All right, everybody, welcome back to the Dylan Jameli podcast. Now, I have such a tremendous guest today. She is just an amazing. amazing woman. This is part two. You'll notice that right away. And we're going to expound on part one. In part one, we kind of dug deep into a variety of topics. But today we're going to do
Starting point is 00:02:30 a little bit different. We're going to touch on some of the same things, but we're going to really go even further into cellular and mitochondrial health. We're going to talk about different aspects of algae. And I'm sure you know where we're going with this. My guest today is, is the founder of Energy Bits. She's been everywhere. She's the most delightful woman around and full of energy. So without further ado, part two with my guest, Catherine Arnston. Thank you so much, Dylan.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Yes, it's been great. I think our first interview was a couple of years. And since then, I got my PhD in natural health. So I want people to know that I'm going deep and I want to take you all with me so that we can turn our lives around or protect what we have or restore what we lost. And it doesn't have to be complicated. And I'm going to walk you through the science of why this works so well so that I'll have people to hang out with when I'm 220. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:26 I love it. Well, since we first talked, I mean, you've done a ton in research. I've expounded from being a mitochondrial novice to now, I'm certainly no expert, but I've taken several classes and become certified. So I think we're going to have a much deeper dive into all of this. And I can't wait. You're one of the prime people I want to talk to you about this because I think you can attest to this. Once you start learning and understanding more about cells and mitochondria and the science behind our bodies and what they actually do, it's beyond fascinating. It's almost like an obsession that you can't get enough of the...
Starting point is 00:04:03 It is definitely an obsession. And I heard someone coined a phrase, which I think I'm going to embrace and I encourage you to, you can become, we're all now mitochondriacs. That's good. That's good. You've got to become a mitochondria because when you look after your mitochondria, they look after you. It's that simple. And the other thing is, once you understand how your body works, you have a better understanding of what it needs, what it doesn't, and why algae literally has the nutrients that unlock the key to your great health, to your great longevity. And you'll know when you've hit the truth because whatever angle you come at it, it makes sense. When you have the truth, when you have the science, it makes complete sense.
Starting point is 00:04:50 The trouble is there's a lot of noise in the marketplace. And so it's really hard to figure out who's telling the truth. And also it's just very, our bodies are so complex that there isn't just one clear crystal solution. If there was, the pharmaceutical industry would have had figured it out by now. But billions of dollars later, they still don't have it. But the great thing is, and we'll get into this, is that we're part of nature. part of the world that we inhabit. And algae is also part of nature. It was the first life on earth almost four billion years ago. It was spirulina, which is cyanobacteria. And there's something spiritual
Starting point is 00:05:26 about being the first life on earth, which is why I call spirulina spiritualina. So because when you give, when you follow the tenets of nature, things just connect. It's magic. Well, it feels like magic, except it's just natural because we're for nature. So we're going to help you understand yourself and what algae is and why it feeds and heals your mitochondria. So you can live long and lively. And by the way, I turn, I'll be turning 70. That's 70 next year. So I've been around for quite a while, not as long as algae, but I am a true testament to what this stuff does for your brain, for your body, for your energy, for your sleep, for your poop. I mean, everything.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I love it. You know, before we get into anything, I want to touch on something you brought up because I've been battling this for 15 years. You know this. You've been doing it long enough. When it comes to the industry and we're going to call it supplement industry, but we could look at it from pharmaceutical. We could look at it from vitamin, whatever. We're just going to call a supplement for the sake of this conversation. It is so troubling to me and so difficult to sift through.
Starting point is 00:06:40 and I am far from jaded because I understand and you do too because you've been doing this a long time. But you can really tell once you've been doing this a long time the difference between somebody who's selling their product and who really, really believes it, lives it. It exudes it. And that's why I love you because you fall into that very, very small category of people that I know that you really, really, I believe in it. and you can back it up. And I just want to point that out because you're rare and I love it. Well, thank you so much. And thanks to people like you, we can get a clean piece, bit of truth out to the world
Starting point is 00:07:24 because it is hard to separate fact from fiction. And when someone goes deep into the science, it takes a long time. I mean, it's taken me 15 years to figure out what I know now. That's a big commitment. And folks like yourself or Dave Asprey, you have also made the commitment to try to find the best knowledge and share it with your community because not everybody has the time to be able to do that. We all have busy lives. We have families to raise and jobs to maintain. So this is my passion. This is my path. I tell people I didn't find allergy. It found me. And I'm 15 years in. And I am more passionate about it now than I was 15 years ago because I know more.
Starting point is 00:08:07 now. So more knowledge can either make you change your mind about something because suddenly now you have new information or it can confirm what you thought was accurate and reestablished that you were right the first time because when I first spent so much time on this, I thought, well, what if I'm wrong? All these years, what if I'm wrong? And then I thought, what if I'm right? That's right. And it's not that I'm right. It's just that I was committed to finding out what was so amazing about this particular food group and why don't people know about it? And the science has been around for 75 or 100 years in some cases. Anybody could have done what I have done, but nobody did because it's a lot of work.
Starting point is 00:08:53 So yes, I am passionate here because I didn't start this company to build a billion dollar brand, although I may end up doing that along the way. I started this company to help my sister heal from breast cancer. That were it. Nothing more than that. And then I realized with my knowledge, I could help a few more people. And then with more knowledge, I thought I could help more people. And here I am 15 years later.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And we have a very fast-growing company. We're making an impact on the world. And I'm very proud of what we do and how we can help people. So, so yeah, who would want, you feel probably the same way. Rather than watching Netflix, I deep dive into PubMed. Connecting the dots of how our bodies work and what we can do to help them improve what's going on in there is more exciting to me than any grand finale, whether it's a Formula One racing, a Broadway play or Netflix movie. You know, this is real time making a difference in the world. And it's exciting to me.
Starting point is 00:09:56 My wife has to go to bed every night without me because I'm up reading. and studying and she's fine with it because she knows what I'm doing and like loves it but I it's it's like this Catherine Michael Jordan didn't stop shooting baskets to stay the best right Tom Brady didn't stop throwing passes to stay the best they do it constantly they never stop and that's how you stay well we have to stay up on research stay up on things that are being nonsensically put out in front of us and we have to be able to call that out and that's a never ending thing and it's also fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And you have to be curious. Curiosity is like, well, that's interesting. Hmm, I wonder if there's more there. So, and you can get down this rabbit hole and, you know, four hours later, you may or may not have solved your question, but you're certainly even more curious. So I'm very blessed to be curious and I can tell you are too. And so we can share the fruits of our labor and our curiosity with those who don't have the wherewithal or don't know how to connect the dots. So that's what we're here for.
Starting point is 00:11:05 That's exactly what I try to do and I live that. And I'm thankful to be able to do this with you today. And so what I want to start with is I want to really get into different aspects of mitochondrial health. I want to start from the easiest part. And then I want to get a little deeper into it, more scientific, because I know we can do that. And people, once we ease them into it, they will grasp what we're getting into. And some people are probably extremely well versed on this. But let's start from the top.
Starting point is 00:11:34 All right. Let's just give a basic breakdown of what mitochondria is. Why is it so important for us and how does it affect our long term and even short-term health and longevity? Exactly. All right. So the best analogy I give to people to start high-level is. is that think of your mitochondria as the lights in a building, and actually even the electricity in the building.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Now, in a building, if your power goes out or your lights go out, you can't very well do any work. So you pick up the phone and call maintenance, and they either turn the power back on or they fix your light bulbs. Problem solved. In your body, that light bulb and the electricity, both come from the mitochondria.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Trouble is, we don't have any maintenance people we can call when they go out. And they do go out because you need the power, the energy that's generated by mitochondria, which is called ATP for everything. It's not just, it's called cellular energy. It's not just energy to run to the grocery store or have a great workout. It's energy for your neurotransmitters in your brain, for your lymphatic system, for your digestion, for your heartbeat, for your lungs, your digestion. Everything requires cellular energy. Now, here's the problem. mitochondria get damaged from, you know, toxins, from stress, from lack of proper nutrition. And the worst part is they get very damaged and they die rapidly after the age of 40.
Starting point is 00:13:07 And I'm going to walk you through why and how, what nutrient is missing and why algae has that missing nutrient. So here's the thing. Mother Nature is so intelligent, God, whatever. you want to call it. Our bodies are so refined. We are a perfect example of a closed circuit. We have everything in our bodies or outside from nature if you live a holistic life to get what you need. And some of those things that the nature has provided us are things like melatonin that help us sleep for men's testosterone to help us be virile and help make babies.
Starting point is 00:13:46 and there's also a particular nutrient that you may not be aware of that it's called superoxide dysmutase, which is also referred to as SOD. So these and hundreds of other nutrients, macro, micro nutrients, enzymes, coenzymes are in our bodies from the moment we're born. Okay, so far so good. Now, as you hit 30, the age 30, things, some of these nutrients start to decrease in the quantity by what your body is making them. Some of them are like melatonin, testosterone for women, it's estrogen, and also this antioxidant called superoxidismetase. And by 40, the cliff is dramatic. After 40, it drops, it plummets.
Starting point is 00:14:32 And by 50, you are missing a vast majority of these nutrients, estrogen for women, when they go into perimenopause and menopause, testosterone for men. And this antioxidant called superoxidismitase. So you may wonder, why is that happening? And I'm going to tell you why. We have been on Earth for two million years. Now, up until about 200 years ago, we died at 30. Nature is so intelligent, it doesn't waste anything.
Starting point is 00:15:01 So we are biologically programmed, evolutionarily programmed to die at 30. This is why after 30, things start to slow down. And by 40, they are dramatically decreased, whether it's melatonin, superoxygenism, or in men's cases, testosterone for women estrogen. Because there's nothing you can do about it. We are evolutionary. Your body thinks you're dying at 30. So it's just not going to waste good stuff.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Women, they're not going to have any babies generally. Well, they do now, but they used to never have any babies after 30 or 40. So this lack of this superoxide dismetase is devastating. And I'm going to tell you why. What does this stuff do? Well, in your mitochondria, and I'm going to show you an image, you have all of these, sorry, in your cells you have these mitochondria. And they are gathered in high quantities where the highest energy needs are.
Starting point is 00:15:54 For example, and I have all the science references for this, there are up to 2 million mitochondria per cell in your neurotransmitters, in your brain. 2 million. That's incredible. The next highest are women's eggs, which are about 700,000 per cell. next highest is your heart, which is about 8,000 per cell, and muscles are the next highest, about 4,000. And so, the reason there's so many mitochondria in these areas is because this is where your body's
Starting point is 00:16:24 greatest energy needs are. So in your cell, you have these little peanut-shaped things that are the mitochondria. And inside the mitochondria, that's where the energy is generated, called ATP. All right? So far, so good. Here's the problem. Your mitochondria have their own DNA. We all know we have our 22,000 regular, they're called nuclear DNA, which are located elsewhere in the cell in the cytoplasm, but your mitochondria have their own DNA. There's only 37 of them. And they are located inside exactly where the ATP is produced. So now you have the ATP being produced, which is good. That creates all that cellular energy so you can think, walk, talk, breathe, whatever, poop. But inside are where the mitochondria DNA are. What people don't know is a byproduct of ATP.
Starting point is 00:17:11 inside the mitochondria are free radicals. Now, we've all heard of free radicals. Maybe you don't know. I'll explain what they are. They're a molecule that has an unpaired electron. And so nature wants to always have balance. So that molecule will steal an electron from another molecule, which to balance it out,
Starting point is 00:17:30 which that leads it unbalanced and causes tissue damage. So then it steals from another molecule, which causes imbalance and tissue. And that's how it goes. Except there are these white knights called antioxidants. Now, antioxidants are molecules with extra electrons, which they can donate to a free radical to neutralize it. All right? The problem is, virtually no antioxidants can get inside the inner membrane of the mitochondria, because the mitochondria is the only cell in your body with two membranes.
Starting point is 00:18:02 It has a regular lipid membrane, like all the rest of your cells, but it also has this inner membrane that cannot be penetrated by most antioxidants. That's why. they've done studies with vitamin C and vitamin E and found out they've had zero impact on extending longevity. Zero. That's because they couldn't get into the inner membrane. There are a handful of antioxidants that can, and luckily they're all in algae. One of them is glutathione, one of them is chlorophyll, but the most important one is called superoxid dysmutase. And here's why. The type of free radical that is produced only in the mitochondria is called superoxide. And it is a very oxidine. And it is the most damaging free radical in your entire body. What makes it so damaging? Instead of having
Starting point is 00:18:47 one unpaired electron, it has three. So it is very, very damaging. That's why this stuff called superoxide dismutase, which is an antioxidant that your body makes for you from the moment you're born, but slows down after 30 and virtually your body stopped making it after 40. This is why you need superoxid dismetase because what does superoxid dsmitase do, it neutralizes that free radical, that damaging free radical called superoxide that is only produced by in the mitochondria. Because if it's not neutralized, the free radical will damage the DNA of the mitochondria and cause the mitochondria to die. The best analogy I can give to people is when you are out in a rainstorm, if you have one of those big golf umbrellas, whether you are golfing or shopping and you pop that baby up, you don't stop the rain, but you stop getting wet, right?
Starting point is 00:19:45 Right. So think of superoxide dismetase like a big golf umbrella. The free radicals are a natural byproduct of ATP production. It's just the way it is. So when you have superoxide dismetase, it doesn't stop the free radicals, but it neutralizes them and turns them into oxygen and water. Okay, which we'll talk about that in a minute because your cell needs oxygen and water. So not only does superoxidididid mutates protect your mitochondria so it doesn't get damaged, it also keeps the cell healthy with oxygen, which is required in the final step of ATP production.
Starting point is 00:20:24 And it provides also the water that the molecules need in this process called electron transport chain, which actually is how the ATP is produced. And I'm going to walk you through that as well. So the problem is, at 40, you have virtually no superoxide dysmetease being produced anymore. And at the same time, for men, your testosterone is dropping. And for women, the estrogen levels are dropping. And nobody's probably told you, but both of these hormones act as free as antioxidants in the mitochondria, estrogen even more powerfully than testosterone.
Starting point is 00:21:00 This is why, at age 40 and 50, levels of chronicians, disease just blow through the roof because without the protection of superoxididisemitis, your mitochondria are getting damaged and dying. It's like the lights in your building go out and out and out. Like you can almost feel it in your brain. Women have brain fog so badly when they're in pari Menopause and menopause. And it's because your mitochondria are the highest concentration are in their brain. And so when you have your mitochondria dying with such speed, the first thing that you feel is your brain isn't working. It's not working at all. So the great thing that I can tell you, there's a happy ending to this, is that spirulina has the highest concentration of superoxididinase in the world.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Okay. So we have, our two brands are energy bits. And there's actually superoxidotidotase in Chlorla as well. We call it recovery bits. But the highest concentration is in spirulina. But there's a catch. Not all spirulina has active superoxide. In the mesmease in it. Why? Because it's also an enzyme. And enzymes are deactivated by high heat. Doesn't matter what kind of enzyme it is. So when you buy less expensive algae, usually it's lower priced and they need to get to market quickly. So they cut corners and one of the corners they cut is they use high heat. And that deactivates the superoxid dismetase. It's like getting a great deal on a fabulous car, except you lift the hood. There's no engine in there. So it may be there. But it's, not active. You could, of course, also get fresh spirulina or frozen spirulina because those two have also not been exposed to high heat. Anything over the temperature of 114 Fahrenheit will deactivate any enzyme. Doesn't matter whether you're cooking food on the countertop or drying your algae. So the key is to be sure that you're getting high quality spirulina that has not been exposed to high heat like ours. And there's very few companies that have this high heat.
Starting point is 00:23:05 who don't use high heat. But that's why ours works so well. And that's why doctors endorse us. That's why athletes endorse us. We fuel NHL teams, NHL teams, triathletes, ultra runners, because they get the maximum energy from spirulina. And it's not just the energy from the protein and the B vitamins.
Starting point is 00:23:24 It's absolutely critical that you get your mitochondria functioning again because they're responsible for generating all the cellular energy in your body. For athletes, it's like the fifth highest concentration of mitochondria. So not only do they generate energy for you, muscle mass is a predeterminate of longevity. Because it's sort of a circular thing because the more mitochondria you have, the more energy you're going to have, the better health you're going to have. So you will live longer. You will live healthier. So they go hand in hand.
Starting point is 00:23:59 But this superoxide dysmutease is essential for longevity, for performance. and to protect your brain and protect everything. But after 40, you have virtually zero, 40 or 45. And nobody seems to know yet that you can find it in spirulina in the highest quantity if it hasn't been exposed to high heat. And I can walk you through the actual process by which these free radicals are generated if you're interested, because it goes a little deeper into the science. But again, if you understand the science, then you'll understand what's really going on.
Starting point is 00:24:34 So do I have your permission to go a little deeper? Yeah, absolutely. I want to hear it all. Okay. So the way the actual ATP, which is cellular energy, is produced, which is inside the mitochondria, is through something called the electron transport chain. Okay. Now, the best way to describe it is I think you've probably all seen a relay race at some point in your life,
Starting point is 00:24:57 probably maybe even ran in some. So in a relay race, you have a runner who passes a baton to the next runner. And then they pass it to the next runner, and then they hope to cross the finish line sooner than anybody else. Well, the way that your energy at the mitochondria level is produced is very similar. Except instead of runners, you have these proteins. There's four of them, one, two, three, four. And instead of a baton being passed from one runner to the next, they pass electrons. And the key is to pass the electrons very quickly.
Starting point is 00:25:33 so that the final step, which requires oxygen, allows ATP to be produced. Okay? Now, as you can see in this picture, these four runners or these proteins are relatively close to one another. And so when they are passing the electrons, and when they are close together, you get a lot of ATP. But what happens from, you get a lot of electrons not being able to be passed. if there's too many. And you get too many electrons that fall out or leak out as the expression goes if you eat too many carbs. And so too many carbs cause leakage of the electrons.
Starting point is 00:26:16 So two things happen. They don't finish the pass. So you're not getting as much energy. And they leak out to cause free radicals, which causes that damage of the mitochondria that I talked about. So here's another picture. Here's a picture of a mitochondria, with all of those little runners close to one another.
Starting point is 00:26:35 So this is a healthy mitochondria. So the runners are close to one another. They can make the pass. That allows energy to be generated. And you only have a few electrons leaking out for whatever reason. However, as they leak out, and maybe as you get stressed, have too many toxins, get too acidic, run out of superoxide dysmitease, a thousand reasons that cause too many electrons to leak out.
Starting point is 00:27:01 What happens is those electrons cause the mitochondria to expand. They expand so much that now those runners can't pass the electron, the baton, to one another, very effectively. So two things happen there. Number one, your energy drops because they can't make the pass. It's like asking Tom Brady to make a pass in a stadium that's four times larger than a regular stadium. It can't be done. So first you lose energy because they can't make the pass. Number two, because they're so far apart from one another, instead of making the past like they should be doing, more of the electrons leak out and become free radicals.
Starting point is 00:27:43 So it's a downward spiral as the mitochondria get more and more damage, they get further, they get bigger and bigger and bigger. And then they go through a process which is called necrosis. Necrosis is when the mitochondria basically blow up. It's sort of, and I was thinking about the analogy because when we were kids and maybe everybody used to have this Castaneta, it's a Mexican game and you would hit it. And if you hit it hard enough, all the goodies would fall out. And that case, some good stuff. But these of mitochondria, we've got all these free radicals and probably toxins that are causing the damage, causing it to not be working properly. So when you go through this necrosis, that's not good stuff that's being exploded.
Starting point is 00:28:27 like a castaneda. That's bad stuff. That's free radicals. That's damaging. And so when it explodes, it leaks out into the rest of the cell, to the rest of the mitochondria. And this is why you get cellular damage happening so quickly, particularly with cancer. It goes very, it goes very, very quickly. So the trick is to make sure that that electron transport chain molecules, their proteins, are very close together and are being able to make the pass. And so, superoxididismitase, not only, well, algae, first of all, not only has zero carbs because excess carbs leak out faster. And in your mitochondria, the electron transports,
Starting point is 00:29:10 can't keep up with it because there's too many. There's a great video on, you can get it on YouTube of Lucille Ball. She was a comedian back in the 60s. This little clip is her on a chocolate factory, and she's trying to put, she's hired to put chocolates in the chocolate box. and they keep speeding it up and she can't keep up. So she starts eating the chocolate and she throws them over her shoulders. That's sort of what happens when you eat too many carbs or the electron transport chain can't
Starting point is 00:29:38 keep up. That's why intermittent fasting is so great because you literally slow down the excess car electrons that are being released because there just isn't food to be processed into energy. So your electron transport chain gets a chance to clean up. It's called autophagy, or it goes through healthy cell death, which is apoptosis, which is completely different from this thing called necrosis. Healthy cell death is what you want. It's when your cell goes, hey, I've been around for a long time.
Starting point is 00:30:09 I think I've done a good job, but it's time to retire because I'm feeling a little, you know, a little off. Just like someone who's maybe they've been at a job, they've worked until they were 60, you know, it's 70, time to go. So they give all their projects and their leads to the next generation. and life at the company continues. Well, in something called apoptosis, which is healthy cell death, your cell knows it's time to go,
Starting point is 00:30:35 and it doesn't explode, which is very inflammatory. Instead, it divides itself up into smaller little cells and gives away all the good DNA to all the little cells, and they continue on in the future life. No inflammation, nothing.
Starting point is 00:30:51 That's what you want for, and that's what you get when you have a healthy cell. In comparison, cancer cells are not healthy, nor are senesin cells, and cancer cells can't go through apoptosis. So you want things that are going to keep the cell healthy. Superoxididiginase not only protects the mitochondria from the free radical damage by ensuring that the free radicals that are leaking out are not damaging the mitochondria. It's converting it to oxygen and water, which you're. cell needs anyways to continue the process of cellular energy production, which is called ATP.
Starting point is 00:31:33 So it does two things. It's a closed loop. It protects the mitochondria and then provides the cell the oxygen needs for the last step and the water that it needs to protect those proteins. It's called easy water, exclusionary zone water. We can talk about that more. So it's pretty interesting to me that you get all of this from from from from spirulina but only if it has not been exposed to high heat and then you're not getting any of those benefits so is a lot of or most all everything out there exposed to the high heat and and how is how difficult is it to go through the process as you go through so that people can understand what it takes for you and how did you even figure this out because I understand about cutting corners. I mean, most big companies are going to do that, but most people would never have a clue about what you're talking about. Yeah. Well, it's a result of I, I get at the very beginning, I was just so curious about everything. Why? Why was our algae working better than anybody else? And so I started looking at the nutrients found in algae. So a disclaimer, in case the FDA is listening.
Starting point is 00:32:50 All of these benefits that you achieve from taking algae is not actually from the algae. It's from the nutrients found in algae. For example, superoxididis mutase. There are 25,000 studies documenting that superoxidism is absolutely hands down, no question whatsoever, prevents inflammation, protects mitochondria, stops Alzheimer's, stops dementia, prevents heart disease, prevents cancer, The list is endless and it's all scientifically proven. The problem is nobody seems to know that you can find superoxid dysmutease in spirulina
Starting point is 00:33:29 because it's not found in any other food or it's found in such minuscule amounts. Like we have in one of our tablets, which are about the size of a baby aspirin, there's 7,000 times more superoxidismitase than you can find in cabbage. cap, and by the way, any superoxidididemitis that's in vegetables gets damaged by your stomach through the digestion process. And the great thing about spirulina is that it's not even a plant. It's a bacteria. It's called a cyno-bacteria. And why is that important? Because it will get absorbed into your bloodstream in seconds if you chew it. I do. Most people do swallow it. Then it will take minutes to get absorbed. So this is why I really promotes Purellina for mitochondria health, which will help
Starting point is 00:34:21 protect your health from lung any issues, accelerated aging or help you regain it, because it goes to work so quickly because it can get access to your cell, your structure, and your mitochondria instantly. So how did I figure it out? It just kept asking questions, kept reading and reading and reading. And then I'm just curious. So for example, I hope you're curious. You think to yourself, well, why is it that the mitochondria have two membranes? And why is it that inner membrane is impenetable by virtually anything? By the way, drugs can't get in there either. So I was curious.
Starting point is 00:34:59 And I just kept reading and reading. And I found the answer. And this stuff is so amazing. You couldn't make this up if you tried. So remember I said Spirilina was the first life on Earth is a case. I know bacteria. And it's been on Earth almost four billion. years. Before Spirulina
Starting point is 00:35:17 and Sinai Bic, Earth was just gas and water. There was no life, nothing, and no oxygen. Nobody knows why this anaerobic, which means grows without oxygen, it was an anaerobic single cell started growing. But it did,
Starting point is 00:35:32 and it generated ATP and a byproduct of ATP is oxygen. Remember talking about the oxygen and the SUV? So after a billion years, there was now a lot of oxygen on Earth. So now the anaerobic cell that did better without oxygen was struggling. On the other hand, now there was oxygen, so larger cells started growing, but they weren't generating ATP as well. So I sort of joke
Starting point is 00:35:58 about the conversation between the large aerobic cell and the small original anaerobic cell going something like this. The big cell says the little cell, hey little guy, I see you're struggling over there. And we're not making ATP as well as you are. How about you come and join forces from us? protect you from the oxygen and you can generate ATP for us. I'm not sure about the conversation, but in the 1960s, this was proven by an MIT professor, and it's called endosymbiotic theory. This is the evolution of your mitochondria. Proven, proven, proven, okay, but you've never heard anybody tell you this. I thought, I felt like I won the Nobel Prize when I discovered this. Anyway, so here's a picture.
Starting point is 00:36:39 This is your little anaerobic, your anaerobic cell, cyanobacteria that started growing almost four billion years ago. After a billion years, larger cells could grow, but they weren't generating ATP as well. So they absorbed the original cell and guess what? It became your mitochondria. But when it got absorbed, the original outer cell never disappeared. The bigger cell just put a lipid membrane around it, just like all your other cells, and kept the original cellular membrane. That's why there is a second membrane on your mitochondria and not in any other cell in your body. And this is why algae feeds your mitochondria everything it needs because generationally they are related. It's called endosymbiotic theory.
Starting point is 00:37:30 It's proven in science. How unbelievable is that? Very. I want to touch on a couple terms and then I'm going to get into more along the lines of Barolina, Clorella, benefits, you know, how they're synergistic, why you need them both. But just a couple terms because I study these and I want you to discuss them very quickly. So I want to discuss mitophagy, autophagy, and senescent cells just a breakdown of what that all means so that we can understand and how that correlates. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Okay. So autophagy, which we mentioned briefly, is basically your cell cleaning itself. I don't have children, but I have family who have teenagers. And anyone with teenagers know they're out late at night. They come home, they drop their clothes on the floor. Then they go out the next day. They come back down and drop more clothes on the floor. After about a week, you can't see the floor, you can't see their bed, can't see anything.
Starting point is 00:38:25 It's just a big mess. And finally mom puts her foot down and says, you clean your room. And then maybe when they finally clean the room, they found some lost money, maybe lunch they forgot to have. But basically, you know, things are restored and things work. out better. That's what autophagy is. Your cells are so busy making more cell structure, helping the mitochondria, move around, connect with each other, communicate. There's free radicals that they have to deal with. There's toxins. The average adult has 700 toxins in their body. Now they have to figure out how to get rid of them or they can't get rid of them. They're trying to fight off
Starting point is 00:39:01 acidity because acidity in your cell indicates there's a lack of oxygen and pH is too high. So cancer cell. So your cells are really busy. So autophagy is critical to keeping them clean so they can be optimized. But if they're constantly busy because there's too much free radicals escaping because they're eating too many carbs, you're too exercising too much, you're too stressed or too many toxins, that never happens. And so that's what causes the cell to get sick and reach this stage where it can't handle the acidity, the toxins, the free radicals, and explodes, called necrosis, which then spreads all the free radicals and all the toxins to the rest of the mitochondrial cells. So that, that's why autophagy is important. And the way you get to autophagy is a couple of ways.
Starting point is 00:39:54 You can get, you can do it through coal plunges or cryo, which helps the body cleanse. And then you want chlorilla. And when it's cleansing, it's getting rid of toxins. So guess what you need to have after your coal plunge or your or your sauna or your cryo is clorella. Chorella is the cleanup act. It will get rid of all the toxins that were released during that process because you don't want them released and then just reabsorbed, right? You want to get rid of them. Another way is through intermittent fasting because as I mentioned earlier, not digesting.
Starting point is 00:40:25 So the number of free radicals and electrons in the electron transportane is reduced. So now the cell has, oh, oh, I'm not so busy trying to, you know, do a, BC, now I can actually start, you know, cleaning up and getting back to health. So that's, that's really another really great way to do it. So cryo, coal plunge, red light therapy is really good because it increases ATP production and reduces inflammation. Anything that helps the cell produce more energy efficiently is a great way to do it. And again, spirulina also improves autophagy because there are zero. It also has that superoxystimitase that protects the free radicals,
Starting point is 00:41:09 brings restores, and brings more oxygen and water into the cell. It has glutathione that helps reduce other ROS, which are free radicals. So it's very much an autophagy-friendly food, and it does not break your fast when you take it. So that's autophagy. Now, mitophagy is a specialized version of atopathy. It's the mitochondria, because they want to clean themselves up too. You know, it's just like, you see your cat or your dog, they're looking themselves, they're cleaning themselves. Well, your mitochondria want to do the same thing.
Starting point is 00:41:47 But mitophagy is also the way that mitochondria either multiply or shrink in quantity. they go through a slightly different process. There's two methodology. One's called fusion and the other one is fission. Fusion is when the mitochondria says, oh gosh, I'm feeling a little sick here. Got too many free radicals. I think I'm going to merge with another mitochondria and who have the stuff that I don't have. And when we do that, we will be healthier because we fused ourselves.
Starting point is 00:42:25 It's almost, I got to run a company and, you know, there's only so much I can do. I need to hire other really great people who know stuff that I don't know. And so together, I say, we're better together. So when your mitochondria go through fusion, they're better together. And they can live longer and do well and contribute more cellular energy for you. The other is called fission is when they divide. And that's when they multiply and they make sure that the DNA is, They create a little, they basically separate into multiples, into multiples.
Starting point is 00:43:05 But this process of fusion or fission is not possible when the mitochondria are suffering and are damage from free radicals because nothing works properly. So they either don't multiply or they don't properly fuse to maintain the health of each other. So because spirulina has these nutrients, superoxidismase, and glutathione and chlorophyll, which are all very cleansing and get in there, it facilitates the fusion and fission process. Because your mitochondria, even though there's only 37 of them, they control all of your other DNA, they control all of your 22,000 DNA and all of your cellular communication. So it's very important that you keep your mitochondria and the mitochondria DNA healthy. They're sort of like the air controllers at an airport. There aren't many of them, but they control everything at the airport.
Starting point is 00:44:02 So there's not many mitochondria DNA, but they're like prize fighters. They're like stallions. I mean, you need to protect those, and you protect them by your lifestyle. I tell everyone, I don't ever eat alone. I always eat with my mitochondria. So whatever you're eating is either good for them or not good for them. Whatever you're doing, exercise is terrific, especially if you do high intensity, and then, you know, intervals, things that strain the mitochondria, strengthen that.
Starting point is 00:44:31 That's why cold plunges are good. Or sauna or red light. It's putting, well, maybe not red light because that doesn't strain them. But the cold plunges in the cryotherapy do strain them. So it's strengthened them. So that's autophagy and mitophagy. And what was the third one? I can't remember.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Oh, senescent cells. Okay. All right. So senesin cells. So your cells are called. constantly subdividing and redividing, and that's where you're, and they can only do about, they think they've measured they can do it like 50 times. And each time they subdivide, the little telomeres that are the things that protect your DNA get a little shorter each time.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Somebody made the analogy on your shoe strings in your running shoes. It's like that little plastic thing on the end of the shoe string that makes it prevent being unraveled, right? When you lose that little end of your shoestring, sometimes the shoe strings frays and it gets messy and doesn't tie up as well. So your telomeres are these little things that are mittens, if you want to almost think about them, that protect your DNA. But as your cell subdivides, the telomeres get shorter and shorter and shorter until the very end the DNA is exposed, which causes cellular damage. and after about 50 subdivisions and the DNA is starting to get exposed to toxins, which cause, you know, DNA damage. The cells just, they don't, they hang around. They're inflammatory because they're loaded with, usually loaded with free radicals and toxins because they just got fatigued after 50 subdivisions.
Starting point is 00:46:12 But they don't die. And because they're around and they're toxic and inflammatory, they cause inflammation in their. surrounding cells. So you want to get rid of them and you get rid of them through apoptosis, which is that healthy cell death, which can be stimulated through intermittent fasting, the cryo, the cold plunges, anything that helps the cell heal. Now, I have another interesting thing that you need to know about on the senescent cell. I'm glad I was almost going to forget about to tell you this. Again, Mother Nature provided us as absolutely crazy. So remember when I told you about this electron transport chain, and there's four main molecules in here that the electrons
Starting point is 00:46:53 pass from one another. Well, I didn't mention, but there's this little helper molecule. It's called cytochrome C, which I'm sure you've never heard of before. And it's a, it kind of, on a healthy cell, when the electrons are coming along, the blue pigment in the spirulina, not found anywhere else. By the way, way, way, way better than methylene blue for a thousand reasons. But anyways, the blue pigment in spirulina speeds up that cytokrome C molecule. It's like having a Ferrari. So it moves the electrons across faster, which of course generate more energy for you, which is one of the many reasons why you get energy from spirulina because of the blue phycosyanin that speeds up the cytochrome C molecule so you get faster movement of electrons which generate more ATP. So far so good. Here's the
Starting point is 00:47:47 cool thing. In a senescent cell or a cancer cell, the blue phycosinin can detect that it's a cancer cell or a senescent cell. And instead of speeding it up like it does in a healthy cell, it ejects the cytochrome C molecule, which triggers something called cap hazes, which triggers this thing called apoptosis. Now senesin cells can't trigger their own apoptosis, nor can cancer cells. The blue phycosinin does it. Unbelievable. This is why I call spirulina intelligent food, because you have to be intelligent to take it, and it knows what to do in your body. And I have some science papers. I can show you one of them of an experiment where they put, they had cancer cells, it could have been senescent cells, in a petri dish, and they dyed the cancer cells purple,
Starting point is 00:48:43 and then they put the phycosinin in the petri dish, and within 24 hours, the cancer cells were all gone. Gone. And the chemotherapy companies know this. They put phycosinin in their treatments now. Here's the experiment. Here's the experiment. Here's the petri dish.
Starting point is 00:49:03 They dyed the cancer cells purple. They put some phycosinin, which is spelled P-H-Y-C-O-C-C-E. C-Y-Y-A-N-I-N. And I want you to know how to spell it so you can Google it and find out, right, phycosinin and cancer treatments. So they dyed the cells purple, put the phycosinin in the petri dish, and 24 hours later, cancer cells are virtually all gone. So the cancer treatment companies that use phycosin in their chemotherapy treatments,
Starting point is 00:49:32 do you know how they measure whether the cancer treatment is working? They measure how much cytokrome C is in the bloodstream. because if there's a lot of cytochrome C, they know it's been ejected, which killed the cancer cell, because it goes through apoptosis. I don't know anybody who wants cancer chemotherapy treatments. So Mother Nature has provided us
Starting point is 00:49:55 with the opportunity to kill cancer cells every single day when you take spirulina. It has but sput cytokrome. This whole blue phycosyanin, I've found some research, is also deactivated by high heat. So if you get the cheaper algae and if they use high heat, most of them do. And if they're made in China and India, you aren't getting active phycosycinin.
Starting point is 00:50:18 But again, you could get frozen or fresh spirulina because that has not been treated with high heat. But ours is a raw spirulina, same with chloralec because we do not use high heat. So you're getting all of the active powers. But how cool is that? You absolutely want to get rid of, you absolutely want to get rid of senescent cells. We always have cancer cells in our bodies. it just is the way it is, but if you have a strong immune system, and if you have strong and lots of mitochondria,
Starting point is 00:50:46 and who does these days, normally if you had both of those, your body would be able to keep the senesin cells and the cancer cells under control. But this era that we live in with excess toxicity and lacking of nutrition and the loss of superoxidismutase after the age of 40, most people are predisposed after the age of 40, to develop chronic disease.
Starting point is 00:51:12 And the great news is it doesn't have to be that way. It's as easy as opening your mouth and taking a handful of spirulina tablets, preferably ours because they will work for you every single day. And it's food. It's not a supplement. It's not a drug. And it does all these amazing things. Naturally.
Starting point is 00:51:33 Absolutely naturally. Amazing. Yes. Thank you for that breakdown. So that was insightful and helpful. And, you know, those are terms that get thrown around that people don't really understand or know, especially in deep detail. And you broke it down very nicely, so I appreciate it. So let's do this then with the time left that we have.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Let's talk about the correlation and synergy between spirulina and Chlorla, why you would want to take them both and is one more necessary than the other. I know that you love them both and you're certainly have good reason for that. But just break down the synergy and then if you need to really, if you had to pick one, prioritize one over the other, I know ideally you would do both. But let's get an understanding of that. Okay. Well, I know a lot of your listeners are involved with sports. And so I've come up with a really great analogy, especially for team sports,
Starting point is 00:52:34 that I think everyone will understand. Spirulina gives you energy, focus, and allows you to live optimally, operate optimally. And in sports, especially team sports, think of that as your playbook for your offensive team. Your offensive team needs to be out there, making stuff happen,
Starting point is 00:52:57 and that's what spirulina does for your body. It's your offense playbook. Chlora is quite different. When you have your defense playbook, it's all about protecting what you have, ensuring that nothing gets in football or soccer, no player breaks through and gets to the other goal. So that's what Chlorella does. It protects you. It removes any invaders, heavy metals, glyphosate pesticide, alcohol, lactic acid, it removes them and protects your body and your immune health. So think of spirulina as putting as your offense team and chlorophy your defense team.
Starting point is 00:53:38 And on the offense team, the key is that it's the highest protein in the world. So it builds your bones. It builds your muscles. It's loaded with essential fatty acids and your brain is also mostly fat. It has the very high concentration of superoxidididivase, which protects your mitochondria. So you get all that energy to be out there playing it in the game of life because it is the game of life. So Spirulina is for nourishment.
Starting point is 00:54:04 So think of nourishment in and energy and gives you energy. And you usually want that in the morning afternoon and as a pre-workout. So it's your offense playbook. Chlrella has the highest chlorophyll in the world. Chlorophyll kills bacteria. It also has a heart cell wall that is the one that attaches to all those heavy metals, glyphosate pesticides. It has fiber that spirulina does not because it's a bacteria. It has fiber that.
Starting point is 00:54:31 feeds the gut biomes so you can get those short-chain fatty acids to help build your immune system, which, by the way, is mostly in your gut. By the way, also, Chorella stimulates bowel movements, also known as peristulses. So it's very, it's not just detoxing through your blood and through your sweat, it's through your bowel movements. Because if you want to get rid of what I call the junk in your trunk, because if you don't have a regular bowel movement, the things that are sitting there are things your body didn't want. And if you don't have a bowel movement, your blood circulates around and recirculates the toxins. So Chlorella is a, will stimulate that to remove that. And it has the highest triptophan in the world, which is a precursor of melatonin,
Starting point is 00:55:14 which will help you get into your deep sleep. So that's why it's very much a toxins out. Spirulina is nourishment in. Norishment in, toxins out. And the reason why you need both, both of them, Just think about it. I used to live in Boston. I lived in Boston for 35 years, and during the wintertime, particularly, parking spots are at a premium. So a lot of people, you know, pay big money to have a parking spot or they put snow cones around their spot on the street. But not everybody's plays by the rules, and sometimes someone would take their parking spot. Well, even if they paid for their parking spot, if somebody else is in there, they can't park.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Right. Toxins are the same way. The chloro will pull out the toxins that are sitting on what's called reshue. receptor cells on your cell walls so that the nutrients can get in. And if you if you don't pull out the toxins, it's harder for the nutrients to get in. And when you have too many toxins, in the old days, when we had radios in our cars and you were in between stations, you would get this static sound that sounded like, right? I'm old, so I can tell you that. So that's what's going on in your body when you have too many toxins. The cells can't communicate properly. They can't, nothing works
Starting point is 00:56:27 well. So we want to get the toxins out so the nourishment can go in. So spirulina, think of spirulina AM. Clorella is PM. Again, brand names are energy bits for AM. Clorella is recovery bits. So spirulina is an AM algae. Chlorla is a PM because when you sleep, that's when your body repairs and detoxes. So we want you to have the best repair possible and the best detox. Another way to Think about it is spirulina because it heals your mitochondria and you have the most in your brain. Think of spirulina as brain food and because your gut and your immune system is primarily in your gut and Chorella has fiber and detoxing and stimulates peris solstas. This is gut health.
Starting point is 00:57:12 So spirulina brain health, Chorella gut health. Spirulina free workout because you want energy for your workout. Chlorella is post-workout because it pulls out the lactic acid so you won't have doms. Also, any athletes you know when you're pushing yourself hard for a game or a big race, it's hard on your immune system. So this will support your immune system. That's why the NHL players, I think, take 75 chlorola after a game and 75 spiraling up before a game. So they get the attention and the energy for the ice and they get rid of all the toxins that build out all the lactic acid. And as face it, hockey players like to drink beer.
Starting point is 00:57:50 So this will prevent them from having a hangover before they get to the next game. So they work really well together. Now you ask me if you could only choose one, it really depends on what your goal is. If you want more energy, if you're facing a chronic illness or you had one and you want to restore your mitochondria, if you don't have time to eat lunch, 30 of these would be lunch. You wouldn't be hungry for hours. So for nourishment, energy, prevention of chronic or accelerated aging, mitochondria help spirulina for short, slam dunk every single time. By the way, they're great for kids, pets, any age group, no drug interactions whatsoever, zero.
Starting point is 00:58:34 So I generally start people with spirulina because also it doesn't take long to notice a difference. Within half an hour, I call it quiet energy. You're not going to, it's not a stimulant. So it doesn't, you don't get a rush or a crash. You'll just feel fresh. That's it. But you'll feel fresh. And if you're working out, you will run longer, lift more, and you won't even notice it.
Starting point is 00:58:57 It's effortless, quiet energy because it's at the cellular level. It's like putting a log on the fire. Very steady energy. Simulans are putting like paper on a fire. You get a burst in the crash. So that's spirally enough if you want energy, focus, hunger. Also, if anyone's on a GLP1, please take this because this will protect your muscles from muscle wasting, even if you're on weight loss. This will satisfy your hunger, stop cravings, give you all the nourishment.
Starting point is 00:59:24 There's 40 vitamins and minerals and highest protein in the world, three times more protein than steak. It's a complete protein, has 18 of the 20 amino's. Chorella, however, if you are worried about toxins, if you're doing a detox, if this is your biggest issue, or if you're constipated, and let's face it, people who are on medications, eating too much dairy, They're traveling. They're stressed. They're usually constipated. That's clorella. Spirulina will not help with bowel movements. Only chlorilla. So, chlorilla is for detox post-workout. If you're having, they both help with anemia because this will build your blood, but this will, the chlorophyll chemical composition is identical to your blood. So this is really good. So this is very much a cleansing, detoxing algae. We've had people in Vegas tell us it saved their bachelor's party. because they took it and they felt great the next day. So this is very, very powerful for health purposes. This is for nourishment mitochondria purposes.
Starting point is 01:00:24 So quantity-wise, 10 spirulina and 10 chlorilla, either together or individually, we'd sell the products in different shapes and sizes. We have little pouches of 30, or we have the best value are the large bags that come with 1,000 tablets. So if you bought a thousand a bag with 1,000 tablets, thousand tablets and we have a 20% discount code for your listeners. It's, it's Jameli. It works out to,
Starting point is 01:00:49 10 tablets work out to a dollar a day, a dollar a day to protect your mitochondria or restore them to give energy to satisfy your hunger. I mean, it's pretty sweet. Get, you know, even coffee costs you $5. So it definitely is, you know, really affordable. However, if you have a health condition or if you are, if you want lunch, or it is people are busy, they don't have time to eat, This would be lunch. 30 tablets would be your therapeutic, athletic quantity. And if you're doing any biohacks at all, red light, sauna, coal plunges, cryo, and I encourage you to do all of them or some of them, always take the spirulina before
Starting point is 01:01:30 because it gets absorbed so much faster. And even if it's just 15 and then take 15 later on in the day, and then take the chlorella afterwards because spirulina will get into your body so quickly it will nourish the cells while you're having your biohack, your hack, whether it's the cryo or whatever or coal plunge. And then Clorella is the cleanup crew. So it will go around and pick up all the toxins that were released during the sauna or sweating or the cold plunge. So 10 for just basic nutrition, 10 chlorella for basic immune health.
Starting point is 01:02:08 but 30 for nourishment and optimal benefits, and same with Chorella, 30 for proper detox. Now, I will tell you, when you take these, any quantity, especially spirulina, 40 vitamins and minerals. I mean, you can't argue with that. You can get rid of about six of your other supplements. You're multi, please stop taking fish oil. It's probably rancid. Anyways, collagen powder, you don't need that because this has more collagen than collagen powder. a biotin, a co-cutin.
Starting point is 01:02:39 It's unbelievable how this will replace a lot of your supplements. And guys, listen up. When you take Chlorella, particularly, maybe spirulina, but definitely chlorale, you never have to eat another vegetable again in your life if you don't want to. Why do we eat vegetables? The fiber, this has fiber, for chlorophyll and phytonutrients. This is the highest chlorophyll in the world, 500 times more than arugula, nothing in the world with more chlorophyll than aurula, than chloroella.
Starting point is 01:03:05 and for bowel movements because of the fiber. This does all of that, all of that. So, people, you know, kids and men in particular, they jump up and down. Are you kidding me? I never have to eat vegetables again. But you have to take it every day. So, and in both cases, your grocery bills will decrease. Your supplements bills will decrease.
Starting point is 01:03:26 The time that you require for preparing, getting proper nourishment, because not everybody has time to cook a proper meal. And carnivores, by the way, these are first. you too. Why? Because there are no lectins or oxalates in algae. Lectons and oxalates are in plants in very high contact quantity in things like kale. Please stop eating kale. Spinish, please stop eating cats. Because what they do is the plants develop these lectins and oxalates to protect themselves from predators like bugs and animals because they upset their stomachs too, just like they upset ours. They can puncture holes in your stomach lying. Well, algae's never been a land plant. It came from the
Starting point is 01:04:04 ocean. That's why I have an ocean on the, I designed all the packaging. So no lectins or oxalates. Even Dr. Stephen Gundry applauds, applaud spirulina and us for that reason. And we want our carnivore friends to still get the benefits of the chlorophyll, which build your blood. It's just that simple. So, and also to get the superoxidididiumase. You can't get superoxidinase from anywhere else. It just is, it just is that way. So whether you're vegan, carnivore, Low carb, low carb, low cal, this works for you in every, I can't find a single downside, with the exception that maybe it doesn't taste so good. So most people swallow the spirulina.
Starting point is 01:04:46 But the chlorilla tastes great with pistachio nuts or sea salt or macadamia nuts. Really terrific snap. So nourishment in, toxins out. Nourishment in for spirulina, toxins out with chlorilla, AM for the spirulina, PM for the Clorella, pre-workout for spirulina, post-workout for Clorella. And depending on whether you want, focus and energy, spirulina would be my go-to or for mitochondria health. And Chlorella is your key algae for detox and immune health.
Starting point is 01:05:14 So you also have beauty bits, vitality bits listed on your website. So what's the difference for those for people listening so they understand when they look at? So I started the company, as I mentioned, to help my, to help my, to help my, to help my, sister heal from breast cancer, her oncologist, which is a cancer specialist, told her to change your diet to an alkaline diet because it would be important for her healing. So this wasn't her neighbor or her yoga instructor. It was her cancer specialist. So my sister followed her directions, but they didn't tell her what an alkaline diet was, so I helped her figure that out. Bottom line, women's health has been very important to me. And so when I started the company, I noticed that
Starting point is 01:05:55 women just weren't buying the spirulina. And my friends said, well, you got to make it pink and give acute name. And because it heals your skin, your hair, because your skin and hair and your nails are all protein, the different types of protein, there's nothing in the world with more protein than spirulina. And also the free radicals protect your skin because you get free radical damage everywhere, not just in your mitochondria, in your organs, but also in your skin. Your skin is your biggest organ, by the way. So I made a prettier version of spirulina and called it beauty bits. But it's absolutely identical to energy bits. But I figured, you know, if car companies can have a blue car and a red car because different people like different colors, I can, you know, I, and you, I, you mentioned
Starting point is 01:06:42 earlier, I refer to my, or maybe you didn't, I refer to my brands as my children. So I call spirulina energy bits and beauty bits my twins. They are absolutely identical. I'm not trying to trick anybody, but women do love the packaging of the beauty bits, but it does exactly the same thing as the energy biz. And then for some people who just want simplicity, they like both of them and they can't, they don't want to have to think, oh, the blue one in the morning and the green one at night.
Starting point is 01:07:10 So to make it easy for them, we created a brand called Vitality Bits, which is a blended tablet. So it has, it's 50% spirulina, 50% chloro. It's all mixed into one tablet. And for people that are traveling, we find people who are older,
Starting point is 01:07:25 just want simplicity. So they like, they like that one. I have a funny story, a friend of mine who's actually a heart surgeon and his wife is a chiropractor. They sent me a really cute video a while ago. They were babysitting their neighbors, raccoon. I didn't know people had pet raccoons, but this was a baby raccoon about the size of a little baby kitten. And this particular family loves the fatality bits.
Starting point is 01:07:49 So they showed me a video. They put a few little tablets on the floor. And this little baby raccoon just scattered up to it and gobbled the tablets down, which I thought was pretty, funny, but it got even funnier. Because then they put the whole bag on the floor with it open. And that raccoon just went right into the bag and we never saw it again. It's probably still eating the tablets. So even the animals know that this stuff is good for them. And honestly, they're smarter than we are in many cases. So I just want to let people know that algae is here for you. I even wrote a little booklet called The Algae Love Story.
Starting point is 01:08:29 because algae will love your body back to health. And we have them available. We'll make sure we send what you one, Dylan, if you haven't got one. Because everybody needs love and love is nourishing, so is algae. Love is proven, so is algae. Love gives you life, so does algae. Love is healing, so is algae. Love is energizing, so is algae.
Starting point is 01:08:51 It's effortless, so is algae. So I know I'm a little obsessed with it, But once you start feeling great, and I tell people as you get older, you have two choices. You can get bitter or you can get better. Right. And I want to help you get better. I mean, every time I've ever seen you, every event, every time I've talked to, you're full of energy. And that's not easy.
Starting point is 01:09:18 It's not. I don't care who you are. I mean, you get amped up to talk about this. But it's just your personality in general. And that's a testament, especially as you've gotten older. I'm sure you feel much better as you've learned about this and implemented into your daily routine. And, you know, it shows. And if that's not proof enough, I think that it is the results that people have seen that I've seen talked about and the growth that you've had and the ability that you've had to convey this message that I've seen.
Starting point is 01:09:50 That's what drew me to you in the first place was when I saw you talking with Dr. Gundry. Yeah. And that's how I even found you. And then I told you that when I found you. And it's been a pleasure and blessing to know you. And I want to continue to learn from you and platform you as I can. And I want to take these again. My wife stole all of mine last time.
Starting point is 01:10:09 So we're going to get you a big supply. Don't you worry. Yeah, it would be great. It would be great. I'd love to be a big proponent of these for you. And I believe in them as well. I believe in cellular health. I believe in mitochondria health more than ever.
Starting point is 01:10:24 And, you know, I believe in your message. and I want to make sure that people can really understand and see what the difference is between somebody that's passionate and knows and believes and lives it as aside from somebody just trying to make a quick buck off of everybody. And like I said at the beginning and I want to really hammer down now. You are the epitome of that and I respect the hell out of that. And that's why I always have time for you and I always have love for you and we'll do whatever I can to help you.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Well, thank you. It's very, very sweet of you. And it takes a lot of us to get the truth out. So I'm just grateful that I was blessed to be on this path and find people like you that can move it out there because there's a lot of disinformation or just lack of awareness. And so, but I tell people, you know, we didn't know about chia or Kiwa or bone broth or a lot of these things that have been around in other countries for centuries. So algae's been taken. every day in Asia for the last 60 years. It was taken 250 years ago by the Aztecs. It just needed to be explained. And that's that's sort of what I'm doing. And you needed to have a safe source. So that's what we do at energy bits. We give you the best. Well, it takes voices and it takes people that have the right motive. And that's what it's going to continue to be. And that's why it's important that we do this and we educate people and we keep doing it over and over and over. And that's why it was important to have you on again to reiterate and to learn more because things change. We learn more over time. That's, you know, some data, some data stays the same,
Starting point is 01:12:10 some changes. And that's science. And that's the beauty of it, right? So you don't, you don't not change throughout your life and get better and improved. So that's what studying and learning as an implementation, right? So I'm sure that we will just continue to do this every few months as we learn more. And we'll continue to grow together and educate. So I want to make sure, and I'll link everything, and we'll put my, once again, my coupon code is Jim L.E for 20% off, which is a very nice savings. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:42 But tell everybody. Yes, they go to energybits.com, E-N-E-R-G-Y-B-I-T-S to use the code. And it works on everything, all brands, all the time. So it's not, don't panic. It's not just a one-timer. It's all the time. And then we're very active on social media. Instagram handle is, EnergyBits is the main one.
Starting point is 01:13:03 I'm starting to do more lecturing around the country. So I've even created my own website, Catherine Arnston. If you just want to learn more about me, we don't sell anything there. It's just about me. But, yeah, energybits.com is the main event. and we're very, we love educating people. I've recorded over 200 videos, one minute videos, teaching people about brain health, gut health, heart health, whatever it takes. And some of them, we have some videos on TikTok, they've had 3 million views.
Starting point is 01:13:36 My interview with Dave Asprey went viral. It's had 1.3 million downloads. So apparently somebody likes the science, so I'm very excited about that. So anyways, I'm committed to this. This is my path. So I tell people I'm married to algae. My biggest partner is timeline that I work with. And that was the reason for the study.
Starting point is 01:14:02 And implementing these two together, I see like synergy that is just amazing. And when you can do that for yourself and have that kind of broad spectrum and understanding of how to live longer in the right way and have the other multitudes of benefits, gold. So gold. And it's very, very particular on what I put my time and effort in. And this is something that I will continue to do along with you.
Starting point is 01:14:28 So thank you. And I will link everything in the description. You're amazing. We love you and we appreciate you. I love you, too. So thank you. Elty loves you. As always, it's a pleasure, Catherine.
Starting point is 01:14:42 And I know we'll continue to do this. So I appreciate it. it and everybody, I hope that you gained even more knowledge from this and understanding and will implement energy bits into your routine. So stay tuned for plenty more to come. Dylan Jameli and Catherine Arnston, signing on.
