Just don't call in a podcast.
Be bro, Lala.
You know, thanks for locking in Friday, man.
We're here, E.L.R. Rosenberg will be back Monday.
I think thanks to Jasmine and the Jasmine Van, Rob Markman, Vic Mincer this week.
Make sure you get that new Patreon.
We'll actually be behind the paywall and probably about 20.
We like to hop on here and connect with y'all.
Remember, Ebro, Laura Rosenberg at Gmail.
Send us an email.
We want you in on the family Fridays, man.
We want you in here so we can, you know, shout you out.
We miss you.
Yeah, man.
Shout to Jay Miller.
I'm going to get into your email after we get into the to the Patreon.
Y'all lock in for that.
And you also had a lot of people praising you showed up to the Envision Fest.
We're going to read those emails.
Yes, yes, yes.
We'll come back on.
Also, Family Friday in the emails.
That all happened in about 20 minutes.
If you join us over on Patreon, we'll be there shortly after.
But I was just looking at an Instagram page of someone I know.
Okay.
And I had an idea that everybody was like, no, we can't do that on the show.
And I want y'all to decide.
The idea is, it's like, what the fuck happened to my friend?
Where you have friends, people in your life, family too.
What's the fuck, it's Family Friday.
What the fuck happened to my family?
And these are people you still care about today.
But they're doing some weird old shit, bro.
I don't know if I like this.
Because you still care about them.
We still love them, but I know they're doing some weird ish out there,
but are you going to just put them on blast?
No, no.
I mean, maybe they will.
I'm not going to put this person on blast.
Okay.
So we're not going to do anything.
No, no, no, but the person was talking about how.
And by the way, I think there's some validity to this.
I, me personally, right?
I think there is validity to energy, energy transfer.
You seeing things in the world like, yo, I saw this thing.
Or like people in my life that, you know, they'll see the clock.
will turn a different number, right?
Like different numbers represent things to them.
Yes.
Right?
1111 or, you know, dates where loved ones may be like you lost a loved one and you see
the number on the clock and people are like, yo, I feel like that person is speaking to me.
Right.
If that's what you believe, like I'm for that, right?
Because truth be told, whether you believe it's that person, that energy is speaking to you
or that number just made you think of that person.
Sure.
However you want to term it is completely, is completely cool.
Yeah.
And I think completely normal.
Yeah.
And I think we all have stories like that.
I have one.
Would you guys like me to share it?
I'm scared, but okay.
All right.
So.
Okay.
My cousin Nooney, I think, went to jail and rest in peace to my cousin Noonie.
All right.
He went to jail, I believe, when I was like six years old.
Okay.
Right.
He just got out.
He might have got out when I was 40, bro.
So, like, I'm 51, so he might have been home for, like, the last 10 years.
And he just passed away this week.
He had a cardiac situation.
He just, and I just got word that he passed away.
I'm sorry.
So rest and peace to Cousin Noonie.
And shout to my family.
And everybody affected by it.
I hadn't really kept close with Cousin Noonie, right?
Remember, I was five years old last time I saw him.
I moved away.
Boom, Bob.
Bing. He had my number. He texted me the other week about a passing of his,
another one of my cousins, but he had texts me and, you know, whatever.
So rest of a piece of Cousin,
Cousin Noone. Cousin No. Was the person who taught me how to wipe my ass good.
Okay.
T. Am I? Random fact. Very important. Very important. But when you're a kid
and you're not wiping your ass good, you would hope that you have a family member that's like,
yo, bro, you're not wiping your ass good.
Let me show you how it's done.
Yes.
That was Cousin Noone.
Okay.
Fine.
I found out that Cousin Nooney passed this week via text when I was sitting on the shitter.
Oh, God, Ebro.
The universe was aligned, guys.
That's all I'm saying.
Why are you so stupid?
No.
No, that's not synchronicity.
See, that's not a synchronous.
No.
Lou, that's not synchronicity.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Yes, it was a coincidence.
Every day.
Don't always get a text about the cousin who taught me how to wipe my ass while I'm sitting on the shitter though.
No.
It meant a lot.
It was cousin Noonie reaching out from the beyond.
Fuck through shit
From the beyond
Parallel universe shit
You know what I'm saying
Yo, that's the multiverse of shitting
All right
No, nobody likes the story
I mean, listen I understand
Where you were trying to go
I get it
I get it
So no I shared this weird story
With my wife the other night
I was like yo babe TMI
I got a story to tell
What is she saying?
Because she's definitely into like
Yo the number on the clock
Make a wish
Da-da-da-da- Right
She was like, oh my God, that's so special.
That's because she's really nice.
No, no, she was touched by the story.
Yo, y'all are some pieces of shit.
See, I'm sharing my innermost universal synchronicities with y'all.
And you ain't fucking with my story.
I don't like it.
Wait, so every time you think of Cousin No, no, no.
It's more important.
Cleaning your ass and wiping your ass good.
It's way more important than taking the shit.
Cleanliness.
Cleanliness.
Hygiene.
Hygiene.
Okay.
All right.
I mean,
rest in peace,
Cousin Noone.
That's right.
Something very valuable.
That's right.
What a tribute.
And to all the people out there who,
you know,
symbols and alignments mean something to them.
I mean,
you're in that zone.
You got the,
you sleep under the nets and all of this with the,
okay,
too,
feathers attached to the wall.
The nets?
It's a dream catcher.
No.
Yo.
Laura got like.
Like 20 nets.
Do not.
Catching spirits with feathers and bells.
I do not.
And chicken feet.
I do not.
How did we get here?
And you got the stones on the thing.
I do have the stones.
So listen, y'all could get up here and make fun of people because they're on the gram doing a spiritual stone, stonal quasar, lasers.
But everybody, yo, my mom used to have the stones.
Yes.
My mom had to come home.
My mom would come in the house and give you some sort of ruby quartz.
Something.
A rose court.
Yeah, there you go.
And be like, put it in your pocket for good vibes.
Yeah.
The ancestors, bad.
I'm with that.
It's just like some people just take it to another level where I'm like, all right.
But there's levels.
And some of those levels made a right turn.
And I don't even know where they ended up.
I tell you what, my level.
Cousin'none was talking to me from beyond.
I can't.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, this is a piece of the show we enjoy doing every week because this is like the
what we missed piece of the week.
And I've,
we used to do a thing pretty consistently.
It was Ebro's Algo.
So I would just send in the stuff that's popping up on my algorithm.
And I have to apologize to all of y'all.
I have not been consistent.
For no other reason that it's just like some of it's redundant.
It's always politics and shit.
And we cover that a lot.
So it's like, am I really going to keep sending this stuff in?
But my algorithm has really been locked in.
on this story right here you got the first video Rassan go ahead let me see let me see
let me see it yes my truck yes car car daddy yes yes the buss yes daddy yes the bridge
yes the bridge oh they're the river yes that's a river yes that's a river
Yes, but the sun are singing.
Yes, the birds are singing?
Here, are you going to choir? Are you sleeping?
Daddy. Yes.
Birds. Oh, yes.
Bird. Oh, yes. Burrisha.
Yeah. Wow.
Wee. Daddy.
Yes?
Wee.
Wee.
Daddy.
Yes.
One baby bicycle.
Yes.
Y, I cry every time.
Now, and by the way, that's the culmination of a bunch of, obviously a bunch of different moments
that have been on his Instagram page,
like he said, for the last six months.
The boy is two years old, bro.
Like, that is so cute.
The boy, the boy is only like two, two and a half years old.
I'm trying to find him on my gram.
I want to shout out his Instagram page.
He's teeny tiny.
I think his name is Dejy is his name.
Let me see.
Oh, because that's his bonding, you know,
his bonding experience with his son.
Yeah, for sure.
That was sweet.
Now he's like, I want my own bike.
Well, and the internet aunties and everybody that has bonded and connected with the son and his father and son, you got the next video.
So apparently we are all in agreement that the little boy does not need his own baby bike.
100% 10 out of 10 do not recommend negative 10 out of 10.
Do not recommend.
Do not give him his own baby bike.
We have to keep the content of him riding the bike with his dad.
that daddy daddy water daddy creak no baby my god oh my god he don't need one not yet
hey man um i think you should put the baby seat back on the bike uh you should you should put the
baby seat back on the bike he he wants a few more months please put the baby seat back on the bike um
bro like please put the baby seat back on the bike yeah does everybody else agree that that
wee boy that goes out and bike rides with his dad does not need a baby bike. In fact, I think that we need
to collectively agree that baby bikes are now banned in Scotland. They're so down. They're
illegal. Because that wee boy needs to stay on his dad's bike until he's 10 years old.
No, man, I love people, man.
That is so good. Did y'all hear about that explosion at the baby bike factory? Yeah. I don't know.
could someone let that dad in Scotland know that unfortunately like the baby bike factory it blew up i
was there i just happened to be there and you know i had nothing to do with it but you know i just
happened to be walking by and then boom right yeah yeah and um then i heard that because the baby
bike factory blew up uh there will be no more baby bikes for like ever they just said well we're just
not gonna make baby bikes, you know?
So, um, y'all's babies gonna have to just keep riding with you, okay?
Yeah.
Damn, it's really tragic.
What happened to that baby bike factory?
It was actually really scary.
Like, I kept joking up a little bit because it was so dramatic for me.
Yeah, so, um, it's just really tragic, but, you know, they were already recalled.
It keeps going.
Yes.
Those affected people.
Kara's all over her face.
Now, Rassan, you got the clip with his dad.
I mean, he's, and by then, I found his Instagram, too, man, on my, on my thing.
His name is Dim.
Hello, Dimeji is his name.
He's out in Edinburgh.
Let's see, let's see Dad real quick.
Is he on?
Okay.
It's been brought.
brought to my attention that most baby bicycle factories have been burnt down.
And those that are still standing have stopped production entirely.
The internet aunties, uncles and self-appointed grandparents are in mourning.
Millions of arts broken.
And I have reviewed the situation carefully.
carefully. I have consulted the data and I've also considered my options. Fine. I'll do it myself.
So he's going to build the baby bicycle. All right. Go dad go. Now obviously I'm partial to this as a dad.
Second, I got a toddler too. And third, I like riding bikes. Yeah. And it's just wholesome content,
bro. Nah, that's been on my alcohol all week. And last week too. Yeah. Yes. Yes. So you
content. You didn't, you've never seen this story at all. No. No. The only one and I didn't send you guys the video, but the only one that has been capturing me is the, um, is there's the trend where like mothers are reading to their sons or daughters unto a child, like, while they are the best child in the world to death. So it's just like, you know, my son is handsome and kind and loving and you see them like their eyes just start to like shake and water. The child. Oh, that's beautiful.
That's the one that's been getting me.
I'm watching it.
I'm like, oh, my God, this is so sweet.
You know what?
No, I have not.
This is the first time me watching the bike.
And now I'm in.
I love that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, shout to that father, son.
They got sponsors.
His page is popping, too.
That's fire.
He's not a game.
Hello, DeMessi.
If y'all want to follow along and see what happens next with the baby bicycle.
I love it.
I'm all into it.
If you're looking for music out there this weekend, shout to Buster Roms.
He got the Jay Diller record that just dropped.
There's going to be a full album with that as well.
The diligence album.
Yeah, the diligence project.
So shout to our friend Buster Rhymes.
And then on the Versus thing, something else we missed all week,
was the Donnell Jones, Joe, because that got confirmed.
We actually know we talked about it.
I didn't want to get involved in the release of the details.
Right, right, right.
But Versus has confirmed.
My name is Joe, the biggest album that I've ever had.
selling over 3 million copies.
You are now listening to Versus Radio.
I feel like in my opinion, where I want to be, has to be ranked.
One of the greatest Army songs.
It has to be in that top ten.
Up next is Donnell Jones versus Joe.
Okay.
Very dope.
Very dope.
And look, man.
I, you know, I'm a, I'm a R&B music fan, probably more than I'm a hip hop fan.
I'm going to keep it real.
Like, I listen to much more R&B probably than I listen to hip hop.
And R&B is kind of like the base of my love for music.
Everything for me kind of starts with R&B melodies and all of that.
And then it dovetails into hip hop or back towards jazz or, you know, classic soul and these other things from back in the day.
But though that this remember tank and Tyrese people at the time was like oh okay tanking
Tyrese uh but real R&B fans knew what time it was.
I'm seeing the same thing with this.
Yeah.
If you're not from that R&B and you don't know the value of these records, fine.
You're going to learn at verses on August 20th on Apple Music and y'all make sure y'all tune in
Apple Music will be from our LA studios out in LA.
Um, you know, we have, uh, we have our radio studios out there, Ndeska, Estelle, Nick, Eddie.
Uh, the whole family will be out there.
Swizz usually pops up, Timbo might slide through.
Shout to the whole versus team, the whole Apple music team.
But yeah, we have a good time, man.
We're versus.
So it was dope.
That's going to be fun.
I'm looking forward to this one.
Uh, anything else we need to get to Laura Stiles before we jump over to the Patreon.
No.
Wait, what happened?
You got a microphone, Rahsa.
I was going to say, if you guys want to hit the Lakers.
What happened with the Lakers?
Sold by Kushner's owning.
Cushner and Bob Iger bought the Lakers for $12 billion.
So Bob Iger, former Disney, along with the Cushners.
Yep.
Mm-hmm.
They own the Lakers.
Yep.
Yep.
A record $12.5 billion.
Ooh.
So I was raised the Laker fan.
This is now.
But then it's like what Dolan is Trump.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, they're billionaires.
What do you expect?
I mean, I know there's some, I don't know, is there some decent ones?
Who owns the Sixers?
Who knows?
Who am I rooting for this year?
No.
I know.
I'll tell you the one thing I am excited about, though, the opening day for the NBA is Nick Sixers at the Garden.
Spurs OKC, that'll be the late game.
Nick Sixers is at 730 Eastern game, but they have a 3 o'clock game.
on opening day, which is a Tuesday in October,
which is interesting because the NBA is clearly like,
yo, we're going to give you this daytime game like baseball does,
and y'all going to get on these apps and on your phones while you're at work
and watch these games.
Oh, yeah.
And take over probably by MSG right there.
I'm sure there's going to be a watch party, right?
For sure, for sure, for sure.
Well, you think they'll do the watch party right in front of MSG like last time?
I think so.
Or like the playoffs and all that.
LeBron in town, Philly, New York.
That's how you do it.
The NBA knows what they're doing.
Wait, Marty Mendez is here.
What would you like to say?
Josh Harris.
There we go.
Yeah, he does bipartisan donations.
He's not.
Not magos.
Not, well, part of the ownership.
Part of the ownership.
Yeah.
The business partners are like,
okay, bipartisan.
So they're billionaires that support everybody.
Yeah.
The same guy who also partially owns the commanders.
Partially.
Oh.
Yeah.
Devils.
Yeah.
And the New Jersey Devils,
commanders and Sixers.
Mm-hmm.
Sounds way better than what's happening with the Lakers.
Yeah.
And y'all saw how Trump was in the building with the Knicks.
But yo, shout to the Knicks fans, man.
Listen, y'all held the line, got a chip,
and now we're almost back to a new season.
So big up to y'all.
Meet us over on Patreon right now.
We put that show together so you can join us for Family Friday.
Check out some vids and all that.
And we'll see y'all right over there right now.
All right.
Oh, yeah.
This is behind the paywall now.
This is the pre-recorded behind the paywall.
Wait, what now?
So they can on hear your sing.
Tell me what you're...
Tell me.
It's a rare condition this day and age to read any good news on the newspaper page.
Love and tradition of the grand design
Some people say it's even harder to find
Inside this gentle I see is a towel of dreams
Remember, Ebro-Laure Rosenberg at Gmail
You want to get it popping with us
I want to shout out Jay Miller
Um, from Augusta GA
Hit me up or hit us up
Because he's talking about when he turned 45
Got his first colonoscopy
Okay.
And he's yelling at me basically for procrastinating on my colonoscopy.
He's heard me mention it a few times.
I still haven't gotten it done.
Stop putting these things off.
He says that his grandfather died from stomach cancer.
Mom told him to ask for an endoscopy too.
The doctor was already planning to do one because my annual blood work showed unusually low iron levels,
which made him think I might be losing blood internally, he says.
This, hang on, man.
Yo, we didn't fix the gnats in here yet, Lou.
No, we got to get it.
There's always one.
It's just one asshole.
Every day.
So the crazy part is before all this, he was having chest pain,
whatever I thought was just heartburned.
His heart checked out fine.
Somebody thought much of it.
But when he woke up from the colonoscopy and endoscopy, the doctor told him his colon was healthy
and that they had found a tumor in his stomach.
Oh, my God.
A few months later, I had my entire stomach removed because of stomach cancer.
Who knew you could live without a stomach, he said?
I never heard.
I never knew that.
Oh, wow.
Thankfully, they caught in time.
Today I'm doing well.
Just have to eat smaller meals throughout the day.
My point is that something as common as heartberg could sometimes be a sign.
Something much bigger is going on.
Don't ignore symptoms.
Get your screenings.
And Ebro, go get that colonoscopy.
You're right, sir.
You are 1,000% right.
By the way, I created an intro for the rundown segment.
And I just want to say thanks for not getting it to F out of here after Hot Rod Rick came with that fire ass lowdown intro.
Shout out to him.
But listening to us for over 10.
So wait, he made this?
Laura got the run down, turn that up.
Is that what he said?
Thanks for not getting it out of here after Hot Rod.
I think so.
That's what he's trying to say.
That was you?
That was you?
That's you.
Shout to you, bro.
Right back and confirmed.
Thank you, Jane.
Shout to you, fan.
Yes, we love it.
Laura, you had the big envision fest.
I did.
And speaking of families, families drove from all over the area to see you.
Yes.
We have actually, let me see.
uh oh lu cayote i hope i am saying your name correctly uh wrote and it said envision fest was dope thanks
for the tickets my wife and nieces um flop but i still came up from v a and brought a family friend
and they definitely enjoyed it i sent back pictures to everyone and they were salty yeah we
uh envision went when envision fest went down beautifully um listen i had a lot of nervous moments guys
but at the end this is a picture these are staged moments with our keynote speakers
Millie and JT, which was a treat for our community.
A lot of my girls, you know, they've never seen a celebrity.
Yeah.
So it was really cool for them to come up.
And we don't have performances.
At least we haven't in the past couple of years, but we just have cool conversations
about career.
So, and it ends up really, really cool because the audience gets to have like a little
intimate moment with their favorite artist.
Now, do you experience the thing where like you guys are reaching out for, you know,
sponsors and corporations to engage with these young people?
And because of all of the federal changes and changes in corporate workforce,
there's a lot of people who didn't participate.
Yes, correct.
Now you have the event.
Now you're posting about the event.
Yeah.
And then people are like, yo, I should have been there.
Can I be there next year?
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I get a lot of that.
And then when it's time to like, hey, it's time, we'll get back to you.
I get a lot of that.
But for everyone who's been asking, like, what is it?
I have a small little recap I want to play for you.
This is a professional recap.
but just so you can see some of the cool things that we do.
We're blooming, we're becoming.
The fits are fitting.
The girls are getting it.
Hey, everybody, it's Laura Stout.
When I tell you, the energy is absolutely beautiful.
We have so much in store for you guys.
Check it out.
Loving the community in here.
Like, everything is so tea and amazing.
What's up, y'all?
It's your girl, Flo Millie.
And my experience at the Envision Festival was great.
You know, we had our...
all the baddies come out.
Hi, my name is Yasmin.
We did A-Flow.
It was so cute.
It was so nice, refreshing.
Envision Festival theme is bloom and become,
and I feel like that's exactly what I'm stepping into.
Hey y'all, it's Khadija Dosso.
And today, I was an amazing pitch judge.
I absolutely loved all the fishes.
I love the energy.
They're gonna come back tomorrow even harder.
I just finished the panel.
I met so many beautiful, successful black women up there.
We all are building a community and getting gyms
on how we can be better, how we can succeed.
I love seeing the confidence in people being so inspired
and becoming and blooming in their own perfect self.
So that's what we do, Ebro.
No, amazing.
Yeah.
No, I mean, I've been, and my wife was over there this year.
Jazz pulled up over there this year to hang out and be up in there.
But, yeah, no, Envision Fest is fire.
And I just, Laura, I've said this to you privately and publicly, but I'll say it again.
first congratulations because not a lot of people can have
what eight years seven years seven years seven years
an event like this going on for seven years where you're
raising money and creating programming very hard to do
yeah and you know I've told you behind the scenes I have a couple of times
I was like I don't know if I could do this anymore yeah because it's a lot of work
and it's all for community and you guys we're in a really difficult time where it's like
and we talk about how everything is political but some of these brands feel like
They don't have to invest in community anymore.
So that's how I lose sponsorships.
And not just me.
I'm friends with other organizations.
Like, what are my girlfriends,
Elise Fox, who runs Sad Girls Club,
which is an organization that gives free mental health services,
but not only for black girls, but for everyone.
You know, like she's getting hit really hard.
So some of us have to team up, try to share funds, but it's hard.
Well, it's hard.
So I just want to make sure that we're doing all,
everything in our power to make sure you guys get supported.
Thank you.
Thank you.
So if you work at a company that funds nonprofits,
I will reach out.
I welcome all the help because I feel like I don't talk about the hardships enough.
You know what I mean?
I kind of keep it to myself.
But maybe I need to tell everyone, tell the world.
So if you work somewhere and you're like, hey, we fund nonprofits
because there's a lot of companies that do, just, you know,
keep InVision Foundation.
We're a 501C3.
We do a lot of great work.
Keep us in mind.
So hopefully we can partner out.
Um, and that now you were out all weekend.
Yes.
And so those are the only two pitches we get.
Uh, wait, hold on.
Kenza learned how to double dutch this weekend at InVision.
What?
Oh, yo.
Did you tell jazz this?
No, I haven't told you.
You know jazz is like, my, my lady's like double dutch queen, bro.
Oh my God.
No, like wants to start like grown up double dutch workout things.
I don't know if my ankles are built for it.
No, no, no.
But.
Dead.
She.
she's ready to go.
Like,
still jumps rope.
Check this out.
This is her first attempt at Double Dutch.
Hey, she's doing better than me.
I never got good at that.
But then again,
I wasn't hanging out with girls skipping rope.
So all the girls were doing,
though,
I just never.
So what was cool,
Ebro,
that the Brooklyn Museum
blessed us,
they have a cool mobile museum.
Uh-huh.
So they pulled up with their mobile museum
and they gave the community
free sewing classes.
And they did have,
and art and they have double dutch so that was courtesy of the Brooklyn Museum yeah
yeah no no Brooklyn Museum yeah yeah the Bam is fantastic and they're also a partner of us but
separate um wow that's dope so over on my side of thing so we went pretty much the full week
before we go to my family stuff we went pretty much the full week we're only getting two texts
three texts from Rosenberg um three three three okay
Which ones?
We got him trying to book a guest.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, him trying to book a guest.
Um, he had some comments about the Drake conversation.
Oh, right, right, right, right, right.
Um, and the trans.
He had comments about the dudes joining the WNBA.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Okay.
Now, that's not bad.
It's not too bad.
No.
Now, what was this we were supposed to go to his Instagram to get?
Well, how did that come across?
This is cute because it's cute.
Was this your idea or he sent this in?
Well, I was already in conversation with him about something.
I'm like, well, while you're here, you might as well just send something from Friday.
So this is him on vacation with baby Maya.
But I'm just saying, for those keeping track of home, he didn't request this.
No, no, no, no.
You're already having a conversation.
All right, cool.
All right, but if here's Joprey wants another piece of mac and cheese, she demands it, and she eats it regally.
She enjoys the mac and cheese.
But she looks around deciding whether she approves of the decor
and this disgusting peasant establishment.
She makes another demand.
She demands more.
Give me more gruel, you animal.
Feed it to me directly.
Drop it on my plate before I have you banished to the dungeon.
Now let me enjoy my mac and cheese
in the way that only a queen of true royal service,
standards can.
And smush around my noodles.
Smear them.
I don't want this disgusting cherry tomato.
Get it off my plate.
Matter of fact, I don't want these noodles either.
Take this crap.
Take this gruel and shove it up your ass.
I'm better than this.
I throw it right on the floor.
Let a peasant pick it up.
Pick it up.
Pick it up, peasant woman.
Pick up the damn food.
Pick it up now.
I said you pick it up now.
Oh, shut up. You're disturbing me.
I want to eat more noodles.
On second thought, I think I won't what I threw on the ground.
Is there another piece for me?
Let me look over here.
I don't like this noodle.
It's stupid, just like you.
Go pick it up or be beheaded later.
You're fool?
Ah, clean my hands, you dirty peasant bitch.
Yo!
And give me some drink now.
I need Agua to hate your Agua.
I pour it on the ground.
Pick it up, you dumb idiot.
You're an embarrassment.
This Agua's disgusting.
I'll have a sip.
You're so stupid.
No, that's funny.
Yo, toddlers are, like, basically just entitled, drunken.
You know what?
That was a great narration.
Great narration.
Meanwhile, in the hallways of my living quarters,
here's Salasi walking to the pool.
Let's go.
True.
With the glasses, bro, I can't.
I cannot.
Let me see that again.
The pool.
Dude.
The boys.
I was speaking cute.
Last weekend, I think we shot at Issa's birthday last week,
but it was technically her birthday was on Saturday.
She had a football tournament down in PA.
Okay.
And which, do you have the video of her bragging about her?
Oh, you have them all together?
Okay, let's just start it.
We'll just watch it.
It's Easter's birthday today.
How do you feel?
Good.
What do you feel most greatest about?
I had a football game today and I did good.
Very good.
Like how good?
Like seven touchdowns good.
How many offensive?
How many defensive?
Like three defenses and four offensive.
Okay, so pick six.
And then I went to a girl, I was like,
hit with my hook like that so she didn't get me.
What's the happy boat for?
They change it.
So here's some highlights.
To the house.
To the house.
Why he says it's not fair.
That's one play.
Now they played some tough games.
In this game, she went great.
But two the games before this game, I think they went to like,
double overtime. They change it?
Yeah, yeah, there was a listener who might be watching this. This is his nieces that
he's just playing against. He came over and was before the game. Oh my gosh, she did it
again. She did it. Freaking a little motion in the backfield. So the guy comes over
before the game, he's like, yo, I love what y'all doing. I wish I remember.
with his name.
Love what y'all doing.
They try to, you know, try to finish y'all off.
I love to pivot, you know, all that stuff.
I was like, yeah, man, though.
He's like, yo, your daughter's out of playing?
I'm like, yeah, she's on this team here that's about to play.
He's like, oh, they're playing against my nieces is on this team.
They're going to play each other.
I was like, word, dope, man, yeah, cool.
And then he's going crazy.
And he's like, wait, that's your daughter?
I was like, yeah, that's my.
He's like, nah, bro, you got to tell her to chill.
I was like, that she's having a good game.
Why should she?
No, he was just talking.
But he, it was super cool.
He was super nice.
And, but there's other great teams out there.
Like, Issa had a great game.
You know, I know we only show her highlights, obviously.
But, like, they went to another game, and they ended up losing.
And they ended up losing.
They didn't go to the championship.
Like, they didn't make it to the end of that tournament.
And there's other great teams, you know, that do very well.
Even the two teams they played before this game.
I think I said one touchdown in one of those games
but the other ones went like double overtime.
You know what I mean?
So it's not, I know a lot of the clips it looks like
Issa's just going crazy because she is
because I'm going to show her highlights.
But there's other great, a lot of great girls
out playing flag football around the tri-state and around the country.
And so it's really blowing up too.
Like it's really, really blowing up.
I think the number of NCAA scholarships is like really exploded.
New Jersey and New York State high schools have made it an official sport.
and I know a lot of the other, you know, sports
that people have invested in for a long time,
like girls lacrosse, softball, soccer,
like obviously they don't want girls leaving those sports
to come and play flag football.
So that's kind of like the politics of high school sports
and club sports is, you know,
a lot of these other leagues and other types of sports,
they want to attract girls to their sports.
And so when you have a sport that explodes like this,
which I knew it would.
And remember,
Issa, this was all Issa's idea.
She came home one day and was like,
I want to play flag football.
Yeah.
Because one of the teachers at her school
was a flag football coach
and told her she would be good.
She was like, I want to try girls' flag football.
So her mom went out and found a place for the start.
And this is before, this is what now,
probably four years ago?
I think so.
Has it been that long?
Has it been four of her son?
You think she started at eight, nine?
She was like nine.
She's 12.
She just turned 12.
Why do I feel like it's less, but my, my.
It feels longer to me, but that's because I'm doing the driving.
Yeah.
So, but at any rate, now it's going crazy.
Yeah.
And I knew it was going to go crazy because people in the U.S.
like to watch football.
Yeah.
Like, you know, as much as I appreciate lacrosse, I don't know what the fuck is going on.
Mm-hmm.
Right?
Softball.
Love softball.
Cool sport.
Not as exciting as football with the running.
and passes and all this sort of thing.
Yeah.
And so we live in a culture that already has an affinity for the sport.
So I knew it was once it caught on,
and there was organizations and people doing it, it's going crazy.
And remember when Easton went to Florida was on ESPN this past year?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, I didn't know at the time when they go.
They go down there every year.
It's at Disney down there at the ESPN facility.
This year was like Tom Brady was down there.
Like, it was like a thing.
Wow.
Bro, this is going up fast.
No, it was a thing, bro.
Like, it, and what are you going to do as a parent, right?
Like, when I was a kid, we played sports at school.
You know, all the sports that I played were offered through my public school.
I didn't have, like, club.
I think I played club.
No, I played club soccer at the rec center.
My mom paid like $100 for me to get a T-shirt and have a coach.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
We played games or whatever at the local park or whatever.
That was like the only thing I think my mom was able to pay for.
Right, right, right.
But everything else, basketball, football, baseball, wrestling, did all that at school.
Now some schools have great sports, not all, have sports programs, depending on where you live.
And then they have to, like, if you really want to compete at a certain level and be seen by coaches and all that, you got to get into these tournaments.
Yeah, you have to.
You have to.
Like, even in baseball, right?
Like, I have a, you know, I tell people who watch baseball,
if y'all really want to get baseball back cracking again,
y'all got to get black athletes back out there playing baseball.
But I was talking to C.C. Sabathia, who is one of the, you know,
obviously an ambassador for baseball and helping black kids getting it.
He was like, yo, I never left my neighborhood to get to the pro.
But what do you think it is?
It's money.
It's the access.
Because a kid to play professional.
baseball today.
Yeah.
Your family is traveling every single weekend.
Yeah.
Right?
So you're paying for travel, paying for hotels, plus paying to be in the club.
Yeah.
The teams you're on are paying to be in these tournaments, right?
Plus physical, you know, extra coaching.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
All of these extra skill sets that kid.
Same thing with basketball, by the way.
Yeah.
Right?
Like the kids that are from the poor families and poor neighborhoods,
getting to get to get seen and to get into a program where one of the bigger pro,
because that's a lot of it also, where when you're in a program with a certain group,
other bigger programs are like, oh, okay, that family is supporting this athlete.
And so we trust that if we want them on our program, that family is going to support
and be able to move them around.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hypothetically, you have a phenomenal athlete in your household.
can't afford this.
Programs will likely not want you on,
even if you're a phenomenal athlete,
because guess what?
You can't afford to get to the big tournaments.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
To support the team.
Yeah, go ahead, Rassar.
And, like, in basketball where you just need some sneakers in a ball,
baseball, if you look at some of these kids' equipment bags,
it's like thousands of dollars.
Yes.
Like, the bat is 500.
The glove, the shoes, the uniform.
Like, baseball, I'm in there right now.
This is a lot of money.
Oh, yeah, you coach.
Yeah.
coach my son is a eight you team and then my other two are in the six you team
t-ball yeah yeah it's it's especially when they get to nine you could you could use a
different bat that bad alone is like five hundred dollars say what five hundred dollars for a
bat that pops that maybe every kid wants to just a little bit their specific bat yeah bro I did
not know it was that expensive it's it's crazy and then so that's why like when you're
looking even like if you notice like you look at basketball and the and the athletes going
into the pros. A lot of them is going to specific schools. They went to the elite programs.
They were in the academies. They were in all, you know, their children of wealthy people.
Their dads or moms were like athletes before. Like, if you really pay attention to, like, a lot of
the kids that are, like, taking up NBA draft, moving around in baseball. Football still,
I think, you know, but I think what is it, like, 25% of it?
football players come from like the state of Florida.
Yeah. Florida, Texas.
Florida and Texas because they have built into the state these programs, right,
that have create opportunities for poorer families.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
But also those colleges, which are state-funded colleges like the Alabama's in these big schools,
they're counting on these kids to go to schools and sell tickets for them.
Of course.
And thankfully for the NIL, now athletes can actually make some money in college.
And they got high school, you know, they got high school athletes making money in NIL now, too.
Really?
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, especially in these club programs.
Okay.
Facts.
You know what I'm saying?
That's why I'm out here showing Issa's clips.
You know what I'm saying?
As soon as we watch, when you're going to start seeing these clips, they're going to have music behind them.
They're going to get edited real nice.
You know what I'm saying?
I haven't really, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I'm easy.
No, I ain't doing all that.
I ain't doing it.
I'm really trying to not be that parent.
Yeah.
I just, the fact that Isa just loves it is the best part, though.
Yeah.
And that's why I'm not trying to do like...
Too much.
Too much editing.
You know what I'm saying?
Too much like, let's put music behind it and all that.
But sometimes Issa be editing up her own clips.
I'm sure.
And, yeah, she'd be editing up her own clips and sharing her way of friends.
So somebody needs to be heard.
I'm sure.
I'm sure.
But no, they have, like, when you go to the tournaments,
they have parents out there with camera equipment,
drones.
Like flying drones over the field,
recording the games,
editing it up.
There was this whole story I saw
about these companies now
that when you go to certain tournaments,
they won't allow parents to film.
You have to buy the filming
of the game from the company.
Of course you do.
Of course.
So for you to even like have highlights of your kids.
That's wild.
No, no, no.
The way they jamming parents up.
So if you ain't got bread,
a lot of these opportunities
ain't coming to your kids.
We live in a society, man.
It's just halves and have-nots
more and more and more.
And you've got kids
from families
that are getting pushed
and pushed and pushed more
to the fringe.
Yeah, man.
Like Kenza is second week of fencing.
She's in still, right?
And now I'm just like, man,
like this isn't cheap.
Right?
I'm like, this isn't cheap.
I'm like, listen, she loves it.
I'm going to continue pushing in it,
especially to see what I do love
about her program,
I love to see like the diversity and little girls that are there and loving it.
So that's what I'm like, this is, this is going to be something.
As long as she loves it, but I could tell already, like, I'm going to have to be moving around.
Yeah.
Tournament.
I got to learn the basics.
I got to figure this out.
And what are you going to do?
Say no.
Yeah.
So, but yeah, I'm just thankful for everyone who's pushing programs to help kids who can't because, you know,
I'm in a lucky position where I can do it, you know?
I can do it for now.
I don't know how expensive it's going to get.
I can do it for now.
Y'all had a crazy conversation.
It wasn't crazy.
But, you know, obviously I have friends who are sports agents and like, and so I went
to a couple of my buddies.
I was like, yo, how come nobody is like really embracing like what, or so it seems,
embracing like what this girl's flag football thing is really all about?
And a couple of the guys was like, yo, we don't get involved in anything to do with kids.
Oh.
Because of parents.
Yeah.
One.
And two,
um,
deviance who take advantage of kids.
Oh,
God.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So,
you know,
as these companies are like,
yo,
we could hire someone probably to like help us get into supporting
kids sports.
But what if that person we hire has other,
other unforeseen issues that weren't in a background check.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it gets, you know, you would love to see more corporations figuring out ways to help
out kids.
But as you know, even with like Envision Fest, right, A, how many people want to actually
help out kids who are in for marginalized communities in a real way?
How many people actually take the.
money that was intended for kids and pocketed themselves.
And then you have people who abused the access to the children.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, we had him up.
I think, um, go ahead, Rassau.
Uh, we had him, uh, Venus, Serena Williams husband.
Yeah, he does Athos.
Yeah.
For a track.
That's right.
I have a cousin who just won, went gold at Nationals for 10.
Um, so she's number one, 1,500 track.
For Athos.
No, no, no, in the country.
Oh, okay.
Athos has a program.
Athos has a program for kids.
Like, they sponsor kids every year, and they give them, like,
grants or something.
Stuff like that and, like, yeah.
So maybe Athos will step in to the girls flag and some of these other sports.
They do a lot of good stuff for kids.
Yeah, they do a lot of great work.
But, yeah, no, it's a real thing, man.
And so finding ways that, you know, we can help kids who want to be athletes or, listen,
want to do whatever you want to do, even if it's not athletics,
finding systems and programs is very hard to do right and and it takes a lot of work and once again
still parents who don't have made may they don't have a work schedule maybe they don't have
transportation maybe they don't even have the money to go seek out these things yeah like it's
challenging it's very very challenging so um but yo shout to everybody that you know we see at the
tournaments for east's flag football um and you know if kinsa want some fencing tips you know i
I told you I got family that's in that fencing world.
I want to wait to make sure that she's in.
You know what I mean?
We're early.
Nah, she's in.
This is it.
We're early.
No, she can't quit.
Yeah.
He's a family rule.
I know.
That was Ricardo.
He was like, no, we're going to stick to it and see where this is.
Well, no, but also, too, like, I've been, uh, with Issa, I've been on that.
Like, you can't, first of all, you can't quit on you for worst day.
So if you have a bad day, quitting's not an option.
Yeah.
You have to, you have to go back.
You have to go back for more.
So that's something I'm is is big in the house.
Second, if you're going to stop this, you have to start something else.
So there's no version of I'm just quitting activities.
I'm doing nothing.
No, that's not an option.
So you're going to do something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean?
So that's always a thing.
So either we stick with this or you choose something else.
Yeah.
There's no, do nothing.
No, I agree with you.
Um, Salasi starts Alvinale.
this year.
Oh my God.
Was Issa the same age when she started?
Yeah.
She started the same age.
Oh my God.
Yeah, so Salasi starts her journey this year.
Let's go.
It's going to be so good.
I mean, she already showed us a preview with that thriller video.
So she's ready.
Oh, yeah, she's ready.
She's ready.
She's ready.
And it starts like, um, uh, it starts with like, you know, you got to go to the classes
and they have the drummer drumming.
You know what I'm saying?
But the parents are doing kind of the moves with the kid.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean?
I would send y'all vids, but I don't know, you know, be other kids in there.
Yeah, hard.
But I would figure out a way.
I'll figure out a way to get y'all some vids.
That's dope.
I love that.
For Family Friday, you know what I mean?
Ebro-Lawr-Rosemberg at Gmail, y'all.
You know, we slow on the email.
So, Lou,
yeah.
Ebro-Law-Rosemort at Gmail, not ringing off now that we're doing this behind the paywall.
Yeah.
And we tried it last week.
You read a couple in front of the paywall and things like that.
But I think we just have to do it more consistently.
The good news.
is there are people watching and really enjoying
the program behind the paywall.
Yes, I see some positive comments.
You know, the people behind the paywall refuse
to email.
No, they'll comment.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They may send the DM, but they won't email.
So why don't we just print that out?
And I think that's, that was where I was leading to.
So I think we should just, um, try to do that.
Print out the comments and the DMs.
Yeah.
Let's do that.
Let's do it.
How's Patreon doing?
Patreon's been doing very well.
Actually, ever since that we started the,
Fridays, I think we started seeing an increase in subscribers.
Like how many?
Like 10 a week, 20, 30, 5, 2.
I think we've gotten at least 50 more, 50 new subscribers within the last three weeks that we were doing this.
Okay.
That's decent.
And probably plus.
And thank you to everyone for showing love for our new ELR news segment with Kevin Ortega Rojas.
Yeah.
We kicked off our first episode and we got some good feedback.
Lou dropped it in the Patreon for the Patrione's to check out.
Even though it's free, it's on our channel,
but I just thought I just want to put it in people's faces
so they can see and support.
So we got a lot of great feedback on that.
So how does this work?
Every week there will be a new ELR news?
Yes, we're going to drop one weekly.
Okay.
And we already have potential guests that want to come on and discuss
and just dig a little deeper when it comes to politics
and progressive issues and fans of Kevin who are excited
that now he has a platform where we can truly just speak his mind.
So, Rassan, that's today.
Yeah, episode will drop today.
Yes.
Yep.
Okay.
That's what's up.
So look, man, we love y'all.
Thanks for locking in.
We'll be back on Monday.
ELR.
Ebro, when does Rosenberg come back?
You back Monday.
Are we sure?
Well, no, but we're about you back Monday.
You know, Hamill will be Sunday.
He's like, yeah, I need a day.
I need a day from the vacation.
Yo.
Now, he said he really, this was really a real vacation.
I know, remember the last time he, what did,
they went somewhere and he sent in video of him
struggling with luggage in the street?
What was that?
They were in Europe.
Yeah.
I don't think that was a real vacation.
Real vacation.
No, because he came from
W.W.E. I think at that time.
Yeah, yeah, because he was working.
So this one's a real disconnect.
Just be with the fam.
So everyone needs us.
That's what's up.
Man.
We appreciate y'all.
Shoot us an email.
We'll see y'all next week.
Don't call it a podcast.
