Starting point is 00:00:54 We have our amazing friend, Kevin O'Degas, Rojas, in the building hanging out with us today. What's up? Good morning. How are you? That's why you shouldn't watch the show on your own. You get a little bit gritty.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Hey, hey. It's early. It's very early, but we're so happy to have you here. And I'm going to remind everybody, we have ELR news that we drop every Friday at 10 a.m. Yes, yes. So please, on our own channel, make sure you guys search, send it to people, share it. Tell everyone that we're here doing this. It's an amazing progressive news show.
Starting point is 00:01:28 And we give you all the hottest topics, everything we feel you should know about it in like 30 minutes. So we're very proud of that. Something, I know this is silly, but I am curious to hear your thoughts on this. So there's a story that's trending. with Savannah James, which is LeBron James's wife, right? Her and her best friend April McDaniel, I guess they were on a podcast, but the conversation came up that when they fly together, Savannah James will fly first class, but her friend will do business or coach or whatever she can afford.
Starting point is 00:02:01 People were saying like, wow, if I was as rich as Savannah, I would 100% buy my bestie a first class ticket. But is she, does she have to? No. Like, I, it's her money. That's crazy to be. No, no, she has to. She has to.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I'm sorry, you can't do that. Like, no, a person worth, you know, a million dollars? No, you don't have to. Guys, they're, they're like liquid, like close to a billion dollars. Yes. Like, that's, I don't.
Starting point is 00:02:31 See, after the flight? In fact, you're upset. She didn't get the PJ. So, I don't know. I just. kind of feel, listen, me, I would buy my friend of first class flight, but that's me. But I also feel like she doesn't have to.
Starting point is 00:02:45 I don't, I wouldn't expect a friend to do that. Good morning, Peter, by the way. I know we're trying to be, but the way we caught you on camera, by the way, I can I guess, can we tell what is the best way to go when we're speaking? I think a way to go. I think a full crawl.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I'm not doing the grip call. Like a full just like on all fours. military crawls. Yeah. Why? Just get the camera on me, let him come in. Yeah, but then we're, but then I'm going to cross that camera so it's either. You saw, you saw me crouch behind Kevin.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Crouch for no reason. Right. Right red. Right red. Yeah, it was really, that's really, and Griffith just hit the full military effort. I'm dead Listen, what I was going to say is I wouldn't expect a friend to do it And I just feel like
Starting point is 00:03:43 That's a lot I don't enjoy when we make these conversations About like finances and what rich people should or shouldn't do And we try to make them like a general pop conversation Like we can relate to what the situation Like you can't really identify with the situation I can't identify with Savannah James at all So you know like if me like my best friend is always like
Starting point is 00:04:03 upgrading his seats of first class buy half a while I'll see when we get there we're staying at the same hotel like I don't yeah yeah yeah I don't expect that and it happened to me where my best friend is like one of my best friends is almost like diamond on Delta that's different so but yeah that's different because she always gets those perks
Starting point is 00:04:18 right but I'm telling you if I was a billionaire I would be like yo P Kevin I'm I got you but that's just me that's what you think because you're not a billionaire right but okay so I have a little coin and I've helped my friends out when I've flown with them I would not do that now. I've done it. I think on that I'm telling you right now right now at this stage.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I've done it for what what was it like an $80 upgrade? Yeah it was something. Yeah if you're not going if you're flying to Europe together. Yes. Yes. And the coach seat is already a thousand dollars. Yeah. And the business seat is 3200. Okay that's different. I'm not being like yo let me but if it's like 200 bucks like you know I'll do it. I'll do it. But that's just me. Also if you make it about if we just look at like the rich person's perspective, how often you think Savannah James is getting on a flight with her friends? How often do you think they're taking trips? Imagine expecting your friend because
Starting point is 00:05:07 they have the money to upgrade your seat every time you guys take a trip. And I'm sure when they do a PJ, I mean, you're in the PJ. You know what I mean? So I'm sure she takes her a long time. She just said this and she just was doing an interview and just said this in like a fun conversation. Yes, yes, yes. I see I would have had so many follow-ups. Like really how often
Starting point is 00:05:23 is this happening? And aren't, are you very often flying on a private jet? In which case, this only happens every now and then And if I'm flying you on my private jet a couple times a year. Yeah. And then another couple times you got to sit and coach. Okay. Like, I get it.
Starting point is 00:05:37 But at the same time, we can't fathom the money they have. Right. So like, I don't know what a, let's say a first class seat is $3,000 more. I can't fathom what $3,000 means to someone who's worth $1.3 billion. I don't know what that even looks like. If we did the math, it's probably like one of us spending like a quarter. So it is hard for us to even. I just like how Laura keeps cleaning it up by going,
Starting point is 00:06:04 but that's just me. Yeah. Because the argument online, a lot of people were like, it was very split. Like some people were like, you should absolutely get a ticket for your best friend. And then some people are like,
Starting point is 00:06:14 yo, don't be in people's pockets. Like you never know what the situation is and you shouldn't expect that to happen for you. Yeah, I think both are true. It does sound a little nunny that someone in the James family would have someone sitting back in coach.
Starting point is 00:06:29 It does sound nutty. But to Kevin's point, though, it's also nutty for us to pretend. Right, right, right. Like, we could be like, well, if I, if my husband made a billy, yeah, I mean, I don't know. Someone in the comments said,
Starting point is 00:06:39 y'all be bad friends. This man, it depends. And by the way, we have to stop saying first and business. There's basically no first in, I'm barely on planes. Unless it's a big international flight, yeah. Business is first.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's sometimes crazy, guys. I'm going to New Orleans. in a week for money in the bank for WWE. And I was looking at the, first of all, some of the flights you just couldn't even get. Flying New Orleans is a shocking pain in the ass. It always blows my mind how few flights there are
Starting point is 00:07:12 and how expensive they are. You would think New Orleans would be. Is it Louis Armstrong? Yeah, and it's relatively small. And you would think it's not because I think it's such a travel city. But anyways. Wonderful place.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Dude, it's a thousand for coached, 11,200 for coach. Damn! First class is 3,500. $100 to sit in a regular ass, no laydown, no, like, who's doing that? I know. Call Savannah James. Yeah, Savannah.
Starting point is 00:07:37 I know. When I fly to, if I go to Thailand, right? No, no. When people try to talk ish, are you flying coach? Because, you know, I get the stupid comments. Absolutely. Laura, I looked last week. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:48 At Thailand. Tell me what those numbers look like. Thailand over the holidays, because we're considering like what we're doing, it was 5,000 for coach. Mm-hmm. So I'm Go ahead, producer Griff. If you want to get that upgrade,
Starting point is 00:08:04 I did it when I flew to England. You buy the regular ticket. If you're flying on an off day, I was able to get upgraded to Polaris for $400. Now that can happen, but it also might not happen. You fly on random day. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, what are you trying to tell Kevin? Do you want me to tell him something? Yeah, I'm going to tell them, put your laptop on the other side. Oh, gosh. Also, Kevin, while we're handling show business, Kevin, since I'm an idiot.
Starting point is 00:08:28 You can you grow my little headphones They're in the zippy pouch connected to them. This is ridiculous. You listen, our family gets to see everything that happens behind the scenes. Here's your AirPods. Chat knows their family. Chat knows their family. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:43 This is why we can't fly business. No, but I do find it like really. I didn't fly business class literally until I was 40. And then during the pandemic, the upgrades were so cheap while I was traveling to Florida for W. and my deal doesn't have first class so I was I'd have to do upgrades myself yeah yeah so the upgrades were like seventy five dollars so I just started flying for you know upgrading to business or first every time I was there were eight people on
Starting point is 00:09:11 the plane yeah yeah afterwards I was like I can't I can't go back I don't I forgot about y'all I don't know what's going on back there I moved on it's that you experienced ultimate comfort and by the way and here's the part it's sort of like how I feel about madmen I'm obsessed, but it's also overrated. Okay. Like, I'm obsessed with first class because I want to get on first and I want to get off the plane first. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:35 But I'm sitting there. I never understand that I don't feel the pressure to get off a plane. I don't either. Go ahead. My man is the one gets up. Get the stuff. We got to go.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I was like, babe, there's people getting their stuff. We're not going anywhere. My favor's on the person in the row next to me because I'm sitting in coach. When the person in the row next to me is like standing up, like you know you can't stand straight. Yeah. So you're sort of like your head is bad.
Starting point is 00:09:55 You're just waiting. for the line. I'm like, what do you do? Sit down. No, no, by the way, no, I agree with everything you're saying. And I don't want to be one of those people. So I just want to be sitting in like the second row and get off and leave. And to be truthful, I'm usually traveling for work. I'm usually getting in on like the last flight at night.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And I'm like, I want to go to the hotel and go to sleep. I'm not trying to. Yo, sometimes when I'm watching them deplane, like before I get on my flight, I'm watching them deplane and the deplanning starts. Yo, I'm saying people get off the plane 40 minutes later. I know. I'm like, if you're sitting in the back, there are legitimately flights.
Starting point is 00:10:27 I'm seeing people sit for 30 full minutes while people are getting their bags. But besides the perk of getting off the plane, you know, on a regular flight, you know, a two and a half hour flight in the U.S., the business class is nasty frozen food and a seat that's a little bit bigger. That's basically it.
Starting point is 00:10:45 And they are charging people. They're literally just gouging people for this. Listen, if you want to upgrade on an international flight and I'm just speaking to Thailand because I go often, right? you know $10,000 For first class Yes and I gotta do
Starting point is 00:11:01 I gotta do three of them joints You think I'm gonna spend $30,000 I don't know In fact I get insane In fact I get angry When even people with the money would do that I'm like 30,000 That's like college
Starting point is 00:11:12 If y'all stopped They would drop the prices Right If rich people just stood together And stop buying these dams Well you know What really messed everyone up Is Spirit Airlines
Starting point is 00:11:21 What you mean? And that's why I told everyone I remember like when everyone was laughing, they were all cracking up by like Spirit Airlines, like filing for bankruptcy and then being forced to to shut down. And I was like, this isn't funny for any of us. Spirit Airlines prices being so low, even if you would never fly Spirit, then being that competitive force everyone to keep the prices low. Yeah. I'm going to... That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I'm going to Houston tomorrow to campaign with Jena Hinojosa. That's right. Bro, that round trip is $1,700. No. To Houston. No. And I am not in first class. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:11:53 $1,700. What did you buy it? Did you just buy it? A week ago? And it was $1,700 to Houston? What airline? A direct flight, because everything else had to stop. What airline?
Starting point is 00:12:05 American, I think. And by the way, American, their amenities are such ass, too. No, no screens on half the seats on flight. It's trash. 1700 to Houston is mind boggling. That's great. Houston to me should be a $400 round-trip flight.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Five. Like four or five four five hundred and and and to Kevin's point though because we won't ever do anything about it and we just keep going No because people like Savannah James are always going to be like just charge it to the card yeah Damn it Savannah. And now here we go because I know and by the way you did it too because you were like I'm not doing a stop I'll pay the full 1700. I got to get there that's where I draw the line though I don't do connecting flights I cannot I cannot but sometimes you have to but by the way you talk that ish but then you're on a flight we're like Well, except for in this case, because it's the only way to get to the place. Well, if it's the only way, it's different, but if I can avoid it at all cost.
Starting point is 00:12:57 But, like, what's the number? So, real quick, if it was 1,700 to Houston. Yeah. And you're telling me, and it was 350 to stop in Pittsburgh for an hour and a half. That's five, six times price different. Is it by, am I by myself? Because if you're by yourself, you would. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Oh, no. If I was, like, going for myself, like, on a trip. I'm going to Houston, going to the campaign and then coming right back home. So, like, there was a, I had to get there and then get out. out. So you're paying your own. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Wow. You're really given for the cause. You're going to campaign and just, it's a tax right off. I mean, well, yeah, of course you do. That's business. It's business. I mean, it would be a kid. By the way, it'd be right off for the campaign also, but whatever.
Starting point is 00:13:41 This is a tax right out to. That's, well, yeah, you're drinking it at work, aren't you? Anyway, all right. Look, coming up in the rundown, we're going to cover a few things. Drake isn't done with FOMO yet. there's more. Yes. Something really special in regards to Stevie Wonder and songs in the Key of Life.
Starting point is 00:13:59 It's just going to make you really happy. And honestly, this is when I get mad that we can't play music. I know. I haven't gotten to hear it yet. Oh, yes. Neither have I. And also a Diddy update. So we'll cover all of that coming up.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Well, Kevin, why don't you get us caught up with the Jack Smith of it all? For people who don't know what the Jack Smith hearing was all about. And by that, I mean, myself, I have some idea of what it's about. but can you give us like a mild breakdown? I'm going to disappoint you. No. Tremendously. Because when I tell you, I don't care a damn about these Senate hearings right now
Starting point is 00:14:31 because nothing happens of them. And I'm sick of watching these Republican senators sit there with their smug faces, asking people questions that this isn't going and this isn't leading us anywhere. Jack Smith appeared in front of the Senate to testify about the findings of his investigation into the January six insurrection and he was basically repeating again that Donald Trump is a criminal. It's basically what he came to the Senate to say and he's like, I stand by that. I would have followed through with this investigation
Starting point is 00:15:02 if the president was a Democrat or a Republican. It doesn't matter. And they're trying and the Republicans are all saying it was a partisan witch hunt and you only went for Republicans. This entire thing is about just, it's Republicans seeking another opportunity to suck up to Donald Trump, which to me doesn't make much sense, but it's because Republicans in the Senate most of them are not up for re-election. so they're good to sort of stick around. But Jack Smith was basically going through the findings of his investigation and saying,
Starting point is 00:15:29 listen, Donald Trump didn't just engage in an insurrection. He also left office with classified documents that he was hoping to use in order to overturn the results of a free and fair election. And when we told him, we know you have these documents. He kept impeding us and would not let the Department of Justice retrieve documents that did not belong to him. and he kept them in the bathroom of a ballroom. That's something that's so interesting to me. The bathroom, remember the bathroom picture with all the documents knocked up?
Starting point is 00:15:57 That was the bathroom of the ballroom at Mar-a-Lago. So it's like if we were in this room and behind that curtain over there was just a bunch of like valuable information. It's just crazy. And so he did say that there were a lot of national security secrets in those documents and that that should be important to the Senate
Starting point is 00:16:16 because it's like he just had them on display and anyone could grab them. But there was nothing new. Okay. So I didn't watch. We have a video. Sure. Let's check it out.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Did you go to an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024? What city would that be in? Atlanta. No. Okay. So your testimony today is that you did not go to a Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024. Is that correct? I have no recollection of that.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Let me just give you a little context. The day before. Fannie Willis came clean with her affair with the prosecutor. You know the Atlanta prosecutor that was also trying to get Trump the next day were you in Atlanta? I do not believe so. Okay, did you ever go to Atlanta during your time at special counsel? I really don't think so. It's possible I flew through the Atlanta airport on the way to Florida, but I do not have a recollection of going to Atlanta. I definitely did not go to a hawks game. I'm sure that. You may think you're a hero.
Starting point is 00:17:22 in this story, but let me tell you something. You're the villain. You will go down as a total dirtbag. I recall going to a University of Maryland basketball game where Caitlin Clark was playing right around that time and the Marshal Service was there with me. You could check if that was the exact date. It was Maryland playing Iowa, I think February of 2024. But again, you can check that out if that's what we're talking about. This is so embarrassing. Oh, my God. Could it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes?
Starting point is 00:18:01 Could that be it if he was at an Iowa game? Is that correct? It was because- This is so embarrassing. To Maryland to play. I know, but that might be the confusion over the names of the team, but perhaps you should have looked at it more
Starting point is 00:18:14 carefully. Who's questioning is this, by the last term? Are you using your time, Senator? what this is? Are we just having like an open space? I just like, I'm just in shock that. Well, I'm glad you're trying to rehabilitate the witness, but it's not your time.
Starting point is 00:18:28 When you are calling a witness a dirt bag. I presented him with text messages about him wanting to meet with people that could have obviously been related to the prosecution that was coordinated with his office in a way. I'm going to begin my questions now, but I think that people should have their back straight before they accuse someone of being a dirt bag and not get the team. I stand by that statement. Starting point is 00:19:25 Bloomberg sees the era of billionaire athletes. A fad to some, the future of money to others. We see crypto's trillion-dollar swings. The end of jobs, or the end of human struggle. We see the endless funds fueling the AI hype. While others follow the noise, we follow the money. Learn more at Bloomberg.com. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:19:52 This is so good. Yo, the defensiveness at the end when he knew he was wrong. Amy Globesdard can't wait to become governor and get the out of there. What I think is so funny about and why I didn't watch this, because as funny as it is to watch these people make idiots of themselves, even if you wanted to insinuate that somehow Jack Smith was involved in some nefarious scheme to like go after Donald Trump and that's why he was not where you're claiming he was. We have actual things that we could be talking about. Like the fact that the president of China was just in the White House and Donald Trump offered to sell him weapons despite the fact that China is arming Iran who we are in a war with. Donald Trump wants to arm Iran via China. Why don't Republican senators care about that?
Starting point is 00:20:35 Or the fact that last week when the Supreme Court sided with Donald Trump again the night before, they were at a private dinner with Donald Trump, which also happened just a few months ago. Every time a big decision happens in the Supreme Court, just a few days. days prior or the night before, Kavanaugh, and like, what's his name? I never remember his name. What the other justice? Yeah, the character from the boondocks. I'm just always like, Clarence Thomas? Yes, him. Character from the boondocks. So he, they're always at a private dinner with Trump. Like, that is an actual nefarious scheme there that we're talking about. But this. And then you're just wrong about the entire thing. You know what else was crazy about the Trump sheet thing?
Starting point is 00:21:18 was watching Trump walk down the hallway and do his bit where, you know, you know, the embarrassment that he has he replaced the picture of Biden with the auto pen.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Yes, yes, yes. And watching him make fun of a former U.S. president who currently is dealing with cancer, you made fun of him to the communist leader of China in the White House. Like, bro, in the words of Ebro,
Starting point is 00:21:45 you're a bitch. No, it's a mess. This morning I was listening to the first half of the daily podcast and they were talking about the FBI Jobs Portal that it suffered a major data breach by these cyber extortion group called Shiny Hunters. Bro, people are being doxed. All these FBI agents are being docks and they were coming for talking about Cash Patel. Just the mere photo of Cash Patel just because I can't even look at him. He looks so ridiculous. that is the person in charge of our security.
Starting point is 00:22:19 And they're also using AI to do these things. Oh my God. I mean, and Peter, these are like FBI agents who have done major things and they are exposing their spouses, addresses, their children, their grandparents, everything. All the sensitive information is just out there. We got this, guys. Everything is just fine.
Starting point is 00:22:41 America is great again. Isn't that what it feels like? America's back. You can't feel that. that we are back, you're being a ho. And a bitch. What else moved you yesterday, Kevin? That's one of the reasons we love talking to.
Starting point is 00:22:55 You're our eyes and ears to what the goings-ons of the world. I mean, I have stories that I can share, but I'm going to be honest, they're not happy stories because there's not much happening in the world. Listen, despite evil... By the way, Kevin, respectfully, we don't go to you for happy stories. Most of the stories you tell are not the happiest of stories. That's fair. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Actually, what I would like to mention, you know, shout out to the... in Mississippi Free Press. I wrote a piece when Nolan Wells, when that story first happened, I wrote a piece about sort of like how mainstream media, the truth is, mainstream media waits for voices, for black and brown people online to make
Starting point is 00:23:30 something loud enough that they would care about it. But it's small newsrooms like the Mississippi Free Press that actually broke the story of Nolan Wells that actually are on the ground and focused on it constantly. And they published a piece yesterday that I thought was really interesting. I'm trying to, I'm going to try to phrase this as tactfully as possible, but they basically said that the digital forensic
Starting point is 00:23:48 specialist on Ben Crump's team, so someone who is working with Ben Crump on behalf of Nolan Wells' family, he had to come out and correct his statement regarding what they found on Nolan Wells' cell phone and basically say, we do not think, nor do we have proof that anyone actually accessed his phone after the last time he locked it before he passed away. And when we said that we recovered 282 messages or that 282 messages were deleted what they meant were people were unsending
Starting point is 00:24:22 messages on Snapchat but they didn't recover the messages so they don't know what they say they didn't know who they were from or what they were and basically it wasn't that because the narrative that spun out there was oh 300 messages so whoever had Nolan's phone went through it and deleted that's not what happened
Starting point is 00:24:39 and it was always people were saying were text messages that's a huge And it was Snapchat messages, which can be unsent remotely. If you and I have a conversation on Snapchat, I can unsend my message at any time. And so I just think it's important to clarify that. I think that that is an important update because, again, it was just another one of those stories that people are sort of constantly running with. And language is so important.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Like to say, we've recovered 300 messages or 300 things is what they use the word things. It's also why people need to be digitally literate. Wow, because the way everyone was talking about it, I seriously thought there were text messages. And it makes it sound just evil. Well, from the very beginning, it's been very hard to, as someone who's like following it through you and through the stories I've seen, it's been very hard to tell what meat is actually like on the bone of the story and what is just a really horrible situation. and you have a state in which we have no trust for the people investigating it. But that doesn't mean that the information
Starting point is 00:25:44 that we're hearing is actually there either. So it's been hard to know what's actually there. The truth is that this story is an abyss and people need to like, we need to contend with that. I don't think that there is anyone who is going to come forward
Starting point is 00:26:01 at least not anytime soon with whatever details they have. I think if we were going to hear something we would have. They were on an island. There are no cameras. Do you know what I mean? Like I just, we don't know what happened. And I think people trying to fill in the gap online has only made it harder. And I said this last time we talked about it. I think that that is the reason why a grand jury was like, yeah, no. What am I doing here? Who are we going to prosecute? And, you know, everyone's confusing us. Yeah. You know, and another story that I shared yesterday I do think is important is a 37-year-old black woman is the latest soldier to die in the, uh, Iran military, I don't know what we're calling it because it's not a war, apparently. Her name was Bianca Wilkerson of Norfolk, Virginia, and she died on September 18th. She is at least the 18th U.S. soldier to die.
Starting point is 00:26:52 But there was a Wall Street Journal, I believe, a Wall Street Journal report from last week, an investigation that uncovered that the number of soldiers is actually unknown. There are actually many more U.S. soldiers who have died in this conflict than the Department of Defense has actually really. That's disgusting. So there are probably... How are these people dying? How are these people dying? They're dying via equipment.
Starting point is 00:27:14 They're dying via... Because none of them have died in combat. So it's very unclear, but we don't get details. The Department of Defense, the Pentagon put out a statement after the story broke that she had passed away, that her death is being investigated, so we don't know exactly how she died. But... Can you imagine being the family of one of these soldiers where your loved one goes off to be involved in this conflict, conflict and you're sitting there going, well, look on the bright side.
Starting point is 00:27:40 They're not, there's not actual boots on the ground. There's not actual combat. And they're probably telling their families, like, don't worry, I'm not going to be actually doing anything. And even if the number was just 18, and I'm sure it's more considering they're who we're dealing with. Yeah. It's completely needless.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Yeah, 18 is a lot of people. Someone corrected me and said, can we please pronounce Iran properly? Sorry, I'm a product of American propaganda. It's Iran. Thank you for Iran. What you say Iran? Yeah. Yo, come on, my man.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Come on, bro. Because I'm an idiot. Sorry. My bad. It is funny. It is funny. That's one of those words to me that when you hear someone say it, if they say Iran, they sound like such a gringo idiot. And if they're like Iran, I'm like, who do you think you are?
Starting point is 00:28:26 Who do you think you are? It's loose. It's like gyro. Oh, no. Cutters forget. Cutters forget it. I have some. You're saying Qatar?
Starting point is 00:28:38 I at some point gave up because every time I would be like, Qatar, they'd be like, really bro. And I just, and then you're watching the Nets game and they're like, our sponsors at Qatar Airways. And you're like, all, well, listen, if y'all ain't trying, what am I doing? Sorry, I hope that this is okay,
Starting point is 00:28:54 but I like reading the comments when you guys are live because I'm usually watching. By the way, please. Someone named Lucky said, and they won't even be honored because it's not a war. It's so interesting because just a couple weeks ago, there was a story that broke of a widow
Starting point is 00:29:06 in I believe Texas, who had reported that she did not get the proper payout for her husband who had passed away again because it wasn't a war. Oh my God. And so they did it.
Starting point is 00:29:22 It is a different system. They died in an accident or they died in... Well, it's not a war. That's the thing. Congress is the only entity in our federal government that can declare a war and we are not in a war. And once we enter a certain threshold, that's the thing with like the law is like you know you reach all these levels or you have all
Starting point is 00:29:40 these different you know stipulations so because it's not a war there's a there's a specific sort of payout that happens if you die in combat and her husband's family did not receive that because he he died away from whatever conflict is happening he died in Qatar what is slap in a face whatever we're saying to these families that is disgusting man listen it's so it's so not surprising. And I'm not even saying that just about this administration. This is just classic US stuff right there. Like you don't want to declare it a war because if you declare it a war
Starting point is 00:30:12 you know, it takes on a different sort of meaning to everybody. So, and financially it's different. So now I'm not going to call it a war, but there are repercussions from that. Of course. You want to hit some rundown? Yeah, let's go. Let's do it. Play my song. All right, let me play Laura's big song here.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Laura got the rundown. Turned that up. Screen's on glow when she pulls up. Headlines have but we still cut up light still flashing we don't slow up All right well Drake isn't done with FOMO yet So during a live stream Drake whose FOMO short film included
Starting point is 00:30:46 You know everything from obviously a bunch of like Different visuals to new music Well he confirmed that a bunch of songs Would be streaming on Thursday So there's a soundtrack essentially That's coming out from the movie Correct that was correct New Jersey music
Starting point is 00:31:04 Oh, my God. Kevin, you excited for it? No. You're out on Drake, huh? I can't anymore. I saw a video. I don't pay attention to Drake. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Is it just the battle or no? I didn't want to get to the hip-hop part because this is probably they're going to kill me. No, tell you. Stay, I'm such a dedicated Drake hater. I. But pre-battle? Yeah. It doesn't relate to the battle even.
Starting point is 00:31:26 No. I mean, that was embarrassing. Sure. And that didn't help. But I think it just gave me more validity, you know? But I think once you- So when did it start? Take us on your journey.
Starting point is 00:31:34 of hated the drink when he started when he started being a pop star i got really tired of it got it i think i think the last who i think the last real like good drake album that i really wanted to pay attention to was if you're reading this is too late wow oh okay okay eight nine years ago that was 2014 yeah yeah 12 years ago yeah if you're reading this was too late it's 14 is 12 but you know what that's when a lot of people were in their prime the last because that's also like the pink print came out around the same time so like you're not in the niki anymore why not I will leave. You're being a hope and a big.
Starting point is 00:32:09 No, but she's just, she's giving her political messages. I can't. So wait, who lost you first? Drake lost you first, though. Drake lost me first, absolutely. Now, but you have to admit, though, but Nikki's gone further. Like, if you had to choose.
Starting point is 00:32:20 If you had to choose right now, are you choosing Nikki or Drake? They hate me in the comments already. What'd you say? If you had to choose. Okay, they're both, they're both hanging off a cliff. They're both hanging off a cliff.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Why would you do they to hear? And Kevin and Kevin. You can only use one hand. We know you're very strong. Someone said please do leave. Someone said please do leave. So where are you taking? Whose hand are you grabbing?
Starting point is 00:32:46 Drake or Nick? Absolutely, Drake's. Listen, the thing is he is talented. Yeah, of course. He's talented. I don't like the pop star thing. Like when he started doing, when he started leaning into like some like Afro beach.
Starting point is 00:32:57 You're not a one dance kind of guy. When he started doing, yeah, when he started doing the Ibiza music, I was like, I'm so tired. It wasn't for you. I'm so tired. Okay, okay, it's okay. But it's also like that whole crew, to be clear, that whole crew of like Toronto musicians,
Starting point is 00:33:11 The Weekend, party next door, Drake, I really love their early stuff. Like House of Balloons, the weekend will never recreate his early stuff. I think everyone in general in music who ascends to a certain level starts to lean into pop, starts to lean into like getting hits. And that's when they lose you. I hate that. So, no, listen, I respect this because this is not about the reason a lot of people hate on Drake. this is simply you were a fan
Starting point is 00:33:34 and you did not like where it went artistically. That is a valid thing to have with any artist. Sorry, sorry fan boys and girls. That's how it works. I don't have personal opinions of him. I don't know him. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Okay. Well, that's actually good because this is a different perspective. But Nikki, though. Who? You're a bitch. Moving on. So, uh... Bitch, shut the fuck up!
Starting point is 00:33:55 Some really exciting news. I found the drops, everyone, if you couldn't tell. So Stevie Wonder released a statement and some new music. So Songs in the Key of Life was released 50 years ago. Yeah. 50 years ago, okay? So Stevie Wonder went on Stevie Wonder.net and the message says, in the final days of working on songs in the key of life, ending our sessions at 4.54 a.m., it became one of our unintentional rituals. So today, at the same hour, I'm sharing four songs meant for the album that I've always wanted you to
Starting point is 00:34:31 here. So the tracks are called It's Easier. My Life Story of Love, I can see the sun in late December and I'm into living. So those are available now on streaming services. It's really annoying. We can't just play a snippet. I know because I haven't even listened yet. I know. I got a text
Starting point is 00:34:47 yesterday with it when I was on the air showing me and like songs in the Key of Life is a top, it's a top 10 album for me, all genres. Yeah. And I, so curious and it's like this is crazy to get four songs from the sessions.
Starting point is 00:35:03 So I'm like so curious if any of them are like absolute bangers. Yeah. Are you going to the show? I believe I am. It's sold out, right? Like immediately. Yeah, I think they all sold out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:13 But I'm going to go. My nephew, who is 18 and at Emory, Stevie's his favorite artist, which I like, I'm very proud of. So he is going to come up. I'm going to take him to that show. I went to 40, I believe. I think it's been 10 years. So I went to songs in the key of life 40.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Yes, Griff. The email went to a lot of it. people and they are considering it. No. We reached out to try to get Stevie on the show. And I told him I said to P.N. All right. Producer's.
Starting point is 00:35:39 You did? He said his team is considering it. So let's see. That's interesting. Let's see. Kevin, you're Steve Van? Y'all think he watches? Why do that?
Starting point is 00:35:49 Kevin. Now, you're a piece of shit. You know what? You're a bitch. Listen, my favorite conspiracy of all time is that Stevie Wonders playing a game. I'm sorry. There's a video of Beyonce coming up to him at one point. And you can see him looking down at her dress
Starting point is 00:36:02 and I know that that's not what was happening. But still, I know. By the way, you're as bad as Ebro, bro. Ebro last week when Rhapsody was up here two weeks ago and she's like, you know, Stevie texts me, blah, blah, blah. And Ebro's like, you know, he doesn't type in the number. I was like, really, bro. We're still doing the blind jokes, huh?
Starting point is 00:36:20 Okay, all right. Our most beloved, Stevie. No, this is very exciting, though. So I'm just curious to hear the music. I hope it comes on. That's cool. No, I would die. Honestly, I would die.
Starting point is 00:36:30 You know what? Do me a favor, Griff, while you're at it, send an email to Paul Simon's people. Let's get all the 80-year-old legends who I love to come in. You never know. Sometimes you see these people on random podcasts. You're like, how did they get this person? And they're like, yeah, I've always wanted you.
Starting point is 00:36:45 He was like, well, why didn't you ask? I know. I'm going to the Yankee game tonight. And thanks to a friend of Natalie's, and we have Legend Club access. And the Legend Club, you can see some good people in there. I that's where do you remember like a year ago who was it was it fat Joe who did I tell you posted the picture with Paul Simon do you guys remember
Starting point is 00:37:08 I don't know but it sounds like it could be fat Joe I mean it was definitely flavor flame because you know he posts with everybody yes but I was like I was saying what will I do if I see Paul Simon in the Legends Club at a Yankee playoff game I'd really geek out I already know what I do I have a full plan I'd be I would I wouldn't reference anything about me I would just say and I wouldn't even say that I'm no longer his co-host. I would just like, hey, I'm Michael Kay's co-host. Because he's a big Yankee fan.
Starting point is 00:37:35 He's done a bunch of things with Michael. I would definitely reference Michael Kay. Okay, okay. You got to know your positions when you reference the people who can put, because I worry Paul could be a little prickly and not like the type who's into chatting it up with yo-yo's. Okay. I'll let you know if I see anything excited. By the way, shout to the Yankee fans out there.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Nine-nothing. They won game one against the Red Sox didn't even show up yesterday. Ben Rice is still hitting home runs right now, Louis. Hey, Louis, what do you want to say about the lineup now? Louis, Louis texted me yesterday, angry. Louis, you said you had a rant today prepared to talk about how bad the Yankee lineup was. What are your thoughts now? They were lost and that offense didn't do anything. Oh, I would have went crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:13 But did it happen? It didn't happen. Rosario didn't quite work out the way he wanted to, but it all worked out. Nine nothing, you take you. Thank God for Ben Rice. And Schlittler. Oh, Schlittler was amazing. Schillet was amazing.
Starting point is 00:38:23 117 pitches, though, it scares me. But how do you guys, Laura Kev, how do you guys feel about the fact that the Yankees is The best pitcher is named Schlittler. I do not care about baseball because I grew up raised by a Yankees fan and a Boston Red Sox fan. What do you mean? My mother was a Red Sox fan and my father is like a diehard Yankees fan. Wow. So I just really hated baseball.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Are they still together? No. That didn't work. It didn't work at all. Damn. So you just checked out on baseball altogether. Yeah, it was very traumatic. And all my cousins and I, like, they would for
Starting point is 00:38:58 was to play baseball. It was a lot. I think there was just a lot of... You're Dominican, right? Yeah, there was a lot of PTSD. There was a lot of PTSD around baseball. I'm tired of this grandpa. I just stopped, so, no.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Dominican baseball fans from the Bronx who are just hardcore Red Sock fans because of Poppy. They're a Dominican team. Yeah, they're seen as the Dominican team, right? Oh, yeah. And that goes back to Poppy and Manny. It goes big Poppy, Pedro, Manny.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Oh, Pedro, two. It's three of them. Yeah. It's the three, like, studs of the team. team. We're all Dominican. So it's very funny, Laura, that you can see Dominicans from the Bronx. You would think would just be the biggest Yankee fans in the world. No, I've seen it. But in a perfect New York twist, the Red So I've seen that. Well, guess what? They were sad yesterday. All right, what else you got, Laura? So Diddy just got another chunk shaved off his federal
Starting point is 00:39:45 prison stint. So his new release date got moved up another month. For now. Yeah. So he could be a free man just three weeks into 2028. So according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, his records are currently scheduled for him to be released from Fort Dix, January 21, 2028, since initially being listed as June 2028. So they just have been shaving like a few weeks here, a few weeks there, and why do you say for now? So there is a new NBC report that came out yesterday. It's an exclusive NBC's story. And the title is Diddy's Pampered Life and Prison. Some of these details are not going to shock y'all, but I find them fascinating. So we were talking this morning, all of us, about how, like, we heard that, like,
Starting point is 00:40:32 Diddy's getting, like, nude photos, like, mailed to him in prison, which is, please stop. But also... I didn't know this, by the way. What, you mean women are sending... Like, women are, like, mailing him photos in prison, like his pen pals or whatever. But he is apparently... What's wrong with you? Reportedly, I will say.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Diddy has reportedly spent thousands of dollars a month to bring his lifestyle into the low-security prison that he's being held in in South Jersey, including spending. money to pay other inmates to give him massages and getting Hennessy into the facility via guards apparently. He's somehow getting his hands on narcotics and he has a cell phone. There is a video that was leaked online that NBC shared and did he we have that video? Yeah, let's watch. Tonight, an inside look at how Sean Combs is living in federal prison. For the first time in footage exclusively obtained by NBC News, Combs is seen using a cell phone, which is prohibited by federal law. This all comes nearly a year
Starting point is 00:41:41 after Combs was sentenced to 50 months for prostitution-related offenses. NBC News spoke to four men who spent time with Combs in prison at Fort Dix in New Jersey. They were granted anonymity to speak freely about life inside prison. They described Diddy's privileged life, saying he's paid thousands of dollars a month to other inmates to do chores like make his bed, clean his toilet and shower, even give him massages. They also cook him special meals like these, from pizza to onion rings. Those sources say the money flows from people outside prison to the commissary accounts of those inmates performing the services.
Starting point is 00:42:19 Multiple sources said Diddy has used contraband cell phones to scroll Instagram. One source pointing NBC news to an Instagram account that Combs uses with no profile picture that's followed by Combs' publicist. They also say he has access to a modified tablet, which allows him to watch movies and television shows. A source calls Diddy's prison life a party with regular access to alcohol and Remmeron and antidepressant with mood boosting effects. The Bureau of Prisons tells NBC News, inmates are not permitted to have access to cell phones. And per policy, they do not comment on any incarcerated individual, adding, like all correctional agencies contraband particularly cell phones narcotics and weapons remains a
Starting point is 00:43:04 constant challenge and we continue to tackle the problem and tonight a spokesperson for combs says the media is characterizing ordinary prison life as news chloe joins us now live in studio and chloe we just learned combs is released was moved up yeah will these videos now affect that you know it's visit bet mdm casino and check out the newest exclusive the price is right fortune Pick. Starting point is 00:43:52 I mean, it doesn't surprise me, guys. I mean, this type of stuff happens all the time and did he has a lot of power and a lot of money. So you're telling me your man is still living like the Chappelle, like a Chappelle sketch on Diddy in jail. Pretty much. They're like guys named Delicious who he's like bossing around to have like cook for him and clean him. Delicious is crazy. I'm going to only refer to him from now on as inmate number 37452-054.
Starting point is 00:44:21 All right. You're done. It rolls off the time. Let me ask you a question about Diddy. and I and I you know I have to say it is a little more complicated for me than just you know that I'm sure it is for Kevin who you can see the things on
Starting point is 00:44:36 you can see the things that we know that he's done know that he's done and just be like you know whereas like yes I know the thing that he's done and they're absolutely horrible but I do it is hard for me to absolutely shit on someone who I've had many positive experiences with and I know to other people that makes you sound like you're a gross human being no it's not that
Starting point is 00:44:54 it just makes you sound like I think you're kind of But it's just complicated. You're just like, oh, I don't know. Yeah, the things I've seen are awful, but like, I could hope he's capable of rehabilitation. I would hope that of anyone. Did he hasn't killed anyone? And even if he killed someone, I'd hope he's capable of rehabilitation. So it is a complicated thing.
Starting point is 00:45:11 I always said from the beginning, though, when this got to a certain place, I was like he's done. There's no coming back, right? The question is now, time does change a lot of things. No, no. And this is America. Okay. Look who we have in the White House. is there a world in which
Starting point is 00:45:27 Diddy makes his way back into the public eye in any way or do you think my original thought that it was done forever holds true? No, he can make his way back into the public eye and I think he will. I, okay, so me, I'm done with him. To me, everything that I,
Starting point is 00:45:42 I mean, listen, we have heard these industry rumors forever, right? Not wrong. And for me personally, like, I saw everything I had to see. Like, I am good. I'm not saying I've seen the NDAs from men who claimed to have slept with Diti
Starting point is 00:45:56 but I'm not saying I've never seen them Okay And well what's what's what's it Is that more telling Is there stuff in there that's more telling than what we already know? Because it feels like the word Like I wonder if there's worse out there than
Starting point is 00:46:12 Like the Cassie video is basically all you would need right It's horrifying In a in a normal society Where people are comfortable Holding people accountable Then yes I think the Cassie video should be enough. But I think the testimony of people who were a part of that trial,
Starting point is 00:46:31 the various Jane Does who talked about being trafficked, which was proven to be true, which is why he's in prison. He's in whether or not, like, we want to call it trafficking because the charges are for prostitution. But like these women are saying it was against their will. He trafficked them and offered them up to men. for sex. That is a crime that is just a depraved act.
Starting point is 00:46:59 Morally. But what I have heard from people is that there's absolutely much more and it's much worse. But even just listen to like some of the high profile women who share their experiences. Don Richard says he had her naked and locked her in a car for hours. The Aubrey O'Day stories are horrifying. Yeah. But like he locked Don in a car in a parking garage. and her father had to come and find her.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Bro. Like, that's insane. And those are the high profile people. It is. Correct. And imagine all the people who worked around him that have suffered, God knows what. Like, that's why I say, for me, I am good.
Starting point is 00:47:35 But where do you think it goes then? You think like... So I think he's going to get out of jail, right? And I think he's going to do some sort of concert. Like me and Louis were just talking about this. I don't know if it's going to do the Madison Square Garden. He might. He's going to do some kind of welcome home.
Starting point is 00:47:47 And I can see a few artists that are going to be that have been very quiet. I can see them standing by him. I can see a French Montana. I'm just being like, that's my dog. Like, yeah. No, friendship max are popping out at the Diddy Show. There's, you bet, bet your life on it. Yes, and there's others that will be.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And there'll be others too. Yes. And I'm not, by the way, I know the chat will be disappointed. I'm not judging them for that. That's their people. Same way I said, I didn't, I don't judge Cuddy's, I mean, Cuddy in them for standing next to A. Your people are your people and if you want to stand by them and you choose to believe
Starting point is 00:48:17 that the worst accusations are not, against them are not true, that's your choice. going to the concert again if I met someone like you know I'm going to this ditty concert welcome home puff I'd look at them like they were nuts but I just wonder will he ever make it back to like an award show no no no like you don't think ever no Hollywood is they the the industry is not going to accept him the streets will because people are still like sending commissary money to R Kelly but like the industry will never give and opportunity to do anything. But the thing is he was allowed to reach a level of success
Starting point is 00:48:58 where he is too big to fail. He will come out and probably write a book and self-publish it if he has to. He'll probably finance his own biography. He'll probably try and sue 50 cents for that Diddy documentary, which won an Emmy. Yeah, I, but someone said, answer the question, Can he change? No, I don't think that he can change.
Starting point is 00:49:24 Well, look at what we're learning. Like, I don't think he's, that's not rehabilitation, guys. Yeah, I will tell you. That's a great point, Laura. That story doesn't give me a lot of faith. Yeah. That, like, he's in there. I mean, this is a guy who needs to be an incredible level of, you know,
Starting point is 00:49:44 he needs a lot of work in program. This guy needs to be doing all of the anonymous programs. Alcoholics Anonymous, sex addicts anonymous. Like he was suffering, he is dealing with every problem a human being could have and can't,
Starting point is 00:50:00 so if he's not doing tons of work around the clock and you find out that he's got delicious cleaning his underwear and making him steak, it doesn't bode well. I'll be honest. Yeah, like I just don't see it.
Starting point is 00:50:10 I don't think he wants to be rehabilitated, quote unquote. Well, no one wants to be rehabilitated. The question is, do you get to a point where you realize you've lost control of your life? or does he still believe
Starting point is 00:50:21 he should still be controlling things? I still believe that he thinks that he still should be controlling things. Yeah, like he thinks yeah, he's seen these little messages yeah, God, that's cute, but I still got this on Ditty. Well, someone, Ken Brum wrote
Starting point is 00:50:36 the prison system isn't rehabilitary. And I agree with that. I mean, at the end of the day, I'm an abolitionist, I don't believe in prisons, but I do think that there is, we have to find a place for people like Diddy.
Starting point is 00:50:47 That is the unfortunate truth of like, society is that we have to figure out what to do with people like him. Tomorrow, on tomorrow's show, I'd like to get more into your abolitionist ideas. Yeah, me too. I'm curious. I'd like to hear some of the ideas. I hate having those conversations, but we will have that.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Well, you're the one who, you know, listen, you brought it up. Now we got to do it. I want to dive in. Yes, yes, yes. All right. Should we hit a guru? No, I brought an important story because Kevin brought nothing but negative. Laura brought basically nothing but negative.
Starting point is 00:51:18 I have something to make everybody happy. Okay. I'm gonna ask you if something's interesting or not interesting. Shrek. Interesting. Interesting. Drake. Between.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Ones and tomatoes. Not interesting. Between. Between. Chrome Hearts. Between. Candy. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Chocolate. So-so. Cheeseburgers. Yes. Interesting. Keep going, Steve. I'm all ears. I'm interesting.
Starting point is 00:51:41 iPhone. Access. Interesting. iPhone cases. Well, interesting. Rollercoasters. There's more question for interesting. Go on.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Halapino peppers. So-so. Halapeno pepper skin poppers. So-so. What? Popcorn. Interesting. Cheese popcorn.
Starting point is 00:51:56 So-so. Chocolate covered popcorn. So-so. Caramel covered popcorn. Interesting. I love him. What the, did I just watch? Explain to him who he is.
Starting point is 00:52:05 It's Dylan. It's Dylan from Love on the Spectrum. He's a character who popped up this season. Ah. And he is just pure joy. And he says, interesting all the time. And he's so cute and so sweet. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:52:17 So we use his interesting on the show. That is crazy. You never seen Love on the Spectrum? Only the first season. Rosenberg loves it. Where was that again? That was, was that, you mean the first American season? American season.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Yeah, yeah, it didn't start in America. Oh, I don't know that. It was Australian, England first. It had a couple of seasons overseas. Back in 2022, I think. All right, so it might have been the first American season. Yeah. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:52:44 But it's just crazy. What's such a cool thing about that show is, they have such a trove of incredible people to find. Yeah. So, like, all they got to keep doing is searching to find more charming, fun people who want to be on the show. And that's like Dylan, certain characters kind of, like, if we're being honest, Griff,
Starting point is 00:53:04 if you're watching the show? Yeah. Okay. You got to be honest. Connor's kind of fading on us a little bit. It's like, Connor... He's not back for next season. He's not even back.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Yeah. So, like, Connor was... He found love. He found love. He got hot in these streets. Conner used to be like the main squeeze on the show. Like you waited for Conner's parts. And then it's like he's kind of...
Starting point is 00:53:25 He found love, so he's out. And like you just like... You get used to what someone's sort of like personal things are. And like, all right, we know Conner's thing. He's obsessed with Kings and Game of Thrones and England. And then all of a sudden this Dylan comes along. And you're like, who is this guy? And he's just the sweetest, sweetest, sweetest guy.
Starting point is 00:53:41 And Logan came. Law. And I'm guessing Logan will be back. Do we know the cast for next year? No, I don't know the full cast. but Connor came out and said he's not coming back. Yo, Netflix, can we get some cast members on the show for the love of God, please? Oh, I actually have contact with him.
Starting point is 00:53:55 I asked you guys. No, you didn't. Why? No, I guess the other two said no, but I brought it up. Lori, you wouldn't want to, you wouldn't want Dylan on the show? Absolutely. I would love to talk to Dylan. He's so cute.
Starting point is 00:54:09 All right, we'll figure it out. I think it was his name, first season? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he was doing press run. No, they're doing, but they're all doing a good amount of pressure right now. Yeah, let's look into it. I mean, listen, we got to get the right cast members. I can't get any yo-yo up here.
Starting point is 00:54:21 This is Zebro Lauren Rosenberg, for God's sake. Do we have, do we have any gurus? Nothing I got. Yo, man, guys. Interesting. No. L-O-J, cool, Jay. Kevin, you have any relationship questions you want to ask?
Starting point is 00:54:36 Relationship questions? Yeah, no. For the gurus. Nope. The original gurus at gmail.com. Send us your emails. The original gurus at gmail.com. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:54:47 It does feel. like we're getting like more love than ever, but our email is like worse. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah. I would say that like the getting things from the people is not as strong, which is odd because every other metric digitally, things are way up. But yet people aren't sending the emails the same. What's the email?
Starting point is 00:55:10 Original gurus. The original gurus. The original gurus at gmail.com. That's probably why you're not getting this. It's a lot of characters. The original gurus, but all easy words. By the time I was done typing the email, I wouldn't want advice anymore. You'd be like, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Oh my God, Kevin. I'm kidding. Send the emails. Did you see, send the emails? Did you see Seif's post yesterday? No. Interesting. Someone said we're all in healthy relationships.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Yeah. Our whole chat. How about, you know what we did? You know what we should do? Let's read a couple of messages from the chat. Wait, so what else said I ain't sending you all nothing? Y'all ain't flaming me? That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Guys, how about this? They're scared of you. We do have a couple of super chats too. So let's have Louis give us some super chats. Kevin, if you see some fun, interesting comments you want to share, we'll do that instead. Louis, what do you got in the super chat? Yeah, so we have BNA established 1988. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Flew Southwest from BWI to SRQ on 9-11 weekend to see Kay Lani in Tampa. Okay. $800, but I had $1,700 in flight credit to use. Well, by the way, that $800 for BWI to 2.3 to 2. Tampa is stupid. That is a, you would think Tampa, in the summer it was? Yeah, 11 weekend. Tampa, September, I, that feels like a $300 flight.
Starting point is 00:56:30 That's crazy to me. All right, what else we got? And EDXVN said, need more Kevin on the show, love you all. I'll tell you what, they love Kevin. After Kevin's last appearance on the show, I heard from both of my parents. Oh, really? Both. Kevin is tremendous.
Starting point is 00:56:47 Who is? Tremendous crazy. He's so great. Shout out to the chat. Why are you ignoring great praise from people who don't know? You should take that in. I don't like compliments. They're weird.
Starting point is 00:57:00 What do you mean? Because either people are lying or they're telling the truth and that's a lot of pressure. So I don't like compliments. From love on the spectrum to Kev on the spectrum. This is you can't. I found your this is your thing. You can't hear a compliment? I hate it.
Starting point is 00:57:15 I will divert. At least I really nailed it I didn't think it was coincidence He just ignored it All right, what do you have, Kevin? I forgot what I was going to say Oh my God You said you had someone good
Starting point is 00:57:27 You got that thrown off by a compliment I did, I did Well, he was loved I was gonna say shout out the chat There was only two comments Okay about me being gay today You know what And I love that for you
Starting point is 00:57:37 Y'all are growing I don't know if it's because you know that I'm reading the comments But I love those comments What were the comments? And every time I respond I respond Someone said I don't watch baseball because I grew up playing with dolls.
Starting point is 00:57:52 And I didn't actually. I played soccer growing up. That's a very basic old gay insult. Yeah, like, all right. We can be more minded. I actually just never liked toys. I never had like action figures either. Really?
Starting point is 00:58:06 Someone really liked Kevin on the spectrum. I didn't. I'm sorry. I'm okay. And then someone else said this guy's zesty. Shout out to you. you, I respond to his comment. I love when straight men point out
Starting point is 00:58:18 that they can tell that I'm gay. If you want some, say less. It's really crazy to me. Why would someone feel the need to point that out? Because people are stupid. How do you feel about people using the word zesty as a replacement for some sort of gay insult? Yeah, that is how it's being used, if we're being
Starting point is 00:58:40 honest. Like all the Carl Anthony Towns jokes, for example, that were out there. You saw those on the internet. All of it is a way of trying to be like homophobic in a slick way. Am I wrong? I guess. I don't know. I think after a while, that sort of stuff is sort of like water off your back.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Like it's just, I don't know. I don't really pay attention to the way that the general population refers to like gay or queer people. I think it's silly. My favorite though, my favorite comment that I got on this show was I think it was like the first or second time I was on here. And someone in the chat was like, nah, there's no. there's no way a grown man is that skinny. I was like, why are you looking at my waist, bro? What is wrong with you?
Starting point is 00:59:20 This is so dumb. And I went to this page. I was like, yo, you are big? Are you a grown-ass man in your 40s? He's like, he's so skinny. I was like, you like, you like that? And why is that the first thing you're paying attention to? And also, we do the show sitting down.
Starting point is 00:59:35 How hard are you looking at this man? I know. He's wearing a sweatshirt for question. Like they're like. Yeah, Louie. I was going to say, you know what else is also is funny? When the chat goes off, every time Griff gets on camera, and people are like, Griff is black?
Starting point is 00:59:52 Oh, my God. Like, there's always more or two. Every time. Damn. Like, shocked. No, every time. But the crazy thing is he's been our producer now for over a decade. Bam, yes.
Starting point is 01:00:01 Like, you guys don't know by now? Do you know, his tastes are often very white, but he is very black. Yeah. He has a grandmother. What family member crawled in the coffin? Grandma, it was her birthday yesterday, 96. Shout out to Grif's 96-year-old grandma. She once climbed in a coffin at a funeral.
Starting point is 01:00:15 You know Gris Black. Her ex-husband's brother. It was her ex-husband's brother. Oh, my God. Did she have an affair with him? Why'd she crawl in the... That's doing too much for your brother-in-law. Your ex-brother-in-law, she crawled in the coffin?
Starting point is 01:00:31 No, Gris' family, like, stories are hilarious. He tells me the funny... No, by the way, it's crazy because he will, like, literally sit here. Like, he probably went home and burnt candles for... Mr. Belding yesterday. Like his taste is so white and the stories of his family are so black. It is, it's an incredible balance
Starting point is 01:00:50 like we've never seen. He's an anomaly. Kev, you want to come back tomorrow? Sure. We would love to have you. I only live 10 minutes away. We won't compliment you. I got this section of loyal.
Starting point is 01:01:00 If you want to come on, I was like literally whenever. I live down the road. I'll be here. All right, we love that. No Kev on the spectrum. No compliments. We start fresh tomorrow. And by the way, can you wear something
Starting point is 01:01:10 a little tighter though? Let us take the waist. All right, we'll see you guys tomorrow. There's a Patreony episode out today. That's right. Me, Laura, and Mendez. We do a lot of, we do some old talk, show some old Hot 97 video and talk about all kinds of stuff, news stories and lots of different stuff. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:01:29 Check that out on Patreon, ELR show. Thank you, Kevin. I would say you were good, but we don't want things to get weird.
