Starting point is 00:00:00 Just don't call it a podcast. The Ebro-Lora Rosenberg Show. All right, the gang's all here. Ibro-Lora and Rosenberg, the show. Okay. What's going on, gang? How was everybody's weekend? Anybody get legionnaires from the Yankee Stadium?
Starting point is 00:00:21 Oh, my God. You know, I said King Lou, I looked at him because, you know, he's our... He was there last week. A huge Yankee fan. I'm like, bro. Lou, you got Legionaires. Hope not. Let's hope not.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Let's hope not. Did you like, I think the only way it would actually happen. I think it's more dangerous for the players, right? They're showering and all that. Right? I think they said the cooling system. The shout, like. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:00:47 What about the water or food? Yeah. I think it can't, doesn't it cook out? No? I don't know. In all serious. I'm asking. How in God's name do I know that?
Starting point is 00:00:55 I don't know. Doesn't it cook out? I mean, maybe you guys covered it on your afternoon show on ESP. I hadn't even heard it until it came to our chat yesterday. Oh, really? Oh, God. So maybe it's not that big. Um, big AI talk, right, Laura Stow?
Starting point is 00:01:06 Is that where you're going today? Yeah, I was chatting with, um, with King Lou about it, um, for a number of reasons. From the simple ones, well, not simple, but like having a loved one getting, you know, spoofed by these AI calls, AI videos. He was telling me about a friend of his who basically was getting scammed and he had to help him. I've been having these conversations with my mom because, you know, they still think everything is all good.
Starting point is 00:01:31 But, um, to the set. Sam Altman, is that his name? Yeah. Basically warning people that if we don't slow down, something real bad is going to happen. Well, hang on there. Hang on there, everybody. So the AI thing, okay?
Starting point is 00:01:47 The heads, these CEOs of these companies, anthropic, open AI, whatever. I believe there's some honesty, but there's also like, hey, this thing is dangerous, that we made. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Can you guys allow us to be the only ones that can control this thing? We'll regulate ourselves because they know the government doesn't specialize. Yeah. So they basically created something. Everybody was like, hey, why are you creating this? Now you get to a point where it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, this is out of control. We need to slow down. Hey, government, you should trust us to slow it down.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Yeah. We're the ones who got it. No, you guys don't understand it. We do. Which then takes the, because I think I was reading this article about what they call like open source, right? So this is obviously nothing that any of us. And so all of us can, you know, if we wanted to, you, you, you could start your own basically AI for yourself, for your heart, for your house, for your whatever.
Starting point is 00:03:00 These companies, I think, ultimately want to control. that. They want to, they want to be the one to tell you how your AI can and can't work. So there's, I think, two sides of this. There's A, they could be telling us the truth. There's B, the billionaires and everybody that invests in this AI stuff, they love seeing stuff like this. Oh, it's scary. The public is scared. Let's put regulations on. And these are the only individuals we can trust to manage it. So we're going to invest our money in these companies and people, because they're afraid, are also going to trust whoever we tell you to trust. So I think there's some of that gamesmanship and marketing going on too. And then I also
Starting point is 00:03:43 just think like ultimately, it's going to come up to us deciding who do we want to trust in this AI thing? Do you want to trust? But you're going to have to trust somebody. So you're going to, are you going to vote for a government that's going to regulate these companies? are you going to allow these companies who created the AI to regulate themselves in someone? Well, you don't even really have a choice, right? But you will at some point. At some point we have...
Starting point is 00:04:16 No, you have a choice to vote for people who you... All you're trying to say is you should vote for people who you trust to do things. You'd hope. But they could be corrupted by the billions that is being spent on all this AI. Sure. So could everybody...
Starting point is 00:04:29 Right. Everyone's corrupted. Who do you trust to be... corrupted more. I'll go with the Democrats. Is that we're choosing right now? No, I think you're corrupted least. Corrupted least. What I say? Corrupted more. No, I want corrupted least. Corrupted least. I am going with the Democrats. If they actually this time around trotted out a donkey, the actual Democrat donkey is who you could, whereas my daughter would say,
Starting point is 00:04:49 Dungie. I, that is who I'm voting for. Yeah. That is. What are you saying about the mics? Bring him down. I'm always loud. Loud Rosenberg. Bring me down. I don't know, Laura, what do you think? Yeah, no, I'm just thinking about, just last week we were talking about the robots that will be able to kill people and they were like, who's going to be held accountable for that? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:05:11 But these things are real and these are the things these, I just imagine an evil genius like rubbing their hands together. That's what it is. And like truly going in and people are going to lose their lives, bro. This is really going to happen. And then systems hacking into other systems and it's out of control.
Starting point is 00:05:25 It's going to be jobs first, obviously. Yeah. And then live. So the last time, you know, Coming off we're coming off 25th anniversary of 9-11 and it reminded me the last time we all got really scared As a society and what we allowed the government to do because we were all really scared They basically surveil us After 9-11 it was like yes put up cameras
Starting point is 00:05:48 Everywhere No every literally that was after the war by the way for no first let's kill like a couple hundred thousand Let's spend a few trillion okay let's blow up Yeah, entire area Yes. Kill lots of innocent people. Then you know what we could do? Surveil our own innocent people.
Starting point is 00:06:05 And so there was whole industries made on surveillance now. Right? And we're used to it. Now it's all like. Yeah, now we're flocked everywhere. Yeah, exactly. Walk a flock of flame. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:15 We're walking flock of flame to a crisp. Those are my thoughts. After hearing people talk is that you're going to basically come down to who you're going to trust. Are you going to trust our government to open up some sort of office where either elected officials appoint an individual to regulate this or individuals or there's some sort of thing that regulates its AI thing and it keeps an eye-one-one-one of the companies is good about it, right? Which is the good one?
Starting point is 00:06:40 Well, so they, so they, so we've been told, man. Anthropic, but then I've heard some things that like they've allowed, you know, look. I don't see how we're going to get comfortable with any of it. I just, I just don't see it. And like, I'm going to really overly simplify this thing. I know that there are good things that will come of AI, but in my brain, I'm like, wait a second, so people can, so people can have their trips planned for them and their hotels, like, I can get a good itinerary before the robots kill me. Well, that's the tradeoff is like, but I don't know, but see, I don't know if that's the trade off. No, I know.
Starting point is 00:07:20 That's what I'm saying. I know there's bigger things it's going to do. But like, it doesn't need to be, it's still not going to be worth the trade off. It's a guarantee. This is only hunch But this is not to be a good trade So they've made models now That are basically
Starting point is 00:07:33 You guys have heard the stories right Where it's like We created this AI sandbox And these these These AI models Figured out how to get out of their sandbox And created their own language And created their own social media platforms
Starting point is 00:07:52 And started communicating Outside the rules that we created for them Oh we created a model model that can, you know, in six months, AI will basically take over the entire internet. And we, that's, you know, that's why they're saying slow down is because they're seeing that within six to 12 months, there are AI models that exist that will literally commandeer the internet, be able to hack into all of your whatever. They can pretend to be humans.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Pretend to do all of this. And they have their own language. And it's like, so on. you know for us, layman, so unplug the damn thing. Right? Like me, I'm like, what are you saying? Unplug it. Unplug it.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Yo, no one blew in the cartridge? You know what I mean? Like, what are we talking about? Take the joysticks out. Like my mom used to do, hide the joystick. You can't play the game if you don't have a joystick. Oh, my God. No, and then it's other really dark things because I had to look this up.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I remember seeing it, but I just couldn't. I didn't have, I didn't have the space in my brain to think about it. but a federal judge in Wisconsin ruled that AI-generated child SA material, okay, is protected by First Amendment. No, it ain't. Yo, it is not. So I just want you to know like this is where we're going. Oh, that's not where we're going, Laura.
Starting point is 00:09:12 That is not, whoever that judge is, investigate them now. No, but she's right that we are going to go to a really sick things being made. That's already happening. No, no, no, it's already happening. They're making fake child porn. That's happening. This judge ruling that that's protected by your First Amendment right? No, it ain't.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Making child porn is not protected. Some of the things, that's not free speech. Like, it's not free speech. I know this is like the most understated way to put this. No, but seriously, what's wrong with you? Yeah. Because I, when I did think the first time the porn site started being like, create your own girl.
Starting point is 00:09:45 You know, like you can make your own porn. I was like, oh, that's kind of dope. I guess create some hot chick. And guess what? The beautiful part is, now no real human is even doing this. This is kind of good. Get rid of the porn actors.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Also slippery slope. Now you can never find nothing. And then I was not for one second. They said no, we can make kids. Yeah, bro. Yo, what the fuck. Disgusting. But this is why we literally can't have anything.
Starting point is 00:10:12 So that's why this will fail. We will die because of this. I saw Terminator 1. Wait a time about. I saw Terminator 2. Because of me. This is it. And we don't have.
Starting point is 00:10:23 I have Schwarzenegger. I mean, we do, but he's not John Blaise that used to be. What was her name? No. Yeah, what's what Linda? No. Sarah Connor? Sarah.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Sarah. Where's Sarah Connor? I don't want Maya to have to be Sarah Connor. She might be, but I don't want that for her life. But anyway, so yeah, that I think it's really. It really is stressful and terrible. Well, no, because you got to, I'm going to go back to it. I think you end up with two choices.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Do you have a government that's willing to put things in place to regulate? And are you as the vote? voter willing to ignore the noise of like these CEOs and these corporations being like, no, this is free market. Do you want, it's always interesting to me, right? The, where we live right now, we have government oversight into so much, right? Think about it. They're telling you what books can be in libraries.
Starting point is 00:11:15 They're telling you telling women what they can and can't do with their bodies. They're not AI though, you bro. They're buying, yo, our government's buying an investment. in steel companies and like literal like quote unquote socialism things where we're you know the government's but then when it comes to free market it's like the government should stay out of our lives come on bro which one to pick aside bro they're taking you're a liar books and just you're alive destroying them yeah the government just told jimmy kimmel that he can't air an interview last week with a democratic candidate who's actually leading in texas that you guys claim
Starting point is 00:11:53 to be like the less government people, but the government is literally running and deciding all types of things right now. You guys are liars, bro. You're lying. So as voters, right, you're going to have to decide how to ignore some of this noise because you will hear from people
Starting point is 00:12:09 who claim they're about to make a whole bunch of money off the free market and the government's tool of all. You think we're still going to have a big impact from both sides are evil crap? Yeah, they're ramping up. They're ramping up. Even right now, Lou just put something in the chat. It may not have made the program today,
Starting point is 00:12:27 but of Trump, they were asking Trump about AI. Yeah. Kevin just sent me this. Here's why Kevin. They're saying that the White House staff are urging Donald Trump to declare AI as a threat to humanity. He ain't going to do it. Well, no, his first comment when he was asked on the plane
Starting point is 00:12:43 on the clip, Lucent, you have it? Let's see. We take it a lot of their cars. Car tariffs. This week, again, there's been so much concern about AI. Have you heard directly from any of these AI tech leaders? And you seem to downplay some of the concerns that we've heard. No, I'm not downplay, but it's going to be more good than bad, but by a lot. And I've said it from any of them.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Whoever wins AI, and we're leading by a lot. Whoever wins, AI wins. Have you ever used it yourself or have you been... How do you use AI? But I would say, you know, for the most... You can use AI for a lot of things. What do you use it for? Speaking of AI,
Starting point is 00:13:22 Speaking of AI. All right. There's only one thing to take away from this clip. Yeah. Only one thing. Why haven't they gotten to him about losing the tie sooner? That's a game changer for Trump. He just lost like six years without that long, big-ass tie.
Starting point is 00:13:37 That's a danger. We should fear Tyler's Trump. Huh? We should fear Tyler's Trump. He looked different. Only you pay attention to that. You didn't notice it? No gigantic red tie?
Starting point is 00:13:48 I mean, I just. No gigantic red tie. I just. And then, I don't. But I see what you're saying. He looks more relaxed. He looks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I wonder if he's to be like, I felt that. Let's try it again. Let's run it back. They might run it back. You might be on something with that. The market, listen, man, we live in a country where we're easily swayed by marketing. Going back to, can you ignore stupid shit like Trump didn't wear a tie and now he looks more relatable and actually focus on.
Starting point is 00:14:11 He didn't have an answer to anything. She said how to use AI. He's like, anyway. Anyways, AI is everywhere. Well, no. But the biggest thing he lied about right there was that we're leading China. We're not leading China. That's a lie.
Starting point is 00:14:23 And second of all, is that really your priority? Remember, China's government, for those who do all this lying to yourself about how involved your government is, remember China's government dictates how they, what they get, what their internet is and is and ain't all this stuff is fully controlled. Yeah. You have, we have claimed that we don't want that as a nation. That's what we claim that we don't want a government like China's. Trump didn't claim that. Trump would love that.
Starting point is 00:14:53 No, I said we. No, I know. As a collective power now, I mean, only some of them would even pretend to not like that. But China is very much leading us in AI and has cheaper AI and faster and all types of shit. So if their focus is beating China, you're going to lose. That means the government is about to dictate to you what you will get with AI and how far it's going to go. Because they're trying to beat China. According to that was the scariest thing I thought he said, because it's,
Starting point is 00:15:22 probably true is whoever wins AI wins. Mm-hmm. Wins what? What are we winning? I don't know, but he's probably right. I hate to say it, that's probably true. Everything.
Starting point is 00:15:35 I think, I mean, listen, he might have just, he's, you know, those could have just been random words that fell out of his mouth because he doesn't know what day it is. But when you think about it conceptually, whoever wins AI, is that true that whoever wins AI wins the entire thing? I think he's solely speaking from a business component.
Starting point is 00:15:52 of like margins and corporations. I'm thinking about what controls the world. Well, where in China, right, they don't have minimum wage. They don't have workers' rights. They don't have certain things.
Starting point is 00:16:05 I'm told I've never lived there or interviewed anybody about workers' rights in China. But as far as like winning the global economy and business and controlling, I think that's all he cares about. He's talking about that. He's not talking about whether or not, gives a shit if robots are killing people in street because he would not no you know what I'm
Starting point is 00:16:27 saying so anyway you'll have a couple of choices so that's all I wanted to point out with all of this AI scare and a lot of this AI scare if you ask me is tied to these companies I think um Anthropics about to go public well they have a public offering soon so they're pausing it for another year oh they're pausing it for another year okay and one person from the chat uh Euritza of brayu I believe um actually made a great point too they might be wanting to slow down too because investors have slowed down on giving money to these companies.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Yes, that's true. That's true. I've seen those in the AI bubble talk or whatever, all of those things. Laura, are you ready for the rundown? Yeah. Where's that intro? I forgot where things are on this show.
Starting point is 00:17:08 It's up near the top. All right, here we go. Let's go play my songs. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still cut up. Life still flashing, we don't slow up. Big win. for Lil Durk in his murder for hire case
Starting point is 00:17:25 because the jury found him not guilty on all five charges. Prosecutors were arguing that Little Dark had hired a hit team to kill rival Cuando Rondo, but shot his cousin instead. So the prosecution argued that Little Dirk allegedly ordered the hit as a retaliation after one of Cuando's associates killed his friend, King Vaughn in Atlanta and a nightclub in 2020. Now, his defense claimed that it was actually his former assistant, Kvon Grant who ordered the hit on Kondo Rondo,
Starting point is 00:17:55 a legend he was trying to impress his boss. So his next court date is scheduled October 5th, 2026, where Little Dirk faces a separate trial, federal trial centering around racketeering at firearms and offenses. So he won this one. After that. So he won one, but he still has a lot to go. He still has two more in Chicago, I think.
Starting point is 00:18:16 And he's still facing life in prison. So people were celebrating on the Internet, And I think, you know, look, I think there's grounds for celebration when he beat the charge and just beat, you know. And the whole Brian Steele is his attorney. And then I saw something about young Thug claiming he hooked him up with Brian Steele. And then it came out that Drake was the action. And Thug was, man, bling, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Yeah, I saw that too. All of that noise. But I think the main story is that Dirk is not in the clear for any of this year. And even Dirk, I think I saw something on the Internet talking. talking about Dirk's mom was feeling responsible for how Dirk and his brother and stuff that they've been into in the streets. Yeah, she was basically blaming herself. Do we know what Dirk actually has done?
Starting point is 00:19:04 No. No one actually knows. I don't. I'm sure there are some internet FBI agents and, you know, people, you know. It's not my world. The internet crime coverage who, you know, really knows details. I don't know. Flatidemics is what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Yeah, the whole world. they're in there. They'll put a drum kit in the back and interview somebody who claims some. Is it bad? Is it bad that I, and you guys know this about me now, I am so out on like the rapper trial thing.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Like, I just really. You checked out mid-YSL. Before. Like, I was out the whole YSL. I didn't care. I was just like, I don't know. There was, listen, Snoop had a murder case back in the day. It was a huge deal.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Yeah, a song too called Murder Was the case. And it's a banger. And the Snoop. Murder case was, was interesting and, you know, got our attention, whatever. Tupac had a case, like, there were cases that happened occasionally. Now the whole thing of like, it's like its own cottage industry. The rapper on legit trial. And like the Snoop murder thing was sort of coverage.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Pock stuff got coverage. And I'm just saying his case, I think was sort of illegitimate too. I don't think anyone actually thought that Snoop murdered anyone. But it's just, I can't follow it. And like, I know, well, I'll be honest. I never could. I didn't, I don't think I followed Snoops that close. Yeah, and by the way, me neither. Well, we didn't have the internet for people to follow every day.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Right, right, right, right. So, like, you see an article here or there, but like, there are people that, and again, this goes back to the Vladidemics industry, it feels like, but I do feel like that is a whole thing. No. That's how they like hip-hop. Yes. No, no, no. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:20:40 No, sir. It's not just hip-hop. It's not just Vlad in academics. It's Laura Stiles. What do you mean? Why are you doing that? No, because you watch SVU. You guys like crime.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Oh, that's different. Yeah, but that's different. But that goes back to what I was going to say. I liked my rappers when the crime was fake also. I don't really. So you don't know that. No, sure. You thought it was.
Starting point is 00:21:02 You thought it was just in a song. You don't know. Yeah, no. And for the most part, as long as they didn't do severe jail time over it, I could live in my bubble of like, oh, it's entertainment. When I just hear that they're artists who get as famous for the real-life court stuff
Starting point is 00:21:15 as they are for their music. Some people love the, that's not what I'm- But you want to keep it real. Everybody wanted the realist. What happened? Donkey? You wanted it real.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Donkey or doggy? I said, oh, it felt like donkey. No, I think you've been hearing my eyes say donkey. Okay. Donkey. Yeah, I'm not, I just don't.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Same. The only one that I was kind of dipping in that of was the David Silas Rivas one. I call. That's different. I call hypocrites on everybody. Go ahead. Why? Because we,
Starting point is 00:21:45 we listen to these records and it's like, oh, it feels dangerous. And then real danger happens. And everybody's like, ah, that's too far for me. No, bro. Like, bro, these guys are really coming from places and sometimes really living things. Other times not like it's all intertwined. The whole culture comes from a dysfunction, man.
Starting point is 00:22:06 It comes from the streets. I, the reason I check out is because I know it comes from the streets. And you have an option when you become an artist. Are you going to one foot in, one foot out this thing? Right. or are you going to pick a path as an artist where you can completely separate yourself and talk about this in a way that is not involved
Starting point is 00:22:29 in these shenanigans? Like, you know, it's the streets, guys, whether you're making music about it or not, right? When I came up, the guys really out there doing it, they were not artists, right? They were, it was very clear. This person was a hustler. This person was a gangster.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Yeah. This person was in a gang. you know what I mean maybe some hustling but they weren't necessarily rappers because the rapper kid was the nerdy kid who wanted to write and do all those things there were a couple of guys that made transitions and did some small things but
Starting point is 00:23:00 then it got intermixed a little bit more or then people started wanting to be in the street to like get their credentials so that they then could become an artist and you know what I mean so all of that stuff got intermixed so I check out mostly because if you're playing
Starting point is 00:23:16 with that world or you come from that world, it could get you. Like that's just this, that's just what it is, man. But once it happens, I hope the best for you. But man, it's real. Yeah, it's real like we're. By the way, shout out to JW. Was it back in the Super Chat?
Starting point is 00:23:34 I hadn't checked the Super Chat in a while. Keep my eye on the Super Chat today. Happy birthday, J.W says. Happy birthday to him. Happy birthday, JW. Yeah, happy birthday, Jay W. Anybody up here celebrating the birthday? Laura's got one on the way.
Starting point is 00:23:48 On Z way, but not yet. Rosenberg just had one. Mine's not until March. Yeah, it can't be. Griff just had everybody around yours. Brassan, what's your birthday? May. May.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Lou, win with yours? I'm in December. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's saying happy birthday to Lou. Oh, my God. No, I assume it's for J.W. I think it's for himself.
Starting point is 00:24:06 All right, quick positive story, but before we get to the lowdown, guys. Lowdown back. Yes, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport voted on Friday to begin the renaming process. That's right. They're going to name it after Dolly Parton. Oh, that's beautiful. I like this. I mean, that is the most aptly named.
Starting point is 00:24:26 I mean, come on. You can't beat Nashville Airport, Dolly Parton. That's what it's supposed to be. Dolly Parton International. I mean, listen, I hope it's nicer than President Donald J. Trump Airport because I was just there. Because I was just there. Where? At President Donald J. Trump Airport.
Starting point is 00:24:40 West Palm Beach. Really? I didn't even know this exists. Listen, it's for a man who likes his stuff fancy. Got a fan. Got some work to do. Yo, Trump, your airport is trash. It was, no, listen, I enjoy a small airport, so that part's nice.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Okay. But it, the, ugh, the design, woof. He would never set foot in his own airport. No, he would. He's not. He's tacky, bro. No, no. He's been tacky.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Tacky, but tacky at least implies there's effort. He doesn't do just shit. He wants tacky bad taste, but gaudy. This is that no one's put a dollar into this place in 50 years. shappooed the carpet. Yeah, this is old rug. This is a semen-stained. Ew.
Starting point is 00:25:24 What you gotta go there? Well, you said old dirty road. Who knows? That's West Palm. Oh, my God. You don't know what people are down there. They're already throwing. What happens in West Palm stays in West Palm?
Starting point is 00:25:33 By the time you move to West Palm, I'm just going for it at this point, you know? I would say there's probably more doo-doo on the carpet. People were like incontinent. You know, vomit. Yeah. Old children's vomit that's 50 years old. Speaking of it's, speaking of incontinence and do-doing on your Where is this going to go?
Starting point is 00:25:49 You saw the high rocks? You guys familiar with this high rocks competition that takes place? No. It's like a big fitness thing that goes on. It's like cross training and it's like a move city to city and people do these competitions. Anyway, this woman won or the champion, the woman, the person that woman won for the women while she was in the middle of the whole damn thing, doodooed on herself. Oh, that's unfortunate. It kept going.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Good for you. And finished. Yes. Oh, man, doo-doo for the win. And it's running down a leg. Oh, Johnny, bro. I'm sorry. Where would I have seen this?
Starting point is 00:26:24 It was on my Algo. I got to tell you, I tell you guys, didn't get a lot of Algo time this weekend, thanks to the Be Present app. There you go. Things kicking my ass. It's really doing its thing. It really makes it hard to get out.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Like, it makes it annoying to where it's like, hey, you sure you want to go back to Instagram? If you do, you got to, if you do, you got to go inside our app, change something. Like, they really. make it difficult. So I was I was kind of out on the Algo this weekend. What's crazy is,
Starting point is 00:26:52 um, with jazz and how busy she's been with work and, and, and Salasi and just life. She doesn't get a lot of time on her phone. So at the end of the day. Oh, we got a time on the phone. Oh,
Starting point is 00:27:04 I haven't had time on the phone. Well, no, like, she'll just be like, what's going on. I'll be like, I don't know what's going on. I'm just making fun of Natalie because if at the end of the day she has not had time to be on her phone all day and I'm like, hey, could we do? She's like, I haven't had time on my phone all day.
Starting point is 00:27:16 I'm like, well, then we need to. to make sure. Yeah. That's different. No, everyone does. That's a thing. I haven't had time yet. I do it too.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I haven't had time. I got to get on my phone. And then I get on. I'm like, well, ours goes like this. Ours goes, Jazz will go, what happened today? I'll be like, I don't know. I haven't looked. And then we'll like, look.
Starting point is 00:27:34 You'll both look. We'll both look together and talk about stuff we're seeing in our algal. Okay. Which is kind of like a wind down. But that's probably the extent. Because I've noticed I don't post, really. I'll do like a post in a story. I stop posting.
Starting point is 00:27:47 I was going to post it completely almost on the grid. I was gonna post today on the grid for my mom's birthday. My mom's birthday. That's a positive one. How old did your mom have been? It's a great question. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I don't know. She passed at 70, which is 2015. Oh, so she'd be 81? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Shout to mom. I do love your post. So you come up with some beautiful pictures.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Yeah, yeah, I'll post some classes. Yes. Yeah, those are basically the only, you mean like when he does an actual, when it's Ebro's actual post, not a promo post that's being done. But an actual Ebro post? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Oh, he pulls good pictures. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My brother posted already. And I bring that up because when my mom passed, my brother and her were not in a great place. And I can tell it still affects him. Yeah. So I say that to all of you out there that are not in a great place with your parents currently.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Either come to peace with the fact that that relationship is the way it is. And it's that way for a reason. or fix it. Yeah, bro. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I was just listening to this thing yesterday on this American life. This woman put out a book called Dear Dealer about she did a piece writing a letter,
Starting point is 00:29:07 a made-up letter to the drug dealer that she imagined is the one who gave her sister the fentanyl that killed her. And one of the things she gets to in this piece was about how the last, text from her sister she never got back to and and then when she got her sister's phone she read a text from her sister
Starting point is 00:29:27 to one of her friends about like hating her sister like she's like she like she had she could see that her drug addicted sister at the time had anger towards her and she's just going through like it's just to your point like man we don't have a lot of time on this
Starting point is 00:29:43 thing man the hanging on to being angry although some Listen, some people, some family members are going to make it hard for you. They're going to make it hard for you because they're going to do wrong and not want to make it right. And you're going to have to be the person repeatedly on bend-d-kid-kneed to make it work.
Starting point is 00:29:58 But I will say whatever your version of all right is because there's some people who have very strong boundaries with a parent, you know what I mean? And that's when made their life better. So whatever your version. Yes, whatever your version of peace is, that's when I agree. You don't always have to be good,
Starting point is 00:30:16 but you have to be okay with your decision. And you also have to be you have to be able to project out as best you can that you're going to be okay if the worst were to happen tomorrow. Yes, yes, yes, yes. The Ebro's point, you might have been like, yo, I said a boundary, blah, blah, blah,
Starting point is 00:30:29 but then the person dies. You're like, but I still could have done something slightly differently. Yes, yes, yes, yes. These are hard. I'm talking to a lot of people right now who are going through just a variety of different adultish, man.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Well, I want to point out, too, last night I was at the HB. premiere of the Jay Z Rick Rubin Jammy Jam Thanks for inviting us Down the street from my house No one sent an invite Not actually blaming you of course
Starting point is 00:30:54 Go ahead I assumed you would be invited I'm just teasing And I forget the song Damn it Where Jay Z shoots his brother Is it can't be life
Starting point is 00:31:05 I don't remember the kids The shooting his brother verse Me neither Chat But anyway It feels like this can't be life though Yeah Jay Z talks about He's talking about
Starting point is 00:31:16 So the thing is really dope, first of all. And also super dope. You must love me. You must love me. Sorry. Super dope because he, they play and the lyrics come up on the screen. And then they talk, it's all about lyrics to the song and like how the lyrics came about and each song.
Starting point is 00:31:35 And so Rick Rubin is basically asking. So you get to, for me, I think as a fan of Jay, I think you get to see a level of the humanity in the lyrics. Okay. Most people just hear a home and they might. think the money and the braggadoches, whatever. But they specifically cover songs that are very deep, his relationship with his mom, incident with his brother,
Starting point is 00:31:54 his relationship with his dad, where he talks about this stuff in the records. Okay. And that's the episode. I don't know if I only saw one episode or if I, I don't know what I saw. I assume they didn't have you watch eight. But it was at least, but I don't know how long the episodes are. I think they're eight like 40.
Starting point is 00:32:10 I think they're full episode. I don't know. I don't know what happened. He might have been two. Okay. Let's say it was two. But at any rate, Jay's brother was an addict of some sort and kept stealing and they end up getting into it and escalates, right? And he talks about it in the song.
Starting point is 00:32:27 So I bring that up because Jay's brother still was like, and he talks about it in the song, you must love me. At the end of the verse, like, tell Jay I love him. Right. Tell Jay, I love him, whatever. So that just made me think of that because you don't know what people are going through. don't know what your family members dealing with and sometimes just remember reminding yourself to tell your loved one even if they shoot you um that you that you that you love them you know what saying like that it's you know uh reconciling some of this craziness yeah yeah and i get that that's that's
Starting point is 00:33:04 it's important because when the when it happens it's oh yeah and and i will say this hbo thing definitely was better than i anticipated right because you know your your thing you're gonna see just another Jay Z interview. That's not what it is. I mean, it's an interview. Well, there aren't a lot of Jay Z. I mean, there's a lot of Jay Z. I mean, we just had the GQ, but it ain't about none of that. It's 1,000% about his lyrics. And the other thing. I'm glad because I did not understand the Rick Rubin pairing with Hove, to be honest. I was like, I kind of don't know that I need eight hours of conversation between Rick Rubin and Jay Z. Like, I don't find their connection to be that important. That's what I'd want to see. But I'm making it specifically about lyrics. And I kind of respectfully takes
Starting point is 00:33:45 who the host is kind of out of it. It's kind of like Rick Rubin's a great name to have there because it gives it gravitas, but is it more just about you're serving him up for lyrics? But I think it's a level of comfort that you see Jay. True. Or having him with someone he really respects. And, bro, I mean, I know this because he's told me before,
Starting point is 00:34:03 but he talks about how he doesn't talk and how he couldn't talk as a human. Like, he would be like, yo, the things I've said on record, I would never say in conversation. Right. Like, I never had these conversations before. And I think that's ill because it made me think of the number of artists that we sit down with,
Starting point is 00:34:26 that we're having a conversation with them about things they've said in their songs. And they're looking at us like we have four heads. And you're like, yo, bro, I just listen to you say this in the song. Why can't we have a conversation about it? And it was like, yo, you know what I'm? I mean like there's a there's some sort of compartmentalization disconnect between these individuals who have lived a certain life and are willing to rhyme about it when they're by themselves with a microphone and then you sit out with everyone though to share with at the world but now we're
Starting point is 00:34:58 sitting down having a one-on-one convo and you can't do it can't get into the emotions tied to it how how it happened it was interesting to see it yeah and it's believable you he's He was, I mean, listen, he's never been. He's never been a great talker. And he's never wanted to do that much conversation. Right, right, right. I'm curious about it. All right, let you want to, you have another super check.
Starting point is 00:35:23 You want to shout out? Emperor Zaddy says, Shanatova, Peter. I would have preferred not to say Zaddy to hear your son-outsova, but right back at you, happy new year. Yo, it's 57-87. Oh, big year, 57-87. What does that mean? That's the year.
Starting point is 00:35:36 That's the year. I don't know. That means that the calendar that we're running on, 2026. Okay. There's a whole group of people that have a whole other calendar and the year's completely different.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Just like the lunar New Year. Right, right. I was going to say that. I love pointing this out to people because their brains explode. They don't really process that. We're saying it's 2026 and the world has accepted that it's 2026
Starting point is 00:36:00 to do business on a Western, on Pope Gregory's calendar, the Gregorian calendar. Yeah. But the Jews are on on 5787. Ethiopian calendar, I think they're still
Starting point is 00:36:15 in like 2017 or something. They're just eight, ten years behind? Well, because they're calendars longer. Calendar's longer. I think they have a 13-month calendar. Oh. And then lunar New Year's, look it up, Lou, what year is it in the lunar new year?
Starting point is 00:36:31 Or the lunar year? So it's here 5787. So I'm just basically saying that their shit is mad older than you. They've been doing this longer than years, what I'm saying. Muslims is later. They're 1482, I believe. 1482, because the Quran was written later, right?
Starting point is 00:36:45 47-24. China, it's 47-20. 47-20. They've been doing this longer than you. That's all I'm saying. That's all I just want to point out. Every time we do one of these new years, just remind yourself, your little 20-26.
Starting point is 00:36:56 You brand new, doggy. 57-87. 57-87. Also shout out to Chip Osario, who said, Wow, Rosenberg, listens to this American life. Okay, my respect level is on 10. Thank you, Chip. It's available to everybody.
Starting point is 00:37:08 I know. I think it's like a top five most popular podcast that exists. It's a great podcast. So why is he impressed? Because I don't know, because he enjoys it also is my guest. And he thinks I'm stupid. So that's where I was going. Because to know that I listen to it means I must be smarter than he thought.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Let's get to the lowdown. Lowdown time. To your speaker. The time for the lowdown. with Laura Stey. Didn't need the diarrhea said to our group chat, though. We're fine on that. What's that?
Starting point is 00:37:45 Somebody said a picture of the girl? Yeah, I'm good. Gross. Look, look, look at the leg. You said the leg? I don't want to. I'm good. I don't want to see that.
Starting point is 00:37:51 Yo, you know, did you realize how hard you got to be working to not even know you about to do the one yourself? Or you know. Or you know you about to do to on yourself. And you're like, you know what? Oh, well, I'm about to win this competition. I bet it's the second one. I need to know how much money they get.
Starting point is 00:38:06 How much money did she get to do to do to do to want herself? Oh. Oof, all right, guys. Papoose was trending because he dropped a track called Jezebel, you know, rehashing all, you know, his version of the split between him and Remy from cheating accusations to claims that he wrote Remy's single conceded. And, you know, Remy's still asking, sign the divorce papers, which I just be like, just sign the divorce papers at this moment.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Just sign it. Well, we don't know what the situation is, though. I mean There's a reason people don't want to sign divorce papers. So I just also saw I think this weekend where it said Remy was trying to postpone because she didn't want them signed
Starting point is 00:38:49 because they was trying to Pap was trying to get half or something. I saw the opposite. I saw her saying sign the divorce paper. So we don't know. I don't know. Do you guys want to see the Jezebole video? Yes.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Songs fire, bro. No, I don't know what happened between them and I love them both. this song's fire, bro. This is, this reminded me of some 90s college radio. Oh, Pat, nailed it. Now, let's hear for a minute.
Starting point is 00:39:17 It's good. Jezebel, I heard your statement, you said it well, but that doesn't make it the truth. Once again, you fell. Jezebel, you act like an angel, you presented well, but you're a demon. We know the difference.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Haven't held. Jezebel, how could you say I haven't fed you well? When you was locked up, I brought you full since you mail. Jezebel, ask the bomb. who sent your bell. To this day I give you money. Did you get the zeal? You cheated with a fake Papoose. I never spoke to the public even though it was true. Just kept raising my daughter like a father should do. She cried calling your phone. We couldn't get through. I finally got tired. Yeah, number two. Now you make up a lie and say I cheated on you. How bizarre is this? I always
Starting point is 00:40:00 treated you marvelous, but there's nothing worse than a narcissist. Put you before myself. I said you was nicer than Papp. Knowing deep down inside I was writing your wraps, think I caught insomnia kept fighting my nap. I can't even lay down with this knife in my back. You're trying to be wrong and strong. That ain't right in exact. How tripling is that?
Starting point is 00:40:19 You ever been on a gram and seen that meme of Jaheim? The truth hurts. It said, this how you look when you put that woman first. Mm. Yeah, that's a great. Papp sounds great on that. I'm not getting into their business. That's a fire record.
Starting point is 00:40:35 No, so he did this thing. Pat, when you're putting that out, man? Is that it's on a fifth? I went and looked. I was, I was, see, that was the internet coverage. Me and jazz was going over. That's a worthwhile. Did you hit a pap record?
Starting point is 00:40:47 And then I went and looked on Apple Music. It wasn't there. But I'm hitting them both with a button because. Yeah, I just wish they both move on. Well, so it's gotten so egregious again, this time around that I am convinced while, yes, they are, uh, it's not good. And I believe everything that's going on is nasty. I think they also both are willing to work the internet
Starting point is 00:41:09 to promote records and whatever is going to come of this marketing effort. I'm just saying. Because remember, we already did this. Yeah. There was a whole blow up. They was beefing and Clarissa. I thought they had just moved on. It was going to get a divorce.
Starting point is 00:41:27 No. It's come back. Now we got a dope pap record. Aren't we on the precipice of like a Remy My album? She's got an album, yep, on the way. On the way. So you're sensing, you're sensing we're getting worked a little bit also. There's definitely some promo in here where it's like, yo, I want the divorce, but let's get a bag.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Let's get another bag in the process the same way we ran the, what was that thing called on VH1? I like that you're treating it like it might be a play. I don't know if it is. I don't think it is. Man, bro, that, I don't know, man. I'm convinced we hear from these people conveniently. There's so much we don't hear, bro. And then all of a sudden, I'm hearing everything.
Starting point is 00:42:02 But that, listen, it's, I just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, so depressing because for so long it was like wow at least we got remi and pat like they were that couple in that sense you're like yeah man like they really he held it down while she was gone then they came back great start the success they had a tv show they glowed up together that didn't make her happy though uh yeah i heard that that that that he looks that that was that was the most damning part of the song everyone's going to gravitate towards the the the cheating the cheating stuff but the part about her never being happy and when people would point out black love she would like be annoyed and be like, I'm sick of people pointing out like our love.
Starting point is 00:42:38 That is the most damning accusation he makes in the song, in my opinion. Well, that plays into the validate me podcast. It didn't validate me. Maybe get them both on back to back. Good luck. Maybe, Pat. I think you can actually separately. I think that would be a strong move.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Look, they're doing promo. It's a great point. Great point. No, it's a dope record. I wish them the best, but I hate that this has happened. That's the lowdown. Thank you, Laura Staus. Laura Staus.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Laura got the run down, turn that up. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still cut up. I'm still flashing. We don't slow. You know, who's been doing interviews that? It's been surprising. Who's that?
Starting point is 00:43:18 Colin Kaepernick. Oh, yeah, Cap's outside. Got a book out. Yeah. Is it pre-order still, right? For the book or the book? I don't know if it's out or pre-order. It's out on the 15.
Starting point is 00:43:28 That's tomorrow. Cap book out tomorrow. I've seen some great combos. We have a clip of Colin Kaepernick talking to Jamal Hill. Oh. The idea that, oh, you took a check from the NFL, so you know, you're not as righteous as you claim to do. I would, one, I was very surprised by it.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Um, um, um, let them rent free there. Um, it is, I mean, we are, at this point, we are seven years post him doing that deal. And while you're doing an anniversary tour to celebrate your fast work, that's the thing that's most top of mind for you. Like, that's pretty remarkable how bothered he is by that, which I think he speaks to a guilty conscience around it. Like, the response in the wake of him doing that deal was broadly, you'll be like, oh, you sold the protest out. He sold us out. You make the famous or the infamous comment of, we're past kneeling, effectively saying,
Starting point is 00:44:52 we're past addressing these issues within the community. Me going through a grievance process because the NFL blackballed me, and that's a process that's laid out in advance, is drastically different than coming in on the back of the NFL saying, we need a black face to stop the protest. They tried it with the, the players coalition they try to offer me the deal uh and then come in and say oh i'll take that
Starting point is 00:45:20 i'll take the check there i'll help you and get i'll redirect everybody's energy to a half-time show we'll make sure they're entertaining i got to i'm very impressed with cap's uh swag in that conversation considering he's a guy who hasn't spoken very much over the last several years yeah i didn't know what he'd be like I saw the headlines but he's he's standing on his business well I think it's too I think people need to realize that like you know whether you agree with
Starting point is 00:45:52 cap or you disagree with cap or you're you know angry with hove or you agree with hove I like the fact that we have both of them and I know it's not a popular take or whatever but I think there's you know Jay Z's never made qualms about his
Starting point is 00:46:08 intentions to be a businessman and get money and buy and be corporate and start his own companies and do those things. He's always been that guy. And Cap is an athlete, like activist. They're not really supposed to agree on the path forward. You know what I mean? Like I don't, I see this happen often.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Like how many times have we seen individuals who want to do the right thing for the communities they represent but have paths that don't necessarily? If you ever, if Laura, if we ever think about it, would Ebro ever be, Good to run for office. I want you to remember this moment. Not in a bad. This is not an insult. This is dead serious.
Starting point is 00:46:49 He is friends with both these people who are polar opposites. I might have just said next topic. He just skilled, you sincerely said a thought you have. That's really my talk. But you also managed to get through that, knowing that like they're on complete opposite sides of it. You're right.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Why would they be the exact same? I have. Listen, I came to terms with this myself. Many, many years. You mean within yourself? Well, no, with how I'm viewed, right? Because I work in corporations. I have friends who are activists.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Right. There's things that I'm doing that my friends are like, what are you doing? And I'm like, I have a job. Like, I'm not, I'm not, even though I thought of myself always as being just this, I'm not just that. And it's also not that simple because my activist friends, guess what? I'm going to donate and get you money. Right. or I'm going to help you do this thing or...
Starting point is 00:47:43 And give you a platform when I can. You know what I'm saying? Like so... But I get why you don't like it. Like even with like, in simpler terms, when I decided to be more than just like an underground DJ and was like, I'm going to program and I'm going to run stations and I'm going to run stations to win.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And my underground friends was like, yo, you're station is trash. You're a hip-hop. It's trash. And I'm like, yeah, because it's a man. It's not even supposed to... Right, but I'm going to do the things I can hear. Yeah. to help your record.
Starting point is 00:48:13 That's right. Let me get it on a mix show, though. Let me try to help do this. And then the other people are still going, yeah, you're a sellout. Right. No, you're right. It's a, you know what I'm saying? It was like, and I've said this.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Keras one ain't supposed to like me. You know what I'm saying? Like, real hip hop fans is supposed to be like, yo, shut the fuck up. You work for a corporation. Like, I need you to be like that. I need that to exist still personally. But I do think Kapp spoke to one thing that may be true. Now, he said the rent free line.
Starting point is 00:48:40 He's kind of talking a little shit there or whatever. I do think Hove has, I think Jay feels away about what happened and how it played out. I think because I do think he cares. And I do think if he had it to do over again, he probably wouldn't have said the were past kneeling line because it did not convey the sentiment. And I also don't think he was talking. He's not. He did not mean protest is over.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Well, he also, I don't think Jay speaks on behalf of the entire black community. I don't think he thinks like that. He didn't think what he was saying. He's talking about him and his business people at Rock Nation who are doing a deal with NFL where it was like, we are past kneeling. We're going to do business and control the halftime so that we can get a Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Never forget, you don't get Kendrick Lamar making a statement about the black American experience at the halftime without the Jay-Z thing. Yeah, or a bad bunny. Or a bad bunny, which was hugely political also. Yes, exactly. You don't get, you don't get Beyonce. Remember, this is before even Rock Nation.
Starting point is 00:49:46 You don't get Beyonce Blackfist Afros. Super Bowl, I mean, at Christmas. No, not even Christmas. She did it at halftime. Get in formation. It was like a Black Panther in the Bay. That was post-Jazy? No, that was pre.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I'm just saying they've been doing these sort of statements at the halftime. So those things do matter also. But yeah, but I totally agree. And I think they've been awesome moments that are important. But yeah, the people who. are actually protesting and have lost a lot, them being like, oh, thanks, billionaire. You got a cool message on a half time. Not supposed to happen.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Not supposed to happen. They're supposed, this is supposed to go like this. Yeah. Yeah. Great guys, though. Big fan. No, I love them both. No, no, listen.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Let me tell you something. Those are my brothers, man. I neither could be mad at this convo, although somehow they might both be. Hey, who knows? Listen, no, the internet's going to be mad. Pick aside. Y'all in the middle. I actually see both sides, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:50:41 I think it's nuance. Oh, how dare you. And I don't want to. And listen, I'm sitting here, Angretting. Get the fuck up, Ebro. Congratulations. I didn't get invited to the Jay-Z party five minutes from my house. And I still came to work where my night and see.
Starting point is 00:50:56 I mean, I'm just a fan. Now, you just cut. Look at you. Well, I don't want to have to go full cut. Oh, my God. On the, on the, on the, on the, uh, super chat, Taiwan Burr said the YouTube channel Amplified Voices is posting your Patreon videos. Yes. Yeah, we know, but pieces. They post pieces. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Check out amplified voices, man. Check out the app. Download the app. That's one of our partners. Afro boy Odyssey said what's your thoughts on fat Joe and Joe Budden, E, bro? Listen, I don't think the N-word is something that you just get to run around and argue about. Fat Joe, there, listen, I, if I saw a black person claiming that they get to use the N-word and arguing with other black people like what we saw Drake going through with the whole Kendrick thing. It's just not a good place to be.
Starting point is 00:51:46 The N-word is foul. If you're being honest, it's street talk. And Joe claims his father is Afro-Cuban and he's from that environment. That's his claim. But I don't think it was the right thing, Joe. Like, I just saw a Fat Joe last night. And what did you say?
Starting point is 00:52:01 I didn't say nothing because we was watching we was at the J-Z thing. It's not like I walked up to him. It was like, listen, let me tell you about this N-word. I wasn't that didn't happen either I did it did we were talking about it off after we went off the air the other day why is there always this talk
Starting point is 00:52:15 this is the most perplexed thing sorry to cut you off but keep but sorry I'm sorry though I appreciate that I'm gonna try to hold my thought there is no other word that's debated like this guys it's a slur I don't care remember hip hop is a culture that was born out of the streets and dysfunction and toxicity like it's from the streets and it uses street language and curse word
Starting point is 00:52:37 many words other than the N word that you wouldn't say in certain scenarios right like we understood mf or this calling somebody this calling women to be word like yeah but they say all the but in the setting that he's in he could say all those words yeah but he fat joe wouldn't argue that i get to say the word bitch in women's presence loosely yeah loosely he would know time and place. The N-word is the same thing, bro. Like, why are we acting like we have this of anyone that you have a, I have a given right?
Starting point is 00:53:18 Like, what are you talking about? It offends people and people are telling you not. If somebody saying, ouch, this hurts. Be like, yo, my bad. Where I grew up. Well, that's the, that's the part where Joe is dropping the ball is that he is saying, and we all love Joe. He is saying, though, like, nah, I hear you.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Your feelings are wrong. was there my brother was carrying crates for melly mel but he's conflating hip hop in the n word that's not exactly that's my point like you're conflating these things that don't make sense and now that you're making these you're trying to do it's too much just say you know what i'm old enough to change i always said it i'm not going to say how about this when i'm in the street that was how we was talking it's not even i don't have it's not up for debate the inward why is it word always being debated man what is the issue, man. And the issue, no, I'm going to tell you what the issue.
Starting point is 00:54:09 There's a lot of issues with this. No, the issue is, is people want to say things and take things away from black people. That is ingrained in a lot of our cultures. And this is the one thing that people try to say, no, you're actually not allowed to do that. And they want to go, why? I'm good with black people. And it's like, but it ain't, it ain't about that, bro. Black people have said that this word is meaning something, means something to them.
Starting point is 00:54:36 And it hurts if we don't, you might be cool with a black person, they might be okay with you. It's not a universally understood and accepted word. There are black people that are not okay with the N-word full stop. They don't use it. Yeah, no matter who says it.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Of course. And then there's some people who use it in their home with their grandmothers. You know what I'm saying? And then there's like, my world, you were absolutely not using the N-word in front of adults
Starting point is 00:55:05 in the how? Like what? But this goes back to something that I realized when I was a teenager And the first time someone jokingly was like Now Rosenberg, you're my guy You have an M word pass
Starting point is 00:55:17 Said go ahead I went I'm 18 I'm an idiot I go I don't think that Those passes would keep up Other places So I'm gonna go ahead and say no
Starting point is 00:55:27 I'm gonna just keep rocking with my You Don't say it Right that's literally what this is He was given a pass by people He's been around And then he became fat Joe so who's going to say anything. Other people are now saying,
Starting point is 00:55:38 You don't have the past, bro. And he's like, nah, I do. But he's also saying he's black. But that's the confusing part. You go back and forth, he's going back and forth between no, no, I'm black, but also I was near hip-hop. Either you're black or you were near hip-up.
Starting point is 00:55:51 But also, but just be, what I'm saying is is just because you're black. Even that's not enough. And someone's like, yo, bro, I have, I'm telling y'all, there are black people who just, they'll be like, bro, don't use that word around me. Sure. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:56:04 And what are you going to say? Nah, I'm black. I can say what I would. Sure, you could say that, but that's not nice. No, and that's the point. Right. That's the point. And so, yeah, it's ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:56:15 But I will say that if new fat Joe album's kind of fire, though. I have not heard the new fat Joe album. Not a new fat show album's kind of fire. And also that, yo, I don't know if y'all been playing that diligence too, that bust the ron. Oh, sure have. Serious album. Oh, should we do a little gorrito? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Should we? It's already 902. You have to do cozy earth. Oh, my God. Shout to cozy earth. Speaking of partners. Favorites. Listen, we are in the process of moving.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Okay. Right now? No, not, well. Long-term process. Getting ready. The lengthy process of like still needing to put down a down payment and then get the loan. And I'm in that phase. So moving is going to have a place.
Starting point is 00:56:57 I have a place. Done. Okay. Okay. I mean, if I can get it. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Okay. Okay. pre-approval but you know if you've ever bought some it steps away anyway it's already been declared that it's just a cozy earth home yeah oh man the towel I got to the towels finally by the way no bro let me tell you let me tell you about that pajama set bro I know oh my god you love the pajamas it's amazing it's so soft and comfy and cozy it's I hit up our people to try to get some cozy earth PJs for Natalie's birthday need that need should be very happy I know I'm I'm working on it Laura I'm efforting right now I'm
Starting point is 00:57:34 So listen, we've told you many times about Cozy Earth, but trust and believe. How about this? The bamboo stretch knit sets right now, okay? Okay. I'm talking about the pajamas Laura is speaking about that our game changers. Head to CozyEarth.com. Use our code ELR for up to 20% off home and sleepwear. Okay?
Starting point is 00:57:57 That's code ELR for 20% off home and sleepwear. So, you know, you got the towels like I'm talking about. the sheets and then you also have the sleep wear the PJs. All right. And if you see a post-purched survey, please mention that you heard about Cozy Earth right here on Ebro, Laura, and Rosenberg. There you go.
Starting point is 00:58:14 Shout to Cozy Earth. And it should be noted that I, going back to the woman who doodooed on herself. Oh my God. Why do you like this so much? Well, because I want to know how much money was on the line. How much was it? I think it was only like $7,500.
Starting point is 00:58:28 That's a lot to dodo on yourself, bro. I mean, it's not a lot to do it. No, so the world championships is $40,000 for first place. Okay. I might do to all myself for $40,000. Public defecation for $40,000. Like where you're like, this is like me winning or I'm about to let it go?
Starting point is 00:58:44 And I need to, you wouldn't let it go for $40,000? I don't think it's about the money. I think that's about probably the competitiveness of wanting to win. It's my guess here. Okay, so if you're there, you're about to win. Do you keep going with you doing down your leg?
Starting point is 00:58:56 I've not capable of competing that hard, which may explain my lot in life, but I don't think I'm shitting on myself. I don't know, I'm going to just keep it a buck with you. be. Yeah, I don't think I could survive that. So I guess this is the call, huh? Whoops, no, this is the call.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Send your guru emails, though. The original gurus at gmail.com. Send us your questions. Starting point is 00:59:28 We'll see you. Manana, 8 a.m. Shout to all the listeners that stop us on the street. Would you guys grade or would you guys say that the level of people saying they see you, watch, you listen to you has gone up from this program? Yes. Gone up from what? The beginning? From since we were at hot, like doing this program, it still feels like people are seeing our stuff and hearing our stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:56 I wouldn't say gone up. You're not saying gone up. Well, it's hard to say because so many people when they see me talk about hot. Got it. That it's confusing. It's like there's still the... I'm so sad. I'm so sad about what happened.
Starting point is 01:00:08 See, I get more of the, yo, I'm seeing you more now than I used to. Same. Same thing, bro. I get that. I miss you guys. I miss you guys on air, but I love what you're doing right now.
Starting point is 01:00:19 And I see it. You guys are all over. And it is funny, though, because you know, a lot of people say, I love it and I see it and it's all over. They still aren't seeing the show. They're just seeing clips hit their thing more. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:00:28 Maybe that matters. No, no, it does matter. I just need to convert them to come and listening to us every morning like they used to. Right, right. Because it's crazy how hard it is to change someone's house. I love you. I listened every day of my life.
Starting point is 01:00:41 Cool. Could you push a button on YouTube? No. Absolutely not. Can't do it. I'm only used to pushing a button on the radio. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 01:00:49 You said I have to pick up the phone that's already in my hand? No, I can't do it. See y'all tomorrow. Bye.
