Starting point is 00:00:00 The best eight moments from Clint Megan's Dan this week. It's the greatest date. We found out yesterday, it could just be the eight bits that our producer Brady could be bothered editing from last week's show. Let's not make that a thing, though, because then people won't listen, Clint. That's true. But it's not my fault. That's producer Brady's fault. Don't say that at the top of the show.
Starting point is 00:00:20 You don't see a Brian Seekress saying that at the top of his show, do you? I'm going, oh, this is probably just some of the worst bits. Is he still doing radio? I think he still does, yeah. Oh, surely. He still does his radio show in America. He's looking a little. Very say it funny.
Starting point is 00:00:31 He's done a lot of work done. Producer Brady, would you put in more effort if you were doing Ryan Seacrest's show? Who's Ryan Seacrest? Oh, there we go. That's what I thought. He's going to have to go on a list the next week, isn't he? Is he joking, though? No.
Starting point is 00:00:44 No, I think, you know what? Ryan Sechreis hasn't been really that relevant to New Zealand for like 20 years. I'd love to know how much money he made off American Idol. Oh, he'll be all good. I think he'll be fine. Yeah, totally. But I'd love to know what the total figure was, because he would have been making not a hell of a lot in the first few seasons,
Starting point is 00:01:02 and then he was American Idol. Well, to be fair, all the judges changed over time, but he was like the only constant. Like it started with Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. And then it ended with Katie Perry. Jesus. True, Lionel Richie. Lionel Richie.
Starting point is 00:01:18 And the country guy. Okay. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest state. Gine, it's Brady here, and welcome back to another producer's diary. It's been a fun week on the show. I'll get you started with this clip of Clint Megan Dan out of context. I just dump my loads and then leave.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Clint Megan Dan got caught talking about fetishes in Nauty 640 and Clint's fetish may surprise you. I do love big yellows. Yeah, he does. You feel other people's yellow. Really? Because I see it's all right. And yours are very small.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I know. Dad's got good ones you can cling on to. Yeah, have a look at these. Untouched, well, non-pressed. Do you like this? Yeah. You want to feel them. You want to get them little time.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Or if you put your finger underneath and then wiggle them back and forth. Do that. You want to be like that? Oh yeah, it does make me want it. A couple of virgin earlobs. All click, I never knew you were like this. Good thing, my ears are squashed and small because I'm wearing headphones for about 12 hours a day.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Meg hasn't been doing much to help herself in terms of her old lady persona either. You could get locked in anywhere overnight on your own. Surely be rainbows at mall. I think a mall. I'd like to be in a mall. You can just try out all the beds. Is that it?
Starting point is 00:02:25 Meg drives out the first bed falls asleep. Oh, I was a waste. That was a waste. See if you can figure out the reason as to why the boys are telling me to visit all of these countries. You'd start off in Ghana, then you'd head to the Republic of Congo, then maybe go to Ecuador, and then the DR of Congo. So you go back to Congo. You should be coming back with a limb. And then you finish in Sudan.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Thanks for that, boys. We're stopping in Venice. Not my first idea over all ever to become single. I'm just going to do a world tour of the biggest. And now it's time for the easy money blunder of the week, and poor old Vanessa wasn't filled with confidence. this might be the worst one year. Easy money. Time for your favourite game.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Easy money. No, no, you can do it, Vanessa. The letter is T. Give me one of the five senses. Feeling. Oh, starting with tea. Oh, shit. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:13 We'll start again. We'll start again. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Here we go. One of the five senses. Talking. We're going to stop you there, Vanessa. Like, touch and taste.
Starting point is 00:03:23 The touch are the only two. Should we start again? Just say touch, and then we'll keep going. Okay, here we go. One of the five senses. Senses. Touch. A herbal spice.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Time. A musician. Um... Tyler Swift. An animal. Pig. I'm not... All right.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Well, stop me there. Easy money's been going on for what now, like a month and a half, and we've still only had one win. Come on, guys, you can do it. Now, I knew Dan was best mates with the boss, but I didn't know he was this close. We got invited to a Father's Day event with Kimmer's Warehouse. I invited my dad, and then I've been up. Hands and part of his boss. And the sad thing is, I don't even think he's coming.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Because I was like, they gave us plus ones. And I was like, I don't have anyone that's a plus one. I don't know the boss was your dad. Do you call him, Dad? He's been more of a father figure than my actual dad. Sorry for bringing that one back up, Dan. It's one of the most common skills in radio talking up to the post. Here's an example from Clint.
Starting point is 00:04:21 90s, 40 Necks on the edge. But I'm not sure if Clint and Meg went to the same broadcasting school. Here's Meg's a tent. I'm not telling the truth. And I do not need an energy drink. Sorry. So I just, I don't know, normally, I feel, sorry. See it.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And we'll wrap it up with a hit the spot. We did Alex Warren Passenger on Tuesday after Alex cancelled his concert for being sick. Unfortunately for those of you that were meant to go, but the team still gave it a red hot bash. Hit the jams, Clinton. I would die for you by the way. Not that you would mind, but I try. I try. Try.
Starting point is 00:04:59 A try. A try. I try from the passengers. I cut for the producer's diary this week. Have a good week in, you bloody legends and up the wide. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest state. Hi, Jane.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Hey, Sven. Hey, good morning. Good morning. Oh, switching to English. Good morning, guys. Is that JJ Mike and Dom? No, it's Clinton Meaghan. as out of the office again somehow.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Hey, we wanted to talk to you, Svim, because we called you for the latest on the condom story in France, and you would have heard about the condoms in France that are unsafe and they've all been, like, recalled, like, 300,000 of them? No, we should say again, JJ? Sorry, that's a shocking thing.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Say again to me? Like 300,000 condoms have been recalled because they're unsafe, and they say you should go and get STI and pregnancy checks and we know that you're in France so I thought maybe you'd have some information. You have got to be
Starting point is 00:06:11 kidding me. I don't know nothing of this. I've seen no news. I've been bumping uglies with anything that moves over this. I'm on holiday at the moment over in France and you're telling me this filth. You better not be pranking me, JJ. No, no. How many people are we talking about the bumping uglies and stuff?
Starting point is 00:06:28 Well, stick to the scripts, Clint. You need to stick to the script. Do you know anything about this? Should you be concerned? Should I be concerned? Does a cat have a butthole? Yeah. Of course I'm concerned.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I've been humping my way around France for the last three weeks. Literally, I've just been at a festival in France called Le Shagfest, 2026. I've been in and out of more people than the magic school bus. So yes, I'd say I'd be a little bit concerned. Well, how many people are we talking, Sven? Honestly, I'm just trying to think I'm racking my brain. now, Bolly. I mean, I've lost count, if I'm honest, off the top of my head. I've had a little bit of Monica in my life. I've had a little bit of Sandra in the sun. There was Mary. I had her
Starting point is 00:07:18 all night long. And then let's not forget about Angela, Pamela, Sandra and Rita. And as I continue, my problems are getting deeper, if I'm honest. Are you just quoting Mumbo number five, Sven? I don't know what you're talking about. Look, guys, I don't have time for this. I need to make some calls. There's a chance I've made several women up the doof. And as you say, in New Zealand, I'm f***a puppet. And I've never wanted to be a papa. Children scare me. I don't want to be a dad. So leave me to it back to you guys in the studio. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's very concerned. They're recalling them, Sven. So if you've got any leftover, mate, send them back.
Starting point is 00:07:54 You're going to need to get off me because I've, these condoms are not working. The best eight moments from Clint McGinn Dan this week. It's the greatest state. So Clint is planning on going to America at some point Which means he needs to send his social media pages to Donald Trump And let him read through them to see if he's a good enough picture This morning Went back through your Instagram Nightmare
Starting point is 00:08:17 Not your Facebook I switched it up a little bit this morning to see Because of course they check all social medias, don't they? I know my first post was of a guy Sebastian album So I don't regret that And Clint's been a I guess a quasi-celebrity For many years now So he was posting more than others
Starting point is 00:08:32 Stop. You know? Yeah, okay. So we'll have this one. You haven't doctored any of these? I promise I haven't doctored them, but I am going to do them in a voice. Oh, cool. Like a dumb, stupid voice.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Yes, yeah, they am. Nice. This is a picture of you holding a coffee cup. Times may be tough right now, but I'm thankful. We can still enjoy small perks like a takeaway coffee. I did not. Especially when it's free. How?
Starting point is 00:08:54 Just download the BP Me app and unlock a free while being coffee that you can enjoy. So this would have been recently. This is COVID times, I'm guessing. Hashtag, thank you coffee. There were a lot of hashtags. It was like COVID. It was like six years ago. Still, you were old enough to know better.
Starting point is 00:09:08 You posted a topless photo of yourself running and then you said, what hurts you today makes you stronger tomorrow. Honestly, you need to have it taken off you. I'm like, they should give you strikes. Strike three, he loses your account for a month. Another topless photo. And his undies. Can't beat the feeling of a lazy slunday Sunday sleep in.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Is that it? Oh, another one. Just a selfie of himself. Pretty spoiled. This father's day. day dad loves his jewelry just as much as mum does. I'm going to see another sponsor post. Oh, he was a Michael Hill.
Starting point is 00:09:37 God, he thinks he looks like Johnny Depp there, eh? Oh, this is a good one. No, it sounds like you think I look like Johnny Depp there. No. So this is one where Clint is dressed up with a fake cigarette in his mouth. So you're dressing up as somebody, I don't know what it is, but it's a fake cigarette in your mouth. You go, when dress up is life, hashtag fake sleeve tattoo. Hashtag, it's flower that comes out of the cigarette.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Did someone tell you the more hashtag? So in case anybody saw you smoking. It's not real. Let me ask, did you get that hashtag trending by any chance? Yeah, he's the only hashtag that has ever used it. Click on it. Click on it. I can't, I can't.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Oh, you've screenshot it. No one else has used that. You would be the only person that ever is written there as a hashtag. Okay. This one is a photo of him smiling with a hat on. Were you trying to look like Johnny Depp this whole time? I think he was a little bit. It's him with like long hair and like hats and stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:23 He said, it copped so much flack for this hat this morning I found in my wardrobe and I dusted it off. Seems not ever in vibes. My theory. If you're a little unsure when you put something on. You'll probably bang on. Hashtag Candid. Hashtag pair pressure. He's fishing, eh?
Starting point is 00:10:36 He's fishing there. Stop in me again. There's another one. This is you, again, sleeveless working in the studio, and it's a screenshot of a video saying, I'm getting shit from the web girl for my work attire. Hashtag it's radio.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Hashtag what winter? Hashtag aircon. Hashtag clothes, shaming. Stop, please. There's more. There's more. Who told you that the more hashtags the better? This is this one that clip was doing.
Starting point is 00:10:56 This is for, to make sure you can get into America. He's looking out into the ocean. It's the back of his head. And he says, oh what you're taking a photo hashtag basic bitch hashtag I did know this photo was being taken man you Clint honestly
Starting point is 00:11:10 someone must have told me like the more hashtags the better they don't this is another good one this is a photo of you with cornrows and you said all the cool kids are doing it or they've had it done before hashtag cornrows hashtag no filter hashtag I'm a loser and cringe oh my god I do remember that and then it was like over summer
Starting point is 00:11:27 and obviously where the cornrows part I got some bit so bad on the top of my hair and then look like a dandruff. And this is my favourite one. It's a photo of you out with your brother and your friend Kish. And you say off to bone thugs with these two gangsters, hashtag bald bone and hashtag full skin bone.
Starting point is 00:11:44 That was quite good. Blake sex through and said Clint, this is the reason why they put the hashtag limit on Instagram. It's Clint Megan Danz. And let's settle this. Let's settle this right now. The age old argument. Do you put your seat back on a flight? Morning, Chelsea.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Good morning. How are you doing? Well, I'm a little bit grumpy, if I'm honest. What are your thoughts on it? What are your thoughts? So it also depends on the time of day that you're traveling. Like if it's when you should be asleep, then absolutely not to put your seat back. But if food served, no way, keep it upright. Yeah, true, because you don't want your tray up around your face either.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Oh, yeah, of course. I think when you're eating, it's hard to eat when you're half laying down. But I like that. When they put all the window shades up and then they turn the cabin lights off, then it's like, it feels like we're in reclining. mode. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I love it though when they finally do that little beep-boob and you've got to put your
Starting point is 00:12:39 shade up and sit your seats back up and they don't and then the cabin lady comes down and she goes, excuse me. Yes, true, yes. You put your damn seat back up. You know the people that complain about seats going back are the same type of person that get on a flight and complain about a kid crying and they haven't brought noise cancelling headphones. That's not my problem.
Starting point is 00:12:55 As soon as I feel someone's seat going back I jam my knees up in it so then when they they kind of push it up and they're like, oh, oh sorry, it won't go any further, Hey Rod, morning. Hey guys, how you doing? Yeah, good, Rod. What are your thoughts?
Starting point is 00:13:09 Well, Dan, I am a big guy, and for that reason, I refuse to recline. I had one person recline. I thought, okay, it's late. We're all very tired, so recline, have her sleep. She woke up, didn't put the seat back up. I'm like, come on. Put the seat back up. Once you wake up, you put the steam in the air.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Yeah, and you go to the bathroom, your seat's still in recline. I think if you're recline for the whole flight, that is a bit mean. but she should be able to put her seat back and Rod you can also put your seat back so it's actually the same but the fact that she kept it down for the whole flight's annoying I'm quite tall and when they put the seat back
Starting point is 00:13:43 I can't see the TV screen properly yeah you get the glare coming through the window it's just because Dan's little he doesn't understand these things that you guys have to put it I'm 6-1 okay no I'm 6% he's shorter than me he's done this before I'm 6 maybe maybe
Starting point is 00:13:57 hi Lee hi heyley he worked up No I put my seat back straight away because I travel with an under two year old Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:14:09 You definitely That's a ticket to free do that Yeah definitely Yeah Surely nobody would be saying anything To that as well It's having that Two year old
Starting point is 00:14:16 You're being surprised I've had it said Several times To put your feet up Wow My goodness I would die I would jump off the plate
Starting point is 00:14:24 I'm so sorry I'm just gonna go jump off the plane Excuse me everybody Let me just open the window I'm just jump you off the plane now See you later Yeah yeah yeah There's been confrontation.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I'm involved in Meg and I would go to lavatories and pitch and moan about them. Someone's checked through saying Dan's got the personality of someone that would only made it to business class. I can't afford business class. Dan has a business class attitude with an economy budget. You do love a premium economy though. Emma said my partner's a large man. He definitely would call you out if you put your seat back.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Dan, I feel like you wouldn't fight back. No, I wouldn't. I just let him get angry and get kicked off the plane. You'd jump out with me. Meg. Yeah, then I'd definitely put my seat back. Be like, Meg, I'm coming with you. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
Starting point is 00:15:08 It's the greatest save. Books by Boomers. Mirabar Morgan wrote this, I think, in the 70s, and it is very, very, very, very, very sexist. Is Mirabal still alive? Yes. She is. She's still kicking around as far as I know.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Bless her. So this is her advice, not mine. But if you are having arguments with your husband, husband, she's giving me three tips on how to better that. And maybe if you've tried everything, it's time to try this? Yeah, you've got a hot-headed husband who keeps yelling at you and arguing with you. This is what she says to do. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Number one, control your tears. Oh, my God. This, control your tears. Otherwise, you teach your husband, don't tell her her faults. All she'll just cry. I always sit there. Now gentle tears may make a man feel protective and strong, but great big heaving sobs will only unnerve him
Starting point is 00:16:09 and make him want to get away from you fast. Oh God, Mirabal. Yeah, he doesn't know how to cope with such emotion, but to protect his self-esteem, he will fight back with you. And everyone at one time or another hurts or offends their mate. So the next time your husband hurts you, instead of dwelling on what he did, maybe think about how you will respond to his actions.
Starting point is 00:16:30 These are shocking. I'd love to get Mirabal on and see if she still stands by her claims from her book. Yeah, because we talk about how a lot of things haven't aged well and this is over 50 odd years. I wonder if she'd be like, yep. Yeah, I think she'd stand by. I can't believe she said, don't like her husband will be like, don't tell her what's wrong with her.
Starting point is 00:16:47 She'll just cry. Number two, plan the proper time and atmosphere. An angry outburst can scar your husband's emotions. Don't try and save your marriage while he's reading the sports page. Oh my God. Timing is important. If you interrupt his favourite TV program, you cannot expect him to be happy listening to what you have to say.
Starting point is 00:17:10 If you were watching the Warriors Sunday afternoon, that's when your partner decided to have a combo about what's going wrong with your relationship. It would be a little annoying. Never interrupt me when I'm reading the newspaper. I've also found it easier to resolve a conflict when my husband's blood sugar is high. Make sure his tummy is full and make him a nice dinner.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And number three, gently tell him what is. in your heart. It was Shakespeare who wrote. Her voice was ever soft. Gentle and low. What an excellent thing in a woman. Happy marriage. Wow, whose team is she on? She was the woman or the dudes? Let's get a reprint
Starting point is 00:17:44 of this book. Everybody should read it, I say. June and halfway through, not Meg's advice. That's actually from a book written in the 70s just to see how it's dated. Yes, that one's not well. I guess it was just a thing of that time, wasn't it? The woman was
Starting point is 00:18:00 Homemaker, he'd come home. Those poor mums. Those poor mums back in the day that were just reading these books to say don't, you know, everything is on you. All of his moods, all of his emotions, that's all on you and off on your shoulders. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
Starting point is 00:18:14 It's the greatest state. Unfortunately, he had to cancel his show due to sickness last night. So he did a gig. Friday, Saturday and Christchurch, and then missed last night in Spark Arena. So Paul and his son, Atticus, who are in studio right now, came up from Upper Heart. And unfortunately, had to,
Starting point is 00:18:30 Pivot on their plans. Morning, Paul. Morning, guys, how's it going? There'll be many people like you guys, I'd imagine, that have travelled a long way, and then the concerts is cancelled. It doesn't happen very often, does it? It doesn't, and Alex very much so would have been incredibly gutted. I think he probably has influenza. It's going around in New Zealand at the moment,
Starting point is 00:18:48 it's knocking people out. My wife had it, and she was horrifically sick. Yeah, she wouldn't have been out of performing a concert. No, she had to cancel a few gigs. Would this have been, how old's your boy, Atticus, who's in studio with us this morning? He'd just in six last week. This is our birthday present. Is this going to be your very first concert, Atticus?
Starting point is 00:19:04 Can I just say here's the most darling little man. He is. He's gorgeous. Yeah. Okay, well... We're noisy people, aren't we, Adichus. You messrs this morning saying, all right, we've done the movies. What else can we do before?
Starting point is 00:19:16 We've got to head home at 3 o'clock this hour. We're like, mate, come visit us. And you took us up on it. And so this Atticus is as close as you're going to get to Alex Warren, unfortunately. And that's Dan doing a hit the spot attempt of passenger. I think he looks a little like Alex. It's enough. Yeah, I'm like a cheap Timo version.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is all you're going to get, unfortunately. Okay. Okay. You happy with that, Atticus? We'll do it, hit the spot with Dan. I'm getting the nod. He's getting the nod.
Starting point is 00:19:39 So we're doing Passenger, the song that just played. We're doing the end bridge into the chorus. Now, we are going to all take part in this. So, Clint, you're going to say, and I try. Meg, you're going to say and I try. Yeah. I'll do the rest, and hopefully we come out in the end all on time, and we hit the spot. Hit it.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Hit it. Hit it. Hit it. Hit it. Hit the spot. Whoa. Okay. Now, I'm never involved in these, so I don't know what's gone into Dan.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Well, I think we need to do something different. You know what, and Meg, I think this is an easy one for you to hold you, you know, to dip your toe back and to hit the spot. Okay. I've faced in you. Are you taking your cue from Dan? Yes. Okay. And remember Meg's really good at timing.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Good at timing. She played the drums in our band. And it was a bit fast. But, you know, still, it was, your timing's okay. Singing's back. I'm trying to piggy up, mate. Yeah, thank you. So, yes.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Oh, my gosh. I meant to be more confident. Right. Okay. Good. All right. This one's for Atticus in studio. He's six. He missed out on his very first concert of Alex Warren.
Starting point is 00:20:31 We're trying to get him as close as we can. Birthday last week. To the action. All right, don't stuff it up in front of a six-year-old Atticus, please. There we go. Find the rhythm. What it feels like. Put my heart out on a silver plate.
Starting point is 00:20:54 I would die for you, by the way. Not that you would mind, but I try. I try. A try A try Have a wide try From the passenger side His face has not changed
Starting point is 00:21:19 He's like, when does Alex Warren come at? He's looking at the door Where is it? We know what we need to do. Are we ready? I love The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week It's the greatest state
Starting point is 00:21:37 One truth Two lies And 500 dollars Clint Meg and Dan Three stories Two of them lying, one of them is the truth. This has been the hardest week we've done it. True, I agree.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Previous weeks. I still don't know. We awarded the cash to the truthful story week one. We unfortunately gave it to an imposter. It was a bloody good liar last week. We need to find out who is telling the truth. I'll give you a very quick recap of the three stories and then let us know. All right, this was Max meeting one of Meg's idol, Stanley Tucci.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I've moved to London. I ended up being a runner on a San Pellegrino ad. Stanley Tucci comes to us. the runners and goes, oh, I need some apples. Like, PA was like, yo, dude, you go, drive, find some organic apples. And we spent overall, like, two days trying to find him these apples.
Starting point is 00:22:28 A two-day apple hunt for Stanley Tootie? Seems unlikely. Oh, was it Rosie's story of a celebrity encounter? I once came face-to-face with Harry Styles. I saw him riding on a line bike in London. I've always wanted a Harry Style's tattoo. If I get him a Sharpie and he can write
Starting point is 00:22:46 signature or something, on me, then I can get that tattooed. The story went on, she found one, he drew some sort of a bird on her. She got it tattooed the same day. I don't know. And me and Jacob yesterday says, no, no, no, those two are lying, because this
Starting point is 00:23:02 happened to him. So I was in London and I came face-to-face with Gordon Ramsey, a cameraman for a travel blogger, and we saw him in an airport. We went up to him and started yapping. He eventually challenged us to go find a better beef Wellington than he
Starting point is 00:23:18 can make it two days. That one's kind of believable, right? What are you going, Danny? Oh, I'm actually quite torn. Like, I've listened to every week's one, but I might be leaning more towards Is it Max, the first one?
Starting point is 00:23:31 Stanley Tucci and the Apple Hunt over two days? Another vote for Max. He was quite confident. I mean, if you're lying, you have to have some... Unless he's a blooming good liar and he can just cover it. Yeah. Kerry has said the Ramsey story is a lie, so that's the final story that's Jacob.
