Starting point is 00:01:32 Thanks, guys. It looks like it's a full class today, which is really exciting. And what are they learning? This morning, let's have a look to see what you will learn. Oh, you'll learn when New Zealand's best sausages. Dan's very excited about it. Yeah, you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:45 There's been a list released of the best sausages around New Zealand. One of them in particular, I want to get now. Also, I want to talk safe words before 7 o'clock. My kids learned about them this week. They're too young for safe words, Clem. Much too young. Didn't they just learn about it? What did your wife?
Starting point is 00:02:00 teach them last week in Scrabble or something? No, that needs way more context than me just saying that word out now. Hi, Kelly, hi Irish, Steve, Imogen, Taylor or Presid Tanya. Well, that's cool. Appreciate it, teams, the Edge. The Edge is the home of Clint McGendam. The Edge. Time for a little coffee catch-up, see what each other got up to since we last caught up yesterday. Oh, one.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Myself and producer Brady went to the Street Fighter movie premiere, which is out today, actually. But I can't tell you what I thought of it, because. is the embargo doesn't get lifted until tomorrow. Oh, and what's an embargo again? That's where you're not allowed to talk about it. It's like Fight Club. That should have been under an embargo, shouldn't it? Yeah, I'm not allowed to review it.
Starting point is 00:02:42 So even though I went, and I could tell you right now, because it is out today, I'm legally not allowed because I signed it. But we're not allowed. You can't say if it's good or bad. No, I can't. But behind the scenes, you would love it. No, you're not allowed to say. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:56 But they had gongcha there, you know, like the bubble tea. the light she whatever it was slaps I don't know that was under an embargo Clint No I'm not I got I didn't so anything about gongcha Oh yeah it's a gongcha That was like
Starting point is 00:03:09 They had that and they had sals You would enjoy that me Oh sales is my favourite pizza And Clint recently Discovered bubble tea Because I remember you got a possesses for a while Yes Yes
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah I was just smashed Like I was putting like the popping pills in And the little honey alloy You got really good And then I realised how many calories What of those things can have in it I don't know if I like bubble tea That's the one was the one was
Starting point is 00:03:29 It's like floaties in it, eh? Yeah, floaties. You suck them up the straw and then you burst them in your mouth. He was a two-year-old. He drinks like, sometimes I'll give him like a bubbly water to drink. Like, what do you call it? Sparkling water. He loves it.
Starting point is 00:03:41 But then if you have a sip of his after he's been having his dinner. Floodies. Yeah, it's got floaties in. It's like drinking a bubble tea. It's disgusting. Takes me back. Took my son to go see it and he was trying to get me to explain what Shreikfather was. It's like a fortnight, except when your dad was a kid.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Just mash the buttons. Yeah, yeah. Well, yeah. Oh, you did. You just matched the button, yeah, yeah. Quarter to turn twice. Oh, you're good. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:04:03 It's like Tekken. I used to play Tekken, which is like the PlayStation version, and you get Eddie Gordo, anybody that remembers that, and you just press Circle and X, and man, you could just honestly own anybody with Circle and X. And also, I went to East Day spa yesterday. Two hours I spent in the chair. Massage and facial for two hours. Two hours.
Starting point is 00:04:24 And I didn't tell my wife. What the hell? You didn't tell your wife? Divorce. Divorce. It was in the calendar. So it's in the calendar. Clint Massage,
Starting point is 00:04:31 because East Day Spa reached out. Thank you guys very much. It was lovely. And my wife goes when I got home, what did you get up to today? And then one of the kids was talking and telling me about that day. I was like, hold on.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I'm just, I'm listening to the story. And then she never asked me again. So I looked at you this morning, I thought you looked more relaxed. So that's our future though, Dan, because, you know, when I go home, it's like my second job of like, right, we're on the baby now.
Starting point is 00:04:55 And you're just like going home and having two-hour spas. Yeah, do like three, and I pick up the kids and they deal with it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. A two-hour spa would cost a fortune. Like, I had a, I had like a 45-minute massage the other day, and that was like a hundred-something bucks. Clint, did you pay for it? Are you getting extras?
Starting point is 00:05:13 What? No. Oh, you spend a little time worrying and thinking about it. I know what you're trying to say. Am I getting the ending bit? No, I'm not. It was a very much above-bored massage. Yeah, good.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I didn't even ask. Just an average ending. Just an average ending. Just a very average ending. I was a little bit disappointed to get you Clint McGinn and Dan Fax First call of the day First goal of the day
Starting point is 00:05:37 And sorry Meg your local money experts For personal and business finance All right So Paris that has a story about weddings Hi Paris Morning Morning Paris Before we get into your story
Starting point is 00:05:48 A bit of information about Paris She works for internal affairs She drives a BMW Must be good paid internal affairs And she's a Pisces morning Are you allowed to talk much about what you do or is it very much hush-hush? It's to an extent.
Starting point is 00:06:04 I've spoken to Paris before, I'm sure, about her internal affairs. Not eternal affairs. She's not cheating on her partner. Internally. Internly. Okay, what happened at your wedding? So I actually attended my partner's cousin's wedding early this year, and I was part of the party,
Starting point is 00:06:23 and the DJ actually almost stuffed up the whole ceremony timings in the music. Oh no. Was he not at the rehearsal? Yeah. So he was. Okay. But what happened was we
Starting point is 00:06:38 he put the boys' music on way too early. So by the time we actually got to the end of the aisle, we just had to walk. So there was almost like no bride at the end of the aisle because he stuffed up in music. Oh, that's so annoying because that is one of the most like kind of moments that you need music to work.
Starting point is 00:06:54 And you time it perfectly. like you're out on these lyrics, you're out on these lyrics. So the crescendo happens just as the bride's been handed over. I'll be gutted. I'll almost be like, do over. Start again. And the worst thing was there was a wedding planner as well. So she was like so mad because she said to wait and she just like had to run.
Starting point is 00:07:16 You know, to make you feel better, Paris, or the person that's wedding this was, I once did the music for a wedding years ago for a friend of mine. They had a Ui boom. That's all they had for the music was an outdoor wedding. and yeah, I had to play it off a phone as I saw the bride pulling up and I had to press play but I couldn't hear it
Starting point is 00:07:33 press play and nothing was coming through and I was stressing so I like turned up the phone as she walked into the thing You didn't know you couldn't hear the music You know how when you turn up a Ui boom when you get to full volume
Starting point is 00:07:46 it goes and so as she walked into the room the music started playing and I was pulling it up and so it all through this like ceremony was me going do do do you Never lived it down.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah. No more D.J. Well, that has won you 100 bucks, Paris. Oh, thank you so much. That's honestly going to help so much this week. Yay. Oh, good. Oh, good. That's something, then. You know, worth it, maybe. Maybe not. I'd still probably rather my moment. Maybe internal affairs doesn't pay well.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Yeah. Cool name too, eh, Paris? Yeah, it's a cool name. Yeah. I think sometimes you get given a really cool name and there's a lot of expectation to you live up to it. Like, I play football the guy called Legend. It was okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Yeah, that is tough. But maybe he's doing legendary stuff now, I don't know. You know what, Legend does make you seem like a really cool person. Yeah, birth certificate name too, by the way. Yeah. Yeah, tough to get angry at Legend. Yeah. Send them up to fail, though, aren't they? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:40 All right, let's find out what happened overnight. Coming up in scandal headlines. Who's got their own Barbie doll made of them? Would Paul McCartney want to have written something by somebody today? And Tate McCraise, release the teaser of her song. We'll hear it next. a scandal. Celine Dion has her own Barbie doll
Starting point is 00:08:59 if you want to see it. You can text the word Barbie to 3343. She's wearing the heart of the ocean necklace from the Titanic. What does Paul McCartney from the Beatles think of today's songs and artists? Is there any music right now that you listen to and you think, I wish I wrote that?
Starting point is 00:09:14 Um, no. Not really. There are some people I think are really good. Billy Irish, I think is cool. I don't think I want to have written her songs. Yeah, he said the only song that he thought he would have liked to have written was Billy Joel's, uh, And I love you just the way you are.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Oh, yeah, just the way you are, yeah. Nothing like that's been out in the last few years. I sort of get his answer. People are sort of ripping the crap out of him for being like, like, you know, like new music. But I'm like, he wouldn't have written Ocean Eyes by Billy Elish, would he? No, exactly. And he said, I'm married a lot. A lot of the songs of breakup songs.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Like he's, I think, yeah. Also, he was in the Beatles. Yeah, he wrote a lot of them. Of course. And what is Housewife going to sound like by Tate McCray? Is that looped? Yeah. It sounds like the hum and the background changes.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Yeah, okay. Yeah. True. Sounds like a skipping CD. Yeah. That's what we're going to get tomorrow. For 25 years, Sorted, has been having New Zealanders make smarter money choices. The Edge just hits.
Starting point is 00:10:33 In Auckland. The edge. If you like Clint and you love a bit of sausage, there has been the list released of the best sausages in New Zealand. Gourmet Editions. If you want a really tasty sausage this weekend, I'll tell you where to get it. Clint Meg and Dan. Edge Breakfast. The Edge.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Hey, we have a few must-haves to give away this week, and one is an epic nerds gummy cluster prize pack. So if you want to try something crunchy, gummy and spooky, coming this Halloween, and give a call. And we'll sort you out. A taco-flavored sausage has taken out the prize for New Zealand's best banger of the year at the sausage awards this year. If you want to buy the I think it's Borilla Taco Snag. You can get it from Mapati Meets. How does it make it a taco-flavored? Because taco's got shell, lettuce.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah. I guess, yeah. Well, I guess it's like how they made burger sauce tastes like burgers. No, that's just sauce that goes inside a very first. famous burger. That's why it's called burger sauce. Yeah, but you know how like when you eat it, when you put it on something, it tastes kind of like a cheeseburger? Like pickles and cheeseburger? No, it's the Big Mac sauce. That's why it's called Burger Sauce, because they
Starting point is 00:11:44 couldn't say that because they would be sued. It's Big Mac sauce. That's what it is. Burger sauce is Big Mac sauce. Well, I'd say Big Mac sauce. Was first. Do you think so? Yes, 100. That was a special source. I'd be interested to know. I wonder whether Big Mac sources came second and there was always a sauce. No, I thought they did Big Mac. It's Big Mac and everyone loved that.
Starting point is 00:12:05 that sauce, so that's why everyone they said, oh, this is the burger sauce. Surely, surely. Someone will know, text through 3, 3, 4. The thing is, when you do have an outrageous flavoured sausage, I always want to try it to see if they've nailed it. If they does say, Tarko. Yeah, so they've done well there, at least the curiosity fact that gets you. I must say, I love. For the bisexuals, a taco sausage.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Yeah. Yeah, something in it for everyone there. I will say, though, oh, I love a good sausage. Like, if you get a really good award-winning sausage, man, you can't beat it really. Wait, Dan was telling me about a place that you can get some pretty good sausages. And it's like well-hung meat. Was that just an immature dude who was really good at... Well, they won a couple of the awards this time. Well-hung meat in Milford, Auckland.
Starting point is 00:12:44 They won the gourmet beef. That can't be their real name. Which features me, you'll love this. Even though you're not a meat eater, but I'd imagine this sounds like a bit of you. Blue cheese and Pear. I have blue cheese and I have sausage, but thanks for that. I hate blue cheese. It smells like bomin.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Delicious. And as some of the other categories, if you want the best beef, sausage in New Zealand, absolute meats in Tomaranoi. They took it out for the best beef. The best black pudding was Cooper's Beach Butchery and Cooper's Beach. Flavors of the world was a tie between the Moroccan
Starting point is 00:13:19 lamb and raisin sausage from Warrapa and the Burilla Taco, which took out the best one from Pardie Meets in Auckland. I was just talking to Carl was it, was it calf the guy that did the wag sausage, the waes sausage? Oh yeah, that we got only dropped off some
Starting point is 00:13:35 Was sausages. Yeah, it was carve butchery in Milford as well. A lot of good butchers in Milford. Yeah, my husband liked his carbunera sausage. Oh, that was lovely. So overall winner is the taco. Yeah, and if you want a good pre-cooked sausage, maybe you're having a sausage
Starting point is 00:13:49 to outside bunnings this weekend. The KFM chili cheese griller sausage from Kiwi meats and Tohonga do the best pre-cooked. Speaking of, diagonal across the bread or just straight down the middle? Straight down the middle, baby. Even sausage-to-bread ratio the whole way.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I don't understand why you put on the angle. As soon as they do that, always spin it around. Then all my onion's going to fall out the ends because there's not enough of a wall when you do it on the angle. Yeah, I think when you do it down diagonally, you have a little bit more bread at the end. And I think people that like the bread to sausage ratio, maybe go diagonal. But the problem is diagonal.
Starting point is 00:14:19 It's like, little bit of bread, little bit of bread. Too much. You're in the middle, and the sausage is too much bread. Yeah. I think the key is a good bit of sauce, good bit of mustard. You can't go wrong with a good sausage. Declan says, his missus says he's got the best sausage. New Zealand.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's sausage to 3-3-4-3, if you'd like to see that list of what Dan just read out. I don't see your one on there, Decliffe. No, no. Maybe enter next year. Breakfast hits harder with Clint McGahn. All right, I've got a little naughty 640. I'm next. We talk safe words, if you've got one, how you came about choosing yours.
Starting point is 00:14:51 And I think you can have safe words for many different occasions. I was going to say, I've never needed a safe word, if I'm honest. Oh, good for you. I think Declan's Mrs. Mightnigwin, though. See it's Listen live weekdays from sex on Rover And catch up wherever This is Clint Meg and Dan
Starting point is 00:15:08 The Edge It's time to get naughty at 640 Okay We're going to talk safe words But of course safe words do not have to be naughty And in this context And I'm going to bring them up They definitely were not
Starting point is 00:15:21 I have a daughter who's 11 And a son who's 9 And they're pretty good together But are like all siblings They will play and joke and then eventually that playing will turn into fighting. Oh, yes. And then the argument that one of them will have was,
Starting point is 00:15:38 well, we were just playing and I didn't know. And my daughter was saying, I didn't know, no, sorry, my son was like, I didn't know when she was like joking and laughing and saying stop, that she really did mean stop because the first few times she was saying stop, it was still funny and then it became not funny. And I was like, you guys need a safe word. And they were like, what? I was like, so you say the word.
Starting point is 00:15:59 and then when you say it you realize okay it's changed from playing to serious now and they're not enjoying this and so when you hear that word you have to respect it and instantly you stop doing whatever it is you're doing it hasn't just like stop doing that to me
Starting point is 00:16:13 worked for traditional times you know when you're fighting they're like stop and they're saying stop but they're still actually playing and joking and laughing and having fun right so they chose octopus the problem is brilliant they're overusing it they'll be playing and something have no
Starting point is 00:16:28 Octopus, octopus! I said octopus! I was like, no, it's meant to be how, like, you respect it because it doesn't happen much, and when it does happen, you respect the word. I'm kind of with you, Dan, because I thought stop was like, that means stop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:40 I don't say stop even if I'm like, the last thing I'm doing. If my brother's punching me in the face. Or like tickling me, or if he's tickle me or something, if I go stop, that means stop. Well, now they've got octopus as well as stop. So stop doesn't mean stop. I'd go stop first, or try stop.
Starting point is 00:16:57 If that's not working, then I'm having, to go to octopus, am I? Yeah, well, it sounds, because they would be saying things that insinuated that they want to stop, like stop, but then they're still laughing and joking together, and so the other person thinks, oh no, they don't mean stop. Maybe that's another lesson that you can teach you. I would say, stop hitting your sister before coming up with the safe word. I would go, first of all, in first instance, Cam, stop me and stop.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Stop punching your brother. Yeah, okay. Secret of all, if he is punching you, Ty, I would yell octopus. Okay. No, they chose their... I think you always have to choose your own safe word. So then afterwards... And it actually...
Starting point is 00:17:35 Initially, there were a few speed bumps, but they've worked it out now. So they're using the safe word effectively. My daughter goes, do you and mum have a safe word? And I say, yes, when things do get a little too rough. When we're playing, we'll have a safe word. Ours is Alaska, which means like, it's just...
Starting point is 00:17:54 How many times have you said Alaska? I've never used it. Right. But it's... You know how they say share your life, Clint on the radio? Sometimes you don't need to share everything. Well, it's like Alaska is because it's obviously cold there. It's like, cool it down.
Starting point is 00:18:10 That's kind of like Alaska, all right. That's just cool it down. Again, I feel like just stop is a good one there. I just agree. Stop. Yeah. I've never gone, you know what's not working? The words don't.
Starting point is 00:18:21 It's clear. It's one syllable. You've gone at least two syllables there with Alaska. There's three. Alaska. Octopus is three. It's terrible. Well, Susie said, her say.
Starting point is 00:18:31 word is sunflower and she doesn't necessarily just use it in the bedroom. She said they would use it when, well, it says her ex, I would talk too much about their sex life out in the open. Yikes. She'd be like, wow, look at these sunflowers. She's just going to sound like she's got Tourette's though. Like her husband's talking to his mate and she's just coming and going, Sunflower! Sunflower!
Starting point is 00:18:49 He's at the barbecue going, mate, you wouldn't believe what we did last weekend. Sunflower! The fact that that even had to happen, Susie, shows why he's the ex, that you had to make up a safe word because of how often you talked about your sex life in public. Yeah. You know, like, that's up. I think he's good that he's your ex. Instead of one conversation saying, hey, you stop doing that.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Producega? Jamie, your wife just messaged me saying Alaska? I think is that because you're talking about it? I need to check my phones. Why? She'll text you through sunflower. Does anyone? Do most people have one?
Starting point is 00:19:19 Do you have one? What's yours? I'll clear something up very quickly because people are saying, when I was talking about my kids having a safe word, that they just teach their kids that no means no. Yeah. My son smacked my daughter on the bum the other week, and she told him to stop it, and he thought it was funny.
Starting point is 00:19:33 And that was a teaching moment where I said to tie, hey, when we put our hands on somebody and they say stop, especially in that way, and I know you're just being funny, so I don't want to make you feel like a horrible person, but I was like, especially on women, when she says stop, she means stop. Like, that's it. There's no discussion whether it goes with your sister or anybody else. We need to respect when somebody tells you where they don't want you to put your hands,
Starting point is 00:19:57 I said, I know you're only nine, but you need to understand this. You need to learn this very quickly as a boy as you become a man. The safe word I'm talking about with the kids is when they're like playing around and throwing balls and whatever. And one of them doesn't find the game fun anymore. Yeah. And wants the person to stop antagonizing them. Yeah. And so they have a safe word, which means the person isn't finding the game fun.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Yeah, yeah. It's over. And they went with octopus. Brothers and sisters, eh, when it comes to play fighting. because there was a lot of times that you, it's just, yeah, it's almost that you get caught up of like how much fun it is or they do or something. You're like, no, it's not fun for me anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Okay, so we're talking about safe words. I thought, when we put this in the sheet, because this is how lame I am, I thought a safe word was when, like, we want to leave the party and we say something to our part. I mean, you could use that for that. That could be yours where you go, I'm going to throw out a word and they, that's a great one.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I mean, me and my life don't have that, we probably do. Is that why you say octopus or all right the other night? a lot. You'd only been there for 10 minutes. No, yeah, that's all like a text or a phone call. If you say a certain thing to your partner or a code message, then it's like, hey, can we leave? That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Somebody texts and going, our save word of Sandra. It's actually his mum's name. I jokingly said that it would stop him in his tracks and now it's our actual safe. But what's wrong with, like, for your instance, Meg, the leaving the party, what's wrong with going up to your partner and whispering in your ear? Can we go? Yeah. Instead of saying out loud randomly, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:21:24 hippopotamus. I think it's more in situations where, like, if I'm uncomfortable and I call my husband, and I'm like, I say something on the phone when I'm in front of someone who isn't getting a sort of situational hint that I'm like, they're not reading my body language, then I'm like, I'm comfy. Maybe if it's like an animal and you go, oh my God, babe, tomorrow we should take Daisy to the zoo, see the red panda. And then he knows, or red pandas, get the hell out of it.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Red panda is like, all righty, am I picking you up? Yeah, you need a word you can weave into conversation. But it's not random if you're in a conversation, even if it is awkward, and you call your husband and talk about Red Pandas. I'd be going, something's not right here. I don't know, with me, you might go, that's classic big, actually. Declan's safe word is Chicken Chow Main. Nice.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Again, no, Declan, too weird, man. Like, that's too out of the field. If you don't have one, this one might be alright. There's somebody who's texting saying, we use the traffic light system. Yellow means slow down and check in. And then, obviously, red means, okay, enough of that. Not for that. Yeah, done, done, done.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Okay, and Susie has a safe word, but you were using yours with your ex just so they wouldn't talk about your sexual escapades in public, Susie. Yeah, Susie, your word was sunflower. How the hell did that come up? That's very weird because, I mean, we're still co-parenting, and I still do love him. But at the same time, we went to a party one night,
Starting point is 00:22:49 and two girls, she said, off his eyebrows. What kind of parties did you go to? He needed to say sunflower much earlier. Yeah. No, I lost the plot and literally told them off, and he pulled all of their sunflowers out, and he said, they'll grow back when my eyebrows grow back.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Oh, man, I would have told. Man, I would have called Dan the next day, Miller, to hear about Susie's party. You would not believe, Dan, sit down. I've got a story for you. Oh, goodness me. Sunflower. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Wow, I would have wanted to be there. For you, producer Carl, someone said our safe word is Bunnings. We had to agree on something that neither of us would normally say. I feel like you mentioned bunnings most days, mate. And I'm always mentioning it during that time as well,
Starting point is 00:23:37 so it wouldn't work for us. Yeah, Carl loves a hardware store. Yeah, don't mention my to 10 round him. My goodness me. Easy money. $1,000 on the line. Let's play. Easy money.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Bang on 7 o'clock, thanks to Nobus class. Here we go. They handle your insurance claim. Just call your local branch direct. The letter was chosen yesterday was X, which is pretty tricky. So we've moved it to Y. We want 10 answers and 30 seconds without doubling up Kane. Good morning, Kane.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Good morning. Who chooses X? Some people just want to watch the world bird, doesn't they? Yeah, yeah. They try to be funny. Your wife's birthday next weekend, I see, Kane. It is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Well, let's see if we can get you $1,000. Yeah, that'd spoiler. Okay, is it a big birthday? Oh, something nice and quiet. Okay, okay. All right, well, we'll put 30 seconds on the clock. Your time will start at the end of Meg asking you your first question. Good luck, bro.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Thank you. Give me something you can eat. Oh, my gosh. Okay, okay. Sorry, sorry. No, it's all right. You can pass. Okay, wait on.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Do we stop? I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, he's never coming back. He's never coming back. Do we start a game? I'm not, okay. I want, I want you to win, mate. We want you to win. I'm going to give you another shot.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah, sorry, I'm just. Yeah, you were still getting your shoes on and the gun had gone off, mate, and everyone had taken it. Okay, so maybe Meg move that to later on in the questioning. Okay. Start with another one. I'm going to do your solid because, you know, we want your wife's birthday to be a goodie. Okay, come on. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Okay. Focus, brother. , you ready? Let us why. Here we go. Ready, Cain? Yes. Okay, here we go. Round two. That's time with Y, that's good.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Give me a brand. Oh my gosh. This is so hard. Honestly, it's, yeah, I can't even think right now. I'll be the worst ever. Oh, well, you've still got time. Not yet, you can still get a couple. Give another one.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Give another one. No, I can't think. He's a past. I can't do anything, guys. I'm totally. It's just Kay What are you up to,
Starting point is 00:25:59 Ray? Oh man You know what? This is a lot harder than I thought it would be You said it But I actually think This is the worst ever
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah I don't think we've ever had somebody Not even answer one Yeah With two goes So something you could eat We had yogurt Yames
Starting point is 00:26:16 You're put in And a brand We had Yamaha Yo play Yves said a little wrong Yeah I mean there's many others As well
Starting point is 00:26:21 I'm so sorry Kay Yeah No I am too Give us a girl's name No I'm blank No
Starting point is 00:26:31 I'm actually I'm echoing on I could hear myself echoing through the phone That'll be it Bad work when blames his tools Yeah and lucky cane Hey well you'll go down in the history books
Starting point is 00:26:44 For all the wrong reasons But we'll remember you bro And that's what you want You want to be remembered in life Well hey It is what it is A website Yahoo
Starting point is 00:26:55 Your favorite radio show In Podcast 4 Edge Breakfast Clint Megan Dan She I no doubt arrives today I would imagine So she's got a day for sound check tomorrow Olivia Dean
Starting point is 00:27:13 She's going to be Performing on Saturday night At Western Springs If you haven't got anywhere for Pre drinks We're doing Edge VIP Pries At Morningside Tavern Which is like a five minute walk
Starting point is 00:27:24 10 tops to Western Springs Starting at 3.30 through till 6th on Saturday afternoon. Morningside Tavern, everyone's favourite neighbourhood local, serving up good time seven days a week. What's to say she's not here already? She could have snuck in. Yeah, with Justin Bieber, he's here.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Is he? I was just someone saying that and I thought it was a rumour. Yeah, no, he's here. Whereabouts does he stay? He's at a golf course somewhere. Oh. We should send someone. Let's send Brady to the golf course.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Let's leave him alone. We're not sending up producer Brady. He couldn't even work out an intro for this. We asked him to put together an intro. Obviously, Olivia Dean has... Come be the middle. man I need and so we said to him maybe do come be the Dan I need and this is what
Starting point is 00:28:03 he whipped up with Lucy who does the day show some of your worst work in fact I'm going to say it is your worst work Brady and I've always come to think of you as quite quite a high quality producer do you know it would have been better and I'm just throwing this off the cuff if the three of us could just
Starting point is 00:28:24 throw out Dan where she says man okay let's do it Dan Man. Very easier. We've got some text in Dan already. If you want to give you ready to give some advice. Can I just front foot this?
Starting point is 00:28:37 This was not my idea. I've never prescribed to be good at advice. I don't think that people should take my advice, but I'll give it you anyway. Okay. Okay. How many dates, Dan, do you think you need to go on before you can expect someone to stop dating other people?
Starting point is 00:28:54 Oh, that's good. Hmm. I think you've got to keep your options open. Don't stop dating after the first date. If you think the first date went really well, I'd start not starting new conversations. Oh, okay, this is good stuff. Wait, wait, so you said you're not going to start new conversations.
Starting point is 00:29:11 What about the old... Yeah, I knew. But if you've got other ones that you've been chatting to on the go... Yeah, when do they get dropped? What date? I think maybe date three. I think if date three goes really well, and you're like, this person, we're really hitting it off. I really like them.
Starting point is 00:29:26 really attractive, our personalities. Then I would text all the other people that I've been texting on the apps or whatever I'm doing and go, you know what, that's, that's it for me. I've found my person. Richie agrees he says two to three dates before waving goodbye to the other day. So if you've been on your fourth date and the other person still seeing other people, time for a conversation? I think conversation then.
Starting point is 00:29:42 So do you go back to all the loose ends, Dan, that you were messaging and do you go, sorry, ladies. Yeah. I mean, in my case, I probably would have had any other loose ends. I think I'm lucky to have this loose ends. You were looking around and going, where are my loose ends? Yeah. I wish I had loose ends. But if you do have loose ends,
Starting point is 00:29:57 I think it's only fair to the person that you're going on the third date with to go, you know, I've ended all the other ones. Another relationship one. At what stage in the relationship is acceptable to start farting in front of each other? I would say never. I think if you, just do it discreetly.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I think if you're farting in front of your partner, it's a bit disrespectful, especially if you're fluffing in front of your girlfriend. Let give her a bit of respect. We found out that Dan had not farted in front of his wife for like I don't know how many years six years and so last year
Starting point is 00:30:27 There's no need Explain to me a situation Where you just have to let rip next to them When you want to be yourself And just like live in the way That's not me That's not me Okay well we got danted deliberately fart
Starting point is 00:30:37 In front of his wife For the very first time once And I still have the audio What time's dinner ready Okay Sorry Sorry about that That was two years ago
Starting point is 00:31:00 I don't know what happened Can I come clean That wasn't a real fart No I'm not done it I have like a fart machine. Listen again, it's a fart machine. You have a good listen to the movie. I thought it would have been obvious.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Maybe like 20 minutes. I couldn't bring myself. Here we go. This is the Clint Meg and Dan catch up. Want to hear the guys off here and a little looser? Listen and watch their Overtinkers podcast. You sit on the show. You didn't agree with me that I thought
Starting point is 00:31:37 Jamie Miller and his new song, Baby Doll, he sounds like Miley Cyrus. Now Jamie Miller obviously clearly a male. Miley Cyrus. Female. Yeah. But the end of the song sounds like Miley Cyrus.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And in fact, I played it to my wife and I go, who is this? She goes, I don't know. And I go, it's Miley. And she goes, oh yeah, it is too. Wasn't. Miley? Not Miley.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Doesn't it sound like Miley. This is textbook Clint, hey me? This is the most clint thing. Clint, this is you using your platform for evil. This is you using it for something that you want to settle because you think this is important.
Starting point is 00:32:17 I think you know your wrong. In a way, but you're wanting to prove that you're not. Okay, what I'm going to do here, though, is I'm going to either double down, and I'm going to prove that I was wrong twice, and that's the risk I'm willing to take. Or I'll prove my point that they do sound the same, because I have little snippets of Jamie and Miley. What a sad little man. Last night, he's gone home, and he's gone through all Jamie Miller's music, and he's just sat there, a sad little dark room, and just...
Starting point is 00:32:49 I can see him. If you don't get 100% and you can't tell me if it's a Jamie Miller song or a Miley Cyrus song, then clearly they must have similarities in their tone. Otherwise, you'd get a... I'm sure they do have similarities in their tone, but still it doesn't mean why are we doing this.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Yeah, who cares? Even if they do it? You said they don't sound the same, so I'm trying to prove they do by getting you. Okay. What's the best result you get from this, that Jamie Miller gets sued for defamation or copying? I was right, and you guys were wrong.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Okay. Okay, so this is Jamie. That's always got to be you. You know, it sounds like that. Now, here we go. I'm going to play a little snippet, the short, and you just have to agree, Miley, or Jamie? That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:33:29 That's Jamie. Correct. Yeah. Did you think that we'd go, oh, cool. I don't know. Oh, I just got to get you one time. Okay. Miley.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Isn't it? That's Jamie. Is it? It's Jamie Miller. I mean, it wasn't a very long. clip anyway. Well, you should be able to tell. Well, that's Miley, clearly, 100%. Yes. You guys jump the gun, really.
Starting point is 00:34:00 That's Jamie. Jamie. That's Miley Cyrus. Oh, it's Miley. Yes. Jamie. No, that's Miley, Meg, Miley. Keep the faith. Keep the faith. Go ahead. That's Miley.
Starting point is 00:34:17 That's Jamie covering Miley Cyrus as the climb. Oh, that's a trick question. You should know. He did a cover of it And that was going to be my ace in the hole But I got you twice before I've been needed to get out You got your ace in our hole What do you want?
Starting point is 00:34:34 There you go Clint Thank you very much Jamie sounds a bit like Miley Would you take little clips? Can everybody just text through just So he stops doing this go Well done Clint 3343
Starting point is 00:34:44 Well done Clint And clap him See clapping emojis Thanks Daisy Clint's right this time But it's not often he is But this time He is
Starting point is 00:34:51 Well done Clint It's a hell of a tune old baby doll but you'd be forgiven if you thought it was a Miley song it's actually by a guy named Jamie Miller This is not Miley
Starting point is 00:35:00 No Oh you would never know it Actually I'll put in Zin Jimmy Miller I'll play the whole song next because I think we need to hear it now Just so you guys can go Oh my guy
Starting point is 00:35:09 It does sound a bit like Miley Please no one's text through Well done Clint yet Please someone just go Well done Clint so we don't Please let it be over Clint Mc and Dan Edge Breakfast
Starting point is 00:35:19 All right it's time to stop being so positive Yes And talk about the things that we hate. You know what? It's always good, isn't it, to get it a little bit off your chest. Vent about something. And then it's out of your mind.
Starting point is 00:35:32 You push it out to the ether. There you go. Bada bing, bada bambam. Happy days. I don't like that all websites at the moment or now are all asking me to accept their cookies. I don't know. If I can deny them, stop asking me to...
Starting point is 00:35:44 Like, every website. Do you accept the cookies? No, I don't even know what the cookies are. I always accept a cookie if I'm offered. Delicious. Especially a chocolate chip. My one's with my website. wife whenever we're deciding how to have dinner, when to what we're having for dinner.
Starting point is 00:35:57 This is usually how the conversation goes. She'll go, or I'll go, what do you want for dinner? And I'll go, I don't know, you pick tacos. And then she'll go, no, I'm not really feeling tacos. Why did you ask then? Why did you ask? You want options. Do you prefer this or do you want this?
Starting point is 00:36:15 Yeah, well, if you, like, she's literally giving me the option of what I want for dinner. Then I give her an option and she says no. I don't like when you're in the middle of a text conversation and you're almost about to work it out and then they call you and I'm like we could have done that right at the start or just finish it with text
Starting point is 00:36:32 we don't need to do both I don't like when I'm in a store or on a footpath and that's where people decide to have their catch up because they just saw somebody and I have to do the whole oh oh sorry excuse me can I just get past
Starting point is 00:36:45 and then they're still and you look like the asshole I look like the asshole because I'm sorry sorry I just trying to get past here you would never want to go on a cruise You know what? Those conversations are happening literally everywhere in everyone's way Wrong day. You know I've got a theory
Starting point is 00:36:58 on this Meg and I think it's New Zealanders, we're the issue here because we've lived in a country that maybe in the past we've had a lot of space. But now more people are moving here, which is fine. More people are moving here and now there's not as much space as there used to be but we've still got no situational awareness.
Starting point is 00:37:14 It just drives me mad. I think it's because I'm so aware of everybody else around me. I'm like Uber, I'm always like a little bird looking around. Oh, am I annoying anybody? I'm always looking around. Why can't you do the same? Gemma is a thing she hates.
Starting point is 00:37:29 She said low-rise jeans coming back. Are they coming back? Oh, they're back. They're well and truly back. Low-rise, are they the ones that you show a bit of belly? Is that those ones? Show all your belly. Yeah, it's along with they think the skinny epidemic.
Starting point is 00:37:41 The old G-bang is sticking out, the whale's tail. Wild tail's back. All that. Maddie's text through. Now, this is something that she hates from her partner. I hate when my partner leaves every cabinet and every drawer open in the bed. in the kitchen anywhere he's been. I get accused of that as well.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Maybe it's a guy thing, maybe. I hate it when, sorry, I've gotten taken over here. I hate it when I'm driving behind somebody who's obviously lost or looking at their phone in directions or looking for a car park. And that means I have to go the speed that you want to go now. So suddenly even though we should be driving, you're going 20 because you're trying to figure out, or do I turn left here?
Starting point is 00:38:16 I don't, just, you have to pull over and figure it out off the road and then I can go past you. I hate when I go somewhere and you ask for their Wi-Fi, and it's like, W-H-6-4-9-Z-Z, little case B. I'm like, why haven't you changed your Wi-Fi password? Can you do that? I don't know. How do you?
Starting point is 00:38:33 Yeah, and it's like a thousand characters. You get one wrong, you're going, hold on, give it to me again. Yeah, you can make me quite funny. Oh, yeah. And what's your one, the Randall's one or something? I'm not giving you my Wi-Fi password. You'll find Dancerty outside your house again. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:47 You try to get his free Wi-Fi. Or when somebody jumps on your Netflix, like let's say, you know, family member or a friend also has access but then they jump in and they watch a show on your profile and then all of a sudden you go you jump in and you go I haven't even seen this episode and you realize they've mucked up your start point God that drives me mental
Starting point is 00:39:06 so there you go New Zealand hopefully you feel a little bit better about yourself you've got those things off your chest you can move on about your Thursday in a more positive attitude Get your Clint Meg and Dan Fax The Hatch The Westpac Studio Tap All right if you get on the air
Starting point is 00:39:21 Dan has a giant Westpac card that he's going to tap and then work out what you win. There are no losers in this game. You know, sometimes you get those giant novelty checks when someone wins a prize. This is just the card version of that. Love it. Jesse, congratulations. The hardest part is getting through. You have already won.
Starting point is 00:39:37 You just don't know what it is yet. Yay, Jesse. Good morning, guys. How are we? Good, Jess. Well done. How's Christchurch? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I see a slight bit of blue sky, but it's not looking hopeful. Beautiful. I hear things are pretty tight at the moment with, is it kids in their sports stuff? Yes, I have three children who are quite extensive apparently. Yeah, I was tuned to me, who knew? Who knew? I assumed to my best friend about this just yesterday, Jessie. She's got kids there slightly older than mine,
Starting point is 00:40:05 and she was listing off all their sports that we do during the week. And I thought, oh, my God, how do you do it? How do you do it with the money? How do you do it with the time? Uniforms, all that stuff, yeah. Yeah, things are hard, but look, we make it work because the kids love it, right? Oh, you're the best, you're the best. It looks like you're doing fundraising working for a charity.
Starting point is 00:40:22 So hopefully some good karma coming your way with the Westpac Studio tap. Here we go. Here we go. I've got the big card. I'm going to tap it on the tap and go. Here we go. You're ready? Do you see?

Starting point is 00:41:04 Three Incredible Women all playing In New Zealand in the next couple of weeks Lily Ellen, Hilary Duff, Zara Larson Olivia Dean's on Saturday Bruno Mars You've got three gigs at Eden Park in March Which women's not incredible Because you said three incredible women

Which means, you know, when it goes crazy because everybody just wants to go to the big show, you get to get him first. Oh, you like almost VIP treatment, eh? Yeah, a bit of a perk there. Love that. Listen up for your cuticle. We'll have another price to give away. Tomorrow, as we floated around.
Starting point is 00:41:53 around the show. All right, there are a lot of, there's a lot of chat going around about policies and parties and how you want the country run. And hopefully they are ticking off all the big issues, right? But there are a lot of like small issues
Starting point is 00:42:06 that I would also like to see somebody fix. And this is where Clinton announces that he is running for New Zealand first in this election. He's leaving the show. No, not happening. But if the three of us were to run for government, what would our number one policy be?
Starting point is 00:42:22 and then who would people vote for? I've already got mine. I feel very strongly about this. So do I. Okay, Meg? I mean, no, I've got mine, but I don't know if I feel really strongly. That'd be nice. Okay, we'll get to them next.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Take the edge off your day with Clint Meg and Dan. Edge. Roby Rodrigo, drop dead. It's 11 to 8. Clint Megan Dan brought to you by MTF Finance, your local money experts for personal and business finance. Okay, elections are going, on at the moment, you're going to get to vote.
Starting point is 00:42:57 There's a lot of cross-talk, a lot of arguing generally in the lead-up to the election. That's hard. I obviously, everybody should vote. It's a privilege, and you should always exercise that privilege. But I just don't know who I'm going to do. Well, the problem is, is like, what if you really like a policy that one person has, one party, then you really like a different policy that a different party has. You've sort of got to go with which party has the majority of policies that you agree with.
Starting point is 00:43:23 Thanks for mansplaining voting. for us. Thank you so much for that, Clint. Hopefully, whatever ends up happening, they cover off all the big issues. But there are some parties that haven't even discussed the important things that if I was running, I'd be throwing in there. Not as my major policy,
Starting point is 00:43:39 but they'd still be in there. And if you want to vote for me, you will be able to leave group chats without it saying Megan Mansell has left the conversation. Daniel Webby has left the group
Starting point is 00:43:54 why is that not a thing that we can do in 2026 and if I was in power that would be a thing You're not touching taxes or anything That's your main one That's kind of already taken care of Have you run this past Meta and Mark Zuckerberg and stuff I'd call Mark and I go Mark
Starting point is 00:44:08 One favour We don't need to do it across the whole country Just in New Zealand The amount of group chats I'm in That I desperately want out of Yeah Oh okay This sounds like one of those policies that he'll say
Starting point is 00:44:19 He'll get voted in and people will be expecting it And then he'll go Oh sorry Mark Zuckerberg said no I didn't realize how serious we were taking this and I might have got a little off course Okay If you vote for Meg This will be the first thing that she
Starting point is 00:44:33 Looking forward to this Free sauce Free what? So you never have to pay 50 cents for sauce Okay I'm sick of it I know it costs the restaurant I don't want to hear it from the text machine
Starting point is 00:44:47 I don't I'm not explaining how I'm going to do it I want free sauce Everywhere like what if you go to McDonald's and I don't order chicken nuggets. No, no. Let's say I get a big Mac combo, but I want a tub of sweet and sour sauce to dip my fries in. Free sauce.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Free sauce. Free. But that's free, isn't it? 60 cents. At McDonald's. At McDonald's is charging you. I didn't know that. Always asked for the sweetened sauce.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And I know that makes no sense because they need to pay for sauce. I don't care. Yeah, because as long as you're buying something from there. Do you buy something from there? And I go, hey, can I have a side of smart? Or could I have some extra tomato sauce and then you see on the receipts for 50 cents. You know what, Meg? I don't mind it.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Thank you. You're in one of the top parties that I'm looking at the moment. Those policies, both your policies are cute. I've gone much deeper. I've gone, and I think it is going to be a very popular policy with the masses, but the rich people are going to really hate it. Okay. I will ask every New Zealand citizen to give back every cent of their money.
Starting point is 00:45:46 The rich billionaires, the poorest people in the country. I'll take all that money, and I'd give everyone back. a million. So everybody in the country has got a million dollars each. So you're like a communist, like a socialist? No, it's not a communist. Everybody's got a million. That communism is like that everyone's the same class.
Starting point is 00:46:03 So there's no hierarchy in classes. So everybody would be... I'm a communist then. Right. But no, there'll be a difference. In 10 years, in 10 years, we'll come back and some people would have fritted their money away. And gone, you know what, I'm buying jet skis,
Starting point is 00:46:15 righty, right, right. And some people would have invested it good. And then we'll be back to a reality. Where we started. Is that where you teach the people how to look after their money? Yep, and part of that I'll teach people
Starting point is 00:46:24 to look after their money. Good, you can be my depedity. Oh, yay, free source. Yeah, me. Good, so we've got free sauce and everybody gets a million bucks. Or you can leave the group chat without anybody knowing
Starting point is 00:46:34 you can do it in secret. Even the in-laws chat. You know, your wife's family's chat or your husband's family chat. You sneak out of there. They don't even know you were gone. Four years ago, maybe. Can you also not clip up that thing
Starting point is 00:46:44 where I said I'm a communist? Right, okay, just got in this context. I was trying to appeal to the masses here. Hope goes, my bad person, Why do I kind of agree with Dan? It's just an idea. Two tips, Dan. Who's getting your vote?
Starting point is 00:46:58 There are obviously a lot of policies going around at the moment to try and entice you to give your vote to that party. Sometimes it's hard to work out what their policies are when they get together. That all of us sign up to when we get a benefit pay. We need to talk about. We need to move on. I think we should start with politicians first. We need to.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Because you can't have politicians making the law. No, absolutely. Absolutely. The reason that this idea. Not edited. That's just all them talking over each other. So let's go around the room very quickly. What is your policy?
Starting point is 00:47:28 Well, to be fair, Dad, I feel like you were to be a bit like Lee Field and me and Clint looking like idiots. I didn't know we're going to do actual. That happens always on the show, though. I just said free sauce, which is going to piss off the restaurants and the cafes. Yeah, and I want people to be able to leave a Facebook Messenger group chat without it telling everybody in the group that you didn't want to be a part of it anymore. And Dan wants to give her a million bucks. Like, who... I wonder who they're going to vote for.
Starting point is 00:47:50 No, I'm taking the money off everybody. Everybody gives money. How are you do that? And then I give it back everybody a million bucks, so it's equal. I just don't think Nick Mowbrie, the billionaire of New Zealand, is going to want to give up. He'll put a hit on you, bro. I don't care about Mowbrie. That's not going to be my...
Starting point is 00:48:07 I don't care about that. It'll be vote dad and then underneath, I don't care about Mowbris. You know what? Mowbris, if he finds out he's going to lose all his money, he would put so much money behind Meg's campaign just to get free sourcing to get her right. He doesn't get him free. Bloody stuff. Lawyer up, Hobre. All right, hope who are you voting for in the race for the prime minister?
Starting point is 00:48:25 Dan, I don't understand why that's bad. I can't get it. It's not a bad thing. They say when it comes to socialism or communism that it just means nobody kind of strives to do anything. Do anything because everyone's just got the same. Oh, good. I'm just going to sit with my million dollars.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Everybody will be equal. And you've got a million bucks, so you can make more if you want. Or you can just go out and buy a jet ski. Okay, Hope's voting for Dan. Nikki, who are we voting for? Who is Prime Minister? If Dan gets the vote, it's him. If me or Clint do, then I guess it's a tie.
Starting point is 00:49:01 And Dan, definitely. Thank you. Thank you, Nicky. Mickey, with your million bucks, I suppose you can buy all the sauce you want. Yeah, fair. Yeah, I know. But, hey, I really love the free sauce as well. Like, that's really good.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Well, that's good because Meg's come onto my party. So it's party vote me. And then other tick me. Oh, we don't care about Moabrie. And then lower it. but we do love sources. Yeah. Okay, so David's just done the maths on a million dollars for every New Zealander
Starting point is 00:49:27 and has worked out how much money you're going to need? David, so how much for Dan to be able to make his policy come true, how much money is he going to need to source from everyone? Like $6 trillion. Oh, you know what? Hipkins and Lucks and haven't done the maths properly either, so it doesn't matter. So it turns out he voted for Dan and he has a big fan. That liar.
Starting point is 00:49:49 You couldn't even get the money. Oh, I'll borrow it. Okay, so how much money would we all get if we voted Dan in? David. If we voted Dan in and he takes everyone's money, how much do you reckon would we get? Let me put that together. If we can't get a million, what do you reckon Dan could give us all if we gave all of our money to him? Maybe ten bucks.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Ten bucks? I'll take it. I'd rather have the source. No, no, you know what? If I can't make it happen, I'll borrow the money. Everybody's still getting a million dollars. She's still on the fence She said
Starting point is 00:50:21 She's voting for either me or you Meg So you got to Ooh You got to put your weight behind one of us You want free source Or do you want to get out of Facebook group chats Without it telling everyone you've left Oh
Starting point is 00:50:33 I'm going to have to go with I think I'm going to have to go with you Clint Yeah Thank you Because there is a group chat that I've been in For like 11 years And I can't leave it You can't leave it
Starting point is 00:50:45 No Because no one else has left Just leave it. And it's just going to say, Kayla left the chat, and then I'm going to look like the really, really bad family member. Do you know what?
Starting point is 00:50:55 Make you feel better? A million bucks in your banking channel. Do you know what? Actually, Dan, sorry, as my prime minister. Sorry, I'm just going to, sorry, Clint, I'm just going to, hey, it's not a million bucks. I've just done the maths. You get about 500,000.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Still good, in it? Yeah. It's still more than I've had. Chal, I was speaking of group chats. I've been added to one this week. It's got 200 guys in it, and it says you cannot leave the chat once you've been added. He was very.
Starting point is 00:51:17 specific about that. It feels like some sort of weird gang that I'm in now. It's just 200 guys that fart. It's called the UFC, the ultimate fart club. And this guy said, man, when I made this chat five years ago, it started with just three
Starting point is 00:51:34 guys in London. Now look at us. There are 200 of us. Unreal lads, you can never leave the halls of toots once you enter. I mean, you fit in though, Clint. It's just a whole bunch. The amount of You asked to be added.
Starting point is 00:51:49 You can't complain. No, I think you added me and I thought it was fun, but I didn't know how often I get notifications. The last fart? Do you want to have a guess? No, no one wants to hear it. Well, I'm going to play it and see if you can recognize it. Meg should be able to.
Starting point is 00:52:02 Oh, gosh, that my husband. Okay, this is just... I never thought I'd say this. Can we go back to communism? That's your husband guy, actually. He's the last person I want out of this chat, but I don't want the guys to know. Your chance to win easy money coming out.
Starting point is 00:52:16 Thanks for doing that, Meg. Someone had to. You're welcome. Easy money Clint Time Make you ready Bergen
Starting point is 00:52:23 And Dan's Oh my God Easy money All right Here we go You gotta do better than Poor Kane Yeah that was
Starting point is 00:52:30 30 seconds on the clock He didn't give us One single answer In 30 seconds He just had a mind blank And froze It can happen Let's hope it doesn't happen
Starting point is 00:52:38 Twice The letter is G So you got the g And the j words Now this morning Now Carl is Renowned
Starting point is 00:52:45 For not being a great Speller And I'm hoping That your name is Is it Roshana. Roshana? Roshana.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Okay, good, good. All right, Roshana is a stay-at-home mom. $1,000. We pay the bills. Your letter is G. You ready? Yeah. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:53:00 You sound scared. Okay. I'm scared. Okay. You can do this. I've got faith. You got it. Calm yourself.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Here we go. Just, it'll come to you. Give me a name. Gordon. A drink. Great fruit juice. A type of underwear. G string.
Starting point is 00:53:17 A school subject. Geography? A sport. Golf. A job. Oh my God. Path. An insect.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Pass. A three-letter word. Get. A flower. Time, Shana. You're doing a ride over for Monas in the beginning. For a job, we had gardener, geologist or garden. Insects grasshopper.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Grasshopper. And flowers. Gerberia, geranium. There's a few flowers. Hey, that was a solid effort, though. You know what? It was much better than 7 am this morning. I know.
Starting point is 00:54:00 I was like, that's my rug. I'm like, I can least stupid than that, surely. Well done. Nice. Thanks, Rashana. There's always a show off. Hey, Mark saying, I got all of those.
Starting point is 00:54:11 Oh, good for you, Mark. Should have called them. Mark. Could have been a thousand bucks. That could have been your slumdog millionaire moment. You know what? If you are one of these people that sits and plays in the car every morning
Starting point is 00:54:19 and you're doing it really well, call us. Oh, 800. Edge tomorrow, 7 a.m. It's back. We, according to the boss, almost risked getting a $20,000 fine doing something silly to try to promote the show yesterday.
Starting point is 00:54:32 There's always a risk of getting a fine. Whatever you do. Listen to your favorite breakfast show Whenever you like. Clint Meg and Dan. The Edge. Yesterday on the show, if you missed it, we've got a little bit of trouble with the boss. We had good intentions. Trying to promote the show. You may have seen
Starting point is 00:54:48 the Clint McGe and Dan, the new signs that are up around the country. Yeah, in fact, there's a lot up and around Western Springs Bowl this weekend. There's a lot of our ugly mox. Oh, with Olivia Dean performing on Saturday. Yeah, big purple billboards everywhere of us. And there are a lot of signs obviously going up at the moment, or the political parties are just nailing them to stakes
Starting point is 00:55:10 and putting them all up around the country in high traffic areas, parks and stuff. And we're like, why don't we just whack some of ours up next one? Yeah, people aren't even notice? It seems simple, doesn't it? Normally simple things mean that there are rules. Yeah, because you go, it's too easy. Why would everyone already been doing it? And we found that out the hard way when the other day,
Starting point is 00:55:31 the three of us decided to go to the park. And Meg's idea, just to whack some signs up. Meg, you need to screw the sign up. It's so small competitively. You worry too much, big boy? How one doesn't look as big as Christopher Luxem here, but he's compensating. All right, sorry, I've just spoken to the legal team. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:55:52 Did you, you spoke to a list of and put it on a fence, yeah? No, we've just put it out and, like, put it into, like, a public park. Yeah, so they get permission for that. It's like a $20,000 fine. Yeah, so it is illegal, like I've said, about $4,000. $20,000. All right, so you just want me to take it out? Please.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Yeah. Oh, what a waste of time. Yeah, now the thing is, why do the politicians get it? And why don't, any business, small fledgling business, like the edge. I think because the boss said they got permission. Yeah, you don't. We probably just could have just emailed. Anyway, that would have taken some time.
Starting point is 00:56:25 And so the boss suggested, he was like, you can go to people's private homes where, you know, some people have like one, they either have one party sign up because that's the way they're voting. Or weirdly, they have like all five, six, seven of them. But they can't get paid for it. Nah. And so we thought maybe we'd just send one of us out, shotgun not. I'll go, I'll go. Shot good, no. Oh, go.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Yep. And then is exactly what he said. He said, I'll go. And I'll just go door knocking and say, hey, Kevin, can we put our sign up in the front of your place? I'm sorry that I'm the only one that wants to promote the show. And I'm the only one that's willing to go door knocking, door to get bums on seats. You are amazing. So Dan was doing the show's work after the show yesterday.
Starting point is 00:57:10 He went around the streets to find out if people would be willing. Shall I try this one? The door's open. Someone's definitely home. Hello. Hi there. Hi. Hi.
Starting point is 00:57:21 My name is Dan. I'm just from the edge. How are you this morning? Yeah, sorry, I'm just going around the neighbourhood. We're going to get some of these posters up on our front fences around the neighbourhood. Would you be interested? No, no, I've never listened to the edge. Not a fan of Meg.
Starting point is 00:57:36 No, she's that one there. Bit of a bit of a... No, no, no, listen. Never listened. Yeah, what's... So, so we won't have it on my thing. Okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Thanks, bye-bye. Now, is that cut out? What did you say, a bit of a what? Yeah, cut out at just that moment. I said a bit of an acquired taste. Meg, I mean He was very adamant He was like, not on my fence
Starting point is 00:57:57 We said to Dan, right, well you're not going to get a yes Every single time So after the show he continued Going door to door Did we get any takers that are willing to have A sign of our show Outside their house And if you live on a busy area
Starting point is 00:58:11 Text 33343 You can get a sign on your fence Is she at that level A lot of them don't sound check anymore They get like some stand in to do it And then they just turn up and do the music We've got a bunch of signs that we're trying to get around the country. It's slow going at the moment.
Starting point is 00:58:28 We can't put it in the public parks where all the different political parties are putting theirs because the boss said you get fined $20,000 for doing that without permission. But you can. He's too safe that, Jack. He's too safe. Yep. But you can. There's nothing stuff if you're going door to door and just asking people if you can put the sign outside their house or on their fence.
Starting point is 00:58:46 To be honest, it's easier said than done, though. I tried it yesterday. Yeah. And Meg and I were safely in students. after the show when you were going door to door, never been happier to be in the safe... Oh, God, me and Clint were just... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:01 And the thing is... I went to quite a hoity-to-to-y-rich area, which is sort of I had to go somewhere near where we work, so that's quite a, you know, it's quite a well-to-do area. And turns out a lot of people don't like... Who knew? Getting things nailed into their nice white picket fence. Yeah, and door-knickers.
Starting point is 00:59:21 This is how I went after Dan's... initial fail that you might have just heard earlier. Okay, I'll try this one. Is he wearing high heels? Oh, hello. How are you? Hi, my name's Dan. I'm just from the Edge radio station. How are you? We're just putting some of these up around the place
Starting point is 00:59:43 just to promote the show, Clint McGee and Dan. I was wondering if you would be wanting us to put one of these up on your fence. I know there's a lot of politicians doing it at the moment, so we would capitalize. My husband's not here, so I just don't know it. Oh, don't palm it off to the hubby. Don't palmer. You're the boss.
Starting point is 01:00:01 You're putting around? Well, there's the, I've done four houses up further up the street. That was a lot. I was just wanting a couple lower down. How long is it going to stay there? Oh, like probably, like until like maybe three, four days? Oh no, that's fine. You sure?
Starting point is 01:00:19 Oh, thank you so much. Three days is fine, yeah, yeah. Oh, great, okay, so I'll just nail it to the fence. Sorry, you're doing a new... Yeah, it's just our show, just promoting. So that's Clint, that's me, Dan, and that's Meg there. Oh, gorgeous. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:32 Oh, yeah. Yeah, so that's me there. I know I had a lot of makeup on that day. I got on the idea. Yeah, okay, I'll just get the power drill out. Well, thank you so much. Appreciate it. It'll be there.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Thank you. Thank you, bye-bye. Guys, there we go. We got one. We got one in the bag. Here we go. I don't know. She agreed to it.
Starting point is 01:00:51 I'm on a roll now. How would you feel if I put this up on your house? Oh, it's not your house. Oh, it's probably just as well I could do it, eh? Well, you probably could, but... Yeah. It's promoting a great radio. You listen to the radio station.
Starting point is 01:01:06 What are you listening to? What are you listening to all the Chades listen to? Oh, the Rock. Oh, yeah. Nah, pass off. See, we went one too many. Thanks, Dan. Any music is good music.
Starting point is 01:01:18 Yeah, yeah. Thanks, mate. Nailed it up anyway. Yeah. Then he came up and fought me and I punched him. Did you? No, I didn't actually. Tony says he'll do some of the heavy lifting for us this morning.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Hey, Tony. Good morning, Tony. How's it going? Yeah, mate. So you're willing to put up one of our signs on your fence? Yes, that's right. Yep, I live in May I'll stay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Okay, this is great. Actually, why am we doing that? Why is Dan going door to door when we have people that love the show that are listening that could just be promoting our show for it? I've listened to the station since JJ Mike and Dom days every episode. No, wow. Every station, your show. All your favorite episodes.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Well, thanks for sticking with us, mate, over the changes. Yeah, that's great. to be some over 15 years. Okay, Tony, so what you'll need is we'll send you the image, you just need a big printer. Okay? Do you have an Epsom? We can probably send Tony one of our
Starting point is 01:02:18 core flutes, one of our signs. There's real estate signs. Okay, good. Yeah, I'll put it up straight away. As soon as I get it. That's not a bad shout, though. Maybe we need some sort of incentive to try and get Kiwis around New Zealand
Starting point is 01:02:34 to start promoting the show in the lead up to the election. Like an in, oh yeah. Need a carrot though. Wait, let me email the boss. Okay. Also, if you are living on a big street corner, very high foot traffic and you own a Hewlett Packard, jet, get in touch with us.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Okay. And we'll send some images to you. I've emailed him saying we need the big carrot. Okay, Alice, you'd put up signs to promote the show for us too? Well, I've actually got a better idea. Like, why don't you put it into your back, like, car window? Because then you've got like a moving billboard. You have a better idea?
Starting point is 01:03:07 Alice, why don't we just leave it up to you how you promote the show? If you want to promote it in your car, I think. And we do that. Yeah. Everyone keeps messaging me still going, I'd do anything for electric av tickets. Do we have any more of those? I guess we could get our hands on some. Producer Carl's nodding, yes?
Starting point is 01:03:24 No. No, he's pulling the fingers at you. I'm going to do what I can behind the scenes. I will pull the little amount of strengths that I have. Let's just say, the person that promotes the show in the best way, we'll work out the details next week. When's electric have ticket? Clint, I don't think we can lock that in yet.
Starting point is 01:03:38 Let me just... Meeks nodding. We should say that. We should say that. I would love that. I would love to be able to officially give you the answer. Yeah, okay, so let's say we should say we should give away electric game tickets next week in exchange for the person that promotes the show in the best way.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Put it this way. You have my word. No, now, now at a court of law. Oh, right. I feel that. It's all right. Dad's got a ticket. He'll just give his.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Edge breakfast, Clint McGinn Dan. Love and all the texts that are coming through with people's ideas as to how they would help promote the Clint McGinn Dan show. Tony said Ed Chucker, one of his real estate signs in his yard. Alice said you put it in the back of a car. Now we've got Paul saying he's going to make a splashback for his house. Now, Paul, here's my challenge to you. You're making a splashback for your house.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Can you make it for another person's house? Maybe they've ordered the marble and you just print the edge. All right, anyway, we'll finalise something tomorrow on the show when we work out what we can and can't do what we're allowed to do. I thought you were the boss me, you could just be like, yep. I am the boss but you just went and made the decision. Yeah. She's busy pulling strings. I'm pulling strings. Can we have
Starting point is 01:04:45 electric av tickets? She's pulling strings. You've had my word, Clint. What do you want? What do you say? Yes. Yeah. Okay. Shit. Oh, my God. Books by Boomer. Okay. Hey! Books by Boomers.
Starting point is 01:05:01 There is an article that was released at 19. 158, 129 ways to get a husband or a room of 16 men, wrote a list. They should have had at least one woman in there. Wrote a list of 129 ways for you to be able to get a husband if you're struggling. So, boys, what numbers I thought would you... Oh, yeah, that's right. We're just going to randomly choose a few and maybe let us know because we can't get through all of them. And you guys can then discuss if you think this would be a great way for you to find your wife.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Oh, what's number 129? 129. What was the last one that just snuck in? Don't marry him if he has too many loose buttons. That's the last one that came through. That's the last one that came through.
Starting point is 01:05:47 Okay, let's go with number 16. Wait, do they mean like you undo too many and show too much chest? I don't know what that might. Or maybe there was a problem with buttons not being sewn on properly. Yeah, Clinton didn't get that, either. Number 16, number 16.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Okay, number 16. is Thank you, Dan. Volunteer for jury duty. What's that going to do? I guess you're meeting you. Meeting you women and people. Are you flirting at jury duty when you're doing a murder case
Starting point is 01:06:15 or like something? You know, if I'm sitting down and I'm a jury member on quite a serious thing, the last thing I'm thinking about is flirting or doing any type of pick up. 129 ways to get a husband. Let's go number 22. 22.
Starting point is 01:06:29 On a plane, train or bus, don't sit next to a woman. Sit next to a man. That is my rule. Also, you want to sit next to one that you actually might be attracted to? Yeah, I guess so, but then they might have friends. That's what they're saying. That's true. So they might have friends.
Starting point is 01:06:46 So every opportunity is an opportunity. These are from 1958, remember that? Yes, yes, yes. So they may not be working in 2026. Let's go on to the top 10. Let's have number 10. Take a bicycle trip through Europe. These single lady is apparently rich
Starting point is 01:07:03 They've got nothing Not an option It's just Well one minute they catch in the bus The next minute they go into Paris Cheapers than a rental car I guess Okay 129 ways to
Starting point is 01:07:12 Find a husband Number 26 This is a good one clan This is a real good one Okay cool Don't flat with a girl Who's a sad sack And let her pull you down
Starting point is 01:07:22 Yeah Well because like There's nothing worse than a female sad sack We need a look together Do they both sort of rub off on one another? Like she could have a future husband He goes, I don't like a sad sack, mate, so I'm going to Where was this written?
Starting point is 01:07:35 1958. Bloody how. Isn't that crazy? Okay. A couple more. Let's do one more. Number 19. 19.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Okay. Okay. And the final suggestion, if you are single ladies from 1958 on how to find a husband, is get lost at a rugby game. Get lost? Oh, but like actually lost or pretending? Oh, I don't know where I am. I guess get, yeah, yeah, I think you're at a rugby game.
Starting point is 01:07:59 game. Can you point me in the direction of the men? Yeah. I think you just get lost. And then if you spot an attractive man, you can be like, I'm so sorry, I'm lost. And they go, well, what are you looking for? You're like, where do you want to go? So true.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Like, if you just, if you couldn't meet guys and you just went to a stadium where there was a rugby game on, and you went and bought a jersey from the merch stand, mate, it'd be like shooting fish in a barrel. True, a lot of men are. They're everywhere. They are everywhere. So you think this is quite a good list. Well, that idea, I don't think it's actually too bad.
Starting point is 01:08:31 Yeah. Eden Park. I've always said a great way to pick up. I wonder how many people have picked up at like a rugby game or a league game. Oh, gosh. I know one time my mum tried to get me a husband at a rugby game. She sat next to some guys at a rugby game many years ago before I met my husband. And I got a text.
Starting point is 01:08:46 I was in Wellington at the time and she was, God, I don't know where she was. But I got a text from a guy saying, hi, your mum gave me your number. That poor guy. Oh, my God. Coming up on the each breakfast. Was she sitting next to him going, text her now. Text her now. This is a photo of her.
Starting point is 01:09:00 This is what she looks like. Yeah. There you go, click her a text. Next, we're going to chat with Irene. She's making the news at the moment. What did she find instead of a scorched almond inside her chocolate? Finish your breakfast, guys. It's whatever you think it is, it's worse.
Starting point is 01:09:17 The Edge is the home of Clint McGendam. The Edge. I'm sort of torn about sharing this story because I am quite impartial. I do love a scorched almond. Oh, it's the bet. They are, in my opinion, the best chocolate. What if you got your scorched almonds and you wanted to pop one in your mouth and you go, oh, yummy scorched almond delicious?
Starting point is 01:09:38 And you go, actually, you know what? I'm going to have one more. Put another one, yummy delicious. And you thought, Dan, you know what? It is a Thursday. Let's do one more scorchy almond. You pop it in your mouth. You bite down.
Starting point is 01:09:49 You go, that's a bit harder than usual. It's not an almond. And you go, what the hell? You roll it around your tongue about you suck on it. Oh. And then you spit it out and you go, that's a rotten tooth. That's what happened to Irene this morning. Hi, Irene.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Good morning. Oh, Irene. Was it like a Halloween trick-or-treat promo where you like find the tooth and win or something? I don't know. It was awful. Yeah, so you must have at that time imagined it was your own tooth. That's what I would do. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Have I got a tooth that's fallen out? Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah. Yeah. I'll tell you what, okay, so that was like Wednesday last week and I was eating the, you know, the, I think the brand is all over the news, the Atkins ones. And I felt like, you know, it's a bit hard, you know, so it's chocolatey and then there is like this bit and it's very hard. And I kept, seriously, I kept sucking on it just to divorce that. Yeah, I know, I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:10:55 I know. I know. I know. So. And I just kept sucking in it. And it's not, it's not going away, you know. It's really hard. And when I spit it, it's this little thing.
Starting point is 01:11:09 And it's, it has, it's like, it's a tooth. It's a small, I thought it was like a stone or something. I looked at it. It's a tooth that's a bit rotten. And it has got little specks of very dry blood. Okay. Stop. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Yeah, I know. I know. I know. I know, Irene. Like, how does this get through? Like, did you report it? Yeah. What's happened?
Starting point is 01:11:36 Did they have an explanation? I'll tell you what, the first thing I did, I checked my teeth. Everything is in order. There's nothing wrong with me. Everything, like, you know, there's nothing wrong with me. So I just, you know, I called Atkins on the number on the box. And of course they ignored me No one
Starting point is 01:11:56 No one rang me back Oh That's a bad sign They should do everything they can To do anything they want To keep me The story quiet and out of the media Okay
Starting point is 01:12:06 Oh sorry Sorry Go on And then after that You know I I rang Woolworth And they just
Starting point is 01:12:16 You know The lady just was laughing You know Seriously she took that very lightly And she said Oh you know like maybe you know there are other body parts and the other chocolates. Oh, so she was thinking it as a joke.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Okay, ladies. You mean a rotten too. You suck on someone's bleeding decaying tooth. Jesus. Oh. The whole idea is, you know, and then the next day I emailed the Ministry of Primary Industries, MBI, MPI. And then I reported that to the New Zealand Herod.
Starting point is 01:12:53 And this is when... Oh, that's when suddenly. Yeah, this is when everyone started to pay attention. Yep. Yeah. Interesting, right. So you went straight to them. So you actually did the right thing.
Starting point is 01:13:06 You went straight to them and said, let's keep this private. I'm laying you know this has happened. Everyone didn't either message you back or call you back or laugh at you. And then you go, all right, I'll go to the media. And now they're like, oh my goodness, we take it very seriously. Exactly. Wow. And everyone just like, you know, they started to pay attention.
Starting point is 01:13:22 and they, yeah, this is when they took it seriously and they came and they collected that, you know, the human remains. And what was the compensation? Like, what have they given you as a sorry? One worst gave me 50 bucks. That's it, yeah. What was gave you 50 bucks? I wouldn't think it would have been their fault.
Starting point is 01:13:44 They're just putting... I'm just looking on the website, Scorched almonds on the show. I'm looking on the website now, Irene, at Atkins, scorched almonds. They are local. carb. So I wonder if to keep under the carb count they have to put Teeth. Every now and then they just took it too thin.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Hey, we'll send you a Nerds Gummy Cluster Prize Pack and that is the only thing that'll be inside the packets. I can guarantee you that, Irene. Thank you for telling your story on here this morning. Okay. Thanks, Irene. Thank you so much. They contain almonds, cocoa, butter
Starting point is 01:14:14 and natural flavour. Ah, that's what that is. Yeah. She described there was still blood on the tooth. That wasn't for me. What surprise did you get in your food? Yep, that's what we're doing. Yeah, you may be in the lead up to Halloween, the old trick or treat. You tell us how you got tricked
Starting point is 01:14:28 with something in your food that shouldn't have been there, and we'll give you the treat. Get your Clint McGinn to and Dan Fex. You may have seen floating around the media because she found an infected bloody tooth
Starting point is 01:14:39 in place of the scorched diamond and the chocolate. How does that get into the vat? I'd love to see you how that. I think something must swing around in the factory, hits them in the face, and they're like, oh, and they spit a tooth, out and then they go, where'd that go?
Starting point is 01:14:54 There could be a tooth in there because I lost one. Let's get rid of the van. He doesn't want to get in trouble. Imagine like emptying a whole vat of chocolate. He probably just went out. Maybe the tooth fairy was hungry, spilt her bag. I don't know. That could happen.
Starting point is 01:15:04 So, look, I'm going to pre-warn you now. This is going to be disgusting. Okay? It's what it is. It's finding gross things and food. Charlotte, I thought, was a great reminder. Do you remember the time that God? He rang us up and he said he felt a lump of,
Starting point is 01:15:22 like a hoik somebody had spat in his coffee That's right Yeah and he was like that first sip of a coffee And it was a takeaway So he just slurped it up through the little hole You honestly Why did that
Starting point is 01:15:34 He must have been horrible to the barista Still that's no excuse That's horrendous Anyway Tracy as well I said I can't call But I had a cigarette butt On a mushroom pizza It was quite well disguised
Starting point is 01:15:46 I imagine to smoke and making the pizza And he goes where the hell do I put my sickie Oh God Okay let's go to Abby, Abby, what did you find in your food? So I'd got a nice, fresh loaf of bread, and I went to take a bite and felt something a little bit strange,
Starting point is 01:16:03 and I pulled it out of my mouth, and it was, I know it wasn't mine because it was huge. It was like someone had clipped their big toenails into the library. There's no way, Abby. No way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's no, are you sure it couldn't have been a bit of hardened yeast? It was a nail
Starting point is 01:16:23 It was a toe nail 100,000 What did you do? Out of interest, Abby? So you found out it was a toenail Then what did you do? Eat around it. Well, I should have reported it, shouldn't I?
Starting point is 01:16:33 Yeah. I just... You're hungry. I left it too long. So instead, I just went around telling everyone not to buy that brand. I won't name and shame because it's my fault I didn't report,
Starting point is 01:16:41 but... I would have gone full Karen up in their ass. Hey, um, Abby, we'll give you a nerd gummy cluster prize pack. Nothing else but gummy clusters. I might put a toenail in just to make her. Something crunchy, gummy and spooky is coming for Halloween. Oh man, should we stop it now? Should we just end it?
Starting point is 01:17:00 Should we end it? Should we end it? Because I don't know if I ever... Wendy found something in her fast food. Hello Wendy. I think this is the last one. Yes, I'll found. We had rat's tails in our chicken.
Starting point is 01:17:13 Okay, go away. Go away. I'm going. Oh, rats are. Now, again, like the tooth. How does a rat's tail? go into the bat of chicken. I'm just, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:17:26 Someone, oh, mate, there's so many of them, eh? What did? Someone said they vomited after that coffee one. Oh, yeah, slurping it up, Ahoy through the hole. You don't need to mention it again. Meg's left. Meg's gone. Producer Carl was just telling us, I know we're doing the whole food thing.
Starting point is 01:17:42 I don't know if they want to be associated next with what we've just been talking about. But there are a whole bunch of, like, the greatest sausages going around in New Zealand and where to buy them. Do you want to talk to the winner Who holds the best sausage in New Zealand? Yeah, okay
Starting point is 01:17:55 With their toenail found in one of them or something No, just sausage This is an award winner So I'd assume there's no body parts of them Did he win for the nicest tasting sausage The biggest sausage? Like, what was his category? All of the above. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Thank you. All right. We should have really separated it from this last chat. Probably. Yeah. Clint Meg and Dan Edge Breakfast. The Edge.
Starting point is 01:18:14 Where is New Zealand's greatest sausage found? Yeah. That's with Jeff. My name is Jeff. Goody Jeff. How are we, team? How are we? Congratulations.
Starting point is 01:18:26 You got the best meat in the country. Thank you very much, guys. I do appreciate it. So it's Mapati, is that, I'm saying it right, Mapoiti meats? Yeah, that's right, yeah, yeah, yep. That's Macari Meeks down on Lunaver and Mount Wellington. And you've won the best snag in the country, the taco snag. That's the one, eh.
Starting point is 01:18:46 It's a bit of a trend at the moment, the old Beria Tarko A, so we thought we'd do a bit of a remake and turn it into a sausage. And, yeah, everyone seems to love it, hey, this is awesome. Are you married, Jeff? I am, unfortunately, yeah. You never say unfortunately. I don't say it's fortunately. What did your wife say when you told her you had the best sausage in the country?
Starting point is 01:19:07 Oh, Clint. Oh, no, she loves a good sausage, eh? She does love a good sausage. Yeah. Now, sell it to us. Because, you know, it has won the best sausage in the country, so people are going to be buying it anyway. Why is it so good?
Starting point is 01:19:18 Yeah, so obviously a lot of effort goes into the making of it The barrier one especially so we make a bit of a broth So it takes about eight hours to do that And then obviously really high quality meat that goes into it And a few extra secret spices that we put in And yeah, you get your barrier taco sausage And I think the sausage in general gets a bad rap Because everybody just thinks you know you put
Starting point is 01:19:44 It's got this thing of like it's all the shit meat from the butchery goes into it. But I think in the last five to ten years, the sausage game has really upped itself in New Zealand and you are one of the people that is doing that, Jeff. No, absolutely, mate. Yeah, gone of the days of the old sawdust off the floor of the butcher shop
Starting point is 01:20:04 turning in for sausages, it's definitely high-quality ingredients, high-quality meat, and yeah, like people seem to love them, eh? And the cool thing is you can order it online if you aren't in Auckland, ma-paremeats.com.com.com. I, meets.co.
Starting point is 01:20:19 NZ. Hey, well, we'll chuck an order and can't wait to give it a go. New Zealand's greatest sausage. Yeah. Trust you to want to do.
Starting point is 01:20:27 You would say that. Absolutely. Yeah. Clid to have the first bite. Look at me and Dan. Fog me and at the bit to get him. You like that when you click. Congratulations.
Starting point is 01:20:37 You've got a Meg. Yeah. Jeff's having a good Thursday. Along with Meg and Dan. Getting sausage jokes out there. Yeah, but Clint's the one that was to chase it first. I'm so immature. It's crazy that I'm the most mature on the show.
Starting point is 01:20:52 It's crazy. You love a sausage, though, eh? Especially the target one. Want to hear more of Clint, Meg and Dan, but completely unfiltered?
