Just don't call in the podcast.
The Ebro-Lora Rosenberg shows.
Hey, okay, okay.
Big Knicks Parade Day.
Ebro-L-L-R-R-R-R-R-R-3.
Remember, 844, E-L-R-R-3.
We're going to do this live hit today.
And then Ron Baskim and King Lul will
going to hit the pavement.
I'm going to go get Issa, Rosenberg, Laura.
We're all going to meet up at the parade.
Yep, yep, yep.
I'm even wearing in celebration with the city.
I'm rocking one of the bootlegs Natalie bought in Harlem the other day.
So you're going full fraud?
Well, I'm just, I don't know if I'll do it at the parade,
but for today's celebratory show.
I wanted to rock the Brunson King of New York.
You know, shouts to the bootleggers, man.
They're going crazy right now.
Listen, man, it's helping the economy.
No, it's literally, the bootlegging is so crazy.
It's happening on the Upper West Side.
At 72nd in Broadway.
Tables.
Harlem, though, was different.
I think Natalie's probably going to wear her Spike Lee one.
That's her favorite one.
It's like Spike's face.
Yeah.
They're doing so many different looks.
It's such a cool.
It's unlike anything else.
Should we do like a big,
should we send Natalie up to Harlem as a part of maybe like a merch giveaway?
Buy a ton of bootlegs.
Like just buy a ton of bootlegs and just give them away on the show.
So we buy the boots.
So we support the bootlegs.
We're supporting the local community.
But now we're giving.
And then we give it away to the fans who are just Knicks fans who want like a ill,
Rando bootleg Nick.
It's not a bad idea.
It's Nat down, though.
Well, I mean, I don't need to send Nat to do it.
At this point, I can just drive to Harlem myself and go get this stuff.
Nah, no, no.
It needs to be that she is the-
She has better taste than you.
The bootleg.
Well, and she's more artsy.
She's more artsy.
She's true.
She was actually bootleg shopping with Just Blaze.
You see?
Two artsy-fartsy people going through bootleg t-shirts.
Just Blaze bought every single one.
She said for a son.
Hey, Nat, if you're watching, let me know how much I got to pay you for it because we can make some content out of it.
You know, Mrs. Rosenberg goes shopping for bootlegs.
You know what I mean?
You go up there.
I'll wire you to cash.
You buy it all.
And then we just, they're 20.
They're 20 apart.
That's the deal.
Although maybe if we bought a lot, we might be able to get them down.
A little disquinto.
Something that is not bootleg is this woman I've never met before who works with you at ESPN, New York.
No, well, she does in that she is.
the analyst for our New York Knicks broadcast. She also has a regular spot on our show during
the basketball season in which she's amazing. She also is a regular on ESPN television covering
all things NBA, WNBA sports, etc. She's also one of my favorite follows in sports.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the program Monica McNutt. Wow, man. What's happening.
Welcome. What an intro, y'all. Thank you for that. I feel so loved. Well, you, listen, if you
haven't felt the love. I saw one of your Instagram posts the other day. That was basically like,
check this out. I may not hit you back, but I see all of y'all and I appreciate the love. So you've
been inundated with a love fest. How's it feel? It is, you know, I, like, it's so weird to
have these moments, right? You get birthdays, weddings, unfortunately, somebody passing, right? So I think
for me, I had to post that because I didn't even realize what was happening. Like, I had a friend
and I was like, dog, you all of it down my timeline in my head. I'm like, what are you talking about? And I'm
finally like went into my messages and I was like oh oh I'm missing a lot of what's going on
um I'm super super grateful like it has been or last week I should say was a hell of a week
personally and professionally um and I have always said Knicks fans in New York have embraced me in a way
that I could have not anticipated and I really really feel that down the stretch here as we closed
out with a championship well Monica the um I really look I've always heard you on with
Rosenberg or heard you call a game and just uh yeah
execution is phenomenal.
So I've always loved that.
We talked specifically a couple of weeks ago about like your voice quality.
It cuts through so nicely.
Like you and Tyler are such an, such an ill team because he has such a traditional kind
of old-timey announcer voice.
And you have a very like calming, personal human tone while also being exquisitely knowledgeable
of the game.
So like your guy's combination has really mesh nicely.
Thanks for that Rosenberg.
I mean, listen, Tyler is, he's really, really talented.
I don't know how long the Knicks will be able to hold on to him
if Mike Green doesn't decide he's ready to move on
because he's that talented.
And we really lucked up as teammates.
I mean, you guys, maybe you guys feel like this about each other on your show.
But like when you strike a rhythm with a coworker
and then you're also able to develop a really dope friendship
But the job is just so much fun doing it together.
We really have lucked up in terms of our partnership.
It's only been two years for us.
Tyler Hardy won a championship.
Like we just have such incredible balance.
So.
Wait, real quick on that, though,
can I ask you a question?
Because you're clearly this,
I'm not just gassing you up.
Like I've watched many people.
No, let's gas a row.
Yeah, I've watched people at ESPN.
Yeah, no, I'll gas you up also.
But I've watched people at ESPN, ascend, descend,
you know, come, go, all the things.
You are clearly a rising.
star and many people you know across sports are seeing what you do i have to admit monica i sort of thought
maybe radio analyst was like a stop a quick stop along the road now with the way things have gone
and what this team has done hey maybe i was wrong altogether but i don't know have you thought
about how long-term a play you as radio analyst for the new york nix could actually be okay last
year I realized that I probably had more runway than I thought initially because I did think
like you, Roseberg coming in, like, this is local, you move on to national, whatever.
But I think somewhere along the way in the last three years for me, my motto has very much
become that I am building a life and not just a career.
And the love that I feel in New York, the joy that I have from radio, which I still think
is the purest form to tell a basketball story.
You got a story.
You got to tap in creatively to listen to what we're saying, to see it in the eye of your
mind.
Like, we get to capture the moments with the city.
I think there's something to it kind of like records are coming back, like it's
vintage in a way, right? And so for me, I don't know what the next steps are, but I'm far more
focused on my life than I am, maybe my career. Like, the career needs to fit the life that I love.
I'll celebrate two years of marriage in August. If we decide to have a family, like, I don't know
if I can be on a road with these fools all the time. Like, we got to figure it out. And I'm in a really
good place right now. I don't be ten toes down. But it's even worse. But Monica, here's the thing.
That was an ill gem you just dropped about building a life versus building a career. Because, like,
you and I know, like, so many of the national broadcasters, like, yo, okay, doing the Knicks
is one thing. And yes, traveling is intense during that season, but it's one very specific thing.
Yo, the schedule, if you ever ask a Kenny Albert what his schedule is, yo, man, and this is true
at WWB, too, with the full-time broadcasters, sometimes I talk to people and I go, I thought I wanted
what you guys might have. This life is untenable. Like, yo, my man Joe Tessator.
is one of the illest broadcasters in the game.
It never stops.
It's every week, a new place all year.
To your point, you lock in doing TV on one side plus a New York job.
I do think it gives you the opportunity for that family balance you might be looking for.
And New York is different, right?
It is local, but it's also New York City.
Correct.
Right?
So it's very different.
And, Monica, you created something.
I don't know how many people do it.
But the way, and I don't know if, and I'd love to hear from you,
Did you do it on your own where you're encouraged to do it?
But the reason you were moving around the algorithm is because you had your phone set up that captures these calls.
And so when you guys close out a game and you do this phenomenal call, that's the piece, right?
So you're taking something that is an audio format and you're using theater of mind and turning it into what we've all had to do in modern media and making it social and connecting with an audience.
Was that your idea to begin putting that phone up?
Because you've been doing that for a while.
It's just, you know, now we're winning NBA championships
while you're doing the thing you've been doing.
Consistency, Ero, consistency, bro.
We've been doing, I think we've been doing the phone.
I've been doing the phone three years.
Tyler's had it with me the entire time.
We've been together.
He texted me this morning.
He's up to 20,000 followers.
When we started the playoffs, he had like 6,000.
I'm like, yeah, bro, you earned that.
Like, I think, again, like, I think the radio is the purest way to tell the story.
But let's be honest, are people listening to us on
on their phone if they're not in their car.
Like I get a ton of text during the postseason
of people that are actually in their cars listening.
And I love that.
But I think that was another way to draw people into the experience.
And just to share, like, y'all, I am so lucky to call my job, my job,
because I would do it for free.
You know what I mean?
And yes, it comes with its stuff once you start getting paid to do it.
But that is such a genuine, emotive moment from both me and Tyler.
And literally last year on the postseason,
we sort of baffled with the idea of also posting the losses,
because like we ended with shot.
But at the same time, we was like,
we're not inviting trolls in that way.
So yes, of course the championship call hit,
but we've been doing that for a while.
Now, Monica, yeah, we did share on our show
that special moment, right?
When we saw the winning shot and your reaction,
which we all loved.
But can you also share some moments
that didn't make the phone?
So yes, yes, I wanna know about those.
What happened after you pressed, stopped?
And you know, we were celebrating with everybody else.
Girl, so after the championship you mean,
or some of the losses, the videos
I don't see.
Oh, well, actually, we're here,
so you might as well share a little bit of both.
Okay, well, I will say after the final,
I was, first of all, I was stunned that I got that emotional
because Tyler asked me earlier in the day,
and I was like, nah, wrong gangster.
Like, nah, it's a championship.
Let's be happy.
And that's not how it went.
But he literally was like,
mine, you have to go do post game.
Like, go.
I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let me turn this off and go down to the court
where the jubulence and me,
euphoric celebration continued.
And we got some really dope interviews
with the guys sitting on the stairwell
that led up to the stage for the trophy presentation.
We called it the stoop, obviously a nod to New York.
But I think the guys were just so relieved and so honest.
And, of course, I've been building rapport with a lot of them for a while now.
So we got some really good moments in terms of those gems.
But, girl, I think, too, like the thing that I've enjoyed about these videos, y'all,
is the stuff that people come back to that has nothing to do with us.
Like, people want to know why my laptop is so loose.
It's a keyboard cover, y'all.
Like, calm down.
People want to know, like, look at the fans in the background.
Like, just the comments get kind of crazy.
It's been a lot, a lot of fun.
I'm glad we've been able to connect it that way.
Monica, did you, the guy that leans over in the championship call,
the dude that leans over and gives you dab.
Rosenberg was like, look at this dude, man.
But, I mean, it was just like a real moment where people are just like,
they see you and they want to be that.
Did you know that guy prior or he was just a Randolph fan?
I met so many fans in San Antonio because a lot of folks, y'all,
and they were like, we decided to have.
the experience because it's a close-out game, but also because it was more cheaper to buy two
tickets, a game ticket, state of hotel, than try to get in the garden. And that's real. But I think
the entire postseason run, y'all, and I'll be honest, I did not call a single suite from this
group, and maybe I'm too close to the forest to see the trees sometimes. But fans would walk up to
and be like, Mon, Knicks and four, Knicks and four. And even as we got to the finals,
like, I live in Harlem. I heard you, I've seen the shirts. The shirts are fire. I can't wear those
at the parade, but they are fire. They're like, Knicks and four. I'm like, y'all. I hear you. I think
we're in a good place, but I do think the sweeps are over, and that's okay, right? And so fans,
to me, like, they infused me sometimes when I was caught up in the analytics or the last thing
that I saw that made me nervous. Like, the belief of this fan base is so, so incredible. And I'm just
so happy that they got that love letter, signed still, they delivered. So, Monica, basketball's
always been your life. You're from the DMV. You go to Georgetown. You play for four years.
You know, by your senior year, you're playing a lot. You're really solid player. At what
point did you know, all right, basketball at Georgetown is going to be the end of my playing
career and I want to, but I still want to be involved in this game. I've never heard your story
of how you knew and when you knew this was going to be your path. Man, Rosenberg somewhere, my
assistant coaches would be laughing at this because I think my senior year, I knew that I wanted to
get into media, which was fine. We knew that. But I also loved the game so much and had to give
credit for so many of my experiences that down the stretch, if my coaches even remotely brought up the fact that
I was a senior, like, I'd like burst into tears. I was like so dramatic. Like I had a terrible
shooting slump. I remember my dad after the text of my head coach because she was like, what is going
on with her? And he was like, she's sad about the end. Like, just don't mention the end to her.
She'll be okay. So I think I had a very clear vision of not wanting to necessarily go overseas.
I don't have many regrets in my life, y'all. But even if it didn't work out, sometimes I do
regret not at least attempting to make a WMBA roster just to say that I did it. But I was very, but I was
very clear in that I did want to go overseas and come back at 28, 27, and just be started my
career. So we left Georgetown. We did a year as a kindergarten aide in the D.C. public
charter school, which was a very meaningful experience. And then I went to grad school and kind of
kept on one foot after the other. And here we are. Like, in many ways, this is what 21-year-old
mine graduating from Georgetown could not have even put together as a dream.
Do you have any regrets of how you dealt with the Swifties?
Zero.
Another important question.
Yeah, well, how would she have any regrets?
No, I was joking.
I was joking.
She had TMZ got a camera in her face and she was like, I said what I said.
Yeah, he did.
That already happened.
And then Jalen Brunson obviously tried to cave for you after the chip and was like,
Swifty, she's good.
Leave her alone.
Are they still bothering you?
And so here's the thing.
I do not know.
So the day that that happens, my home girl text me because it's right before game four, right?
She's like, uh-oh.
Because that was, first of all, the hot mic was before the game.
It wasn't even like in a commercial.
It was before the game.
We didn't even realize, you know, obviously we didn't realize we were born.
So my home girl text me and she's like, oh, watch out for the Swiffies.
This is like my fourth time going viral for some reason.
I was like, all right, here we go.
But for my radio partner, who I love in the door, who is a Taylor Swift and he and his wife,
like I don't have no issues with Taylor Swift.
He is basically spazzing out, y'all.
Like I could feel our energy shift.
And of course, my job, this is game four.
The team's down 29.
We're going viral.
He's worried about his job.
I'm like, it'll be fine.
Like, whatever.
There's a lot going on that particular night.
And so I think for me, I was like, I can't lose my job over that.
So here we go.
Like, let me just take a deep breath and ride it out and see where this takes us.
Because that's the way going viral goes.
But I had had that experience.
And again, I talked to you about how dope Tyler is as a partner and a friend.
After everything kind of settled a bit, he's apologizing to me for not work for not
considering what the situation that I was in.
I'm apologizing to him for putting him in a tough situation.
So it was a really good moment for us professionally and personally as friends and as partners.
But like what you want bro?
Like here's the thing.
Anybody also by the way get out of here colloquially is literally not literal.
Like don't do that.
Everybody calm down.
That's what they tried to do.
Yes.
Exactly.
The celebrity Knicks fans bar in terms of their boldness whether they can be in the arena or not is so high.
So forgive me that I had not
not seen a symbiotic energy between the folks we know, Spike, Joe, Shalabay, Mariska, all of that.
My bad, everybody, cool.
I can appreciate your passion with these, but we good.
So to your point, Ebro, the clip going viral from Game 4 drowned out all the noise for me.
Like, I saw a little bit on my personal algorithm, but for the most part, people were still geeking about the game,
which is what I said to TMZ.
I know it was a big deal online, but in real life, did I see that game?
Like, I'm living my dream.
And not only that, Wu-Tang performed at the halftime, and that's the real reason they was able to make the comeback.
Let's talk about it.
Come on.
By the way, it's so funny, too, because the only thing I knew about,
and I'm not in the Swifty world, obviously,
but the only thing I knew about it was Monica responding to it
and the chatter that it happened.
I saw no actual.
So when I talked to me the other day,
I was like, this was the perfect marketing thing to happen for you.
Yes.
There was no downside.
It was just your name, TMZ,
a nothing thing you cannot get fired for.
That's, oh, and Monica,
if you're going to have a hot mic moment get caught,
You know how lucky?
All of us have said things in front of a microphone.
That would be way worse than Taylor Swift get out of here.
Here's the thing, Rosenberg.
Monica never says anything incorrect.
That's right.
So hot mic or not, Monica's, you know what I mean?
It's who she is in her heart.
That's exactly right.
You're never going to catch a flipping.
Yo, and I'll tell you what, I just felt like people were,
I can be critical of Taylor Swift.
And there were certainly some dance moments during the game,
not my favorite.
Okay?
Oh boy, now you're going to go viral.
Her friend wearing the shirt that said Nicole Kidman, nah, that was a reach.
Okay, the girl from Haim with the Nicole Kid, nah, didn't work for me.
But, no, I was terrible.
But that all being said with all the things people want to say about Taylor,
yo, she bought a crazy apartment in New York, has songs about New York.
Like she definitely is somewhat committed.
If people want to point at frauds, I look more at Scatibo and Jackson Dart.
They just jumped on board this year.
Not Taylor Swift.
Right. Facts.
If they got drafted somewhere else, would they be Knicks fans?
Unfortunately.
Of course not.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't be.
And also Taylor, who was at the Cavs game, though.
Remember, she was sitting next.
Thank you, Ebro.
That's the part that threw me.
That, no, I get it.
Again, as I said in both all the Breakfast Club, TMZ, my bad, we cool.
everybody come on orange and blue skies for all of us but i think to me i mean i have i my ex was a
dallas guy i'm a washington guy like i still had on my gear i don't care right and in cleveland
mom was the word but okay so you get your man's back i guess how often do you in uh how often do you
and josh hart uh talk commanders oh we have to survive in that eagle's locker room so it is our
it is our point of unison because you know so many eagles fans terrible i never even thought about
that don't don't remind me because i really like this team's
All the Eagles fans, McHale.
Jaylin.
All the Nova kids.
Oh, wow.
All the Nova kids.
They all just took on, really.
They just go to school at Villanova.
Jaylen was Eagles.
I mean, he could have been either way.
Isn't he from New Brunswick?
Yeah, but they're all stars in Philly.
And they became a, you know, it's a thing.
Has that, was that hard for you getting, getting past the, I mean, there was a time.
I guess it predates you essentially, but where Villanova, Georgetown was a thing.
So it has.
hasn't been a thing in so long, but I remember when I was in school, when we were up and they
were not. The chant to them on one of those snowmageddon days that we walked to the arena for
the game was safety school to Villanova. And I was like, no, we're snobby. No, hold on. That
snobbiness is chanting safety school at Villanova is so crazy for how good a school of Villanova is.
My favorite Villanova joke was that I made fun of my super white friend who went to Villanovo
was just calling it vanilla no fun.
Appropriate. Appropriate.
I will say this, though, y'all, because I was covering, like, you know, the past to get to New York.
I used to work for a sports network that no longer exists.
And so I was at the National Championship game when Chris Jenkins, shout of to Chris Jenkins,
D&B product, went to Bishop McNamara, hit the three, right?
And I remember going to the game being like, I'm going to root for the conference because that's what we do,
like, whatever.
He hit the shot.
I have never been so sick in an airport the next day at the fact that they won a championship,
and we did like we were like wherever in the wilderness um but it was a great game but i was like sick
i was like i will never do that again that was one of the greatest yo the fact that jalen brunson
that these villanova kids have been involved in not only the jenkins shot which laura was a buzzer
beater in the final game to win the tournament it's legitimately maybe the greatest college basketball
all play of all time to then be involved in that Monica and the comeback like there is just a magic
about these guys it's kind of hard to know it when you look at the fact that they were down 75% of
the time in the in the series I'll want up you in a postseason in a post yeah how about this though
and I know Monica knows this they were down double digits more than they were leading in the series
crazy it's insane so so Monica you at the airport you just landed
and you're giving us a few minutes of your time
before we all go over to the parade.
What happens for you today at the parade?
Oh, man, I got some meta glasses.
I want to float with the guys,
and we'll see where it goes.
Wait, are you on the player float?
Yeah, Alan and I are each on one.
Wow.
Alan didn't even invite you, bro.
No, by the way, I don't even know
if Alan realizes that's his duty.
I'll be honest.
I was texting with him earlier.
He's like, I don't know what to do.
Am I waving?
It sounds like you're,
doing interviews, bro, is what it sounds like.
Metaglasses is the way to go, though.
I'm really excited for that.
And I've been very anti-metaglasses, but this is like one of one for the one.
So we're going to do it.
We're going to edit that out just in case they want to get you an endorsement.
I'm very excited.
Monica loves the meta-glasses.
I'm excited, though.
I did tell, I have to tell the guys, because after they won the championship, y'all, it was
bottles being passed everywhere.
Hey, there's cameras.
Don't pass me no bottles.
That's right.
That's right.
Professionale, yes.
And Monica, speaking of sponsors, State Farm Commercial.
That was huge.
I just saw it during the, I don't know how long that's been out with you and Mike Breen.
I just saw it during the finals.
How long has it been out?
And I'm sure that's taking you to a whole other level.
That's a huge.
So I'm not going to lie, you bro, that was my second one.
And these things, a commercial is short anyway.
But when we got to shoot that one,
I was like, oh, no, this has, like, quality face time.
Yes.
I'm in this joint.
Yeah, you are.
We shot that over All-Star Weekend in Atlanta at the State Farm Arena that the Hawks play at.
I think it started running, I want to say mid-March.
And I know the runtime is through, I believe, the fall to start of the next NBA season.
So I'm excited for that one.
That was a good one.
You have so much amazing things happening.
I'm first time meeting you, but I said in one of the comments, there was something about some Swifties.
I was like, nah, we rocked.
for Monica. I never met the moment of my life.
It's just how cool
she is. The fact
that she lives in Harlem.
Who wants what? If it was
getting that. By the way, I'm on the front line.
She's a dog mom. She's from the DMV.
Now, she's got, listen, Monica
checks a lot of boxes. For sure.
Like, we met
the first time we ever met, I think
Monica, the first time we ever met was in the suite.
I think so, yeah.
At a random Knicks game where she
was starting to do radio and then like, you
know, maybe you were doing pre and post
and so you were hanging in the suite in between
and we started talking commanders right away
and I didn't, I'd already, you just jump off the page
as an interesting Brock.
You did not talk to anybody about, is there anybody that you don't?
Don't do that you, bro. Come on, relax. Let's my man list.
Monica, how about this? I always hear it.
No, Monica, listen. And I know the audience
hears all the time. No. Like it never, ever.
There's never a conversation where he's like,
yo, I saw so and so and it was a great conversation.
It's always, I saw so and so.
They're from D.C.
And we talked about the commandant.
This man hated on me because the other night I was at a party with the Knicks.
And I've never met Josh Hart in my life.
And of course I say congrats, super happy for you.
You play great.
You're the heart and soul of the team.
Yo, what's what you think Jayden's having a bounce back year or what?
And Ebro's giving me a hard time.
I was like what?
He just won the NBA championship.
He acted like he wouldn't want to talk about that.
And I'm like, yes, he would.
I was just about to say, but I'm sure that Josh had opinions.
Like I'm sure he was ready.
Yo, can you, listen, the commanders haven't won.
Since 91.
All right.
It's not 73.
They've changed their name.
Sure.
Change our ownership.
We got new ownership.
Thank you.
New uniforms.
There's supposedly, it's all good stuff.
None of it is sniffing a championship.
The man just won a championship in the NBA, and we're talking about football.
I don't understand.
I don't get it.
I mean, Rosenberg said all what he,
he said everything you were supposed to say.
No, but congratulations.
I did it.
And end.
End.
No, but you're not.
But move on.
You're not insane.
Monica, he doesn't get it.
You're wrong on this.
He's not a team fan, Monica.
He doesn't know what it's like to truly these.
You think he would have rather me just yap him up about what a great game.
Maybe he'd rather you not yap him up.
How about a congrats and that's not done.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Let me give you an example.
Let me give you anywhere right now, right?
Not in New York, but you know that you're about to have a conversation with somebody about the Knicks.
Like what you mean?
This is the point of connection.
Like sports unite to fall in this divisive time.
What do you mean?
Thank you.
But you're talking to a Nick who just got an NBA championship.
We're talking about some losers.
Why?
See now.
Hey, chill.
Monica, he's a Raider.
He was a Raiders fan.
He's broken.
He's broken.
He's broken.
Okay.
Well, Monica, it was great seeing you.
We won't see you.
at the parade because you're going to be in the in the dope spot.
We don't know where in the hell we're going to be,
but we're going to be out there.
Maybe you'll see us in the crowd.
Wave to us.
It's going to be great.
People spitting on us and spilling.
Make sure y'all get you out of my met a glass.
There you go.
There you go.
Monica McNutt, ladies and gentlemen,
congratulations all your success.
And just keep being amazing.
Yeah, have fun, Mon.
Thank you guys.
Thanks, y'all.
See y'all soon.
Monica McNutt.

With a fit that creates natural movement and a wide leg that feels modern, not overwhelming.

Old Navy's drapey denim wide leg.
Good time.
She's so cool, man.
Since the second I met her, just knew she was super cool.
Always knew she was dope.
It's been great.
Those D.C. people are really cool, though.
No, honestly.
That's a real thing.
It's a real thing.
It is a real thing.
And to the point I was making, like, it's weird.
DC is a pretty big place, like the ninth biggest market.
But we don't feel that big in the entertainment and sports world.
So that is part of why, like, you're making fun of me about the commanders thing.
There aren't a ton of us.
So we do all kind of link up in a way.
Same with the Bay.
Same with the Bay.
Me, C, C, C, sway.
You know what I mean?
It's just like people from the Bay.
Matt Barnes is from Northern California.
Like, there's people where you be like, there's a, there is a thing where you just be like, yo.
Now, I'll be honest.
I'm not like you.
So.
But you're not as big a fan of any one thing.
Yeah, I'm not going to.
Yeah, I'm not.
If you were a Niners fan, there's something to talk about.
There's something to talk about.
And I think that's where I land with this commander's thing.
But I was.
There's nothing really to talk about.
No, when I was a kid, though, they were the Niners.
They won't three Super Bowls.
And when I was a kid, they were the Niners.
The Raiders were also winners.
No, no, they weren't.
We stopped it.
We beat y'all.
The Raiders' last one.
No, didn't we beat y'all?
We beat y'all.
And we beat y'all, Marcus Allen, 72 yards.
You know what happened.
Stop it.
I thought we lost.
I was confused.
We lost.
I thought we beat the Raiders lost to Miami.
No, we beat Miami and lost to the Raiders.
Sorry.
I remember.
I was pre-me.
I was pre-me. I was 87 was my first one.
Yeah, no, I was, remember, I'm...
This is when you used to be a fan.
Yeah, 83, 84.
Yes, King Luke.
I'll just say the Raiders and commanders have faced each other 16 times.
Oh, wow.
Including one postseason matchup.
The all-time series is tied at 8 and 8.
There you go.
Yeah, but if you got the Super Bowl.
But guess what?
There's that, and they're also just back to the fact,
neither team matters right now.
So why are we talking about?
Hold on.
It's about the Knicks.
Yeah, but don't, don't...
Don't keep being intentionally disrespectful.
I'm a year removed from a championship game.
A championship appearance.
A championship game appearance.
We got a quarterback.
No, you do.
We're black owned.
Yeah, this is my team.
The commanders.
Oh, my God.
The command is my team.
By the way, Laura, just so you know,
the black owned part is also a joke because it's 1%, 2%.
It's Magic Johnson who has a piece, but we count it.
Yes.
I love it.
It's the Magic Man.
No, it's the Magic Man.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
And by the way, you see?
what he did for the Dodgers.
Bro, look at them.
You saw what he did for Pepsi.
Talk about it.
And the movie theaters.
Yo, real talk.
And Starbucks.
I saw Magic big it up.
Jalen Brunson the other day.
It was awesome.
What was he saying?
He was just talking about how awesome he is
and how much this whole thing starts with him
and the fact that he gave up $100 million
and how if he doesn't decide to push aside the $100 million,
you know, to believe in this thing and figure,
I'll get it back on the back end,
but let me free up enough money so this team can do what it needs to do.
Brunson's the perfect star.
Like he just really, really,
yo, when I met him the other day,
first time I've ever met him.
He, I was saying hello to him.
And as I was saying hello to him,
he recognized my friend,
Skylar, who's an actor.
And apparently Brunson's sister's very into pitch perfect.
So my boy, Skyler, he has,
the people who are a fan of pitch perfect,
it's a thing.
It's a thing, right?
I've never seen it.
I love that I've never seen it.
Because when I'm out with him,
People come up to him like, oh my God, pitch perfect.
I'm like, they really love this pitch perfect.
Have you seen pitch perfect?
I don't know what you're talking about.
Yeah, you do.
It's the singing, it's like a musical.
You never heard of pitch perfect.
I don't know.
You know, I haven't watched.
Is somebody to watch.
I'm going to ask him.
So as I just make this point to say, as I'm saying what's up to him,
he catches Skyler's, oh man, and gets excited.
Stopps himself from being rude to turn to me and be like,
hey, man.
Yo, hey, what?
Hey, yo, pleasure.
Nice to meet you, blah, blah.
And then I seem like, hey.
But like the politeness,
even in the moment where everything is pulling you
a million different directions
was just the experience I needed to cap off the fact
that he's already seemed like this guy says the right thing.
He does the right thing.
It's just not, he's just a lovely,
like what a cool thing to have a leader
who seems like literally Laura does the right thing
at every turn.
It's not that common.
Well, and moving forward things get tough.
I didn't bring it up to Monica
because in my brain, I'm like,
I know where you're going to go.
I don't like it.
I don't like it either, but it's reality, right?
I know you, so why are you doing this?
Well, wait.
Why are you?
Why?
Well, no, I didn't bring it up to Monica because I don't know what the future of like the Knicks are.
Oh, maybe I didn't know what you think I was.
Oh.
Well, they accept the White House invitation.
That's Dolan's man.
I know.
So if you, if you kind of got to go all or none, don't you?
Has, okay.
Has there ever been a time where only a few of the team go?
I don't know about basketball.
This is a tough.
It's not a few.
You definitely can't have three.
That would look nuts.
Right.
It's got to be at least like seven, eight for you to do it of a basketball team.
So, but you were going to go somewhere else.
I was actually just thinking about the future of the team.
The future of the team is very secure.
Yeah, it seems like it.
But, you know, Jalen's going to want more money.
The whole thing about I passed on $100 million.
I don't know if I'm doing that.
Like, am I doing that again?
No, he's not going to.
Yeah.
They'll pay him the next time.
But what does that look like?
how does that change the dynamics of the team?
You know what I mean?
That kind of thing.
But when is he up?
A couple of years of it.
I think there's still a lot of windows.
There's time for sure.
So we, you know, people are going to be talking repeat.
That's another conversation I was going to.
I didn't want to bring up today because we're celebrating at the parade.
And it's like, are we already talking about repeats and stuff?
We haven't even got through the parade.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know.
I was having that argument too.
Like, for me, my team wins a championship after 53 years is going to take me a minute
before I start thinking about can they do it again.
Right.
man, let's just live in this moment.
Let's live in this moment.
Let's celebrate.
But my point is all of these conversations start to come up.
Things get complicated.
Yeah, winning and eyeballs and money.
Yes, all of it.
I saw Cat.
I saw Cat two days ago, like right, the two days, a couple days after the championship,
he was at Raising Cains doing, him and Jordan Woods were at Raising Cains,
him doing some, you know, big promotional, you know, big commercial situation.
They already had big commercials leading into this.
What was the big?
commercial with like all of them in it.
Oh, when they're walking up to hill.
Where they're walking up to Hill. With John Starks and all of them.
Yeah. With the Legends too.
Yeah. That was a cell phone company. Yeah.
AT&T. Maybe it was AT&T.
That was really good. They're already getting that look. By the way,
we had Patrick Ewing on our afternoon show the other day.
He's so elated, right?
Yo, man.
Were you able to ask him, how does it feel that he never got it? And now he's kind of a part
of his moment? I didn't specifically say it in that way. But yeah, he, he, he, he, he, he, he,
clearly feel super connected to this.
He gave a speech to them.
I was telling Laura,
he gave a speech to them after game three against Atlanta
when they were down 2-1.
He gave them a,
he had a talk with the whole team
about basically,
you don't want to miss out on this opportunity
because he went in 94.
They came so close.
We know what happened against Houston.
99 comes around.
He gets hurt.
And that's it.
Yeah.
And then the rest of your life,
it's a what if.
Right, right, right.
So to get that close to the,
championship. And I remember when it was leading up to the championship, I guess I started to take it
super seriously. When they started like beating up on Cleveland, I was like, oh, they might be really
for real. Like this isn't fluky anymore. This is now what they do every night. I saw the odds come out
against OKC and San Antonio. Either one, they were a significant dog. And I was like, people are starting
I never saw it.
I never saw it only because OKC, yes, was kind of like, ooh.
But I don't know.
But in retrospect, should they really be like people got too gassed on OKC a year ago?
Because we were desperate for a next team post-Goldden State to be like, who's that team?
But SG is great.
SG is great.
And, you know, Hartenstein's good.
And what's the other talk?
Check Holmgren.
Holmgren's eh.
He's sometimey.
And then they got
What's the
Jalen
They have their Jailin who's their jailin
They have their Jailin
But the kid
Dark Skin kid with the dreds
Who's kind of brolic
Dark skin brawlick guy
With the dreads
I know
It narrows it down doesn't it
No I didn't mean it that way
I just meant like I'm picturing someone on
If you were on ESPN right now
And you and they were like
Getting to EBRID Hebride's like
Hey listen what about my man
My man
Dark skin guy
Broly E Brolet
With the dress
Um
But at any rate, I just didn't, I didn't believe that at all positions, they were really a threat the same way and didn't move the same way the Knicks do.
The same thing about San Antonio.
Yes, Wimby could get out there and get you 40, right?
He can get out there and give you mad blocks and he's going to distract mad shots.
And Castle's amazing.
I just feel like the Knicks had a deeper team.
I didn't agree with you.
I think San Antonio has plenty.
They have at least a really great first six, seven play.
I just to me it was the way I don't agree with really great I feel like they have a great three
They have and then they have and then and and four Deerrin Fox but he also is but that's real I mean the nicks when you really think about it
That's what the nicks have we just have come to know all their other role players and the way they play is so team
That that that's that to me is the difference they're just such a great team the nicks and the way they and the way they played in this playoff yeah maybe I'm
When they play Brunson ball, as I call it, it really can bail them out every once in a while,
but they're not the best version of them.
Right.
Stand back and watch Jalen do what he does.
No, for sure.
But then they'll pivot and go through Kat sometimes and bring Kat to the top and rotate that way.
But that changed the end.
But that, when that happened, when Mike Brown made that move,
and we're going to run the offense through Kat, it completely changes.
Or when they put Alvarado and Brunson on the floor at the same time, which sped the whole game up.
Or the nights where you have like an OG comes,
it just gets hot in a quarter and starts going from three
and getting boards and playing D.
Or you got McHale Bridges, right?
The first series was OG series.
Don't forget.
I thought OG was the MVP of the first series.
Kat was the MVP, I think, of the next series, maybe series plus.
And then, of course, you get to the finals.
But that's what I mean.
The Knicks are a deeper team.
That's why I think what I mean.
And most teams don't have somebody who can physically deal with OG.
Yeah, no, I agree.
I just think that I just wouldn't sleep on those those that starting five of San Antonio was going to be a problem for a long time.
Yes.
And they're young.
They're very young and very good.
Wembe needs to learn not be a bitch because I was, I knew he was going to turn out to be a heel.
I've always concede the heel in Wemby, but it, it bordered on straight up bitch.
The sticking his leg out under Jalen, that was terrible.
That was terrible.
If Jalen had actually, Laura, so basically they changed the rule a few years ago and created a defense.
It's a foul.
If you go to shoot a jump shot, you have to have a landing space.
If someone's foot, if they try to run out and block your shot and their foot ends up under where you land, it's a foul.
That's a foul.
If you do that intentionally, it's a flagrant foul because you're risking the person landing on you and rolling their ankle and really getting hurt.
Wembe clearly did it intentionally to Jalen.
I love Wemby.
I really do think he's going to be one of the phases of the least.
and he's incredible.
He could end up being a top five player
who's ever played basketball.
He's that good.
That was some bitch shit.
That was just really good.
Yeah, but there's multiple things.
You have the mush on Jalen.
You have that on Jalen.
The elbow in the first round of the place.
Elbow, you also have the one where he's trying to kick the dude
in the back of the leg where he throws a gun.
I almost couldn't believe that.
I thought that was AI.
Me too at first, but then I saw people covering it.
I literally thought it was AI the way he runs out and I couldn't believe he stepped out.
It doesn't make sense.
And then his attitude in the interviews, it's.
So I really want to like Wimby, right?
because I like seeing somebody who's, you know,
I love the whole going to the, you know,
mountains and studying and doing all that.
I love the no soft drink thing.
I love,
I want to love it.
I really want.
I love this San Antonio organization.
I love pop.
It feels not pop.
But he has things of him that are not quite pop-like.
But that was whole shit.
To the point where at first,
when they threw an edge of him,
oh shit.
You know what you do on this show.
To the point where they threw the egg at him after I was like,
nah.
That's right.
But you know what?
You're a little bitch.
You got egged.
That's what you get.
You know the egg didn't hit him, right?
It doesn't matter.
From the other angle,
but from one angle,
I thought it hit him in the head.
I thought so too.
No.
I thought it was two eggs.
So funny.
Yo, the internet's a crazy place.
I saw the video
people filming from the hotel side.
The egg hit a post above him.
No.
I thought it bounced right off his head.
No.
So I don't want to disappoint you,
but it did not hit him.
Well, it should have.
Yeah, no.
See?
No, it's not good.
But then when you think about it,
I mean, how do I say this respectfully?
You're not.
He is French.
What's that mean?
I love France.
I love France.
And I love going there, spending time.
Not after you say what you're about to say.
No, well, listen, having a little bit of attitude is part of the French dynamic.
We're not going to pretend like it's not.
It is part of the dynamic.
Okay.
But that doesn't mean being a...
Zee, ziz.
I'm just saying it's kind of like...
But that's like, you know, having attitudes part of the New York dynamic,
but playing dirt.
ain't like you know what I'm saying that's what we're talking about the dirty part you're
it's the dirty part you're trying to harm some I mean the press conference more is the
I'm fine okay fine but no the dirty part it's the dirt the press conference just goes oh
you're being a sore loser if none of the other stuff happens you add it all together that's
really like you have a character flaw sir and you sir are you kind of think this thing was like
a layup for you and you're tight that it didn't get done and you're maybe you're not
accustomed to working that hard maybe you're not really accustomed to the
that really are in this game.
Like maybe there's some things where you're accustomed to being the biggest,
most sought after thing.
And now you,
but that's still not the dirty thing.
The dirty thing is a different thing.
And listen,
we've had other players we love who are good people,
Dremont and dirty players at the same time.
Dremont has been dirty before.
Kick you in the nuts.
I'm intentionally kicking you in the nuts.
And I don't care what he said.
I love Dremont,
but you can't escape it.
I watched the video.
That's why he got suspended in 2016.
The stomp on the chest.
is crazy.
No, the chest stump was absolutely insane, bro.
It was a wrestling move.
And it caught, but remember, his suspension gave LeBron in 2016.
It sounds crazy.
If you saw the video, you like,
And yo, I just saw Draymond last week, too, by the way.
Crazy.
Oh, he's a great guy.
Love him.
But he's, he had dirty moments.
Yeah.
So there is a weird disconnect.
I'm glad you brought that up because that makes it so I can still love Wembe.
He just makes a bad.
Because you love Draymond, but you're like, yo, my man, what are you doing out there
sometimes?
What is that?
Like, why when you're on the court, you know we can see you.
Like, I think they have to forget.
I think psychologically they forget that people are alive.
How old is one be?
22.
He's 23, something like that, 22, 23?
Yeah, he's super young too.
Yo, and I've never been near him.
I've heard that in person, he is literally alien-like.
Like, you cannot believe this man in person.
Yeah, he's 7-4.
7-4-5.
His arms are what, nine feet?
Bro, and then, Laura, he can dribble.
He can step back and shoot the three from 40 feet.
We've never, no one's ever been him.
No one.
There's not even anyone close.
The Knicks played in the finals.
The Knicks played Hakeem Elygian, David Robinson, and Tim Duncan.
This guy's going to be better than all of them.
That's how great, Wembe, assuming he's healthy and gets to have a career, God willing.
That's how good he is.
He is as talent.
He should be a top 10.
If his career continues,
he should end up a top 10 player
of all time who's ever played the game.
This is a beat of 250.
And we're celebrating Black Music Month,
a celebration of legacy,
creativity, and global influence of Black music.
Today, we celebrate the legendary Leotane Price.
One of the most important voices in American history.
Opera began in 16th century Italy.
But black artists helped expand and redefine what that tradition could become.
In the late 1800s, pioneering performers like Matilda Jones
helped open the doors for future generations of black classical artists by appearing on some of America's most respected stages.
Then came Leotene Price. Born in Mississippi, Price brought a voice that was rich, powerful, and unforgettable.
In 1955, she became the first black opera singer featured in a major television opera production with NBC Opera Theater.
She later earned worldwide acclaim performing at the Metropolitan Opera and internationally.
At 99 years old, Leotene Price remains a symbol of excellence, dissonable.
Plan, Grace, and artistic greatness worldwide.
Black Music Month Amplified Voices is sponsored by AARP.
Laura, speaking of the parade, the NICS, everything going on, what is the rules?
We're about to head out there now, but there's like, you can't do this, you can't do that.
So just so you know, security screening starts at 6 a.m. for everyone and everyone gets checked.
They're letting everybody.
No, no bags.
Okay.
No backpacks.
Okay.
No chairs.
Yes.
No cool.
Coolers, no drones, no bikes, no scooters, no strollers, very important, no umbrellas, no pets, sorry, bear, and no weapons.
No weapons.
Yes, and then you can only bring plastic water bottles, anything glass or metal will be confiscated.
And if you live or you work along the parade route, you have to bring ID for access.
Wow. Okay. So it's going down. Yeah, all right. So let's start again, run it again. No, no bags. Hold on.
No strollers.
No, let's go.
Let's go.
No bags, no backpacks.
No backpacks.
Okay, and no chairs, no coolers.
And bags include purses, I'm assuming.

I guess, yeah.
Which is going to be a little, no purses?
Maybe if you have like a little one, but I don't know.
I wouldn't do it.
I would just, I would just put, wear some cargo pens, put it in your pocket.
Yeah.
No coolers, no drones, no chairs, no bikes, no scooters, no strollers, no umbrellas, no pets, no weapons, no, in only plastic water bottles.
And it may rain.
Oh.
There's a chance of rain.
Which, by the way, is trash because the last two days have been perfect.
I know, bro.
That would be super trash.
But it is what it is.
Listen, what we're not going to do after 53 years is get upset.
I like that you're saying we.
We as New Yorkers.
What we're not going to do after 53 years is complain that the weather on parade day wasn't perfect.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, but the last two days, it was like 77 and sunny.
The weather's been incredible.
Also incredible, we have a new sponsor, ELR.
Pay attention.
Check out Basque and Lather who has.
Beer talk.
If you've been noticing my beard has been amazing, the last.
few I mean almost a month now.
When you say amazing, when you say amazing, you clearly don't mean color.
So you mean thickness.
Wait, what you think, you think gray is not amazing?
You think salt and pepper is not amazing?
You think the way this thing lays down?
There's, wait, you got some pepper?
I'm sensing lots of salt.
Yeah.
Now, it's feeling very salty, bro.
But it also smells amazing, too, thanks to Baskin Latt.
Well, I'm not going to touch it, but does it feel nice?
It feels amazing.
I don't want your dingy hands in my hair anyway.
I need to get my game up.
You do look moisturized, I will say.
I sit close to you and it's always very moistized.
Well, that's because Baskin' Lather sent me a pack.
The beard growth magic, the men's healthy hair and beard starter kit.
I got it all.
And, you know, I'm a variant of Baskin Lather because it's a black and family-owned operators.
We love it.
I'm all the way in.
We love that.
But the beard growth magic is an oil for a fuller, thicker, facial hair, which if you're, look, okay, let me, I'll just, people ask, and I'll tell you about my beard regimen.
So Baskin Lather makes a conditioner, okay?
It is like a, you know, like you something that you would use in a shower.
What I do is I take a little bit of that, a little bit.
And I put it in my beard in the morning.
It's like a, it smells good.
In the shower?
No, no, no, no.
And I'm out when it's just a little wet.
Yeah.
And so I use a little bit of that.
And then I take just a little drop of the oil and I seal in the conditioner with a little bit of oil.
That way the moisture's held for the day.
Got it.
Right?
Got it.
And I got a little oil on there to make sure things don't get brittle and crazy.
Yeah.
That's it.
The only other thing I'll let y'all know on the beard thing is fellas, brush your beard.
Same thing if you had hair, right?
And most, you know, if you're black, you're used to having, like, hair that you got to tame and you got to brush.
That's a thing.
Some of you white guys may not have had to tame and brush hair in your life.
But to get hair to behave a certain way and also not get brittle and stay healthy.
where you got to brush that joint.
So there is, when I put the conditioner in,
I do brush it with the conditioner in
and then I seal it with a little bit of oil.
Yeah, the basket and lab.
Wait, did you give all the basketball other information.
I did not.
I was just telling you all about how much of a basketball ladder,
but I didn't get to how you could get some.
That's what we need to do right now.
So 20% off.
You want Baskin Lather?
Go to Baskin Lather.
C.O.com and of course the code,
ELR.
So E L.R.
All the soldiers.
I know you got a man with a beard in your life.
They also have other products, by the way, if you're not a man,
or if you don't have a man with a beard and whatever I'm trying to say.
You know what I'm trying to say.
A bearded man.
Somebody doesn't have a man.
Because I bought Issa some baskin leather as well.
Oh, nice.
Right?
So Issa is just regular hair products for like conditioner.
Also, if you have breakage around the edges and things like that, they have oil for that.
They have tons of products for women's hair too.
Oh, I'm going to check this out too.
I need a little 20% off.
Let's do it.
So you get that with the ELR code.
So once again, Baskin Lather, co.com, code ELR 20% off.
All right?
So make that happen, EL Army.

and Louis
live from,
well,
live to tape
from the parade.
That's on tomorrow show.
Well,
I won't be here tomorrow.
Oh,
that's right.
I'm back out.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah.
Jazz birthday situation.
Well,
we got jazz birthday situation
where I got to travel again too
and then I got a
and then,
yes,
and then come back again.
So I've been in and out of time.
You've been on the grizzly
these days, my guy?
It's not stopping.
It's not stopping.
It's not stopping.
It's all good.
You got a vacation on the books?
July 1st through the 7th.
First through 7th.
We do our annual family vacation down to the Bahamas.
Ah, the Bahamas.
Nice.
Easy.
They got a kid's area to play.
They got, you know, a lot of stuff.
My next thing, not that you care, but my next, not that you don't care.
But my next thing, vacation-wise, is definitely, we're going to do one more week the summer,
is definitely going to be a chilling, not exploring other countries.
Like, it could be in another country, but it's going to be sitting somewhere.
Okay.
Like I can't.
Yo,
I've done three trucks.
I've done three.
I've talked to your wife about it?
No,
that, no, she's on board.
Yeah, no, we do.
Yo, we've done three.
Maya's just turned 17 months.
And in that lifetime,
she's done three trips to Europe.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
In which she is out and about and in the streets.
Like, we could do a sit down by the pool situation.
Yeah, my vacate,
it's not a vacation unless I'm sitting.
Because otherwise it's a trip,
but it's not a vacation.
Yeah, vacation is I'm going to sit.
Are you?
And you're going to go play.
And you're not going to talk to me.
And now Issa's old enough to where she can go play with her sister.
And Salasi's doing good in the pool with the float.
So Issa, take your sister, go get in the pool.
And y'all can float and you can feel comfortable with it.
You don't feel like you need to observe it every second.
No.
And also to the way, we go to the same place every year, by the way.
And we've been doing it for, I think, six or seven years.
We go with a bunch of other families.
So there's other kids that we've watched grow up.
There's like a water slide.
There's a little water park for kids.
It sounds nice.
Cute.
That sounds really nice.
How about it, guys?
Yeah, because exploring the world is great.
And like we literally, like, you'll hear more tomorrow on Family Friday.
You know, Maya definitely, just like I saw with Kenza, those trips change a kid.
Yeah, they come back like, she just became more interested and talkative and all the things.
But yeah, no, a good sit down is nice.
Because before you know it, you blink, the summer's gone.
It's fall.
We're out in these streets.
More, more, more, more, more, more.
you gotta slow down.
That is.
ELR, man.
We love y'all, man.
EL Army, thanks for all to love.
Shout to Pure Powers who came through this week with amazing stuff.
And the EL Army bombarded the Pure Powers Instagram.
Did they?
Really bullied, really bullied them into a 20% of this.
Really?
Good.
They were happy about it.
I mean, they were fine.
But the EL Army was like, oh, say less.
No, we're on this.
I now, I haven't tasted the moss.
Seamoss yet.
The seamoss yet.
It's in the fridge, though.
It's in the fridge.
I got it in the fridge that day.
Good.
Is that okay?
I think you're good.
All right.
I got it in the fridge that day,
but I haven't, like, hooked up a smoothie yet.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You could also, you could also just spoonful it.
Boom, done.
Also, man, my neck this week has just been bad.
You probably need a massage.
No, you know what?
I went and got a massage.
Hit the button.
Really?
So, congratulations.
You plagued yourself.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
You want them to go get needles.
I know what you want to do.
Have you done needles?
It doesn't hurt.
It doesn't hurt.
I got a good guy.
You've done acupuncture.
I think I did it, Joe's.
I think once I did acupuncture, Joe's.
You would know if you got action puncture.
They put a bunch of needles in you, bro.
It doesn't hurt.
No.
But you still get needle.
I love it.
But I'm just saying.
Do you find that it's helpful?
Yes, it's very helpful.
Bro, I couldn't move my shoulder.
I was like, I couldn't believe it.
I was like, you fixed me.
It's gone.
No, for real right away?
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, for real.
Remember when I slipped on black ice, I messed up my knee, two sessions got me back.
So I'm a believer.
So I thought, I had thought it was from sleeping on my side, which is probably stupid because I've been sleeping on my side.
Why in one moment is my back now?
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Is it your back or is it your shoulder or is it your neck?
It's below.
Okay, right here.
So it's your shoulder blade.
It's like between the shoulder blade and the head, kind of.
Have you been lifting?
Yes.
There you go. That's why.
Yeah.
But the acupuncture will help with the soreness.
But it will, but you need a massage.
But, oh, so I went to the massage.
How do I say, how do I say in a politically correct way, the places that I get massages?
Oh, no.
Well, can you say the Asian spot?
Is that okay?
I mean, there's a lot of them.
So, yeah.
But like, it has a certain, if you know, if you know, you know kind of thing if you're in New York City.
Yeah.
It's one of those places.
go to one of those places.
Because we have one that we like,
where like we like to go just get a foot massage.
And it's totally great for a foot massage.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Love them.
Get the pedicure, get the foot massage.
Leg massage.
It's chill.
And honestly, even a full body can be good.
Yeah.
However, Linda, who my wife has enjoyed before but has told me Linda can go kind of hard.
I tried to communicate with Linda.
Too much.
Too much.
This was the other night before I went to the Knicks party.
This is at night.
I went about it.
I said,
my neck, this area is what I need.
She was like, okay, okay.
She went too hard.
Now I feel, in addition to whatever else I was dealing with,
I now have like a soreness.
You know what I mean?
There's a sore on top.
I'm like, ow, like I really did something.
So I don't think the massage helped.
Maybe acupuncture is the way to go.
Well, also, who gave you the massage
and were they really focused on the area
or were they just giving you a massage?
And also, I don't know, like,
some of these people are great
who give them a massage.
at places like this are they medically trained that's why I don't know
giving you the massage I don't but that's why but there's also like that's why
sometimes physical therapy if you go to a physical therapy place and you give
them your your if you have medical and they pay like 20 bucks you go in there's
you're like hey I've been lifting here's what's going on they're going to be like all right
grab this ball twist your arm do this thing and this and you're good or I should
hit up our guy Joe trainer well yeah you all I was gonna bring that up that you
literally have a friend that has a whole place that has a
acupuncture and they have massage trainer they have literally everything there they can you
could do the cupping which works too god i hate what in w w w u.s sometimes when people show up after
doing like aggressive and they have all the pepperoni like too many nuts it kind of grosses me out a
little bit no too much that just happened the other day when i was walking through the house and chas was
like what's on your bed you did cup it was cup it was like oh you didn't tell me it's no it's
repulsive because it's just like it's repulsive but you guys don't like spores and
And little dots.
No, I don't.
And the cupping looks close.
And jazz is the same way as y'all with that.
It's, it's not it.
Well, this episode was about to be over, and now it's not.
All right, we got to go.
We got to get to the parade.
We are the New York Knicks.
We are the New York Knicks.
No, the Wii thing is starting to bother me, though.
I'm not really.
Because you're going to go Wii until the next NBA season starts.
You know I'm a Celtics fan.
And then when they're playing good,
and it's like the Celtics and the Knicks.
You're going to have to pick aside, bro.
No, no, I already...
It's going to be nasty on this show.
No, I'm not doing it.
I'm not a Knicks fan, but I got love for the Knicks.
That's where I'm living.
That's how it is.
You can like it or not like it.
I got love for the Knicks.
I love that my wife loves the Knicks.
My baby's all brunsoned out.
I'm there, but I'm not going to try to claim you.
I don't want it.
It's cool.
I still love my Celtics.
I hope they don't trade Jalen Brown.
I don't want Yonis.
I want Jalen Brown.
But let him celebrate.
But I'm just trying to have fun with the people.
Who you said to you?
I'm trying to be positive P.
Yo, this is that whole going easy on Rosenberg thing I've been telling you about.
No.
It's the same guy.
He's running the same script that I've been running for years about the Nix.
Y'all, I'm a fan to the greatest.
It's my local team, my daughter.
Oh, yeah, fraud.
This is whole, he's wearing, I've never even gone this far.
Bro's wearing a T-shirt.
I'm celebrating.
I've never even wore Nick's color.
Yo, check out the bootleg.
No, that's how much, you're the biggest fraud.
You're the biggest fraud.
That's my friend, Jalen Brunson.
You're a friend.
Okay, now you're a prod.
No, me, Skylar and Jalen.
We were kicking it, bro.
It's my God.
Just don't call it a podcast.
