Just don't call in a podcast.
The Ebro-Lala Rosenberg shows.
Okay.
Yeah, we have some giveaways and we have sponsors,
but it's going to be a lot of Knicks today.
New York Knicks, you say?
You know, they're kind of popping out here right now, those New York Knicks.
The World Champion New York Knicks.
That is crazy.
That sounds great.
That sounds great.
Say it again.
the world champion New York Knicks.
Yeah, man.
You're 2025-20206 NBA world champs.
How you like that?
Is it just go down as 20-26 or is it a 2025-20?
Like when I always get confused because even in football and other sports where like the
seasons overlap a year.
Yeah.
How do they, how does it end up being?
You say, they say, remember we won the championship in 26?
But officially it's 25, 26.
But the season is 25-26.
They are the, they are when, when it's talked about.
in history, which it will be.
And let's be honest, they didn't really turn into the team that they were until 26.
So why are we talking about 25?
Because 25, 25, they were cool.
They were cool.
Late 20, is 26 went on?
Something different happened to this team.
Well, really, I mean, as the playoffs went on.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
You know, they went on a run.
And it was beautiful.
And shout to all the Knicks fans, 844, ELR, ELR, ELR3.
Call up and get emotional with us.
I teared up.
Nah.
Yeah, I teared up, man.
Seeing people get happy, man.
Just the amount of joy in people was really what teared me up.
I teared up when I saw, like, the photos of, like, even producer grip posted a picture of his,
he's like, I wish my dad lifelong Knicks fan and him as a little kid.
Like all these stories of like OG Knicks fans throughout the years.
That was beautiful to see, man.
Yo, even jazz didn't fall asleep.
Wow.
Yeah.
That should have made you cheer up right there.
Salasi almost made it.
No way.
Almost made it to the end of the game.
She couldn't hang in there.
anymore. It got pretty late.
It got late. Yeah.
No, it was nice.
Natalie got all teary. It was nice seeing
New Yorkers really like who have
these memories going back to
different crappy variations
of crappy Nix teams or even pretty good Nix teams.
Like Natalie's childhood or the Allen Houston,
you know those late 90s teams, which are pretty
good teams. 99 went to the champ, went to the finals.
See, I always look at this stuff through the lens of
like relationships, human
relationships. Okay. Where it's kind of
like, you know, think of
any relationship that you've been in, whether
it's a family one or a romantic one or whatever there's ups and downs this relationship if you're a
nick fan's been all down and you stuck with it emotionally down a lot of down lots are not good yeah
but you still believe man you still were like this is this is my this is my love this is my this is it
for me i'm i'm staying here i think through it like when you think of it in those terms of yeah
because i'm not i'm bailing i'm out the relationship
No, you already have.
We've seen it.
We named the team.
He's bailed.
Pick it.
Yeah, pick a team.
He's gone.
It's true.
It's amazing.
And, you know, other teams in the region, like Yankee fans, you all are great, man.
It's cool.
When I hear the word die-hard Yankee fan, I'm like, you never died.
And it hasn't been hard.
It hasn't been hard.
I had an argument yesterday with someone.
Nah, but for us since 09.
No, but for us.
It's still 20.
It's still 09.
That was yesterday relative.
Relative to what the Yankees just suffered through 53.
year. I mean, the Knicks suffered through 53 years. Even, even the Mets won 13 years after the Knicks.
You're right? And I've been to a couple World Series since then. So it's, it's a dip 53.
Nah, bro. Let's watch the call, man. This was good. Shout to Monica McNut. Tyler Murray and Monica
McNutt on ESPN, New York. There you go. It's clip number one there, Rashon. It's tough to find the first one.
It's tough to find the first one. Sorry.
Three dribbles.
One shot for the championship.
He got it.
More point lead.
7.5 to go.
Deer and Fox across mid-court with five.
Left wing handoff to Wemba Njama with two.
Takes a three that he misses too strong.
It's happening, Nick's fans.
It's happening.
It's been 53 years.
But for this moment, it was well worth the wait.
A playoff run that will go down in history.
And a team that will next stop the Canyon of Hero.
The New York Knicks are NBA champions.
Nothing like the love letter that an organization
has an opportunity to write to its fans and to its cities
quite like winning a championship.
Enjoy it, Nick's fan, enjoy it Knicks Nation.
Signed, sealed, and delivered your 2026 New York Knicks.
This league has seen some impressive playoff runs over.
the playoff runs over the years but we've never seen next fan screaming in the vacuum
the 2026 new york they will be forever remembered as the team that proved no lead is too big
and no guard is too small that's that's a bar at the end as he tied that up nice but that doesn't
get you a little bit no sure a little i mean all of it got me to some degree i i've really enjoyed it
none of none brought me close to tears no i'm not going to say it i will
I welled. I know, but I was really.
I welled right now. I had the camp quarter out filming Natalie and I enjoyed that, but no, I wasn't close to what. I needed to be my time. I'm selfish.
We know. If the commanders get there, I will well. I'm not, I can't well. I feel. And listen, Tyler Murray and Monica are so good. And for the record, this is what makes a championship so crazy. They're both new. Tyler, Tyler's a kid. He just started that job, I think, two seasons. They've linked up like two years ago. And they've been fantastic.
Fantastic.
I think about all the broadcasters before, though.
They did it for decades.
Waiting.
Squat.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And this is what it will be for a new generation of fans.
There will be kids who grow up and think it's normal that the New York Knicks win a world championship.
It just, that will literally change.
That can change fundamentally the way that people live, the way you view the world.
I'm happy for them.
Yeah.
Like I called my nephews.
They're running around the backyard.
Issa just being like, yo, this is dope, man.
And you have a, because I, I don't want her to go through what I want to.
I don't want that for you.
I don't want you to live an entire life with a team in Chambers.
I don't, I don't want.
You talking about the Raiders?
Because you're a Laker fan also.
Yeah, but that's where I was really talking about the Raiders.
Got it.
And the A's, which happened once since the, what, 90s, early 90s?
Yeah.
You know.
Yes, Rassan.
I was going to say, my son has the nerve of calling people bandwag and mixed fans.
I'm like, bro, you was born eight years ago.
Yeah.
Relax.
I love that for you.
son. I'm glad you checked that.
That is, I'm going to hit you something with this.
You played yourself. That is hilarious.
You just got here.
Griff, who you got on the line?
You got blue on the line.
Blue, you say.
Okay.
Blue, what's going on, Blue?
What's good, John?
I don't know if you can't get to work with enough.
Well, listen, welcome to the program.
844, ELR, ELR 3, where the line is open for Nick's fans yet again.
It's a special time.
Yeah, man.
Like, it's been so long.
If y'all remember I was one of the biggest fans.
Yes.
I literally tried.
You can see it on Instagram, like tears down my face.
Listen.
Just even watching that amount of my nutclip again.
Like, it just brings tears to me like, you made it so long for this.
And just to see the joy and the passion of how we got here, it was just amazing.
Nah, it's, it's, it's, um, I'm down in Orlando.
I'll be up there Wednesday for the parade.
Like, I'm going to be there.
Like, I can't.
Nice.
Yes.
You can't.
Oh, good for you, man.
Well, Blue, thanks for calling the program, bro.
Yeah, man.
This is what we waited for, man.
I can't wait for it.
Yo, you know,
I love that.
You know the Knicks trailed 75% of the time or something like that.
That's pretty incredible.
That's an incredible kind of stat.
Like, three quarters of the time you were trailing, working,
busing your ass to close this thing out.
Well, how about this?
As evidence,
you realize that it was a pretty big comeback in game five.
Yes.
No one even talked about it.
Well, because game four was ridiculous.
Because game four.
Because the game two, because game one.
I mean, it's all they do.
Well, it's all they do.
So they were down 16 in game five and really steady just did their Nick thing until they overtook them.
And at no point, the whole conversation was how great Brunson was.
But at no point was anyone like, wow, another comeback because you're just so used to it.
Right.
And Brunson put up, what, 45?
You know, light work.
Tied Michael Jordan?
Yep.
For the all-time finals high.
Wow.
He is incredible.
I mean, that, his entire story overall, Laura, he came over from Dallas in a trade at a time in which Nix fans were looking for who the next star would be.
And when they got Brunson from Dallas, who had been playing, like, kind of backing up Luca Dantzich to some degree.
And he was coming off a pretty good playoff performance where Dantzsch was hurt and Brunson was really good.
But Nix fans, a lot of, a lot of Nix fans who didn't know.
and a lot of pundits, like you've seen these videos moving around.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They were like, Jalen Brunson is the guy that you think is going to turn this franchise around.
You want to go to clip 11?
I was not going to go to clip 11 today of people talking negative.
But since I'm telling the actual story of Brunson.
Let's go, man.
But I didn't want to.
I literally was trying to refrain from anything negative today.
Ultimately, it's positive.
So, yeah, I guess you're right.
It's an awful idea.
And for what?
To go all in.
of signing Jalen Brunson and I worry that they're gonna they're gonna look at Jailen
Brunson they're like wait we'd spent 27 million dollars here on this and by the way
he's not a one I'm not even sure he's a real two the saddest sweepstakes ever the Jailen
Brunson is Jalen Brunson one of the 10 best point guards in basketball maybe he's 10
I don't think he's top 10.
I mean, he might not be top 14.
I don't think this is a move that puts them into playoff contention.
It's got to be something in addition to Jalen Brunson.
It is not going to be the type of player that elevates them into contender status.
But, I mean, do we think Brunson is a guy that is going to bring them to a second round playoff series?
He's not.
I don't love the Jail and Brunton signing.
I think it's too much money.
And I think if anybody screams potential bust in this class, to me it's Jell and Brunson going to the day.
You know how you brought, I often get jealous if I'm not included in things?
Never been happier to not have a clip tossing that.
Hunk of shit.
You, you know, they updated that.
I've been seeing that for like the last year.
They updated it.
That mad dog once pretty recent.
That's like a year ago.
Tad a couple extra.
And I'll tell you what this is indicative of, too.
It's indicative of a culture or selfish culture that rewards and usually lords and exalts
individuals for being individuals.
The magic of the Knicks was that even when Jalen Brunson wasn't having a good night, there were other people to step up.
And because Jalen Brunson is the type of human being that he is, people, they were all fighting together.
For sure, I 100% agree.
And those clips are great.
And I've seen them moving around.
And I see why it's like motivational.
Isolated, it looks terrible.
In the moment, you understand why people felt that way.
But that's why I just said.
But there was no proof of what no one could have known.
Like, I thought you were going to say it's indicative of a culture where we all have to run our mouths nonstop and people just copycat the same things.
Because how would they have known what went on to happen?
Well, no, because they're basing that assessment on how we've graded individualism throughout sports history and other history.
Right.
It's always been about a singular person, right?
Can they bring you a champion?
Can they bring, can this person in a team sport?
bring you a championship.
When truth be told, like, yes,
Michael Jordan is Michael Jordan.
We always talk about how great
Scottie Pippin was. And
whether it was Hodges or Kerr
or Horace Grants
of the thing, whatever, they weren't Michael Jordan,
but they didn't do it alone.
Right, right. But think about like this, you're 100%
correct. And I want you to imagine
in one of these settings, and this is where I think it gets down to the way
we do media. In one of those conversations,
someone on ESPN goes, yeah, but hold
on, guys. They could
turn into a really great team with multiple pieces where they all contribute together.
And it leads to a great team championship.
People are like, okay.
I mean, it can always happen, but it doesn't very often.
That's what makes them special.
But also it does.
Every chance, when your Celtics won, was it, was it all one person?
No, no, it's never all one person.
When the Lakers won some of their championships, was it all one person?
No, but Kobe, Kobe is a different level talent than Jalen Brunson.
For sure.
But he still had Shaq, but he still has Shaq.
No, no.
And he still had Paul Gasor.
Right, but they don't have, they don't have that one, that Kobe one, they don't have.
Right.
That's what makes them fascinating and amazing and relatable.
Jalen Brunson becomes Superman, but his body is not that.
No, Magic Johnson was with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Like, we talk about magic like he wasn't playing with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
And James Worthy.
What I'm saying is...
Everything, these are both true.
No, but he was still Magic Johnson.
Right.
But that was Kareem Abdul-Dabbar.
I get it, but Jalen Brunson isn't Magic Johnson.
That's what makes it so cool.
And I'm saying, okay, fine, but we've seen teams win.
Of course.
And that's why I started with culture.
We live in a culture where celebrating individualism, like you said, you wouldn't sit down in that scenario and go, hang on, guys.
I know.
On paper, this Jalen Brunson thing doesn't look good.
But look at the pieces.
People would be like, yo, that's not entertaining.
Get out of you.
That's what I mean.
That's all they're doing.
But fortunately.
Because the culture doesn't reward nuance, which we talk about all the time.
Being thoughtful about things.
No.
Waiting to see.
Waiting.
Somebody getting up there when that's all going on and going, hang on, guys.
Let's see how this plays.
No, no, guys, I know we got to talk today.
I think we should lay out the next few minutes.
Let's just see how it plays.
We'll wait until after the All-Star break.
What about after the NBA?
No, you're 100% right, but that is what the culture is.
And I don't remember having.
And now, and let me just say this.
And now's the time where maybe people, they won't, but I'll just throw it out there.
Maybe people start being a little bit more thoughtful.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah, I'm sure.
I'm away for that.
But what I love about Brunson so much is he, Brunson is, you name a more clutch NBA player ever.
Name one.
I'll wait because he's talent-wise in what's in, his God-given ability, I do not believe, obviously,
is Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant.
But the it factors that this guy has are on the levels of all of the greatest to ever do it.
That's what makes him so amazing.
Like, you physically look at him and he looks like this regular-ass dude.
And then as the game goes on and crunch time happens, he has no, and maybe that's it.
He stays that same dude all the time.
Crunch time, doesn't matter.
His temperature does not go up.
He's incredible.
After the game, there was a clip where they asked him, like, you know, in crunch time or at the end of the games,
He was like, what do you think?
He's like, look, I'm thinking about being alone in the gym.
Yeah, I saw that.
I'm thinking about all the times.
I was just me.
And it's just me right now.
But also, do you see the other thing that he said after the game, though, when he was with his dad?
And he was like, I'm not going to lie.
I didn't think I was going to be this either.
He was like, I didn't beat that.
They talked about how everyone doubted him.
And he was like, I'm not even, they asked Rick Brunson about neither of them.
Neither him nor his dad foresaw him becoming what he became in New York.
He sat there after the game and talked about how great Patrick Ewing was.
He was like, nah, yo, that was, by the way, that was some ill dad-ish.
But I could cross the line into slightly being a douche dad moment where he's like,
nah, I mean, you're great, but you ain't Patrick Ewin.
I was like, all right, dad, wait until Monday, okay?
Because I'll tell you one thing, too, he's going to end up in the conversation of who's greater.
Just, just know, that is happening.
Well, and on the other side, I like where Rick Brunton's at with it.
Like, chill, my God, let me see you do it again.
Because guess what Nick's, guess after this.
week after Thursday.
That will be the combo.
Yes, Griff, who you got?
Big Mike.
All right, big Mike.
Big Mike down in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
What's up, sir?
What's going on?
How's it going?
The morning.
Listen, man, we're just going around and round,
feeling the fields of the Knicks being the NBA champions.
Listen, man, I'm in Harrisburg, PA,
and I've been crying since Saturday morning.
God bless.
It's crazy.
My city is going crazy, and I can't wait to get up there
in New York a party with all y'all, man.
Listen, you'll be partying with all them.
One thing I probably won't be doing is standing on a street with two million people.
But I will be watching on the internet.
By the way.
Happy and cheering at home.
I don't know if you've been listening to us.
You said you've been listening for a long time, Big Mike.
Does Ibro strike you as a parade guy?
Listen, I've been listening to you guys.
I've been watching you guys.
I was at the summer gym when it was a tsunami outside.
Oh, man, I was legendary.
That's every summer, Jim.
I believe y'all made us.
The end outside in that.
No, we tried to save you.
Like, we put you in the hallway for a couple of seconds during a hailstorm and some lightning,
but let's get back to it.
Man, that's crazy.
That's crazy, bro.
I got soaked that day.
No, that's all good.
Listen, you're here to talk about it.
It was legendary.
And enjoy it, though, bro.
God bless, man.
Where are you from in New York?
Hey, listen, I appreciate you guys.
And honestly, thank you for doing everything that you guys do.
It's amazing for the whole culture.
Thank you, bro.
Take care.
Now, I will say it has crossed my mind to get down to the parade.
The parade is Thursday morning, right, mid-morning, like 10 a.m. or something.
Yeah, I think it's usually nine.
It goes from Battery Park, which is a nice park down there,
and it'll go north up towards City Hall.
It ends at City Hall.
Yeah, ends at City Hall.
I have thought about contacting nephews and taking East out there.
That's real.
To be realistic, because we were texting something about the parade yesterday.
It's for the kids, bro.
Like adults at the parade.
I mean, if you're a super fan,
which there's a lot of so they will be there.
Of course.
They're going to be there.
But like there are going to be a lot of fans out there who feel the obligation to go.
And they're going to stand for a while and be like, ah, this is nice, man.
This is cool.
Well, I'm already.
So my next question is, how long do these things last?
A few hours.
And you wait for in a spot very often.
And they just come by your spot.
And then they come and then they go.
Or you could follow the parade.
You could like try to like follow one float if you want.
How do you do that?
They're going to have it barricade at all.
No, like alongside, I don't know, along the street.
Yeah, I don't even know if they'll allow you to do that.
No, listen, I, Ebro, you won't appreciate this.
I yesterday showed great restraint when it was brought up in the chat about the parade.
Every part of my being, as much as I love sports, I have, I'm so good on parades.
Yeah.
But I didn't want to be negative.
So, there's a piece of me.
I want to go out there with the break.
There is a piece of me.
It's like, yo, I want to go out with the people.
Right.
Grab a camera, walk around, ELR's out.
getting, you know, like, oh, it's a moment.
It's a moment.
It's a moment.
Right?
Like, we're not going to be there as the ELR show.
You want to bring back DJ John?
Call John.
I'm not calling him.
Why would you ask Lord?
You're sorry.
I know.
He doesn't have purpose.
It would.
This is DJ John.
By the DJ John, he was throwing parties.
As he should.
At SOBs for the last three games.
Him and Billy June were.
Yeah, he said they were packed.
Packed out, apparently.
Yeah.
And Billy June decided to.
Who's Billy June?
They don't know.
Billy June is my Wannett producer and a bona fide psychopath for a variety of reasons.
I wish you had a photo of Billy June to show the people.
I just wish.
Rahsa, you could make it happen.
I don't think he has.
Billy June decided.
I'm trying to understand this.
To call my phone at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
And he did it back to back time.
So you know it breaks through the.
Yeah, yeah.
So you're like, what is this emergency?
I didn't know that.
That was the thing.
Yeah.
So if somebody keeps calling it'll break through you don't disturb.
Wow.
Even if they're not an emergency content.
I believe so.
I believe multiple calls will be like, hey, you might need this.
All right.
So what do you want at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning?
I don't know.
I didn't answer.
Oh.
I called him later and I said, I have to ask you a question.
You've done a lot of insane things since I've known.
I said, bro, on a Sunday at 7 a.m.
I said, you know what?
I have two days.
Like, I don't wake up.
I didn't do it.
I, you woke me up for the day.
That was it.
I was done.
I have a baby, bro, and I work every day.
Hey, yo, Billy June.
He was like, I'm sorry.
I was still up celebrating.
I was like, I don't care.
Feel upset.
I'm happy for you.
People are, people have been, um, they've been whisked by this whole next thing.
They've been, they've been caught up.
They've been.
Yeah.
They've been.
And, and, and by the way, man, in a sit, beautiful weather.
Today, by the way.
Listen, beautiful weather.
I mean, it's been hot all weekend.
It was a little bit of rain Friday, but whatever.
But beautiful weather around the city.
Puerto Rican Day parade yesterday.
Fast phone 116 on Saturday.
The World Cup's going on.
The Knicks win.
I mean, the city was just.
It was Brooklyn Pride, too.
Brooklyn Pride.
It was a lot, bro.
Brooklyn Pride.
Oh, and Brazil Morocco.
Yeah.
You said that in there?
I just said World Cup.
Yeah.
And I think there was like, was the Streamer University
Shenedigans too?
Yeah.
Oh, YVD, bro, was busy.
I didn't even see that.
Me neither.
Didn't make my radar.
844, ELR3, Gryff.
This is a beat of 250, and we're celebrating Black Music Month,
a celebration of legacy, creativity, and global influence of Black music.
Today, we celebrate the legendary Leotane Price.
One of the most important voices in American history.
Opera began in 16th century Italy.
But black artists helped expand and redefine what that tradition could become.
In the late 1800s, pioneering performers like Matilda Jones helped open the doors for future generations of black classical artists by appearing on some of America's most respected stages.
Then came Leotin Price.
Born in Mississippi, Price brought a voice that was rich, powerful, and unforgettable.
In 1955, she became the first black opera singer featured in a major television opera production with NBC Opera Theater.
She later earned worldwide acclaim, performing at the Metropolitan Opera and internationally at 99 years old.
Leotene Price remains a symbol of excellence, discipline, grace, and artistic greatness worldwide.

I'm just not going to lie to you and go, a tear actually rolled upon face.
I'll give you this.
I'll give Rosenberg this.
He is a real sports fan
So he has real fandom for his teams
So if you have real fandom for your teams
And you're not a fraud like me
Where you're just kind of like eh
And you just are happy seeing fans get happy
Yeah, it's hard
Otherwise I'd feel like a fraud
But I appreciate you're asking them
But keep going
But can we just talk about
A couple of things
What do you got?
I want no trade
I feel like the energy
On this team
And the chemistry is unparas
I've never seen anything like it.
Really the only thing I can compare it to
was when I was a little girl growing up in the 90s
and the Yankees were winning
and it was like the Bernie,
Peter Mariano through.
It was franchise.
What I'm seeing here is a franchise.
I had this same conversation the other day, Joanna,
with the long as you don't make praise.
Yeah, I had the same conversation with a Knicks fan
in my family the other day.
What are you doing?
What are you changing?
Well, the only issue they will have.
Maybe some bench players.
Thank you, Joanna.
Thank you.
The only issue that you have to be concerned about if you're a Knicks fan, as far as I know, is Mitchell Robinson.
So he's up.
People of his size get paid.
Yeah.
Even though he's not, you know, he's obviously not a big offensive player, had the biggest
offensive rebound of the series, ended the finals with that offensive rebound the other night.
And he's obviously super important for them defensively.
But he will want to get paid.
So it would be a matter of do they?
They want to pay Mitchell Robinson.
Besides that, I don't think anyone else of significance, any of the names that you know.
I don't think any of them are in conversation this year.
It will be everybody back.
By the way, I just heard they're all at Good Morning America.
Yep.
The five of them.
And then they will all be at Fallon tonight with Wu-Tang Clan.
Yo, man, listen.
Falling having, first of all, Wutang Clan needs a ring.
Let's be honest.
Houten Klan needs a championship ring.
Did you see that Mitchell Ness dropped?
the series of Wu York shirts
that are pretty fine.
Yeah, I saw those.
They're pretty dope.
But they do deserve a ring, right?
Yeah.
They're a part.
You know, you realize.
They got out there performed
to an audience that didn't know
any of the words they were singing.
That's not true.
That's what Mep said.
By the way, meth, let's keep,
I love meth.
That's my brother, for real.
He has a history of saying them.
Remember?
Yeah, he said that summer.
But guess what?
I was at that summer gym.
There are always people that were going to know that word.
It was the 20th anniversary.
We were celebrating.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
No, later than that.
It was the one like two years ago when Red and Meth came out.
Remember?
He was like, eh, I don't need to do this anymore.
I don't remember that?
Oh, it was that one.
Well, I know the one where I booked all of them.
Yeah, that was the anniversary.
That was the anniversary.
Guess what?
Half the audience still wasn't standing up for him.
That may be true.
But you don't think.
And I was pissed.
But when I looked at the footage of the halftime performance and I watched a few
different angles of it, I was impressed by how many people stayed in the bowl to watch.
It's just, it's a basketball game.
People don't rock out like it's a concert.
Like, Matthew, you've been to a game before.
You're rocking out to the halftime show.
No, but it's Wu-Tang.
I get it.
It's Wutte.
And I saw Naz in front.
He was rocking out.
Wattah.
Joe was rocking out.
Wooten.
I saw the audience loving it.
Me too.
Yes, Lou.
They were now 27 at that time.
I don't think they cared much about Wutang or anybody.
That part.
And then that part made it hard.
But Wutang was there.
But Wutang.
But Wutang.
Do you realize that if they, if the Knicks don't come back in that epic game,
it's just a little like,
oh yeah,
one year we performed at the finals,
it was cool.
Because they came back and won
and now won the championship,
Wu-Tang in like in the 30-for-30,
they're in the documentary.
They're now part of the story.
And Cardi.
It's amazing.
I mean, Cardi was there.
And Cardi.
Cardi got to be,
at least be a part,
but Cardi was at the loss, bro.
I mean,
Cardi's part of the story was,
I performed a halftime
when Trump was there.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
But she was so happy.
Oh, did you see her?
Of course.
In her basement?
No, but her screaming running down the hallway, get my makeup.
The streets are calling me.
Yes, yes.
No.
The fact that she had her phone propped up on her backpack, like everyone else, like normal people.
She was like, I'm in my basement.
Shut up.
This is what we're doing.
It was so good.
I love it.
I bet you they was doing that because the kids were sleeping.
Uh-huh.
She's tired of telling them kids to go lay down.
Y'all know how it is.
You want to hang out?
I had to put AirPods in one night.
I've been there.
on my phone.
Well, listen, there's a lot of sleepiness.
You know what I mean?
You got to keep things low down.
Facts.
844, ELR, ELR 3.
They had a Spike Lee parade.
Oh.
In front of his 40-acre store in Brooklyn.
Let's see that.
That's clip 8.
Oh, my God.
Look at this.
Ricardo was over there.
Was he?
Yes.
Spike.
I love it.
If you want to call his number
and see if he answered.
He won't we could try.
Yeah, send it to him.
There was also already a Jumpman Spike Lee commercial
where he was calling Michael Jordan.
Did you see that?
Yeah, the Mars Blackman.
The Mars is Mars Blackman.
We haven't talked in a minute.
I like that.
Maybe they're definitely going to drop a new Jordan.
I'm so freaking happy for for Spike.
Truly, I mean, he's just such a...
He's the mascot of the team.
I mean, there's no...
I would say that to the average, like, national, you know,
person, he'd be one of the first things they say about the Knicks.
There go, Spike Lee.
1,000 percent.
You heard in Monica McNutt's clip where she said, you know, a love letter to the fans,
you know, it's the best way to write a love letter to the fans.
Yeah.
I need Dolan to stay away from any love letters to the fans.
Did you see him?
Did you see him that night?
I saw him out.
We didn't keep the criminal room.
Well, and I appreciate Dolan saying, sorry it took so long.
That was a good line.
I appreciate it.
That was a good line.
Because let me tell you what.
for this is for any owner of any team it's not about you bro it's about the fans even even as much as
it's about the players it's about the fans especially nix fans because nix fans were buying tickets
to the to the 17 win seasons yep selling out the garden this whole time waiting waiting waiting
like i think more than probably any other fan base yeah think about that oh nobody deserves
anything other than the Knicks fans deserve all the love.
So, you know, we got to get to some important things here.
You're leading me to some important things that need to be said.
It need to be addressed.
And for anyone who is concerned, I'd have something negative to say on a day like today.
I just want to say, I do.
But it is not directed towards anything, New York.
Okay.
I have heard from multiple Philadelphia sports fans who are legitimately
without irony
saying that they are disgusted
by the Knicks fan base
F out of here, bro.
Yo, Philly, shut the fuck up.
No, F out of here.
No, y'all...
They're trolling you.
They're not serious.
They're not serious.
They're not.
They're unsurious people.
No, these are people I know
who are serious people,
good people, quality people.
No, they're like...
You know how I know they're not?
They're from Philadelphia fan.
And they're from Philips.
You guys are out of your mind.
The home of having to grease the telephone
polls and y'all want to come out now and say oh no the nix fan base is disgusting first of all
let can we stop labeling why are we i got to stop this no it i got to stop it i got to stop you
i have to stop you we are not allowing out there it can't be allowed to be addressed no no it cannot
be allowed for sixers fans philadelphia fans to fix their lips to say anything in this very sacred time
and also they're the most angry fan base they just so you know most of the of the i saw that most
NBA fan bases, we're kind of like, you know what, this next team pretty likable.
They haven't won at 53 years.
Like even my cousins who are huge Celtics fans.
We have like our little Celtics chat.
Yeah, yeah.
We were all in there like, this is dope.
This is awesome.
Yo, Brunson reminds me at Larry Bird.
This is crazy.
Blah, blah, blah.
And yet, Philly.
Why is Brunson remind him of Larry Bird?
Just like the sort of not, does it look super athletic, but gets his shot always, not to mention
the way he hits shots, the level of swish.
is just like, oh, when it's going in.
Bro, him and Bird both have that just like,
you hear the net from like a mile away.
Anyways, we're just like chatting basketball.
But the Philly fans are so angry still
because the process turned into a process of sucking still
that they're really not letting,
and y'all just got two Super Bowls.
And you can't let the Knicks fans have this?
I saw it.
I saw it.
The funniest thing to me is like on threads.
I saw people like Philly fans
that were saying that exact same thing,
but people just replying with horrible videos of the mess.
I was like, there you go.
After every championship,
that's why they're full of shit, bro.
You can't take this.
No, but I will.
Gerv, who you got?
Judith.
Judith checking in from England.
Okay.
And okay.
You live in Oakland.
You went from England to Oklahoma City.
God bless you.
Well, no, I moved from England to New York.
I lived in New York for decades.
Oh, okay, God.
And I just moved to Oklahoma.
All right.
So what's going on?
What would you like to say?
You all right?
Do you need help?
Well, first of all, I have to say congratulations to the New York Six.
It was an amazing run.
I watched all four games, and it was amazing.
My husband was a fan since 1999, and he stopped and didn't watch any sports because they lost.
And he didn't even watch any of the games with me.
I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I definitely had to support the Knicks, especially being here in Oklahoma.
Well, really quick, really quick, I have to hit your husband with.
Congratulations.
You played yourself.
He missed out.
That's okay, because now he said he can start watching sports again, so.
So I'll be in New York this week as well.
So I'm looking forward.
I'm either unlike you, I will not be in New York City,
but I will be supporting and watching all of your festivities from home.
Judith, how did we get you on board as an ELR listener,
Judith from England, who's now in Oklahoma City?
She lived in New York.
Just while you were in New York, we just became part of your, like, routine?
Well, I lived in New York in New York, but I watched, I mean, sorry,
I listened to Hot 97 for a long time.
And so that was where it started.
I remember Ibro during COVID when you bought that full body suit at the beginning of the beginning of COVID,
that's what got me to start to start listening constantly.
Wow.
I just love the show.
I'm into ELR.
There's nothing like it.
There's no other station I can listen to anyway.
So I listen to you guys faithfully every morning here.
And I love it.
Love the content.
Love everything.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Thank you, Eber, for your astronaut suit bringing our listeners.
That was a, that was a, listen, it was not an astronaut suit.
You're the only one that's been outer space.
Thank you, Judith.
That was a air, what do they call it, like a clean air suit is what it was.
Did it come with that huge helmet?
Yes, it did.
They had a helmet too.
You don't remember the helmet?
It had its own, you know, it was like its own air processor.
He's been preparing for the apocalypse for a long time.
It's not unprepared for the apocalypse, guys.
You're blowing it out of proportion.
I'm just prepared for bad stuff.
If the apocalypse is one of them, so be.
Yeah.
And you were ready, bro.
Man, this is, I'm just so happy.
I was emotional because our girl shells, this was her team, man.
I was like, I was kind like a little, you know.
I bet.
I mean, it's, it's, it's, what you think about people like that and the Mr.
C's.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Fife, man.
Fife dog.
All these people.
I didn't even hate Q-Tip yet.
I was just giving him, I gave him a couple of days.
I'm going to hit him today.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's, I need to call Q-tip and just checking on him.
But yeah, man.
Like think about all the people we've lost who were just waiting for this moment
It's just that that part that's the really to me that's like the most emotional part
That's why I always get frustrated with teams when they throw away a year
You know when it seems like oh we're gonna rebuild this year and I we're just gonna you know we're gonna hire we're gonna bring in whatever quarterback
And we just got to get through this year to draft next year I'm like bro people are gonna die this year
Like there will be less people here they were who are waiting you can't the way that we are about sports is is crazy I'm not
just here all over the world obviously well because i you know a lot of people are like oh the nicks
are bringing people together and i'm like yes well first of all if you if you're not from new york
city we're always together now just because we bitch at each other or get annoyed with each other
whether it be politically or you know about i don't know ebikes or potholes or the weather
whatever the hell we're pissed off about in new york the heat uh traffic it doesn't mean we're not
together and so when something like the nix happens right where it is a unifying force in the
because it is the main team in a big sport, right?
So if you're thinking baseball,
you're not going to get that unification
because you have Mets and Yankees.
Correct.
If you're thinking football, you got Giants and Jets.
When it comes to basketball, yes, you have the Brooklyn Nets,
but that's not a legendary thing.
Nope.
Yet.
The Knicks, that's the thing.
That's been a thing.
And we talked about this last week.
The garden sits right in the middle of the city, man.
Yeah, yeah.
It sits right in the middle of the city.
It's, you know, now we're going to be having a discussion.
about Dolan paying some taxes, but still.
You know what I mean? It's a great location.
I did feel a way about when they were showing at the game.
And when they showed Spike Lee, John Torturo,
Jean-Carlo Esposito, some other legendary New Yorker,
and Cam Scataboo, I did feel a way.
I was like, how did he end?
People like Scataboo, don't they?
They do. They do. Sometimes I worry Cam Scatabu is a little bit too much like
John Tartaboo is.
do the right thing.
But he's not Jackson Dart.
I, no, but they're like, almost.
They're the same.
I mean, they're brothers.
Cam Scadabo, Laura, was a,
he was a late draft pick for the Knicks
in two years ago's draft,
who was fantastic last year because he plays like,
no, you mean for the Giants.
What I say?
He's the Knicks.
He's a Knicks.
For the Giants.
For the Giants.
He is a fullback,
and he plays like an absolute lunatic
with reckless abandon, just like bulldozers
over people.
And he also got hurt last year, missed the second half of the season.
He also just comes off like the ultimate jock.
Yeah, but you're prejudiced.
We don't know, right?
Has he done anything?
Something happened.
Yeah, I mean, he had a controversy, but he apologized for it.
Okay.
Okay.
All right, okay.
Some sort of.
Once again, it's still better than Jackson Dart.
Well, he didn't introduce Trump.
Well, yeah, he didn't introduce Trump.
And then go ahead and support Trump again after that.
and then not even actually apologize for what he did that was tasteless
and kind of dividing the team.
Jackson Dart didn't give a damn.
No, I don't agree with that.
Dart's statement didn't say that he didn't give a damn.
Apologize?
No, he didn't get up and apologize.
That would be a whole other thing.
But I thought his statement afterwards showed that he at least saw that he offended
half of his team.
But no, he hasn't come off as big of jackass as Jackson Dart yet.
But they're both going to.
New York, I'm sorry.
It's going to happen.
I'm sorry.
I can look at Dart and Scatabo and know where this thing is going.
That's pre-judging.
We don't know it.
Yeah. Well, guess what?
They've given a lot of it.
I'm not into the big super white boy diamond earring chains,
cosplay hip-hop thing.
It irritates me.
It really gets on your nerves.
Really gets my last nerve.
Speaking of last nerves, did anybody pay attention to the UFC at 250 at the wayhouse?
I checked in.
Checked in.
Where did you watch it?
I can't say.
I can't say.
But I saw some things.
You can't say because it was illegal.
What?
Oh.
What is wrong with you?
You're not.
By the way, bro, you're nuts.
Some illegal streams.
I'm like, you're, you say crazy.
Yo, every, isn't it?
God.
Every question, every accusation is an admission.
I got an illegal stream.
I got it.
I checked in.
You saw clips on an ex.
I saw clips.
There you go.
On Amazon.
No, I think it was on Paramount Plus.
If you have Amazon Prime, you can get it.
But you have to pay for it.
Really?
Yeah, I was watching on Amazon.
You pay for Paramount then.
Yeah.
So you watch.
But he watches anyway.
Reson, you watched.
I watched.
And you enjoyed it.
It was great.
It was actually pretty good.
The production was great.
There was no decisions.
It was on TKOs.
So it was like, you know.
So a lot of knockouts.
A lot of knockouts.
It was cool.
Did you cheer when they slandered Michelle Obama?
I did not.
I actually was very upset by that.
But you kept watching.
Yeah.
Congratulations.
Because the audience was silent.
He didn't get like a big pop.
It wasn't like everybody.
It was on his side.
Got it.
But there was no,
and you was a black man,
a black Muslim man in America.
There was no part of you.
What does the Muslim part have to do with it?
Well,
because they disrespect Muslims all the time
in that administration.
I didn't know.
In that moment, though,
sorry.
That administration.
Got it, got.
Do you want the video?
Nope.
I would rather hear from you.
I'm not really here for like just playing back
somebody getting up there
and making a pop out of me.
I'm not here for the home of it.
It's trash.
What did that even have to do with anything?
Nothing.
It had nothing.
So you just want to just get up there and just be mean to a former first lady.
And that's cool.
At the White House.
Right.
In what world?
In what world?
Give me the world.
Pick and find it.
Has that ever been okay?
To completely disrespect a first lady.
Openly.
At the White House.
It's so disgusting.
Where is when, when, when?
What first lady?
And is anybody coming out to say anything?
Oh.
Will there be any statement of like that shouldn't have happened?
I mean, I don't know.
Did anything get said afterwards?
Lou, did any politician?
No, I see.
Or Dana White?
Anybody that works for Trump?
Dana White was smiling with the mic
as he was interviewing the guy.
Oh, that's Joe Rogan.
Or Joe Rogan.
Whoops.
You're worried, but I love that for you.
I love that for you.
Oh, well.
I love that for you, Laura Staff.
Oh, well.
And you don't know the difference between Joe Rogan and Dana White?
No, that's perfect for you.
By the way, that he clipses my Sean Michaels.
What's the other Michaels?
Brett Michaels?
Brett Michaels.
Brett Michael, Sean, Michael, eclipses.
I don't.
Does it?
They're more relevant.
Right now.
Right now.
And she does entertainment news.
And she still don't know the difference.
I do know the difference.
But at the moment, I was just so annoyed by the situation.
Laura, run with.
I don't know the difference.
It's just so gross.
Stick with.
I can't tell the difference between Dana White and Joe Rogan.
I think it's great.
I can't.
844, ELR, ELR 3.
Yes, Griff.
By Bean.
She's been home for a lot.
Bean.
Bap bean.
Bobbean.
Sorry, Babine.

You're not crying because you're not from New York.
I love that take, Moreno.
It's a hot take.
It's a great take.
It doesn't really make sense across this show, but it's fine.
Moreno?
That's why you're not sitting in a tear because you're not from New York.
Moreno, thank you, my friend.
We got the line, Moira.
Do I give him three minutes, I think?
I think, but we love Moreno.
He's the man.

All right, well, thank you, Marino.

All right, Laura Stoules, what you got?
So this, we talked about this earlier, but this commercial was trending,
and it made a lot of people very emotional.
And I just want to share a little nugget that's part of the commercial.
Hit it, Rasad.
Some folks like to get away.
Take a holiday.
It's commercial guy.
I watched it a good 25 time.
I also thought the entire time, man, I haven't been that happy where I just want to run without a destination.
On the Hudson Riverline.
I'm in a New York state of mine.
Oh, it's good, man.
But the little Easter egg in it is that, and I know you can't really see it because he's running, but this, he, the guy in the commercial was wearing these sneakers and there was like a nod to DJ Clark Kent, which I thought was super cool.
That's dope, man.
Right?
Right.
You know RIP Clark King.
Yes, yes, yes.
Another guy you see another guy you see in a Knicks jersey all day every day.
Big Nick's Jersey guy.
Yeah, man.
R.P. Clark Kent.
Another thing that's amazing about that video is that Nike had to wear with all to get an actor who didn't have a tooth in the front.
What do you think they were trying to say there?
I mean, you know, if you've been around these New York streets, there's a lot of missing teeth.
You know what I'm saying?
That's all.
Oh, my God.
It's New York City, baby.
Who knows where that tooth went?
That's exactly right.
Who knows where that tooth went?
I thought you were the commercial ended.
I thought you'd say he needs to be run into a dentist office.
That's what I thought you were to say.
Stop, stop, stop, stop.
Or the crack tooth, look.
You know what I'm saying?
It was popping out here for a minute.
Anyway.
That was cool, though.
It wasn't it beautiful.
In entertainment, Taylor Swift and Travis are getting married at Madison Square Garden.
We talked about that on the show, I think.
Oh, well, I wasn't here.
Laura was out.
Okay, I wasn't here.
I didn't even, I just found out of Madison Square Garden.
So they're, you know, they're claiming that Taylor personally called everyone,
Rosenberg.
And I thought that was like, okay, it's crazy, you know, NDAs.
but it's supposed to go down.
Yeah, she personally called everyone and said sign this document
if you want to come to the wedding.
Yeah, that was it.
And there's repercussions, by the way, if you mess up.
So just know.
So that's part of it.
But it's going down on July 3rd Madison Square Garden.
So here's the thing about NDAs when you sign one, right?
Generally speaking, you could sign one.
And if you don't think the person who asked you to sign it has the money
to get the attorneys that will enforce it,
you'd probably be in a good place.
Taylor Swift probably has the law.
You think she had the money to enforce the NDA.
So you might want to chip.
I mean, in sad news, NFL star Eldon Smith was reportedly found unresponsive in his truck by a friend.
Now, the details of the story, man, just so sad.
They're saying that he had spent the day with a friend, Amir Shirazzi, helping deliver pizzas to local homeless outreach organizations in the Bay Area.
They were running errands together.
And according to the San Francisco Chronicle, they're saying when they return to his friend's home,
home, he came back to the car just to find him like slumped over in front of, in the front
passenger seat of the pickup truck.
And they're saying they thought he was sleeping at the beginning.
And then they realized something was wrong called 911 and he passed away in the hospital.
So they haven't, they haven't released like the cause of death or anything.
I saw yesterday there was moving around.
There was like clips of him doing an interview like having some sort of recorded conversation like
a week ago.
But is that the interview where he was talking about, you know, helping people.
and getting to his point in his life.
I didn't hear what actually said.
I just saw it was like he was talking to his barber
and it was like on it.
But it was like a clearly produced kind of thing.
Yeah.
Like very recent.
There were recently he had been really open about his struggles in the past
and how, you know, he's very happy where he is today.
And, uh, and hopefully can help other people avoid some of the things that he went through
in the past.
So he was on that path.
Yeah.
You know, so it sucks to, to get this news.
Right.
Yeah, man.
Super.
The rundown.
Intro for the outro.
Yes, she did.
Now.
Headlines heavy, but we still cut up.
We did not get to the multitude of Nick's clips.
We didn't get to all of them.
And the Spurs guy who decided to fight the whole city.
So, well, there was a bunch of kids there.
I wouldn't call it the whole city.
But those kids...
I mean, we're not going to act like it wasn't insane, though.
It was a group of 100 people.
And your man was just running around looking to fight people.
Now, is that how it started?
I thought somebody threw a punch at him first.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, he was out there, I think, being an A-hole, taunting,
waiting for someone to punch, someone did.
And then he went on a fighting spree and could not be stopped.
Okay, let's watch the ball.
Good kid.
Those are kids.
Those are, but this isn't the only clip.
Oh, it keeps going.
That's another kid.
What a mess.
Oh.
You know, why is he speedwalking after people like Mike Myers?
You know, it went on so much longer than that.
There was so much more.
He's got a minute left.
We're good.
We're good.
We're good.
I really see people celebrating.
So,
Musque.
Luser.
What a weird loser.
Where was this?
He looks up.
Moynihan Food Hall.
That's a good.
Train station.
The cops are like, please, we're trying to save your life, man.
Get out of here.
He wanted to fight, though.
What a weirdo.
No, he wanted to fight.
I'd be surprised if he's actually even a spurs fan.
Yeah, it sounds like it's he put up.
Go ahead.
I'm done, Russo.
Go ahead, Lou.
Clout.
And because he didn't he put up some sort of message after?
He put up a video saying he wanted to do this.
Yeah.
It was what he was hoping.
No, no, but I'm just saying it's an insane person.
I'm not saying they're a real spurs fan.
But there's also just people who like to fight.
Like I just, I want to go back to what I said seven seconds ago.
There are insane people.
What?
People who fight professionally.
That's different.
That's the backyard brawlers.
There's, you know, there's all those times.
If you get paid handsomely to fight, that's normal.
Look, he might end up being the next Kimbo slice.
He might get a big bag out of this.
You could end up on a reality show with Adrian Broner.
Who knows?
Everybody's got to start somewhere.
That's a great point.
Let's focus.
Let's go to when, like, when people were hitting the streets,
because that's what I enjoyed the most.
You got to call out a clip there, Laura Stiles.
You know he doesn't just have.
Look at how many people.
It's so crazy.
Well, that's just a lot of people see these videos,
and they're like, man, that's one corner.
One corner, it's many corners.
Well, I'm just saying that's one section,
not even a full section of the city.
Yeah, it's one little spot.
That's one watch part.
West Village looked insane.
Fort Green looked insane.
I saw many Brooklyn spots looked insane.
Central Park.
Central Park looks pretty crazy.
I'm not going to lie.
Did have a little FOMO, like the way things worked out.
Natalie was out earlier and I ended up home with the baby.
Then she came back so we didn't have like plans.
I did have a little FOMO.
I wouldn't want to be in the middle of that.
But I think I would have liked to have been somewhere to be outside and appreciate that.
Y'all was 50-50.
I wasn't sure.
Right.
And you ended up home?
Yeah, I was at home with Jazz and her sister and Salasi.
And then I got up the next morning at 5.
I mean with Tygo.
Right.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Do you have a little bit of FOMO?
Yeah, that's why I said I was 50-50.
I was kind of like, yeah, and I was like, huh?
And I was like, huh?
And I was like, right.
Right.
That's where I was.
Yeah.
But also, some of it's like, listen, I'm not gonna lie.
Shout out to everyone who's like between the ages of like 20 and 35.
Because it does hit different.
The outsideness of it hits different.
Well, what really hits different is when you're sitting comfortably,
when you're sitting comfortably on the couch
and you get that's FOMO that you speak of.
Yeah.
And then you go to stand up off the couch.
Yeah.
And you're reminded that.
Exactly.
That's tight.
And that was the 50-50 for me.
It was like, oh, I was like, oh, I was sick back.
Yeah.
Because Ricardo was like, I wasn't going to make, stay home with me.
I was like, go, go.
I have the baby.
I'll chill.
You go have a great time.
The next morning he was like, it was so hot.
I thought I was going to pass out.
I'm glad I'd in, you know, I have one of those panic attacks.
It's so claustrophobic.
I was like, you know what?
I made a good choice.
Oh, yeah, because you don't like all of that.
Made a good choice.
We would be remiss, though.
To say, in addition to a sports weekend that was already insane,
do you realize the U.S. played literally the greatest World Cup game they've ever played on Friday?
That's right.
It was insane.
I did go out for that.
The most goals, shout to Filaram Balogoon.
The most goals ever scored by someone on a U.S. team.
In one game.
In one game.
I think in World Cup.
And, but it wasn't just that they won four one and that he was amazing.
The way the goals looked, Laura, normally when the U.S. scores a goal in the World Cup,
it's because someone like fell down and farted and backwards, someone knocked it into a post and in.
Even the own goal, because the first goal was an own goal, even the own goal came off of some crazy sick moves that led to the own goal.
All four of the goals, they looked like they knew how to play.
Soccer. Like I was sitting with other American soccer fans who were just like, is this happening?
Now you know the story about the kid, right?
I know that there is a story. I don't know what the story is.
Um, so let's go to clip four Rassad, because the story's pretty cool.
The star of the U.S. game has a backstory that will drive Trump crazy.
Valoran Baligan became the first U.S. player to score two goals in a single World Cup game since 1930.
But did you know that his parents who were Nigerian and lived in London came to the United States in 2001 for vacation?
When they were heading home, flight attendants did not allow his mom to board the plane,
noticing that she was seven months pregnant.
So they stayed in New York, where she gave birth to him,
making him a citizen of the United States under birthright citizenship,
which is something Donald Trump is trying to take away right now in the Supreme Court.
When Donald Trump took office in January 2025,
he issued a blatantly unconstitutional executive order trying to end birthright citizenship.
Multiple federal courts have stepped in to block it,
and that's now before the Supreme Court.
We will know in a matter of weeks.
And while the World Cup is still happening,
whether or not birthright citizenship is still protected.
It's just wild to me that we have a star in Balligan
who is here under birthright citizenship.
Yet at the same time, this embarrassing, humiliating president
is trying to take that right away
to prevent stories like this from ever happening in the U.S. again.
Uh, hit the button.
You play yourself.
Right?
Do you realize how nuts?
if they go on a run,
which is, I wouldn't have thought possible.
But Paraguay is not a joke.
Paraguay is not a great team.
They're in the same levels to the U.S.
They're a pretty good team.
We destroyed them.
Destroyed.
And looked, in my opinion,
the U.S. looked much better than Brazil or Morocco,
who I watched on Saturday,
who are both supposed to be significantly better, obviously, than the U.S.
So they'll play Australia on Friday.
They're going to get out of this first stage.
If they were to win another game and get to,
to like the quarters or whatever it is.
And actually...
It's huge for the United States.
If they were to do that with this story unfolding,
oh, it would be so crazy.
That would be so crazy.
But I, listen, I talked to some people who are like,
eh, not really in the mood to root for U.S. soccer this year,
like given everything.
But if that's the story, those same people...
But I'm saying...
And also, but my feelings about the soccer community in general
are such that, even though I didn't know Alexi Lawless,
who's like...
conservative is like a hardcore maga lunatic like hardcore congratulations hated like the soccer community
hates him because he was a he was a player he was a defensive player on the 94 u.s world cup team
and then has been doing you know studio hosting for the last 30 years okay i didn't know he was a
maga maniac but in general with the exception of from what i could tell of alexie lawless it's a very
progressive community the soccer community so like i'm not stepping away from u.s soccer
It's like my most patriotic time
Is when I root for U.S. soccer
Yeah, Penaeotis Alexander Lollas
Who was born in Michigan
To immigrant parents
Ah, of course
Of course
Yeah
He is a full-blown, you know
Reposting Trump
But no, his mother's American though
His father's Greek
Father's Greek
So but in general
I like the soccer community here
And it, I'm just, I've always cared for this team
So fun to watch them play great
So the combination of all of it, then the Knicks won a championship.
It's upside down right now, guys.
It's upside down.
It's time for a new chapter.
It's time for some unexpected things.
Our Democratic Socialist mayor takes office,
and now the city's going crazy in the best way possible.
That's right.
The Mom Doni effect.
The Mom Doni effect, if you will.
Trump just has to eat that.
Mom, Donny was where?
Yeah, he was at World Cup.
So he was there.
This was interesting.
Mom Donnie's at the World Cup,
sitting with another mayor.
I don't know who the other mayor was,
and that was with the I show speed.
Maybe a Jersey mayor,
maybe the mayor of this Rutherford.
Yeah, it's the New York, New Jersey.
Because you see on the signs there,
it says New York, New Jersey.
No Met Life, by the way.
Right.
Because FIFA is literally so greeny and so insane
that the stadiums don't get to be called
their stadium name unless the companies
that have the branding, pay again.
Again.
So it's called New York, New Jersey.
I drove to Philly yesterday.
When you drive by the Lanky,
there is no sign that you can't see a sign that says Lincoln.
It just says Philadelphia.
Oh.
It's crazy.
But anyways, to your point, I don't know who the other mayor was either.
But I saw a lot of people on social media
trying to turn Mom Donnie being at the World Cup game
into like, oh, this socialist mayor paid for $1,000 tickets.
And everybody was like, no, he's the mayor.
He was invited to represent the.
And also he made sure New York got a thousand affordable tickets released by FIFA.
He just did that.
He literally just fought.
to get affordable tickets released
so regular people could buy tickets to the World Cup.
Oh, that's fine, I didn't know that.
Yeah, he did that a month ago.
And that was one of his campaign promises.
Was it?
If Jet ass was like, you know, no tickets?
He was like, yo, when the World Cup comes,
we're gonna, you didn't remember that?
He was like, I'm gonna make soccer
going to see the World Cup affordable.
That was like a thing.
I appreciate that.
Very cool.
Listen, he could only squeeze a thousand out of these greedy,
greedy pricks, but guys, I show speed,
he's a sweet kid.
What's wrong with this guy?
He sat next to Mom Donny the whole game.
Did you have that video?
Look at it.
Come on.
Mayor.
Who the mayor?
Now, do you think he's acting?
He's acting.
He's acting.
Oh, nice to meet you, my boss.
We're both the mayor.
You know how many times I've seen I Show Speed act confused about a thing?
And you're sure he's acting.
I don't believe him.
Lovely, lovely, love you.
Just it just happened right now.
Really?
Thank you.
Appreciate that, man.
Appreciate that.
Wait, Mom, Donnie, you said you were listening to us every morning.
He said, no, there's a song of his.
Maybe you're right, maybe he's acting.
I mean, it's...
I just don't believe everything.
How could it be?
No, no, no, no, it could be.
He's what?
How old Zajos shows be?
24 or something like that?
24.
He's not from New York City.
He's in his own world.
You know, these streamers are in their own world, Lord.
Yeah.
So because today was all positive, does that mean tomorrow?
I can tell you some of the highlights I saw from the lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash?
I would say no, I don't care.
At first, first thing, I just don't get.
I don't care.
You don't?
No, I don't.
You know what?
It's hip-hop.
Yeah, but there's so much great hip-hop going on also.
I'm not going to continue to allow you to drag me into the things that don't matter.
Well, they matter.
To who?
There are mad people out there, bro.
You know, I'm, call me gatekeeper, bro.
Like, at a certain point, I'm putting up gates and I'm like, y'all stay over there doing your thing over there.
I don't know.
Maybe some of them you'll tell me you're actually good.
I don't know.
I didn't know who any of them were.
Maybe some of them you'll be like,
nah, this one's pretty good.
I just saw people on stage doing things.
And it was the lyrical lemonade.
And shout to Lyrical Lemonade.
Lyrical lemonade has a festival now.
Yeah.
But that's very much, those are like,
baby artists.
Because they were putting out tapes.
Lyrical lemonade is like mixed tapes.
No, no, I know.
I know.
But at this point, they may need to consider a rebrand with the artists that I saw.
In this day and age,
lyrical is kind of like, it's kind of to each his own.
What are lyrics?
What are lyrics?
Honestly, what is rap?
Because it wasn't, they're not rapping.
It shouldn't be the same genre because you have rapping.
Yeah, but you could do you could be lyrical.
You could be lyrical and not saying anything that makes sense.
Okay, but who is there?
Because lyrics don't actually have to add up to, you know, comprehensive.
You're right.
Because they still are lyrics, even if the lyrics are, hey.
Exactly.
That.
Exactly.
Yeah.
All right.
Do you remember who was there?
No.
Stop trying to have him.
No, I said I'm not doing this today.
All right.
All right.
We've been focused on the next.
we've been mostly positive.
Let's keep it on the high.
Yeah.
Keep it on the high.
You're in the U.S.
soccer.
Positive.
Positive.
All right.
We didn't cover Trump
claiming that the Iran thing
is fixed.
No.
And that the straight of Hormous
is opening back up.
We didn't cover that.
You know why?
Because we don't believe me.
I believe in when I see it.
Yeah, he talked more issue
about Netanyahu.
That's out there.
Said he's a very difficult guy.
That's your boy,
though.
No, that's just,
congratulations.
You plagued yourself.
Stay positive.
All right.
We have a prize.
We have a prize.
Do you have a prize a giveaway.
Go ahead, Rassau.
What do you got?
If you want more positivity,
we got,
it was also the Puerto Rican Day parade this weekend.
And the Knicks was out there if you want.
When I was Alvarado was at the Brooklyn joint.
That was the Brooklyn PR parade.
Is that what you got?
Oh, was that?
Yeah, that was at Jordan Clock?
Fire.
Yo, Rosenberg.
Look through that.
You're going to look for the pure powers?
Yeah.
Shout to pure powers.
We got a box.
Turn a box around so you can see it on camera or.
Okay.
I think you got to do it the other way.
Show my camera.
Oh, there you go.
Boom.
Look at that.
All right.
So what are we having here?
We have that C-Moss gel I was telling you about.
So Laura Stiles, so this is for Father's Day.
Pure Powers reached out to us and they said, hey, you guys can give some of this stuff away.
And for the Father's Day pack.
What's in there, Lord, Rosenberg?
You got your Pure Power organic body scrub.
Love that.
So you need that.
Love that.
You should try it.
You sure?
Yeah.
All right.
Don't talk about my body scrub.
organic shay butter hemp seed oil
nice stay moisturized
we're gonna keep that around the studio
I need that for my elbows in the morning
then you got the exfoliant net
I like that
those are good
you got some
body oil which I'm definitely not doing
I just want to be clear I'm not doing body oil
not doing body
you working wrestling I know unless I have
an entering debut in which case this is the one
your power pure powers is a great brand
if I'm a oil up
your powers for a great brand name
wrestling what
I'm not you go oil up your leg
And then
I'm not like on my leg
And then I have the organic
What is that word?
Oud,
Oud Lux, it's a body wash
I have the organic Oud Lux wash
Seamoss gel
Organic coconut oil
Castor oil
So aloe vera
This is all
What you need
Yo and the reason I ask for this
For Father's Day
is because I know it's a lot of dads
Out there that's ashy
They need some oil
They need some moisturization
And they need a good scrub
So go to purepowers.com or go to their Instagram,
Pure Powers on, what's that, on Instagram.
This is a good gift, guys.
Nice little back here.
Now, Laura, you're in the Seamores game.
You take the capsules, though, and talk about why.
Because I hate the taste of, like, seaweed.
Why, it sounds delicious.
Anything C, I'm like, I cannot.
And I've tried, like, Seamoss,
and people have told me, you can't even taste.
Did they make me a smoothie?
I don't want my smoothie tasting like strawberry fish.
So I keep, I keep, I keep, strawberry fish.
I keep telling Laura, we keep this sea moss around the house
because you put in smoothies.
Smell it.
Not bad or no smell?
No smell.
No smell.
No smell.
I'm very impressed because usually I can detect like a tiny little trace.
I'll be the judge.
I've never smelled it my life.
No, no smell.
No, you would smell ocean.
It would be like an ocean smell.
Yes.
You smell the sea.
Nah, nada.
Not even a little trace.
That's actually, I'm very impressed.
So you could put you, you can, you eat this.
Yes.
Do you put it, do you put it on you as well?
No, it's an inside thing.
No, no, no.
I guess you can put it on you, but it's more for eating because seymost has like, what is it like, 97% of the minerals.
Minerals that you need in your body.
So people say as far as like healing and anti-inflammation, that's like the go-to.
It's very good for you.
It's very good for you.
So you take a scoop, you just throw it in your smoothie and you mix it up here, getting all the nutrients that you're not getting probably in foods and vitamins and other things that you need.
And it's for me?
Thank you, man.
Thank you.
Well, I mean, I was going to give it to Laura Stowles.
Sounds like she's already all set.
That is a great father's day.
Yeah, but make sure you refrigerate that.
Otherwise, you know, it'll, it'll not be good.
No, the smell won't come back.
I just think it could get, you know, what is that called?
Keep her refrigerating.
Keep it refrigerating because it gets spoiled.
Right, spoiled.
And the sea moss, according to Pure Powers, is from a source from Ghana.
And I believe somewhere in the Caribbean as well.
Oh, I might be black after that.
after I take this.
I hate you.
That's not what's going to happen.
Who are we giving it to?
Call number seven.
Call number seven.
Call the number seven.
Call right now.
We got this Pure Powers pack for you for Father's Day.
844, ELR, ELR 3 right now.
Go into EL Army.
Go into the Pure Powers Instagram and just type in ELR.
And maybe they'll throw up a discount code or something.
Maybe we can bully them into a discount code.
A good internet bullying will go a long way for Pure Powers.
It's a family business, a friend of our family.
And so shout to everybody over there, Pure Powers,
and thank you for the C-Moss and everything.
Tomorrow we will get a guru on, but I won't be here.
But we got you.
What do you got now?
I got to go back to Los Angeles.
I got some interviews that I got a handle for Apple, Apple Music.
Check out the E-Bro show every day 3 o'clock on Apple Music.
Put up some New York Celebration mixes last week, too.
That were pretty fine.
What do you got there, Griff?
Griffiths
Here we'll hold the outro
Griffith is wanting us to get Babine on
Babine good morning
Yes good morning
So sorry for leaving you hanging
Earlier on the program
No it's okay
It's okay it's worth the wait
Listen I want to say how amazing
Ananovi did
He showed up when he needed to
And not only that
But the lucky charm is the greatest rapper
Of all time, Nause
Why do you say this?
Well, because
Because when Nas was there, I don't know if you, if everybody noticed, they won.
And I really think that he brought in that New York Queen spirit that we needed.
I'm from Queens.
Queens.
Queens.
Queens.
Well, you're biased.
But yes, we love Nas and maybe here's the lucky charm.
But what about Wu-Tang?
Statenavis actually performed.
Nas was just there hanging out.
No, I know.
I know.
But still the vibe, the energy.
All that comes together.
You know this world revolving.
of our energy.
True.
Facts.
That's why I got the C-Maws.
All right.
Well, thank you so much for your call.
Babine, you're a blessing.
Thanks for supporting ELR.
Thank you.
Thank you.
She was just trying to rep for Queens.
Yeah, I don't know.
After she told me she was from Queens and it was all about Nause,
I was like, wow, you held on to really rep for Naz and Queen.
Listen, I don't know if that was an outro stopping call, but it happened.
Well, look, man, you know, I was following Griff's orders.
No.
You did the right thing for Babine.
Ladies and gentlemen, ELR.
We'll be back tomorrow.
Send your gurus.
Send your gurus over.
What's that email?
The original gurus at gmail.com.
We didn't get to any super chats today.
No.
You didn't even open your iPad today.
You were so amped on the Knicks.
You didn't even, you was ready.
Everyone said be positive.
I said, let's bring the positive vibe.
And you thought the chat would drag you in the negative.
It often does that.
Thank you, guys.
Get that like button.
Congrats, Knicks fans.
There will be a lot of negativity.
