And my let is the premier inspirational speaker life coach and peak performance expert in the United States today.
Welcome back to max out with Ed my let I got her right next to me everybody.
This is page half away and I put a pull out the beginning of the year.
I said, who are the top 10 people?
You would like to have on my program to my audience. One woman out of the top 10 was on there.
You. Wow. Isn't that cool? That is so cool. Yeah. That's amazing. So thank you for being
here. Thanks for having me. I hope this is like 20% as good as our off camera conversation.
Yeah. It's been good so far. We've been laughing and having a good time. So glad to have you
here. Thank you.
Today is going to take two different tracks everybody
for your listening, because there's two places I want
to go down two roads with you.
The first is obviously fitness.
Those of you that don't know Paige,
you should know that she's got four million followers
on Instagram.
She's risen to the top of that space.
And she's a really a top influencer and expert
in the fitness space.
So we're going to talk a lot about that
from the fitness standpoint
and also building a brand and social media.
But the other part that really fascinates me is you
because of your story and what you had to overcome
and achieve to get to where you are.
So there's two things as you're listening today.
For those of you for fitness, you're gonna get a lot out of that.
But those of you that are chasing any dream,
any vision you've got in your life, this lady has the formula and recipe that worked for her and I think her story is
going to inspire you because it did me as I did research for the interview.
Cool, it's going to be a lot.
We're going to cover a lot.
Let's hit it.
Yeah.
Alright, we've drinking our bang energy drink and so we're ready to do that now.
So let's start out talking for a second about you because I was fascinated when I found
this out and that was not that many years ago, you didn't look like this. No. You weren't overweight, you were kind of the reverse and I think there's a
lot of women, frankly, or men that can relate to this in the fact that you're just a skinny girl, right?
Definitely. So how did you get into fitness in the first place because I asked you earlier off
camera like, were you always in a gym like a gym rat and you said no, so how'd you get there?
always in a gym like a gym rat and you said no, so how did you get there? So I was living in Oklahoma at the time.
This was seven years ago now.
Oh my gosh.
And you know, I moved out when I was really young.
I moved out when I was 16 years old and I had to grow up really fast and I had a few jobs
and I was just going to college.
I worked three jobs and I had this guy that I knew. He's a friend of mine now, but a guy that I knew
Just saw like my work ethic and just thought I was really driven and he was like, you know what?
I think that he would be really good at doing bikini shows
He was like it takes a lot of you know, you know a dedication and I just see that in you and you're not you're not going out
Partying you're you're in there working and And I was just like a bikini show.
I didn't work out at the time.
I was just like, that sounds so foreign to me, like to be on stage in a bikini.
But he was so adamant on, he's like, I just think that you would do really well.
I think you could be something big in the fitness industry.
It's kind of weird.
It's kind of weird.
He saw a vision in myself before I even did.
Wow. Yeah. So, you know what? I was like, what do I have to lose?
Yeah, and I'm all in a lot of kind of person. So I was just like, why not? Let's do it. So I trained for a show
Okay, and I fell in love with it. Did he train you? He trained me? Okay
And I just fell in love with it instead of doing like a small show in the in Oklahoma
Yeah, I was like I don't't wanna do the Oklahoma show anymore.
I wanna go big or go home.
So I did the biggest show in the US.
As your first show.
As my first show.
Oh my God.
And I got second.
Whoa.
Yeah, so from there, it's kinda like going into the casino
and putting in a quarter and like, you know,
winning a jackpot on your first time.
I was like on Cloud 9 and from there,
I just became addicted to it.
That's crazy because I find with most people that are
Successful. They're all in or all out types. Yeah, all in but so I also want to understand this. Everyone here's this you were not a
training type person and this guy grabs you says I think you'd be good at this and your first show is the biggest one in the
Country and you finish second. Yeah, that's unreal. I know it's kind of crazy. So what happens from there? So now you're like, hey, I'm good at this. Yeah.
So what did you want to do with it at the time?
Did you know, are you like, I'm going to go do modeling?
I want to do more shows.
Like what were you thinking?
You know, from there, that's a good question.
From there, I knew I wanted to do something
in the fitness industry, right?
So I did do a few more shows.
But at that time, bikini shows were still new.
And I'm just the type of, I have more muscle.
Like it's just like how I've always been,
I've carried more muscle, I've been more muscle
and more muscle and more shoulders in my back.
And bikini wasn't muscular seven years ago,
six years ago, it was more like soft.
So I wasn't, come to find out, I wasn't good at shows.
You know, after I started competing more and more,
I wasn't doing well because I started working out more
so then I started building more muscle.
So I became too muscular for bikini.
Okay, so wait a minute. So you finished second in a show.
I just want to follow this.
Yes.
And then, because this is relates, entrepreneurs can relate to this.
So you do really well, but then now you start having some setbacks.
Yes.
Like you're not winning shows.
Yes.
Really? So you went from your first but then now you start having some setbacks. Yes. Like you're not winning shows. Yes. Really?
So you went from your first win.
Five-time.
Okay.
Winning a show.
Two doing a second show, doing terrible, doing a third show, doing even worse.
Wow.
Yeah.
So then I was like, okay, shows aren't my thing, but I want to do fitness, fitness modeling,
and something like that.
So that's when I went back to the drawing board I was like, I mapped out, how do I,
how do I do this?
You know, what are some options for me
to get my name out there?
Yeah.
And that's how I discovered different ways
to get my name out there.
Yeah, but you really did.
So, lesson one, she started out great,
she went it all in, lesson two, setback, setback, setback,
which is where most people end their dream. Yeah. They're like, okay, this was a fluke, I'm two, setback, setback, setback, which is where most people end their dream.
They're like, okay, this was a fluke,
I'm not gonna make it, they don't find alternative ways
get to the same place of happiness or success, right?
So, you fit this new path, but when you say you pursued it,
I kind of know this part of the story,
but like, you really pursued getting your name out there.
Explain to everybody what you started to do.
So this young girl in Oklahoma,
which is not the hot bed in the
United States of fitness queens, right? Right? Weren't really in the industry very long. You start
right in letters, don't you? So what did you do? Yeah, so you know, I just went back to the
drawing board. I was like, all right, shows aren't working out for me. Not to say that I would never
have worked out with me if I didn't stick with it, but I just wanted to find a different route.
So I went back to the drawing board and I just wrote down many different ways that I could
get my name out there.
Being from Oklahoma, who knows who I am?
You know, no one.
So I wrote down, you know, print magazine.
I wrote down different contests and competitions that I could apply for.
I wrote down different fitness expos that I could go to. I just wrote down everything I could
possibly find out about like the fitness industry and then I just started
attending, putting my name out there, trying out for things. I literally turned
into like a yes man and did everything I could to you know make make my name
know. In a positive way that I wanted to do and eventually you know, make my name know. Out there. In a positive way that I wanted to do.
And eventually, you know, stuff paid off.
So I started writing magazines.
That's one of the things on my list.
It's writing Cosmo, Women's Health.
I mean, I really.
She's writing, hey, I'm Paige.
Yeah.
You got like to be involved somehow, or?
Yeah, you want to know someone did write me back.
It was, I think it was Women's Health that wrote me back.
They were like, we'd love to have you in the magazine,
actually went to New York,
and then they were like,
are you represented by someone?
And I wasn't.
I was living in Oklahoma,
so they set me to an agency,
and the agency actually said,
would you have an Instagram,
do you have a pop card,
do you have any of this stuff?
And I was like, no.
So that's when I went back to Oklahoma. I was like, all right, I need to create an Instagram. I need to You're portfolio. I was like no. So that's when I went back to
Oklahoma. I was like all right I need to create an Instagram. I need to create a
portfolio. I need to. And so I just started building on the things that you
know I went to expose. I passed out comp cards at expose. You just
kitchen sinked it. I did everything I could. That's what when people ask me like
what how do you how do you do and I just tell them you got to you've got to just
do everyone want something, right?
They want to be something they want to achieve something,
but you've got to take the steps.
Yeah, you went shocking on.
Like you went all in.
Like people start a business, they're like,
well, I'll call these three people.
No, you've got to, bam, you've got to call everybody,
you've got to see everybody, you've got to talk to everybody,
right?
And she's not even giving herself enough credit
because I know part of this story.
So I just want you all to know this.
That New York trip.
Yeah. This is amazing. I want you to know this. That New York trip. Yeah.
This is amazing.
I want you to picture this.
I'm picture this young girl and she's fit
and she had one good show.
And then it doesn't go so good.
She's like, but I want this bad.
I want you to all picture this because this is what she's
turned into from these decisions, everybody, right?
And so you did.
You wrote everybody.
One person finally writes you back.
They say, can you be in New York next week?
You have no money.
You borrow money.
Who do you borrow from your aunt?
Right, she borrows money from her aunt to go on this trip.
Flies out there, doesn't know.
Anybody in New York's an Oklahoma girl just wanting it so bad.
And then they go, do you have an agent?
You go, no, I don't have an agent.
They sent you to an agency like you literally left
their building in you and took the subway.
Yes.
That's just amazing to me that you just kept chasing this.
And then that didn't work out either.
I do.
Okay, so let's talk about some.
I just want you to understand the when you see the afters, you don't, you need to know all of the rejection,
all of the hardship, all of the faith, all of the effort, and I just love when someone wins,
because I know how lonely those times must have felt for you.
You didn't know what to do.
You didn't have any mentors or coaches yet.
You're just like, I want it, right?
I love that about you.
But then there's finally, you're just gonna keep knocking
doors down until something happens.
So was there a turning point?
I know you had a kind of a hero you end up connecting with.
So was there like a turning point where you're like,
I kind of feel like I could do this now?
Was there a point?
You know, I just kept on putting my name out there.
I tried out for like bodybone.com spokesperson.
I tried out for Flex Magazine,
had a spokesperson contest.
I did everything you could.
I went to expose, I've made comp cards,
and I passed out comp cards to just random people
with my name on it, with my email.
I did everything and you want to know, I don't know.
There was a supplement company that came, wasn't up a company, something went company
back in the day, back in the day like five years ago.
Back in the day.
I can take it back in the day.
You're having a pack of the day, five years ago. I can take it back in the day. Bye, Ruth.
Yeah.
And they were looking for the face of their company,
and they had heard there was this girl,
because at that time too, I was building Instagram.
Yeah.
I was trying to build that, because I heard from the New York trip
that got to create some leverage with that.
So I started building that, and this supplement company came about,
and they were like looking for a face,
and then they reached out to me.
They heard
Through asking people that there is this girl in Oklahoma, you know at the time I had like 20,000 followers
Yeah, you know, she they had heard they had heard the story of me going to Olympia to pass out cards You know, she must really want it. Maybe you can meet with her and see if she'd see if she'd want to be the face
So I met with them and
Wow, I think there's this thing she wants to be the face. So I met with them and, wow.
I think there's this thing.
I just want to acknowledge something you did
and just add to lessons.
Because I think great people sometimes do things
unconsciously great.
So I think when you just make massive effort like that,
even if you're not even the best at something,
I think people want to help you
when they see you sacrificing so much, right?
Didn't you have a mentor, I'll mess her name up,
but tell me a little bit about this inspirational
meeting you have with this, is it chatty?
Oh yes.
Okay, can you just tell them about that?
I think it's also important at some point that
someone you admire when you're chasing your dream
eventually goes, you got what it takes, right?
That happened for you somewhere.
Yeah, so I, before Instagram,
it used to be people in magazines, right?
That, you know, you would look up to as your role model.
There was a lady who's my friend now,
but her name is Chatti Dunmore.
And she used to be, and she's an incredible woman,
but she used to be my idol.
I used to look up to her with what she's done,
because she also had a really cool story
and built a lot up for herself.
But yeah, so she actually, I had an encounter with her when I was trying to make it.
How did you have the encounter?
Social media.
Yeah, yeah.
Social media.
And then, one of my first photoshoots at her were with her.
So it was just kind of cool. With one of your heroes. Yeah, with one of my first photoshoots ever were with her so it was kind of cool.
With one of your heroes.
Yeah, with one of my heroes.
It's crazy.
But yeah, so...
But she told you didn't she say I see something in you, you can do this right?
That happened for you.
Yeah, and it just really helped drive me motivated me because you know when you get, you
try so much and you know if you're trying to be successful at something, if you try so much and you fail at so much or things
don't work out, you can be a little discouraging.
You know, I was trying so many things and nothing that's really working out, but I didn't
give up, and I think that was like the pinnacle of everything kind of working out.
I really respect you, because I, I think people see, like, and I want you to go to her Instagram
and hear YouTube and see what she does.
And I think when you watch that, you're going, wow, this beautiful, fit, confident woman.
And I love picturing this girl going, what's Instagram?
She takes the subway to the agency in New York and just you, that lonely part of the journey
before 4 million people plus follow you and millions of people have viewed your content.
It's what you do when nobody's watching that makes the difference, not once everybody
is watching.
And so I really, really respect where you've come from to get where you are.
And I want your fans and I want my audience to know that if she can come from Oklahoma,
and not even be in the industry, and have rejection after rejection after rejection,
no clear path either everybody.
This wasn't like, okay, this is how you do this.
Exactly, that's another thing too of being in, I guess, my realm of fitness industry.
There was, you know, girls that were in magazines to kind of like have paid that way, but no one
has really paved the way that I did.
So I didn't have a path to kind of look after and be like,
oh, well, they did this, this, and this.
So I'm gonna do this, this, and hopefully it works.
I just kind of high had to figure it out all myself.
Yeah, you did.
You've done it different.
And now people are sorting, following your pattern.
Yeah.
To some extent, right?
Let's talk about that pattern now, that kind of transition.
So how have you built such a significant following
on social media?
What have been some of the keys to you building such a great following?
And is it the content?
Is it when you post?
Is it, do you think it's just your personality coming through?
What do you think the reasons are you've grown such a big following?
Yeah, so one thing that I do believe in is just to be genuine and authentic.
I think to be able to connect to your readers or your viewers or whoever it is that you're
trying to reach.
To be able to connect to them in a certain way, I really enjoy writing a lot of motivational
things on my photos and just kind of like where I came from and like the struggles of life
and how to be successful or how to get re-eared. So to connect to your viewers is really important
because that's gonna really build a more of like a bond
with them so they get more like deeply rooted
into your brand.
I also, if you're trying to grow,
do what I did and become like a yes man,
and good.
What do you mean by that?
What's that mean?
Reach out to people, do things for free.
I didn't get paid.
A lot of the times people want to just get paid for things,
but I didn't get paid for a lot of things
before I started to actually be able to get paid for things.
And a lot of people I think feel kind of
high in my deep, just soon, and they're not going to do it
unless they get paid.
I did so much stuff for free.
And I still do things for free. So become a yes, man. Doing today for free. Yeah, I give you energy drink.
Yeah, I do drink. You know, one thing you there's two lessons there everybody because I've copied you
on this. I didn't know I was copying you but I was. One is collaboration. Which is what you just said.
Like getting sharing audiences, sharing communication, sharing information but this is really subtle,
huge thing. What I looked at your feeds and I've been watching it for, you know,
obviously a long time now, it is not just the picture you post or the video
post. I really believe the more powerful thing is the word you use with the
post. We'll call it the caption. Like you really do. I do too. I can tell you've
put a lot of thought into what you want to say. I was surprised on social media
how much people really do read them too. Right. I was surprised on social media how much people
really do read them too.
Right, I was too.
That's been a key for you in building your following.
Yeah, no, that's one of the things that I just,
especially when I meet people that I've never met before,
when I do an appearance or something somewhere
and they are like, you've changed my life.
And I've never even met them.
It's through the words under my photos. It's such a powerful
thing just to be able to do that. I do think social media is really interesting because there's
usually these one minute videos and it's amazing to me how much in a minute and on someone's
page you really do get a sense of who they are. Like I really you really are sweet. You really are
a kind person. You are and you're incredibly hard hustling, hard working, you know, and humble
about it. Like I love humility in people. I think it's such a redemptive thing and so I'm wondering
how much of this comes from fitness so let's keep going down this road a little bit how
is just fitness in general changed your life in other words what I mean by that was if I
met the girl before the first bikini show it was at the gym sometimes was she this woman
this confident this strong like how has fitness changed
you? Just the act of getting fit and training because I want to sell everybody that's not
training, not fit on getting there because it transfers over to another part of your
life, at least in my opinion, but you can tell me.
Yes. Well, I mean, before fitness, I was just working a few jobs and you know what you want to know I was I was really complacent with life and I didn't really have a direction or I didn't feel like
out of purpose or anything like that. When I got into fitness just the
dedication that I put into you know it's it's it's hard when you're
especially training for a show. Yeah you have to be really strict on your diet
and you have to work out two times a day,
do it in cardio, you know, it's just like a lot.
I don't know, that really, I'm so glad that I did that
because it just had a huge effect
throughout all the areas of my life
with being dedicated towards the hustle
of building my business and building my brand.
And it's just what I've learned through working out and being dedicated in that field has just had like a huge effect all over my whole life.
Fitness really changed my life in so many positive ways.
Why do you think more people aren't fit?
That's, I mean...
Good question, huh? Yeah, that is a good question. One of the things that That's, I mean... Good question, huh?
Yeah, that is a good question.
One of the things that I hear, I mean, I,
people have a lot of excuses.
But one thing is, if it's not in your routine,
it's hard for it to be in someone's routine.
Like, oh, I really gotta go to the gym,
but it's not in their routine, so it's really difficult.
I always tell them, like, I have days that I don't want to go to the gym too.
You know, I'm sure you do.
Big time.
But yeah, but if you just get your butt in there.
So true.
And then you leave and you feel like I'm so glad I did that.
My biggest thing is just get driving to the gym.
So even if I don't want to go, I'll just, I'm just, I drive, I force myself to go.
Wow.
That's crazy because that's what I do.
Yeah.
I'm like, you know what, I don't want to go.
I'm not even sure I'm going to walk in when I get there
or something, but I'm like,
inevitably when I get to the parking lot,
I get, I'm like, you're going to go.
There are even times I've sat in my car for 20 minutes.
I'm like, all right, now I'm going in.
Like, that's crazy.
So it's like, you're right, it is part of the routine
of just making it part of your habit and getting there.
Like, 100% totally, 1 million percent acknowledged it.
But now that it is part of your routine, my routine,
once you don't go to the gym, you feel bad.
Not even you don't feel like bad,
but you just feel sluggish, you don't have energy,
you know what I mean?
So just make it part of your routine.
I agree.
It might be difficult at first, but.
Let's talk routine.
Yeah.
Now we're getting fitness stuff here.
So first things first, Mike and Nico. I know want to know this. They want to know what is the best exercise to build your butt
So what like and I know a lot of the ladies are like you're watching this too like give me one exercise
One tip from watching this that builds your booty the best
What would it if you had to give me one? What would it be one only one? Okay?
You can give me three if you want, throw me some thoughts on that.
I would probably do one, it probably some of the targets that glutes more like a hip thrust
or anything like that.
Okay, what about squats, are they good for that or do you not do squats?
I do do squats.
You do.
I do do squats.
Yes, I do squats, but yeah, I mean it's not the best to target your glutes, but it's a
great lower body exercise, I mean actually it's not the best to target your glutes, but it's a great lower body exercise.
I mean, actually all over, but.
So give me one more.
What's one more great booty building exercise?
I mean, I don't wanna say stuff that's gonna like for guys,
because like.
I was kidding for that.
It's really a question for the ladies.
I was like, they have good glutes, so I don't know.
I'm not going there and I totally disagree.
I mean, something like the Bulgarians, what squat?
Would be a really good one.
So if you're going to want to build your glutes,
the hip thrusters, the Bulgarians, what squat?
And they can Google what that is
if they don't know what that is right now.
Or you can show them after this.
We'll show.
I'll take you some Bulgarian split squats.
Those are major part of my routine
as you can all tell from looking at me.
So, okay, so in all seriousness though,
about your fitness routine, as you can all tell from looking at me. So, okay, so, in all seriousness though,
about your fitness routine, you can look like this
and not be a complete crazy person about your diet.
So, I was watching something where you were talking about,
there was a stage of your life where like your diet
and your cardio was just cray cray, right?
So, talk about what that was like,
because if you're really gonna compete in a show,
there is this level, people ask me, like at my age,
like why don't you try to go, you know, I don't want to die like that.
I just don't.
I like wine and things other than chicken, you know, like sometimes.
So, like, you, you recommend what diet wise for people, and even in your own case, you're
shredded, you're very, I mean, obviously, crazy fit.
But you also kind of, you don't do cardio nine days a week and for three hours.
And so, take them a little bit through what you do and what you would recommend or you think
is at least passable.
Of course. So I used to be super 100, like I said, I'm 100% and 100% out in type
person. So I used to not, like I used to eat like 10 foods. I used to cardio every
single day, workout every single day for at least like two hours. Like I was just, I mean when
you hit, when you get competing, I feel like you get in this competing mode where you
just like, I don't know, it's something that now that I look back and I'm like, how
did I do that? But now I mean, I believe in more of like an 80-20. So 80% clean, 20%
live your life. Like when I was competing and 100% in like that type of mentality, I didn't go to family
functions, I didn't go to birthdays, I didn't like, I secluded myself so it wasn't even good
for me like mentally because I wasn't around people.
I was like, oh I can't go that to that because I might you know cheat or am I, then I'm
going to feel bad and then I'm going to have to do cardio.
It's just like a down word spiral and you can't live your life like that.
So I mean I just, I eat clean 80% of the time, 20%.
If I'm going somewhere, if I want something, I'm going to have it.
I'm just not going to overly indulge in it.
Moderation is key.
Don't be yourself up about it.
Don't go in the stair master for an action hour.
But now I'm actually a pethcaterian, I don't know if you know that, but I get my protein
from fish and plant-based stuff and I just do that for my own health reasons that I've
had.
And it's worked for me, but-
Can I ask you, do you mean by your own health reason?
My body didn't respond well to eating other meats, so-
Yeah, so for as long as I can remember I just had a digestion issue and
so I was just researching how to naturally help this and a lot of it came back to red meat.
For you.
For me.
So I was like I'm just going to try cutting meat out altogether and see if I can do that.
I can't be vegan. I've learned this. I just can't do it. So I did that for a month and
I was like okay this isn't working for me.
So then I went in Pascatarian and it works well for me
and all my digestion issues that I was having
completely went away.
That's wonderful.
Yeah, so you know what?
I feel like, you know, I'm not one to preach
about one diet work for other than the other.
There's so many diets out there
and so many of them work wonderfully.
I just think that you need to find something
that works best for you.
And that you can sustain. You can sustain. Because yeah, because one thing it is, it's a lifestyle and that you need to find something that works best for you. And that you can sustain.
And you can sustain.
Because one thing it is, it's a lifestyle and if you want to be fit and you want to be
healthy for a, because so many people, yo yo, right?
They gain weight, they lose weight, they gain weight, they lose weight, because to lose
weight they're not doing something that's sustainable.
So you just got to find something that you can do long term, and that works for you.
I'm huge on that too, Pays.
I love meeting super fit people go,
hey, I'm also not a robot.
Yes.
I eat a cake once a year.
I do something, I eat a little spaghetti right now.
Definitely.
Because I want people that,
some of you listen to this, are competing and want to compete
and that's different.
Now your asparagus chicken and some tilapia and that's it,
that's gonna be your deal. That's great some tilapia and like, that's it, right? That's gonna be your deal.
That's great.
I was telling him when we were off camera that like,
it's competing is one of the, I'm so glad I did that.
You know what I mean?
Really, it's, you know, I, everyone should do a show.
It just kinda like tests your like inner,
you know what I mean?
Like strength that you have.
So I'm not saying anything bad about competing
because I competed and I, I've, like, I mean, you strength that you have. So I'm not saying anything bad about competing because I competed and I,
I like, I mean, you guys are amazing.
Same here.
But yeah, for me, it's just,
it's not a sustainable lifestyle.
Isn't it cool though for people watching this
that one of the fittest women that is on the circling planet
right now is telling you, hey,
I have some fun with my food too, right?
Like what a great thing to know,
now for an average person watching this.
What would you tell them about doing their cardio?
You know, I like hit cardio best
if you're trying to really tone up.
What does that mean?
Just high intense interval training,
but so you're not doing this like rigorous one hour of cardio.
You're doing, you know, 20 to 30 minutes,
hit cardio.
Yeah, me too.
Yeah.
By the way, so if you don't know that,
you can Google interval training,
because for me, cardio is something I want to get over with.
Unfortunately, that's just me, it's not for all of you,
and so if I can get the best bang for my buck,
so to speak, it's interval training.
So I'm exactly the same way.
And for me, I heard you talk about one time before this change,
you would move from doing cardio like two hours, six days a week to like a couple days a week, is what
you were basically doing, right?
Yeah.
Yeah. And I was doing that. And you know what, if I, if I need to like dial in for something
like a shoot or something, I'll hop on there and do some, get training or on my leg days,
even some upper body days, I'll put in those like plios to make my rest more minimal to, you know,
up that high intense training in between my lifts.
So I'll do stuff like that.
One of the things I like that you do on your website
to wanna talk about this for a minute too,
is that there's different ways to do your contest
or your training for a show, meaning there's all kinds of
and you do this on your site,
but you could just do your own contest with you
and a transformation for 90 days or 30 days, too, right?
It doesn't have to be some bikini show or body building show, but you could say, look,
I'm starting a train right now, I'm six feet tall, 240, and I want to transform my body
over the next 90 days.
You do some stuff through your site, I noticed, like that, too, where you kind of mentor
people, they can send you.
We'll talk about that a little bit for the average person listening to this, too.
They could do their own contest, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I do that online.
It's just that, you know, I know that like a lot of people, you know, going to a
trainer can be expensive.
Yeah.
You're paying 40, 50, 60, 80, $100 a session.
And that can be expensive.
So I just do something where it holds more accountability online, where you can like check
in and I give a,
I even give up prize money just because,
I know.
Yeah, because 10,000 bucks, because, you know,
online training can be super,
it's hard to stay accountable, you know?
It's so hard, you don't go into a trainer,
you don't check in, you don't like here see me.
So I wanted to keep people accountable,
and that's,
They could do that literally through you
if they chose to.
You also talk about on your site real quick,
different body types too, like not everybody trains
the same way.
So can they get some access to help from you
on that through your site?
Yeah.
My site's just paytathroid.com,
and you can email me there.
You respond to everybody, right?
It just blows my mind.
So they can do that through your site, right?
They can go to your site and get that kind of information too.
So they can email me directly. Okay, right? They can go to your site and get that kind of information too. So.
Yeah, they can email me directly.
Okay, and you tell me, you respond to a lot of the stuff
yourself too, right?
Yes, even with Instagram, you know, a lot of people are like,
do you comment back to people yourself?
I'm like, yes, I comment back to people
or part of people's DMs I tried to.
Unbelievable that you do that.
Okay, so a few more things.
They don't have too much time left.
So overall, if someone was to ask you for just in general,
I want to get more fit. What would you say to somebody like, here's
where I start, this is my general advice to you about getting fit. What would you
tell them? You know, if someone's not like, they don't have a healthy lifestyle or they,
you know, they're they're trying their best to get into it, I would just ease into it.
You know, I'm a 100% out kind of person,
but a lot of people don't have that mentality.
So my best piece of advice is,
there's take a day at a time.
I would, but honestly, I would just take,
half the week, eat healthy,
then, and then half the week,
live where you're doing.
And just every day, take a day out
and start implementing that healthy lifestyle.
I would just do it like a day at a time because a lot of people, it is really hard for them.
So you want to make it a routine, right?
Because a routine is what's going to help you stay on track.
And a lot of people can't do the cold turkey type of things.
So I would just take it a day at a time, start with one day, start with two days, start
with three days, and then make it a lifestyle.
Well, I agree a million percent, I'm not as fit as you, but like, I mean, I got 100 percent
agreed that has to be something you're going to maintain.
It's so sad for me when I'm in the gym in January and it's packed with all these people
with their hopes and ambitions and new year's resolutions.
And then by like February 1st, it's back to the same people again.
Where everyone's gone.
Because what they started to do wasn't sustainable.
So I 100,000% agree.
And then another thing I want to ask you
that you can just talk directly to people,
but people that listen to my show are dreamers.
They like, they want to do something great in their life.
They want to be, they want to have a story
like yours and their chosen field, whatever it is, right?
Their chosen dream.
And it's rare that they can feel like they're sitting down
at lunch with someone who's done it,
which is what you have.
And so I'd be blowing it if I didn't ask you,
if they were sitting here at lunch, they said,
look, I have this dream.
I want to be a successful business woman
or I want to build my bakery that I have
or my online business,
whatever it is that they have.
What advice would you give someone who's chasing their dream?
Like you've chased yours.
Yeah, you know, if you remember the story of where I came from, I took me a lot of different
paths to finally get to where I am.
I would say, just like it takes, you know, you can put in a destination
and maps and you can go 10 different ways to get there, you know. There's 10 different ways to make
your dream come alive to be successful and whatever you want to do. If something doesn't work,
that doesn't mean your dream is like a no-go. You just got to try something else or try again.
was like a no-go. You just got to try something else or try again. Like what I did, I feel like too many people give up too soon. And I could have given up right when the show
is working out for me and then I wouldn't be where I am today. I could have given up
after the magazine's didn't work out and I wouldn't be where I am today. So if you have
a vision, it's there for a reason. If you have this fire inside of you,
of something that you really wanna achieve,
it's there for a reason.
You just have to figure out how to make it happen.
So don't give up.
Don't lose hope.
Just try something else.
Try again.
Hage.
Like honestly, there's this, there's like,
when you were talking something occurred to me,
it's almost like you winning was almost like
an inevitable thing.
Like you were going to just eventually find a way, right?
And I don't know why I've been in the space for 100 years,
but like I've never had such a strong sense about that.
And I wanna say to everybody that that's what I was feeling
when you said it's like, if you don't give up,
if you keep trying different ways,
eventually there's a breakthrough.
There just is because that dream is in your heart
for a reason, I totally agree.
So here's the hard question,
because I asked you this off camera,
it's our last question,
but I want people to be thinking about this
and I want you thinking about it as I told you.
So what is the future for you?
So I asked you that off camera, but I'm curious.
Like, you've had a little while to think about it.
Now, too, like, like what if I said okay page
It's five years from now. Okay. Here's your life, right? Like just some of them right like it's okay
There's no wrong answer like what would you probably isn't jumping on this helicopter? That's why I'm bias. Let's wait for that
Okay
Just a big answer because you you go by, you time.
So, okay, so here we go.
So if in five years I could say, hey, Paige,
this is your life.
Here's some of the things, are you helping 15 million
people online now, or what would be the next dream for you?
What would it be?
Yeah, well obviously I want to continue doing what I'm doing
is inspiring people to live out their best life.
We actually talked about this off camera
because he asked me, you know,
and to be honest with you, I'll just say, you know,
what I said, before, you know, seven years ago,
I had a dream to be where I am now.
Actually not even to be where I am now,
but to be just to even make it in the fitness industry
was my dream.
I had no idea that I could get this far. now, but to be just to even make it in the fitness industry was my dream.
I had no idea that I could get this far, but so I even told him, like, you know, last year I was kind of having that battle within myself trying to figure
out like, well, what is the next, what is the next step for me?
Because I've had this dream and now I've reached it.
So what's next?
So yeah, yeah.
And what I told you, so that's why I asked you this now too, is like, so I don't want everybody here this.
A lot of you have reached a level where you're like, hey, I kind of got where I thought I'd be, right?
And so the one thing is changing your identity, that thermostat we talked about.
And then it is seeking out that next association, that next person who stretches you, because one thing I told Page, I said, Page.
This thing doesn't stay the way it is. this thing doesn't stay the way it is.
Your life won't stay the way it is.
You're either growing or dying in life, right?
And so in your case, and I want people that are watching this
that watch you that know me to hear this too,
like, that's why I wanted you to say it.
Yeah, well, I, but you're a leader in this industry, right?
And so I think there are millions and millions of people
that need to hear your message, not just the getting fit one
in all the great videos you produce.
But I think I said this with a lot of people
that have sat here as well, I put them on my show.
You are inspiring.
Like what you have done and who you are is inspiring.
So you need to be projecting,
how do I get this story out there more?
I think the fit part is amazing,
but I think what you've accomplished
and what you've had to overcome to get through.
How do they find you? How do they go interact with you? Which the best places to interact with you?
Yeah, well my Instagram is paytap away. Okay.
Facebook is the same paytap away.
And then if you want to email me, if you have any questions, it's paytap away fit at gmail.com
and then my website is paytap away.com. Okay, and there's all kinds of resources on there.
