 batting average.
That would be the fourth.
consecutive year that he would have a 240, in exactly 247 batting average.
Interesting, no?
Yeah.
Exciting note.
Super interesting.
It is very interesting.
Mildly interesting.
Blake's memory on that is funnier because I remember that too.
He's like, you all right, just hold him off till it's Chris with a K-Davis time.
Then they released him like two weeks later.
Yeah.
Is that the Elvis trait?
Possibly.
Is.
Yeah.
September 13.
if this day in dumbs on history.
Let's see.
So Jay said the other day that it's cool now
how we just accept people's help
and at the radio station we didn't.
On this day in 2021,
someone shipped us audio cables for the studio
because you two were having to share
one audio cable for like a month.
Yeah, I think I know who too.
Yeah, that was a good time
when you'd have to try to figure out
how to hook that stuff up yourself.
Blake's getting under the panels.
Yeah, we'll do this.
Blake would come in there.
Then Hardline rolls in, uses two cables, and just, oh, sweet.
Once we got Blake, it was great because, like, we had a secret weapon.
He was an engineer, too, and like a really good one.
Like, that's why when it was COVID, we had a perfect broadcast.
Yeah.
At least the sound, not the content.
but the sound was very clear
because he had all the stuff
and then everyone else is at home and they're like
delayed and too loud
and whatever
That's funny you say that because this
Go Blake
This is the day before
We had KP on
And remember the ticket phones were messing up
You pulled some McGiver
And we were pretty confident
That the phones were not going to work
So yeah we used Dan's cell phone
And
I think it was Sarah
Whenever Sarah Melton called Dan's phone
It was the lepricron ringtone
And then that same day, 2021, we were doing stories in the news about the,
I think it was a guy in Fort Worth who was setting people on fire.
He was setting people's cars on fire.
Well, I think he was doing people too because it said law enforcement was able to identify one victim
because he had an inflatable penis implant.
Oh, the guy was dead.
Yeah.
They found the thing.
Oh, it must be this guy.
That's not cool at all.
There should be some sort of like organ donor type thing
where you check a box and they can't tell anyone about your fake dick.
It's just Mickey.
Isn't that how they found like the Golden State Killer or somebody like that?
Yeah, breast implants had like a serial number on them or something.
You've got to file that off, you know?
Yeah.
I'm trying.
All the TF and should just wear it off.
And then in 2022, Dan went to a Kevin James comedy show with me.
That was great.
I thought it was great.
I'm glad you had a good time.
Blake had a bad time because he thinks he's so narcissistic.
He thinks everything's about him.
So he's like, oh, he's just thinking about me, how much I'm laughing.
Blake has to realize I don't care about him.
What was kind of his funniest bit, just sort of a...
It all kind of goes together.
But we were in agreeance that his brother opened up for him, and he was terrible.
Who would think a famous comedian's brother wouldn't be good?
Damn it.
Sorry, Gary.
That's great.
I would get Kevin Farley on again every day if we could.
Kevin, it looks like LSU is laying six this weekend.
All right, other birthdays.
Pac-Man Jones 43.
Good friend.
Close personal friend.
Good, dude.
Unfairly labeled.
over all these years.
Almost certainly so, you know?
Or just a story of growth.
Sam Ellinger, 28.
Big, Sam.
Coolade McKinstree, 24.
Where's he?
New Orleans.
New Orleans.
Equanimious St. Brown is 30.
Lifts a lot of weights.
Does he?
Yeah, man.
That's their whole deal.
Their dad's freaking.
Mr. Whatever.
This is a common story.
Don't look at me weird.
What?
Their dad is Mr.
He's like a big weight lift.
He's Mr. Universe.
Like Olympia or something, right?
Yeah.
Mr. Universe.
But he made a couple of NFL players.
Oh, yeah, that was...
You know where his wife's from?
Yeah, he hand-picked an athlete.
Yeah, he's German.
And he also gave his kid names like that so they would stick out.
Right.
His dad's last name is Brown.
It's Osiris, Amman, Ra.
an equanimityist saint.
And they added saint just to make it sound cooler.
He thought that'd be more recognizable.
It worked.
He was right.
Kenley Jansen, 39.
Do you think that guy ever talks to his seed?
Ah.
Does he ever release and he's like, man, you guys know.
Now go do something.
He did, right?
At one point.
Max Verstappen is 29.
I would like to compliment myself, a very rare,
moment where I would admit that I was right.
I didn't get into it.
Everybody else was like, oh, F1, man, and everybody's going to be.
And it had this thing for like a minute and then.
Drive to survive.
Right.
But there's a lot of people with blood on their hands.
It's not a bad TV show.
That's all I'll tell you.
But let's race to make sure we get into it.
I thought I was not.
Race to get a specialty show up and running on the ticket.
I mean, I didn't think it was.
I like the show.
was not bad. But you never came
in like, ah, dude, we got to do a couple of segments
on this. No, I honestly, when
it got popular again, I was positive
they had changed it. Like,
this is the same shit
for my whole life. We didn't add like new
levels or anything? They're like, no, it's just they're
hot now. Like, okay,
well, this has been
around. Trey
didn't add the pass.
Anastacio is
62. Speaking of only
going on Friday.
You know who that is?
Of course.
That is the Soroy's God.
Fish.
The lead singer of fish.
Yeah, Cash isn't in the video.
Cash.
Apparently he was filming.
It'd be surprising if he was there, even Friday.
Why would they have been showing highlights of a red jersey game?
No, that's great.
That's great on...
Yeah, they're not showing highlights.
It's a game happening.
Right.
Hey, you want all the highlights from our 9 to 2 loss on Friday?
Let's replay some of these great highlights.
Yeah, good point.
They got killed on Friday, right?
I think so, yeah.
Yes, yes.
In fact, you know what?
I don't want to put this here, but I'll do it.
Did you guys hear the Twins broadcast on Friday night?
Oh, yeah.
Jake Berger hit a home run, but it was during,
while the twins were doing a very sad announcement.
like they will do apparently during baseball games.
Anyway, here, let's take a listen.
Audra, so many times throughout this year,
you've shared these great moments between twins players and fans,
and many of them have involved Cody Clemens.
It was a family earlier in the year.
He sounds like Thor.
He was a fan with terminal cancer who really wanted to meet Cody Clemens,
and you help assist that connection.
So we showcase these players and all they do on the field,
the stats, the big swings, the home run.
runs, but the impact that these guys can have on the game and on this fan base is much
larger than that.
So we're going to drive by Castellanos and Berger just hit a home run to center.
And now it's a 6-1 Texas lead.
Anyway.
I gave you the anyway.
Anyway, I'm gold.
Clearly everyone's going to know that now.
And I agree.
Great call.
Boy, the so buttoned-up announcer that has to talk about something not sports.
Like, he had no confidence saying any of those words.
Apparently it's a childhood cancer.
Child is dead.
The big one.
Weird to hear guys with those voices.
Yeah.
It's great to have real squeaky, annoying voices.
That's what we like.
Barry Williams, actor, 72.
Brady Bunch.
Henry
Your familiarity with the Brady Bunch
Not much
Name one of the kids
Negative
Actress Fran Drescher
69 Jake
Look
Don't get mad at me
Options were limited
I was really into her
Really into her
Don't apologize
She's a famous actress
She's kind of bossy
I was into it
actress Crystal Bernard is 65.
She was born in Garland, and she was on the show Wings.
I drove past the massive cowboy hat the other day.
In Garland?
Uh-huh.
Do you feel presence?
Yeah, I felt a little pride.
What are we looking forward to driving down to Houston?
Is there some big statues or stuff we're going to see?
I mean, you'll see Sam Houston, right?
Zotic turkey.
There are many jerky options.
Don't turn into a...
Looky Lou or whatever.
Yeah, don't be a rubbernecker.
We can check crime radar too.
Once when we drove down, we did a Texas driving trip.
We had to drive by like the prison.
We went through the Huntsville prison.
You will do so this time.
Okay.
Like we, you have to veer off a little bit to get to it.
Right, but you're in the, yeah.
Wait, is that where Theranos lady is?
No.
Oh.
You're in Brian?
Yes.
Huntsville is a state prison.
What's Brian?
That's got to be federal, yeah, I would assume.
Well, I mean, she's there.
Huntsville, though, I mean, you know, there's, there was a,
there was a takeover at one point.
Maybe I could find that for you guys.
Do you know, do you recall that?
Yeah, some inmates I took over at one point and had guns and had a big hostage siege.
I don't remember what year, but it was 1974, 11 days of terror is what this documentary is called.
They were in charge for a minute.
That's a 70s thing, isn't it?
Yeah, they're like three dudes who just got in the library and are taken over and it goes on in the 70s for like way longer than you'd think.
Way longer.
Eric Stoltz, 65.
Very bit part in fast times.
Pulp Fiction then.
Tony Hale, 56, that's Buster Bluth.
Jenna Elfman is 55.
That's from a show called Darmah and Greg.
Never watched it, but as I look at it, I'm like, Blake would have loved this show.
Yeah.
I think I watched it.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I definitely watched it.
I had an era where I liked the same shows that Blake did.
I was just like nine.
Like, I used to watch all those shows with my mom.
Jenna Elfman, that might have been like the first weird woman I was into.
Because that was like her bit on the show.
Do you remember?
Or you didn't watch it.
Greg was gay.
He wasn't gay.
He was just straight-laced.
Like he was your typical, like he's a stockbroker.
He's a lawyer.
He wears a suit.
He's clean-shaven.
You were thinking Will and Grace.
But.
I was.
Darmad, Dan, is like the yoga.
Hippy.
Hippie.
Commitra.
So they're the odd couple.
Yeah.
And it was awesome.
It was like, dude, you can be a narque and still get like hot, weird pee?
Like, I thought you had to be one of them.
This is awesome.
Where am I?
Okay, four-way battle for Dumb Zone birthday a day.
I mean, at some point, this thing loses its juice.
You're copying your wife.
You're supposed to narrow it down.
I'm narrowing it down, and then I'm going to tell you the actual winner.
I'm not saying they're equal, because I'm giving the winner to won.
The Academy Awards.
I will give you the three runners up, though.
We have Kieran Culkin is 44, Roman Roy.
It's pretty good.
Love him.
Love his relationship with Jerry.
Real tortoise and the hair thing with his brother.
T. Payne.
Ah.
His 42.
Love his relationship with me.
The app.
And my app usage in the early 2000s.
Sure.
He's had a bit of a glow up.
Isn't he like DJing now?
Yeah.
He'll be at like country festivals and stuff.
Well, it's not.
opening it's not doing stadiums yeah but it's a job it's not the holiday in uh you know
ballroom or whatever you're you're still you ever hear about the time usher called him up
on his plane it's really sad actually no usher was like the man and uh so like the flight
attendant wakes d pain up and like he's at the height of his powers and he's like hey usher's in the
and he wants to talk to you.
And he goes back there and Usher basically just wanted to tell him like,
you fucking like ruined music.
Oh.
Like this,
your auto tune bit is bad.
That's not fun.
It's really ruining everything.
Was this after 88 and whatever the Kanye album is called?
I'm not sure.
But yeah.
He said it stuck with him.
He said that that is the very moment that started a four year depression for me.
Yeah, I would guess.
He's probably like usher's a hero to him, right?
Yes, he was like the king of R&B, and he's like, your shit, not only is it bad, I think it's ruining it for everyone.
Like if Troy Aikman is like, here, Jake, can I call you aside?
And I've been listening to your show.
It's terrible, but not like in just a normal way.
Like in a way people should be mad about.
Yeah, yeah.
Like you're kind of ruining the whole profession of sports talk.
But hey, go back to your seat now.
Thanks.
Troy would never do that to you.
If that's what needed to be said.
So our last runner up is Tanahesi Coates, 51.
He's a good.
How did he not win?
Enjoy the book.
I enjoy his book very much.
I also think it's a construct.
I think it's fake.
Do we have a Henry birthday of the day?
Henry is our 22-year-old intern.
All right.
This is a big one for the females in my generation.
I know that's a large portion of our target audience.
Well, a target in a way.
Maddie Ziegler is 24.
She was huge on dance moms with like Jojo Siwa and them.
And she also starred in Austin and Allie on Disney.
Familiar of that.
I'm familiar with that.
And her first movie, she was in The Book of Henry.
Okay.
Like you tickled yourself there a little bit.
What a punchline.
That's a walk off.
Toss that bat over there.
Let's just admire that one.
This woman has 13 million Instagram followers.
You need to make a new book of Henry.
She was in Forbes as 30 under 30.
Do you think she can go to the mailbox and get a check?
I bet it's substantial, yeah.
Okay.
When are you going to beat her followers?
You're all proud of how we're getting our followers up.
Maybe you should show hold, Dan.
Me?
Me?
That reaction tells me that that's...
We got this guy over here?
That's the one we want.
We got a Henry hole on a possibility and no one wants a Dan hole.
Just wait until I'm a backup on Landman.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Because they'll probably like notice you and be like, whoa, man, you got a little something different.
A little spark in this one.
A little juice.
Do you want a trailer?
You want to just come back here?
Here's Maddie.
Here, do you know Billy Bob?
Anyway, our dumb zone birthday,
the day is Gibi Haynes. He's 69.
And I heard there's a new butthole surfers documentary out.
Really?
Which means we don't just have to randomly call him.
We could actually book him.
Talk about it.
But I'd like to look into it.
Are you okay that I put him ahead of Tonehisi coach for this?
Because of the show tie-in.
Yeah.
You know, T.C. once drove him to Mr. Pepperman's house to pick up some of his shit,
and he stopped and got a 32-ounce beer on the way, somewhere in, like, Garland.
That's the place.
Yeah, if you're picking up, like he picked up the lead singer from Butthole Surfers.
And he grew up here, dude.
And his like Dodge Dart or whatever, T.C. was driving some beater.
And he's an intern.
He had to clean out the front seat to let Givie Haynes sit in.
And he's like, yeah, what if we stop at the liquor store on the way?
And he's like, oh, this is great.
Yeah, he grew up.
I lived across the street from his mom and dad.
That's right.
His dad was Mr. Peppermint.
Do you know what that is?
I guess not.
That was like a legendary, well, can you say it better than I can?
I didn't live here.
I just heard about Mr. Peppman.
It was on a little bit, you know, and like Cindy.
I guess it was the original run when I was a kid,
but it was just like a children's show.
It was just like not Barney, more than that,
but kind of like Mr. Rogers.
Yeah.
Like local, there would be local things of Mr. Rogers or everywhere.
The Elvira movie, there's a local one in every city and, you know, big city.
Born in the Stay Now Dead, Truman Capote.
wrote In Cold Blood, great book.
And Clayton, sit down.
John Schnatter is...
Chris Von Erick.
Oh.
Yep.
Says here, professional wrestler, comma, suicide.
One of the famous Von Erick brothers.
Left him out of the movie, Iron Claw.
because the director said,
well, we've already covered
four of the five deaths
of the brothers in this family,
and this one would just be too much.
You kind of feel like people get it.
And as a movie reviewer,
are you nodding in agreement with that assessment,
or would you have like to have a little more death?
If you're going to tell the story of the Von Erics,
you have to tell the whole story.
There, it's been said.
You thought he wouldn't say it?
I'll say it
Go there
Dead on this day
Still dead
Robert Kardashian
In 2003
Did he really
Did he see the tape
When was the tape
Like right then
No
He's had a heart attack
Like holy
Look how big that is
I'm gonna say he didn't see it
Okay
2007
Yeah
You ever see the tape
But it's from 2003
Is it really?
Yeah
Okay
The tape?
There's no
But I still don't
Well maybe
But
Wall on vacation and Cabo San Lucas
Maybe he did, he discovered it
That's one of Rogans
And they just couldn't bring themselves to
To release it for another four years
They went into a four year depression
Maybe so, yeah
What were you just saying?
That's not worth it
Oh
Also dead on this day, still dead
We have Dekembe Mutumbo
Do your dekeme?
No, no, no
And Pete Rose
I didn't think you'd do it
And that's what happened on this day in history.
Our closing remarks, we will think about tomorrow.
We will all be driving.
Boy, keep it on speed dial with those I-45 drivers.
And with the weather.
Yep.
Big weather rolling in.
They may flash.
We hope you don't need, but you may need to call Frankl and Frankel,
personal injury lawyers, 214 or 817, then dial all threes.
Used to work for the insurance companies.
Several people on their team did, and they know the sting of people who deserve something from a big company not getting it.
So they're here to fight for you.
These roads, they're dangerous.
Maybe one day we'll have the hyperloop, and we won't need someone to meet out all these traffic incidents.
But for now, 214, 817, 33, 33, 33, though, get you what you deserve.
Damn right, they will.
What time you guys...
You're out of order!
You're out of order.
The whole trial is out of order.
They're out of order.
I've seen them in doing that.
I'm putting the whole system on trial today.
Wow.
Anyway, what was your question?
What's your departure plan?
What's everybody doing?
I don't know.
I guess I'm going to play a little bit by ear tomorrow morning.
I want to leave before noon.
Okay.
But, you know, weather might affect.
this, I don't know.
You weren't in here earlier.
We were talking about Clayton
is actually driving you?
What's that going to be like?
Just put on headphones.
So much fun.
What's your tattoo? You have a tattoo on your bicep.
Did we do this last year?
No, I just rip you for it all the time.
Yeah, it's just a Latin phrase.
Go on.
It stands for I'll either find a way through or make one.
Just like I will find my way through four hours.
with Clayton.
Does that represent Henry?
It does to me.
He's like,
did someone make you get that?
No,
sophomore year of college.
I decided I wanted to be edgy.
And you came home,
what did the parents say when they see that?
Or did you go long sleeve
for that whole Thanksgiving?
No, I kind of just let him know
like that was something I was going to do.
You teed it up?
Yeah.
Okay, you got to tee it up.
You can't stop me.
It was something like I had started talking about
senior year of high school,
so it was planned well.
well in advance.
You also have to call me Hank.
Tell me H.
I love when people get a tattoo of a phrase of a foreign, you know, and then it's wrong.
Or like, that happens in the Chinese symbol thing, right?
I think it happens a lot.
What if what Henry?
No regrets.
No regrets.
But what if what Henry thinks it, like, it doesn't mean that.
Right.
Like, if you run into someone from Latin, is there a country called Latin?
No.
Oh, no?
Oh, you're an anal?
Right.
I don't have any fish to trade.
Why does your arm say, will you trade me three mackerel?
But we're due for a new one.
So what are you guys doing?
Driving together?
Like a couple little sweeties?
I'm going to trust Clayton with my life.
And I don't know when I need to get over there, but we'll figure that out.
I'll text you.
I'm waiting for the next charts to come out this afternoon.
The models.
What does that mean?
The weather.
There's going to be, yeah, there's waves of weather charts that come out.
So I'm waiting for this afternoon's, and then I'm going to plan.
There is a lot going on that we don't know about.
There's a robust universe.
People are looking at waves of weather charts before they take off for their...
I was thinking of taking the bullet train.
Do you want to join me with that?
I don't know why you're not flying.
It's like a 30-minute flight.
Is it really?
Yes.
That's the final form of Dan.
Called Benji.
flying to Austin or Houston.
It's probably like it less than a hundred bucks on Southwest.
PJ?
Okay.
You would.
What's that thing?
Clayton flu.
J.S.N.
J.S.X.
What's your plan?
I think we're leaving around 10.
But it's somewhat dependent on whether the White Sox have a game or not.
Our urgency will be dialed back if they don't.
And you already have tickets and everything?
Yeah.
Cheap, cheap.
Surprisingly cheap.
And you?
Friday morning for me.
Hmm.
What do we got?
42.
You have something every night, dude.
You're like the busiest person I know.
No, I just, I don't know.
See my kids?
He's trying to grab life by the box.
Yeah.
All right, well, happy business Wednesday.
Adios, mofo.
We got to go before this becomes a zoo.
See you guys for drinks later.
