Starting point is 00:00:00 Just don't call in a podcast. The Ebro-Lara Rosenberg shows. You're having a hard time. I guess waiting his daughter off the pacifier. But there's no mention of the past anymore. Okay. It's almost like she doesn't remember it. Listen, I'm sure she'd be hyped if we busted it back out.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Of course, of course. It's just a feeling. But the inability to self-suit. Yes, the soothing portion of it. There's no soothing. Oh, the dulcet tones you're hearing are those of our good friend, Marissa Mendes. Yay! What is the dulcet tone?
Starting point is 00:01:09 My love, the levels aren't good. There you go. I'm getting you out. Thank you, thank you. Levels are good, levels are good. Welcome, Madi. Hi, hello. Hi, hi.
Starting point is 00:01:17 We figured since Ebro's out, who better to have jump on the show than a white appearing Latin woman from New Jersey? Who better than that, you know, is Ebro or? You know, he cares about black righteousness. She cares about the backstreet boys. I do. I do. But I also care about black righteousness. You do.
Starting point is 00:01:38 You know, you're a righteous, you're a righteous gal. Yeah. You're a righteous dude. How's everybody doing? Pretty good. Pretty good. Let me see. What a weekend?
Starting point is 00:01:47 Rosenberg text me yesterday. I like show stuff and I was like, I'm going to hit you back. Yeah. I'm chasing kids through Dave and Busters. So that's what I was doing yesterday. That feels like a lot. Was that Brooklyn's Daven Busters?
Starting point is 00:01:59 from Manhattan, I can't do Dave and Busters. Brooklyn, David Busters. It's entirely too overstimulated. It's very overstimulated. I had a great time. I had to just dive in and be like, no, I'm going to play some games
Starting point is 00:02:08 and be a part of this because if I don't, I get extremely overstimulated. And I'm like, maybe a mini panic attack. So I've had to just kind of like focus and lean in and like just try to enjoy it because it's a lot. How do you do with the following Wenzha around? So yesterday it was Kenza and her cousin Waffle. So it's like it's a five-year-old and an eight-year-old.
Starting point is 00:02:31 And just hype, like, you know, going from like place to place and jumping around. So it was just me trying to keep them together so they don't split up because I can't do two, you know? Right. And also like, it's it's David Busters. Everything should be fine. Yeah. But also if you were a creep, wouldn't you go to David Buster? Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:02:50 That's like that's so much going on. That's an easy, you know. That's what I'm saying. Like it scares me to think about who the creepers that could show up there. So you got to be like... Was it just you? No, no, no, no. Ricardo was there too.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Yeah, I had other adults, but still. That's a lot to do on one person with more than one child, you know? Anyway, a lot going on. I think we should jump into this Cornell 7 conversation. They're calling it Cornell 7. Some people are really annoyed by that. She just want to start the day with gang rape in the morning.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, I mean, it's a dark story. It's a big story. It's right. Louis, it's one of the biggest... By the way, it completely missed me until Ebro sent it to our group chat last night. I think so, too. but also my my algorithm is like cats and happiness so yeah mine's my my
Starting point is 00:03:32 algorithm only gets the important stuff like um Rory and Queen's flip so I I only get the big important issues that matter yeah so no so I don't really have a gauge of like how quite how big this is although I think I think the New York Post this morning no it's literally everywhere it's like one of the biggest stories of yeah so basically so a former student she's going by Jane Doe filed a 101 page civil lawsuit alleging that she was pushed and coerced into taking drugs and ended up, you know, being the subject to hours long assault by, in this fraternity house, by seven fraternity members. And it includes evidence of a Snapchat group where the message was sent from the members to each other basically telling them to join in. Like pull up and we got this free thing going on.
Starting point is 00:04:23 It's, you know, yeah, there was literally a message that says free P. Yeah. Yes. Which I, and then, and then the first reply to it, reply to that was like, free P is wild or something like that. Like the first message is someone being like, that sounds insane. And someone else said, I love kai five. Yeah. And then people were like, I'm in.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Yeah. Mm-hmm. So after the lawsuit was revealed that Cornell's internal investigation led to no criminal arrest, while two students were expelled, the remaining. students basically received a minor disciplinary actions such as temporary suspensions, workshops, and they were told to write essays. That was the punishment. For gang raping a girl, I'm just going to write an essay about why I'm so sorry. Right. Why that was bad. I didn't understand. So, so who was expelled? Two of the seven. Yeah, two of the seven, what their essays weren't good
Starting point is 00:05:17 enough? I guess maybe they perhaps were like the ringleaders. Yeah, conspirators. Yeah, conspirators of the situation. But the others who showed up and... Just participated in the free. And raped a drugged girl. On ketamine, she said it was. So she was... And they were like snorting lines off of her.
Starting point is 00:05:35 It's disgusting. If you'd go, if you dig into the details, it is so disturbing. But, you know, the conversation really blew up because how many times have we heard of like all these sexual assaults that happen in college campuses? Like, this is a thing that is like, it's like the quiet little dark
Starting point is 00:05:53 secret that, you know, people don't like to talk about because everyone, at least I heard that it happens more than people think and they just kind of sweep it under the rug to save face. Yeah. So. Did you guys read that somewhere in one of the articles like, oh, maybe it was the Cornell student newspaper where they like ripped Cornell a new asshole. They were like, they were like during the time in which you've been keeping this undercover, the percentage of women on campus claiming.
Starting point is 00:06:23 they've had some sort of like inappropriate sexual conduct, conduct or contact has gone from 11 to 15%. So like while they were hiding it, things have literally been getting worse at the campus. Yeah, yeah. And here's a video real quick. Go to video 11. Reson.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Breaking news this morning, New York prosecutors have reopened a criminal investigation into the Cornell 7. This comes just two weeks after a Jane Doe student filed a lawsuit against Cornell University and seven Kai-5 fraternity members, alleging that she was drugged and she was gang raped, alleging that Cornell University just gave some of these students a slap on the wrist, asking them to write some essays. Well, initially, New York prosecutors declined to prosecute any of these seven fraternity members.
Starting point is 00:07:07 That may soon change. New York prosecutors overnight have announced that they are reopening the criminal investigation. They are going to be presenting all of the new evidence, or this case again, to the grand jury in central New York. Ultimately, it'll be up to the grand jurors to decide whether there is sufficient. evidence to bring forth an indictment in this case. But this only happens because of you. Yeah. Because of your advocacy. Because of you sharing videos like this one. It shouldn't have had to take mass outrage across the internet for us to get back to this point. But we are now here and prosecutors are
Starting point is 00:07:40 reopening the criminal investigation into these seven fraternity members. Spread the word. Follow for more. Isn't that crazy though? How do you get like there's enough evidence to expel two students from a major university but not enough evidence to children. My brain cannot process how insane this story is. I really am naive, I guess. Yeah. I really wouldn't think of college that would allow this to happen to a woman. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:08:04 And of course she had to drop out. So her education gone. And traumatized forever. Louis? Hold on, Louis. Hold on, Louis. Hold on, Louis. We need to hear you. Try now.
Starting point is 00:08:13 So as of this morning, prosecutors have announced that they are reopening the investigation of the gang rate. Yeah. Okay. Basically, that was, yeah, the Aaron Partners video. But it's crazy, though, because when I went on threads and Twitter, just to just see what everybody's talking about, how many people are like, yo, there's, this story is like, it's happened numerous times. It happens so often and people just hide it and just sweep it under the rug and say, hey, we don't want any bad press because then it affects funding. No major university wants any bad press.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Well, now they've got it tenfold because they hit it on top of the fact. that it actually happened. So, so a week ago, the Cornell son, I don't know when this story started taking shape,
Starting point is 00:08:55 like, but the, the Cornell son, the student newspaper in their article, the first thing they do, Matthew Ingalls, Jonathan Newell,
Starting point is 00:09:05 Winston Lee, Gillio Lopez, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris, Scott Kretschmar. These are the names of the seven men, and they just list the names
Starting point is 00:09:15 and they said, Cornell won't do it, we will. Nice. It also like, you know, we can't even really play the normal game, which I shouldn't call it a game. We can't do what we would normally do, which is sort of like,
Starting point is 00:09:28 but this is all complete hearsay. Like there's some level of concrete evidence. Because they were expelled, we know for sure. Something really happened. And there's the Snapchat. There's at least people participating in it, you know? So like between that and, you know, I'm sure Frat Brothers gave up on other ones, of course, with good reason.
Starting point is 00:09:48 They were like, these dudes are violent and are disgusting. Like, I'm sure they know who did it. So, like, I mean, the good news is by this going to the court of public opinion, if you believe, you know, societal punishment is a real thing. These dudes are finished out of it. Oh, yeah. Finished. With their names out, great.
Starting point is 00:10:07 But are they? Because the way society has been. I know. Well, I was going to say, because they're, watch, there will end up being some sort of group that supports them and raises money. and says kids will be kids, it's college. That's all, it's a great point. They were just boys being boys.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Yeah, like, and what was she like? Yeah. Did she party there? What did she do to create this environment and welcome this? Exactly. Well, no, was she someone who partied with them normally? Exactly. Because, you know, like, there are a lot of people who while out and have, I know nothing
Starting point is 00:10:39 about this person, but there are a lot of people who while out and party in college and have the right to do that without fear of being raped by people that partying with. You could be a hard partier. Yes. could do all the things. You could have slept with some of these men and that still doesn't give him the right to touch her at all. Yeah. Especially when she's completely knocked out and toxicated, done.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Can you imagine though you raise kids and I don't know, you know, what it's like here to raise boys? But can you imagine you raise boys and you get to the point where at college age they would do something like this? They would see a girl in that situation and rather than think I need to help her, they would jump in. Like what if? Like the parents should go to jail. Yeah. Yeah. It's so sad. And also the amount of people who know that this is happening and didn't choose not to say anything.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I mean, some of that could come from home, though. It could come from home. It could come from, you know, the fraternity environment. You know, you don't rat on your brothers, like all of that. But yeah, man, this is, this is a big one. And I think this is just the beginning. I have a feeling that this might be the case that might open up. Like blows the lid off of the time.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Open up for other ones. And like Cornell, we're talking. Cornell. Like this is Ivy League. Yeah, but it says isn't that Ivy League? This is Ivy League. This is like it's this is what's supposed to be.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Right. Yes, Louis. But that's probably the reason why they try to put it under the rug. Oh, for sure. Yeah. It's so prestigious. They can't have this tarnishing their name. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Exactly. Well, look what you did. Yeah. So let's see. We'll keep, you know, we'll keep you guys informed as this story continues. But man, this one was a big one. And this just happens to be the day that I'm proudly wearing my alma mater's school on my hat.
Starting point is 00:12:16 What is Maryland Terps? She literally... I have never heard of your college. I don't know. I'm so sorry. No, no. You don't expect you to know Maryland, but it comes up on the show
Starting point is 00:12:26 here and there that... I guess. It's just not something that I retain. No, I understand. The University of Maryland Terrapins. Our logo is a turtle. What is a terrapin?
Starting point is 00:12:35 It's a big scary turtle. We're a big ass scary turtle. We had a red hawk, so it's not much better. Ruck, you're at Rutgers? No. Where did you go here? Montclair State University. Monclair State.
Starting point is 00:12:46 The prestigious D3 school or D2, whatever the hell we are. Yes, Griff? My sister's a dean at Maryland. And you didn't know Griff's sister's a dean at Maryland? I literally had not even a clue. I knew you went to school somewhere over there. I would not have known about Griff's sister. You know, I went to, Laura, I went to this new vintage store.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Oh, I mean, maybe you've already been or maybe Rick's already been. Okay. It's absolutely psychotic. In a good way? Yeah, absolute madness. Madness. No, I walked in, I was like, how long have you guys been here? They were like, April.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I was like, this is fucking madness. Where is it? It is Ludlow and Rivington. I'm not going to be that guy. I'm going to share it with the people. Okay. Yeah, don't get key. Brough.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Brough. Brough. I think we're gonna knows about this. It got a lot of press. They told me they got a big complex thing. They said their opening weekend was like a huge thing. I've been out on account of like not trying to buy more. and we happened to walk by it and I was like holy
Starting point is 00:13:45 so I just all I kept it Maya was screaming going yelling walking walkie walkie walkie walk and insisting on walking and the people who worked in this vintage store with amazing stuff everywhere were not like thrilled at the one and a half year old running probably not idea of stuff we wrapped it up yeah
Starting point is 00:14:04 what do you guys think of the look of Bubba Sparks let's switch things up a little bit yeah let's go video nine he looks great Looks like an improvement. Shit, I ain't choose to rhyme. Rhyming chose me. So I hit the track running like a nosebleed.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Life ain't great now, but it's much improved. What are we can poppy? Yeah. That sucks for you. Because this is Bubba's moment. I put my mother on it. I said my mama. He looks like a down south white man.
Starting point is 00:14:32 So is this just like a... He looks amazing. If you do that. I mean, compare it to what we got when he was just like a chubby kid. He's probably early 20. when he came out. So, no, real quick, I have to imagine he has not looked like,
Starting point is 00:14:47 I mean, he has looked like that for more than five minutes. Since 2024. So has he not posted? He has. You know how people rediscover the same thing every so often? This happens with Paul Wall all the time.
Starting point is 00:14:59 What about Paul Wall? They rediscover that he has, you know, gracefully aged and all these things. I was showing Peter old pictures of him. No, I remember. No, listen, when my girlfriend said it to me, she's like, how do he turn it to a GLP1, Puerto Rico?
Starting point is 00:15:13 me. I was like, wait, what? I had to look at him. I'm like, oh my God, he looks incredible. I mean, like, he does, but he also does look like the white man that lives down south and like has a big pickup truck. Yeah, but got him like incredible. I mean, it's not, it's, you're, you're focused on the wrong thing. No, he was fat as hell. Right. He lost weight. He got a good beard, got a tan. Got a little tan. Yeah, the tan. By the way, the tan is almost, it's almost
Starting point is 00:15:34 doesn't make sense. I was reading. Well, he's in Florida. If you look at, no, if you he lives in Florida. But he was lived there when he was 22 and he came out. And he looked like my shirt. He lived in. He lived in. He lived in. He lived in Georgia. He moved to Florida in 2007. Okay, it's the same son. I researched all about the situation, okay? It's not the same sun. You're closer to the equator in Florida than you are in Georgia. You show me the video again, please. I mean, it's got a little orange tinge to it, a little bit, right? Yeah, no, he's tanning too. He's doing, he's, no, I guess maybe. Because then you, Laura pulled up the pictures
Starting point is 00:16:06 and the whiteness in the picture. Yeah. Well, he was like on a farm, doing farm stuff. That's why I think it's important because people, we should have had this, an old picture of him so you can see the difference because that's what really was surprised everyone. Yeah, Baskin, when you get a second, just pull up a random picture on Safari, bro. They did say so in all this discourse,
Starting point is 00:16:26 they're like, oh, but he's a trumper, he's a Trumper. So I looked into it. And he has explicitly denied that he is a trumper. However, the reason they are saying that is because he did a collaboration with a super-duper Trump rapper of Forgi Outo. No, don't say he did something with Forgey Outer. Giotto Blow.
Starting point is 00:16:43 And it was called Product of the South. I don't like, if you are not MAGA, why would you do that? I don't understand. I mean, if we're being honest. Okay. How many people have been offering bags to Bubba Sparks? So you think Ford Giotto Blow paid for that? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:59 I'm sure he did. Well, I guess you had to get some legitimacy. No, he, Fort Jada Blow is spending money. He's that big stupid Trump chain, right? Yes. No, his whole brand is. Yeah, I know. I just, when he's about with that chain.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Yeah. I guess. Yeah. But like all money is not good money. I'm sure Bubba's doing shows. I mean, what do they call that? The Chitlin circuit. I'm sure he's probably down there.
Starting point is 00:17:19 You would think he's moving around doing some shows here and there. I would think you would, but still, look, there's an old shot of Bubba. That's, by the way, a good picture. Yeah, that's a good one. I love that song he had with Jane to kiss. They had a little bob.
Starting point is 00:17:31 No, Louise, some of the other ones, I pulled up, you know? I mean, how old is he now? Do we know? Bubba, I'd say Bubba's my age. I give 46. How old is? I'm gonna say 49.
Starting point is 00:17:43 I'm going with 46. Let's see. He looks great. 49. Damn it, you're right. You know birthday, man. Not them having a picture of Paul Wall on the AI overreel.
Starting point is 00:17:52 See? My God. Oh, my God. That's exactly it. Yeah. Oh, no. That's why you have to, that's why you have to do all this
Starting point is 00:18:02 and take money from 4G auto blow. Because when they Google your name, they pull up a picture of Paul Wall. I hate Rosenberg because he's the first person introduced me to 4G out of blow. Really? Why was he in your algorithm? No, he was just showing me like, look at this.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Garbage. Forgiato. Amber did a song. I was just going to say, I think, I don't think a song. I think she appeared in his video. She wouldn't have done it. That's how I came up. He showed me the video.
Starting point is 00:18:25 I did see that. That is how I know who he is. And it was horrible. Horrible. Disgusting. Anything that guy is going to do is not going to be a good time. Oh, no. You do not want to, that's right, Maya.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Stay away from Forgiato Blow. A matter of any, anyone who puts Blow in their rap name, it thinks it's a good idea. Yeah. I mean, he's a Trump supporter. No, he blows so hard that he had to make name blow is crazy. What more can you expect from a man of that stature? All right.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Did you guys, we can't show anything, but. Did you talk VMAs? I was just going to mention the Trump Mom Donnie skit was funny. Sketch was funny on SNL. Yeah. With Rami playing Mom Donnie. It was good. Is he going to be the forever?
Starting point is 00:19:03 Was this his debut as Mom Donnie or no. It was Rami's second time. Got it. Why are you making a face? No, no, no, it sucks that we can't show you a thing. Yeah. And I saw the clip up. I saw one of the mini monologues of Jalen.
Starting point is 00:19:13 That was pretty cool. Yeah, he did really well. He did great. He brought the rest of the gang. The other, like, four studs on the team. And they had a really funny moment. The OG joke, I thought was really funny. When OG's like, hey, remember in game four when you missed that shot?
Starting point is 00:19:30 And Jalen's like, yeah. And he's like, you remember what happened after that? And Jalen's like, you tipped it in. And he's like, yeah, it was awesome. Like, funny. And like, it was just such a home game for them. Like, you know, so it was nice. And I like the locker room skit too.
Starting point is 00:19:44 I thought that was a fun. I love that. What was Locker was kidding on? With Keenan as an old kid and saying he was his dad. And I know my dad. He's bald as hell. And I did see Keenan playing Stephen A. Smith. Yes, in the monologue.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Keenan is such a great character actor. Yeah, it's incredible. This run is no one's ever. Literally. No one's ever doing this. No, by the way, Keenan is like me at mornings at Hot 97. No one's ever breaking this record. No, seriously.
Starting point is 00:20:11 And like, he's been doing it even pre-S&L as a kid on all that. This man's been doing it. But thing about, but SNL, you know, the run is usually a huge long run is like 10 years. Yeah. That's considered big. Was he 20? 20? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:23 Something like that. He lives there. And he still looks right. That's his show. Have you guys seen there is, Louie, I don't know if you know this. It's a, it's a, I don't know if it's a movie or a series, but I just saw a clip of it. And it was Keenan's story about him growing up and basically like, being a child star and his mom was his manager.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Yeah. And at one point, the person who was managing him basically stole all his money. Oh, stole his money. I think it was a commentary on, um, uh, it was a child actors, uh, documentary from the girl that played, I don't know, one of those child actors. She did it and she interviewed all her friends and stuff. But I was like, oh my God, it was so sad. Basically, he went to go by a house and his manager was supposed to meet him there and
Starting point is 00:21:08 the check bounce. And there was like, why don't I have any money? And that's how he found out that everything was stolen from him. Yo. It's pretty crazy. I mean, story is old as time, right? So sick. Glad he's made his money back.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Tenfold, I'm sure. Yeah, he's been all right. He's doing just fine. You wanted to mention the VMAs? Yeah. Let's go to the rundown. Oh, run down? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Run down now. Laura got the rundown. Turn that up. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still cut up. Light still flashing. We don't slow. All right, the VMAs were a little strange this year.
Starting point is 00:21:43 A little underwhelming to say the absolute. Yeah, man. So, hosted by Snoop Dog. So Madonna was, you know, the night's biggest winner, which had everybody kind of scratching their heads. I mean, I knew because they kept promoting it, right? Yeah. I did catch her performance with Sabrina Carpenter and Charlie XX.
Starting point is 00:22:01 It was cool. It was cool. She did kind of like an homage to New York City, thought was cool, brought out fat by Freddie, and other people, some break dancers. I don't know if crazy legs was on stage. I think I heard her shout him out. Not sure, not completely sure. Arrasana, you said yes? Yeah, I heard a shout off. I didn't see him on stage. Okay, okay, okay. Yeah. So, I don't want to, I just don't want to be mean. I don't want to be mean, but it's like, I was so distracted by her plastic surgery. Oh, how could you not be? And not necessarily her
Starting point is 00:22:35 face, but like that BBL was so bad, man. Yeah. Oh, no. It wasn't the best, but she's also much older. She's always been a material girl. I know, but I feel like she doesn't need that, you know? She's Madonna. Oh, Jay, cool, Jay. You know what bothers me too?
Starting point is 00:22:52 It's like, when you have that much money? I'm like, can't you hire the best of the best? Yeah, get the Chris, get the Chris Jenner surgeon on the line. Guys, time for us to have some real talk. What's that? First of all, shout out to Madonna. She dropped an album that everyone says is fire. Yeah, it was like number one and sold a lot.
Starting point is 00:23:08 It did very well. I haven't spent time with it, but it's supposed to be like a truly like fire dance album, if that's your cup of tea. By the way, shout to Tanishay. She just drops a dance album on Friday. Yeah, very, like soulful, dancey vibes. Anyways, people love the Madonna album, and that part's great. Yeah. But she is writing a book called How Not to Go Out.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Oh, I was like, is she writing a book? Yeah. The book is called, you don't keep fighting to be sexy. You have to at some point grace agefully. grace agefully or what did I say you said grace agefully that's tough one age gracefully
Starting point is 00:23:44 and just let go I know you have to like at some point I'm not going to be sexy I'm just gonna be you know auntie I'm gonna be auntie madonna well she's a little past auntie I'm gonna be great auntie Madonna
Starting point is 00:23:59 I guess she would be because I'm not against plastic surgery I think you know I was like yeah go ahead if it makes you like better I just you know there comes a point or it just, someone needs to tell you, hey, you got to stop. But you know what? If she likes it, it's her body, it's her choice.
Starting point is 00:24:14 It's her personal preference. It works for her. Who are we to say it looks good or not? I mean, we could say it. I mean, we're exactly who we are. I'm me. And I'm saying. It doesn't matter, though.
Starting point is 00:24:25 No, no, you're right. By the way, like, you are right. Her young boy likes it, whatever her flavor of the week is. You know what I mean? But I just, I guess, I love Madonna. Like, I think Madonna has mostly been stood for good things. things been dope, iconic in many ways. And you're right.
Starting point is 00:24:43 If it's making her happy. Because it doesn't affect anything. It's still, you know, it was a cool performance. She was moving around more than other 60 plus year olds can do up there. No, it's just like as a fan, you're just like, I just don't think this is dope. Yeah, I don't love it either, but it's like. I'm not signing up for this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:58 But you can listen to the album. You don't have to look at her. Right. Right, right. And then she, and then she, when she accepted the award for Best Dance, she would be so weird. She was wasted. She forgot what she didn't even know what the award was for. She stumbled up to the podium, didn't know what the award was for.
Starting point is 00:25:15 And then she was like, guys, come next to me. Come be close to me. And then she yelled at the audience to stop talking because she was going to lose her train of thought. It was. Yo, the VMAs. Very Madonna. Yeah. I love it.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I love that for her. The Video Vanguard Award went to Nirvana. That was cool. And the one guy lit a cigarette up on stage, which I thought was pretty like punk rock. I think that's why he did it. Yeah, that was the point. It seems so over. It was very random.
Starting point is 00:25:37 So I think that was the point. It would be one thing if he came up smoking. He just pulled it out, lit it. They tried to get them. They're trying to avoid him taking drags of it with the shock. But like, I just, Kirk Cobain is just rolling over in his grave. I'm not saying he's mad at his bandmates.
Starting point is 00:25:55 I'm just saying it where this whole thing has gone. To have Chuck D, the rebel from hip hop, present the award to like this rebel from rock on the VMAs that air now on par. Peramount. On CBS. This is the right wing. It's also on MTV though.
Starting point is 00:26:11 No, by the way, it should be on MTV. MAGA TV, because that's what Paramount is. Let's be on. Yeah. And like to have this like, it's so cringe because MTV, they still are a place where young artists go to like, it's like required stop. So you still get all these young artists, right? All these people I don't know. And yet your audience for the VMAs because of when the brand is from is all millennial.
Starting point is 00:26:36 is all millennials and Gen X. So the result is this bizarre mix of like the artist performing everyone's like, who's that? And literally. But then everything is honoring 60 year olds. The whole night, it's just one 60 year old. Another six year old.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I was thinking the same. It was kind of crazy. Like Snoop Dog hosting, Madonna opening, attributing Nirvana. And then Best Nuir, all these people are like, who the hell are these people? I had to Google young women. And then we don't know who any of them are.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Yeah. So like it's just a weird, it's living in a weird ass spot. And to be watching football, it was the Cowboys Ravens game in Rio and rather than like coming up to that on 60 minutes it's like tonight the VMAs I was like what? It was also disappointing because if you think back
Starting point is 00:27:17 to what the VMAs were to us it was hours of pre-show coverage and red carpet and hosting and like this whole lead-up and then this version is just it was exciting game into but I'm sure that was happening on MTV was it though who hosts anymore they just they play ridiculousness on a loop there is no I don't even know why they
Starting point is 00:27:35 year they still did pre-show. I hope. There was still a recart. Well, I guess maybe like Nessa probably does the whole thing. Nessa, at least up until last year. Yeah, I don't know. It's just such a.
Starting point is 00:27:45 But no whole thing's way. There was no moment from last night that I'm like, if the kids were watching, because I know they like Lisa and all these other artists that perform like, do they go to school and talk about this? Like what's there to say? Taylor Swift was there, I guess. Which I think is, you know, shout out to Taylor and Madonna for like at least going to these things still.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Well, people went there. Yeah. I mean, I saw, well, how many. I didn't see that many big people. I didn't see me. French Montana was there. Nirvana was there. Yeah, well, they were getting honored.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Shibuzi and Ghana performed. Uh-huh. That was the only artist I really, like, knew, new, new. Bruno Mars performed. That was cool. There you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't see Cardi there.
Starting point is 00:28:20 I didn't see. I mean, Lisa is pretty huge. She is huge. Who's that? Who's that now? Lisa. She's a K-pop artist, I guess. She used to be from Black Pink.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Oh. Great. She's a spin-off. Yeah. Her performance was really cool. No, she was like really dope. She's super dope. La La Lisa.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I liked her. She was in White Lotus. She was in White. Oh. Oh. They went to Thailand because she's Thai. So I, by the. So I know her from, I know that a K-pop star was on White Lotus.
Starting point is 00:28:48 That's it. And she did well. She was a great actress. She was super cute. She's really good. Yeah. But like, I don't, I don't know. I don't listen to K-pop.
Starting point is 00:28:56 I don't listen to somber. I don't know who these people are. I wonder what the budget is for this thing because. I feel so washed. It's my job to know these people, it feels like, but is it? But is it anymore? I don't know. But I mean, there is no monoculture anymore.
Starting point is 00:29:09 So it's kind of just like know what you know and talk about that to your art audience. Speaking of, you know what? That's exactly right. What else do you have in the rundown on? All right. So, listen, according to Rolling Stone, Jay-Z's former accuser wrote a statement basically saying that Jay-Z never raped her. She said, Sean Jay-Z Carter never raped me.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I have never met or spoken to Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct towards me whatsoever. This was a 12-page declaration filed in a Manhattan federal court, and the statement left no room for doubt when she added, there is no truth to any of my claims against Mr. Carter. I understand my false accusations may have caused Mr. Carter immense pain, suffering, and damage that can never truly fully be undone. Nope, it can't.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Talk about your all. all time sorry doesn't fix the lamp well he was suing anyway so i hope he continues with this lawsuit and now it's just a slam dunk for him i mean louis did did he lose his defamation case i believe he did did was it he lost it or didn't they just turned down a part of it like he was trying to get something something something i didn't know he lost it i'm not sure but i could have sworn i saw a headline for that yeah this is super messy but first of all the details of the store we all looked at each other like none of this makes sense yeah i mean it was the lawyer or two, Tony Busby is like an ambulance chaser.
Starting point is 00:30:35 This was the one where she said it was at a VMA party. Yeah, that it was like proof that he wasn't there. It was in like 98 and they're saying he was like way further along than he was. None of it made sense. And did it with Puff, I think. It was like them together. And I think didn't, didn't she include one of the members of like good Charlotte saying that he was there?
Starting point is 00:30:54 She was asking him about his tattoo and then they came out with a statement saying we were on tour at that time. We were never there. So the story had major holes. You know, it was a story that went everywhere. And people waiting for Jay-Z to come down wanted it to be true. I think also she said her dad picked her up.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Yeah, yeah. And her dad was like, I don't recall that night at all. Yeah. Correct. I feel like as a dad, you might remember that night. You know what I'm saying? Like, maybe.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Hello. Hello. So, listen, it's good that she did it, but yeah, like, nah, bitch, it's too far. It's gone. You got too far. No, his lawsuit is ongoing, but they did move to drive.
Starting point is 00:31:32 drop her, so now he's just suing Tony. Okay. Because of her recanting her statement, they're letting her off the hook. Got you. That's just not cool. Like, everyone knew the story was made up and now you recanted. It was such a fantasy. Such a full-throated, my bad. It just means you outright, like, it's just horrible.
Starting point is 00:31:49 But then there should be repercussions for that. Like in the legal system, people should be held accountable for stuff like that. Yeah. Especially if they all out emit it, although maybe that means they never would. I don't know. We'll see. Mac Lamar announces his first. free Palestine tour. So he went on Instagram on last week and he announced shows in Dublin in Paris
Starting point is 00:32:10 and London for the end of October. He said what happened to me is bigger than one artist or one stage when the billionaire class can decide which voices are allowed on stage and which ones are too dangerous to hear everyone should be paying attention. So we're going on tour. All proceeds will benefit organization supporting the paliside people and the movement. On SNL they covered this. And Che, they showed the thing And Che was like, haven't the Palestinian people been through enough? Oh, is that nice?
Starting point is 00:32:39 Sorry, Maclemore. I'm curious. That's a great joke. It's McLemore and friends. They have not specified who the friends will be, but I'm curious to see who we get. Listen, this is very him and on brand. This is what he is living for.
Starting point is 00:32:50 And this is what his whole life mission? I mean, it's a great way to change the narrative a bit too and add, you know, more help to Palestine. Yeah, well, and this is what his life mission has become. So where else would you go with all this attention? Yeah, at this point. But to Madi's point, that's the first thing I thought about. I wonder who is going to be brave enough to join him on this tour.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Oh, right. I feel like a Kalani is, she's, she's already on tour, though. See, but this is where is the double whammy. Because you have people who may agree with him on the cause, but are still like, but I'm not going on tour with McLemore. It's not a tour. It's three dates. It's a series of shows.
Starting point is 00:33:25 But my point is he's Maclemore. No, no, I love McLemore. But like, the space he's in right now is not currently. hot. Kalani out with Macklemore other than their love for the cause, which by the way totally makes sense. Her team could still be like, do we want you on a floor with McAmore? Does that fit? It could just be
Starting point is 00:33:42 a one-off. You know what I'm saying? It's three dates, but perhaps it's a different lineup of friends each night. And I could see her pop out and she spoke out in support of him in this scenario. For facts. And if you're really about this issue, which she is. Which she is. Where would there be a better place to do something? She lost gigs over it. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:33:58 So like, what better an opportunity? It's less about MacLamore, more about the cause and the situation and you are 100% saying what's correct hopefully everyone's teams would see that the same way i think david ali would see that that way you know david i do but i don't know that our audience needs about david ali but yes yeah i think they would yeah but people will be listen people will be scared of the smoke so prepared to to see that yeah that's what i feel like but that's the rundown guys oh oh intro is the outro yeah i'm still not ready for it nice show intro or Laura got the run down, turn that up.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Oh, we have some, um, headlines heavy, but we still cut up. Louis. They're still flashing. We don't slow up. Well, um, your friend, the stop dropped in with, ironically, $97. Oh, my God. $97. That a symbolic number.
Starting point is 00:34:49 And he said, look who we have here. Aw, Danny. Hello, Danny. So somebody's going to get clipped over here. Oh, I know. Your whole background story's coming. Here it goes. Shout out to BK. Bayesian, $86.5.
Starting point is 00:35:03 She said, when you have the complexion for the protection. That was about the Cornell story. I was like, for me? What? Yeah, you too, Amanda. And Sharon Lee, it cuts off. Sharon Lee Delva. Shout out to her.
Starting point is 00:35:18 She said, love you guys. Have a great week with $10. Oh, you too. Thank you. She's a big supporter, Sharon Lee. We love Sharon Lee. She really does represent. All right, we got to get to the biggest issue.
Starting point is 00:35:28 You got to get Mendez clipped up. The Remy Moth? Let's go to clip six. Oh, I don't know what this is. I'm sure you do. Of course we do. I genuinely don't know. We got to get your feedback.
Starting point is 00:35:38 If Baskin ever finds it. Oh, God. Oh, man. I have no thoughts on this. You and me? No, you said we were suckers. What do you do? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:53 You said we were suck. No. No. You said we were suck. You said we were suckers. What are you saying? We were suckers. We said we were suckers.
Starting point is 00:35:59 You are. You are. If you do something, you do something like that. You don't do something like that. If you did, then you're suckers. If you did it, then you're not. Flip that. You, you know, Flip's face there is a great meme.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Should take a shot every time they say suckers. We're not. We're not. We're just a suckers, right? Yeah, we have these suckers. What's the Rory? Played.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Can't get used this constant stream. Yeah, I can't either. So what happens now? I didn't see this part. I didn't see this part. This is the continuation of the conversation? Yeah. Is that Rory?
Starting point is 00:37:10 Yeah. So, so, so Louis, why does he go, he goes back? And they just, like, talk more about it. And that's it. How many more times think he said, sucker? So while the camera's gone and they were in the back talking, eventually, Roy got choked up a little bit. He choked Rory up.
Starting point is 00:37:31 No, no. Wait, what? Yeah. Wait, hands were put on Rory? Yes. Just so you know, Louis, for future reference, when someone says they got choked up, it usually means they got emotional. Well, I did take hands on their neck.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I did take the hands on the net thing. Yeah, but you are wrong. I was correct. You are right, but you shouldn't be, okay? I guess yoked up might have been. Yes. Yeah, and hip hop yoked up would be the phrase. But anyways, yeah, he put his hands around his throat, pause, and, uh, at the, well, they're in the back without the cameras.
Starting point is 00:38:01 How do we know that? He said it on the Joe Budden show, they said it. Yeah, and they're both of their apologies or talking about it and their respective podcasts as they mentioned it. Oh. Oh, really? Rory said that too. Mm-hmm. So there's already video of Rory talking about getting yoked? Yeah, they both already had their sides of the conversation.
Starting point is 00:38:19 They did a special weekend pod of Rory and Mall. Guys, I don't know. This happened like last week, so. No, I thought this happened like Thursday. So they could have did it on Friday. So I saw, oh, I know Joe and them did it Friday. I watched their clips. That was my whole timeline on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:38:33 I didn't see this at all, so. You didn't see any of this? No. I saw that clip getting clipped around all over social media, but I saw it when you guys sent it to the chat. And then you yelled at Rassan saying, we bin saw this. And then Ebro's like, I didn't see it. And I'm like, oh, my bad. I thought we got things like this.
Starting point is 00:38:49 It was literally, Louie, you saw it a lot, right? Yeah, yeah. I'm not, I'm not alone, am I? Anyways, I saw it on, because I'm on, I'm not on Twitter at home, but I was on Twitter at work, whatever. Feeding. Feeding. Feeding. I don't go on Twitter at all.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Anyways, I saw Flip talk about it. And at first, I didn't, like, understand what the whole thing was about. Because, like, the angle people were saying first was Rory Presses flip, right? He did. Which, which he sort of did, right? And then it seemed like the angle, correct it? Guys, stop me when I'm wrong. The angle that Flip sort of seemed to be offensive.
Starting point is 00:39:21 by was like basically flip didn't even take it seriously in the moment so the idea that rory was actually trying to press him was like so shocking to him that he was like double offended afterwards and was like i saw him speaking emphatically about that on the joe on joe show um is that right so like he was just like treating him normally like how and didn't even think for a second you would be trying to press me right especially live on camera yeah clip uh flip said that he didn't realized he didn't get tight until the clip, clip that part. When what was they clip that? That's why he looked twice.
Starting point is 00:39:58 He was like, wait, you're really trying to get at me. And then I think throughout the night, other people came up to flip with like, yo, this is going viral. No, that's what I figured. And that's why we're already getting yoked up. Yeah, I think that added a little more. Or choked up. Yoked or choked.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Okay, wait. Our guy, Danny, from the stop, gave us another $10 today. Oh, he wants more from this. said, Flip said he put his hand on Rory should. I'm assuming he's trying to say shoulder. Wasn't no choke mentioned. Okay, shoulder. He touched him.
Starting point is 00:40:27 He was like, A, pal. I'm assuming, Danny. That's what you're telling me. Yeah, we touched him strong enough where Ish apparently have to come over and hold Flip back. So I. What is the origin of this beast? Apparently, early days of Queens Flip being on the podcast, he was talking shit about Rory and Mull. And he kind of admitted just doing it in defense of Joe because he's on the show now, whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:48 I will say I understand Rory, you know, trying to feel like I got to like, this guy's talk shit about me. If I see him, I have to say something. But like, yeah, it did not come off great, especially because at first, I watched it with no volume guys. And so at first I was kind of impressed with Rory. I was like, wow, he just really rolled up on Queen's lip. I probably wouldn't do that. But then in retrospect, now that I see it and hear it, you could tell Flip. is not taking it like it's a real threat in any way at all.
Starting point is 00:41:22 He's just like wouldn't even assume you're doing that. So it ended up coming off not as a great look, I would say. And I just need Roy to be safe out here, bro. Between that and the... You're coming off of a stroke. Yeah. Like we don't need you out. You just don't need that.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Like honest, I mean, just I don't know anything about whether one thing could be related to another, but I would think any sort of like tense... I highly doubt that he is... What? No, like a tense. You don't know. whether a tense, what if it turned to a big physical interaction? Oh. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:52 And then it would spark another stroke you're saying? Yeah, I don't know. Listen, guys, I'm a freak. I thought I was having a stroke for three days. I've been feeling. And then I said, grace agefully. No, you said. Yeah, that's what you said. See, but you see how it sounds right? Yeah. Well, in that moment it did. When you said it, it sounded awful.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Because the word grace is in there, it sounds right at first. Like grace. Ageful. It could the new phrase. No, but I... Anyway, shout out to Roy, though. Shout out to Rory, though. And I hope that he's taking his health seriously after that interaction where I ran into him. You were there. Did you see him that night? I was right there.
Starting point is 00:42:24 I was there too. But did you have a conversation with him? In the same five minutes before you did. Oh. No. He said I was the first person he saw. Then maybe he spoke to him afterwards. He was having a stroke.
Starting point is 00:42:34 He doesn't know who the hell he talked to. So bad. No, no. He said hi. He remember saying hi to Natalie. I was like, oh, hey, blah, blah, we talked for a minute. But like, all I thought was he seemed kind of quiet. I was, it was so weird.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Like, he saw me and he was like, hey. And it was just so, like, monotone. He was having a stroke. I know. That's what I'm saying. I'm just explaining the background. She was like, but can you be like more polite? No, it wasn't impolite.
Starting point is 00:42:58 He just was like just so weird and like not there. And then he was like, do you have the same number? I'm like, you text me like a couple weeks ago. What do you mean? And then he texted me Rory. And I'm like, I know. So you're saying in retrospect, it was kind of stroke. It was super strange.
Starting point is 00:43:15 And I was just like, I don't know. Maybe he was like drunk or something. Well, thanks to Rory, every time, as if I don't already have enough physical paranoies, now I think I'm having a stroke every 15 minutes. Yes, Louis. I just want to say, Danny from the stop is very disappointed with this conversation. He said there's not enough clipage here. No, why?
Starting point is 00:43:31 Because the thing is, who do I want to start shit with? Queens flip? Nah, I'm good. Listen, do I feel weird about us as adults, like being an arrow, people walk around being filmed 24-7 without reality cameras? It's just like, it's not for me. It's not for me. But, like, Queen slip is making it work for him.
Starting point is 00:43:45 And he's worked really hard for a long time. And it's resonated with people, so I'm not going to talk shit. Yeah. I just don't know enough about him or the situation or have any real thought. Yeah. And like what is the made up angle I could even have? Yeah. I think Rory did not cover himself in grace, if you will, in the moment.
Starting point is 00:44:06 It wasn't a great moment for Rory, but he knows that by now. Like he needs me to tell him. I didn't even text him this weekend because I figured he's hearing from enough people. Yeah. Like it was what it was. I just, I see why in the moment he thought it could come off good. but it just didn't. Or maybe he didn't have a thought about it.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Maybe he saw him and was like, oh, did he say clip that? Maybe he was drunk. He was not about to say. Liquor does things to you. He was drunk. He saw somebody that had been talking mess at some point and was like, I'm going to say something. Well, but if we know that he was drunk, he also told me when I talked to him, he's not drinking at all. He made on validate me and was like, no, I'm not drinking.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Well, maybe that has changed. We don't know if he was drunk. Yeah. We don't know. We're just. Go ahead. They definitely said he was drunk. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Who's they? Do you have a toxicology report? I mean, everybody and I was in. That looks like drunk Rory to me. I know pretty well. Well, no, it was giving drunk Rory for sure, but. Drory, if you will. Drory, if you will.
Starting point is 00:45:04 All right. Well, Marty, you ended up going to Remy Mazz event. Can you tell us? Oh, more mess. Yeah. No, this was not mess. Well, I know, but the situation's a mess. Well, I guess with the whole situation with Papp is a mess.
Starting point is 00:45:14 But she had a release party, I guess you would call it listening session, premier for her surprise EP, alimony on Friday. Shout out to Titi Torres. I guess it was, she put it together. Yes, she did. And they had a movie theater in Newark, which I thought was really cool that it was Jersey, because usually it's always a New York event.
Starting point is 00:45:31 They did it in New York, New Jersey. It had a theater. And so she performed, I want to say all the songs, maybe a handful of the songs. They had a guitar player and somebody on the keys. Sound system wasn't amazing. But for a movie theater, it was pretty decent. And she talked a bunch and basically said, too,
Starting point is 00:45:49 obviously this is a whole project about all the mess would happen, everything. But she just basically said they keep bothering her in this society. If you don't say anything, then you look like it's an omission of guilt or whatever it is. If you do say something, you're bothered. And she's like, well, yeah, I am bothered. You keep bothering me. So I'm going to keep talking about it. And I hope that this, like, really puts it to bed.
Starting point is 00:46:10 And I do not want to discuss anymore. But I'm going to make some money off of it while I'm here. Well, that's smart. I saw the Jezebel chain. Jezebel chain and jacket. And jacket. And jacket. it. I did respect that move.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I like it. I mean, why not flip it? Remy is petty and when I saw it, I was like, that's such a Rebby thing to do it. It is. It made me laugh. Yeah, I respected it. If you're going to do this whole thing. Yeah. And he's going to put out this record. Why not? Yeah, you got to respond to it. You're obviously saying you don't think it's true and it's complete bullshit.
Starting point is 00:46:41 So wear the jacket and the chain and just like live it up. Yeah. Yeah. And the project is good. The music video is really cool. Her and Kiki Wyatt, Kiki's not the video. I don't think. No. And they showed like some behind the scenes stuff. Can we get her? Is she willing to talk now though? Remi or Kiki? Remi? Why would I want to do? I don't know. I just, you came off of me saying Kiki and so I mean I think so I mentioned No yes I spoke to Titi and she's gonna be coming up soon. Yeah about like now. I mean she does have an EP so she should come up and Ebro's in London. Could she come in like tomorrow? Like let's get
Starting point is 00:47:13 Rem me up here. I mean I don't know if Big D the weatherman is working the project too but I meant he's who invited me to the thing and I told him about it. Thanks for the invite, Big D. You weren't invited? I don't think so. You would you have gone? No. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:27 You wouldn't have gone out to Jersey. That's not your business. Rosamberg just likes to be invited. I mean, I never get invited to anything. So I was actually so excited that I was invited. What time of day? What time to start? It was like a 7 p.
Starting point is 00:47:39 I mean, of course it didn't start actually until like 9. No, like 9. Right. Rassan was there. Oh, Rassan. Yeah. He was there. Yo, this shit is crazy.
Starting point is 00:47:47 It was live. It was live. on what you were working yeah I was working live stream on YouTube and the Rememimai network Nice And I did the live stream Okay Drewski was there too
Starting point is 00:47:57 While I was there Wait wait hold on notice how Rassan never mentioned this to us I saw it on his social or something I saw him So it's on the Remi Monde network Are you also doing any work potentially for Trump TV Is that on that? I mean if the bag is there
Starting point is 00:48:12 Whoa If the bag is What do you stand for? sell out. Mad Gascom. I can't believe it. I have four kids. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Listen, if Trump TV comes calling, he's out. I might have to go. He's going to shoot a music video for Forgi Auto Blow. Promise who you wouldn't do a video for Forgiato Blow. If he would do MAGA, he would do that's too far.
Starting point is 00:48:38 That's too far. That's too far. That's too far. Because the name. And for the office. I'll do for the office. But you do stuff for Trump. The office.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Who's far more detrimental than for G auto blow. We need a camera on Baskin, bro. The face that he just made with the office. Please. Anyway, shout out to Remy. Great projects. Wait, are you trying to say that you think President Donald Trump
Starting point is 00:48:59 influences the world more than Forgiato? I think that's what I'm saying. That is a hot take right here. I think that is indeed. All right, so we didn't have a hot enough take for... Yeah, I chose not to have a hot enough take for that. Did you see, Amanda, I sent you the video that I posted on my YouTube page this weekend? Oh, I saw a clip of that movie.
Starting point is 00:49:18 around. No, you didn't. Yeah, I did. Someone clipped it. Somebody did. Somebody did clip it. Man, I should have sent it to you. Somebody did clip it. Did it say, bitch snowflakes, copping, please? What did it say? No, I just, I didn't even really pay attention. I kind of scroll by it. But what made you make a video talking about, talking about Kanye? Talking about Kanye. So, so after we did the show last week, when we did the whole thing about his, the street sign. Yes. unveiling for Donda and I went off. Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I, like that started getting like clipped around in a certain world. Oh yeah, I saw it. I definitely saw it on there. But then it made like, it like kept going. I was like all right. And now it's like. Well, you knew it. You should have known it would have.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Okay. So I'll get to that. That's a good point. Okay. So it started moving around and I'm seeing like the headline and the way it's being described and like. What were some of the headlines? Well, no, some of the.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Bitch Peter Rosenberg. It wasn't. It wasn't, it was, but it was like, people were really leaning to like, like Rosenberg goes off at Kanye West again for you know his performance at his mother's thing. Just the way it was done and the way ignorant people were taking it were like in any way to associate it with someone's mother.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Of course. That was an obvious... I know. I'm just saying it's an obvious path. Set yourself up for that. You're correct. And I don't feel any differently about how I felt about the situation. Like so people sending their comments just responding, it's his mother. Like, that doesn't move me.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I still think it was weird behavior. I'm allowed to have that feeling it's fine. But with how far I take it when we're just like, I know this sounds really ignorant, but sometimes I really do just feel like it's just us effing around. No, no, no. That's a real thing because sometimes I forget that everyone is listening and it's just as friends just talking is. And so Bascom jumps in and he does his Bascom thing, which he's good at doing, where he
Starting point is 00:51:12 presents the other side and that just sends me into Rosenberg mode of like, What? Oh, right, right, right, right. No, but I also. And then you clip it and it just looks bad. I also think because Ibra and I were kind of like, all right, Rosenberg. It's like, we were kind of like a Kanye side defending him because I even told you, don't make me the Kanye defender.
Starting point is 00:51:29 And you didn't even do it. You just like, you just presented the other side. Yeah. But that probably makes me go more the other way. It's also a level of like humble to it too. It's like you just don't think people are going to care that much that it's going to be this huge thing. And then. Well, no, I know, because people are, the angle of me now hating.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Kanye is a thing. And so I was thinking about it this weekend as I also thought I was stroking out and having a heart attack. You need to go to the doctor. I'm going to get my... Get an EKGY or something. I'm getting the heart scan on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:51:59 Oh, I've been thinking about it too. I told us about, I'm a little scared because I think it's back in the tube again for an MRI. But Ebro's been telling us about this place that does heart scans and I'm doing it. And then the other thing that freaked me out is I've been tingling in my fingers and that like freaked me out.
Starting point is 00:52:13 It could just be a nerve thing. But I remembered I have back. stuff and my doctor's been saying hey have your fingers been tingling yeah so like I talk to him I'm cool but once I'm in my head bro I've been all weekend Natalie I'd deal with me thinking I'm dying it's not you on webmd so I remember my face no Laura my heart I went through a bad face no no no and then the ALS thing's been freaking me out too so I that Chris Johnson story's been having me so freaked out me saying grace agefully I'm gonna be thinking about that for the next 20 hours it's just a slip of the tongue while you're chatting.
Starting point is 00:52:44 No, but I've been thinking all week I felt like tired and sluggish, my fingers tingling. A billion, a trillion reasons why all of that could be happening, not a stroke. I know. Or ALS. Or A L.L.S. I would hope. But anyways. Are you taking your vitamins? Not enough.
Starting point is 00:52:56 But by the way, Laura's almost as ridiculous as I am, though. Like the vitamins are going to make me not crazy. But I do take my bag. I mean, they'll help balance something. They'll get like a full blood panel too and make sure you're not. No, I'm getting a full blood panel. Yeah. I'm going to get a full blood.
Starting point is 00:53:09 Listen, I've been through the gamut with health stuff elastic. I'm all over all at. So. So this weekend, so I was sitting there feeling crazy and also seeing how many places it went. And I had a conversation with my friend Ty Butler who watches our show a lot and is like very active. And like definitely does not like anything Kanye's done for years. But it was like very reasonably texting me like, yeah, I didn't really agree with you on it. Respectfully like I thought blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:53:34 And he was just kind of pointing out kind of how I came across. And so rather than see a million people be like, tell me I'm wrong. and just be more indignant that they're all a-holes. Yeah. I was just like, let me think about this more. And I thought about that, even though I've been super hurt by and like angered by Kanye over the years,
Starting point is 00:53:56 I believe in people leading in like an empathetic kind way. And like I don't do that with him. Yeah. Like now granted, and I got comments that said this. Like, bro, he literally made a song called Heil Hitler. Like there is a certain line that was crossed that's so bad that some people will be like, hey, you never have to come back if you don't want to.
Starting point is 00:54:12 He doesn't deserve it. He doesn't deserve it. But I don't want to be that way. And like even though, yes, he's done things that are absolutely atrocious, the truth is the reason I'm on him so hard is because like I loved Kanye. Yeah. Like we all and like people think I'm just saying that. I'm like, bro, no, paid a lot of money to see Kanye. Chase him for, I said this in the video.
Starting point is 00:54:34 I have T-mail emails to John Monopoly from 2002. Like, can I please interview Kanye, West Kanye, Kanye, West Kanye. Like, come on, bro. You think I got to hear without loving Kanye West. He's the artist, one of the artists of our era. I remember when you and Syf sat down with him for that amazing interview, you were so excited. Like, it was like a thing, like who was going to get the interview?
Starting point is 00:54:56 And I remember you guys, when we were all that high. Well, Angie got the big one. Well, Angie, yeah. But then we got one. You guys got a very special one. No, we got a special one because it was in a tour in which you would not talk about anything except fashion. And we got him to stick to music for like 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Which was huge. Which is huge. And by the way, in that, that is the most pleasant. moment I've ever had with him. Like that was 30 minutes of us getting along and having a good chat. And it felt like there was some level of like he didn't think I was out to get him. He could tell I just won't talk about music. But then like, you know, there always been these weird. And I just weird things happen.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Like I brought up Fife's Memorial. Bro, you don't, you know how honored I was to speak at Fife's Memorial? His family asked me to speak at the memorial, bro. Like I was like super honored at the Apollo. And like afterwards I'm walking around talking to like KRS and like, oh, And I'm going back to my, and as I'm like walking back, there was a monitor in the kitchen downstairs at the Apollo. And there was a monitor playing in KRS is there.
Starting point is 00:55:55 And some other legend is there. And we're talking. And I just hear him like, something, some Rosenberg. And I'm like, what? Did he just. Kanye talking about? Yes. I'm like, did he just say my name?
Starting point is 00:56:05 Yes. Why did he say my name? So I go running up to like watch the end. And, you know, Chappelle, Lauren Hill. It's an incredible celebration for this man. We all love so much. And I didn't find it. out till later because it was a live stream
Starting point is 00:56:18 and people were like, oh man, that's not right. He basically just took a moment to like in a small way take a shot at me while we're all honoring Fife, right? So that's one of several things that have happened. They all hurt me. They all added up. However, none of
Starting point is 00:56:34 those things led to me going at him. What led to me going at him was white lives matter. Slavery was a choice and there are people who say, I only care about the Jewish shit. I didn't go to Wyoming when that happened years before the Jewish shit. Oh my God, yep.
Starting point is 00:56:49 And by the way, just so you all know the people who say that about me, do you guys realize that if I talked about the black stuff and not the Jewish stuff, you same people will be telling me to mind my business and not tell a black man how to talk about black people? So shut up. You know that would not be an angle for me to take. So the angle that hurts
Starting point is 00:57:04 me also, and is appropriate for me to talk about, is the Jewish stuff. All of that being said, though, I don't hate this man. Like, of course I don't. I want him to be well. I want us all one day to be able to go to concerts and me not have a feeling about it. You know what I'm saying? So like moments like that trigger me
Starting point is 00:57:20 when it just reminds me of like, why do you always do these things that just seem like ridiculous? But to everyone's point, if he really has mental health problems, that is why someone would act out. It's not like what he did was hugely terrible. It was just slightly awkward.
Starting point is 00:57:35 It wasn't a big deal. With the mom thing. With the Monda. With the Donda celebration where he just says like, oh, I'm going to do it. I don't need to go off about that. It ruins my other points when I get triggered and freak out.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Like I was reading Maya book this week that we got called Calm Down Time. And I was like, I may need to bring Calm Down Time. You can breathe. I mean, but to your point though, obviously, yeah, you wouldn't be going so hard on him if you didn't actually care if you had no thoughts. And the fact that anyone could think,
Starting point is 00:58:05 and this happened with the Drake thing too, I know that we're commentators and we do stuff, but like we also know these people in different ways and love their music. If y'all think we would actually, or I can only speak from me, but I know everybody else would want ill or bad things for these people. We love these people.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Like this is the stuff that we root for and publicly support. And like hip hop culture is part of my whole brand that I've taken everywhere in my life. What would it take for you from Kanye to go to a concert again? So I think just I thought I was going to try to give him a clean slate. Like let's just try to start with a clean slate in 2026. And I just feel like if a couple of years pass and I don't hear any weird stuff and maybe even some good stuff comes out. Like you hear that he did some positive things. Like I said, I don't think the rabbi meeting did anyone any favors.
Starting point is 00:58:58 And I don't think taking out an ad in a paper and then immediately doing concerts. Like that didn't really affect me in any way. Okay. I wish he could have a meaningful public conversation about it. But obviously he or people around him don't think that would be in his best interest. Yet perhaps. Yeah, perhaps. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:14 So, like, coming to a place where maybe he could speak about it and be like, yo, bro, like, he, because in that, in the letter that he wrote, he actually, interestingly, spent more time on the black stuff and his affecting of black people than he did the Jewish stuff, which I don't have a problem with. You're a black man in America. That makes sense. But I did feel at the end, like, I'm like, I don't really think you understand, like, how far you went. Like, it was one thing.
Starting point is 00:59:38 The Jewish stereotypes of Hollywood was one thing. but like how far he went and then it happens to be this time where you have this evil Israeli regime who's also engendering all this anti-Semitism he's like guys I really do believe in my heart that for a certain sect of young people he laid the groundwork of them being like
Starting point is 00:59:59 are Jews bad damn now there's this Israel thing Jews really do suck yeah like I do I think he did damage I think he did real actual damage and that I don't know that needs time but like I don't but I still still don't hate him. Like I don't only define him by that. Like music of his can still move me.
Starting point is 01:00:17 But anyways, so I just felt bad. I didn't like how it came out. It was two days after Yom Kippur. I'm always trying to be a better person. And then we get on the mic and I act like a psycho. But like I said, sometimes I just forget. Because we do talk wild shit once we're not recording. And sometimes you kind of forget like you're not just talking with your friends.
Starting point is 01:00:33 So this is on your YouTube page? I put it on my YouTube page, Rosenberg Radio. All right. Well, I mean, same thing with Jay-Z, who could actually hate him because he's. he called his children the R word, he was speaking kind things of him too on JZN8. Yeah, did you hear that? No.
Starting point is 01:00:47 You sent me the link. Yeah, so it's the HBO docu series that he's got going on right now with Rick Rubin, eight part episodes, and in the most recent one, he's speaking highly of Kanye and just saying he's a great artist, and he always loved how Kanye revered him
Starting point is 01:01:03 as a big brother type, and still saying, you know, Kanye got whatever he got going on, but he's always going to respect, basically. Yeah, he basically was like, We'll never going to see an artist like him again. Yeah. Like he's one of the, like he was, it was, it was very complimentary considered.
Starting point is 01:01:18 All things considered. All things are considered there. I would, I would say, I, it was much more than I would have expected. I agree. And to me it like sort of opened the door. No. There's no, you, how can you come back from someone calling your child to our word, your children? I know, I know, like making up medical speculation about your children.
Starting point is 01:01:40 And like just talking about it publicly. I don't care that you're doing it for attention. I hear you. I totally hear you. And I had thought up until you sent that last night that there was no chance. But the fact that like, Jay-Z is in charge of that show. They're not putting out anything that like- Oh, of course.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Yeah. Of course. Yeah. But he's also a businessman and he's also just like, for all I know, a decent person where like I could deeply never walk with somebody again. I still might speak highly of them, especially if we're in the same Zike. and you're somebody that there's commentary to be had on and a lot of Jay Z's catalog involved Kanye.
Starting point is 01:02:15 No, you're right. And you are completely right. It could just be totally he was being respectful and being reasonable. But I'm not going to deny something. You can say, Kanye sucks. Right, right. It's unreasonable.
Starting point is 01:02:23 You're right. But I will just say, considering hearing it comes around as much, just made me think I wonder if maybe there, again, if Kanye were to make the amends in the right way and say, I mean, you're not. You never know.
Starting point is 01:02:33 It's not out of the realm of possibility. As me and Johnny Colchie's always say, life is long. Life is short, but it's also mad long. Yeah. And he also, I mean, he was talking about his artistry, I'm assuming, right? Which we all have said basically the same thing.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Kanye is not denying that. You cannot deny his greatness when it comes to music. That record was my favorite one on that album. I love Joe. Yeah. So I could honestly see, understand how Jakin praise him and say yes. He's an incredible artist. He did amazing things.
Starting point is 01:03:00 That doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to look up the call. And I know I keep seeing a lot of people saying like, I think Jay Z's going to surprise us and it's going to be him and Kanye at Super Bowl. That is never. going to have. And then Kanye and Super Bowl it's never going to happen.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Yeah. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. That is not, no. I don't think that will ever happen. Not for, again, not for a very long time. Could they do a Super Bowl together in 10 years? I mean, there's got to be a lot of repair done in those 10 years.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Robert Kraft needs to die. Yeah, I was going to say, like, I don't know that Robert Kraft would ever. What do you mean? Is Kanye not allowed at Gillette Stadium? I don't know that he's been there. I doubt. I don't know if there's a reason to ban
Starting point is 01:03:41 if there hasn't been a conversation of him being there. Right, right. Yeah, true. There hasn't been. But he didn't call his friends in Houston and Tampa and say don't let Kanye perform there. He only did that for McLemore. This is true. Yeah. Only the danger of McLemore.
Starting point is 01:03:58 There was one other thing. Oh, speaking of Kanye, he also came out at the Chris Brown Usher. At Sofi. No one called Sofi and said, don't let Kanye out. I don't know. I guess they wouldn't have known he was coming. Yeah, yeah. It's different. It's on a tour.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Yeah. By the way, SNL skit. Do you see the Chris Brown Usher skit? I did not. Yo. Oh, I got to watch it. Was like a Jasmine Crockett situation?
Starting point is 01:04:18 No, no. They did a, um, like a 12 step. It's all people in meetings being like, hey, I'm so and so. And my girlfriend went to the Chris Brown Usher concert. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:04:29 It's so. Like an AA kind of situation? Yes. Oh my God. It gets to the white guy and he's like, date a black woman, they said. And they all get back to it. And then it's Keenan just yelling,
Starting point is 01:04:40 damn it, Archer! It is really, really amusing. All right, we got to wrap up, guys. Oh, that's it? That's it? But I think Mende's did a great job, filling in. I know.
Starting point is 01:04:49 It was so good chatting with you, money. Thank you. I was happy to be here. Sorry, I couldn't give you a clippable moment, Danny from the side. I know, I thought about asking things to do it, but I didn't. No, I wasn't going to give it to you
Starting point is 01:04:59 even if you did pause. Wow, that's a first. I just... I'm just kidding. Oh my God. We got to go. I'm going to play the outro. See you guys tomorrow
