Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. Get on the phone to Meg already! 26 past 8. We got a text late last night from Meg, who's on maternity leave at the moment, saying, hey guys, I've got something I would love to share with you guys on the show, just after 8 o'clock if you could schedule it in. I wonder what that could be.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Well, she joins us. I'm already crying. Live. Meg, good morning. Morning guys. joins us live. Good morning guys, yeah I do have big news Guy and I have bought a house. You're joking of course. There's no time for jokes man. I am now the mother of two children. Over the weekend I think I honestly still feel like I'm coming back down to earth and it's all a bit of a blur but I believe it was yesterday that I had my second daughter. No! Why are you doing that? Why are you doing that?
Starting point is 00:01:05 Why do you want to be a girl? Oh yes! Oh yes! Oh me! We're so happy for you. I had my second daughter. Her name is Mila Lake Mansell. She'll be going by Mila or Millie.
Starting point is 00:01:23 She can either be her little tomboy coolness or a little sweet Millie, whatever she wants to be. But she is, I don't know if anybody cares about the weight, but she's 3.8 kg, so not the fiver that 5 kg zebra almost said it was going to have. They were lying to you. Yeah, they were. And we're just over the moon. Daisy got to meet her little sister yesterday
Starting point is 00:01:48 and she was amazing with her. And it's just, it's obviously hugely overwhelming and exciting and full on. And we're very happy to be a girl family and have two girls in our lives, two happy healthy girls at the moment. Oh, we're so happy for you, Meg. This is the best news.
Starting point is 00:02:09 How does it feel, my love, to know that you never have to give birth again? It's done. You made your family. I would do, and then look, I've been going back and forth, Ash, on how much I say about my birth. Let's say I am, because I don't want to frighten anybody, and I think that probably says enough. But let's just say I am happy that it is in my past. I'm also extremely proud of myself.
Starting point is 00:02:37 And if the boys ever give me shit for anything ever again, I will go back to that place and know what I'm capable of and I won't I will not listen to a word they say because what I went through to get to get this family has been pretty big but we're here and we did it and it's you know it was a moment in time and it's in my past now and I'm very proud of myself and I'm very happy to be looking down right now at a very sweet little girl who by the way is a clone of her sister. Oh thank god. Because Nick, you know we've had the discussion. We were worried.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Yes, we've had the discussion. We were worried. How could you have two? How could you have another little girl as beautiful as Daisy? Like it's very, because I'm so happy that she looks like her sister otherwise she's going to be in the shadow of that beautiful supermodel child forever and I love the name can I just say I love her name I've been really nervous about the name of her I mean I don't know what else to be
Starting point is 00:03:37 honest with with you guys and the whole and and everybody listens to the show I don't know how to not be honest but I've been so nervous about the name. I know people will say it a bit out there and it's a boy's name or it's a surname, but it's a cool girl's name and we like that. She can also be Malia. Well, babe, we're getting so many texts coming through. Like everyone is so, just lots of,
Starting point is 00:04:01 oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, in capital letters. Hannah said, what a beautiful name, Meg. OMG, wishing you, oh, she's on, she wants to talk to you. Let's get Hannah on. Hannah, you're talking to Meg. Oh my gosh, Meg, good morning, sweetheart. We are all so proud of you, and that is the most gorgeous name I have ever heard,
Starting point is 00:04:21 honestly. Daisy's gonna be the best, biggest, oldest, fifth, and you're gonna be the best mum twice over. Thank you Hannah, thank you so much for that. It's like so overwhelming to have people that you know I know I haven't even like met me in real life but I really feel like I have such a strong connection to because of this amazing job that I have and thank you as always for I've felt your love and I've always felt your love through this pregnancy so I can't thank everybody enough and genuinely sending out the love because I am very connected.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Sorry am I talking too much? Am I on with the break? I was just going to say. It's a long break isn't it? You can talk till 9. Talk till 9.30 and we'll sit here listening, lapping it up. I was just going to say speaking of connections a long break. You can talk till 9.30 and we'll sit here listening, lapping it up. I was just going to say, speaking of connections... Is Clint okay? He's fine. I haven't heard much from him.
Starting point is 00:05:12 No, you go Dan. I was just going to say, speaking of connections, Ash is a mess. Yeah. Right in your centre. There's tears, there's snots. Everyone's so excited, Megan, like we'll jump in and so we're just wanting you to just have your time as well. I know.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I do want to ask you one question, Megan. I remember before you left, you were really concerned and it was making you quite emotional that you wondered how you were going to have enough love to give to another kid. And I wonder over the last two days, how much that perspective of yours has changed. Yeah, it has, but I still don't know if I like it.
Starting point is 00:05:47 LAUGHTER I think, just like, nothing but... Honestly, it's amazing. I would never have gone through what I went through in my birth and then been out with till I instantly love something so much with somebody so much afterwards it doesn't feel like it should be physically mentally possible to have something or somebody put you through that in a way and then to love them so immensely and not have any
Starting point is 00:06:20 regrets and I yeah I just adore her instantly isn't it funny I just adore her. Isn't it funny? I just adore her. I feel very lucky to be a little girl mom to two and I think my husband Guy will suit me. Girls are the best. Oh good morning everybody. Oh Guy. He was amazing. It was almost like an eye roll. Do you know, I came back from, I had to have a very urgent surgery after I gave birth and I came back and he started like bathing me with flannels and towels. Oh mate, get your hands off, she's just given birth.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Yeah, just a few hours. Come on mate. Man, okay, flannels and everything. You didn't put on a perm, really? Yeah. I'm egret, ecstatic, there are a lot of tears and I know we want to piss you and we've got a thousand questions. We also want to give you your time with your brand new family. Have a big rest, my love. You're our hero. We bow down. There is nothing more powerful
Starting point is 00:07:15 than what a woman has to go through to bring a Bubba into the world and you've done it twice. You're amazing. Thank you. Thank you. And never again. Never again. She's shutting up shop down there. Oh never again. I think it's an emphatic never again. Let us know when you're home because Hannah's made bliss balls and minestrone for you so I'll drop it over. Oh brilliant we're all a soup family thanks for that Dan. Thank you. Love you guys. We love you babe. Love you bye. Thank you, Meg. We love you, babe. Love you. Bye. Bye.
