Starting point is 00:00:00 Just don't call in a podcast. The Ebro-Lora Rosenberg shows. Hey, oh, oh, oh, oh, ooh. So, question. After yesterday's beef discussion on the program. And the beef, beef, not like rat beef, like actual food you eat. Yeah. I was like, because I had been keeping beat like just like a, like a,
Starting point is 00:00:34 couple of steaks in the freezer. I don't really eat them that often. You know what I'm saying? It's not like a big red meat guy. Not really. But, well, I might have a, I might have a couple of steaks a month. Okay. Kind of guy. And maybe, uh, and that's, but that's still recent. That's the last couple years. Yeah, yeah, it's very new. But then I started thinking, like, because the last time I stopped eating beef was in the 90s. Okay. In college. Because of the first mad cow. Remember the old mad cow breakout? That bug me out in the 90s. You don't know. I'm a college kid. I was like, wait, what?
Starting point is 00:01:06 The cows are killing us. Mad cow disease. Oh, my gosh. You know what I mean? So I was like, I'm not playing with them no more. And then now when I came back around, I have a couple of dollars in my pocket. When I do eat the steak, I'm eating like a, you know, I'm going to a restaurant. A Spizzot.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Right. Yeah. And getting the thing thing, you know? I think they're all overrated, but they're all good, too. At least I think I'm getting a thing. No, no. It feels like a thing thing. But once you get to like a certain level, you're like, this meals cost to me $250.
Starting point is 00:01:33 And they all taste. generally the same. Well, yeah. They're good. They're really good. Yeah, and I'm just, and I'm getting ass steak, not a meal. Like, I literally will show up and be like,
Starting point is 00:01:40 I want the New York strip. I want it well. That's all I'm getting from you. And you won't get sides? No, because I'm only eating, well, I like it. A, B, my doctor told me to eat it because of like iron because he's like, yo, you need to eat more red meat because your iron.
Starting point is 00:01:54 I don't like your iron level. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Type thing. And I do like it. Like, I do enjoy it. But I'm not like I need mashed potatoes. I'm going there to have a whole thing. Sit down and have an experience.
Starting point is 00:02:04 A lot of times I'm just picking up. That's the only way I'm doing it is for the whole experience. See, I'm just going on the pickup. I'm going for the old fashioned. I'm going for the cream spinach, the mac and cheese. Yeah, I'm not doing. That's the best part. In fact, I could skip the steak.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Really? If they said, yo, I can just get a couple bites of your steak and have my side. I basically, you're good. Like, I like it, but I just, I don't love it. I like it. Yeah. So, so, okay. But anyway, I was thinking about the combo yesterday.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I was like, well, hell, I know a guy who owns a farm upstate New York. New York. I told you guys this. But I wasn't sure because I was hearing other ranchers talk about that they can't sell directly to consumers. And so I called him. And I was like, bro, explain. And can I shout out your farm? It was my first question.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Can I shout out? You know, I didn't know if he was just like telling me I could buy directly from him or it was like a thing you could do from his farm. And I know him. So I feel like if I shout out his farm, it's a trustworthy place. Okay. It's called Wendy Pines. It's in upstate New York. They have a beautiful website.
Starting point is 00:03:06 His wife makes, like, handmade soaps and, like, you know, they're, and they have chickens and all these things. Matter of fact, it's so upstate New York. He told me that in the front of their house every day, they just leave out eggs for the neighborhood. Oh, my God. And people just come by and get fresh eggs and leave, like, $5 in a basket. It's upstate, upstate.
Starting point is 00:03:25 How cute, right? That's very nice. It's very nice. Sounds great. But anyway, they have pigs and chickens. He has, like, 300 head of cattle. So it's a real thing. He told me that in New York State, if you're a rancher and you have cows,
Starting point is 00:03:37 they have a USDA inspector on the farm that is unique to New York State. At all times? So every time they're processing and cutting meat, every cut of meat is already being inspected. So it allows New York State farms to sell directly to the consumer, where in other states, they make the rancher take their. cattle to a processing place, then it's inspected, and then it can leave the state. Got it, but not in New York. But not in New York State.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Cool. So if you're, you know, if you're unwinding around this 300,000 tons of beef and where the beef is coming from and you're a beef person and you need to have beef, you can order straight from Windy Pines Farms, Upstate New York is what I'm telling you. Windy Pines. It's got a beautiful website. You can go on there. You can order.
Starting point is 00:04:31 And that's how I was telling you, you can order like a quarter cow, half a cow. Maybe you and your family could get together and buy a whole damn cow. And they cut it up for you and give you the ground beef into this thing and then that thing. I've never done it before. I wonder what the smallest amount of beef you can get in. Oh, this is nice. Okay. So anyway, I've never done it yet.
Starting point is 00:04:54 I'm terrified of. But I know my guy, Sean, who owns it. Okay. Boom. Family owns. him and his wife and he's running the whole damn thing. So anyway, I went ahead and did a little more research on it
Starting point is 00:05:08 because I saw all the combo. And there's still more combo about the where the beef. Where's the beef? Where's the beef? It's crazy. It's back and around. It's different. Where's the beat?
Starting point is 00:05:19 No, that's different meaning now. Yeah, that's going to be a whole thing now. People bring him back, where's the beef. Yo, this guy, I don't know. This guy's a good follow. I got a shot him out. I sent it over this morning. You have it, Rizahn?
Starting point is 00:05:28 This guy's like a Texas farmer or something. but he's anti-maga and he's a good follow. So I told you Trump was lying about finding 300 tons of beef out there to import. Do a little quick math with me. This is old Texas. I hope your coffee's as good as mine. Hell, I hope it's better. I really do.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Do this math with me. If you take and make nothing but hamburger, we're not talking sirloins, we're not talking ribbyes, we're not talking ribs, we're not talking biscuit, nothing. with nothing but hamburger a head of cattle that yield about 500 pounds of hamburger. Yeah. So, 500 pounds of hamburger, that's four head per ton.
Starting point is 00:06:16 He said 300,000 tons. Okay, 300,000 times four is 1.2 million head of cattle. Find me the country that's got 1.2 million head of excess cattle that they can go ahead and process and send to the United States of America on top of not what they've got in the system that's already being exported and all that. No, this is extra, 1.2 million extra pounds of cattle that they've got. And I will tell you that country doesn't exist. Not even the United States of America. We do not have 1.2 million extra head of cattle standing around in the fields. We don't. So where's that beef going to come from?
Starting point is 00:07:04 I found it. Started looking at rejected beef. Oh, God. Yeah. There's about 300 tons of rejected beef sitting in South America right now. It's too poor quality to go to China. Yeah. I mean, it's on brand.
Starting point is 00:07:32 It's very on brand. Very on brand. And actually, it's so on brand. It so reminds me of in that Boeing dock, when Boeing started going to shit, and they started doing terrible things, the quality control people noticed that parts that said scrapped and that they would put in boxes that they'd write scrap and spray paint on it.
Starting point is 00:07:51 They was putting them back in rotation. Take them back, put them back in the plane. Wow. So it sounds similar. We don't care about it. Well, so whenever you guys hear, so a lot of the corporates and billionaires and whatever, spend money, a lot of money to market things that benefit them.
Starting point is 00:08:11 And so often you'll hear during the election cycle about deregulation, deregulation, too many regulations are in the way of us getting things done. Okay, even here in New York City, when Mom Donnie was running, he was talking about the same things where there were too many, you had to fill out too many forms to become a barber. Yeah, and have multiple permits. And you had to have so many permits. It was just so much bureaucracy. in the way of actually getting things done.
Starting point is 00:08:39 So you naturally will go, well, this sounds like something we need to fix. Right. But then there's the other side of it, which is the side you're talking about, and I'm talking about, where now they've deregulated so much. Red tape's gone, maybe.
Starting point is 00:08:53 That corporations are like, I mean, rejected beef. Like, what's really going to happen? Once you cook it, be right. Right. Well, in all likelihood, it'll be fine. Well, so if China is like, listen, this because I think we reported it on it yesterday there's some some antibiotic in it that causes some
Starting point is 00:09:13 kind of blood disorder can you look at it up louis really quickly why did china reject the beef where's the beef not in china it's not in june but but nonetheless it's some sort of chemical that's like once it consumed it's like in your body and it can be passed to your children and it can it's like a forever chemical almost oh yeah Yeah, I was just, okay. That's like, which is why China rejected shipping from Argentina. It's called chloramphenicol, a dangerous antibiotic that has been banned in food producing animals for decades.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Cool. Great. And even yesterday when they ran across Donald Trump on the big plane and a reporter asked him about it, he attacked the reporter because all she did was like, hey, you know, are we, you know, getting beef from China? I mean a beef from Argentina because China just rejected some beef. He was like, you don't know anything about Argentina. Their country's falling apart. You don't know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:10:19 And basically be ready to the reporter for asking a pretty simple question about like, hey, what's going on with the goddamn beef? The Internet keeps saying this, and I haven't, don't know if it's true. Is the president of Argentina, the cousin of Benjamin. Net and Yahoo. I don't know. I've seen that rumor, but I don't know. I don't know if it's just an internet thing. I do not know.
Starting point is 00:10:43 But I've heard that before. Then I saw videos of people rioting in Argentina because they've changed some land purchasing law in Argentina, which allows people from all over the world to go buy land in Argentina. And Argentinians are pissed, which is why they claim they're bottoming out the economy so people can get things on the cheap and take Argentina from the people. who have lived there for generation. Producer Griff did a quick Google search
Starting point is 00:11:09 and he says no. No. That's a rumor. That's a rumor. Yeah. But anyway, welcome to the ELR show. 8444, ELR, ELR 3. We have lots of other fun things to get to like in the rundown day.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Yes, yes. I mean, Rosenberg and I kind of want to get it to the run down early. Matter of fact, hit it. Get it? Yeah, let's go. Must be a doozy. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still come.
Starting point is 00:11:36 So Joey Badass was trending yesterday. Yes. Because Soraya is completely done with that relationship. She announced that she ended their engagement and is accusing him of repeatedly cheating throughout the relationship. Now, she posted a lengthy statement on social media. Say she made the difficult decision to end things with Joey. The father of her child. Here's, let me see.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Rassan, yep, there you go. So she claims, you know, she says she says she, loved him deeply and believed in the life that they were building but ultimately had to face which she caused repeated infidelity during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of her life she claims joey promised um proposed had her move her life for him then cheated on her and adding that she had all the receipts then she flipped the camera to show what appeared to be a recorded conversation with him talking about his relationship with her with another woman it was not good oh that i never saw i didn't see that that was a recording yeah i saw our audio recording
Starting point is 00:12:36 I also saw a video of her and I saw that letter. Joy Badass is 31. We have the video. Oh, we have video. All right. Yes. I'm private because a lot of people publicly know, family knows and everything, but this person proposes to me, wants to build a life with me, has me moved my life out here. Cheats on me.
Starting point is 00:13:02 I find out. Continuously just telling me that he doesn't want that life, he wants me, da-da-da-da. then proceeds to be out with people and yes I have my receipts I have my receipts but you guys will know who the this is and I don't want this to be a confusion any longer
Starting point is 00:13:20 there's no podcast he can get on sweet talk in the world it's over with well listen you know the button is a button just even what's happening are you watching a novella
Starting point is 00:13:34 no that was the owner of the San Diego Padres you know it's black woman I came up on my Instagram, my followers. Quanza Jones, her name. Quanza Jones? That is a black name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Quanza Jones is... That's it. No, it's going for it, bro. That's the real. You know, owner of San Diego Padres. And at any rate, I guess I just want to say that both of these individuals are young. They're both 31. And hopefully they can figure out how to navigate this as parents.
Starting point is 00:14:04 I mean, it's not like it's a new phenomenon. No, but what it is is, is... at least on the surface, because I was telling Lord, to me it goes to another story that's moving around today. And I'm not trying to, like, turn this into all things,
Starting point is 00:14:15 validate me. But, bro, Jed York are the 49ers? Who's that? Oh, no, the 49ers. Oh, yeah, I saw that Ohio prostitution. $140. $140.40 at a trailer park
Starting point is 00:14:26 in East Palestine, Ohio. Yeah, you're going through something. You're going through something. Obviously, listen, his life will be, you know, actually, I'm sure his personal life will become a mess. But, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:35 the 49ers are like, hey, we're moving on. It's the beautiful part about being an owner. and not a player. You're just like, yeah, sorry. I'm not not getting rid of my team. So let's play football. How did he get caught? Um, it was like a sting operation. Like, because he was using like a regular website, a casual ass website. And then you tell me, didn't you tell me, um, that that is some, that's a thing too. Like the, the, the, the, the,
Starting point is 00:14:57 oh, yes, the trying, that you're putting yourself in situations where you might get caught. So we were having this conversation yesterday on, on, on Don Hannah Rosenberg. And Dom was just like, you know, in, in, we, we speak a language on our show where we, we managed to say things we were not saying anything but we're but don't was basically saying is you can't just jerk off like why are you what are you what are we doing and I was like bro that's not what is happening here like this but or can't you get the highest price prostitute there is that's not what it's not the high right it's not what the high is yeah yeah it's it's the like you might get
Starting point is 00:15:27 caught that's a big part it's the thrill you know as Latarian Milton once eloquently said it's fun to do bad things and I hear you that's not always what the thing is but I'm turning this back into the Joey situation and obviously none of us know the exact details but we can see the heartbreak in this woman right yeah and like and also we know it right like we've heard this story a hundred times yeah how many times it's a million it's just over and over again and so that's it's just uh when are we gonna really look at what's going on here because sometimes we just look at it's like ah people cheat and yes that is true people do cheat people do randomly fall in love with other people people do randomly fall in love with other
Starting point is 00:16:06 people people do randomly have one-offs with people but more often than not I think if we dig into it it's a serial pattern with people and they can't stop doing it and like that is when we're talking about that's why when people like sex addiction ha ha ha we're all addicted to sex and it's like no but you're you're doing behavior you're doing behavior that like we all know we all know joey's a good dude yeah if this story is true you are repeatedly going to behavior that is beneath what your moral level is. That's when we're talking about a problem. And the other part is like, you know, she said in there, he would say, no, no, no, I don't
Starting point is 00:16:42 want that. I want you. Right. And by the way, I believe it. And I was going to say that is, that I think is what the addiction issue is. It's like an addict to drugs. Like where a drug addict is like, no, I don't want to lose my family for this other thing. I really value my family.
Starting point is 00:16:59 But I keep doing heroin or crack or I'm coke binges or. Whatever because I'm an addict. I'm going back for more. There was a clip also that was moving around that I saw actually this morning. It was a Soraya in an interview with Jason Lee. And I don't follow Joey's personal life, but I guess he was very open about being polyamorous. Like that was something that he was into. Joey.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Yes. Okay. And Jason asked her like, so what happened? What did you do to get him out of that life? And she basically said that her grandma, when they got together, her grandma, found clips of him talking about this and brought it to her. And then they had a conversation. He was like, I'm done with that.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Oh, well, guess what he wasn't done with? Yeah. Congratulations. You plagued yourself. And not without some, not, maybe he was cycle in the forefront of his brain. That was what he wanted to be. Sure. Doesn't mean he's there yet.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Now, on the flip side of this, though, you know, we'd be remiss and I'll talk about Soraya also, like the person who's going through this. So the woman I'm recording with today for a Thursday's Validate Me episode is a doctor named Jen Acker. She's one of many now experts in this field. But what's interesting is she's not just like a sex addiction expert. She's a betrayal trauma expert. And I really think like we normalize the betrayal part of like, oh, people get cheated on. I mean, women been getting cheated on since the dawn of time.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Brodo, it's like a legitimate, like she compared it to like for, For endless, I don't, we don't know everyone's relationship, so I can't speak to them specifically. So let's just talk about a generic couple who's married or been together for a long time. It's like a death, bro. It's like, it's like a 9-11 in the person's life. The towers went down. There's destruction everywhere. And everything you thought was true in the eyes of the person at that moment is now completely false.
Starting point is 00:18:53 So you can't even find your footing to move on in your life. Because if you're married, you completely change this person's life moving forward. Nothing will be the same. Right. And it's and then people make it really and now they're making choices too. So you are completely effed up and now you're like, hold on, let me make gigantic life choices about what I'm doing next. And you may not be in any good place to be doing that. It's a really dangerous situation. The real comp I think for people is other than your parents, okay, when someone gets married or commits to a new relationship, they have now converted their safety and trust.
Starting point is 00:19:32 level that they would have with a mom and dad to another human being. That's literally what I was listening to Jen Acker talk about in a podcast yesterday. Yeah. It is literally the bond you create with your mother. Yes. You shift that often to your partner. That's right. And like a child, it would be like a child's mother betraying them.
Starting point is 00:19:52 That's right. Like that level. So people don't understand men in particular. It's not always men. Obviously women do have these issues and do it. But like they don't understand. Like, why are they whiling out? it's like, no, they don't, they don't know what's up and what's down.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Well, and also their entire world, their entire world and safety, remember, women are big on, that's why consistency is so big with women, because it provides a level of safety. And once you have children, you really realize how much consistency provides the human brain with, with safety. The feeling of safety. I agree. Right. And so women are there before men.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Like understanding why that's important, men don't get there. Like we, at least I didn't until I was late in, you know, late in my 30s and having Issa where I understood, oh, the human brain needs to know what's going to happen on a regular basis, down to like food is going to be prepared at a certain time and we're eating at a certain time and your whole everything. I wake up at a certain time. I do this at a certain time. I get these things are just there.
Starting point is 00:21:00 That's my normalcy, safety. And so then now you extrapolate that into a relationship with someone where the person is like, I really want to trust you. I really want to love you. And I really want us to make plans together and plan our life together is about this consistency and reliability. Everything that was there. Boom. And very often what happens is the cheater then lets out information in drips and draps. So you got the person who was cheated on going,
Starting point is 00:21:33 tell me this, tell me that. And you got the cheater being like, oh, I'm trying to figure out what to do. All right, let me throw you a bone. They give you a little bit. And, you know, detective mode is now in. They're searching through everything. They're finding more.
Starting point is 00:21:47 They're finding. So it's death by a thousand cuts. It's every day there's more. Yeah. And in a lot of cases with these people, you know, again, not speaking about them, I don't know. But for other people,
Starting point is 00:21:58 usually there's way more. So the woman thought it was one bad thing. And then God forbid, they find out it was someone they knew. The level of embarrassment, the whole world is looking at me. So this is why it's a nightmare. And this is why I started with the first thing out of my mouth was they're both 31. They've probably, I know Joey clearly has never done this work before. He's never been confronted.
Starting point is 00:22:26 I don't know much about his childhood. Most men at that, yeah, most people have not. And then on the other side, you know, Saraya's her first time mom and it's her first kid and it's her first maybe all of this level of. By the way, how old is their kid like a year? Yeah, I think the babies. Which is a whole other layer for, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:45 men dealing with mothers who are postpartum and consistency and supporting them and being there and all of the things. It sucks, bro. And I think she said it because she said during the most fragile and vulnerable parts of my life. So I think probably she was going through severe postpartum. Or pregnancy, whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Or pregnancy or, you know. Listen, I said all this is a day. People really need help, like dealing with these things. And we got to stop acting like it's just easy. We all throw around mental health and therapy and all the keywords. But there's more specific. Yeah, like go look into if you keep recurring, if you keep having these problems over and over again,
Starting point is 00:23:23 like maybe you legitimately have a sex addiction problem. If you're a woman who's been cheated on your whole life has been blown open, you should go look for a therapist who could specifically talk to you about this level of trauma. Like she did. She said it feels. She was saying that women in the moment, the word she used, I thought was fascinating was life-threatening. It feels life-threatening. That's the level of fear that is hitting you like, you're picturing this person doing,
Starting point is 00:23:51 you're like, no, it's impossible. Yeah. So I just hope that for anyone out there, and the same with the, Jed, you're. the owner of the 49ers now his wife like bro for us it's like oh can you believe it the owner cheated with a $140 prostitute he has a family everyone knows the whole world knows he played all of them I know children that will read this and like have to deal with that at school and the repercussions bro when you start digging into the people who are doing I'm not again I don't know jed york but very often you dig into that it wasn't just that it was prostitutes
Starting point is 00:24:26 all the time is the massage parlor. Well, yeah, because if you're willing to go to a trailer park in Ohio, what were you doing when you were back in the Bay? What were you doing at home in San Francisco? I'm sure they got all kinds of freaky-diki options. What was going on? Yo, a trailer park in Ohio is wow. It's so nuts.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Not, why? I just imagine it. Like, oh, my God, it just sounds so much. Was he in Canton? Why were you in Ohio? I don't know why they, do we know what was it? Oh, were they playing Cleveland? I think it was a, were they playing Cleveland?
Starting point is 00:24:58 Did the Niners play Cleveland? Maybe they had a preseason game against Cleveland. Like, why were you in East Palestine, Ohio, bro, at a farm? Like, what are we doing? What's happening? This is what I'm saying. This shit goes deep, bro. No, it's wild, bro.
Starting point is 00:25:11 And we're just, you know, I think even though it's starting to expand and people are starting to understand it. And I'll tell you what, when I met people in that world, the, I felt like a lot of the more well-to-do people were the ones who had these problems the worst. because they've had a lot and so the bar goes up and up of what feels good. Yeah. What was the attorney general that got busted out here?
Starting point is 00:25:34 Spitzer? Spitzer. He had the girls in the suitcases. So that's when I first, a lot started actually being like, oh, this dude is super powerful. So there's some sort of fetish
Starting point is 00:25:47 with, I'm going to do bad shit and see if they could actually take me down, like on some real psychosis shit. Well, guess what? He got the answer. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I mean, congratulations. He found out. He was sneaking the prostitutes out in suitcases, remember? No, he was running a whole ring. He was a part of a ring, bro. It was a whole racky. In suitcases, Rosenberg, I don't remember this part. No, there were humans.
Starting point is 00:26:12 There were humans that would, like, going out of the hotel in a suitcase. That is wild. Like Donald Trump in the dessert cart when they snuck him off the plane. Off the plane. Oh, my God. And by the way, and this also sort of ties in
Starting point is 00:26:24 on a different level to that. story I was telling you. I wonder, I never brought this up, but back to the dessert cart just for a side. Yeah, we really didn't talk much about it. They put his fat ass in a dessert cart. Was there a dessert? I keep thinking, like, was there cheesecake in there? Is that how they convinced them to stay in there?
Starting point is 00:26:36 You know how you get your dog to go into a cave? It's like, sir, we need you going there. There's chocolate pudding in there. There's chocolate pudding, cheesecake, and Big Macs in there. He's like, oh, no problem. I could sit in here for hours. Meanwhile, the whole plane was still full of people. But he snuck off.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Yeah. Anyways. Then there was a story I saw on the New York Post today about this big time lawyer who now looks like he's going to lose the job. I think he was maybe about to go to another big firm, and he's losing it all because he was making out with a junior lawyer at the firm. Now, is he married or so?
Starting point is 00:27:10 I don't think anyone's married. Okay. I don't think. I read the whole article. I didn't say anything about wife. Okay. But what happened was a big streamer. You named Jay Guapo.
Starting point is 00:27:20 All right. Jay Guapo got the scoop. Jay Guapo rolled up. up on them in Central Park and was just like, get a room and put the camera on their face. Oh, not knowing nothing, just on some trolling people kissing in the park. Yeah, just, you know, this is the beautiful society we live in now, just the normal day of content.
Starting point is 00:27:37 And so he's rolling up, pulling a camera out in their face. And they turn around, you see the second they react, because they're not supposed to be doing this or whatever. You know, clearly they should have got a room. Yeah, you know what? His advice was actually correct. That's the ironic part. So now what?
Starting point is 00:27:51 Now they're about to lose, he's about to lose his job. Because of the power imbalance. Exactly. So now the, so now apparently it's all going bad. Let's see. Footage of the Smooch Fest, blah, blah, blah. Why do they always have to use language like that in newspapers? Smooch.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Well, that's New York newspaper. Jay Guapo hollering, get a room. The suit clad man is shown standing up with a smile and trying to shoe the TikToker away. Oh, my God. As his makeout partner calmly tells him to put the phone down. And then Jay Guapo says, don't touch me. Don't touch if you touch me. I'll have to touch you
Starting point is 00:28:26 Meanwhile I went on that guy's page It seems like he's been touched up a few times himself Yes well I was gonna say according to this article on Yahoo Apparently the lawyer is married Oh yeah He is married So that's still not reason to be fired though is well It could be conduct
Starting point is 00:28:46 Conduct issues detrimental to you know Regarding his position at work now But technically he's not doing it at work. Well, no, but they work together. Yeah, yeah. They work together. And so I think the corporate responsible thing to do is if you are working with someone and you guys are like on the same level at the job. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:11 You can let people at the job, the HR, whoever compliance people say, hey, we're dating. That's like clean. You absolutely have to do it if somebody's a level below you like, hey, you know, we're dating this person. I'm dating a junior person. It's like all on the up and up. Would they usually keep you guys like separate? Yeah, it's not like they got to keep you separate.
Starting point is 00:29:34 It's just letting it's it's it's transparency. So if there is a breakup, one person like in this case, the junior person can't say I was taking advantage of or whatever at my job by somebody who had more power. And I thought that, you know, I should do this. because it might jeopardize my ability to, you know, move up in my position.
Starting point is 00:29:56 So this, the article, this is a big time firm. The article is also just about like big money because he's apparently a big shot at a big ass firm. Yeah. To which if he is in fact married, it's such a gigantic congratulations. You played yourself. Yo, in 2026, you can't just go make out with your affair partner in Central Park. No. Like that's not.
Starting point is 00:30:18 You can't hide in plain sight. No. There's no plain sight. Like, oh, it's risky, we're outside. We should be fine. Like, people are out here just streaming their whole life walking around. Like, what are you doing? It's all type of things.
Starting point is 00:30:30 It's, what are you doing? But even, in the full suit. And you say it's the biggest congrats because you say it's a biggest congrats. Why? Because his wife's going to take him for, you know, whatever. No, just meaning, I first, when I read it, didn't realize he was married. I thought they were just in trouble because of the working thing together, which is one level of congrats.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Yeah. But if you were also married and that was your way of cheating on your wife is in Central Central Park. I mean, has the word central in it, bro. Hit the button. Congratulations. You plagued yourself. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:30:58 All right. People, again, though, these choices, bro. I'm willing to guess this is not his first time around the block. He keeps calling people, bro. Well, and, and, like, once again, you know, him and his wife could be on the outs. Maybe they're in the process of a divorce, and that's not public yet. Maybe they live, who knows? You don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:31:16 You don't know that part. You don't know what's going on. I will, let me just also say, I don't, I'd be remiss if I didn't also. mention what losers we are that like this sort of content this is now rewarded as something to do well like i'm gonna go like like you're a loser what what what no relationship stuff remember telenovelas and relationship drama why do you do this only because only because it's i'm more looking at the human and what we consume the people consume it no no no people can't resist seeing yeah yeah yeah but to make the choice as a human to walk up to other humans with
Starting point is 00:31:51 your phone and just go get a room and put your phone in your face like I understand it's rewarded by the algorithm it's still weirdo behavior yeah no just because it gets views I'm not gonna normalize it that's weird yeah listen we did a whole thing on first amendment auditors with Kevin or Tegar Ruhas on ELR news there you go drops every Friday we were trying to think I was trying to understand it was very new to me Rassan actually had a little bit more info on it so I understand the people who go and like shoot cops to make sure that they're not you know Violating rights or ICE agents.
Starting point is 00:32:23 But when I see these people who are, you, they have a lot of followers. I just go up to like random people in the streets. Like, and then their whole thing, it's a public place. I can film you. I can have the phone in your face. You add these little things up. It's, it's.
Starting point is 00:32:38 And they just want a reaction. So you either walk away or you get out of my face. And that's exactly what they want. I told you guys the other week, somebody just took a picture in front of me with me standing in the back. And they just like leaned in front of their camera. And I was like on a phone call. And maybe I,
Starting point is 00:32:51 I was like looking down, fixing my pants and the person just posed in front of me like while I was standing in front of my office. They mugged you. Is that what that's called? I don't know. And then took a photo and I just looked at the camera and gave like finger guns and didn't, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:04 it's like whatever. And people have definitely put cameras in my face before and I'll be like, yo, what's up, my gee? What you're trying to do, man? What you're doing? But like that, but that's, again, weirdo behavior. Posing with someone just in the background, unless you're at an event, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:33:19 Like, if I'm at, if I'm at, SummerSlam and I'm in the parking lot in my suit with a microphone and someone's like oh oh oh well I was a member the other day we were at the parking garage and a guy was like yo my wife really loves you guys can you give a video for her and he wanted me to just talk
Starting point is 00:33:35 to his camera as if I was like doing a drop for like I don't know his radio show and I was like no you got to get in the thing with me yeah you you felt more comfortable with him being the thing with you I think either way is weird well no it was for his wife though no no but for
Starting point is 00:33:51 And from the person who has to do it, it's still awkward. Like no matter how you cut it like, hi stranger, I don't know, you know, like it is an awkward, you try your best. And you did good, you dragged me into it. It was one of the, you know, it was a time. Well, it was, I started to not. And then I was like, but he's on the show too
Starting point is 00:34:07 and he's standing right there. Why wouldn't you do that? Why not give you the whole added value? Well, listen, normally, normally I'd be like, oh man, why didn't they want anything for me? In this case, I was like, let me just pay my ticket. Get the hell out of here. And he rose for him for her.
Starting point is 00:34:20 He's right here. See, I got caught. I didn't know what to do. When people are nice, I'll do it all the time. No, for sure. All the time. He was nice, though. He was nice.
Starting point is 00:34:29 He was totally nice guy. To me, the issue is the idea of people taking photos or videos with it being unknowing to people. Like, that's, like, yeah. And we've been telling y'all this for years. We've been telling y'all this for years. Listen, bro, and I like to bring this up every once in a while just to remind people. There is no world.
Starting point is 00:34:51 where you're going to yell at me from a distance. Yeah. And ask me to come to you. It's not going to work. It can't happen. It's not going to work. And I, and by the way, yo, Ebro, come in. No.
Starting point is 00:35:03 You know, they remember the member of MSG that time? Who the fuck is you talking to, don't you? No, they will do, they will yell, come here. It's great. Come here. What? I wouldn't let you talk to bear like that. Are you talking to me?
Starting point is 00:35:15 What? It's crazy. No, it's nuts. Remember the guy grabbed me at the resort? I told you. He grabbed my arm. What's your name? Bitch, what?
Starting point is 00:35:24 What are you doing? Oh my gosh. I was like, no. And normally I would be polite about that, except you just grab my arm. You don't know who I am. So leave me alone. Imagine going up to, I just can't.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Can someone in the chat or call us, A44, ELR, ELR 3. Call us. If you've ever done this, can you explain the logic of you're not exactly sure who the person is, but you're just going to take a shot? Like, I would never, my brain.
Starting point is 00:35:51 I think we've all had time. We think someone's an athlete. They're tall. They have, I'm like, I think that's like a nick or something. Yeah, but I'm not going to go like this. Who are you again? What do you do? The wrestlers get it all the time.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Oh, they must get it. What do you do? You're somebody. I am. I am. No, my favorite is anybody told you you look like Ebro? No, I hate that one. Why are we doing that?
Starting point is 00:36:15 And you know what I respond with? All the time. By the way, that is, I like that. All the time. But are they, so they're doing it to test it. Yes, that's their way of figuring it out. And I'll be like, yo, all the time. They'll be like, really?
Starting point is 00:36:29 Literally every day. Oh, every day. No, I've done the same exact same line. Because otherwise you're forced to go. So here's what happens. So one happened recently. It was very sweet and positive, but still awkward. I'm at a bagel.
Starting point is 00:36:42 I'm at a breakfast spot in Boston, which was amazing, by the way. I want them to open one here. Like healthy breakfast, but fire. Delicious food. I cannot remember. Damn it. They're never going to open it. But I loved it.
Starting point is 00:36:52 See if you shouted it out, maybe it would open it. And this guy comes up to me and he goes, yo, I know you from somewhere. And I was like, I don't know. He's like, you come in here a lot? I was like, definitely not. And he's like, so now I'm in the situation where you go, I either have to be sort of an a-ho and make you feel stupid.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Where like I just leave you. Well, what was it tone? No, no, friendly. He's being friendly. But no, but hear me out. It's either I leave you an alert where you're trying to figure it out, or I go, well, I'm Peter Rosenberg, and you may know my work from. Like, I'm, it's Dan, if you now turned out, wrestling fan.
Starting point is 00:37:35 So what I do, well, no, so what I do, usually in that situation, people be like, yo, where do I know you from? I'll be like, could be a number of places. I'm on the internet a lot. People clip my stuff. You might be seen on Instagram. They're like, what do you do? Right.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I'm like, well, a lot. stuff different. You don't just pull out a card? No, I don't go here. Let me show you my Instagram page. You follow for follow? You need to have people scanning your QR code to follow the channel. Yo, scan your QR code.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah. But anyways, I will say this, though. I don't have any arrests on my record. So if someone were to do that to me, like run up with a camera in my face, like, aggressively, I'm down to catch a first charge. You, you're there. No, no. If someone were to be, no, if someone were to be offensive, like the way, the tone that
Starting point is 00:38:22 the dude has and the thing when he comes up. Let's say I'm making out with Natalie in the park. And someone comes up and is like, hey, get a room. What's wrong with you? I just want to be clear, like, I'm down to take the first. You want to go? No. Why not?
Starting point is 00:38:35 I don't think that's the one. You would do it, though. No, not at that one. No, no, no. I would absolutely do it. But not for that one. No, no, if you say, hey, my man, if you give them the hey, my man, let's chill out.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Chill, I'm chilling with my life. And now it keeps going. You're not potentially escalating that? I might walk off first. I might walk away. Because remember, you got to bait them into a situation where self-defense. Right, right. That's what Natalie would always remind me.
Starting point is 00:38:57 You have to get them into a situation where now I feel threatened, so I broke your job. You know what I'm saying? You're accosting me. Because then he has video of you of being the aggressor. You know what I mean? That's what you got to remember. And you got a certain language you got to use, man. What's the language you got to use?
Starting point is 00:39:15 I feel threatened. I feel really threatened right now. Please back away. You're in my space. You're in my space. and I'm feeling threatened. That's right. If you could back off.
Starting point is 00:39:23 But they're like, now I'm here, I'm allowed to film, E, bro. Did you feel threatened when you did what you did to a little Uzi, Verton, Kodak? In Saigon.
Starting point is 00:39:31 I bet Kodak felt threatened. I bet he did. And then what? And then I might say you work for him or you just sucking dick. Oh, you know me. Now you're just a cock sucker. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:39:43 So you suck rapper dick for a living. Now you're waiting for them to throw. All right. And now you're prepared. Well, I think we have someone on the line, guys. Oh, okay. Hassani, he actually has snapped at somebody.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Oh, Hassani. Hassan, who'd you? Hassani. Hassani. What's up? Yo, who'd you snap at, man? Why are you snapping? Well, I met Joe Torres at the airport.
Starting point is 00:40:06 We were leaving at Westchester, and I saw the guy, and I was like, I think I know this guy, and I let it be. And then when we landed, I called him at the car rental counter. I'm like, I'm sorry, sir. I hate to do this. Oh, but see, that's nice. That's not snapping. I was a guy on Channel 7.
Starting point is 00:40:18 and but you know and then he pulls for a picture for me and my family and my girls That's clean though I was like I didn't grab his arm But I did say excuse me But I was like You were that guy
Starting point is 00:40:28 And I'm snapping my fingers Like you're gonna say Mesaire He's like yeah What's my name I was like uh is it Torres And he's like yeah Joe Torres I was like I was like I told my wife
Starting point is 00:40:38 But we didn't want to bother you And he's the man alone You try See I think And listening to him You know what Thank you Hassani for you call Man I appreciate it
Starting point is 00:40:46 It's clean except for the finger snapping in his face. Well, so I think there's, I think it's an emotional thing where people are like, ah, well, ah, it's not intended to be rude. Like, I'm stepping at you. It's not. It's not. They're trying to get their brain going.
Starting point is 00:41:01 No, you're 100% right. I'm not saying they're bad people. I'm just saying it's a, the person who you're doing it to, it's very awkward. Yeah. You're putting them in an awkward spot. Yeah. Like in the case of me at the resort, I just walked out of the gym. I have headphones on.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Why are you grabbing my arm and the grab is, the grab is a whole other level. That's white. That's a whole other level. The white people want, it's always more aggressive. It's always a grab. I need your time. Well, so there is a social. Can you come live at my house?
Starting point is 00:41:27 Black people and Spanish people generally, literally hit me with like a Rosenberg as they're walking by. That's a cultural thing. No, it's the most. So culturally black and Spanish people, black and brown people specifically are, we are very much about personal space. Well, no, and I don't think society has told you that you have the right to everything that you come up to. There's, then there's that, the privilege part. White people just are like, yo, I see you. I'm going to take your time now for whatever I can.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Because white people see things they want and they just take it. It's in the culture. Well, society has said it's yours. Go for it. Society, I mean, hundreds of years this has been happening. It would be like, yo, we discovered this place. There's people here. Will you be my pet?
Starting point is 00:42:07 You should be my pet. You should work for me for free. Whereas I just. And your children, I should be able to sell. Oh, God. But no, I do think there's a cultural thing in it. There is some cultural learning in there for sure. I live it, I live it, bro.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Because even at concerts, right, I was at the Olivia Dean concert with my entire family. And it's a mixed crowd. The white people, especially the white women, will run right through you on their way to a thing and not say excuse me. Oh, yeah. They do this thing where they hold hands and they're trying to get to a destination and they just barrel through people. And I've only seen white women do this. Yeah, I believe that. And I'm like, you could, we would have moved if you would have said, excuse me.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Right, right. Right. What is that? I know. I don't. It needs to be discussed. Yeah, it's definitely true at concerts and stuff like that. I do not get it.
Starting point is 00:42:59 I cannot imagine, you know, people pushing through you at an event like that without any acknowledgement is insane. It's insane. And it happens all the time. It happens a lot. And I think it is mostly white. Yes. That's been my experience.
Starting point is 00:43:13 Because even if there are people, you know, black or brown people trying to get through they're like excuse me excuse me they'll put their hand on you a little bit first you'll turn and they'll be like I'm trying to get that well that's what I would do right if I desperately need to get through there's an excuse me I'm so sorry so sorry so sorry so sorry people are weird bro people are weird as evidence also by we did our follow up from yesterday's beef story the comments in the on the Nis Cantor story were were interesting as well enous canter you were very I don't know what you were surprised I didn't see I saw what you saw but then I saw a lot of people being like you guys sound stupid.
Starting point is 00:43:49 And you're talking about on Instagram. Yeah. Yeah. No, there were enough. There were like a good amount of people saying you're stupid. But there were a lot of people who were just like, nah, y'all are wrong on this one. It was just like the, hey, I'm normally on your side. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:05 But not on this one. But what's going back to the thing. Enis. Enis? I like Enis. Enis. What is it really? I think it's Enis.
Starting point is 00:44:16 And it's. Cantor, is now saying he was in an interview, you sent over to Lou saying he's a woman. Well, he, you know, he specifically is like, identifying him? I identify as a woman because, you know, so I can play in the league, right? And so I did see people in the comments saying he's protecting women. And women saying protecting from what? Like, there's no current issue taking place. Then I saw people saying, well, no, he's pushing this issue so that there can be some policy
Starting point is 00:44:46 written where you have to be of a certain thing a certain uh genetic makeup to be in the w nba but at the game where he's antagonizing women at work and no one and no one there is currently trans nor is either team exploring bringing in a trans player correct and so i said it was a provocative t-shirt and a lot of people in the comments like wow rosembourg provocative it just says you know woman human female or whatever and I'm like yeah bro that's exactly what that was that was an intentionally
Starting point is 00:45:21 wearing a shirt that explains what a woman is to women to women is intentionally provocative so him doing that to these women he is basically just attacking them it has nothing to do with them and by the way it's in the midst of the dildo's getting thrown at them
Starting point is 00:45:38 all this other stuff they're dealing with and he has to show up and make a whole thing out of it and then go, well, I'm protecting women. Now, to be- No, you're really just putting a spotlight on yourself. That's it. And attacking these people. And distracting from the fact that the WNBA
Starting point is 00:45:54 is having the most successful WMBA season in its 30-year history currently right now. Like 200-plus games have been nationally televised. Merch sales are up like 60%. Sellouts are up some crazy. Just for the record, that's what's happening. We're going to look back at this period of time and there will be documentaries on,
Starting point is 00:46:14 the last couple of years and the next couple of years of the WMBA, that these are the years it exploded and became the first women's professional sport in the U.S. That was like a real juggernaut. In the world. And in the world. It will be, this is the story of that, and we're just seeing the different pushback of that. Well, and it's interesting, if you look at any marginalized group, when they start having their moment for the thing that they worked really hard for,
Starting point is 00:46:42 the group that represents the majority always inserts themselves. I mean, the dildo throwing things just started recently. No, it came. It was last year and it came back. Well, that's what I mean recently. Oh, yeah, yeah. It wasn't five years ago.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Yeah, it wasn't five years ago. Yes, that's what I mean by recent. Yes. And recently is when WMBA has been on fire. Yes. So I, well, and let's be honest. To your point.
Starting point is 00:47:06 It's not based on what we've seen so far, it's not black men. It's not Latino men. it's not Asian men it's not Muslims right it's white men who are throwing dildos
Starting point is 00:47:23 and causing problems do they know that they're white I mean I assume are we assuming that or have we seen them no that's what people when people are pointing to people who have gotten in trouble they're all white dudes I mean I'm not shocked by them that is what I would I mean it's not like there's 50 people who have been throwing dildos
Starting point is 00:47:38 but the reason you're pointing that out is you're saying the majority group the group that back to the privilege convo about people just barreling through people at concerts or the group that feels like everything is theirs or everything needs to be about them it's the same group right what is our way to get by the way enous canter is a Muslim yeah but he didn't throw a dildo he just is a dildo right same scenes and now so so then then a secondary conversation happens which is and this is where it gets confusing because all these people act like complete a-holes but then there's the
Starting point is 00:48:12 separate conversation well no no But seriously, but what to do about trans players in the league? Which is a reasonable conversation to have if it were a thing that were coming up. Like there's supposedly a trans player overseas right now who's like crushing it. And the prospect of that player attempting to play in the WNBA could become a conversation. Sure. If that were to present itself, is there a reasonable conversation to be had about what make sense for the league's bylaws and how they do it.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Sure. Sure. Let's not pretend that's what this is. That's not what this is. This is just bullying trans people. That's all this is. Yeah. This is a consistent,
Starting point is 00:48:57 this is now going back to the Chappelle specials a few years ago, bro. It's like people just love bullying the trans community. But that's what the whole protest that was outside the Fart and Clay Center. Like all those people that were out there protesting, protecting women sports, and none of them knew shit about women sports or cared. No, they don't care. All they want to do is bully trans people and make sure a trans. I want to, to your point yesterday, like, where is it happening?
Starting point is 00:49:19 Where are the trans athletes who are dominating the sport? I still haven't seen it in America. Where is that becoming a thing? It's not a thing. So that's why this whole thing is effed up. So people are honest, and I get it. They're conservative people who are confused by trans stuff. Well, there's also just people who, they're slippery slope types of people.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Like they see an incident, right? and they automatically jump to the worst case scenario. That's just how they wired. Right. Right. Like you see, we see it all the time. Like, you know,
Starting point is 00:49:51 even like the crazy people who are like walking around New York and they see, you know, a taxi cab driver praying or a group of taxi cab drivers praying on their rugs. And they're like, the Muslims are taking over New York. What are we going to do?
Starting point is 00:50:07 The whole Islamic invasion thing is... You see what I'm saying? Like, they jump all the way to... something that's just not there or even like what we're on the precipice of the league is joanna man now they think joanna man is happening in real life or we're on the precipice of this whole of the celebration and remembrance of not celebration but remembrance of nine 11 and the whole like mom donnie can't come because he's Muslim as if there weren't Muslims in new york city who were weren't you know were affected by nine 11 like there was there's been like what do we talk what are you talking
Starting point is 00:50:41 about man like that's just that should That's just bigotry and hate. That's all it is. And if you think it's not, you're bugging. Like you're really, really, and as we discussed earlier with the sex addiction and all these other issues, you need to go see someone. You really need to go see a professional and say, hey, why do I feel this way about this thing? Because I had a bad experience or I saw a news report or whatever the thing is that's your trigger. You need to go figure that out.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Like you really need to go through that. Now, in defense of people being stupid, listen, the U.S. is marketing of a lot of this stuff has been great our whole life, right? Like teaching people that Middle Eastern groups who are not Israel are terrorists has been, that's the marketing for our entire lives. And so maybe that's why, maybe that's why so many people need to go see someone about this. Or go visit and learn. Oh, no, we're Americans.
Starting point is 00:51:37 We don't really like to learn. So that's a problem. But, you know, go seek help. you would think but you know one thing about the trans community I'll tell you this because I have friends in the trans community there's layers right one thing that unites people and this is across racism religion is homophobia they're all in right and then trans folks have to deal with that homophobia and then actual gay folks who don't like trans people so there's like layers well yeah because to be trans is not really at all about being gay yeah like like you
Starting point is 00:52:11 Like, I understand why they're on the same thing, the LGBT, I understand why it's together, but like it's pretty different. It's just that regular- LGB doesn't always rock with T. No, but why would they? I mean like, I don't mean in like they're justified. But I mean, why would they
Starting point is 00:52:29 and that there's really not that much in common necessarily between T and LGBT? There could be, but it could have nothing to do with that. But the bottom line of society just has, They have figured out the right again. They're the best at it. They have figured out we can unite people in their hatred of trans people because that really scares people.
Starting point is 00:52:51 So we can get all kinds of people riled up around this issue. Right. So they could convert, you know, like you're saying, all different ethnic groups would likely lean into voting for a candidate, right, or voting for someone who is very staunchly against this. thing that's a made up thing right at a time when the GOP literally needs to get their numbers up it's perfect like they need their numbers they did the same thing with abortion they did the same thing with you know black people they always use some but this one's even more remarkable because
Starting point is 00:53:27 those are real issues right like black people in their rights is a real active thing abortion rights is i'm not saying the trans issue isn't a real issue it certainly is for a very small percentage of the population but it's made out to be like Like it's everywhere. Like, I don't know anyone who at least is openly trans. I don't. I'm 46. I'm not saying I've never communicated with someone who's trans.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Of course I have. But, like, I don't know one in my circle that I've ever known has openly transitioned or any of those things. I would be supportive if that's what their choice was. But it's made, and I am a snowflake, libtard Jew bag from New York City. Yeah, but that's like the same way. So think about how small worked like in Montana. No, but that's the same way. Where is this hitting them in their lives?
Starting point is 00:54:16 That's the same. But that's the same way. Do you know anybody that's lost their job to an immigrant? No. Do you know anybody that's like, you know, adversely affected because black people could have the right to vote? No. Do you know, has abortion ever affected your family in a way that's like something
Starting point is 00:54:39 you want to staunchly make sure people don't have the right to do? Oh, no, no, no. The other way, though, but at least with that one, you know people who've had abortions and it was good for their life that they were able to. And if they didn't have that right, but anyway, we ran through two big issues where you're like, what? There's people watching right now. You're the only Jewish person they know.
Starting point is 00:55:00 And yet it's their, but it's in their news cycle every day. Yeah. They don't know anyone from Israel. All they know is their tax dollars go there and they don't like it. Yeah, you know. That's that. You see what I'm saying? All of it.
Starting point is 00:55:13 So, yeah, you could say, yeah, the trans thing is a super small thing, but it's also people, listen, people who do this for a living, they know the easiest way to scare people is by telling them something that they don't understand. Fear is based in lack of understanding. So you take something like people are transitioning from being men to being women. What in the world is going? Women are becoming men. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:55:43 Of course. They're telling, it's called a birth parent now. Like not just a birth mother? Cisgender? What? This is all stuff that people are just learning for the first time and they are afraid. And so they take that fear of people having, you know, a lack of education, lack of information, lack of understanding, lack of exposure.
Starting point is 00:56:07 and they exacerbate that and that's how they create that's how this stuff is created but it's dangerous like you know one of the comments that annoyed me yesterday about the subject was oh there's
Starting point is 00:56:19 there's this go you know there's Flint and there's Puerto Rico and there's all these issues why are you wasting your time on this and it's like no what Ennis Cantor is doing is dangerous to that community but also it's not either or we can multitasked
Starting point is 00:56:37 of course By the way, and we do every day. Every day. So just because you don't think this issue is important, we have seen the danger. And again, back to how small the trans community is. It is a small community. So putting this gigantic target on this community's back is effed up.
Starting point is 00:56:55 And this has happened repeatedly. They are a political football. Just like Jews are very often too. But Jews don't have to operate in the same sort of fear, or at least I don't as a Jew in New York, as I would if I were a trans person in America at this point where somehow every time someone gets assassinated
Starting point is 00:57:11 the first thing I'm hearing is that the person supposedly trans? Get. Come on, bro. Yo, that get right there you just did was the Nas get down. Get down. That's the James Brown get. Get down. Get down.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Yeah, it's almost the beginning of dropping science. There you go. We ready for Ebony McMorris? Our White House correspondent down in D.C. Yes, Ebony. Ebony. How are you this morning?
Starting point is 00:57:39 What's going on, y'all? I'm doing good. How y'all doing? We're just covering the goings on and want to know if you have any insight on this 300,000 tons of beef that's your co-worker up there, Donald Trump. Co-workers, what you're going with forever. I mean, they work at the same place. Okay, got it. Sure.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Let me tell you something. I don't know if any time I'll come on and speak with you guys and there is going to be any piece that I tried to give you. But this is absolutely ridiculous what is coming outside, coming out of this White House and how catamarchers are going to be affected. How is, again, going to drive up your cause. I'm actually talking again with John Boyd later over a Black Farmers Association to talk about the fallout behind this. I mean, we're talking about farmers who are already suffering in many ways. Again, who is going to inherit the cost of this? And the president doesn't seem to care, but he keeps shifting the gold post, talking about other things.
Starting point is 00:58:42 We got increased tariffs on Canada. Canada is now saying, I'll match you dollar for dollar. Who is that going to affect when you get a car, when you're looking for lumber? Well, and Ebony, just yesterday and into this morning for anybody, we didn't cover it here, but I don't know if Laura and Rosenberg, you guys are paying attention to the relationship between the United States and Canada and how we slapped like 50% tariffs on things coming from them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:07 And then they have a retaliatory tariff that they're putting in place and then Trump this morning said that he was going to put another tariff on auto parts coming out of Canada. And then on his social media accused Canada of ripping off American farmers for generations, not centuries,
Starting point is 00:59:25 but generations or decades or whatever he said. But at any rate, it also should be noted that here in the United States, as Ebony just pointed out, Our foreign policy as well as domestic policy has been ruining farms and farmers for the last, what, 10 years? The first Trump administration, Mad Farms went out of business. And in this administration, they're saying upwards of like, I think it's like seven. I don't know if it was seven or 70 farms a month have been going out of business.
Starting point is 00:59:55 So it's some crazy stat with regard to farms. Ebony? And farm suicides are going up. When you're talking about beef, we were talking about record prices, beef running around $7 a pound. That's 57% higher than just five years ago. I mean, Americans going to have to change the period, right? But the root of the supply is cattle hurt has really been shrinking over a period of time. And Trump's fix for this was this plan allowing this tons of tariff-free,
Starting point is 01:00:33 ground beef imports, meaning foreign beefs won't trigger supposedly out of quota tariffs that normally kick on on a certain volume as it enters into the country. But there's a huge backlash because of it. Immediate pushback, immediate pushback from the people that you say are trying to help, which is cattle ranch producers and Republicans, because don't forget this is hitting, of course, red states the hardest in this. And the cattle association said, you don't put America first by putting it. US cattle producers last.
Starting point is 01:01:05 That's facts. Yep. Well, and it should be noted that, you know, and we played a clip earlier on the show where people are now speculating that the 300,000 tons of beef is the rejected beef that Argentina tried to send to China, that China would not take because of an antibiotic that's in it. And now they're going to allow it to enter the United States of America, which the antibiotic, Laura, you were saying that it has, it's like it causes some sort of blood issues.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Some kind of blood disease. Yeah, it's a specific antibiotic. Sorry, I don't have it in front of me. But I read that it causes like a blood disorder. So, which is super wild. China said, no, we cannot have this for our people, but it's okay for ours. Well, yeah, the math on it, according to what a clip we played earlier was basically like there's nowhere on earth that has 1.5 million. 1.2 million heads of cattle.
Starting point is 01:01:58 Extra cattle just sitting to him, which would be the 300,000 tons of. of meat. And so it must be this rejected meat coming from that China would not take. That was the customers. It was about 22 tons of a beef shipment that, uh, from an Argentine plant that China and back in March of 2026 had rejected. And as you said, it was found to be contaminated. Listen, guys, go to your local butcher, put something in the freezer. Because you know where this goes. This goes into the fast food system. Oh, yeah, it goes into the, you know, the cheap stuff goes into the fast food system. Evan, let me ask you, we are like, you know, 30 months away from this hellscape, maybe ending.
Starting point is 01:02:46 What scares you the most of all the issues out here that potentially face us with two and a half years of Trump left? Is there one thing that scares you the most? Yeah. People siding for the couch as opposed to going to vote. Also, people not voting early. This is an administration that has tried to do everything and will continue to try to do everything to undermine the vote, to keep suppressing the vote.
Starting point is 01:03:17 And I am nervous and fearful that people will decide not to vote and vote early. And more than that is that even those who do, that we'll see even greater numbers of people finding out that their name has been kicked off voter rolls. Those are the things that I'm concerned about. And that's why we have been pushing and talking to our audience about making sure that you do early voting. This is an administration. And we talked about this last week that has been wanting to end mail in ballots, although he has done it himself. And so, I mean, my concern, many of these issues that we are having and have been experiencing is because Americans, the 90 million that we saw before, they decided to sit
Starting point is 01:04:02 down. Do not do that or else we will be having the same conversation and not just the same conversation. We will be complaining about other issues and it is sometimes at the death of Americans who are having to suffer with high prices from groceries, from prescriptions, from the cost of living, housing, wages. I mean, it is astounding the amount of things that this administration has cut and not only cut that cut agencies that help to oversee regulation agencies to try and make sure no way do we have a perfect system before but that's honestly what has what every day daily is heavy on my heart how this administration is trying to steal the vote um Ebony um you know on those issues and and um how it affects you know poorer people Gary Indiana has been uh you know without power
Starting point is 01:05:01 for what two weeks now which is 20 minutes from Chicago yeah 15 days you have been keeping up with the mayor of Gary Indiana and what's going on there what information can you give us um yesterday you know the mayor even put out a statement said we need help now but 15 days I had a long conversation actually with council member at large Miles Tolliver he didn't hold back when I spoke with him directly And he called this negligence on the count of Nipsco, right, who is over the utilities. His words to me is that their systems were outdated transformers, vegetation management. They hadn't been looking at. They were supposed to have handled many of these issues that would not have caused this outage.
Starting point is 01:05:46 As of this morning, there were still thousands of people without power. And when he described it to me, he was like he's angry because city management, they've been on the ground, right? going to residents trying to figure out what to do and how to help. And he said, Ebony, we've got seniors that are like on the third, fourth level of buildings who have not had power, who need to plug up things for their medicine, for respirators, for things that they need.
Starting point is 01:06:13 He said, and so, and he said, and don't forget, while I may have had to, I've been able to throw out my food, you've got seniors who literally had to have that food rot inside. Can you imagine the smell that they're having to face? He said, and so we've been boots on the ground, Healy. The mayor, Mayor Melton, has absolutely been in the community when his own family's been suffering. He's like, this is a man who has literally had put city before family and gone home to
Starting point is 01:06:38 his own home being in the dark. And so I just, all transparency, my family, I've got family from Gary, Indiana. I talk with my dad and see, you know, who have we spoken with? Have we been in contact with everyone? Everyone we have not. And so this is, this is a shame. And what makes it even worse is that, of course, you're seeing this. Gary was the last to begin to get power back. 75% of black community. 75% this is, I don't, I will never say this is a coincidence. And so what is happening with Nipsco? The governor has also spoke out. He declared an emergency. There's been one on the state level, but waiting to see with the federal response, how much money is going to be released there.
Starting point is 01:07:21 I reached out to the White House myself to figure out what aid. I haven't heard that. I haven't heard the president speaking about that at all. Trying to figure out, I asked Councilmember Tolover, has he heard directly from FEMA? He said it's still been hard for them to get a lot of information. It is ridiculous that this is happening. And so what he is calling for and many council members is full accountability, a full assessment with Nipsco. Every line inspected, every transformer replaced, even the area's vegetation that were supposed to be cleared that have not been cleared and so I'm like okay well where you guys we always
Starting point is 01:08:01 say every week follow the money trail in this nipsco why why have you failed these people in this area and when it comes to natural disasters why was there not a contingency plan put in place well with the answer is because they're poor and black and nipsco is a privately run isn't that a privately run uh energy and power supply that you know the state basically subsidizes uh to to to do the work, which, by the way, is not uncommon, right? Many, many cities, local and state level, you know, offload that responsibility to private companies. Same thing here in New York City, right, where there's a contract with a company. Some of these companies have monopolies. I think Nipsco has a monopoly in Indiana, correct? Like, they do, I think they control the
Starting point is 01:08:48 entire state. Fifty-four different counties. And here's a thing. They're still building customers. So when I was speaking with councilmember Tyler, he said, Ebony, you got to realize the first of the month is right around the corner. That's right. So now you're going to deal with the payment, your rent payments. So that seems like the first order. Like if my power has not been on for 15 days, half the month, you're not charging. You're not billing me for that. So that should be like the first order of business where the government steps in and says you can't charge people for these days.
Starting point is 01:09:20 You would think. Now, I mean, that just feels like that's what people need to be held accountable to. I think the next piece goes into pointing out how the infrastructure hasn't been maintained, but you've still been billing individuals. Now, in Memphis right now, I believe that they've had, which is another black city, they have had about 25,000 residents without power for a few days, and that story is building also because now people are watching these poor blacker cities deal with the fact that the local municipalities and governments aren't making sure things
Starting point is 01:09:55 are taking care of. Same thing we pay attention to in Puerto Rico, where you have an island of individuals, where they have the resources and the materials to go fix things, but they're not fixing it because they want to displace people. So you've got to look at Gary, Indiana. Once again, 20 minutes, a bridge ride away from Chicago. Right?
Starting point is 01:10:17 When we follow the money, what it says to me is they want these people to leave because that's prime real estate. So they can make things uncomfortable, consistently, not upgrade things consistently. Eventually people leave. Wealthier people buy up the property for cheap, and then they sell it and rename it, I don't know, West Chicago or East Chicago or Bridgeport, Indiana or some other name
Starting point is 01:10:41 like they do here in New York City where now it's so bro. Right. Hey, Ebony, last thing for me, is anybody going to ask this administration if they have noticed the hangings of black men in North Carolina and if there's any concern. Sorry, people. So let me say, because people always ask me about,
Starting point is 01:11:01 so I'll tell you, I've got questions. People always ask, why aren't I hearing this or why is no reporter asking this question? And so I just want people to understand that when, for instance, do you see reporters standing around in the Oval, aside from the pool, let me just first say,
Starting point is 01:11:20 the amount of black reporters you have in there is extremely slim and not just that those who care about those issues that are covering that on their headline is also slim as well. So the reason why you're not hearing that sometimes is not because we're not in there yelling that question. It is because the president is not going to call on you even if you yell that question out. But absolutely, that's a question. I'll be doing full coverage this week and that is a question that I'll be yelling out that. that on that question on the disaster response in Indiana and so many other issues. But if you were waiting to see something that you feel like is going to sue your soul or an answer,
Starting point is 01:12:04 you are not going to get it. And in fact, they'll probably pivot to something else. So whatever answer you think you're going to get, you're not going to get from this administration. Listen, this nation, a nation that has a history of hanging black people,
Starting point is 01:12:20 could not get, Congress to pass a law that hanging someone is a hate crime. Yes. So as black individuals who are traumatized by the headline and the news and the history,
Starting point is 01:12:43 we as builders of this nation cannot even get white folks to understand that when black people are hanged, it should be a hate crime. Now, if you spray paint a bad word on a wall, hate crime. Spray paint an unlike symbol on a wall.
Starting point is 01:13:08 Hate crime. Hang a human being. Nah, not so much. A confederate flag, which represents traitors. and a segment of the population that wanted to keep slavery. Those flags, good to go, not a hate crime. So just so we're keeping it, if you keep a score at home, go ahead, Ebony, I'm sorry. No, I was going to say, and don't forget this Department of Justice,
Starting point is 01:13:36 don't forget who we are dealing with men, and when it came to issues of hate against black people, there are a lot of cases that this department is not dealing with. There are a lot of cases that this department has done away with. And so that's why I'm saying, that's your expectations. That's why voting matters because when you elect your president, your president also puts people into offices and they go before and they go over Congress as well. Right. And so this is what we have in our department of justice.
Starting point is 01:14:10 No justice. No justice. There you go. Thanks, Ebony. Thank you. Good luck. God bless you. Thank you for your time and your work.
Starting point is 01:14:18 And keep going. We'll see you next week. Absolutely. Y'all take care. All right, take care. I'm upset. We didn't, I just saw the videos popping up of Kwanza Jones. We need to.
Starting point is 01:14:31 We need to. I'm a Padres fan. I don't know about Joe. I'm a rock my Tony Gwynn tomorrow. I need to, I want to see the video, though. The San Diego Fathers, I'm down. And it's a black woman that owns it. And a Puerto Rican man.
Starting point is 01:14:45 And a Puerto Riga, let's go. But like, white, get ready, guys. White fits are going to be happening. Why? Because we never seen anything like this before. A black woman sitting at the podium of a major sports organization as the owner. Talking her talk. I haven't even heard her talk yet, but I'm seeing her energy in the video.
Starting point is 01:15:06 I'm like, oh, white people are about to lose their mom. Listen, maybe, maybe they won't. With the, with the progressive sports. sport known as baseball. Congratulations. You played yourself. Yo, I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 01:15:20 I love it. I'm very interesting. Do we have any Quanza Jones? You got any Quanza Jones and your Serrado over there? Rissan? I sent it over. We'll do it tomorrow. Follow her on Instagram, too.
Starting point is 01:15:31 She has an Instagram account, too. Yeah, yeah. I've been following her for a while when there was, like, rumors of this happened. I was like, who was this lady? Her and her husband, and he's like a finance guy. They've been together since college. Something like that.
Starting point is 01:15:41 So that's where, you know, and she in her own regard was like, I forget what she was doing, but they made a bunch of money together. Very pretty lady. Yeah. They made a bunch of money together as husband and wife, and it's what they're doing with their money and time. Very cool. You know what I mean?
