Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. The best eight moments from Clint McGee and Dan this week. It's the greatest tape. With you for the next couple of hours. Morning. Morning. Ahoi. A hoi.
Starting point is 00:00:14 Looks like. Made up currency. Made the highlights. Blame it on the Lutiel. Oh, yes. Nice. Segment. Nice.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Yeah. The Cook Box Warriors prank against our Dan. And Meg's muff off. Yeah, it was a big muff off. It happened yesterday, didn't it? on the show. And man, oh man, Meg, Sean. Also, did you have Muffin Break reach out to you off the back of that?
Starting point is 00:00:40 I, let me cheat my messages. No time for that. No, absolutely nothing. I've had absolutely nothing. And they're all franchises, so multiple people could have. Oh, right. Yeah, but then also, like, there's no point, say, one in the North Shore of Auckland looking after you, and then Christchurch is getting the shout out as well.
Starting point is 00:00:57 How tragic would it be if Meg was just the face of Muffin Break St. Luke's? The others are like, no, she's not associated with us. Just the sink looks more. Yeah, we don't want a part of it. All right, it's going to be fun if you hang out with us the next couple of hours. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest state. Giday, it's Brady and welcome back to another producer Zari.
Starting point is 00:01:23 The week started off hot with some not-so-wanted hugs. Just anyone running towards you with a hug. It must be an incredible feeling. If I ran towards you with a hug, Dan, you'd be laughing. Yeah, Jesus. Yeah, maybe it's something we do after the show. Or maybe when we go to the ad break. Can't confirm Megan Dan hugged during the ad break and Dan was jumping for joy.
Starting point is 00:01:43 And now it's time for some Clint Megan Dan out of context. Head through the hole. She had a gone my glutes. Like, went to town. I think that's my problem area, my ass. I would hate to see what hard was like. But I reckon if I had some teenage boys or some younger men, taking off my underwear.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Taking off my underwear. Settle down, Meg. Four Chazettes had a reason to be excited, though, as they took out our Flat Idol competition earlier this week. It's Flat Idol. And the Chazettes, why have we saved them to last? That might be because you guys are going to R&V for free! One absolute tune, and it's finally happened.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Another easy money winner. Thank you for that. Easy money. Give us 10 answers this morning starting with the letter G. All right, Mick's got question one. Here we go. Time starts at the end of the first question. A color.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Green. A food. Great. A sport. A drink. A part of a house. Garage. A kitchen utensil.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Greater. Something you wear. Garter. A dog breed. German Shepherd. An insect. A Gralpopper. A Disney character.
Starting point is 00:03:12 A goofy. A drink. Gatorade. Yeah! Wow done, Chrissy. That was a clean run. Enjoy the K. But next week I'm sure we'll be back to the easy money blunders.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Dan's found his new go-to meal for when his fridge is looking bleak. I didn't have lunch yesterday, and so I was like, I can treat myself because I've had nothing to eat since breakfast. So I crushed some super wines with cream. And? And ate it. Oh, much. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Sogy biscuits. Honestly. Honestly. All right, that's enough of that. And then Meg thought it would be a good idea to challenge Dan into doing a Barack Obama impersonation. Can you do a baraka accent, Dan? Not some, no. No, I've tried.
Starting point is 00:03:52 No. Okay. It sounds like Kermak. Oh, yeah. If like Kermit and Homer had like a baby. It's really specific. I can hear it in my head. Barack Obama.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Barack Obama. Germitia frog. That wasn't bad. Whose is better than yours? I'm Barack. Pretty good. And Meg's on the hunt for some new bridesmaids, even though she's happily married. If I was to get married today, you might be one of my bridesmen.
Starting point is 00:04:16 You look so. That's both flattering and insult. Pretty in a dress. Oh, bridesmen, not maids. It's okay. Dan's been trying out some sign-offs at the end of the show every day. So I thought I'd throw them in here just towards the end of the diary. But there was only three.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I couldn't find four. He's not very consistent with it. Here you go. All right, that's us. You're on your own now. It's been a great time being in your ear holes today. The pleasure has been all mine. See you tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Thanks for listening to us. Stay classy, San Diego. See you tomorrow. On that note, we'll wrap up the producer's diary. Have a good week in, you bloody legends. We'll catch you back on Monday and up the waz. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the Greatest Eight.
Starting point is 00:04:59 It's Clint Megan Dan's. Let's settle this. Let's settle this right now. Now, on the weekend, my wife and I met up with another couple. Friends of Hanners, okay, because I don't have any friends. So most of my friends are Hanna. You don't need to. Yeah, you guys get divorced.
Starting point is 00:05:12 You know you're going to have none. I've got no one. You guys are at, for me. Okay. And so we met them just at a mall. And we parked near where they were parking as well. And I actually saw them turn up. Now here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:05:26 When they arrived, she was driving, and he was in the passenger seat. What? And I said to Hannah, interesting, little bitch. That's terrible. No, terrible. Now, hey, and in all fairness, I will agree.
Starting point is 00:05:41 It's an interesting view to have, but I think it is a common view that when the guy isn't driving, if they're in a couple, they're traveling together, they don't have kids or anything. So they're in the front seat, both in the front seat.
Starting point is 00:05:53 The girl was driving. I just think it's unorthodox. And I just wanted to see if anybody else agreed. Now, Brittany, clearly you don't. You've sent a rather angry message saying, back at you, Meg, stupid thing to be even debating. I find it really, really pathetic. The guy is sitting in the passenger seat. I agree.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I think it's more masculine for a guy to not give a shit that his girl is driving. No, the thing is, Hannah drives. I don't give it. Really? Because it sounds like you're worried you're a little bit. No, no, no. It's just when I'm not. I see other guys.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Oh, but it doesn't apply to you. Like, for instance, if Clint arrived at work or something, we went out for dinner, and Clint arrived and Jamie was driving, I'd go, little bitch. Oh my God, Dad, it's so bad. I will, I'm joking. We're going to the phone. Brittany, give it to them. Brittany, come on, help me out.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I think Dan needs to get me to work story. Well, I wasn't at work, Brittany. See you later. She's gone. I love you, Britney. Latia? Good morning. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Good morning. Have I angered you as well? No, I just think it's funny. I was just thinking about. how often I drive because I like driving. And quite often my boyfriend's in the passenger seat, but I've got like what you consider like a boy racer car. So I've got a turbo MX5.
Starting point is 00:07:07 And quite often men will like look by and they'll give it a nod and then see the girls driving and my boyfriend just in the passenger seat. I think I would judge if a guy was driving an MX5. Sorry. Wait, do they look at the MX5? Do they have those headlights that pop up and look like eyes? The older ones are. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah. Yeah, I didn't see that on Bustin Furious. Hey, hey, I had a car with pop-up headlights when I was in my youth. There's a Honda record. And I tell you what, I have driven an MX5 before Latia, and it is a fun car to drive. I think she means more like it's a cool car. Like, then you would stupidly expect demand to drive in it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It's turbo. Like, you know, it makes a lot of power. Yeah. Now, look, I'm not saying it's a good view. I'm just saying if anybody agrees me, it's a view where you go, oh, that's interesting to see. No, it's a... Is it you? Going back to the 50s. No, they don't, clearly.
Starting point is 00:07:56 It's just you. People have texted saying, I agree with Dan. It's odd to see. Thank you, Matt. That's coming from a man. All right, just go to Mike. Mike, you actually don't like your wife being the passenger. Nah, it's too hard on my mental health.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Just let it drive. The best eight moments from Clint McGinn, Dan, this week. It's the greatest state. Clint McGinn Dan, I thought I might be the only one that does this, but then I saw this online. And it turns out, no, there is somebody else that has like a currency that they compare everything to work out if it's a good deal or not. I pay my kids $0.25 cents for every dog poop they pick up.
Starting point is 00:08:33 The problem is I've created a microeconomy where all labor or the cost of things is compared to dog poops. We'll be walking through the grocery store and my kids will be like, Dad, how many poops is this bag of chips? Dad, this chocolate bar, that's six dog poops. I was at Costco the other day buying groceries and I thought this isn't worth 1,600 poops. My son heard somebody say, kids nowadays don't know the value of a dollar. He's like, I know, four turds.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I love that. It's great, isn't it? And I think, do you know, I'm even thinking about it now, I like to, I think it's really good to teach your kids at maths. Yeah. I think it's really clever. And now, like, if my kid wants to...
Starting point is 00:09:08 And also that poor dog. Yeah. How many poop do you? You're like pushing for that dog to poo more. Yeah, you would be. I'd be overemium. If my son wants to buy an app or upgrade something on his switch
Starting point is 00:09:19 and it's like $12.99. and my wife sees that as stupid money because he's buying skins and things. I'll be like, well, that's just, that's one beer. Morning, Hannah. So I'm lucky I have a company car with fuel, and so I just relate everything to how much I'd pay on fuel. So get my nails done. Oh, well, that's only a tank of fuel.
Starting point is 00:09:37 So I kind of justify it with the money. Oh, AC, so you're not spending their money. I would have had to pay for that tank of fuel, and I don't have to. That's clever girl math, actually, Hannah. Problem is you probably go through a tank of gas once a week. So you only get to use that once a week, but I imagine you use it four, five. times.
Starting point is 00:09:51 I'm going to start using that as well. Not that I have a company car. Yeah. It's an incredible, Hannah, too. All these people like us that don't have a company car. I imagine it is something you probably take for granted while you have it. But that is a game changer, right? Huge.
Starting point is 00:10:05 No like upkeep for the car, no fuel costs. It must be incredible. Is it right, Hannah, they reckon if you get a company car, it's worth about 15 grand in income, at least, I would say. Yeah, definitely is. I mean, I live in the North Shore and work at the airport, So it's a big drive every day that I save a lot of money on. That's so great and so handy.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Even you don't have to buy a car. That's $20K. Update insurance, all that stuff. All right, Carly. What's your comparison when it comes to money? Mine's a little bit different. It's not currency so much. But whenever I have to measure something in feet,
Starting point is 00:10:39 I think about the size of subway foot long. Yeah. And if they go, okay, it's about 15 feet away, and you go, right, 15 foot long. Jeez, that's a lot of foot long. So that means I'm six foot long as high. Yeah. Is that incredible? You know what?
Starting point is 00:10:54 I think everybody does that to a subconscious level, to a certain degree. Like if someone says that's a foot long, I go, oh, so it's about a sandwich long. Yeah, yeah, about a sandwich. Yeah. Thanks, Carly. Jacinda says she compares everything the cost of parking outside work. And if she goes and buys the thing, she knows she's going to have to sacrifice walking to work a little further the next day. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:15 So if she had to, you went and got the new iPhone duo, she'd have to walk to work for. for 20 years. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever it is. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest eight. Clint McGahn. Don't blame it on the sunshine.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't blame it on the good times. Blame it on the Luteal. Yeah, we've started to realize that life can get away on you in that week and you can make a lot of crazy decisions, a lot of interesting decisions that you may not make in the other three weeks of the month, according to Meg, allegedly.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Well, again, and I said it was just my experience, and I just got a text saying, make sure you're not trivialising women's emotions and promoting the idea were unstable and unreliable. That's why I said it's my experience of it that I have had with these changes that I'm experiencing. And I found that my friends have also mentioned to me that they're finding these moments,
Starting point is 00:12:07 postpartum, like having moments of these rage, ludicial phases. Or like just frustration. I just, my fuse is shorter. So wait, when people make that joke going, oh, you're on your period? You're definitely. not because that's actually a chill week.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Well for me it's a chill week. It's different. I have a lot of pain during that week, physical pain, but I don't have any sort of like fogging of my mind in that week. But again, everybody's different. I just find it crazy that you feel like 25% of the month you could be making decisions that you look back on and regret. That's terrifying. That's hard for me. It's interesting to see though because there's a lot of women texting it. There's one person that said it was negative. A lot of other people texting and admitting in one person I'm going to quote them saying I am a raging bee on the Luteal
Starting point is 00:12:55 and I'll admit it and look I mean keeps life interesting it does yeah it must suck knowing that you can look back and go Jesus Christ I was unrational and horrible yeah I'm probably a bit too hard there The thing is though girls have an excuse guys don't And there is a lot of dudes out there that are also raging bees
Starting point is 00:13:15 Yeah yeah absolutely blame it on the Lutio hormones yeah Suzy, morning. Morning, Suze. Morning, how are you guys? Good. Good. What are you blaming on the Luteal?
Starting point is 00:13:25 I know. I felt the rage myself. I was coming home from work. My boyfriend had picked me up, and he said something wrong. I don't even know what it was now, but when we got out of the car, I swung my handbag at him. And then he said to me, let it all out, so I kicked him. Oh, God, no. And then the neighbour came out from outside and asked him.
Starting point is 00:13:48 he was okay. Fair enough. Yeah, fair. But, I mean, you can't even remember what it was, you know, you can't even remember what he said. No, it was just a bad day at work, and I was just probably just, yeah, venting. But at the same time, I was so mad.
Starting point is 00:14:03 The whacking someone with a handbag is a signature move of any lady over 70, hey? It's a great move. The classic, I'll get you with my handbag. It's a great move. I wish there was more research done with that. I think there would be something that we could have or that helps us that maybe we would.
Starting point is 00:14:18 We haven't looked into the research of like if there's a certain food or that I could eat. You know what I mean? I feel like there should be some research behind the help of this part. He's also texted her saying, wait till you're sick with your daughters. God help guy. Then it's everyone for themselves. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest state.
Starting point is 00:14:39 We have heard this ad playing for the last couple of weeks and we thought there might be something in this. Valerie Adams' GP has a bit of a flex and lets you know that if you were wondering if it was, her, it is her. Hi, I'm Dr. Eileen from Tent Health, and yes, I really am Dame Valerie Adams GP. I'd heard the rumours, but now she's confirmed. Yeah, thanks, Elaine. Well, celebrities have New Zealand or international. They still have to do normal things like the rest of us.
Starting point is 00:15:03 This text from a girl said, I sat in a toilet cubicle next to Helen Clark, ex-Prime minister, and heard her pizepadipater. Somebody said there's a Gandalf look-alike that's always at the Auckland Boxing Association. I don't know if that is a claim to fame. It's a look-alike. It's just an old guy, then. It's like this one. Someone said I queued up at subway behind Fergie from the Black IPs.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I was 80% sure it was like that. I don't know if this is another one where they think it's in, but I don't feel like he fits the mold. I have the same bubble tea cafe as Dave Dobbin. Oh, God. That's a stretch. He's not a bubble tea guy, is he? I don't.
Starting point is 00:15:45 I can never imagine. Dave Dodd would drinking a bubble tea Next time I'm going to have to ask him and get that person on Because you might just be doing a weird flex To get a shout out Knowing Dave, I reckon he went and thinking it was a milkshake shop And came out with a bubble tea And he would have been pissed off
Starting point is 00:15:57 He's like lightchy popping pills What the hell's that? Let's go to Georgia and oh I had to the edge Morning Georgia Good morning Good morning Which celebrity uses the same Whatever is you
Starting point is 00:16:08 I was at the same hotel As the President of Nigeria Wow Oh wow That's big That is. There must have been lots of security and stuff there, Georgia. Yeah, well, we thought there was a wedding happening because there was just suddenly all these really fancy dressed people.
Starting point is 00:16:24 But we spotted him. If I want to use the same hotel as the President of Nigeria, where do I have to stay? In Abuja in Nigeria. Right. Oh, right, okay. It wasn't like he was here and you were in a QT. That's actually really handy because Clint's going on holiday there next year. Yeah, no. He's great. He's run out of other places to go.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Sorry. Sorry. Okay. Um, oh, you go. No, you go. No, you go. My cousin is Lucy Connor, and she was in the Black Prince and won the rugby world cast in 2021. What supermarket does she use so the rest of us can go there if we want to have a weird claim to fame?
Starting point is 00:17:09 Honestly, I just kind of see her around these. Okay, so you don't know. They're useless. No, I mean, that would be a claim to fame if you were even going to the same chiropractor, same physio. Oh, Dylan goes, did you see that? Dylan goes to the same chiropractor as a New Zealand celebrity. What? That's wild. Morning, Dylan.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Good morning, good morning. All right, who's getting adjusted at the same place as you? Ryan Fox and Dan Carter. Wow, they must be a good chiropractor. Ryan Fox, the golfer, won a major title just recently. If he's going there, he brought the trophy in. Oh, did he? Brought the trophy.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Yeah, we got photos. Oh, that's cool. That's cool that he did that. Even though they're golf and rugby union, are you a league fan, Dylan? Massive league fan. whole carriage is Warriors Mancave. Oh, mate, do you want some more merch for it? Please.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Okay, well, Posty have given us a bunch of Warriors merch packs. Shop your official license, NRL. Warriors merch at Postie, selling fast. We'll send you one out. Thank you. You're welcome, man, Dylan. Yeah, how good. And remember, if you do hear the ads, it is her.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Hi, I'm Dr. Eileen from Tand Health. And yes, I really am Dame Valerie Adams, GP. And we'll finish with Jesse's text, which is the best way. I know a girl who knows a guy who is a friend of the cousin of Lord. The best eight moments from Clint McGinn Dan this week. It's the greatest eight. It's Clint Megan Dan's. Let's settle this right now.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Now on the weekend, my wife and I met up with another couple. Friends of Hannah's, okay, because I don't have any friends. So most of my friends are hands. You don't need. Yeah, if you guys get divorced, you know you're going to have none. I've got no one. You guys are at, for me. Okay. And so we met them just at a mall.
Starting point is 00:18:49 And we parked near where they were parking as well And I actually saw them turn up Now here's the thing When they arrived She was driving And he was in the passenger seat And you thought And I said to Hannah
Starting point is 00:19:03 Interesting a little bit That's terrible No Now hey and all fairness I will agree It's an interesting view to have But I think it is a common view That when the guy
Starting point is 00:19:16 Is it driving If they're in a couple, they're traveling together, they don't have kids or anything. So they're in the front seat, both in the front seat. The girl was driving. I just think it's unorthodox. And I just wanted to see if anybody else agreed. Now, Brittany, clearly you don't.
Starting point is 00:19:30 You've sent a rather angry message saying, back at you, Meg, stupid thing to be. Even debate? I find it really, really pathetic. The guy's sitting in the passenger seat. I agree. I think it's more masculine for a guy to not give a shit that is, his girl is driving.
Starting point is 00:19:48 No, the thing is, we know Hannah drives. I don't give it. Really? Because it sounds like you're worried you're a little bit. No, no, no. It's just when I see other guys. Oh, but it doesn't apply to you. Like, for instance, if Clint arrived at work or something, we went out for dinner,
Starting point is 00:20:01 and Clint arrived and Jamie was driving, I'd go, little bitch. Oh, my God, Dad, it's so bad. I will, I'm joking. We're going to the folks. Brittany, come on, help me out. I think day needs to get me to work, story. Well, I wasn't at work, Brittany. See you later.
Starting point is 00:20:15 She's gone. I love you, Brutley. Latia? Good morning. Good morning. Have I angered you as well? No, I just think it's funny. I was just thinking about how often I drive, because I like driving.
Starting point is 00:20:27 And quite often my boyfriend's in the passenger seat, but I've got what you consider like a boy racer car. So I've got a turbo MX5. And quite often men will like look by and they'll give it a nod and then see the girls driving and my boyfriend just in the passenger seat. I think I would judge if a guy was driving an MX5. Sorry. Wait, do the Lickx 5?
Starting point is 00:20:49 Do they have those headlights that pop up and look like eyes? The older ones, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I didn't see that on Fast and Furious. Hey, hey, I had a car with pop-up headlights when I was in my youth. There's a Honda record. And I tell you what, I have driven an MX5 before Lettier, and it is a fun car to drive. I think she means more like it's a cool car.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Yeah, it is. Yeah, it's stupidly expect demand driving it. Yeah, yeah, like it's turbo. Like, you know, it makes a lot of power, so. Yeah. Now, look, I'm not saying it's a good view. I'm just saying if anybody agrees with me. It's a view where you go, oh, that's interesting to see.
Starting point is 00:21:21 No, it's... Is it you? I, everybody fix it. No, they don't, clearly. No, people... People text through saying, I agree with that. It's odd to see. Thank you, Matt.
Starting point is 00:21:31 And that's coming from a man. All right, let's go to Mike. Mike, you actually don't like your wife being the passenger. Nah, it's too hard on my mental health. Just let it drive. I'm Clint Megan Dan this week. It's the Greatest State. I went to a really cool festival for the Auckland area.
Starting point is 00:21:53 It's called the Fairy and Pirate Festival. If you've given me three guesses, I reckon I would have got it. You would have got there? Yeah, well, I think I would have either got Fairy and or Pirate. But not both mixed. Now, that is one out of a festival. It's a hell of a festival. I've gone through the past few years.
Starting point is 00:22:07 And I want to really reiterate, I think it's awesome that this free event is put on for children because that's what it is, right? And the kids loved it. There was, I cry, most of the time. No surprise there. Seeing my daughters get really excited to see their favorite
Starting point is 00:22:22 characters walking this parade. What characters do you have? Outside of Hook. They did Ferry. Yeah, no, they did like all. They did the Mad Hatta was there. Oh, no, not at the Fairy Pirate Festival. They don't fit into either Fairy or Pirate. Matt had it was there. Spider-Man was there. Oh, no. Okay, wait, where does he go?
Starting point is 00:22:38 I'd say fairy because he bounces and swings around a lot. You had to put him somewhere. I think he used to be at the superhero festival. No, Batman was also there. But let me say, as I say. And I want to read it. I don't want to... I don't want to...
Starting point is 00:22:53 Shit on the fairy parade. Yeah, I don't. Because I really... In the end, it is a free festival. The kids loved it. But as an adult, watching it, I was like, I reckon Cal from the day show fits the Spider-Man outfit better than the guy did. It was baggy.
Starting point is 00:23:07 It was a very baggy Spider-Man outfit. Ariel had a full-sleeve tattoo and some facial piercines. Oh, I love that. I know. She was awesome, but I was like... She was 12. Clint. That's...
Starting point is 00:23:15 No, no. I was like, that's not really, real. Well, you should never sleep at it. Like, some of the Disney princesses were easily in their 40s to 50s. Like, it was, it was this, like, I don't know why the Manhattan was there. There were quite a few. Ursula was a drag queen. There was a lot.
Starting point is 00:23:32 And I was like, yeah, it was a lot going on. I have a bone to pick with the Spider-Man people that make the costumes. Make them more fitting. It's all, make them tight. I've never seen. And even the ones he's been, like, good money on. They're always too baggy. And no one ever looks like Spider-Man.
Starting point is 00:23:46 And it needs the built-in muscles. Yeah, it does. It's tight. Expensive costumes will have the built-in shoulder pads. Yeah, but then you look too bulky. I think no one has the body for Spider-Man, unfortunately. Yeah, Benson Boone does try a lot. Yeah, but even he looks cringe.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Have you noticed that recently how he's pretending to be Spider-Man on stage? Can he stop? Once I thought it was kind of cool, but it seems to be every night he's been Spider-Man now. Yeah, I've got the ick from Benson Boone, pretending to be Spider-Man. It's not ascent as we thought would be sane, to be honest. You just Google it. Just go on TikTok or Instagram and go,
Starting point is 00:24:15 Benson Boone Spider-Man on stage. It's cringe as. The parade was great, but I found myself truly going back from like in between. I was crying, looking at my kids, and then I started laughing because I looked at the parade. And I was like, what is this? It honestly looked like they'd lined up and gone, all right, here's a costume for you. And they're like, oh, I don't know if I could be Cinderella. It's like, you'll be it.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Did it cost? No, it was free, exactly. Okay, well, you get when you pay for it. I know, very happy. It's a great event. The best eight moments from Clint McGinn's Dan this week. It's the greatest state. It's international muffined.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Yeah, it is. The Muffin Man. The Muffin Man? Yes, I know the Muffin Man. Have you to know this about me? What is it that is like, it's up there with part of your personality? I'm a big fan of Muffin Break. Hashtag not Spawn.
Starting point is 00:25:04 No, I wish they were, but I've never received a single free thing for Muffin Break. It should be sentencing down. If Matilda Rice is the face of Colgate, Dan Carter, the face of Chemist's Wehouse, Meg needs to be on the posters at Muffin'Rae. Don wants to know if Meg is Mega Meg the muffin mastermind. And a good old-fashioned
Starting point is 00:25:23 muff-off. 10 questions. Can Meg prove her loyalty to the brand by getting a perfect score? Dan, do you want to do question one? Is this actually like Mastermind? You have a specialty subject and mine's muffin break. God, a legacy I'm leaving. If you get three from 10, not a fan, five, meh. You kind of like muffin break
Starting point is 00:25:42 once or twice a year. I think if you get eight, you're a I don't know if I'm going to get these. Ten, you need to have shares in the company. Yes, first question. What are three muffin flavours you can get at muffin break? Mixed berry, apple, cinnamon, caramel, madonna. She's got it. We'll pay that.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Right. What city, Meg, did the first muffin break in New Zealand open? Um, I believe it was Auckland. Yes, it was. Oh! She's good. Name two muffin bake. Frape flavors?
Starting point is 00:26:12 Vanilla. Mokka. She's only gone and done it. That's so dumb. Meg, you are having the time of your life. Do not lie. Now that I'm getting them right, I'm kind of... Okay, she's three from three.
Starting point is 00:26:25 What is the name of Muffin' Break's rewards program? Is it Muffin Break Rewards? Yes, it is. No one of might have got around a trick question. Oh my God. Oh, my God. Okay, here we go. They get harder from here.
Starting point is 00:26:39 On what date is New Zealand's $3 Muffin Day in 2026? That would be today, day. And the 18th How to see it! Okay, okay, go! How are that she going? In July, Megan, Muffin Break had a teddy bear's picnic day. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:54 What did you get free with your purchase if you took your teddy bear in store? I did this with my daughter, you got a free small hot chocolate. Yes! Just a reminder, this is not a paid-for presentation by Muffin Break. Next question. What about, okay? What decade? Did Muffin Break launch in New Zealand?
Starting point is 00:27:11 What decade? Nineties. Yeah, how does to do it? How many coffees? Don't drop the ball at the last. Okay. Hurdle Meg. How many coffees do you have to buy to get the fifth one free?
Starting point is 00:27:25 Five. Well, that was very obvious that one. Okay, these next two questions, if you can get them correct, you will be an elite mega muffin mastermind. I didn't even know I wanted this. List four malls that have a muffin break. Oh, that's hard, that's hard. Okay, St. Luke's.
Starting point is 00:27:47 St. Luke's. Yes, yes, yes. Okay, then Queensgate Lower Hart. Yep. Rick it in. Crash shit, you have one. She needs one more. She's breaching elite.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Someone's texting. Don't look at the text. Some of you or just send your answers. Coastland's paramedouma. She's done! Oh my God, the final question for a perfect score. One, fine, one, put it on. In the muff-off.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Okay. Oh my God, this is crazy. We've never seen a more perfect muff-off. What is the maximum number of muffins one person can buy on muffin breaks $3 $3 muffin day, which is today? That answer would be six boys. She's a mega muffin mastermind. She knows the muffin bag.
Starting point is 00:28:41 The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest eight. Clint Megan Dan, I thought I might be the only one that does this, but then I saw this online. And it turns out, no, there is somebody else that has like a currency that they compare everything to. to work out if it's a good deal or not. I pay my kids $0.25 cents for every dog poop. They pick up. The problem is I've created a micro economy where all labor or the cost of things is compared to dog poops.
Starting point is 00:29:05 We'll be walking through the grocery store and my kids will be like, Dad, how many poops is this bag of chips? Dad, this chocolate bar, that's six dog poops. I was at Costco the other day buying groceries and I thought this isn't worth 1,600 poops. My son heard somebody say, kids nowadays don't know the value of a dollar. He's like, I know. Four turns.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I love that. It's great, isn't it? And I think, do you know, I'm even thinking about it now, I like to, I think it's really good to teach your kids at maths. Yeah. I think it's really clever. And now, like, if my kid wants to. And also that poor dog. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:36 How many poofs are they? You're like pushing for that dog to poo more. Yeah, you would be. I'd be feeding him laxatives. If my son wants to buy an app or upgrade something on his switch and it's like $12.99 and my wife sees that a stupid money because he's buying skins and things. I'll be like, me, it's just, that's one beer. Morning, Hannah. So I'm lucky.
Starting point is 00:29:54 a company car with fuel and so I just relate everything to how much I'd pay on fuel so get my nails done oh well that's only a tank of fuel so I kind of justify it with the money I'm not spending that money I would have had to pay for that tank of fuel and I don't have to. That's clever girl math
Starting point is 00:30:10 actually Hannah. Problem is you probably go through a tank of gas once a week so you only get to use that once a week but I imagine you use it four five times. I'm going to start using that as well not that I have a company car yeah it's incredible Hannah all these people like that don't have a company car.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I imagine it is something you probably take for granted while you have it. But that is a game changer, right? Huge. Huge. No like upkeep for the car, no fuel costs. It must be incredible. Is it right, Hannah, they reckon if you get a company car, it's worth about 15 grand in income, at least, I would say.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Yeah, definitely is. I mean, I live in the North Shore and work at the airport, so it's a big drive every day that I save a lot of money on. That's so great and so handy. Even you don't have to buy a car. That for insurance is $20,000. Update insurance. All right, Carly, what's your comparison when it comes to money?
Starting point is 00:30:59 Mine's a little bit different. It's not currency so much, but whenever I have to measure something in feet, I think about the size of subway footlong. Yeah. And if they go, okay, it's about 15 feet away and you go, right, 15 foot long. Jeez, that's a lot of foot long. So that means I'm six foot longs high. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Is that incredible? You know what? I think everybody does that to a subconscious level, to a certain degree. Like if someone says that's a foot long, I go, oh, so it's about a sandwich long. Yeah, about a sandwich. Yeah. Thanks, Carly. Jacinda says she compares everything the cost of parking outside work.
Starting point is 00:31:35 And if she goes and buys the thing, she knows she's going to have to sacrifice walking to work a little further the next day. Oh, yeah. So if she had to go and got the new iPhone duo, she'd have to walk to work for 20 years. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The best eight moments from Clint Meg and Dan this week. It's the greatest state.
