Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. Take the edge off your mornings with Clint McGinn-Dan, Edg Breakfast. Bang on 6 o'clock, Tuesday, welcome to the show. Morning. Happy Tuesday. You know what? A lot of people say, in fact, I think I saw a study the other day that 70% of people or over that think that Tuesday's the worst day of the week.
Starting point is 00:00:22 That is the worst day of the week. Monday you've got the vibes of like, oh well, it's a new week, new beginnings. Whereas Tuesday, I'm like, oh, it's still the start of the week. It feels the further us away from Friday. even though it's not, because it's Monday. It's really bizarre. So, well done for starting the day. We are still compiling our New Zealand Warriors team,
Starting point is 00:00:39 trying to get all the jinxes in New Zealand away from the Waz this Sunday. Tickets go on sale, by the way, midday today, if you aren't a Warriors member, you should already have your hands on tickets. You should be making the sacrifice for your country. If you are unlucky, if you're a jinx and you think you're unlucky for the Waz, come down into the bunker this Sunday. And I will tell you what that bunker consists of after 7 o'clock this morning. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Also, A-list a little bit earlier than normal. If you're an early riser, you might get the A-lister, and you don't normally hear us fight it out over which celebrities deserve to be at the top. Yeah. Guys, we've got a massage. Oh, did you? Because for Father's Day, my wife, or should I say son, although I don't think he got any say in it, purchased me a massage voucher.
Starting point is 00:01:21 And I went and got a full-body massage just down the road at the place down the road, the Thai massage place. Full body, eh? Well, you know what I mean. Is that all of the body? Just the back. the back guy. In fact, I didn't flip over.
Starting point is 00:01:33 So it was a back massage. No, but like the full back from head to toe. Yeah. And you know how they do that thing where they're like, what do you want it? Medium, soft or like hard? And I was like, let's go medium. Jesus. I would hate to see what hard was like.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Because I was like head through the hole going, try not to make any noise. Because that's the thing you do, eh, when you're getting a massage. Try not to make any noise. I honestly came out of more pain that I went. I went in. And then they go, pass the pressure. And then you go, really good.
Starting point is 00:02:01 It's so good. It's really good. I always think how do they not feel the like tension and the flick? They're like, oh, ye. Like, it's, I mean, I don't know if they're like inflicting pain, but part of me goes, surely you can read my body language a little bit right now, even if I'm not saying anything. You'd think so that they have no muscles and stuff, wouldn't they? But no, mate, clearly she just kept going.
Starting point is 00:02:22 And I experienced something I've never experienced before, a butt massage. She had to go on my glutes, like, went to town on both. on both sides. Incredible, Clint. Yeah. Incredible. Like I was at the point where, like, she obviously had a towel and stuff over it, so there was no skin on skin. But it was a, I think that's my problem area, my ass, where I think she had to really work it. I would say your ass is your greatest asset, as we've said before. Do you think it's a problem area?
Starting point is 00:02:50 Well, in terms of pain-wise, I feel like, because I've been working that thing for so long. Is that where you hold all your tension and your toe-walking? Yeah, I think so. When I toe-walk, that's why I've got me. It's quite a, you know, voluptuous bottom. Yeah, yeah. And that's where all these years of pent-up muscle work have gone, and she's just worked it.
Starting point is 00:03:07 And I feel like I'm a new man. Let me see, is it gone down like a dough? Oh, it is flatter. It's flatter, yeah. She's flat and all the air came out. Anyways, 14-5-6, let's settle with us. Something that Dan didn't mean to bring to the table, but it was an obvious conversation
Starting point is 00:03:22 that it's found its way on air next on the edge. Listen to your favourite breakfast show whenever you like. Clint McGinn, Dan. The Edge. It's Clint McGinn Dance. And let's settle this. Let's settle this right now. I don't think there's much that we couldn't settle here.
Starting point is 00:03:37 But maybe Clint or I are wrong, or maybe Meg's wrong. Who knows? Yeah, no, I think we can. What is the most feminine spot on the body to get a tattoo? You know, yesterday morning at this time, we said it was feminine to sit in the passenger seat. And now we're saying it's feminine spots on the body. Yeah, well, there will be feminine spots. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Have anything we're like leaning into the... We could do something just for the guys tomorrow, actually. Put it this way. I think... When I see a girl with a wrist tattoo, I go, that's lovely. Okay, I have a little wrist tattoo. Yeah, and that's as a start. Because he goes, that's the most feminine spot on the body for a tattoo.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I have a tattoo on my wrist. You do claim. And I was like, lo, this coming from the guy who has a Taylor Swift aeroplane on his ankle. Okay, I know what looks like. Yeah, more... But to be fair, let me defend. I got the Taylor Swift paper plane thing on my ankle because of work.
Starting point is 00:04:34 I wouldn't have got, I wouldn't have paid. Does that make it more masculine? God, yes. That's the dumbest conversation I'm going to have. Right, right. I got the ankle. Of all the places. Or like, because I wanted it out of sight.
Starting point is 00:04:45 You want to be able to show it off when you're in high heels. No. No, no, no. I wanted it out of sight because I usually wear high socks. And so I wanted it there. Just so I know it's there, but no one else. If somebody does get Nanko-Oen-Tir, it is normally to highlight when you're wearing high heels.
Starting point is 00:05:01 So that is fair. Okay, well, I don't wear high heels often. Okay, well, we've also brought up one's tramp stamp. We thought it's quite feminine. Tramp stamp is pretty firm, yeah. There are a couple of league players, actually, that when they go into tackles and their shirt rides up, and they have tramp stamps,
Starting point is 00:05:15 and they copped a lot of flack for it throughout the NRL season. And then behind the ear is another one that's kind of being brought up. That's quite feminine. Justin Bieber's got that one that runs down the back of his ear, down his neck. Okay. Yeah. I mean, put it this way. I think that if I was going to pick one out
Starting point is 00:05:30 or I was like, that is the most feminine spot for a tattoo, I would go to the wrist. And Clint, you've got it there. You've got one. Can I say my opinion, try not to take sides? Viginas. That's because you probably have like five of them down. Well, true.
Starting point is 00:05:45 I don't have one on my vagina. That's pretty femme. Actually, that might be the end of the collar. Not in my vagina, I've realized vulva, which is the outside. But anyway, I think ankle is more feminine. Sorry, Dan. I do. And that's coming from some.
Starting point is 00:05:57 with a tattoo on her vagina. Yes, so that is the... I will say as well, if that holds any weight. Inside of a finger, pretty firm as well. Oh yeah. My wife only has one tattoo and so maybe that's why I think that and she's got it on the inside of her finger.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Just a little heart. Yeah, settle this for us. Where is the most feminine spot to have a tattoo? Because I think Dan owns it even though he's trying to throw a shade my way. No, you know what? I'm proud of my little ankle tattoo and I will say it does look great when I've got her heels on. So when you've got a tan and a little,
Starting point is 00:06:27 ant clip. Exactly. Yeah. And sometimes I do pair it with an ant clip because it accentuates the tank. Oh, wait on with Andrew. It takes us 3343. Coming up with Clint McG & Dan. Yeah, big scandal this morning, why Sidney's name back of the headlines and MacLmore has spoken out about Ed Shearing
Starting point is 00:06:43 dropping him from his tour. Coming up. Clint McG and Dan's scandal. Female athletes around the world are showing their hate for the new Novig sports betting ad, fronted by a nude Sydney Sweeney after years of frustration for not being taken seriously and being sexualised. in their fields with the message to girls saying your body is an instrument, not an ornament.
Starting point is 00:07:02 And McLemore has said that Ed Sharon has dropped him from his tour after he said Free Palinstein before he performed his song, Heinzong, something he has been doing at every show for the past three years. He said, Ed is my friend, I've known him for 13 years, and he has an infectious magic. But after many conversations this week, we still ended in a place of disagreement. And Ed was told by the stadium's owner they wouldn't allow him to play if he kept me as the opening act. I was dropped. Wow. Oh, what a good bugger.
Starting point is 00:07:29 So Maclemore's going all good, bro. I'll bow out. Not really because he's kind of a little bit like could have gone back. But Ed said as well, it's like, well, I don't pick sides. He said, I don't want to rock the boat. Rock the boat. I'm here to perform. And so that was the place he took it.
Starting point is 00:07:45 But McElmore has been saying Ed is a brother and a friend and he's disappointed. But, you know, in the end, he's not angry at Ed. He's like, I know there's money to be made. I know there's like, you know. And everyone's going to use their platform for different reasons. I'm sure Ed would have done. rather than in a like politically nice way. Hopefully.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Yeah. Just hits in Auckland. Megan Dan. Yeah, big scandal this morning. Coming up in... Oh, do you have a scandal tag? Oh, I do have a scandal tag, you. Good man, you.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Sorry, there was a lot of ones coming up. Actually, thank you to... Just because you got your free blunt umbrella. Cheers, you got it yesterday, forgot about it. My beautiful yellow... No, it's in my bag. It's in my bag. My yellow umbrella. Care for your hair and pick up a weller.
Starting point is 00:08:27 want umbrellas see ronnywayne.com. D's and Cies and Apply. I see why they're doing that as well because when you go into Ronnie Wayne and get a lovely beautiful blow wave or whatever then you leave and it's raining you need your umbrella to protect it. I've been in that exact situation before so.
Starting point is 00:08:40 A lot of times when we give away tickets they go like 8 o'clock. Right. Oh, 7.30, 8.30. You know, that's where in most of you win their cars. Should we look after the 6am club? Yeah, the ones that are at the gym right now, the ones that have got up for a run,
Starting point is 00:08:53 the ones that are getting to work early. Okay, I'm really bloody stoked. and excited that Empire of the Sun are coming back to New Zealand. Just tour to date, Ask That God Tour, Afterlife. They're going to be here in Feb. I love the remix of this one, Matt Miller. A hell of a gig, and if you want to go, we've got a double pass. We're going to look after our 6am Club, 0800 The Edge.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Take the Edge off your day with Clint Meg and Dan. Empire of the Sun is making their way back to New Zealand on their largest tour to date. Ask That God Tour Afterlife. Feb 19th at Spark Arena. Frontier members, they can get their hands on pre-sale tickets tomorrow at 11 a.m. General tickets will go and sell to the public on Friday. So many bangers, hey, Empire the Sunday.
Starting point is 00:09:49 One of those bans you go, oh, they see that one. Yeah. Oh, that one. That was so good electric Ave. Loves watching these guys. They've got a real vibe. They do. They've got a real look about them, too.
Starting point is 00:10:01 All right. Why don't we go to somebody who's a first-time caller? First time, Jackie. Hello. Good morning, babe. Good morning, Jackie. Oh, good morning. This got you out of the woodwork to go and see Empire this time.
Starting point is 00:10:15 We're also talking this morning about the most feminine place to get a tattoo. Oh, yeah, we were talking about that if you wanted to settle that one for us today. I mean, you've got the say of the country. Your voice is the country's voice. Where do you think it is on the body? Well, I reckon the collarbone. Oh, we didn't even throw that out as an option. I didn't even think of that.
Starting point is 00:10:37 I'm currently going to get one done there. What are you getting? My parents' names. Oh, that's lovely. Oh, that's so sweet. That is lovely. Are you getting them in like some sort of other language or just their names? Or tallics?
Starting point is 00:10:51 Yeah. Italics. Well, they're first their middle name, but just in a nice writing. Yeah, yeah, nice. Feminine writing. What a great tribute? What does your mum think? Because my mum hates me getting tattoos,
Starting point is 00:11:02 and I think even if I was getting her name. she still would have been down. My mum's name's Fiona Lee. Yeah, and does she love it? I hope so. My middle name is Lee. No, no, no. No, no, she has the tattoo, not her name.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah, does she love the idea of you getting her name tattoo on you? Oh, yes. She's a big tattoo fan too. Oh, good. Well, you and Meg will have something in common because Meek's also got tributes to her family on her body as well. I do, yeah, to my grandparents. Anyway, we're moving on. and you're going to be going.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Okay, it's on a Vovov. Thank you. We know. She's been here. Right. Jackie, you are going to Ebaugh the Sun. Congratulations. Oh my gosh. Thank you so.
Starting point is 00:11:44 You're welcome. Welcome back. 10. Spark arena. Chuck it in your diary. You will be there. Oh. Okay, thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:51 You're welcome back. Call us again anytime. She sounds lovely. Brittany says that no. Dan has the most feminine place for a tattoo. Don't you, Brett? Good morning, Brett. Oh, well.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Hi, morning. I do think it is the ankle, but it does depend on what the tattoo's off. What if it's just of a Taylor Swift lyric? A lyric, just a word. I think that's fine. It's like a paper plane, which is one of her lyrics, yeah. Yeah, it's not like a flower or butterfly. No, no, it's a paper plane that her ex-boyfriend gave to her on a necklace,
Starting point is 00:12:22 and that's why she wrote a song about that. Yeah, no, that's super. You know, that's pretty, it's pretty masculine, right? Hey, look, I'm willing to own it. Sam's annoyed that you said the wrist was the most feminine spot because both Sam and I are rocking wrist tattoos Morning bro
Starting point is 00:12:37 Morning Sam Hi how are you You know what I reckon you do rock a cool wrist tattoo Sam I take it back What are you got on the wrist tattoo? Thank you very much I have a star and a moon for my family And then I have like a semi-colon in between my finger
Starting point is 00:12:51 You have your colon Tissom no a semi-colon Just part of it Oh yeah Yeah So anyway oh that's great You know what I take it back
Starting point is 00:12:59 I reckon the ankle is more feminine. Okay. Okay, well, I think that's clearly... I think we've clearly solved it there. That's the ankle. I'll get that removed today. You do, you, man. Tells it tells a time in your life and that's what tattoos are for.
Starting point is 00:13:15 And it's a nice dainty little tattoo, so I'm sure it won't be much to remove? It'll be like 50 bucks, won't it? How much does it get a tattoo removed? No, it's still a lot of money, I imagine. Okay, it's staying there. Yeah, as we were saying off here, just add to it.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Maybe you can do a whole fish net stocking up your leg. Yeah, that would be cool. Just something like a little. fine line, something really petite. Yeah, save me putting them on normally. Something tasteful. Get your Clint Meg and Dan Fax. The edge. It's time to get naughty at 640.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So a female passenger has undressed on an American airline flight and has apparently engaged in what are called Indecent Acts. That's what the crew is saying anyway. Indecent Ax. She was in row 9. It was an Airbus A319,
Starting point is 00:13:55 by the way, Dan. I know you like that information. Is it in Big Blaine? No. It's smallish. Like it's the regional one, you'd catch a flight from like Auckland to Christchurch. Okay. Oh, yeah. So according to the communications report that has been logged,
Starting point is 00:14:08 the lead flight attendant reported that a female passenger in seat 9D, he completely undressed and engaged in indecent acts in the view of nearby passengers. So I'm guessing maybe a bit of a sleeping bill in a wine. Well, actually, I would have thought that as well, Meg, but now the size of the plane comes into importance, because I feel like on a plane that's sort. small, you wouldn't need to take a sleeping pill because it wouldn't be a long haul flight. No, it's not a long haul flight. I think they, like, I think the longest flight, those sort of
Starting point is 00:14:37 planes do are like four or five hours. Unless you're a nervous flyer, would you take something for the anxiety and then you have a wine? Although they don't even really serve wine, do they on a short haul flight? No, it's kind of like if we throw back to bridesmaids run, she thought she saw a peasant woman. A colonial woman on the wing, making butter, turning butter. It remains unclear what specific measures Camer Crew did during the flight to manage the disturbance. I don't know if they duct taped her like they did that other man last week. If they did, I hope she'd had wax
Starting point is 00:15:02 because that would have been... True! What I mean the man the other week? Did they duct tape a man to a chair? They duckedame a man to a chair like full, around his forehead, his mouth, his everywhere. And then they did those zip ties on his hands. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And then they sat on him. And he still was disturbing the piece. He was still trying to get up off the seat even after the duct taping. He was fully clothed though, to be fair. This woman was naked. I don't know why you would decide to take your clothes off unless you were in some sort of drug-fueled
Starting point is 00:15:28 frenzy. It has to be either drug-fueled or some sort of mental break. You're not doing that. Do you think she had stuff on her, realize, and it's like, shit, I'm about to get on a plane. So she just downed the whole lot before security.
Starting point is 00:15:39 And then by the time you actually go through the gate, starts to kick in, and you're crazy. I kind of understand it if you're in one of those really bougie, like first-class seats. Have you seen them on Emirates? I think they're called like the residence or something. I think it's on Edith. And it's like a full room to yourself,
Starting point is 00:15:54 and you can close the door. So I sort of get it if you're nude in there getting up to mischief. No, no, no, no. But like when it's just an aircraft seat, oh God. Everybody can see that. Yeah, it sounds to me like some sort of, I guess, mental break or drugs or alcohol at blackout. I mean, that's why I don't really drink anymore. I've had moments where I've woken up and been like, I know recollection of what I did.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Is that why you don't drink because you're worried you'll get nude on a plane? Is that why? Exactly, by. Yeah. I can't risk it. I'm nowhere near any import but I can't ever dream Not even planning on flying
Starting point is 00:16:28 Can't have that happen again How did I get here? Do we want to play nude or not? Oh yeah, it's a fun game isn't it? I mean it's a jump But yep, let's do it So this is where you call us Oh, 800 at the edge
Starting point is 00:16:39 We get to ask you a question each Yeah And then you just need to then tell us We'll guess if you're nude or not Yeah That's such a simple game Yeah We probably didn't need to explain
Starting point is 00:16:51 That much You just call us Oh at him to veg We'll guess If you're talking to us naked, it might be quite thrilling where you go bugger it. I'm going to give this a go. Maybe you're listening in the shower this morning. Perfect time to call.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Click me and Dan. Edge breakfast. Time to get naughty at 640. A woman on an airplane flight got nude. We do not know why she was in seat 9D. That is basically all the information we have. But it would be a shocking sight for everybody if you're a 9C or 9. E.
Starting point is 00:17:21 You got it. Something on the end. So we want to play a little game of nude or not. We play this in the past where you are either nude or not, whether you're getting ready in the morning. And we, I guess, ask a few non-discreet questions and then have a vibe and a feel. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:34 The only question we can't ask is, are you nerd? Obviously, because that would ruin the game. And we wouldn't expect you to do anything that we as a show wouldn't be prepared to do ourselves. So good morning, Dan, from Studio B. Good morning, guys. Yeah, obviously we didn't get any calls for this. So I've drawn the short straw.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Excuse the pun And I've come into Studio B Alright so we're going to guess If you're nude or not Dan Clint we get a question age Yeah okay What did you have for breakfast? Why does that matter?
Starting point is 00:18:06 What a stupid question? These are the questions we ask These are the queer I know but what's that got to do With me being closed or not We don't know how what her method Is yet I don't know my method either
Starting point is 00:18:17 But Okay I had a Equal 50-50 mix of brands and granola. God, you're so old. That's so boring. Hey, look, it keeps me regular. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:30 When is your next contract negotiation? 2027. Okay, so he's actually pretty secure in his position right now. Trust me, put it this way, Clint. I wouldn't be doing this segment if I had a contract negotiation at the end of this year. Okay, one more question, one more question. And, okay. Can you see anyone from where you are?
Starting point is 00:18:55 No, because no. Okay. Definitely not. I hope no one can see me. Okay, yes or no? Are you aware that they now have cameras in the B studio? Hey? Sounds nervous.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Well, let's lock it in. We're guessing that obviously you're not nude. Because you're at work. Okay, well, you'd be wrong. I'm completely stuck in it. How will you be nude? Why? Then, you're at wood.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Are there actually cameras in here? Where? Yeah, why are you naked? That's so stupid. You're literally at work. You're going to get fired. And then I'm not going to have a job because if you get fired, we'll get fired. What's wrong with you?
Starting point is 00:19:34 But also, someone needed to do it. I asked me to get nude. You didn't want it. The game is nude or not. Why did you? Yeah, exactly. You could just not be nude. Okay, producer car.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Yeah, they just installed those cameras. And I'm going to put them on the screen in the studio. Three, two, two, one, there are you? Yeah. Don't worry, Dan, you can't see anything, mate. Nobody's killed over like that. No! He just threw up straight.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I don't think you would. All right, mate, you got 90... I'm so glad I manscaped yesterday. 90 seconds to get your clothes on, buddy. We'll get into Easy Money. The letter is G. If you want $1,000, $0,800 the edge. Let's have a crack in it.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Give us 10 answers and 30 seconds. The cash is yours. My power just coming up. Easy money. Time for your favorite game. Easy money. Here we go. 30 seconds on the clock.
Starting point is 00:20:24 10 answers this morning, starting with the letter G. And the cash is yours, $1,000. Nice and easy, you can pass. If we've got time, we'll come back. But no repeated answers. G's an easy one, right? Yeah, G and G. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Words for you. Chrissy playing this morning. Hey, Chrissy, ready to win $1,000. Yes, I really really would like to win a thousand. Okay, here we go. Your letter is G. Okay, G for good work. You've won $1,000.
Starting point is 00:20:52 All right. Your daughter. is counting on you because you're going to spend $1,000 to fly down for your daughter's 21st. Even if you lose, I think you should still go to her birthday. No, she said that or she might just blow it on herself. Okay. So either way. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:06 You haven't deployed yet. All right, Meg's got question one. Here we go. Time starts at the end of the first question. A color. Green. A food. Right.
Starting point is 00:21:17 A sport. Golf. A drink. Pass. A part of a house. A kitchen utensil. Greater. Something you...
Starting point is 00:21:29 Gatorade. Something you wear. Garta. A dog breed. German Shepherd. An insect. A Grappapa. A Disney character.
Starting point is 00:21:42 A goofy. A drink. Gatorade. Yeah! Just one! One thousand dollars! They got so simple for her too, right? Wow, that is how it's done.
Starting point is 00:22:04 I've never heard anyone do that before where they passed an answer, and then whilst they're answering another one, has gone back and picked it up and then carried on. And not losing her focus. And then she answered it again at the end. I was holding that. I was like, oh God, I'm going to have to come back to it just to make sure it's locked. Otherwise, our boss will say no.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Yeah, maybe it's just making sure. Yeah, well done. Well, that was like, that was pretty flawless otherwise. Wow, Chrissy. $1,000. Oh, yeah, because I usually play it in the car, but I'm like, oh my God, this could be like that moment where you know what, you get on air and you just go, ugh.
Starting point is 00:22:34 No, it was not. You flew. We say this every time when someone wins. You made it look easy. You really did. Like it was a walk in the park. So well done, Chrissy. A thousand bucks. By the way, boys, I was obviously focusing on my words.
Starting point is 00:22:45 There was nothing she missed or said dodgy. No. I had no question marks that whole round. Chrissy, you've got $1,000 going into your bank account. Enjoy your daughter's 21st. Yes. Now, do you think this is sarcastic or not from our boss? He just texted and saying wicked.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Is that like, wicked? Or is that like, wicked? He's a huge alphabet fan So yeah He's like He's probably like Oh yeah wicked Yeah
Starting point is 00:23:10 He just loves the musical Yeah Yeah Thanks Chrissy Stay there Think about spending that money How amazing Yeah give you a bank account
Starting point is 00:23:17 To producer Carl And he'll get that money Into there A sap Oh that feels good Yeah it does doesn't it Oh A list list
Starting point is 00:23:23 Coming up next I've got three names for you To put on the AB Or C list Cool And if you do know I mean If you do listen
Starting point is 00:23:29 And like Chrisy you're like Man I could do that I could do that Give us a call at 8. Got another thousand bucks to give away and an hour's time. This is the Clint McGinn, Dan, catch up.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Want to hear the guys off here and a little looser? Listen and watch their Overtinkers podcast. Don't. Okie dokey. The three names of the A-List or list this morning are Jessica Alba. Doesn't matter how you mess up as long as you keep counting, right? I was like from that dance movie. Lionel Messi.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Messy! And William Shakespeare. Shakespeare. Now I've never done a dead person God, he's long dead as well Like you can't even argue That he may have been on the A list A few years ago
Starting point is 00:24:20 Because he, I don't... Can we start with him? Let's start with Shakespeare. I don't think... He's an A-lister. I don't know. I think if you went up to people and said, you know Shakespeare and they go, yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:29 and you go, what's his first name? I don't reckon 50% could tell you. 50% could tell you. Of course they can. I think most people would know William Shakespeare. Clint. Okay, the next person that walks past the edge building, let's pull him in and ask.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Okay, fine. Here's the thing. But you're just going to just find a random business. I don't get who it is as long as they haven't heard this combo. Here's my thing with William Shakespeare.
Starting point is 00:24:47 We put, last week I think it was, Stephen Spielberg at a B, because most people said they know the name but they don't put a face to the name. If I was walking down the street and William Shakespeare bumped into me and I tripped over him.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Yeah, but he's never even had the chance to be on screens because he's dead. Exactly. It's William. Oh my God, this is going to drop me. It's William Shakespeare. I put this as a like,
Starting point is 00:25:11 like a gag because obviously he's an A. It's William Shakespeare. Okay, could you draw me him? Oh, okay, hold on. Okay, Kate, oh, thank God it's you. Thank God it's you. Of all the people you've got someone smart, okay, you know Shakespeare.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Yeah, what's his first name? William. Oh, get out. Get out. I don't. Okay, but I said 50% would know and Kate's obviously the smart 50%. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:25:32 I think most people... Go find me a dummy girl. No, go find more people. I think most people would know William Shakespeare, full name. But they wouldn't know what he looks like. And for that, I'm putting him it be.
Starting point is 00:25:42 It doesn't matter what he looks like. It's William Shakespeare. And we're talking about last names. I think we even said Kardashian is famous enough that people will know it. Whether it's like Chris Kardashian or not. A photo of three people and William Shakespeare is one of them. If you couldn't pick him out of a lineup, I don't think he's... So is A-LIS not nothing to do with your name or your influence.
Starting point is 00:26:03 It's to do with what you look like. All right. Welcome. This is Kurt from IT. Okay. You've heard of Shakespeare. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:09 What is his first name? William. Get out. Obviously. He thinks that people don't know that. Do you reckon you can pick him in a line-up? If I gave you three photos, do you reckon you could pick which one he was based on his face?
Starting point is 00:26:22 Oh, definitely. Since when it was a list to do with, like, looking at their faces, it's their influence. It's how famous they are. You don't walk past Brad Pitt and go, who was that? I'll stop you both and finish with this. Therefore, out there be.
Starting point is 00:26:39 William Shakespeare. about he's a B. Yeah, and he's lucky to be there in dance. Yeah. So, look, we're happy to be proven wrong, but there's also two other names that need to be debated. Yeah, Jessica Albert, C, Lionel Messi, a B. Oh my God, Lionel Messi, the greatest footballer, arguably,
Starting point is 00:26:55 against Christian Renato in the world, so he's an A all day. Lionel Messi, his fame just reaches the entire world because football's the biggest... Dan, I understand why you get angry. Yes, and you know what? I'm putting a bit of B as well, unfortunately. You guys are absolutely cooked. I think we've got no A's this time. I think we've got Shakespeare at a B, Alba at a C, Lionel at a B.
Starting point is 00:27:19 But you can call us through 0-8 Under the Edge and prove us wrong. Okay, so the only one we agree on is Jessica Alba's a C. Yeah, she's a C. She's a has-been, she hasn't done anything recently. I'm going to put her in. She had a blue crush, which is one of the hottest movies I've ever seen since there not much. Yeah. But the difference is I can still see her underwater in that movie.
Starting point is 00:27:39 I can't put William and Shakespeare's. I can't put a face to it. Someone's called Shakespeare to D-Meg. That's on them. Oh, it under the edge. Your favourite radio show? And what goes for? Edge Breakfast, Clint Meg and Dan.
Starting point is 00:27:53 H-A-B-C. It's really, but I wish behind the scenes, I've had to, like, do these little mantras to myself of, like, it's just a radio break. It's just a dumb break. I just need to, like, let it go and not let it actually wind me out because I've heard these boys say,
Starting point is 00:28:11 constantly in the background that William Shakespeare is not an A because nobody in theory knows what he looks like which I still do. Which is important I think for an A list of food. You literally said... Photos don't exist. You literally said Lionel Messi
Starting point is 00:28:23 and you know the name because he's the greatest football on the planet arguably. You just said he's not an A because you don't know what he looks like but you're not using the same measure on Shakespeare. Clint, no, I only said that because that's the measure you used. You said, I don't know what William looks like and I said I don't know what Lionel looks like.
Starting point is 00:28:38 I'm using your argument. But then we then have to both agree. that they're both B's or both A's. William Shakespeare is one of the most influential names, people on the planet. On the planet. It's not for us to say, Meg, it's up to the listeners, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:28:53 We've said our piece in the first break. We have indeed. Now it is time to hand it over to you. William Shakespeare, Jessica Alba. And who is the other one? Oh, shut up. All right, Emma, Jessica Alba, are you agreeing that we think she's a C?
Starting point is 00:29:10 Yeah, I'm agreeing. and she's a C. I literally drew a mind blank when her name came up. Yeah. She was big in like the early 2000s, and even then I would have said she was probably B list. So I think she's dropped to a C. Do we think Shakespeare's in the C list with her?
Starting point is 00:29:26 No, he's an A for me. I'll say this to you, Emma. One of his most famous quotes, William Shakespeare, is, to be or not to be. True. So I don't want to say he's a B, but. Yeah, him are not convinced. Okay, and line on me see.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Hey, I'm not a football fan, but I know who he is. Okay, so two A's in a C. Let's go to Chris. Chris, Shakespeare, A, B, or C. Probably an A, in A. Okay, probably an A, so you're a bit under side. Yeah, an A. No, he's an A, no, he's an A,
Starting point is 00:30:01 every person over the age of 14 is taught in school, so pretty much anyone educated person in the world will know who he is. Describe what he looks like. Oh, no, he's got a frilly thing around his neck, That's right, isn't it? That's true. He also has been a frilly thing running this photo
Starting point is 00:30:14 because he was born in the 1500s. He's rocking in, like a gold earring. That would have been quite ahead of his time, I would have thought. A lot of people, a lot of anger coming through for Lionel Messi now are people saying he's an A. Well, Chris, what do you think Lionel Misi?
Starting point is 00:30:29 Eyes B and E. B's a me. There's he. There's he. Is that because he doesn't wear a frilly thing around his neck? That's that, yeah. Go, thank you.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Thank you, Chris. And Will, Morning, Will. Morning. Okay, so let's start with William Shakespeare. Where are you putting him? I reckon I put him on a-lister, just with all the things he's made and shit.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Okay, those the things he's made. Yeah, he'd love to hear that. How's Shakespeare of you. Okay, and what about Lano Messi? Messi is the C-lister, mate. Clint, you cannot tell me Ronaldo is not as good as Messi. Oh, okay, so you've got like this messy Ronaldo complex thing, right?
Starting point is 00:31:10 Can they not both be A's or B's? No, no, no, no, no. Okay. I'd say Cristiano is more famous. If Cristiano Ronaldo was in the A list, then sure. I think just visually for what he does outside of the sport. The two greatest players to ever play the game. I will say this is probably one of the most contentious ones ever,
Starting point is 00:31:28 and there's so many people disagreeing on the text machine and agreeing with us. So Meg, it's over to you. This is going to be hard to compile. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. So it doesn't like. People are so angry. People getting angry at each other.
Starting point is 00:31:40 now. It's really hard to count the votes because people are mostly just fighting. Matt says William Shakespeare was also banging Anne Hathaway. I look that up. It does seem that he was married to an Anne Hathaway, different to the one that we know. She must be really old. Well, what are you guys seeing? I'm seeing lots of William Shakespeare as an A. Would you agree with that? I would agree. I think he has come through as an A. Even though a lot of people wouldn't know what he looks like apart from the frilly thing around his neck. I think he, we have to put him as an A. William Shakespeare is in there. Beyonce's going to be shocked when he walks in.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Yeah. Who's the guy with the frilly coat? Okay. Now, messy. I, oh God, reading through. I think he's a B? I think that's a fair place. Someone just said if Meg puts,
Starting point is 00:32:32 messier to B, this is effing rage bait. It's, um, I'm, I didn't, to be fair, I didn't choose that. If you, but we've always said if you get C's, normally you kind of go in the middle somewhere but I don't know why anybody would say Messies a C, I even would know that but a few B's.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And Alba I think is pretty C across the board. No one's really challenging. Nathan said if you Meg. Okay, Nathan's not happy. Again, I don't choose it. But Nathan quite often has a go up here as well Meg so don't worry.
Starting point is 00:33:04 You're right. I mean we're getting Messies A and then C all day so you kind of average it out. Yeah. So I said, hey, Hayden Allen said William Shakespeare. He was in Star Trek back in the day, wasn't he? That was William Shatner.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Hey, then you're getting confused. Okay. Now we're talking. Hey, Lister. Listen live weekdays from Sex on Rover and catch up wherever. This is Clint Meg and Dan. The Edge. Clint Megan Dan's New Zealand Warriors.
Starting point is 00:33:31 We are compiling a team of New Zealand Warriors. Those worried that they might be jinxing the team. We want them as far away from the Warriors game on Sunday night as possible ahead of our elimination final against the Newcastle Knights. I'm the coach of the team because I am a proven jinx. Every time I watch the Warriors,
Starting point is 00:33:50 for some reason they lose. And so I'm definitely going to be in the bunker. Yeah, your self-sacrifice thing. Yeah, and that's why I've prepared what any good coach would prepare a speech to say to other jinxes out there that want to join me. Underground this Sunday,
Starting point is 00:34:04 I need a voice disguiser Clint to make me sound more manly. Manly. No, the lower one. The lower one. That one. That's better. Okay. Hit the jams.
Starting point is 00:34:17 New Zealand. This weekend, we need you to be brave. If you consider yourself unlucky, this is your moment to serve your country. Put down the remote. Step away from the television. Join me underground. Away from any NRL coverage. Away from the temptation, away from any risk of jing.
Starting point is 00:34:39 the Warriors because this weekend your greatest contribution to the Warriors if you're unlucky is not watching them oh you may miss tackles you may miss tries you may miss history being made but remember unlucky heroes make sacrifices we have prepared a bunker for some of New Zealand's biggest jinxes to be fully entertained this Sunday during the game you'll be fed you'll be watered you'll be distracted for the full 80 minutes, all for your country. So on behalf of the nation, thank you for your service. If you're a jix, if you're unlucky, stay away from the game.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Up the Wars. Did you make it? My voice was really high. I think it ran out, the time ran out and it defaulted back to the... It was a little squeaky at the end. Why don't you just say that it's going to be an Archie Brothers and it's going to be, you know, lots of games that we can play because that's why I'm going. And there's free food, right?
Starting point is 00:35:39 Obviously we need a bit of, you know, like to rally the troops. Yeah, but I feel like the draw card with the free arcades and entertainment, there's... Tempe and bowling. And there's food and drinks. Is there beer? Is it going to tell? They'll be beer. Yeah, and there's like pizza and stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why don't you just say that? So, if you are unlucky, anybody is listening right now, give us a call 0-800 the edge and we'll put you on the team. Okay, well... Also, I think there's merch bags from Posti Plus. Like, say that. Say Posty Plus is giving you merch bags. You're getting free bags.
Starting point is 00:36:09 pizza and beer and Archie brothers. There's lots to be entertained by. Okay, well Michelle wants to be part of the New Zealand Warriors Squad morning, Michelle. Hi. So Michelle last week, you may remember, was the one who was on holiday in Fiji. And then while walking around the resort, had a
Starting point is 00:36:25 coconut land on her head and put her in hospital, which I googled. You have a 0.0001% chance of that happening to a human being. That's crazy. That's almost lotto odds. Oh, definitely, but I'm never going to win lotto. And why? Because you're on Lucky. So jersey number three. Okay, jersey number three, it is yours. Michelle, you're in the bunker.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Did you watch the Warriors lose over the weekend? Yes, I did. I had my alcoholic drinks. I had my chuppets. You're a jimps. We were living. As much of a jinx as I am, you're in the bunker. Okay, just go one more. The people are coming out of the woodwork now, morning, April. April is actually dobbing somebody in, Dan. Okay, so who are you dobbing in, April?
Starting point is 00:37:04 Hi, I'm my cousin. And are they a jinx for the Warriors, like Michelle just unlucky in general? No, a drink for the Warriors. Whenever he goes home for uni break or just back home to the weekend, if he's at home watching the game, they always seem to lose.
Starting point is 00:37:20 That's all we need. That's all we need, really. We were at our cousins 21st, so he only started watching part way through the second half. Oh God, that's when we started losing. And that's where we didn't score a single try and threw away a lead.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Okay, watch your cousin's name. You need to get him a jersey. Jersey number four is going to your cousin. Sam. So Sam is part of the New Zealand Warriors team, number four in Dan's Jink Squad. Thank you, April, for dobing him in. We'll get in touch with them.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Shout out as well to Archie Brothers New Market, where the bunker is going to be happening. These holidays at Archie Brothers New Market, you can load your card and they'll double your credit. How good. And we do have some, as they said, Warriors merch packs to give away from Postie. Shop your official license NRR Warriors merch at Postie.
Starting point is 00:37:59 It's selling fast. Yeah, they've got some really, like, great gear. It's affordable as well. Really cheap as well compared to what you're normally playing around the country. So come join me at Archie Brothers this Sunday, and you'll completely forget about the game because you're underground having fun. All right, more chances to join the New Zealand Warriors Squad after 8 o'clock this morning. Coming up on the Edge Breakfast.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Why is everyone online talking about both Sydney Sweeney and Martha Stewart's nudes? Find out next. Clint McGinn-Dane. Edge Breakfast. The Edge. Clint Meggin' Dan's scandal. Female athletes around the world are showing their hate for a new Novig Sports betting app fronted by a nude Sydney Sweeney after years of frustration for not being taken.
Starting point is 00:38:38 and seriously and being sexualised in their fields with messages to girls saying your body is an instrument, not an autumn ornament. And Martha Stewart has uploaded a photo of herself with the caption, I've been thinking of releasing my nudes with a photo of herself showing off a nude
Starting point is 00:38:54 coloured lipstick. Please don't. Care for your hair and pick up a well-a-blunt umbrella, see rottiewain.com to ease and sees apply. Just hits in Auckland. Edge. The edge. Clint Meg and Dan. What's the lipstick company? She hasn't tagged one.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Oh, because I was going to say they must be paying through the nose. It's actually a photo of her like kind of a selfie pouting and she's wearing a nude lipstick and she said I've been thinking about releasing my nudes. Yeah. Bit of a fun, bit of a laugh. How old do you reckon she is? Oh, she's 80 something, isn't she? Yeah, don't release nudes in your 80s. I think that should be the unwritten rule.
Starting point is 00:39:27 I don't know. One of that's a rule in the retirement village. 85. Yeah. 85. I think they should be kept to the retirement village, not public. Yeah. Just send them around the group chat at the retirement village.
Starting point is 00:39:38 else. All right. Well, we're going to catch up with our Love Jeannie next. Actually, a friend of the show who was on a matchmaking app website and ended up buying the business.
Starting point is 00:39:50 So now she gets all of the data that is collated from single people looking for love and is actually now really wise when it comes to what to do, what not to do in the dating sphere. Now the apps are becoming less and less reliable for the dating. Now this has been growing, eh? The websites.
Starting point is 00:40:05 This is the way to find love apparently, so we'll chat to we're next. Get you Clint McGick and Dan Fax. The edge. The love genie. This morning, boys, we have somebody very interesting, probably one of the most interesting jobs out there. We have Jeannie who runs a matchmaking business for people to try and find love in New Zealand.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Morning, Jeannie. Good morning. Thank you so much for having me. Please tell me the business is called the Love Jeannie. Oh, that would be so much better. We will grant your three love wishes. We're three matches. We're three matches.
Starting point is 00:40:36 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. As long as no one's driving. my bottle, that's all I could say. All right, Jenny, it's called shortlist? Yes, that's correct. Yeah, shortlist dating. I hear you were a customer before you bought the business. Yeah, so I signed on to be a client, which I was really excited about.
Starting point is 00:40:52 I had suffered the at fatigue. Like, everybody is going through at the moment, being single for six years, and I was really wanting to try something different. Okay, so once you own the company, I imagine you are now privy. The steps. Yeah, to a lot of the information. about what people are doing wrong and what people are most likely looking for
Starting point is 00:41:12 or least looking for. Like you have a lot of relationship data now. Yeah, totally. A huge amount of my clients are now non-drinkers. I'm very sober, curious. A lot of hiking going on people. You know, join a hiking club. If you're wanting to find love,
Starting point is 00:41:27 it seems to be where it's at. Do you find, looking in the back end now and seeing all these people coming to you, do you find more often than not that the saying opposites attract as a thing? More things in common, same value systems. A hundred percent, having your own interest is important, but you've got to have those fundamental things in common that you'd like to do together.
Starting point is 00:41:49 If Meg was single and she came to you, what's the sort of man you'd find for her on paper? All woman, all women, to be fair. Yeah, she's keen on both. Honestly, I'd have to really dive into all the bits and pieces you're interested in Meg. Like, what gets you going, She's colour, beards, baldness. She loves felting and minestrony.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Yeah. I like a good Lucreusay set and I like hobbies. So, I mean, it could go either way. But luckily, I found my person. I feel very blessed with that and I know my privilege. And my luck of how great it is because you're right, he is my best friend. And I feel slight. A lot of people I've
Starting point is 00:42:26 heard have said marriage is hard and there are definitely parts where it is stressful times. But in the end, it all comes down to like you wanted to communicate because you love this person they are, your best friend. And have you found your person now, Jenny? No, still single. So you do get first dibs. Your Jeannie gets the filter through all the people. No, I'm a true professional over here and I'm very focused on making this business work for the community.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Okay, well, if you want to be matchmade, you can text the word shortlist to 3 through 4.3 and I'll send you back the link anyway for people to check it out. Thank you so much, guys. It's been so lovely to talk. Yeah. Thanks, Jeannie. The love Jeannie. You do need to rebrand that, I think. 17 to 8 Meg talks the Luteal phase Next Yeah I kind of spoke about this in podcast yesterday And Clint you said it was quite educational
Starting point is 00:43:19 It was actually He'd never heard of it He'd never heard of it I don't know what this is You'll have a woman in your life Whether it be a mum, your partner A sister daughter
Starting point is 00:43:28 And I think us guys think we know about it But I was You were still spitting facts To me yesterday Really? Yeah just stay away That's my advice. Just for me, the most interesting thing was
Starting point is 00:43:40 after the fact, you could look back and admit that some of the things you did were a little unreasonable in the moment, but you don't realize at the time it's because of this phase that happens to you every single month. Crazy and you think, oh, surely she'll know this next month. You'll know it because bad luck. No, no. It's almost like it's a cycle. The Edge is the Home of Clint McGahn.
Starting point is 00:44:02 We do a podcast after the show called Overtinkers. In honor, Meg was talking about the ludial phase. Yeah, I learned some stuff Even though I thought I already knew about it She's an educator, she really is Did we get an intro made? I sent some stuff to Brady this morning About Producer Brady
Starting point is 00:44:17 With some like songs about being crazy Well, we've had intros before But our producer Brock made them And they were shocking at best Okay, well I have one And I haven't heard it So I guess we'll all hear it together Oh God
Starting point is 00:44:33 Blame it on the Luteo Brilliant Okay It's not what I asked for He has his own voice. Shock. Didn't even try to sound like Michael Jackson. So the lyrial phase, women that go through menstrual cycles have four stages of that cycle.
Starting point is 00:44:50 What you normally probably will know is that a very basic knowledge is probably like three weeks of no period and then they get a period and everything turns to hell, right? That's kind of the mindset. When really there are four stages. You have ovulation, which is when people can. The only time that a woman can get pregnant is during that window of ovulation, which if you've actually ever tried for a baby, it's a full. very small. And we've been taught our whole lives, basically, well, I know when I was growing up,
Starting point is 00:45:15 you can get pregnant any time, whereas men can get women pregnant at any time, and they're always ready to go, but women, it's a tiny window. And then just before you have your period, it's something called the ludial phase, and you have this big hormone dip. And it is such an insane time,
Starting point is 00:45:29 and I think it's been since I've had my second child. It's gotten incredibly more intense and worse. My rage is, I don't know if I'm going, through perimenopause. Oh, we know. No, I'm just talking. But when I'm in my lyrical phase, it is like I have a kind of blind...
Starting point is 00:45:52 I don't know what happens to me. Right? Was it rage? It's rage. I have no patience. I feel like crying the entire time. When you're over a lump in your throat, you're like, I just want to cry.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Everything's frustrating. I want to scream. I need to go to a rage room. And then every month, I know this is shocking. It catches me by... surprise. And every month, once I get my period, I go, oh, God, what have I said and done? I said to my husband, when he came out of surgery last week, he was told that he couldn't sign any contracts for like 48 hours. Because he'd been under anesthetic. Exactly. I feel like I shouldn't
Starting point is 00:46:27 be able to do anything important during my ludicifies. I shouldn't be able to have messenger chats. I shouldn't be able to talk to my workmates about things. I shouldn't be able to have arguments with my husband. There should be about three or four days in the month where everyone goes, just let her be just let her go just let her go watch your go watch your fly
Starting point is 00:46:45 you know what to be so helpful if evolution meant that like women got like I don't know like a slightly different colour like maybe their skin got redder and it was just
Starting point is 00:46:55 like my next going redder right now so it was like us as partners and his friends would be like careful you know
Starting point is 00:47:02 it's just a nice little warning to go cool one of our old bosses Casey I'm sure he'll be fine with me saying this has his wife's period tracked on an app called Flow.
Starting point is 00:47:14 And then it sends notifications saying, good idea to get some flowers today. Good idea to like go easy on the wife today because it knows her flow and whereabouts. And I'm speaking from my experience. I've only found this sort of intense Luteal face happening after my second kid. There'll be other women out there that doesn't fit them at all.
Starting point is 00:47:31 So I'm just saying I'm finding it. Are you there now? Are you in the Luteal now? I think I might. Yeah, because here's a peep behind the curtain. This is 100% true. about three minutes ago during the song Meg just said to me, out of the blue, can I punch you in the face?
Starting point is 00:47:46 It was a question. You declined. I was sitting here doing an email. You declined. Mind in my own business and I said, I'll say no this time. I appreciate that. So thank you for not taking that. Okay, well, the thing that I find really interesting,
Starting point is 00:48:00 and if you would like to blame it on the ludial, because it is the ludial's fault, let us know what, looking back, you realised that you did, or a decision you made, or a thing that you said and you go, yeah, that was actually all the Luteal phases fault. Yeah, absolutely. Blame it on the Luteal.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's play the intro again because that was brilliant. Don't blame it on sunshine. Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't know what good turns. Take it away, Brady. Blame it on the Lutiel. It's seamless.
Starting point is 00:48:27 It really is seamless. I do love it. Yeah. Oh, it under the Edge 3343. No judgment. It's called the Jackson 6. It's been. The Edge is the home of Clint McGend.
Starting point is 00:48:38 I'ma Gn DeH. Comeean Dan. Don't blame it on the sunshed. Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't blame it on the good times. Yeah, we've started to realize that life can get away on you in that week and you can make a lot of crazy decision. A lot of interesting decisions that you may not make in the other three weeks of the month, according to Meg, allegedly. Well, again, and I said it was just my experience, and I just got a text saying, make sure you're not trivializing women's emotions and promoting the idea.
Starting point is 00:49:07 were unstable and unreliable. That's why I said it's my experience of it that I have had with these changes that I'm experiencing. And I found that my friends have also mentioned to me that they're finding these moments, postpartum, like having moments of these rage, ludicial phases. Or like just frustration.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I just, my fuse is shorter. So wait, when people make that joke going, oh, you're on your period? You're definitely not because that's actually a chill week. Well, for me, it's a chill week. It's different. I have a lot of pain during that week. physical pain, but I don't have any sort of like fogging of my mind in that week.
Starting point is 00:49:42 But again, everybody's different. I just find it crazy that, yeah, for like 25% of the month, you could be making decisions that you look back on and regret. That's terrifying. It's hard for me. It's interesting to see, though, because there's a lot of women texting it. There's one person that said it was negative, a lot of other people texting and admitting, and one person, I'm going to quote them, saying, I am a raging bee on the Luteel.
Starting point is 00:50:07 And I'll admit it. And look, I mean, keeps life interesting. It does, yeah. It must suck. It does. Knowing that you can look back and go, Jesus Christ, I was unrational and horrible. Yeah, I'm probably a bit too hard there.
Starting point is 00:50:21 The thing is, though, girls have an excuse. Guys don't. Yeah. And there is a lot of dudes out there that are also raging bees. Yeah, yeah. But you can't go, blame it on the Lutio. Hormones, yeah. Suzy, morning.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Morning, Suze. Morning, how you guys. Yeah, good. What are you blaming on the Lutiel? I know, I felt the rage myself. I was coming home from work. My boyfriend had picked me up, and he said something wrong. I don't even know what it was now, but when we got out of the car, I swung my handbag at him.
Starting point is 00:50:51 And then he said to me, let it all out. So I kicked him. Oh, God, no. And then the neighbour came out from outside and asked him if he was okay. Fair enough. Yeah, fair. But, I mean, you can't even remember what's, you know, you can't even remember what he said. No, it was just a bad day at work
Starting point is 00:51:09 And I was just probably just Yeah, venting But at the same time I was so mad The whacking someone with a handbag Is a signature move Of any lady over 70 Hey
Starting point is 00:51:20 The classic I'll get you with my handbag It's a great move I wish there was more research done with that I think there would be something That we could have Or that helps us That maybe we haven't looked into the research
Starting point is 00:51:31 Of like if there's a certain food Or that I could eat You know what I mean? I feel like there should be some research behind the help of this part of the Holland Drs. He's also text through saying, wait till you're sick with your daughters. God help guy. Then it's everyone
Starting point is 00:51:45 for themselves. All right, easy money next. If you missed it, we already gave way $1,000 to Christy an hour ago at 7. A drink. Yeah, hey, right. Chrisie! You've just won. $1,000.
Starting point is 00:52:06 So she's now going to her daughter's 21st, or she's going to fly there rather than driving, I think, now. Oh, no. did say or she might spend it on herself. So maybe she's still deciding. All right, well, if you need a thousand bucks and you think you can get the job done as well and you listen to the car every morning, I could have done that.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Prove it. Easy money. Time for your favorite game. Easy money. Here we go. Let's get away a thousand bucks back to back. The boss will love that. 30 seconds on the clock. Just give us 10 answers this morning, sounding with that letter L, hopefully not for loser.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Hi, Cal. You're playing this morning? Morning. How's Wellington this morning, Cal? Can't beat it on a good day. Yeah, it's okay. It was a little chilly this morning, but clouds are passing and it's turning out to be a good one. Okay, let's win you a thousand bucks.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Let's make it a better one. Yeah. Al is a little bit. All right, you can pass, Kel. If we've got time, we'll come back. That's what we did at 7 o'clock for Chrissy. But you can't give us the same answer twice. That's the only couple of rules.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Not all good. Okay, let's do this. Come on. Okay, Cal, give me a food. Lasagna. A car part. A light. A city.
Starting point is 00:53:22 London. An item of clothing. Leggings. An item of makeup. Lash extenders. A job. A landscaper. An Italian food.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Lentals. Linguini. Something you grow. Legumes. A fabric. Lemon. Wow, that was nine. And would you want, tell me what, Cal, it was hard because Italian food and a food,
Starting point is 00:53:52 I think is a real tough one from my team that, because two lasagna's you could have done, but you made it. Yeah, true. I love how you overrode your partner there as well. She said lentils and you went linguine. No, linguine. No. Not the partner. That's the kids.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Oh, the kids. Let me see, Cal, if you had enough time, if you would have got in the last one, give me a currency. This was number 10. Yes. You might have be the only person that would have actually got that if you had enough time. Yeah. Oh, well done.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Good effort, Cal. Great effort. Thank you so much. Wow, if you think about it, that's amazing, I would never have gotten Lera. I don't even know what it is. Coming up next, guys, it is crunch time for the Warriors this weekend.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Basically, it's sudden death, isn't it? Yeah, it is now. Unfortunately, I have to lose in the first round, so it's going to be do or die against the Newcastle Knights. Move to Eden Park. Tickets go and sell midday today as well If you're not a Warriors like member
Starting point is 00:54:47 So we need to get all the unlucky people All the jixes Away from the tally Away from the game And underground And we've secured the perfect venue For you to be entertained for 80 minutes Get your Clint McGinn Dan Fex
Starting point is 00:55:02 The Edge team Clint Megan Dan's New Zealand Warriors Yeah Captain at Eden Park this Sunday Sudden Death if they lose They're out Right and we need as
Starting point is 00:55:12 much of a chance of winning this weekend, which means that me, me myself, am taking myself out of the equation. Every time I watch a game, they lose. I don't know if it's a jinx or whether it's just a coincidence, but I don't want to take that risk again. We've got some people on the list already. Yeah, they're already going to be a part of your... What do you need?
Starting point is 00:55:34 Because you need, like, I mean, if an NRL team is a team of 13, do you want 13 of the unluckiest Kiwis sacrificing themselves for the greater good of the whilst? Yeah. Think of it doing this for your country. We've secured a bunker consisting of Archie Brothers a new market. So we're going to go down into Archie Brothers. There won't be any sign of the Warriors,
Starting point is 00:55:51 apart from some free merch, thanks to Posty Plus. Thank you, Posty Plus. And we're going to not have the game on. We're going to sacrifice ourselves and have a fun night at Archie Brothers, be completely distracted, and then come out and see if we've won. Yeah, so if you haven't been along before, it's my kid's happy place. It's like an arcade where you'll be playing arcades the whole time.
Starting point is 00:56:11 They've got a temper and bowling lane. They've got bumper cars. Bumper cars. They've got food. There'll be a bar tab. And no Warriors play. Live music. And yeah, we have been live music as well as you see Clint.
Starting point is 00:56:21 So it's going to be a really, really cool time. So you get to decide, Dan, who you want to have on your team. Who's up first, Clint? Okay, we have Stacey back on. You may remember from last week. Who said that she jinxed our star winger, Dallin Wattenderz Elesniak and said to her partner, man, he takes a hit up and he never gets injured.
Starting point is 00:56:39 Minutes later, broken collarbone, gone for the season. Welcome back, Stacey. Hey, Team. I mean, Stacy, I haven't recognized that's instant entry into the Warriors team to be in the bunker on Sunday. Especially when I tell you what I did on the weekend. Oh, God. What did you do, Stacy? I may have watched them, and they obviously lost.
Starting point is 00:57:00 Yeah, okay, Stacy, you're in the bunker. You need to be in there. What's her jersey number, Clint? You'll be jersey number two. Oh, well done. Stacy. Nice. Stacy.
Starting point is 00:57:07 Okay, so you can be with me in the bunker Sunday. and it's going to be a fun night out. In fact, you know what? I'm going to say it's going to be even more fun than watching the Warriors. Well, I'll tell you what, it'll be a fun night out, but it'll be a bloody nightmare for a Warriors fan because there won't be a screen in sight. All right, I've got a few others that have DM'd or text through, Dan, their application.
Starting point is 00:57:26 I've got standards for this squad. Okay. Is this good enough to join your New Zealand Warriors squad? Big Mike. Love him. His curse is that he has an uncanny ability to make any line go slower by standing in it. He's being divorced twice. So it says,
Starting point is 00:57:40 Unlucky in Love, and the Warriors have lost half of the games that he's watched this year. I think we don't want to risk it with Big Mike. I think he should be in the squad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Oh my gosh, what a bizarre thing to realize that you make lines go slower. Like as soon as you're in it, you'll be that queue just slow. So you're like, this cue's going faster. Definitely,
Starting point is 00:57:58 I've watched it. Yeah, true. Yeah, yeah, on the motorway and stuff. That always happens to me as well. That's crazy. We've got texts coming in as well, so it looks like some people
Starting point is 00:58:06 are happy to sacrifice himself down. Yeah, so we need to compile as many people, as we can. Well, 13 max, obviously, for the squad. And we've already got a few, so there's more places available. Give us a call, 0,800 The Edge. The more unlucky, the better. Let's give it of all the jinxes. We thank you for your sacrifice.
Starting point is 00:58:26 The Warriors, thank you for your sacrifice. You're doing it for your country, remember New Zealand? I'm just going along for the free food. Yeah. Really? The Edge is the home of Clint McGinn Dan. The Edge. Clint Megan Dan's, New Zealand Warriors.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Are you worried that you are a jinx? like our damn when it comes to the Warriors. Yeah, I've watched many games the season, and every game I've watched properly, they've lost. Well, okay, Sarah has DM'd us saying she would love to get a jersey and be part of the Jink Squad. She has an extraordinary talent for arriving seconds after something good has happened. She said she once waited hours for the latest iPhone,
Starting point is 00:59:04 only to watch the last one get sold to the customer in front of her. Oh, that is unlucky. And she bought concert tickets to her favourite artist last year. The artist announced the second cheaper show the following week. Oh God, that would just piss you off as well, wouldn't it? That happens all the time. It does. It happens a lot when it does do that. I don't know if it's unlucky enough, though.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I tend to agree. Oh, really? There's only burning spots. Yeah, and it's not very specific for the Warriors. I think we need to save space for the really unlucky people on the squad. All right, well, we do have Sunny. Sunny, tell us why you're unlucky to get on the squad. Hi, guys.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Every time I watch the game, we always lose. And I always miss the good game. that we win. See, that to me seems like you need to be in the squad. You need to be as far away from any Warriors game as possible, being completely distracted.
Starting point is 00:59:51 So, you know what, Sunny? You're on the squad. Hey! Is that Jersey number five? Yay, thank you guys. You've made the selection. Yeah, okay, we're going to have a fun night. Merch pack, thanks to Post-E Plus as well.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Tony. Morning, Tom. Hi. Good morning. Why do you think you deserve to be on the squad? Oh, well, I just messaged in that we I'm not unlucky, but me and my partner would love to hang out with you. Oh, here's the thing, Tony.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Here's the thing, I would love to hang out with you as well, nothing more. But if you're not unlucky, we need as many lucky people above ground. If you're lucky, we should just give you a Warriors merch pack thanks to Postie Plus and you should come to Eden Park with me. Yeah, yeah, true, is that part of the gig? So we'll give you a Posty Plus Warriors pack, but you need to stay above ground. We'll meet up another time. Sounds good.
Starting point is 01:00:40 Okay. This is great. I feel bad now. All right, Jono. Morning, Jono. Yo, hey guys, how's it going? Are you unlucky? We talk to you quite often and you are you sound like a lucky person.
Starting point is 01:00:50 You're a lucky guy. Yeah, you were on the Bachelorette. That's hard to get on. How'd you go on that, by the way? I got about halfway. Fritred to Argentina, so that wasn't too bad. Oh, but didn't find love. Unlucky.
Starting point is 01:01:01 Whoa, but a free to Argentina at the moment, you're 50-50 for me in the bunker, bro? Yeah, so what's happened to you recently that makes you feel unlucky? Well, I mean, are you guys? suspicious on like the whole black cats crossing a past because i had one of those yesterday when i was going home from work me's not because i'm very anti yeah because black cats don't get adopted because people are superstitious and gets me upset if you'd accidentally run over said black cat i would be like oh that is unlucky well that would be unlucky for the cat the cat could go on the squad yeah but then the superstition
Starting point is 01:01:31 i feel like oh i don't know black cats i wonder whether johnny needs to be in the squad it's a superstition part really. It's, I don't know, I don't want to jinx it, you know. Okay, well, Wood. It's up to you, Dan. It's your squad. I think he's on the squad. He has to be. He has to be. He's in the squad.
Starting point is 01:01:49 All right, you'll get your jersey number, mate, and you'll be at Archie Brothers and New Market. These school holidays, by the way, Archie Brothers, load your card and they'll double your credit. A lot of people on the text machine saying they're very unlucky. A lot of them just wanting to come to Archie Brothers to hang out. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. You know what?
Starting point is 01:02:02 Even my son who's excited about going to go to the game, when he finds out everyone else is going to Archie Brothers, he will want to bail. You can just come along. I don't think they've got to close down, aren't you, just for us? So you could just come along, but just not be on the squad. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:13 We can hang out. But yeah, we've still got some spaces left for the truly unlucky jinx people, okay? We'll give them out throughout the rest of the week. And hey, we appreciate your service because for me, missing the Warriors game and going somewhere where it's not on the TV
Starting point is 01:02:25 and I'm not allowed to know the score, nightmare stuff, and I'm not prepared to make that sacrifice for the country. Yeah. I want to be there at the game. Cheer in a moment. I feel like you are a slight jinks. No, the only time, I mean, they lost last week. Didn't you go to Disneyland and then everyone got influenza?
Starting point is 01:02:41 You need to be on the squad. I'm not on the squad. Tell you what, I won't go watch it in the corporate box again like last week. Maybe that's what it was. Hey, an incredible story. You heard us talking about this one yesterday. The craziest coincidence ever about two adopted sisters that ended up randomly becoming friends
Starting point is 01:03:00 not aware that they were actually separated at birth. Mina, one of those sisters, joins us on the show next. It's Breakfast, Clint McGinn Dan. Now you may have heard us talking about Mina and her sister yesterday when we were doing Beat That Coincidence. A crazy coincidental story. And we reached out to both the sisters
Starting point is 01:03:20 and we have got one of them, Mina on the show with us. Now, who was separated from her sister. They were both adopted out. And then years and years later, as far as we know, they bumped into each other and became friends, but had no idea until only just recently as adults that the whole time they've been sisters. Yeah, this has been doing the rounds.
Starting point is 01:03:42 Like, massive story on the BBC a couple of days ago, and we've managed to track one of them down. Mina, welcome to the show. First of all, how old were you and your sister when you were adopted out as kids? I was four months old, and my sister was three and a half months. We met at an event for all adoptees in the Netherlands in 1986. And that's when I saw her. And I thought, oh my gosh, she looked so like we. She had the same nose and I.
Starting point is 01:04:16 We spoke about being a sister, but that had to be the lottery if it was really possible. But now it is. Your friends for how long? We were friends, I guess, from 14 until 28. That was the last time that I spoke to her. I was pregnant for my oldest Noah and she congratulating me and that was the last time that we spoke
Starting point is 01:04:39 to each other. How much time passed before you start doing a little bit of digging and then go, oh my God, I think my old best friend is my biological sister. She did the test last April and the results came up in May and she had the results
Starting point is 01:04:55 but also she had a DNA match and that was me. Wow. And I did the DNA test in 2007. 17, so I waited all those years for her. Mina, is there any chance that you have any other siblings? Yes, there is, but we don't know, because that's the reason why I'm telling everybody do a DNA test.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Yeah. When do you find out, and what are you doing when you find out, oh my God, my best friend has been my sister this whole time? I just put my son in bed here seven, so I read him a book and I got down stairs. I made a cup of tea sit on the couch, and then I heard a ping from Facebook, and I grabbed my phone and it was Minal and she was saying hey Neina how are you I'm Minal do you remember me we were on that event and we wrote letters to each other we called each other's sis in those letters and at that moment I recognized her name and I saw her picture and she wasn't changed a bit so I thought oh my gosh
Starting point is 01:05:52 that's her are you guys catching up for family Christmas this year yes yes what a full circle moment adopted out in India which I would say would be incredible even to find them finally straight away. Like the millions and millions of people in India, this whole time, your best friend's being your sister. First of all, we're going with our families to Paris together. That's going to be so amazing. Mina, thank you so much for your time.
Starting point is 01:06:17 We're so happy for you. We'll encourage people to do a DNA test because maybe we can inspire more people to link together. Yeah, Meg's always look like me. I've had wondered. Yeah, we have wondered. Thank you so much, Mina. Man, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Oh, I know how that happens. They were meant to be. Yeah, the world wanted them to find each other again. You would have seen the story that is taken over every new site and feed about Joanna or Joanna, who won the high rocks competition yesterday, but also at the same time soiled herself during it. All through the high rocks course. Imagine being known worldwide, the leading story worldwide, because you soiled yourself.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Oh, you know what I, because we thought about trying to get her on, but of course she's not. not doing interviews. Because I think in hindsight it'd look back and be a bit maybe you're regretful. There are some people going, no, good on her.
Starting point is 01:07:08 She posted a photo, she posted a photo saying a win's a win. No, that's, no. Okay, we'll chat about it next. I think you should be instantly disqualified. I don't care if you're looking to post a P.B. and win. Sorry, you crap yourself. You're out.
Starting point is 01:07:19 Yeah, I agree. Let's talk about it next. Clint feels very passionate about this. Listen to your favorite breakfast show whenever you like. Clint Meg and Dan. Is it Joanna? It's Joanne. Joanna, I can't pronounce her last name.
Starting point is 01:07:33 She is the world champion for the high rocks competition in Beijing, and she soiled herself about mid-race, and nobody stopped her, and she didn't stop herself. There's a difference between, I think, just, oh, you sole herself, and it running all down the back of your legs, down your calves, and into your shoes. Now, it's the reason she won it, only because she soiled herself, and everybody else was like, I'm out. I don't want to be take part of this.
Starting point is 01:07:58 You know, like, is that the reason? Well, I don't know. I don't know if everyone else ignored it, but the problem is, like, some people were saying, you know, this has happened before where a woman ran a marathon 20 years ago and she saw it herself and nobody said anything. Well, a marathon, for one, is a little different also to an indoor facility using the same equipment. They had to rip the carpet up after this happened. So I think it's a little bit different. And if there are rules for hygiene. Well, that's what I'm just looking up now, Clint, actually. This should be definitely top of that last year. Clint, I'm actually literally looking up the rules and it says, is one of the rules.
Starting point is 01:08:30 The prohibited actions and behaviours, if people ignore hygiene or medical risks, race directors can pull competitors who pose a severe hygiene or health hazard on the course. Well, that seems. You can't spit. You can't spit or you can't clear your nostril on the floor. You can't put water on top of your head. Like, I just don't understand how, to me, in hygiene is, feces is probably the biggest one. Anyway, they've done a statement to our community. As our sport continues to evolve, we are encountering you and increasingly.
Starting point is 01:09:00 increasingly complex situations that challenge us. This isn't complex. No. We ask our athletes to push themselves to their highest levels. At times they will go beyond what even was thought was possible. That courage, resilience and refusal to give in precisely is what makes our athletes so elite and so extraordinary. Oh, I don't think elites are word for it. Hirox is clear by codenaminated.
Starting point is 01:09:22 Thank you. And medical procedures in place. In this instance, an unforeseen situation arose in which protocols designed for elite competition and mass participation. became blurred. I don't think it's a cut. It's just simple. I think the rule should be if you crap yourself, you're out. You're out.
Starting point is 01:09:40 And you know what High Rock should have said? We missed this one. Our bad, she should have been disqualified. And official should have taken her off the course. Put it this way. We didn't. We dropped the ball. Put it this way. If I'm running behind her and I'm about to go on the thing and she is in front of me and shits herself, I'm out.
Starting point is 01:09:56 I'm not taking part. Yeah. It's like they put all of their, uh, the, care into her finishing or winning the race versus the people that will also there to compete and I think that's why I angers other people they're saying that it wasn't up to her, it was up to her coaches or the high rocks judges to pull her out. I don't understand. I mean, I don't know. I mean, I'm very clearly not an elite athlete so I don't know that mindset but I can't
Starting point is 01:10:20 understand how you don't have this moment of like I've sord myself for the people around me I must take myself out of the competition. You don't have that bit of you know like self-reflection. for others? I know. You know, they say hindsight's 2020. Have we all had that moment
Starting point is 01:10:36 where we like look back on something and go, what was I thinking, men? I think this woman, and I feel a little bit sorry for it in the respect that now the whole world is talking about
Starting point is 01:10:47 what is essentially the most embarrassing thing that can happen to a human being, soiling yourself as an adult. I mean, the only reason that I'm trying to play devil's advocate is because I've seen myself
Starting point is 01:10:56 do things in the past where at the time, I thought it was the right thing to do. And now I look back 17 years later and go, no, I definitely should not have sung my vowels in an original song whilst I made everyone watch. Yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 01:11:11 You know, that is one of those moments that you'll think about for the rest of your life, just like this lady that soiled herself in the high rocks. Well, yeah, I don't know if she'll ever get the hindsight to reflect. I think she's just happy that she won. She said a win's a win. Do we give people the opportunity to look back in hindsight and say, what was I thinking? I look back on this moment.
Starting point is 01:11:30 a few months ago now, but I was just walking and I waved at a lady that was waving, who I thought was at me, but it was someone behind me, she saw me wave, I'd never met her. It was the most embarrassing moment ever. And like, stuff just lives rent-free in your head. So what is it for you? Oh, 800, the edge.
Starting point is 01:11:46 Yeah, what's that thing that lives rent-free where you just go, what was I thinking? And the people that are just admitting they've had themselves in the past, we don't want that. You've just admitted for no reason. Take the edge off your day with Clint Meg and Dan. The benefit of hindsight, what do you look back on your life and go, what was I thinking?
Starting point is 01:12:02 What was that? Maybe that was the wrong sort of decision. Somebody texted saying, I thought I could cut my own hair during lockdown. Thought I'd give myself a fringe, but it all went so badly. I ended up giving myself a complete buzz cut and telling everyone it was intentional. How do you go from a fringe to a buzz cut? I don't think if you've got no experience, giving yourself a hair cut, never ends well. That's crazy. Somebody asked, I don't know what I was thinking, but she said a few years back, I bought a very
Starting point is 01:12:25 expensive white couch. I have a three and a five-year-old. Obviously that was a bad decision. That makes me think of my friend who I used to flat with. I'm not going to name her, but this is a completely true story. She had just started at the gym. And I think she'll look back on starting at the gym as the biggest regret of her life because she was on a treadmill, very unfit, and slipped and grabbed onto the railing on the treadmill,
Starting point is 01:12:45 but her legs were flailing behind her, and the treadmill kept going, ripped her tights and underneath straight off, and then was flying back against the wall from the waist-down nude. Didn't we get her on? Yeah, she was very bad. She hates talking about it now to the... the point where like, even if you mention it and pass it when you're there. Well, I bet she loves that you bring it up on radio still. Didn't name her.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Sorry, Grace. Hey! All right. Let's go to Mel. Oh, at 100th edge. Hi, Mal. Good morning. What happened to you, Mel?
Starting point is 01:13:14 So I started a new job, and they did a bit of a welcome to the firm. This is Melanie. Introduced me. A hundred staff. And I just got really awkward and curtseyed in front of the entire team. Oh, Mel. Oh, Mel. Oh, Mel.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Oh. Mow. You're better than that. And now does everyone curtsy you? And they're like morning, Mal, curtsy. I think enough times past, but there was a period of that. Not have you worked here, Mal. We'd still be doing it.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Honestly, I'd be curtseying at you everywhere you were. I'd make sure every time you arrive at work, I'm standing at the front door and curtsying you. The perfect example. Somebody asked Texan said, I dated a guy for six months who lived with his ex. He just kept saying they were friends, but it turns out they were sleeping together, obviously, the whole time. I look back and genuinely wonder if I had a functioning brain then. It's like the time that my ex tried to break up with me and I stole his shoe because I thought that would stop him.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Can't leave with only one shoe. That was the moment. What was your second? You're just like, you know what? You're with me for life. That was it. I really thought you can't leave without your shoe. Did he only have one pair of shoes?
Starting point is 01:14:18 It was just in my house. No, I knew you broke up with him. Okay. Georgia, what did you look back on now and go, what was I thinking? Morning, Georgia? from Taupor? Oh, good morning. Good morning, sorry.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Sorry. You're all right. I was pulling out onto a country road and there were roadworks going on and the guy like ushered me to go and I didn't realize he meant to drive down the side on the grass and I drove straight onto fresh gravel that had been poured onto like fresh tar. And the guy started freaking out and I rolled down my window to say sorry but the worst part was as I heard his mate on the radio go what an estimate yet.
Starting point is 01:15:02 Oh I see you just sat there and it's like talking about you on the little buzz up and she never drove again. What an Ethan idiot. You must You must. He's triphied of road work. Yeah, I bet.
Starting point is 01:15:14 And also when you drive up, wouldn't you have that ding ding ding ding ding ding with all the rocks hitting the eye on your car? Yeah, it would have ruined your tyres, I'm sure. Yeah, well yeah, it was just I kind of just drove in and he looked at me like freaked out and I just stopped. And, yeah, it was terrible driver.
Starting point is 01:15:30 Now you see like a go-stop person and just like freak out and hit reverse. Honestly, yeah, it would sky up for life, that sort of stuff. Oh, man. I mean, it's just one of those things that that sort of stuff just lives in your brain, rent-free. And every time you might just be having a quiet moment to yourself. And you go, oh, remember that time I waved at the person that wasn't waving at me? Oh, yucky, yucky, yucky. Coming up with Clint Weekend.
Starting point is 01:15:52 Girls have taken it on the internet and told us what the smallest thing a guy did to instantly give them the ick. It doesn't take much, lads. Honestly, looking at this list, it's hard out there for singles. Yeah, especially if you're not, like, 100% attractive like me, you know,
Starting point is 01:16:13 that you're... What do you reckon? You're about 92%? You could have gone higher than that, Clint. That's a bad move from you. He said not 100%. You could have gone 90%. Why'd you got a 92?
Starting point is 01:16:24 What's unbelievable? Get your Clint Megan Dan Fax. All right, there's a list online, which actually gets longer and longer by the day because more people keep commenting. But I found some of the best ones of what is the smallest thing a guy did to instantly give somebody the ick. So, boys, I would like you to stay silent if you think you could have been guilty of doing this, maybe. The ick is such a subjective thing, isn't it? It is indeed. And these are very, very specific examples.
Starting point is 01:16:51 So I'm sure you wouldn't have done these specific. but if you're likely to have done it. It also doesn't take much by the sounds for girls to get the ick from us. I've got the ick from both of you numerous times than got over it. Oh, you think you can get over an egg? Some people say that's not an nick then. Oh, I just push through. You get paid to do it?
Starting point is 01:17:06 Yeah, I get paid, so I have to. Okay. He came out of the shower wearing his towel like a woman above his breasts, tucked under his armpits. You do that. You must do that. He's going to stay silent if you might be guilty. I don't do that. Clint, you...
Starting point is 01:17:19 I'd be lying if I said I hadn't done it. I don't always do. He texts me once, So we instead of sorry, and that was enough. So, so W-W-I-E. No, I've never done that. Never done that. Never do the old baby.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Talk-baby text. No, that is criminal. Time to stay quiet in this next one. He had a picture of himself as his lock screen. Clint, not a word. Among others, I have a rotating lock screen photos. Not a word. Sometimes it pops up, it's just you.
Starting point is 01:17:49 Well, no, my better. I'd be like me with my daughter. Jesus, But you are so narcissistic. Bring me with my son. These are things that girls have said that gave them the ick. He dried off after a shower using the shower curtain. No, I don't have a shower curtain.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Oh, it must be nice. You got a glass sliding door to you? No, we just don't have a shower. So shame. He would censor... Wait, you don't have a shower. That's a lie. He would censor swear words when he texts me.
Starting point is 01:18:15 So he had, instead of saying, writing out the word F, he would write F asterix, asterisk. Oh, no, I'm the opposite to that. Yeah. That's one I sung quite. often uses the F word. It doesn't take much to give you girls the ick, though, by the sounds. No, yeah, there's just little things. There must have been, like...
Starting point is 01:18:28 Very specific ones. He had one of those boomer phone cases that holds all of your credit cards. My mum's got one and those. She loves it. So does my mum. I think, but it is okay for a boomer, not for anybody under the age of I'd say 50. I don't even rock a case at all. He used to say hashtag in real life, so, oh, I've had a long day at work, hashtag, feeling tired.
Starting point is 01:18:46 Bloody hell. Yeah, okay, that's fair enough. They gave me, yeah. And the final one of he once stomped near a pension, and it didn't much. move. You've done that, Dan. I once stomped near a what? A pigeon. Like he stomped his fur and a pigeon was there on the pigeons. Oh yeah, it's almost like I'm a ghost.
Starting point is 01:19:00 Sometimes I wonder. Sometimes I wonder. I'm like, they don't even see me. They don't care. And what? Yeah, you're like lower than the pigeon. I think a pigeon might stompbed by me and I flew off. Want to hear more of Clint, Megan, Dan? But completely unfiltered. Catch the Overthinkers audio and video pod every single day on the Rover app.
