Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. This is the Overthinkers podcast. Jota, Clint, Megan Dan, normally your host, Meg's away looking after her husband who's had a nose job, so Lucy does the nightshows with us. Hello, thank you for having me. Oh, good to have you here. Thank you so much for your help. You're so good to have. I don't.
Starting point is 00:00:19 I don't think Meg's husband's nose job is aesthetics. I think it's more like the inner workings of his nose. Yeah, I think he's always had quite lovely-looking nose. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if I was getting a nose job, I'd go, why are you in there? Yeah, that's when I was saying to my life. You know, depending on what you want, I think I needed a little bit more length to mine because I've got one of those little bit of button noses.
Starting point is 00:00:42 You're a cute nose, actually. Yeah, but I feel like if I had like a little bit of something on there, it might make me look more masculine. So risky when you ask for more nose, though, because you don't want to come out and going, not that much. Yeah. Does it cost more to get extra? I don't think you can get extra.
Starting point is 00:00:56 I don't think there's really many people going, I want a bigger nose. No, but sometimes if you've a... Yeah, you've got a huge... He does, hey. I'm sorry. But I mean he does, because he is considered... I don't see it, but he is considered attractive by a lot of people. Dan is the only person who says I have big nose,
Starting point is 00:01:20 and now you just absolutely jumped in and agree with him, like, so unbelievably funners. No, but Treos never were. There's always got to be one person taking the heat. I think it's in, like, you know, like it looks... It doesn't look out of place. It doesn't, you don't look like Mr. Potato Head.
Starting point is 00:01:33 My head's big enough to allow for it. I think you've got a big head and a big nose. Did you ever have a septim piercing when you were younger? No, I had a nose room. You give those vibes kind of like when you're younger. He has got a piercing, but I think it's called a Prince Albert, the one he's got. You won't know what that is. No, don't get it.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Yeah, don't get it. Oh, is it down there? Yeah. I don't know why anyone want to put a second hole through there? I know, crazy, eh? And you'd have to take it out for most things I would have thought, even taking a whiz. Surely it'd be like when you stick your finger on the end of a hose. And then it just goes everywhere. Yeah, I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Sometimes I just don't know why people get piercings. Like I sort of. Get it with a septim or like an eyebrow piercing or a lip. Just because it's sort of a thing you see every day and as your personality a bit crazy, then cool, go for it. But getting like one down there, like on your bits. I just don't understand. But sometimes it's just for a bit of fun.
Starting point is 00:02:24 You go through phases. Maybe you think it looks good, feels good, or not. You definitely pay more to get, I think, nose put on than it would cost to take it off. Yes. It would be easier to take it off. Very much so. Anyway, I think I'll be back tomorrow
Starting point is 00:02:36 because it sounds like she's juggling the kids and finding out that that's the real job. Yeah. She gets to just come hang out and talk shit with us. I know. Now, quite often we get a little bit of mail on this podcast. Love it. Lucy, where people get in touch with us via the Overthinkers Feedback on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:02:51 We've got another one here. You got mail. Now, in terms of interesting mail or out there stuff that we've received, this would be up there. I'd say top three for me. Wow. Someone said, so I've been listening to you guys for about three years. It's Francie. Francie, by the way, her name's Francie.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Oh, yeah. For about three years. And telling my boyfriend Leon about the funny stories, but he doesn't listen to your podcasts. Last night. Oh, sorry. You've got to really retell it properly. You know, it's like when you go to a comedy show
Starting point is 00:03:23 and then you get home, you're like, oh my God, baby, he said this and he said that. And it doesn't hit the same out of context. And then you've to finish with, no, trust me, it was really funny. You had to be there. You had to be there. You had to be there.
Starting point is 00:03:32 And so, and thank you for these sort of people like Francie that spread the gospel of the show. Yeah. You know, they're always talking positive, trying to get other people to listen. If only we had more of you. So she goes on to say last night, he had a dream, so this is her partner, Leon. He had a dream that he was involved in your radio show somehow. And suddenly, now this is where it gets weird.
Starting point is 00:03:52 He was running down a hill with Meg and Dan yelling in his hair to go faster. And Clint shows up next to him in a wingsuit. I reckon he smoked a bit of the wacky tobacco before he went to sleep. We had cheese. They don't know they reckon cheese gives you crazy drinks. Yeah. So that gets weirder. So Clint turns up in a wingsuit, hooks him to his suit, and they base jump off a cliff.
Starting point is 00:04:13 After that, you all went to a hippie camp and did mushrooms. He said there was also a Meg part, but he couldn't remember. Love you guys. Keep up what you're doing. Meg obviously didn't give him much of her time. Hi and by. Yeah, she wasn't wearing a wingsuit or anything. Sad to Meg.
Starting point is 00:04:28 So yeah, keep the feedback coming. We don't have time to read out all the stuff. There's also another guy called Dan who was messaged. saying, I love the show you guys. The Overtinkers podcast gives a glimmer of sunshine in my day. Here's the thing. I've been overthinking. I struggle to get matches on dating apps and it's possibly because I have an awful profile.
Starting point is 00:04:48 And so what he's asking is if we can have a look at his profile and give him some tips from a female perspective about what he should be changing. I do like that. So I've asked for him to send through screenshots of his. Oh, screenshots. And maybe we'll do it on a later episode. But thanks for your feedback as well. That'd be great actually to be able to offer that as a service. Yeah, we just go through the photos and go, here's where you're going wrong, bro.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Are you on the dating app? Yeah, I had a bit of fun on the old hinge. But I think it's all about the captions. It doesn't matter really about the photos. If you've got a funny caption that someone can easily reply to, then you're in. If not, I think from a guy's perspective, the photos are important. Yeah, I was about to say. Okay, cliche personality, but I think.
Starting point is 00:05:28 See, this is where I think if girls aren't having luck, then we can weigh in on the profile, Dan and I from a guy's perspective. And typically, if a guy is probably not having much luck. then the girls you guys can weigh in. Yeah, exactly. No, I honestly feel like it's hard. There was some guy in the office. I won't out his name.
Starting point is 00:05:43 But he showed me his profile the other day. He was like, was like, what's this good? And I was like, yes, like your photos are great. It shows you that you got hobbies, that you're having fun and that you have a job. And I think those are the main three. You've got really low standards. Oh, nothing loves another boy, man. What about guys who are in like a photo with like five of their other lads?
Starting point is 00:06:00 No, because you can never tell. And then you always end up replying going, is that you? And it's just the hot friend. If you've got like single photo, single photo, single photo, single photo, group photo, right? Therefore, you'd know who they are because the single photo is obviously them, but I don't know if that's a smart play or not,
Starting point is 00:06:14 because then the girls are looking at the guys going, oh, actually, is your mate single? Yeah. Producer Carl? Lucy, what if it's a guy holding a fish on a fishing boat and he's wearing, like, swan dry? What if it's a massive fish? No, that's not hot, though.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I was producer Brady likes to hunt, and one of my biggest icks was when we were working to you that I said, I hate when men post pictures of dead animals on their hands. Like, I don't want to see that. sorry, like maybe in your hunting gear, like looking real masculine, but with your dead pig, mate, no, thank you. He can provide, though. He's a provider.
Starting point is 00:06:43 That's not hot, though, the poor piggy. He's a hunter-gatherer. I don't think I've ever gone, oh, I'd like a piece of meat from that big pig that you've just caught, though. That puts me off the meat of anything. But it filters out the veggos, I guess, hey, Brady, you don't want to be... Yeah, and that's actually funny that you say that, because on my dating apps, that's the most photos I get the most replies to are the ones of me being hunting.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Nah, who were the girls replying to that? I'm sorry. Uh-uh. Because they're angry at you? Because they're interested. Oh, they're like, oh, interested. Wow. Really?
Starting point is 00:07:12 It's a type, I guess. You're either all in and all out. I've heard, now, correct me if I'm wrong, just going a little bit off topic here, because I know we're talking about the dating, but I want to go back to this hunting thing. I've got a friend who was a hunter like you, Brady, and he's invited me on these trips numerous times. I'm like you, Lucy. I don't like killing animals.
Starting point is 00:07:30 But apparently what happens on these hunting trips is it's dudes on mass. So quite often there's like four or five dudes going into the bush. Oh, Dan's in now. Dan's in the tree. No, no, if anything, this puts me off. But like the stuff that happens on these hunting trips can be rather feral. Correct. Confirm or deny.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Correct. Yeah. Like, really quite, like, I'm not even going to go into the stories I've been told. But like, once the hunting stop for the day. What do you do? And there's, like, they've set up camp next to a river or something in the complete wilderness. It's like international waters. Some shit goes down.
Starting point is 00:08:08 With the boys? Wait, with each other. Have you been on them? It's not sexual, Dan. No, I know. It's not sexual. Oh, no, no, no, no. That's not what I'm pointing out.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Oh, that's why Dan still hasn't been. No, no, no, no. But let you true self out. It's okay. There's stuff that goes down. Yeah, absolutely. But it's not sexual. Going down.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Not on each other. No. Well, uh... The penis. Radio Webbing. Yeah. You know what? Imagine like what would happen in a flat full of dudes in Dunedim.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Yeah, but you're not drinking, because I imagine alcohol would be involved when guys do stupid things. But when you're carrying guns and knives and stuff, I don't imagine you want to be taking alcohol with you. Yeah. So that's all I'm going to say. But what I've heard is things can get feral. That's how people get shot wearing hivers, I reckon. Yeah. With a bunch of dudes and they're all drinking.
Starting point is 00:08:57 How does it happen? He was wearing hyvers. They're wasted. I don't like it personally. But that's okay. They're on. Okay. We're about to go to a movie premiere,
Starting point is 00:09:10 although it's a preview screening to a new film by Dave Franco, who is the brother of James Franco, who is now, correct me if I'm wrong, being cancelled, hasn't he, James Franco? I don't know what for, but I do hear the internet sort of gone off on a bit, haven't they? Yeah, I think he's done some controversy, controversial things. James Franco faced major controversy in 2018
Starting point is 00:09:32 when multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. Right, okay. But his brother, Dave, is very much, according to, I didn't know this, but Dave is very much like a sexual, like, the girls love him. Oh, I just searched him up. He's hot, man. The girls love him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And he's just got a new movie out. Wait, did you just say you would smash him? Like, smash, like, yeah. Oh, my God, imagine if that, so unfair, Dan, was the other way around. What? Oh, exactly. Smash. Sorry, what great handsome, young-looking, mate.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Thank you. We're not just pieces of meat to just smash. No, I know that. No, I know. It's disgusting. Gene Z turns, Clint. Yeah, get with the Times Club. Oh, you're allowed to be misogynistic?
Starting point is 00:10:15 Yeah, I think nowadays. That's sort of the paradigm shifted back again, so now you can be misogynistic and sexist. Overthinkers. Rover. Music, radio, podcasts.
