The Edge Breakfast - OVERTHINKERS | 105 | The Satisfyer Pro Mix-Up

Episode Date: August 21, 2026

Episode Summary Today we tackle the trauma of retail changing room lighting, catching hideous mirror reflections, and why everyone lies when asked "how are you?". Things take a chaotic turn when Meg r...eceives an edited Instagram DM asking for a "pleasure toy" recommendation she swears she never made. The crew finishes off by calling out a massive 14.5-minute voice note and Clint trying (and failing) to deliver a "cute" studio fart. Bulleted Breakdown Changing Room Horrors & Distortion Mirrors: The team dissects store lighting at H&M and Hallensteins, gym "slimming" mirrors, and the tragic feeling of catching your reflection and seeing a "podgy little pig". Radical Honesty & The 7-Day Challenge: Clint arrives at the studio claiming he's "gassy," prompting a debate on fake "I'm good" greetings and inspiring Dan to answer every "how are you?" with "positively fantastic" for a week. Benson Boone’s Zero-Like Flop: Clint gets roasted for leaving a late "Mum, watch me!" dad comment on a two-week-old Benson Boone Spider-Man backflip video—and netting zero likes. The Sex Toy DM Mystery & The Hits Crossover: Meg receives a strange DM asking about a pleasure toy she allegedly recommended on air. The crew calls up Megan from The Hits to check if it was her—uncovering a Satisfyer Pro debate—before Meg realizes the fan was actually referencing a luggage review video from years ago. 14-Minute Voice Notes & The Fart Finale: Meg calls out listener Liam for sending a ridiculously long 14.5-minute voice message, followed by Clint attempting a "cute" mic fart that completely backfires.

Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. This is the Overthinkers podcast. Hello and welcome to everyone listening or watching. What percentage of people do you think are watching the pod? I think it's a smaller percentage than the ones that are listening, but I do appreciate you if you're watching us with your eyeballs. Good on you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Give me your best smile then, Dan. There you go. There's a bit of a smile for you. Nice. Yeah. I've never been good at smiling, and you've hammered that home to me, Meg, many a time. by saying that I don't look good in photos. You're no good in photos, Dad.
Starting point is 00:00:33 No, you're good at smiling. She said you look better in real life than you do in photos. Exactly. He's taken that completely twisted it. I've got a different view of myself than what I see in photos. Like sometimes I'll be walking and I'm really feeling myself. I'm like, oh yeah, fuck, I feel hot. I look hot.
Starting point is 00:00:47 And then I look across and catch a glimpse to myself on a reflection. And all I see looking back is a podgy little pig. Yeah, there's no worse feeling than catching your reflection in a window or a car window. are also distorted pretty badly. You know some shops? I don't know if this is a thing. I think we've spoken about it before on the main radio show,
Starting point is 00:01:05 where you'll go and you'll get changed in a changing room. And sometimes it happens with Hellenstein's in New Zealand, but there's lots of shops. And they make you look good in the mirrors. It's like they're slimming mirrors. The gym ones. I honestly, God, I always look bigger
Starting point is 00:01:18 in the gym mirror than I do anywhere else. And then you go out, like you try and some clothes, you go, God, these look good on me. Or is in the lighting. Yeah, maybe it's lighting. I have a tactic. If I ever opened a clothing store, which I never would.
Starting point is 00:01:29 One of the things I would put the most money into is making you look good in the changing rooms. Of course. Because I have been to so many where I'm like, what is this? I look hideous. No matter how good the outfit would look. It's like overhead lighting.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And you're trying to step forward or back on the mirrors. It's so obvious. Why don't they do that? It's so obvious. You go to these expensive stores and it's a $200 dress. I'm like, I look like fucking shit. I've got like it's awful. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:01:54 For fluorescent overhead lighting. And it's the most obvious thing to do. is make us look good in the mirrors. Yeah, I'll go home and be like, well, I look crap in real life. Fine, I've still bought it. Oh, I'd rather the opposite. I'd rather them have just average mirrors. So then I go, well, I don't look good in this.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Because I'm always disappointed when I get home. And I go, I look way better at the shop. Yeah, I know, but you bought it. Exactly. But I shut it off. As a store tactic. Yeah, but as a store, they want you to buy. I just have no idea why they don't put in money to their dressing rooms.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I went to H&M the other day, and it's another one. It's like, why? It would not cost much more money to change the line. from above your head to like in front of you. Do you guys want me to check? It's being marinating now for about four hours. Should we check it? Go on.
Starting point is 00:02:39 That's disgusting, by the way. It's actually disgusting that you just said... What do you mean? Check what? Marinating his fart, Dan. No, no, no, no, no. My Benson Boone comment. Oh. No.
Starting point is 00:02:50 This is morning. When you walked in, Dad said, how are you? You said gassy. Yeah. Honestly, the first thing, we walked out. I hadn't seen him for 24 hours. He walks and I go, how you go in today, bro?
Starting point is 00:02:59 And he goes, gassy. So I thought you meant barinating. Before we go to the Benson bit then, while we're on this, people should be more truthful about how they're feeling when people say, how are you? Because everyone goes, yeah, good. Even if they're not, it's like, pick a word that's more descriptive about how you might be feeling. Be unique with your answer. I'm the opposite, Clint.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I will always, somebody will ask me, and I get so fucking mad that I don't just say good. Because I go, I'm all right, yeah, a bit tired. I had this last night. I know, right? I know, I know. I'd rather you're gassy. I know. So I just say good now because I'm normally too honest and it's depressing.
Starting point is 00:03:35 No, but you say good, but you go, good. Do I? Yeah. I do it as well. I'll come in and see someone and I'll be like, how are you going? You're good? And I'll be like, all right. For the next week, between now and this time next week for the podcast,
Starting point is 00:03:49 every time somebody asks me, how are you? I'm going to go positively fantastic. But don't sigh before it. No, I'm going to go, oh my gosh, I am. so great. Thank you for asking. Okay, cool. Do yourself a favour. If you haven't seen the Doa Leeper New Rules video. That's from about 12 years ago.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I know. We've got this new feature that when we're playing music, we get the music video played on the TV. Damn. Anyway. She stumbles here a little bit from memory or maybe it would just past it. Well, and then they didn't reshoot it. No, they didn't. It's funny because it was like early, early on. It was her first single, so she didn't have much money.
Starting point is 00:04:22 And I'll never forget it. She like waivers. It's really cool, eh? Yeah. That's a great music video. this one. Anyway. Okay, so Benson Boone had posted a video of him putting on like a Spider-Man mask.
Starting point is 00:04:34 And then he does this really cool backflip into Spider-Man into Super Hero Pose. And then he does Spider-Man thing as he leaves the stage and disappears and falls somewhere into the abyss. And let's be honest, the video was posted on the 9th of July. So we're talking two weeks ago. So Clint's late to the party here. Yeah. And so anyway, I've gone and posted.
Starting point is 00:04:56 This is the adult version of Mum, mum, watch me. Mom, are you watching? Like just making everyone watch them Do Spider-Man moves as an adult. Yeah, right. Okay, so how many likes has it had? I think because you were late to the party,
Starting point is 00:05:09 I don't think it's had any. Okay, what do you guess is? Zero. Maybe I need to refresh it. Do I need to refresh it? Yeah, it looks like Meg might be right. Yeah. I've had a DM that we can talk about.
Starting point is 00:05:28 No, of course not. Because it was a shit comment. It's a shit comment. Today on the Overtinkers podcast. We're overthinking. Right. You boys will love this, I think. I just got a DM from somebody.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I'm not going to say their name. From a man, though. I believe. Yep, a man. Edited. So he's gone back and rewritten this. But it says edited? I love that.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I always click the edited button. Oh, can you click it? Yeah, so when it says it's being edited, you click the edited button and it shows you what they originally put before they changed it. Really? Most times, yeah, most times in a text. I don't know that. Most times it's only somebody who's spelt the word wrong.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah, yeah, that's always me. But sometimes it's because they haven't liked, especially if it's a long message, how it felt or sounded. So they've gone and edited it, and then you can click on the original. God, I sent something recently that I reread it after I'd sent it and it was too harsh.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yeah. And so then I rewrote it, like edited it before they'd seen it, that's the perfect crime. But they can see. Where it says edited, just click the button. So I can see the edits. So do you want to hear the edited version or the non-edited version.
Starting point is 00:06:30 We'll do the edited version first and I can tell you what they're actually. Yeah, and then we go back. Cool. You guys can help me out here because I, for the life of me, cannot, I don't think this is, I think they've got mistaken identity.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Hey Meg, sorry this is a bit of an awkward question. I remember a while ago on the radio, you talked about a pleasure toy that you were using. Sounds like you. I don't think it does. I don't use them, which you found amazing. Do you remember what it was?
Starting point is 00:06:57 I wanted to buy it for my wife, for the life of me. I can't remember what it was called. Anal beads. No. Yeah, yeah. Extra long anal beads. The edit was, I remember a while ago on the radio who talked about a sex toy. So instead of sex toy, he changed it to pleasure toy.
Starting point is 00:07:11 So I actually think he's genuinely asking because he changed, he sat there and wrote sex toy and he's like, that's too much. So then he changed it to pleasure toy. So I think he's genuine and not being weird, but I don't think, I mean, I can't have talked about it because I don't use them, truly. Sure, you do.
Starting point is 00:07:28 I don't. We went to Taylor Swift and you brought your bag in and you had three daughters. Yeah. True. I do have them, but I don't use them. Definitely not in a way that I'm like, oh, guys, I used your sex story last night. I have to tell you what it was because it's amazing. Like, when did I do that?
Starting point is 00:07:44 No. Never? No, to be honest, I can't remember you ever reviewing a sex to work on the show. I'm not. Are you sure it wasn't the best. All right. Shut up. Because your husband said the last time he used them, you look like a female version of that Woody toy where you pull the wrong.
Starting point is 00:07:57 where you pull the rope and then let it go. Yeah, she says different things when you pull up. Usually it's higher. Somebody's high in the waterhole. I've ridden back, hey, that was not me. I haven't seen it. He certainly said the reply. Hey, that was not me.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I haven't spoken about pleasure toys on here. Might have confused me with somebody else. Ha ha, sorry. Do you remember when it was said? Maybe he means Megan from like the Hits or Nash. Should we call Megan from the Hits and see if she's talking about sex and pleasure goes up? You've got her mail by mistake.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Let's do it. Do we have her number? Yeah, I don't. Damn it. Someone will have her number. I have a number. We could call Ben and ask if Megan's there. Okay, John me to get Ben on.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Yeah, let's do that. Should I call him on my phone so then he'll know it's me? I love Megan. She'll be a good spot. He doesn't answer blocked numbers. Oh, doesn't he? No. Who's got Johnno's number?
Starting point is 00:08:49 I've got Ben's number. Have you got Ben's number ending in two, three? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, should I call him? Yeah. Okay, I'll call him on my phone. They might still be on air
Starting point is 00:08:57 Is that, can you hear that? You can pass her over to Meg, to me? Yeah. Do you think he's going to answer? No, I don't think he is. He's going to scream. Funny, no, you're funny, then I'll call him and see if he picks up. Oh, yeah, but then he'll go, oh, there will...
Starting point is 00:09:15 Your call has been... Oh, that little screening little bastard, eh? Okay, ready? Okay. Now he's going to be really aware. Surely they're not still on here. It's exactly, like, the show would have been finished. He better pick up.
Starting point is 00:09:31 We're hanging out tomorrow. Yo. Oh, piss off, Ben. Why did you screen my call and answer Clint's? Well, come on. Do I need to answer that? He's not going to be work-related if it's Dan. Ben.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I didn't even know you called, to be honest. I just thought, see, someone really wants to get a hold of me. Ben, we don't even want you. Is Megan there? We don't have her number. Oh, yeah, I can pass her to me. Thank you. Put her on.
Starting point is 00:09:59 It's good, Meg, and Randall. Hello. Hi Meg. I am wondering if I'm getting your mail. I just got a DM to my Instagram that said, hey Meg, this is an awkward question. I remember a while
Starting point is 00:10:13 ago on the radio you talked about a pleasure toy that you were using, which you found amazing. Do you remember what it was? I wanted to buy it for my wife, but the lie for me I can't remember what it was called. I have not, are you there? I have not talked about a pleasure toy on
Starting point is 00:10:29 here recently. Was it you? confused us again. That's a great way to be confused. It's usually just like very boring male. I believe it was just a satisfied program. What was you?
Starting point is 00:10:50 Norny-lid. You so much, Megan, I'll let them know. Okay, great. It's funny, Megan, because Meg's famously said she doesn't like them and they don't satisfy her. I don't like the satisfier plug. That's interesting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:09 To eat their own. Yeah. Different vaginas, different strokes and stuff. Anyway, see you later Oh, we go All right Well, you have a fun weekend Megan
Starting point is 00:11:19 I will, I will take skies Okay, tell the boys we say hey And stop kicking our ass in the ratings Please I don't know Have a good one babe Okay, see ya Bye
Starting point is 00:11:34 God, she's one of my favourite Megan's She's top two I've just messaged I've just messaged him So he said Oh, I can't remember I think it was a while ago You guys had this
Starting point is 00:11:46 Oh, the luggage bag. Oh, no, that was me. Oh, Jesus. Oh, no. What the fuck. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:11:57 How did Megan Bubbers for no reason? No reason. Isn't that coincidental you both talked about your favorite sex toys on here, though? But I don't think I did. He's talking about the luggage video. Wow, that was years ago. Is he, like, behind the scene? I mean, behind the, like, catching up on old podcast or something.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Oh, my gosh. The most insane chat that I've talked. what this man about. That was good fun. Megan's a good sport. Yep. Okay. Should we do the thing and get on with it?
Starting point is 00:12:24 Is there anything else that we need to address before we move on? No. Is there anything else we need to do in the studio? Can we get out after this? I think we just need to marinating for four hours. Hit the jams and get it over and done with. It's been about a month since we've done this.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Okay. Well, it'll still be a relatively short pod then. If I'm comparing it to, Liam, if you're listening to this pod, you send me a voice message. 14 and a half fucking minutes, mate Jesus Christ Liam,
Starting point is 00:12:49 14 and a half minute There's no fucking way I haven't listened to it yet But just no Liam When you listen to this podcast Three people Actually five including Ben and Megan Had a conversation
Starting point is 00:12:57 That's still shorter than the message you sent me Hmm A fart that'll leave you with hairy eyes Guess I thought what's that smell A stinking mystery For us to unveil Oh Guess the fuck
Starting point is 00:13:11 Okay Meg You do the honest doubt Marinating It's been marinate and he water and make it wet. Just taking a drink. I mean, you've got to trust the process.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Oh, bloody, how loose is his butt? Fucking hell. You're definitely losing today. Okay. I feel like that's almost looser. Okay, here we go. When you were talking about how I was gassy before, my body started, when you talk farts, it starts producing
Starting point is 00:13:47 them because it thinks it's playing the game. and then I had to keep sucking them back up inside me so I hope now that it is game time I've actually... Hey mate, less talking more farting. Farkin' out. You really do talk out your ass, don't you? Here we go.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I'm going to log out. Wait, let me log out. Fartic! That was pathetic. None of us. And no one's the winner here. What's stupid. Dumbra. You have literally one job
Starting point is 00:14:22 for the whole of the day. That was. One of the most pathetic. little little little fluff I've ever heard in my life Yeah well I don't want to be the disgusting fart guys So maybe I want to do cute farts There's nothing cute about that man From now on
Starting point is 00:14:36 It was pathetic Hot girls might be like Aw that's kind of cute No it wasn't cute Do you think? Try again I don't think we should end on that Give us another
Starting point is 00:14:44 Sometimes he wets himself If he pushes too hard Sometimes my two year old son fart is harder than that That's pathetic Well me I just want to do a cute one going into the weekend There's nothing cute about you I want to hear a big old filthy one Oh no
Starting point is 00:15:02 Now it feels fetish category That is fetish category Click you don't have to do that It's alright Do I don't? No You don't have to do it If you've got one
Starting point is 00:15:10 He's got one There we go Here you go Dan It's for you It's got your name on it I hope it sounds like I'm getting stage right Because I know how bad he wants it now
