If you are not intentional with your info diet, if you are not intentional with your body, if you are not intentional with your connections
and you are not intentional with your business, they can all be okay, but they won't flourish.
And for some of you, they might be fucking miserable. They might be awful.
They might be burning to the ground as you're listening or watching this.
It's just a matter of when's enough enough.
When is enough enough and I hope today is enough.
I hope this is the last sign that you need from God
to say I need to change, I need to move,
I need to push forward.
Hope today is this day for you guys.
Yo yo, what is up, entrepreneur DNA.
It is your boy back with a solo episode
but you are gonna wanna listen to this
and watch it on YouTube,
because this could be one of the most
life altering episodes that you hear.
If you're not where you want to be right now,
in your life, in your marriage, in your business,
in parenting, in friendships, in relationships,
your mind, your body, if you're not where you want to be,
then make sure you listen and watch this entire episode.
This entrepreneur DNA episode is gonna be one of the ones that I will point back to
years from now knowing that I am making impact on others, but also even be by me putting it out there,
I'm continuing to put forth what I genuinely believe in, authentically believe in,
and why I've achieved whatever I've achieved
over the last 18 years.
And by the way, I'm not done everybody, I'm not done.
So let's get into this.
I want you guys to try to be in a place,
hopefully somewhere quiet,
somewhere that you can actually really listen to this,
even if you're driving,
make sure you pay really close attention
Maybe try to take some notes on your phone. I don't know. Maybe that's a little
Question mark there in terms of safety, but this is going to be a game-changer
You guys are gonna start hearing me talk a lot about this. I mean a lot about
Your mind your body your connections and your business
about your mind, your body, your connections, and your business.
Okay, so I wanna jump into this right now.
It is something that has been on my heart for years.
I'm known in this space as the real estate investor.
I have a real estate podcast called
The Science of Flipping,
but I needed to make sure what was on my heart
starts to come out to everybody.
I'm not just a real estate investor.
I'm someone who really genuinely believes in certain things
and wants others to understand achieving greatness in life
isn't always materialistic, it isn't always around money,
but that at times can be a motivating factor.
And so I am gonna be pouring into you guys
beyond just real estate moving forward,
whether you hear it here on the Entrepreneur DNA
or on the Science of Flipping or my Instagram,
if you're not following me yet, you absolutely should be.
Go to The Justin Kolbe.
Also on YouTube, go to my YouTube account,
watch these episodes.
So let's jump in.
Listen, your mind is the first place I wanna start.
And the reason why I'm starting with your mind
is because if you've watched any type of documentaries
and you understand the power of what your mind can do,
and I'm not talking woo woo hopeful bullshit,
I'm talking about physically your mind
can melt away cancer, it can melt away tumors.
There's plenty of documentaries out there
with people in the scientific world who,
you know, they feature these interviews
where people had stage five cancer,
or they had a huge tumor in their brain,
and through their way of working with their mind,
they've been able to like essentially dissolve them,
make them go away.
And that's just one little example of the power of your mind.
By little, I mean huge.
Because it's an easy way for me to draw attention
to actually the power of your mind.
So the first thing I would actually hope that you're hearing
is you need to understand the thoughts that you're having
are the same as you talking to yourself.
And you're always listening.
So if you think simple things like I suck,
I'm not good enough, it can never happen to me.
And all these negative victim thoughts,
your life is going to have a ceiling and that ceiling is not going to
be much higher than five to six feet, right, as an analogy. But if you
understand that how you think is ultimately the same as how you talk
about yourself, how you talk to yourself, then you'll start changing how you think
and the best way to change how you think is your info diet.
If you aren't out there trying to become better, if you aren't listening to this podcast,
listening to other podcasts,
listening to audio books, reading nonfiction,
if you aren't trying to be smarter, wiser, more intelligent,
if you aren't trying to understand more,
you will have limitations. And this is so, more intelligent. If you aren't trying to understand more, you will have limitations.
And this is so, so true.
I can't tell you how many times the ceiling
to which someone grows to is only at the height
of whatever they're actually ingesting, right?
If you are watching news, if you're listening
and watching news, if you're all over social media
You're never gonna really have this growth mentally right because you always want what someone else has
But the reality is wanting what someone else has is nonsense because you can have the very same thing
Okay, you can actually achieve
financial greatness marital greatness
parenting greatness, connections and relational greatness,
if you actually try to.
So audit, genuinely audit,
what are you actually listening to?
Don't just kind of guess, but know, like every day,
let me tell you every day a little bit about what I do
in my morning, which is I have a morning ritual and part of that ritual is A, I journal and B,
I read or audiobook.
It doesn't have to be for a long time.
I don't sit there for an hour and read or an hour for and listen,
but I'm always looking to get better.
And I'll tell you right now, one of the most recent audiobooks,
I'll tell you exactly the one I just downloaded
because I finished another one,
but it is called Reset by Dan Heath.
I just finished a great book by Ryan Serhant,
Brand It Like Serhant, right?
Travis Hearn, Pastor Out of Phoenix,
The Fire Is For You, The Let Them Theory, Mel Robbins.
These are all books that I put on Audible
and listen to already. I give you these as examples. Many so far I've loved all four
of those examples. The fire is for us incredible right brand it like Sir Hans everyone knows
Ryan Sir Hans now. Why because he's an incredible branding machine. Mel Robbins the let them
theory one incredible idea of just let them judge the let them theory. What an incredible idea of
just let them judge you, let them say what they're gonna say, let them do what
they're gonna do. You can't control it, you can only control you. Obviously and
then reset. I just downloaded it. Listen, the world is in a crazy place right now.
Businesses are in a crazy place. Finances are in a crazy place. I want to know as
much as I need to know on how to reset what I'm doing.
How do I change what I'm doing? How do I pivot? How do I adapt? How do I maneuver
during this time? Right? So the reason why I'm bringing up the books that I'm
listening to is, hey you should listen to those. Those are great. Read them. They're
great. But it's always about what's going on in my mind, right? And your mind gives
you ability to really change your body.
And I want to jump into your body right now.
I use this analogy a lot.
I just gave a keynote speech down in Orlando, uh, several
hundred investors there.
And, uh, what I really talked about was the analogy in it.
Again, I'm not a fitness guru and I'm not going to give you this, you
know, diet plan or anything like that. But I'll tell you if
you're not achieving as much as you want to achieve, you need to look at your
physical body. How much energy do you have? Now this is going to maybe trigger
some of you and this triggers you and you need to leave that should speak
volumes of you, right? If this gets you a little trigger-y and itchy right now,
it speaks that you know,
you are the person I'm talking to,
you know you need to do better.
And so I wanna go into a little bit deeper layer
of what the body really means.
The body is an example of your standards.
It is an example of what you prioritize.
You see, if you can't control what you put in your mouth,
how does anyone view you about controlling
any part of your life, right?
Any.
Now I'm not telling you,
you can't go out and have some ice cream
after a great Saturday night dinner with your loved ones.
Like I'm not telling you to be crazy.
I'm not the fitness guy.
But if you are overweight,
if you are potentially even obese, if you if you are not fit, and you cannot control
what you're putting into your mouth, then you have your own standards and priorities
issue. So the body to me is a reflection of your standards and your priorities. And you
need to always be leveling up your standards and your priorities. And you need to always be leveling up your standards
and your priorities, which goes back to the mind, right?
You need to understand the same things.
You need to believe, right?
You need to believe that you are worth it.
You need to believe that your children are worth it.
You need to believe you have more to give.
You need to believe that you will have higher energy and you
need to believe that you can actually make more money, have more energy, be a
better parent, be a better husband, be a better wife so that you need to change
your body. If you don't believe that, right, so this goes back to the mind-body
connection, if you don't believe that those things will happen by changing
your body then you never will. Your standards will remain low, your priorities will remain low, and you're
gonna be soft. Maybe you're just soft. I'm not talking necessarily that you're
obese. Maybe you're soft. Maybe you know you don't love your body. Maybe you're a
little shy about your body, but you can change that. You can. Not me. You can. As
many you know I'm constantly on the, juggling multiple businesses, traveling,
and ensuring I get my morning workouts in.
Staying fresh isn't just a preference, it's a necessity.
But let's face it, after back to back meetings, juggling two kids at home, and the hustle
and bustle of everyday life, body odor can become an issue.
But here's the deal, Mandel has revolutionized how I stay fresh.
This isn't just another deodorant,
it's clinically proven to control odor
better than a shower alone with soap.

Like I said, this isn't just about the body and I'm not a fitness guru
I'm just telling you guys if you start to have the belief system of
your mind and
You think the right way and you have the right info diet that will directly relate to your body
Because no one out there who genuinely wants
to live for their kids like I do, right?
I wanna live for my kids now.
I used to just wanna live for myself
when I was single and having fun.
I was selfish, that's fine.
It's okay to be selfish, right?
But now I want longevity, right?
And that longevity is gonna come
from taking care of my body.
I went in a big shout out to peak longevity, by the way,
peak longevity, if you guys are serious,
I went down to Houston to take a CT scan
of my entire body, right?
I wanna see what's going on with my heart,
my liver, my kidneys, my lungs, everything.
Down to my testes, like I want to know
what is going on with my body.
And thankfully, it came back amazing.
The doctors literally you take a CT scan,
the doctors sit with you, they run over all the tests,
you have a blood work done, like everything is done.
And it came back amazing.
I then did the very same thing with an MRI
and got my brain checked out, right?
Wanted to make sure if there's any tumors or cancer
or anything in there, right?
Like did I have any tendencies for a stroke, anything like that, right?
And so it came back great, came back totally clear. Now, that's my
intentionality of making sure my body can last a very long time, as long as I
possibly can, because I want to be here for my kids, I want to be here for my
wife, I want to be here for my grandkids and my great grandkids. Right?
And so, but that is about the belief in the standards
and priorities I set for myself
so that I can have that life.
Okay?
And so there's your mind body connection, right?
And listen, there is a lot of doctors,
there's a lot of studies,
there's a lot of everything well beyond just this episode, but hopefully this episode can help
spur something on inside of you. If you follow me, you admire me, you look up to
me, you listen to me, you watch me, then hopefully this can
trigger you enough to start taking some action, start to look at your standards,
start to look at your priorities and to show up for yourself, to show up
for yourself, right? Because and to show up for yourself, to show up for yourself. Right?
Because if you show up for yourself, you can show up for others.
Right?
And then let's drop it down.
And what I want you guys to imagine as I'm talking to you guys, if you guys aren't watching
this on YouTube, what I want to imagine is kind of the four quadrants.
Right?
So if you're in real estate and you're an investor, then you obviously know Robert Kiyosaki.
And he talks about the four quadrants.
Well, in this sense, I have the four quadrants to mind, body, connections, business.
Yeah.
The alliteration would have been cooler to say mind, body, business, connections.
But I'm not about the alliteration, right?
So mind, body, connections, business.
Now let's go drop down into connections.
Now the important part about connections is it's about the belief system.
Right?
It's about, uh, faith.
It's about trust, right?
Because your connections, both in person with friends and people and colleagues
and, uh, and God are, are as physical as shaking someone's hand
and as spiritual as believing something
that you've never been able to physically feel, right,
with your religion.
Both are incredibly important.
In the connections part,
I really can tell you guys within business,
I've made more money based around the connections
that I have than any dollar amount
in marketing I've ever spent. In large the connections that I have than any dollar amount in marketing
I've ever spent.
In large part, that is why you see now on the entrepreneur DNA, on the science of flipping,
you see it is very much interview based.
That is with intention.
I want to keep cultivating connections.
I want to keep opening doors.
If you're sitting here and you are not as far in business as you would like to be, you need to start thinking about your connections
and your intentions and your priorities, okay? And make that a priority, right? Now
let's talk a little bit about faith in God. I have my own relationship with God.
I do and have gone to church. It is something that I'm grateful for, is
something I'm thankful for. I'm more private than probably many many people
out there. But that same idea, how I want this to be relatable to you guys, is the
same concept of believe it before you see it, believe it without seeing it,
believe it without physically touching it. That same concept of religion and God and Jesus
is the same thing that you need to do
within all of the aspects of your life and
that is what can move over in to business, right?
Business is something that takes the foundation of the first three, the connections, the physical body, and the mind.
And some people will say,
well, my business isn't physical.
I sit behind a desk all day.
Well, bullshit.
Because if you aren't physically ready
to go to war every day and fight those dragons
and have the energy to fight those dragons,
then you're not gonna be able to win the business game.
You need to make sure you're at top tip top shape.
And so business will succeed if you lay the foundations on your mind,
your body and your connections.
And by the way, I didn't want to pass through this major connection
for all those that are out there that are married and have loved ones.
Like that level of connection
needs to be solid.
You don't get to succeed at a high level
with a really shitty marriage.
And by the way, some of this sounds like it's black and white.
I don't mean to make it black and white.
You might be crushing it in business,
absolutely crushing it in business
without a very healthy marriage.
Imagine how far that business could be
if you had a healthy marriage. Imagine how far that business could be if you had a healthy marriage.
Imagine how healthy or how good that business
and how much money that business could be making
if you fixed your marriage.
Now I'm not some 30 year married seasoned vet here.
So I'm not gonna give you all the marriage advice.
But I can tell you if you don't have a wife
or a husband that supports you,
if you don't have the other half loving you and encouraging you
and holding you accountable, I'll tell you right now my Cuban wife holds me
very accountable, very accountable. She is not scared to call me out on my
bullshit, okay? That could be something is like leaving a dish in the sink or like
I could do more with my business and why didn't I do this, that and the other thing to do more with my business.
She will absolutely call me out.
Right.
And it's frustrating initially, but I respect it because all she's trying to do is level
me up.
All she's trying to do is make me better.
She's not trying to piss me off.
She is saying, Hey, you're better than that.
Go do this other thing that you know you should have done in the first place.
Give you a great example.
My real estate business is in a fucking war with this contractor, right?
It's ridiculous.
And this contractor fraudulently did all these different things and it's awful.
And one of the things my wife came home,
because obviously it's pretty consuming,
is it touches and affects the vast majority
of my portfolio, my apartments,
my single-family homes, et cetera, right?
She says, why didn't you have more patience?
And initially, I wanna be like, well, fuck you, right?
Like, stop, I'm already dealing,
that's my initial knee-jerk reaction.
I would never say that to my wife, ever.
But I sat there in my head and I was like,
she's right.
She's 100% right.
And later on that night, I was like,
honey, that's a great point.
That's 100% right.
If I would have been more patient in doing X, Y, and Z, and
instead did A, B, and C along with X, Y, and Z, I may or may not be in this predicament.
Most likely not. Like 99% chance. And so that connection, I want to lay into the connections,
the friends, the colleagues, the wife, the husband, the kids.
Where are you at with that?
And this again goes back to your standards and priorities.
If you have a dysfunctional marriage,
your business is gonna ultimately be dysfunctional.
If your body is overweight and slow and lethargic
and you're tired all the time,
your business is gonna be slow, not moving as
fast, probably not making much money. If your mind isn't right and you're
negative Nancy and you can't get out of your own way and everything is why is
this happening to me, why is this happening to me and you have the victim
mentality, your business isn't gonna get very far. So if you lay the foundation
for the big three mind body and connections
The one that most of you care most about by listening to this your business your business will flourish
Because you fixed your foundation your house is no longer built on sand
Right. It's not a house of cards that's about to fall
You have a solid sprick cement foundation.
And it's not cracking.
It's not breaking.
And your business can move a whole lot faster.
Now, how does your business move a whole lot faster?
Let's talk about your business.
Are you investing in your business?
Now, what does that mean?
Well, no, I'm not just talking about marketing, but I'm talking about like,
are you actively searching out people
who have done your business at a higher level than you have?
Are you finding consultants, coaches, masterminds?
Are you getting involved in those arenas?
Are you investing in the people in your business?
Now again, how many books are out there about business?
How many podcasts and a bajillion, right?
But I'll tell you the things that have helped me
get to where I'm at and I'm nowhere near done.
Nowhere near done.
Is every year I'm investing in coaching, mentors,
consultants, masterminds.
I am trying to get around the people
that are further down the field than I am.
Every year I'm investing in my people. There's a reason why my
general manager of my real estate business has been with me for 10 years.
There's a reason why my social media team has been with me three years, maybe
four years now at this point. There's a reason why they don't leave me, right? I'm
just using a couple examples. It is because I invest in them.
I treat them the right way.
If I'm not investing in my company,
both just with coaching and mentors
and those type of things, but also within the people,
then I'm not being a true leader to this organization.
And that's the role of the leader of the organization
is to invest in their business, right?
And to me, it is people.
It is always people over product. Now product's important, whatever that thing that And to me, it is people. It is always people over product.
Now product's important,
whatever that thing that your business does,
that is important, do not get me wrong.
But I think it's the people.
I'll even use a silly example of like,
if you were a cupcake company,
cupcakes aren't silly and neither are the companies.
It's just silly to me
because I don't do anything with cupcakes.
The product has to be good, for sure. but the only way for that product to be good is have the right recipe and have the right people
make the cupcake invest in your people you ask me to go make you give me the
recipe to the best sprinkles cupcake in the world I'm not making the same damn cupcake that Sprinkles makes. I'm not a cupcake
chef or baker, right? You got to invest in your people. You need to find the right people.
Do not shortchange that investment into your business. And this goes back to your standards
and priorities. I mean, the common theme for all of this will be your standards and priorities. I mean the common theme for all of this will be your standards and priorities. Now the underlying factor, the underlying factor of all this, did
you show up? Did you show up? And for many of you, you might be thinking well what
the fuck? Yeah I showed up. I woke up every day and I showed up. No, no, no. Did you
take care of yourself? Did you take care no, no. Did you take care of yourself?
Did you take care of your mind?
Did you take care of your body?
Did you work on the connections?
And then did you leave it all out on the field
every day in your business?
Did you actually do those things?
Or were you just walking through?
Right, were you just existing?? Were you just existing?
The thing that I try to make myself aware of, this is not just pointed at you guys.
I do the same thing for myself.
In my, it's not in my office, but in my journal, every day I say, you know, what would make
today great is part of what I have to journal.
What would make today great?
And I say that I left it all on the field.
When I get home or when I lay my head down to rest, or when I'm putting my kids
down, whenever that day is actually over, did I leave it all on the field?
Did I show up?
And that is not something I, on this podcast or any coach or any mentor can do for you.
Only you can show up.
Only you know if you showed up.
I've been coaching people for well over a decade, right?
I've coached thousands of real estate investors on investing.
I can literally get them all the way to the water, I could literally throw their bait
into the water like everything.
But if they don't show up,
they're never gonna catch the fish.
They're never gonna get to where they wanna go.
And by the way, I wanna take a step back here.
All of this, you might be okay at all of it.
That's fine.
I don't care if you're okay with all of it.
Do you care if you're okay with all of it?
Does that change you?
Are you not satisfied?
By me calling you out, I guarantee you,
99% of you listening to this are not intentional with what you're ingesting mentally.
You're not intentional with what you're listening. You're not intentional with what you're reading.
You're lazy about it. You do it when it's convenient.
Right? Convenience doesn't work in this sense.
This needs to be consistent.
Same thing with your body. 99% of you are
probably like, I don't really love my body. Some of you might be like, I fucking hate
my body. Are you showing up? Are you showing up? When talking about the body, I tell people
all the time, like when I'm traveling, there's every reason in the world to excuse myself from working out, from doing it, from showing up.
And what goes on in my head is as simple as this.
Something is better than nothing.
Something is better than nothing.
So get my ass up and go do something.
So do I get the world's best workout in when I'm traveling?
No.
Sometimes I have pretty good ones.
But at least I got there.
At least I broke my sweat.
At least I did the one or two or three things
that I could tell myself.
At least I showed up today.
At least I did it because I have every reason to say
why I don't need to or shouldn't or whatever.
Same thing with connections.
Did you show up?
Did you call the friend that you needed to call?
Did you voice note them?
Did you give your wife flowers?
Did you take her on a date?
Did you play with your kids without having the phone in your hand?
Did you show up with your connections?
Did you give thanks to God, to Jesus?
Did you say thank you for everything that has been given to me? Every day my connection to God is
as simple as being grateful and thankful. Every day I wake up in the morning and I
give him thanks. Thank you for my health. Thank you for my wife's health. Thank you
for my kids health. Thank you Jesus. Thank you. And why do I focus on health?
That is why I talk to you about how important the body is.
Because what good is any of it if we don't have our health?
What good is any of it?
I'll tell you it's not.
Because you can't take any of it with you.
You don't get to take your loved ones with you, right?
Like nothing.
So stay healthy so you can live an incredible, big, large, extreme life.
And then business, did you show up or are you just walking through?
Are you just existing?
Your business is only going to give you what you give it.
You won't be able to outpace your business.
Right.
And this goes to another great quote.
I don't even know where I read it. Um, but I know it, which is your success will not outpace
your self development.
Your success will not outpace your self development.
So first of all, congratulations that you guys are here.
If you're still listening to this and still watching this,
that means it matters to you.
That means you actually are not okay with being okay.
You actually are able and willing to do something different.
So I applaud you.
You should applaud yourself,
because you're showing up.
This is showing up.
This is part of it.
Now it's maybe one step on a hundred mile run,
but it's always a step.
And it's a step in the right direction.
So then when you take in account everything
that we just talked about,
what I wanna encourage you is now go home
and start to write out the things that you can do differently
to keep kicking the can down this road, right?
Is what can you do differently for your mind,
the health of your mind?
What can you do differently for the health of your business?
What can you do differently for the health of your body?
And what can you be doing differently
to the health of your connections?
Again, your husband, your wife, your kids, your friends, your family, your colleagues.
This takes intention.
You can't be, uh, unintentional with any of this.
All of it takes intention.
Like you have to be very intentional with what you put in your mind, especially
with all this bullshit on social media, especially with the more bullshit,
if that's even a word, on the news.
You have to be very intentional.
You have to be very intentional
with what you put into your body.
And listen, I'm not here to body shame any of you guys.
I'm not here to tell you what vitamins to take.
I'm not the fitness guy.
I'll tell you, if you have not seen my posts though,
on Instagram and Facebook, I posted a before and after picture because after my wife and I
essentially were pregnant for nine months, I was happy to eat whatever she
wanted. She wanted McDonald's at one in the morning. I would go get McDonald's
and I'd eat it with her, right? And I leaned into that with intention mind you.
But then afterwards I said alright enough is enough my baby's now
I don't know what it was. I guess if he's about to turn a year
so this is like I went strong for 12 to
14 months of just kind of not caring still working out a little bit
But not really caring not being intentional with what I put in my body and working out as hard as I could and being regimented
and when I put some intention behind what I put in my body and working out as hard as I could and being regimented. And when I put some intention behind it, I put a before and after photo of myself on Instagram and Facebook.
And you'll see the difference. I wasn't extreme. I didn't just extreme diet. I didn't even change my diet greatly.
I increased protein probably a little bit more, but I
just stopped eating the shit, right? And I stayed working out intentionally.
And so all of these, right, takes your intention to succeed. And I hope this was a really,
really valuable episode for you guys because it is really all connected. If you are not intentional
with your info diet, if you are not intentional with your body, if you are not intentional with your info diet, if you are not intentional
with your body, if you are not intentional with your connections and you are not intentional
with your business, they can all be okay, but they won't flourish. And for some of you,
they might be fucking miserable. They might be awful. They might be burning to the ground
as you're listening or watching this. It's just a matter of when's enough enough. When is enough enough.
And I hope today is enough.
I hope this is the last sign that you need from God to say,
I need to change.
I need to move.
I need to push forward.
I hope today is this day for you guys.
I love you.
