Starting point is 00:00:00 Just don't call in a podcast. Yo, we're live. Drop the beat. Ebro-Lor Rosenberg. Okay. All right. Okay is exactly right. We got things to get to today.
Starting point is 00:00:25 But first things, first, Rosenberg and I were debating just before we came live on the Ebro-Ber-Law-Roszenberg show. Please subscribe. Please share. Please comment. Please engage in some sort of way. We'd love to know you. We'd love to hear from you. That when we launched our Patreon yesterday, I went in the full meltdown.
Starting point is 00:00:46 I don't want to hear from Rosenberg right now. And you can go to our Patreon, Ebro, Laura Rosenberg, or the ELR show. You can search it both ways. It's $999, or you could, you know, buy up the whole year. You know what I'm saying? Keep this thing alive. Laura, do you think I went to full meltdown? Not full because I've seen worse.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I didn't argue full. Yeah, Laura, I didn't say full. I said he melted down. You definitely stepped on it. Yeah, you do you like relatively quickly. You ended up in a legit, let me say this. You were legitimately at least moderately unhinged. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Like unglued just a bit. I wouldn't say full, no, full meltdown. That's different. That's different. Well, I think, I don't know, Rosenberg. I spoke to you again yesterday afterwards. words. I get triggered by, well, this trip, what triggered me was Rassan our cameraman, sending
Starting point is 00:01:43 Rosenberg a text, trying to explain to Rosenberg how to conduct basically offering up a clip during the show. Like, like he needed to give Rosenberg direction, which then sent me into a tailspin of like, yo, do people understand how the hot 97 ebro in the morning thing actually function? or do they think we just showed up every day and were like some rando talents who just happened to have a microphone? Right.
Starting point is 00:02:13 And if it wasn't for the great management who coached us up, we wouldn't have been able to do it. Like, do they understand that we were winning and doing great for years and the people running around who would be leading us did not even know what was happening? It was just a completely self-contained operation. Well, and I didn't know, like,
Starting point is 00:02:33 I think I'm out of state. in my life where I'm looking around and I'm like do people know how I got here? Do people know what I actually do? I don't think so. Do people know the actual work that I'm able to accomplish things I've done on behalf of major corporations on a day-to-day basis? The teams I mean, they know nothing. They just think I get in front of a microphone.
Starting point is 00:02:58 But by the way, it's not their fault because a lot of people just get in front of a microphone and just go. And don't have any behind the scenes, planning, programming, organization, or managerial skills. My favorite thing that I read the other day was, like, them trying to make fun of you, like, look at you at your little Apple music, little show. Ha ha, ha. Don't you know that we all know that the real money goes to the executives? You're, I was like, oh, I'm one of those, too. I know.
Starting point is 00:03:28 But that is, you know what? That's what the, congratulations. you play yourself. But you know what? People don't know. And so, and I don't talk about it. So I guess hit me with the button. Because if I'm frustrated, maybe I should do more pat myself on the back and doing
Starting point is 00:03:47 interviews and running around and talking about all the things I'm involved in. People still, but I never wanted to be that person. You a program director. And that hasn't happened in how many years? Whoa. 10? More than 10, I think.
Starting point is 00:03:59 No, just over. 10. Yeah. I haven't even been. I haven't even the last summer people ask me about summer jam still. I haven't been involved in summer jam
Starting point is 00:04:09 since the pandemic. The last one was in the pandemic, maybe? Yeah, probably. Right after? I've been a few years. I even have moments of my other show. God bless. God bless my other show. Don Hannah Rosenberg, having a great time
Starting point is 00:04:23 over there at ESPN New York. And this happened when it was the K show too. I love my co-hosts and I love everyone's ideas, but sometimes I will throw out an idea and I see people like and I want to like smash the table and be like guys I've been coming up with ideas that win in New York City in the morning since 2007 why don't you just believe me I love you guys I love you guys but I turned the winning on quite a bit when I got
Starting point is 00:04:54 here and it wasn't just like great on the air I know I have learned through the years at hot ways to trigger things and get things off trust me I I'm not just throwing things at the wall, but we live in an era, Ebro, we're like, I don't want to say specifically, but there's someone in my orbit where I do things who is so bad and on air, so bad. And I talk about it with someone else I work with him.
Starting point is 00:05:20 And when you say bad for the people watching and listening right now, what do you mean? Do you mean not entertaining? Do you mean unprofessional? Do you mean, what do you mean? because there's a lot of ways to be bad at doing this. Because there are some people who are, Mike comes on, entertaining,
Starting point is 00:05:39 captivating. Maybe they don't speak well. And you might say they're a bad speaker, however, very entertaining, right? Yeah, yeah, for sure. So what I'm referring to is, it's not that they're stupid or don't have any, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:56 anything interesting to say. There could be some interesting things to say in there. but the packaging of it is done so badly and no one, and this is very common I found, I don't know how you guys feel in my time in entertainment, rarely do people coach anymore at all. No, that doesn't happen.
Starting point is 00:06:15 They just let the person go. And I'm like, you really want this to be representing the product? Like this is, because this is representing other people who are professional and did put in the work. And when you don't, and now we live in an era where if someone has, you know, some, followers. Someone cares about what they want.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Goes viral. Just throw them on. And they forget that being a broadcaster is not the same as content creation. Yeah. Like there actually is something here that's professional. Well, and then being able to do both, right?
Starting point is 00:06:50 Create content. Make people laugh. Also take serious angles and have serious insights on things. have music skills, right, able to play music, present music, pick hits, right? Like all of these things are different talents. Some people have all of them.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Some people have some of them. But I think, you know, we're living at a time where the audience doesn't know the difference and won't really know the difference until they start to like compare and contrast. Right. And so that's what my unraveling as they have framed it was about. was this kind of world that we're in where it's like, yo, so y'all think because I'm not doing the morning show anymore at that radio station, at somehow everything that I did there, which you may not know about,
Starting point is 00:07:42 or everything that I was doing on a day-to-day basis to keep that thing focused and targeted, is just left there and it can't be duplicated again? Well, but this is why one of my frustrations with the last many years there, that I to be at a place that's rudderless is is really challenging speaking of which i'm glad you said that station and i don't want to send you iber on the bend but i'd also be remiss to not i'm sorry i have to do what's right for the world and say what needs to be said okay yo they they played the clip of ibrough i'm being our thoughts are telling us that they played the clip of ebro talking to rocky on hot and wouldn't reference ebro in the clip now y'all y'all trolling me y'all trolling that's
Starting point is 00:08:25 By the way, I'm not saying the audience is trolling. I'm saying Mero and Cass, Mia Bell, Shimoni, Cass, and Juanito, y'all trolling. Maybe they got an instruction. No, no, no. No, they did get an instruction. And the people who gave them that instruction, y'all trying to get, y'all trying to, y'all trying to get me active out here. Y'all trying to activate. Why?
Starting point is 00:08:47 Why? But you know what? Once again, this is bad management. Because the audience knows. So you look stupid. Audience knows. And if you want the show to be successful, you want them to gain as many people as they can.
Starting point is 00:09:02 If they show love to us, it will endear them to people in the morning show audience that's already there. Because I don't know if you know this, we had a really big audience that we cultivated over the last 18 and a half years. So, like, you can't pay for that sort of camaraderie with audience, but we can do.
Starting point is 00:09:22 But not only that, but also just camaraderie between shows. Like, we're not competing. This is not a, this shouldn't be a competition to them, right? Like, people could go listen to Merrill in that squad. People could bounce over here and listen to this. People can listen to this later, listen to that live. People have options. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:09:40 We live in a world where human beings exercise them. And that's what they love, many people love about the time and place we're in, in the media landscape is they have plenty of options to choose from. They don't have to stick to one place. They don't have to feel trapped to one audience or one, you know, content distributor. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, y'all trying to troll me with that.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I'm not falling for that. Now, don't, don't take the, don't take the banana in the tailpipe. You don't even need that. And it's probably, honestly, I bet you it was, this is my bet. My bet is there was no instruction to do that. They just played it safe out of fear. Sure. They played it safe out of fear, not knowing what to do because they're all green.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Many of them are green. And many of the people in that room were all. the people in that room aren't in a position to make an executive decision. Right. No, that's that's, oh, no, how could they be? And by the way, shout out to Kaz, who got this amazing opportunity from this area, always been a supporter of ours, wonderful guy, loves Hot 97, respects the brand. And yeah, got this opportunity.
Starting point is 00:10:47 You're not showing up there and then being like, let me just take a risk for no reason. Because it's an unnecessary risk. Well, it's way too soon. So, you know, listen, that's And who are they to take advice from us? We're like, not trust us, you're fine. Take as many risks you want. What could happen?
Starting point is 00:11:04 Shoot some shots. But I do appreciate the promo. Y'all not going to get me out of pocket today. I'm just not in the move for that. I do appreciate the promo. And my Apple music show is live every day. All you do is hit the Apple Music app and you can hit radio and I'm there live every day,
Starting point is 00:11:21 3 o'clock. It's all music. It's like, you know, damn near 95%. music. I play yesterday I started the show it was cold outside so I started with reggae classics. Oh, Biddy McLean. You know what I'm saying? You don't know about Betty McLean? I got some under me slang tang
Starting point is 00:11:37 you know what I mean? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You know what I'm saying? Some Barrington Levy. It was vibes, man. And then I jump on TikTok yo and you know man, somebody got to be paying these people to work as hard as they do to hate on me, man. On, on TikTok? What was on TikTok? Yeah. Just the comments. On the rock? On the live. A live. A live. live and I play records on TikTok because you can't do it on IG.
Starting point is 00:11:59 So I'll start on IG like, yo, you know, I'm about to go live on the air, you know, everybody tune in. Then I'll jump over to TikTok and go for like 30 minutes live, blending some records, picking some songs, having fun, whatever. And then, but there's people who literally every day spend 30 minutes or however long I'm on live, just trolling. It's so funny. And what kind of, I just think, what kind of a loser are you to be like,
Starting point is 00:12:25 okay 30 minutes of my time right now to be a hater. That's why I said they got to be paid. Do you have to be paid actors? I mean, listen, it's in the comments. You're giving them a lot, a lot of credit. Well, no, no, no. And I'm into it because you're working hard. This is like real work.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Because they just keep posting. And I'm not responding. So you just keep posting, keep posting. And we'll take the engagement. Now we got the ELR Army. The ELR Army jumps in there. The EL Army jumps in and starts mixing it up and promoting this show.
Starting point is 00:12:55 pretty good it was oh i love that i love that that works for us i just pulled up my ticot live i'm gonna see if if i just sit here and do absolutely nothing i never go on live i just to see if hateful people just show up just to be like a o f you let me see i'm gonna turn on my ticot live right now too is there a way we could collab how does this work how do boobers two boobers trying to you can Collab. Invite another host. Hold on. Invite another host and go live together. Hold up. Yeah, no, you absolutely could do that. I'm gonna see. I'm gonna invite you. Hold on. All right. The search for hate. Because they're there, Laura. Trust me. The other day, I posted something about football. I posted about it says you're not on live. So I guess you have to go. I just jumped in. I just jumped in. Let's see. Invite. Invite. I'm gonna invite you. No, no. Hold on. I'm already there. I'm already. Oh, you already invited me. Okay, here we go. See? Boom. Look at us. Now turn your volume down. Don't be a weird. I did.
Starting point is 00:13:50 I didn't. I volume down. All right. We are live on TikTok right now. Make sure you subscribe. Look at that, folks. I, bro Laura Rosenberg.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Yep. So, guys, I posted the other day on, on Twitter, something about the Bills game. The catch, no catch thing. I believe it was that. Right. And that was your video that you posted. Maybe it was the video.
Starting point is 00:14:11 I posted a few things about football. I know it was related to football. Got it. Got it. And someone jumped on and started talking, ish about my daughter on a football post what you know what's what's up with your daughter's eyes it looks like she's got fetal alcohol syndrome whoa whoa what what literally as nasty as humanly possible and by the way I looked and I and I commented back and then saw it it was not a bot like this was a real
Starting point is 00:14:42 it was a former listener he knew things about me he was like yeah you know um snowflakes like you who take paternity leave. I was like, oh, you actually listen. No, you're a fan. No, you're like a fan. And screenshot it and put his profile out, post it. Oh, let's spicy styles.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Here we go. Let the world know what these people are, you know, because they hide. They write all this disgusting things. Like you gotta be a loser, a complete loser, to write negative things about children. Imagine her, like, I always think about that. Your friends and family, if they,
Starting point is 00:15:19 knew that you respond to radio host and you talk about their newborn children and it insult them you're you'd be proud to be that person that's who you want to be in your life bro screenshot his profile make it live we are there are degenerates out here the lord's ready he's coming from my knees Tia styles is ready to spice this thing up let's go a lot of degenerates out here and one of them is the president of the united states i don't know if you guys saw this guy rambling at the world economic forum well i i thought about this last night i said i said if Ebro, I said if Trump in Switzerland didn't make it to Ebro's weird algorithm, I'm going to be unhinged tomorrow. Trump and Switzerland was wild. They was just letting him freestyle. And why was he
Starting point is 00:16:00 standing at the podium and the other guy was sitting behind him on the seat? Like, did he not want to sit down with the guy? What was the setup here? Are you talking about it? He just walked out and rambled. Like, I don't understand. Bro, the speech was insane. And this was a really interesting one because so many other people were there. Not all these rural leaders were there. But then even, you know, Gavin Newsom was there. Al Gore was there. Yes. All these Democrats are there, too, listening and grilling this dude as he makes, yo, Ebro, he referred to Greenland blatantly as Iceland multiple times. Was it blatant or he just doesn't know the difference?
Starting point is 00:16:33 Yeah, sorry, sorry. I guess you're right. Was it blatant or he doesn't? Well, you remember, that's Darth dementia right there, so we don't know what's going on upstairs. I thought about, I don't want to get our things, so I don't want to get us taken down, so I won't, we won't be able to play it, I guess. It would be good for Patreon next week. but it'll be old by then. Yo, Kimmel, bro, last night
Starting point is 00:16:51 before I went to bed, I opened YouTube for a second, and the Kimmel got recommended to me. It had just went up. Yo. Yo, Ebro, respectfully, you think that you go hard? Kimmel goes hard. Bro, on the size of the platform, everything about his wife, about him in bed,
Starting point is 00:17:11 about, yo, do you hear the line that Trump said, they love me in Greenland before they were calling me dad, Oh yeah, they called it. No, he was talking about Europe. Yeah, he said they called me daddy. Kimmel's like, no, no, you can't hear. They were calling you fatty. Yo, he lit one zing after another on like,
Starting point is 00:17:31 and then they break down his, they call it present dementia and they just show him flubbing. Yo, Kimmel doesn't care. He wants more smoke. He's ready for it. I was more impressed. Yo, I'm shouting out to people who, one of my favorite things on social, too,
Starting point is 00:17:47 and with the haters is A, they don't know what's going on. So they don't know all the different endeavors we have going on. B, someone goes, this is where you ended up. I've been sitting in this seat at this, at this for years. They're saying this is where I ended up. But I think they mean TikTok live. I think that's what they mean. Oh, here I go.
Starting point is 00:18:08 I got Rosenberg sucks ditty. I got, I got Carton owns you. Okay. Okay. Then we have user one, two, three, four, five. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 21, 36. Z, 4.7, who says, one minute in, and I'm already hearing about Trump.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Oh, my God, give it a rest. You don't even have a name. You're not a real person. You don't even have a picture. Yeah. I mean, all right. All right, end it. Because, you know, I think it's official.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I think either was it today or yesterday when TikTok is now officially owned by Oracle? Yeah, the Ellison family has now taken over your TikTok. So if you're still on TikTok, you must know that Zionist, Trump enthusiast, right-wing psychopaths now control all the algorithm, your data and everything on TikTok. Perfect. It's going to change. It always does, bro. And let's never forget, all of this, China is getting our data, you know, this is a national security risk, TikTok, blah, blah, blah, blah. was just so your data and your behavior on TikTok
Starting point is 00:19:22 could get moved into an American corporation that also owns Paramount, right? That also owns a lot of the federal infrastructure for data management so that they could bundle all this behavior together and study the population or monitor the population either or and wouldn't have to go through China. meanwhile simultaneously all of this data all of this usage all of your behavior is sold to the highest bidder aka advertiser
Starting point is 00:19:55 around the world anyway so they have access to the data anyway they just wanted to take TikTok and give it to an American corporation one of Trump's buddies that's really what this is all about let's be specific Trump's buddy and donor absolutely also let's not leave out the fact that you know Trump saw the stock market, it seems, plunge and itched up on the tough talk and very clearly stated in that speech yesterday, we will not show force in Greenland. We will not. And there's a reason he worded it because at first he almost fumbled his way through it and then was like, we won't. It was like someone told him, you have to make it official that the United States is not going to do something that stupid.
Starting point is 00:20:45 So the market can rebound. You think it was market related? I'm not smart enough to know these things. That is what Al Gore said and that is what other people were saying. I go with Al Gore-Rhythm. I mean, listen, he invented the Internet, so I'll go with it. Facts. That is the belief people have because, like, it didn't come from any other sort of, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:06 a worldview or understanding, but that because it hit the market so badly, they were like, oh, you've got to back off and say this isn't happening. But now. And also the fact that, you know, yesterday we reported here, Canada, Europe, the European Union are all basically like, yeah, no, we need to get our military together and get our independence together separate from the United States. We need to have our own relationships around the world. These psychos can't be trusted. Hit the button. To no surprise.
Starting point is 00:21:39 It's a disaster. Congratulations. You plagiarcing NATO. And also destabilizing NATO, just so we're clear, is what Vladimir Putin wants. Of course. That's helping Russia. Do you know that Denmark lost, you already heard this line, that Denmark lost more people than anyone per capita after 9-11 in stepping into defend the United States and fight for NATO? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:11 That's one of the reasons they take this all, the whole Greenland thing so per se. personally. It's like they literally were like we gave lives recently. Like in 20 in 2001 we volunteered like those are our people we want to fight next to you. And but you know Trump has itched up and now when they asked him about the deal in place and are we going to own green list up here. You probably can't but he's like he's like we have a great deal in place sounds like he's got something else going on. And while and while he does have other things going on. It's not what I'm trying to say. But when he was asked about it, you know, so does the deal in place include the United States having control of Greenland?
Starting point is 00:22:50 He's like, it's a very long-term deal. It's a long deal. It's a great deal. Like, it didn't happen. You said, you did, what's the line again, Ebro? Trump always chickens out. It's Taka again. You said you were going to do it.
Starting point is 00:23:03 You said, you said we were going to have Greenland. You already backed out. Taco. Taco? Taco. Oh, out. Oh. Taco.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Trump always chickens out. Chikens out. Taco. Well, speaking of MAGA and things falling apart, do you have the divorce? This is kind of a long clip, so kickback. I want to give props to the creator who put it together, but I don't have it. Is it a good clip? Is it worth it? I know.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Did you guys watch it? Most people know American Express for our iconic personal cards. Some know us for our business cards to help entrepreneurs grow. But American Express also offers something built for companies at scale, the American Express corporate program. With a corporate program, you can apply for employee cards tailored to their needs, issue virtual cards to your team and suppliers, and even automate accounts payable with American Express 1AP. Along the way, your company can earn rewards or cash back as a statement credit to reinvest where it matters most. And because it's all backed by American Express,
Starting point is 00:24:04 you get the service, insights, and flexibility to help keep your business moving forward. The American Express Corporate Program, designed to help companies grow, with confidence. Terms apply. Enrollment required and fees may apply, including an auto-renewing monthly platform access fee. Suppliers must be enrolled and located in the United States. I don't know which one. I sent it to you guys last night. It's about divorce. Okay. About divorce relative to white folks in America and MAGA right now. Okay. Just watch. I'm interested. And the history of kind of like the family in the United States.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Okay. Run the clip. All right, racists. Thousands of women just in Minnesota saying the same thing. I am prepping for a divorce. 24 hours later. Since I made that video talking about all of the divorces happening in Minnesota,
Starting point is 00:25:06 I recognize that it's not just Minnesota. It is nationwide. Let's talk about the spiritual bill payment that has finally come due. For generations, the white American household has presented itself as immune, to dysfunction, which is a false standard that the racist weaponized against the true family architects, which are the copper-colored indigenous Americans, who have had to live for generations with wars on their households. For instance, this country manufactured welfare acceptance, and the removal of
Starting point is 00:25:33 the head of household in order to receive government assistance, when white families didn't have to adhere to the same rules. So when racists make jokes like, good thing my daughter doesn't want a black man, so she doesn't have to be a single mom, you're making fun of the fact that you racist fools built an entire identity on the myth of the black American dysfunctional family. Well, the chickens have come home to roost, and the white family is toast. The chaos in Minnesota is the key to the unraveling all around you. White women are looking at their husbands, their partners, the supposed protectors, and they're saying, hello, are you seeing this? Are you going to do anything? And the response from the
Starting point is 00:26:07 white man is a deafening, cowardly plea to stop watching social media, or worse, silence. They are too scared to actually get upset about it. They are refusing to protect their women and children because at their core, they're terrified. They are paralyzed by the very monster they helped create. This whole thing is carmic retribution. So what will you do, white men? Now that the cat is out of the bag and you're all just a bunch of kittens. And your ex-wives, see it. They are sick of the beta half men. Wannabies who cosplay toughness online, but crumble when real danger appears at their doorstep. Currently, 42% of women are divorcing maga men, which I find to be very revolutionary and brave. And I 100% support these women. High numbers of divorce is the realization that the men in their lives are not only inferior, but are a liability.
Starting point is 00:26:55 42% was the number that jumped out to me. I don't know how that data has been collected, but I'm sure these women are speaking up and speaking out in this time. And I thought that was just an interesting thing. Obviously, there's a historical significance, which is one conversation. But the current state of affairs, I wanted people in the chat because we've had people right in. Didn't we have a guru the other day? from someone who was talking about her husband or was it her friends? Her friends. It was her friends.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Her friend. Oh, no. Someone left a comment on a post about her husband running out of the room every time we came on because he's... Oh, no, me talking about Israel. You talking about Israel. That's right. It made him run out of the room. Run out of the room.
Starting point is 00:27:44 This just makes me think about the post that I've seen. Now, I haven't read Project 2025. I'm not going to say, until you, I read the entire thing, right? But there's the big push going on to make it harder to divorce. Yeah. They really don't want women to be able to make that choice.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Well, you know, up until the 1980s in the United States, it was hard for women to get a divorce. You know why? Because they couldn't get a goddamn bank account. Yep. They couldn't rent places on their own. Or buy. Buy home.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Or buy. And this is not all over the United States, but in many states. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So it just recently in the last, you know, 40 years, 45 years became easy for women to choose whether or not they want to be with someone. Now, do you guys think this Maga divorce thing or easy to leave? Is it, you guys think this Maga divorce thing is real? It could be. I don't know if I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I don't know about those numbers. but I would certainly believe it. You know what I mean? Because I do generally feel, if you look at it, men are generally, respectfully, worse than women. From a moral ethical standpoint, if we break it down, men are often at the core of the bad decisions that happen in a family. So is it possible that there are a lot of women who have gone along for a while and quietly been like, well, that's just my husband? And are now looking up and going, all right, this is out of control. Yeah, 42% feels like a high number.
Starting point is 00:29:14 But I don't know where my man got that from. Again, back to our constant conversation about where we get news from. But it's an interesting thought. And it wouldn't shock me to see that those numbers are going up. Well, can you email us Ebro Laura Rosenberg at Gmail or the original gurus at Gmail? I thought this might be a catalyst. Love that. For some emails where people are actually dealing with this.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Because we know it exists. we know it exists in people's families where they're just like, yo, I am not rocking with my family right now because they are way off the rails, you know, praying to the orange God. And then you have just women who have kind of
Starting point is 00:29:55 looked past their husband's behavior as that's just what men do and that's just what men are like and starting to realize like, nah, this ain't good with me. I don't want to live this life. And I don't want to lay next to this person. And I don't want my children would think this behavior is okay either.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Now, I do think there's also something to be said. Natalie and I talk about this a lot. And this could be a controversial topic. That in America, a lot of times women, whether they want to or not, not always, I'm not remotely saying always, but very often women can end up being shape shifting somewhat to what their husbands are like. Like Natalie was saying this in a problematic way. She was speaking honestly about herself.
Starting point is 00:30:37 I look in my history and see how I've been affected by the partners I've been with. I mean, and by the way, if you're looking for the proof in the pudding, just look for the times and you see her Instagram stories go complete liberal screaming at the world. Like, you know, she has been impacted. She was never like that before she was what you was what you're saying. I'd say the belief system was that was in there, but would she be publicly, you know, would it be something that really affects her? Well, I know for one thing. She wasn't going to be at multiple WWE events a year.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Okay. But she did like WWE. That is a big... Yeah, but she wasn't going to be at the event. No, no. She had grown out of it and I brought her back. Is what you're saying. So it is interesting though,
Starting point is 00:31:14 because she was saying that sort of, with a level of remorse. Like, it's kind of messed up. She was like, in America, it seems like a lot of us women end up sort of taking on the personality of the men that were with a lot. It happens a lot.
Starting point is 00:31:28 And if you believe that that is even the possibility of being a thing, it probably also happens a lot in these mega households. No, absolutely. I was talking to one of my girlfriends and she says she has a group of friends that happened to be like from her man's side, right? All of them are conservative because their men are conservative. Right. Not just conservative. They're maga because their men are maga. And what she asked, like, do you honestly believe in all this? And they're just kind of like, they rather, some of them rather not have their own views. They go along to get along, man. They just go along and get along.
Starting point is 00:32:05 They asked them in the house, so they're just going to go along with it. Well, hit them all with the button. It's sad. You're playing yourself. Yeah. You're going to look up one day. You plagued yourself. And you're going to be looking at yourself in the mirror and you wasted your life being
Starting point is 00:32:18 somebody that you weren't true and not being true to yourself. And the way these cycles are moving, they want they want one vote per household. Have you heard that one? I've heard that. Head of the house. I wonder why. The only ones that should be voting. Wonder why they feel that way.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Well, this is also why this. people of this ilk never wanted women to vote in general. Of course. Yeah, because it could go this way. Literally, it could go left. Although I will say, guys, I find in general, this is going to be also slightly controversial. I don't know if you guys had this experience.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Sometimes, like, another thing me and my wife were talking about, you ever find, like, I'll find women in my life who, like, you meet their man and you just, like, oh, man, you just ended up with a guy. It's just a guy. Oh, he's just, yeah, he's just, He's just a, he's a, he's a, he's a, skin and bones. Yeah, like, I was, he has no personality at all.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I was talking to my old, he's just got a skin suit on. He's just standing there, sucking in oxygen. And, and the women, and the women. And the women are, like, lively and have personality and lots of thoughts, and they still look good, and they're doing their thing. And, like, their husband just, like, women are out here just settling, is what I'm saying. Women are out here. Well, no, some of that also, no, no, but some of that also is that particular
Starting point is 00:33:33 person you're describing that woman and that man they work together because she is so dominant right if if that man also had his own that woman may not be able to what that woman needs to be the center of attention she needs to be the star the spotlight is on her she needs to drive the ideas she needs to you know i'm not i'm not saying that you're wrong i bro because that's also a certain character yes i also agree with rosenberg there's yo i know a lot of women who are just like who are executives and they're like yo I just want a decent human being who has a job and is respectful. Oh for sure but is that settling? It's just a low bar for men because they don't have many options that's how I see it. Okay we just want someone who's not going to be mean or abusive or
Starting point is 00:34:19 dangerous. Listen you got to listen you got a job you got to buy what's on the shelf you got a man yeah, you got a buy what's on the shelf you got yeah you walk into the store and you're shopping you look around, you need to co-home with something, and you know, you get the best that you can get. Oh, and there is one other piece to remember about that. I think this is important. Men who are more exciting and more charming and more like who got more options. That comes with risk.
Starting point is 00:34:48 That purchase comes with risk. Now, did they, are they divorced? If so, win, because maybe they've already, maybe they already learned. And you're getting them, you're getting the refurb. It's the rare situation where the refurb is better sometimes than out of the package. You might want the refurb. That's right. But to Ebro's point, sometimes it's a refurb and they didn't actually do the repair.
Starting point is 00:35:15 They just rubbed a little dirt on it, put it back in the package, ran it back out. That happens too. Anyway, really quickly, I just want to give a birthday shout out to some of our thoughts in the chat. Erica B 6471 and Queen Medina. Happy birthday guys. Happy birthday to the Fots. Now, merch manager Laura Stav. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Today is Thursday. Yes, sir. Are we landing the shipment of the merch today? So remember, shipping is tomorrow. So I'm going actually to be. I remember here in Thursday. I'm going to the headquarters today to just, you know, make sure that things are moving smoothly.
Starting point is 00:35:55 But no, shipping is Friday. And then it'll take another week for people to get their t-shirts. About, you know, depending on where they live. Some people might get it sooner than others, just because depending on where they live. But, yeah, I'm excited for everybody to get their stuff. When do we unveil new merch for people who miss this one? It's up to y'all. This one is done.
Starting point is 00:36:15 You're not going to get another one of this one. That's it. Limited a dish. And all of them, the next one is also going to be limited. I'm just letting you know. We're doing another limited one next. Yes. So if you miss it, you miss it.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Well, we also, listen, let's just be honest. We don't know how much money people have. You know, we're already asking for $9.99 on Patreon. You know what I mean? Then we're going to sell you a t-shirt. Like, at a certain point, we've got to paste this so that people can, you know what I mean, get a little money to support the program. We can't just be running through people's pockets.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Right. And on top of that, we got to manage our budgets as well, which means we can't just buy a bunch of blank t-shirts and have them sitting somewhere. And we don't even own a goddamn warehouse, and they're just sitting in a box. and Laura's man's closet with his sneakers and we're waiting to like figure out the next time people want t-shirt. And while we're at it, while we're mentioning this, I do want to give another shout out to Chase who came up with our initial design, our initial logo.
Starting point is 00:37:10 He made the, like Chase didn't know, Chase helps me out with a lot of stuff. He didn't know anything. I hit him up on a Friday. I'm like, hey, we're not a hot 97. Can you throw some ish together real quick? And he basically gave us what has been our initial aesthetic. And we just want to shout him out for being quick. Showing love. He's a good man. Now, before we move further into the program, we got to get to the rundown. It's time for Laura Stavs. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:37:35 And the run down. Oh, man. And Griff sent me the one with the new, with the beat on it. And I don't have it in here yet. Come on. Brow. Give me my end show. A rib-ed-d-do.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Laura got the rundown, turned that up. Screen's on glow when she pulled up. Headlines heavy, but we still caught up. Life still flashing. We don't slow up Can I ask you a question that real quick, Laura, before you start the rundown? What?
Starting point is 00:38:02 And can I ask maybe a poll in the in the room? Okay. Do we like this intro? Is it too radio? Like, are we still trying to do radio too much with this intro? What's our honest feeling? All right.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I like it, but I would love a poll. Let's do it. Ebro, where are you out with it? He's going to set it up. I like it. I don't know. I like it, but I could also go the other way. And I also think asking the audience
Starting point is 00:38:25 what you just asked them. I don't even know if they're, maybe they're savvy enough to know the difference. Oh, how dare you, sir? Well, no, in the context of like,
Starting point is 00:38:34 do they, it's just, do you like it or not? You know what I'm saying? Like, is it good or not in their minds? Not like, I don't know if they,
Starting point is 00:38:41 but like it could be as simple. Once we get our, we got our initial voice work back, once we produce with some of just the basic drops we have, it could just be like, it's the run now, Laura Stiles, and we hit a bed and you can't talk about,
Starting point is 00:38:52 they don't know what voice work is either. Do they know what voice work is? Is that a known thing? I'm seriously asking. I'm not trying to be condescending. I don't know what people know. I don't know what people care about. I really don't.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Once we have the things that just go, it's Laura Stiles with the rundown. It could just be that and a beat. It doesn't have to be the rap song, is what I'm saying. Right, right, right, right. Anyway, sorry, Laura. What do you have a run down? Let's focus.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Okay, we're going to go through some light stuff first before we get into the juicy. The Vince Staples show has been canceled, guys. Oh, man. Damn. After two seasons. It premiered in 2024, second season
Starting point is 00:39:28 dropped November 2025. I did say, I did read that the viewership wasn't as great. I gotta be honest. Sometimes I would go in. I could never really stick with it, guys. Season two was a little bit more obscure than season one, I think. Which was
Starting point is 00:39:46 already obscure. Which was already obscure. But I like season two artistic for myself. I liked it. I enjoyed it. I didn't finish it. I'm being honest. So like that's probably telling. I think it's really good. I think he is amazing. I think Vince is going to have a great run in entertainment
Starting point is 00:40:04 and in all the things that he does. And it's a bummer that this happened. I can't say I'm shocked because Ebro mentioned. It was irreverent. It was weird. You know, Atlanta-esque in that way, but didn't keep the full storyline necessarily. Which is, you know, when you try
Starting point is 00:40:24 something avant-garde like that. You were taking a risk. But I just want to shout him out because getting to that point where he got two seasons of a Netflix show is such an incredible accomplishment. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Guys, I've been working on something that I may have news on soonish for you that is not near at that step.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Yo, when I tell you, creating, I'm not talking about respectfully, I'm not talking about pitching a documentary, creating a dramatic television show and not a scripted show and getting it to air is an unbelievable hall. So the fact that they came up with that show and made it all the way there and did two seasons is an incredible accomplishment. He should be super proud of. And I want to see more of him.
Starting point is 00:41:16 You're definitely going to see more events. There's a way not to. Did you guys catch the interview with him in Zeeway? Oh, one of my favorites. I posted the whole thing. I love it. It was like it happened on the Ebro Laura Rosenberg show. I posted the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:41:29 I gave contacts. It was amazing. Yeah, I watched a good chunk of it. It was hilarious. All right. And it should be noted that the type of hilarity that happened in that interview and the types of jokes that Vince made, right? You know, don't always land for the mainstream.
Starting point is 00:41:48 And the thing about Vince's show on Netflix, Had they really honed in on the target? Remember, is adult swim still around? I think it's still around. And Cartoon Network. Yeah, yeah. Like, Rick and Morty's still ringing off? Yeah, Rick and Morty, that's right, it is.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Um, that, I know they don't air stuff like that. They're animated, they're more of that. But like, remember loiter squad, Tyler's loiter squad, which was just him and his boys doing slapsticky? Like, that's all, it's alternative comedic humor. And then when you're black doing alternative. comedic humor. It's even more niche, right? Because I was going to say that. There's not like a lot of
Starting point is 00:42:28 a lot of black comedians that are doing that. They're not your mainstream comedians. And it might this might be a business opportunity for me. I just, it just clicked in my head. They need a space. There needs to be a space where people who get different types of humor who are not white can gather and do their humor. It's a, it's a really good point. And I know there are spaces like that in in LA. Like I know there are places for people. I know there's clubs, but like video.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Yeah, so people to consume it. Skits, stand up like a real place. Because you're right, Ebro, the level of like niche nerd humor. You're now going double niche when it's black. Right. So it. Like for instance, what black comedian would have got away with how many seasons of curb your enthusiasm? Oh God. How many seasons?
Starting point is 00:43:17 Well, curve. I don't know if I, I don't know if I like the comp just I don't know how many people are getting away with doing. that much period of anything. You know what I'm saying? Right. Larry David's special, but I'm just saying that type of... But I wasn't to go another place. There's that dude who now has the chair...
Starting point is 00:43:33 What's the show called? The Chair Factory? Or whatever that show's called that's popping off right now on Netflix. And I'm forgetting Homeboy's name. And you see the look Laura's giving me because she'll have no idea who he is. And it is big among white people. And like an alt, very weird alt comedy crowd. It's called The Chair? I'm going to look it up.
Starting point is 00:43:51 The Chair Factory. Is it the chair factory? But Laura, it's a very weird form of humor and it's either going to be for you or not. You know what I mean? Okay. Okay. All right. All right. Next is the forbidden clip.
Starting point is 00:44:05 No, I'm just kidding. I know we play a clip of ASAP Rocky and Ibril's interview yesterday. It was just ASAP Rocky on Apple Music, okay? Just ASAP Rocky. Sorry, Tim Robinson is the is the comedian and writer I'm talking about. Look him up, guys. But yes, would be hard to pull that off at this point and pull multiple seasons as a black talent.
Starting point is 00:44:26 I think it would be really tough. Okay. So Ebro and Aesap Rocky sat down for an interview right now. It's available on Apple Music. But check this out. He is opening up about Drake. I think hip-hop tactics and beefs is like WWF. It's like wrestling all the way, right?
Starting point is 00:44:44 But this thing between us, it's not real smoke, but I just don't f*** with him. Right. You know what I mean? We was once friends. I feel like it's over females. I feel like he wasn't happy, and he expressed that. And I think at some certain point when everybody getting older, and it's just like you're supposed to be moving on,
Starting point is 00:45:05 for you to still be picking out of female and all that. That's soft to me. You know what I'm saying? And I didn't put out an hour of mind, put out music for me to really say something back, you know, and I finally did say something back to a few people. You know, not just, it ain't just about one person. I'm talking to whoever, whoever feel like I'm talking to him, you know? And I do think that petty.
Starting point is 00:45:28 And we all, like I said, it's enough money. It's enough women. It's enough fame spotlights to go around. You know what I mean? We're not really tripping off nothing. But is it real smoke? It can never be. They're not, that ain't smoke.
Starting point is 00:45:45 I feel it's pretty direct. And he says he feels like it was over females. And it definitely, it's weird, man. Drake fans, y'all weird, man. It's real weird, man. Weird. I mean, yes, but keep going. Well, because I saw people saying like, oh, Rocky's just talking about Drake to sell his album.
Starting point is 00:46:04 And I was like, well, wasn't Drake talking about and his wife? Like, didn't that happen? We didn't see that happen? No, no. It 100% happened. These people are weird, bro. The line's funny. On Patreon, on Patreon, we, oh, and I was told there was an issue we had with Patreon.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Oh, man, hit the button. No, it's it, there's an issue. We was either ready or we wasn't ready. Well. Congratulations, you plagued yourself. Because we ran it through YouTube, the fact, we played a lot of music on it. And even though it was unlisted on YouTube, YouTube still came for the video. So now we have to re-upload it, not on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:46:50 So just hang tight for one second. It'll go up in a minute. Oh, fail. This is not what people paying for. This is some real... No, this is honestly, I can I tell you the truth? It literally happened to me last night. I did a live on my... I did a live on my wrestling Patreon.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Thought I could just watch a random episode of AEW live while I was doing it. It knocked it off. I was like, oh, YouTube's still YouTubeing. I thought we were a private. No, YouTube is YouTube. And they're even more focused now. So we're going to get it up. It'll still be up on Patreon shortly.
Starting point is 00:47:19 It just won't be as a YouTube video. But when we played the Rocky... clip yesterday because we played some music and had some fun. It was interesting to hear him say the line repeatedly in that record. I stole your shit. It's like hilarious because like, and respectfully Rihanna, she's your shit. You know what I'm saying? Well,
Starting point is 00:47:38 but by the way, we don't even know if that's the one he's talking about. Because Rocky said we don't know. Right? He did say girls. He said females. He said females. Yeah, female. He didn't say stole your female. And. And to that matter, what you guys said on Patreon yesterday with regard to Rihanna, never visibly being that into Drake in the first place, was it ever even his?
Starting point is 00:48:05 Yeah. Quote unquote. Or was it all just a work for us? Speaking of work, work, work, work, was it just a work? Wow. I see what you did. Was it a work work work? Work work.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Double-a-work-work-work-work-work-work. What? Oh, God. Oh, God. All right. So there's that. But let's get into the lowdown because you guys are going to... Oh, the mess.
Starting point is 00:48:26 You guys are going to like this one. Come on Rosenberg. Let's go low. Laura, I'm just, I'm told that also the Oscar nominations just dropped. Okay, well, we'll deal with that in a minute. Right now, we're doing the lowdown. We're on the ball. She wants to wallow in the mire.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Yes, because y'all are going to love this one. All right. Let's get into it then. It better be good. Yo, where's Hot Rod Rick's intro for the lowdown, Rosenberg, you slipping over there. Oh yeah. Do we agree we wanted to use the hotline?
Starting point is 00:48:55 Why not? Give him a run. I didn't hear Laura's confirmation. It's just me the devil. Satan shut up for a second. I mean, yeah, if you got it, roll it. I don't. Okay. It's time for the lowdown.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Guys, as the ice storm threatens the power grid in Texas. Okay. Senator Ted Cruz was caught on a plane. headed to California. Laura, this ain't the lowdown. This is not, like this ain't even that. No. I'm hit Laura with the button.
Starting point is 00:49:29 No, no. Laura's getting the button. This ain't scummy. Congratulations. He is scummy, but this ain't like some real ratchet. This ain't like, I thought you was taking us to some ratchetry. No. I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:49:43 Well, I think this is ratchet. He's ratchet for leaving his people. Well, they're about to get hit with the biggest. Ice Storm. I thought y'all, I thought you was about to leak some sex tapes. Yeah. That's what I expected. Not Ted Cruz. Yo, guys, guys, come on, man. Laura, I tried to hit you. You don't want to listen to me in the run, down. Nominated for an Oscar. Tiana Taylor for Best Supporting Actress. Pal, Oscar nominated.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Tiana! Yo, how about that? Oh, my gosh. What an amazing here for Tiana. I'm so happy for her, man. That is crazy. We just took the largest dump on your whole lowdown and then Rosenberg just snatched it back.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Oh, I don't mind. We're celebrating Tiana. I don't care. Sinners, best picture. I'm fine with that. Senors' best picture. Sinners best original score. Good, good, good, good, good.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Let's go. Cougler. All right. We'll talk about the whole thing. Can I just hit this real quick? Sorry, best picture, Bagonia F1. See, this is what I was talking about the other day. Remember what I said the other day?
Starting point is 00:50:54 About how they're too loose in these Oscars. Is F1 really a-1? Best picture, it's best-it's best-picture vibes? I don't know. It feels like a big-ass budget fun movie. Best picture feels nuts to me. But Bagonia F-1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, one battle after another,
Starting point is 00:51:14 the secret agent, sentimental value. I don't know what that is. Sinners and train dreams. I don't know train dreams either. I happen to know train dreams because my old neighbor was a producer of that film. But it's a movie about trains, Native Americans.
Starting point is 00:51:34 It looks very best picturesy slow. Elroy Lindo, best supporting actor. Shout to the OG. Tell Roy Lindo. Who else was in Best Actor, Ebro? Are you just naming black people as you see them? No, I was just seeing Griff send us notes on it.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Griff, who else is in best, who else is in best actor? I would just be curious if the rock got it because I just watched. I think he said not named yet. Not named yet. But Ibro just said, no, that's supporting. Best supporting. And sinners for. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Sorry. You know that, that, wait, let's see. Oscar's best actor contenders. Okay, but that's not nominators. Those are contenders. people are expecting Timothy shallomay Leonardo DiCaprio Michael B. Jordan. Well, that would be curious to see if the Michael B. Jordan thing
Starting point is 00:52:26 because that was such a big conversation about him being snubbed at the Golden Globes. Got it. Oh, Coogler got the best director. Cougler, best director. Yo, fam, are we really processing how big this center's thing is for Couglar and just black film? Are we really understanding the significance here?
Starting point is 00:52:45 of him owning the IP, like all of that talk that is like, remember all that talk about the way this center thing happened for Coogler? Yeah. It was very like, it just doesn't happen for directors. Yeah, no, it was a, it was a completely unusual deal. A, it doesn't happen for directors full stop often. And B, it doesn't happen for black directors like ever. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Now, Coogler's the man, bro. I mean, listen, I can't say I'm shocked by this. The path he's been on has been pretty crazy. It adds up. It adds up. But still, when you see it. Best actress Jesse Buckley Hamnet Rose Byrne
Starting point is 00:53:19 Let's see I don't know Renate whoever that is Kate Hudson Emma Stone Emma Stone was awesome Wait you saw begonia Yeah I told you already
Starting point is 00:53:34 I told you all about it instead you would love it Man you know how frustrating is to tell someone about a movie Nah listen I got so much space in my brain Then why tell you again you're not going to remember It's heard again. You're not going to even care. It's about... My white people's stuff, hard drive is full off, and I have to...
Starting point is 00:53:53 It's... Bagonia is about the two crazy people who decide that this CEO is actually an alien and they kidnap her. Oh, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Great. Can't wait to tell you the next time. It's a comedy, though. No, I wouldn't say it's a comedy.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Maybe a very dark comedy. Got it. All right. You ready for the original gurus? That was for you. Well, that was so. Failed lowdown and your amazing run down. You mean that was your rundown?
Starting point is 00:54:21 Ebro running down. The stolen rundown was a mage. You guys ready for the lowdown? You squashed the whole lowdown. No, you squashed the row down. You squashed the lowdown. And then we got stormed with the Oscar stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Speaking of storm, Ted Cruz is on his way out of the storm. Yo. What a loser. No, that is. A loser. By the way. Again. Yes, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:46 That's why I think he should be dragged to hell. Yo, he's such a loser. But you know what? So are the people that vote for him. So are the people who vote for him. So crazy. I just can't believe that's actually real. I can't.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Like, you really thought that was a good idea? I just can't believe that. I mean, I do, but good Lord. All right. Ethan Hawke, Salomey, DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Wagner, Best Actor. There you go.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Come on. But I still feel Michael B. Jordan is more deserving of best actor than Cinners is deserving of best picture. That's fair enough. I mean, you can go with that. I like Cinners, but I loved Michael B. Jordan. Like, he legitimately plays two different twins as different people. Like, to me, that was amazing. I thought Cinners was really cool.
Starting point is 00:55:37 I didn't think it was amazing. But I thought Michael B. Jordan was amazing. Yeah, the amazing part for me with Cinners was how much. much the business part culture well no the black culture and the and the and the and the and the Asian family down in Mississippi and the blues and the and the and the and the tying of Irish Irish culture and and and blue together which is the formations of what we know now to be country music which was you know Irish clog dancing and tap music like all of the cultural intersection well that was that was I love that part of it that was what we talked about the time
Starting point is 00:56:12 that sort of I ended up being disappointed by the way I curse my mouth by the way I curse a lot, dude. That was what sort of disappointed me with the film is the first 45 minutes, the setup, I was so into the setup of like the background, I was learning so much. So like the cultural part, I really loved. And then, yeah, when we got to the vampire
Starting point is 00:56:28 part, I was like, and Ebro did say this probably before I even saw it, which may have affected me, I was just like, I don't know that I needed the vampire movie here. I felt like I was just going to go into this sort of interesting, cultural black. But they're bloodsuckers. They're vampires. And then the
Starting point is 00:56:44 killing scene at the end. I was just like, what are we? What is going on? We just had a blood bath for no reason. That was for a reason. Killed him racist. Yeah, I know, I know, but it's just, you know, blow their, blow there up, take them, blow him to oblivion. But anyway, see, bro-law Rosenberg show. We got to get to the original gurus, ladies and gentlemen. We take your emails at the original gurus.com, or excuse me, the original gurus at gmail.com. Rosenberg, pay attention. Get the elements together for the guru. Let's get to it. Then breathe out. The original gurus,
Starting point is 00:57:18 the original gurus at gmail.com. The original gurus at gmail.com. That's where you email us. Rosenberg, who's out there? Who needs us? So many are in need, Laura, and they send us their emails at the original gurus at gmail.com.
Starting point is 00:57:37 And also, I should remind everyone, it's a great day to send your voice notes and emails to us for Freedom Friday as well. Of course, as that is coming up tomorrow. Ebro Laura Rosenberg at gmail.com. Friday Freedom. Friday Freedom, that's right. Hello, Ibrahim, Laura Rosenberg, the OG gurus.
Starting point is 00:57:54 I'm in a relationship with a woman who has two daughters, ages 10 and 12. We've been together for about a year. I'm not their father, but I am a father myself, and I know how much a man's presence can shape a child for better or worse. My question is simple but heavy. How do I show up as a steady, positive male figure in their lives without overstepping or forcing a role that isn't mine. That isn't mine.
Starting point is 00:58:18 I want to model, respect, consistency, and healthy love, especially at an age where they're forming ideas about men and relationships. I don't want to be distant and don't want to pretend I'm dad. I want to move with care, intention, and humility. What should someone in my position get right and what mistake should I avoid if my goal is to protect the kids, support their mother, and still honor my role as a father to my own children? relationship talk of jays p.S please bring back the blood and the water design it would look dope
Starting point is 00:58:50 as a cruneck it is a crue neck a friend of the show crew neck sweatshirt oh sweatshirt sorry got it friend of the show andrew blood and water i think we'll come back it just probably won't come back with the same color scheme or same color tea or same logos it'll have some here we are blood in the water exactly because blood is in the water some people want it sangrenel They want the Spanish version. We're going to do that for Latin Heritage Month. I feel like, I feel like while I 100% appreciate the sentiment of this message, to me, it sounds like from how you care and how you understand the situation,
Starting point is 00:59:33 you don't need to overthink this. That's exactly what I was going to say. You're overthinking it, bro. Just keep loving people. You sound like a good guy. Don't disrespect the day. you know be supportive all like especially depending on like one thing I note that I love about my friends who are in stepdad situations assuming the relationship between the the mother of the child
Starting point is 00:59:55 and the father is at least you know I'm not even talking about if it's something that's psycho bad and he didn't mention that so I'm going to assume that's not the case but assuming it's somewhere between not great and pretty good continue to play a role where you're you always help make things smoother, not the opposite. You know what I mean? You're not fueling into them having any issues, into anything around that could be a positive force in all of it. People getting along, the kids being in a good spot, and just be there as their friend at this age. They're 10 and 12. They're not two and four. Right. Right. So they already are forming their ideas of what things are. You will model just by being you and being a dude. And if there's certain things that is special or that the
Starting point is 01:00:42 biological father cares about. Always make sure you honor that, too. You know what I mean? Certain things that are like when you're like, hmm, I don't know if I should be doing this, whether I'm just making this up, a first basketball game or whatever, special moments like that.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Talk to your partner and say, hey, I know they have a thing with basketball. They never been to a basketball game. Should I be the first one to take them to a basketball game? Maybe you should check with dad, because I could be dad's special moment, but I just think he should keep that in consideration. Great call.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Did he say that he had a good, relationship with this uh did these kids that no didn't didn't mention it at all didn't mention it well should we assume that he does i think we should assume there's no major thing one way or the other he would have included it because if there isn't what no thing major one way or the other then you should try to to laura's point understand the things that are important to that dad in this transition and moving forward so that you could try to help reinforce those things with the kids right Right, right, right. Especially if the mom is aligned on those things as well.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Yeah. You sound like a great guy. Yeah. You sound like a great guy. What a good heart. Just don't overthink it. So say the gurus. Man.
