This sounds like it's going to be a, lot of fun. I like it. Yeah. We'll cover all that and more in the rundown. Now, Jasmine, this is doing shows and podcasting sort of thing. How often do you get a chance to do the sort of thing? You know, I was co-hosting with Angela Yee for way up for like a year or two. So I'm pretty used to to that sort of thing. But in the last?

Probably like once a month. Okay. Yeah, once a month, yeah. You're really good. Well, thank you, Ebro. Which is why we invited you back. I appreciate that. You're great. Yes, you have great energy. Thank you. Now, down in D.C. where you live, what's the atmosphere with the Trump administration? You as a D.C. resident. What does it feel like as a D.C. resident? Well, you know, I feel like I am in my own little world. And everyone that I am around has my same perspective. We don't like him. We don't care for him. It's always a nuisance. But, you know, this is a, D.C. is a political city. So we're used to, you know, protest. We're used to, like, we're usually used to, like, enjoying who we have an office or not being that big of the issue.

But we're all just kind of complaining about it. But we're just accustomed to it because that's how D. DC is. And so what does it feel like for, because I know there's a lot of people in D.C. who either work in a government position. Yeah. What is the truth around these stories of the amount of people who have lost jobs in the D.C. area? Like, do you know people who have like their career was working for the federal government and? I noticed that more so last year, not as much this year. But those are, that's not really, I don't have friends that really work on the hill or that's not my circle. Not that I'm above it or below it, but it's just not, that's not my realm. You know what I mean?

Yeah. And is it, is it, I was told, and I don't know this to be true, that people who lived in D.C., you know, might occasionally go check a museum, might occasionally. For sure. Has that energy changed? Well, the energy has changed because they're like little tweaks that they're making inside the museums that sometimes we notice and sometimes we don't notice.

So, you know, they have a big African-American museum. Yeah. And they're making little tweaks in there, removing things. And it is noticeable, but you have to be a D.C. or like be in D.C. to know, like, oh, what the F is going on? That's right. You know, so they do do things on the low. And yeah, it's obvious.

But then I guess our hope is that once he's out, then, you know, those things will come back. But it was kind of out of control. You guys have a better perspective, too. Like you said, you're accustomed to individuals being in there that maybe everybody don't like. So you kind of wait it out. And you don't have a choice. I mean, and it's just, we're just, we're just so accustomed to it.

You know, it's kind of like, here it is. We'll go. You know what I mean? That's right. Now, your mayor. is a Democratic socialist. Yes. Oh, man.

I'm like, you know, I always kind of like whoever's in office the mayor. They're always pretty manageable. Right. I mean, it's not like New York's mayor. I like y'all mayor here. No, well, his social media is popular. Yeah, I like that.

And I was going to say, I don't know if your mayor's social media is all the way off the chain yet, but you know what I mean? No, she's not there yet. Got it. Give her some time, but I don't think it's going to be like, I mean, I like, yeah, I don't, I think she'll be fine. Okay.

She'll be fine. I do think it's in, important though for every mayor every politician to pay attention though because I think through our mayor social media you see the transparency and you see the work that's getting done yes so I think that that's how most of us consume information now so I think it's super important like take notes everybody because I think that's how you should be handling that's the way to do it yeah but I guess maybe his his strategy is more towards like the younger people or like not a younger maybe like 50 and below maybe because I don't know so they're in in in New York and I

You know, New York is a very media heavy town. Uh-huh, uh-huh. Um, and we've had experiences with a number of mayors since Bloomberg. Right. Us as a show, like relationships, good and bad. Okay. Um, if you don't do your own narrative shaping, Mm-hmm.

The elites in this town, big real estate, you know, Wall Street. Yeah. Um, New York Post, which is pretty conservative. I noticed, yeah. And loud. They'll create a narrative. against you. Right.

And so some of I believe what Mom Dani's doing and doing successfully has to do with him being able to bully them more than they can bully him. Okay. And so while yes, to your point, the transparency and all that is effective, they can't shape a narrative on him. Right. Because he is so active on socials and creating his own story and even reaching out to communities and media outlets and doing his own, you know what I mean?

Like, he's superacked. Do you think that was, obviously, the last mayor had a few issues, but do you think that was a flaw from the last issue in terms of, like, social media and not shaping his own narrative? Well, he was just corrupt, so I don't even know. He shaped his own. Listen, there was times he was on a microphone saying bananas looking nuts. No, he used to say so.

We would see him out. I'd be like, oh, my God. Yeah, he tried to shape his narrative at the hookah spot. Yeah, he was out. I'm saying. He was out playing dominoes in the back of the, you know what I'm saying? That was the narrative he was trying to shake. You see him chest naked the other day?

I saw him. Holding the cucumber. Uh-huh. I know that's right. You got to. Had them girls out. Had his top off. I know that's right.

Yeah, you're all. He had them chitties out. Yeah. Nah, it's crazy. Yeah, now, listen, speaking of Mom Dani, you look, we get accused of glazing Mom Donnie up here, which is fine. We glade. Listen, judge us by the people we glaze.

I don't know if you're familiar, Jasmine, up here, if you drive into the city or drive down below 96th Street, you got to pay. That fee, and we've been covering this for years, that fee is directly tied to improvements in the subway. So they're collecting this

money, that money's supposed to go directly, like 75% of the money's supposed to go directly into subway improvements. Okay. Um, I'm Donnie put this up yesterday. Clip 23 Rassan. Next up, a new Chamber Street subway station. And congestion pricing is paying for it. Chamber Street Station is over a hundred years old.

This restoration will rebuild crumbling stairwells and broken doors. Finxes to the ceiling and to the underlying issues that cause regular leaks. And it will restore the ceramic. tiles and marble bases that make this station so unique. It's time for an upgrade. And that was it. And so you literally yesterday morning on this show, we were sitting here with Rob Markman and we said that, you know, they were talking about what was a thermal cooling thing you

were reporting on yesterday at the subway train station? And we weren't sure if they were using congestion pricing dollars for that. And we set up here, hey, listen, we need more reports on actually what the, Conjured. Literally yesterday you posted it. It's kind of crazy. I caught the train today. You did? How was your experience?

It was cool. It's fine. I mean, it's a little, uh, can I just say sidebar? Earlier this summer, I saw someone smoking crack broad daylight on the train. I mean, like, just, just, FYI. That's light work. I haven't seen somebody smoke crack in a long time. No, no, crack heads are still out here.

I know, but I don't see them during the day. Like on the stairs on the train. Sorry, that off topic, but I just, it just reminded of that. No, no. I thought you was going to say you saw somebody pull their pants down and take a dutu-a on the train. No, no. Don't, don't, don't, let's lack of a way.

What does he do wrong? What is he getting wrong? That's what we're trying to find out. I don't have anything he does. He's got it. Come on now. I'm sure he's got some things, but we don't know them yet. Okay.

And but we. Like we say, we say, like, listen, when people accuse of glazing is because we are thankful for the things that he's attacking. Yeah, attacking the potholes, the slum. Lord's like I am grateful he's coming up to those predatory dentists that are abusing you know an elderly community specifically black community that's horrific we finally see people someone that's for the people yes but to me I was like I'm sure we're not fans of anybody okay like everybody is out for you know like I want to see if he's doing something wrong I'm okay criticizing yeah I'm not

I'm not a loyalist to anybody and I think that's important to know and you don't think as soon As soon as he's doing something wrong, you don't think the right is going to tear his ass up. Absolutely. You don't think the post is waiting like this to find something out. So you're not glazers. No, I mean, I'm whatever they, whatever they're saying. I'm fine. I'm just happy with the work.

I'm comfortable with whatever the internet is saying. Okay. The, I think what I keep saying is it's early. Right? Like that's the real. Can the momentum keep going and continue for four years? Right. And will he be reelected?

Or will there be a scandal or will there be some sort of thing that he, you know, made a misstep on that they'll use to make people not trust him anymore. Yeah, yeah, that's tough. It's got a long road. Right. But for I think everyday people, these little things, train stations, potholes. That's a big thing. There was another thing. There was another thing.

I just saw a CNN report. I don't know if we got that clip in, but there was a CNN just did a whole report on people posting things on social media. and the next day or a few days later, he's responding directly to these people, you know, pointing out this pothole, pointing out, you know, this, you know, Johnny Pump is leaking or whatever. You know what I'm saying?

Like all of these sort of things. I can appreciate that for sure, right? So for an everyday person, that's like really affecting my life, right? Yeah. I think the larger things, I know he has a lawsuit pending right now because he wanted to tax people who have second homes here in the city over $5 million.

They call it a Pierre de Terre tax. Called a rich people taxed. Anyway, a judge in Staten Island, which is notoriously conservative, said it, you know, basically is blocking it saying it's not on the homeowners to prove that this is their second residence. Okay. Zoron's, Zoron and his, you know, administration is basically saying it is. Okay. You know what I'm saying? if you can't prove that this is your primary residence,

we're going to tax you on anything that's, you know what I mean, over $5 million. Yeah. That's being held up in court. We're supposed to see, like, next week, if he's actually going to be able to tax these people for their second home.

I believe it's $5 million. Yeah. That was the number, right? Yeah. You got a Trump tweet from it too as well. Oh, Trump spoke on it. Let's see what he got. There we go.

The NYC paired of tax is cost in New York City and a state of fortune in that the money eventually very compared to taxes pay, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So, of course, yeah, anybody reading all that. Tens of thousands of people who are fleeing the city, never to return. He's so dramatic. He's so dramatic. But also, it's just a lot.

Or queen. This doesn't work in America and must be stopped. So we know Trump is into giving rich people tax breaks. And he's a New Yorker. And he's a New Yorker and he doesn't want to have to pay it. Yes. Right? Because I'm sure he's got a place in his building with his name on it or a few of them.

Absolutely. And his daughter and his son-in-law and his family members, et cetera, et cetera, et et cetera. So, and he's just not into taxing, rich, whereas Mom Dani is running on this. This is something that the Democratic Socialists all over the country are basically like, hey, we got to be able to pay for these things. And we want to pay for these improvements. We want to pay for health care.

We want to pay for a lot of things. And to do so, right? We're going to have to tax people. who are wealthy. So, yeah, no, you're going to get a lot of glazing here on the ELR show for Mom Donnie. Right? No, that's right. You're into it.

And the fact that it's like it's your second home. Yeah. And over $5 million. Yeah. Like, come on. That says a lot. Right? Is anybody paying attention to these Patriot games?

Yo, bro, I didn't even know this was going on until you sent it. No, I have no idea. But Rassan, do you have the video I sent explaining the Patriot games? Because this blew my mind. I didn't even know this was happening. And I didn't know it was. focused on it young. You're okay?

Eight finalists are set to compete in front of President Trump for the finals of the inaugural Patriots game. So one female, one male athlete from each state has been going head to head, really, in a series of competitions, all in celebration of America's 250th birthday. So games include everything from track and field to football, basketball, dodgeball, even tugging.

So the athletes are between Tuggeball and Tug of War. Bringing together 120 young athletes right here in Northeast Ohio. So aside from bragging rights, there's plenty on the line. We're talking about a quarter of a million dollars in college scholarship money split between the winners. So a male and female 125k apiece. Now, they're doing this dirty with the music. So now, this is a...

So weird. He could be doing shit. No, they, well, no, I'm gonna tell you exactly what this is. Okay. This is exactly one of his buddies got a bunch of money, our tax dollars, millions of dollars, to put together something like this, and then they're going to give a couple of hundred grand to some kids.

Because why is it taking place in Northeast Ohio? Who's in Northeast Ohio? And what's the point of this? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, if you really think about this, this is another one of those scams where one of his boys just like with the reflecting pool and many other things where one of his buddies

or somebody who contributed to his thing, because this allegedly cost millions of dollars to put together. That's crazy. Now, once again, a layman is going to look at this and be like, yeah, but two kids walked away $125,000 each that they could use for college or whatever.

So it's tough to go, bad idea. Right. But when you look at it and when you really delve into it, you can see that this is a scam. You got kids doing push-ups and hopscotch or whatever they was doing, leapfrog and tug-of-war.

And it's called the Patriot game. Stop it. Calling it the Patriot game is wild. crazy. Well, there was also, speaking of CNN, there was a whole CNN report that was there covering it because I think now it's down to eight finalists. They paid one of the people that designed the sets for American Ninja Warrior to do some of the other things that are a little bit more elaborate. I think as you get beyond the hopscotch and tug of war, it gets a little bit more elaborate. Right. But they were comparing it to the Hunger Games because a lot of people were like, yeah, it's Patriot games, but it's like each state puts forth.

they call them two in the Hunger Games. What did they call them? Tributes. Yeah, yeah. Remember they put forth two tributes, a guy and a girl. How does you remember that? Because my daughter, they'd be watching that at the crib. That and what goes around at the house, the Hunger Games, and what was the one with the vampires?

With the, uh, back in the day. I don't know. Not true blood. No, no, no, no. The teenage joint. Oh, man. Buffy? Oh, no, I know what you're talking about.

What's one? It was white girl. Well, they're all white. And the vampire and the little girl fall in love. With a guy, she wasn't one. And he was a werewolf. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was that called?

So I just, it'll be like a Friday and I'm just sitting there watching the family do family stuff. Just like, wow, we did something, y'all. We got a nice little family. Yeah, I know that's right.

You know what I enjoy that. Yeah. So, yeah, I'd be watching. I mean, sometimes I watch Pepper Pig with my, with Salasi and like have discussions with her about what's happening. Because I think sometimes parents don't actually engage with your kids in their space. Okay. Right? Like I watch parents sometimes try to like divert kids into things that the parent wants to do

versus like getting on the level with your kid and being like, yo, what does that mean? Yeah. And what is that? And is that funny? Do you like, you know, and actually like what happened right there and actually getting them to articulate what the shows about because they're into it? But anyway, sidebar, that's why I know.

Why, bro? Why? Maybe he was, that's rage bait. No, it's rage bait. I'm telling y'all right now. I think, no, I think, it's Algo hustling, bro. I think he really believes that. think he really feels that there are listen you he is not alone there are a lot of people that

feel that way I can I just say this about the comparison go ahead go ahead he's way too grown for that they're the people who feel that are younger they're younger and they just didn't how to and that's clean I'm completely fine with Chris Brown being but by the way like it's just not on what are we comparing it to like in what way what are we saying because Chris Brown could do backflips what are we saying is that is that the What metric? And the reason I say that, though, is he can do everything that Michael Jackson can do, the moves and all that stuff, but he does it on a different level. Like, he has the acro, he can flip, he can fly in the air, he does the crump, he does the hip-hop, he does it, he, I don't know about the fight, he does the contemporary. Like, he breaks every dance style into his movements, and to me, better than Michael Jackson. A lot of people use the dance, the dancing part as the reason for them to choose, you know, Chris over Michael. Yeah.

I mean. I'm just, I'm gonna go back to what I said originally. Rage bait. Stop it, Envy. You stop it right now. You knew that was gonna get the Algo going. I respect the hustle.

Ebro, do you feel that way? And Lord, do you feel that way when people are comparing LeBron to Jordan? Because I feel like it's a similar sort of. I think, well, listen, as a,

I'll call myself a casual basketball fan, even though I watch, I used to watch a lot of basketball. But currently I'm casual. But I'll give you this. They are two different. types of athletes. Okay. Right. Versus what Envy's trying to parallel, which is these Mike and Chris, maybe body type and

skill set are similar. Okay. LeBron is much bigger than Mike. Yes. But people compare all the time. Well, they compare their greatness, but not their style of play. Okay. Right. So, and, and just even in the greatness, there are people who just are like, Mike, every championship he went to, he won. Right. versus LeBron. But LeBron has the scoring and the assists and these other more well-rounded, I guess, stats. So it depends on what you're going for.

And then obviously off the court, people are like LeBron is just a better human being. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So that's, but when we're talking specifically about the sport of basketball, right? Um, I think they're very two, they're two different players.

Right. Mike and Chris Brown, if you're just talking about performance, On stage, I don't think Chris Brown has reached the level of electrification that Mike had reached. Okay. Right? When you're talking about like thriller and like those worldwide stadium tours where people were just falling out. He was the biggest.

Mike was the biggest star for sure. So probably the big guest. That's not the biggest. It's the biggest. Yeah. Right. But that's not taking anything away from Chris Brown when I say that. At all.

Right. And that's why I say, I think it's rage bait. It's getting the Algo going and I appreciate it. But you got Lauren up there and bless her heart looking at Envy like, yo, you're the OG, so I trust your opinion. Envy, come on, man. But she's thinking possibly that Envy has went to a Michael Jackson concert. So she's like you've been around, so you've seen more people perform.

So maybe there's some merit. That's what I'm going to. Right. And I think there's also like, I think there's also, you know, you get, once again, you get a Chris Brown because Mike pushed the performance. so far. Yeah. Right.

Like we get this Usher Chris Brown tour, which I went the other night. How was it? It was phenomenal. Yeah. And I'll say it again. I loved it because you can clearly see how Usher and Chris are very different in the same genre. Yes.

And even the way they approach a show, very different, but equally phenomenal, right? And from two different eras and different artists. Like, I love seeing that contrast. Yeah. But I do believe that Chris still has that classic. album to deliver. Chris be putting out a lot of music. He puts out a lot of music.

I think it's too much. We agree. And we love it. Nobody asks me, but I think it's just too much. But I'm just saying if Chris Brown can add a thriller to his catalog, a confessions to his catalog, one of these seminal albums. Yeah. Chris has tons of hits.

He's a songwriter. He's for now. I don't want to sound like I'm taking anything away from Chris's talent. It's not what I'm doing. I'm just, which is why I don't like these conversations. Yes. Like why are we doing this? Oh, because it's a good, it's good engagement.

And because of that, her teeth are all messed up. So she's saying basically, like, my teeth are rotting out of my mouth. And she started a go fund me to help her, you know, get these teeth together.

And so when I was looking at the comments, it was like, people were, like, dragging her. And more so, like, get a job. You should be able to afford this. blah blah blah and and my thing is like with the whole first of all if you don't want to contribute to the go fund me just don't fucking do excuse me just don't do it you know what I mean like just you can you can just not do it and also like I'm not I am not there's a whole thing about people doing go funds me go fund me's and like do we need to do a go fund me for everything no we don't but whatever but if you don't if that's you don't want to give to it cool also what kind of

money sorry what kind of money she was I think she was 20 grand 10 grand I don't know 45 grand Mendez said. Yeah. Hi girl. But I just, my thing is like, you don't have to contribute to it. But also, like, you know, dental care is expensive. Very expensive. It's like, even if you have a nine to five, you know, dental is expensive.

And she was very transparent about it. Yeah. Okay. And there's the idea that when you are a social media star that you have money, and that is not accurate at all. But go ahead. Were you about to say? Well, no, I was just going to ask because I think what you're saying is the humanity in us, right,

should actually look at the individual and say, yeah, we all had a great time with the cutesy, demure, whatever. If you don't want to contribute to the go fund me, don't. Don't get involved. Right. But also, I think you can't just like the addict thing. A lot of people deal with addiction. And if that, if this person who you guys all enjoyed and everybody had fun with

is saying, hey, y'all, I need a little bit of help. If you can, you can, if you can't, you can. It's pretty simple. But you don't have to drag them for their, you know, who they are or how they represent themselves as society, et cetera, et cetera. I agree with you 100%. Yeah, it was just kind of, I don't know for some reason. It kind of just irritated more.

I'm like, yo, like, well, it's layered. I feel like people feel they're up. They get upset. And I agree with you, by the way. Why are you asking for bunny? Yeah. They feel like, and also, where are your millions that you made from going viral? Yes.

And then she also had a case because somebody went quickly acted and trademarked the whole phrase, I believe. So she was able to capitalize off of it. So that was a big story. See, that's what y'all need to be coming for. And then, so now that she's in this position, she's being vulnerable and being like, yo, I struggled with addiction. I need help fixing these teeth. You guys, if you ever, if you.

So expensive. If you ever, what's the expression, cutesy, demure? Very cutesy, very demure. If you ever use that, you owe her $5. For sure. You could give her $5. Or just leave her alone. And also, if she's getting dragged on social media,

this ain't helping her mental health at all. So her doing that was a bad idea. And also I'll say, when we ran the story, a bunch of Dennis DM just like, can you contact with it? We communicate great, but we're having a bit of an issue. He has an 11-year-old daughter that acts up. She is a wonderful young lady, but she has temper tantrums, and she talks to me really crazy. I've spoken to him. about it, but I do not understand how he could deal with the disrespect. Sometimes I feel like she has a behavioral issue, but I stay away from talking to him about her altogether. It is now affecting our relationship.

What do you think I should do? How should I handle it? Because A, I'm not her mother. B, I truly love the relationship that we have. And outside of the temper tantrum, she's a wonderful. young lady. How should I handle this? Where's her mom? Yeah, so I was wondering. And then she's staying with the dad full time? Like, where is the, yeah. We don't know. Yeah. We don't know. Yeah. We want more details. Yeah.

11 years old. I'm assuming, I'm not there yet. You're there. But East is a little different. Well, yeah, we're not, we're not doing temper tantrums. But also, I think these don't start at 11. This behavior didn't just start. So this is uncorrected behavior that likely, now is exacerbated. Once again, we don't know about the mom of this girl, might be exacerbated by your presence. Y'all have been together for two years.

How long ago did the mom and your man break up? Because if there was like no gap in between where you know, dad was kind of, you know, solo. Yeah. And she understood

that the mom and dad relationship was done. Yeah. And, and and was able to make this transition to meeting a new person, that might be some of it. It could be a behavior, like some sort of behavioral thing that needs some more professional help. Yeah. But it could also be a phase.

It could be, yeah. You know what I mean? There's so many layers. But I think the email is doing the right thing by staying out of it. You're new. She's trying to mind her business. It sounds like. But that's the right play.

Yeah, I think so too. Yeah. But, okay, so I'm assuming she wrote to us that she needs a little bit of help because it's affecting their relationship. Yeah, or it's affecting her. Yes. Yeah. Yes.

Her relationship. Yeah. You know what I mean? I guess the only thing you can do is I guess you can talk to him and just explain how it makes you feel and maybe say, what can I do? Or should I just continue to stay, you know, hands off? Yeah. Because it is a tough one. Well, but if it's making her feel like you don't want to be in the relationship with him, then you need to do what's best for you.

Because he's got to do what's best for his 11-year-old. Yes. Yeah. And that's a priority over y'all, and I hate to be demeaning, but it's little. It's two years. It's little. Relative to an 11-year-old child. Yeah.

You're not, that relationship. I mean, if he's being a great dad, that's not the priority. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I'm assuming she wants to stay with him. It sounds like she does. Yeah.

So I thought the only, the only thing I see here is like she could only talk to him because I think she's doing the right thing by leaving her alone. Well, and he's got a, he as the dad has to manage. this. Yeah, because you don't want your child being disrespectful to adults unwarranted. You don't want that. And you also don't want your child thinking their behavior can dictate schedules and what you're going to do with your own as a parent, your own personal time. Like, that's something you have to develop with your kids where they just can't throw tantrums and completely change people's schedules, what people want to do with their own personal time. Like, you can't

allow a child to take control of the house like that. So it is something that dad has to step in, manage, you know, assuming the mom is of the daughter is around. Yeah. That's something that him and the mom got to work together. And once again, we don't know what the relationship between him and the mom is. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes I've heard that, you know, the mom isn't over him.

Right. That could be issue. And so some of this behavior of the daughter is a reflection of what the mom is saying about this relationship behind closed doors. Yeah, because she also could be blaming her for their split. That's right. And you don't know what I mean? You don't know what that?

If the mom, not blaming the mom, but maybe the mom is saying something, we don't know. That's why I'm kind of advocate for as long as you can keep your child away from your relationship. Yeah, as long as you can. That's what I'm a big advocate for that. I do feel like this is new. Like if they've been together two years, when did you meet the little girl? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I wish we could have gotten more information. Because two years is new, guys. Yeah. It's very new. I agree. Especially when there's a child involved. I've never let another man meet my daughter. I mean, she's only four, but I don't do the.

Mm-mm. Yeah. No, I get it. I totally understand that. But I understand that's not everyone. Everyone doesn't have a situation where they can have other people take care of their children or, you know, so where they have to kind of, if they're going to date sometimes, introduce the other person. So I guess the only thing that we can tell you is continue communicating with your partner and you're going to have to be patient because she's a child.

But you're doing the right thing, minding your business, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So just communicate with him and hopefully, you know, understand where. You know, the child is coming from. Yeah. You know, she's 11. That's super young. And hopefully, you know, things will get better.

I think what you're seeing in this situation, in other situations, whether you're talking about Taylor Foods or whether you want to even talk about the reflecting pool, is that when we see an error happening in this administration, that there's self-dealing going on, right? And so I think when you look, when you follow any trail of money within this administration, who gets to fix it, who gets the comment on it, you see experts leaving and you see the circle, a personal circle of Trump coming into the situation, right? That's right. Whether you're talking about food or whether you're talking about, I was talking about, I was,

saying the reflecting pool, having his pool person come in and fix it, it's a pattern. And what happens is this becomes harm, right, to everyday Americans, especially now we're talking about in our food system, right? And so it is just a pattern of what happens if you bring money to the table. It is self-dealing over and over again. And you would not, and so we've also seen that the president has gotten rid of many checks and balances in, in a lot of lot of his administration and a lot of these departments, watchdog, whistleblower groups, watchdog groups that would be coming back and checking for these things or counsel and advisory. He is not surrounded himself by wise counsel.

And at the end of the day, Americans keep paying the costs for this. Now, I haven't had that letters. Have you? Have you all had a salary? No, thank you. No. I've been very careful, Ebony. No, listen, my daughter is at an age where it's like she's a inhales, berries weekly.

And now it's like I have to do an extra work and I've even paid like double or triple for just berries that. And my fingers are crossed and they do all the things won't make her sick. It's disgusting the space that we're in right now. It is. Whether it's the FDA, whether it's HHS, it doesn't matter. The norms that we would normally experience and think that we could be able to rely on, people are scared. They're hesitant.

Even when it's organic or this or that. It is the sad truth that we are in. But follow the money trail and all of it. Well, I think we should all remember that, you know, there was, over the last 10 years, the election of Trump twice and even the election of Biden, we have all had a serious distrust in our government's ability to do things. This is normal in America. And I think there are individuals who thought that,

and they were marketed it, right? Like, we know that to be the case. is such that we don't know or we are stupid enough to believe that things can't get worse. And I think that's, and I don't want us to forget that as, listen, I ain't going to be here forever. Whoever you're listening to or getting content from, you have to remember that things can and will get worse. And sometimes the options in front of you, uh, unfortunately are like hold the line status quo options and sometimes that is the best option is to punt right and plan for something better but not take a risk and take on something worse that'll take you a generation to recover from because that's what we're confronted

with today yeah yeah yeah you're confronted with the reality that in my lifetime right By the time I'm 75, 80, we will both financially, hopefully, and through policy, try to recover from the setbacks that we've gotten in the last 10 years. into it they must be that something this is right up my alley then well speaking of being scared Ebro I'm Ebony I know you saw that Trump posted on truth social a picture of him and Melania and then Abdul El Saeed and called the two different Americas yeah yeah and then used what we always see the same name, trying to use his entire name to weaponize this situation. Abdul Rahman Muhammad al-Said. And it's the same thing we saw him do with Barack Obama, Barack Hussein Obama. It's part of a, the post, like literally in 17 hours, another thing is going back and forth doing this whole spree within 17 posts.

I mean, within like two hours. But then we saw El Saeed respond on Sunday at CNN, State of the Union, on the show. And Frank did differently. Basically, yeah, two different Americas. But he flipped it, right? One where he says people in charge don't even like each other, but are united and making billions of dollars off of you. And we can go through.

I mean, I've been looking at the numbers and how much this, this Trump family has been bringing in billions of dollars. There's an estimate of about $4 billion that they have been getting away with, right? And he was saying, this is other America, me sharing my pancakes together with my wife. He didn't back down at all on this. And so, yeah, let's talk about this because I was wondering, you know, he chose that picture of him, Melania, but they're pictures of our first lady were her behind all the way out, right? That's right. So what about that picture that we're seeing? There are pictures that we've seen with he and Malani and Epstein. What about that America?

Well, you guys, but once again, yesterday on the program, Ebony, we were talking about this weekend's athletes claiming they wanted to be in the WNBA over the weekend. There was two former professional athletes claiming they wanted to be in the WNBA. You guys are now talking about this picture on social media and this whole like back and forth. The usage of, you know, Dr. Abdul Syed's full name. These are all distractions. We are 14 weeks away from the midterms where they are trying to force Dr. Syed to talk about everything else but the work he wants to get done.

so that they can make the whole news cycle about this stupid shit eating pancakes they did it to mom dummy remember they did they do the same they still do it to mom don't know about all this other shit they don't want these guys on television talking about their common sense policies because they know that's what people want so they put out in this case Donald Trump put something out or Someone else will say something crazy.

They'll keep saying crazy stuff so that when these guys go on television, they're forced and the hosts are forced to talk to them about this social media shit and not asking them about their policies. Because they know when they go on the news and Ebony, you know this. They only have a certain amount of time. So the news host is going to go to the most hot topics that they can get people interested in. If the hot topic is actually their policies, the Republicans don't want that. That's not what they want. It is so true because at the same time, we are over 160 days into this war that is having. And we talk about this and you talk about this having a direct effect on Americans, gas prices, inflation, transportation.

We're looking at still the ravaging effects of this, what was a, beautiful bill that it's an ugly bill that's having an effect on head start on daycare on everything in your life affects and so i wish i honestly wish i know it may not happen that many of our allies would keep the main thing the main thing and that is helping everyday americans because you're right if i can get you off script and have you put you in a bind and have you responding to all these viral things but what is viral is that americans are going through on a daily basis and they also know Don't forget what happened when we have legislators going to their districts and having to respond to their constituents. And then reporters then, they did do those stories on back to back, them booing them off stages, cussing them out.

How can we, how can we're not saying that as much more? Because they're not doing town halls anymore. They're not doing those town halls anymore because they don't want to sit in front of their constituents because they don't want coverage of them getting booed by the people who voted for them. Yeah. And then they use Fox News. So if I can keep you. They use Fox News and these other outlets X. Everybody's got to cover what Trump tweets and all of this stupid shit, right?

And we're not covering the fact that Netanyahu just didn't want to sign a deal to take weapons away from Hamas because he doesn't want to end the war. He doesn't want to get Hamas in check. He doesn't want to get any of that stuff in check so that we can move forward because the more they keep the violence going, which Netanyahu's always wanted to keep the violence going. want to keep violence. Violence makes money. Yeah. And it also helps them make people in the Middle East look like they're the ones starting

the problems when they're really the ones responding to problems, having to defend themselves. So they don't want to stop the problems because then Netanyahu's going to be put on trial and be in court and probably be in jail. Well, hopefully. Who's really going to jail these days? In all of this, it's the same thing. Is that me? You were talking to me?

I'm talking to him, and then I'm going to be following up on a story that NPR put out reporting that a GEO group and Core Civic, the two largest private prison companies,

pulled in a combined $1.4 billion in quarterly revenue as immigration detention is at record levels. Right. So who's make somebody is getting a whole bag off of this? No, no, it's not somebody. It's the prison industrial complex, right? Even these oil companies are getting record profits right now. Right?

And all of these people, it's cronyism. It's crony capitalism. It's all the buddies getting paid, man. And, you know, this is what people voted for when they supported Donald Trump. Right? Everybody wanted to run around and talk about his book, Art of the Deal. Well, you're watching the Art of the Deal. Him and his is getting paid.
