This is a podcast from Rover.
The best state moments from Clint McGee Dan this week.
It's the greatest day.
Good morning with you for the next couple of hours.
At least I am.
Don't know where Meg and Dan are running late for their Saturday morning shift, it seems.
Looking back at the highlights of this week, Meg's pregnancy prank.
Sven, our international correspondent, when he visited me in Hawaii, allegedly.
The worst thing you've had in your mouth.
And why will you never show your phone to anyone?
again unsupervised.
We'll get to all that coming up in the next couple hours.
Producer Carl, we're here on time.
Meg and Dan, have you heard from them?
Actually, oh no, Meg is here, but she's just in the bathroom.
She's just doing a massive morning.
Yeah, okay.
Sometimes she doesn't time that right.
All right, well, hopefully she joins us next when we kick off the Greatest Day.
Oh, she just got back.
Meg, are you ready?
Are you done with the toilet?
Can you, yeah, Saturday morning, come on, mate.
And welcome back to another producer's diary.
Klim was away at the start of the week this week.
and if you didn't know where he was, I've made this for you.
In Hawaii, Aulani Disney Resort and Spa?
I don't know if I told you, Dan, but I was in Hawaii.
Aulani Resort, beautiful spot.
Dan is going to catch me up on all the things that I missed while I was away in Hawaii.
And I'm back from a pretty quick trip to Hawaii.
I've been away a few days because I was in...
Don't mention it.
He was in Hawaii.
That's all we need to know.
And if you do go there, Aualani Resort.
No, no, la, la.
Yeah, bro, get that bag.
And Dan woke up on the wrong side of the bed on mother.
Day.
Katinka, morning.
Get on with it.
Sorry.
Sorry, don't let him talk to you like that.
Thank you, Katinka.
He's been in a mood all morning.
Yeah, sorry, I have.
And I couldn't forget your weekly dose of Clint
Meg and Dan out of context.
I'm usually waiting for an elderly woman
to finish so I can get on.
Yeah, we'll finish on GC.
My wife's had my pubs in her mouth.
Okay, we're finishing on a tart.
Felt something hard in my mouth.
And now it's time for the easy money blunder of the week.
Easy money.
The letter.
It was if, Ariana, give me some that you'd buy at a supermarket.
Fish fingers.
A country.
France.
A relative.
Father.
An occupation.
French dick maker.
A drink.
Fizzy drink.
A musical instrument.
Finger puppet.
Something hot.
It's not music.
Fish fingers.
I can't say the same thing.
Honestly, stop.
Time.
Diana.
Still on.
only one winner for f***.
Lucy from The Night Show came in on Tuesday
to fill in for scandal for Meg
while she was away, and it didn't take long
for a bit of ages and to start creeping in.
I'm frothed for the In Between his movie.
It must be all in their 40s now, the actor.
Season 1, premiered in 2008.
Hell would you have been, Lucy.
Oh, goodness me.
Oh, goodness me.
Yeah.
God, Clinton had already had his 30th.
He's lying, Lucy.
Dan managed to get an unexpected confidence boost
after a phona about what was the worst thing that you've had in your mouth?
I had an espresso machine.
One day, you know, you pop the top open and put the pod in.
I'm going to say like a three-inch cockroach crawled out.
Three-inch?
It was massive.
It was one of the big mama ones.
Hear that, Dan?
Three-inch is massive.
That's very, very big.
Happy for you, mate.
Purchasing a house with your mate has become increasingly more popular,
but Meg isn't keen on becoming Dan's new bun buddy.
So I've got a few friends,
and they were best mates
and bought a house together
and filled it with flatmates
to get even more out of the rooms
they stayed on bunk beds
in one room and then rented out of the others
Oh my gosh
I don't know about the bunk bed
There you go of Megan I purchased house
Shotgunned top bunkin
Oh no you're a bedwitter
I know
Trickle down
And I'm not getting a mattress protector
And that wraps it up for producers diary
this week
Have a good weekend you bloody legends
And up the waz
The Best 8 moments from Clint Meggin Dan
This week
It's the Greatest
I went on a podcast the other day with Jess Quinn.
Gosh, she's an amazing woman.
She is model.
She's an entrepreneur.
She's got a business.
And she also lost her one of her leagues to cancer when she was an eight-year-old.
And there was something that came up that I thought, I don't think I've talked to the boys about that.
Where when it came to, I don't need to go through all the birth with Miller, but I had a pretty
scary birth.
And I got rushed into surgery.
You guys know that part.
Traumatic.
Yeah, very, very scary for everybody involved.
Very scary for my husband.
who had a toddler and a brand new baby
and his wife was in surgery for hours
and didn't hear anything.
Yeah, that is frightening.
Really frightening.
And the last time he saw me, I was passed out
with blood everywhere.
But the thing that is really terrible
that I don't think admitted to you guys
is that when I did come to when I woke up
from the surgery, yeah, I am alive.
I'm sitting there.
I am so chilled out on the anesthesia,
which kind of makes you a little loopy.
So I wake up for,
and my midwife is there and so
the nurses and I'm like brilliant, I'm
great and they're like awesome, we'll let guy know and I go
stop, don't do that
and they go, what?
And they go, no, no, no. Let him
sit and worry. Oh, that's
not part of your brand. Oh my God.
So I can surprise him when I get rolled up.
And they go, are you sure?
When I get rolled up. Like, you know, brought back into
the room. Oh, right, right, right.
not like a mummy.
Surprise, I'm alive.
God, well, you'd bandished up that much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
To be fair, it was pretty bad down there.
And they go, are you sure about that?
I think maybe from the nurse's perspective, though, like, it's been a boring day.
We need someone to spice it up.
Who wants to go get some streamers?
The nurse is like, I actually do want to see how he react.
So, like, I sit there for another 45 minutes to an hour in recovery.
Like, I'm there.
An hour!
Like, I'm sitting there.
I'm chilling.
It's a long time.
I'm just chilling out.
I'm fine.
I'm still, basically, good.
I'm loopy as
and then they finally find somebody
because they have to get people to like
okay we have to wheel you up
and they have to find the right moments
it's busy
so they finally wheel me back up
and like here's my moment
I'm gonna get wheeled into the room
and I'm gonna go
hey sucker I'm still alive
I don't know
like still alive
loser are you crying
what a loser
what is wrong with me
I haven't seen my baby yet
so it's like you know
basically I still don't really know
what it is
and then they
I'm going up to the room
I'm like here I go
here I go
and then they spin
the bed around because they put you in headfirst.
So I didn't even get to see a surprise.
And I remember being like...
Because I got to spin you around to get you in through the door.
And I remember going, no, wait.
Oh, like, they're...
What's he doing?
I can't see him crying.
Has anybody got the party poppers?
The best date moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
It's the greatest date.
I had a 90s day.
I called it a 90s day.
So I didn't dress up 90s or anything,
but I did treat my life as if I were a 90s parent.
if I was in the 90s.
So basically my phone was only
able to be used for phone calls.
That's it.
I needed to go somewhere.
I didn't know where to go,
so I had to do the map
and then write down directions
on a piece of paper
and then remember it.
So I didn't use Google Maps.
I loved it, Dad.
And then I had to think of something
for dinner that night.
Normally I had something in the freezer
that I was like, what can I do with this?
Normally I'd just quickly Google
or go on TikTok.
I got up my recipe books
and looked up a recipe
and went back to doing that.
And it sounds so lame.
that I even have to do this
but it was the way that I didn't
use my phone at all. Sometimes I'm like
okay I'm off social media today but then I
still am going on my phone to like Google that
or go on Google Maps or
or text that person back or
message something or quickly
Google and think about that thing that present idea
I had and just been completely off it
was so good for my brain.
I couldn't believe how
great it was by the end of that I was regulated
I hadn't felt stressed, I hadn't snapped to the kids
there was so many things that I sat there
And I was happy to, I got so much more done, so much more done,
which makes me realize how much of a time waste of a phone is.
How quickly I can lose five minutes, ten minutes.
Without it, it really slows everything down, like even just the process of everything.
I mean, you having to look through like a cookbook.
I know.
But I had more time, so much more time.
And I, it was on it.
I couldn't recommend it enough.
And the fact that I took everything away rather than just like, I'm not going to go on social media today, really changed all of it.
It was so fabulous.
I love it.
I don't think I have looked at a cookbook.
I know.
years.
I know.
It was nice.
Who needs Edmonds when you've got...
TikTok or Google or Pinterest or, you know, you can find a recipe on anything.
Now, a lot of people use TikTok to find recipes.
I do wonder if cookbook sales have dropped off.
They must have in the last, like, 10 years with the introduction of TikTok and stuff,
because there genuinely is, if you've got a smartphone, no reason why you should be looking
at a cookbook unless you want like a specific Nadia Lim or something.
But even then, you can Google it.
And maps do you remember when I?
Our parents used to have to literally have a map book in front of them on a road trip.
And then they would cause these arguments because your mum would be flipping the map plate going,
no, it's this way, we're facing this way, and they go left.
And then he's like, well, you're already the map.
But oh, I miss it.
Yeah.
You're not allowed to use a phone, but yet your dad would have the map all over the steering wheel while he's driving on the motorway going.
Where am I go?
In these tiny little, you can't pinch it.
So you're trying to squint at these tiny little roads.
I tell you what, I don't know if you're like me, but I realize on Friday night,
said to my husband, I was like, something doesn't work well with my brain, this over-stimulation
of available information to me, to someone like me who always needs an answer, who always
just needs to quickly add something to the list or think of that. It was so blissful to
have what I am now calling a 90s day. Was there anything you really struggled with with it?
Wow, it was really just great. Because I completely cut it off. Oh, there were definitely
moments where I went to reach for my phone and I was like, look at that. But because cutting
the whole thing off together made it so much easier than just half cutting it off. I'm not going
to check my messenger today. I'm not going to do this.
It was, I really loved it.
That's a great idea for a reality TV show.
You drop a whole load of Gen Z and millennials in a random location with a map and a car
and they have to get somewhere.
I'd watch that.
The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
It's the greatest state.
Melissa did some art and she drew our Dan and we saw it pop up on Instagram and while
she was drawing it and she's a very clever artist and tattooist.
She said this about our Dan Weby.
And I think Dan's a very good role model for men and boys.
in New Zealand. It's so refreshing
to see a man who embraces
his femininity. Right.
No, keep it going because then she says I'm also
very, very masculine. Don't have time, buddy.
We've got easy money soon. Right. So have you
been inspired by Dan? And to do
what? Okay. Well,
we've got lots of calls, Dan, too.
Yeah, but they will be taking the piss. Morning, Belinda.
Hi, Belinda. What have you, what has
Dan inspired you to do?
Well, this is the first time I've heard about
this. And I did see him on
TikTok a little while.
So I saw one of, my husband
showed me of bread or something
like thumbs, but anyway.
But, you know, it's
not the size that matters.
Brian, I've hung up on her. I've hung up on her.
You have inspired her to embrace
small. She's having a go. She's not.
Sophia says I've been
inspired to consider the name Maverick for our
baby boy. There you go. You know what? That is my
favorite name. I tried to get it
across the line for my son George, but it wasn't.
working with Hannah and my wife.
This is a good.
Texan, I agree with you, Athena.
In Dan's defence, the people he'd be inspiring
and likely not the type with the confidence
to call.
Yes, thank you.
True.
Okay, what about Jessie?
Oh, Jessie.
Let's see.
Jesse, Jessie.
Hello, Jessie.
Good morning, Jessie.
Hi.
Dan's inspired me to put being in a play
on my bucket list.
That's amazing.
Yes, Arden is the theatre boy of the show.
Yeah.
You know what?
I don't want to spoil you.
dreams, Jessie, but I haven't been in a play
over 10 years. Sorry, we did
hook the musical. Oh, yes.
Up, up, up, up. Yeah, I mean, that was one hell
of a play, but Meg was the star. Have you
done it yet, Jesse, or is it still
too happen one day?
Well, I've got quite young children
so I don't have the time to commit to doing
it, but it's definitely on the bucket list.
You should. It's very good for confidence.
Yeah, and I've just been, like, looking at some of the
plays that are sort of around and what
they're, like, looking for.
Well, maybe we'll do hook the musical, too.
type of play that I want to be
and whether it's like, you know, as fun or if it wants to be
drama fills.
There we go.
Let's finish on Jessie.
Yeah, we'll finish on Jessie.
Belinda did say she wasn't making fun of you and your small peen, by the way.
She was actually really inspired by that.
And let's find one more.
Alex, what inspires you about Dan?
Oh, no, I'm not inspired.
I just want to play easy money.
Brilliant.
Okay, thank you.
The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
It's the greatest state.
Morning, Spian. Where are you coming to us from this morning?
Thank you so much, Megan.
Yes, good to you as well.
And thank you so much for having me.
Coming to you live from Hawaii.
I've been flown over here from the good people at Disney
to experience their brand new resort.
Oh, wow.
What a coincidence because Clint's over their toe.
Yeah, he is.
Yeah, Dom.
What are the chances?
It's so funny you say that actually.
I saw a man yesterday by the point.
pool and he had his shirt off
and he was flaunting his metrosexual
tattoos and he was
obnoxiously talking as well
and I thought to myself that guy is
either a wannabe dolphin trainer
or a closeted homosexual
and it turns out it was both
it was Clinton Randall
Yeah we've actually hardly heard from him this whole
trip no matter how many times we've messaged him
Can you like hunt him down for a chat if you are
out and about in the public? Well funny
you should say that JJ because
it's your lucky day. I've tracked
him down right now. Clinton Randall, morning. I'm Clint Randall and I'm the host of the Mars
singer. That's great stuff. What have your family been doing this whole time while you've been
in Disneyland? I ended up doing a huckard to a busload of people with my shirt off. Not one of my
finest moments. Oh, that does sound embarrassing. Is that the most shameful thing you've ever done?
I sing my vows to Jamie on our wedding day. Oh, that's a great one.
Sven, have you just recorded clips from things Clinton has said on the radio instead of actually finding him and talking to him?
Don't be stupid, Megan. Of course he's with me. Aren't you, Clinton?
My mom loves men with hairy chests.
Right. Okay. Back to you in the studio, I guess, guys.
Thanks, Finn. Thanks for that.
What's he doing there?
My mom loves men with hairy chest.
Oh, he's still talking.
All my best friends are Indian guys.
All my best friends are Indian guys. All my best friends are Indian guys.
All my best friends are Indian guys.
I see Godamoff.
Cut them off.
It's going to be gutted.
The best eight moments from Clint McGinn-Dan this week.
It's the greatest state.
What was the worst thing that you've had in your mouth?
Yeah, I had a lovely coffee out of my, whatever, these portable coffee cups.
Felt something hard in my mouth.
Put it between my teeth and I go, what's that?
Pulled it out.
And it's a full bug.
Just a full cockroach, some sort of brown, shell bug, all its legs.
I don't know if it died in my mouth.
I don't know if it died in my coffee.
And I haven't been able to be quite settled since, got as Sarah.
It wasn't me, but my sister.
Okay.
So she was sucking on a chub-a-chub,
and she was eating away halfway through eating it,
cracks the top.
I can't get the air bubble.
And it just, like, spewed out with ants.
No, no.
Spewed out.
No, I never read another chupp-a-chub.
Are you joking?
I didn't know that was...
305 years.
She's never had another one.
Yeah.
Dan, it's a chub-a-chub, not a chub-a-chub.
Oh, whatever it was.
You don't want a chub-a-chub in your mouth.
Maybe it would have passed on it.
Maybe he does.
Melissa, what was the worst thing you've had in your mouth?
I had an espresso machine.
And one day, you know, you pop the top open and put the pod in.
Like a, I'm going to say like a three-inch cockroach crawled out.
Three-inch?
It was massive.
It was one of the big mama ones.
And then we checked the back.
See that, Dan?
Three inches massive.
That's very, very big.
Thank you.
And then you look at the back where the water goes in
and there's probably like 500 babies floating in there.
500 baby!
Now Melissa, and then the dad crawled out as well.
Honestly, Melissa, this is a wake-up call for you.
And I hope it was.
The fact that you've got a family of cockroaches nesting in your espresso
makes you think, and I hope it did,
that you need to clean your house a bit more often.
No way.
And Gavin, what's the worst thing you've heard in your mouth?
I was in Brisbane, so nothing to do with New Zealand.
but I got a takeaway and got back to the coffee to work and gave him his and mine,
and I took my first sip, which I love that first sip of a flat white where you get a nice creamy taste.
I didn't get that.
I got something else in my mouth and I thought, that feels weird, took it out, and it was a green snot with nasal hairs through it.
And my colleague actually dry reached and threw up.
and I've had PTSD ever since.
Why?
There's somebody like lugied into the top of your coffee?
They snot-rocketed it in.
I couldn't believe it.
How bad a customer were you?
Have you returned your coffee?
The first one, because it wasn't hot enough or something?
Had it on the top of the cup, showed it to her,
and she was like, oh, I don't know what that is,
and flicked it off.
And I was like, oh, my God.
Last time I'll be going to that cafe.
Go away, Gavin.
The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
It's the greatest state.
I'd love to know what did they see when you handed your phone over to somebody
and so you'll never actually do that again.
I think you now have a rule after I was showing American guy Lake Tecapur and how beautiful
it is and then I forgot that I urinated into that lake and submitted that video to Scenic Piss,
which is on Instagram, millions of followers.
It's just a dumb, fun thing I followed.
Did they ever share it out of interest?
I don't know if they did.
I'm not sure.
Yeah.
Yeah, so yeah, what happened to you and you're like, now I will never give my phone
to anybody ever again?
Mine's my friend. She won't mind me saying this, I hope.
She had a guy around one time, and she'd gone to the toilet, and her laptop had died,
and they were about to watch a movie, so it charged her laptop.
But he needed her password.
So before she walked out the room, she put her password in, but it was dead,
and the last time it died, she was watching some adult fun stuff,
and he opened it.
And it was mid-video.
Oh, my nightmare.
And it was so bad, and she literally had to just, like, roll over laugh, like, crying,
because it was so awkward to the point where, like, he just got up and was like,
what are you watching?
Emma, why will you never hand your phone over to anyone again?
I tend to take lots of photos and videos of everything I'm doing.
And so, Crate Day last year, I took a video of my boyfriend trying to finish his crate.
I showed my family this video, and then they continued swiping throughout my camera roll.
And ended up seeing an R-raged video of him chasing me.
on a crate day.
So he obviously finished the crate then.
He finished the crate, but then they decided to keep looking
if he finished a second crate.
Okay, thank you for being cryptic enough.
Emma?
Yeah, it was almost difficult to be cryptic with that sort of situation.
Oh my God, Sasha says, I let my boss scroll through my phone
to look at our house that we just bought.
She kept scrolling and then saw pics that I'd sent to my partner the night before.
My mother-in-law was scrolling-looking photos of her grandson
scroll too far and sort of photo of my hemorrhoed.
Oh my God.
So many of these going through.
We have to get to easy money, but maybe we'll look at this again.
What's that?
What's that there?
Binching in, zooming out.
Stop.
Close up with Mars or something.
The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week.
It's the greatest state.
We have asked you to rate us out of 10.
The game is that you have to give yourself a number that you think would be within the margin of error of 0.5.
of what people think about you.
Yeah, and it's 100 strangers
that are raiding you on your looks.
We ask you to rate us on our looks.
I worry that some of you are trying
to be too nice to us.
Don't be nice.
I will say, Andrew, the guy that rated me a three.
I'd like to see a photo you, you oil painting.
We'll go to the calls, but in the background,
we have collated all of the
numbers, divided them
by the amount of people have texted, so we do
have the listener average of Meg, Dan and myself.
So, Jess, first off, what are you
rating, Dan? Dan's a seven
on video, but a nine
in person.
So you're just saying
I'm ugly.
At least you see me in real life.
That's better.
That's way better.
That's way better.
That's better actually.
No, absolutely not ugly.
Clint?
Eight to nine.
Meg.
Thanks, Jess.
Eight to nine.
Oh, so you'd say I'm a solid nine in real life.
Absolutely.
Solid none.
That's a head.
I've never had that before.
Good on.
You can live, Jess.
Jacob.
Dan.
I was Dan.
I'm sorry.
I went sick.
Oh, I'd like to see a photo you, Jacob.
I bet you're not great either, mate.
All right.
Meg.
I went seven
Clint
For Clint I went nine
Right
Oh well done Glenn
Okay
Should I go to the results
And find out who's dead or not
Put a star next to Jacob's name
Oh
No I put a cross
Down
Okay
I've just received a four
It's really a mixed bag
Yeah but
Christine's giving you a 9.2
I know but
Let's not go to her
Because she gave me
Oh no she gave me 7
That's right
She gave a 7 point two
Would we like to know
Where we sat with the average
Okay so
You've got to be within point five
of the answers we gave ourselves. Again, Meg, what did you give yourself? A 5.7.
Okay, I got myself a 7.9 and Dan, let's find out who's alive and who's dead.
Dan, your average is 6.3, you're dead.
Yeah, well, you're all like...
No more talking from you, you're dead.
Sick of all those ugly...
No.
Kick a fellow, I get away.
Keep shooting him in the foot at Zeme.
I'm already dead. Okay. Okay. Meg, I voted myself of 5.7.
I got an average of 7.4, I am dead.
So you deserve it.
Clint,
voted himself is 7.9, got an average of 7.4, survives.
You know what? Here's the thing that pisses me off.
I'm still the ugliest on the show, aren't I?
And he's still the hottest.
And he lives.
When someone's actually ugly,
maybe just give them a little bit of a higher score
just so they feel better about himself.
Wait, what was Dan's average?
People have gone, no, you're not that hot, Dan.
So, Meg's was the only one that was hotter than she thought.
And they still died.
It somehow survives.
Anyway, let's move on.
Steve's rated Mega 4.
You're texting.
All right, let's joke.
I think it's your personality.
