I'm in one of my least favorite cities in America, probably the least favorite city for me in America.

I'm in Las Vegas. But I'm here for a good reason. I'm going to get an award today. It's a big deal award. It's the Leonard E. Reed Award given to me at Freedom Fest. The head of Freedom Fest, Mark Skousson, said he has never ever given this award twice to the same person. He gave to me five years ago from my book, his eighth, atheism dead. And I debated an atheist at that time. Five years ago, we interviewed John Cleese.

Freedom Fest is wonderful, despite the location. And today, I'm going to get that award in a couple hours. Excuse me. I'm going to get that award in a couple of hours. And then I'm talking. I'm going to sign books and whatever. So I'm in Las Vegas. But I've got to tell you a couple things. A couple things. First of all, in a moment, I'm going to interview Victor Marks for a few minutes. He will, won the Republican nomination for the governorship of Colorado. This is a big deal, folks. We've known Victor Marx for a long time. We'll have them on the program in just a moment.

After Victor Marx, I want to tell you about dinner last night. Chris, you and I, dinner last night with the incomparable legend that is Rich Little. We had dinner last night with Rich Little. He told us at least three stories that our jaws were on the ground. And he did it with impressions while he's telling us the stories. One of the greatest impressionists, one of the greatest entertainers ever. He knew everybody, everybody. And we're going to get him on the program, not today.

But we're going to tell you that story in a few minutes. And then after that, I got to tell you about what's going on with my Revolution book. Kind of a big deal here. Kind of a big deal. They should be making tons of money pushing my book and selling my book. I do not know why they're doing this. Somebody said to me, it's because President Trump endorsed it. And there's somebody in the executive team at Barnes & Noble that hates that or hates my publisher or hates me. I don't know what it is. But I got to tell you, it's almost unbelievable to me that a book that could be selling this well that could be on the top of bestsellerless across country over the course of a month would be you can't find it at bn.com. That's insane. So I want to talk to you more about that.

So right now we're going to go to Victor Marks. He is, as I said, he just won yesterday. He's a friend of ours. We were just with him in Colorado. He won the governorship, the Republican nominee. We're going to go to him. After that, we're going to talk. Chris and I are going to tell you these insane stories.

It's insane. Rich Little was literally like a human fly on the wall for decades in every sort of famous scenario you can imagine. It's insane. It's insane. So we're going to talk about that. Now, but before we go to Victor Marks, Chris, because we just got 10 minutes with him.

But before that, remember when we met him at NRB? Do you want to talk about that for a second? Yeah. I'll never forget meeting him. I was like, who is this guy? It's got to be about five years ago. Yeah, it was maybe even eight years ago or nine years ago. You know, NRB is kind of a human gauntlet.

It's like a giant can of worms inside the biodome. It's like you're basically shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of people. Everybody wants to come on your show. Obviously, we can't. you're everybody. But he walked over. He said, I just got back from Iraq. I was, you know, basically freeing Christians from the hands of ISIS. And here's the bandana that one of the ISIS fighters, you know, that we had to deal with. Here it is. And he kind of threw it on the table. And I looked down and I looked up at him and I was like, yeah, we need to get you on the show like

right now. And I'll never forget it. He had, there was kind of this energy to him. he didn't he was like you don't know who i am but you know no one really knows who i am but like i'm working over there and i've got some great stories we'd love to share them and i was like move this dude to the front of the class immediately so that's what we did now he's he's he's he's pretty much a living legend i mean when you know his story you just think how come everybody in america doesn't know his story it's it's all i keep saying it's almost unbelievable his story is almost unbelievable. He was horribly, horribly, horribly, horribly abused as a child. And he, he's just been through hell. So the fact that he came out on the other side, he is one of the toughest, most wonderful

Christian. Yeah, he's a hero. He's a hero. So, you know, he kind of decided when he was at the hands of the abuse in his family that he was never going to let, you know, himself be harmed in that way again. and then also fight for people that have no one to fight for them. Yeah, I know he's rescued. I mean, anyway, he's just extraordinary. So why don't we do this then? So why don't we go to him right now? And we got him for about 10 minutes.

And then, folks, when we come back, you do not want to miss this. The stories that Rich Little told us yesterday at dinner, you do not want to miss this. It is unbelievable. They involve Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ronald Reagan. I mean, he was there. He was close friends with Reagan. You cannot make this stuff up.

Hey, thank you, Eric. And look, I appreciate you being part of this win. When you were just here a couple of weeks ago, from the platform, you gave me a shout out and encouraged people to vote. And they did. And the people have spoken, and we won. It was a tight race, but we won. And that's what matters.

sure you owe me, Victor. Oh, I do. Your victory is because of me, and I want my audience to know that, ladies and gentlemen. It was me. I was the one. I was the one that tipped it over. Even though you told them to vote for me in California. That was the, you did correct that.

I said it twice. I said, beginning of California. And there I am in Colorado Springs. Yeah. Well, it started with a C. I was close. Seriously, though, Victor, this was a tight race. Yeah.

And why did it take so long days and days for you to come out ahead? I mean, that was one of those moments where, and again, we're talking about the Republican nomination. This is not the Democrats playing around here. This was the Republican nomination. I mean, the fact that it was so close, I didn't expect it to be so close. So I'm particularly thrilled that you won. Well, well, thank you again. And thanks to everyone out there who supported us, volunteered.

to make this happen. We have disrupted the whole political system out here. People are still reeling, including the Republican Party, because I didn't get a lot of love from them. I'll tell you right now, there were over 20 candidates that entered the race. And, man, all they could do was try to keep me out, but it shows what the people want. In regards to the delay in counting,

it was so close that they had to wait. for cured ballots to be in to make sure that I would still be in the lead. And that was the biggest issue, overseas ballots coming in. But I have a lot of confidence in the system here that they did it right. One, because we've, you know, it's too big to rig. The eyes that are on this election is putting pressure on those who might want to do nefarious things if they're tempted to. but I think it was straight up, and no one's challenged it, but now we enter. This was the playoffs, as most people know, now we're heading to the Super Bowl.

Well, so my question is, who will your opponent be? Do you know who your opponent will be in the general? I do. He's a lawyer named Phil Weiser, who's the attorney general. He is an institutionalized government politician who, He came in endorsement yesterday as soon as he found out. And he just said, Victor Marx has no political experience, no understanding of government. The boards of comments just blew up.

And people said, that's why we voted for him. And that's why we're going to vote for him. I mean, of course. If ever we've come to a point where Americans are disgusted with these hacks that are just political hacks. Now, the thing is, though, Colorado has become a blue state. What is your sense of the general election, Victor? I mean, you wouldn't be in this if you didn't think you could win it.

But let's be honest, it's not easy in a state like Colorado. No, and the primary wasn't easy. Again, our campaign and what we did proved that I can win the general. I've got an incredible, committed, experienced team. team and we already have the next three and a half months planned out. It's on my website, Victor, 26.com. But what people want, it is, brother, it's as simple as this. You either get what we've gotten for the last many years and it's put us in this place

and that is all politically driven. Control people, owing folks, doing favors. The waste, and there's even definite fraud in our state, two versus me. An outsider who's a proven leader who can provide solutions for issues, and I'm not beholding to anyone. And this is what's going to allow us to win. Now, it is an uphill battle. The people will decide, just like they did the primary.

but if the politicians continue to promote their way, bigger government, more control, less freedoms, less liberty, the people of Colorado will not stand for it. And I'll tell you what, our plan is stronger than what they have on the inside, the political machine. They've already lined up behind Phil Weiser. The money's going to them. It's an uphill battle. but I think God specializes and showing off on the underdogs. The Bible's full of it, and we're seeing it now. Well, when I think of, obviously, you're now, you're the nominee in Colorado.

It's a dream to think that you could be governor of Colorado. And I know the people out there who are praying for this country, who will pray for you. I hope that some big money in Colorado gets behind you. When I think of Steve Hilton in California and our friend Mike Lindell in Minnesota, these are crazy times we're living in. And you just wonder if your average American is fed up enough to say, I've had enough of these hack politicians and, you know, want to try something new, somebody who actually loves America and who who's for common sense solutions.

That's what I think is so funny, Victor, is that we, and now the Republicans are the party of common sense solutions. That's just not, you know, it's never been, Trump has done that, of course, over the last 10 years. And so it's a different party than it was before. It is. And the GOP has, you know, they've taken a bunch of black guys because of issues internally. And here in this state, it's just been a train wreck.

So I step in, I challenge the system, and I tell folks, I'm not going to run a campaign according to the Republican playbook. You all have lost, and you got used to losing well. We must win the state back. And we shocked everybody. But we touched and got connected to the people of Colorado. And they're like, he's one of us. He's not a politician, and he doesn't give a flying squirrel sack what people think, including the media.

You know, we got boxed out by the legacy media here and even conservative. Everyone said they can't do it. You know, Bob, look, we've proven them wrong, and this is why. The pain point is so high. People want to change. It's important for people to get to know you. I know there are a lot of people that don't know your story. I'm trying to remember.

Did you write a book that tells the story of growing up and whatever you. Yes, I have two books out. The first one is the Victor Mark's story. And it was actually turned into a documentary film. There's over a million views right now on YouTube. People can watch and learn my background. And I'm one of those that, you know, gosh, I came from a very challenged background, struggled as a kid that was abuse, went into the United States Marine,

core and decided to become bitter, refused to be bitter. That was, that's what was pulling me in. And I found there was just a better way. It was found in faith and a desire to serve people who are less fortunate in order to build a better life for them. And that's what we got known for, including helping women and children overseas who have been affected by ISIS. I mean, your story is almost unbelievable.

frankly. I mean, I know it's all true, but it's almost unbelievable. When people hear your story, and I know there are people out there, probably listening right now, people all over Colorado, who do not know your story. When you say challenging, that's typical of you that you would very humbly understate it, challenging. You went through living hell, and you came out on the side of hope and God and helping strangers, helping women and children in foreign countries, fighting ISIS. It's an amazing story, Victor. I want to have you back on the program to tell that story because your story is truly an amazing, genuinely amazing, miraculous story. And Americans need to know and the people of Colorado need to know it. And I hope the Republican establishment of Colorado

will get behind you because this is an opportunity in the state that it's, I can't think of anything like this, really, that's happened in Colorado for a long time. The idea that you could be governor, it would be such a change for this state that has been sliding left, a hard left. It would be a big deal. So your website is Victor 2026, Victor 2026.com. Yes. And I like the one website that is against me. It's very funny. There's an attack website, and it says, this is the page. the opening page, the perfect story for governor or a wolf and sheep's clothing. And I'm like, well, you just made it simple because their accusations and their lies, they literally can't believe what I've come through and what we've done. And so I just stand in truth and go, well, but it was like the debate that was live. The moderator who's a biased knucklehead, he's like, you've either.

live the most incredible life or you're a liar and a con man. I'm like, there are millions that have lived lives like me and came out of it. Can people not overcome tragedy from the past? Can God not redeem? It's this whole mindset of you should stay a victim or you should be, you know, no way. No, Victor, you understand you are a, you're a living rebuke to their victimhood mentality. You are a living rebuke. They hate the idea that somebody could go through what you went through and that God could raise them up to get through it and to be a hope for people. That's just, that's upsetting to them. So they have to call you a liar. You know, and I know, and a lot of your friends know, this is real. You have lived this. Your story, it's just an extraordinary American story.

What a dream it would be. Folks, pray for Victor, pray for the state of color. This would be a huge thing. It is a huge thing that we're even talking about this right now. But I just want to ask you, before we go, where were you when you got the final word yesterday of this victory? Well, we've been waiting for it. And I was at home with my bride. And actually one of my daughters texts me a little screenshot of the checkmark next to Victor Mark's as the winner. And I'll tell you, I never doubted that I was going to win because we really did a whole. heart assessment. And for us, we don't enter something unless we know we have the best chance

of being successful. And I just knew we were going to win the primary against all odds. And now we have the hope and know that we can win the general if the people simply vote and put me there. So we're excited, truly. This is just huge. Victor, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, congratulations. God bless you. God is using you. You're the real deal. I know you. When you told me last night that he had won in Colorado, I was like, are you joking? I mean, I know it was close, but like, this is unbelievable. This is like a movie. This is not, this stuff should not happen in real life. It doesn't. This is really unbelievable. It is. I mean, the fact that Mike Lundell is running in front in Minnesota is insane.

No, it's insane. We're going to get them on the show too this week. Steve Hilton is in California and that we have Victor Marks. I mean, this is a big deal, folks. This is a big deal. Anyway, okay, we promised you, we're now going to tell you about our dinner last night. I posted a picture on X. I should post it on truth social and I should push it on Instagram, all this stuff.

But last night, first of all, we got to tell the background, okay, in case you didn't know, if case you don't know who Rich Little is, because there's people out there, I know anybody younger than me probably is like, who's Rich Little? All right, I was growing up in the 70s. There was nobody more famous than Rich Little. You turn on the TV. I don't care what you're watching. He was there.

You're watching Chico in the man. You're watching any variety special, anything. He was there. The best stuff that he did was the Dean Martin Rose. he was one of the greatest impressionists ever. I mean, who's ever lived. He was brilliantly funny. He could do a Johnny Carson.

He did, I think, the best Johnny Carson we have ever seen, the best ever. And he hosted the Tonight Show 30-something times, folks. He hosted it. So he was on the show a million times. But he hosted the Tonight Show, which is incredible. He was absolutely everywhere. Yeah, Hollywood Squares. he'd be on the love boat, he was on Fantasy Island, you know, he would, you know.

I was going to say he was, he was everywhere. And so to me, the idea that I might someday meet this guy, because I just can't even, I just can't express to you. I mean, the, the Dean Martin roast for me growing up in the 70s, you can look them up on YouTube, they're everywhere, but everybody, all the great stars, Jack Benny, they were all alive when I was a kid, Jack Benny, John Wayne, Lucille, ball to everybody. All of these huge stars were on these roasts. Frank Sinatra, obviously Dean Martin. He's hosting. But I mean, it was just the greatest thing ever. And they

would almost always have Rich Little would get up, do his impressions of Jimmy Stewart. There's one you can look it up where he teaches Jimmy Stewart how to do an impression of Jimmy Stewart. It's brilliant, brilliantly funny. So about a year ago, Chris, You and I went down in Asheville to Twitty City to the TBEN headquarters where Huckabee was taping his last show. And on the show is Rich Little. And because of my friendship and doing a show on TV, and I get to go backstage. I get to meet Rich Little. I just can't believe I'm meeting Rich Little.

He doesn't know or care who I am. But I'm like meeting, you know, it's like meeting John Wayne. I just can't believe I'm meeting him. Well, I was preaching at a church. Now, tomorrow, I'm flying to Dallas and I'll be preaching at Prestonwood Baptist or speaking at Prestonwood Baptist. Jack Graham, the pastor's going to interview me at both services around my book Revolution. And so a week ago, I was speaking in Leesburg, Virginia, Cornerstone Chapel. My friend, Pastor Gary Hamrick, is the pastor there.

And between services, he mentions to me something about meeting with Rich Little. I said, what? you met with Rich Little. Tell me about it. And I said, where's Rich Little today? And he goes, oh, he lives in Las Vegas. I said, Las Vegas. I'm going to be in Las Vegas on Thursday and Friday.

Are you kidding? And maybe he could connect me with him. I email Mike Huckabee, whatever. Long story short, yesterday, Chris, you and I, we take an Uber to a Italian restaurant and we have dinner with Rich Little. and I still can't believe what a humble, sweet man he is, because he was one of the biggest stars ever. He's now 87 years old.

He's still doing three shows a week. If you come to Las Vegas, he's at the horseshoe. I think Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesday nights, he's got a show. It's unbelievable. But the story told. I feel like we got a little sampling of the show, little moments. He would kind of let out. He was being humble.

He probably could have done the whole show for us, and it would have been amazing. Yeah, he told stories more than he did impressions, but the impressions, of course, you can't keep them out, you know, with him, they're going to bleed out. But I feel like we should back up a little bit and just, just for the color of it, just describe how hot it is in Las Vegas right now.

I feel like it hit 115 yesterday. We're not used to such heat. 115, folks. This is on the surface of the planet Earth. Yes. I get off the plane last night yesterday. You and I was, it was like 2 o'clock. in the afternoon. We get off the plane. I look at my phone. It's 110 degrees. Then you have to go out

and get an Uber. So you have to walk into the 110 degree heat. And I'm not, you know, I was not dressed for 110 degree heat. No one is ever. In fact, if you're closed, you're not dressed for 110 degree heat. Yeah, you told me it was 110 on biotex. And I suggested that maybe we get some aluminum foil clothing that we could just create it. You know, cover yourself in aluminum foil to shield off all of the wicked rays. Anyway, it's that hot. So we get to the restaurant and we sit down. And I guess there are three stories that I think we have to mention that he told. First of all, and he tells us as kind of like, you know, I was with Jimmy, you know, and you're like, wait a minute, you're talking about, you're standing there. This is, it was either 1981 or 1985, James.

I don't know which one it was, probably 81. I think it was 81, yeah. Ronald Reagan. Yeah. And he said that he's standing there. Now, he spent time with these guys for the last 10 years before that, the 70s, because he's so famous. He said he's standing there with Frank Sinatra backstage and Dean Martin backstage, about to go on for the inaugural festivities. because let's face it, Ronald Reagan's a big Hollywood guy, so his inaugural is filled with celebrities and Don Rickles and everybody.

And he said that Dean Martin shows up bombed. Bombed is an old-fashioned term for drunk. And Dean Martin, you know, that was part of his schick for years that he would pretend always to be kind of half drunk, but he wasn't. But he did drink. and this time he shows up, he's bombed. And imagine that last night we're sitting there with Rich Little, who's telling us that 45 years ago, he was standing there while Dean Martin shows up bombed.

And Frank Sinatra tells Dean Martin, Dean, you're not going on. As your friend, I am telling you, you need to go home, go to your hotel, you are not going on. I'm your friend. I'm not going to let you go on. And Dean Martin's arguing with Frank Sinatra.

And Frank is telling him, as your friend, I'm telling you, you are not going on the stage. So he makes him go back to his room because it would have been, we'd be watching it on, on YouTube right now because it was, he was that drunk. Yeah, he said, you know, as your friend, you know, you'll wake up tomorrow and wish you hadn't done it. And I want to spare you that. you should just, you need to go back to the hotel. So he did. But the fact that we're sitting there with Rich Little telling us that he was there when this happened. I mean, there's all kinds of crazy stuff that happens and you hear about it from somebody.

Rich Little was standing there while he sees this drama played out. And he kind of acts like just another story. He then tells us that he. I was just going to say the other thing he mentioned about Dean is that I think he started drinking a bit more after he had a son who passed away. and so that was kind of the thing he didn't, you know, maybe didn't drink as much during the roast things like people thought. Oh, no, no, no, no. The roast stuff happened in the 70s, but I can't remember what year, but it's around that time.

It's like the early 80s when Dean Martin's beloved, beloved son was killed either in a car crash or a plane crash. I can't remember, but it was horrifying. And everybody knew him says it just, he never recovered from that. And then the other little detail he mentioned about Dean Martin was being back. stage about to go on to tape one of these famous roasts and Dean's, unless he was doing a bit, seemed to earnestly not know who they were about to go tape the roast for. And he says to Rich, oh, yeah, who are we roasting again? And Rich says, it's Michael Landon. And he says, oh, yeah, oh, he's a good choice. Yeah, that's, uh, we don't know if that's one of those, if he's,

if he was playing a game. It's impossible to know because everybody who knew Dean Martin said that he was deliberately unprepared. He would just read the cue cards and kind of float through it and then go home. He was not like, you know, prepping for this stuff. Okay, so Rich Little tells another story about this is, again, this is unbelievable. He was Ronald Reagan's favorite entertainer. So he was at the White House a million times. Reagan and Nancy loved him.

Now, he also performed for the Nixon's. He was his impression of Richard Nixon. Nixon was the most famous of the time. It was brilliantly done. And he says when he performed for the Nixon's, Pat Nixon asked who's he doing? Who's he supposed to be? She didn't understand that this was an impression of her husband. Anyway, that's the early 70s.

But he also said that at one point, this is unbelievable. He says he was with Reagan. So they're buddies. Yeah, and I think his impression of Reagan was probably, maybe, the most famous impression that I remember him doing. It was. It was unbelievable. His was the most, was the most famous impression of Ronald Reagan. So he's friends with Reagan. He's hanging out with Reagan. And one day he was talking to Reagan about impressions because this is, again, Rich Little reveals this to us last night at dinner. He says, because Reagan did a few impressions. Now, we think of

somebody doing an impression of Reagan. We don't think of Reagan doing impressions. But Let's not forget, Reagan was a Hollywood film actor. He was an actor. He had talent. We forget about that. We just think of him as the man who, you know, crushed the Soviet Union in the Cold War. But before that, he was an actor in B films. And so he's sitting there with Rich Little, according to what Rich tells us last night, saying, yeah, I do some impressions.

And I think he did a little, a little Jimmy Stewart. But he said, but the one that I'm not. Yeah, he said, doing little John Wayne. He said, yeah, Jimmy Stork. And, yeah, just he was kind of trying them out for Rich Little, kind of like, hey, I was, how are these? But the one that he wanted to do and that he was having trouble with, this is Ronald Reagan talking to Rich Little, is, was Truman Capote. Now, the idea of Ronald Reagan doing Truman Capote seems, again, seems made up. It doesn't seem possible in any world, in any alternative universe that President Ronald Reagan would know who Truman Capote is, much less want to do an impression of him.

But to be fair, I remember in the 70s, everybody was trying to do Truman Capote because his, I could do Truman Capote right now. If I weren't in Vegas, if I were home, I'd feel comfortable. I would do it. Yeah, he was kind of effeminate with odd mannerisms and demeanor. Yeah. Yeah. He was, but he was just like kind of weird too. I just tend, I don't want to do it on this program. I'm too embarrassed. But, but he had a way.

He, he, it was very, anyway. It was a little creepy. There was a little creepy quality too. Definitely, yes, yes. No, Truman Capote was, was a living caricature, as a lot of these folks tend to be at some point. But I guess Ronald Reagan, as he's talking to Rich Little, which is telling us that, Reagan's problem is he didn't know what to say as Capote. And Rich Little gave him a line, which the Secret Service wrote down for this is what you want to say as Truman Capote. This would be a good line for Truman Capote. Now, of course, oh, yeah, I remember the line.

It was something about a lot of people, something about a lot of people, you know. Don't, yeah, a lot of people don't believe that I wrote True Blas. or something like... Don't believe that I wrote in cold blood. See, I'm not going to do my Capote, but they don't believe that I wrote in cold blood. And he says, and that's true, I wrote it in ink.

Kind of a corny, stupid joke. But if you're familiar with Ronald Reagan and Truman Capote, it's kind of an apt joke. But the fact that Rich Little last night is telling us how he's coaching President Reagan in doing Truman Kim. It's insane. Are we making this up?

No. This is our conversation last night. But there was more. There was more. He tells us, and I know we're going to forget some of these, he was telling us that Paul Lynn hated Rich Little's impression of Paul Lynn. Because Paul Lynn, you know, he was famously closeted, a famously closeted gay. and he was very funny and very exaggerated and frankly hilarious. Paul Lynn is just one of the greats.

He was the Center Square in Hollywood Squares, and Rich Little would appear in Hollywood Squares with him. But when Rich Little did his impressions of Paul Lynn, obviously he's exaggerating what is already an exaggerated kind of persona. And I think it seems that Paul Lynn just didn't like it because it made him more ridiculous than he really was and he actually didn't like it. Pauline's a sad figure. I really talk about somebody I would have loved to meet. I had the privilege of meeting Vincent Price. We didn't get to talk to Rich last night about Vincent Price.

He would do a great Vincent Price. Next time, we're going to have to find an excuse, Chris, to have him on this program to see if he can do some of these characters. We're going to get him on and he can share some of these stories. But yeah, his characters are still, I mean, they're fantastic. I wish we could have seen his show. I want to come back and see his show. actually. See, that's the thing. It's like if ever, I mean, I'm going to come back to Las Vegas to see

his show. And some of you know that I'm friends with Pastor Mike Thompson, who is in Las Vegas, who's written many books. He's a prophetic voice. He's been on this program many times. I've written the forward to both his books, The Lions Army and Third Heaven Authority. He's in Las Vegas. I don't get to see him this time because we've got to go leave early tomorrow morning. but, you know, maybe we'll make an excuse to come back here. So, but, all right, so before we go, there was another story that he told, which, now this is funny because I flatter myself to think that I know everything about show business in the 1970s because I was there and I, you know, whatever.

Well, last night, we're just talking about different comics and the name Sid Caesar comes up. And Rich Little says that he didn't like Sid Caesar or didn't find him funny or something. like that. And so there's a conversation at the table because there's others there. And he says, the reason he didn't like him was because Julie Andrews had a variety show. Now, this is where I said, wait a second, I think I'd remember that. I don't remember Julie Andrews having a variety show. He says, yes, she had a variety show. And of course, I looked it up later. It was short-lived, and it was 1972 to 73. So just for a few months, Julie Andrews had a variety show. Somehow I missed it. Why? Well, because I was nine years old. That's why I missed it. So she had a variety show, and he says on the variety show, I was there, and they were doing a godfather skit. When he tells that, I know right away, it's 1972, because everybody's doing a godfather skit. And he says, during the godfather skit, Julie Andrews, if you can believe this, is playing the role of Michael Corleone. That's, you know, the Al Pacino character. And Sid Caesar is playing the role of the godfather, Marlon Brando. And Rich Little says the reason he's, you know, the reason he's, you know, the Al Pacino character. And Rich Little says, the reason he's, he's

didn't like Sid Caesar was because in the scene while they're there, not rehearsing while they're shooting it, Sid Caesar in the role of the godfather, Marlon Brando, embraces Michael so heartily that Julie Andrews screams in pain. And he bruised one of her ribs. He hugged her so hard that that she screamed in pain and one of her ribs was bruised. And Rich Little last night at the dinner, you could see he was angry at Sid Cesar. Like he didn't need to do that. He didn't need to do that.

We were trying to figure out, well, yeah. What his beef was with Cesar? Caesar because we liked him. But yeah, he said he could still remember the noise. It was almost like he was kind of went off and relived it for a second and came back. He was like, yeah, it was terrible. So what a strange story, you know? Incredibly strange.

Yeah. But there are others now that we're going to forget. But we have to get him on this program. I gave him a copy of my Revolution book. He's a patriot. He loves America. Obviously, he loved Ronald Reagan and Mike Huckabee, because he was on the Huckabee show so many times. He's just an American hero.

And I feel like it's a big gift from the Lord to me that I got to have dinner with him. not just have dinner with him, but to have Chris Himes with me to remember what he said. Because I just, I'm living so much in the moment that I forget all this stuff. Yeah, and I was a kid watching him on all these shows because I was a TV junkie. And I was just, you know, it made me want to go back and rewatch the episodes of Love Boat and Fantasy Island and all these other things that he did. Because I remember them, but not well enough to really remember them. So I'm going to go back and watch them. I mean, I can remember him doing, like, I can remember names of folks.

folks back then. Shields and Yarnel was a mime duo. They were huge in the 70s. They had a variety show, very short-lived, like one of these summer things. I remember him being on that show. He was on everything. I mean, if you wanted a guest host, I mean, you wanted a guest, boom, Richel. You know we're going to get Rich Little, right? So he did absolutely everything. All right, we got a couple of minutes left here. I want to make my pitch to this audience. I said it beforehand, before we went to Victor Marx. There is a concerted effort to squelch my book, Revolution. Why?

Well, because the left is so unhinged that a straightforward retelling of the birth of America offends them. They're offended by the idea that God was central in the story, that all the players involved believed that God was central to the story. you know, even if you don't like it, these are the facts. And so the left is so inhinged that they are working hard to make sure that my book just goes away.

And so I have to say it really matters to the nation that we know our story. So I'm saying to you right now that the book is in danger of disappearing because, you know, you get past July 4th, interest in this kind of stuff, wanes. It shouldn't. Everybody all summer long should be talking about, this is our super centennial, these are our stories. People who are reading the book, I'm thrilled to say, are raving to

me about how readable it is. Mark Helprin, the great novelist, Mark Helper. I mean, he's, I think, the greatest living writer today. He yesterday sent me an endorsement of the book, which I posted on X. It is so beautiful coming from somebody that I admire him as our greatest living writer. I mean, I can't think of anybody. There's nobody that compares to Mark Helprin. And he read my book and his review of it is so beautiful. I would read it to you, but maybe that's a little much. But it was so beautiful. I posted it on X and I'll put it on my website. But so yeah, it's actually readable. And I hope you'll read it. I hope you'll buy copies. I hope, again, I say this.
