Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. Sean Stephen Harrison's scandal. We've heard of the Grammy Awards. You know the singing ones? We've heard of the Oscars or the Academy Awards. Movies. You know the acting ones? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:15 We've heard of the Emmy Awards. You know the TV shows. Exactly. Yeah. Have you ever heard of the Tony Awards? Musicals. Exactly, Harrison. Do the musicals have their own one?
Starting point is 00:00:26 Yeah. How many new musicals are there? Well, no, it's like stage. productions. Broadway West End. Yes. Oh so who did the best version of Peter Pan?
Starting point is 00:00:36 or Wicked. Wicked. Wicked on stage but not Wicked the movie. Yes. That would be... That would be the Oscars. No, but... Wicked.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Speaking of Wicked though, Cynthia Rebo, we love her. You've probably seen her on Wicked Part 1. She plays Alphaba and she was hosting the Tony Awards last night. And what I love about Cynthia Aribo is
Starting point is 00:00:59 She is one of the greatest... She's going to have lost Harrison. He's getting hugs. What I love about her is that she is an incredible singer and she kind of used it in her opening monologue, like the queen she is. I heard this and I loved it. So here is in the Arriva with the Tony Awards. Real quick, everyone, house rules and suggested etiquette.
Starting point is 00:01:18 No eating, no texting. If you're nominated and lose, smile and pretend like we've all had to do. More importantly, from your seat to the microphone, 90 seconds to speak. 90 seconds. If you go over, you will be played off, or I will sing you off. And now the end is near. And so I face my final curtain. Don't mess with me.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I've been known to cast a few spells in my time. And most importantly, I speak from the heart. I love Cynthia Reeva. I'm just like obsessed with her. She's just so funny and so gracious. And I could listen to her talk all day. Really? I kind of don't know who she is.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Because she came from musicals before weekend. I haven't seen Wicked, but I can take your word for it, she sounded crack up in that club. What we could actually do while Harrison's off hugging everybody down here at Roll-A-Dhan. Harrison, during Scandal, how many people have you hugged your record? Honestly, about 30. Yeah, it was so many. This Thousand Plank is going to happen so quickly. I was going to say maybe we could go off and watch some Wicked, but no, that would be unprofessional of us, but I would love it.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Sean Stephen Harrison's Scandal. So Scooter Braun is his name. You would have heard his name a thousand times. He's the guy that bought all of Taylor Swift's music. and she and him were in this big kind of feud, and that's why she ended up re-recording all of her music, blah, blah, blah, blah. But he's also Justin Bieber's ex-manager. He was also Ariana Grande's manager, Demi Levado, Tori Kelly, heaps of other singers.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Now, there were rumours going around that something happened between Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun. Just add it to the list of drama that Scooter's been involved with. Everyone's like, something must have happened to the point where Justin Bieber basically broke up with his manager and never wanted to work with him again. Well, Scooter Braun, he has just done a podcast where he's talked about the Taylor Swift drama, but he's also talked about the Bieber stuff. And I'm smelling porkies. I reckon this is a big lie. There's some kind of drama that he's not discussing.
Starting point is 00:03:14 This can't be the real reason that Justin Bieber ditched his manager Scooter Braun. Listen. Not the same that it was. I think, you know, these things go to Evan Flows. I think there comes a point where I understand he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it. I mean, we work together for so long and we had such extreme success. And I think you
Starting point is 00:03:35 get to a point as a man where you want to show the world you can do it on your own. And I completely respect that. There's not. There's not why Justin Bieber left you. Everyone looks at Justin Bieber and goes, oh, bro, you're lucky you're with Scooterporn. That's not why. It's lying. No, yeah. I don't know who that guy was before Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Tell the truth. It's just like it's not because if Justin Bieber was to prove that it. You can do it by himself. That's not what happened. It's something to do with money. It's something to do with, like, business stuff. But just be honest, man. Just be honest.
Starting point is 00:04:06 If you're going to do a big podcast and talk about stuff, just like, don't lie. We all know that's a lie. Anyway. Sean Stephen Harrison's scandal. One of my favorite movies is Mean Girls. I think we can all agree that it's one of the most iconic films of our generation. And Amanda Seifred was 17 years old at the time. Is it Cyfrid?
Starting point is 00:04:27 Yes. Seifred. Sayfried, my whole life. Harrison, Safefried or Seifred? No, why are you taking his word for it? Why is Harrison not here? Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Stop being in your laptop. Stop being in a half a thousand people today. Yeah, he's had a big date. He's allowed to sit down. Sayfred. Seifred. Yeah, I don't know. So we all say it differently.
Starting point is 00:04:47 No, no, no. See, I do know. Literally my job is to know this stuff. Sayfried. Can I just tell the story? Sorry. Sorry. Okay, so anyways, she was in men girls.
Starting point is 00:04:57 and she is one of my favourite characters ever. She's the character that's like, I've got ESPN or something. And she's like, feels her boobs when she's like, I think it's raining outside and her boobs can tell when it's raining. That character, right? And so she was doing this interview and she was talking about the fact that Paramount Pitches, which is the company that made Men Girls at the time, owes her and the other co-stars of Men Girls so much money
Starting point is 00:05:22 because of T-shirts that have their faces. on them that they're still selling to this day and they haven't had a seat. Listen. I really love seeing my face on people's t-shirts. Oh my God. I mean, I'm a little resentful because Paramount still owes me some money. Oh, yeah. But I...
Starting point is 00:05:39 For the t-shirts? The likeness of like every store sells mean girls' t-shirts with our faces on photographs. And I'm like, don't I... Was I, it's because I was 17 and dumb. That's crazy. Because it's like what's happening today. In Christchurch, we've got all these hoodies with jumpers with Harrison's face. them and so many people want to buy them.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I know, and if we could profit so much of it, I reckon. But that's the thing, that's what she's saying. She didn't get a cent, so maybe you wouldn't get a cent. I think they'll just start selling these without us. You mean, you're getting anything. Well, exactly. Exactly. I don't know if anybody listening, seen the photo, but maybe it's a good idea I'm not affiliated
Starting point is 00:06:12 with that face. Have you seen it? Oh, hideous. Rinkly. Fat, wrinkly, Mad magazine. On our jumpers. On our jumpers. It's you, bro.
Starting point is 00:06:20 It's like Ned Flanders had, like, a cousin that ate too much at the barbecue or something. and he got a lot to, way too much sun. Way too much sun and he's just not quite right. Good comparison, Steve. This is very long. If you want to see the image,
Starting point is 00:06:37 then go to Edge Arvo's Instagram. It's a long day. And you can see it. You're picking out what I'm laying down. It looks like the inflated, but like a weird version. Like a white raisin. Okay, we don't need to do any more comparisons
Starting point is 00:06:47 of what this image looks like. People can see it. It's on the internet. Rover. Music, radio, Podcasts
