Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. This is the Overthinkers podcast. Hello, welcome. Hope you had a great weekend if you listen to this on a Monday, I suppose. We are back. Back and at it for another week. Do we want to do a bullet telly now that the radio show is finished? So Meg, explain this new thing that you've come up with.
Starting point is 00:00:22 This is a new game that we play. Fuck up, Dan. It's a game that Clint came up with. Oh, it is, yeah. It's Nerf Bullets. He found a box of Nerf Bullets. bullets and he said that if you do something good on the show you get a bullet. The rules were you can't award yourself a bullet.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Dan threw those in the bin straight away. He's given himself six. No. Now Clint. I'm sorry, I'm still speaking. Then he dipped one of the bullets in Marmite pretended he put it up his ass and gave it to me.
Starting point is 00:00:45 So that's what I've got here. I've got one that looks at coming to shit. I should have got a bullet for that. That was quite a good. And Clint's got two. And I've had all mine basically taken off me. Oh yeah, because if you do something bad on here and you make a mistake, you lose a bullet.
Starting point is 00:01:00 lose a bullet. And so the problem is this was an off-air thing for morale and now, Meg will be on here, making a mistake and Dan goes give me a bullet. Yeah, or he'll just like do the hand motion. Yeah. Give it to me. Now here's the thing. I refute deeply the fact that I've been awarding myself. I think I did award myself one,
Starting point is 00:01:20 which I've given back. It was a joke. Now, Clint, if you're giving him five, Clint. You fucking want to eat him out. Oh my God. Jesus, you lose a bullet. Give me a pooey bullet. Is that the only one? She's got it. No, okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:01:35 So, no, Dan made a joke at your expense, and it made me laugh, and I said, you can have a bullet. And then I cracked up, we cracked up so much, Dan said, surely that's worth two. And I said, yeah, go on. But you haven't given him five. No, and then I did a hit the spot, which was brilliant. Then I came up with a great segment, which was another one. That's my five. Oh, that's four in my.
Starting point is 00:01:55 That's four. Did you order one? No, it's six. I definitely didn't. Warden one. No, you did. No, I didn't. You said you've been brilliant. I think you said today you've been brilliant. Get a thing. And then, yeah, we took a bullet off Dan because he made up a word that wasn't one. That's right. Dehabilitating. Dehabilitating. Yeah, when it's debilitating. Debilitating. You said dehabilitating. And then we found out that Dan's being saying dehabilitating his whole life.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Well, it's not often you say dehabilitating, is it? It's not needed often. But every time I have You never say dehabilitating. This is not a fucking word. In fact, I'd say if I had had to count the amount of times I've had to say that word, it would probably be five in my whole life. So, okay, so the rules now around the bullets, obviously, producers, I think they could probably be invited in, we can give them bullets. How, fuck the producers.
Starting point is 00:02:41 And also, I think it's important that at the end of the day, when the show's done, we're about to leave, we count up our bullets, because they could still be given away now, I think. Because otherwise, if Meg's so far behind, on a Tuesday, she's not going to care about the bullets, because
Starting point is 00:02:56 she's too far behind. I don't care about the bullets now, because the game is completely reigned by Daniel Webbie. No, it's not. Daniel, it is. It's not rigged. You're just a sad loser. Do you know?
Starting point is 00:03:06 I reckon, guarantee, tomorrow she might be leading at this point tomorrow and she'll fucking with it. Here's another fun thing we could do. At some point randomly, producer Carl's discretion, he could say it's happier and that means that for the next 60 minutes
Starting point is 00:03:22 it's double bullets. So if you do something good, Meg, you can get two bullets instead of one for one good What do you say if and not when? When? Fucking out, Clint. Give me your bullet. Give me one of your bullets.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Thank you. So now I've got six again. Why does he keep them? Put them back in the box. They go back in the box. You don't get it. Oh, that's why I've got five. He's like the banger and monopoly and he's just keeping the cash.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Okay, so then I have four because I think I took one off me. Right. So is, is happy hour a full hour? Or is it just like a couple of minutes? What do you think? How long do you reckon? I mean, happy hours. I'll call it for an hour.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Maybe Carl can call him be like, we're having a really shit show for the next half and out and he needs it spurs us up. Yeah, great, it's happy hour. I started happy hour three hours ago then. Okay, well no bullet for you then, Carl. And there's one other rule is that you have to be looking after your bullets at all times.
Starting point is 00:04:15 If you go to the bathroom and you leave your bullets, they can be stolen. How many can be stolen? All of them or just one per person? So I could steal one of yours if you left them. Like say you walk out of the studio and you've got five bullets, I go, Meg, he's got. on, let's steal a bullet each.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Or if I know that Meg's leading, I could not tell her, and she's forgotten, and I could tactically go and get it. So, you know, that's where tactics come into the game. So if you're going to go to the bathroom, you need to look after your ball. And this is why I think every workplace should have this sort of game. Like, if you're listening right now, you should introduce this. Dad, you literally, we've done it for 20 minutes.
Starting point is 00:04:48 And we're talking about it. And it's revolutionized the show. It was the best show I've ever done. The ratings go crazy from like mid-2006. And they go, what happened? I was like the fucking bullet game. No, we don't tell anyone apart from our listeners on this podcast. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Because we don't want Fletcher. It really is an adult version of a sticker chart. That is. And you know, I work really well with sticker charts. I was potty trained by the age of six. All thanks to stickers. Hey, I saw a cat going wheeze on a toilet and then flushing its own urine. And I was like, hey, hi?
Starting point is 00:05:21 And then I was like, no, this person like trains cats. And I was like, so the cat in the middle of the night, they were like, what is that? They got up, turned the light on and their cat was urinating in the toilet, and then afterwards they've taught it out of flush. You can teach anything to potty be pod and trained. And not a snail. No, probably not, but like most animals. Most animals probably.
Starting point is 00:05:43 A cricket? No, it's a bug. No, they'd be too small. They'd fall in the hole. You'd make them a little toilet. You can potty train anything. A rat? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:53 A rat, you probably could. You could potty train a rat. Yeah, for sure. But I don't think you can potty train anything. What? What about... I think there's... Yeah, I think Meg's right.
Starting point is 00:06:01 You could put potty... A cat's a potty trainable. Yes, you can absolutely potty train your pet. Rat. Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, I guess... Why wouldn't you?
Starting point is 00:06:08 If you teach dogs to go piss outside, why wouldn't you teach your cat to use the toilet? I think it's... I don't know. It's probably you don't want the cat using the toilet. Lazy. Better than cleaning the crap out of the litter box, wouldn't it? Well, I guess it's the same, isn't it? If you can train them to use a litter box.
Starting point is 00:06:22 It's the flushing, I think, that's the smart thing. Because they have to have the dexterity and the streaks of the streaks. To be fair, in this video, the cat fucking annoyingly flushed about six times, and I was like, well, that's a waste of order. You've got to teach him out to do it once, and then that's it. But the cat just kept whacking it, whack it out. How rank was that shit? He had to rush flush it six times.
Starting point is 00:06:40 So the cat wasn't sure what was going on if he'd done it right. I don't know. Anyway, um, I thought maybe something to do. Is there a mail bag? Yeah, we've had some feedback over the last 24 out to 48. You got mail. Now Meg, you, and this deserved a bullet if we're only playing it. week.
Starting point is 00:07:00 They said, we were talking about the Loser Bullet. Poem Day. Sorry, no, I was just reading through their thing. You can't pause on a podcast or on the radio for that long, Meg. No, bullet. Okay. Put it back in the thing.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Poem day. So, yeah, there was a poem day, which you thought up, Meg, where Clint and I Hans said, because we forgot your birthday. Clint, I did not ask for a poem day. Fuck, no, I didn't ask for a poem day. That's my idea. No, that we weren't playing it. Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:30 And so Clint came out with the idea of instead of, me ask writing a poem for meg's birthday which we missed we would pick a day in the future where we'd come up with a poem day yeah i think it's from memory it's october 23rd and on that day we'll go meg we've remembered it's poem day today we've both written a poem for you and you're not allowed to be prompted by carl or each other okay so someone's flagged this and said hey i think meg needs to re-pick a date for poem day because you guys are so gonna remember it because it's the day that Clint leaves for Africa. It needs to be a more like mundane day.
Starting point is 00:08:06 And I tend to agree because Clint's going to go, oh, I'll remember that because it's my last day before I go to Africa. No, but you know what it'll happen is that we'll get here on Friday. I'm like, my last day. Shit, it's poem day. And then we wouldn't have rid of it. We have to have written them, I would have thought. But I would know.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Now we've spoken about it too much. I mean, should we change the date? I think so. All right. November 11th. November 11th. She just pulled that out of their ass. None.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Is that all of our. Is that all? are you still in fucking Africa? Clint's away in a couple of weeks, too. November, he's still available. Let me check, it's like October, November. I hope you get attacked by some sort of mammal. Which one?
Starting point is 00:08:43 What would be our choice? I want a hippo. Because I've heard hippo swallow little fellas, like, Clint. Hole. Oh, okay. Yeah, Clint's still away on that date. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I'm... Actually, we should have kept it. No, I'm back on the 10th. I was back on the 10th. Oh, but then he'll remember, because the day after he gets back. So, oh, fuck, right. So I get back and then it's poem day tomorrow. What about December 4th?
Starting point is 00:09:05 December 3rd. No, that's your birthday. Damn it. You're a little fucking cheetah. You thought we'd forget. Lose a bullet for trying to hustle us. No, that's not how it works. Happy hour.
Starting point is 00:09:17 December 16th and it's final. Okay. We're not going to repeat it again. It's happy hour now. It's happy hour for the next hour. From 937 to 1037 double bullets. Okay, so there you go. So what's the date again, Meg?
Starting point is 00:09:29 December 16th. Not reprany it again. Okay. Can I put it in my diary? So that's like a couple of days, a few days before we finish up. I think we finish up on the 17th or something. 18th. Okay, sorry, what's the new Palm Day?
Starting point is 00:09:42 I'll message you privately. Yeah, can you thank you? I missed it. Okay, so that was one little bit of mail. There's more. Play the thing again. Okay. You got mail.
Starting point is 00:09:53 This one. For Clint. Apparently, so we're talking the other day about mirrors and how mirrors can make you look skinnier or fatter depending on what mirror you. Oh yeah, I saw a real fat one the other day of me over the weekend. Where was it? Rewened my weekend. Rock climbing.
Starting point is 00:10:07 I hate that, eh. It's usually reflections for me in a window. Rock climbing, mirth. Is it because they're on weird angles because they got the wall? No, it was in the bathroom. Oh. I went in and I honestly did this like, oh. Maybe it's to try and get you to sign up to a yearly rock climbing membership.
Starting point is 00:10:23 It was very depressing. I think the gyms should make it look like you're fatter. Because I'd work harder. No, fat in the changing room, but better in the... actual like gym area workout area because then you're like oh I'm feeling myself look how good I look but you're maybe when you're getting changed you don't I don't know I don't know if that works well or not
Starting point is 00:10:41 well someone said this is for Clint apparently Jim Murr's make you look bigger so the guys think that they're getting more gains and it encourages them to keep going and makes women think they look bigger to keep them trying to lose weight so it works both ways psychologically I don't know if there's any backbone to that but thank you so much Kirsty for sending that through I actually got male that I
Starting point is 00:11:02 thought you guys would enjoy as well, but this is directly to me. Will anyone who owns a gym tell us about that? Even if it was like on the podcast, voice disguise, because you don't want to announce to the world that yes, you have done that.
Starting point is 00:11:15 But maybe if you used to own a gym or your mate owned a gym, can anyone validate that? Love to know, maybe on a future. I guess it's the same thinking with shops, right? Like you're wanting people to look good in your clothes. Maybe you do shop fit outs and you realize that they do use certain types of mirrors
Starting point is 00:11:29 for like retail. So, like, as you were saying? Compliment or no. So this is something that someone sent you? Yeah. Okay. I got a message from a clinic in Turkey. Hi Meg.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I'm reaching out from the hyaena clinic in Turkey, Istanbul. I've had this. But is it for the same treatment? Creators invested in fix-ed-ness miles. I know, mine was not for that. I'm leaning towards not a compliment, but keep going. To be on the case, treatment may include veneers, crowns, dental implants, and a full smile makeover. The
Starting point is 00:12:04 collaboration experience includes full dental treatment, luxurious hotel stay in Istanbul, private airport limousine transfers and the opportunity. No, they don't. Just the limousine transfer. Otherwise I'd probably go. I was thinking yeah, they asked me for a hair transplant thing and I was like, don't know if I didn't even talk about? The opportunity
Starting point is 00:12:19 to document your smile transformation journey. Oh, so it's a smile transformation. Yeah, this sounds interesting. Let's chat Moe. And I said, I like my smile. Thank you very much. Did you respond that back to him? And he said, happy to hear that. He was like, good for you, I guess.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Smile, you've got a beautiful tip too. I thought, like, if you're looking at my pageant, it was like, it was, do you know that thing where sometimes you get sent some stuff? And you're like, oh, they've just sending it to tons of people. It was like enough about me and to me that it felt very specific. Tell guy I said, hey. He does. I'm going to, I'm good smile.
Starting point is 00:12:55 You do, you've got a really good smile. White teeth, there's nothing wrong with it. Show me your bottom lower teeth? No, they're fucked, so we're not going to do that. Same with me. Maybe that's what he meant. Let's see your bottom teeth? Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Mine are all jammed up. All jammed up down the bottom. My top one's all right. Oh, yours are nice, but you've had Envisaline. Yeah, I've been Visaline. Do you think they just get people going, it's free, whatever, and they just go and get an experience and document something for their channel? I saw Nick's from, that was on Celebrity Treasure Island.
Starting point is 00:13:21 She went over, I think it was to Turkey, wasn't it, to get a facelift. And, yeah, they've done, like, I don't know, she was documenting the whole journey. There was a lot of swelling, but I think it's come down now. I just don't know, like, I mean, how else are they going to reach out to you, I guess, other than email? But it just feels like to do all that and go over to Turkey. It feels very invasive in terms of surgery. And they've just reached out randomly via email. It doesn't seem as a legit.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Yeah, it's, I mean, it's, it was really weird. What did you guys get done if you got a free one? They were like, it's just down the road, free of charge, all, you know, above board. All the bits and bobs. What would you, no, list it. Like, what would you get done? They were like, you could get anything done, anything like body, lower body. upper body.
Starting point is 00:14:01 It's a very funny comedy bit on Netflix where a guy he was on the daily show South African guy Oh god I need to give his name South African show
Starting point is 00:14:14 South African on daily show Yeah he's very Trevor Trevor Noah And his girlfriend in bed Asked him if you could change one thing About me what would it be And he talks about how he knows the answer Now is nothing
Starting point is 00:14:26 I'd change nothing If anything I'd change things about myself to receive you and your love, how I should. But he answers it by being like, I wish you would be, you would communicate better in the bedroom when we're having sexy talk. Jesus, it's so specific. That's not a physical thing, no, that's your personality.
Starting point is 00:14:46 No, but supposedly when she says she's coming, she's coming. He thinks she means right now, but she means eventually. He does this big long sketch about why that's really hard and the difference when a guy says that to when a girl says that. It's very funny. if you do like stand-up comedy. Anyway, what we change about Meg physically? Is that what you're asking?
Starting point is 00:15:03 No, no, no, no, no, you can't change. No, you can't change. Right now I wouldn't change anything. I'd say, can I range here in 10 years and then I'd get the works? Give me, give me when I'm 46. What's the works? I'll get it. I'll probably do a minor facelift when I'm 40-something, maybe.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I thought you like aging naturally. I do, but then. Or other people, you like them aging naturally? I would love to age naturally. It's just societal pressure, right? Because I see, I mean, even we were talking this morning, we were saying we look at people like we looked at what's her face, Phoebe from Friends
Starting point is 00:15:31 the other day Lisa Kudrow. And she's aging naturally and instantly we're like, oh, she's looking old. You know, Danny looked at her and it's like, fuck, it just feels so much pressure that I wonder in my 40s if I'm going to feel that. I would love to age naturally. I think it's a great thing to show my daughters.
Starting point is 00:15:45 I'd love to not care. I wonder what I'll feel like when I'm 40. I think it's more, Phoebe is a tricky example because you see her and friends and that's where you know her. iconic Phoebe. And then you see her now, and it's jarring, because she has aged, and maybe she looks fine for her age, but it was jarring because she's...
Starting point is 00:16:03 You're right. She's frozen in time and 30 years of age because we all reference her to friends, whereas if she was doing big movies all the time, we would have naturally seen her age. But it's like, she went from Phoebe to now. Like she's done more movies, so you're sort of... True. She looks great, though, doesn't she? Yeah, she's had a bit of work, a little minor. I hope my dream is that I couldn't kill her.
Starting point is 00:16:26 less, like later in life. I couldn't care less what I looked like. I could do like a, like, what is that? A blef, upper blef. Like your eyelids. What's wrong with your blef? I got, I paid for mum and dad to get theirs down for like their birthdays or whatever because they were talking about how their eyelids were getting
Starting point is 00:16:42 like droopy and then it sort of starts like... If you keep doing that, they'll get to as you're stretching them. It's coming down like over your eyes. And so, yeah, they effectively take the skin out from above your eyes and below your eyebrows and your eyes just look wider and you just see more alert and you're just
Starting point is 00:16:57 surprised. And I feel like I'm going to have to get that done because genetically if mum and dad have both had droopy eyes I'm going to bloody get droopy eyes. Yeah. Well you don't have to get it done
Starting point is 00:17:05 but what you will want to get done. Yeah. And it's not, and it's just a day, like it was like a afternoon surgery. Yeah. I hope nothing. Dan,
Starting point is 00:17:14 do you think you ever get work done? I don't think so. I may, if anything, lob a little bit off my nose, put it on my cop. I need to go west. Imagine that every time you're having sex.
Starting point is 00:17:26 What's that smell? What's that smell? I didn't mean my nose. Buller? Buller?
