The Dylan Gemelli Podcast - Episode #155: Is Biohacking TAKING IT TOO FAR?? The dangers of EXTREMISM!
Episode Date: August 23, 2026Episode #155: Is Biohacking TAKING IT TOO FAR?? The dangers of EXTREMISM! I have been sitting on the sidelines, watching the evolution of content being put out over the past few years in the he...alth and biohacking universe. What I see is disappointing, disheartening and frustrating. Biohacking was intended to take a stance against all of the wrongs and narratives that have plagued our world year after year after year. As time has gone on, the propaganda, forceful nature of big pharma and government, along with the way our foods are produced and handled, has made our nation the unhealthiest it has been since its existence. The intention of taking a stand with functional and holistic approaches, preventing not treating, has become not only more acceptable, but also more relied upon. The problem is that many people in the industry are becoming exactly what they despised and had initially taken a stand against! The fear mongering, extremism and cause of confusion and hopelessness amongst people listening and following has hit levels to where I have to step in and call it out. It has gone from one extreme to the other and is not only creating a bigger problem but it is causing such high amounts of confusion, that most have no idea who to believe, what to do or where to turn. What started off as a way to prevent a problem, is now creating more! Extremism at its core is made to fail. Going too far in one direction or another without any middle ground NEVER WORKS and often creates catastrophe, as we see happening right in front of our face! I was put here to have a bold voice... One of reason and one that carries reliability and trust... My purpose is clear to me and I will alway stand with the TRUTH... I am here to bring you all the very best, to clear confusion, to enhance quality of life, to end division and bring unity and most of all, to bring people together as God intended and to bring everyone closer to Him! I truly hope this message resonates with you all and that you do realize that there is hope, there is a path to health and healing and YOU CAN and YOU WILL live the way God intended! KEY Takeaways: Biohacking is about personal responsibility for health. Asking questions is essential in health discussions. Fear-mongering creates hopelessness in individuals. Health advice has become polarized and extreme. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to diet. Content creators have a responsibility to provide accurate information. Misleading health narratives can cause confusion and anxiety. Gratitude is a vital component of health and wellness. ______________________________________________________________________________ Today's Episode is Sponsored by JINFINITI The Dylan Gemelli NAD optimization protocol powered by JINFINITI: https://www.jinfiniti.com/7-things-you-need-to-know-about-nad-dylan-gemelli-v1/ Jinfiniti: Save 15% site wide with code DYLAN https://www.jinfiniti.com/dylan-gemelli-protocol/?_ef_transaction_id=&oid=4&affid=131 THE COMPLETE Dylan Gemelli Protocol Powered by Jinfiniti (Platinum Package) https://www.jinfiniti.com/dylan-the-complete-gemelli-protocol-v1/ _______________________________________________________________________________________ JUST THRIVE Probiotics Use my link below and receive 90 DAYS OF FREE Digestive Bitters when you sign up for 90 days of the Probiotic!!! https://justthrivehealth.com/DYLAN ALSO Take 20% off at Just Thrive SITE WIDE with my link below https://justthrivehealth.com/DYLANGEMELLI ______________________________________________________________________________ To PURCHASE MITOPURE visit Dylan's landing page and use code DYLAN to save 20% OFF!! https://shop.timeline.com/DYLAN ____________________________________________________________________________________ The worlds FIRST EVER Topical Glutathione at AURO WELLNESS! Today's episode is brought to you by my great friends at Ginfinity.
One thing that I've learned over the years is that the highest performers do not rely on assumptions.
They rely on data.
And that's especially true when it comes to NAD.
Everyone is talking about boosting NAD levels, but very few people actually know where their
levels are to begin with, whether their protocol is working, or how much they even need.
And that's what makes Ginfinity different, which is why I am thrilled to announce that
I have teamed up with Ginfinity to offer the new Dylan Jameli NAD optimization protocol powered
by Ginfinity. This protocol provides you the Ginfinity intracellular NAD test and supplies you
with the most complete and trusted NAD boosting supplement and protocol in existence, along with
proper guidance to ensure that you are optimizing your health, performance, and longevity.
So check out the link in the show notes and start taking control of your health today.
All right, everybody, welcome back to the Dylan Jumeli podcast.
So I know that you saw the title to this one, and you might be saying, wow, what's he going to say today?
You guys know me.
Everybody that follows me knows that I don't hold back.
I say exactly what it is.
I don't tell you what you want to hear.
I tell you what you need to hear.
And I'm seeing a lot of things right now that are very, very troubling.
And I think it's going to take a lot of people to start pushing back.
And unfortunately, I'm going to be pushing back against some of the people.
that I really respect and some people that are friends, colleagues that I interact with constantly.
And I'm not going to call anybody out by name in any way, shape, or form.
But I think that where I go with some of this, you're going to know.
It's not difficult to see.
But it's bothersome and it's becoming a problem.
You know, one of the things over time, when something goes bad or goes wrong or starts to be
infiltrated with money and bad actors and people that just have bad motives, you're going to
have a revolt, a rise up, a guy.
against whatever the negative entity or idea is going on.
That's normal standard since beginning of time.
The problem is is when the people revolting,
then become the people that they were revolting against.
And this always happens, contamination,
people that come in and either get too big for what they stand for or become
or others that don't have the same kind of motives that came out of nowhere that see,
wow, I can take advantage of this circumstance or this alliance or this uproar.
So what are we looking at here? Well, we take pharma medications, big food, all of the things that biohacking really is against is the anti, the anti-establishment, the anti-authority, however you want to call it. Biohacking is this term that gets polarized, misunderstood, misconstrued, misrepresented. People don't know what it means and people often make it out to be something that it's not. It's very simple what it really is. All that biohacking is is essentially you taking control of yourself, not just
falling in line with whatever mainstream doctors and medicine are telling you to do, this
conventional way of doing things that, in my view, is as non-conventional as it gets.
And I'll touch on that in a minute.
It's you being responsible for yourself.
It's you asking questions.
It's you looking for different ways to perhaps take care of yourself or find what works for you.
It's not a conspiracy theory.
It's not this crazy cult of people that are doing five million dollar modality.
and everything else under the sun.
There are some people that are all about their hundreds and thousands of dollars of treatments
and therapy.
Sure, they're out there, but that's not what biohacking is.
That's not what it ever was intended to be.
Biohacking is just another way.
It's just, to me, it's just like another option.
And then it turned into this movement, which is great.
I love movements.
I love being parts of things that are set out for a good cause,
that showcase and highlight different ways, different options.
See, I'm a guy that asks a ton of questions,
hence the podcast. I think one of the reasons that my podcast does so well beyond the authenticity
is that I am genuinely curious and I try to ask things that I feel like most of you want to know.
I think that my curiosity resonates with a lot of people. Here's the problem. It's been demonized
to ask questions. Over time, the mainstream or people that are in authority don't want you asking
questions. It's just due as I say. And so that's where biohacking came in. It is a entity of we're going
to ask questions. We're going to try different things. We're going to do things out of the norm,
so to speak. But where does it end? Where does it stop? Why does it have to go from one extreme to the
other, this one extreme of do whatever we tell you and it's this basic, basic setup and give you every
medication under the sun, tell you that certain foods are good for you without telling you what's in them
to now we're going to put the fear of God into everybody about anything and everything that they do.
See, here's where I'm going with this. When I ask, is biohacking gone two,
And maybe it is not so much biohacking gone too far as it the people representing it gone too far.
The main names.
See, here's what I see going on right now.
Fear-mongering.
People trying to find one study that they take out of who knows where fixed to have an outcome.
There's something crazy.
Something about putting bananas in a smoothie.
Something about how phytic acid and it cannot absorb your nutrients.
And oxalates are going to wreck you and give you kidney stones.
if you have a piece of spinach.
I mean, I'm seeing some of the most crazy, crazy concepts
that people are pushing on,
and they're doubling and tripling and quadrupling down so much
that people are feeling hopeless.
We have to stop this nonsense of going from this one extreme
to now the other where it's, shit, if you even get up out of bed,
your sheets are going to contaminate you, something in your air.
Yes, are some of these legitimate concerns?
Yes, I'm not going to sit here and tell you
that there's not toxins in your sheets.
that are potentially there in the dyes that are used.
I'm not going to tell you that EMF is good for you and that won't affect you.
But some of these people are making it out with their content to be that you literally
are better off living in this little tiny bubble that you never leave.
But then again, that air might become contaminated too.
That you might contaminate yourself by just simply breathing.
And part of it is that people have to do what they're told to do by their coaches,
their marketing agents.
All of these people now that are telling you that you have to have a hook
and you have to do all of this nonsensical, misleading bullshit
that draws people in to listen to your content
when what you're supposed to be doing is helping people.
The whole premise and point of having a platform
is to utilize it to actually make a difference.
Yes, of course, you need to do something as a content creator,
whether it's advertising or whether it's a product that you might be behind.
And hopefully, if you're buying,
a product and you're marketing for somebody, you actually take it and you believe in it,
and you've got a real reason why. You're not just throwing everything under the sun out of people.
But people out there, you do need to remember. You work for somebody too. We all have to work.
Now, it does get convoluted, and I totally agree with this, that people start pushing everything
under the sun and their content. You can't decipher whether it's an ad or an actual teaching.
That's a problem. I agree. But throwing stones at people for trying to make a living is also wrong,
especially when they're putting out a lot of content
if it's doing well and has a lot of merit behind it.
The problem is now as the content is so convoluted
and people that are putting out this content
start to believe their own bullshit.
So people that start to make these concepts up
and these hooks and these crazy thoughts about foods
and things to do with the sun
and all of these other things that you should and shouldn't be doing,
it's become so insane and so extreme
that nobody knows what to do or believe in.
I see content about foods now that make you not want to eat anything.
And people that argue and fight over how their way is better than the other way.
The vegans and the carnivores, it's like a war in the Bible between Persians and the Israelites
and the Romans and everything else.
Literally that's what it looks like on people that are just coming with different subsets
of diets.
That is what it's come to.
The oatmeal mafia will come out you if you insult the oatmeal, but then the other people
On the other side, I'll tell you that oatmeal is the biggest poison in the world.
Now spinach and all of these different greens and vegetables even.
They're going to destroy you.
They're not going to allow you to absorb nutrients.
They weren't meant to be eaten even though they've been eaten since the beginning of time.
The concepts and the craziness that some people come out with are so nonsensical
and just completely are blind to the fact that every single person is different.
This is a one-size-fits-none thing.
Yes, there are certain foundational aspects that are going to always.
apply to everybody. There's dangers in certain foods and the way that they're processed and made that are
universally not good. I totally agree with that and I'm behind that 100%. I became part of this movement
because there's so many things that we're being lied to or misled about that I certainly want to bring
to light. But when it becomes this daily thing of you cannot do anything, that you can't really
leave your home and even all of the things in your home that are hurting you, then what are we supposed to do?
How are we supposed to even live?
How are we supposed to enjoy life?
What we're doing is creating anxiety, stress, and confusion by doing this to people.
See, the people making this content don't realize the amount of stress that they're causing.
We sit here and talk about how stress kills and how inflammation is this big driver of why people are so sick.
Why cortisol is such a massive, massive problem.
I just got done discussing this on a roundtable session about how cortisol is one of the most dangerous things that we encounter.
and that caused disease, yet we're causing it by all of this crazy, nonsensical content that
people are putting out. People that are telling you that you can't touch a carb and then other
people telling you that if you don't eat X amount of carbs, you have a problem. Same thing that
we went through with this war on fats for so long. Now it's the flipping upside down of the
Food Guide pyramid and some people are so staunch that they'll tell you that fiber is going to
wreck you. That's where we're at now too. It has gone so extreme and insane. When you completely
cut out one nutrient between proteins, carbs, and fats. Yeah, there's going to probably, at times,
be a problem. Yeah, we're seeing that. But then there's benefits to using these things as tools.
There's benefits to go and vegan for a while or keto or carnivore. Look, I am not a proponent of
vegan at all, but I do see some merit for some people that have conditions. Just like I sit here
and tell people that the sun is needed, but if you have a skin condition, I'm not going to tell you
to go out and be in the sun. Certain supplements and vitamins that are out there, yeah, there's
beneficial but maybe not for every single human and not everybody needs to be taken 750 different
supplements to where their whole day is revolving around supplements our fight was against putting people
on 500 different medications yet then we go over to this sphere and we're putting them on 800 different
supplements so i ask you what exactly is the difference what is the difference you're still putting
people on a bunch of things that are creating problems because there's not synergy with 800 different
supplements. You're going to run into a problem and then what? How do you know which one is causing the
problem? You can't decipher. If you don't introduce one at a time or take one step out of time,
you don't know if you don't go through trial and error. Life is trial and error, my friends.
But when you go from one extreme to the far other, then what happens is you create more division,
more convolution, and more people that develop this hatred in their hearts and because they just don't
know what to do. See, this goes far beyond.
health, it's that division thing that goes on, where we separate people from each other.
This is a continuation of political nonsense coming into the health world.
All of these things that were brought into politics, and I don't know how long I would
even say it's been going on because I don't want to follow that nonsense, but that division
that started there to create problems for people to do whatever they wanted to do and take
our eyes off of what they're actually doing is now coming into the health world where people,
People are fighting over anything and everything.
Why in the world would you get on here and fight with people about your damn diet?
What is going on here?
Do you look at negative people and see the epitome of health?
Do you see people that say hateful things that are always angry and look at them and say, wow, I want to get like them.
They sure look healthy.
No, no.
The best vitamin that you could ever take is not one that you can buy.
It's not one that you can eat.
It doesn't belong to any diet.
It's called vitamin G.
it's called gratitude.
And when we start by lining these things up,
being more open and trying different methods,
seeing and listening to other people,
shit, somebody might be crazy.
But give them the chance to explain, listen.
I can't tell you how many times I've learned something
that I thought was crazy.
I used to do that too.
I've done it with people that I assumed I didn't like
that turned out to be some of my best friends.
I've done it with foods that I would meet for years
that now I can't live without.
We make judgments on so many things without actually.
listening or giving things a chance or an opportunity. I'm not saying you got to do everything
or fall in line with anything or agree with it, but at least be receptive and listen. And don't put
the fear of God into everybody for every little thing that they're doing. Some things are unavoidable.
Look, I'm going to tell everybody, try to eat organic or as clean as you can, get grass fed 100%
because you are what you eat. So animals that are being fed, terrible feed, soy, all of this
nastiness that they're put around, animals that are tortured and abused that have high levels
of stress and inflammation, when you eat those, it is going to pass through to you. And it's just
inhumane. So yeah, there are certain things, absolutely, that we need to look at. Avoid glyphosate,
avoid chemicals, forever chemicals, toxins that you can avoid that are in a lot of the products
that we use. Be aware of this. I agree with that 100%. But when you're telling anybody and everybody,
they basically can't eat anything, wear or anything, go anywhere, what do you think that's going to create?
Why do you have to do that type of content to get people to watch? See, that poses me with the question
and certainly don't want to throw stones, but do you have to do that to get people to watch you?
Is that the only way you don't have enough other things to talk about, other things to point out,
other education pieces? Yeah, I know, I know, I know, I know.
that some people won't watch and they won't listen.
But I'll tell you what, you start confusing people too much,
and you start doing fear-mongering posts all the time,
go read comments because I do.
I go look at what people are saying,
and it's nothing but negative.
When you promote 700,000 different products a day,
they know you can't use them all.
And they know that, well, it's just another thing
so-and-so is selling today.
I'm not going to sit here and act like I don't promote a few things,
but I try to make it very, very particular to something,
something that I know that you guys need.
I pick and choose very closely.
I don't just go ahead and try to sell you every single thing that gets thrown at me
because I don't use them and I don't believe in them and I don't like them all.
There's a lot of stuff I don't like.
I don't want to bash other things or sit here and just poke holes in everything.
It's just not for me.
For some people, I don't doubt that they work.
But certain things aren't for everybody and I get behind what I believe in.
But I also don't believe in trying to scare everybody all the time.
What I try to do is instill inspiration, give you guys hope, teach you what I know, but not tell you that you can't do anything and everything either.
When you start restricting and limiting people and making them feel like they can't do anything and everything, they either shut down or do the polar opposite.
When you're too strict, then what happens?
You make people want to do exactly the opposite of what you're saying.
There's a fine line between lecturing and teaching.
There's a fine line between putting fear into people and just,
showing them possibilities and scenarios,
but it's gone too far.
It's gotten completely out of control.
If I have to start getting you guys to watch me and listen to me
by misleading you and lying to you,
then I'm doing the wrong thing,
and my message just isn't working,
and I need to take a look in the mirror,
not at some sheet of paper by somebody telling me to say this and do that and all of that.
When people send me those things,
they go right into my paper shredder or into my garbage on my Gmail or whatever.
That's nonsense.
and picking and nitpicking studies to try to make them sound a certain way so you can get a result you want
or point out something that has a huge, massive hole in it that can easily be called out as nonsensical.
You've got to stop doing that. We've got to stop doing that.
We've got to start teaching people fundamentals and ways and means of having alternative options
that we know are being stripped away and taken away by media and big pharma and whoever else has all the money.
But don't be exactly what you despise.
don't be exactly what you're anti.
Don't become that.
That's senseless.
And I see it going on more and more and more and more and more.
And that's why I make this video right here is for the hope of being able to be a voice of reason against all of this.
And to hopefully get into people's hearts to get them to stop.
And for you guys to know that there are people out there looking out for you that actually care,
that actually are putting out things and content and ideas and thoughts to give you options
to show you that this is personalized.
You know what I know I'm talking to some of the brightest people out there is when they're open to different ideas for different people.
Here, just a scenario.
The carb thing.
Yeah, I tend to stay on the lower carb side, but I'll tell you what, it wrecks somebody like me that overtrains the way that I do.
And like my scenario of being a high-level training athlete, so to speak.
And I go too low carb.
I'm a mess.
If you're not feeding yourself what you're depleting, it can cause a slew of problems.
And staying metabolically flexible does not mean eating the same thing every single day and never switching things up before your body desensitizes to what you're doing and acclimates and then you start to have an adverse reaction.
It's just like people taking drugs to alter their body on what they're supposed to be doing.
Shutting off natural processes in the body is going to end up causing chaos.
It's not going to fix things.
So getting angry when somebody points out some of these things to you because they're trying to help you,
Why? Why the level of sensitivity? How about opening your minds and your hearts or at least
thinking? Wow, shit. Maybe I should at least be aware of this instead of getting so angry and
hurt. You get hurt when something tragic happens or there's an illness or a sickness or something
like that. You don't get hurt because somebody challenges or questions you or get offended.
Who cares? That causes more problems. It causes more health problems. And to be honest with you,
it's rather weak. I'm not saying don't have emotions. I'm not saying.
don't have feelings. We all should. I pray for compassion and humility daily because you need to have
empathy in your hearts. But this reliance on having excuses and built-in crutches because of inadequacies
and failures is ridiculous. Blaming something on everybody else or getting offended because somebody
mispronounced your name. Not healthy. Not helping anything. We got to get a little bit stronger
in certain aspects and not worry about needless nonsense that has no bearing on anything. What's
work on yourselves and then try to help others by bringing joy and cheer and love into their lives
take care of yourself take things into control that's what biohacking is biohacking is taking
control of your own health and wellness and being responsible i understand it's hard to sift through
a lot of nonsense out there i get it i get it better than anybody i do what i do because i've been through
so much made so many mistakes done so many things learn so many things you know i always say
some of the best teachers have made the most mistakes they just don't make them again and again and
And I try to humanize myself and show you guys the mistakes I've made what I learned from them, how it fixed them.
And I will always try to be a voice of reason and light and real guidance to you.
I'm going to make mistakes, but I'll own them.
I'm as accountable as they come and I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.
But I will always promise one thing that I will try my damnedest to give you the best quality information possible,
look at all sides of the playing field and the fence, break things down honestly with integrity and care,
and bring you the very best that I can. That's all you can really ask from somebody. That's it.
Have a real passion for what you do, integrity, credibility, and reliability. So there's the rant for
the day. That being said, stay tuned for plenty more to come. Dylan Jemeli, signing off.
