Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. This is the Overthinkers podcast. Hello, welcome, Clint, Meg and Dan. Just finished our radio show. Time to hang out with you. I just finished Clint. I mean, I want to give way too much if he didn't listen because we're going to talk about it on the actual radio show tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:00:17 But can I just, Meg, let's give him a standing ovation. He created fire. Thank you, Jay. An incredible job. I don't think we need to explain it. He made fire. It was a bet with the boss. What was your genuine chances that you gave me of making fire at the start and during?
Starting point is 00:00:36 I thought if it was going to be done, it would be done in the first half an hour. And I thought I was going to give you, deep down I knew you'd do it. But I was keeping that quiet because I didn't want to be proved wrong. When we were an hour in, I was getting really fatigued. I was in a strange space that I don't normally find myself in. I look to me and go, I think I'm just bug it. I don't know if I'm going to be out of it. And he goes, no.
Starting point is 00:00:59 No. I, when I first, when you, honestly, when you first did the smoke, I was 100% sure you'd get it. Like that, from that moment, I was like, it's just a matter of time. He is so, you got smoke and embers. I'm like, it's, it will happen. I was worried because you only had 12 minutes left, but I knew you could do it. I just didn't know how long it would take. I was really impressed with you. If I could have blown some of that smoke up your ass, I would have.
Starting point is 00:01:24 I'd say someone up there because he was a loincloth. Yeah, so you could have got a clean shot straight up. All right. What are you got for us, Dan? We've got some mail again. Okay. Oh, that's it. You got mail. Postman, Dan, we like to call him.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Yeah. This is from Lisa Marie Hammond. Shout out to Lisa Marie Hammond. Oh, yeah. I see her name pop up around the socials. Yeah, we met her at Electricab. And she's a member of the Overthinkers' feedback on Instagram. You can join there as well.
Starting point is 00:01:54 She's wearing the cowboy hat. I was going to say she's the hottie and the cowboy here. Indeed. Stop flooding with our listeners, please. Oh, well. She says, hey team. got one for you to ponder on the Overthinkers podcast. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Now it's a Would You Rather, which we've done many times on the show, we don't shy away from Would You Rather? Would you rather know which person thinks about you the most or which person thinks about you the least? Most. You'd be the least. No, that could be anybody. They could just be, you know, like Bella from Texas.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Yeah, or is it mean people that you know, know. I think they know you. Yeah, and they just do not care about what you're up to. Never think about you. Oh, that's kind of interesting. I think it would be better if the question was, would you rather, in your, like,
Starting point is 00:02:42 tightened group of friends know who thinks about you the most or the least? Yeah, maybe we rephrase it. If you thought of your top ten friends, would you rather know out of the ten? I think I'm the same as Meg. I'd want to know who thinks about me the most. Meg, honesty. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Who do you think about the most out of Clinton and I? Like when you're at home, who would you find if you had to be at a gun to your head? Used to be Clint, and now it's you, Dan, because me and my husband talk about you. But here's the thing. When you find out, Dan, somebody thinks about you the most.
Starting point is 00:03:14 You don't know if they're thinking about you in a positive life or a mean life. And it'd be interesting to go, if you should see the times they think about you because it was about 9.30 at night, they're wanking over you, eh? I promise you. How many times, Meg, have you thought of, I would never thought of you whilst
Starting point is 00:03:34 rubbing one out. And I can say that with complete confidence. So not zero. I wouldn't imagine that Meg and I are like brother and sister so I can't imagine that she would be ever thinking about me.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Guns your head. Do you reckon if you could only think of Dan and you had to? Interesting question. You could get to the end? No. Yeah. I think you could.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Do you really think so? If I could only... No! I'd laugh. You hear me go, I'm going, I've got to this. You guys are like, Meg, you've only got two hours.
Starting point is 00:04:02 left. You've got to get this $1,000 for a listener. Come on. Jesus, that's what we're doing next week. And I'm like, oh God, rub one out. Think about tan, tan, tan, tan. And then I'd go, and you guys would go, no. She's laughing again. She's imagining me and Katie Perry costume. You are toying with your life here, but.
Starting point is 00:04:17 I don't know. I think part of me would also want to know who doesn't think about me as well. Yeah, because you could just cut them out. See you later. But I think I'd know. Who do you think about the most? I think I know who thinks about us the least. It's Clint Rand.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Yeah, I know, but I'd be interested to know. That's already. Yeah, 100%. Like, oh. Once we're our way from work, we've got. I got a lot off. Okay, I know you don't think about us much, Clint. I am agreeing with Meg there.
Starting point is 00:04:46 But if you had to, who were you thinking about the most when you're at home? I know it'll be Meg. No, I think it'll be you. He put you a toy car once because he was sad. Um. I was having a bad. Yeah, you haven't been sad in a while. Probably Meg, especially around 9.30.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Oh, that's Good. Very good. Clant. He's on fire. Thank you, Lisa Marie. That was really a good question. Brady said to me today,
Starting point is 00:05:14 he goes, is it just me or is this the most Friday-feeling Thursday ever? I was about to tell you to do, yes, the fart. Truly, just then. Yeah, no. Oh, man, I might not even show up tomorrow
Starting point is 00:05:23 because I'm, like, thinking it's Saturday. I should, I'll be here. We'll be here. I've done something really bad, so it's my brother's birthday, and he's just got a PS5. I was talking about it, because we've been playing on.
Starting point is 00:05:34 line. And I was like, I'll give him a send him a PlayStation voucher for his birthday. And he sent through his email. And I said, text him yesterday, because he didn't text me back about getting it and saying thanks. I was like, rude, little fucking. Yeah, fair. And I texted him. I was like, have you got that voucher? And he said, no. And so I was like, well, I sent it to you, Webby 492 at blah, blah, blah. Well, Gmail probably.com.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Oh, geez, I've just given it away. Anyway, and he goes, no, it's Webby, blah, blah, blah. Another email. so I've sent some person Oh no With that's a $150 Voucher for PlayStation He hasn't received it So someone's using it
Starting point is 00:06:12 Someone actually cashed it in Can you know you can't tell Now I'm going through the process Of trying to cancel it Yeah No it's really hard to do Do you want to play PlayStation with me this weekend There's a new fun game called
Starting point is 00:06:22 Go Big Planet or Big Walk Have you heard of it? Would you play with me? Yeah I'll pay on you Play with you Play with me? Yeah You just send me an invite
Starting point is 00:06:29 Yeah I have to send me what your I can only I'm only available at about 9pm. Until 930. Send me your PlayStation hand when you can because I'm going to play a cool
Starting point is 00:06:40 It's a game called Big Walk and you can only do it with other friends online. If anybody wants to add me, I'm WRC McCray. Pardon? Who's that? World Rally Championship. W.R.C. Mick. MCR-R-A-E.
Starting point is 00:06:54 There you go. That's Dan's Handel. I'll send that to my next. Don't all rush there. It's from Dan's Handle for Big Walk. We'll play. This might be a weird thing to share on the pod maybe. I was about your hemorrhoids again.
Starting point is 00:07:08 He's been banging on about that, man, didn't he? I don't have those. Jesus, I did a radio show with another guy. Well, like years and years ago, right? Bjorn. Yeah, yeah. Well, okay, sure, fuck. And he's stepped away from on here.
Starting point is 00:07:30 So I left Life FM and then I went to my FM. him and then I've been at the edge about 10 years. And he hung up the headphones, so they say, and has gone to a different role, management, within the company. So that's cool. He's done his, oh God, probably coming up 20 years on here. And would he be the best, like, co-host you've ever had? Well, this is the reason why I thought maybe I don't read this
Starting point is 00:07:55 because you're going to be like, oh, mo, fucking, you got you love it more than he. You love us. That's 100% he's thinking about me then. See, ding-a-ding, he thought about me. fucking whiny little bitch Meg that he can't talk about my other friends without getting a compliment for Meg Classic, is that what you mean?
Starting point is 00:08:11 Yeah. No, I couldn't be there on the last day because they brought all the people back who had ever worked with. But obviously a lot of them aren't doing their own breakfast shows. So I said, look, man, I can't come in. I'm doing my own show. I'm on a better show now.
Starting point is 00:08:24 But I'll send something in. Can I read what you said? Or is it audio? No, well, I thought I could read you the poem. You wrote a poem for him? What the fuck? Where is my poem? Honestly.
Starting point is 00:08:36 I'll get you a poem. I'll get you a poem. I've got to be careful what I play underneath the chat because copyright and stuff and they're always getting angry. I'm getting ready to get angry. Go on. See how it is. Other co-hosts.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Okay. So this is for as my old male co-host, beyond. And I'll read out, but the thing was, I thought I might get a text from him being like, hey man, really appreciated what you wrote. Thanks, man. So he either his co-host who nagged me
Starting point is 00:09:03 for some sort of message didn't play it on air at all or he did play it and obviously it didn't hit the way that I thought it might have Okay so you read it out here Yeah so I need some sort of generic Nice music that's copyright free
Starting point is 00:09:19 I'm gonna pretend it's about me Yeah that's what I was gonna say Maybe we could just pretend it's about us What can I use? Yeah oh thank you Clint Yeah okay so pretend We can put together the longest that of anyone Why don't I just provide some music underneath it
Starting point is 00:09:30 Okay I'm just gonna tell I'm just type in emotional copy write for your music. And I'm going to play the first thing that comes up. So I can stand on mountains. You left me up. This definitely isn't getting painted. So I can stormy seasome. Let's go with this.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I have strong. Okay. I don't know if this is going to fit the moment. Also, you're not going to get some of the gags because as a show, we used to do this bit on here called Steal the Suckers. I know. I'm trying to make it about me, so I'll make it up. So there's a few references
Starting point is 00:10:15 to features we did on the air. Okay, fuck. And buildups. Jesus. I want to hear a poem, mate. Fuck. Okay. Jesus. This is weird music. It's not going to love. Oh, get on with it. Oh, no, that's all right. It's going back down.
Starting point is 00:10:29 That's not it. That's true this one. Okay. This is way too soppy. Anyway, Bjorn, what a ride that we started out together. Fifteen years ago, and for some that might feel like forever. But looking back, it doesn't seem all that long that we're on the map for Bjorn Storytime or singing backwards in song.
Starting point is 00:10:51 That's no sense. Clinteresting things and fake celebrity chats, questionable accents. Wow, the suckers, they can steal that. He would have got that. You don't get that. I knew it back then, and today no one needs to be convinced. You're an unbelievable talent that I've missed ever since. You've missed ever since. We'll go fucking back to him then.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Why don't you just go? Just go, we don't need you. Go back and pray at life again. I'm allowed to miss people whilst having other amazing people. 15 years. Like, ever since means every day goes, fuck, I wish I still there. Wouldn't it be cool if he was on the show with us? Fourth person.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Another man. God, we already talk over each other. Anyway. But how lucky was I to have a front row seat? to the man whose impact and legacy is the opposite of discreet. You are sharp, you are clever, but most of all fun.
Starting point is 00:11:41 You are the definition of unique, you are one of one. Unlike me, and I. I guess we're one of two. A broadcaster's time in the seat can be fickle, but not when you stand out like you do, Mr. Brickle. This is last name. Thanks for confirming that.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Those listening will agree, we all feel like your mates. And today the airwaves have lost one of the greats. He's not dead. The brightest crayon in the box. Oh, and sharp as a knife.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Oh, wow. What are we? Chop liver. Love you, my bro. Alongside you, I have the time of my life. Big and I, just a pair of punts.
Starting point is 00:12:16 With the time of your life. The time of your life. What has it been downhill ever since? Great. Well, to be honest, he did try to make fire on radio today. That was fucking boring. Fucking fart into the microphone.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Did you do that with him? Jesus, we had to do that. No, God would have said no if he'd done that. Yeah. But don't you think that would have... Don't you think that would have... Don't you think they would have... Nah, he hates you.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Just like we do. Like a text. Like, hey man. Shut for that. He's annoyed it yet. He's like one of those people that think you're good and small dogs. That was one of the shittest poems I've ever heard.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Fucking crap. Yeah, it was a shit poem. The music was wrong. I want my safety pin back. I couldn't even pretend it was me. Okay, I'm going to write a poem for Meg. No, I do not want you a petty poem. I'll have one.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I'll have one. Yeah, I'll have one. Shot gun. All right, I'm going to write one for Dan. Oh, no. Shay, Meg, I get a pity poem, dumb bitch. God, call me that. I'm sorry. Dan's already had a poem.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Mem I wrote him a poem, but you weren't here. Meg, and you sent Meg message to us. Probably was like... Why don't you go to, just go fuck each other? I did. You guys wrote each other both a poem. Mom was for Father's Day. Mom was like, oh, my brother, I love you.
Starting point is 00:13:21 And I just sat there like, fucking losers. Should I read out Clint's poem? I've still got it. Where's my poem when I gave birth? Where's my poem when I gave birth? Where's my poem when I... Okay, you can just pretend it's Meg. Okay, hold on.
Starting point is 00:13:31 I need to find it. Oh shit. This is on the spot. Get it. Get it. It pisses me off. Where the fuck is my poem from both of you guys? You cried over each other's poems.
Starting point is 00:13:39 You buy him little toy trucks when he's sad. I nearly died when I gave birth. That would have been the last day on earth with Megan Mansour, and you guys were like, oh, okay. See you in six months. Here we go. Okay. Okay, Meg, I'll write your poem.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Oh, it needs audio. But anyway, I got, okay. Father's Day is this weekend. And this Sunday, I'll be celebrating. My second Father's Day as a dad. We'll probably replay this next week. Oh, this is your poem. To me?
Starting point is 00:14:03 Yes. What were you thinking? I thought you were reading the one I wrote for you. Okay. No, this is for you. Oh, go on. And I had no idea. I didn't know what he was doing here, Mick.
Starting point is 00:14:11 What a joy it is to be a parent. It has its hard days for sure. But there's no better feeling than being a dad. Like many people, it seems my parents separated when I was very young. I'd see my dad occasionally. But it was my beautiful mum, Jules, who raised my brother and I and did an amazing job. Growing up, and especially when you become a parent yourself, You see other parents that inspire you to make you a better dad as a result,
Starting point is 00:14:37 whether that be your own mum or dad, grandparent or friend. That person for me is you, Clint. Boring. I was like, what the... I know we joke and give each other crap on the show all the time. Yes, Clint has teeth whiter than the National Party Convention, and he has more tans than I've had hot dinners. but in all seriousness, when I think of Clint,
Starting point is 00:15:05 the first thing I think about is an incredible dad. Even before we had George, I knew if I could be half the dad Clinters, I would be winning. Nobody, shut up. Dad's talking about me. I'm talking about it. I'll write one for you, me too. Nobody adores their kids along Clint.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Whenever he goes, wherever he goes, Cam and Ty are not far behind. Why? because they think the world of you, Clint. I'm sure Cam and Ty think it's normal to have a dad as a dedicated fun and as caring as you, but I know for one it's much more rarer than we think. Our parents are the main...
Starting point is 00:15:44 Oh, fuck, it's long, isn't it? Are the main influence in our lives, and especially in those formative years. And I can think of no better role model for New Clint. So there you go. Anyway, it goes on and on. Okay. But there you go.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Well, I actually wrote a nice thing for... It's funny we've had two mothers days. There's nothing. Okay, I wrote something for Dan for his birthday. It was his birthday. Oh, it's his birthday? When was mine? You guys forgot it, that's right.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Oh, you're on Matley. No, I wasn't. I was here and you guys forgot my birthday. Oh, no, that was a sheer year. Dan, I knew he was the guy who sat behind the glass on a different show to mine. Three years ago, I didn't know that we would help each other shine. I believe you were a hidden talent and I was excited for people to see. but I was also in for a surprise
Starting point is 00:16:31 and just how good you truly were one of the best that they would be on air and off you make people laugh more than I have ever seen no one is like you Dan how lucky are we to have you on our team your humour is unmatched your mind creative and inventive
Starting point is 00:16:51 the front row seats we get to watch you each morning well what a privilege I now know that you are I now know you as one of my best friends, not just someone that I work beside. One of my best friends. I can't believe they pay me most days just to watch you shine. I've heard it said people come into our lives for a reason. You've come into ours for more than one, it seems.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And in the words of a great song, one of your favorites, so you'll know the one I mean, it sings about because I knew you. But don't worry, this is not the end. But do know whatever way our story goes, that you have rewritten mine, by being my friend. Oh, is this for his birthday, was it? For all that you have given me, I am your debtor.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Happy birthday, Dan, because we now know you, we have been changed for the better. And then I went into, like, the wicked song, Change for the better. What the fuck happened to you too when Ash was here?
Starting point is 00:17:45 We've got a love. Like, honestly, I saw those. I don't know. Like, what? I bring out the worst in your both. You can't call it a circle jerk because it's more just like a back and forth.
Starting point is 00:17:56 No, I've got one for me. Play the music again. No, I don't want you're dumb. I'm the least loved on the show and I know it. Meg, you're a legend. That much is true. You're reading lyrics. Life's always better when I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:18:13 Is it like when you wrote Chachachin-D for my maternity card? You bring chaos, the laughs and the endless tea. And somehow you don't spill much of my music. it on me. So here's to Meg, one of the best around, the kind of good mate that's hard to be found. Dan, is that chat TBT again?
Starting point is 00:18:37 Oh, gorgeous. Yeah, remember that time that I found out that Dan wrote in my encouragement to give birth from chat GBT because he couldn't write anything for me, but he wrote Clint a whole fucking Father's Day poem. Do you remember when dad... That was Chat Ghibit as well. I just wrote
Starting point is 00:18:57 something like, I was like, Clint, he's a friend of mine, he's a good dad, can you write me something that popped out for Father's Day. So, you, Meg, what was it? Was it in a card? Where was it? Yeah, yeah, my husband asked for some encouraging words for my best friends, apparently, and to help
Starting point is 00:19:13 me give birth to push, and Dan got Chachybti to write it. No, but I wrote some other personal stuff at the end that wasn't Chatsy. You wrote my name, Meg. And wait, and so your husband read out Dan's Chachybt to encourage you whilst in labour. Yeah, whilst I was in the fits of labour. That's funny, eh?
Starting point is 00:19:29 Yeah, isn't that hilarious? Thoughtful, though. Okay, let's mark a day. We'll do like poem day. I'm like a while from now. And Dan and I have to remember the day. And we have to have a poem for you and we'll surprise you with it. Because your birthday's gone.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And Christmas is away. Yeah, he's got about that. It would have been quite convenient to be the birthday. Yeah, the poem days are going to fucking day. Let's do poem day. Pick a day. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Okay, fine. I want my poems on, I don't have a calendar. We have to try to remember the day. Yeah. Are we allowed to write it down? in our diary? I want no reminders to them. No reminders.
Starting point is 00:20:05 To the boys. Yeah, no reminders to the boys. If I give them a date, no running it down. I will remember the date and you either turn up with a poem or you don't. All right, I want my poem on the 23rd of October. You're going to have to remind me, Clint.
Starting point is 00:20:18 I'll never remember that. Fuck. I think I'm in Africa. Oh, fuck, I'm going. Oh, so I'm the only one that writes the poem. I'm in Africa. I can send you something to read. Why am I hospital past the fucking poem?
Starting point is 00:20:29 Where is the hospital pass? Well, because it's, I want to do it on your birthday. Do it on my birthday. When's that? Next year. What day? No, wait, no, wait. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:20:41 I leave for Africa the next day. Oh, good. Yeah. Okay. Can we go? Can I please go? Yeah, okay. 23rd of October.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Lock it in the head. Okay. Not in the diary. 23rd of October. We got it. Oh, do not put in the diary. Overthinkers. Rover.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Music, radio, podcasts.
