And then there was definitely some interesting commentators in our comments. I don't know if you saw. I saw, but why do people make it seem like it's like it was coming after Jay Z?

I just mean. That's all I'm saying. I know people are going to get in their feelings. By the matter of fact, if you were paying attention, I said I know why people are upset getting my dancing. Oh, yeah, true. It's because in the clip, we said he was doing a dance, but you're not listening. Well, there were so many layers to doing the dance there.

I got confused. And I was looking up the comments because I really hadn't seen. I get a little bit frustrated. and we talked about this yesterday, the day before, whatever it was, with the inability to be able to have a conversation about anyone that's not 100% ick-sucking, it's like, yo, why, you got to come for him? Well, so, no, but see, see, here's the other part.

This was the, the funniest part. Then people that I know, and in the comments, a couple of people, they were like, yo, y'all just clout chasing. And I was like, yes, we're algorithm hustling. We're having a conversation about, the greatest rapper of all time and the maneuvers he had to make. Some of them didn't land so good and in retrospect didn't look good, right? Because he wanted to be the most dominant, biggest star ever in hip-hop.

He wanted to be the guy we call Ho. So yes. And oh, here's the other one. I had a private conversation about this one. Oh, my God. Tarnish. Why did you use the word tarnish? Oh, my.

I was like, I mean, well, he's gold, so I guess technically I can't. He's the gold standard, so I guess technically I can't say tarnish because gold doesn't charge. I can't. Listen, you know what? I'm, it's. This is one thing I will say. This is what I will say.

And I'm glad people love Jay-Z. That's what really landed for me. And I think also. But we love Jay-Z. I think they're also, though. We're haters, ma'am. I think the people that love Jay-Z are. also so used to the people who hate Jay-Z that when they see the convoy, they go,

oh, here we go, more people. Bro, if you're, if you, if, if I can't sit here and talk about Tom Brady, you know, not being able to scramble or like one of the things that made Tom Brady great is that he's the greatest of all time, but he's not really the best quarterback of all time, but he's the greatest of all time. If I can't have these conversations, so we just, so we just can't talk about him. He's the greatest. He's the greatest.

Which is why I'm being critical of certain things. Oh, I mean, you must be being anti-Semitic talking about Israel like that. I think I have a right to do that.

I think I could be critical of the government. How dare you? I bought Jay-Z. As I said in the clip, I bought Reasonable Doubt day one. I'm not allowed. I don't earn a pass from being there from the very beginning in 96. Because there aren't that many people who can analyze it over a period of the inside. You have to love him to be able to analyze.

probably was like thinking, you know, he's Jay-Z. Same thing everybody else is thinking. He's Jay-Z. Why would you publicly be critical of somebody who's so great that you love and that loves you back and that you're friends with. It's probably the combo of all. My wife does this a lot when I talk about something.

She'll be like, you know them. And I'm like, Nat, this is what the job is. Sometimes you say things and people won't like you for it. And if they're really that sensitive and can't, like, it's one thing to be mean. It's one thing to attack people and call them out the game. We were not mean. But by the way, we weren't mean. It didn't even cross my mind of being mean.

Like, although, you know, listen. Jay Z. Like I said, Jay Z will see things and Jay Z will pick up the phone and let you know how he feel. You just want to go back to the dancing music over and over again?

You sure that's what? Evidence suggests. This is the part that pisses people off. Because the dancing, that's offensive. That's what got me and Stephen A and I. It's just a light little shoulder, though. Yeah, but it's the idea that you're dancing,

almost like you're putting on a show for people. And the song. You're soft shoeing. But the truth of the matter is, We all softs you, man. We soft shoe at work. Yo, if you live in a building, you got a neighbor. You want to punch in the face.

And you hate the, The frustrating part is, though, within hip-hop, it really is that this has always been an annoying thing in hip-hop.

You really, you struggle to get into the fun conversations because people, as much as, you know, you wouldn't think they're like that, people are really sensitive. Well, and you can't even have nuanced combo. Especially with the internet, though. I think the internet is a special place. Yeah, it made it much worse. If you say you like oranges, what about apples? You know what I mean? It's always the thing.

No, no, about going through all these comments. the fact that you were like the fact that people can't recognize that there are jZ haters out there who suck who diminish the greatest or very close to the greatest of all time and then there are people

who love him and want to nerd out and have conversations about him and dissect what was the best and what wasn't and you can't even do that because y'all can't read or listen to things or have any sort of attention span you just got to get to the comment quick see if your comment can get likes like like what are y'all talking about i'm just looking at and seeing how many people nasty i don't even know if they nasty take nasty you guys don't know what nasty takes are we because we well i don't even know if people in that comment it was because they wanted to get their comment liked as you asserted no no you're right they're they're triggered emotional and they just jump right in but that's the world man

that scored points for you it means something one that's listen people feelings feelings are facts to people you know that right right yeah people confuse feelings and facts and since we're talking about art it's hard to really you know we're critiquing art so it's hard to really like land on a fact unless you're going to use chart that hating on j z was a sport now. Aiding on Jay-Z. I hate it. Yo, it breaks my heart.

If you're someone who truly enjoys an art form, you enjoy getting into all that stuff. Well, and also someone that took as many risks because he was great as Jay-Z.

Well, and someone who was just so big and, yeah, and was kind of had to keep trying to do stuff. But, like, y'all are going to, What to break barriers. To break barriers for hip hop, like to legitimately do new things for hip hop, risks had to be taken. I just put up a post the other day about how I came a long way about a volume one. I've grown.

The lawsuit filed is premature. And there may not even be a dispute between parties.

So if the accounting review determines that money is owed, then party will pay. And they said, Farrell has consistently acted in good faith. He has great respect for Chad and looks forward to resolving this in a way that honors their shared history. Oh, I'm glad they said that because even yesterday when we covered it, that's why I threw it, or what was that, two days ago, whatever it was. That's why I threw it to you, Rosenberg, about publishing lawsuits because I thought, you know, with your brother being in the legal field, you maybe had more insight to me. But like, these forensic accounting kind of like, quote-unquote lawsuits where people get their lawyers and their accountants to go through. through people's books from the past to shake the trees and find out if there's any money owed. That's super standard in the music business.

And so I didn't know, based on behind the scenes talk, I've never heard that Chad and Farrell are at personal odds. I've never heard that. I mean, I knew they weren't on the best terms. But wouldn't you imagine if you're Trump and you have no human feelings whatsoever? all you care about is how something looks. On Fox News, people are going, people are saying, this should never have happened. This is wrong. The NRA, mad Republicans are coming out. The private meeting with Christy Knoem was like this. I told you you could do whatever you wanted,

except make it look like you're doing whatever you wanted. You shot him in the back. 10 times. No, no, no, no. You didn't shoot him in the back. You murdered a white man who's an ICU nurse from a VA hospital who had a legal gun. And there's video of your agents taking the gun out of his waistband so he didn't have it before you shot him in the back. And a veteran.

they made a real mistake if they wanted to get to just keep killing people. Because this, this real, they did it so blatantly. No reasonable person should want these people here, and I am glad that they are gone. But Operation Metro Surge has expanded far beyond its stated focus on true public safety threats. United States citizens, particularly those of color, live in fear.

United States citizens are carrying papers to prove their citizenship. That's wrong. ISIS authorizes agents to raid homes using a civil warrant that need only be signed by a border patrol agent that's unconstitutional and it's wrong. Weaponizing criminal investigations against political opponents is unconstitutional, regardless of who is in power. Republicans and Democrats alike have engaged in this misconduct, and both must be held to the same standard. They need to do better. And I have read about and I have spoken to countless United States citizens who have been detained in Minnesota due to the color of their skin. I personally have spoken to several

law enforcement officers, some Hispanic and some Asian, who have been pulled over by ICE on pretextual stops. Driving while Hispanic is not a crime. Either is driving while Asian. At the end of the day, I have to look my daughters in the eye and tell them, I believe I did what was right. And I am doing that today. I will say, we live in a time where the standard is so low that to see someone who even identifies the Republican, saying racism is wrong is refreshing. I know. You're like, wow, he's not totally okay with racism.

He thinks they shouldn't do this, and he's actually stepping away from it. However, however, he's so blind, so blind that he didn't know that the plans to run around and grab millions of people and deport them was going to lead to this. This is where I can't all the way believe. Right. I know. It gets hard. This was talked about, and how come I knew that this was going to go this way? I know.

My friend's group of approximately eight couples are entering our 40s within the next year or two. The invites for 40th birthday parties are never ending. Damn, it's already started. Some events are small dinners up to Caribbean getaways. For one of the birthday events, I'm being asked to prepay 500 a couple for drinks and dinner. Another birthday event, a few weeks later, is a week-long Jamaica trip.

Wait, wait, wait, this is the same person having all these events? Being invited to you. Well, no, no, because remember, they're couples. So everybody's the same age. So everybody's kind of turning 40. I thought this was one person having multiple events. All right, all right. Okay, keep going.

Now, while I would love to celebrate with everyone, how do I politely decline these invites for the sake of my pockets as I am also planning my own 40th? I fear if I don't go to someone's beach getaway or expensive dinner, they wouldn't come to my birthday event. Please help me navigate all these birthday invites without going broke or losing friends. I have nothing to say about this. When I turned 40, my life had just exploded and I had dinner with me, my mom, my dad, and my brother. That was it. I got nothing for you, fam. I skipped it. I don't even know what it's like. When I turned 40, I gave birth. Four days later, I turned 40.

So I was all cut up for my C-section and paid. Good times. They're in the middle of a pandemic. So, yeah, that's what happened to me. Well, I don't think the person is asking what to do when you turn 40. I think the person is asking, is there a way to avoid going to all these other events and still getting people to come to mind? And the answer is no.

But I will say, asking somebody to go on a trip is a big ask. Big. A dinner is one thing. But a week-long getaway, that's a lot. I think that whenever people do destination, weddings or event, you're allowed to opt out. You're all to say, hey, I can't afford this. Why, right?

Work, can't afford it, all of it. Yeah. So I think the trip ones, you can, yes, work, you know, it's just too expensive. And maybe you just give them a gift on the side, but you definitely should reach out. Yeah. I think the trips you can opt out, the dinners might be a little harder.

Yeah, the dinner ones, you might hit your man. I'd be like, yo, 500, what are we doing, guys? Or you know what you do? Well, and then the question is how well do you even know these? I mean, are they really like all of your friends, or are these just like other people you know? And you can hit some of your other friends on the side and be like, yo, guys, these 500s crazy, right? To encourage them to not do the same thing. Now, listen, you're going to let them know your cheat.

But remember. But remember when it's your turn, it can happen to you. Yeah, you better be over there at that Dave and Busters, you know what I'm saying? So don't pop up with like, we're going to Ruba for three days. No. Don't try to go to, you know, I don't know, what's an awesome steakhouse in the city? Don't try to go to STK. Yeah, no, no, the whole group trip to SDK, you can't do it.

Don't try to get the big steak at Peter Lugar or something. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, so just be prepared. But I say the dinners, you might have to do it. Trips, nah. That's easy to get out. You know what I mean? To get out.
