Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a podcast from Rover. Take the edge off your mornings with Clint Meg and Dan etch breakfast. Good morning, it is 1 to 6. On your Monday. Myself and Dan with you this morning. Yeah, Meg's too gutted to be here after the Warriors lost last night. Spoiler alert. What?
Starting point is 00:00:18 I thought that was just a bad dream. I woke up this morning, I thought, geez, I had this weirdest dream that we finished top of the table. And then we lost our first two playoff games and we were out of the comp. And I was like, that can't have happened. I know. It was a bit of, look, we have to unpack it. this later on this morning, but it was a bit
Starting point is 00:00:33 of a rough night all round for all of us. Some of us were in a bunker because we were a jinx for the Warriors. Clip was at home. There was another person on the show at the game. And I know you and the jinxes felt bad, and I was like, no, you did everything that you could have. And it still, unfortunately, wasn't enough. You know what? Ironically,
Starting point is 00:00:49 you needed to be in a different bunker. The one where they were actually looking at the video referees. And actually, and get a bit of chloroform. To be honest. I don't know if I would have done any better in that bunker either. Oh, you couldn't have done worse, mate. being very difficult for you to do worse. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:01:06 So the vibes are down across the country today. We'll try and bring it up. Yeah, we'll do our best. It's a Monday, the warrior's lost. The Edge is the home of Clint McGendam. The Edge. Morning Meg's always sick today, so it's just a booze. Time for a little episode of what would you do.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Maybe Lucy, who is covering for Meg, we'll get your opinion on this and the producers as well in the producer booth. And you can text through 33443. We went to get a coffee over the weekend Can I play this song, Dan? This is actually a bloody good throw of it. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I can play this. City High. Okay. Yeah, went to get a coffee. And I don't do it often anymore because coffees have got expensive, haven't they? Like, I try to make them at home where I can.
Starting point is 00:01:49 But I went to get it just my classic flat white. Yeah. Very Aucklander of me. Normal milk. One shot. So you're literally just two-word order. Yeah. That's great, actually.
Starting point is 00:01:58 That's great, actually. That's real. It's real. Flat white, normal milk. Oh, you actually have to specify... Flat white, normal milk, normal size, medium. Yeah, well, you almost have to, I feel, nowadays, because they go, what do you want, thoy, oat?
Starting point is 00:02:10 I'm like, I just want cow's milk. Yeah, if I don't say, then that should default, right? So I think I even, I just said flat white, please. Yeah, single shot. What? And the lady rings up on the till, and she goes, that'll be $7.50. Now... Wait, single shot?
Starting point is 00:02:26 $7.50. For a single shot? shot, cows milk coffee. Now I instantly sort of went, as she said 7.50, I thought that, surely that's wrong. Yeah, surely she's wrung that up wrong.
Starting point is 00:02:38 So I said, oh, sorry, just a single shot with normal cow's milk. And she went, yep, $750. Now I went, I want to know what everybody else would do here. Because I went, oh, you're all good, I'll leave it, and walked off.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Because I refused to pay $7.50 for a small coffee. with single shot. Oh, you did the whole actually, forget about it. I'll see you later. Yeah. I'd love to do that,
Starting point is 00:03:05 but I would bitch and moan internally and go, yeah, yeah, cool, no worries. It must be nice. I have $7.50 just to throw away. Guys. Plus surcharge because I'll be using Apple Pay. Yeah. A couple of texts on the text machine already,
Starting point is 00:03:17 someone saying I would have done the same as Dan, someone else saying I would have paid. Guys in the producer booth. I would have paid. You would have paid on. Brady's earning far less than you. Yeah. Do we think, just a consensus, $7.50 for a normal coffee's crazy, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:03:34 Yeah, that's ridiculous. That is mental. I would have, I genuinely, I think I would have, like, sarcastically gone, hang on, I'm just going to ring my mortgage broker and held my phone up to the end going, nah, he says I can't, sorry. So Carl will have gone the passag. Yeah, I'm quite passag with that stuff. Yeah, I'm sure it's $7.90 for a hot chocolate, someone else said, with normal milk.
Starting point is 00:03:54 I mean, a hot chocolate, I would almost give them that because, there's the chocolate in there. Oh, piss off. Yeah, but there's no coffee. There's some stupid coffee for chocolate. I know, but at least they can say, oh, there was a dollar there for the chocolate. $7.50 for milk and a little bit of coffee's crazy to be. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Maybe I'm old-fashioned. That's so strange that you would pay it for a kid's drink, but not for an adult drink. Yeah. Richie on 0800 the Edge morning, Richie. So you're saying that it's $7.90 for a hot chocolate where you go. That's no. I swear they've raised the price up. for a hot chocolate.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I don't understand why. Where are you? Are you in like Potson B, Auckland or something, Richie? No, man. I've been in Christchurch. Oh, what? 790 in Christchurch is mental.
Starting point is 00:04:41 You guys complain about the $7.50 here in Christchurch is $7.60. Cluck or a charge. It's stinging even harder in the South. Marilyn's text through saying I still pay $4. So there must have been a point somewhere where they've just snuck up the prices slightly because I've missed it.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Yeah, and at what point do you go, all right, enough. You just put in a bit of coffee and milk mixing it together. Yeah, so there you go. So I think it's a bit of a mixed bag. Most people saying that they would pay $7.50. Well, see, actually did do the walk off. I did, I walked off. When it went without my coffee, and you know what, I was grumpy all day.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Still am. I know. It's Monday still going on about it. He goes, don't worry, Clint, I got this break. I got something that I need to bring to the show. Piss off. Get you, Clint. We can't begin to end fix.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Voting is closed, but we will have an announcement at 8 o'clock this morning. Bird of the year. Who votes for it? Chelsea does. She said, yes, I voted for bird of the year. Yeah, well, you and 90,000 others, Chelsea. Apparently it's one of the biggest voting years ever, if not the biggest. A lot of people voting for their bird of the year.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I mean, maybe we get Chelsea on. How does it work? Are you allowed to vote, like, once a day for your favourite bird, or once you've locked in your vote? Is that done? and how do you decide which bird you're going to vote for? I mean, I'm looking now at the leaderboard when there's, so this was from the 17th of September, this was the latest polling before the votes close
Starting point is 00:06:10 like they do with the actual election for the prime minister. Let you know, like, who's in the lead? Yeah. So the top, I'm going to go through the top five. Okay. So at number five at the last poll, the Kia. Yeah, a little Kia. Sorry, no, the Taka-Hare was number five.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Oh. And then the care was number four The other ones are always ripping all the rubber off your caravan when you're in the south Yeah Number three was the New Zealand Falcon Which is one of my favourite birds I would say You know they're very majestic up they sort of just float through the sky The Carreraia
Starting point is 00:06:44 Yeah the Carriaria Then number two This is where it gets contentious because it's very close between the Kakapo At number two Which is a flightless bird isn't it the Kakapo Yeah which seems so mean to give like a bird feathers and wings and then go yeah but you're going to be too fat to fly
Starting point is 00:07:00 unfortunately, buddy. And one of my favourites as well leading with the most votes as of the 17th of September so it could have dropped back with the last minute votes. The black robin. The black robin currently was leading.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Where does that come from? Because you'll hear the Carcorpore and the Kia and whatever else. And then black robin. Why have we all gotten in behind the black robin for it? Chelsea, did you vote for the Black Robin this year? No, I voted for the yellow-eyed penguin. Oh, the yellow-eyed penguin? Well, I don't even know if that's...
Starting point is 00:07:34 Oh, 10th. Yeah, 10th. When polling was cut off for three days to go, he was sitting in 10th, so he had a little wee way to go. Yeah, so your vote did count, but maybe not enough to get it into the top three, Chelsea. How many votes do you get, Charles? How does the voting work? Do you get one a day for a certain amount of days, or what? No, so you only vote once, and you get five birds.
Starting point is 00:07:55 that you vote for a lot. So you can't like party vote the penguin and then. Well, wish you could. No, I wish you could, but no, no, you can only vote once and like I said, just for the five bird. And do you know then what the winner gets? Like, you know? I think they just get, I think, just get, how you say it,
Starting point is 00:08:17 like the word out there, you know, to try and save them. The government doesn't go and put $50,000 towards conservation and trying to grow their population. I think it does help as well, maybe towards extinction as well. Like if you win bird of the year, I don't think you're going extinct that same year, are you? They'd be making sure that they put in as much conservation as they can. Ella, though, disagrees with Chelsea.
Starting point is 00:08:39 You got five votes, Ella. Hey, Ella. Oh, yeah, you were saying, like Chelsea, you get to vote four, five birds one time. Yeah. But I only did it. My friend was really into it, so she sent me to link. Right, okay.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Okay, and who got your top vote? Probably don't. Well, it wasn't on my radar to start with, but okay. Yeah, so who'd you vote number one? You don't, like, rank them, you just get five votes. Oh, okay. I'm surprised the Kiwi's not there then. Yeah, the Kiwi's not even in the top 10.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Nah, maybe it's too obvious. Yeah, the key is always in there, apparently always in the running, because it's... You know what? I think it's just the five birds you can think of. You know? Andrew's texted through saying, what place did the Seagull get? I don't even think that would have made the top 50. It's a northern royal albatross
Starting point is 00:09:30 But obviously there's a I mean well it's a gull of the sea Sure of Dan came in at number eight Albatross massive So the winner which will have for you I mean we're all on tender hooks here At 8 o'clock this morning The winner of bird of the year 2020
Starting point is 00:09:44 Also if the Black Robin Which is currently out in front or was With three days ago if it does win I've got a fun idea for Dan I think we should have just mention it Then move on clip No I've got a really fun idea I think well let's leave it to the people
Starting point is 00:09:55 And see if they think it's a fun idea or not Because you might not think it is Okay. Coming up for the Edge Breakfast. All right, we'll get into Scandal next with the Megaway Sick today. If you're wondering why she's quiet, Lucy will be looking after that. Ed Shearer, and I saw him go out on stage, and he finally addressed. Yeah, he's had a bit of a rebuttal for all the backlash he's been getting for kicking McLemore.
Starting point is 00:10:17 What started is kicking McLemore offers to us. I'll have that for you shortly. Clint Meg and Dan's Scandal. MegaWay sick today, so we got Lucy normally from the night show looking after Scandal this morning. Yeah, let's go. So last night, Ed Shearing came out of a statement at his Philadelphia show where he addressed the controversy surrounding Meckermore's removal from his US tour. I honestly am so grateful that you're here tonight with me.
Starting point is 00:10:39 This concert is still a place where everyone is welcome and everyone here can stand beside people that have opposing views and everyone here can stand by people that they don't agree with on everything, but they can all agree on singing these songs. Yeah, too, gone down. I think he copped a bit of fleck for reading it. But it's obviously such an important message. He wanted it written down, so he said exactly what he wanted to say.
Starting point is 00:11:02 But then people are like, not genuine. Shut up and play a song, mate. Yeah, and then in royal scandal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's treatment by the media has been compared to Princess Dianas, with Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, saying he sees echoes of what happened to his sister and what she experienced. So some royal drama there for your Monday. I know. Yeah, I think he's also trying to sell a book, so I wonder whether there's a little bit of that in there. Tip for tat.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Yeah. All right. Bintuant, a blunt umbrella and $400 worth of well a hair care. from Rodney Wayne, you can just text the word here to 3343. Just hits in Auckland. Clint, Meg and Dan. Thank you, loose. You're welcome, doll.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Thanks for answering the early morning call as well. Yeah, yeah, good. I was like too busy reeling on my phone. I was like, I won't be able to get back to sleep now. The blue light too much. I know. A lot going on in the world at the moment, isn't there? Yeah, lots to see, lots to do.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah. Coming up next, a bit of a highlight from our Overtinkers podcast, which you can catch if you text Overthinkers to 3343. Something that happened to Meg in her. Would we say that it's in her? youth, Clint? Yeah, I can't say it's ever happened to me. Have you ever had a drink emptied on top of your head or thrown in your face?
Starting point is 00:12:07 On purpose. I've had it on my hair. Not on purpose though. Oh no, me, got one on purpose. Why? Next. Clint Meg and Dan. Edge Breakfast.
Starting point is 00:12:14 This is the Overthinkers podcast. We've got discussing if you've ever had a drink poured over your head or thrown in your face, which I think very few people would have a story for. Yeah. I've seen it happen at a wedding Where I can't remember who it was But it was two relatives Obviously didn't get on
Starting point is 00:12:36 And the guy came up to the woman I'm assuming he was her sister And he just said the words Went right up in her grill And said, mole like that And tipped a whole glass of beer over her head And she stood there Just while it happened
Starting point is 00:12:51 And then just walked off It was like Because your natural reaction would be to move straight away But she just let it slowly She took it Like almost like she wanted it to happen to steal focus and then she walked off in a huff. And I remember it stole focus of the whole wedding.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Okay, and then wouldn't you know it? Meg goes, I've had a drink thrown in my face before. Poor Meg. Yeah. Why would you ever throw that? Well, this is why. I was at a bar many years ago with my bestie Hannah. And we were having a great night.
Starting point is 00:13:19 God, we're having a fun night. Lots of inside jokes. We had one guy come up to us sitting by ourselves and he was very drunk and he was trying to, I think, hit on us. probably worse than Dan when it came to honey on people and he said to Hannah see I can tell you're a lovely girl
Starting point is 00:13:32 but I feel like you've got a bit of a funny face and that just tickled us for the rest of the night because we thought it was hilarious we're like I can tell you're a nice person but you got a bit of a funny face What a horrible thing to say to a girl by the way out of the blue and no one asked you to come over
Starting point is 00:13:44 exactly we're just sitting there having a girl's night but that's why I love my friendship with her so much we can find the funny and every so that guy disappears and then throughout the rest of the night we're laughing about that and some strange random guy drunk as anything
Starting point is 00:13:57 saw me and Hannah laughing and assume we were laughing at him. Han on heart, never saw the man in my life, had no idea why I'd laugh at him, was in that kind of weird. You know when guys are just so drunk, they should be kicked out and they're not there? They're not there. They're not there behind the eyes.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Came over to me, picked up my drink, threw it in my face, and said, stop laughing at me. Had no idea who, like, again, like, I don't even know what would be funny. And then I burst out laughing then, because I looked at Hannah, and I was like, I'm just at a drink throw it.
Starting point is 00:14:27 on me. God, you guys took some of it. That night. Exactly. Yeah. That was the last time Meg ever went out. Yeah. She's never been out again. And whenever she goes, she takes an umbrella just in case. A blunt umbrella. No, she was out last night with you in the bunker. Unfortunately, actually even saying the word bunker might be quite triggering for a lot of Warriors fans this morning.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Yeah, I heard there was a lot of if he calls from the bunker at the Warriors last night. I mean, if you're not a big league person, And obviously when the ref makes a call or he's unsure it can go to the bunker and they get to watch it in slow-mo. And some calls, the bunker watched 15 times and then all of a sudden on the 15th watch, Dan, they knew exactly what had happened. Brilliant.
Starting point is 00:15:12 When I thought maybe they'd watched it so many times, they might have gone, hey, Ashley Klein, we can't work it out with a slow-mo replay. So let's just go with the decision that you made on the field. But no, on the 15th watch, turns out our player did touch it. All right, chill out. Clint, he's getting all red in the face. To be honest, if I was a ref,
Starting point is 00:15:32 I'd be constantly going to the bunker because I'd be wheezing around the field. I wouldn't be able to see what's going on. Hey, bunker, just not check that one again with you. Guys, I'm going to do you. Nauty 640 coming up next on the edge. Listen live weekdays from sex on Rover and catch up wherever.
Starting point is 00:15:47 This is Clint, Meg and Dan. The Edge. It's time to get naughty at 640. Now, Lucy. I'm going to give you the opportunity to not be in this break, Because Clint is, I think Clint's concocting something behind the scenes that could be quiet. It could put you in a bad light.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Yeah, and I think you should be here because I think Dan's going to struggle and he probably needs the help. He needs a sidekick, all right. Because this is my sort of humour. But I worry we're going to be too self-indulgent and become two giggly little boys. Well, I've found a new misheard song lyric and you think, oh, I've heard them all before. And then I heard this one. Oh my God, I didn't know this one exists. Now I can't remember what John Mellencamp actually does sing in this song.
Starting point is 00:16:26 song. John Mellon. You'll know the song. He says, oh yeah, life goes on. You don't have to be afraid of 11-inch don't-inchedongs. Life goes on, long after the thread of 11-inch dogs. Oh, yeah. It sounds like, it sounds like dogs.
Starting point is 00:16:50 11-inch dogs. Yeah. Well, I feel like I'd be more afraid of an 11-inch dog. Norton dogs. Nauti, yeah. Norti. I mean, that could kill you. Okay, really. And how does the new Mrud song
Starting point is 00:17:04 or compare to some of the best ones? I mean, this was Beyonce where she talks about that if she does pass wind and if she does fart, then please don't touch. I mean... Is she saying, if I farted, please don't touch?
Starting point is 00:17:20 If I bought it, please don't touch. Yeah, in my closet, that's my stuff. If I bought it. That one, I refuse to think that's anything different. I think it's a reach I deny the jizz in my eye
Starting point is 00:17:33 I just don't want to let you see I can't unhear that I can't unhear that That's what I hear Yeah I mean you would try to deny it Wouldn't you I would
Starting point is 00:17:49 Okay It's too early I'd go oh that's not What is that Ladies First with Mariah Carey Who
Starting point is 00:18:02 Legend Yeah, you know this song? No, I can't forget the semen. Oh, for good to say. On your face when you were leaving. And you wouldn't forget that. If someone had that on their face, you wouldn't forget. No, I can't forget the semen.
Starting point is 00:18:20 No, your face is you running that. What is she saying if she's not saying that? It might. It could be salmon. So why would send them be on your face? No, because that salmon. because that's very good for your complexion. Yeah, haven't you seen the Kardashians doing salmon semen facials and stuff? Oh, semen facials, but that's when you inject it, no, until you're like face.
Starting point is 00:18:41 No, no, you thought it was so weird until you went, oh no, you inject that, that's totally fine. I don't think you're injecting the salmon semen. I think you're just rubbing it on. Let's have the blood facials. You take out your own blood, you inject it into your face. Maybe the semen is a simple. And if someone told you that, you wouldn't forget. So maybe that's what Mariah was singing about.
Starting point is 00:18:57 No, I can't forget the seamen or your feet. It's something you wouldn't forget, eh? No, you didn't see it. And literally say it's this evening, I've just realised. Your favourite radio show? In podcast form. Edge breakfast, Clint Meg and Dan. We're going to get into easy money at 7 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Your chance is winning a thousand bucks. I'd love to know what you'd spend it on. Beer's quitting or resigning at a job soon. Oh, now that'd be good. Sorry, I hope your boss knows beer. Yeah. That'd be handy. That's a day's work, a thousand bucks for Clint,
Starting point is 00:19:30 so it wouldn't cover him for very long. Let's go to Izzy Dan through to Wednesday Yeah Izzy good morning Good morning How are you Yeah good
Starting point is 00:19:39 So you've just text through Saying you're off on holiday soon So you'd use the money on some spending Where are you off to? We're going to Europe Going out I'm wanting to get a forget So sort of money for tickets
Starting point is 00:19:48 For accommodation Is this the first time You've been to Europe before? Yeah, it will be Oh yeah nice The big OE What's the reason? Is it just yeah
Starting point is 00:19:58 Because you want to see the world Yeah Getting out there with my friend, because my mate's going. So it's that time to do it. Well, that's an option. Someone else has text through. Let's go to Mark. Because Carl compiles all the phones and puts them through to us.
Starting point is 00:20:12 He'll go like, this one's good to go on here. Yes, make sure that you've got your radio down in the background, and your phone's not crap. And I can see why he's put you through, Mark, because what would you do with the thousand bucks if you won easy money this morning? I mean, it was a joke. I said that I'd give it to Carl, but in all reality, I followed that up with a knot.
Starting point is 00:20:29 hopefully he probably screamed that one, I don't know. He's going to be gutted for that because he was thinking you would. Oh, that's good for you. Keep it for yourself, Mark. Don't give a scent to Carl because you know what? He'll be all right. He's the best great producer in the game. No, he's got a wife who doing twice what he does.
Starting point is 00:20:44 He's got one of those sugar mamas. Yeah, sugar mama. Damn, I wish I have one of those. See you, Mark. See you, bro. Bye. And we'll finish with Shelley because Shelley, if you won easy money this morning, what would you do? Shelly.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Oh, hi. There she is. Yeah. What would you do with the money? Sorry, my cat, he needs to be taken to the vet. He has to get a tooth taken out. What does it cost to get a tooth taken out of a cat? $700.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Oh, my God. And Shally said if she can't afford that, she's going to get the cat put down. Oh, no. So do we give her a chance? He's had like nine lives already this cat. Oh, really? Okay, so it can't afford. She's like, enough is enough.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Damn, 700 bucks to take a cat's stuff. I know. It's expensive, isn't it? Anything to do with pets is expensive because people know you'll pay it. Easy money. $1,000 on the line. Let's play. Easy money. One past seven.
Starting point is 00:21:44 All right, 36 is on the clock. If you can give us 10 answers, starting with the letter O this morning, you win a thousand bucks. You can pass. If we've got time, we'll come back. But you can't give us the same answer twice. And playing this morning from the beautiful Hamilton, Shally. Good morning. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Now, Shally says if she doesn't win the $1,000 today, her cat will die. So we're near... Is that right, Shally? Yes, well, he's already broken his jaw and had to get radiation therapy, so he's had a lot of... Oh, God, what an expensive cat.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Okay, let's see if we can get you $1,000. The letter is O. Are you ready? I am. Okay, the time will start as soon as I ask the first question. Shelly, with O, name for me, a name. Olly.
Starting point is 00:22:27 An animal. An ostrich. A shape. Oblo. Something you eat. A tree. Puffs. A job.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Orphal gontas. Something round. Orb. A celebrity. Orlando Bloom. A flower. Okay. An animated film.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Aultu. Oh, that was question 10. Obviously we would have to go back and pick up the one that you passed. Okay. You had the time I thought. Oh, Shelly. That was as close as it gets, my friend. Very, very close.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I think it was a buzzer-beater right on the last question. For tree, which you passed on, you could have got oak, olive, orchard. There's another option. This type of orchard tree. But well done. So, unfortunately, the cat gets it. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah, I mean, hopefully you'll, I don't know, take out an extension on the mortgage or something, Shally, and you'll find a way. And you know what? I think a lot of vets do payment plans. as well. I did it with my cat. I look into that before you put the cat down. Just know you've got options.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Yeah, okay. Thanks, Shelly. We'll play again at 8 a.m. this morning. Yeah, Lucy, joining us next with our Meg away today. There was something near and dear to Meg's heart that she really wanted to address and talk about on the show today. Is this the same story I'm looking at about this person that was broken up with because they had a very big... Yeah, yeah, that's the one. Yeah, it was too big.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Was it close to her heart, was it? Yeah. This is the Clint Meg and Dan catch-up. Want to hear the guys off air and a little looser? Listen and watch their Overtinkers podcast. Although Meg is always sick today. And on Friday, she said, make sure we put this in the sheet for Monday. And now she's not here.
Starting point is 00:24:14 And so she's passed that story on to Lucy, who's normally doing the night show about helping out and filling in this morning. I hate to say it's a hospital pass. But it is somewhat of a hospital pass to you, Loose. Well, she's going to be sad. She's missing out on this one. So there's a story. It's very wild. It came out yesterday.
Starting point is 00:24:32 A pretty wild divorce story. Haley, Kayle, I think that's how he pronounced her last name. She reportedly ended her marriage to her former NFL player Matt Kail because he had a two, like his, how do I word this? His meat popsicle was too big. Jesus. Yep. And sued her over her public comments about their marriage and sex life.
Starting point is 00:24:55 But now a judge has thrown out the lawsuit and saying that he can't simply bring the same claims again and that she's okay to tell stories about. their relationship. She's gone into court for this. Uh-huh. It's serious. Because it was his parks were too big not compatible. I guess if you're
Starting point is 00:25:10 going around it's not a year and dirty laundry, but I suppose it's personal information about your relationship. So I don't know why 75 grand's going to make it better. I mean, I'd be paying her if she was spreading that rumour. Thank you very much. Well, that's what I thought. I was like, this is a positive but she came out saying some crazy
Starting point is 00:25:27 stuff. Yeah, this is how big she described it in a podcast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Two Coke cans, stacked up. Two Coke cans. I have a prop. Prop one? Oh, she's brought in two coat cans.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Prop two. Put them together. Well, not side by side. That would be wild. Imagine that. That is soul destroying. Yeah. No, so I'm looking at that now.
Starting point is 00:25:50 If you can imagine two coat cans, everybody can. And it's not the thin ones, is it? It's not the small. It's the thick cans. If that was me, and that was my part, I don't think my little heart. would cope and I'd have some sort of stroke. The arteries, too much.
Starting point is 00:26:06 If I was getting into the zone and all the blood went to that area of my body, there would be nothing else in my body. Well, once she found out that her ex wanted to take her to court, this is what she said about it. I am genuinely shocked and incredibly heard upon receiving the news of this filing. Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he's choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal. I guess you just don't go around talking about, I mean, but people do.
Starting point is 00:26:32 right? Yeah, but I thought it would be a good thing and what do you tell your family? You think it would be a good thing? No, no, sorry. It's not, it's not, I mean, I guess that would probably hurt to some extent, but also at the same time, it's not like
Starting point is 00:26:44 she's come out saying how he was an awful human being. No, but like, I remember Pete Davidson because he obviously got talked about how his was rather large. And I remember him being like, everyone thinks, oh yeah, Ariana Grande's done you a massive solid there because now everyone's A good for you, goes, no, because everyone's expectation
Starting point is 00:27:00 is like so high now. So I'm either going to meet the expectation or I'm going to, unfortunately, not live up to the hype. Well, because that song, you had me walking side to side. Arianna Grady, that's about Pete, isn't it? How she was, she couldn't, she was walking with a limbook. Yeah, dangerous stuff. It's an interesting reason to break up with someone.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Yeah, yeah. And I wonder if there's any others out there, 0,800 at the edge, TX333343. Let's take Phyllis size out of it now. We've mentioned that. Not mentioning groin ferrets anymore. Yeah. Groying ferrets. What's a groin ferret.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Clint's Googled different names for those. Give us a couple more. Go on. Beef whistle. Yeah. One more. Floppy drive. There we go.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Boy, what was the reason why you were broken up with? That's an unorthodox thing. You know, maybe you just, the way you ate. Yeah. It wasn't compatible with the other person. Too loud. Like, chew your food.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Like that. No? Sure. Okay. Yeah, we're just talking about a lawsuit that's going on at the moment because some woman is being taken to court because she's been talking about her ex-NFL husband's appendage and how large it is and she compares it to two, maybe even three coat can stacked on top of each other which is diabolical.
Starting point is 00:28:15 If you imagine that, that is, diabolical is the right word, I think. But yeah, she was like, fair enough, she was like it was the cause of many disagreements and things and eventually was the demise of the... marriage. But she's now been taken to court because he said that it's made his life hell because he's famous and now everyone's talking about it, even old little old New Zealand. Now we don't want serious
Starting point is 00:28:40 stories with this. We don't want like, oh, we just weren't compatible and he was spending money behind my back. We want stuff like a little bit trivial. Well, where does this one sit then? Dan and Lucy's filling in for a sick me this morning. My mother dumped a great guy because
Starting point is 00:28:56 he's a Gemini, this is in quotes, and our planet rotations, we're going to be out of sync, she said. Can I have a relationship with that uncertainty? I mean, I don't want to say it, but it sounds like he dodged a bullet. She's probably got a salt lamp. No, she does.
Starting point is 00:29:10 You praise her crystals. Yeah, yeah, I mean, my wife does the same. But I mean, here's the thing. If you're really putting everything in your existence into the planets and stones and stuff, I really do think. I think, you know, there's a time and place for it every now and then, but if it's running your whole life... Yeah, if it's deciding who you cup on.
Starting point is 00:29:30 up with a night. I think that's about too far. Yeah. So when I says, I broke up with him because he kept saying we whenever he was referring to his football team that he didn't play him. No, that's fair. I did the same last night when I said just heartbreaking after obviously the Warriors season's over. I said heartbreaking
Starting point is 00:29:46 after the season we've had. But you've got nothing to do with the team. No, but we're all there. Like we're all riding the season and the highs and lows of it for the last 29 weeks. We've as an NZ, yes, but you personally know. I don't think you've done anything on the field. I'll say that my wife, yeah, we're playing
Starting point is 00:30:02 on Saturday. Isn't we like the Warriors? Which is, I'm not coming to your game. Jenny 6thru saying I broke up with him because he was addicted to fish. I don't, addicted to fishing, sorry. Oh, bro. Says, bro, one of our dates to be fishing trips. I'm allergic to fishing cats.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Oh, yeah. Is it allergic to fish a thing? Yeah, I think so. You can be allergic to anything, but that's kind of an egg. Certain fish, maybe, but not all fish. Isn't this one a bit fair enough? Or am I being mean? Someone's texting saying
Starting point is 00:30:31 My sister's ex broke up with her because she wouldn't make him toast. I just feel like there are times where you need to sacrifice and you do things for your partner out of love. If you can't put bread in a toast and push it down,
Starting point is 00:30:45 then I think the religion might be done. Yeah, but then is it just the tip of the iceberg? He wasn't making toast, wasn't making the bed, wasn't making love. You know, it goes on and on and on. So maybe that was just the tip of the iceberg. My friend did have someone actually and their partner couldn't make.
Starting point is 00:30:59 make coffee and she was just like, no, it's an ick. She's like a coffee lover. So I kind of say it. I don't blame her. If you are nitpick, I reckon it's, if you're nitpicking because of that, then you're the problem, not them. I wonder if Ash is going to chat to us, producer Carl. Are you chatting with her at the moment? Nah, keeps going to answer phone.
Starting point is 00:31:15 So she said that her partner broke up with her because she wouldn't take him lunch when Ash was busy at work and he was like, can you bring me lunch? I'm working. Is that a big deal breaker for you though? I feel like if Hannah didn't bring me lunch,
Starting point is 00:31:30 I'd be like, oh, she's probably busy. I wouldn't break up with her because of it. You're a kind of guy. You're a kind of guy. Oh, I mean, I am. I'm a senior citizen. You're a unicorn, mate. I am.
Starting point is 00:31:40 There are a few like you, Dad. Yeah. Who will just tolerate that. And mine's not the size of two Coke cans. I'll tell you that for enough. We are. The highlights of... One at best.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Dan and the 13 unluckiest people trapped in a bunker. I know the word bunker is quite triggering. for Warriors fans today but we'll find out what happened and what went wrong coming up after 8 o'clock this morning. More like one of those little vitamin C shots. Get your Clint Meg and Dan Fax.
Starting point is 00:32:10 You probably won't have a lot to weigh in on this one. Loose, you know you're over 35 when? No, no, just you guys. Because you only just recently turned 20, didn't you? That is correct. Yeah, you could be my dad, Clint. Oh, hey. Daddy. Dan was throwing that shade of me
Starting point is 00:32:27 and I'm like, mate, you're 38, you could be your dad too. but I'd be a young dad. You know, like I'd be a young, cool dad. You'd be an old father. The only way Dan couldn't be your dad is because he would have had to have got somebody pregnant at 17 and Dan didn't even lose his virginity until he was 26. Oh, alright, mate. 10 years later.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Playing with Lego. Yeah, don't throw stones. Please. Well, I just call the one you threw at me and then just... Okay, you got me. And I'm proud of it. It's okay, we don't judge. I lost it when I wanted.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Yeah. I knew I was well over 35 when on, like this week, I was already planning on booking my osteo appointment. Jesus. After my Saturday football game, because it's our last game of the season. And I felt like I needed a tune up. And I was like, no, I'll have my last game on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Then I'll get tuned up this week. Because then I'll be good to go. And I'm not going to throw anything out of alignment again because my football's out. Throw anything out. This is the sort of thing you've got. You literally preempt osteo appointments going, Wait, I'll probably be quite sore after that, so I'll book in for them. This is the reason why I don't do much physical activity because of this sort of stuff.
Starting point is 00:33:34 I'd rather just be very unfit, but have straight joints. Are you a bit more fragile, though, do you think? I don't think I am. You know what? I do make a noise every time I get up and sit down. It runs like a bit like a... But that's about it. Zoe, you know you're over 35 when?
Starting point is 00:33:48 You know you're over 35 when everything hurts, but like you pointed out, everything requires, like a management plan. Like, your body needs a management plan. Your social life needs a management plan. Everything needs to be written down because you can't remember. Yeah, like if you know you're having a big night on Saturday, you go, well, I'm going to have to really start getting some early nights in the lead up to that. That is true.
Starting point is 00:34:08 And also, if you're planning having a big night this Saturday, you're going to lose an hour because daylight saving hits like Sunday morning. It does, isn't it? Now, is this the one where you get to sleep in or you go now? It's fast. You lose an hour. I hate this daylight saving. Let's just leave it just normal throughout the year.
Starting point is 00:34:24 And Mark, you know your 35 wins. This is very similar to Clint. Yeah, yeah, you can totally relate, Clint. We're off on our second cruise in three weeks. We were in one last year. Where are you cruising to? Bro, we're going through Panama Canal, so L.A. to New York. Oh, my God, my parents have done that one.
Starting point is 00:34:44 God, honestly. Did they like it? Yeah, the Panama. I mean, there's like barely any room either side of the ship. You just go, how are they doing? I mean, absolutely incredible. Mark, I'm going to book you and Clinton at Ryman now. You may as well.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Jesus. Honestly, you can play tennis. You guys would fit out. I might break up for them. I think once you go over 35, you stop playing tennis. You start playing pickleball. Oh, yeah. Hey, look, no complaints here.
Starting point is 00:35:07 It's easier on the joints. Hey, Mark, we'll send you a double pass, bro. When you get back to check out Heart of the Beast, it's going to be in cinemas on Thursday. It's one with Brad Pitt. Sounds good. Yeah, we can. Have the best time.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Make sure you get the drinks package. Oh, bro. It's all sorted. Because there's our go-part on the track, too. Okay, honestly, you guys are about to come best, mate. So I'm going to hang up on up on. Oh, mate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Cruising's great, mate. Just get on board and everything's staying care of. Lucy, if you're still here tomorrow, we'll do, you know your 20 win. So it's a bit more. Actually, that's not bad. Take the edge off your day with Clint Meg and Dan. Klingh Meg and Dan.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Meghaway's sick today. So the boys will soldier on and will try to give away cash without me care. We've got $500 cash to give away. And a Mr. Muscle prize pack. If you confess, you're most outrageous and downright lazy excuse for putting off planning. Yeah. Now, enjoy it on the phone. by Ali
Starting point is 00:35:58 from Forest still morning Ali Oh good morning guys how you going Yeah good Now I've read through Your entry for this Yeah
Starting point is 00:36:05 And I don't want to say The P word But I'm going to You're pathetic Does it feel like We're rewarding Terrible behaviour Yeah
Starting point is 00:36:13 Now explain to me What's happened So I'll paint the picture Someone You're in a flat Someone spilled Bluebird chips On a rug
Starting point is 00:36:21 In June You can pick up The story Okay So we haven't vacuum since. Instead of cleaning it, I just threw a cheap K-Mart rug I've ever top, and now it's a permanent fixture of the flat. Now, did you go out and buy the Kmart rug? Yep, it does. So wouldn't that be more of a strenuous task than just getting out the vacuum
Starting point is 00:36:46 cleaner and vacuuming it up? But I love Kema, and going shopping is like the perfect way to spend some money. Do you have a vacuum cleaner? Yeah, I think we do. You think we do? You don't know. Right. Yeah, I think so. But I just left shopping and it was just easier to just buy a rug.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Make the room look pretty. Throw it over the top. So you'll promise us if you get this $500, you will at least spend some of it on maybe either checking you have got a vacuum cleaner or if you don't, buying one. Yeah, I think that could be arranged. Okay. I think June's been quite some time.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I mean, are you the, you said you're in a flat, so you're not the only one that lives there. How many others could have also tried to find a vacuum cleaner? There's three others that live there. Lazy. Okay. Yeah, and I guess it's a battle of wills, like, who's going to break first? Yeah, like, I'm not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:44 You're like, if they're not doing it, why should I do it? And then nobody does it. You need one of those childish, like, Star-Chart things, who's doing what chore this week on the wall. You know, I kind of want to go over to her flat and do it in vacuum it. I feel like that would be so satisfying. Do you know, Ellie, as well, it's my favourite chore. Of all the chores, I would pick vacuuming as number one.
Starting point is 00:37:59 It's the easiest, it's the instant gratification because you're sucking up all the crumbs. Yeah. I wonder if we should buy a robo vac and then no one has to do it. There you go. That's not bad. True. You know what? I have a robo vac, Ellie, and it is a game changer. It's even fun just watching it go round.
Starting point is 00:38:15 We call it the robot. Yeah. It might be a plan. I could put like some giggly eyes on it, but it's glitz-up. Well, congratulations. You've got five. So jump online and see how much one of them goes for and we'll send you a Mr Muscle prize back as well. So good.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Thank you guys so much. You're so cool. You're very welcome. Hold there. We gave your details and if you're like, hey, what? Is that all? Yeah, just text the word muscle to 3343. We'll send you the link and you can register on Rover.
Starting point is 00:38:40 We give away $500 and a Mr. Muscle prize back every day this week. Yeah, you could be pathetic and lazy like Helly and Stillwood. Yeah. It's as simple as that. Mr. Muscle kills 99.9% of excuses. I fear that Allie falls into that zero point 1%. She's a rare breed.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Yeah. Okay, cool. What of Dan's most favorite things to do on the show is next? We haven't done it in a long time. We talk unique names. And unfortunately, a lot of the times people do troll Dan, so we ask again that you please refrain from doing so. In the past, we've found out that there is a person that exists actually called Seymour Butts.
Starting point is 00:39:17 There's people like Phil McCracken. They're a joke name, but there are a risk. people around the world that have them? My favourite one is Dennis, if you're listening, Dennis Ball. He lives in Farnaray, apparently chuckled me the last time we did this. Listen to your favourite breakfast show whenever you like. Clint Meg and Dan. The Edge, Clint Meg and Dan.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Dan's getting trolled already. Meg's away sick today. And Dan's having a field day. We haven't done this one in a wee while. Unique names. They do exist. And sometimes parents don't shorten the name, work out what it. rhymes with, I remember, even somebody came up to me
Starting point is 00:39:55 and when they found out my daughter's first middle name, they were like, oh my gosh, did you know your daughter's initials, a CPR? And I was like, stop it, Dad. I was like, yeah, that's so fine. It's so down the list of concerns of what your daughter or son's name could be, you know, what was it? Teaser. It was just CPR, that was her initials.
Starting point is 00:40:17 And people were getting all up and arms about. See, that's nothing if you haven't heard of this segment before. Now, there are people that have been trolled. No. Because it's an absolute, you're leaving yourself open for a trolling opportunity. And I've got some clips of like news presenters in America. It always happens when they do birthday shoutouts. And people will try and sneak one past the goalie.
Starting point is 00:40:41 And they did. Craven Moorhead, happy 21st birthday. That's, I need a lay. Happy birthday to my sweet little girl. Anita. And then I don't understand how this one gets read out. This is a Ron Burgundy moment. Obviously they hadn't seen the name first, but she
Starting point is 00:40:58 read this out on TV. Happy 80th birthday to Enorma Stitts. And then this is an old one, and honestly God don't know how this happened, because it was a news channel that was reporting on a plane
Starting point is 00:41:18 crash, and I don't know how you would send in the manifest of pilots or people on board. I've heard this one before and it's got it. This newsreader should have been fired. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:32 They are captain Sum Ting Wong, wee to Lowe, Ho Lee Fook and Bang Dang Owl. Absolute troll fest there and that was a real clip that a newsreader read out on here so Dan be careful because people
Starting point is 00:41:48 I can see the text are genuinely trying to stitch you up. And you know what? It takes away from the real unique names. names that do exist? Because it's hard to know when you're telling the truth.
Starting point is 00:41:57 No, there's a lot of, I think there's genuine, you can't write these. I think there's a, sometimes you just need to read out a name before you name a kid this. So apparently someone had a cooking teacher many years ago
Starting point is 00:42:09 who was Mrs. Ania was her name, which on, you know, reading that, you don't know her first name. You go, oh, that's lovely. Oh, it's going to be Elizabeth. Lazzania. It's not. Imagine that.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Getting into cooking and your name's Lizzie. No, it's not, though. You'd definitely make a Bolognaise, eh? You would definitely stare clear of any lasagna. What about this? Last name, close off. No, never.
Starting point is 00:42:37 First name, Oliver. Oliver Close off. Stop. That's the person. Have you ever met anyone? Close off as a last name. There's names that just don't make sense, Clip. Let's go to Page. Please tell me your last name's Turner.
Starting point is 00:42:54 No, it's not, unfortunately Okay, so you know a unique name What was it? I do, so my sister's name is Amber And she married a guy with the surname Van So her name quickly became Amber Van Which kind of sounds like a cat's van And they often joked
Starting point is 00:43:15 That they would, if they had a daughter They would name her carra van The Caravan Now that is cute Now that's a cute one Actually, now I can see how maybe these names do happen because you're right, the parents wouldn't have given it to you. You end up meeting somebody and then you take their last name and realize that, oh, okay, the universe is having a bit of a laugh. Adams texts through saying he used to know a girl called last name wrecked, first name Dixie.
Starting point is 00:43:41 We're going to stop doing this, Dan, if you can't tell the difference between a real caller like page. Keep him calling through. And a troll like that one. Edge breakfast, Clint McGinn Dan. God help us go in for a double dip on this one. But people are texting in their unique names that they either went to school with, grew up with, or
Starting point is 00:43:59 currently do work with. Again, no trolling allowed. Well, someone said, just text through now, we'll try and get them on, but someone won a prize at their brother's school. And their name was Eric Chin. Right? Yeah, I've heard of a few Eric's going around school like that, actually.
Starting point is 00:44:16 So, yep, not the first. We always get multiple, and these are legit. These are people not trolling. We get... Multiple Mike Hunts, don't we? We do every time we play this game. We go multiple. Courtney from Oamaru, Morning Court.
Starting point is 00:44:31 What's the unique name that you've got? I had Mike Oxmole. Like Mike and then Oxmole. Oxmole. And how do you know Mike? Oh, you know, he was just a mate back from my time that I was. studying and um you're not trolling are you in any way shape or form? No, I used to um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Sounds like a trollie laughing. Yeah, that sounds like I've heard trolls laugh before and that's exactly how they laugh. Yeah. Thanks for your call, Courtney. Here's a couple that have come through on the text machine. There was a guy apparently reporting on the petrol crisis in England called Phil McCann. Yes, I saw that go viral. I remember that.
Starting point is 00:45:18 That was funny. What are the chances? Someone went to school with a girl called Crystal. Lovely name. Not when your middle name's Shandy and he last name's Lear. Crystal Shandy Lear. Okay, now there's just no way. There's a guy called Richard.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Yeah, okay, and we know what that gets shortened to. Richard Seaman. Richard Seaman. You wouldn't. You wouldn't call your kid Richard. You wouldn't do it if your last name was Seaman. Mark, you're in the Wairapa. You had a neighbour whose name was what?
Starting point is 00:45:48 Her name was Anisha. Lovely lady Sadly her last name was his cock No you're joking You're fully serious as much Legit Legit, she's married now Legit 100%
Starting point is 00:45:58 So wait So it was her maiden name Or she married into his cock No no She did marry into it But she married away from it At the same time Yeah right
Starting point is 00:46:08 Okay Yeah Alright Mike Are you supposed to go on your cruise already mate This is sick Three weeks
Starting point is 00:46:15 Three weeks Oh we got two weeks He's like I've got time to fill All right. All right. Thank you, Mark. Appreciate it, mate.
Starting point is 00:46:24 Multiple bendovers listening to the show. Don't read. The last one's coming in. I think we're done. You're definitely getting trolled. That's what I was like, why don't we do this game? And now I remember.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Phil McCafferty. Done. Coming up on the each breakfast. Easy money. Your chance to win a thousand bucks have been give us 10 answers. And 30 seconds, starting with the letter P. So Fonda Cox.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Okay, nah, I'm turning, how do I? Here we go, even might start. 90 seconds away from Easy Money, the boss is looking at a year in big trouble. No. Easy money. Clint. Time. You ready, broken? And Dan.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Oh my God, Easy Money. Here we go. 30 seconds on the clock. Give us 10 answers, starting with the letter P this morning. And a thousand bucks is yours. You can pass if we've got time. We'll come back. But you can't give us the same answer twice.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Caitlin. Morning, Caitlin. Good morning. How are you? Good. How's the beautiful city of blue? Lenham this morning. I bet it's gorgeous. Oh, stunning.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Stunning, as always. Can't be it on a good day. Are you still the Sunshine Capital for this year? Not sure, actually. I hope so. Should be. I look into that. You're always in the top three anyway. Okay, so Caitlin, your letter is P for police, okay? Cool.
Starting point is 00:47:41 Okay, so the timer's going to start as soon as I ask the first question. Caitlin from Blenheim, name for me, a boy's name. Peter. Something you wear. Pajamas An instrument Tiano A computer game
Starting point is 00:47:56 Pac-Man A brand Tadagonia A fruit or veggie Peach A breed of dog A A type of fish
Starting point is 00:48:10 A Pass A hobby A parking A sign Oh Time I fumbled
Starting point is 00:48:24 When we got to dog and you went pedigree And I think your brain went What, that's not a dog And then from there the wheels fell off You know what It was a really solid effort though Caitlin That was really good to start off with
Starting point is 00:48:34 It was just the past in the middle there And then you didn't quite get to the last question Which was a song title What would you say for that? Piano Man Seiko See? So gutting
Starting point is 00:48:45 Not quite there Thank you so much Caitlin No thank you guys Have a good day Thank you I see here the last time Caitlin played It was a year ago. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:54 And she got eight out of ten. Well, there'll be another chance. Two chances tomorrow. Seven and eight a.m. tomorrow. We're getting close again. All right. I'm so torn between whether we even bother talking about this or not. But obviously, it was the biggest thing.
Starting point is 00:49:08 I feel like New Zealand stopped and cheered on the waz, hoping they would make the preliminary final next weekend. Of course, it didn't go that way. I guess, Dan, you don't even know what happened with the game because you're in the bunker. Well, I do now. I haven't stayed away from it. Yeah, and I don't know what went down in the bunker because I was watching the game. I'm almost pleased I was in the bunker now.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Yeah, all right. The Edge is the home of Clint McGinn Dan. Clint McGinn Dan on the Edge. All right, we've got to cover it off, although it is hurtful. To do, uh, when we... Hey, Clint, up, up, up, up, up, up, up. Tried to find 13 of the most unlucky men. It's a Monday.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Try to find 13 of the most unlucky people, Dan of which was the captain of the Jinks Squad. The New Zealand Warriors worried that they would jinx us, and we put them down underground. in a bunker altogether. I mean, it was a fun bunker. We're going to talk about it next, but I'll be honest. I was pleased I was in the bunker.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Well, I felt sorry for you because I was like, he's going to miss this incredible game. And I know you've enjoyed watching the Warriors over the course of this year, Dan. Just every time you would watch them, we would perform poorly. And every time you missed the game,
Starting point is 00:50:12 we'd do well. So we thought, right, let's get you out of any, away from any TV. And it started so well. I remember sending you a message going, it's working. When Lecker scored our first try. He was phenomenal. He was holding like his hamstring at certain times and I thought, oh, he's gone because he was nursing a hamstring injury.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Star of the show player of the day, you reckon? I mean, Lecker, I've heard lots of people talking about how incredible he did play. But when we were down 12-6, Dan, it was Lecker we went to the second time. And unfortunately, that's the way it would stay for those that did miss it because there were some, I'll say, awful calls, especially from the bunker who gets. a chance to watch the replays over and over and over. Because one time I think the bunker watched a play, I swear about 15 or 16 times, which to me, once you watch something more than five times, you're unsure.
Starting point is 00:51:23 That's why you're watching it a sixth, a seventh and an eighth and a ninth. And then all of a sudden, on the 15th watch, they have a decision enough to overturn the referee's decision on the field and go against us. But there was no worse call than the one that happened with about a minute and a half to go. And therefore, that's a penalty of threat. if you want to be fair,
Starting point is 00:51:43 you find a way to put him on a report because that is... That is a penalty in front. That's a penalty. And they've been done it on that one, the Warriors. There is no question. So that's the commentators saying that they were... Those are Aussie commentators, yeah,
Starting point is 00:51:56 saying that it should be a Warriors penalty would have been right in front with a minute and a half to go, would have tied it up at 12 all. It would have gone to overtime. But unfortunately, we never got that opportunity because that's the way it ended up. And the Newcastle night.
Starting point is 00:52:14 weekend. And when you look at the season we've had, the Warriors, I mean, I lump myself in with them saying we, I'm not a part of the team. But, you know, like the season they have had to just for it to end like that is gut-wrenching, isn't it, really. 50,000 Eden Park. Yeah, she was pretty somber walking out of the stadium, producer Brady. Yeah, it's probably like top five saddest moments ever walking out of there, eh? The crowd was just so quiet when the game ended and everyone was just bolting, eh? It's such a bad way to lose it, eh, after the effort from the boys was just, like, outstanding. Producer Brady was saying he was one of the people that threw bottles at the ref as he was walking out. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah, do you see that?
Starting point is 00:52:53 I thought that was terrible. I mean, yeah, it doesn't warrant throwing a... Do you know what I think was worse than that? And I'm going to say it, I was going to keep it to myself. Harrison, from the Ash London show. What's he done? I didn't need your stomping video to drop five minutes after the loss. Now I know what's happened
Starting point is 00:53:15 He's gone and filmed a stomping video In his Warriors jersey outside here in the car park And he's probably thought when the Warriors win I'll upload that because he's a vibe guy And fair enough And he brings the vibe and I would have loved that if we'd won But we lost And so I think he's pivoted and gone with a caption
Starting point is 00:53:30 Going hey forever proud of the boys Up the Wars We're all proud of them mate But I don't need a video of you dancing In the car park When the Warriors have just lost 1210 Minutes later Save it for Wednesday
Starting point is 00:53:43 Thursday maybe or just some things you just don't have to post. The Red Mist is down, and I hate to say you're sounding like a sore loser, Clint, but look, it was a horrible night for the Warriors, but I tell you what, it was a great night in the bunker. They say ignorance is bliss. I was joined by many listeners that have said class themselves as unlucky in some way.
Starting point is 00:54:04 We had a great night in an arcade, and I'm going to recap it next. And I know people are like, oh, Clint, mate, let it go. It's okay to mourn something that is sad. Yeah, it is. And I'm still in mourning, and I don't know how long it will last, but after 29 weeks of watching the Warriors dominate, it was a tough pill to swallow last night.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Get you Clint McGinn, Dan Fex. We were just talking about the wires, and unfortunately the run to the grand final was over, even though we did put 13 of the most unlucky people are in the country in a bunker. And we're talking about mourning, and there are some people saying it's just a game. It's an unhealthy addiction if you have to mourn a game.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I actually feel sorry for those people. that they don't love something enough outside of their own life to be able to mourn a team's loss like that. I think it's good to have a, to be able to kind of be passionate about something and then be very disappointed when it doesn't happen. I've been watching the while since I was 10 years old and it's been 31 years. And I guess I thought this might be the year.
Starting point is 00:55:03 We might get our first grand final. Unfortunately it isn't, we'll go again next year. And so we've gone on a journey over the last few weeks. I, every time I watch a game for whatever reason, the Warriors lose. So I've stopped watching them. In fact, last night I took myself that took the temptation out of it and I went underground at Archie Brothers in Auckland with a whole load of other unlucky people.
Starting point is 00:55:24 And here was some of the people, just a few of the people that came along last night. Every time I watch the Warriors, they lose. Touch some scaffolding on a building site and it all fell over. And finally, the most unlucky person of them all, Stacy. I destroyed Deline. Yeah, I remember her. She said, she was talking to her partner going,
Starting point is 00:55:42 oh my God, Dallon never gets injured and then minutes later he broke his collarbone he played last night 29 days since he broke his collarbone and he was out there playing an NRL game they must have crazy doctors And that's because Stacey was underground and she's going to join us shortly
Starting point is 00:55:57 but there was a whole load of different reasons why people were there and I do love that Dan got them all together and reminded them why that they were there We've been brought here from all over the country to sacrifice for our country We're all unlucky, aren't we? Yeah!
Starting point is 00:56:15 We're all here to get the Warriors to win, aren't we? Yeah! Team! On three! One, two, three, team! Coolest I've ever felt. I felt like I was the captain of some sort of team, even though the only sport we're playing is temp and bowling.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Yeah, the punters, it was good to see them sacrificing themselves yesterday, not that it made any difference. It's been pretty good here and there, winning a few, lost a few. Yeah. It's been a bit chaotic, but yeah, hopefully us staying here gives the, I know, the Waz a chance. And then Jono was there. I think considering, you know, with everything coming in mind, my luck's coming around, which is pretty good. But it's good to not be a jinx for the Waz.
Starting point is 00:56:56 And after a grueling three plus hours underground, our team finally heard from Clint via FaceTime of the result that we'd been missing. Okay, we're going to call Clint to see if we can find out the score. This is last 12.10. Yes, that means we're not drinks, is. Yeah. Yeah, that was true. And Dan, I appreciate the sacrifice.
Starting point is 00:57:21 It didn't help in the end, but, I mean, you did what you could. Yeah. And then I love how you guys thought I was doing that psych out thing, like pretending we lost it, and then be like, no, and I was just like, no, mate, I was too depressed for that. To be honest, the thought didn't even cross my mind that we'd lose. I was 100% sure we'd win, and Stacey joins us, who was in the bunker with us last night. Morning, Stace? Morning, team?
Starting point is 00:57:41 I guess I feel like it's a good result for us, because it means we're. We're not jigs of the Warriors, and next season it is going to be our year, and we can watch every game. Yeah, yeah, and you don't have to feel guilty. Yeah. Absolutely. I was extremely stoked to be in the bunker last night. I had a cool shirt, good food, good company. Yeah, and the negativity online with the wars was actually really depressing.
Starting point is 00:58:05 So, yeah, I was stoked to be in the bunker with you guys. Yeah, so it was great to have you. I know you've been to a lot of edge events before, and we love you for it. So thanks for joining us. Yeah, thanks, thanks. No worries. It was fun. You know what? And if you are hurting this morning, New Zealand, isn't it great to love something that much
Starting point is 00:58:22 that when it doesn't go the way that you want, it can also hurt this much? Because if you don't love that hard, then it would never hurt this hard. Inspiring words, please. So next year, we go again. We've recruited some great players, and next year could just be our year.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Should we do it one more time? This trumps the Warriors this morning. Bird of the year. It's been announced. Yeah, voting is closed. We have our winner, and I've got a fun idea for our Dan. Shout out to Archie Brothers as well, a new market. W credit during school holidays as well, if you do want to get around them.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Appreciate you guys hosting the bunker. Clint McGinn Dan. Edge Breakfast. The Edge. Clint Megan Dan. MegaWay sick today. Edge Breakfast brought to you by Trade Me Property. You can play Hunt for the Hyundai on Trade Me Property and Bint to win $100,000 T's and C's
Starting point is 00:59:18 supply. Might have lost last night, but a New Zealand citizen has won our hearts. The Black Robin has won. Bird of the Year, 2026, just announced. Yeah, we found out how the voting works earlier this morning when we had a few edge listeners say that you get to vote for five birds. You don't get to rank them, but you just put forward your best five. Yeah. And then obviously the ones that accumulate the most votes over the course of however many weeks they keep voting open for.
Starting point is 00:59:44 Yeah. Wins. So 98,000 votes. casted this year for bird of the year. I want to know why. If you voted for bird of the year, like I mean, once we have a winner, what happens? Like, does the government put
Starting point is 00:59:59 aside a certain amount of money to help the conservation of that bird? I think it just more helps knowledge about the bird. And in turn, I think it maybe has more donations to forest, I don't know. But I think it just gets people talking about the black robin. Sounds like you're making it up. I am making it up. Okay, right. Because I don't know. But I will say
Starting point is 01:00:15 that the black robin came first. The carcapo came second, leaving the Karairair in third place, and fourth and fifth place, respectively, went to the Kia, which is a menace, in my opinion, and the Taka Hay. Beautiful bird, though, especially when they get their wings up and they fly away and have that beautiful orange underneath.
Starting point is 01:00:32 Yeah. Yeah. So, I think a good result for the... Well, I did know three days out that the black robin, which I didn't really think was actually even going to make the top ten. You don't really hear too much about it. What's your beef with the black robin? Because all you've been doing...
Starting point is 01:00:48 is beefing on it? Is it big? Is it small? It looks small but obviously in scale to the others they're all the same size picture. So I'm unsure if it's a small bird or large bird. Anyway, I guess we'll learn more about it.
Starting point is 01:00:59 Michael Jackson thought it was good enough to sing a song about it. Yes, and this is my Dan. I was very excited when the Robin won because I thought it could be a great opportunity for either maybe tomorrow, Wednesday. See how long you need to bring this back. Hit it!
Starting point is 01:01:12 Hit it, get it's buggy. I wonder why you want to be to talk about the bird of the year? Yeah. I mean, Graham's text through saying, Boomer Chat, Dan sitting up for News Talk Z-B. Mate, I would leave here at a heartbeat of ZB was wanting me. He's ZB money.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Jesus Christ, they paid good money. Have you seen what Hosking's on? He drives an Aston Martin. Yeah, hit me up. Yeah. I'll go over there and talk about David Seba all day for that kind of coin. And you can already talk like him, so you've been practicing all your life. Use Talk ZB.
Starting point is 01:01:40 It's my Kosking breakfast. It's 27 past 8. See, he's already been practicing, man. Actually, 27 past 8. I usually just go as 827 this morning But it literally is 27 past 8 Yeah I don't know why you always pick that time But yeah that's
Starting point is 01:01:54 It's meant to be Sickled me Okay so Dan I think you should learn The first part of Rock and Robin In celebration of the Black Robin Winning New Zealand Bird of the Year So it'd be this part here right This is your lead in
Starting point is 01:02:11 This is sorry how much of it's wrong We're coming here Rock and Robin So I just do the dilly dilly bits. No, there's you now. Okay, solo tomorrow. Right? And I bring it back on the tweet.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Okay. I mean, it's definitely not the biggest bang we've done. But if you want me to do it, I'll do it. Yeah, well, I celebrate every 100,000 people get enough to vote for the bloody black robin. So this would be you, this part, right? This is the part you need to learn. Very first part of first. So you only give me 24 hours to learn rock and rob.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Yeah. And then we go Yeah Okay 24 hours, mate To celebrate the Black Robin Winning Bird of the year in New Zealand I mean I can see
Starting point is 01:03:03 The synergy is seamless Yeah Yeah Well if you ever better Hit the spot suggestion I'm all he is Absolutely not Clinton It's news talk ZB
Starting point is 01:03:12 28 past 8 Coming up on the Edge Breakfast All right Be that coincidence One of our favourites If you've got a great coincidence Then you need to get in touch with us nice and early
Starting point is 01:03:21 3343 Oh 800 The Edge The coincidence that we're kicking it off with this week, on face value, I would say it's a little bit boring. But there has been so many occasions where this is hit for this certain story that I would go something as at play here. Okay. There is definitely the coincidence gods are looking down on the story with favour.
Starting point is 01:03:42 So if next you're listening and you go, this seems a little bit boring, stay with it according to Dan because it gets better. And sometimes news talks it would be is boring. That's just the way it is. Politics next. The edge. Listen live weekdays from Sex on Rover and catch up wherever. This is Clint, Meg and Dan.
Starting point is 01:03:58 The Edge. What's it in? All right, Dan's got a crazy one, but like you're right, Dan, it's not all that sexy. Well, here's the thing. It's a coincidence that's made it into the Guinness Book of Records. So it has to be good. Yeah. But it's just to do with dates.
Starting point is 01:04:17 So there's an Iowa family that's being recognized by the Guinness World Records for five generations of the same family sharing the same. sharing the same birthday. So it's a man by the name of Fred Harlow. He's entered it into the Guinness Book of Records. So it's him, his grandfather Wilbur, his mother, Addy, his daughter, Emma, and his grandson, Arthur,
Starting point is 01:04:40 are all born on the same day. Okay, so obviously the first person can be born any day of the year. So you have to calculate the probability of the next four generations having the same date. And that's obviously a one in 365. Okay. So you do that four times. and Google's done the maths for me.
Starting point is 01:04:57 It's a one in 17.7 billion. Yeah. So super, super, super unlikely and a very crazy coincidence. So it's the 14th of September is the day. When you work that back nine months, where does that sit? You do the math. You go to math. Christmas.
Starting point is 01:05:11 So they're all doing that thing. I don't want to say. Yeah, it's Christmas summer holidays for us, I suppose. They're all doing that at the same time. All the family, which is weird in itself. Yeah, it must be just a very fertile family. Mm. So, and you see what I mean by its kind of, it's incredible,
Starting point is 01:05:32 because the chances of that happening, five generations of the same family being born on the same day, is very unlikely. But it's just not sexy. Yeah. Well, here, okay, what do you think of this one? My mate took his two boys to go watch the waz at Eden Park, which was a sellout, 50,000 people.
Starting point is 01:05:50 And another mate of ours, in our friends group said that he was going as well. They bought tickets on different days. Didn't know... He knew each other were going but obviously hadn't liaise with one another. They were sitting right next to each other
Starting point is 01:06:07 in the stadium. They sent us a photo going, what are the chances? We're sitting right next to each other. That is more on the right direction. I like that more. I feel like it just has a little bit more relatability to it.
Starting point is 01:06:18 50,000 people, two of my closest mates end up sitting right next to each other and didn't arrange it. Yeah. I like that. I mean, the chances of that happening when there's, what, 48,000 people in a stadium are very low. I'll try and work out the chances of that happening.
Starting point is 01:06:34 All right, if you've got a coincidence that you think might rival those, then give us a quote O-800 there, you can fire us a text on 3-343. O'Raki salmon. We've got O'Raki King Salmon to give away. I was going to say I need a carrot to dangle, but a salmon's okay, I guess. Yeah, yeah. Salmon's even better. Three hot-smoked portions.
Starting point is 01:06:50 I already prefer to bag of carrots. Yep. It's all good. And they come in original artisan, Poirukawa and barbecue. Salmon spread, smoky, zesty and zingy. Premium chili bag, we'll send it out to you. How good is salmon, eh? Just rip it out of the bag, eat it.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Alaraki King's salmon, swim daily to, and pure glacial waters, creating exceptionally lean, clean tasting fish. It's like grain fig beef. Your favorite radio show? And podcast for. Edge breakfast, Clint Meg and Dan. Today
Starting point is 01:07:20 I felt like taking a sick day too When the Wires lost I wonder how many people have done that Taking a mental health day Anyway speaking of the Wires Two very close friends of mine Decided to book tickets to go to the Warriors And they sold out 50,000 crowd
Starting point is 01:07:37 Venue at Eden Park They booked them separately I imagine Obviously when they went on sale Turns out in a stadium of 50,000 people They were seated next to each other And sent a photo to the group chat That is an incredible coincidence
Starting point is 01:07:50 I mean the chances of that happening one in like 48,000, I'm guessing. So fairly low. We've got some people on the phones that think they can beat that coincidence. Let's go to Kylie from Christchurch. Morning, Kylie. It's the red zip jersey. Yeah. The red zip jersey.
Starting point is 01:08:08 Coincidence you're talking to you, this. Oh gosh, I didn't even hear you guys. Sorry, I'm doing the school round. I understand, baby, it's a busy time around this. Hey, shouldn't they already be in school 830? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I'm just dropping my daughter off at the game.
Starting point is 01:08:20 Make sure she's got a note for being late. Okay, Kylie. What was the coincidence for you? Well, it actually involves you guys. Okay. Not specifically your show, but the Edge Station. It was a few years ago now, and you run a competition about giving your opinion on the show.
Starting point is 01:08:40 All right, okay. So how you could, like, do better or stuff like that. Oh, that doesn't sound like us. We don't like constructive feedback. Yeah, okay. No, I'm pretty sure it was the afternoon show. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:08:52 And anyway, so I sent the text through to enter the competition. And later that afternoon, I was at a community thing in the city in Christchurch, standing in line, chatting with a couple of blokes about work. And they were telling me what they do and stuff like that. And I was like, you know what, I'm a pivot. I want to get paid for my opinion. And they were like, oh, okay, one of them was like, you know, that's cool. This guy looked at me like I was nuts.
Starting point is 01:09:19 And I said, nope, people are going to pay. pay me for my opinion. That's how I'm going to get rich. And he was like, whatever. And then literally 10 seconds later, the Edge called me, and I put it on speakerphone. And they said, hi, Kylie, we'd like to pay you $250 for your opinion. Brilliant.
Starting point is 01:09:36 That is pretty good. That is pretty good. What was your opinion on? On the show, just how what I thought about it, how I have. It sucks. Yeah, I mean, it was a few years ago. And the guy looked at me like I was a witch and he ran away. Wow, that's so good guy.
Starting point is 01:09:55 And then Fletch and Vaughn were fired and went to Zedem. So there we go. Let's go to Kristen from Christchurch, Morning Kristen. So this is about your niece. Yeah, or multiple of them. Okay. What's happened? So it started in 2019.
Starting point is 01:10:12 I had a niece born on the 7th of April. She was actually due in mid-May. And then in 2021, I had. had a nephew who was due in mid-May, and he was also born the 7th of April. Okay. And then in 2023, there was another child, nephew, who was due born on mid-May, and he was also born in the 7th of April. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:38 So this is, so three different kids in the same family born on the same day, essentially? Yes. And then, unfortunately, the first child, she had a sibling who was due on the 7th of April. and she was born on the 28th of April, so she broke her. What an annoying. Well, that's a 133,000 chance. What are they doing? Are they just, what is the time where they're consummating that?
Starting point is 01:11:02 Like, is it a special date? Is the reason why they're all being born on the same day? Or there's lots of laps over with the birthdays. Like we've got a birthday on the 7th of December, 8th of December, the 11th of December. Yeah, they're just doing like anniversary. Yeah. You know, I'm probably the school run, so I'll censor myself. We've got Sammy on who said me and my granddad had our appendix taken out on the same day.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Now, this could be an incredible coincidence if you didn't know Granddad was getting it done and you were waiting to recover in hospital and then he got wheeled in. You're like, what are you doing here? Sam, tell me it's the latter. Hey. So I ended up going to hospital, oh, this was like back when I was 15, so 25 years ago. and going in there for pains and, you know, they're like,
Starting point is 01:11:52 basically do the assessment, we're going to take your appendix out. There and then. And they go, hey, are you related to a John Prince? And I was like, yeah, that's my granddad. And they're like, well, he's here as well and he's getting his appendix out. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:12:06 So you didn't know that was happening to him? No idea. No idea. And then, yeah. And then it was quite cool because, you know, we had lots of people visiting us. Yeah. Same day, same procedure, same surgery.
Starting point is 01:12:23 I mean, we can't work out the chances mathematically for that, but I can't imagine they're very high. And let's finish on this text that's come through, Clinton. If you can have some nice music, because this is pretty incredible. When I was seven, I lost my beloved soft toy Moussey in a mall in Christchurch. You see where this is going, eh? I'm 21 now, and last year I went to a garage sale and found that the exact, what I thought was a replica of Mousie.
Starting point is 01:12:48 I turned it upside down and written and vivid on its foot was Mousie. It was my same toy that someone had found and was selling at a garage sale. Now the... That is incredible. They haven't just taken the storyline from Toy Story, you know, and, you know, when...
Starting point is 01:13:12 Don't tell me we're getting trolled. You know, when they find Woody and the guy takes him, because he wants to finish his collection with Jesse and Roundup Pete, whatever his name is. And it's got Andy written. Have they just, have they just,
Starting point is 01:13:23 no, you're not winning free salmon for just taking the storyline of a popular team, I mean movie and changing it. If Mousie's fake, no salmon for you. You can get carrots. Yeah, if you want it,
Starting point is 01:13:36 you've got to call us and you've got a front-up, you can't just send in a trolling text and hoping damn will read it out. I'm sick of getting trolled. People were saying that there was a man called Bendover earlier this morning. That was a troll as well. First.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Hey, yeah, next on the show, we'll tell you how you can get to Harry Stiles. Flights to Sydney, accommodation, and a double pass. It's a little bit of, I wouldn't say it's heavy lifting. It's like light to medium lifting, I think. But if you've got a bad back, don't bother. Yeah, and always with the knees. This is the Clint Meg and Dan catch up. Want to hear the guys off here and a little looser?
Starting point is 01:14:11 Listen and watch their Overtinkers podcast. Clark, Clint Megan Dan. Megaway, we got Lucy from the Night Show. Hello. Hanging out with us. And we need to learn how you can see Harry Stiles, live in Sydney, flights, accommodation and a double pass. Because he's probably one of the few people
Starting point is 01:14:26 that aren't actually making the trip across the ditch because it feels like everybody's coming here at the moment. Yeah, it is probably the biggest tour on at the moment worldwide. I don't think that Sharon's one's going to trumpet. And I tell you what, he loves reading out a sign when he's on stage. I'll go through some of the ones. ones that he's pointed out in the past because what we're asking you to do is make your best Harry Style sign, submit a photo and enter it on Rover so you can be as creative, fun and
Starting point is 01:14:56 as quickie as you would like. And the best sign will win the ultimate besty-besty trip. You and your best mate are a trip to Sydney accommodation and double past to see Harry Style. The only caveat is you have to take said sign to the concert. Oh damn, it'd be good. Yeah. Okay, so you wanted to stand out, but for the right reasons and here are some of the ones have in the past. Yes, I just found out my cat has cancer. Okay, one was sort of laughing, I don't know if they heard,
Starting point is 01:15:21 I just found out my cat has cancer. Oh, Jesus, now that would get your attention. Yeah, I was laughing, but it's not funny. Then there was this one that caught Harry's attention. Went to my granddad's funeral today. What? Went to my granddad's funeral today. So they did that and then backed it up
Starting point is 01:15:38 with the Harry Stiles concert, maybe to celebrate old granddad's life. I mean, if you've made it right to the end and you're in your 90s, whatever, you've clocked life, you did it. Exactly. I know our listeners, the beautiful listeners of this radio show. They're more creative than those.
Starting point is 01:15:49 Okay. Got drunk, bought me this ticket. Great. Fantastic. Admitting it was a drunk purchase. I thought he said something completely different. That's a good purchase, though, to make. You could do something way worse with your money on a night out.
Starting point is 01:16:03 Somebody must have left the country to go and see Harry Stiles, but they didn't ask their parents for permission. My parents don't know I left the country. Wow. You're getting grounded. Yeah. surely they're old enough to not get grounded if they're... Yeah, no, wait.
Starting point is 01:16:17 Old up the white. Yeah. But yeah, I think we can be more creative. Think stuff that if you were Harry Styles on stage, you're performing to thousands of people in Sydney. What's going to prick up your attention? Also, you can't just come up with a fun slogan. You've actually got to make the sign
Starting point is 01:16:34 because then you need to take a photo of it and submit it on Rover to enter. So it is probably a few hoops too many for a lot of people, but if it's not for you, the chance of you, once you're in the drawer, winning would be extremely high, I would have thought. I think there'll be a lot of people that missed out on tickets to Harry Stiles that wanted to go.
Starting point is 01:16:51 And don't forget, this isn't just tickets, right? It's flights and accommodation. It's the whole experience. It's going to be lovely. Haley's not what I pictured I would be doing at 9am on a Monday, but I'm onto it. Oh, okay. That's what we need, that sort of attitude.
Starting point is 01:17:05 And it's all about, like Clitsy's presentation as well. Presentation is key. You know, not just the wording. If you do on the link, you can just text Harry. to three, three, three, four, three, we'll bounce it back to you, make it nice and easy for you. And then, uh, yeah, start making those signs. All right, back in three minutes with our throwback three, Sam, on the edge. Want to hear more of Clint, Meg and Dan, but completely unfiltered.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Catch the Overthinkers audio and video pod every single day on the Rover app. All wherever you get your pots. Overthinkers.
