Starting point is 00:00:36 Mr. Patrick Tromley, the leader of Level Up Legion. He is on a mission to change men's lives, to be the level up dad that he is, to be able to be the leader in the lighthouse of your family. And he is on here to talk all about the meaning of that, why he developed this and how important that is for him and for us as men and entrepreneurs and A-type people. My brother, Patrick, what is happening, bro? Thank you for having me on, man. I'm happy to be here, excited and ready to get
Starting point is 00:01:11 into it. Yeah, dude. Well, listen, first and foremost, I want everyone to make sure if you are an entrepreneur, if you are a A-type personality, a driver, someone who's going to lead their tribe, yes, usually the focus is on men but he has women in his tribe as well and that is you i want everyone to follow him first what is your handle on instagram the level up dad at the level up dad straightforward straightforward level up legion level up dad that's it um you know listen you and i have had a journey together for years now it's been pretty incredible to see what you've, listen, you and I've had a journey together for years now. It's been pretty incredible to see what you've done within real estate and then coming from a W2 job and
Starting point is 00:01:49 then creating this business on your own. Let's jump into that. Let's jump into going from the W2 job mentality into being in entrepreneurship and creating a true business essentially from nothing but passion. Talk a little bit about your experience there. Yeah, so I started in the mortgage side of the real estate industry. I was in there for almost 25 years and constantly working for somebody else. I went through the mortgage meltdown, had two different banks that I worked at shut down. So I was really kind of at somebody else's whim, right? I wasn't in control of my career, wasn't in control of my life at that point.
Starting point is 00:02:26 So that's when I started looking at going direct to the consumer so that I could generate my own business and wasn't able to find the level of success that I had early in my career. So then that's kind of when you and I connected and I was going into the investing side of real estate and again, was able to do all right, but wasn't able to reach that same level of success. And I also felt that something was missing inside, right? I wasn't in control. I was always chasing that next deal. And that gets tiring and it's really an insatiable appetite. So I looked for something to do to really kind of fill the void that I had. And that started with personal development. So I started going down that path and hired a mentor. And my mentor really changed my focus from chasing
Starting point is 00:03:09 the bag to aligning with my conscience, listening to what my conscience was telling me. And by doing that, I really found my purpose. So my purpose, and I believe most of our purpose is to create the best version of us and give that person to our family, to our tribe, to our company, our clients. And so going through that process of really trying to get better myself started with health and fitness, because that's the foundation for success everywhere else. And by going through and following a plan, I built a high level of discipline. I really changed my perspective and the way that I operate and the way that I view stuff. And it was a complete mindset shift from being kind of a selfish man child, I like to say to an elite level leader where I put my
Starting point is 00:03:50 purpose ahead of my pleasure in every circumstance. And by doing that, I saw the direct impact on my family. And it wasn't that I was a bad dad or a bad husband before, but I wasn't as good as I knew I could be. And so by going through this process of really trying to get better, I saw the direct impact on my family. I saw my kids have more joy. There was, we were more connected. My wife and I became even closer than we were before. Our relationship has gone to the next level. And so because of the impact I've seen directly on my family, that's what made me feel obligated to try and help others as many as possible, get that same kind of joy from their families and
Starting point is 00:04:25 provide that kind of leadership and love to their families. So it's a full circle. Yeah, I think that thing you said right now that all entrepreneurs need to listen to, listen, at the end of the day, all people, if you're a human and you're listening to this, or if you're watching this, which you should be watching all episodes over at justincolby.tv, then you need to focus on this saying that he just said, purpose over pleasure. I've known Patrick now for years. And when you just said that, that shook something inside of me, because as you know, I'm a leader to a tribe of science of flipping and not just that, but my wife and my children and things of that nature. But
Starting point is 00:05:01 that is something that I think a lot of humans don't value is what is your purpose? I talk about, you know, purpose over the why. A lot of people will say, what's your why? And I think that is, in my opinion, I think that's just blown out now. I think it's generic. I think there's books and everyone's saying, okay, you have to understand what your why is. I don't really resonate with that anymore at the time i did i actually think it's what's your purpose why are you doing anything at all besides just breathing like 100 why are you here right um exactly and so if you're an entrepreneur if you're a you know for for you where i want to go is that transition from w2 to level up legion right? But you have to understand that there's a bigger purpose for
Starting point is 00:05:46 all of it, right? Making money is fine. And, you know, obviously, it helps you get out of challenges. And we'll talk about your challenges here shortly. And, but the purpose has to be bigger. And you have found that and I think entrepreneurs need to find the purpose, not just the why, because every answer is their children. That's obvious. But what is the purpose behind it all? So let's talk, let's dive in a little bit more. Now that you found you're there doing loans, you're a W-2 employee making good money, you know, you're not destitute, you don't have that story per se. But you know, you've then kind of had a calling internally, to some extent, it sounds like. And you right i'm i'm more than this i am more than this dude that's sitting here fucking sending loans
Starting point is 00:06:29 making some money everything's mediocre everything's nice can't really complain and let's talk about that and then how did that transition happen in you to to now go out and create such a legion of level up legion and to try try to not try but are actively changing people's lives i literally just was on a call with one of your newer members i'll leave them nameless but he's like yeah man i'm not i'm not i'm fasting i'm gonna fast uh and so i immediately was like oh i get it so you know what what was that transition for you so it really was starting personal development i i wanted to make more money and that may have not been the the best motive initially but i wanted to make more money so i figured i had to get better to bring more value to be able to earn more money
Starting point is 00:07:18 but by going through that process of really working on myself improving my mindset getting healthy getting fit. I believe my conscience is the voice of God. And so by listening to that, everything kind of fell into place, right? My purpose started to become more and more clear. I felt more fulfilled with the actions I was doing. And by doing that more and more, I picked up more momentum. And so I knew that this was what I was supposed to do. I just knew it
Starting point is 00:07:45 internally. And I think that's because I was in alignment with my conscience of what it was telling me to do. So the way I evaluate everything now is does this align with that highest and best self that I'm working to create? And by doing that, using that as a barometer or a gauge, everything really becomes so much simpler, right? Decision making becomes so much simpler. Energy is pushed to the right areas. You're not aimless. Now you're purpose and you're purpose driven. So you do everything that's in alignment with that purpose. And so for me, that was the biggest thing was listening to my conscience. And by doing that, I got that sense of fulfillment. I got that inner peace that I know most of us are chasing. And, and it was just a real epiphany
Starting point is 00:08:26 that, you know, it's not about me, it's about who I need to be for my family and for my people and for my tribe. And that was the biggest kind of mind blowing scenario that I ran through. And it has really changed exactly who I am. It has changed how I operate. It's changed how I think about everything. And it was, it was huge. It was huge. And it's, it seems simple. It seems kind of, well, yeah, anybody can do that. But it's true. Anybody can do it. The thing is, you have to sit and actually sit in silence, sit in it and go through sometimes some pain, you have to relive some stuff, but you have to heal and overcome to get into alignment with your purpose. So that was the biggest transition for me. Well, everything that you say yes to, you're saying no to something else, right? And so one
Starting point is 00:09:14 of the things that you just said there that is very, very valuable for the listeners to understand is you wanted to go out and create more value. And you knew by doing that you were going to live a bigger life. I don't always relate to everything about money per se, but it also equates to more money. The more value you provide, the more money you're going to make. Period. End of story. Why do you think Tony Robbins is Tony Robbins or Oprah is Oprah or name the name, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, they provided massive, massive value, right? And look where their bank accounts are at. And so that is true in any scenario, in any vertical, and no matter what, I don't care if you're a W2 employee, if you provide more value than the rest of your employees, you will get a raise,
Starting point is 00:09:55 you will get a promotion, you will. Now, it may not happen when you want, right? That's the other component is you guys have to have a proper expectation on the result you're trying to achieve, right? And so for you, and I know you very well, like you're not nearly the size that you want to be in terms of your business. But that happens over time and as you offer more value. Like I just said this morning, just this morning, I'm talking to a new member of yours because you're getting in the right circles. You're in alignment with your purpose. You're talking about what people can do. And that is vibrating correctly with those that need, you know, to level up, frankly. And that's the key. But always focusing on providing value without asking in return is absolutely everything. That's it.
Starting point is 00:10:45 I mean, and that's what I try and do is, especially like on Instagram, I try and put as much value out there as possible so that people can take from it what applies to them or what might benefit them and apply it to their lives to try and get better. I don't charge for any of that, obviously. Like that is just, here is everything that I do on a daily basis. Here's what I think. Here's how I view these kinds of situations. And a lot of people are able to extract a lot of value and apply it to their life. So
Starting point is 00:11:08 that's what it's all about for me. The income is going to come when it's supposed to, right? I'm not in control of that, but all I can control is me and what I do. So I put as much effort and energy into providing as much value to as many people as possible. Let's talk about social media real quick. What have you seen? Listen, as a loan broker, you could care less. You're like, I don't need fucking anything, right? Like I'm going to go out there and I'm going to book a business and I'm going to do my thing. What can you talk to me or us about how social media has helped your company branding, you branding, your value branding, uh, your mission, your your purpose let's talk about the growth there i mean before i started doing this i i hadn't posted in over a year i would just throw random stuff up in
Starting point is 00:11:51 the stories but since i've been doing this i've posted multiple times for over a year almost a year and a half now and that has been where all my growth has come from that's the only thing i do i don't do outside ads i don't really post anywhere else except for Instagram. And I have poured is so much energy and effort into creating that brand and just the reach that you have alone organically. I mean, and then you have paid ads as well. It, it is such a huge tool that anybody that's not using it is, is missing the boat because the amount of reach that you have for the cost that's unparalleled there's nowhere else you're going to get that and really bringing in others right people that are the same like of the same kind of mindset and collaborating with them
Starting point is 00:12:37 and helping really spread that message and build that positive community is is what it's all about really again delivering that value as much as possible. And social media is the best way that I've found. It's the best way to reach the most people for the amount of energy and effort to do other ways doesn't make sense. So social media is the best way, in my opinion, these days to build any kind of business, any kind of brand, personal brand, company brand. That is the best way you're going to reach people. It's funny, though. Sometimes you'll put something out that you're like, this is all right. And then that one ends up picking up the most traction, going viral for whatever reason. And then you put some real fire content out that you're like, yes, this one's going to hit. And it doesn't do
Starting point is 00:13:20 nearly as much. So it's definitely a weird kind of thing, weird platform or weird beast to play with. But at the end of the day, it's still going to be the best, the most cost effective, and really the most powerful tool that you can use to build a business. Yes, Gary V's point of consistency, you got to be really consistent every single day and multiple times a day, because you don't know what hits you don't know what goes viral. Let's let's jump really quickly into what you do post. What is your purpose? What are you helping entrepreneurs, men with? Yeah. So we start with the foundation of everything, right? And that's health and fitness. So by dialing in on your nutrition, what you eat, what kind of food you're eating, how much you're eating, you're setting the baseline
Starting point is 00:14:00 of discipline, right? If you can't control what you're putting in your mouth, I guarantee you're undisciplined in at least one or multiple areas of your life. So we start there, fitness, nutrition, and then early wake up, right? Early wake up is a game changer. And I know you've experienced this, but getting up early, earlier than most people are, I get up at 330 every day. I'm not saying you need to get up that early. But if you get up earlier than normal, it gives you hours ahead of the competition. It gives you hours to devote to your personal development without taking away your responsibilities to your family, to your business, to your clients. So that time I use from 3.30 to 6.30 to work on myself. I train,
Starting point is 00:14:36 I go through my meditations, I do my gratitudes, I do all my morning process so that it sets me up to be able to dominate and provide the most value I can throughout the rest of the day. So we we start there. That's the baseline early wake up nutrition and training, right? Working out, getting physical, moving around so you can get into the flow state so that your brain's on point, you're fired up, you're ready to go and dominate. And then from there, we start to bring in more positive habit building tools, daily checklists, these kinds of things to really establish the positive habits are going to allow them to not only level up, but keep leveling up, right? And it's a constant process. This isn't like you're going to reach the top and then you're done and it's over. It's a daily attempt, a daily goal of getting 1% better than the day before.
Starting point is 00:15:20 And by doing that, your whole life levels up. Because when you start with that foundation of health and fitness, that discipline that you build there to always go to the gym when you know you're supposed to, to get up early, to follow a nutrition plan. If you can do those three things without missing, you're going to dominate in every single other aspect of life because you're going to be able to take that discipline and apply it to each one of those things. And it happens quickly. If you commit to it and you don't really have time or you don't give time to negotiate with your inner bitch, everything changes because now you're a disciplined, high level, high value individual who doesn't miss and you don't allow yourself to miss. And then you become dependable. You become even more valuable to the people that you work with,
Starting point is 00:16:01 the people that you live with. It's really that foundation. And from there, the sky's the limit. So we start, like I said, we start with the health and fitness and nutrition. And from there, it's just constant progress day after day. Yeah, I think you said something that, you know, no one wants to do a lot of this stuff. But it's really about, you know, holding yourself accountable to do the things that you don't want to do. So you can be disciplined. I mean, that's the key word there, right?
Starting point is 00:16:28 Like I have meetings. I have things I have to do. I don't want to do in business. But I have to be disciplined enough to actually do them. Because, you know, there's no time management. I think people mistake that, right? The reason why you wake up early is you're trying to steal time for yourself, which is the right way to think about it, right? I can personally vouch when Patrick challenged me to start waking up early. And I didn't think I woke up late, like 6am isn't like I'm a late riser.
Starting point is 00:16:56 But when I started breaking into the 4am is when I saw a massive difference of fulfillment in myself, because I was able to literally accomplish all my personal stuff that I needed to do each and every day. Well before, right, the day really started well before my wife woke up well, well before my daughter woke up, etc. I hit the gym. I read I had I answered emails if I actually had to. It allows you to sleep better because you don't have to worry about stressing out about the thing you didn't accomplish yesterday because you have time in the morning to accomplish it before everyone wakes up. It just is a is a absolute game changer and will absolutely level you up in 15 minute increments made the difference for me like from six to 545 545 to 535 30 to 515.
Starting point is 00:17:41 My body didn't even recognize all of a sudden I'm in the 4 AMs because I just did it over 15 minutes a week consistently. And waking up at 4.45, I started just naturally waking up at 4.30. And my body just was like, all right, dude, this is when you wake up. Let's go. And I'll echo this by saying another thing. My wife is eight and a half months pregnant. We're expecting our second child. It is amazing. But I've also come to the recognition like little infants, they have interesting feeding times, sleep schedules, things of that nature. So I've started to kind of try to adjust prematurely before the kid is here on my schedule. And it's really kind of thrown me off, frankly, right? Because I'm trying to adjust to the kid and arrange it relative to what I believe is going to happen with the new kid.
Starting point is 00:18:28 And I literally told Stephanie this morning, I said, babe, I'm cranky. I'm frustrated. Like, it's just not my jam. Like I need to, I might have to be extreme when I wake up now because, you know, children want to feed at two in the morning, four in the morning, all these different times. And I want to help my wife do that. But that's why I'm actually transitioning into a later workout in the day. The challenge I see with that dude is I'm not working out, I end up rounding off to your push ups, which is fine. It is better than nothing. I get that. But you know, because when you try to work out later in the day, shit happens, calls must happen. You know, your lawyer needs your CFO needs your salesperson needs you things happen that it's not ideal. And so I've been frustrated in the last like four weeks because I've been trying to reschedule my day in a way to fit a brand new baby, which will only really last for,
Starting point is 00:19:17 you know, 30, 45 days, but I wanted to prepare for it. And it's frustrating because I love knocking all that personal stuff out in the morning. Because I don't have the frustration. I don't have that. I didn't hit it. I didn't. I didn't live to my highest self that day, because I didn't go to the gym. I don't have that when I knock it out in the morning. So I just want to echo that for everybody. I feel it every day. And for those of you out there that want to give the bullshit of like, oh, I'm a night owl and I can't wake up early. It's all fucking mental bullshit. You tell yourself there's a reason why the army is so successful. You can't fight it. They train their men and women to wake up extremely early. It doesn't matter whether
Starting point is 00:19:58 they're a night owl or not. They then adopt that and it is their lifestyle forever. You know, that's all I have to say about that for those that just don't believe it. So Patrick, you know, we just kind of went on a rant. I at least went on a rant about the power of waking up early. And that's just a component of what you teach. Let's talk about kind of the mental fortitude I think people need to start to adopt.
Starting point is 00:20:18 And I want to use your example, knowing you personally the way I do, of the hardships you've gone over for the past four, six months, give or take with your wife. Let's talk about that. And let's talk about the mental fortitude that you needed and the ability to make it a pretty seamless, easy, as easy as it is your extreme example could be because you had this alignment and you were able to lean on your structure. You were able to lean on your schedule, you were able to lean on your schedule, you were leaning on all the things that you teach in Level Up Legion. Let's talk about the hardship that you went through and then how you were able to get through that and continue to this day.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Yeah, so that was that was pretty crazy. Back in, let's say August, my wife randomly had a seizure. So I get up at 330. Right. and i was getting up out of bed and she started making some weird noises and i was talking to her i'm like hey you all right you all right no response go over to her side of the bed she's having a full-on seizure choking turning purple i thought she was dying so i'm holding her in my arms thinking she's dying and i'm like what the fuck is going on how And luckily, she stopped seizing, went to the hospital. They're like, oh, you know, 50% of adults will have at least a one time seizure in their life. And then they'll go to like 95 days after that. And then she, the day before Thanksgiving, she had a seizure in the shower. She fell. I heard her in the shower, was able to again, get in there and kind of hold her as she was doing it. And then got her out to
Starting point is 00:21:56 the couch, kind of laid her down as she was like recovering. She went into another seizure. So she had two seizures that day, took her to the hospital again. They still didn't know what was going on. They couldn't figure it out. And then the following week, so the first week of December, she had two more seizures. I was in the shower. She went into the laundry room to get something out of the dryer, ended up essentially shutting down as she was getting the clothes out of the dryer and fell, hit her head, gave herself a concussion as part of the seizure. And then had another seizure about 15 minutes later on the couch again. And that was crazy. It was for my kids. That was the most intense part was seeing
Starting point is 00:22:40 them because they found her on the floor of the laundry room and they came and me. So they were freaking out and they're looking at me like, what do we do? How do we, what's going on? Help us kind of thing. And had this happened, you know, a year and a half ago, a little bit longer, I would have been a shit show. I would have not been able to stand there and be like, hey guys, this is all right. I'm here. We're going to handle this. Mom's going to be okay. And really it was, it was that mindset of, I have to be the lighthouse i have to be that emotional rock for my family that i've been practicing in case some shit went down and unfortunately it did but i was able to call on that right i was able to pull from the inside
Starting point is 00:23:17 the work that i've been putting in and it allowed me to lead the family properly get us through those times and now we are a little bit better. We're a lot better. We have some measures in place to be able to help her now versus before I couldn't do a damn thing. I just had to sit there and hold her and wait for it to happen. Hopefully she wasn't going to fall again, that kind of thing. But I would have lost my shit had I not been working on myself. And it would have been bad for not just me, but my three boys looking up to me to be that, that lighthouse. So it is paramount. And that's, that's why I say like, adversity is going to come to your life. It's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:23:53 That's guaranteed whether or not you're ready for it, that's a hundred percent on you. And the best way to get ready for that adversity is to introduce it to yourself on purpose, micro adversities, or whatever you want to call it, do little hard things consistently to yourself on purpose. Micro adversities or whatever you want to call it, do little hard things consistently to make yourself stronger. Getting up early is a prime example. Hitting your training, following nutrition.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Again, that's why we start there because by doing that, you're making it harder on yourself, but it's making you stronger at the same time. So that is the key there. And that's what worked for me so well. And it was an intense time, man. Like you saw it, you called me and I appreciate you checking in on me, but I didn't know it
Starting point is 00:24:30 was a thing to be able to catch epilepsy at 44 years old. I'd never heard of that. And she doesn't have any history of it in her family. She's never had a seizure before then. So it was a real crazy time to say the least and i i thank god that she's here and i i thank god for the the process and the work that i put in on myself to be able to allow me to to do what i needed to do in that time for my family it was it was huge it was a game changer i i yeah i think people don't you know listen even to myself i don't do the best job of preparing for shitty scenarios right now sure i'm
Starting point is 00:25:05 pretty dialed in right um but you know listen at the end of the day i think there's a your type of client in what you do and how you can help people is pretty much all of humanity right right and be able to mentally get them strong through the physical fitness first, then the mental toughness in your diet. But the reality is, you know, you want to be able to help change the people that are trying to offer value to the world, right? And that's what you really are trying to do. And I think there's a there's a principle in all of this, which is, you never know when your last day is your last day. The only thing that is for certain is we don't make it out of this bitch alive, right? And the only guarantee is that we don't, right? And so it's up to everyone listening to this.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Like, do you want to vibe with Patrick and understand what he's understanding and standing and say, dude, I need to start to level up my shit and get my shit in order because tomorrow could be a terrible day and I need to be ready for it? Or do you just want to continue to exist and just keep your head down and act like everything's perfect? And we all know it's not. And that's on the listener. You guys get to make that decision, right? On what you do. Now, listen, you at least care enough to be listening to this podcast, right? That is for sure. There's,
Starting point is 00:26:23 you know, 10 to 20,000 people in the first week that this is going to come out that are going to be listening. So you guys listening and watching this on justincolby.tv, then you guys, I know you do want something more. If I can tell you guys anything, Patrick is the leader you want to be listening to when it comes to being able to get your shit together mentally, physically, and then way it can roll into the spiritual part of who you are uh again kind of speaking to men being the lighthouse being i call it being the lion of your tribe right so patrick uses lighthouse i say lion right and to be able to be the provider and the caretaker and all the things uh it is massively important for people to be dialed in on that and it is too easily shaken off by,
Starting point is 00:27:05 I just need to make more money or I need to go do this thing. Yeah. Too many people run from it. Too many people run from that responsibility because it is hard work, right? And you know, you're putting so much time and energy into building your business, running your business. A lot of us have let ourselves go. And that's where I was, right? I let myself get soft and squishy. I was lying to myself. Hey, I'm trying to get big. I'm trying to pull all this bullshit. And at the end of the day, I was just undisciplined because it wasn't important to me. I didn't prioritize being a good husband. Not that I was bad, but I didn't prioritize and try and work on that. I didn't prioritize and try and be the best dad
Starting point is 00:27:38 that I could be. And well, there's a difference between good and great. I mean, I'll tell you, I've been asked to do three separate keynotes recently, and I'm excited to do them, but it's because why is to talk about this difference between being good. You were a good husband. You weren't, you know, not abusive, blah, blah, blah, right? You weren't an alcoholic. You didn't get drunk all the time. Like, that's a bad husband. So you were a good husband husband but there is a drastic difference between good and great and that's what people don't understand is do you want to be a good husband and your wife would say yeah he's a good husband or do you want to be the husband that your wife's like i thank god i found this man he is the man i can rely on he is the one that encourages me and supports me and believes in me and loves me and listen, like, do you want that type of response? And so I think that that's where a lot of people, including myself, bro, I like, I constantly think about how I can continue to be leveling up because life gets in the way. I don't want anyone to think me or you have this 100% all figured out. Oh, no, not at all. We probably wouldn't be on
Starting point is 00:28:39 this podcast right now. Right. So right. That's it. And it's it's I'd like to say it's being average or being elite, right? The average just goes through the motions. They do what they have to do to get by and it's okay. Which if you're okay with being okay, then, then cool. This, this message isn't for you, but I know there's a vast majority of us that want more than no, we can be more and just need some accountability, need some inspiration, need some, a fire lit under their ass and and that's what i try and do right because all of us can be elite and that's the thing is like you said i'm nothing special right i'm not some weird anomaly i just made a decision to push myself
Starting point is 00:29:16 for growth to be better for my family and then i haven't negotiated with myself after that that's it i won't i won't do it because it's going to hold me away from being that elite level husband and dad. And to me, that is my first priority. That is my first purpose is to to serve my family well. And then the business. Right. I bring that over to the business as well. It's my priority to serve my clients and give them as much value so that they can do that for their families. And and again, I'm not okay with being average. I don't want to live an average life. And I don't think most people ever dream of,
Starting point is 00:29:50 oh, hey, when I grow up, I want to be average. I just want to get by. I just want to be okay with dad bod and sit and drink beer all day while my kids are wanting to play with me. Yeah. Most of us don't. Well, dude, listen, I negotiate with myself, right?
Starting point is 00:30:02 I'll be honest, bro. I mean, this whole, I negotiate not working out at night. I'm going to shoot you straight. of us don't listen i negotiate with myself right i'll be honest bro i mean this this whole i negotiate not working out at night i'm gonna shoot you straight and i negotiate because i say i know what happened because it's been this way since forever right if we had night practices as a kid i wouldn't be able to go to sleep until way crazy late my parents would be super pissed i'm like i don't what do you want me to do the our practice started at eight it went to ten like i'm fired up um the same thing as an adult right is i don't want to work out too late because then i'm going
Starting point is 00:30:30 to be up late and then it's harder so i negotiate against that well the reality is that's just a excuse and deal with it and so listen none of us are perfect and i'll tell you i'm not perfect but it's something i'm aware of and i think that's the start of it is everyone listening to watching this be aware of what patrick's I think that's the start of it is everyone listening to watching this. Be aware of what Patrick's talking about. That's the start of it. Patrick became aware of he had a bigger purpose than just making some money and providing. He had a bigger purpose. And that's where Level Up Legion came from.
Starting point is 00:30:56 And so if anyone's taking anything away, it needs to be just start with the awareness of what are you trying to fucking do? And are you OK just being a good husband or a good dad? Or do you want to fucking be exceptional? And that's what you got to recognize with. And that's what you got to reconcile with when you look in the mirror. And listen, Patrick, maybe you do. I don't think you do. I don't judge any of you. If you just want to be a good dad and a good business owner, that's fucking awesome. Probably make a good amount of money a year and, and treat your family good. Patrick, myself, we always want to level up, right? Shocker how you named it that way, right? We always want to be better. We always want to be exceptional. And so Patrick, you know, just for the sake of time on this episode, where can everyone start to follow you, find you,
