Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. Take the edge off your mornings with Clint Meg and Dan. Edge Breakfast. Good morning. Full team, full steam, baby. Two to six. Good morning. It's been a full week since we've been in each other's presents.
Starting point is 00:00:15 Yeah, it has true, isn't it? Yeah, well, welcome back, Meg. How's your husband's nose? Hey, yeah, it's good. He, like, had to do a saline rinse, and he, like, blew a stitch when he ended up looking like blueberry compot all in the sink. Well, that'll teach him for talking back to you, right? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Thank you, Clint. Yeah, he just learned his lesson. Yeah, Mick, he'd butted him and he was into A&E straight away. No, he had something like a septa, septi-o... I actually don't know what it's called. Yeah, they give them such ridiculous names. I know, Clint. He had a deviated septum, and he had something called turbinates
Starting point is 00:00:47 that need to be not enlarged. Terminated. Yes, thank you. Yes. Oh, well, good on him. So he's doing okay, he's doing all right. But, yeah, first surgery in his life, which I thought was impressive, age 34. You don't think I've ever had a surgery?
Starting point is 00:01:01 What? You haven't had surgery? I've had so many that I just thought it was normal that people had had surgery by the side I've never done that thing where they go count backwards from 10 You've never done that! Oh yes I have once for it was like a minor one Like wisdom teeth because they're impacted
Starting point is 00:01:14 So I had to go under for that But that's, no no yeah not really like Being put it under in a surgical room or anything Wow oh my gosh How many times have you done it? 8, 9 10 10 times Yeah I've had lots of surgery
Starting point is 00:01:26 Lots Wow I did not know that Imagine what she used to look like before the surgery I know this is all plastic. Yeah. Stitched behind her ears. Yeah. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Hey, Zara. Hey Jacob. Ten times but under the knife blows my mind. Oh, Jacob says I'm feeling unloved. Thanks for being there. We love you, Jacob. You know what? I love you lots.
Starting point is 00:01:50 The Edge is the home of Clint Meg and Dan. The Edge. Now Darling Meg was away yesterday and missed the movie premiere which we went to, which we'll talk about later on this morning. We did an movie premiere. because we're interviewing a big. Would we say he's an A-Lister? No, not A-Lister.
Starting point is 00:02:05 B-Lister, but well-known enough. This afternoon. But after the movie, I was famished, Klimt. I don't know about you. I was starving. Why are you starving? You ordered like a pepperoni pizza in the movie. Yeah, but I was still hungry.
Starting point is 00:02:18 And it was tiny. I had paid $17 for a pizza. I will say it did look like a... It was like this big meat. Like a little kids pizza. And then I was okay. Sophie, it would have been pissed off. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:02:29 I was. I was. I was. I was. When it came back. When it came out, I said, where's the rest of it? This is the second time I've heard the price. And maybe he was annoyed.
Starting point is 00:02:38 $17. And four slices on it. What's that per slice? $4 just under? Daylight robbery. No, no, just over. It's over. $4.25.
Starting point is 00:02:47 And then he goes, to me, would you like a piece? And I was like, imagine if I took a piece. Honestly, it would have ruined my day. If he'd said yes, I would have gone. Yeah. And I went, no, I'm going to bro. $4.50, please. So anyway.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I was supposed to say I was still hungry when I left. So I left in a huff. And I went to the first cafe, I could first eating place I could find it. It was a cafe. Went in and I said, I'll have a large flat white, please. And then I was like, they had pies in a pie warmer.
Starting point is 00:03:17 I'm like, I'm not going to have a pie. I'm going to be good today. So I had the most. So I had the most 90s meal. I ordered a pinini. You're a female politician. What kind of chicken cranberry, brie? No, it was like,
Starting point is 00:03:29 it was chicken, but then they had like mayonnaise. It was actually quite lovely. I love a pinnetti. So it was a pinnetti. And then they brought my large flat white out. It was a bowl latte. Oh my God. Full bowl latte.
Starting point is 00:03:38 You got transported to the 2000s. I know, honestly. What the hell is this cafe? I loved it. It was delicious. Don't they normally they'll press a panini and like you make them hot for you, but they put lettuce and stuff on that.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I know and miskely and like soggy meskela and just hanging out the sides. I asked for it not to be toasted, but I wish I had because it was, I think it had been sitting in there for about three days. So the panini was very dry. Well, unlike Dan, I'm shrewding for summer. Oh, yeah. After I saw some videos and photos of myself, shirtless a lot, we're in Hawaii,
Starting point is 00:04:10 and so we're in the pool a lot. And I was like, I don't look like that. It's a horrible feeling, is it at clear? Welcome to our world. Yeah. So you finally can relate to something. Yeah, welcome to us normies. Because you normally, if you're seeing yourself,
Starting point is 00:04:23 Shurliss, it'll be like at a bathroom mirror above lighting, so the shadow kind of hits you. and you look obviously a lot better. And I was like, do I look like that? And my wife goes, yeah. And I was like, what am I doing at the gym four days a week? If I look like that. And she was like, well, that's because you eat chips and beer
Starting point is 00:04:40 and you just probably need to like... Can't outrun a bad diet. I know. And so now I'm like, fine. That's what it's taken. Oh, you're going to be miserable. Oh, God, we've got miserable Clint and treating for summer. Wait, hold on.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So if you look at yourself in the mirror and see that and go, oh, geez. What do you think of Meg and I? That does worry me. Honestly, like if you look at us like you're looking at, you still got a fraction of an ab. Easily the hottest, fittest man on the show. And you think you look bad. No, well, you know what, Meg?
Starting point is 00:05:09 I weighed in, I was 87 before I left, right? And wait, I know wait as a stupid way to gauge if you're in shape or not, because it fluctuates a lot. And I've started to realize that because sort on the scales when I go back from holiday, 91. And I was like, that's not right. So I hopped off the scales, hopped back on them, because I was like, they're wrong.
Starting point is 00:05:24 And then it came up 91.2 rubbing in my face with another two Dad, do you weigh less than the moment? I do weigh less than that. Oh, no. They say muscle weighs less than fat, sorry. So then I was at, right, no chips. So I was good used to-day. I had no chips and had no beer.
Starting point is 00:05:38 And I weighed in this morning and I was 89.2. So I've lost two kilos. Okay, so that's just all water weight anyway. That doesn't make anything. I think I'm 91, so no, you've gone below me again, annoying. One thing I had over you. One day. You didn't even know it.
Starting point is 00:05:52 I was the lightest man on the show for like 24 hours. Get your Clint McGinn, Dan Fax. First call of the day! First call of the day! One of our favourite, I think, listeners, Zara, morning. Hey, Zara. Hi, Zara, you were just in Queensland. How was it?
Starting point is 00:06:12 It was so good. I actually got yes to the cold weather, and now that I'm back home, I'm like hot. Now they're in Tohunga. This is in Queensland's such a beautiful part of the country. Traditionally, obviously, a tourist town. A lot of Australians there at the moment. Did you notice that, actually, Zara, lots of Australians there?
Starting point is 00:06:29 Yeah, I did a couple of activities, and like 90% of the group was from Australia. Wow. But more and more so nowadays, people moving there to live. Like, I know a couple of people that have moved down there to do work, because obviously the population's growing there, so there's more work. So, yeah, a great part of the country. Were you there for your birthday? Because you recently just turned 22, didn't you?
Starting point is 00:06:50 Yeah, not yesterday, Monday. Oh, happy birthday for Monday. Thank you. What do you do to celebrate a 22nd? because it's obviously not the milestone of 21. Well, while we were there, we did the world's thesis tree to trees at line, and then on my actual birthday I did the world's biggest swing. And what does a 22-year-old want for their birthday?
Starting point is 00:07:14 Like, what's the thing? I actually don't know. I kind of just got money to help with the trip. Okay, yeah, fair enough. Yeah, and it says here you're a day-key reliever. Is that sort of like a reliever teacher at a school? you just roll out a TV and play, put on some kids shows. Well, I work for a specific agency,
Starting point is 00:07:38 so I got a lots of different centres around where I'm from. That's good, because then if you get those annoying kids, you don't have to be stuck with them like every... Yeah, but it's a tough one. You must have a really good immune system because I feel like if they need a relieve it, it's because everybody's sick. Yeah, true.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Especially at the moment. Yeah. Now, be honest, Zara, do you have your favourites and do you have the kids that you're like, I hate you? I would despise you, you little shit. No. Oh, piss off you do. Don't lie.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Good thing to say. Good thing to say. I reckon you do. Well, enjoy being 22. I reckon life begins at 40. There's a song in that. There's a song in that. Oh, yeah, we can play here a song. Yeah, if only had it at his fingertips.
Starting point is 00:08:15 If only there was a song about being 22. Action. Oh, Glenn. You needed to come in. Quack, that's impressive, Clint. Well done. Here's the best. Here's the best.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Happy birthday, Sarah. No songs about being 42, are there? Because it's me next day, I'm doing a parody clip for you. Maybe. Yes, I'm not about you, but I'm feeling 42. That's great. Write it down.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Put it in the white one. I expect it for my birthday. But all the things that you make you feel 42. You're grunt when you stand up. You get LBL. If you overfall, it's nerve-wracking. Clint McGahn's scandal. Kelly Osborne has spoken out about her dramatic weight loss saying,
Starting point is 00:09:03 I look back and see I look like the effing cryptkeeper. I couldn't see what other people saw because I was in so much pain after losing my dad. She also recalled a dress fitting in the latest grommies when she thought this is scary. I didn't know I looked like this. My spine, you could see every single bone. So it looks like she's on the end. If you remember, Kelly Osmond did look very unwell. It just looked shocking, eh?
Starting point is 00:09:21 Like it was... And her and her mother as well. They were like... And obviously going through a lot of stuff with when Ozzie died. But man... Yeah. I was so scared for them. Incredibly painful.
Starting point is 00:09:31 And Edcher and his opened up about his favorite memorabil. memorabilia that he is collected. I bought the knife from the first scene of Goodfellas. I got it from Prop Store, yeah. I was meant to just only buy movie props on my birthday. Rufio's Sword Plus Pan's outfit from Hook. Yeah, I bought the Jumanji set, the original one.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Like the board, with the pieces. I've got Batgoo as well. And he said, I watched the interview, he said he put the Peter Pan costume on. And he was like, this is weird, and took it off and put it in a plinth. I love that guy to me. He's the perfect famous guy who just kept saying yes to things
Starting point is 00:10:02 because he's rich and famous. Robin Williams' Jumungi original game from the foot the board game. And the Robin Williams Peter Pan suit from Hook. So he's like a massive Robin Williams fan. Okay, maybe we could do this. What would you buy? What memorabilia from what movie?
Starting point is 00:10:18 If it doesn't matter how much money it costs, you just get to choose one thing, one prop from one film and they will give it to you. What are you taking? Gandalf's hat. Just hits. In Auckland. The edge.
Starting point is 00:10:33 The edge. Clint Meg and Dan. No need to explain that one. I think we get that. I think I'd get like a massive pile of money or something. You know, like when the Joker slides down and in the Batman movie, the dark night. She's like, where are we putting this? It's not actual money.
Starting point is 00:10:49 No, it's like, let's spend it. Fake money. What is it for you? I'll wait under the edge. Listen live weekdays from Sex on Rover and Catch Up Wherever. This is Clint, Megan Dan. The Edge. If you could.
Starting point is 00:11:01 purchase and money was no option you just got like one free you got like a voucher where you got to take a piece of memorabilia from a film what is it? I'd share another was quite he's got a lot but the one that surprised me was the original board game of Jumanji yeah which I think he paid like
Starting point is 00:11:17 $400,000 for or something Damn amazing isn't it? But that's just a drop in the ocean for him in it yeah it's just he's in that fun space at the moment he's made enough money he's got his wife he's got his kids and he's just saying yes yeah did you notice as well he said that he's only allowed to buy a movie memorabilia on his birthday.
Starting point is 00:11:35 So he's obviously bought so much as his wife's like, right, as a birthday gift to yourself, you can. It's kind of like when I started eating too many bags of chips. So my wife started limiting them and I was only allowed to eat bags of chips on a Sunday. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of people texting in things that they would buy from movies. The Captain America Shield, Thor's Hammer, came through the flux capacitor from Back to the Future that's in the Delorean.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Anything from Marvel movies. the Darth Vader costume, Nathan says. Now that's a good idea. Imagine having the legit Darth Vader costume. Jacob wants the raptor from the first Jurassic Park. Wouldn't you rather one of the Jeeps? Because I've gone...
Starting point is 00:12:13 What are you going to keep that though? People are thinking like realistically. Well, no, I wanted the shaggin wagon from Dumb and Dumber. You know when one of the guys like turns his van into a dog? Out of any anything, that's what you want. Because I can drive around the shaggin wagon.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Chicks love it. Can I do the Swedish made penis in large? from Austin Powers? Yes. Good. Otherwise, I want the Jamaican bobsled from Cool Runnings. Oh my God, honestly.
Starting point is 00:12:40 I would have it in my garage. I'd be like, that is the bobsled that they raced, the Jamaican bobset team raced in Cool Runnings. And then crashed at the end. Do you know what? I might have it suspended
Starting point is 00:12:49 hanging from the ceiling of the lounge. Dangerous. I thought about this. I think of all the things I would get is either a lightsaber from Star Wars. I don't know you're a Star Wars guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:00 What do that. I can get the toy versions of those. No, but like a proper, legit one, or the Batmobile. Imagine driving around in the Tumblr from the Dark Night. That would be epic. Or the 90s Batman. I think it's something small, like a little faxophile from David Prince's desk. What a waste.
Starting point is 00:13:18 That would be worth nothing. You got any item and you went with that. They'll be like, look at this faxifol and they'll be like, yeah, what's that? And they'll be like, David Brent. They'll be like, who's David Brent? It's a lot of X place. It's a lot of its place. And then when they finally get in any.
Starting point is 00:13:30 from any movie. What a loser. Yeah, that is so true. One of the original gloves, someone else has said from Nightmare on Elm Street. William Wallace's Sword from Braveheart, that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:13:40 That'd be a great one. That's Mel Gibson, isn't it? Yeah, Mel Gibson. I wonder what that would even be worth. Let me have a look. Probably quite a bit. Yeah. I know Survivor,
Starting point is 00:13:48 another one of my favourite TV shows, at the end of the series, you can actually go online and purchase items from the show and all the money in the proceeds go to charity. What about the Mrs. Doubtfire costume?
Starting point is 00:13:59 Oh, I'm putting that on. Yeah. It would be fun. Jacob's called on 0800 The Edge. Now Jacob is the one. You wanted the raptor claw from Jurassic Park. Yeah, what's wrong with that?
Starting point is 00:14:10 I think it's a good one. Especially if it's a legit claw, you'd think that maybe they would have got a legit one. That would be epic. Especially now that Alan Grant himself has passed away, I just thought it would be a bit more special. Yeah, Sam Neal. I just think if you could have any item from the set of Jurassic Park.
Starting point is 00:14:30 surely there's something of more value or more impressive when people come over. The T-Rex animatronic? Even like you could get the whole skeleton, the whole T-Rex skeleton. That'd be great. Good on you, Jacob. If you wanted that sword,
Starting point is 00:14:43 you'd have to buy it off the person who bought it for 140,000. Bargain. They got a bargain. Really? Although it does say it's a screen-matched hero used by Mald Gibson, so maybe there's more than one. Apparently as well, I was looking at weird movie props sold.
Starting point is 00:14:58 And so there was a Merkin. that Kate Winslet wore in Titanic, and that sold for $130. $130? Just $130. No. I swear! That's so creepy. That's so sad.
Starting point is 00:15:13 I'd be gutted if my Merkin only sold for $130. Oh, you'd be lucky you've got $100.000. Listen live weekdays from Sex on Rover and Catch Up Wherever. This is Clint, Meg and Dan. The Edge. It's time to get naughty at 640. I want you try to imagine a situation that I was in. where I make my coffee every morning.
Starting point is 00:15:33 We come to work, don't we? Dan, you bring your little coffee in your coffee cup. Yeah, my little coffee that I make at work and my Frank Green, yeah. Do you make that at work? I mean, sorry, at home, I do. And then I drink it on the way in. I've recently started copying that. I used to make my coffees at here at work,
Starting point is 00:15:47 and then now I have a little filter coffee at home. Anyway, make it come in, get up at 4 in the morning, nothing like a good hot coffee. And as I take a sip, I feel a lump of something which a lump of something not normal inside a coffee
Starting point is 00:16:04 Unless you've got like one of those coffees with the you know those Korean ones with the little balls Or little boba balls Yeah no this wasn't a boba ball coffee Right Marshmallow No yeah no no I hadn't put margillows
Starting point is 00:16:15 And I and I kind of swirled it in my mouth a little bit Because you're trying to work out what it is Someone would take it out and check and Meg's like Hold on let me see if I can eat that It was just the second And I was like I moved it around two a tooth and I did a little bite Oh God! A little bite?
Starting point is 00:16:33 Because I was like, what is that? It could be something yummy. Yeah, absolutely. It could be a little biscuit or something that's fallen in there. She would have to be talking about it on the radio if it was a yummy biscuit. Well, hopefully not actually. So I then go, hmm, what's that? Yeah, and it was a biscuit. I know, what's that?
Starting point is 00:16:47 I put my finger inside my mouth and go, what's that? And look at that. It's a little baby cockroach that I've just had a little munch on. You had a cockroach in your mouth. I had a cockroach in my mouth. Now, Clint, I'd go there. Let's just avoid the obvious joke, okay? Because it is, it's disgusting in itself, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:17:06 A cockroach. I threw it out, and I ran around. Yeah, it was here. It was actually when you were away, Clint. I witnessed it, and she went like this. She went, ah. And I thought she was honestly having some sort of existential crisis. It was.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Was that because you got like an old mug from the cupboard and there was a roach, dead roach inside it? I promise, I do not know how this. happened. I clean my little ninja cub every day. I don't know if it got stuck in the cap. I don't know if it was in the coffee and I pulled my coffee in and it was a little bug in there. She was going, but it was a full
Starting point is 00:17:38 I've got a photo of it. Would you like to see it, Claire? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually, I think it's a cock, Grudge. It could be something else, but it's some sort of brown bug, fully intact. I mean, just... It's disgusting. You ever had a chomp on it as well, like, just forward down. I know, I just had a little with it. But, not my first, so one time I went and bought a milkshake,
Starting point is 00:17:55 and I sucked up the straw, And I had somebody else's hair go down my throat and I had to like, like try and pull it out of my mouth. Like a rope. Was it dead when it came out, obviously, wasn't it? The bug? Yeah, the cockroach.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Yeah, the bug was very dead. Yeah, so I don't know if there was pre-bite. Wow, some of them lived through like... That's what I was going to say. They can live through an apocalypse, but not Meg's mouth. Not a bite from my mouth. Yuck, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:20 It was absolutely foul. I mean, my wife's had my pubs in her mouth. But that was because... Glenn. Oh, man. It's been naughty. Oh, man. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have led with that.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Jesus. That's because I shaved. Oh, man. Oh, my God, Megan, it's too big. Yeah, I know. No, I shaved, and I cleaned up afterwards. A bit of manskeeping. And my wife's been doing sinus rinses because she got some nose surgery stuff done.
Starting point is 00:18:46 And it turns out some of the clippings went into her sinus rinse container. And then she started squirted and threw her nose. And it goes through her nose and out her mouth. And she goes, have you been shaving your face again? in the sink and I was like, nope. Honestly, Clint, I think that would be grounds for me leaving you if I was your wife. Especially since the only reason she's doing sinus rins.
Starting point is 00:19:06 And I know it's now because my husband just had the surgery is to make sure there's no infection. Yeah. No, I run a pretty clean setup, though. It's disgusting. I mean, there's knowing someone and then there's snorting their pubes. It's true. Dad, have you...
Starting point is 00:19:17 Okay, what do you rather? Meets cockroach. My cockroach in your mouth? Or my pubs? I think I'd rather have the cockroach. Nice little guy. Honestly. Just whatever that is.
Starting point is 00:19:26 It's not even that little. Geez, the legs are still intact. You can't have bitten down too hard because he's still... No, I just kind of swirled him around. I think I'd have at least three cockroaches in my mouth before the pubs. And don't eat it out roaches, please, and then play that somewhere. What's the worst thing you've had in your mouth, that you've swallowed or eaten something, and then you look down and you realize that's not right.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Okay. We've all done it. Is that what we doing, are we? Yes, Dan, that's what we do. Clint, is there nothing else in the news? I actually do like what's the worst thing you've had in your mouth. Thank you. What?
Starting point is 00:19:53 Give me something better then? Well, I don't at this short notice. Your favorite radio show And podcast for Edge Breakfast Clint Megan Dan What was the worst thing That you've had in your mouth
Starting point is 00:20:06 Yeah I had a lovely coffee out of my Whatever of these portable coffee cups Felt something hard in my mouth Put it between my teeth And go what's that Pulled it out And it's a full bug Just a full cockroach
Starting point is 00:20:17 Some sort of brown shulled bug All its legs Just I don't know if it died in my mouth I don't know if it died in my coffee And I haven't been able to be quite settled since. Yeah, well, as we said before, they famously can survive an atomic blast,
Starting point is 00:20:31 yet Meg's teeth crunching down on it, really killed it. La, la la, la. Yuck, yuck. Disgusting. So what's the worst thing you've had in your mouth is what we're doing this morning? Let's go to Sarah.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Morning, Sarah? Good morning. It wasn't me, but my sister. Okay. So she was sucking on a chab-a-chub. And she was eating away, halfway through eating it, cracked the top.
Starting point is 00:20:50 You know, how you get the air bubble. Yeah. And it just, like, spewed out with ants. No, no. No, I never read another chupp-a-chub. Are you joking? I didn't know that was bad. He's 24 years.
Starting point is 00:21:01 We've never had another one. Dan, it's a chupp-a-chup, not a chub-a-chub. Oh, whatever it was. You don't want a chub-a-chub in your mouth? Maybe it does. Maybe it does. You know how some of them have fizzy scented. You chew into her as you go, oh, that's a bit fizzy?
Starting point is 00:21:14 What's that? Wait, are we still talking about chub-a-chubes? Yucky, yucky, yucky. Melissa, what was the worst thing you've had in your mouth? I had an espresso machine. and one day, you know, you pop the top open and put the pod in. Like a, I'm going to say like a three-inch cockroach crawled out. Three-inch?
Starting point is 00:21:35 It was massive. It was one of the big mama ones. And then we checked the back. Three inches massive. That's very, very big. And then you look at the back where the water goes in, and there's probably like 500 babies floating in there. 500 babies.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Now, Melissa. And then the dad crawled out as well. Honestly, Melissa, this is a wake-up call for you. And I hope it was. The fact that you've got a family of cockroaches nesting in your nespresso makes you think. And I hope it did that you need to clean your house a bit more often. No way.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I was just giving them a place to live. But safe to say, that nespressso machine is in the bin and I'm traumatized. Okay, good. I'm glad you threw it out. Oh, 500 babies. Can I just thank you, Melissa. Imagine when you're... bitten your cockroach, it might have spewed up babies.
Starting point is 00:22:25 You might have swollen. Can I just go back to Melissa? And can I just please thank you, Melissa, for saying three inches is massive, because you've done a lot of dudes of favour there. They feel good this morning. No worry. Thank you. And Gavin, what's the worst thing you've had in your mouth?
Starting point is 00:22:41 Good morning. Morning. Can you hear me? Yeah, we can hear you. Loud and clear. Very good. I, yeah, sorry, this might ruin it for listeners in their morning coffee. but I was in Brisbane, so nothing to do with New Zealand,
Starting point is 00:22:57 but I got a takeaway place for me and got back to the coffee to work and gave him his and mine, and I took my first sip, which I love that first sip of a flat white where you get a nice creamy taste. I didn't get that. I got something else in my mouth, and I thought, that feels weird, took it out, and it was a green snot with nasal heads through it. and my colleague actually dry reached and threw up. And I've had PTSD ever since.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Why? Why? They snobinged into the top of your coffee. They snobrogged it in. I couldn't believe it. How bad a customer were you? Have you returned your coffee? The first one because it wasn't hot enough or something?
Starting point is 00:23:42 Had it on the top of the cup, showed it to her. And she was like, oh, I don't know what that is and flicked it off. And I was like, oh my God. Last time I'll be going to that cafe. Go away, Gail. Go away. Go away. You honestly ruined our day there.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Yeah, it actually has. We went high from Melissa say three inches as massive to the worst load. I mean, to be fair, we asked for it. We were doing a phoneer. What is the worst thing you've had in your mouth? I think we bring it back tomorrow. No, I enjoyed it. Gavin's top.
Starting point is 00:24:12 No one's been Gavin. No one's being Kevin. Easy money next on the edge. money. Two-bar seven thousand bucks on the line. The letter this morning is I for India. If you can give us 10 answers and 30 seconds. Cash is yours, he can pass.
Starting point is 00:24:33 You just can't repeat the same answer twice. You've just given them a clue there, Clint. Hey, Ellie. Good morning, how's it going, guys? Good. Is this Ellie who won a few weeks back? No, wish. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Well, maybe there's luck in your name then, because our last winner wasn't, Ellie. That's true. Okay. Oh, fingers crossed. All right, Ellie, have you been feeling good about I? Yep. Yep. You can do this.
Starting point is 00:24:57 You sound positive and you sound like you've got your head screwed on, so good luck. Okay, time starts at the end of Meg. I've had a coffee. Oh, great. Hopefully a good one. A lot of people had to spit out their coffee this morning. Yeah, we don't talk about that. I know.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Brank. All right. Time starts at the end of Meg asking your first question. Here we go. Sorry. Yuck. Okay. Give me a country.
Starting point is 00:25:20 India. Something sweet. Ice cream. A boy's name. Isaac. Something that you plug in. Pass. A colour.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Indigo. Something you buy from a chemist. A movie. Infection cream. A movie. Ice age. A band. Imagine Dragon.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Something that makes you laugh. Iceblocks. A five-liter word. That was question ten. Something that makes you laugh. Wait, hold a second, guys. Ice blocks. Yeah, she's got laughing.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I was hardly. It would be very hard to argue. If Ellie finds ice blocks funny, No, I would not award ice blocks for something funny. I'm sorry. Okay, but what if we said something scary and someone said crumpets? Some people are scared of the things with holes in. And listen to this, Ellie.
Starting point is 00:26:14 You know, ice blocks. What's the ice blocks? It's with sticks. Yeah, the cracker be. Oh, Jesus. Those wooden sticks on your hang, it's like out of it feeling. Oh, yes. Oh, you are right.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Get out of here, you little cheetah. Thanks, Ellie. Right. Coming down next, because I'm really excited about this. I want to hear the song that I miss. yesterday from Flat Idol. Oh yeah, and vying for six tickets to R&V putting together the original songs. Some of them are great and some of them are...
Starting point is 00:26:44 Some of them are songs. This is the Clint Meg and Dan catch up. Want to hear the guys off here and a little looser? Listen and watch their Overthinkers podcast. It's Flat Idol. Yeah, five flats going head to head to try and win six tickets to R&V, VIP Vintage Club upgrade and accommodation. They had to create original songs.
Starting point is 00:27:05 They could do that in any which way that they had decided. But of course, using AI means you've taken an easy route. And I think on Monday, correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but I think the one on Monday, although it was great, I do believe there was AI somewhere in there. Still could write the lyrics, I suppose. Yeah. We've earned our stripes.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Four day bend is questionable nights. That part. It says no, but our heart say yes. Gatsy because I think the girl said that they all sang. And it's funny because I think the girls said that they all sang on that, but that sounds like an AI voice to me. You can put your voice into AI and then get it to replicate that in song. What if all five girls have sung the song and then AI has taken their five voices
Starting point is 00:27:48 and turned it into that one female voice? But it's still not as good as the people yesterday who took an existing song, fair, and wrote a parody to it but sung it like sung it real. You haven't heard it, Meg. No, I haven't. It felt like they couldn't agree on which song to parody, so they parodied two songs and put them together as one. They start off doing a Dolly Pardon cover.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Oh yeah, I sang this in a production. The production is not as good as AI. We're checking our bags, yeah, we're heading to Gisbon. Gisbon, gold is our cup of and fish. From the capital city, so our vibes are always high. Knitting the holes where the two and two started. Meg Clinton and Dad don't leave us broken heart, and we need to be dancing through the vines from night.
Starting point is 00:28:30 9 to 5 a.m. I mean, if you think about what they've had... 9 to 5 a.m. because they don't want to go 9 in the morning to 5pm and then go to bed. I get that. But I was just saying, if you think about what they've had to do real court, they have to set up a mic, they've had to write the lyrics, they've had to do all that stuff, mix it all together. Whereas the other people technically didn't do anything except put some prompts into a machine.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Okay. I mean, that is something to consider as a member of the jury. And on Friday, you'll get a chance to vote. I think they should have just dropped the Dolly pardon, RIP. Where's the other part? Just going with the boy band 5. I think the vibe was higher. How'd they get to there?
Starting point is 00:29:08 They can't keep up with the pace as well though. I can't understand a single word. I think they should have nominated one person to do the singer. Yeah, one rat and they all do the chorus. How did they link those songs? Oh, they just, one finishes and then the music scratch changed into this. But I said, you know what? I think that was clear.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I think it's much more clever than putting it into AI. I'm sorry, I'm sick of AI. Do you have an ex-girlfriend or something in this flat? What is with you in the 2-1-2? I just prefer people doing stuff legit than putting it into AI. I could literally make a song now in 30 seconds on AI. Go on. Well, if you want me to, I will.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Yeah, go on. The song about ice-lock. Is AI your dad, Clint? Like, what are you trying to do? I could give you a song, but you said 30 seconds. There's no point. Okay, starting now. Okay, you've got 30 seconds
Starting point is 00:30:04 You're gonna stand by your word on this show, don't you? Meg, I've got a cable you can plug into his phone so we can play it through the desk. I've got it right here. You go. Okay. How much time has he got left? Okay, 20 seconds left.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Okay, he's made a song. You've done it in 10? Okay, so I plug it in. I've done fun. What's the song about? 20 seconds. I've just written a fun, boppy, energy track. Have you put lyrics? Well, I can copy and paste some lyrics.
Starting point is 00:30:30 You've got five, four, four. Write something, write anything. There we go, it's playing. One. Okay. It's very fun and poppy. Oh, it should be playing. It's playing, it's playing, so the thing's not working.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Oh, okay, sounds like I have some technical differently. The girls didn't, here we go. The girls didn't have that. This is AI, by the way. What's the song about? It's about a fun day out. Fun. Fun.
Starting point is 00:31:17 The thing is, I made that in less than 30 seconds. You made your point. So anybody can do it. Okay, all right. It's a thing called Suno. It's incredible, really, isn't it? Something to consider us, like? No, you just said you hate AI.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Yeah, it is. It's incredible, though. It's incredibly stupid. It is. We hate it, and it's ruining songwriting. I honestly hate AI. I genuinely hate it. Flat number three is going to be debuting their song
Starting point is 00:31:43 just before 830 this morning, so you can be the judge. That is literally what. we need you to do. Megg and Dan, Edge Breakfast. Megg's back after having a day off yesterday because her husband had a nose job. No, well, well, an internal nose job indeed, yeah, yeah. Do you think his nose is going to look any different though?
Starting point is 00:31:59 No, they said that. I googled it and it said it was just the inside. That counts. He's got a good-looking nose that, isn't he? Normal looking? It's all in proportion and stuff. It's pretty good. It's actually pretty good as far as the noses go. Meg, yesterday we're talking about, and maybe you'll have a story for this, but if you've had a bad experience in the past and so you're a type of person that will never hand your phone over to somebody else. You'll always hold it to show them, but you will never give it to them, unsupervised. After, when I was in Hawaii, bundled this guy, Gabriel, who was an American working in the resort,
Starting point is 00:32:34 but he had been to New Zealand and done a lot of travelling through the South Island. So we got talking about a bunch of places. And I said, oh, when you're talking about lakes, I said, have you been to Lake Teakapur? It's beautiful. And he goes, I don't know if I have. I said, I'll show you a photo. So I found a photo and then I found a video and I was like, look how crystal clear the water is. Sunny.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And as the video started playing and I started showing him, I realized it was being a bit immature. And I started filming myself urinating into the lake. So I could submit it to an Instagram page that I follow that producer Carl introduced me to called scenic pisses. It's disgusting. It's a beautiful, literally a beautiful clear lake. And the reason they, what? But you must have remembered when you started showing him the video that this was the time you weed into the lake. Nah, it was like two years ago.
Starting point is 00:33:16 So I was like mid-convo. You know, I'm trying to frantically find a video that I've committed to looking for while continuing a combo. And then I was just like, oh, that's sorry, that's me. And he goes, taking a piss? And I was like, yeah. In the lake? Can I also say, like, it's a great followers? Can we all just condemn Clint from New Zealand for peeing in one of our most beautiful lakes?
Starting point is 00:33:35 Oh, we've all taken a piss in a lake on the beach. Not purposely like that. Oh, producer carl. It's got like 1.5 million followers. It's disgusting. It's a fun page. It's a great page. By the way, yeah, Scenic Piss on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:33:48 If you want to, if you want to check it out, just text Pistor 3, 3, 4, 3. Oh, the bounce back stool. Yeah. Producer Brady? I pissed in late Tech Poh, as well. Yeah. Never swimming in it again. Honestly, I think I'd have a swim in there
Starting point is 00:34:02 and had a gulp of the water and said to Hannah my wife and we're on our honeymoon. Taste the water, it's so fresh. Bit of Clint's pissing. I genuinely think I did that. And I remember, laying on my back, taking a gulp of war, and then I'm blowing it out like a dolphin, you know,
Starting point is 00:34:18 and going, because this is just the best. Not knowing that. Yeah, well, now we've got your saliva in this leg, too. Disgusting. So anyway, I didn't realize when I handed it to him that he was going to see me doing that. And people, we're inundated with people who caught up telling us why they will never hand their phone over to people unsupervised again. Crate Day last year, I took a video of my boyfriend trying to finish his crate. I showed my family this video
Starting point is 00:34:44 and then they continued to swipe and ended up seeing an R-rated video of him chasing me on Crape Day. Sasha says I let my boss scroll through my phone to look at our house that we just bought. She kept scrolling and then saw pics that I'd sent to my partner the night before.
Starting point is 00:35:01 My mother-in-law was scrolling-looking photos of her grandson, scroll too far and sort of photo of my hemorrhoeing. That is shocking, eh? Because you wouldn't know at first what it was? You'd be like that? What is that? Zoom in.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Yeah. So anyway. Yeah, so we got in and dated and we didn't get a chance to get to them all. So if you've got a story about why you'll never hand your phone over to people again, because the notification popped up or, I don't know, they scrolled too far. Let us know what happened. Somewhere in my phone, deep in the trenches somewhere, there's a photo of my stitches between my vagina and my bum to try and see how they were healing.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Now, here's the thing, me, why haven't you deleted that? You don't need that anymore. Well, I just don't think I thought, it's somewhere in there, and just thought, you know, tied part. The jar so stitches. Pass me your phone and I'll find it and delete it. Okay, 0,800. I definitely won't send it around. Get your Clint Meg and Dan Fix.
Starting point is 00:35:51 The Edge. I'd love to hear from your 0800 The Edge, why you will never hand your phone over to another human being unsupervised again. Jackie. Morning Jackie? Morning, back. So this happened to you,
Starting point is 00:36:02 or is it your husband at Bunnings? That was me, actually. I had to pick him up something from Bunnings, and I didn't know where to find it, so I gave it to the guy at the counter. And I said, where do I find these? And just as I handed it over to him, you know how you're enlarged a photo? Well, it dropped, and the message of me asking my husband for some money and his very raunchy reply,
Starting point is 00:36:25 and the young boy was only like 17 or 18, and he read it. And I was wondering why he was really nervous about. Oh, that poor kid. Hold on. That was poor kids. What did your husband want you to do for money? Well I think we can all guess
Starting point is 00:36:43 Okay thank you Don't worry Jackie I'm not going to make you say that We can all guess I try setting up that payment system With my wife But it doesn't work It's risky business
Starting point is 00:36:52 I got credit cards You all links to the same place You need to put stuff in hidden folders Hey You need to learn about them Take the edge of your day With Clint Meg and Dan I was showing a guy
Starting point is 00:37:04 New Zealand showing off to an American guy about how beautiful our country is and I showed him a video that eventually started playing and I forgot in this video of this beautiful Lake Tecapur you start seeing my stream
Starting point is 00:37:15 into frame as I start peeing into it He even said that yesterday he hadn't cropped out his junk as well So that was in there Well you're gonna send that to An Instagram page
Starting point is 00:37:27 Full of millions of followers Oh no you crop it out It's just the stream And it's on scenic piss If you want to follow on Instagram It's just mostly guys Doing wheeze into beautiful beautiful picturesque landscapes.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Anyway, I was immature then. It was like 2024. So I'd like to know why you won't hand your phone over or show a stranger your phone anymore. Like this one that says, I was showing my boss a video on Insta. While we were watching it,
Starting point is 00:37:53 a text notification popped up from a friend. And at the start of the message, and I can just kind of see the start of it. It read, your boss sounds like a real bitch. Oh, no. Oh, nightmare. Oh, that makes me. Sick.
Starting point is 00:38:08 You know what? I'd rather a nude. Yeah. I'd rather a nude. 100%. Oh, that's like Sophie's choice. I don't know. It's cracking up.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I think he'd rather see your boss is a real bitch than one of your nudes. Oh, that's rude. All right. It's good at John. I went to the edge morning. The HR nightmare. Morning, John. Hello.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Hello. So what did a person see on your phone? Well, I was at six years. And I handed over my phone so they could sit. like a voucher or... Yeah. As you do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Get some cheaper sushi. Yeah. Sush of the day. Yeah. And when she handed the phone back, I looked at it and I had a grinder notification that said, I want to F you. The real subtle on Grindr-A. Poor sushi guy.
Starting point is 00:38:56 All he wrote was supporting. Oh, great. I love that. Do the guy that ticks you ever get to do that? No, he didn't actually. Oh, what a shame. He just got some nice. Did you get your sushi
Starting point is 00:39:08 did you get your sushi the day out of interest, John? Well, I've never been back there. Yeah. There's plenty of them. Morning, Kelsey. Morning, guys.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Yeah, whatever to you, Kals. So it wasn't my phone. It was my husband's phone. Uh-oh. And he had a really flattering picture of me on there from after we'd had Mommy and Daddy Cuddles, you know?
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah, oh, yes. Yeah, yeah. So we went to a wedding where he was a groomsman, and we'd asked one of the other groomsmen to take a photo of us. And I, like, jokingly said as he passed his phone over, oh, don't scroll through any photos. Yeah. Like joking, not joking, but don't look through his phone.
Starting point is 00:39:53 And so the guy was standing there, we thought, taking a photo of us, and he was standing there, like, with the phone up, as if he was taking a picture. Oh, but he was scrolling. He's kind of gross. Yeah, he started cracking up laughing, and then we grabbed the phone. going back to see this picture of me on the screen.
Starting point is 00:40:09 And he had head swiped, and it wasn't that far back, he had swiped onto this picture and not actually taking a photo of us. And I was just, oh, my, I was absolutely mortified. Were you nude in the photo? Oh, yeah. Oh, gorgeous. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:26 Yeah. You know what? You know what? And that's on your husband, because if your wife's going to let you take lovely photos like that, you've got to instantly put them in a hidden photo. Definitely, speaking from experience. Because otherwise, I guess. I'm guessing Kelsey, you don't take many photos like that for him anymore.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Oh, he doesn't get them anymore. No, no. No, no, no. I'm pretty sure that was the last time he ever took a photo, and that was the last time he ever handed the phone over to him. Yeah. There you go, lads. Let's be a lesson to all of us.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Because of Kelsey's husband's mistake. That wasn't accidental. That guy's a creep. Like, have you even said, don't go through it, and then he even started swiping. Yeah. That's weird. Yeah, very much so. Uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:00 My phone is full of horrendous wounds from patients. Oh, yeah. No identifying feature. but they are pretty gross. I have to apologise every time I show the photo to someone accidentally when they're scrolling. I wonder why you're having to take photos of those on your personal phone. Maybe it's a work phone though.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Must be a work phone. Granddad was looking for parts for his model trains, so I said, I've got an Amazon account, so the whole family gathered around my phone while I showed them where to purchase it. But that is when the hub. The hub popped up on the screen and everyone realized you couldn't buy any train parts from there.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Close your tabs. It's 101. Dan, you've definitely done that before. I never, never. I never have. You've always closed the tab? 100%. Straight after.
Starting point is 00:41:47 See you later. See you later. Gone. Out of sight, out of mind. Scannell headline next. You won't believe what Edguren owns from different movies, well-lo movies that none of us could ever afford.
Starting point is 00:42:00 And the most expensive movie prop ever heard of. Sold on the market. Blow your mind. Listen to your favourite breakfast show whenever you like. Clint Meg and Dan, The Edge. In scandal, Meg was telling us that Ed Shearin is now only allowed to purchase a movie memorabilia on his birthday as a gift from him to him.
Starting point is 00:42:19 And he owns the Jumanji board game. Did he say what he paid for that? No, but I'll look it up in the background. He didn't know. Yeah, I think it was, from memory, it was like hundreds of thousands of dollars. So it was affordable for him. For me, I think, owning the shaggin wagon from Dumb and Dama. It'd be pretty cool. I don't even know what that is.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Is that that big? dog. Yeah, he turns his van into a dog. Yeah. Chicks love it. Well, I've done a bit of research behind the scenes of some of the most expensive movie props ever resold on the market and then how much they fetched. And some of them are crazy.
Starting point is 00:42:49 So number 10 on this list, I'm just on the top 10. You could do the top 100. The top 10, Adagon's Sword from Lord of the Rings. Yeah, I would love that. And these are all in US dollars, so double it for New Zealand. $437,000 that sold for a few years ago. I'd be worried you're going to get a replica. Like, how do you know?
Starting point is 00:43:11 Well, I think these sort of things, there's special auctions for them and there's an authentication process that they go through to prove that it is authentic. And these are all proven authentic pieces. I suppose it's like art buying a piece of art. Yeah. Number nine, Sandy's jacket from Greece at the end when she's doing, you're the one that I want, that leather jacket where she turns hot.
Starting point is 00:43:31 You know, where she goes out. When she goes sexy. Oh, she's not hot in her little daisy, flowy dresses? Well, I think she's more innocent and stuff And now when she comes back after this, she's all sexual. Sold for $476,000 US. Then we get to number eight, Indiana Jones's fedora From the first Indiana Jones movie,
Starting point is 00:43:52 630,000 US that sold for. For a hat. And apparently it was worn only by Harrison Ford for two hours during the filming because there was multiple fedoras. and so he only wore it for two hours and that was the one that sold for that's a million dollars New Zealand Number seven, one of the most iconic movie props
Starting point is 00:44:12 in history, the door from Titanic where they're laying on the door and there's controversy about whether Jack could have fitted on it. No, I think Mythbusters did an episode on that there's definitely room for them both and she hogged it. $720,000 that sold for and someone's actually got that in their house now on the wall.
Starting point is 00:44:30 But if you do want a cheap piece of Titanic memorabilia, Dan said that Rose's murkin went for 130 bucks. The murkins she wore in the scenes. That's insulting to Rose, actually. I agree. Actually, some of these things, like Harrison Ford, I'd be pissed if that sold and I didn't get any money. The only reason people want that is because I wore it and made it famous.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Yeah. Right. It's incredible how much they get asked about the door, from Titanic when they do interviews, either Kate or Leo. They must get sick of getting asked about it. Yeah, I guess if you are Harrison Ford, you'd be like, damn, why don't I take a hat? I know.
Starting point is 00:45:00 I was six of them. I should have taken one of them. Yeah, I think he'll be fine. He's got enough money. Number six, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the actual car from the movie. That sold for $800,000 US dollars. All right, 100,6. Number five, Darth Vader's helmet, not even the full costume, just the headpiece.
Starting point is 00:45:14 That was $900,000 sold on the market a few years ago. Keeping with the Star Wars theme, R2D2, which is the little, yep, that one. The actual unit for that from the first Star Wars movie, this is now we're getting up there. $2.76 million US. Wow. I was quite impressed with my impression. For actual R2D2 is amazing. Okay, and into the top three.
Starting point is 00:45:36 These are the most expensive movie prop costumes or just props in general sold on the market. Number three, the lion costume from the Wizard of Oz. $3.1 million that sold for, just recently, actually. That's just a costume. Okay, and there's two costumes worth more than that, more than three mill. Number two, Marilyn Monroe's dress, the one where she's standing over the great-knit, blows up. Sure.
Starting point is 00:46:02 That sold for 4.6 million US dollars, so $10 million. I'd be so pissed if I was Marilyn in my grave. Honestly, that's my dress and I made that famous. And she was struggling for money when she died as well, like she was behind the... And number one, the most expensive on record, movie costume or piece of memorabilia sold. The Ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz. That was my guess. How much?
Starting point is 00:46:27 60 million New Zealand. And they're sequins, by the way, so they're not real ruby. And they were in terrible condition as well. Some of the sequins were gone. 60 million. Didn't someone steal them once? Yeah, I think this was pre-stealing. And then they realized that they couldn't sell them
Starting point is 00:46:42 because they thought they were covered in rubies so they could like take the rubies because they're like, they're worth 60 million. Of course they're covered in rubies. And then they realize, no, they're sequins. No one wants these tacky old shoes. And you can't sell one of the most famous pieces of movie memorabilia.
Starting point is 00:46:56 And we've just put Meg's drink bottle that she sipped out of 100 times on Trade Me and it's currently sitting at $3. So breakfast hits harder with Clint Meg and Dan. It's not bad. That's met reserve. That's three dollars New Zealand, by the way. Do I see any of that money that you guys make up that?
Starting point is 00:47:10 It's got a charity. It's got a bit guilty for what Dan and I got paid to do on works time yesterday. I mean, you've got to take the good with the bad, don't you? When you think about it, we were getting paid for this. Yeah. My wife was not happy when she found out. It's breakfast, Clint Meg and Dan. What's the thing that you've recently?
Starting point is 00:47:31 being paid to do that isn't in your job description, good or bad. Because yesterday, my wife, when she called me, and was like, what time you go home? And I said, oh, it's going to be a little bit late. Probably, like, in the afternoon. I'm going to get back to the Arvo because I'm working late. She was like, what are you doing? I was like, oh, Dan and I, we just got a thing that we have to do for an interview. Yeah, right?
Starting point is 00:47:49 So what do you have to do? Well, if we want Dave Franco on the show, we have to go and watch his movie. There's new film that he's not coming out. What movie did you go? Was it just like a little TV that car wheeled it? to sit and watch it? No, we had the whole movie theatre to ourselves. It's the Silky Otta, which is like a real fancy movie theatre as well.
Starting point is 00:48:09 The Silky Otta, and then Dan, did you have nothing to eat? You just sat there starving. I had a pizza. Yeah, and we both got it cooked zero. I mean, to be fair, we paid for the pizza. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome to Forgotten Island.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Last night, I was finishing my beach body workout, suddenly just total opened up, and you guys were like, incredible. So Dan and I, yeah. Yeah, we had to spend like, I don't know, hour and a half, hour 45, watching a film for work. Because sometimes when you interview stars, especially if it's about a film, and obviously they want you to see the film
Starting point is 00:48:43 so you can ask about it because you've actually seen it. So it was work-related. I feel like sometimes they could just send you the movie trailer and you could get the gist of the film. But in this case, I was glad I went. I think it was better to actually, like, experience the whole film Dan on work time. And I did at one point sitting there, like,
Starting point is 00:49:00 slipping on my Coke Zero going, this isn't the worst way to earn a dollar. No, it isn't. Yeah. When we sat there with our feet up because they had those like reclining cheese as well. Yeah, that's nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:10 But then on this job as well, I've done stuff that I wish I didn't have to do on the clock. Like I remember I first started on radio. My first ever boss of the radio station I was working for got me to pick him up from Hamilton because he was too drunk to drive. And so I had to leave work, drive all the way down to Hamilton,
Starting point is 00:49:27 and then pick him up and drive them all the way back. Yeah. That feels like a strange thing to have to write on your overtime sheet. Good for your boss though. When he realised he's had too many and he's like, well, Dan's on the clock. He's probably not doing a lot. I'll get him to come get me because he's cheaper than dollar driver. And I did it because one day I want to be on air, you know, and this will get me on here.
Starting point is 00:49:44 10 years later, I got on here. On a different radio station. On a different radio. In short years. Yeah. Yeah. So there we go. Yeah, what was the thing that you got paid to do?
Starting point is 00:49:54 It wasn't in your job description. Maybe looking back, it was a brag where you're like, oh my God, I got paid a half day to do that. Or it was not a brag. Like maybe you worked at a bank as a teller and you had to unblock the toilet. That's not in your job description. The Edge is the home of Clint McGinn, Dan. I'd love to hear from you about what the boss made you do on work time, but it just wasn't in your job description.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Dan and I went and watched Forgotten Island a movie with Dave Franco, who will be on the show this week. And it was kind of a fun moment to realize halfway through the film, we're getting paid to do this. Yeah. But sometimes there's other things and other jobs where you'd be paid to do something. that isn't inside the job description, but it's bad. Someone said they're an accountant and their boss asked them to babysit
Starting point is 00:50:36 while they went out on a long work lunch. Yeah, I suppose. I mean, work lunch is common, aren't they? But that's a nice thing to be paid for. Yeah, actually, I have a few friends that work in the industry that go on these long work. Like, I have to have drinks with clients. Yeah, and that is that.
Starting point is 00:50:53 I'd rather not. Because you're like having to woo the client and pretend to like them. I say, I'm a reception. and I offered to walk the boss's dog once because it felt like the dog needed to go outside. That became my job every day for the next three months. Yeah, you don't want to do something good once, do you?
Starting point is 00:51:10 There's a couple of people that have texted through. We're trying to get one of them on that work for, like, cafes or fast food joints where they've had to unblock the toilets. I feel like there should be a separate person doing that if you're working in the kitchen. And do you feel about this, Meg, I buy the boss's wife, birthday presents, anniversary presents, you name it. I'd love it. If he buys it, but I go out and get it. Oh, if he buy, yeah, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:51:34 I mean, I'd love the job to buy gifts for somebody else and somebody else's money. But if you were getting a gift from your husband and you found out someone else had gone out and picked it up and chosen it? Oh, if they'd chosen it bad, but if he'd bought it and they had to just pick it up from the store, fine. What if you, he was like a really important CEO, though,
Starting point is 00:51:50 that was super busy. I sort of think that's fine then. No, don't bother buy me a gift if you haven't chosen it. No, he has chosen, he just got someone to pick it up. That's fine. What the heck is this? I one time got paid to test water slides at a resort. My job was literally rioting them
Starting point is 00:52:05 and then reporting on whether they were fun. Yeah, but then also if you die, you're the tester. You're the first, like, just put down a sack of potatoes. True. True, yeah, yeah. Sack and potatoes at the end probably don't have a lot to say when you go, it wasn't fun.
Starting point is 00:52:19 They're going, hmm, was that fun? But really, they're like, didn't die? Cross it off. I don't want to be the guinea pig as well. Someone's text through saying, I do fencing and got made to clean the toilet, the Portaloos. Yeah, that's not. in the job description.
Starting point is 00:52:31 All right, Jenna, what did you get paid to do that wasn't in the job description? I got paid to stand there for 12 hours and take off tendons off of, like, convey about. I worked at the meat work. And out of like probably 700, I picked up max 20 in a day.
Starting point is 00:52:51 So you're just standing there looking out for tendons. I don't even know how you'd do that. But in just... That's some people's worst nightmare. Meg, you couldn't do that, could you? Well, obviously, I couldn't work at the meatworks. No, Dan, that wouldn't really vibe with him. But what if I said to you a million dollars a year?
Starting point is 00:53:06 I don't, yeah. I mean, I don't think, I wouldn't want to be a million bucks a year. You don't sound like you do. You want it. Jenna, were you getting paid a million a year to do that? Or close? No. No, yeah, right. Yeah, I don't think that's a high-man job.
Starting point is 00:53:19 We'll just know that Meg's so rich, she wouldn't do it for a million a year, Jan. I said yeah. I said, yeah. All right, easy money. Next, $1,000 on the line. It's not a million, but I think it is a one. $1.2 million hourly rate. If you do the math,
Starting point is 00:53:34 $1,000 in 30 seconds. If you can give us 10 answers, starting with what this morning? S for sausages. Okay. Another meat. He's got meat on the brain now. All right, we'll give you 90 seconds.
Starting point is 00:53:47 0,800 the edge. Easy money. $1,000 on the line. Let's play. Easy money. Here we go, full past date. The letter today is S. Give us 10 answers.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Cash is yours. You can pass, you just can't give us the same answer. Twice, Ann. Morning, Ann. Hey, Ann. Hello. Morning, Anne. So you said you'd get the brakes done on your car.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Nice. Yeah. How long have they been on the blink? Not that long. Okay, good. Really squealy. Okay, well, good luck. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Your letter is S and S for... Say something. Oh, sorry, that's for you. I thought you were thinking of something. I was like, geez, Meg, you'd be terrible. Sorry, last time. Every time S and F normally. I just want to make sure she heard me right.
Starting point is 00:54:37 So yes for sausage. Oh, yes, for you. Yeah, great, great, great. Okay, perfect, perfect. Now we're all on the same page, and good luck. Here we go. Give me a name. Sarah.
Starting point is 00:54:46 A language. Spanish. A sport. Soccer. A car brand. Suzuki. Something in the shower. Soap.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Something cold. A fish. Pass. A cut of meat. Steak. Something you read? A book Supernatural book
Starting point is 00:55:14 Something with wheels That was question 10 Oh I'm so gutted You were going so well I stood up And when I stand up
Starting point is 00:55:24 I mean business For a fish we had Snapper or salmon Yeah sharks Swordfish A couple of others Probably got thrown the mix God that was one
Starting point is 00:55:30 If you'd kept going at that pace You would have easily With time to spare got there And something you read story Was what we heard down A story A summary A sentence
Starting point is 00:55:38 But supernatural The gorilla could have... Yeah, we would have awarded that, definitely. Some of the wheels you just missed out on skateboard scooter. Yeah, and you need to call back. You just need the questions to fall in your favour and you'll be there. Well, well. Oh, wow, maybe next time.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Thank you, Anne. Thanks, Anne. Which is worse, do you think? Like that. That close. You reckon? Yes, 100%. Then getting like six out of ten knowing you were never going to get there anyway.
Starting point is 00:56:02 I think it's worse to just get one out of ten because that's a real pantsing. Yeah. But knowing you're a one-off, a thousand bucks. Hard to let that one go. Coming up next, I have got something in my backyard that belongs to the landlord that is very sentimental that I've killed. Oh God.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Yeah. Okay. I think they're going to make us move out of the house. Get you Clint McGinn and Dan Fax. I have a favour to ask of you guys listening. Can you call me 0-800-the-edge if you are a gardener and know a lot about citrus trees in particular because I am deep in trouble.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Okay. Not that they know with the landlord. Okay, hopefully. So we've been living in a house, a rented house for about two years. Love it. Love living there. It's in a great area. Love it to bits.
Starting point is 00:56:49 The thing is, when we moved in, the landlord, he says, it's his mother's house or his mum's house. She passed away, sadly, before we moved in. And he said that there's a lovely lemon tree in the front yard that she planted when they were kids and lived in the house. It's been there for like 60 years. It was her pride and joy. It was pride and joy. please just look after that water it, make sure it's well fertilised at the bottom. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Fine. For about a year, we kept this lemon tree going. It was thriving. It had lemons. It was fruit and it was beautiful. Yeah, you don't have to do much. I don't have to do much of a lemon tree. It just does it some things.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Beautiful, but it's citrus. I think in the beginning they're really hard work, but once they take off, you're leaving to their own devices. Yeah, well, that's what I thought. Just recently, it started sort of wilting its leaves. And I was going, oh, maybe you know what? It's like it's one of those deciduous. trees, you know. I don't think a limb in tree is.
Starting point is 00:57:40 Where they sort of, over winter months, it sort of loses all its leaves and then comes back thriving in summer. It slowly but surely has got worse and worse to the point now that I believe it's dead. Okay. And keep in mind that this is the landlord's
Starting point is 00:57:56 mother's pride and joy. I don't know if Tony's a gardener, but they said pee on it. Right. Right. How could you say that? Okay. I haven't tried peeing on it, if I'm honest. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:08 And I haven't told the landlord yet. So I want to try and bring it back to life if there is anybody that knows anything about the citrus. Selina, tell Dan to pee on it. More people say pee on it. Okay, I'll go home and pee on it this afternoon. If that's what's going to bring it back to life or pee on. Can I see a photo of the tree to see how dear?
Starting point is 00:58:22 Oh, my God, it's dead. Oh, urine isn't bringing that back to life. There's no way. If your arm brings that back to life, you've got to sell it. Sell your own in a shop at King's Plant Barn. The leaves are like a, ironically, like a lemony yellow. They're brown. That tree is brown. If you were to crack it open, there'd be no green.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Okay, the people that are saying pee on it, please, all of you, come over to my house and we have a group whiz. And just everybody's the nation. Well, we need to try something. We need to try something. But I wanted to do this, 0-800-the-edge. Text 3-3-4-3. Well, you're not going to ask who wants to be in the group-wis.
Starting point is 00:58:57 That, but then also, what died on your watch? Oh, yuck, it's going to be cats and dogs. Everything dies on his watch. Remember that last time your neighbour asked you'd look after the fish. Oh, I was meant to feed her fish every week. And then I went to in on week two, and it was dead.
Starting point is 00:59:12 But how long had she had that goldfish for? 60 years. No, I think it was like four or five years. It was that. I still feel bad about that. Louise is a gardener with some advice. I don't know if it's wee on it. Hey, Louise.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Hello. Can I bring it back to life? Is there anyway? Well, look, I was just going to say next winter, if you've got the good grace and you're still there. when we were kids, my mum used to put a frost cloth over the top to protect, which would mean that in the winter it's not going to be at a tacked. I don't know whether it will help, but that's what we used to do.
Starting point is 00:59:47 I think I don't have that long. I think it's already dead. Unfortunately, Louise, it looks, it's brown. Like it is completely all the leaves are brown. It's so brown. Should he pee on it? Does he pee? Well, another bit of advice might be if you chop back all of the dead leaves, because all the goodness is going in those bad leaves.
Starting point is 01:00:05 and see what happens. And then we're on it. Because it might actually spring forth. We're in spring. Yeah. So you might, it might actually work just get rid of all that awful, awful brown legs and see what happens. That's great advice.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Thank you, Louise. It is true when it comes to like spring. All my plants are growing at the moment. I mean, we did ask for it, didn't we, I guess? Could we get Louise just to finish by saying, Better Living, everyone? Okay, here we go. Can you say that for us?
Starting point is 01:00:27 Say Better living, everyone? Better living, everyone. Yeah. Just going to butcher it. Oh, that we mean. Thank you, Louise. You know what? Well, give it a nudge.
Starting point is 01:00:39 That is the sort of advice. Now, Jack's standing up our boss, pooping the idea. But I think there's a lot of people listening to that going, thanks Louise for that advice. She actually sounded like how I had an ex-sweet gardener who knows how to like save things. Some people are worried it's your haunted friend Natalie. There's a lot going on at my place. So let's move it on.
Starting point is 01:00:56 All right under the edge, you can text through, 3343. What were you looking after for somebody? Maybe it was a pet. Maybe it was a plant. Maybe it was something else completely. and it died. What died on your watch? Oh, Sophie's already texting about it. She did the same thing. Looking up, someone's goldfish, it died and she put it in the freezer.
Starting point is 01:01:12 So they could have a burial when they got home. Nice. I know, Dan, you wanted to do a phone on what died on your watch. I think that's much more interesting than gardening advice, which we seem to be getting a lot of at the moment. The problem, that's all we're getting is how to save the lemon tree that your landlord's mum planted 60 years ago, that has died on your watch. Well, we're the custodians of it at the moment. living in the house and they said, he said, please, whatever you do, look after the lemon tree in the front yard.
Starting point is 01:01:41 It is since, I believe, died. It's brown, fully brown. I'm speaking of brown. A lot of people saying pee on it. Hayden said manure's good for gardens. Have you tried... Taking a dump on it. You know what, Hayden?
Starting point is 01:01:55 I'll try anything at this point. So if you drive past my house... Be gutted if you're the person to come and check on the tree and you go, sounds like person. Everyone will see your wife years from now. I go, so why'd you and Dan are getting divorced? She's like, oh no, came home one day He was popping a squat I will be doing, I have to
Starting point is 01:02:11 I don't have access to normal manure Are we still trying to get calls for what died on your watch? I'd rather them Morning Paul, what died on your watch? Oh no, I'm actually here to tell you how to fix your tree Brilliant Yeah, okay, good. So if you go to the tree
Starting point is 01:02:27 and scratch a bit of the bark At the bottom of the tree If it's green, there's still life in it If it's brown and dry, it's dead. Yeah. So that's when you'll know. Do not fertilise it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:39 If you fertilise it, you'll kill the tree because it's weak. Okay, wait, what did you do last week? What if... Dan? I put some fertiliser on. Yeah. What? Okay, well let's say if Dan has fertilizer, how does he get rid of that?
Starting point is 01:02:53 Pets the fertilizer away and keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet. Okay. So if it's green, things are mean. If it's brown, cut it down. That's what I took from that. Nice. for that. We've got Hayden.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Hayden, what died on your watch? I know. I'm just calling about how to save Dan's tree. Brilliant. Okay, should we just... Yep, okay, how do we do that? Like the other fella said,
Starting point is 01:03:18 it's fertiliser, but you can get that from the shop. He said, don't put fertilizer on it, so who I believe here? And then you're saying to fertilise it. Yeah, that's coming from more than a bit of cultural aside. You need a bit of fur on the ground.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Yeah. And then you need to put a fertilise on the ground. you need to put oil sprays and copper sprays and things like that on the trees. Thanks, Hayden. Thank you. Okay, so he said fertilised. Paul said don't fertilise. Let's see if Sophie.
Starting point is 01:03:42 Sophie, what died on your watch? Good morning. So we were at a friend's house over Christmas and his goldfish died. And apparently the dad cried and they asked us to freeze it so they could bury it. Oh, sweet. It's nice we don't care for animals. Had it been in the family for a long time? Yes, it was a very old gold.
Starting point is 01:04:03 fish so I think it's time to come. And just out of interest, fertilise or don't fertilise with a lemon tree? Yeah, what do you think? Oh, don't fertilise. Don't fertilise, thanks for that, Sophie. I think Tom's right. Go buy a new one. No one will know. Yeah, I saw a good one at a Ken's plant barn out in West Auckland.
Starting point is 01:04:19 And I was like, oh my God, I could just nick a lemon off this right now. People replace animals that are like similar, hoping people won't know. He's not going to know what the lemon tree looked like. That's quite a big lemon tree, though. So maybe I could just say, pruned it a lot. Yeah, that's not bad. Oh, thanks for the advice. Absolutely nothing for our phone,
Starting point is 01:04:36 though, really was it? Okay. Next, we have our third original song that at Dunedin, actually does a Wellington Flat, have put together to try and win R&V tickets. Listen live weekdays from Sex on Rover and Catch Up Wherever.
Starting point is 01:04:50 This is Clint, Meg and Dan. It's Flat Idol. Right, we've been giving five flats the chance to score themselves six tickets to R&V, give themselves a bit of a VIP upgrade, great as well, you know, when you've been in there, you go, hold on, how those guys are that VIP Vintage Club upgrade?
Starting point is 01:05:07 And so far, me, I think we've had two songs, two very different, I think, ways to skin the cat. One was done, I think, with AI, and the other one fully live. This was Monday, as a quick recap. Fourth year, Gizzy, we've earned our stripes. Four-day bend is questionable nights. Banks says no, but our heart say yes. Gas to Gizzy will handle the ring.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Okay, then there was flat 212 yesterday that covered Dolly Pardon, and also a five song We are the two-on-two I have to dig and move Lyric sheet with that one Yeah And this is what's happening So this is the musician flat
Starting point is 01:05:45 That we spoke to last week With Lucy And I was very excited To see what they came up with Well this is your wheelhouse Morning Luce Good morning
Starting point is 01:05:56 How are you guys Good So you're from the Dunners flat Flat notes You're all correct If I'm wrong Studying music Yes we've all studied music
Starting point is 01:06:05 and Baxter is currently studying like music production so we had a bit of everything in our group which is pretty cool So did you have access to like a recording studio and stuff for this? Yeah well Baxter and Jonti have a bit of a studio set up at home They also teach music so they have a lot of the instruments and equipment there as well So we were super lucky Yeah How do you feel listening to the other songs?
Starting point is 01:06:31 How do you feel yours compares? I think we've seen. done a great job. We're really proud of our song and we think it was really cool that we all like had a part in it. Like the boys played the instruments and Rachel and I took the lead vocals and yeah, we've had a lot of fun
Starting point is 01:06:47 and it's been fun hearing the other songs too. I think this is going to either help or hinder you because I think there's the expectations are high here. And I think of you butcher the song you've got no excuse. But how much of an involvement, if any, did AI have?
Starting point is 01:07:04 There was zero AI involvement. We created the lyrics ourselves, we recorded all the instruments, we mixed it all together. Yeah, it's completely made by us. Wow, we love to hear it. Okay, let's listen to, actually Lucy, would you like to introduce it, the song name, your flat name, let's go. Okay, hi, this is Lucy from the flat notes and you're listening to our song out of the Tron. Nice. First play on the edge. It's our boss's greatest fear, playing an unknown song for 60 seconds. Oh my gosh
Starting point is 01:07:42 The dishes are stacked And the flash looking from Hamilton What are we gonna do What are you So what's left What is that? And there's nothing else to do
Starting point is 01:08:25 Let's be cheek You Oh my God please Wow Remember that is completely No AI All done Dan you don't seem impressed
Starting point is 01:08:52 We just have people singing On top of a like Backing track weird AI And you're not impressed with that It was okay What did you want If you don't want AI and you're not impressed with that. I like the one yesterday more.
Starting point is 01:09:03 What? Well, do you know what? Lucy, the feedback's coming and saying they have to win, sold. Is this on Spotify? Valerie swore. She said this is effing epic. I mean, it was good. It was good.
Starting point is 01:09:14 The winner says Kim. I mean, people listening are going to be the jury on this. Come Friday when the voting opens. You get to say which song you think deserves the prize. We have absolutely no saying this to be honest. Well, done, Lucy. And I will say this, Lucy, 100% of people texting in a same. that that should win. So well done.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Oh, that's amazing. Thank you. We had so much fun making it. It sounds like you did. Yeah. Although I will say, I think we just talked it up too much at the start. So I was expecting, like, Oh, it blew me away. Beethoven's... The pressure was on. Yeah, especially studying music. The pressure is always going to be on you guys. I think a lot of people
Starting point is 01:09:46 thought it was yours to lose. It is only Wednesday. We've got two more songs before we get the Friday. So good luck, Loose. Thank you so much. I think it's a very good step in the right direction to winning. And it's something to be said to not use AI. I don't want to say it, but I think it should be an instant loss if you used AI. I don't know, sometimes.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Not everyone knows how to use Suno. It's pretty easy. Yeah, I mean. If I can use it. Wow, that was so impressive. Final dance at Waiohioka State and Gisburn voting will open on Friday. Who you think deserves to get along to R&V for free with Flat Idol. We catch up with flat number four, same time tomorrow, the four Chazettes.
Starting point is 01:10:24 Oh, yeah, that's right. Oh, yeah. Four flatmates, one shared brain cell. Yeah. Not giving us. Holding high hopes. Yeah. Your favourite radio show?
Starting point is 01:10:34 In podcast for. Edge breakfast. Clint Megan Dan. All thanks to our show sponsor. Trade Me Property. Most properties, more choice. And also you can do play Hunt for the Hyundai on Trade Me Property every day this month to increase your chances of winning a hundred thousand dollars.
Starting point is 01:10:50 T's and C's Apply. We'll have that clue for you after nine o'clock. Love is blind. Yeah, I'm still watching Clint, so no spoilers. Hell of a show though, isn't it? I'm surprised it's only season three. For the UK version. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:03 There's been an American one too. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they haven't done a New Zealand one though. I'd love to see one. Yeah, I think it's too small in New Zealand. Everyone be like, is that Clint? Randall? Is that Lisa?
Starting point is 01:11:12 Yeah. That's my second cousin. True. Do you want to date still? It's legal here. It's why they stop doing maths because you get there and be like, oh no. Yeah, I know. You dated my sister.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Yeah, maybe you're right. But there is a. guy on there who obviously falls very hard with women in the past because I'd love to know how many exes tattooed on you do you think is too many? Yeah I said two only because
Starting point is 01:11:39 one it's like all right that's I'm going to say that you were young maybe you were 17, 18 you did a dumb mistake but when you do it again that's what I'm like you're a recidivist. Yeah if you've got like three exes on there I'd love to know how long each of those relationships lasted for. Because if you're getting an ex tattooed on you after a couple of months
Starting point is 01:11:57 I reckon that's a huge mistake I also weirdly think that it kind of depends on where it is If it's on a arm or it's on a nice piece I think that it's different to getting it on like a joke spot Like it's like low I've got a list of like people I've slayed Somewhere
Starting point is 01:12:10 I think if you're married then it's like Oh wow you get them tattooed on You're pretty committed at the time Have you got names on your body me I've got just the letter G for Guy And I think I've got my kids nose No no I haven't And Guy's got my name on him
Starting point is 01:12:24 But that's easy if you split He could just put the, so it was like the meg and get like a shark around it. He's already, he's got a shark tattoo already, so that kind of matches. He would just put a line between them and like connect. Or he could change the E to an O and just mog. Like cats, like cats. Or put an S and do smeg and he could actually do like a sponsored poster. That's clever.
Starting point is 01:12:44 That's nice. That's good to know he has options if anything happens. Okay, well if two is too many, then I guess Taylor from Love is Blind UK has too many. Have you still got the tattoos on your bum? Yeah, I do. How many names are there? I think there's only three. No. Only three.
Starting point is 01:13:06 Oh, yuck. So did this girl ask him to take them off with something? And he refused to. She said you're going to get rid of those, by the way. He goes, no, I can just add your name. She was like, no. Oh, wait, so he's adding the exes after the fact. So they're breaking up and he's going, right, her name's at going on my ass.
Starting point is 01:13:22 Well, I'm not sure if he's doing it during or not, but he said to his partner, because she said you're getting rid of those when she's obviously seeing them because they've been into it. And he was like, no, no, why don't I just add your name to the list? Oh, wrong answer. Wrong answer. Wrong answer. Because you don't want your name next to three failed relationships, do you?
Starting point is 01:13:38 It's just another name to the list. I mean, maybe he could put lines through the other three and then a little heart around. I don't know, anyway. Just get rid of them. If he's starting to refuse to get rid of them, that's the red flag. Do you want to talk about who has more exes tattooed on them than Taylor? So he's got three or more.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Hard to beat. Hard to be. Yeah, or do you want to do bum tattoos? Because they always tell a really immature story because that's always where you're going to put a joke tat. Yeah, that's a good idea, Clint. I mean, if I was ever going to get a tattoo, arse would be up there of one of the places I would get it
Starting point is 01:14:08 because it's out of sight. But then again, I just don't understand why people get tattoos where they're not on show. What's the point? If you're into tattoos, get them on your arm so everyone can see it. Maybe we open it up. If you do have a lot of exes tattooed on you, love to chat with you.
Starting point is 01:14:24 Probably very unlikely. But if you have a bum tattoo, then let us know what is it. There's one of the boys in my football team who's got like a Tuk-took. He was in Bali. Every time we hit the sheds after you see a Tuk-tuk on his ass. Yeah, why do you get the tattoo? What is it of? I want to see someone with a serpent on one cheek and a tiger on the other
Starting point is 01:14:41 and they're fighting across the butt crack. That type of vibe. It's so specific, Dan. Where'd you pull that from? I don't know. It's just my dream. Olivia Dean. A couple minutes on the edge, Clint McGinn, Dan.
Starting point is 01:14:52 Love is Blind, UK Season 3, if he haven't got amongst it. If you like reality TV, you'll enjoy it. But there's a guy who has three X's names tattooed on his bum. And I think it's a real non-committal space. If you want a joke tattoo and you think, where am I going to put that? The bum copts a lot of immature tattoos. Do you have a bum tattoo? What's it off?
Starting point is 01:15:11 Yeah, I don't think there's many serious tattoos on a bum, right? No. Yeah, I don't know. If I went home with a girl, and I haven't done that very often, unfortunately. But if I did see that there was bum tattoos, I would think less of the person. Is that wrong? Well, what if it says made in China? That's kind of funny
Starting point is 01:15:28 You Joe's got that Pretty good Another one I think was Carl trying to get them on Oh yeah Hannah Oh you're into Hannah Here we go Morning Hannah
Starting point is 01:15:35 Hi how are you Yeah good So you've got a silly bum tattoo What is it Yes so I got a silly bum one That says your name So I can go up to people When I can say
Starting point is 01:15:45 I've got your name on my bum And they really believe me Yeah I think a few people I think Gary from A throwback But Jordie Shaw He's got that as well Wait so how often
Starting point is 01:15:55 You definitely been asked to prove it and you just whip it out? Well, it's kind of at the top, so I can just do a little slip. But I got my inspiration from Stevo actually. Oh, Steve, I'm a bar. It's actually quite a clever one. I guess it's a conversation starter, isn't it? Yeah. Wait, so.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Yes, it definitely is. Wow, so then you'll just be out at a bar. You do the lying because you've had a few. And then probably you'd be showing people you crack more than novice. Mm, definitely. Thanks. Does that count as one of my mentions for not? nervous today?
Starting point is 01:16:26 Oh, Hannah. Yeah. Show me, crap. They deal with your insurance claim and everything. Thanks for that, Clint. Kayla, your husband doesn't have an ex-ter-do, but he does have a wah on his bum. Hi.
Starting point is 01:16:39 He has the KFC logo with the Colonel's face. Did he win KFC for a year? No, but he did go into KFC and pull his pants down and ask for a free t-shirt. And did it work? He's got a restraining order. They actually did. They did send him a weird gift box. I think I feel like getting a tattoo of a brand like KFC on your bum
Starting point is 01:17:00 or anywhere on your body, body deserves light. Like that should be free KFC for life. Yeah, but they didn't ask for it. I know, but he's a walking billboard, didn't he? He got a gift box. Well, not really. You'd have to pull your flashed pants. Wait, if he's wearing a pair of speedos, can you see it?
Starting point is 01:17:16 No, no, I don't know. Maybe. So it's quite close to the Anos. Okay. I don't know how the Colonel feels about that. Thank you. Yeah. Somebody else says that they have two eyes on their cheek and a smiley face when he bends up.
Starting point is 01:17:30 He's got two faces. That's clever. Me and my dad and my brother have matching teddy bears on our bums. That's from Jen. God, there's a lot of people listening to the show that have tattoos on their bottom. Someone else said that they've got a snake that snakes around the top of their torso down to the bottom and then disappears into their crack. Oh, wow. That's clever.
Starting point is 01:17:49 This person spent $2,000 on laser removal to get rid of an angry, Hackman with sharp teeth with blood dripping and a monobrow. Classy. How can we change so much that you're like paying thousands of dollars to get rid of something? But at one point you wanted it so badly, you sat through pain and money to get it. Especially it always shocks me with the big ones. Like people that have had a full back tattoo. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:12 And then they've gone, actually, I don't want that now and they get it removed. Like you just need to be sure. It must be. It's crazy, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Someone else's got a QR code that leads them somewhere.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Ridiculous. Oh, that's funny. I feel like if it's a QR code and people scan it and you Rickroll them with that Rickassly song, that's kind of clever. Yeah. Something like that's fun. Yeah. Maybe they can be your first tattoo, Dan.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Oh, he's got a tattoo. It's an airplane for Taylor Swift. Yeah, right on my like ankle. No one ever sees it. That's so cute. I'm going to get a QR code on my forehead, though. Rickroll people. If you get free KFC for life.
