This is a podcast from Rover.
This is the Overtinkers podcast.
Hello.
Hello.
Pause, what is everyone doing right now?
It's not work related.
I am looking at a post that says five singers.
I cannot stand and why.
And then he just put some artists out of it.
Don't like her because of this.
Don't like him because of that.
That's interesting.
I want to hear more about that.
I'm reading some messages on our Overthinkers.
Oh, good.
So you're doing something for the show.
Always work related, isn't it?
Always working.
You got mail.
You guys thoughts on reading out nice stuff about us.
Because I find it quite self-indulgent.
Yeah, me too.
It feels.
It doesn't matter what we feel.
I guess it's what you feel.
If you were sitting there going, guys, can I be really honest?
I absolutely hate listening to you guys.
Just wap on about yourselves because somebody said something nice.
Let us know.
We'll do it this morning and then you can give us the feedback.
Okay.
Well, this one's come through from Shunt.
tell. And
she's sent a very
long message, but I thought it might be
nice to read it out. She said, hey team, absolutely love
you all. Long time, listener. Sixteen years
she's been listening. So much longer than
we've all been together. In fact,
this show didn't exist
16 years ago. None of us were doing breakfast.
And the podcast
maybe six or seven years. You'll make me laugh out
loud in public when I look
like an idiot at work or
currently while rocking my five-month-old
baby to sleep. Sometimes I text in
occasionally and try and call
but get nervous and hang up. Don't get nervous.
That's so weird. Don't get nervous, but we're not. That you know us
and you love the show and that when you do get
through, then you freak out at the thought of chatting to us.
Yeah, hopefully one day I'll get the courage to call and be the first call of the day
or easy money. She then goes on to give us all compliments.
We'll look out for your name then now.
Just wanted to say you put a little bit of laughter joy,
escapism into my day, especially on the hard days,
running off little sleep with my almost four-year-old has those days.
Meg, how you navigate postpartum has been my guiding light.
Oh, that's so kind.
Clint, your parent and marriage advice gives me hope that I can be as great a parent as you are,
as all of you are.
She's put in brackets there.
And has helped me to be more openly communicate about my relationship.
And Dan, your jokes and stories make me die with laughter and remind me that things are not so serious all the time.
All the love, Chantelle.
So thank you very much for your message.
Well, I don't know if this is the same Chantelle,
texts us sometimes on the text machine, but I have a search for Chantal.
And if it is her, she had her son in eight minutes start to finish.
Jesus.
I don't know if that might be somebody else.
Also, incorrect on the use of postpartum with Meg, the initial medical recovery period
after childbirth lasts six to eight weeks.
But full physical, emotional and hormonal recovery is six months to a full year.
No, it's four years.
Well, not according to Google.
You're out of it, babe.
Now, but not.
You can't keep using the postpartum card.
I'd argue, Clint.
You can't.
You shouldn't.
I said you can't, but you shouldn't really argue about postpartum with a woman.
I know, but I just thought, oh, you know, it's just delight in the mood.
Yeah, I know, but I don't think the mood was.
Meg's Google.
What if Meg's Google's different to mine?
Chronic issues such as untreated pelvic floor out.
A persistent back in hip mechanics, ongoing fatigue can persist for years.
But if your kid's six months, you can't say your postpartum, can you?
Fuck off, Clint!
What?
What? Do you want to pick that?
Five.
Yes, I can say I'm post-partum for the rest of my
fucking life.
I just had a baby.
You're in a bit of go.
My mum still say she's post-partum up for me.
Yeah.
She is post-partum.
She's post-the-partum.
So can we move on?
Thank you.
I had to be pulled out with those big scissors.
So I think it did really...
Forsips.
Yeah, four-sips.
Oh, I told them up with scissors.
Well, whatever, you know, those big things
that they pull you out.
And my mum said it was like,
bloody hell painful.
So she's still post-partum.
Yeah.
Is she?
Okay, well, I will tell Google to correct them.
I've never heard of postpartum until like working with women.
That's on you, mate.
And that's on our fucking, like, sexual and health system that we learn at school.
The fact that you never heard those two words is terrible.
I would just refer to it as like, just you had a baby.
It doesn't flog.
I've just had a baby, yeah.
You know, like, yeah.
I feel like postpartum is a new word, like a newish word.
Find out means going to use much more than it is, that it has been previously.
Partum means childbirth and post means afterwards.
So yes, I am post-my-partum, Clint.
Pardon yourself.
Today on the Overtink,ers podcast.
Pardon me.
Never going to be pre-my-partum again.
Isn't it fun when you find a new button for someone?
Right, okay, I've got a would-you-rather that has gone mental on the internet.
It's stupid, so be prepared to try and get in a weird space.
I need you to just go all in.
Would you rather have a post-partum argument?
There's actually a TV show.
I think it's on Netflix called Would You Rather?
And they've pretty much got like two teams.
and they get, would you rather this or that?
And then the teams have to decide which one they're going to do.
And then you watch them physically play out, almost like fair factor,
the challenge that they think would have been easier than the other.
And then you actually get to see it through.
And then if you're on the losing team, you get voted out.
I don't think they'll be able to do this one.
Okay, so it's not like one the show would actually.
Would you rather?
And I just need you to, instead of being like, me, this is stupid.
Thousands of people have commented.
So just try and really imagine it.
Hum me, you.
Okay.
Would you rather?
A, turn in,
to a rat for one year
but you have to keep your
same human job
you're a very
okay
can we just
let me just go with that
hey
Jesus
I believe put it
okay
you're a very influential
celebrity in the rat community
and people are okay with this
okay so in the rat community
you're very
they're like wow look at me
it's on a radio show
and you're like where the fuck is Clint
and get that rat out of here
no I'm like the rat's cool
because you're influential in the community
but can the rat talk
like because
It'd be very bad on radio
if I just a rat on the table.
Sure.
I know, but they're human size
and I feel like it'd be great for videos.
Right, or B, live with a human-sized rat for a year.
They're not messy,
and they are supplied their own room.
But they start at your job
and you must translate for them
because you speak rat language.
This person was high AF when they came up with this
and put on the internet?
There are some comments to people getting into it,
unlike you two, unimaginative,
No, I'm just hate.
Somebody said, how can a rat be a stripper?
So there's that one.
And then somebody said,
do I keep my rat influence after the year?
Because that would be helpful, I think.
It would be helpful to be in the right community.
The second one is very cruel because what happens to the rat man when the year is over?
Nobody else speaks with the rat.
Do I retain my rat speaking ability?
Because that adds to it to go on the second one?
So the brat can speak.
It feels very like someone's just watched like teenage mutant ninja turtles or something.
whilst they were stone.
Splinter. Yeah, and then splinter.
You know, he's the rat that can speak and he's like human-sized,
but he looks after his like turtle sons.
A lot of people were saying they have to go with A
because after a year they would have strong attachments
to the human-sized rat friend
and they would feel very upset to lose.
Honestly, all stoners, A, having this conversation.
I don't think anybody sober is actually having like a serious answer to this.
Yeah, they didn't do that on the Netflix show.
The Netflix show, when they first introduced you,
they would be like, toothbrush or toothpaste?
Yeah, but are you a little rat that sits here
And you can speak
And you've got Stuart Little almost
You're Stuart Little, you're a little rat for a year
And you've got lots of mates in the rat community
And they're going, fuck, go down
How am I going to get home from work?
Exactly, you've got to think of these things
Or do you have a cute little Tesla
Human-sized rat friend
And you speak rats, whenever you speak as you go
Oh fuck, okay, yep, what do you want to say?
He wants to more cheese
Yeah, I think I'd have the friend
You have the friend, see?
It's less inconvenient to my life
Yes, and here's that you get an extra room
in your house too, don't you?
That's true.
And then when he moves out, I'd turn that into like a
like a rumpus, like a second lounge, like a movie room.
He dies or disappears after a year, so you'd have to tell you kids
because they're becoming quite good friends with rat friends with rat.
I think I'd be the little rat.
And he works with us.
The little rat.
Little rat.
Little, like I'd be human, like, I'd still do the radio show, but I'm Stuart Little, basically.
Yes, yes, and we're doing it with you.
Yeah, but, because I think that that would get us viral.
People would be like, fuck, that show's great.
That is so selfless of you.
You're one with the rat.
And also, I could climb up skirts and shit.
Today on the Overtinkers podcast.
We're overthinking.
You have eight envelopes that you find at home.
Yeah.
Inside those envelopes, on the front it says the date you die.
No.
Okay, carry on.
Moving them in the bid.
Next.
Your future net worth?
Yeah, maybe.
Interesting.
Go.
Your soulmate's name.
Yeah, I know.
Who betrayed you?
Ben.
Who truly loves you?
Your biggest regret?
What happens after death?
And the meaning of your life?
You can open one.
What happens after death or my future income?
The others can go on the bin.
What if your future income is the same?
Okay, so what happens after death?
You're like, damn it!
But then you'd know you could leave a job if you thought you had aspirations to earn more.
You would be like, well, maybe I quit now because it looks like even into the future.
I'm never really more.
or something.
Yeah.
What happens after death?
Yeah.
That'd be a good one.
That'd be my one, I think.
Daniel, can you behave?
I wasn't listening.
I was laughing at my joke.
It wasn't a joke.
It was sexually assaulting rat.
Do you know what I'm...
I wasn't reading that much into it.
I'm just going on having a peak.
Having a peak.
Dad, that is sexual assault.
Is a rat?
Yes.
The fact is, you became the rat.
I get away with it because I'm cute.
No, you wouldn't.
No, you're a fucking rat.
You're a fucking rat.
You're not a mouse.
You're a rat.
And also you became the rat to get us viral
And then you fucking cancel us
I'll be so pissed off of you
Yeah, it had come out
He's actually, he's cute
But he's been climbing up women's skirts
And climbing up, you'd probably be shooting up
Like men's jeans and stuff
Because don't rats love cheese?
Oh, that's disgusting
I want to be, I go out of everything
I just have a bag
I'm leaving
Oh, the thinkers
And you'd go home
You'd almost be
I climbed up Gareth from a counts as past
Yeah
He's packing
Yeah
Just go around
telling us who's big and who's not.
All right, Dan.
Anyway, I'm going to go and get my little
pedal card and go home. Do you know the last
envelope I think I'd open up is the date I die?
I don't think I'd want to know at all when I'm going to die.
It would make you, if you found
out it was, let's say, next April.
It would make you live your life
so much differently, which I do love because I go,
right, you know what, I'm out. I've only got however many
months left and I'm going to waste them sitting in this room
when I could be out exploring the world
and creating memories with my...
That's how you should be, yeah, I mean, we should be living our lives as if the day is tomorrow, right?
Yeah, but the problem is, is that you also have to store your acorns up for the potential that you might live for 40 years.
No, we're a rat, not a squirrel.
You've got to get it.
I've moved on from the rat, hey, oh my, my way.
Want me to climb up his pants and see what he's packing?
