On today's program, we will have a guy we have met before.
He was on a reality show.
And I believe he enjoyed it, but we'll find out for sure.
He is Bobby, Bobby Dodd.
Do you have a mic?
I do have a mic.
Oh, okay.
There he is.
I didn't know you were calling on me.
And we also, in studio, for some reason, just because he wants to stop by.
The great Chappie Kemp.
And he has brought his, from what I understand, his best friend along.
His God.
Old people can have friends, too.
She's so sweet.
My dad really only has one, though.
This is your friend?
Yeah.
Like if you say, hey, who's...
You're going to want to pull that over there.
Chapy's friends.
Just get it kind of near your face.
I know you're a little homophobic, but that won't bother you.
How's that?
Can you hear me?
Yeah, sure.
Closer to your face.
Yeah, I've got a couple of friends.
Okay.
How about now?
This is the one who doesn't play for the Bears or whatever?
Jesus Christ.
He doesn't play at all anymore.
Okay.
You won't hear that story this year.
No.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, he doesn't play there.
but his name is Greg also Greg Marshall
I've always just known him as Marshall
okay I believe uh
but you guys are thick as thieves
you're well don't hit don't
don't hit that you can hear that
please yeah sorry
uh did you want to expand on that other Greg or no
well I mean I don't know but the thieving part
is pretty relatively accurate but I don't know by
the thickness. But your buddy. Yeah. You're very good buddies. Yeah. If you had to Eiffel Tower
with somebody, it would be with... I got the secrets. Okay. Yeah. It would be with Chappie,
who's itching to talk about football and gambling and, oh. No, he's smarter than me. So,
you know, he always, you know, adds a little flavor. He's putting, he's putting rockets on the
moon. He's an engineer. Okay. Yeah. I don't know if we had a guy on last week that told us that
That's never really been done.
Greg, fake moon landing?
Yeah, we had a fake moon landing guy.
Not fake.
Not fake?
You'll go there and not fake.
You'll go.
Put me on a record.
Counterpoint.
Bold.
So why is Blake not here?
You may be asking.
Most people probably know why Blake is not here.
Today is the day that they are inducing the birth of his second baby.
He will not give us the name.
Today also happens to be the day that...
Greg Kemp's first baby was born.
The first one he knows about.
Oh, yeah, bro.
It is Jake's birthday.
Hey, Jake.
Hey, happy birthday.
I forgot to text you.
I would have used every slur in the book had you have texted me.
Did any dudes text you, happy birthday?
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Well, I hope you reacted accordingly.
Or you just know for me.
That's for you.
Okay.
That's for you.
Everyone else you lied to and said, hey, thanks.
Thanks, buddy.
My mom did put the lordy, lordy, look who's 40 sign in my yard.
She seems like someone who would do that.
And she probably heard us making fun of it on the show.
Okay.
That is why she did it.
Photo?
I think we need a photo with you standing next to it looking all gay.
I think I do have one of those looking all gay.
Okay.
But Blake's not here.
So, like, at this moment, he is in the delivery room.
Can we patched Blake?
No.
He has the link, but he has not joined.
Okay.
One of us text him up.
Text him up, saying we're looking to have him on now, Clayton.
Like, I want to see a live birth.
I know.
I think that would be sick.
Right here, we're live streaming on YouTube.
If you're one of those who is a subscriber, you can watch that.
You know what that made me think of the other day was,
do you remember how gay the summer of HIPAA was?
when like DAC was up there
like I don't think you guys know about HIPAA
and everybody was acting like they knew anything
the summer of HIPAA
like that was what we were talking about at training camp
because you know the second Blake turns that around
and is like well what up gang live streaming
the doctors are going to be like I think that's
he's dabbing on his child
well I don't know they has to be that vocal
that was probably more me
but we are hoping to
hoping to get him in the delivery room
we had his first baby
We had Hannah, his wife on, during the labor.
Yeah.
I think she gave a liner.
You had my wife on fentanyled out of her mind.
Yeah.
That's pretty great.
That's the best time to have a wife.
So I put a couple pictures in there, Clayton.
I had a really weird experience yesterday.
I was driving home from the show.
It was like 330 or 3.45 when I left here.
I was in the 114 express lane.
Uh, almost to beltline. So basically where the express lane merges with the, uh, the, uh, the left-hand lane.
And, uh, I got my oil changed recently. And when that happened, uh, the little latch that, uh, can pull your, uh, your latch for your hood.
It's down by my foot, my left foot. And I drive kind of with my foot up on the little slant on the Ford Explorer.
All right.
And the, uh, the, the, uh, the, the, the, the latch.
for the hood is right below that and last time I got my oil changed and the guy was trying
to put the plastic piece back in he was like this is broken he's like this the latch by your
foot yeah so it's latched but it's exposed okay I mean just a foot you can hit that and then it'll
if you hit it right your hood can pop up while you're driving flip up at 85 over the windshield
smash your windshield and I was hilarity ensues I thought I was dead it happened
while driving today
last night on the way home look
oh last night you can put the other picture up there
holy i was going 85 when that happened oh my god
you've never gone 85 what are you doing you're a slow driver
that just flipped up and shattered your windshield what'd you do where so here's the
thing 114 you say what you have to realize is it wasn't that the windshield was
breaking it was that my hood was up yeah and now i'm at 85 in the express lane so the first
thing I did, I looked behind me, and there's a car, whatever, 25, 30 yards back, I immediately
put on, I go tap, break, and hit emergency. And then I kind of remembered intuitively, there's
nobody in front of me right now. You actually hit the, had the wherewithal to hit the emergency
right away. Wow. And the car behind me, I would have trouble finding them. The car behind,
it's, yeah, still. The car behind me got the message, slowed down, and then, like, blocked behind me.
so that like any car that was coming would see there's something happening here
it's like two cars and they did me a solid damn so now i'm able to get stopped and i don't know
what's in front of me but also i'm in the left-hand lane so i'm up against the median i called
911 and i'm like i'm stopped i'm right underneath o'connor i'm about to dump back out under
the freeway also i think i'm dying like i was hyperventilating there was glass all over me holy
And so she was like, well, you're stopped.
Can you get the windshield down?
But I couldn't open my door because I was all the way against the median.
So I climbed out.
The window down.
Okay, yeah.
I climbed out the driver's side window while there's cars coming in the left-hand lane to the other side.
And I sort of like climbed over on top of the car and slammed down my windshield,
which of course caused the windshield a further collapse or hood.
Hood, yeah.
And then I got back in the car and I'm like, well, I, I,
I guess I could drive, like the windshield if I...
As long as the hood's locked.
Yeah, and it was.
And so she was...
Shout out to how nonchalant dispatch is in 911 situations.
Like, I guess that's what you want.
You would like a calming voice.
They're very calm.
Like, they were like, what?
Oh my God!
Get out, dude!
She was like, so you can't drive it?
I was like, well, I don't...
I mean, I guess I could.
She's calling you a pussy.
Basically.
She was like, there's an exit at like, just ahead.
I'm like, all right.
Well, I guess I'll do that.
And then as I got there, she's like, so it doesn't sound like you need the police.
I'm like, I guess I don't.
Yeah, I guess I'll just go home.
Thank you, nice lady.
And so you drove real slow home.
Yeah.
You know, I wasn't that far away at that point, but.
Damn.
Dude.
What did you do this morning?
So there's a glass repair shop a block away, two blocks away, right there on grapevine highway.
Yeah.
I just drove the car.
over there and walked home. They said they're going to fix it today. I drove my mom's car here.
So yeah. What a birthday. I almost died. You could have been dead.
And now I'll show you. You could have never seen 40. I know. I thought about it all day.
I've been thinking about it this morning, to be honest. I'm a little shook.
If you want to see what my wife got me for my birthday, though, you'll appreciate this, Dan.
It's that drawing. Are you familiar with Arturo?
Arturo draws the local Dallas, Arturo Taurus, the local.
I don't think so.
Well, this is what he does.
And, like, they're hand drawings of, you know, he'll draw you anything you want.
And I wanted that Dirk photo drawn by hand, and now I have it.
It's a beautiful image.
Is that any particular moment?
I believe that's the back down in the finals.
And if you see the real picture, you know, everybody in the world of representing evil,
the Miami Heat fans are behind him.
but in that one, it's just him, and that's how I wanted it.
Sick.
I wonder if potentially that would have been a look of photo.
Why did you just do that?
I just...
That feels as uncalled for as it's ever been.
On my birthday.
Well, you're a guy who just had a hood fly up in his windshield.
I thought you could handle something smaller like that.
Saying I was good under the hood?
I don't know what I'm saying.
Anyways, I'm alive.
Yeah, that's good.
Any word from Blake or...
he said he needs a few minutes
getting ghosted by Blake
we can't get a tight five
with yeah gosh you're in a
I mean what are you doing in there
he's not doing anything he's the guy
we've all been in the
were you in the delivery room
hell no
chappy Kemp
there's no way
that was a different year was
what year was Jake porn
40 years ago today
no
but I was with Joe
I don't always get it better
I got well
yeah I was with Joe
so in that day
So 40 years ago, what is the way here we're talking?
If we're saying what leads to scholarship in athletics,
it is dad in delivery room or no?
Yeah.
Well, he was so upset the first time when the doctor didn't put the extra stitch in
that he had to get in there for the second time.
I don't even think he gets that.
Oh, come on.
Oh, now he's all offended.
No, no, no.
No, he's saying me saying that you can get it.
Yeah, you know what it was?
I was probably busting my ass working.
No.
And so, you know, with the career that I had
and all that I contributed to this DFW Metroplex,
nationwide and intra-and transportation,
you were probably working.
Yeah, I was working.
You know, I had 4,000 or 5,000 people work.
I was probably working.
In fact, I saw Mom Sunday.
The grandparents got together.
It projects, we had a little get-together Sunday.
That's all I asked for.
And she talked about how I wasn't there walking her down the street, trying to, you know, shake it out.
Shake it out.
I was in bed asleep because I'd been working and I tried to explain.
She was probably chill about it.
No, no, no, man, not at all.
We're talking about the same person here?
No, no.
You're going to pay for that one.
She's going to hear this.
No, yeah, yeah, she's an awesome mom.
There we go.
But Joe, I was in.
But so that was just the time, I guess we found the time when society started getting like,
why aren't men in here?
Marshall, were you in?
Yeah.
You had two daughters.
Oh, yeah.
I was there both.
What year?
90.
Yeah, so a little later.
One, Danny.
Okay.
And Joe was 88.
Okay, so I guess that's the line of the 80s.
That's why I feel like I'm still cool.
Yeah.
I'm more you than Henry.
Yeah.
So I've told you this story.
Oh, Henry had his whole family and.
and live stream and everything.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
They were all in there.
Henry might have had a gender reveal for when he was born.
Possibly.
He's possibly in that era.
So I've told you this before, but when my memories of like bad radio and the ticket when you first got here.
So I spent a lot of time with my dad and with Marshall growing up, mostly going on the road to UT games.
We went to four or five a year, every year for many years.
But he has.
hated you because you, hey, hold on. You're going to have to stand on business here. And Bob,
the Yankee, the carpet baggers, you guys didn't sound like us. And of course, you were the show
as I got older than I'm like, well, that's the one for me. But I just remember hearing my first
impression of Dan McDowell really was like when I was 14 or 15 or 16. And my dad's buddy's
being like, what are we doing letting these fucking Yankees in here? Well, your dad hated me too.
yeah when I remember yeah and now you're here and now yeah now look at us I think that's a little
strong I think it's a lot strong I mean I mean it's not very good introduction Jake I mean
I'm not sure where you ever got when I did meet you you lied to me and said oh been listening for
no that's not a lie that's true he didn't say he liked it that's true I didn't have to say I
liked it or I agreed with what you said okay no but I have and that's that's a little strong Jake
a lot strong, matter of fact.
Just playing around.
Well, that's what happens around here, though.
I mean, the fact, my granddaddy, we used to say,
well, be wary of the carpetbagger.
I can't help that.
Yeah, no, I mean, if you guys get upset that I have to come here
and teach you what's right,
and it's unfortunate, but without Yankees,
you guys would still be in the dust.
Like, we invented air-conditioned.
Hey, how about you got, you idiots start, you know,
we air-condition that place.
By the way.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, how's all those blue states working for you?
Oh, yeah.
I don't know.
Let's just take a look at the education level.
How's that security level going for in the taxes?
You don't want to do that.
I'm from Ohio, bro.
I'm from Ohio.
We control everything.
Far is you want to go with politics.
He's got a pun, man.
We'd be sweating on the front porch eating black-eyed peas.
Absolutely, bro.
I don't even know what that means.
Of course you don't.
You got your head buried in the liberal side of it.
By the way, I'm not a liberal.
Well, you think Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren is good?
I think Elizabeth Warren is a cunt and Bernie Sanders is a goat.
I think there's not a liberal either.
He's a leftist myself.
I think they're a threat to this society.
Well, that being said, whenever we would go on these trips.
I thought we were just talking sports.
My dad, my dad, I got a lot of my dad in me.
But my dad's a fairly mild-mannered person publicly.
you know he's not trying to like make big waves uh but gregg marshall is like the most prolific
shit talker i've ever met in my life and i feel like that's that's kind of where i got some of me
from we'd go on the road to these games texas would get the piss kicked out of them uh one in
particular in san antonio or nebraska just destroyed them in a big 12 championship and we went to
go eat somewhere afterward it was probably like an applebees it wasn't anything
fancy and you know if you're a Texas fan in there you're kind of just taking your lumps but
he's going around to all the Nebraska fans down there and he's like they're letting you boys
eat inside in the big city at a table they're bringing and just walking around she and they didn't
know what to do because they're from Nebraska and they're just humble about it and like oh man and I
thought I like that that's the kind of sports guy I want to be we have an a guy actually that was
at Height Meilers in Waco, Texas
way home right off 35.
I mean, everybody knows the height
I do.
And that particular one table over there,
they were eating catfish.
And I made, you know,
I had a perception that there's no fish,
no water in Nebraska.
So I just, you know,
politely asked them
how catfish tasted to them.
And they had to come to Texas to get
such and that's about all it was i think i probably bought their meal that's the move right
you always talk a bunch of trash and then you buy the meal so you can get it out now that seems
anti chappie though big time because chappie won't spend money on someone else right possibly
try to get the meal comp no no no i won't do you often get stuck with the check Greg oh listen
i mean i can't go eat with this guy i mean first of all you got to go through his pockets looking
for coupons because that determines where you're going to eat today and what day it is and what
coupon we got and then if the coupon is just for like one taco in the drive-thru we got to go
inside after we get that for Greg I'm sorry to interrupt you here breaking news we are now live
we have a video feed live into the delivery room and ladies and gentlemen we have Blake Jones
yes wait can we go back to the coupon talk oh you want coupon talk
You guys throw on your headphones so you can hear Blake.
Honestly, that's way more Blake's saying.
It's not going to be worth it.
It's not going to be worth it in throwing headphones off.
Well, it's Chappie, and you do love Chappie.
I do love Chappie.
He's yelling at us about politics already.
What did you do?
I joined just in time to hear his Bernie opinions, which I want to hear more of, if he has time.
