Starting point is 00:00:00 Just don't call in a podcast. The Ebro-Lora Rosenberg shows. Yeah, man, back on a Monday, a Yom Kippur Monday. Rosenberg's out here, Yom-Ming. Yombe. You know what I'm saying? Streets is, listen, on a Yon Kippur, you'd be like, oh, depending on when it falls in the calendar,
Starting point is 00:00:25 because, you know, traffic is pretty smoothish around the tri-state. If you're checking us out anywhere else, you may not have as many Jewish people in your town as we do here in the NYC. So, you know what I'm saying? Not so many things are closed or it's not kind of, but it feels like a city holiday when you get like the big Jewish holidays, right?
Starting point is 00:00:47 Because you got the big Catholic holidays, you got the big Jewish holidays, you got the big Muslim holidays. If you live in a city like New York City, it would be people would be gone. That's right. That's right. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:00:58 So we got that going on a little. bit around the tri-state area. But we also have the big UN annual kumbaya of sorts. I don't know how much it'll be a kumbaya for Netanyahu in Israel as he pulls up. But they got Trump headed over to see Mom Dani. That's right. He's going to go see him at Gracie Mansion. Okay. So he's going over to hang out at the crib for an hour. Let's see. According to Mom Dani's team, the gathering or the meeting is specifically about how to improve everyday life for New Yorkers. Yeah. Which is always Mom Donnie's message and all he cares about.
Starting point is 00:01:38 So listen, I love what Mom Donnie's doing. I love the fact that haven't been able to knock him off a square. I love the fact that we're getting some results out here. But traffic is going to be kind of nuts, right? Yeah. So we have a little video that you can check out because, listen, if you're commuting into the city, out of the city, it's going to be a nightmare. So I need you guys to prepare yourself because it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:01:55 it will affect your commute. Starting tomorrow, New York City basically stops being New York City. Nearly 130 world leaders are rolling into Manhattan for the UN General Assembly. And if you've lived here long enough, you know exactly what that means. First, the traffic. Starting Monday afternoon, expect rolling street closures around Midtown East, the FDR Drive, and First Avenue. Trump lands Monday and heads to Trump Tower, so add motorcades to your evening commute.
Starting point is 00:02:23 By Tuesday morning, when he addresses the UN, the whole east side becomes a frozen zone. If you drive or take the bus through Midtown this week, leave early or don't go at all. Second, the security. Thousands of NYPD officers, secret service, and foreign security details flooding the streets, barricades,
Starting point is 00:02:41 barricades, entire blocks you just can't walk through. And third, the protests. Thursday is the big one. Israel's prime minister speaks at the UN, flies in and out the same day, and demonstrators are already planning to be out in force. Last year there was a mass walkout during his speech. This year could be louder.
Starting point is 00:03:00 And here's the twist. Trump isn't even meeting with him. The White House says the schedule's too packed. So here's your week, New York. Gridlock, motorcades, and protests through the 28th. Plan around it. Or grab your phone because this is the most filmed week of the year in this city. What's the worst traffic you've ever sat in? Drop it in the comments. Thanks, big Apple vibes. All right. Um, listen, I don't, I rarely go to the east side, but if that's, your mode of transportation and journey through the city, then yeah, you know what this is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:31 But there's so much of the city that that's why when that was the first line, New York won't look like itself. Manhattan will be frozen. I mean, it'll be annoying a little bit if you're on the east. I mean, it'll be annoying a lot. And also, I think trains get extra packed on a week like this because people don't drive. So more people are on the trains than normal.
Starting point is 00:03:51 So, yeah, man. Pay attention. That's going on this week. our show here that we do every day for an hour has definitely become something that I didn't anticipate
Starting point is 00:04:04 I don't know about you guys Good way? Yeah in a good way Okay A because I Bro La Rosa Merck show every day 8 o'clock is a great way to get you an hour of the goings-ons for the week or the day or whatever
Starting point is 00:04:18 so I've heard that from people like y'all I check in with y'all and whether I catch it live or I catch it on demand Um, it's, you know, I get y'all's opinions. I get to see some, maybe some news pieces and some thoughts on things. Love it. It's quick. It's to the point.
Starting point is 00:04:32 It's succinct. So we, I kind of anticipated that, but I didn't know people would, um, uh, get it so fast, right? Because what have we been doing now? Seven months? Uh, nine months? It's September. Yeah, yeah, nine months. We started, uh, December, 20, 25.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Um, I also didn't anticipate, um, um, so many people never having seen us before. I get both. Like they heard of us, heard our voices, knew of us, but hadn't actually seen what we look like as maybe periodically, but maybe they're seeing us more now. Yeah, yeah, because I was at, I think last week I was at City Island, and I was at Sammy's, and this one girl in the bathroom was like,
Starting point is 00:05:21 oh my God, Laura, I love you guys, I miss you. guys so much and I was like you know we're still you can catch it on YouTube she's like what I didn't know she came over I gave her all the details but she had zero clue zero clue so that's super important to know that some people are still missing us out there well and um I definitely feel like we've found a space that makes sense for us so far and you know obviously we want to continue but like like I said you know just these kind of updates in our opinions on what's going on people also have been receiving it like we weren't had they didn't know we did this before because they didn't these things
Starting point is 00:05:59 didn't get cut up and put all over the internet correct correct if you tuned into the show you knew but if you just caught pieces on the internet and you didn't wake up in the morning and listen to morning radio they these conversations were had in this way right and even when you were driving in and let's say you were a listener depending on what time you would only catch a chunk of our show There's listeners who only know it's from the guru giving advice or in the morning when we used to play Lord of a Lusus. So that's also very important to know. So the converse ad. Bro.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I'm going to play this piece. This got to me on Friday night. Okay. I think I saw this. And it hadn't quite hit the algorithm heavy when I saw clip two, Rassan. Where marketing is concerned with big, gigantic companies, there are no coincidences. There happens to be a national issue, particularly in the southern parts of the nation, where black people are being, what is the term, strange fruit.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And so it's interesting, the timing that converts comes out with an answer. head that looks like this. So you have a steeple there and the way these shoes and these other shoes are all positioned in a way that if someone was standing in them, they would be looking up. And it looks like these shoes are just dangling as shoes would dangle if they had feet in them. So as I was saying, Nike bought Converse. And so when you look up Converse online, you get the Nike team because they're the owners.
Starting point is 00:08:00 They own the brand, the company. You can see they bought them back in 2003. And you just start seeing all the people. Because for a marketing campaign for a company in size to get out, it goes through a lot of hands, a lot of eyeballs, a lot of approvals, all these people. So somewhere in here, a person, or multiple people, perhaps, like the EVP chief marketing officer,
Starting point is 00:08:26 would have approved these ads. And would have approved the copy, the messaging. Oh, there is one black person. Of course, she's over Jordan, all the rest. Anyway, they approve all of it. What they're trying to capture, how it's going to be positioned, where it's going to be in the stores, because they had print materials.
Starting point is 00:08:49 It wouldn't just be an ad you see online. There are going to be things in stores. So I just think that there are no coincidences. And it's been a few hours, and this is still up, and the company hasn't spoken. Maybe they'd like to hear from you. So after that, it picked up Steam, and then they did take the ad down. And apologized. Oh, they did.
Starting point is 00:09:13 So I didn't see the apology, but I'm coming for that in a second. I would like to point out, though, at big corporations like a night. the people doing marketing for converse the people on the Nike side or the Jordan side may not have seen or been in the approvals of that ad however Nike does have an internal marketing team as well as that ad probably went out to agencies before it was placed in the places that people saw it I don't I don't know all of that. But we could go now to, you said there was an apology. So, yeah, it says Converse, which is owned by Nike, they issued a statement apologizing and saying that they had, they removed the ad that said, we're sorry. We understand why this image is deeply upsetting and recognized that we got this wrong.
Starting point is 00:10:11 We removed it from our channels and are working to remove it everywhere it appeared. This should not have happened and we will do better. Okay. So that's the first time I'm hearing that. But I also have not heard what were we supposed to see. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. What was, what was the inspiration? And if you're out there and you're in our super chat maybe
Starting point is 00:10:34 and someone has been able to kind of align on what was the intended message. Yeah, because, you know, to that guy's point, to your point, it's like it has to go through multiple levels of approval. Well, not only that, but at a lot of these things, it's like they give the inspo. Right? Like, if you've ever been around like a marketing thing, you sit in a meeting and whoever's pitching there kind of like, I think this is a good way to. Right. It's inspired by like, here's conversation or here's this artist that is from this era that represents this thing.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Here's this textures and lighting. And listen, and I'm not a marketing person, but I've been in those meetings where literally. literally the lighting, the colors, the choice, every single detail is to send a message. Yes, every single detail. So when you look at that ad, because I heard people saying, yeah, but it's just a pair of hanging shoes. I said, no, it's not. Did you see the light the way it shaped a white hood?
Starting point is 00:11:40 Well, and also like, why, why, why? But that once again, why, why, what were you trying to do? Now, y'all know me, I think that the nefarious ways that white supremacy works and has worked historically is to constantly enrage and keep black and marginalized people emotionally invested and constantly head on a swivel, worried about all of these things, while other things, That we don't now have the capacity to focus on because we're so emotional about a sneaker ad We're missing those things Could be because you because listen my conspiracy theory friends said the same listen They'll put it out it'll trend everywhere There's no such thing as bad PR and then they apologize and it's all good
Starting point is 00:12:39 So go to clip where's the guy talking to the baby Well-deserved pushback on a really terrible ad and so they pulled the ad. But the important thing to understand is ads like this have so many people involved. There's creative agencies, artists, directors, the companies involved, the parent companies involved, legal, there's all sorts of layers and ad like this has to get through. For artists and professionals that work in visual media, they know exactly what they're doing. They make a living out of the choices they make playing with light and shadow, contrast in color, context and setting. Their entire career is based on being able to go thousands of layers
Starting point is 00:13:11 deep in all the minute decisions about creating one image. So it is absolutely really to assume that the people that created this image made conscious choices and knew exactly what they were creating. Now here's the rough part. What did they create? OnVers' logo is a five-pointed star and they created light imagery that created what looked like a Clu-Clux Klan hood at the top point of the star. Why is that so relevant? Because they also use darkness to obscure the arm holding a pair of shoes creating the image that looks as though a pair of shoes and legs are swinging and dangling, which conjures the image of hanging or lynching. And then beyond that, there are five pairs of hanging. of shoes in a circle around as though they are watching this event.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Everything in this image screams of racial injustice. Everything in this image screams of lynching. Everything of this image screams of deep roots of racism and hate towards a black community. This advertisement is absolutely unacceptable. And people who deny what's in that imagery like, oh, it doesn't look like those shoes are hanging. Clearly an arm holding it. It is not clear and it is obfuscated for a reason.
Starting point is 00:14:13 And people who do not see that should not be trusted in their opinion. Here's the bigger, scarier question. We're seeing a lot of very questionable ads coming out right now. Are people in the room making these decisions just this blind, just this stupid? Or are people in these rooms making active decisions to use rage bait as an advertising tactic? On the surface, you could use rage bait to get views. But there's a deeper analysis where some people are suggesting that corporations are using these rage bait ads as a way to artificially lower their stock value during a stock buyback.
Starting point is 00:14:46 A couple quarters go by and their stock is right back where it used to be because we don't stick with our anger. We still mad at Pepsi for the Kylie Jenner Police Brutality ad. Are we still mad at Levi's for the Sidney-Sweeney eugenics ad? I have a sneaking suspicion that corporate America is banking on our short memories and being able to rage bait us for views and stock manipulation. I do not want to live in a world where that is normalized. Man. So my rage will not be forgotten. I didn't think it was going to go there.
Starting point is 00:15:14 That's what I'm saying. going to go there at all. But it's a real conversation if you care at those levels, right? If you care to pay attention at those levels where they play with us to get
Starting point is 00:15:30 promo, they play with us to, at financial times, you know, stock buybacks if they could drive the price down a little bit, you know, get some savings on the buybacks, and then the stocks go up and they make money. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:44 So, you know, listen, it's Ebro-Lauro, a Roosmer show we just like to point this stuff out. I don't have a solution other than the awareness, you know. I would say stay woke, but it didn't co-opted that too. Using our rage. They spun woke into something that we don't even want to say no more. Yeah, bro, which is so wild. Now it's like, they turn woke into the boogeyman.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Who, woke, woke. Oh, you're woke. oh no we don't do woke politics we don't do I do I do on the Ebro Laura Rosenberg show coming up in the rundown what are you going to be working on in a few minutes So we're going to cover the VMAs You know Ed Shearin had something to say on stage So we'll play you that video
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah As you heard CNN, MS now and political Have been banned from the White House I'll explain why And just some positive updates about what's happening in the city And our mayor, Zoron, Mom Donnie So I'll give you all that in the rundown Okay
Starting point is 00:16:43 the Ed Shearing fallout which you'll get to in the rundown, Laura Stiles. Are you taking a back that is still going on this long? No. Yeah, I knew it was going to take this long. Okay. Yeah, I'm not surprised by it. Shack is catching heat.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Shack's a guy. I'll call him my guy. We've been cool. I met Shaq through K. Slay. Okay. Many years ago. But he's not somebody I talked to. but if I saw him, I'm sure we'd say what up.
Starting point is 00:17:17 If anybody out here is upset and surprised as Shaquille O'Neal being, you know, wanting to be a sheriff or wanting to be an honorary FBI. Congratulations. You plagued yourself. I was shocked, though, that he was up there with Cash Patel. I didn't expect to see that. I think that's the... I think that's the big word for most people.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Upset, yeah. Well, Shaq is now getting into it with what? At least three people on social media. Oh, yeah. This guy Big Matt that I've been following for a while from Oakland. Drinkable Brian, shout to him. I've been following him for a while. And then there's also a streamer that Shaq is getting at, too.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Let's get to the streamer there on 13, Rahsaan. Yesterday, Shaq became an honorary FBI special agent. He was presented to shit by Cash Patel. of all people. Now, just optically, this looks horrible. But if you're Shaq, you don't give a shit. And this, this isn't, this isn't nothing new for Shaq. Like, he always gets these, like, honorary cop medals, any town he's in. The guy just likes being law enforcement. I don't understand it. That doesn't, bro, I don't like Shaq. I liked them when I was a kid and then I grew up. He doesn't even understand the implications of being seen with somebody like Cash Patel smiling and
Starting point is 00:18:32 joking and kiki and shit. Like, we're at a, we're at a moment in time where you can no longer be an objective observer of what's happening in this country. If you align yourself, with maga bullshit, if you align yourself with Trump, then people should ostracize you. They should cast you out of society. You shouldn't have any friends. You know what? The crazy thing is, I may have some like viewers or listeners who don't even know who the fuck. He is. He is the Trump appointed FBI director. He was literally just in a Senate hearing a couple days ago, where he tried to defend changing the FBI rules so that a history of beastiality is no longer an automatic disqualifier for the job. He actually said that shit. In what world? Is that okay?
Starting point is 00:19:08 All of evidence points to him being a supporter of January 6th. He's fired FBI agents who took part in racial justice protest. According to the New Yorker, he even fired an agent trainee who kept a gay pride flag on their desk. And here's Shaq, with a big old goofy smile on his face, seemingly unaware of what this looks like. And y'all love him. Some of y'all love Shaq. I don't know what he could do to make you not love him anymore. Have y'all heard the stories of all the shit he used to do to his teammates?
Starting point is 00:19:31 Gary Payton attested to it. Allegedly on one account, he took a teammate's toothbrush and shoved it up his own ass and then put it back in the guy's locker. Multiple former teammates of Shaq claimed that he used to save a week's worth of urine and feces and he would pour it on rookies. Unprovoked. Alleged. All alleged. He also allegedly took a shit in somebody's shoe, bro. This is weird.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Remember the shit he said about Angel Reese? That's supposed to be a father figure. He told her to wear short shorts so more people would watch her play basketball. He said that shit. It's on video. And y'all love him just because the nigga made Shazam in that movie Steel. Oh, my God. Now, Shaq responded to her.
Starting point is 00:20:04 That's highlight real ASMR. Shout to him getting that Shack. Let me see what Shaq said. You don't have to like me. You don't have to have to have a real drive. You live in your mom's house. Why should anybody listen to your orders for clicks? You still broke.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Keep using people like me for clicks. Your plan ain't working. You're a follower. I'm a leader. Get a job and maybe we'll believe you. Your page sucks. Now, Shaq, that ain't, you know that. That ain't going to fly, buddy.
Starting point is 00:20:31 They cooking you, Shaq, for the right reasons. You realize that. Now, Shaq, started getting so much bread out here, you know, and has been for so long, let's be honest. He's probably, we talked about this with Robert Kraft and people last week. They are so in their own world getting hundreds of millions of dollars for him to even respond.
Starting point is 00:20:55 I'm shocked. For him to respond like that, it's pretty sad, if we'll be honest. He's been clapping back for years. He's been clap back in that kind of way. I've seen him do that. And he does great things in the community, by the way. But I've seen him clack back a lot in that kind of way. In that way.
Starting point is 00:21:15 And they're like, you're broke and get a job. I've never seen him clap like that. I've seen him get at people with bars, though. Oh, yeah. Now, this is my guy Big Matt. And I say my guy loosely. I just follow him on the ground. Never met him before.
Starting point is 00:21:29 But he's from Oakland. So I've never met him before. Cash Patel yesterday says, congratulations to our newest FBI National Academy. Academy graduates. FBI was honored to be joined by one of the best supporters of law enforcement in the country. You fucking around, she quail. You know, sometimes it's okay to say fucking no, you know? But you ain't special.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Now, Big Matt's also law enforcement. This guy right here for me. Because I have favorite athletes. Lawrence Taylor was one of them. They called me Baby Shack when I was in high school. But I stand on morals and principles. You fucking with that, nigga. You from Norke, New Jersey.
Starting point is 00:22:19 You fucking with that clown-ass, nigga? Fuck you, man. See this shit? This is money. Money, my nigga. Money. You feel me? You can't be making shoes for low-income people,
Starting point is 00:22:37 and you sit next to this motherfucker who basically said, applicants can conduct themselves in bestiality. You stupid, nigga. You're stupid, nigga. You was my favorite. Like, you know, you niggas is hurting people's hearts out here. So, fuck you.
Starting point is 00:22:55 I'm gonna say, my God, though. We got time. We got time today. Trash, nigga. Basically, Matt walks out and throws away his Shaquille O'Neill stuff in the trash. Oh, man. Listen, I'm sure Matt didn't know that Shaq was going to respond. Do we have Shaq's response?
Starting point is 00:23:20 Dr. Shaquale O'Neill says, I hear you broke boy Have a great time in your apartment with your family Well let's get one thing straight I ain't your fucking boy I'm a whole ass man out here So let's get that shit straight I ain't your fucking boy
Starting point is 00:23:37 I was just a who supported your ass With your whack ass fucking movie blue chips Your whack ass Shack Fu Kung Fu game Your bummy ass sneakers Your low free throw percentage Your inability to have a fucking conversation
Starting point is 00:23:54 without sounding like how is her up I was just a dude who was a fan of you you know what I'm saying but clearly my video has reached out to Shaquale O'Neill and a person who makes
Starting point is 00:24:07 sneakers for low-income families and shit is just spewing classism and my fucking embodies did you learn that from Mr. Harrison your stepdaddy? You know the one who stepped up when your biological father didn't bother
Starting point is 00:24:19 the one who you told the whole world and still discus discipline and integrity to do the right thing to never quit did he teach you this shit to or now all of a sudden when a nudge call you out now you from norc now you from the bricks now word well i'm from oakland calum fucking fool you and i'm a retired non-commissioned officer who's standing on rules and principles i used to rock with your goofy ass and now you up here politicking with muzzas who protect pedophiles but you mad at me though because i'm a real solid combat veteran two tours i'm a homeowner
Starting point is 00:25:01 and whether you're an ex fat out of shape basketball player or a regular on the street i ain't going to ever let no try to flex on me like i ain't got shit i'm a homeowner nizu ain't done special but this shit mine oh my god he cook though he could go ahead big mac cook up he could but yo shack you deserve all of this man No, and listen, people are fed up and rightfully so. If you're at the level of a Shaquille O'Neal, Stephen A. Smith, you know, they're coming for you. Yeah, man, at this point, you should know, man. Like, you should know what that comes with.
Starting point is 00:25:45 It's like you're co-signing. So it doesn't matter. If you're up there, Kicking, being, you know, super friendly, doing all these photos up with these people, it's sad. and what do you expect your audience not to feel away? Like, look at all the damage they're doing to our country, to our communities. It's all a domino effect. It's affecting everyone. He deserves it.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I'm sorry. Well, and the response that Shaq has given is definitely a... Congratulations. You play yourself. Definitely. No one around him totally. Maybe it's not a good idea. Or I screwed up, guys.
Starting point is 00:26:19 And maybe he can't say it yet. Maybe he's, you know, listen, you guys all know, people out here doing the dance. they're doing the dance everybody doing the dance right now that's at a certain level trying to make sure they ensure their bags keep their bags
Starting point is 00:26:33 and keep their position in a country that's getting pulled from all the ends everybody's shoulder shiming and dancing if you're at a certain level right
Starting point is 00:26:45 trying to stay in good graces in close proximity to the money because I'll tell you what look and you guys you know people people get at me about this too you know there is a conversation to be had about you know access to capital and being able to funnel
Starting point is 00:27:02 that capital back into your neighborhoods and into the people you love which is super frustrating because in the process of doing said things you end up hobnobbing shoulder shimmy in at events with people that you may not agree with yeah and so then someone goes yo let's get a pick now this whole thing with him I don't think Shaq had to accept that unless I don't I don't know who's financed Shaq these days and the Papa Johns
Starting point is 00:27:36 is and all of the because isn't he like in some hundreds of billions of all these people in the hundreds of millions of dollars bracket is getting moved around and selling and using their likeness for ads and all that stuff to get to these VC people they're getting moved around
Starting point is 00:27:54 in the circles pay attention to it you're seeing it a lot by the way as they try to access more capital and stay close to this bread for the next what do you think like at least 24 months until there's some sort of election and we can you know change this around and get some people in the office that actually
Starting point is 00:28:15 might have some progressive views on how to move us forward instead of backwards you know and this administration is so thirsty for a photo op well that's what it is So thirsty. It's like, how do you not see this? Like, you can't, I, you cannot be this blind, you bro. Well, no, I don't think it's this blind.
Starting point is 00:28:34 It's whether or not I think that these people can say no. How over leveraged are you financially to where you've gotten yourself into an agreement where whoever's financing you now is said, hey, the FBI wants to give you an honorary award. Can you say no? Yeah. don't know what his personal ties are, so who knows? Or his personal endeavors. Because that's the other part of this administration.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Some people have things that they've done in the past that they don't want to come to the light. I'm not saying that's shack. I'm just saying it's people. Because we've seen that. Yeah, it could be all of the above, bro. It can't. Because we've seen that. because, you know, I saw people going there on Shaq
Starting point is 00:29:31 with regard to Cash Patel and the whole protection and Epstein Files and pedophile protector, not a-a-da-da-da, and them trying to bring up, you know, if Shaq had some things going on in the past. This is, oh. So, you know, that's why Shaq responding to people like this just keeps it going on, keeps the conversation going on and on. That's not the move to just be calling people who have supported you for so long, bro.
Starting point is 00:30:08 In Toronto, every arrival is a statement, and nothing says it better than this. Cadillac Optic was the number one selling luxury EV in Canada for 2025. Starting point is 00:30:39 Do you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know, the same way you can skip an ad? I get it. I'm Siaiaia and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today, I'm still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better. Apparently, that's how I roll.
Starting point is 00:31:01 So bundle up and come along for the point. Wompy Ride. Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem. Yeah, it's sad. Anyway. Yeah. But speaking of celebrities and photo ops, Jake Paul and Logan Paul. I thought you were going somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Jake Paul and Logan Paul were up there at the, at the Pentagon with Pete Hegg said. They asked them to get up in front of soldiers. If I understand this correctly. Let me see clip 11. Do what? They're calling it a scene out of the movie Idiocracy, as Logan and Jake Paul have taken to the Pentagon to lecture America's service members. This happened during the height of the war in Iran. As American troops are putting their lives in the line abroad, Pete Hexseth and the Trump administration brought Logan and Jake Paul influencers to the Pentagon in an effort to lecture service members about being war fighters.
Starting point is 00:31:59 This video was posted on the official Pentagon page that you can see the Paul's meeting with Pete Hexeth. as well and the internet is on fire from this video saying what are we doing on the right the left the center they all kind of said this isn't what the pentagon should be doing while america's at war let me know your thoughts follow for more congratulations you plagued yourself every day bro this is such a clown show now we're paying attention to this i think it was saturday Lou, didn't you send us some social media post that Netanyahu got whisked away for a meeting and Trump got whisked away from a meeting and there was some sort of emergency thing about to happen with the Iran conflict?
Starting point is 00:32:46 So I think it was reported either this morning or late last night. The New York Times actually said what it was. They were going to attack the Houthis. I think Saudi Arabia had to ask to attack the Houthis in that region. The Houthi rebels. Yeah, which they had to be able to. I already bombed the railroad, which you know was how Saudis was
Starting point is 00:33:03 getting oil from the east side of the Arabian Peninsula to the west and the Yemeni, the Houthis attacked that. Right. And apparently Trump said no. He made that decision late last night or early this morning. So you know,
Starting point is 00:33:18 I heard that diesel gas is $10 a gallon. We're getting there. Close. Close? Not quite yet. There was seven when I saw. Seven. I saw seven.
Starting point is 00:33:31 And then there was a, I heard a rumor over the weekend that they were saying truck drivers wanted to go on strike or something. How they do that is crazy. Well, will that bring the gas prices down? No. So, why would we? Wait, yes, Griff. So I've seen one of these protests that the truck drivers did. It was in L.A. years ago.
Starting point is 00:34:01 They were driving past Disneyland. Yeah. Stop six trucks across the highway. Block the highway. And then got out of the cars and left. Just to cause traffic. Just to cause traffic. And what do...
Starting point is 00:34:14 That's their strike. But what is the outcome? What are we looking to accomplish it? We don't know what... If you're a truck driver, maybe you can jump with the Super Chat or maybe you can call 844-E-L-L-R-3. Striking, when the diesel fuel prices are high, which I get it, right?
Starting point is 00:34:32 Truck drivers need to then charge more for their services. The companies may not want to pay more. So maybe that's what the strike is, where it's like, hey, I got to pay more for gas. Y'all got to pay more for your services, but the contracts are already in place so the truck drivers are losing money. Yeah, I mean, that makes sense. Maybe it's just enough people, if enough truck drivers protest, then enough stores don't get whatever they need to get. and then maybe it gets to Trump and these company owners like, hey,
Starting point is 00:35:01 chill out with the war a little bit because this is causing it. I don't know if it's up to them anymore. I think it's so, like, you would have to get Iran. Like, at this point, Iran is not afraid. Like, what are we even talking about?
Starting point is 00:35:18 Yeah, I guess these truck drivers and these companies are hoping for public pressure. Yeah, but who did y'all vote for? Yeah, but who did y'all vote for? truck driver people's because I remember seeing tons of little motorcades with truck drivers in support of Donald Trump. Of course. Now, I'm not saying that's all of them, but.
Starting point is 00:35:42 People don't care until it affects them directly, bro. We know that. Well, no, but y'all could have just listened to people telling y'all what it would, instead of listen to the propaganda machines that's lying to y'all. But y'all think that the empathetic, thoughtful people are the one lying to you. For some reason, y'all thought that the corporations and the white supremacists and those people were the ones who would tell y'all the truth. Here we are.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Here we are. Not the black and brown people who have been marginalized and dealing with this for generations, telling y'all, hey, man, these people are the real evil here. Don't believe them. They're the ones with the victim mentality, remember? I'm telling you, bro. Congratulations. You played this out.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Let's get to the rundown, Laura Stowis. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Turn that up. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still cut up. Light still flashing.
Starting point is 00:36:47 We don't slow up. All right, Ed Sheeran hit the stage during his Philly show and got emotional while talking about McElmore being removed from the tour. This all happened on Saturday. He told fans he was personally appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Telling his fans that he was sorry after making mistakes, check out the video.
Starting point is 00:37:10 This is not usually how I would open the show, but before I play some songs tonight, I hope it's okay if I say a few words about this last week. I'm used to my music being criticized, and I'm always happy to take that because I'm lucky a lot of you like my stuff and I'm not surprised that other people don't, you know, it's normal. But this week, the criticism was about something much more important and I've had to take and make difficult decisions
Starting point is 00:37:40 and I am making mistakes and I'm so, so sorry. I don't want to disappoint fans and I've never wanted to be an activist musician but this has put me in the middle of an important and passionate argument about freedom of speech and the most complex political issue on the planet. My concerts have always been a safe space for everyone, and that matters hugely to me. Honouring my commitment to my fans is also completely central to who I am, and that is why I'm here tonight, on my own, and continuing my current tour.
Starting point is 00:38:28 But I am deeply worried about the idea that venues should pre-approved content of performers. This happens in so many places that I perform around the world, but it should never happen in the free world. Now, I want to address the question of where I stand in the situation in Israel and Palestine, and whether my doing this concert here tonight implies where I stand. I have tried in my career not to be a political commentator of any kind, because I want my music and shows to be about unity, not division, about humanity, not politics. But this is a humanitarian issue. and I cannot hide how I feel about it anymore.
Starting point is 00:39:14 What happened in Israel and at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain. What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate. My heart has been broken by the scale of devastation and loss of civilians' lives, of children's lives. And the systemic injustice we're seeing unfold in the West Bank cannot be overlooked. I honestly am so grateful that you're here tonight with me. Tears be pissing people off, you ever know of that?
Starting point is 00:39:56 This concert is still a place where everyone is welcome and everyone here can stand beside people that have opposing views and everyone here can stand by people that they don't agree with on everything, but they can all agree on singing these songs. But I feel you, I mean, it's scary times, you. And these songs are about love, hope, and unity. All right. I thought it was really interesting how he kept saying, like, I'm not an activist musician.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Like, I don't do this. But you felt moved when it came to Ukraine. You used your fame to speak out about something that moved you and that you felt very passionate about. So you've done this before. It's not the first time. Yeah, those are accepted, you know, welcomed issues to support, right? And so those are socially acceptable.
Starting point is 00:41:05 And we're clearly seeing it having honest dialogue about the history of the government of Israel, about the history of, you know, the harm. the support of the U.S. Well, actually, no, that's an acceptable conversation. We shit on the U.S. all the time in supporting and killing and maiming and bombing around the globe all the time.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Like, that's no one ever. I've never seen anybody. No. At least in modern my era, being honest and expecting the American government to do better. Have you guys?
Starting point is 00:41:48 No. No, not really. Somebody calling. out the U.S. for white supremacy, racism, genocide, bombing. When you get that, you get Colin Kaepernick situation. Right? But that was about police brutality. Right. So maybe that's a, or I guess Muhammad Ali.
Starting point is 00:42:12 And so what happened to him for. But I mean, he went to jail because he wouldn't get in the draft. Right. But not necessarily for speaking out. but not being drafted. Sports career was... Sports career after that for a few years. Maybe not standing for the National Anthem. Mahmoud Abdul Raouf.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Craig Hodges, when he read the letter at the White House that time. Okay. To George Bush, he read the letter about what the U.S. was doing in the Middle East and how it affected him as a Muslim and what his expectations were. He never got another NBA situation. after that. So, but these are all athletes. What about artists, though? I can't think of anybody. Like, and the reason I delineate between athletes and artists is because athletes oftentimes work through organizations or work, you know, for organizations that can make sure they don't move
Starting point is 00:43:13 forward. Okay. So now we have Ed Sharon. I thought it was very interesting to how the way he just delivered his message. I don't want to say this the wrong way, but I thought it was really interesting how he started off with October 7th and the Nova Festival. It was horrific. We all know that it's horrific, right?
Starting point is 00:43:35 But he was very careful in the way he covered it. Listen. Why, not saying the word genocide? Yes. And I know a lot of people, does he have to say it? But I just feel the fact that people deny what it is. People are scared to say what it is.
Starting point is 00:43:52 is. Yeah. And they dance around it and they say it's an unfortunate situation. It's a sad situation and they use whatever words they want to describe it. But it's a genocide. That's what's happening. And that to me stands out. I'm going to tell you what stands out to me. What stands out to me and all of this is people are actually scared and intimidated. Yes. Yeah. That's what stands out the most. So while we're ridiculing people for not being able to, you know, or not saying genocide when they're talking about what's happening in Israel right now, which is the complete obliteration of a population of individuals systematically, right, of not only just combatants, but also innocence, and specifically children and humanitarian aid workers and journalists.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Yes, all of it. Just do yourself a favor. Go look up interviews from Doctors Without Borders. this is the work that they do and have them talk about what they've seen and what they've witnessed. Well, even you have an NFL football player, what's my bro's name for the Texans that's getting fined? And Kyrie jumped out and paid his fine because he wore across his eye black,
Starting point is 00:45:04 Henry Jop. And this is the second time he's been fine for, you know, showing solidarity with either Palestinian individuals who have been killed or Palestine directly. Aziz al-Shahir. Aziz El Shahir. He's been fined multiple times
Starting point is 00:45:24 and this most recent one, I believe, Kai re-paid it for him. Mm-hmm. You understand? And so I say all that to say, people are afraid. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:34 People are afraid of the institutions and the elites that have a lot of power. Yeah. Who also happen to be pro-Israel and don't want this discussion being had. that's what strikes me the most.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Yeah. Right? It's because there has always been this, oh, freedom of speech, you know, this is democratic. Is it though? Is speech really free? Because it comes with consequences. Yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:46:11 It comes with significant consequences. So yeah, I get Ed Shear and being scared. And he got back on that stage. And then you saw, I don't know if you guys saw this part, but you know he had some a new band. Oh, no, I didn't see that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, he was up there and then had some buddies come out.
Starting point is 00:46:30 It was like, yo, these people decided to come on stage with me, despite everything that's going on. I loved them for that. It was a drummer and it was like three people, I think, to be his new band. And obviously, people are mad at them. And the internet FBI is running to figure out who they are because he definitely didn't say their names. That was the whole other convo.
Starting point is 00:46:52 In the clip that I saw, people was like, yo, but he didn't say who they were. They just came out there. But they got to know that people are going to hunt them down and try to figure out their name. Of course. The internet will find them. It always happens.
Starting point is 00:47:06 So we'll see. So the 2026 VMAs will air live on Sunday, September 27th, on CBS in Paramount. Snoop Dog will be the host. Okay. All right. So we'll see Snoop Dog hit the stage. The ceremony airs live from the Peacock Theater in L.A. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:47:25 The most nominated. After all the categories were added, Madonna leads with 13 nominations. Then Taylor Swift with 11. Sabrina Carpenter with nine, Ariana Grande with six and Bruno Mars with six. Wait. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:47:41 Wait, wait, wait, wait. Madonna's got the most, bro? So they're trying to get her to show up to do something. Wait, there's more. Artist of the year. Madonna. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, and Morgan Wallen. Video of the year, Madonna, Confessions to the film.
Starting point is 00:48:03 And then it's Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars. So, yeah. So they try to get Madonna in the building. Yeah. Song of the year, Madonna. So, yes. But by the way, this is on brand for VMAs, though. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:48:17 I saw some blowback. People were talking about Carisha Spin That, Young Miami Spinn That should have been song the summer. Y'all ain't must not know what the VMAs has done or not done, should I say, with hip hop for its whole thing. Griff reminded me that when Thriller was out, who'd they
Starting point is 00:48:36 pick dire straits or somebody over Thriller? It was the first video of the year ever. The Cars won. Oh yeah, the first video of the year ever on MTV VMAs, the Cars beat Thriller. So there you go. Congratulations. You played yourself. So I'm just saying,
Starting point is 00:48:54 I clearly recall hip hop always having a very specific issue with VMAs. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The Video Vanguard Award is going to be for Nirvana. Okay. So they're planning something special on Nirvana. When it comes to hip hop, let me see.
Starting point is 00:49:12 The nominees were Cardi B. and K. Lani. Don Tulliver. Cardi B. and K. K.L.A. as a song? Yes. Okay. Let me see. Don Tulliver.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Drake. Megan the Stey and Travis Scott. and Tyler the creator. Okay. So we'll see. Wait, what's song did Megan and Stallion have this year? Let me see. She's being nominated for Love a Girl.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Lover. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. All right. And moving on, did you guys see that reporters and photographers from CNN, MS now in political, had their press passes seized. I saw something. And are officially blocked
Starting point is 00:49:45 from entering the White House. MS now says that they are preparing to take legal action against President Trump, who announced that he was banning the free press. He doesn't like what they're reporting, so he's like, they're not welcome. Listen, I like that they're pointing this out. Go ahead with the lawsuit, all the things, but this has been happening, right? No, no, no. I don't think this has ever been. I thought he was kicking people out the press room already. Yeah, but officially banning. Like officially banned.
Starting point is 00:50:14 So they came in for work. I think he announced it, what is it, Friday. He came into work Saturday morning and no person attributed, like from CNN, MS now, and political can come into building. Like all the press pass, they had a hand in the press pass, can't cover anything. They're not there at all. Well, look, guys,
Starting point is 00:50:33 you can also look at it this way. They don't do nothing but lie in there anyway. So, I mean, maybe y'all are going to save a couple of dollars instead of waste of your time getting in that room asking questions that they're not going to answer or they line us anyway.
Starting point is 00:50:45 Like maybe that, but I also, this is on brand for Trump. This is important, though. But this is on brand for them. Yeah. Guys, they've already co-opted and taken control over. all of the big media
Starting point is 00:50:56 and big, big media and platforms for that, for that matter. Hell, on your IG, if you say certain things, your video getting whatever. TikTok is run by the Ellison family. Paramount Plus. Paramount Plus is CBS. Barry
Starting point is 00:51:12 Weiss. They're taking shows off 60 minutes or reports off 60. All this is happening, guys. Like, hell, Jimmy Kimmel can't interview James Salarico. It's got to move over here. Colbert's out Jimmy Kimball's obviously deciding he's out
Starting point is 00:51:27 Disney doesn't want pressure with the White House so yes to everyone's point this is a big deal should be noted and all that but it's also on brand I don't know if this has happened to you Louis or you actually I try to leave a comment on a post and I wanted to use the word racist
Starting point is 00:51:46 and it wouldn't allow me Oh for sure I could not use the word racist hate speech or whatever it won't let you do Yes Yeah. Yeah. Wild.
Starting point is 00:51:54 There's things, there was, I think it was a comment I tried to make. It wasn't even nothing like that. Uh-huh. They were like, uh, this is a tribute to hate speech. We will not let you do the comment. Yeah, you just can't use it. So let's get to some positive news. All right.
Starting point is 00:52:08 New York City mayor, Zoran, Mom Donnie just marked the repair of the city's 200,000th pothole of the year. Hey. And it was in Bushwick. Pot hole politics is what they're calling it. Yes, and people try to find a way to twist it and be mad. How can you be mad at this, man? How?
Starting point is 00:52:28 Well, you could live in a place that doesn't have pothole issues, and you don't think that this has been a big deal in New York City or you haven't paid attention to it because it doesn't affect you. Or you don't live in New York City at all, at which point we would tell you, F-G out of here. Why do you even have an opinion? But there's definitely people who don't understand how much,
Starting point is 00:52:49 just like seeing pot holes on the street, obviously trash and things like that not being picked up effects just morale around the city. And so this thing is a big deal for people because it shows effort about something that we constantly would talk about. Yeah. So, but listen, I'm happy.
Starting point is 00:53:08 This is great news. Oh, we have a video. Hi, 311. We've got the 200,000 pot-oh. Thanks for calling 311. My name is Ramel. I may I help you. Gotcha. We got it
Starting point is 00:53:24 Cute Venn Listen, you guys know this is Mayor Mom Donny radio up here There's no way around it Rosenberg's been trying to fight it If you just tuned in obviously it's Yon Kippur So Rosenberg's out But Rosenberg's been trying to fight it
Starting point is 00:53:50 But his dad is more of a fan than we are Multiple shirts at all Well, and coming to find out Zoron when we interviewed him Was like I never sold shirts So those are all bootlegs with shout to him And then shout it out to bootleggers. I'm into it. But that's all you got for the rundown.
Starting point is 00:54:06 That's it. That's the rundown. Did we get an outro yet? We asked them last week for outro. Now, I've also heard from some friends of mine who are radio people who are watching or listen to the show, however they're getting this ELR, the Ebrolo or Rosenberg show, saying that when I hit that intro, it should be a video that plays. There should be some sort of Laura rundown graphics that play on the video. How do you guys feel about that? Rassan?
Starting point is 00:54:37 It's an idea. It's an idea. You don't seem to love it. You don't love it. It's cool. Wait, why don't you love it? No, I like it. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:54:53 I would have to get the audio set up the video. And you just play it. Yeah, and I'll just play it. And you would just play it. Yeah. So you like it? I like it. Well, so when they brought it to my video.
Starting point is 00:55:04 my attention shout to my man freeze he brought he brought it up he was acting as if this had never come up before and I was like now we brought it up but it didn't seem like people really cared that much and as you can see from Rassan he doesn't he doesn't feel like it's a priority the question for the audience is should we trust Rassan's taste and production uh uh you know his production mind or should we be pushing Rassan to do better That's a question for anybody that is in the super chat or watches Patreon or however you communicate with us in the Patreon chat. Should, as you've been watching the show for the last nine months, based on the production value, should we be listening to Rassan or pushing Rassan to do better? The people want the graphics.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Oh, they want the graphics. They want the graphics. Damn. We need the graphics then. We need the. What's going on in super chat, Luke? We only got two super chats. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:01 So, and shout out to BK. Asian 86 said need to watch for the Natsa documentary. Yeah, I heard about the Natsa documentary. So basically... Oh, I need to watch that. And also, you know, Netanyahu over the weekend, like ban the people who made the documentary from being citizens in Israel.
Starting point is 00:56:20 No, no, I hear that they're scared of coming home because they're going to be, yeah, arrested. And there's so many people who had been doxing them, their family members. It's a huge thing. Now, these are Israeli folks who made this documentary. And there are people in Israel who are against the Israeli government have been since before October 7th, have been against Netanyahu, et cetera, et cetera. So this isn't like some rogue individuals.
Starting point is 00:56:48 There's large communities, hundreds of thousands of people in Israel who are not happy with what their governments do. And can't really say anything. And this is definitely not something that the U.S. would normally be supportive of. So yeah. Is that it for the superchats? And we have one more. One second. You lost it.
Starting point is 00:57:07 One more. Shout out to J.W. 4789, who just gave us $5. Oh, thank you. J.W. always comes through. What you got, Laura? All right, really quickly.
Starting point is 00:57:16 I want to shout out Amanda Lorian 128. Now, her husband is a fatt. Well, they both are, and they said that they listen to the show. And usually when they both come home at nighttime, they kind of discuss what happened on the show. But she has a really creative way of using, like, little tidbits of our show to, like, wish him a happy birthday. They're fought, five. So he hit me up and he was like, please shout out my wife because she's amazing and we're both huge fans. So Amanda Lorian 1-28 on Instagram, shout out to you. Oh, that's beautiful. Love you guys. Yes, Griff.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Cozy Earth. Yes. So we got a shout out Cozy Earth. First of all, that code ELR, still in effect, 20% off home and sleepwear. Starting point is 00:58:56 Laura, so you said you have bedding and sleepwear. Uh-huh, and towels. And towels. Yeah. So we're going to gear up for the one. winter months here. And do we have like a representative at Cozy Earth that we can talk to?
Starting point is 00:59:09 Yeah, I mean, we have somebody. Can we, can we talk to somebody there so that we could get recommendations like, for instance, I bought sheets for the summer. I have like the summer kind of weighted duvet situation. Do I need to level up for winter now? Or will
Starting point is 00:59:28 the stuff that I, you know what I mean? Obviously, they're going to want me to buy more stuff because that's how they make money. But I just wanted to know, any Cozy Earth winter recommendations. Yeah, and just so you know with the pajamas, you can choose shorts and short sleeve, you can use pants and log sleeve, so you can kind of customize whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:59:43 There you go. CozyEarth.com. ELR is the code. 20% off. Go get it. Are we ready for the guru? Let's do it. The gurus, Rosenberg. It's all right. You know you are a beautiful queen.
Starting point is 00:59:57 Ebro. Don't ever play yourself. You're not a guru. The original gurus at gmail.com. Your destination for clarity. Send us your emails. We need you. All right, Ebro, buckle up.
Starting point is 01:00:11 This is kind of long, so I'm going to skip some parts because it's a lot, but let's try to help this person out. Dear gurus, I'm reaching out because I'm completely heartbroken and feel like my family has been torn apart. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, and after everything we've built together, he left our family and moved to Florida to be with another woman. This is especially painful because he met,
Starting point is 01:00:32 he met her through his job that I actually helped him get at USPS. Before I found out the truth, he was telling my family that he felt, no, that he left because our marriage wasn't working out. He made it seem like the problems in our marriage were the reason for everything. But looking back now, he had already checked out of our marriage
Starting point is 01:00:51 and was planning his next move. At the grown age of 49 years old, he chose to make such a childish decision instead of handling the situation like a grown man and being honest about what he was doing. I have since found out evidence going back to 2024 that shows he wasn't, that he wasn't, it wasn't something that just happened overnight.
Starting point is 01:01:10 The entire time, I didn't know it was happening. And I was still being his wife. I was still cooking for him, still intimate. We were sleeping in the same bed. Meanwhile, I had no idea there was another side to his life that he wasn't telling me about. So he continued to deny it. He made me believe that his decision to leave
Starting point is 01:01:27 was about our marriage and the problems we were having. And I blamed myself for so long. Then I discovered text messages that told me a completely different story. He was also sending this woman large amounts of money for years, which I knew nothing about what we were trying to keep our family together. Seeing those conversations with my own eyes was devastating and it showed me that another woman was involved and it went much deeper. After 15 years together, I believe I at least deserve truth. I'm not saying that I was a perfect wife, but we have been together for such a long time and I know that there were times where I said hurtful things in our marriage. and I take responsibility for my mistakes,
Starting point is 01:02:02 but I do believe there's a difference between acknowledging problems in a marriage and secretly planning another life. What hurts me the most is what he's done to our children. We have an 11-year-old and a 4-year-old who are hurting two. They went from seeing their father every single day to experiencing drastic changes in their lives. They didn't ask for any of this.
Starting point is 01:02:22 I know one day he will understand, I know one day he will understand the damage that his choices did and caused, only to me, but till his children. And after all the lies and secrets, everything I discovered and everything our family has been put through, there is one thing I need him to hear loud, louder than anything else. You plagued yourself. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Starting point is 01:02:45 You plagued yourself. We both used to watch the show together, so I know he'll know this is about him. Oh, man, that's sad. This is sad. There was some chunks I had to jump over because there's a very long email, but. So, here's the thing. the overlap she's of the relationship before we get to like her main question which was it was really just she wanted him to hear this it wasn't really like she even had a question she was just hoping he's listening to the show that's right and now can hear the pain that was caused by his decision it also sounds like she's trying to you know understand the overlap yeah i think you know most of the time you know most of the time you know there's not a clean break when it comes to someone either cheating and leaving the relationship
Starting point is 01:03:37 or leaving the relationship. There was the there's that long because it's 15 years. So there's that long extended period of you're working on the relationship. Yeah. As things are deteriorating. Yeah. And there's this effort to like try to work on it. One or both parties I've heard both scenarios can be out actively being distracted from that work. because they started being distracted because they were unhappy with the relationship. Then there was conversations about trying to like fix it. But meanwhile,
Starting point is 01:04:08 they was one foot out the door. Yes, yes, yes. So that's pretty normal. Yeah. The large amounts of money is tough. Large amounts of money is tough, but he was definitely setting up shop somewhere else. That's right.
Starting point is 01:04:20 I think she's just more hurt because she just wanted to hear the truth. And for a long time, he was basically kind of like blaming her. And she was blaming herself for problems in the marriage. He had been checked out. Well, no, look, yes, he had been checked out. And some of the things that maybe you and him, the problems that you had that you caused or that he caused, those are still valid reasons that he checked out.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you got to kind of, if you're looking to get beyond this, you got to unpack all of the different things in its kind of own compartment, which most people just jumble it all together. And you're just like, because clearly she's reminded of the pain constantly because the kids are probably with her more often. and so she's navigating questions from the kids probably more than he has to. Right, right, right. And she's making it sound like he doesn't even see his kids at all.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Yeah, I mean, that's what she said. They went from every day to hardly. So, and then he told her family that they left, that he left the marriage because it wasn't working out, but it wasn't working out. He wasn't happy anymore. And to your point, he stepped out, he found something else.
Starting point is 01:05:23 He was setting up shop. So I don't think anything that we say is going to make you feel better. No. And, yeah, the child. The child part is the hardest to me because you have a four-year-old and I can't even imagine and an 11-year-old who understands what's going on. But yeah, I mean, this is what he chose to do. He moved away to a different state with another woman, send her large amounts of money
Starting point is 01:05:43 to start their new family. That's exactly what happened. Well, and look, the whole, like, innocence lost for your kids is tough. But now that you're here with them, it's a good time to talk about how parents are not perfect. and their dad, who's a human being, is obviously dealing with something, went through something, going through something, has something in his past, whatever it is, that made him think that what he's doing right now was the best decision for him, which is obviously painful to the kids
Starting point is 01:06:19 and to you. It's terrible. But at a certain point, that bridge is going to have to get crossed and it's going to get discussed between the kids and their father. Mm-hmm. and you have to find some kind of safety. And what I mean, safety is like a safe space to be able to just talk this through.
Starting point is 01:06:35 You have to get, go see a therapist to help you because I know you're angry and you're going to continue dealing with these emotions, especially with your children. Well, you got let down. Yes. You got betrayed. They got let down too.
Starting point is 01:06:48 They got let down. Then there's the heartbreak, a mourning of a loss. How long ago did this happen? Did she say? I mean, the cheating started in 2024, so he just left. So it's been like three. So it's, it's new. Newish, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:04 It's raw. It's fresh. Man, I'm sorry. It's going to be years. By the way, buckle up. It's going to be years of being angry. Yeah. I mean, it's not fair, and I know it hurts, but you're going to have to move on.
Starting point is 01:07:16 This relationship is done. And now just focus on yourself and your children. That's all you can do now. One day, you'll be able to say it's better to have loved. loved and lost than to not have loved at all. Beautiful. Today is not that day and you want to tell me, fuck out of here.
Starting point is 01:07:35 And I understand that too. But for her, hit the congrats. Why? Congratulations. She feels that deep down, he knows he played himself. Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. Oh, man, sending you a lot of love.
Starting point is 01:07:47 All right, man. So say the gurus. Yeah. Another lovely ELR show. Yes, King Lou, Lou, say something that's inappropriate. on your face. Starting point is 01:08:06 Yo, you hear the enthusiasm. Now, I saw Tim in the chat. He was like, yo, let me that audio. Relax, Tim. Calm down. Yeah, shout out to Tim. Tim is the best. Yeah. He's trying to get the graphic. Yeah, he's trying to do it. Tim is got to fit the donut. It still has to fit the package, or are we just going to let people submit? No, no, no. Tim's been good. Tim's the one who helps us out with some of the clips and things. Yeah, he's also. Well, no, but this art, don't we want it to fit the logo art? Yes. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:08:33 Okay, all right, all right, all right. There you go. Shout to also my guy, Harlem Thomas out there. Happy birthday. There's a lot of big birthdays today I heard, too. Like, it was some names, right? Today's like a big. Is it? And aren't we supposed to play Earthwind and Fire? September on the outro or something? Like, today is like Earthwind and Fire Day? Sing it, don't play it, so I don't have to take it off.
Starting point is 01:08:56 Yeah, I didn't put the music in it. Wait, don't do this is what you're saying? No, no, no, no, no, chill. That's enough. That's all we at. Wait, I thought we got five seconds. You got no seconds. Come on, Iver. We don't get that part without them snatching the whole video down.
