Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. This is the Overthinkers podcast. Hey, Clint's always sick, Meg's always sick. Dan's here though, and you've got Carol from the Edge days. How convenient is that they've come back from holiday. I know. Yeah, you know what? I smell a bit of a stinky little conspiracy.
Starting point is 00:00:20 I think they're both not sick. Although Clint has been to the doctor and has got a doctor's certificate until Thursday. Well, anyone can go out of the doctor. I know. PC gone mad now. I think Meg's sick I think Clint's not I reckon I could go to the doctor today
Starting point is 00:00:35 and go I'm going to the sole bottom and he's going to go I don't even want to look at that bit and go I'll just issue you a thing now no doctor is going oh fuck and I look forward to when I have to look at a butt you know what on that I have a lot of butt issues well colon issues
Starting point is 00:00:53 and I always find it awkward if I have to have like a finger up the bum what I say afterwards like the little little small chat afterwards while you're putting your pants back on and like it's so awkward I remember I said like oh I bet that's probably the worst part of your day isn't it oh just stay quiet I know and they don't care but it's like for me it's like this is so uncomfortable and so weird but for them they're just like literally like oh it's just medical like now be honest bring the music down be honest
Starting point is 00:01:16 how many people do you think have seen you'll battle different people doctors or just in general I mean we can we can all be the judges to how many of them are medical professional but you just tell us at ballpark of you think how many people have seen it and then I will make a guess and you can tell me if I'm close
Starting point is 00:01:37 or how many of them are medical professionals I would say different people yeah about 30 and I reckon about I probably know exactly how many are not medical professionals I reckon at least
Starting point is 00:01:52 at least 10 of those people aren't medical professionals no less than that yeah wait hang on wait wait wait wait wait wait wait aren't medical yeah yeah yeah so around 10 10 of them are just everyday people
Starting point is 00:02:06 and 20 of them are medical professionals no I'd say maybe four people are just everyday person and it's probably about yeah what an honour just four of them what an honour
Starting point is 00:02:18 you know what Clint and I once we were this was during it was blue September wasn't it it was prostate awareness month and this is not a done thing now to be fair they do it with a blood test but if you've got a prostate cancer
Starting point is 00:02:34 it used to be tradition now I think they still do it to a certain degree put a digit up the bottom and feel the prostate manually and Clint and I tried it out on air and I remember I was so nervous
Starting point is 00:02:46 with a doctor or like no with a doctor yeah Clint didn't do it no Clint and I both took turns we had a doctor in and they were like you know what this isn't the thing
Starting point is 00:02:55 done thing now. Like we do use it every now and then, but usually it's just a blood test. And so we laid on our side, pulled down our pants in this doctor. He said he was a doctor. Put his finger up our bums and tested it. And he said they were both,
Starting point is 00:03:10 we both had brilliant little sphinxters. Sorry, Patricia Carl here. Yeah, I remember organizing that. I love that you still think he was a doctor. Brilliant. It wasn't just my mate, Daryl, who had a crush on Dan. I've had something like that to happen.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I've had something like that happened when, I was in hospital for a flare from ulcer of colitis and some lady came in and it's like you don't really just question if someone comes in with confidence you just kind of assume that they're a doctor but she wasn't wearing like a coat or anything had nothing on it that made her look like a doctor and she had to put a finger up there um she was like hey just have to do like a quick check but then she like left and i never saw her again and i'm not even kidding to this day i'm like imagine if that come in was but imagine if the doctor came another doctor came in later and was like um so i'm just going to test your thing and you were like no the lady was in here before
Starting point is 00:03:55 and they were like, there's no Dr. Smith that works in this hospital. Imagine that. Andres' this woman had just walked in off the streets and put her finger up your bum and left. The only thing she had,
Starting point is 00:04:05 the only thing she had was a clipboard. Oh, anybody with a clipboard, I trust. Well, that's the thing of it. Apart from those ones that are asking for money. Or the finger up the bum. Yes. Yes. Anyway, let's clean it up by doing a Oreo gag.
Starting point is 00:04:20 So there's a thing I've seen online, which I am going to say for when, Meg returns because I think Meg and Clint need to experience this. But I thought I could test it out on you now. Cool. Ganything. I don't know if anyone's seen this that's listening but what you need is a packet of Oreos.
Starting point is 00:04:38 And you want to unwrap the packet. Carl's brought them in. This is the sort of stuff he has to do as a producer. God, he's good. And so it's a packet of Oreos. You unwrap the packet and stack at least six Oreos on top of each other on the desk in front of you. So pass to me the packet here. Should I come over
Starting point is 00:04:54 there so you guys can save? So I'm not behind this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we'll both do it. Do you want to partake in at Carl as well? Yeah, I'll go to go. Yeah, go. And so essentially, the word on the street is that you put your mouth over the Orioles. So you've stacked them like, I guess, casino chips.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Chips on the desk and on top of each other. And you've got to put your mouth over the Oreos and gather as many as you can in your mouth. Now apparently from what I've read You can't get more than five in your mouth No one can do it Oh shit So I've stacked them there Do you want to do the honours cow first
Starting point is 00:05:33 So you've got so many of those six there's six there It's hard to tell because I'll go first Because I feel like I if I'm issuing the challenge I can't not Let me just start filming mate because I go This has to be Yeah but I think we film it when Clinton mega back This is just a dummy run
Starting point is 00:05:45 Dummy Run So here I go I'm going to go So I've stacked one two Three four five six So I'm going to go for five because that is the max anyone's being able to do. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Okay, here we go. I'm going in. Oh, that's a big mouth. Oh. Oh, okay. Oh, it's not bad. Okay, he's got a mouth for a Mario. No, you have to count on me.
Starting point is 00:06:08 It's a very big. Yeah, okay, I'm counting. One. One. Oh, he's just letting them drop out of his. Oh, that's, you need to. Oh, you're like, are you super? He's trying to separate them.
Starting point is 00:06:19 That's, that's, that's, that's one and a half. That's still, that's one and a half. You split them. Okay, so that was two. Two and a half. Three. Four. Four. Okay, wow. So I see, and apparently no one can do more than five.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Shit, that was pretty good. Until now, Cal, step up to the tape. Yeah, let me reuse yours. No, no, you don't need to reuse. We've got enough for Oreos. So you can't do five. So stack five. Two, three.
Starting point is 00:06:43 So I've stacked six there again. No, because that one would have touched the end of your lab. Turn it upside down then. Oh, yeah, I'll just get the bottom ones. Okay. Okay, so. Okay, so. Okay, so.
Starting point is 00:06:52 One, two, three, four, five. Now, our boss is watching, Jack, our boss is watching this. And he's not, doesn't look happy. He's got a better on. Here we go, good luck. I'm a bit nervous. I don't want to gag like you because that was disgusting. What if I puke?
Starting point is 00:07:10 What if I don't have a good gag reflex? I love it. Just give it a go. Have you ever tested your gag reflex before? No. Okay, here we go. All right, here we go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Here we go. I'm scared. No, don't be, though. It's just like a... Here he goes. Just don't even think about it. That's it, boy. Can you fucking push my head!
Starting point is 00:07:30 Oh, God! That was crazy! I don't want to push too bad. Now, can we get footage? Can we cut to the producer's suite where our boss Jack was forcing me to do it? He did this. He would like this.
Starting point is 00:07:47 So give it a go. Here you go. Give it a go. Off you go. I can go right. I don't push you down this time. Oh, he's a true. I think it's a world record!
Starting point is 00:07:55 I think it's the world record! He's done six! One, two, three, four, five, what the hell? It's never been done before! That's incredible!
Starting point is 00:08:10 Wow! I reckon I could have done another one. Give me one more. You can do seven. Have you can do seven? Oh, this is such a stupid flex as well. Oh my God. Okay, so this is going to be the high watermark
Starting point is 00:08:21 because Clinton mega back on Thursday. It's kind of broken it, though. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. You can still get it up properly. Okay. Okay. Seven.
Starting point is 00:08:29 If you can do seven, I will... I will whip my... Jesus. Jesus, you have been... I'm going to seven. If I do that, you'll be back to three, mate. You won't need seven. Oh, my God!
Starting point is 00:08:47 Okay. Here he goes. I hate that, like... Good luck. I think... going for seven. This is more than a world record. I'm nervous. Go Riley. You can do it. Oh, fuck
Starting point is 00:08:59 off. You wouldn't read about it. Oh my God, he's down seven. Holy shit. He's not seven. He is an absolute That's incredible. You have wasted in this job. Wow! That is not how
Starting point is 00:09:18 I imagine this would go. You could do like eating contests. Like you could do the... Yum, but I'm like eating them. Yeah, I know, but you could be like that guy that does all the sausage eating The hot dog eating contest Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:09:29 Nathan's you could enter the Nathan's hot dog eating competition You would clean up That is talent My goodness me That is one girthy Orel cavity I think you guys are getting
Starting point is 00:09:39 a bit too excited about this Ah Clint's will do eight Yeah I reckon Oh God Clint's good at everything He'll have 10 in his mouth And still have room for something else Anyway I can't wait to see the video
Starting point is 00:09:50 And I can't wait Now I have set the bar quite high Well let's I think Let's wait to release a video until Thursday when Megan Clinton when you try it with Megan Clinton like I'm interesting to see how big their mouths are yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:10:03 or how deep their mouths are so that look forward to that Thursday do we want to give Clint a call because he has just said he's gone to the doctor and I'm like you Cal I'm dubious about how bad he sounds I'm just going to find him in my phone
Starting point is 00:10:24 oh and this would be good because it'll come through a block number and he'll assume it's the doctor. True. Should we pretend to be the doctor? Yes. Hello, Clint. It's Dr. Smith here. Okay, O2C...
Starting point is 00:10:34 Oh, 2.7-298. 5-5. Or I wonder if you pretend you're like a pharmacist because if you say Dr. Smith, Willie read right through it. Or are you a nurse? I'll be a nurse. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Hi, Clint, just leave the... Lisa Guder. He's so... Hold on. Hello? Hi, is that Clinton? Yes, there's Clinton. Hi, Clinton, it's just your nurse here.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Ivana, Humpelot. How are you? Oh, hi, sorry. I didn't catch your name. It's her? Havana. My name doesn't matter. Here's the thing. We're just bringing to just a follow up on your, you were at the doctor before, were you? Yes, I was. Yes, and what was the doctor's name? Dr. Humbleau
Starting point is 00:11:38 No, Clint Now let's not bit around the bush You don't sound sick if I'm honest You can easily be at work Oh there was a cough I was just talking to my mum Because mum wants to know what's wrong with me Oh course she bloody does
Starting point is 00:11:58 What'd you say? Nothing Because it sounds like you've got emps you're You sound like you're firing on all cylinders. And I said, hold on, it's the Edge Studio calling me. So I'll just find out what they want. Oh, yeah. Well, we just wanted to know if you're actually fucking sick, and it sounds like you're not.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Well, you don't sound like a real doctor. No, well, I'm not. That was the whole thing, but we got you. Hookline and sinker. Good for you, though. Have you going to impersonate a doctor? Good for you doing a lady doctor. That's very...
Starting point is 00:12:29 No, she was a nurse. Yeah, I said to Dan, I was like, oh, be a nurse. And he was like, okay. Hi, Dad, Dad. You can be a man. No, you know what, my doctor is a woman as well, and she's better. In fact, I changed from a man because he was pathetic and useless. Not that all men, huh?
Starting point is 00:12:47 Well, the doctor I saw this morning was a woman, Dan, so shame on you. Good. She's probably better than most men. So thank you, Clint. Oh, good to know that you're not sick, and you'll be back tomorrow. Yeah, hey, and, you know what? I was feeling sorry for you when I found out that your neighbor's running a job. generator until midnight
Starting point is 00:13:04 but anymore. Oh so you're listening to the show? Oh good. Oh, so it was up early. So not only does he sound fucking perfect,
Starting point is 00:13:12 he was up early, kicking goals, he's been out and about, he's talking to his mum, it sounds like just a normal day. Oh, fuck off. Bye, Clint. See you Thursday.
Starting point is 00:13:26 To watch my Netflix documentaries, please. I tell you he's not watching, he'll be watching the kick on DVD. Bye. See you then, buddy. Bye. Oh, he called me buddy. That pisses me off as well.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Also, see you soon. Is that like tomorrow he's realized he's been caught out? Well, he said he's got a doctor certificate until Thursday, so I don't think he's going to be... Who the fuck is a... You know what? If you get a doctor certificate, especially at this place,
Starting point is 00:13:51 you're lying. You don't need a doctor certificate around here. Now, you know what pisses me off and we can end on this? I just ate an Oreo during that call, and I'm not 100% sure it's one of the ones that weren't down your throat. That's great. Oh, the boss is coming.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Hi, guys. Would you like me to read the text I got from Clint? Yeah. With his explanation. Oh, so this is, okay, so this is a little bit more evidence. Nine o'clock this morning. Okay. Hey, Jack, just been to the docks this morning.
Starting point is 00:14:20 She's given me a med cert in case you need it. Okay, great. So I'm like, okay, he's got his excuse for today. Yeah, they hand him out willingly. All clear, should be back on Thursday. So what about tomorrow? It's been given the All Clear back Thursday All clear. So does he think that tomorrow's Thursday?
Starting point is 00:14:38 I don't know. But it doesn't make any sense. Wait, wait, wait. So hold on. So he's text me as well. This is the message that I received from Clint, Exhibit B. Doc says I won't be able to pass anything on by Thursday. Does he mean that's Wednesday?
Starting point is 00:14:55 And has given me a bunch of things to take. I have message Jacks so maybe if you can pass on to Carl that I won't be in tomorrow. but aim for Thursday. So he does know. He should be here. Anyway, the upshot of that is maybe Meg will be back tomorrow. Should we call Meg?
Starting point is 00:15:11 Because I think she's lying. Did she call me? No, I think she's genuinely sick. I believe Meg. Yeah. She was like, she's so sick. Her husband had to call. So I reckon she's lost her.
Starting point is 00:15:23 She can't talk or whatever. So anyway, we'll be back, hopefully, with Meg tomorrow. If not, it'll be Cal and I again and other shambles of a podcast. Goodbye. Bye.
